 On August 13, 1970, Danish senior police officer Evald Maarup was driving back to his home in Knud, using the patrol vehicle at about 10:30 P.M., on a country road connecting Kabdrup and Flestrup, not far from the border enters Denmark and Germany, when something out of the ordinary happened to him.  At about ten kilometers in the north of the town of Hadersley, the car became bathed in a very powerful bluish light, and the car engine stopped suddenly. The officer tried to communicate with his police station by means of the car’s radio, but it did not function at all. It was if if all the electricity had disappeared of the patrol car.  Officer Maarup then realized that the temperature inside the vehicle had increased, and that it continued to increase quickly. In his report, he stated that he had the feeling that one would have during a hot summer sun when it hits a car’s windshield. 

A short moment later, it was obvious to him that the bluish light seemed to be withdrawing. Maarup realized that the light actually surrounded a flying machine of elliptical shape, metallic appearance, and of a diameter of approximately 10 meters, which was now rising in the sky.  Maarup noticed that actually, the rise of the craft was not the only cause of the withdrawal of the light which surrounded it. He realized that the extent of the light around the craft decreased as if the craft was swallowing the light into its body, from a defined point located at the center of the bottom side of the craft, in which the light was engulfed as if it had been sucked into there. This part of the craft appeared clearly delimited to him, by a dark part of a diameter he estimated at one meter. He also saw some protrusion on the underside of the objects.

At this time, he remembered that he had a Fujaxa camera at disposal, as he is the rule, in the police car. He used it, and managed to take three snapshots of the object. Those, developed the following day, did not show much more than a gleam of light, without revealing any details. 

After the series of events which Maarup estimated the duration of about five minutes, the craft then flew away at high speed in the sky. During all the events, the craft was totally noiseless.  As soon as the object flew away, the car’s engine started again spontaneously, the power went back, so that the lights went back, and the radio functioned again.  Maarup then went out of the patrol car, to look for clues or evidence of the event in the surroundings. He found none, but when he touched the car, he noticed that it had become heated. 

Very remarkably, Maarup had a second sighting almost three years to the day after this first encounter. On July 14, 1973, in the same area and at roughly the same time, he saw a similar shaped UFO above the countryside as it passed over the landscape. Once again he was able to take pictures of the object but once again, all the six pictures were disappointing, showing only an indistinct spot of light. He also saw several dome like protrusions on the underside of the object.

The WOW Signal: Alien Contact?

In 1977, scientists working for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence detected the most compelling evidence for alien civilizations yet: a powerful, focussed and regular radio transmission from Betelgeuse. But the signal has never been detected since. What was behind this signal, and what are the chances it was contact from an alien race?

It was August 15, 1977, when astronomer Jerry Ehman was examining data coming from Ohio State University’s radio telescope, which was engaged in listening for signals from deep space, hoping to find something of intelligent origin. In a moment that’s since become one of the most famous events in astronomy, he saw a sequence of six characters on the printout — 6EQUJ5 — which caught his attention. So much so, in fact, that he circled the text, and wrote “Wow!” in the margin.

It was, apparently, a signal from outer space. It came from the direction of Sagittarius. The strength of the signal was represented by the digits 0-9 and the letters A-Z, a scale of 36 levels of intensity, rising with 6EQ and falling with UJ5, a near-perfect bell curve of signal strength spread over 72 seconds. All speculation and hype aside, Wow! remains the strongest candidate ever detected for an alien radio transmission.

SETI stands for the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, but there is no single SETI group. For a long time, many different organizations have engaged in their own searches, but there’s no central authoritative project. Virtually every radio telescope is used at least part time by some group scanning the skies looking for signals that might come from some interstellar source. The longest single search project was carried out by Ohio State University, from 1972 to 1997.

When you hear about the Wow! signal, one of the most important and obvious questions to ask is where it came from, and what’s there. To understand where the signal came from, and (at least as importantly) how we know where it came from, it’s necessary to understand the workings of the interesting radio telescope that received it.

Ohio State’s “Big Ear” radio telescope was, well, big. The telescope no longer exists, having been disassembled in 1998 and its acreage used to expand a neighboring golf course. Its main feature was a vast aluminum ground plane, 150 meters by 85 meters, about three times the area of an average professional soccer pitch, and aligned north-south. Near the middle of its north end were a pair of receiving horns, looking like giant foghorns, pointing south. They were at the focus of a great paraboloidal reflector, 110 meters by 21 meters, standing across the southern end like a giant curved movie screen. This reflector received the signal bouncing off a tiltable flat reflector spanning the north end, just beyond the receiving horns, 104 meters by 30 meters. As the Earth rotated, the Big Ear swept the sky in a single line. After a few days of data gathering, the flat reflector could be tilted a tiny bit, moving that line of study up or down across the sky. It had a total tilting range of 50°. The Big Ear’s design was called a Kraus telescope, after Ohio State’s Dr. John Kraus who designed it and came up with its $250,000 cost, including a $71,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. It was built by the students.

