"Unidentified Flying Objects and mysterious happenings in Papua New Guinea" - a file emerges

Introduction

Last year, I located details on the National Archives of Australia (NAA) RecordSearch database system, of a previously unknown UAP file. I submitted a request for the file to be examined for release. It has taken until now for this request to be processed, and for a PDF copy of the file to be made available to me.

The file cover gives the title as "Unidentified Flying Objects and mysterious happenings in PNG." The PDF file contains 107 pages of documents. Interestingly, the file cover bottom right hand side, says "PART File 69/4393," and the inside cover, states "Confidential part file cancelled 15/2/71." The end cover of the file goes on to state, "Unclassified part of 69/4393." Later on  in this post, I will provide my interpretation of the meaning of all these comments.

Contents

The first sighting on the file is dated 6 Dec 1957 from "Patrol post, Vanimo, Sepik District."... where two corporals reported a nocturnal, bright, white light descending apparently to the ground, for a ...muffled impact was heard." The corporals were Royal Australian Engineers. Due to time and financial limitations, a decision was taken to do nothing about the report.

A memo, dated 12 Feb 1958, from the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial and Research organisation (CSIRO)  to the Department of Territories (DOT) concluded that the object was most likely a meteor. A Department of Defence (DOD) memo, dated 26 Feb 1958 included (we) "...would appreciate being informed of any similar observations in the future. It is not, however, considered that a search would be justified from the Defence aspect in this particular instance."

Mysterious explosion

Image 98 of the digitised file is an encrypted radiogram addressed to "Territories Canberra" received 8 Jul 1958. Image 97 decodes the cable. Three people reported a "mysterious light explosion" between 1900-2100hrs July 2nd. Later papers reveal that the location was "South of the Shortlands."

Fallen object

A June 1959 radiogram to Canberra reported a UFO at 1900hrs Sunday 24 May 1959. Looking westwards, high in the sky, an object was seen to descend "...erratically in SW direction. Colour was of a brilliant blue." Disappeared at 2015hrs. A DOD memo dated 29 Jun 1959 noted they had copied the report to both the Departments of Air, and Civil Aviation.

Venus?

The next set of papers involves a series of observations from Baniara, Milne Bay District. An unidentified light was seen on various dates. There was debate about whether or not it was the planet Venus.

An unknown

Another sighting came from Giwa, on 26 Jun 1959, 8 miles from Baniara in Goodenough Bay. An object appeared at about 1915-1930hrs from the north to north-east. It descended, then hovered at an estimated 500 feet. It was at a 45 degree angle of elevation.

"It had the silhouette of a rugger football, and had a kind of ring around it with about four semi-domed portholes visible in the side that I could see. A glow was coming from these portholes. It remained hovering for about four minutes and then disappeared rapidly in a southerly direction. The following morning I went across to a village just below Boianai, and there the natives asked me if I had seen the 'new American Air Force' that had appeared the previous evening." (image 86.)

The memo reporting this sighting ended with the words "The Regional Director, Attorney General's Department has been kept fully informed of these reports." This is a reference to the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO.)

Reverend Gill

Blog readers familiar with the 1959 Reverend Gill incident, will now start to take interest in this part of the file.

A gap in the file

At this point in the file, I noticed that the folio numbers on the top right hand corner of each page, which so far were numbered 1-24, suddenly jumped to folio number 33. There is a gap where folios 25-32 are missing.

UFOlogists unite

Image 83 is dated 25 Nov 1959 and is a letter addressed to "The Honourable PMC Hasluck, MHR, House of Representatives, Canberra." The letter is signed by five leaders of Australian UAP research groups. It forwards a report on "...a series of recent factual sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) seen over New Guinea."

By way of a memo dated 30 Nov 1959, the Secretary, DOT wrote to the Administrator of PNG, forwarding a copy of the letter and attached report. A list of recent PNG sightings was given and then "I should be glad if you would let me know whether any investigation of these reports has been undertaken by the Administration and, if not, let me have your views on the practicability of doing so."

Images 66 to 80 are of a "Report on Unidentified Flying Objects: Boianai, Territory of Papua and New Guinea 1959 by W B Gill, Boianai 14/7/59." which has appeared over the years in dozens of UAP publications.

Australasian Post

The October 13 1959 issue of the magazine "Australasian Post" article on the Reverend Gill and other sightings are shown at images 59-62.

Investigation

A memo dated 31 Dec 1959 from the Administrator, PNG to the Secretary DOT stated "The District Officer, Samarai, has been requested to comment on the reported sightings...He has also been asked to refer the matter on to an officer in the immediate area...so that local natives may be questioned..." (image 58.)

The response, dated 18 Jan 1960 advised that  "...no fresh reports of sightings have been made at Baniara...It is noted that Rev N Crutwell of Menapi had new sightings reports, and had passed these on to the "... Brisbane branch of the "Flying Saucer Review" an English Journal...Other than officers observing and reporting on these sightings, it does not seem practical for this Administration to take other action."

Newspaper article

The "Pacific Island Monthly" for October 1959 gave an overview of sightings including those of Reverend Gill and others. (Images 55-56.)

Department of Defence

A memo dated 8 Mar 1960 from DOD to DOT advised that copies of PNG reports had been forwarded to "...the heads of the Australian Joint Services Staffs in London and Washington for any interpretation of the reported phenomenon, which they could obtain from the United Kingdom or United States authorities."

"The head of AJSS London has informed us that the United Kingdom authorities were interested in the reports, some of which they considered could refer to meteors. The general feeling seemed to be that with so many independent reports in a fairly short period of time the phenomena could not be dismissed as imaginative observations and it was reasonably certain that something unusual was observed. They were not, however able to offer any explanation but expressed an interest in receiving further reports." No reply yet from Washington.

Another memo, this one dated 24 Mar 1960 from DOD to DOT included "The head of the Australian Joint Services Staff in Washington has forwarded to us an evaluation of the sightings made by the Aerospace Technical Intelligence Center. The Center was able to confirm that none of the sightings were due to known satellites but, on the evidence, considered that some of the reports could refer to the refracted light of stars and planets..."

Phenomena observed

A teleprinter message dated 3 Jun 1960 provides the following. 2320hrs 31 May 1960. Manus island. "Brilliant blinding light followed three to four minutes later by series of heavy explosive sounds." It was passed onto the DOD.

