Mobile Stargazing: The Universe at Your Fingertips

In the past you would point at an object in the sky and ask "What star is that?" Today you can pull your phone from your pocket and find out.
Being out under the stars on a clear night can be "food for the soul," and it's been known to trigger a lifelong passion for astronomy in more than one impressionable youngster - myself included! But it can also leave you wondering what you're looking at. Is that bright object a star, or a planet, or even a satellite? Where does one constellation end, and the next one begin? And where can I find that comet that everyone’s been talking about? Is it even visible from where I live?
It's not always convenient to consult an astronomy book, or magazine star chart, in the dark, and not everyone has access to these aids. But nearly everyone has a mobile device these days, and there are plenty of apps available for sky watchers of all ages and knowledge levels. In this series of columns, we'll explore astronomy the 21st century way – with astronomy and space-related apps and gadgets.
Here, we'll explain how to navigate the sky and learn some prominent stars and constellations. We'll learn why different stars are visible at different times of the year. We'll cover how the planets move along the ecliptic (the plane of the solar system), and where to find it. We'll study the moon's motion across the sky, and why it occasionally eclipses a star – or the sun! We'll start off by helping you configure the app so you're ready for the next clear night. For telescope owners, astronomy apps can offer advice on what to observe, and what’s likely to be visible with your equipment, large or small. Many naked eye stars are actually double or multiple systems, often comprised of stars of different colors - and these can be enjoyed in a backyard telescope. Most of these multiple stars were named before the invention of the telescope, so they only bear a single name. Other stars vary in brightness on a repeating schedule that you can track yourself by observing how they vary compared to their neighbors in the eyepiece field of view. Advanced astronomy apps provide background information of the story behind the names, and the interesting science around the stars’ behavior.
Apps have opened up the universe to anyone with a mobile device, anywhere at anytime.
If you're a planet enthusiast, an astronomy app can tell you where the four Galilean moons of Jupiter are, and whether they are eclipsing one another, or casting their little round black shadows on the great planet's face. Jupiter rotates once every 10 hours or so, so your app is a great aid to determine when to look for the Great Red Spot. We'll explain how to configure and use the app to do all of these tasks.
Deep sky objects, nebulas, star clusters, and galaxies populate the night sky year round. While most galaxies are beyond the reach of backyard telescopes, several are easy to see with unaided eyes, if you know where to look. The Great Andromeda Galaxy, also known as Messier 31, is six full moon diameters across, and the light you're seeing now left there 2.5 million years ago! Messier 31 is one of a list of 110 famous deep sky objects first listed by French astronomer Charles Messier in 1771, many of which can be spotted without a telescope. We'll cover how to generate lists of these objects for your location and observing date, and use your app to find them.

Not all apps are created equal. While we won't play favorites, we will identify the simple ones for beginners, and highlight the ones with advanced features that budding astronomers and even teachers can use, indoors or out, to fully learn the science. When new apps are released or old favorites updated, we'll review them and highlight what's new.
From time to time, we'll explain the purpose for many of the features, like the red screen mode for night vision, the meridian and ecliptic reference lines, and the various coordinate grids that can be switched on. Some of the apps allow you to explore the universe by flying from place to place and seeing the sky from another star. Or view our solar system as seen from another planet.
Some of the apps even allow you to connect to a computerized telescope and drive it around the sky. We'll cover that, too.
Mobile devices have given a 21st century technology boost to even the simplest of stargazing aids.