In 1980, a feature was added to the Big Ear that could have come in very handy when the Wow! signal was detected; and that was a set of tracks upon which the receiving horns could move east or west across the face of the flat reflector. This allowed the telescope to fix its view on the sky at any given point when an interesting signal was detected, compensating for the movement of the Earth’s rotation, and allowing a single spot to be studied for a time. Crucially, this feature was not yet installed in 1977; so the telescope swept across the Wow! signal for the duration of its detection. It took 72 seconds for the Earth’s rotation to move any given point in the sky across the Big Ear’s reflectors, and that’s why the recorded portion of the Wow! signal was 72 seconds long.

In 1977, there was no automated computer analysis of the Big Ear’s recordings. Its data was printed out on paper, and volunteers looked it over manually. This is what Jerry Ehman was doing when he saw the data, circled it, and wrote “Wow!”

The Big Ear would alternate recording between the two receiving horns. Subtracting the signal from one horn from that of the other was a way to identify and reduce noise in the signal. This cleaned-up signal is what got recorded. The horns were physically right beside each other, so each was focused on a slightly different position in the sky — about two minutes apart, by the speed at which the sky rotates past. It’s known that the Wow! signal was audible to only one of the two horns, but there was no way to tell which one because of the way the signal was recorded. The Wow! source either started or stopped inside the time gap between the two horns, and lasted less than 24 hours, since it was not detected at that same declination either the day before or the day after. So it’s not known how long the actual signal lasted; somewhere between 72 seconds and 24 hours. When you look at a star map showing the location of Wow!’s origin, you see two little line segments, one from where each horn was recording at the time.

These little dashes are in a part of the sky where there’s nothing of much interest. No close stars, no other radio sources, just… well, space. There’s nothing obvious there to listen for, but nevertheless, astronomers have on many, many occasions pointed telescopes at Wow!’s origin, hoping to hear it again; but nobody ever has ever heard even the slightest blip. Whatever Wow! was, it was transient. Try as we might, we’ve never been able to find it again, in over 100 different attempts.

Another question to which we might want to know the answer is what was interesting about the Wow! signal. Obviously there are many different types of radio signals bouncing around space all the time, so how do we know that there was anything special or unusual about this one? The solution to this lies in the signal’s frequency. To understand why the Wow! frequency was noteworthy, we have to know a little about the cosmic radio environment.

There are different kinds of noise in different parts of the radio spectrum. Throughout the radio spectrum, there is a background level of about 3 Kelvins representing the leftover noise from the Big Bang. So that 3 Kelvin level is the quietest window we might hope to find. Below about 1 GHz, there’s a lot of galactic noise, making it hard for an artificial signal to compete. And above about 10 GHz, something called quantum noise — in a nutshell, the uncertainty of photonic measurements — becomes too great to listen through. So we have a relatively quiet window between 1 and 10 GHz.

Not only is there noise at different frequencies, but planetary atmospheres like Earth’s block out a lot of different chunks of the spectrum; absorbing some of it, and reflecting others. There are two great windows through which our atmosphere is more or less transparent to electromagnetic radiation. First is the visible spectrum, which is why our eyes evolved to see at the frequencies they do. Second is, coincidentally, that very same 1 to 10 GHz gap.

So, if you’re an intelligent alien, and you want to attract the attention of another intelligent alien, you’re going to try to do it on a frequency which, for one, is likely to be heard; and for another, is likely to be easily identifiable as artificial. So you’re probably going to want to send your signal on a frequency that makes it through an atmosphere, and where there’s a minimum of competing background noise, and — for extra measure — is right near the most universally recognized frequency of all: that of hydrogen, the universe’s most abundant element.

Interstellar hydrogen precesses at 1.42 GHz. Precession can be thought of as the way a proton wobbles as it spins. The unfathomably massive quantities of interstellar hydrogen out there means that all that precession can actually be heard by sensitive radio receivers tuned to 1.42 GHz. Nearby on the spectrum is the frequency of interstellar hydroxyl, precessing at 1.66 GHz. We can see these two spikes when we look at the signal received by a radio transmitter pointed at any quiet region of space; in fact, any radio telescope anywhere in the galaxy will see exactly the same thing.

Astronomers call this frequency band the waterhole, for two very good reasons. First, hydrogen and hydroxyl are the disassociation products of water, the best environment for life. Second, these signposts are universal, and would be recognized by any civilization anywhere; and so, like the watercooler at the office that draws a crowd, the waterhole is nature’s gathering point on the radio spectrum, a blatantly obvious place for interstellar communities to meet and greet.

The Wow! signal was squarely in the middle of the waterhole, at 1.42 GHz. It was the perfect storm of intelligent interstellar radio signals. If we ever do receive a deliberate alien transmission, Wow! was exactly what we’d hope and expect to find.

Wow! has tantalized by evading almost every suggestion put forth to explain it. For one reason, that frequency range is protected; nobody on Earth is allowed to transmit on that frequency. We know the signal did not come from an aircraft or spacecraft passing overhead, because the signal was consistent with a point in the sky that was not moving. No known planets or asteroids were in a position that they could have reflected the signal toward Earth. Any space debris would have had to be absolutely still in space relative to the Big Ear, which is unlikely, and not tumbling, which is also unlikely. Even complicated astronomical effects like gravitational lensing and interstellar scintillation (basically twinkling like that which we observe stars doing visually) have technical reasons that make them very poor candidates to explain Wow!