Images 45-51 describe other objects/lights in the sky, including one at 0400hrs 12 Jun 1961 from Azerita Plantation, Northern districts. Duration 15 minutes.

 "...the shiny object approached from the north east and was shaped like the hollow in a new moon, and could have been delta winged. The object was at an estimated height of 15,000 feet and kept moving backwards and forwards to and from the north-east." It was soundless. "Eventually retreated the way it came."

There is then a four year time gap, but no gaps in document folio numbers. Images 24-43 refer to lights seen in the Milne Bay district in July 1965.

1967- 1969

On 17 Mar 1967 at 1445hrs two objects were reported descending from the sky and falling into the sea, near Finschhafen.

At 0500hrs 16 May 1969 three people at Rabaul reported a stationary, bright white light. "It receded slowly in a south-easterly direction and disappeared about 5.30am."

Observation by radar

A memo dated 9 Jul 1970 from the Administrator, PNG to the Department of External Territories(image 13) reported receipt of a sighting from the Regional Director, Department of Civil Aviation (DCA).

"On the 29th June 1970 at 1720hrs EST, Captain E N Keag, pilot-in-command of F.27 aircraft VH-FNK made the following observation from the aircraft radarscope:

Crossing the Sepik River on the Madang-Wewak track, on descent from 12,500 feet he noted echoes appearing on his radar from 60 degrees green to abeam the aircraft. The radar scale was set at 180 nautical miles and the echoes appeared to be about 60 nautical miles from his aircraft and keeping station with him. There were five cigar shaped objects. With the radar scanning on maximum depression or elevation the echoes disappeared.

The DCA has no record of any aircraft in the area at the time."

1970-1973

Images 4-11 refer to sightings of lights in the sky during these years; and declassification of certain papers on the file.

Gaps

Coming back to the matter of this being a part file and reference to classified papers; I checked the entire file folio numbering system. There are two gaps, namely folios 25-32 and 90-107 are missing from this file. There is a handwritten note at image 24, which states "Folios 90-107 are on classified part."

This does lead me to the conclusion that there is another "classified" part of file 69/4393 somewhere. What it contains is, of course, a mystery.

In summary

What have I learnt from this file? There are numerous papers which have appeared on DOD RAAF files previously uncovered by myself, in the National Archives of Australia. These have been published in a variety of places on the net.

However, this file has some papers new to me, e.g. fuller details of the 29 Jun 1970 aircraft radar observation. Other papers fill in the gaps in my existing knowledge; e.g. the AJSS London comments. Inde, légendes et pluies extra-terrestres - 2012 - up 07-2015

J'ai trouvé l'une des premières références aux pluies étranges se produisant en Inde dans l'Histoire Universelle - Livre Inde Védique (de 1800 à 800  AV J.C.) par Marius Fontane (1838-1914), il y cite notamment des pluies d'or et des pluies sanglantes :

Mais un évènement récent est venu confirmer d'une façon étrange les propos de l'historien :

" En 2001, les habitants de Kerala (sud de l’Inde) ont été témoins d’une pluie rouge pendant une période de (presque) 2 mois. Godfrey Louis, un physicien à la Cochin University of Science and Technology, intrigué par le phénomène, a collecté plusieurs échantillons de pluie rouge pour découvrir ce qui était la cause de la contamination.

L’examen au microscope des échantillons ont montré que la pluie rouge était remplie de cellules rouges qui ressemblaient remarquablement à des insectes traditionnels qu’on trouve sur Terre. Ce qui est étrange est qu’aucune trace d’ADN n’a été trouvée dans ces cellules, ce qui exclut la plupart des cellules biologiques connues (des globules rouges sont une possibilité mais auraient été détruits rapidement par l’eau de pluie).

En 2006, Godfrey Louis a publié ses résultats dans le journal à comité de lecture Astrophysics and Space, avec la suggestion que ces cellules pourraient avoir une origine extraterrestre, peut-être une comète qui se serait désintégrée dans l’atmosphère pour ensuite ensemencer les nuages avec les cellules.

Depuis sa découverte initiale, Godfrey Louis a intensifié son étude des cellules avec une équipe internationale incluant Chandra Wickramasinghe de l’Université de Cardiff (Royaume-Uni), l’un des principaux partisans de la théorie de la panspermie qu’il a développé avec Fred Hoyle.

Les nouvelles recherches de l’équipe ont été publiées sur ArXiv le 29 août 2010

« Nous avons montré que les cellules rouges trouvées dans la pluie rouge survivent et se reproduisent à une température de 121 °C après incubation sur des périodes allant jusqu’à 2h. Dans ces conditions les cellules filles apparaissent dans les cellules mères et le nombre de cellules des échantillons s’accroit avec la durée d’une exposition à 121 °C. Un tel accroissement ne se produit pas à température ambiante, suggérant que l’accroissement des cellules filles est provoqué par l’exposition de la pluie rouge à de hautes températures. Ceci est une confirmation indépendante des résultats rapportés plus tôt par 2 des présents auteurs, affirmant que les cellules peuvent se répliquer à des pressions élevées et à des températures allant jusqu’à 300°C. Le comportement fluorescent des cellules rouges correspond remarquablement aux émissions observées dans la nébuleuse planétaire du Rectangle Rouge et dans d’autres nuages de poussières galactiques et extragalactiques, suggérant, bien que ne prouvant pas, une origine extraterrestre »

Les spores de certains extrêmophiles peuvent survivre à ce type de températures et se reproduire à des températures moins élevées mais jusqu’à ce jour, rien de ce qui a été découvert sur Terre n’a montré un tel comportement à ces températures. "

2012 : Encore des pluies rouges :

" Une pluie extrêmement rare de couleur rouge est tombée durant quinze minutes dans la ville de Kannur, à Kerala, tôt dans la journée du 28 juin 2012. Les habitants ont été troublés, mais ce n’est pas la première fois que l’État connaît une pluie colorée.

Cet étrange phénomène a d’abord été enregistré dans le Kerala quelques heures après une explosion de météorites en juillet 2001, quand un rocher venu de l’espace a explosé dans l’atmosphère. Plus de 120 averses de ce type ont alors été signalées, parfois aussi jaunes, vertes voire noires.