This Mobile Stargazing column will go beyond stargazing. We'll look at the apps for various space telescope and planetary exploration missions, including apps that tell you how to see the International Space Station, or watch spacewalks on your phone. There are even apps to alert you when to head outside and look for auroras, also known as northern lights. We'll also see how stargazers use mobile devices as astronomy aids, from taking smartphone astrophotographs, to leveling your telescope tripod, to catching that perfectly composed photograph by predicting where the moon or other objects will be on a given day and time.
In the next column, we'll highlight how mobile devices and apps represent a fundamental shift, allowing us to make a connection with the sky that we just couldn't before. We'll highlight common features found on most astronomy apps and how to set them up for best results. Meteorite Hunters: How the Experts Can Tell If Rocks Are from Space

When news broke that a meteorite may have crash-landed in India last weekend, some experts thought it was odd that no one had seen a fiery space rock blaze across the sky.
That turned out to be the first of many clues suggesting that the unusual incident wasn't caused by a space rock, but likely by a land-based explosion — one that killed one person and injured three others, experts told Live Science.
"Initial assessments, based on photos posted online, are not consistent with something from space," NASA said in a statement emailed to Live Science. "Small meteorites do not start fires or cause explosions when they hit the ground." [See Photos of Meteorites Discovered Around the World]
The intense scrutiny paid to the Indian event isn't out of the ordinary. Typically, researchers rush to find meteorites the moment these extraterrestrial rocks hit Earth, said Geoff Notkin, president of Aerolite Meteorites, the world's largest meteorite company, and former host of the TV show "Meteorite Men," which aired from 2009 to 2012 on the Science Channel.
Notkin has chased Earth-bound meteorites for more than 20 years, and shared his tactics for tracking down the space rocks. But first, it's important to review the terminology: Small chunks of rock in space are called meteoroids. They're called meteors (shooting stars) when they fall through Earth's atmosphere, and they're known as meteorites if they touch down on land or in the water.
About 48.5 tons (44,000 kilograms) of meteoritic material falls on Earth daily, but it's usually the large, rare meteors and meteorites that make headlines (and craters), according to NASA.
Fireball in the sky
Large meteors often look like fireballs as they blast across the sky, much like the 2013 Chelyabinsk meteor explosion that rained meteorites across parts of Russia and Kazakhstan, Notkin said. Researchers can use Doppler radar — the same technology that meteorologists use to predict the weather — to follow the meteor and its debris as it breaks apart during its flight.
"If we can get Doppler data on the falling patterns, it can really narrow the search area," Notkin said.

Other than that, researchers rely on eyewitness accounts and video footage (if there is any) to track the meteor. Sometimes, meteorites tumble onto private land, and Notkin will ask landowners if he can look on their property. (If the meteorite is later sold after being studied, Notkin and the landowner will agree on how to split the profits, he said.) In the United States, a meteorite that falls on a landowner's property belongs to the landowner, but if a space rock falls on public land, it belongs to the Smithsonian Institution, Notkin said.
Once researchers find the landing site, they examine objects in the area. Chances are, it's a meteorite if it has "a thin, black rind" on its surface — one that formed when the rock was "superheated" as it raced through Earth's atmosphere, he said.
"When they make it to Earth, they look very much like charcoal briquettes," Notkin said.
Moreover, meteorites are rich in iron, so they stick to magnets, he said. But the longer a meteorite sits on Earth, the more it's exposed to oxygen, water, fertilizers and other contaminating elements.
"There's a real urgency to recover them and get them to the lab as quickly as possible," Notkin said. "These are recently arrived visitors from outer space that have a lot of potential valuable information that they can tell us about their origin." [Crash! 10 Biggest Impact Craters on Earth]
Once a meteorite is in the lab, researchers can analyze its components. For instance, the mineral schreibersite, which contains nickel, iron and phosphorous, is found only in iron meteorites, Notkin said. Another clue is the Widmanstätten pattern, a geometric structure unique to iron meteorites, he said. Some meteorites are packed with gemstones, which form on asteroids that once had a molten core and formed crystals out of the magma.
Recovered meteorites can also yield fascinating geologic discoveries. In 2011, researchers found a new type of mineral on a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite.
Space rock skeptic
After investigating countless meteorites, Notkin said he was skeptical when he heard about the Indian episode.
"When there's an unexplained event — when there's an explosion or a strange rock appears — it's very common for people who don't have expertise in meteorite science to say, 'Oh, that must be a meteorite. It must be something that fell out of the sky,'" Notkin said.
NASA seemed to echo that skepticism.
"To form a crater the size of what has been posted online would have required a meteorite of at least several kilograms," NASA said in the statement. "While more details may be forthcoming from local scientists, this is unlikely something from space."
In early 2016, Hillary Clinton gave what might be the most significant signal ever telegraphed to the American people about UFOs.
Or she just confirmed that the concussion she suffered three years ago has finally gotten to her.
On Jan. 4, Clinton, in response to a question from a reporter, stated that she intended to get to the bottom of the UFO issue and opined that she thinks we may have been visited, but wasn’t sure. She also stated that her campaign manager, John Podesta, made her personally pledge to get the information out. She suggested a task force might be created to look into the matter.
This is not the first time a person running for the Presidency has expressed an interest in the topic. President Jimmy Carter, during his 1976 campaign, stated that, as president, he would seek to get all the information about UFOs released to the public. It has beenreported that during a top-secret intelligence briefing, one of the first questions the newly elected President Carter asked the then-current CIA director George H.W. Bush was whether he could get access to the government’s information related to UFOs. Bush denied the request, stating that the president-elect had no “need to know” this information.