A radio transmission from a point in space in the direction of Sagittarius still remains the best technical explanation for Wow! Jerry Ehman, the astronomer who found the signal, has written that he chooses not to draw “vast conclusions from half-vast data”.

In conclusion, yes, an alien intelligence is still a candidate explanation for the Wow! signal. But there’s no evidence for this. A stronger candidate is the significantly more vague explanation of an interstellar radio source of unknown origin.

Meanwhile, Jerry Ehman’s famous scrap of printout with his famous handwriting rests in the archives of the Ohio Historical Society. In these days of manufactured mysteries and sensationalized nonsense, Wow! remains the genuine article: a true mystery, with potential implications unlike anything else in history. It’s quite possibly one of the most exciting unsolved mysteries that we have, and it lies quietly in the North American Astrophysical Observatory Records, with call number MSS 1151. Someday, someone will probably solve it. That’s a treasure hunt worth waiting for.

On May 6, 1978, at about 4:15 p.m., something crashed into a mountain near El Taire on the Bermejo River, the border between the Bolivian province of Tarija and Argentina. Thousands of people saw this happening and later described the object as being cylindrical in shape with a flaming tail. It had caused a supersonic bang that was heard up to 150 miles away.

On May 6, 1978, at about 4:15 p.m., something crashed into a mountain near El Taire on the Bermejo River, the border between the Bolivian province of Tarija and Argentina. Thousands of people saw this happening and later described the object as being cylindrical in shape with a flaming tail. It had caused a supersonic bang that was heard up to 150 miles away and that cracked windowpanes as far away as 30 miles in every direction. The next day, the papers were speculating on what had come down in that godforsaken place. The explanations ranged from meteorites to UFOs and belated reentry of some Apollo capsule. All of them referred to statements of eye witnesses. 

Then it was announced that the Argentinian authorities had sent the 20th unit of the border police to the area in question to look for wreckage on their side of the border. The search in that mountainous country could last for weeks, so swarms of reporters went to the nearest big town, Aguas Blancas, to take up quarters there and await further developments, as well as to interview eyewitnesses in the town. And in fact, there were a number of witnesses who claimed to have seen the object. Most of them described it as oval or cylindrical and metallic. The army, too, seemed to be convinced that it was a UFO. Corporal Natalio Farfan Ruiz, the commandant of a small border police unit at the little village of La Marmora (800 inhabitants), confirmed the crash to Argentinian reporters saying: “It was about 4:30 p.m. when a cylindrical object made the earth tremble. Just imagine what would have happened if the UFO had fallen on the houses!” Policeman Juan Hurtado had also seen what had happened: “It looked like a gigantic wine container emitting a trace of white smoke. I saw it clearly. It flew directly above my head. I was on duty and at that moment was talking with three engineers from the mine in La Paz, when we saw the object crashing into the El Taire mountain. The impact was so strong that it threw me to the ground. The earth trembled at that moment.” 

Finally, the Bolivian Air Force sent three single-motored AT6 airplanes—a model from World War II—to the area and discovered the crash site on the southern slope of the El Taire mountain. Whereas the pilots found it impossible to land anywhere near it, the newspaper Clarin of Buenos Aires announced on May 14, that the object had been found. As proof, they quoted the police chief of Tarija: “Our men have discovered the object and inspected it, but have received no instructions for further action. It is a dull metallic cylinder twelve feet long with a few dents. No one knows what is inside it, and we are awaiting the arrival of various technical commissions. A NASA expert is also expected to arrive tomorrow morning.” 

As a matter of fact, no NASA expert came at Tarija.-Instead, two U.S. Air Force officers, Col. Robert Simmons and Maj. John Heise arrived. According to a newspaper, although these officers were officially on leave, they had been instructed to take the object to the United States in a Hercules C-130 transport machine, which was waiting for them at La Paz. When other newspapers made inquiries at the American Embassy regarding this secret mission of Simmons and Heise they were met with a denial. Only two years later, 5 relevant documents were released by the U.S. State Department: they revealed that Simmons and Heise had been assigned to the military attache of the U.S. Embassy in La Paz and did, in fact, fly to Tarija accompanied by an officer of the Bolivian Air Force, in connection with Project Moon Dust. 

The first of these documents was a telex sent by the U.S. Ambassador in Bolivia, Paul H. Boeker, to the State Department. In that, he quoted newspaper reports and requested the department “to ask the relevant agencies whether they could explain what this object could be,” adding “during the last week, more and more UFO reports are coming from this region.” The answer was a telex classified “secret” dated May 18 in which the U.S. Secretary of State Cyrus Vance personally declared: “Preliminary information has been checked with appropriate government agencies. No direct correlation with known space objects that may have reentered the earth’s atmosphere near May 6 can be made. However we are continuing to examine any possibilities.” 

