        From Introduction (front flap) to the book, The Gulf Breeze Sightings, by Ed and Frances Walters:

On November 11, 1987, Ed Walters, a prosperous builder-contractor in the exclusive Community of Gulf Breeze, Florida, saw a peculiar light shing through a tall pine tree in his front yard.  He could see that the glow was unusual -- quite different from any of the commonplace planes and heliopters from the nearby naval air station that frequently populated the skies of Gulf Breeze.  He stepped outside and saw a bluish gray craft like none he had ever seen before.  It was intensely quiet, and Ed was intenesly frightened.  He rushed back into the house and grabbed the old Polaroid camera that was a a part of his work gear as a builder.  And he took photos.

The sightings continued and were shared by his wife and family.  Ed's photos were published -- anonymously -- in the local weekly newspaper, and the sightings were corroborated by hundreds of residents in the Gulf Breeze area -- residents in the Gulf breeze area -- priests, politicians, judges, policemen, soldeirs, ordinary middle clas citizens.

Today Gulf Breeze, in Florida, is known as one of the worlds top UFO hot spots. Sightings are being made and UFOs photographed and videoed all the time. Check out the Gulf Breeze Skywatch Diary to see the latest news from the area. 

But it all started with a building contractor called Ed Walters. On the 11th of November 1987 Ed was working in his home office when he noticed a light moving outside, partially obscured by the pine tree in his yard. To get a better look Ed went out of the front door, and could see that the light was in fact a glowing bluish-gray craft like none he had seen before. 

Ed rushed back into his office to grab his Polaroid camera which he used on job sights and stepped out onto the porch again. As the craft came from behind the tree he took his first photo. He watched for a moment and then, "Bang! Something hit me. All over my body, I tried to lift my arms, I couldn't move them. They were blue, I was blue, everything was blue. I was in a blue light beam. I was trying to breathe but my chest wouldn't expand. My feet lifted off the floor, a voice groaned in my head, " We will not harm you." I screamed, the voice said "Calm down." I screamed "Put me down!" No control, just a piecing smell, a little scent of ammonia mixed with heavy cinnamon that scorched, the stuck to, the back of my throat. A hum filled my head. Wham! I hit the ground, the blue light was gone. The hum was still in my head but quickly decreased and was gone." 

On November the 20th the hum returned, and with it Ed could hear voices, as if he was listening in on a conversation. He went out side and saw a small speck of light falling at great speed. He took photo 6 as the UFO suddenly dropped its fall and hung in the sky. This photo has been light blasted and enhanced in this version. 

It is this hum which Ed hears when ever the UFO comes close that has enabled him to photograph it so many times. 

On the 2nd of December Ed's house was visited again. At about 3.30 am Ed was awakened by the sound of his dog barking just once. He went to investigate and on opening the blinds on his French doors he was confronted by a four foot tall creature with big black eyes. Ed screamed and fell backwards, the creature looked at him for a moment the walked away. "I gave chase. As my feet left the shelter of the back porch I was hit by the blue beam and held immobile while the creature fled into the vacant field at the back of my house. As soon as I could move I ret rived my camera and took this picture of the UFO shooting the blue beam into the field. I believe that it was picking up the creature I had seen." 

Just before sunrise on December 5th, this UFO hovered above the tree line near the high school about a block from Ed's house. "The UFO moved towards me, I heard the voice say 'Do not resist...Zehaas.'" 

This is just a small introduction to the story of Ed and the UFO. He would go on to photograph it many times, with his polaroid, a special four lens sealed camera given to him by MUFON, a stereo Polaroid which allowed the UFO to be ranged and a video camera. 'Metal sphere' discovered in the stratosphere

A controversial new claim suggests that evidence of 'directed panspermia' has been found by scientists.

Astrobiologist Milton Wainwright and his team are no strangers to controversy having previously announced the discovery of what they believe to be evidence of extraterrestrial life in samples retrieved from high up in the stratosphere of our own planet.

Now the researchers are back with a new theory suggesting that a microscopic metal sphere also found in the stratosphere represents evidence that an advanced extraterrestrial race deliberately seeded the Earth with life at some point in the distant past.

Known as directed panspermia, the theory implies that life on our planet was neither an accident nor a natural process but instead a direct result of intervention from another world.

The main basis of the claim, the tiny metal sphere found in the samples, is described as having "filamentous life on the outside and a gooey biological material oozing from its centre."

"One theory is it was sent to Earth by some unknown civilization in order to continue seeding the planet with life," said Wainright. "This seeming piece of science fiction - called 'directed panspermia' - would probably not be taken seriously by any scientist were it not for the fact that it was very seriously suggested by the Nobel Prize winner of DNA fame, Francis Crick."

Even Wainright himself however admits that this evidence alone is never going to be enough.

"Unless, of course, we can find details of the civilization that is supposed to have sent it in this respect, it is probably an unprovable theory," he said.

An oil rig worker who was notoriously fired for saying he believed he saw MH370 "come down" today insisted he thinks the official search for the Malaysian jet is happening in the wrong place.

In his first detailed interview since he sent out an email to officials relaying what he thought might be the Boeing 777 aircraft, Mike McKay, 57, told MailOnline: "Almost a year has passed, but I stand by what I saw.

"I've thought about it and thought about it, over and over and while I cannot say for certain that the burning object in the sky was definitely MH370, the timing fits in with when the Malaysian plane lost contact. I have been trying to disprove that what I saw was the aeroplane ever since."

And so far he has failed to disprove it. Speaking at his Auckland home where he now sits out his days after losing his job as a result of sending out the email on his company computer on the rig off the south of Vietnam, Mr McKay said that everyone believed he had said with certainty that he saw MH370 crash in flames into the South China Sea.

"Unfortunately my words were misinterpreted. I was careful to say that I 'believed' I saw the aircraft come down. The email was never for public consumption.

"And if it was the plane that has been missing for so long, then the search in the southern Indian Ocean is clearly in the wrong place."

Rare condition leaves man unable to feel pain

Steve Pete has broken bones more times than he can count and once chewed part of his own tongue off.

The 33-year-old also shattered his arm so badly he initially didn’t even realise he was hurt until he saw the bones poking out.

While his injuries sound horrific, and no doubt are, Mr Pete has no idea he has even injured himself because he can’t feel pain.

The American suffers from congenital analgesia or congenital insensitivity to pain. While this has obvious plus sides, there are a lot more disadvantages than people realize.

“I’ve had so many injuries over the years that it’s hard to recall,” he told news.com.au from his home in Kelso, Washington State.

