Declassified Documents Reveal The Nazi Bell Was A Secret Worm Hole Time Machine
Declassified Documents Reveal The Nazi Bell Was A Secret Worm Hole Time Machine
Secret operations by leading scientists in Nazi Germany lead to the discovery of one of the most biggest and mysterious wonder weapons – Die Glocke or in English, “The Bell”.
But what made “The Bell” so wondrous? Well, the brightest scientific minds were working on anti-gravity theories which were very popular during World War II. They were the same minds that built V1 and V2 rockets, V2 is the first rocket that can leave Earth’s atmosphere and enter into the depths of deep space.
They are also the same minds that took part in the creation of the first atomic bomb. Hitler alone believed that with the creation of this enormous bell, that World War II will be won.
Leaked Information
Leaked information and de-classified documents have given us the direction in understanding of what this “bell” was all about. It was when in Igor Witkowski’s book called “The Truth About The Wonder Weapon”, this weapon was first introduced to us. He claims that he has been shown classified Polish Government documents by an anonymous Polish intelligence official. In these documents were the most important Nazi research projects, and among them was Die Glocke.
Mainstream belief tends to oppose the existence of such a weapon and classify it as an urban legend. To the contrary of mainstream belief, many people believe in such a weapon, and not just that, they also believe that it had sinister intentions. There are many documents and on TV and the internet that state the Third Reich was doing hard core research before the end of the war in 1945. And, aside from the chemical weapons and tough machinery, it was believed that the Third Reich scientists were working on a supposed time machine.
Top Secret Scientific Facilities
Close to the Czech border, in the near distance to the Wenceslaus mine, in a German research facility for classified governmental research, the allegedly Die Glocke experiment was taking place. The description of the device was pretty precise, and picturing the image in your mind can only leave you even more curious and even scared.
This machine was believed to have great power. Descriptions state that the device was made of heavy metal, around 9 feet wide and up to 15 feet high and had a bell like shape. The information states that the device had two counter-rotating cylinders, filled with mercury-like liquid and had a bluish color. The mercury-like liquid was referred to as “Xerum 25” and was stored in special flasks. Other liquids were added, such as light metal, with thorium and beryllium peroxides.
This device emitted strong and dangerous radiation, which often caused the scientists health problems. Scientists suffered from sleep deprivation, dizziness and some even died due to radiation poisoning. Witkowski speculates that the area around the Wenceslaus mine was used for testing Die Glocke and its anti-gravity powers. Many different proposals were made about the machines ultimate goal, all connected with generating phenomena. It was said that it can generate wormholes even.
Possible Time Travel
Was the Nazi Bell used to travel back in time? Did Hitler want to change history? Physics has shown to us that traveling in the past is very difficult, and there is a paradox known for that specific type of time travel called the “Grandfather Paradox”. What this paradox means is that if we traveled back in time and killed our grandfather, our father wouldn’t be born and we would never be born. There is also a quantum physics theory that is called Many-Worlds, and it states that every conceivable timeline exists in separate parallel worlds, and is equal as the world we inhabit.
On the other hand, wormholes are tunnels made out of space-time fabric that connect very far distances in space in a much shorter distance. Space-time fabric was proposed by Einstein back in the days (1915 to be exact), so the Nazi’s had a pretty good view on space.
Wormholes exist naturally and theoretical physicist John Weeler said it’s possible wormholes to appear spontaneously anywhere and to suddenly disappear, and he has a hypothesis called “quantum foam hypothesis” backing it up.
Did the Nazi’s create a wormhole with the super powerful Nazi bell and plummet somewhere in time? Where is the device now? So many questions rise from such an intriguing experiment making it the most mysterious objects known to man, and if it does still exist, in which hands is it?

Called reptilians, reptoids or draconians, many believe they are among us. They are often associated with the Illuminati and the New World Order in what is perhaps the most prevalent conspiracy in modern times.
The reptilians are an ancient alien race that came to Earth a long time ago, manifesting their hidden interests in enslaving humanity. They originated from the Alpha Draconis star system in the constellation of Draco. There are several variations on their physical appearance but the most common one describes them as reptilian humanoids ranging in height from 5 to 12 feet ( 1.5 to 3.7 meters). Their bodies are covered in dark green or brown scales, they have snake-like heads and have a taste for human blood.
Perhaps the most frightening thing about the reptilians is their shape-shifting mind-control ability. This allows them to rule the world by infiltrating any and all political and economical structures. According to famous conspiracy theorist David Icke, the shape-shifting reptilian aliens control the Earth by taking on human form and manipulating society through political power. He believes that the Bush family and the royal British lineage are all related to reptilians. Obama too.
Throughout history, various cultures have mentioned dealings with reptile-looking humanoids and the serpent is considered a symbol of wisdom in many places. Among the most famous mentions are the 6,500 year-old clay statuettes uncovered in modern-day Iraq. Belonging to the Ubaid culture, these statuettes feature reptile-headed humanoids in poses that suggest the Ubaid people worshiped them.
Dragon-men were said to inhabit the lost continents of Lemuria and Atlantis. They had human bodies and serpent heads and were able to imitate and control humans. Taking into account their malevolent nature, is it too much of a stretch to wonder if they might have had something to do with the destruction of these once magnificent civilizations?
The ancient Hebrews feared and despised the evil god Belial, who was later picked up by Christian culture and personified as the Devil. Belial was often described as being dark, with a viper-like face and blazing eyes. There’s no need to go into detail describing the abilities of the Devil but they certainly include mind-control and the ability to change shape.
Quite a few people believe that the world is dominated by reptilians and that most if not all world leaders are in cahoots with the draconians. A 2013 poll revealed that 4% of Americans believe this to be true. Is this an example of mass illusion or are 96% of Americans oblivious to a real threat? Even if it is true, how can we fight a shadowy force with abilities far superior to our own?

The 'Alien Autopsy' Film (Socorro, NM 1947 UFO Crash)
The 'Alien Autopsy' Film (Socorro, NM 1947 UFO Crash)
In 1995 London based businessman Ray Santilli caused what has been arguably the biggest controversy in the entire history of UFO research when he launched his 'Alien Autopsy' film across the front pages of magazines and via the TV screen in over 20 different countries.

Sample of the material that was found at the likely crash site discovered by Ed Gehrman. Upon analysis, the material was found to be Cristobalite, a high temperature indicator, forming at above 1450 degrees Celsius. Cristobalite is not found normally under the conditions that exist at the crash site.

According to the cameraman the autopsy was performed by "Dr Bronk" and "Dr Williams". Pictured above, Prof. Dr Detlev Bronk (1897-1975) was no surprise, since his name already appeared in the controversial "Majestic 12" documents. He was Chairman of the National Research Council, America's leading biophysicist and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Army, Air Force and of the Atomic Energy Commission. (info: Hesemann)

The Alien Autopsy Cameramans Interview
Alien Autopsy Archive
On December 19, 1996, Japanese based, Fuji TV, braodcasted a 6 minute video tape which presented an old guy anserwing some questions that "Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction" producer, Robert Kiviat supplied to Ray Santilli to give to the cameraman. ...We've been the first to secure the UNCUT 12 minute version (Thx Tom G.) Little new was uncovered, but we do know what he looks like, if indeed he is "the guy." The following is the complete transcript to the interview. R
Article on the "Santilli Alien Autopsy"
Ed Gehrman
I was one of those folks skeptical of the Roswell Alien Autopsy footage. [Then in 1995, on Art Bell's radio show, I listened to] an expert on movie cameras explain film dating. The substance of his remarks and the subsequent wrapup by Bell seemed to indicate that the Roswell Alien Autopsy footage, shown on Fox TV the previous week, was probably authentic. I decided to reexamine my assumptions about this potentially explosive but controversial film footage. R

Creatures With No Business Here: The Cameraman's Crash Site
Ed Gehrman
In 1995 when the alien autopsy was more immediate and pregnant with possibility, several researchers decided to try to find the crash site described by the cameraman. Unfortunately, they were two miles short of their goal. Had they traveled a little further down the arroyo they were searching, they would have come to the site my brother and I found and the whole AA story might have had a different reception
From 'Alien Autopsy Update', by Philip Mantle September 22, 2001
In 1995 London based businessman Ray Santilli caused what has been arguably the biggest controversy in the entire history of UFO research when he launched his 'Alien Autopsy' film across the front pages of magazines and via the TV screen in over 20 different countries. By far the most popular TV documentary made at the time was the Fox Network's 'Alien Autopsy - Fact or Fiction?' which has often been repeated on numerous cable and satellite stations.
RECAP
For those who are unaware of this controversial film, a brief recap might be in order. London video producer Ray Santilli claimed that in l992 he was in Cleveland, Ohio in the USA looking for vintage film clips of rock-n-roll performers from the l950's. People like Elvis Presley and Pat Boone were at the top of his list. Santilli claimed that he met an elderly gentleman from who he purchased a rare clip of the late Elvis live on stage. The elderly chap had filmed the piece himself while working as a freelance cameraman in l950's. Shortly before returning home Santilli was contacted by this elderly cameraman again who this time had something different to offer. The story he told was that prior to being a freelance cameraman he was a cameraman with the US Army and in l947 he had been flown to Roswell, New Mexico on a special assignment. Initially he was informed that he was to film the crash of a Soviet spy plane but on arrival it became clear that this was no Russian plane. Instead he claimed to have filmed the UFO crash at Roswell in l947 and not only that, but the actual autopsy of 2 of the dead aliens.
Quite naturally Santilli was more than interested and at a later date he visited the cameraman at his home to view this other footage. To his amazement it did indeed appear to show the autopsy of an alien. Santilli immediately agreed to buy the film for cash, the only other condition being that he was never to reveal the identify of the cameraman himself. Santilli, not having the amount of money involved, reported to be around $150,000, but never confirmed, eventually turned to his German business partner Volker Spielberg for assistance. Over the next couple of years Santilli purchased the film and transported it to the UK where it was transferred to video. In l993 Santilli contacted myself to see if I might be able to assist in the making of a UFO documentary. Eventually he told me of the film he had purchased and his plans to commercialise it. It was not until early l995 that I first saw any of the film. My wife Sue and I visited Santilli's offices in London on several occasions to view the film. At the time I was the conference organiser for the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA) and already had a conference planned for August l995. I asked Santilli if he would show the film at the conference and he agreed to do so.
In the meantime, after a private screening organised by Santilli in London to an invited audience only, he set about selling the rights to the film to a wide variety of publishers and TV companies around the world. First to publish stills from the film was VSD in France and soon copies were flying around the world via the internet. The day after our conference in August l995 saw the film broadcast on TV around the world. And the rest, they say, is history.