He then referred the embassy to “State aerogram A-6343″ of July 26, 1973, classified ‘Secret,’ “which provides background information and guidance for dealing with space objects. In particular any information pertaining to the pre-impact observations, direction of trajectory, number of objects observed, time of impact and detailed description, including any markings would be helpful.” The next document was a “Moon Dust Message” of the office of the U.S. military attache, dated May 24, addressed to the Division for Foreign Technologies at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force at the Pentagon, classified as “confidential NOFORN (No Forwarding To Foreign Nationals).” Under reference Moon Dust, the military attache at La Paz reported that “they had taken pains to verify the press reports. ” In addition to that, they had asked the general staff of the Bolivian Air Force and the chiefs of the Bolivian Army who had declared—apparently after a first unsuccessful attempt— “we have sent search troops to the area in question but have found nothing. ” The army came to the conclusion that there could have been an object there, or maybe not, but to date they had found nothing. The attache added that he would send two officials to Tarija and promised, “We will keep you informed if anything turns up. ” These “two officials,” we can assume, were Simmons and Heise. 

Regrettably, no further reports concerning the Simmons-Heise expedition were released and, to get a picture of what happened, we are forced to rely on reports in the Argentinian press. Apparently, however, nobody came to the conclusion that a meteorite had hit the earth. At the world-famous Smithsonian Institution there is a data bank of scientific occurrences, or an “alarm network,” that keeps track of every volcanic eruption, every earthquake and every meteorite collision since 1973 with painstaking accuracy. The data bank reveals no mention of a meteorite falling during May 1978 at the Bolivian-Argentinian border. The Air Force documents reveal that the 1127th field activities group, which coordinated Project Moon Dust, was interested in another task besides the recoveiy of UFO wrecks and other space objects, represented by the code name HUMINT. This code name, short for Human Intelligence, means the collection of information from human sources through clandestine undercover methods—in contrast to interrogations, reading through files and correspondence, etc. In other words, it meant the collection of information about UFOs from reliable sources through a game of deceit. The method which was chosen to achieve HUMINTs goals was so bizarre that nobody outside the UFO community would believe it. It was the birth of the “Men In Black,” subject of a Hollywood blockbuster movie in 1997.

There have been a lot of reports regarding UFO sightings by people around the world. They have been recorded in myths, history books, traditions and legends for thousands of years. Just like anything else in this world, there are selected places on UFO sightings that are known to be popular.

Mexico: It was reported in 1991 that there was strange aircraft hovering in the sky. In January this year, it was again reported that there was a horse-shaped UFO hovering near Colima volcano.

The government reported neither a silver disc-like object, which later confirmed that it was neither man-made object nor a weather phenomenon.

Canada: In 2011, there were about 986 UFO sightings being reported. In 2012, the figure doubled to 1,981. The reports are usually lights in the sky.

Texas: In 2008, twelve residents reported a UFO flying in the air. It has a bright light that moved at incredible speed.

California’s Pacific Coast Highway: UFO sighting have been reported almost regularly along the Pacific Coast Highway.

Since World War II, UFO sightings were reported by thousands of people. But still existing in this modern era.

Auburn — At 4:30 AM on 14 May 2015, I was on my front porch with my daughter as we were enjoying an early cup of coffee before she had to leave early for work. Our house is located almost directly underneath the approach path for our local airport so we have seen almost every imaginable plane. At this time of morning, there was no traffic and the sky was completely clear. I noticed what I first assumed to be a plane that would make a right-bank turn to line up with the runway. However, the lighting was odd in that it would have had to be a plane facing us to offer anything close to what we were seeing in width and display. Overall, it was visible for one minute. This map shows the standard approach to the airport that the object followed silently. I have also included a reproduction of what we saw using some old graphics programs. Thanks to MUFON CMS

California Out of Body Experience

Malibu — Jian O writes, “Though my experience and my report may go beyond many people’s reality. I was out of my body in 1987/88, while I was asleep but it was not a dream. The next morning I heard on the car radio that a UFO was sighted over Malibu the night before that was enough confirmation for me. During the night, I found myself out over the ocean, I could see in all directions at once. I have since learned that this is called being exterior. Therefore my vision perception was not limited by my body’s eyes. Within a very short time; possibly a couple of seconds I noticed a stationary and large pewter grey metallic “fuselage” with a very gentle vertical curve to it such as a cigar if horizontal that was only a foot or so away from me. I approached the metallic skin of the fuselage. I was curious and wanted to go inside, so I simply passed through the very thin wall and into the interior. I had no consideration that I couldn’t pass through objects, and simply moved where I wanted to go without consideration otherwise”.

I looked forward and recognized what must be the cockpit area with curved control panel, with a lot of screens. It was not an aircraft cockpit. I saw at least to vertical poles similar to what a bus has but, no beings at all. However my visit inside got very busy in the short time. As soon as I entered, a loud alarm went off giving the definite sense that I was not supposed to be there. The craft started to move off quickly as I hung on to two poles. The craft spun like rolling a tube one way then the other trying to shake me off. It sped up to the next level of speed. I was still there. Then it made instantaneous acceleration and I drifted out of the rear of the craft.

I awoke in the morning thinking that I’d had a dream taking place in Malibu and heard the radio announcement reporting a sighting over Malibu. I “appeared”, twelve inches above the ocean off Malibu beach. Perhaps that is a pick-up point. I was out of my body, and perhaps this was like being dead. However this particular craft may not have been there for the purpose of picking up people whose body recently died. Perhaps I didn’t qualify as my body was not dead. Colorado Object

Walsenburg – I was taking pictures of my dog before 1 pm facing east towards I-25 between mile marker 63 and 62. I took pictures and didn’t notice anything until I reviewed them and noticed this object. Earlier there was a reflection blur from the sun off a possible weather balloon or object. This object was not in the other photos taken within moments in the same area.