“I’ve broken so many bones. One time in the playground at school I was on the swing set going back and forth.

“I jumped off the swing, landed incorrectly and my bones shattered in my right arm.

“I didn’t feel it but there was bone sticking out, which was a pretty good indication I’d injured myself.”

Mr Pete, whose brother Chris also suffers with the same condition, said he was a baby when his parents realised something was seriously wrong after he chewed off part of his tongue, and he underwent a series of tests.

Location: Kremenchung, Ukraine - February 23, 1991 - night

After coming back from work at a local bakery, the witness A. S. Tkachuk was trying to fall sleep when suddenly she felt a pair of strong hands gripping her around the throat. Opening her eyes she is terrified to see only at about 30cms from her a strange humanoid with a face similar to humans but completely covered with hair. Around its black eyes the hair was somewhat shorter and humanoid appeared to have two short horns on top of its head. The witness attempted to struggle and grabbed the creature’s hands with her hands. The creature’s fingers were short and the hand’s were more human than animal according to the witness, covered with fur and warm to the touch. The creature’s fur was dark-chestnut in color; it seemed to be short in stature its arms corresponding to that of a 5-6 year old child. The witness attempted to push the creature’s hands away from her throat but the creature was incredibly strong. She somehow “understood” that the creature was male but did not see any genitalia. The witness then realized that she would not be able to escape from creature’s grip and ceased to resist, immediately thereafter the creature let her go and disappeared. The witness remained paralyzed with fear and unable to speak in bed for a long time.

Location: Near Murmansk, Siberia, Russia - Summer 1995 - 8:30 PM

Two men were riding a car on a local road outside of Murmansk, despite being evening it was still light out. The road was about 4 meters wide and was asphalt and surrounded by fields of tall canes on both sides. The road was straight and there was excellent visibility. Suddenly at approximately 15-20 meters in front of the car a strange creature was seen running across the road. The creature looked bird-like and it was visibly huge. The entity had long legs, about 2 meters long, dark feathers along the back and an odd shaped body. Unfortunately the witnesses were unable to see any additional details, but discerned that the strange ‘bird’ was similar to a ‘running reptile’. They stopped the car but realized that it was useless to look for the strange entity amid the dense cane fields. Later one of the witnesses while reading a book on dinosaurs, found a picture that depicted almost exactly what he and his friend had seen. The image was later identified as a dinosaur from the order of Ornithischia Local naturalists stated that no species of ‘animal’ fitting the description lived in the region.

Location: Naryan-Mar, Nenets Autonomous Region, Russia - 1994 - afternoon

Several deer herders watched a large metallic disc-shaped object descend and land among a herd of deer. Immediately from the craft emerged several short humanoid figures, while ignoring the stunned herders, began to conduct on the seemingly paralyzed animals what appeared to be ‘surgical operations’. One of the shepherds approached the group of aliens, intending to drive them away. However the other men watched as the herder apparently came under the same hypnotic control that had affected the herd. Without trying to escape he approached the aliens and ‘voluntarily gave himself to them’. His body was found the next day, completely drained of blood, his genitalia removed along with the prostrate and pancreas; also several pieces of skin were removed in other parts of the body.

Local laborer Florencio Arellano was performing his morning chores and was sitting on his tractor preparing to go into the fields when he suddenly looked to the nearby trees and noticed a strange figure with its arms outstretched and staring at Arellano. The figure was at least 3 meters and a half in height and wore a white tunic. It stood without moving staring at Arellano. The figure’s clothing was very white and the entity seemed to have pale features. The witness sat stunned on his tractor and stared back at the figure for about 3 minutes when it suddenly just vanished in plain sight. He took the encounter as a “sign from God”.

Location: Lake Gwelup near Perth, Western Australia - June 1984 - midnight

The night of the full moon the witness had taken her dog out for a walk to a nearby lake reserve and was walking under some gum trees when she came upon a clearing. As she attempted to cross the clearing she noticed some figures in distance moving towards her. Judging from their height, she thought it was some boys. She also observed a white object that was moving alongside the short figures. Being alone she thought it was prudent to hide behind some trees as the “boys” passed by.

As she crouched with her dog she watched them approach. She slowly became aware that the figures were actually small humanoids; about 3 ft tall whose arms and legs seemed to be too long for their bodies. They moved with a strange gait, almost ape-like and seemed to be unclothed with dark grayish skin. As she watched in amazement the bouncing white object revealed itself as a rolling ball of light trailing behind the short figures. Suddenly the leader lifted his strange long arm high in the air and let out a spine tingling cry, and at this point her dog with her tail between her legs left her behind. The creatures then themselves disappeared into a thicket of lupines not far off.

This experienced was followed up the following night when her cousin, on hearing of her encounter, somehow persuaded her to return to the lake with him, armed with a camera. They did not see any strange creatures but were buzzed by a large craft of white light, which hovered several times over the clearing. Her cousin possible took some pictures of the object.

Location : Saucedilla, Caceres, Spain - October 17 1984 - 10:30 pm

14-year old Mari Carmen Ramos was walking back home along Gonzalez Amezqueta Avenue, a wide and deserted road. Suddenly as if obeying some invisible instinct she sensed something strange. She looked around apprehensively. After advancing a few steps she noticed somebody approaching in the opposite direction. An unnatural cold and wind filled the air around her. Looking up she noticed what appeared to be a “woman” of considerable height and wearing all black approaching her position at a very high and unnatural rate of speed. It had apparently moved over one hundred meters in a matter of seconds.

Ramos stopped to observe the bizarre figure and noticed that it appeared to slide over the ground effortlessly. It kept its arms rigidly on its side. Its face appeared to be encased in shadows and no features could be seen. The bizarre woman was over 3 meters in height and was moving at very high speed towards the witness who felt petrified with fear and was unable to move. In moments the tall black clad figure shot across in an angle crossing the road and into an adjacent alleyway.

After it had gone the witness looked into the alley and was surprised to see that the figure had completely disappeared.

Location : Santa Lucia, Cabaiguan, Cuba - 1964 - late afternoon

Rodolfo Garcia, was resting after lunch in the tobacco shed, which he found to be cool and quiet. On that afternoon he looked up and saw a ‘man’ wearing a strange outfit. Its face and hands were green, like that of a frog and it had large round protruding eyes. It didn’t have any ears and its mouth was a thin line, it was about as tall as two men and stood on a wooded box staring at the witness.