THE 'ROSWELL FOOTAGE' RELEASE
About a year and a half ago, on 5th May 1995, the London-based film producer Ray Santilli for the first time presented his alleged alien autopsy footage to an audience of invited media representatives and UFO researchers at the London Museum. Even before that date, a very emotional debate had already started. Angry ufologists had challenged Santilli to shut up or work together with them, while others had claimed from the very beginning that the film is a hoax just because it doesn't fit into their concept of what happened in New Mexico in the summer of 1947.
Santilli's marketing policy, his commercial exploitation of the film, his ignorance in the UFO field and his violation of all the unwritten protocols of the UFO community didn't find many friends among ufologists, and quite soon many screamed "Hoax!" without being able to prove anything. One researcher even concluded, "There is no [16 mm] film and no cameraman", after quoting page after page of all the rumours, second- and third-hand information and inconsistencies among Santilli's claims (or alleged claims), to prove that he was right from the very beginning when he suspected a scam, because the being on the autopsy table looked "too humanoid to be an extraterrestrial", yet ignoring that this is exactly how most eyewitnesses describe crashed ufonauts.1
Unfortunately, those who searched for the truth, wherever it might be, were few in number. Willing to listen to Santilli first, before they judged and checked out the information they could get before asking for more, were mainly Philip Mantle (UK), Bob Shell (USA) and Michael Hesemann (Germany)-the International Research Team (IRT)-joined by Maurizio Baiata and Roberto Pinotti (Italy), Johannes Baron of Buttlar (Germany), Odd-Gunnar Roed (Norway), Hanspeter Wachter (Switzerland), Col. Colman VonKeviczky, Dr Bruce Maccabee, Joe Stefula, Lt. Col. W. C. Stevens, Ted Loman, Robert Morning Sky, Llewellyan Wykel and Dennis Murphy (USA), and others.
Let me point out that we found Ray Santilli always very friendly, helpful and cooperative although sometimes limited in his actions by agreements with his business partners and the cameraman. I wonder if any 'major international media corporation' would ever have been even nearly as open to any reasonable research approach as Mr Santilli indeed was. The following is a summary of results from the IRT's first year of investigation.
THE CAMERAMAN
Yes, there is a cameraman. We located people, besides Santilli, who had spoken to him over the phone: Gary Shoefield of Polygram, Philip Mantle, John Purdie of Channel Four (UK) and the secretary of David Roehring of Fox Network, USA. He is American, an old man, and lives in Florida. He was in hospital when Gary Shoefield wanted to meet him, and was coughing when Philip Mantle had him on the phone. According to his story he had polio as a child.2 Polio victims at that time mostly walked with a limp. He could not have had a bad hand, otherwise he could not have worked as a cameraman, but maybe he had a bad leg. The movement of the cameraman in the film indicates this, since he doesn't move smoothly. Bob Shell enquired among senior US military cameramen if they could remember a colleague from the 1940s with a bad leg. They knew one. His name is Jack "X", and he is exactly the age claimed for the Santilli cameraman: eighty-six.3
The cameraman is not Jack Barnett-a name used originally by Santilli to protect the identity of the true cameraman. Jack Barnett worked for Universal News, filmed Elvis Presley at a high-school concert in 1955 and died in 1969. Jack X did not work for Universal, but filmed Elvis at another concert, an open-air one, when the Universal cameramen were on strike.4 The cameraman agreed to be interviewed by a major US TV network.5
In April 1996 Bob Shell was contacted by the US Air Force following an enquiry from President Clinton's scientific adviser, Dr John Gibbons. The USAF Captain told Shell that they had located footage from the same stock in their archives and verified that at least part of the Santilli material is genuine, and shows no dummy and no human. They knew the cameraman's name-Jack X-but asked Shell to forward an address, since the military records building in St Louis had had a fire and many records had been lost. A search would be time-consuming and expensive.6
When we asked for details about the crash site, we became convinced that the cameraman indeed has an excellent knowledge of the area in question. With Ray Santilli as the intermediary-and Santilli did not know anything about the area in question and insisted on calling Socorro "Sorocco"-he even described a ruined bridge that we could locate only on our third visit to the area. He knew exactly what he was talking about.
Although some have criticised the cameraman's technique in the autopsy film, other military cameraman think this is exactly the way they, too, would have filmed it.
"The cameraman keeps moving to get out of the way of the surgeon and keeps trying to get the best perspective. The job of an army cameraman is to record a procedure on film, not to deliver beautiful pictures. And that, here, is an adequate filmic protocol," said Dr Roderick Ryan, US Navy cameraman during the '40s and '50s who filmed many secret government projects including the atomic tests on Bikini Atoll.7
"Among these circumstances, no one could have made a better job...he was not only a well-educated and experienced movie man, but, additionally, in full knowledge of editing and production of documentaries. Evidence: filming the autopsy activities from various view angles," said Col. Colman VonKeviczky, who studied at the UFA Film Academy in Berlin Babelsberg, was head of the audiovisual division of the Royal Hungarian General Staff, cameraman and director of the 3rd US Army at Heidelberg and member of the audiovisual department of the United Nations in New York.8
THE FILM STOCK
Careful study of stills made from the original film and high-quality Betacam copies confirmed that the film was indeed shot on 16-mm material. The camera handling seen on the autopsy film indicates the use of a small, lightweight camera with fixed lenses (therefore, the out-of-focus close-ups), like the 16-mm Bell & Howell Filmo Camera used by US military cameramen in the '40s-the camera the cameraman claims he used.9
Leaders of 16 mm film were sent to Kodak Hollywood, London and Copenhagen and turned out to bear the symbols (a square and a triangle) used by Kodak either in 1947 or in 1967.10
Two segments with three frames each, one clearly showing the autopsy room, were given to Bob Shell, editor of Shutterbug magazine and also a phototechnical consultant for the FBI and the US courts. After a careful physical analysis, Shell confirmed the segments to be pre-1956 16-mm film. In 1956 Kodak changed its film-base from acetate-propionate to triacetate, and the samples were clearly on acetate-propionate film. The film type was Super XX-Panchromatic Safety Film, a high-speed film used for indoor filming but which had a life-span of no more than two years, when cosmic radiation would cause a 'fogging' of the material. Shell is sure the film was exposed and developed within two years. This, at least, dates the film as pre-1958.11
THE EQUIPMENT & OBJECTS IN THE AUTOPSY ROOM
Everything in the film dates to the time in question. The telephone is an AT& model from 1946,12 and spiral cables had been optional since 1938 and standard for US Army telephones.13 The wall clock is a model on the market since 1938,14 and the microphone is a 1946 Sheer Bros mike.15 The table with the instruments was standard equipment for a pathologist, as confirmed by Prof. Cyril Wecht, ex-President of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.16 The bone hammer was not unusual; nor was the Bunsen burner which, in autopsies, served the purpose of burning away body fat.
THE BODY
The corpse on the autopsy table has been the subject of many disputes as to whether it is a dummy, a girl with a genetic disorder or, indeed, an alien. Nearly all special effects (FX) experts concluded that it is certainly possible to fake footage of a realistic-looking autopsy. There have been many concerns about 'snuff' movies and the origin of the corpses used in them. South America had been named as a possible origin, but reports from there have indicated the use of very realistic dummies. However, no one has found any evidence of special effects being used in this autopsy film-although today, unquestionably, nearly everything can be faked with the latest state-of-the-art FX techniques.17
On the other hand, pathologists and physicians from all over the world who saw the film were pretty sure the body was not a dummy, but actually a corpse-human or humanoid.
It is indisputable that some of the characteristics of different genetic disorders can be found in the being on the autopsy table-mostly disorders such as Turner's syndrome or progeria, combined with polydactylism (which is not a typical element of Turner's syndrome, although possible in combination with it) and other anomalies. This prompted a German dermatologist, Dr T. Jansen of the Policlinic of the University of Munich, to publish a study in a medical journal, trying to prove that the body is that of a girl who died from a rare form of progeria.18 On the other hand, he forgot to explain why there could be two girls with identical symptoms including polydactylism, when progeria is so rare that there are only 20 cases worldwide. Unfortunately, the only case of Turner's syndrome twins, although obviously documented on film, was never published in the medical literature.
Indeed, Dr Jansen's 'findings' do not explain the extreme precautions taken when the autopsy was performed, i.e., why would the team have worn bio-hazard protection suits if the body had a genetic disorder, and why would the being have been fitted with black eye-lenses? Although Dr Jansen diagnosed a stroke (common for progeria patients) as the cause of death, this does not explain the damaged right leg, the broken and swollen left leg, the cut-off right hand and a bruise at the left temple with a possible bullet wound. Should we assume that our creature broke its legs, cut its right hand and shot a bullet in its head before it died from a stroke?
More than that, Jansen's explanation for the missing navel couldn't convince us, either. To quote Dr Jansen, "It's like if you put up an umbrella: the unevenness disappears."19
On the other hand, quite a number of pathologists concluded that the being was not human at all, since its inner organs were like nothing they had ever seen:
Prof. Christopher Milroy, Home Office Pathologist, University of Sheffield, UK: "Although a close-up of the brain was shown, it was again out of focus. However, the appearance was not that of a human brain."20
Prof. Mihatsch, University of Basle, Switzerland: "As for the organs removed, they could not be tallied with any human organs."21
Prof. Cyril Wecht, Ex-President, American Academy of Forensic Sciences, USA: "I can't place these structures in an abdominal context... I find it difficult to bring in any connection with the human body as I know it. The structure that must be the brain, if it were a human being, does not look like a brain...it does not seem to be a human being."22
Dr Carsten Nygren, Oslo, Norway: "This is not a human brain. It is...much too dark."23
Prof. Pierluigi Baima Bollone, University of Turin, Italy: "When we look at the inner organs of the body we find no single organ that in any way resembles any human organ. The main organ, which could be the liver, has neither the shape nor the location of a human liver. The face of the alleged extraterrestrial shows surprising anatomical features: very big ocular orbits, a very flat nasal pyramid, a mouth somehow wide open...nevertheless, the face is flat, there is no evidence of facial musculature which is present in human beings and is responsible for the large variety of facial expressions of the human species... My overall impression is that we are dealing with a creature that seems to belong to our species but is so clearly different from us that it seems absurd to speculate about the similarity."24
There was not a single physician or pathologist who, after watching the full film, concluded it was a hoax or that the being on the table was a dummy. They all agreed the corpse was of a living, biological entity-human or not.
THE PATHOLOGISTS
According to the cameraman the autopsy was performed by "Dr Bronk" and "Dr Williams".
Prof. Dr Detlev Bronk (1897-1975) was no surprise, since his name already appeared in the controversial "Majestic 12" documents. He was Chairman of the National Research Council, America's leading biophysicist and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Army, Air Force and of the Atomic Energy Commission-certainly a person to whom the supervision of an autopsy of this relevance could have been entrusted. After his death, all his papers and documents were preserved at the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, of which he was President from 1953.25
Dr Bronk was a very methodical person, kept detailed diaries and all his correspondence, notes and dates. But when Bob Shell wanted to look through his papers and diaries for 1947, he learnt that, mysteriously enough, this is the only year for which all the records are missing. None of the friendly librarians could tell him what had happened to them or why they are still missing.26
Dr Williams might have been Dr Robert Parvin Williams (1891-1967), who was Special Assistant to the Surgeon General of the Army at Fort Monroe, Virginia. He was a Lt. Col. in 1947 and was promoted to Brig. General in 1949.27 Alone, the naming of Dr Williams-who was the right man in the right place for the task-indicates the cameraman had some inside knowledge.
[...]
According to the cameraman, four living aliens were found at the crash site. One did not survive the recovery operation, the second and third died about four weeks later, and the fourth survived until May 1949. We do not know anything about the autopsy of the first creature, and it might very well have been that it was subjected to a 'big' scientific autopsy.
The cameraman filmed the second and third autopsies on 1st and 3rd July 1947, when the main concern might have been to find out the cause of their sudden deaths in order to find a way to keep alien no. 4 alive-unless they could establish communication and find out why these visitors had come to Earth. This was surely of a higher interest for the national defence forces than a scientific study of an alien life-form. Nevertheless, we assume that organs were taken for further study during the dissection.
Furthermore, according to the cameraman, the fourth alien was autopsied scientifically in a medical theatre in Washington, DC, in the presence of leading scientists from the US, England and France.34
ROSWELL OR SOCORRO?
Ray Santilli's claim that the film was "the Roswell footage" caused a lot of controversy, since none of the witnesses to the July 1947 UFO crash/retrieval event had confirmed either the bodies or the debris. Indeed, the corpses found in Roswell were smaller, more slender, and had four or five fingers, according to eyewitnesses.51 None ever mentioned six fingers. In any case, if the film were a fake, why did those responsible for it not care to read at least one of the many books on this subject or see the excellent TV mini-series, Roswell, by Paul Davies, as shown on Showtime?
The very first information I got from Santilli about the source of the film made me wonder if it actually had anything to do with Roswell at all. Ray already insisted on 5th May 1995 that the autopsies had been filmed on 1st and 2nd July 1947, and that the recovery had taken place "in the beginning of June"-one month too early for Roswell.
When I went to Roswell on 30th June 1995 to confront the eyewitnesses (including Robert Shirkey, Glenn Dennis and Frank Kaufmann) with the just-released stills from the film, I asked Santilli for details about the crash site. He could only tell me it was "about four-and-a-half hours away", "close to White Sands test site" and "an Apache reservation", and "at the northern shore of a small dry lake at the end of a small canyon". I asked him to call the cameraman to obtain more detailed instructions, which, indeed, he did. He said the crash site was "between Socorro" (Ray said "Sorocco") "and Magdalena".
By the end of July 1995, Santilli released the full story of the cameraman who confirmed he had learnt of the crash on 1st June 1947-which dates the event back to the late hours of 31st May 1947. Date, location and everything we see on the film didn't fit with Roswell. Conclusion: it was a different event.
The fact that the cameraman had been flown into Roswell and brought to the crash site by car, caused him to believe he'd been involved in "the Roswell incident" that he'd heard about-and Santilli believed him.
CONCLUSION
While nobody has been able to present any proof that the Santilli autopsy footage was faked, we have some convincing indications that the film might very well be genuine. If it is a hoax, it is definitely the most ingenious fake of the century.
Instead of continuing the polemic of the last year or so, serious UFO researchers should continue to evaluate the evidence and search for the truth, in what might turn out to be the most provocative proof yet that we are not alone in the Universe.