L’Astrobiologiste Godfrey Louis, pro-vice-chancelier de l’Université Cochin des Sciences et de la Technologie (Cochin University of Science and Technology, CUSAT) situé non loin du lieu de cette averse, a étudié les échantillons prélevés de cette pluie et y a découvert quelques propriétés étranges, notamment un phénomène d’autofluorescence- lumière caractéristique des structures cellulaires comme les mitochondries. L’analyse scientifique a montré que la coloration rouge vif était due à des particules microscopiques ressemblant à des cellules biologiques, peut-être originaires de fragments de comètes.
Louis estime que ces cellules pourraient être extraterrestres car il existe déjà plusieurs théories reposant sur l’hypothèse que les comètes pourraient avoir un noyau d’eau chaude rempli de nutriments chimiques capables de soutenir la croissance microbienne.

Il a déclaré, par mail à The Epoch Times, que « ce type de comètes peuvent se briser en petits morceaux alors qu’elles se rapprochent du Soleil au cours de leur voyage en orbites fortement elliptiques », en ajoutant que « ces fragments peuvent rester en orbite et plus tard entrer périodiquement dans l’atmosphère terrestre ».

Selon Louis les nuages de pluie rouge sont apparus du fait de particules rouges dans l’atmosphère issues d’un météore fragmenté.
« Il peut y avoir une quantité de l’ordre de 100 millions de cellules dans un litre d’eau de pluie rouge », a-t-il déclaré, « la pluie rouge pouvant apparaître sombre comme du café si la concentration de ces cellules dans l’eau de pluie est plus dense ». Ces cellules «aliennes» ressemblent à des cellules normales, mais il leur manque les molécules biologiques habituelles comme l’ADN et on s’attend à y découvrir un système biochimique relativement différent.

Louis explique que « contrairement à d’autres cellules biologiques, ces microbes de pluie rouge peuvent résister à des températures très élevées », et il ajoute qu’« il est possible de les cultiver à des températures aussi élevées que 300 degrés centigrades ». « Même les bactéries appréciant la chaleur, dites thermophiles, les plus résistantes de notre Terre ne peuvent supporter les conditions auxquelles peuvent se soumettre les cellules rouges ». « A l’heure actuelle nous connaissons les microbes hyperthermophiles, mais ceux-ci ne survivent pas au-dessus d’une température de 122 degrés centigrade ».

Auparavant il a été suggéré que cette pluie colorée aurait été le fruit d’un mélange d’eau et de particules de poussière du désert. Cependant cette idée a dû être abandonnée en raison de l’apparition très localisée de ce phénomène malgré les changements climatiques qui durent depuis deux mois. Louis a également étudié la pluie jaune, affirmant que celle-ci contient des matériaux dissous qui nous sont inconnus, mais qui ne sont pas les cellules rouges.

« La pluie jaune et la pluie rouge sont liées par le fait qu’elles montrent toutes deux cette caractéristique inhabituelle, à savoir l’autofluorescence », a-t-il déclaré. « On en déduit que les matières dissoutes dans la pluie jaune sont des sous-produits de ces micro-organismes ».

Les chercheurs essayent d’identifier les composants moléculaires des cellules rouges et d’approfondir leurs connaissances en matière de pluies colorées. par Arshdeep Sarao, Epoch Times

Dans l'Hérault, il pleut des excréments !

Excédé, Gilles Texier cherche, avec son association, des réponses à un phénomène régulièrement signalé. Il n’en peut plus. Depuis quelques mois, cet habitant de Saint-Jean-de-Védas constate régulièrement sur sa voiture, sa piscine et sa façade, des tâches brunâtres et malodorantes.

Une blague de très mauvais goût pourrait-on croire, si ses voisins ne subissaient pas les mêmes nuisances. " En me rendant à pied à mon bureau de vote, les dimanches d’élections, j’ai constaté sur le parcours que les voitures, les panneaux de signalisation et les façades étaient recouverts de ces traces ", précise-t-il.

" J’ai compris qu’il s’agissait de matières fécales ". Fort de cette constatation, le Védasien se met en quête de réponses et dépose une main courante auprès des services de la police municipale, qui effectuera les premières constatations.

Il porte une nouvelle fois plainte dans le courant du mois de juin 2012. " J’étais dans mon jardin, torse-nu, et j’ai reçu des particules sur moi. J’ai donc touché, senti, et j’ai compris qu’il s’agissait de matières fécales ", déclare-t-il aux gendarmes de Saint-Jean-de-Védas.

Un constat qui fait froid dans le dos et rappelle que des faits similaires avaient été signalés quelques années auparavant dans le Gard et l’Hérault.

Le 12 juillet, ce chauffeur routier devenu apprenti enquêteur prend la tête d’une association. " En son nom, je me suis rapproché d’un avocat et d’un expert judiciaire pour effectuer des prélèvements et enfin prouver la nature de ces particules nauséabondes ", explique-t-il.

En parallèle, il contacte le maire de Saint-Jean-de-Védas, le préfet de l’Hérault et le nouveau ministre de la Santé pour les avertir de ses mésaventures. " Aujourd’hui, tout le monde est au courant et j’attends des réponses ".

DES AVIONS QUI VIDENT LEURS TOILETTES EN PLEIN VOL ?

" Ces matières fécales qui tombent du ciel ne sont pas le fait des oiseaux, mais bien des avions qui dégazent leurs eaux usées en plein vol."

Une accusation portée par Gilles Texier, et vivement contredite par Allain Monadier, responsable montpelliérain de l’entreprise Latecoer, chargée de l’entretien des avions. " La vidange d’un gros-porteur s’effectue à chaque arrêt grâce à un camion." Pour ce faire, la trappe de vidange située à l’extérieur de la carlingue doit être déverrouillée manuellement et mécaniquement. Une explication peu probable donc, d’autant que " toute fuite entraînerait la dépressurisation de l’appareil, automatiquement signalée sur le tableau de bord par un voyant électronique, et consigné au journal des incidents ", précise le professionnel, avant de conclure, catégorique : " Les avions sont hors de cause."

Contacté par le plaignant, l’aéroport de Fréjorgues a cependant effectué les vérifications d’usages.