Terrified Garcia watched as the strange creature seemed to be trying to tell him something. Suddenly it emitted a loud shrieking sound which caused the witness’s eardrums to burst and his ears to bleed. In pain, the witness then fell from his cot. At the same time the creature emitted a second shriek which caused the witness to loose consciousness. Later he was found by one of his sons since the family was concerned that Rodolfo had not returned from his nap. After he told the rest what he had seen they armed themselves with rifles and machetes and searched the tobacco shed but found nothing.

Parallel worlds exist and interact with our world, say physicists

February 19, 2015 - Quantum mechanics, though firmly tested, is so weird and anti-intuitive that famed physicist Richard Feynman once remarked, "I think I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics." Attempts to explain some of the bizarre consequences of quantum theory have led to some mind-bending ideas, such as the Copenhagen interpretation and the many-worlds interpretation. 

Now there's a new theory on the block, called the "many interacting worlds" hypothesis (MIW), and the idea is just as profound as it sounds. The theory suggests not only that parallel worlds exist, but that they interact with our world on the quantum level and are thus detectable. Though still speculative, the theory may help to finally explain some of the bizarre consequences inherent in quantum mechanics, reports RT.com.

The theory is a spin-off of the many-worlds interpretation in quantum mechanics — an idea that posits that all possible alternative histories and futures are real, each representing an actual, though parallel, world. One problem with the many-worlds interpretation, however, has been that it is fundamentally untestable, since observations can only be made in our world. Happenings in these proposed "parallel" worlds can thus only be imagined.

MIW, however, says otherwise. It suggests that parallel worlds can interact on the quantum level, and in fact that they do.

"The idea of parallel universes in quantum mechanics has been around since 1957," explained Howard Wiseman, a physicist at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, and one of the physicists to come up with MIW. "In the well-known ‘Many-Worlds Interpretation’, each universe branches into a bunch of new universes every time a quantum measurement is made. All possibilities are therefore realised – in some universes the dinosaur-killing asteroid missed Earth. In others, Australia was colonised by the Portuguese."

"But critics question the reality of these other universes, since they do not influence our universe at all," he added. "On this score, our "Many Interacting Worlds" approach is completely different, as its name implies."

Wiseman and colleagues have proposed that there exists "a universal force of repulsion between ‘nearby’ (i.e. similar) worlds, which tends to make them more dissimilar." Quantum effects can be explained by factoring in this force, they propose.

Whether or not the math holds true will be the ultimate test for this theory. Does it or does it not properly predict quantum effects mathematically? But the theory is certain to provide plenty of fodder for the imagination.

For instance, when asked about whether their theory might entail the possibility that humans could someday interact with other worlds, Wiseman said: "It's not part of our theory. But the idea of [human] interactions with other universes is no longer pure fantasy."

BLACK TRIANGLE UFO FILMED OVER ROYORSFORD, PA by Joseph del Greco. 

Some of the best footage to date of the infamous and elusive black triangle has been submitted to MUFON on today, the 12th of January. The sighting took place in Royorsford, Pennsylvania back in July of 2013 when the witness states that they were driving home from the local 7/11 on a warm summer night. The witness reports seeing the triangular object hovering over houses that were around 3,500 sq. feet in size, to give a size reference to the object. The viewer was not alone however, and had two other witnesses with him or her in the vehicle.More..

UFO SPOTTED AND VIDEOTAPED OVER LIMA, PERU  by Scott Corrales.

This isn't the first video recording of an unidentified object, but documents of this sort are always impressive. On February 10, 2015, user Eduardo Chavez Guerra uploaded this video to YouTube showing a strange even. Close Encounter With A Hugh Ufo Triangle Over New Jersey

CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH A HUGH UFO TRIANGLE OVER NEW JERSEY
JANUARY 7, 2015    ………    MONROE TOWNSHIP NEW JERSEY

I witnessed a large black triangle shape Flying Object with very bright flashing alternate color lights (matched description the description of the person who reported a Flying Object over Baskng Ridge, NJ).  I was out in my side yard walking the dog when I heard a very strong rumbling hum coming from across the street. I turned around and saw a very low flying aircraft coming over the tree tops of the field across the street. I stood there and watched it approach me and fly right over my head. I was looking directly up into its undercarraige. There were extremely bright colored flashing lights in varying colors of red, blue, white and maybe green. I could feel the vibration of the rumbling hum just like you would “feel” a low flying helicopter thumping overhead. It did not have a sound of propoltion; it was more of a hovering sound. Even the dog looked straight up in the air to see what he was hearing and feeling. He cowered a little, but didn’t bolt. It was movin very slowand I worried about it falling out of the sky onto our heads. Its size was large like an aircraft.

There is 50′ of grass between the edge of our house and the woods next door. The aircraft going over my head spanned that entire distance and more. It was only maybe 50-100 feet above the tree tops and roof (two stories). It continued across the back of my yard and across the next two neihbor’s (no trees/a few acres) back yards; when it reached the next treeline it turned south. I never took my eyes off it. It took several minutes before it was out of my signt. I never felt threatened by it, just curious about how something could fly so low and slow without falling. I immediately asked my husband if he had heard it, but he had earbuds in his ears for his Ipad. The next morning I called my neighbor to see if they had seen it (it went right across their yard). She said she didn’t see it but she and her sons had heard it just after 9:00 and they commented that it was flying very low. She added that her two sons had seen it the month before while outside in their hottub (the same time of night and also a cloudless night). They came in and told her about it and that it was not like any normal aircraft (there father is pilot and they watch and identify planes all the time). I had heard it the month before as well, but by the time I got to the back of the house to look it was already over the neighbors yards but was low and had the flashing colored lights. Frequently military aircraft pass over here. I did report it to the state and their response was that it was probably a military aircraft.

Podesta Regrets Not Telling America about UFOs

Outgoing Obama adviser John Podesta says he has one major regret about the past year: not telling American’s the truth about UFOs. In a tweet on Friday, Podesta, whose fascination with UFOs and government investigations has been well-documented for years, named his regret over the secrecy his “number one” issue, reports Yahoo News.
Podesta didn’t say whether he plans to follow his fascination for UFOs now that he’s leaving the White House, like he did after his four years as President Bill Clinton’s chief of staff.

Back in 2002, Yahoo News reports, Podesta spoke at a press conference that was organized by the Coalition for Freedom of Information, about the importance of sharing the information the government has about UFO investigations, saying “it’s time to find out what the truth really is that’s out there…we ought to do it, really, because it’s right. We ought to do it, quite frankly, because the American people can handle the truth. And we ought to do it because it’s the law.”And on Friday, The Washington Post recalled when Podesta told one of its reporters in 2007 that “the truth is out there,” concerning UFOs, echoing the tagline for the TV show, “The X-Files.”
Podesta is leaving the White House to work as a senior adviser on Hillary Clinton’s potential 2016 presidential campaign.