There was a dark spot in the last photo in a different area that was odd.

Sawgrass, Tallahassee — This UFO was televised over USA Golf Championship when someone was watching TV and noticed a UFO shooting past the golf ball on May 8, 2015. Cameras always follow the ball, so they panned to the sky and the UFO was noticed. There are some bright lights on the screen of the TV, as the witness recorded the video with his cell phone. The lights from behind him are reflecting off the TV screen. The UFO does not appear to be a reflection. It solid and seems to move slower than the ball does. SCW

Edinburg — My visitors were flying all over out here two evenings ago. They were here late night but I wasn’t going out because I had my 3 year old grandson here and they are not taking him. My son said that a few nights ago one of the visitors had shined a light on him and his girlfriend and then it disappeared. I still wish someone had the answer as to why the one visitor always follows me. I know one thing I sure don’t sleep much at night when I know they are here.

New Jersey Massive Bright White Light

Long Beach Township — The most recent event of several this past year occurred in April 2015, and again it occurred around 3 am. The event began with me asleep in my bedroom, and we awoke by the sound of three distinct bell-like tones, with a brilliant white light shining in our windows and 4 patio doors that make up the bedroom wall. They open out on a deck and the deck looks out on a canal behind our house. The light seemed 60 feet wide covering the house.

I ran to the doors as the light moved over the house, followed by a deep black shadow in its wake. I then saw a circular flat disc moving up the canal with white rotating lights on top. Further out over the ocean’s edge 20 feet over the waves I saw black wedge-shaped craft with 5 huge round white lights-moving silently. Brilliant white lights shine in our bedroom windows frequently, usually between 3 and 5 am and they simply disappear. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Bridgewater — I was driving south on Route 202/206 and noticed a very low flying craft up ahead on May 12, 2015. We were approaching the high voltage power lines south of I-78. It was gliding slowly eastbound and five had large lights along the wings. Ten seconds later the craft came into sight again gliding westbound.

It was about 500 feet off the ground and the “wing” span was at least 100 feet. There was one small bluish ring of light about 50 feet behind the center white light. We crossed paths and I drove under it as it glided out of view very slowly. Thanks to MUFON CMS

North Carolina Light

Louisburg — On May 13, 2015, I took the initial picture because my neighbor had been talking about hearing a hum come and leave the past two nights. It was very white and very bright and all looked much closer and larger than any of the other stars in the area which my camera did not pick up. After enlarging and zooming in on the subject taken with a 12MP Kodak Easyshare camera, I discovered it looked insanely abnormal. After a while it went below the trees, much faster than the orbit and rotation of the planet earth and the Milky Way ought to have allowed it.

Ohio Lights

Cincinnati — Working in my back yard I saw objects in sky without wings with nearly blunt ends front and back on May 17, 2015. It was aluminum in color with two square/rectangular patches toward front and two patches toward rear that were brighter as if polished or more reflective. The speed was similar to airplane at 10,000 feet? I ran to grab my camera in hopes that I would catch a picture on the other side of clouds but never could relocate it. These pictures are the closest images I could find to what I saw. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Tennessee Disc

Tellico Plains — Our riding group had just pulled off onto 3750 feet high Brushy Ridge Overlook where I was taking photographs of the view. No object was seen by anyone and sounds were heard.

It wasn’t until later when I was looking at my 50 photographs that I observed the disc on this photograph. An earlier photo showed a black object in the distance, but I was not able to tell if it is the same object. That photograph would have been in the proper time sequence if the object was moving east. Texas Light

El Paso — Some white dots in the sky occupies our thoughts so much so that we almost miss the other UFOs in this video on May 5, 2015. At 45 seconds into the video a metallic disk shoots from right to left at incredible speed at 45 seconds in the video. It may take a few tries to catch it so don’t expect to see it on the first try. This was a low flying UFO, probably scouting for the two UFOs higher up. Thanks to UFO Sightings Daily

SEGUIN — While driving a truck east bound, on IH 10 on May 4, 2015, I heard the chatter on the citizens band radio about a UFO. They kept talking about these UFOs, strange lights emitting intense heat that made a truck crash when the object crossed over the highway at mile marker 599. At mile marker 614 and I saw very bright flood lights through the fog. I saw the brightest, clearest 11 lights in a 200 foot wide circle with one light missing. There was one in the middle emitting a beam to the ground about 15 feet from the roadway. As I drove under the objects lights at 65 mph I felt intense heat. About 100 yards down the road there was an UFOs on the left and right and another UFO 100 yards down on the left. They did not move and made no sound. I used to live on Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah where I saw lots of strange things fly around, but these were the scariest that changed my life. We drove by the overturned 18-wheeler at mile marker 599.