MAJ 07-2015 :  " Ce mercredi 27 juillet, il est 5 h 30 du matin lorsque les habitants de Changanassery, ville du Sud-Ouest de l'Etat Indien du Kerala, sont réveillés par une très forte détonation. Dans la nuit qui règne encore, certains perçoivent distinctement un éclair lumineux. Or, à 8 h 30 le même jour et au même endroit, il se met à pleuvoir... du sang ! C'est du moins ce que croit la population, tant la pluie est rouge. Deux mois durant, les habitants de la région de Changanassery auront à subir ces étranges averses, avant que l'ensemble du Kerala ne soit à son tour concerné. Quatorze grandes villes disséminées aux quatre coins de l'Etat seront finalement touchées par un total de 124 pluies rouges. La demière étant signalée le 23 septembre 2001, à plus de 300 kilomètres de Changanassery ; sur la ville de Kannur, dans le Nord, à l'autre extrémité de l'Etat du Kerala.

Le phénomène est si étrange, si peu commun, qu'il suscite dans la population les fantasmes les plus fous. On y voit l'annonce d'une catastrophe imminente et le bruit se répand dans la presse locale que les pluies pourraient être, avec l'effondrement constaté de puits, un signe avant-coureur d'un séisme dévastateur. De fait, en 1884, l'Angleterre connut une série de séismes juste après un cas similaire de pluies colorées - même si les pluies étaient, dans ce cas précis, noires. Plus sérieusement, les habitants. qui utilisent quotidiennement l'eau de pluie, s'inquiètent d'un éventuel danger pour leur santé. A tel point que le gouvernement indien s'empresse de commander un rapport sur l'origine de ce phénomène au Centre for earth science studies (CESS), l'organisme officiel chargé des questions d'environnement au Kerala.
Remis dès le mois de novembre, le rapport, qui se veut rassurant, n'envisage pas que ces pluies puissent être la conséquence d'une pollution chimique et rejette la possibilité de la présence de particules de sable d'origine désertique ou volcanique. L'explication est donc à chercher ailleurs. Et le feuilleton de commencer... Dans un premier temps, les enquêteurs du CESS semblent convaincus qu'un lien de cause à effet unit la déflagration aux pluies rouges. Pour eux, puisque les deux événements se sont produits en même temps et dans un même lieu, c'est qu'ils doivent faire partie de la même histoire. La première question qu'ils se posent est donc : qu'est-ce qui a bien pu causer cette détonation entendue le matin du 25 juillet ? Intuitive, l'hypothèse du tonnerre est pourtant vite écartée. Car si les témoignages des habitants, recueillis sur place, comparent bien la déflagration au tonnerre, tous insistent sur le fait qu'elle était beaucoup plus puissante.

CENT VINGT-QUATRE PLUIES EN DEUX MOIS

Le caractère exceptionnel des pluies rouges a immédiatement focalisé l'attention des journalistes du Kerala. Chaque pluie a ainsi fait l'objet d'un rapport dans la presse locale, ce qui a permis aux scientifiques d'établir un bilan précis du nombre des pluies rouges et de leur localisation. Ils ont ainsi pu déterminer qu'un total de 124 pluies rouges s'était abattu sur l'Etat du Kerala entre le 25 juillet et le 23 septembre 2001. La plupart d'entre elles ont eu lieu dans le Sud de la région, autour de Changanassery, là même ou une détonation a été entendue, le 25 juillet. Au total, les chercheurs estiment à près de 50 tonnes la quantité de particules rouges ainsi apportée par les pluies.

UN ORAGE AUSSI BREF QU'UN "BANG" !

Les murs et les fenêtres des maisons se sont mis à trembler et certains ont cru que le toit de leur habitation allait même s'effondrer. Une sensation rarement éprouvée après un simple coup de tonnerre. Encore plus exceptionnel serait un orage qui commencerait et finirait par un unique "bang" ! Car, comme le souligne le rapport, "aucun orage ne dure l'espace d'un coup de tonnerre". Or, les témoignages sont formels : une seule déflagration a été entendue. Enfin, la saison n'est pas propice aux orages : en juillet, la région se trouve au beau milieu de la mousson de Sud-Ouest et les vents chargés d'humidité provenant de l'océan Indien la balaient continûment, y déversant leurs contenus d'eau. Une fois établi, ce régime de temps ne permet pas le développement de conditions orageuses", lit-on ainsi dans le rapport du CESS.
Alors quoi ? Qu'est-ce qui a bien pu produire un bruit aussi fort ? Pour les rapporteurs, ce pourrait être le bruit caractéristique d'un objet volant à une vitesse supersonique. Et comme ils n'envisagent pas qu'un avion puisse se livrer à une telle manœuvre au-dessus d'une ville comme Changanassery, les stations radars n'ayant rien signalé de particulier, ils avancent que l'objet en question pourrait finalement être un... météore ! Une hypothèse renforcée par le fait que les pluies rouges sont circonscrites à une zone de forme elliptique de 450 km de long sur 150 km de large, qui rappelle la dispersion caractéristique des poussières de comète après une désintégration dans l'atmosphère. De tels événements sont plus fréquents qu'on pourrait le croire. "Chaque année, 40 000 tonnes de matière cométaire arrivent sur Terre", estime André Brack, du Centre de biophysique moléculaire du CNRS à Orléans. Certes, la plupart de ces météores passent inaperçus, parce qu'ils trop petits ou parce qu'ils tombent au-dessus des océans ; mais une petite partie se signale par une traînée lumineuse et tout un ensemble de bruits pouvant consister en des sifflements, des craquements... ou des explosions. Et justement, parmi ces bruits, dûment répertoriés par une étude conduite dans les années 80, on trouve un type de météore qui colle de manière frappante à la description que les habitants de Changanassery ont faite et dont le nom scientifique est éloquent : il s'agit du type "sonic boom", qui correspond aux météores les plus gros.
Et ce n'est pas tout. "On s'est récemment aperçu que certains gros astéroïdes de la ceinrure d'Edgeworth-Kuyper ou du nuage de Oort, les deux principales sources de météores du système solaire, sont rouges", explique Alain Roten, exobiologiste à l'université de Lausanne. Une couleur qui, selon Jacques Crovisier de l'Observatoire de Paris, "est probablement due aux réactions chimiques qu'engendrent les rayonnements UV et cosmique à la surface des astéroïdes". Le bruît, la lumière, la couleur rouge... Les experts du CESS pensent tenir là l'explication du mystérieux phénomène : le 23 juillet, à 5 h 30 du matin, un météore serait entré dans l'atmosphère et s'y serait désintégré, produisant une très grande quantité de poussières rouges qui aurait atteint les nuages, et s'y serait mélangée à l'eau.