In a strange twist, we fast-forward to Oct. 15, 2015, when that very same former CIA director and former-President George H.W. Bush — while campaigning for his son Jeb — was asked whether the government would ever tell the truth about the UFO phenomenon. His response was, “Americans can’t handle the truth.” Naturally, Jeb’s spokesman said the comments didn’t represent the campaign.
Toward the end of the same article, reporting on the President’s comments, the writer suggested that Bush Sr. was likely suffering from some form of senility; however, undercutting that assertion in the very same article were the former president’s 1988 comments on the subject when his senility was not in question. He verified that the issue was classified, and that he knew a good deal about it.
Mainstream media have long-dismissed stories on the subject by making the obligatory comment about little green men. Everyone then chuckles because educated media types all know that humans are the only beings in the universe.
True to form, when Hillary Clinton broached the subject in January, CNN suggested she was joking. But while she may have been somewhat playful in her demeanor, the substance and extent of her comments suggested purpose and planning.
Clinton has been involved in UFO discussions through what the UFO community refers to as the Rockefeller Initiative. She has a good bit of background on the issue. We can either assume she is senile, was just joking, or she has some calculated interest in revealing what would be the most important disclosure in human history.

The key is John Podesta. He has stated that getting the UFO files released was his greatest failure while in the Obama Administration.