The extraterrestrial Messages of Nikola Tesla
The extraterrestrial Messages of Nikola Tesla
Tesla believed he received alien messages at the end of the nineteenth century
It is not a secret that there are numerous inventions of Tesla that have been attributed to other “inventors”, among these inventions are the radio and the first machine capable of searching for extraterrestrial life. The FBI seized documents including numerous inventions that were way ahead of Teslas time, possible secret technology, including a version of its famous wireless transmitter that could send radio waves focused to distant points of the solar system.
While Tesla’s genius is indisputable, some people question whether his mind became delusional at some option. What is true is that Tesla was interested, throughout his life, in developing technology to contact extraterrestrial intelligence and believed that, at least in one occasion, he had detected an alien signal.
Since 1896, Tesla believed that a version of his famous wireless transmitter could be used to contact intelligent beings on other planets. In the summer of 1899, while working in his laboratory in Colorado Springs, Tesla believed to have observed a series of numerical codes in cosmic radio signals, which he interpreted as a sign of intelligence that originated from pants inside our solar system. But is it possible that Tesla did in fact receive an extraterrestrial message? If so where did it come from?
Tesla was asked by the Red Cross to predict man’s greatest possible achievement over the next century. The letter below was his reply.
A much-needed transcript follows.

A letter written by Nikola Tesla
Transcript
To the American Red Cross, New York City.
The retrospect is glorious, the prospect is inspiring: Much might be said of both. But one idea dominates my mind. This — my best, my dearest — is for your noble cause.
I have observed electrical actions, which have appeared inexplicable. Faint and uncertain though they were, they have given me a deep conviction and foreknowledge, that ere long all human beings on this globe, as one, will turn their eyes to the firmament above, with feelings of love and reverence, thrilled by the glad news: “Brethren! We have a message from another world, unknown and remote. It reads: one… two… three…”
Christmas 1900
Nikola Tesla
Curiously, Tesla wasn’t the only one who believed he received messages from otherworldly beings. Marconi, referred to by history as the inventor of the radio, even thought Tesla patented it a couple of years sooner than Marconi, also received “messages” from other planets, but Marconi’s messages were dismissed as a simple interference. Tesla’s case was more complex.
In 1937, Nikola Tesla said: n 1937, he announced:”I have devoted much of my time during the year past to the perfecting of a new small and compact apparatus by which energy in considerable amounts can now be flashed through interstellar space to any distance without the slightest dispersion.” (New York Times, Sunday, 11 July 1937.)
Interestingly, In the 1970’s L.G. Lawrence (field manager of the Ecola Institute) revealed a communication with Extraterrestrial Beings:
“On October 29, 1971… while conducting exploratory RBS [Remote Biological Sensing] experiments in Riverside County, CA, our field instrumentation’s organic transducer complex intercepted a train of apparently intelligent communication signals (tight spacing and discrete pulse intervals) while accidentally allowed to remain pointed at the constellation Ursa Major during a short rest period. The phenomenon prevailed for somewhat over 33 minutes….
“A somewhat similar phenomenon was observed on April 10, 1972…. The apparent signals, aside from seemingly growing weaker, appear to be transmitted at great intervals ranging from weeks to months, possibly years. A faint, coherent , binary-type phenomenon was noted during aural monitoring…. Intervals between rapid series of pulse trains ranged from… 3 to 10 minutes….
Secrets of the Universe
In the 1980’s engineer Greg Hodowanec was able to confirm some of Tesla’s claims based on his own theory of Rhysmonic Cosmology while experimenting with a Gravity Wave Detector (GWD) of his own design. By 1988, Hodowanec stated that “…Such signals are being received today with simple modern-day scalar-type signal detectors… coherent modulations are being ‘heard’ in [the microwave] background radiation. The most prominent modulations being three pulses (code S) slightly separated in time, a la Tesla! On occasions, the code equivalents of an E, N, A, or K, are also heard, but the most persistent response is SE, SE, etc.

“Any l/f type noise detector will respond to this background modulation. However, the experimenter must be careful that he is not creating these responses at the ‘local’ level by his own or other local actions. For example, the detectors will also respond to heart beats, breathing actions, local movements, as well as possible psychic effects. The detectors are easy to make and the experimenter should easily reproduce these results.”

State Scientific and Technical Research Institute.