Fin du mystère ? Pas vraiment. Car à l'époque, les analyses chimique et microscopique des pluies rouges n'étaient pas encore disponibles. Or, une fois effectuées, celles-ci vont compliquer la donne et renforcer le mystère. Et pour cause : ces analyses mettent en évidence que ce qui a coloré la pluie est de nature organique et ne peut pas être de la poussière cométaire. Plus précisément, cela ressemble à des spores, c'est-à-dire à des cellules vivantes. Pour en avoir le cœur net, les experts du CESS décident de mettre en culture les particules récupérées lors des différentes pluies de l'été 2001. (voir plus haut les résultats...)

D'AUTRES CAS RESTENT INEXPLIQUÉS

Le phénomène des pluies rouges n'est pas aussi rare qu'on pourrait le penser. Même en France, on connaît aujourd'hui au moins un ou deux épisodes de ces pluies chaque année. Dans la plupart des cas, leur couleur est due à la présence de poussières de sable venues du Sahara. Mais les poussières désertiques n'expliquent pas tout. Il existe bien d'autres exemples de pluies rouges restées inexpliquées et auxquels l'écrivain américain Charles Fort (1874-1932) avait, en son temps, dédié un chapitre de son ouvrage intitulé : Le livre des damnés. Son but : faire une liste de tous les faits étranges rapportés par les grandes revues scientifiques de l'époque et qui, n'ayant pu être expliqués, ont été rejetés par la science. En voici un florilège :
En 1812, les Annales de Chimie évoquent une pluie visqueuse et rouge à Ulm, en Allemagne.
En 1872, la revue Chemical News rapporte un cas de pluies rouges en Sicile contenant de la matière organique. A l'époque, on pense déjà à une origine météoritique.
En 1877, c'est le magazine Nature qui relate une pluie rouge survenue en Italie et qui tache les vêtements.
En 1887, L'Année scientifique publie le cas de pluies rouges en Cochinchine (actuel Vietnam) contenant une substance ressemblant à du sang coagulé.
Enfin, en 1888, L'Astronomie rapporte plusieurs cas de pluies sur la Méditerranée, colorées par une substance rouge non-identifiée qui émet une odeur animale lorsqu'on la brûle... Depuis, personne n'ayant pris la relève de Charles Fort, on ne connaît pas le compte exact de ces pluies...

" Michel Viso, vétérinaire de formation et animateur du groupe d'exobiologie au Centre national d'études spatiales (Cnes), observe que certains pays utilisent de la poudre de sang déshydraté, riche en azote, comme fertilisant. Serait-ce le cas de l'Inde ? Il est intéressant de noter que le Kerala est, avec le Bengale Occidental, le seul Etat indien à autoriser l'abattage des animaux, dont les vaches. Chaque année, il voit ainsi arriver des millions de bovins des quatre coins du pays. "

ET S'IL PLEUVAIT DU SANG DE BOVIN ?

La mise à mort de tant d'animaux génère une quantité phénoménale de sous-produits, dont le sang, pour lequel il faut trouver des débouchés. Or, le Kerala est aussi une grande région agricole dont les besoins en engrais sont élevés. L'université agricole du Kerala propose ainsi de se servir de ce sang comme fertilisant. Aujourd'hui, il est utilisé dans les champs de coton et les plantations de noix de coco, deux des principales cultures de la région. Comme l'explique le Docteur Nybi, de l'université agricole, "la technique consiste à mélanger de 20 à 50 litres de poudre de sang à la terre, au pied des arbres, en une seule fois, au moment de la mousson du Sud-Ouest". La bonne couleur, les bonnes caractéristiques physico-chimiques, le bon timing... Force est de constater que l'hypothèse du sang n'est pas la moins crédible de toutes, même si, là encore, il reste à expliquer la présence du sang dans l'atmosphère. Pour Michel Viso, une seule explication : entre deux pluies, la poudre de sang déposée à la surface du sol aurait été soulevée par le vent et emportée au loin". Ce qui pourrait écarter la question des moindres précipitations, au cours de l'été 2001, dans la région. Une théorie à laquelle Annie Caudichet, spécialiste des aérosols au CNRS, a toutefois du mal à croire : "L'érosion éolienne nécessite des sols secs et nus ; or le Kerala est très humide et son couvert végétal, très développé."

L'enquête en est là. Les pluies rouges tombées sur Changanassery contenaient-elles du sang de vache déshydraté ? Des spores de l'algue Trentepohlia ? De la poussière d'une comète de la ceinture d'Edgeworth-Kuyper ou du nuage de Oort ? De particules biologiques d'origine extraterrestre ? Pour l'heure, impossible de trancher. Des études sont toujours en cours en Inde, mais également en Ecosse... "

" LA VIE VIENT-ELLE DE L'ESPACE ?

Pour les tenants de la panspermie, la vie n'est pas "née" sur Terre mais elle l'a colonisée à partir de l'espace. Littéralement, panspermie signifie "germes partout" : selon cette théorie, les germes de la vie sont partout disséminés dans l'espace interplanétaire, voire interstellaire. Les panspermistes "modernes" pensent que ce sont les comètes qui véhiculent ces germes et qu'en s'écrasant sur les planètes, elles les ensemencent. Ils font remarquer que l'apparition de la vie sur Terre est généralement datée à 3,8 milliards d'années, soit, "juste après" une période d'intenses bombardements cométaires. Certes, cette vieille théorie, qui remonte à Anaxagore, un philosophe grec du Vè siècle avant notre ère, est plus que jamais d'actualité. De plus en plus d'études montrent qu'il est possible à la vie terrestre de se maintenir, au moins un temps, dans les conditions du vide interplanétaire ; des bactéries terrestres ont pu être transportées sur Mars et sur la Lune par des sondes... D'un autre côté, l'eau liquide, considérée par beaucoup comme une condition sine qua non à la vie, serait présente, au moins par intermittence, sur les comètes. Reste qu'aucune comète analysée sur Terre n'a encore montré la moindre trace de vie extraterrestre.

July 11, 2015 - Right now a piano-sized spacecraft is barreling through space at over 3o,000 mph with an important destination: the dwarf planet Pluto and its system of five moons.

On Wednesday, the NASA spacecraft, called New Horizons, was 3.7 million miles away from Pluto when it used its LORRI (LOng-Range Reconnaissance Imager) camera to snap the first clear photo of Pluto ever taken. Here it is, with Pluto's largest moon, Charon, on the left:

Even with a powerful telescope like Hubble, Pluto is simply too small and far away to get a good, clear look at it from Earth.