He also encouraged Lena Dunham to ask Hillary about UFOs several months ago.
The campaign neither disavowed Hillary’s comments nor suggested she was joking. Also, keep in mind that her comments were made on the weekend at a small-town newspaper, a prime time and location to test the waters on a new issue.
The main directive of any campaign manager is to stay on point. Promoting the campaign manager’s UFO opinions is not part of that prime directive. I find it hard to believe that the campaign hadn’t rehearsed this and probably a thousand other off-the-wall questions. She could easily have said she had no interest in the topic. If she wanted to be playful, why not joke about Donald Trump’s hair being the vestigial remains of his Sasquatch heritage?
Of course, maybe these were the gratuitous ravings of a politician trying to get the UFO community’s vote. But she didn’t just make one statement: She promised action. These tangible expressions and promises for the government to review the issue are steps that no governmental official, past or present, has been willing to even acknowledge, much less pursue.
In this author’s humble opinion, the evidence for the UFO phenomenon is so overwhelming that only the uninformed will be surprised by the reality of UFOs. (Check out the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure for a comprehensive background). What the phenomenon represents is another matter.
The political repercussions of UFO disclosure
Regardless of your view, the perplexing question remains: What could the Democratic frontrunner for the U.S. presidency gain by interjecting the issue of UFOs into her campaign?
The speculation starts with the assumption that UFOs are a real phenomenon that the government knows exists but is unwilling to admit. If we don’t assume at least that much, then I can’t really see any advantage for Hillary Clinton to mention the subject.
As a candidate who is not adored among her supporters nor trusted among the voters generally, what would be the advantage to mention the topic if she thought it were a dead end? It would seem to have only downsides and no upside; however, what if she felt she needed to swing for the fence with some truly game-changing information that could change the dynamic and the topic of the race?
There is no doubt changing the topic of her campaign would be helpful. Recently, she has faced questions about her health. She is facing an insurgent campaign from Bernie Sanders that has gained momentum. Bill Clinton’s sexual escapades have been forcefully reconstituted in the new book, The Clintons’ War on Women, and are systematicallyseeping into the campaign. Her role in the destruction of the credibility of Bill’s victims is a major part of the book and an awkward issue for the campaign. The never shy Donald Trump has not so gently fanned those flames.
The Clinton Foundation’s fundraising from foreign sources is still ripe for discussion. The Benghazi affair lingers. Finally, and probably most importantly, the classified email problem continues to fester and could result in an indictment, and an indictment in the middle of the campaign would be almost insurmountable.
All these issues undercut the image of Hillary as a champion of women and a competent, trustworthy leader. UFO disclosure is the one issue that could vaporize every one of her political liabilities and render Donald Trump and the seven dwarfs irrelevant.
The effects of a Disclosure President
Hillary would probably not be the Disclosure President; however, for Hillary to get the political benefit of disclosure, she only has to set off the chain reaction and watch as President Barack Obama makes the announcement. In this one stroke, Obama is made relevant and thrust back into a worldwide media storm — not the story of the year, but the story of all recorded human history. While President Obama might bask in the attention, he would have to answer some of the most difficult and delicate questions a president has ever been asked, thus clearing the way for the next president to continue the project of disclosure with very little political risk.
In the meantime, disclosure would suck all of the air out of the election, obliterating her political baggage. She would then become a champion of truth on the most important issue of all time. She would be instantly changed into the good government advocate that brought transparency to that good ol’ boy military-industrial complex, which had been sitting on this truth for its own purposes for at least 70 years. It would give her the power to move forward and control the debate on the issue.
It would also disconnect her from the systematic deception of the government. How would Americans react if the country had been denied the benefits of transformative technologies paid for by the citizens but hidden for decades? What if NASA had been building rockets while the government had space technology capable of traveling easily to planets and maybe the stars? By initiating the start of disclosure, Hillary Clinton would guarantee her role as the first woman president and the greatest whistleblower the world has ever seen.
Presidential candidates Cruz and Trump
One can imagine the confusion and consternation of the two leading Republicans with the change of topic. How could Trump recapture the limelight? His campaign against illegal “aliens” would take on a new meaning. He would no doubt brag that he had long known everything there is to know about UFOs. (In fact, he was trailed by a UFO at a recent campaign stop.) But he would be in the most uncomfortable position of having President Obama and Hillary Clinton leading the discussion with the real inside scoop.
Ted Cruz would have a different problem. Since his base is substantially made up of the evangelical right, the religious implications would pose a serious challenge to this group’s religious world views. Would they take the position that disclosure was an elaborate conspiracy? Not a preposterous idea. Would they express the revelation as demonic interference and mesh this notion into their end-times theology? A person with Cruz’s intellect, political smarts and obvious religious faith would have to very quickly come up with a convincing and unifying reaction.
Many Americans would sigh a bit of relief that the government had finally admitted what was obvious to them. The cultural conditioning that has been going on for the last 70 years would finally make sense to everyone.
If Hillary could pull off disclosure, she would likely guarantee her election; however, if she attempted it and failed, it would probably be the final nail in the coffin of her candidacy.
Either way, it would be the most interesting pre sidential campaign in American history.