Images of giant flying saucers have been popping up all over the Internet recently, originating from different countries around the world. But before you grab your aluminum foil hat, check out what Phil Poling of Parabreakdown has to say in this brand new video about these mystery UFO photos.
In the daily hubbub of current “crises” facing humanity, we forget about the many generations we hope are yet to come. Not those who will live 200 years from now, but 1,000 or 10,000 years from now. I use the word “hope” because we face risks, called existential risks, that threaten to wipe out humanity. These risks are not just for big disasters, but for the disasters that could end history.
Not everyone has ignored the long future though. Mystics like Nostradamus have regularly tried to calculate the end of the world. HG Wells tried to develop a science of forecasting and famously depicted the far future of humanity in his book The Time Machine. Other writers built other long-term futures to warn, amuse or speculate.
But had these pioneers or futurologists not thought about humanity’s future, it would not have changed the outcome. There wasn’t much that human beings in their place could have done to save us from an existential crisis or even cause one.
We are in a more privileged position today. Human activity has been steadily shaping the future of our planet. And even though we are far from controlling natural disasters, we are developing technologies that may help mitigate, or at least, deal with them.
Future imperfect
Yet, these risks remain understudied. There is a sense of powerlessness and fatalism about them. People have been talking apocalypses for millennia, but few have tried to prevent them. Humans are also bad at doing anything about problems that have not occurred yet (partially because of the availability heuristic – the tendency to overestimate the probability of events we know examples of, and underestimate events we cannot readily recall).
If humanity becomes extinct, at the very least the loss is equivalent to the loss of all living individuals and the frustration of their goals. But the loss would probably be far greater than that. Human extinction means the loss of meaning generated by past generations, the lives of all future generations (and there could be an astronomical number of future lives) and all the value they might have been able to create. If consciousness or intelligence are lost, it might mean that value itself becomes absent from the universe. This is a huge moral reason to work hard to prevent existential threats from becoming reality. And we must not fail even once in this pursuit.
With that in mind, I have selected what I consider the five biggest threats to humanity’s existence. But there are caveats that must be kept in mind, for this list is not final.
Over the past century we have discovered or created new existential risks – supervolcanoes were discovered in the early 1970s, and before the Manhattan project nuclear war was impossible – so we should expect others to appear. Also, some risks that look serious today might disappear as we learn more. The probabilities also change over time – sometimes because we are concerned about the risks and fix them.
Finally, just because something is possible and potentially hazardous, doesn’t mean it is worth worrying about. There are some risks we cannot do anything at all about, such as gamma ray bursts that result from the explosions of galaxies. But if we learn we can do something, the priorities change. For instance, with sanitation, vaccines and antibiotics, pestilence went from an act of God to bad public health.
1. Nuclear war
While only two nuclear weapons have been used in war so far – at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War II – and nuclear stockpiles are down from their the peak they reached in the Cold War, it is a mistake to think that nuclear war is impossible. In fact, it might not be improbable.
The Cuban Missile crisis was very close to turning nuclear. If we assume one such event every 69 years and a one in threechance that it might go all the way to being nuclear war, the chance of such a catastrophe increases to about one in 200 per year.
Worse still, the Cuban Missile crisis was only the most well-known case. The history of Soviet-US nuclear deterrence is full of close calls and dangerous mistakes. The actual probability has changed depending on international tensions, but it seems implausible that the chances would be much lower than one in 1000 per year.
A full-scale nuclear war between major powers would kill hundreds of millions of people directly or through the near aftermath – an unimaginable disaster. But that is not enough to make it an existential risk.
Similarly the hazards of fallout are often exaggerated – potentially deadly locally, but globally a relatively limited problem. Cobalt bombs were proposed as a hypothetical doomsday weapon that would kill everybody with fallout, but are in practice hard and expensive to build. And they are physically just barely possible.
The real threat is nuclear winter – that is, soot lofted into the stratosphere causing a multi-year cooling and drying of the world. Modern climate simulations show that it could preclude agriculture across much of the world for years. If this scenario occurs billions would starve, leaving only scattered survivors that might be picked off by other threats such as disease. The main uncertainty is how the soot would behave: depending on the kind of soot the outcomes may be very different, and we currently have no good ways of estimating this.
2. Bioengineered pandemic
Natural pandemics have killed more people than wars. However, natural pandemics are unlikely to be existential threats: there are usually some people resistant to the pathogen, and the offspring of survivors would be more resistant. Evolution also does not favor parasites that wipe out their hosts, which is why syphilis went from a virulent killer to a chronic disease as it spread in Europe.
Unfortunately we can now make diseases nastier. One of the more famous examples is how the introduction of an extra gene in mousepox – the mouse version of smallpox – made it far more lethal and able to infect vaccinated individuals. Recent work on bird flu has demonstrated that the contagiousness of a disease can be deliberately boosted.
Software-based intelligence may very quickly go from below human to frighteningly powerful. The reason is that it may scale in different ways from biological intelligence: it can run faster on faster computers, parts can be distributed on more computers, different versions tested and updated on the fly, new algorithms incorporated that give a jump in performance.
It has been proposed that an “intelligence explosion” is possible when software becomes good enough at making better software. Should such a jump occur there would be a large difference in potential power between the smart system (or the people telling it what to do) and the rest of the world. This has clear potential for disaster if the goals are badly set.
The unusual thing about superintelligence is that we do not know if rapid and powerful intelligence explosions are possible: maybe our current civilisation as a whole is improving itself at the fastest possible rate. But there are good reasons to think that some technologies may speed things up far faster than current societies can handle. Similarly we do not have a good grip on just how dangerous different forms of superintelligence would be, or what mitigation strategies would actually work. It is very hard to reason about future technology we do not yet have, or intelligences greater than ourselves. Of the risks on this list, this is the one most likely to either be massive or just a mirage.
This is a surprisingly under-researched area. Even in the 50s and 60s when people were extremely confident that superintelligence could be achieved “within a generation”, they did not look much into safety issues. Maybe they did not take their predictions seriously, but more likely is that they just saw it as a remote future problem.
4. Nanotechnology
Nanotechnology is the control over matter with atomic or molecular precision. That is in itself not dangerous – instead, it would be very good news for most applications. The problem is that, like biotechnology, increasing power also increases the potential for abuses that are hard to defend against.
The big problem is not the infamous “grey goo” of self-replicating nanomachines eating everything. That would require clever design for this very purpose. It is tough to make a machine replicate: biology is much better at it, by default. Maybe some maniac would eventually succeed, but there are plenty of more low-hanging fruits on the destructive technology tree.
The most obvious risk is that atomically precise manufacturing looks ideal for rapid, cheap manufacturing of things like weapons. In a world where any government could “print” large amounts of autonomous or semi-autonomous weapons (including facilities to make even more) arms races could become very fast – and hence unstable, since doing a first strike before the enemy gets a too large advantage might be tempting.
Weapons can also be small, precision things: a “smart poison” that acts like a nerve gas but seeks out victims, or ubiquitous “gnatbot” surveillance systems for keeping populations obedient seems entirely possible. Also, there might be ways of getting nuclear proliferation and climate engineering into the hands of anybody who wants it.
We cannot judge the likelihood of existential risk from future nanotechnology, but it looks like it could be potentially disruptive just because it can give us whatever we wish for.
5. Unknown unknowns
The most unsettling possibility is that there is something out there that is very deadly, and we have no clue about it.
The silence in the sky might be evidence for this. Is the absence of aliens due to that life or intelligence is extremely rare, or that intelligent life tends to get wiped out? If there is a future Great Filter, it must have been noticed by other civilisations too, and even that didn’t help. Whatever the threat is, it would have to be something that is nearly unavoidable even when you know it is there, no matter who and what you are. We do not know about any such threats (none of the others on this list work like this), but they might exist.
Note that just because something is unknown it doesn’t mean we cannot reason about it. In a remarkable paper Max Tegmark and Nick Bostrom show that a certain set of risks must be less than one chance in a billion per year, based on the relative age of Earth.
You might wonder why climate change or meteor impacts have been left off this list. Climate change, no matter how scary, is unlikely to make the entire planet uninhabitable (but it could compound other threats if our defences to it break down). Meteors could certainly wipe us out, but we would have to be very unlucky. The average mammalian species survives for about a million years. Hence, the background natural extinction rate is roughly one in a million per year. This is much lower than the nuclear-war risk, which after 70 years is still the biggest threat to our continued existence.
The availability heuristic makes us overestimate risks that are often in the media, and discount unprecedented risks. If we want to be around in a million years we need to correct that.
Per “Ancient Aliens” on the History Channel, we have a superb reasoning as to how our symbols and numerology came to be in these United States and elsewhere for that matter. I will use some of the information given in “Ancient Aliens” here to prove this.

Maar, wacht even.