That's why, in 2006, NASA launched New Horizons on its nine-year, 2.9-billion-mile journey to Pluto. Now the spacecraft has less than a few million miles left before its closest approach on Tuesday.

In this latest image, shown below in black and white, the spacecraft reveals two very different worlds: Pluto has distinctive contrasting dark and light colors on its surface, while Charon has a much smoother surface.

"These two objects have been together for billions of years, in the same orbit, but they are totally different," Alan Stern, the principal investigator of New Horizons, said in a NASA statement.

New Horizons' seven instruments will study Pluto in more detail than any of the five moons, including Charon. But simply from detailed images like this — and many more to come as New Horizons closes in on Pluto — scientists will still get a better understanding of Charon than they ever have before.

"If we see impact craters on Charon, it will help us see what's hidden beneath the surface," New Horizons team member Jeff Moore said in the NASA statement.

New Horizons is quickly closing in on Pluto, at speeds able to cover 1 million miles in just over 30 hours.

NASA has carefully calibrated the spacecraft to fly within 7,600 miles of Pluto on Tuesday. That's one-six-hundredth the distance it was Wednesday, when it snapped that clear photo at the top of this post.

From 7,600 miles, the sophisticated instruments on the spacecraft will be able to resolve features on the surface of Pluto that are the size of Manhattan Island. Here's an example of just how detailed that is:

COULD this image of a bizarre object snapped above the Netherlands be the first ever picture of a portal to another dimension?

Dutch snapper Harry Perton was photographing stormy evening skies over Groningen in his homeland when there was a flash as he fired the shutter, that some believe could be a wormhole – similar to a black hole.

Wormholes are a mysterious scientific theory that there are openings in space-time to another part of the universe or dimension.

At the time he took the picture, Mr Perton did not realise anything out of the ordinary had happened believing it must have been a flash of lightening.

But when he reviewed the shots at home he saw the strange semi-translucent object shaped like an upside down jellyfish or toadstool.

Most of the object is a turquoise colour, while there is a sunlight-esque jet or beam of light at the base.

After it was posted online, it led to a frenzy of speculation, including whether it could be proof of wormholes, alien visitations or even a religious warning.

One commentator said: “That’s a portal, it allows a craft to travel from one end of the universe to the other in a matter of seconds. Someone made a mistake when entering our system and basically got caught. What you’re seeing is a craft entering not leaving.”

Others speculated it could be the result of the Large Hadron Collider LHC being turned back on at twice its original power.

One posted: “It’s a wormhole.” 

The LHC is a huge atom smashing machine which scientists are using to unlock secrets of the universe including whether parallel universes exist.

But some critics fear it is tampering too much with the laws of physics as it is accepted it could create a man made black hole or wormhole – a mysterious theoretical portal through space-time to another part of the universe or dimension.

Mr Perton said: “I was taking photos and suddenly something flashed.

“I decided it must have been a strike of lightning ­ but back at home I saw something strange in one of the photos that I took ­ what looked like a UFO.”

It is not the first jellyfish-shaped UFO to apparently be caught on camera, but appears to be one of the clearest so far.

Other online posted decided it could be a fighter jet sonic boom, or even a sign of the Second coming.

One poster in Malta claimed a whole football team saw it, adding:”We where playing a football game in Malta and all the 16 players we seenit on 26th Tuesday around 8.05pm.”

Another claimed to have seen the same thing six years ago in Wales.

However the bulk of posters offered a more mundane explanation that it was an example of lens flare as the camera was being pointed towards the sun.

Mr Perton remains sceptical, believing it is more likely a meteorological light trick.

- On October 23, 1996 an article from AP called “New rebel planet found outside the solar system” states the following: A new planet that breaks all the rules about how and where planets form has been identified in orbit of a twin star about 70 light years from Earth in a constellation commonly known as the Northern Cross. The new planet has a roller coaster like orbit that swoops down close to its central star and then swings far out into frigid fringes, following a strange egg-shaped orbit that is unlike that of any other known planet.

The Earth could be headed for a 'mini ice age' researchers have warned.

A new study claims to have cracked predicting solar cycles - and says that between 2020 and 2030 solar cycles will cancel each other out.

This, they say, will lead to a phenomenon known as the 'Maunder minimum' - which has previously been known as a mini ice age when it hit between 1646 and 1715, even causing London's River Thames to freeze over.

The new model of the Sun's solar cycle is producing unprecedentedly accurate predictions of irregularities within the Sun's 11-year heartbeat.

It draws on dynamo effects in two layers of the Sun, one close to the surface and one deep within its convection zone.

Predictions from the model suggest that solar activity will fall by 60 per cent during the 2030s to conditions last seen during the 'mini ice age' that began in 1645, according to the results  presented by Prof Valentina Zharkova at the National Astronomy Meeting in Llandudno.

The model predicts that the pair of waves become increasingly offset during Cycle 25, which peaks in 2022.

During Cycle 26, which covers the decade from 2030-2040, the two waves will become exactly out of synch and this will cause a significant reduction in solar activity.

'In cycle 26, the two waves exactly mirror each other – peaking at the same time but in opposite hemispheres of the Sun,' said Zharkova. 

'Their interaction will be disruptive, or they will nearly cancel each other. 

'We predict that this will lead to the properties of a 'Maunder minimum''

'Effectively, when the waves are approximately in phase, they can show strong interaction, or resonance, and we have strong solar activity. 

'When they are out of phase, we have solar minimums. 

'When there is full phase separation, we have the conditions last seen during the Maunder minimum, 370 years ago.'

THE MAUNDER MINIMUM

The Maunder Minimum (also known as the prolonged sunspot minimum) is the name used for the period starting in about 1645 and continuing to about 1715 when sunspots became exceedingly rare, as noted by solar observers of the time.

It caused London's River Thames to freeze over, and 'frost fairs' became popular.

This period of solar inactivity also corresponds to a climatic period called the 'Little Ice Age' when rivers that are normally ice-free froze and snow fields remained year-round at lower altitudes.

There is evidence that the Sun has had similar periods of inactivity in the more distant past, Nasa says.

The connection between solar activity and terrestrial climate is an area of on-going research.

Some scientists hypothesize that the dense wood used in Stradivarius instruments was caused by slow tree growth during the cooler period. 

Instrument maker Antonio Stradivari was born a year before the start of the Maunder Minimum.