Epic Gravitational Wave Detection: How Scientists Did It

To spot gravitational waves directly for the first time ever, scientists had to measure a distance change 1,000 times smaller than the width of a proton.
Researchers with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) announced today (Feb. 11) that they had made history's first direct detection of gravitational waves, enigmatic ripples in space-time whose existence was first predicted 100 years ago by Albert Einstein's famous theory of general relativity.
The gravitational waves were generated by the merger of two medium-size black holes about 1.3 billion years ago, researchers said. These waves raced through space at the speed of light and encountered Earth, where they were picked up by LIGO's two huge detectors as a brief signal on Sept. 14, 2015. Supersensitive detectors
The LIGO detectors are in Livingston, Louisiana, and Hanford, Washington. Each one consists of a giant L-shaped structure with arms 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) long. A laser beam shines down each arm from the crux of the "L," and mirrors at the ends of these arms reflect the light back.
If the beams from both arms arrive back at the crux at the same time, they cancel each other out, and no signal is produced in the system's light detector. This is the normal, expected scenario. But if one of the beams arrives a bit late, a signal is produced, which could be evidence of a gravitational wave.
Gravitational waves, after all, distort the fabric of space-time. A wave that passes through a LIGO detector — and "passes through" is a fairly apt description, because gravitational waves do not interact meaningfully with matter — will lengthen space-time ever so slightly along one arm of the "L," and compress it along the other arm.
"Ever so slightly" does not fully capture just how minuscule this distance change is, however. The effect LIGO observed last September works out to a shift of a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a meter — about one one-thousandth the diameter of a proton, project team members said.
To put this kind of sensitivity into yet more perspective, LIGO technology is theoretically capable of measuring the distance from the sun to the nearest star — Proxima Centauri, which lies about 4.25 light-years away — "to a level of about the width of a human hair," David Reitze of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), executive director of the LIGO Laboratory, said during a news conference today.
"LIGO is the most precise measuring device ever built," Reitze added.
Achieving this level of sensitivity isn't easy. For example, LIGO's laser beams travel down the detectors' arms in a near-perfect vacuum. And the system's light-reflecting mirrors hang from pendulums in a sophisticated quadruple-suspension setup, to isolate them from the everyday jiggling and jostling experienced on Earth's surface, LIGO team members said.
Furthermore, the groundbreaking detection wouldn't have been possible without a significant overhaul of the LIGO detectors, which first hunted for gravitational waves between 2002 and 2010. The project then took a five-year observing hiatus, as team members redesigned and upgraded the system's instruments to get a new "Advanced LIGO" up and running. Advanced LIGO features a sensitivity 10 times that of the original incarnation, project representatives said. The new version began its first official observing campaign in September 2015 — a few days after the historic detection, which was actually made during an engineering test run.
The fact that Advanced LIGO made a detection so soon after getting to work suggests that the system will spot more gravitational waves in the near future, team members said.
"We ought to see some more over the coming year," said LIGO project co-founder Kip Thorne, also of Caltech.
Prof Stephen Hawking Celebrates Gravitational Wave Discovery
The Sept. 14 signal was spotted by both LIGO detectors, about 7 milliseconds apart. This double detection gave team members confidence that they had captured a real astrophysical event, rather than something produced by local environmental conditions.
But they still took great pains to rule out alternative explanations, scrutinizing a variety of detector data and the output of numerous on-site instruments that measure seismic activity, radio interference and many other possible sources of "noise" that could conceivably mimic a gravitational-wave signal, team members said.
"It took a long time to get this [result] out, and that's part of the reason," said LIGO project co-founder Rainer Weiss, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
The signal also closely matched that predicted by supercomputer models of black-hole mergers, said LIGO Scientific Collaboration spokeswoman Gabriela Gonzalez, a professor of physics and astronomy at Louisiana State University.
Details of the signal allowed the LIGO team to estimate the masses of the two merging black holes — 29 and 36 solar masses, respectively. The single black hole that resulted from this smashup contains just 62 times the mass of the sun.
"That's because there were three solar masses emitted in energy, in gravitational waves. That's a huge amount of energy," Gonzalez said. "And we can tell all of that from this tiny fraction of a second in the waveform."
Further details embedded in the signal revealed that the wave source lies about 1.3 billion light-years from Earth, she added. And the time delay between the signals recorded in Louisiana and Washington provided more information, allowing the LIGO team to triangulate that source's location to a degree.
"We can tell it came from the southern sky, in the rough direction of the Magellanic Cloud," Gonzalez said.
The LIGO collaboration will publish its results in an upcoming issue of the journal Physical Review Letters.
The LIGO project is operated by scientists at Caltech and MIT, and it's funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation.