Date of sighting: October 30, 2015 Location of sighting: Mount Etna, Sicily, Italy
Here is a fantastic heat vision video by UFOvni2012 of Youtube. It shows a UFO entering the volcano in Italy. Volcanos were once the most inaccessible areas for humans, so aliens chose this area for their entrance/exits, but only some volcanos are used this way. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com News states: Extremely bright green object photographically seen above peak of Mount Etna in Sicily for about 15 minutes. Sicily, Catania Italy, October 30, 2015 - Halloween I am all Internet days for seismic events that occur in the Mediterranean region, today (30 October 2015), I noticed in the INGV (Italian National Geology and Volcanology) these images ranging from 6:42 at 6:54 pm local where green cone forms a bright object appears clearly. Then at 7:00 pm, later the object was not seen for a while. The area where the object is seen is the peak of the volcano several vents and considerable morphological change, it rose in recent years.
Keeping an eye on NASA is something I find important. A scientific organization that hides alien evidence rather than reports it can not be trusted. I was watching the space station live cam when I noticed the camera switch to a new camera. Then the camera began to swing to the left until it focused on a white oval between it and Earth. The object had matched its speed with the space station. The camera then continued to zoom closer and closer, but all we could see was a glowing white oval. The vibrate light from the UFO was so powerful that even NASAs new seven million dollar HD cameras could not focus on it. Foo fighter checking out the space station? Now I will message @NASA and @NASA_Astronauts to see if they can tell us about this UFO. Cross your fingers. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com
Alien Hunters Claim: UFOs Are Hounding International Space Station on an Almost Daily Basis
Alien Hunters Claim: UFOs Are Hounding International Space Station on an Almost Daily Basis
Do aliens genuinely exist? If so, why is it that there is no physical evidence? What are the odds of other planets harboring life? For decades, humanity has been asking questions about the existence of terrestrial beings. It is not until the advent of present day technology and flight that we have started to label these odd sightings as Unidentified Flying Objects.
Last month, there were five strange UFO sightings reported on the ISS cameras. Several videos were being taken from NASA live cameras on the ISS. The cameras in orbit are 250 miles above the earth, containing strange Unidentified Flying Objects posted on both YouTube and paranormal websites. The frequency of strange objects on the cameras houses six astronauts and is currently increasing, according to the conspiracist, speculating they may be proof of “secret tests” undertaken by NASA. It was on October 1 that the latest object being filmed, and it clearly shows a glowing object that is moving towards the space station, underneath the orbit. Scott C Waring, the Alien conspiracist editor of a prominent website regarding odd objects, speculated that the object could either be a UFO or a top secret project in which NASAis a part.
According to Jessie Carter, the slow movement is baffling to him. He asked people regarding their thoughts about the craft. As with Jessie Carter, he is on site to research. Then, he experienced similar situations of what is in the video in Illinois at 8.15 pm. If you happen to be a star gazer, you will notice that it was a clear sky with stars out. Another video posted on YouTube on September 17 that show a glowing object, this time, the object travels alongside the ISS. Just three days another person, uploaded a video of an orb object, which the ISS appeared to pass beneath. The daily success sightings warrant the conclusion that strange orb UFOs are being seen every day. In fact, it has already become the tourist attraction of aliens.
Night Shift Nurses and the Flying Saucer Men - part I
Night Shift Nurses and the Flying Saucer Men - part I
What sounds like a saucy, cinematic romp that would likely have played in some dingy theater on New York’s 42nd Street in the 1970s, is actually one of the strangest and most fascinating events in the long history of UFO research. The event in question, which would soon become a full blown phenomenon, began in the wee hours of New Year’s Day, 1970, and involved a group of Canadian nurses who would bear witness to a peculiar craft and a pair of bizarre beings that would forever alter the course of their lives.
At 11:59 pm. on New Year’s Eve, 1969, while the rest of British Columbia was engaged in celebrating the arrival of the new decade with hugs and kisses and copious amounts of champagne, a night shift nurse by the name of Doreen Kendall was punching in at Cowichan District Hospital on Vancouver Island for the midnight to eight swing.
There can be little doubt that following her tedious 26-mile commute from her home in Nanaimo, that she regretted having to miss all the festivities, but as she shucked her coat and resigned herself to the performance of her duties, Kendall had no way of knowing just how much excitement was in store for her and her co-workers occupying the second floor of the CDH’s East Wing.