Ukraine Possible Nuclear Explosions and UFO

Paul Gaspari writes, “Did a nuke just go off in Ukraine on February 9, 2015?” Was Donetsk nuked by Kiev? I was searching the internet for video evidence of the purported use of tactical nukes in the Ukrainian conflict and came upon a very interesting clip.

Unfortunately, there seems to be several videos from Ukrainian citizens that show small nuclear-style blasts with resulting shockwaves and I am afraid that these types of weapons are actually being deployed. This daytime video shows a blast occurring with a definite black mushroom cloud that forms.

What is most intriguing is that a UFO quickly descends from space and begins interacting and ‘sniffing’ the mushroom cloud before quickly zipping off and disappearing. The craft seems to hop around much like the motion of a fly. You can actually see the mushroom cloud swirling towards the craft.  I know that UFOs have shown a history of interest in nuclear weapons but I wonder what their purpose is?   Thanks to Paul Gaspari. Hexagon UFO Matches Speed with Space Station

I was watching the live Internet Space Station cam on February 8, 2015, when I caught a glimpse of a disk off to the left of the screen. This hexagon UFO matched 17,000 mph speed of the space station. The UFO was semi transparent and the clouds below could be seen through it…but that’s how cloaks work, bending light 180 degrees around objects.

This is not a donut, but a solid disk with a misty electrical field around it.

The front and back line of the UFO is longer than lines on both sides. All evidence points to it being an alien craft. Thanks to UFO Sightings Daily

New Jersey Triangles Part 2

Robert Spearing writes, “Let’s talk about hovering for a moment.  Apart from helicopters and conventional planes with vertical capable propellers, there is no evidence that a triangle or delta winged aircraft can hover.”  Yet in an astounding 54% of the cases the triangle was doing just that. Way too many witnesses to be mistaken as to what they were seeing especially at close range! In forty-seven cases (82%) the craft was silent. Most of these witnesses were close enough to know.  In eight cases (14%) the witness heard a low hum and in two cases (4%) they heard a low rumble.  In other words, in all 57 cases studied not one had an engine noise described in conventional terms! Is the power plant so insulated that it is stealth-like or do these triangles use a non-traditional form of getting around such as anti-gravity?

Yet another very harsh statistic was that in an astounding fifty-five cases (96%), there were no conventional red and green FAA mandated navigation lights. In only three other cases were anti-collision red strobes seen on the belly of the craft! That is some mighty dangerous and inconsiderate flying on the part of the military if it is them!

Another strange anomaly is that in five cases (9%) other objects accompanied the triangle. One was a green cylinder and the rest were small orbs or lights. This is reminiscent of many of the cylinder UFO cases reported in France in the 1950s where they were frequently escorted by circles of light undulating in their flight paths in pairs.

While only 3 cases (5%) fall into the next category it is enough to suggest there is merit to it because of its peculiar nature.  Apparently, some triangles can give off a mist or cloud which can cloak it to some degree. In another two cases, electronics were affected as the triangle passed in close proximity to the witness.

Now for some mundane statistics:   In 21 cases (37%) witnesses estimated the size of the craft to be between 100 and 300 feet long.  A typical Boeing 737 is between 102 and 137 feet long depending on its class.  In 22 cases (39%) the craft was of an unknown size. In 7 cases (12%) the craft was estimated at 31 to 100 feet long. In five cases, the witness estimated 11 to 30 feet long and in only 3 cases did the witness think the craft was larger than 300 feet which would be truly enormous. In many UFO reports of triangles, witnesses report either rounded edges to the triangle’s points or they report a total absence of points as if cut off.  Our study of New Jersey reveals this is not the norm.  Only 4 cases had rounded edges.

The triangle in that photo has a unique lighting pattern to it which I shall call perimeter lighting.  Twelve cases (21%) had this strange lighting on either one two or all three sides of the craft.  Sometimes the back line of the craft had perimeter lighting while the front displayed only a point of light at the tip of the triangle. In other cases the front two sides were illuminated.

The remaining cases had more conventional lighting at each of the triangle’s three points. In all, 38 cases (67%) had lights on each point.  Most of the cases had either 3 white or three red points of light on their tips.  Six cases had a combination of yellow and green lights and eight cases (14%) had blue lights on the points of the craft. Blue lights are not standard colors for conventional aircraft in the United States or anywhere else!

Two final remarks on lighting configurations are that seven cases (12%) had bright white center belly spotlights and in one case the spot was surrounded by five fainter white lights and another two cases had globular lights on their points.

In the attached zoomed in photo from MUFON Case 35102, the triangle clearly displays unusual three dimensional globes at each point.

Finally, and perhaps most profound among the findings reach in this report is the fact that triangles are not one type of phenomenon.  In all, I determined four distinct categories.  Forty-seven cases (82%) fall into the Type I category of the Equilateral, Isosceles or Obtuse black craft. Two cases fell into the very interesting category of shape shifting red orb like lights.  These Type II craft seem to hover, drift and gradually change shape sometimes deviating from a triangle into a straight line. In these cases, the craft is not clearly seen suggesting it may not be a triangle at all. It may also be a craft of immense size with lights moving about its belly like the Lockheed Martin P-791 transport airship.  And, for the skeptics, this may also be the sighting type most prone to hoaxers using Chinese lanterns and flares attached to balloons. Type III craft (5 cases -9%) are arrow/wedge/boomerang shaped. One possibility is that a U.S. Stealth F-117 Fighters may have been seen and mistaken for triangles but they do not have the ability to hover!  The final category, Type IV, is pyramidal and very mysterious. They comprised only three cases.

In conclusion, I wish to reiterate that this is a small study of one U.S. State and in no way is a final truth about Black Triangle identities and behaviors in other places. However, it should be the responsibility of other researchers in other places, to attempt to correlate the results of studies they should be undertaking to ascertain a larger picture.  The MUFON Case Management System and Peter Davenport’s National UFO Center (NUFORC.ORG) are vast databases that are being underemployed by UFOlogists.

Perhaps our government and other ones around the world, unbeknownst to us, are undertaking such studies.  Quite frankly, for our sake, I hope they are. Thanks to Robert Spearing, publisher www.worldufowatch.com

Picture ‘PROVES’ There Is Life on Other Planets

Nathon Rao writes, “The never-before seen photograph shows a mysterious dragon-shaped organism found in space, which they claim also reveals that all life on Earth, including humans, is extraterrestrial in origin.” It was discovered in dust and particulate matter gathered deep in the Earth’s stratosphere. Its finders say it is a “biological entity” made of carbon and oxygen – the building blocks of life.