Searching for Hollow Earth, Ufologists Find Underwater Skyscraper
Scientists, archaeologists and UFOlogists alike have been using the Google Earth software which proved to be very competent tool when it came to finding relics, unknown geological structures or even signs of extraterrestrial existence.
There have been countless theories and even tens of detailed descriptions of a place called the Hollow Earth, where an advanced civilization discretely makes its living, far away from the savage jungle of our society. The growing interest for this topic made UFOlogists begin an ample search for this legendary place using – you guessed it – Google Earth.
Searching based on symmetry, they divided the globe in 3 zones and zoomed in on a spot located exactly opposite to the great Giza Pyramids. This exact spot held nothing interesting, but widening the search area and zooming in even closer, the UFOlogists discovered a massive structure, measuring approximately one mile in height, on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.
Most people believe that this tower is not a natural formation, but rather an artificial one, simply because nothing similar has ever been discovered on our planet. For firm believers of the Hollow Earth theory, this was the final proof they needed, not only of its existence, but also the location or pathway. They geologically inspected the tower’s surroundings, and found something looking like a layer, a very large gap streching deeper than the ocean floor.
This so called layer is said to be similar, more or less, to what people who claim to have visited it depict. These people also said that the race inhabiting inner Earth doesn’t really hide there forever, but have chosen to come out very rarely, which probably means they do so in order to study us, and not for the resources (We didn’t believe that Earth was going to run out of resources soon anyway).
Hollow Earth theorists and UFO believers don’t normally agree. This case is a rare exception, and for completely different reasons. UFO researchers don’t really believe in the existence of another, slightly different or more advanced human race, but they have always accepted the possibility of inner Earth.
More than 95% of the world’s seas and oceans are entirely unexplored and most of the globe is covered in water, so mankind only knows very little about the planet it inhabits. What geological structures or life forms lay in the vast unknown areas might be beyond human comprehension. The possibilities are endless.
Also, people normally think of UFOs as pure aircraft or spacecraft. But if aliens could travel through space, then a UFO would have no problem submerging and navigating the oceans just like a submarine. UFOlogists now believe this tower to be part of a global network of such gigantic structures, used by ancient advanced civilizations (human, alien, or both) to transmit and receive large amounts of energy through great distances, or as some would say, from one side of the Earth to another.
Tesla also came up with a similar theory about transmitting the energy through air, proving it possible, but researchers who believe the ancient Egyptians, Mayans or Sumerians also possessed this technology are still not being taken seriously.
No country has yet to make an official statement on this discovery, which seems a bit odd, let alone send an exploration team (at least not officially). So here are the exact coordinates if you want to take a look for yourself. Let us know what you think.

Scientists Prove Einstein Was Right After Detecting Gravitational Waves
The discovery may usher in a new era of astronomy and answer big questions about black holes.