The dedicated practical nurse diligently made her rounds in the extended care unit for elderly patients with a registered nurse named Frieda Wilson, when, at approximately five in the morning, she noticed that one of her geriatric patients was stirring restlessly.
Assuming that her aged patient was simply too warm, Kendall pulled back the heavy drapes in the four bed room in order to allow a breeze into the ward. At the same time her supervisor attended to the patient on the other side of the privacy curtain near the doorway.
As soon as the nurse parted the drapes she was suddenly startled by a dazzling light, but once her eyes adjusted to the shine she spied something that would eternally adjust her perception of reality. Kendall described what she saw illuminating the hospital that early morn:
“Just as I pulled the drapes a brilliant light hit me in the eyes. It was still dark outside, but about 60-feet away, right above the children’s ward to my left, there was this object so big and bright I could see everything clearly.”
Kendall would go on to describe the unusual hovering object itself, which she claimed was slightly above her and approximately the width of five or six windows in the nearby children’s ward. This speculative measurement would put the diameter of his “Saturn-shaped” disc at about 50-feet. Kendall gave a detailed description of the vehicle:
“The object was circular and had what I guess you would call a top and bottom. The bottom was silvery, like metal, and was shaped like a bowl. There was a string of bright lights around it like a necklace. The top was a dome made of something like glass. It was lit up from inside and I could see right into it.”
As if that weren’t bizarre enough, Kendall claimed that she could make out the shapes of two masculine, masked figures standing within the bubble atop the craft.
One of the “men” seemed to be positioned behind the other and appeared to be a little smaller than the closer one — although that might have been an issue of perspective. Both of these beings were, according to Kendall, facing to her right, looking away from the hospital. Kendall described the head gear clad, veiled, 6-foot tall humanoids in her own words:
“They looked like fine, tall, well-built men. They were dressed in tight-fitting suits of the same material that covered their heads but their hands were bare and I noticed how human they looked. Their flesh seemed just like ours.”
At this point Kendall observed that the odd craft was “tilting” toward her. As it leaned forward she spied two, knee-high, stool-like protrusions behind the entities and she also noticed what she described as an “instrument panel,” which looked as if it were made from a chrome-like metallic substance. The panel, which consumed almost half of the space inside the UFO and loomed up practically to the peak of the dome, was filled with small (presumably navigational) “circles” or dials of various sizes, all of which appeared to be illuminated from below.
Even more intriguingly, the larger being standing closest to the front of the transparent bubble seemed to have his attention consumed by the devices before him, forcing the nurse to speculate that they might be experiencing some kind of engine difficulty. Kendall would later ruminate that the reason she was so enthralled by this allegedly extraterrestrial technology was due to the fact that she came from a long line of racing-car aficionados and that she was always interested in automotive and other mechanical devices. According to Kendall:
“The man in front was staring at the panel as if something very important was going on, and I wondered if they might have had mechanical trouble. I even thought they might have landed on the roof of the hospital and then had trouble taking off… Maybe because I’m so mechanically minded, but I suspect they were having mechanical trouble and had stopped to make repairs.”
Interestingly, as this middle-aged nurse stood enthralled by this strange vessel floating before her, she would later claim that she had no sense of “fear” during her unusual encounter, only one of curiosity and calmness:
“I never felt so peaceful in all my life. I wish I could have talked to them… I was completely oblivious to anything else and felt no fear. In fact I would have loved to have gone for a ride and, if the men had spoken to me, I would have answered quite naturally.”
As if on cue — or perhaps by psychic connection — the smaller entity raised its head and slowly turned towards Kendall. Although his face was concealed, she felt as if this being were staring directly at her. Kendall described this harrowing interlude:
“He seemed to look right at me but I couldn’t see his face. It was covered by a darkish material that looked softer than the rest of his suit. I’m sure he saw me because then he touched the other man on the back… He was wearing a darkish fabric, similar to his uniform and headgear, which obscured his facial features.”
Once Kendall’s presence had been brought to the larger alien’s attention, he began engaging in what seemed to be evasive maneuvers. The entity reached down and grabbed what Kendall described as a “lever” with a ball on the top — which she would later compare to the “joy stick” of an airplane — that stuck out of the floor of the craft. Kendall described what she speculated to be the ufonauts effort to beat a hasty retreat:
“When he did this, the man in front reached down and took hold of something like a lever beside him. I’ll never forget how deliberately he did it. He pushed it back and forth and the saucer, or whatever you’d call it, started to circle slowly, still close to the building, in an anti-clockwise direction.”
Kendall was so captivated by what she was seeing that she momentarily forgot about Wilson, who was still standing behind her. She was also afraid that these evidently shy creatures might hasten their departure even more if she made so much as a sound. It was then that Kendall silently waved her superior over to catch a glimpse of this astonishing vehicle, and its’ ostensibly unearthly occupants, before they disappeared:
“Then when I did think of it, I guess I hesitated. I felt I mustn’t make a noise or do anything that would break the trend of what was happening… I was so taken with the flying saucer that I didn’t call anyone. I felt mummified and fascinated and stood there for about five minutes watching before I called another nurse, Mrs. Freda Wilson. When it started to pull away, I realized no one would believe me and I ran and called Mrs. Wilson to come and look. She asked ‘what on earth it that?’ and I said ‘It’s a flying saucer.’”
Wilson later described the same event from her perspective:
“I noticed Miss Kendall standing at the window and wondered what she was looking at. In fact, I was just going to see when she beckoned to me, and then I saw this great big light over the patio outside the children’s ward. I’d say it was quite a bit larger than a car. It looked circular in shape and the far side seemed to be higher than the side near us. It was moving around slowly and then it started to move away. I didn’t really see any top or bottom to it. It was all just tremendously bright.”
At this point Kendall and Wilson sprinted down to the Nurse’s Station to corral their fellow nurses. Two of their understandably skeptical cohorts — Mrs. Appleby and Mrs. Clarkson — quickly followed them back into the room. The quartet of nurses rushed to the window, but by this point the hovering vehicle had moved far enough away from the hospital so that the allegedly extraterrestrial pilots were no longer visible, but the abnormal, self-illuminated object was still in plain sight.
Wilson confirmed Kendall’s assertion that the UFO was over five window panes in length and added that she saw a “red light” at the base. All of the nurses agreed that the spinning ship was completely silent.
The nurses watched as the disc-shaped craft slowly drifted off on a southeasterly course, disappearing behind the grove of trees bordering the facility just as two additional nurses arrived, missing the entire show. At this point one of the nurses — whose identity is surprisingly difficult to discern considering how well documented this case is — raced down the corridor and into a lavatory on the other side of the building and watched as the UFO rotated five times, then shot off “like a streak,”
As mind boggling as it is to have so many medical professionals observe an estimated 50-foot flying saucer gyrating over a hospital, there are some UFO skeptics who have pondered as to why Wilson (who was the second witness on the scene) did not also see the humanoids in the craft, and whether or not this is indicative of some sort of disingenuousness in Kendall’s account.
This seems ludicrous considering that there were three additional witnesses who were present to confirm the reality of the flying saucer whizzing around the hospital. Kendall, however, dismissed the skeptics’ doubts as a simple matter of timing:
“I think Mrs. Wilson must have come just a bit too late. After the thing circled four or five times, it started going away, farther along by the roof of the children’s ward, and I couldn’t see inside it either.”
Other researchers have pointed out that in the vast amount of “in flight” flying saucer sightings a large percentage of them seem to indicate that stationary — or hovering — UFOS seem to emit considerably less light than those in flight. Kendall was the only one of the four eyewitnesses to see the object before it began its revolutions. So, if the aforementioned hypothesis is true, then the excess illumination given off by the spinning disc might have obscured the pilots by the time Wilson and the others got to the window. This, of course, is pure speculation.
The Monday following this strange sighting, Kendall claimed that the experience had left her with no anxiety at all, just the same placid feeling she had felt during the encounter. She was also unruffled by what she knew would be the inevitable scoffing that would come from local skeptics and claimed that this event had only cemented her previously held belief in the existence UFOs:
“The reason I was so terrifically interested was because I always believed there were unidentified flying objects, but now I am absolutely convinced.”
Wilson, however, did not share Kendall’s belief in UFOs nor her easy going demeanor in the face of these unknown visitors. When she saw the abnormal aircraft all that rippled through her was sense of alarm and fear. It’s interesting to note the different interpretations that these women had to the same event.
Some researchers have theorized that Kendall’s relaxed demeanor in the face of such a fantastic encounter was due to the fact that she was overcome by some kind of hypnotic “wave” emanating from the ship that gave her a mild euphoric buzz which she described as a “tingling” sensation. Others hypothesize that it was the inherently “peaceful manner” of the two, masked ufonauts, along with her willingness to accept that alien life forms from out of this world might exist, that dissipated the apprehension that many feel Kendall ought to have experienced.
Kendall, wanting there to be an official record of this incredible incident, decided to record it in the hospital’s working schedule. This is the entry she jotted down following the event:
“At 5 a.m. I saw a flying saucer as low as the third floor of the hospital when I pulled the curtains. There were two men or figures in the dome flying towards Victoria. The bottom of the saucer was brilliantly lit and also the dome — New Year’s morning.”
A later reconstruction of proceedings would reveal that Kendall — who admitted to having a poor sense of direction — was mistaken when she suggested that the UFO had flown toward Victoria in her memo.
This, according to researchers, implied that the flying saucer headed south, when later sightings would confirm that it actually traveled in a northeasterly direction. Although it might just as easily have changed direction when it disappeared from the nurses’ view.
Despite Kendall’s poor directional judgment, she knew what she had seen was real and in the weeks following this odd episode she found that she had been profoundly affected by her encounter with these allegedly alien beings. Kendall explained how her visiting brother and co-workers noticed a difference in her behavior in the days following the incident:
“For at least a week after that I didn’t feel quite like my usual self. I think that normally I am an outgoing sort of person, but now I felt very subdued and some of the other nurses said I seemed preoccupied.”
Soon after, Kendall regained her composure, and hospital routines were quickly reestablished, but this would not be the last run-in that the good citizens of the Vancouver Island region would have with allegedly alien beings that wintery day.
CONFIRMATION AND CONTEXT:
As if the word of four professional caregivers would not be substantial enough to warrant serious debate for this case as being one of the most significant close encounters of the 20th Century, there would be other, completely unrelated, eyewitnesses that would seem to corroborate the fact that there was an anomalous object soaring in the skies above Vancouver island on January 1, 1970.
Before we delve any deeper, I think it warrants noting that these events happened over 40-years ago, long before the genesis of the current information age in which we are all entrenched. While word-of-mouth remains one of the most effective means of communication, it is by no means the swiftest and in the days before cell phones and the world wide web, information moved at a snail’s pace when compared to today.
So, as surprising as it may seem to us citizens of the 21st Century, news of this astonishing UFO encounter did not “officially” break until the following week, when the story was published in the Cowichan Herald on January 7, 1970, under the title “Another Saucer Sighted This Time Within 60 feet.” Surely information in the form of rumor and hearsay spread like a virus in an airplane, but most folks in the area wouldn’t even have their first inkling of these events for days. This fact would seem to make the plethora of eyewitnesses who came forward over the course of that eerie New Year’s Day all the more credible.
THE TRUCKER, HIS WIFE AND THE UFO
The first set of eyewitnesses to come forward before the tale of the nurses and the ufonauts hit the presses was a truck driver and his wife who were driving home following a rowdy New Years Eve celebration.
The husband — whose name is evidently in the official report on this case, but not on the public record — admitted to having had a few drinks at the party, but insisted that the experience he and his wife had with the UFO left him “cold sober.” He also felt the incident was of such significance that he was willing to reveal his illegal driving condition to researchers, which would seem to indicate just how sincere his testimony was.
According to their account, the married couple was driving home at approximately 5:00 am., which means that — assuming that we’re dealing with the same potentially interstellar device — their sighting occurred either directly before or directly after the encounter reported by the Nurses of the CDH. The trucker insisted that he and his wife had seen a brilliant white light, which he described as being “as big as a house” hovering just above their home. The eyewitnesses further elaborated that the object was ovoid and emitted multiple shafts of light, which pointed downward, uniting into a single shaft.
The couple later claimed that this convex shape made the UFO look like a child’s spinning top. The pair stared at this anomalous object for just a few moments before it abruptly soared skyward and disappeared from view. While conceding to being slightly buzzed, he emphasized the veracity of his and his wife’s account:
“I may have had a few drinks, but I know perfectly well that had nothing to do with what I saw, and my wife saw it, too.”
THE SCHOOL CREW SPIES A FLYING HULA HOOP
At this point the chronology of events gets a bit garbled, but when rifling through the accounts, it seems that this next alleged sighting occurred later that same morning, when a grade school aide named Edith Beiling — along with another aide, two students, a teacher and the school secretary — claimed to have seen an unusual airborne object above the Alexander Elementary School, where they all worked.
The group first saw the silently spinning, apparently ring-shaped UFO through the window of the grammar School. According to Beiling:
“We saw it through a window from inside the school at first, then we rushed outside to get a better look. We were all pretty excited, and I think there was one who was even quite frightened. I felt like ringing the school bell but decided I had better not… The ring definitely looked as if it was made of some solid substance. It was like a very large heavy hula hoop and the material looked like thick rolled-up plastic. It seemed to change in size slightly, perhaps because it was moving up and down, and we didn’t have any real idea what size it was but I’d say a large plane could have fitted into it about fifteen times.”
While Beiling was convinced that the object was “hula hoop” shaped, she did concede that it was an overcast day and it was therefore difficult to discern with complete assuredness if the gray center of the ship was a dull metal or merely the clouds poking through.
Regardless of whether or not the craft was ring-shaped — which may have been an illusion caused by the speedily spinning craft — the eyewitnesses all agreed that they were looking at a solid object and not some kind of cloud formation.
The sighting lasted approximately 3-minutes before the object disappeared from view. The rest of that New Year’s Day would prove to be a less eventful… that is, until the sun went down. That would be when one of the most noteworthy sightings in this shocking UFO flap would occur.
THE DRUMMOND ENCOUNTER
Established in 1860, and located approximately 10-miles away from the CDH, the quaint village of Mill Bay is nestled on the southeast shore of Vancouver Island and would serve as the site of what many believe to be the second most significant — and, in many ways, most alarming — encounter in this wave of anomalous airborne objects.
A 22 year-old nautical pilot and shipwright by the name of Jim Drummond had used his boat building expertise to convert an aged tugboat into a comfortable home, which he shared with his 18 year-old bride Dianne and their son. The boat was moored to a jetty adjacent to the home of Jim’s mother, Bea Drummond, whose house rested right on the shoreline of Mill Bay.
Bea would be the first to bear witness to this extraordinary, floating object when, at about 7 pm., when she walked out her back door to call in her son and his family in for New Year’s dinner. She described the beginning of this unusual event, which would prove to be every bit as bizarre as the nurses’ encounter from earlier that day:
“It was about seven o’clock and Jim and Dianna were still on the boat, anchored close to shore, when I went outside to call them in to dinner. Then I noticed a light in the sky moving over the bay. I couldn’t tell how big it was, it was so bright, and it had a yellow-orangey glow like sunlight. I got so excited I yelled to my son to look.”
Jim heard his mother’s excited screams and looked skyward. His eyes immediately registered the uncharacteristic object and he wasted no time in retrieving both his telescope and his camera from within the cabin.
He would later tell investigators that in the course of his job as a ship’s pilot he was accustomed to calculating the bearings of far-off objects, which is why he had confidence in the estimations he made regarding the strange flying object that evening. According to Jim:
“I looked up and saw this light coming in from the north, just about in line with our boat. It was skimming right under the overcast, which was about 900-feet. I ran into the cabin and grabbed my telescope and camera, and my wife came out with me to look. We were really excited.”
Sadly — though just as likely accurately — Jim surmised that the unconventional vessel would just look like a smudge of light against a sea of blackness, so he set down his the camera and began scrutinizing the UFO through his telescope. Jim described what he saw that chilly eve:
“It was sort of egg-shaped, in a vertical position, but the top and bottom were indistinct. It seemed to be transparent on top, and inside it I thought I could see a set of lights but I couldn’t really make out any details.”
With the exception of the “necklace” of lights, Jim’s description seems uncannily similar to the nurses. Bea, the justifiably concerned matriarch of the family, frantically urged her son to get his family off the boat and into the relative safety of her house.
Hoping to facilitate their passage over the dark pier, she flicked on the flood light attached to the back porch, filling the yard with light. This would appear to illicit an unexpected response from the UFO.
Without warning, the radiant, amber-ish object plummeted nearly 300-feet and began hovering between the house and the tugboat — effectively cutting off the younger Drummonds’ passage to the shore — but before either party could react, an even more alarming (and, according to the laws of physics, seemingly impossible) incident transpired. In Jim’s own words:
“Just at that point something came out of that thing, which by then had slowed down almost to a stop. It was a ray of light like a very thin neon tube, and it was in pieces, something like the dots and dashes of morse code. It came down in a curve and then it flashed right out, all of it at the same time. My hair just stood up on end. I couldn’t imagine anything like it.”
Just when it must have seemed that things were going to go from bad to worse, the object suddenly shot back up to its previous altitude, then soared southward and out of sight. On shore, Bea tried to follow the UFOs trajectory by dashing around her home, but to no avail. According to her account:
“I ran out to the other side of my house but I couldn’t see over the trees. I tried to phone some of the neighbors but I couldn’t get through on the party line.”
Jim continued to watch the vehicle’s departure through his telescope, marveling at the curious structure. Later he would testify that he was positive that it was not a conventional aircraft due to its irregular shape and lack of colored navigational lights or any sound . According to Jim:
“It was brighter in the middle and I could see four distinct lights of the same color that looked like tips of candles only a bit bigger. I have never heard of anything that could maneuver that slow and fast without making some sort of noise.”
When the nurses’ account was printed in the Cowichan Leader the next week it was accompanied by a smaller article simply titled “Second Sighting.” Nevertheless, according to Bea’s daughter — and Jim’s sister — Fran Drummond, her mother was reticent to even speak of the event up until her death in 2007, for fear of being labeled as a “nut.”
Sadly, such is the curse that befalls far too many who bear witness to a fascinating, yet — at least by current scientific standards — unclassifiable event and have the courage to speak out about it. One can’t help but to wonder how many other potential witnesses to these (and similar) events remained tragically silent for just that very reason.