It is 172 years since a scientist first spotted that the Sun's activity varies over a cycle lasting around 10 to 12 years.

Many solar physicists have put the cause of the solar cycle down to a dynamo caused by convecting fluid deep within the Sun. 

Now, Zharkova and her colleagues have found that adding a second dynamo, close to the surface, completes the picture with surprising accuracy.

'We found magnetic wave components appearing in pairs, originating in two different layers in the Sun's interior,' she said.

'They both have a frequency of approximately 11 years, although this frequency is slightly different, and they are offset in time. 

'Over the cycle, the waves fluctuate between the northern and southern hemispheres of the Sun. Combining both waves together and comparing to real data for the current solar cycle, we found that our predictions showed an accuracy of 97%,' said Zharkova.

Zharkova and her colleagues derived their model using a technique called 'principal component analysis' of the magnetic field observations from the Wilcox Solar Observatory in California. 

They examined three solar cycles-worth of magnetic field activity, covering the period from 1976-2008. 

In addition, they compared their predictions to average sunspot numbers, another strong marker of solar activity. 

All the predictions and observations were closely matched.

UFO sightings DOUBLED last month – are the aliens up to something?

Whether it’s a huge black flying saucer hovering over Stonehenge, or tiny dots flying past the Space Stations, aliens were pretty busy last month.

UFO hunting group MUFON says that the number of UFO sightings doubled last month – to 1,179 unexplained craft in June.

That’s a rise from just over 600 in the same period the previous year.

Could we be on the verge of ‘disclosure’ – where world governments finally ‘fess up to the fact they’ve been in cahoots with the little green men for decades?

Probably not, according to Roger Marsh of MUFON, who says, ‘We feel it was directly related to the final two episodes of Season 2 of ‘Hangar 1: The UFO Files,.

‘A very high percentage of the June UFO report surge were historical cases.

‘People were watching our show and decided they finally discovered a place where they could report their encounter.

‘”Some of these are very, very interesting and compelling cases currently under investigation.’

Angela Merkel gedwongen om geheime UFO-files vrij te geven die de overheid probeerde achter te houden

Na jaren juridisch getouwtrek heeft de rechtbank in Leipzig de Duitse Bondsdag opdracht gegeven geheime documenten over UFO’s vrij te geven. De Bondsdag heeft een tijd lang geprobeerd de stukken verborgen te houden.

Eerder maakte het Britse ministerie van Defensie bekend in maart volgend jaar 18 geheime UFO-files te openbaren, hoewel nog niet duidelijk is wanneer het publiek toegang zal krijgen tot de informatie.

In 2008 zei toenmalig minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Wolfgang Schäuble dat de Duitse overheid nooit onderzoek heeft gedaan naar UFO’s en er geen interesse in had. Twee jaar later ontdekte Robert Fleischer van Exopolitik.org dat de wetenschappelijke dienst van het Duitse parlement een speciale afdeling had voor het onderzoek naar buitenaardse intelligenties en UFO’s.

De Duitse blogger Frank Reitemeyer sleepte de Bundestag voor de rechter, die tot op heden probeert de documenten geheim te houden. De stukken bevatten onder meer een samenvatting van feiten over UFO’s en de zoektocht naar aliens en details over een VN-resolutie over een internationaal UFO-onderzoeksagentschap.

De Lions Ground Entertainment Group zei in een videoverklaring: “Het nieuws is een doorbraak voor alle UFO-jagers en -onderzoekers.” Anderen zijn bang dat de echte, oorspronkelijke documenten nooit zullen worden overhandigd.

Schrijver Nigel Watson zei: “Soms verbergen overheden dit soort informatie om operationele procedures of andere geheimen te beschermen, zoals bijvoorbeeld namen van getuigen. In dit geval willen ze misschien niet door laten schemeren dat ze dit onderwerp serieus nemen of dat ze net zo in het duister tasten als de rest.”

“Eén ding is zeker: ze zullen geen geheimen over buitenaardse technologie of lichamen van buitenaardsen onthullen, maar we kunnen altijd blijven hopen,” besloot hij.

De Russen hebben een buitenaardse mummie ( Video )

De Russische KGB ontdekte in het begin van de jaren zestig een buitenaardse mummie in één van de piramides in Giza.

Een mummie die wordt genoemd de “Godsbezoeker” en meer dan 12.000 jaar oud is.

De verhouding tussen Egypte en Rusland is zonder meer goed te noemen. Sinds de crisis rondom het Suezkanaal in 1956 heeft Rusland de kant van Egypte gekozen en dat heeft ze het op bepaalde gebieden geen windeieren gelegd.

Het volgende verhaal is ooit uitgezonden via een documentaire op het Amerikaanse netwerk Sci-Fi in 1998. De documentaire, The Secret KGB Abduction Files, is ook ooit maar eenmalig uitgezonden.

Volgens een team van experts, verbonden aan het televisiestation, zijn de opnames echt.

Het verhaal gaat als volgt:

De Russen hadden in 1961 een expeditie georganiseerd naar Egypte onder de naam ISIS (die naam blijft ook maar overal opduiken). Het team bestond uit Egyptologen en militaire experts. De bedoeling was dat men op zoek ging naar kennis die bestond in het oude Egypte en die de Russen zouden kunnen gebruiken in hun militaire toepassingen.

In diezelfde periode vindt er een vreemde toevalligheid plaats.

Twee Bedoeïenen hadden een graftombe ontdekt in één van de piramides van Giza en waren naar binnen gegaan. De twee werden ziek nadat ze de grafkamer hadden betreden en kwamen in het ziekenhuis terecht.

De twee slachtoffers werden in het ziekenhuis niet alleen door de Egyptische veiligheidsdienst ondervraagd, maar ook de Russische KGB.

De twee Bedoeïenen beweerden dat ze de “Godsbezoeker” hadden ontdekt en dit was uiteraard koren op de molen voor Project ISIS.

Het duurde dan ook niet lang voordat de Russische expeditie zich op weg begaf naar de graftombe zoals je op de volgende afbeeldingen kunt zien.

In de stenen sarcofaag bevond zich een buitenaardse mummie met een lengte van ongeveer 2 meter.

De ouderdom van de mummie werd vastgesteld op zo’n 12.000 jaar, ver voordat volgens onze geschiedenisboeken de piramides werden gebouwd.