The scientists who made the incredible find insist there is no way it could have blown up into space from our planet – and so must have originated elsewhere in the universe. It was discovered by Professor Milton Wainwright and his team from the University of Sheffield and the University of Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology. Professor Wainwright sent balloons into the stratosphere 27 km above the Earth’s atmosphere to collect particles from space. He claimed what  they have discovered is not only proof that life exists in outer space, but that extraterrestrial organisms are continually raining down on earth. He said: “The photo shows a structure colloquially called ‘the dragon particle’ which scientific analysis shows is made of carbon and oxygen and is therefore not a piece of cosmic or volcanic dust. Scientists claim the dragon particle is conclusive evidence of life elsewhere in the universe “This is clearly a biology entity (about 10micron in size), although it is unclear whether it is part of a single organism or is made up of smaller, individual microbes. “It is certainly unusual and seems to be like nothing found on Earth. “What is amazing is that these organisms appear on the sampling stubs in an absolutely pristine condition. “There is no pollen, grass or pollution particles found with them or for that matter soil or volcanic dust”.

                       “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:” Genesis 1-26 “Unless a means of lifting them from Earth exists which selectively sieves them out from other Earth-derived debris then they must be incoming from space. “This, plus the fact that some of the biological material samples by the team produce impact craters when they hit the sampler, confirms their space origin.” It comes just weeks after astronauts said they found traces of life on the surface of the International Space Station (ISS) which orbits Earth. http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/518510/Aliens-do-exist-scientists-find-proof-of-life-in-space.

 Francis Crick the co-founder of DNA and Nobel Prize Winner stated, ‘An honest man, armed with all the knowledge available to us now, could only state that in some sense, the origin of life appears at the moment to be almost a miracle, so many are the conditions which would have had to have been satisfied to get it going.’

Crick reasoned that life could not have evolved from non-living chemicals under any conceivable earth conditions. He felt life did not originate on earth, and suggests a theory called panspermia and indicates that the seeds of life are all through the universe. This concept basically infers that life, DNA, virus, bacteria, bombarded from space aboard meteorites. Crick proposed, in a book called “Life Itself,” that some form of primordial life was shipped to the earth in spaceships—by supposedly more advanced alien beings.

Note: Personally, I have seen the spaceships and tracked them on radar and have spoken with dozens of people including astronauts and key heads of state who conclude that extraterrestrials visit Earth.

Egypt Declares War on Islamic State who Beheaded 21 Christians

 (AFP) – Cairo — The Islamic State (IS) released a video on Sunday purportedly showing the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians the jihadists say they captured in Libya. Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ordered Egyptian F-16s to bomb the Libyan terrorists and declared seven days of mourning.  . Sunday’s IS video, entitled “A message signed with blood to the nation of the cross”, has a scrolling caption in the first few seconds referring to the hostages as “People of the cross”. One of the masked captors, wearing a military uniform and pointing a knife to the camera said in English: “Today we are in the south of Rome, in the land of Islam Libya… the sea you have hidden Sheikh Osama bin Laden’s body in, we swear to Allah we will mix it with your blood.”

The Islamic State has now spread the largest area ever controlled by a terrorist group that now controls most of Libya, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Pakistan. The Qur’an does not visualize war being waged with “kid gloves.” It gives a distinctive concept of total war against all non Muslims. It wants both the nation and the individual, to be at war totally with all their spiritual, moral, and physical resources.

Lester Holt on NBC Evening News on February 13, 2015, showed two Yazidi 19 year old women from Iraq. Yazidis are members of the small religious minority in northern Iraq that the Islamic State has targeted for extermination and enslavement. Survivors told NBC News that IS fighters entered Kuchu on August 3, drove 500 men to the groves outside of the village, lined up and shot them. The woman had been sold as sex slaves, but months later escaped their captors. One named Farida stated, “There were 80 girls in that large room in Raqqa, the IS capital in eastern Syria. They were all about to be bought as sex slaves by IS fighters. She remembers the girls wept — and the men laughed.  The men would come into the slave auction to pay an IS official and then take away one or two or three girls each.” Farida, 19, doesn’t know how much money she was sold for. California Lights

Port Hueneme — At home on our outside patio/deck I spotted the sharp movement of an object that flew in opposite direction too quick on February 1, 2015. Its zigzag real quick movements think UFO! I’ve seen some questionable things here during twilight early a.m.

I loaded it to my page. Am I tripping or is this a UFO? A follower was able to spot the difference of the objects and the flying birds. I really felt like I may have a sighting. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Florida Orb

Plant City – This UFO event happened at 8:25 PM on February 13, 2015, as my wife., my daughter and I observed in the sky north of us a very bright amber reddish light, The light was very beautiful flying east, at about 80 mph. It was not a normal aircraft without blinking aviation safety lights. It was close and I pointed out the light to my wife, and we slowed down. We all leaned forward trying to observe the object and sped up to get into our drive way quicker. We all got out, and observed the lighted object in a clear area hovering silently. After 15 seconds, it started moving east again and after a few minutes it disappeared. My wife and I agreed it was not any known aircraft to either of us. Indiana Power Outages

Borden – An area 100 miles in diameter involving Indiana and Kentucky around Louisville reported mass electrical issues with radios, vehicles, lights blinking, and transformers blowing up on February 15, 2015. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Richmond – On February 13, 2015, around 7:30 PM, I was outside on my front porch filming a low bright light in the west.

It was very low and pulsated very bright and that’s what caught my eye. As I was filming I saw a moving blinking object underneath it moving quickly.

I focused in on the moving object and filmed it on my 8mm video camera as it went over the interstate signs and over the trees, till I could not film it any more.