Night Shift Nurses and the Flying Saucer Men-part II
Night Shift Nurses and the Flying Saucer Men-part II
JUDGE HALLET AND SEES A GLOWING EGG
Judge George Hallett and his wife were entertaining three guests at a celebratory New Year’s dinner, which they were hosting at their Mill Bay home at the same time that the Drummonds were temporarily severed from Bea’s home by a glowing egg-shaped device. With their home being located directly behind Bea Drummond’s house, the Halletts and company were in a unique position to confirm their UFO account… and that’s exactly what they did.
According to Canadian private investigator, Leanne Jones, who reconstructed the case in 2008, the Halletts’ sighting directly followed the Drummonds’ run-in. The guests at the dinner party all claimed that they watched as a massive orange light passed leisurely along the water’s edge opposite the Halletts’ home. According to Judge Hallet:
“This was no ordinary aircraft, and it was no plastic-bag trick either. It was making no sound that we could detect, it was moving very slowly and it was enormous. I’m quite sure no one could play a trick with such a large apparatus without being spotted. We watched it for about five minutes until it seemed to disappear into the clouds.”
THE DEER LODGE SIGHTINGS
It would be easy to assume that after no less than five potentially harrowing encounters with members of the human race that these aliens would call it a day, but that was not to be the case.
Just moment following both the Hallett and Drummond sightings, the ubiquitous UFO made its presence known yet again on Mill Bay. This time the glowing object appeared to the attendees of yet another dinner party, which was being hosted by Arthur Gillam and his wife at the Deer Lodge restaurant just off the Island highway, south of Mill Bay.
While this sighting occurred at a greater distance than either the Drummonds’ or Halletts’ sightings, all of the observers in attendance agreed that they saw a colossal, glowing sphere cruising over the Saanich Peninsula, about 10-miles to the east. According to Arthur Gillam:
“All we could see was a large ball of light moving quite slowly, much slower than an airplane. It must have been very bright for us to see it from that distance. I don’t think a helicopter would have been that bright.”
While in and of itself this long distance sighting is nothing to get worked up about, taken in conjunction with the Drummonds’ frightening run-in and Judge Hallett and his cohorts observations, it serves to further cement the fact that there was a genuinely anomalous aircraft soaring over Mill Bay that New Year’s Day eve. And while there’s no proof that these events are even remotely related to the CDH incident of that morning, the circumstantial evidence seems too obvious to ignore.
PRELIMINARY SIGHTINGS:
There can be little doubt that January 1, 1970, was a seminal day in the history of North American UFO encounters, but — according to various eyewitness and newspaper reports — the residents of Vancouver Island had been plagued by strange nighttime visitors for years previous to the events in question.
THE MAYOR, THE DOE AND THE UFO
Perhaps the most auspicious eyewitness to these incidents was the then mayor of Duncan — the city within which the CDH is nestled — Jim Quaife. Quaife claimed that in late 1964, he was relaxing in his home when he heard what he described as a roaring turbine-like sound.
They mayor leapt to his feet, yanked back the curtain and looked out the window. What he saw would be something he would never forget. Quaife asserted that his entire backyard was bathed in brilliant white light, which emanated from an unknown source above. He later stated that his eye had been caught by a doe frozen like a proverbial “deer in headlights” in his orchard.
The Mayor wasted no time in grabbing his rifle and charging outside. The moment he stepped out his door the light disappeared, enabling him to see a large, non-aerodynamic craft, which soundlessly sped off at a tremendous rate of speed. This would not be Quaife’s final encounter with a bizarre, airborne visitor.
On January 13th, 1970, the Mayor arrived home after a city council meeting to find his neighbor staring skyward at a bulky, unknown craft that hovered above a nearby power plant pulsating with a purple radiance. Quaife rushed into the house to fetch his binoculars and his wife. The trio watched this strange pulsing object perform ostensibly impossible aerial maneuvers — including abrupt reversals of direction and dead stops — for at least 10-minutes, until the vessel soared off at breakneck speed toward Mt. Provost, then cut at a 90-degree angle and shot straight up.
According to the Mayor, the following day an article was published in the “Times Colonist” regarding an amateur astronomer and UFO buff by the name of Vernon Stanley-Jones, who had constructed his own observation tower on Richard’s Trail road in Duncan. Stanley-Jones not only claimed to have spied the UFO, but he also had a theory regarding its agenda… a theory which was shared by the Mayor himself.
BEEPERS AND THE ENERGY PIRATES
Vernon Stanley-Jones had erected his observation tower near his home on Vancouver Island, not far from CDH, where Nurse Kendall and her cohorts claimed to have seen the spinning saucer. He was fascinated by the mysteries of the cosmos and even more intrigued by the allegedly unearthly visitors that had made their presence so obvious in his hometown.
With that in mind, Stanley-Jones was exceedingly diligent in collecting evidence regarding the rash of UFO sightings taking place in the region, but it wouldn’t be until five days after the initial flap that he would have a close encounter of his own, though it was not the first time that he claimed to have seen a UFO.
The event in question occurred on Lakes Road on the evening of January 6, 1970, when he and his wife spied a massive, orange, disc-shaped object flying slowly over Lakes Road hill at approximately 11:00 pm. Stanley-Jones pulled over to the side of the road and killed his headlights, while he and his wife watched this amazing aircraft float between 500 and 1,000-feet of the ground for about 8-minutes.
At some point during this sighting, the couple — and other unnamed eyewitnesses — stated that the UFO emitted a series of “fireballs” as it made its way northward. While these witnesses described “fireballs,” one can’t help but to wonder if these fireballs might be a long distance interpretation of the strange Morse code-like series of illuminated dashes that Jim Drummond claimed to have seen through his telescope. Either way, Stanley-Jones — who described the craft as the biggest thing he’d ever seen — described their sighting:
“When it reached the bottom of the hill, it paused briefly and then turned right and flew over Duncan. When it was over the center of Duncan it stopped again and we watched it just hanging there for awhile and then it moved off due west more rapidly.”
As the vehicle sped out of sight, the couple raced to a nearby friend’s home and borrowed a pair of binoculars. Sadly they were only able to reacquire the oddly moving object for a few moments before it disappeared for good. Stanley-Jones then speculated if this might herald the return of a phenomenon that folks had dubbed the “beepers.”
He later explained to a local reporter, Sharon Currie, that two years previous individuals from the Cowichan region claimed to have heard weird, electronic “beeping sounds, but couldn’t see anything.” He also asserted that it similar sounds had been picked up on an 80-meter band by a ham radio operator, but offered no explanation of their origins. Stanley-Jones story, which was published on January 14, 1970, was titled “Local Witnesses Claim U.F.O.’s Eject Fireballs.” He is an excerpt from her “Fireballs” story:
“Fire-balls ejected from an UFO hovering over Maple Bay and Crofton area last week could mark the return of “the beepers.” Vern Stanley-Jones, President of the Cowichan-Chemainus UFO Club, advocated. Stanley-Jones considered an expert on UFOs for more than a decade, mooted such a possibility after he, his wife and several other people in the area witnessed a large bright, yellow-orange craft cruising over the area Tuesday January 6th 1970.”
As if enigmatic “beepers” were not enough, according to investigator Leanne Jones, the area where the couple saw the UFO on Lake Road was less than 2-miles from the giant power grid mentioned by Quaife in his account. Based on this correlation, both Stanley-Jones and the Mayor proposed that this luminescent craft was in all probability making “fuel stops” and “sucking up energy” from the grid.
Just about any UFO enthusiast is familiar with the hypothesis that extraterrestrials (or extra-dimensionals) are visiting Earth for the purpose of exploiting our raw materials, be they water, gold or electricity. Bearing that in mind, one can understand how Quaife and Stanley-Jones might have come to this conclusion. According to Quaife:
“Actually I didn’t talk with Vern until after I spotted his report about the event in the Times Colonist a day or so later. When I called and advised him that I thought the craft was over his neck of the woods he stated that he thought it was over Duncan. At this point I suggested that it was neither, it had to be somewhere in-between which would have placed it over or near, the AC/DC substation on the Island Highway, I then suggested that the craft may have been “refueling” by tapping into the energy field of the substation. Vernon immediately questioned why I thought they needed to draw on electric energy and I related the story of my first incident on Riverside Road a few years earlier, that I distinctly heard a “turbine like” sound. He then agreed, saying that they have to refuel somewhere, and maybe that is how and where!”
It’s a theory that Leanne Jones seems to support:
“Perhaps, ‘Sonoluminescence ’[the emission of short bursts of light from imploding bubbles in a liquid when excited by sound] is the true source of UFO propulsion. Perhaps, we have been too naïve to realized until now that ‘UFO Piracy,’ i.e. the theft of Earth’s energy resources, may be one of the major reasons for UFO activities around Earth, as well as, government secrecy and denial. The possibility that Alien Presence(s) may be leeching electrical and nuclear energy (as well as human DNA and animal biological material) may be one of the most closely guarded secrets of all the world’s governments.”
As intriguing (and potentially terrifying) as this theory is, in my opinion there simply isn’t enough supporting evidence in this case to warrant this conclusion, but who really knows?
ONE LAST HURRAH!
In February of 1970, about month after all of the hubbub seemed to have fizzled, a farmer by the name of John Vanderhoek reported to authorities that motorists were congregating in front of his property near Vancouver Island highway in order to catch a glimpse of a “red thing in the air.” Vanderhoek claimed that the object — which was white on the top and red on the bottom — was ascending and descending, all the while varying in intensity.
As Vanderhoek made the report on the phone he watched as the lights receded into the west, finally disappearing into the mountains. The farmer and the other observers swore that there was no wind that evening and they had no doubt that the object was intelligently controlled. UFO sightings have continued in the area sporadically since then, with a report being filed as recently as July 3, 2010.
PROJECT BLUE BOOK AND THE NOT QUITE MEN IN BLACK
In the days that followed the sighting Jim Drummond claimed that he was visited by a United States Air Force officer who hailed from Nevada. The military man claimed to be a representative of “Project Blue Book.” Project Blue Book was America’s only official investigative organization supposedly dedicated to uncovering the “truth” about the UFO mystery.
Intriguingly, Project Blue Book had been disbanded just weeks before in December of 1969, following the release of the notoriously slanted Condon Committee Report, which was the unofficial title of the University of Colorado UFO Project. This assemblage was funded by the USAF to study unidentified flying objects under the direction of physicist Edward Condon from 1966 to 1968.
What was supposed to be a reasonable assessment of the UFO phenomenon, was (according to many researchers and numerous inside reports — including a documented memo from one of the men in charge) nothing but a hack job with the preordained outcome of delegitimizing the entire field of study and thus reducing public panic — and therefore interest — in UFOs. Nevertheless, the media celebrated the results of this pseudo scientific report and, whether individual reporters realize it or not, western societies in general, and the press in particular, have based their ridicule of this genuine phenomenon on the presumed authenticity of the Condon Report — as well as other misleading campaigns inspired by the Robertson Panel — ever since… but I digress.
To this day there continues to be heated debate regarding the scientific integrity of the Project Blue Book; with many suggesting that it was a poorly staffed, incompetently led organization that existed as a catch all for “crackpots” who were haranguing the Air Force, and whose primary function, much like the Condon Report, was to debunk reports, be they “legitimate” or not.
Nevertheless, in the early days of 1970, members were still “unofficially” investigating accounts, which may well make the Vancouver Island incidents the last UFO reports to be examined by the team. That having been noted, there are some researchers who speculate that the military officer who questioned Jim Drummond was actually amongst the first wave of post-Blue Book investigators, who would continue the project’s work in a more confidential fashion.
There is also the very real possibility — according to Leanne Jones — that Jim Drummond’s “USAF military man” was using Project Blue Book as a cover for another, more clandestine, organization. Jones speculated that this mystery man was not CIA or NSA, but most likely a representative of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), which was instituting another UFO investigation project, under an as yet unknown code name. This seems reasonable considering the fact that there’s not a single government of Earth that does not take seriously the potential threat that might come from hyper-technological aircraft that can invade their airspace undetected and at will, whatever their intentions may be.
Regardless of the origins of this mysterious Air Force officer, I can find not reports of either Drummond or any other witnesses who claimed to have been followed, threatened or in any way harassed by prototypical MIB characters.
CONCLUSION:
So what to make of these incredible UFO sightings? There can be little debate that this is one of the most remarkable UFO/humanoid cases in modern history. First off, it offers up an amazing amount of corroborating evidence. Not only that, it also proffers some of the most outstanding eyewitnesses ever assembled — running the gamut from a cadre of health care professionals to a ship’s pilot to Educators and administrators to a judge to a mayor and many other respected citizens.
It’s an impressive array to say the least. In fact, if the aforementioned witnesses had claimed to observe some sort of crime rather than a UFO, then just about any jury would deliberate for mere moments before moving to convict. Even more telling is the fact that the folks involved in these cases have all stuck by their stories for over 40-years — or, at least, the duration of their lives — and none of them have made any overt efforts to exploit their experiences. Perhaps Jones put it most succinctly:
“A significant factor of this sighting is that none of the witnesses made any effort to publicize it, yet at the same time made no pretense of being secretive.”
In terms of Wilson and Kendall — who bore witness to what was arguably the most unbelievable element of the case, the humanoids — I believe that the investigators, who published the details of the case in the summer of 1970 edition of the Canadian UFO Report Vol. 1 No. 7, described their credentials as professional caregivers and as witnesses perfectly:
“Miss Doreen Kendall, a practical nurse, and Mrs. Frieda Wilson, a registered nurse, are employed together on the night shift in the extended-care ward for elderly patients at the Cowichan District Hospital at Duncan on Vancouver Island. Theirs is a position that requires a special degree of tact, maturity and gentleness of manner for it is at night that their patients, often unable to sleep, have long lonely hours in which to contemplate the little that remains for them in life. A word or gesture of comfort from the nurses on duty is all they have in their fading world until the routine of morning helps them into another day. It is immediately apparent on meeting them that Miss Kendall and Mrs. Wilson, both in late middle-age, were assigned to their particular work with these qualifications in mind. In addition to what training obviously has given them, they have an inborn quality that invites trust, and it was no surprise, after we interviewed them, that friends and former patients of each told us they would accept their word under any circumstance. Coming from several who had doubted the existence of UFOs, this was a significant tribute in light of what the two nurses (with partial confirmation by two others who arrived seconds later) said they observed outside the hospital just as 1970 was dawning on the Pacific Coast.”
As in many such media hyped flaps, there were a few hoaxers making false reports over the following months and even one case of a fake UFO being released by what many have chalked up to school kids, drunks or both. Jim Drummond actually saw this “copycat” UFO a few days after his initial sighting and had this to say about it:
“The second one wasn’t the same thing at all. You could see it was a kids’ job, not a fraction as bright, and it was just bobbing around without really going anywhere.”
Nevertheless, it should come as no surprise that professional “debunkers” have used this incident to dismiss the entire flap. Former UFO skeptic and eyewitness, Nurse Wilson, completely dismissed the idea that what she, Kendall and the other nurses saw was some kind of hoax:
”Some people say we were looking at a plastic bag with candles in it, put there as a joke. But it would take a million candles to make it as bright as that.”
Sadly many of the eyewitnesses involved with this case are no longer with us, but their accounts remain as a testament to one of the most enigmatic and intriguing close encounters of all time… and it’s worth noting that when the CDH redid the facade of the hospital following the 1970 sighting, they emblazoned it with a huge, circular, star-burst. While I’ll be the first to admit that it was likely nothing more than an aesthetic decision, part of me can’t help but wonder if someone is subtlety trying to entice these ostensibly alien visitors to return.