Utah Light

Hatch — We were traveling north on Highway 89 near on May 13, 2015. My son who is autistic and rarely speaks unless he has a question or gets excited was sitting in the rear passenger side of our vehicle. He says “Dad Look” I thought he was just excited by the cloud formation. I was in the front passenger seat shooting pictures on the way to Red canyon. I lowered my window and took the picture. When I went to review the shot with him I noticed a blue blurred oval in the picture. Thanks to MUFON CMS

I recently came across this photo on a real estate web site while looking for a new home. I noticed something in the upper right hand corner that looked like a bird so it peeked my interest.

Sao Paulo — Glowing lights were seen over Sao Paulo near a hole in the clouds on May 12, 2015. The sky was overcast, except a single place that light shines through.

At first the light looks to be the sun, but we see the UFOs near it so it’s possible the bright light is the mothership. What are your thoughts on this footage?

Scarborough — On May 6, 2015, I came outside from work into our parking lot for a break at 3:03 pm. The sky was quite clear along with some jet trails. After a couple minutes I noticed a strange glinting light less than a mile away whose movements were jerky.The object flew at 200 feet or less and was shape shifting? As I photographed, I yelled to two coworkers, “Look a UFO.”

The object was moving slowly northwest – less than 100 MPH and I got six decent shots. I found one with two unknown objects together. The longer one looks like a spaceship! Vancouver Island — A couple in Esquimalt, got raw footage of what they say is a UFO near an Esquimalt Canadian Naval Base (CFB) on May 11th, 2015. The news many years ago was always fast to say it’s Venus, a weather balloon, but we all know the new term they use to try to discredit UFO sightings is drone. We had a feeling and looked up. But drones don’t cause feelings, I have had such feelings before and it rang true when I saw UFOs. Don’t let the shadow government dictate what you think it is. Iran Lights

Tehran – I saw two UFOs, one is closer and it turns yellow, red, and purple, the one which is farther away is red on May 6, 2015. I’m at home and I still can see them. I always look at this view and I’m sure they are not airplanes. It seems the one which is far away doesn’t move for 20 minutes. The one which is closer seems to move slowly and it seems it is rotating. I can see the Milad Tower next to them. I am on the 12th floor of the building. Maybe they were a toy because I saw another one again tonight at the same time as yesterday. But the altitude was about 200 meters.

Mexico Orbs

Mexico City – A flotilla of objects were captured on film on February 28, 2015. On having come to house, I took my binoculars and video camera Handy Cam MOD. CCD TRV75 and I rose to the roof to see if it was managing to obtain images of the objects that hours earlier we had seen. I managed to see in the far distance 7 objects that were moving to the northwest. These are some of the bests OVNIS that I have recorded, from 4,000 to 5,000 meters altitude.

UK/England Lights

Newcastle Upon Tyne — I was outside at night on May 15, 2015, having a cigarette and saw this white star like shape moving across the sky. It changed direction in the blink of an eye and headed in a totally different direction. I called my son out and my wife to witness this and again reversed. We have been watching this happen on many occasions as this light is a common occurrence for us.

We are all counseling practitioners and know what we saw and are not crazy. It is always an amazing feeling when I see this happen. I hate the feeling of watching the light fade into the distance at a fast speed. I am a believer in life on other planets.

UK/Wales Triangle

Four Crosses — A keen astronomer believes he saw a UFO in the skies above his home at 10 pm close to the Montgomeryshire border on April 9, 2015. This is the second unexplained incident within a year in the area. Jamie Keeling, 28, from Four Crosses claims to have heard a low deep rumbling noise from above. Mr. Keeling says he saw a large black triangular craft flying overhead with a bright, pulsating red light at each corner, travelling at a constant speed and height. It looked very large in size and was travelling due east. “My father is a pilot, and I am a keen amateur astronomer, so I know what I am looking at. Mr. Keeling said, “It was impossible to distinguish whether the lights came from one large triangular aircraft or three military aircraft flying in formation. He said there were no stars visible between the three red lights.

Suzanne Hansen’s credibility as a UFO expert and activist

Suzanne Hansen has been a powerful and effective force in bringing about UFO and extraterrestrial disclosure in New Zealand.  She is credited with helping bring about the recent disclosure of secret UFO and extraterrestrial files by the Defence Force of New Zealand on Wednesday, December 22, 2010.  The New Zealand Defense Force released over 2,000 pages of reports by civilians, military personnel, and pilots, detailing unexplained aerial sightings (UAS)

UFO group reports New Zealand defence chief resistance to, final release of classified UFO documents

As this reporter wrote,  Suzanne Hansen of New Zealand’s UFO Research, Support and Resource Network has publicly released official correspondence with Lt Gen Jerry Mataparae, Chief of Defence Force NZ following the decision by New Zealand’s Ministry of Defence to release previously classified details of UFO and extraterrestrial-related files.

Lt Gen Jerry Mataparae’s official correspondence indicates that he initially resisted release of the classified UFO documents, stating “’It would require a substantial amount of collation, research and consultation to identify whether any of that information could be released,’ and that he was not in a position to deploy staff to undertake that task, given other work priorities.”

The Ministry of Defence decision to release New Zealand’s classified UFO and extraterrestrial files was reported January 29, 2010.