Is dit misschien het begin geweest van de prille buitenaardse contacten van Rusland die uiteindelijk hebben geresulteerd in een door president Poetin gesloten overeenkomst met buitenaardsen?

Did A UFO Experience Unfortunate Event In Rendlesham Forest In 1983?

U.S. Army personnel stationed close to Rendlesham in Suffolk spotted a mysterious metallic triangle in 1983.

Considered as one of the most unusual events in British history, the Rendlesham Forest Incident will be explored in a new film. Rendlesham UFO has been the subject of a government cover-up for two decades.

In 1983, a weird, metallic triangle, dripping molten metal with a large red eye-like light was observed by U.S. Army personnel stationed near Rendlesham in 1983.

Not like most of the reported UFO sightings, it was highlighted by audio recordings from senior U.S. soldiers, who also took some photos of the object they had seen.

One witness claimed to have received a binary code through telepathy but has never been deciphered.

But despite all of these, the Ministry of Defence concluded that natural phenomena were responsible after they investigated the strange incident.

This explanation has never been accepted by some soldiers involved and UFO fans.

Researcher and film director Daniel Simpson said he did investigations regarding the voice recordings before deciding to direct his fictional take on the incident.

Simpson firmly believes that USAF saw something that was not from Earth.

Witness Lt Col Charles Halt went on record to say the same thing.

Simpson said that the Rendlesham UFO Incident is one of the biggest UFO events if not the largest ever recorded along with Roswell case. It happened for 3 consecutive nights, which Simpson has believed being amplified by USAF personnel’s statements. One of them was a lieutenant colonel, who made a voice recording on a Dictaphone as the incident happened.

Retired soldier Colonel Charles Halt said that their security team saw a light that appeared similar to a large red eye, moving through the trees. According to Halt, it started to drip after a few minutes, something analogous to molten metal.

Other witnesses claimed to have experienced losing time period, seen unusual lights and heard howling noises.

Sceptics have argued that the apparent landing marks were just rabbit holes.

Several soldiers described the craft as flying saucer.

Author of the Haynes UFO Investigations Manual, Nigel Watson, said that the Rendlesham case is one of the most fascinating UFO incidents not only in Britain but the entire world. But no one offered substantial evidence to support the apparent crashes, noted Watson. It has been suspected that debris of crashed flying saucers and their alien pilots were taken away by Government retrieval teams.

Abduction Coverup! MJ-12 and Tau-9’s Extraterrestrial Time Travel Scandal

Majestic 12 (MJ-12) is the code name of a secret committee of scientists, military leaders, and government officials, formed in 1947 by an executive order by U.S. President Harry S. Truman to facilitate recovery and investigation of alien spacecraft after the Roswell, NM UFO incident.

When President Truman was informed about the crash, he authorized Defense Secretary James Forrestal to set up a committee to investigate and deal with the situation. In 1952, when Dwight Eisenhower became President-elect, he was briefed on Operation Majestic-12. The briefing paper listed a 12-man committee and gave details of the UFO crash in Roswell. The final paragraph stressed the need to ‘avoid public panic at all costs’, confirming that the government was covering up the truth about UFOs.

In 1954, in conjunction with the US military, a ship landed to recover the deceased aliens from the Roswell crash. These ET’s made a pact that assumedly still stands today.

According to the work of Dan Burisch, a treaty was created by a group of beings who stated they time traveled from 45,000 years into the future AND 52,000 years into the future in order to obtain our DNA due to a cataclysm on Earth that wiped out most of humanity. Because they were living in underground bases at the time, only some of these people survived. This treaty is known as TAU-9 and involves the exchange of advanced technology for a limited amount of abductions. As part of their agreement, any abducted person would have amnesia and would not remember any part of the abduction or being aboard any spaceship. Terms of this agreement were set to be renewed every 9 years and has been ongoing since 1958.

Because of his involvement and concern for where America was heading, President Eisenhower warned the world of the power of the military industrial complex in his exiting speech in 1961:

It is estimated that there are at least 200 deep underground bases (DUMBs) throughout the world.

According to Phil Schneider, one of these DUMBs is located in UFO hotspot, Dulce, New Mexico.

Because these bases are so secretive and information about them is hidden from the public, it is assumed that they are created for nefarious reasons, including the preservation of those who have kept us enslaved for thousands of years. Supposition has inferred that once underground, the female menstrual cycle becomes irregular and reproduction would drop off significantly. Additionally, many of these people who have been assured underground base privileges come from similar bloodlines, which would be genetically deficient through inbreeding amongst themselves.

If these are they types of beings who returned from the future to harvest our DNA, then do you really think they are benevolent people? I seriously doubt it. Chances are, THEY were the ones who were responsible for whatever cataclysm that became their demise somewhere in the future and are turning to humanity as we know it today to bail them out.

He mused, “if these beings are attempting to warn our government of the perils of having nuclear weapons then, to me, that’s an entirely positive development.” However, he stressed that just because UFOs have taken an interest in our nuclear weapons, it does not mean that they could, or would, prevent a nuclear war should one erupt. “What has happened so far is no predictor of future events,” he warned.

“Among the many wonderful insights we have gained during our excavations in Rano Raraku Zone, Interior Quarry Region this new head is the most exciting!  Measuring 69cm tall, it is located in Square 6 at a depth of 420cm.  When we discovered it the head was standing upright, propped in place with stones, close to the right side of the moai (RR-001-156). The moai, in turn, is unfinished and standing in a basin cut with great skill and care into the bedrock. There was no intention of moving this moai out of the quarry.

 A former NASA astronaut who has walked on the moon has said aliens are not only real but have visited Earth several times.  Dr Edgar Mitchell, said he was aware of several UFO visits during his career, but each one had been covered up.  The 77-year-old, who was a crew member of the Apollo 14 mission, said sources at the space agency had described aliens as resembling “little people who look strange to us”  Dr Mitchell told Kerrang! Radio that human technology was “not nearly as sophisticated” as theirs and had they been hostile, he warned: “We would be been gone by now”. 

He said: “There’s not much question at all that there’s life throughout the universe, we are not alone at all. I’m most assured about that.  “Have we been able to identify where the other planets are? No, certainly not in our Solar System but we have been able to identify quite a number of planets that could be life bearing planets.  “I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we’ve been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real.  “It’s been well covered up by all our governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it’s leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.  “I’ve been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes we have been visited.  “Reading the papers recently, it’s been happening quite a bit.”