New Nazca Lines geoglyphs uncovered by gales and sandstorms in Peru
New Nazca Lines geoglyphs uncovered by gales and sandstorms in Peru
More shapes revealed among known geoglyphs like The Dog (pictured)
High winds and sandstorms in Peru have revealed previously undiscovered geoglyphs in the ancient Nazca Lines.
Eduardo Herrán Gómez de la Torre, a pilot and researcher, found the new shapes while flying over the desert last week, El Comercioreported.
He believes one of the geoglyphs depicts a snake 60 metres long and 4 metres wide, near the famous “hummingbird”.
A bird, camelids (possibly llamas) and a zig zag line are among the lines found etched into the ground on hills in the El Ingenio Valley and Pampas de Jumana.
Archaeologists are already trying to confirm whether they match the Paracas culture in the Ica region of Peru, which flourished from 800BC to 100BC and influenced complex textiles and ceramics at Nazca as well as the lines.
New lines are revealed by the strong winds in the Nazca
Ruben Garcia Sota, head of Ica’s archaeological authority, told El Comercio the latest discovery was “a valuable contribution to our knowledge of ancient Nazca”.
One archaeologist, Orefici Giuseppe Pecci, said the geoglyphs confirmed the close relationship between the ancient artworks and water.
The Nazca Lines cover an area of approximately 280 square miles and are believed to have been scratched into the ground over a thousand years between 500BC and 500AD.
UNESCO, which designated the area a World Heritage Site in 1994, describes the Nazca Lines as “a unique and magnificent artistic achievement that is unrivalled in its dimensions and diversity anywhere in the prehistoric world”.
Their quality, size and continuity put them among archaeology’s greatest enigmas and they are believed to have been used for astronomical rituals.
Animals, birds, insects, plants and imaginary beings are depicted as well as lines and geometric figures several kilometres long.
The largest creature is a 285 metre-long pelican and other famous geoglyphs include a spider, monkey and lizard.
One strange creature has two human hands, one with only four fingers, and everyday objects like looms are also seen.