In December 2009, fourteen months later the beginning of intensive communications with Ms. Hansen’s UFO group, Lt. Gen. Mataparae as Chief of Defence stated in a letter to UFOCUS NZ, “I am pleased to be able to inform you that two NZDF officers have begun the task of assessing classified files held in relation to this topic with a view to declassification.  I would expect that files which are transferred to Archives New Zealand would be subject to extensive embargo periods in terms of access by the general public.”

UFO document release follows MOD Dec. 9 letter to UFOCUS NZ

The Ministry of Defence classified UFO document release followed Lt. Gen. Mataparae’s Dec. 9, 2009 letter to Suzanne Hansen.

Ms. Hansen states, “A Chief of Defence Force office spokesperson advised, ‘The declassification of the UFO files is now a ‘work in progress’ in conjunction with Archives New Zealand.  The files must be amended to meet new requirements of the Privacy Act.’ The Defence Force will notify UFOCUS NZ when this process is completed later this year, and the research network will be given the opportunity of access to the files.”

Ms. Hansen states “UFOCUS NZ’s own archives contain credible and detailed UFO sighting reports from New Zealand pilots, air traffic controllers, and military personnel.  In addition, the research network holds sighting reports from members of the public who experienced significant UFO sightings dating as far back as 1908.  Some of these prominent cases were investigated by NZ Air Force personnel, and she is hopeful the MOD files may contain their reports.”

In a later communication to this reporter, Mr. Hansen stated, “The Chief of Defence originally supported the idea of declassification, but needed to confer with other officials regarding constraints and embargos.  Some files will still remain under embargo.”

In preparation for this article, Ms. Hansen submitted the following statement to this reporter Alfred Lambremont Webre:

Hi Alfred

 Thanks.  I have written up the accompanying description a little better for you: –

 (1) During this experience at age eight, I was initially taken to a large room in which I ‘played’ with children of mixed species, using mind games to facilitate telepathic communications between us.  The interesting thing is that I could ‘see’ the objects being produced by our minds, with both my mind (thoughts) and my eyes.  You will notice a strange small bed in this drawing with a baby on it and a Grey beside it.  In another regression session, Mary Rodwell regressed me to when I was 6 months old, where I could see myself lying on this small bed.  I have nick-named it the ‘lullaby bed’ and a description of how and why this bed is used with human babies, and the technology involved, features in another chapter of my book. 

(2) I was invited to accompany a Grey to a room where I was to meet another ‘child’.  Here I am as an eight-year-old girl, during my first ‘official’ meeting with the ball of blue light, learning to relate to the soul of my future son through play.  The Greys ‘observed’ from another area of the craft to see if we would be suited. 

 (3) At age 28, I was taken onboard craft for a ‘merging’ procedure, where the soul of my future son would enter my body, and that of my unborn child, for the first time.  Two Grey-mixed-species entities comforted me, while a Grey began a procedure to lower my metabolism prior to the soul entering my body.

    The first shows the large room in which I ‘played’ with children of mixed species, using mind games to facilitate telepathic communications between us.  The interesting thing is that I could ‘see’ the objects being produced by our minds, with both my mind (thoughts) and my eyes.  In another regression I did with Mary, I described being taught to project a hologram from my mind into the air in front of me.  (A chapter of my book, called ‘The Test’, is devoted to this particular onboard experience.)  You will notice a strange bed in this drawing, with a baby on it and a Grey beside it.  I have nicknamed this the ‘lullaby bed’ and it also features in another chapter.  Mary regressed me to 6 months old, where I could see myself lying on this bed, or piece of technology.

    The second drawing shows me as an eight year old learning to relate to the soul of my future son, the blue ball of light, through play – chasing it around the room while the Greys ‘observed’ to see if we would be suited. 

    The third drawing shows the two entities (mixtures of Grey and another species) comforting me as a Grey begins a calming procedure to lower my metabolism prior to the soul of my son entering my body, and that of the unborn child.

    I am very grateful to my husband, who is an artist, for doing draft drawings for my book.  I sit with him for hours in order to get them as close as I can recall to the real thing.

NASA's Plan To Make Cheap Spacecraft That Will Explore Distant Worlds

Right now, the cost of studying the atmosphere of a distant planet or moon is a multi-million dollar mission. But NASA is working to make space exploration way more affordable—using cheap, lightweight CubeSats.

The CubeSat, a spacecraft that is just 10cm by 10cm, has been enthusiastically adopted by citizen scientists, students, and budget-strapped researchers over the past few years. Even a high-end CubeSat with a sophisticated suite of sensors and communications gear usually costs just a few thousand dollars, and they can fly with everything from cameras to biology experiments.

In short, there’s a lot you can do with a CubeSat—as long as you only want to do it in low Earth orbit. Since CubeSats usually don’t have their own propulsion systems, launch vehicles have to drop them off between 160km and 2,000km above the Earth. And from the moment they arrive, their orbits begin to decay.

Jame Esper, a technologist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, is trying to change that.

The idea is pretty simple: Just add a module with propulsion and attitude control systems, so the CubeSat can move around once it’s in space. Add a shielding module to protect it from the heat of entering a planet’s atmosphere, too. NASA calls the project CAPE, or CubeSat Application for Planetary Entry Missions.