Louisiana Orb

Baton Rouge — Just before noon on February 9, 2015, I was on my patio photographing a Boeing 737 when I noticed another object in the camera view finder. I snapped a couple of quick photos and when I tried to snap the next photo, the auto focus couldn’t focus on the object. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts, I switched the lens to manual focus and looked back up to a bright white spherical object that seemed to float. It was 3 miles up and I suspect it was a balloon. After watching it for 6 seconds, I tried to locate it but could not spot the object again. It drifted a little left to right, while moving away and higher. It was a lot slower than the plane. The plane moved past the object. The aircraft was American Airlines Flight AA1698, San Juan to Dallas, Boeing 737-823, Call Sign N858NN, at 37,000 feet. My camera is a Canon T3i Rebel digital SLR with 300 mm lens. Maryland Blimp like Object

 On February 7, 2015 at 11:17 AM heading north on I- 95 my son spotted a grey blimp looking object. I was driving about 75 MPH with wife and two sons. One son noticed the object and we all saw the object just over the trees. It followed us along I-95 north for 7 minutes keeping up with traffic then slowing down then moving fast again keeping up with us. There were no visible mooring lines or a cabin below this object that you normally see under a blimp. The object moved wings first rather than nose first unlike a blimp. There were no windows or writing on the object. What really caught our attention was how fast this object accelerated and was keeping up with us. It slowed and accelerated right back parallel with us. As we traveled along I 95 North, the object moved out of sight behind some trees. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Ocean City — The woman woke up around 4 AM, on February 12, 2015, and witnessed a light between her blinds and decided to check it. Upon taking a closer look, she realized it was not the moon. The object appeared to be glowing yellow and white with red light near its tips. It was stationary and floating high in the sky and was about the size of the moon. Upon recognizing the object as anomalous, she took 5 pictures of the object with her cell phone. There is a visible house in the images. Upon taking the images, she went back to sleep. Upon waking, there was no object. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Montana Orb

              Great Falls — While walking the dog, these lights were observed below cloud level hovering above Maelstrom Air Force Base on February 13, 2015.

Two jets took off from Great Falls International Airport and flew off in the direction of the lights. The Air National Guard operates from the airport.

Ohio Craft

 I was at the pharmacy and in the window I saw three strange objects on February 12, 2015, and they flew off one by one. They had a circle with triangle wings that slanted. The speed was faster than any speed I have ever seen.

They only appeared on the window and seamed transparent in real vision. I lost the objects as they flew off the screen at incredible speed. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Oregon Blue Ball

 Klamath Falls — I stopped to take a series of pictures of the trails in the sky on February 12, 2015, forming an X against a cloudy background directly towards the sun.

I didn’t see the blue ball of light until after I viewed the images. The ball appears to move and at one point it flashes a purple fringe.

The blue ball of light is also covered with smaller white lights. It could be dust or some strange camera artifact but some of the images it looks like the ball is in motion. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Vermont Possible Cattle Abductions

 Fairfax – I am in my mid-thirties and live with my wife on a hill overlooking a small valley of trees and cow pastures, which rests between the towns of Milton, and Cambridge. I am a well educated, rational biomedical laboratory technician. My wife is also well educated, stubbornly skeptical – about strange phenomenon.

On the evening December 4th, 2014 at 9 PM, I noticed a very bright light through our basement window. I ran outside and saw a half mile away toward Vermont’s highest mountain peak an extremely bright object with pulsating red and blue lights. I was fearful of being abducted and went inside to tell my wife, “You need to see this.” She was able to see it as I noticed another similar bright object to the north. I retrieved my Celestron Model #21035 telescope and spotted the UFO with light shining down on cow pasture. It was disc-shaped bright, colorful, pulsating and bouncing UFO. The pulsating red and blue lights appeared to come from within the craft, passing out through its walls.

The light on the ground below the craft was orangish illuminating a white angular object. I then saw two corners of a triangular black and camouflaged craft two hundred yards closer to us that was slowly rocking up and down. My wife said, “I feel weird…I’m scared.” Then the pulsating disc was calmer and less bright and the red light was gone and the craft appeared to settle into a lower-energy state. The triangular craft remained in the same position for another thirty minutes.

Just before going to bed, I saw that the disc and triangle were higher with one corner pointing downward. I saw the full form of the triangle, which was hovering with a faint circular orange light at each of three corners.

The next day, my neighbor said she had seen a similar object at 9 p.m. on December 3rd and 4th. On December 5th, two bright, pulsating objects appeared shortly before midnight, a half mile farther from my house. I watched for over an hour as they followed a grid pattern above the tree tops near the river. A quick scan of the internet reveals that Vermont is currently a hotspot for these phenomena.

My mother, who is a PhD research scientist, spotted a silent triangular craft in our largest city last year. NOTE: The above image is a rendering. This case is under investigation by Chief Investigator Ken Pfeifer of MUFON Vermont.

West Virginia Triangle

 Inwood — The witness, her daughter and step-brother were driving to a grocery store on February 3, 2015 when they noticed a large triangular object flying overhead about 7 PM. A few minutes later they reached the store and began observing the object taking photos and video. The object was dark with a light at each apex of the triangle and several more lights not visible on the images. The object continued to circle the area and was flying low and slow emitting a low humming sound for 30 minutes. The witness’s mother heard military jets fly overhead right after the object was sighted. These jets were thought to have been scrambled from the nearby West Virginia Air National Guard at Martinsburg, WV. The lights flashed and appeared to change color in unison and were sometimes green, white or orange. The witnesses were positive that the object was not a conventional aircraft.

Note: A similar object was reported to the local county sheriff’s office and MUFON. A report and photos were posted on the sheriff’s office website. The report and photos have since been removed. That report follows:

I was at home. I received a call from a relative at 10:20 PM on January 8, 2015. The relative asked if I’d heard what was occurring with an unknown object flying throughout the area. The relative then stated since shortly after 9:00 PM, 143 witnesses had contacted the County Sheriff’s Department reporting an unknown object flying very low and making no sound. The relative then sent me pages from the County Sheriff’s webpage where I was able to read eyewitness reports and official responses. Fifteen minutes later the police were reporting that the object was flying low over a main building in town. I went to the window and saw a low large slow moving object with a single whitish/blue light in the front and two lights in the back. There was considerable distance between the two sides at the back and there appeared to be a “raise” at the point where the lights were connected. The body of the object the lights were adhered to was dark to dark gray. After 30 seconds it turned slowly in a SW direction at which point I lost sight of it.

I remember feeling odd about how something of that size was able to move that slowly at such a low altitude without stalling. The object continued to be reported to the local authorities and police website for another 45 minutes. Official responses continued to the ongoing multiple sightings being reported up to 11:20 PM at which time the Sheriff’s department website was closed. Prior to this, county officials stated the local Air Guard couldn’t pick the object up on radar because it was flying at a number of 81.0 and the radar was set at 121.6 to 123.4. Officials indicated two jets had been dispatched from a nearby Maryland Air Base to investigate. Checking with FAA and local military Air Guard/regional airports the object was neither military nor civilian. Although my sighting occurred at 10:35 PM. the first reported sighting occurred at 9:10 PM. There were also numerous pictures sent to the website of the object. Although the lights match what I saw the darkened body in at least one of the pictures looks different. I saw the object from its left side and the picture appears to have been taken from below the object.