Esper and his team visualize launching CubeSat probes from spacecraft, then sending them out into the Solar System to study the atmospheres of targets like Jupiter or Saturn’s moon Titan. This would cost thousands of dollars, instead of the millions it usually costs to build and launch an interplanetary probe. Researchers could even drop a small fleet of CubeSats into Jupiter’s atmosphere to collect data from several locations. The the Micro-Reentry Capsule, or MIRCA, would shield the CubeSats as they plunged through the atmosphere, and their sensors would gather data and transmit back to Earth until the last moment.

CubeSats could even go beyond the solar system, by using small solar panels, or perhaps even a LightSail. In fact, there are lots of possibilities for propulsion. An interplanetary CubeSat could potentially use an ion propulsion system like the one that carried NASA’s Dawn spacecraft to Ceres, for instance, and several companies have been working on other tiny propulsion methods in recent years, following the growing interest in CubeSats.

So far, Esper hasn’t described these potential propulsion systems in much detail, but in a recent statement, he said that he hopes to find partners to work with on the CAPE service module after his team tests the micro re-entry capsule in a high-altitude balloon drop this summer. They’ll drop the module from a balloon 18.6 miles above Fort Sumner, New Mexico, and it will break the sound barrier on its way down to the desert floor. That drop will test MIRCA’s aerodynamic stability.

Next year, Esper and his team hope to test a CubeSat re-entry system by launching one from the International Space Station. If all goes well, these little devices could eventually be our vanguards to planets currently far beyond our reach.

The remains of a 200,000 year old advanced civilization found in Africa

The incredible discovery was made in South Africa, around 150 km west of port Maputo. There, we find the remains of a huge metropolis that measures, according to tests, around 1500 square kilometers. This ancient city is, according to researchers, part of an even larger community with about 10,000 square kilometers and is believed to have been constructed 160,000 to 200,000 years before Christ.

The region is somewhat remote and the “circles” have often been encountered by local farmers who assumed they were made by some indigenous people in the past. But, oddly, no one ever bothered to inquire about who could have made them or how old they were. This changed when researcher and author, Michael Tellinger, in association with Johan Heine, a local fireman and pilot who had looked at these ruins for years, decided to investigate them. Heine had the unique opportunity to see these incredible structures from the air and knew that their significance was not appreciated.

“When Johan first introduced me to the ancient stone ruins of southern Africa, he had no idea of ​​the incredible discoveries we would make in the following years. These incredible ruins mostly consist of stone circles, most have been buried in the sand and are only observable by plane or satellites. Some have been exposed to climate change that has removed the sand, revealing the walls and foundations.

Double UFO Glide By Near Cardiff, Wales

Barry resident Jeanie Rebane had an unusual UFO experience while driving last night. So moved by the event, she posted her drawing and her account of her experience on Facebook.

Jeanie noticed two craft when she was driving down Salisbury road at 10:30pm last night. “I was about halfway down when suddenly this plane/craft/ufo with a wing span/s of nearly the width of the street, and so low it was just above the rooftops, was coming towards me. Then I saw there was another one just behind it that appeared to be following it. There was barely any noise and both were moving very slow. I was transfixed as they were so big, then they both glided off to the left over the houses at the top of Porthkerry Park. I couldn’t see any cabin or even the shape or body of plane just the huge big white lights, also it has smaller red lights (see drawing) underneath. It was awesome but freaky!”

Jeanie wondered if anyone else had seen anything like it? One of Jeanie’s Facebook friends, Carole Jenet, commented that she had seen them as well. “I saw them too and thought they were just two very, very strange planes. I was standing on the patio at 11pm, in Sunbury on Thames, on the river. I was facing south and these two planes/flying things came from behind me over the roof and headed towards the south coast. As we are near Heathrow I just thought they were huge planes of some kind, but we are not in the flight path here and there was no noise from any engines and the two were very low in the sky! What the hell were they?

Carole, who was staying with friends adds, “The lights were extremely bright on these things, far brighter than a normal plane.” carole speculated that they may have been Russian surveillance planes giving the UK the once over but as she says, “They were very slow moving and no noise!”

We’d be interested to know if anyone else had a similar UFO experience last night either in Cardiff or along the suggested flightpath towards London.

One Earth Message to crowdfund our first words to aliens

New Horizon probe could carry Earth's message of greeting into deep space

A crowdfunding project is bidding to commandeer Nasa’s Pluto probe and send if off into deep space to meet extraterrestrials with a message from the people Earth.

"It's not simply a photo contest," the project’s leader, Jon Lomberg, told Space.com. "It's a process that's going to find out what people want to send."

New Horizons is set to make the first-ever fly-by of Pluto on July 14. After its primary mission is complete, it will eventually head out into the Kuiper Belt - an asteroid belt-like region beyond our solar system - after which it’s hoped by Lomberg and his supporters that it may one day be found by an alien species possibly millions of years from now.

"We'll never know if this extraterrestrial audience that we're designing it for will receive it. But we do know that the people of Earth who participate, who play a role in it - it can literally change their lives."

The crowdfunding campaign is live on Fiat Physica just 3 per cent of the way towards its target but still 52 days left to draw in the pledges. You can support the project from as little as $5 but it’s a minimum of $50 to get your name written in the stars.