Argentina Light and Disc

 Moreno — I was on holiday in Sierra de los Padres and taking photographs and could not see well because of the light of the sun that prevented me clearly from seeing the picture he had drawn.

We were high on Rock Mountain where I was able to take the picture.

They spent about twenty days until I realized that the object had managed to get in the photo on February 2, 2013.

San Juan — A group of workers on their way to the Ullum Hydroelectric Plant in San Juan, on January 25, 2015, were startled by a strange presence in the sky. The object at the bottom of the picture is a blow up of the top object.

One of them reached for his camera and managed to photograph the alleged apparition. The witnesses claim the object was moving, yet suspended in mid-air. www.sanjuan8.com 

Australia Light

Darwin — I was at my university accommodation and was getting ready for bedtime on February 5, 2015, and noticed the object in the sky. When I first looked at it, I instantly realized it was not an airplane, not ISS, not an Iridium satellite or any other satellite because the characteristics of the light were not those of a reflection. Satellites are visible at that time.

The light emanating from the object seemed to be pulsating at 1.3 seconds. It moved in a path and faded out of sight. I felt excited to see an unidentified object and grabbed my phone, and then I started filming the object.

Brazil Shoe Box Shape

Manaus — I woke up too early that day at 5 AM, so I went out to smoke a cigarette and saw a bright light like a star coming from the northeast and making a strange zigzag movement like a snake. I called my wife and she agreed it was an UFO. I had an experience 17 years ago when I saw a shoe box shaped with a light on the inner side in Algodoal a small fishing village. The other witness and I saw the object fly toward us late at night and then stopping at the window of a house. It made square movements up and down and side to side. The other witness saw what I saw and we started to run and I could feel my heel hit my butt. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Canada Lights

Ada, Saskatchewan — I live on the edge of a small community with very few street lights and my back yard is a good spot for star gazing on August 4. 2013.  It was a perfect clear night when I saw two large bright lights just above a tree row 500 feet from me. I was puzzled because they weren’t there earlier as the lights started moving toward me at 10:07 PM, silently. The object slowly moved toward the edge of the community; with a white front light and a yellow l e D aft. As it was passing over head I used the faint star light of the Milky Way to see if it was 1 or 2 aircraft. A good distance in front of the light the faint star light was blocked out and continued to be blocked until after the rear light passed. The light emitted never reached the ground like a search light. The lights at the altitude it passed over me would be 10 to 20 feet in diameter. Its speed was no more than 20 mph. I observed it pass over town and gain altitude. Total time observed was7 minutes. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Spain Objects Changing Shape

 Barcelona – My kids and I noticed beginning in January a strange repetitive phenomenon of three low bright lights. If we look in the direction of the sea one light is on the left, one is in front and one on the right that looks not far away. These three points in the sky strongly change colors to green-red-white at the second. We noticed that they are showing up there a couple of times a week now for more than a month. . We can see the difference clearly between stars and these objects in our clear sky’s. We started to make a series of pictures at different dates. The time between the pictures in the series are not more than seconds.

The objects are shape shifting and much larger than Chinese balloons and change colors, shapes and being static. You can see the objects changing shape. I would like to hear what you think about this. Thanks to Veronica

Ukraine Lights

Odessa — I was awakened by the words of my wife: “My dear I see a UFO!” I ran to the window and saw a big strange disk-shaped object hovering in the sky at 6:14 AM on February 3, 2014. Odessa has an international airport and I often see many different aircraft from my window, but this was very different. The size of this object was 10 times larger then an aircraft so I began recording with my Nokia 6700 Gold 5 megapixel camera. The quality of the video was poor so I got my Canon EOS 600D, but it was too dark and I was unable to focus. I decided to make a video at dawn for a better quality but the object dissolved in the sky and  a cloud began to form around it; as it made a very strange sound. UK England Orb

In a clear blue sky a glow attracted my attention as it moved from west to the eastern horizon in about twenty minutes of very slow movement. On July 10, 2010, it looks different when enlarged with four dark areas around object which forms a letter H. I am 66 years old and was going out my front door and have seen strange objects before. I am a keen aircraft show visitor so unlikely to be fooled by conventional aircraft.

My first thought was that it was not conventional aircraft. The object was glowing, and I got my digital camera and zoomed in 50 xs on the object that formed the letter H, The object then moved very slowly from directly above me to disappear over the trees eastward. I was a little excited as it flew east. Thanks to MUFON CMS

‘I believe there WAS something from another world at Britain’s Area 51′: Film director speaks out

A new film has shed light on one of the eeriest UFO incidents in British history – an encounter with a strange, triangular spacecraft which made front page news in 1983.

On Boxing Day, US military personnel in Suffolk saw a metallic triangular object in a clearing – and other weird lights in the dark.

Daniel Simpson, director of the new film, The Rendlesham UFO Incident, who investigated evidence including audio recordings from soldiers, said, ‘It is my belief that the USAF did actually see something that is from another world or dimension.

‘Former witness Lt Col Charles Halt has gone on record to state this also.’

A memo written by Halt to Ministry of Defence staff helped fuel conspiracy theories about the incident after the News of the World’s headline, ‘UFO lands in Suffolk – and that’s official’.

One witness claimed to have telepathically ‘received’ a binary code, which has never been deciphered.

The Rendlesham Forest sightings are often described as ‘Britain’s Roswell’.

Simpson told Starburst Magazine, ‘It’s one of, if not the, biggest UFO incident ever recorded along with the Roswell case and it took place over 3 consecutive nights. I think that the fascination in the case is amplified as a result of the witnesses being multiple USAF personnel, with the addition that one of those people was a Lieutenant Colonel who made an audio recording on a dictaphone as the events unfolded. Whatever one believes happened, it remains a great mystery that deserves a valid response.’

Despite the release of a large Ministry of Defence file regarding the incident, UFO enthusiasts believe there is still information being covered up.

Reports by retired soldiers such as Colonel Charles Halt sound seriously spooky: ‘While in Rendlesham Forest, our security team observed a light that looked like a large eye, red in colour, moving through the trees.

‘After a few minutes this object began dripping something that looked like molten metal.’

Staff Sergeant Jim Penniston wrote, ‘The object was producing red and blue light. The blue light was steady and projecting under the object. It was definitely mechanical in nature.’

Others reported losing time periods, mysterious light – and strange howling noises ‘like women screaming’.

Sceptics claim that the marks of the UFO’s landing are, in fact, rabbit holes.

Multiple soldiers made drawings and descriptions of craft which resemble classic ‘flying saucers’.

The new petition demands, ‘To release ALL witnesses and Military Personnel involved with the “Rendlesham Forrest UFO Incident” from the Official Secrets Act.’

Nigel Watson, author of the Haynes UFO Investigations Manual says, ‘The Rendlesham case is one of Britain’s most fascinating UFO incidents. The problem with the alleged crashes is that no one has ever provided unambiguous evidence to support them. It is always claimed that all the remains of crashed flying saucers and even their pilots are whisked off by Government retrieval teams.’

Huge Underwater Pyramid Found Near Portugal Has Portuguese Navy Investigating, Link to Atlantis?

Update: Further investigations are beginning to point to the possibility of an underwater volcanic hill based on more recent scans.[3] More information should come to the surface. Some believe this new explanation may be a cover up but that position is currently based on a belief only.

Portuguese news reported the discovery of a very large under water pyramid first discovered by Diocleciano Silva between the islands of São Miguel and Terceira in the Azores of Portugal. According to claims, the structure is said to be perfectly squared and oriented by the cardinal points. Current estimates obtained using GPS digital technology put the height at 60 meters with a base of 8000 square meters. The Portuguese Hydrographic Institute of the Navy currently has the job of analyzing the data to determine whether or not the structure is man-made.

“The pyramid is perfectly shaped and apparently oriented by the cardinal points,” Silva told Diário Insular, the local newspaper.

The pyramid was found in an area of the mid-Atlantic that has been underwater for about 20,000 years. Considering this is around the time of the last ice age where glaciation was melting from its peak 2000 years prior, whatever civilization, human or not, that was around before the ice age, could be responsible for building the pyramid. While the Portuguese Navy still hasn’t determined the origins, many might question why this hasn’t been first reported on sooner than late 2012. Certainly the NOAA who studies volcanic activity in the area of the pyramid would have discovered the pyramid through sonar imaging and so forth since the area is heavily studied due to volcanic activity. Either the NOAA hasn’t yet come across it, they are hiding what they have found, or the pyramid doesn’t exist. The last theory does not seem to be likely given the authenticity of the find.

To further support the idea that this pyramid could have been built by different civilizations, archeologists from the Portuguese Association of Archaeological Research have recently discovered evidence on Pico island that suggests their belief that humans existed in the Azores region before the arrival of the Portuguese thousands of years ago. As of today, there is still no explanation for who created the rock art found on the islands. Was the pyramid built by whatever civilization existed prior to the Portuguese? Is it possibly not even man-made?

The Azores are an interesting region as they are a chain of nine volcanic islands in three main groups that are roughly 930 miles west of Lisbon. They are all situated around the fault lines between the North American, Eurasian and African tectonic plates. An interesting place to have a pyramid given the energetic qualities often associated with pyramids.

This video discusses some interesting bits of information that explore the authenticity of the story and the possible location visually using some maps. It is important to note that exact coordinates of the pyramid have not been released. He believes that there may be a discovery of 2 more pyramids in the area as images suggest there could be a design link to that of the pyramids built in Egypt.

Mars One Suspends Work on Robotic Missions

WASHINGTON — A private organization that recently selected finalists for one-way human missions to Mars in the mid-2020s has quietly suspended work on a pair of robotic missions, putting into question plans to launch those spacecraft in 2018.

Mars One, a Dutch-based nonprofit organization, announced in December 2013 it was starting work on two robotic missions it planned to launch in 2018 as precursors to its human expeditions to Mars. One spacecraft would orbit Mars and serve as a communications relay, while the other would be a lander to test technologies planned for later crewed missions.

At that time, Mars One announced it had selected Lockheed Martin to begin work on the lander mission and Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. (SSTL) to start work on the orbiter. Mars One awarded contracts to each company to perform concept studies of the planned missions.

“These missions are the first step in Mars One’s overall plan of establishing a permanent human settlement on Mars,” Bas Landsorp, Mars One chief executive and co-founder, said in a December 2013 press conference here announcing the missions. “We believe we are in very good shape to make this happen.”

However, both companies confirmed with SpaceNews that, since the completion of those study contracts, they have not received additional contracts from Mars One to continue work on those missions.

“SSTL delivered the concept study for the Mars One communications system last year,” SSTL spokeswoman Joelle Sykes said Feb. 16. “There are no follow-on activities underway at the moment.”

“Lockheed Martin has concluded the initial contract with Mars One in which we performed mission formulation studies and developed payload interface specifications to support the selection of a payload suite for the 2018 Mars robotic lander,” the company said in a statement Feb. 17. “We continue to maintain an open channel of communications with Mars One and await initiation of the next phase of the program.”

Mars One has said little publicly about the status of its robotic missions since that December 2013 announcement. In January, it announced the winner of a university competition to develop an experiment that would fly on the lander. At that time, the organization said the lander was still scheduled to launch in 2018, but offered no details about the status of its development.

In a Feb. 17 email, Lansdorp said that Mars One was focused for the time being on addressing a study released last fall by a student-led group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). That report, which examined the life support requirements for Mars One’s planned crewed missions, concluded that flaws in Mars One’s designs could result in the deaths of crewmembers within months of landing.

“Especially with the recent MIT (student) report, we’re focusing on releasing the mission concepts study on life support systems by Paragon,” Lansdorp said, referring to Paragon Space Development Corp., a Tucson, Arizona-based developer of life support technologies. The Paragon study, he said, should be released in March.

Lansdorp offered no additional details about the status of Mars One’s robotic missions, declining to answer questions about the timeline for awarding follow-on contracts. “As soon as we are ready to announce follow-up contracts, we will do so by means of a press release,” he said.

In addition to the life support study, Mars One has also been working on selecting finalists for those first crewed missions. On Feb. 16, the organization revealed the group of 100 “Round Three” astronaut candidates, selected from a pool of 705 semi-finalists announced in May 2014. These 100 will participate in “group challenges” that will eventually lead to the selection of six groups of four people each to serve as initial crews for one-way missions to Mars that it plans to start launching in 2024.

Those plans, though, may depend on the progress Mars One makes on its robotic missions, and there time is of the essence. Lockheed Martin noted in its statement that its proposed Mars One lander is based on a “very mature” design used on NASA’s Phoenix Mars Lander mission launched in 2007 and the InSight lander it is building for launch in March 2016. Despite that heritage, the company said, “we would have to start construction very soon to launch an InSight clone in the 2018 window.”