Albert Einstein at his desk in Germany in 1929. It was years prior, in 1916, when he predicted the existence of gravitational waves as part of the theory of general relativity.
Albert Einstein was right! He hypothesized a century ago that gravitational waves exist, and rumors have been swirling for months that scientists have detected them. Those rumors were confirmed in a press conference on Thursday.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have detected gravitational waves," Dr. David Reitze, executive director of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO), said during the conference. "We did it."
His announcement was followed by a round of applause by scientists and journalists gathered at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., for the "status report" from researchers involved in the long quest to detect the waves.
Gravitational waves have been likened to ripples in space-time that flow outward at the speed of light when black holes or other massive celestial objects collide.
Reitze said that the detected waves were found on Sept. 14 and were produced during the merger of two black holes that became a single, more massive black hole. (Watch the video above, and a computer simulation of the colliding black holes below.)
"Our observation of gravitational waves accomplishes an ambitious goal set out over five decades ago to directly detect this elusive phenomenon and better understand the universe, and, fittingly, fulfills Einstein's legacy on the 100th anniversary of his general theory of relativity," Reitze said in a statement.
Before the discovery was confirmed, Lawrence Krauss, a theoretical physicist and professor at Arizona State University, told The Huffington Post that detecting these waves would be a "huge milestone."
"It opens a new window on the universe," he said. "Gravitational wave astronomy could be the astronomy of the 21st Century. More than that, it may reveal important information on the nature of gravity, black holes, and fundamental physics."
"Every time we have opened a new window in the past, we have been surprised," he continued. "I would be surprised if we weren't surprised again."

Clifford Burgess, a theoretical physicist at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario, offered a similar assessment ahead of the press conference.
"If this is true, then you have 90 percent odds that it will win the Nobel Prize in Physics this year. It's off-the-scale huge," Burgess told Science magazine last week.
The discovery was a collaboration between the California Institute of Technology, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and LIGO, which is a pair of kilometers-long laser devices designed to detect gravitational waves.
The devices -- there is one in Livingston, Louisiana, and one in Hanford, Washington -- have been operating on and off for more than a decade.

Just as they hadn't in January, nor December, nor countless other instances of apparent extra-terrestrial activity reported in Nanaimo over the past few years.
The truth, sadly, is far more mundane: the lights were connected to a box kite that a local man was flying in the wee hours of the morning.
"Normally this would not be odd behaviour, but at 1.30 in the morning it seemed out of place," Cpl. Jon Stuart said in a statement.
"This kite had been flying extremely high (possibly around 10,000 feet), when the line broke, and he lost the kite."
After pointing out the potential dangers posed to aircraft by a kite flying at altitude, the police do not plan on taking the matter further.
This is not the first time a Nanaimo flying saucer has been proven to be a kite.
Police didn't name Wednesday's perpetrator of mass panic, but in the past, local enthusiast Neil Parman has been found to be at the end of the tether.
Just last year, a group of intrepid ghostbusters headed out to track down the source of an eerie November glow, careening bravely around Nanaimo, recording their efforts and posting them to YouTube.
What they found was Parman.
"This is why I say I'm pretty fly for a white guy," Parman says on the video, laughing.
He also explains that the LED lights are connected to the line, so he can see how much lift he's getting on the kite.
Despite having been interviewed about his nocturnal aeronautical activities on local television two years before, Parman says people still show up in significant numbers to find out what's going on.
"I'm surprised this many people track me down."
He says he's trying to break the world record for flying kites,and he'd eventually like to do that for charity.

Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell Has Passed On
Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who became the sixth man on the moon when he and Alan Shepard flew in Apollo 13, has died. He was 85.
Edgar Dean Mitchell was born Sept. 17, 1930, in Hereford, Texas, and grew up working on his father’s cattle ranch in New Mexico. He joined the Navy and got a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before joining NASA. Mitchell died February 5, 2016, at a West Palm Beach hospice after a short illness, coinciding with the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 14 mission, which ran from Jan. 31-Feb. 9, 1971.
He joined NASA in 1966 and helped design and tests the lunar modules that first reached the moon in 1969 with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Their mission, the third lunar landing had its share of glitches. Shepard and Mitchell almost didn’t make it to the surface because of problems in the lunar module. They landed in a hilly region while Roosa orbited overhead. Once they started for the surface, several problems occurred with a faulty switch and the landing radar was not working correctly. Shepard and Mitchell took the dangerous and rule-breaking step of landing without radar. Fortunately, the radar started working just prior to landing. They collected about 95 pounds of samples in nine hours walking the lunar surface. They showed that astronauts walked nearly two miles on their second expedition onthe surface.
Their mission was popular because Shepard became the first and only golfer on the moon, while Mitchell watched from the rover Mitchell tossed a metal rod making the only “javelin” throws on the moon. Shepard later wrote that Mitchell remained “Mr. Unflappable” during the landing scare”.
Mitchell conducted a telepathy experiment he claimed a success on the three day ride home that would give Mitchell notoriety. He thought humans weren’t the only intelligent life in the universe. Mitchell wrote in his 1996 autobiography. “It occurred to me that the molecules of my body and the molecules of the spacecraft itself were manufactured long ago in the furnace of one of the ancient stars that burned in the heavens about me.”
He left NASA in 1972 and founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences, which is dedicated to exploring the mysteries of the human mind and the universe. Later he devoted his life to exploring the mind, physics and unexplained phenomena.
During a Television program with the Disclosure Project at the National Press Club, I was introduced by Astronaut Edgar Mitchell who told the audience to listen to what I had to say about UFOs. After the show, we were alone talking and Mitchell told me, “I signed a NASA strict security contract that I had seen no evidence of aliens; therefore I didn’t see any evidence of aliens on the moon, but all my astronaut friends had”. I asked what was the UFO situation all about? He told me, “The answer is in the Dead Sea Scrolls. I suggested the War Scroll of the war between the Son’s of Light and the Son’s of Darkness. He smiled and said, “That’s the one”.
He told me many of those involved in the Roswell UFO crash came to him because lived nearby, and he was one of twelve men who walked on the moon. They all told him the alien crash at Roswell was real. He stated, “I have met with credible professionals within two governments who have testified to their own firsthand experiences with close encounters. They include members of military, intelligence, and government whose official duties involved the extraterrestrial presence. As is expected, they were all bound by strict security oath agreements which prevented them from disclosing any of this.” He claimed the U.S. government covered up evidence that aliens had landed here and even most generals, admirals and even presidents were not privy to the information. Mitchell courageously spoke out for the Disclosure of the truth and I consider it a pleasure to have known him.
He may now learn the secrets of eternal life and the universe. He walked on the moon and now will explore heaven.
If you stopped a few people randomly in the street and asked them about UFOs, you’d probably find that some of them had heard about Roswell (and maybe Rendlesham Forest), but that would probably be the extent of their knowledge. With the public, there’s often a (mis)perception that the UFO mystery is a peculiarly American phenomenon. Within the UFO community there’s a better awareness of the true situation, but despite acknowledgement that there’s a lot of activity in countries such as Mexico and Brazil, there’s still a US-centric (and to a lesser extent a UK-centric) bias. Part of this is attributable to the language problem, but there’s a wider cultural bias issue here too. Which brings us neatly to Piotr Cielebiaś and his thought-provoking book “UFOs over Poland”?
In 2013-14 Polish UFO researchers received numerous reports about unidentified aerial devices in form of triangles and boomerangs. Being silent, often camouflaged and active only at night usually near large military installations. That arise question whether we deal with something of human origin, connected with civil war on Ukraine or the new face of UFO phenomenon.
The book certainly ‘does what it says on the tin’, but it’s the subtitle, “The Land of High Strangeness”, that’s really telling, because high strangeness is exactly what we get. This is a real researcher’s book, and a very honest one: instead of highlighting only those cases that fit the author’s beliefs, Piotr dumps a whole bunch of raw data into the public domain as if to say “Here you go, try to make sense of this lot”. Some cases are clearly ‘pure’ UFO incidents, but others are more paranormal in flavour. This book is a wake-up call, because it eloquently demonstrates that the UFO phenomenon is richer, more complex, more diverse, and much more difficult to define than such narrow-minded thinkers seem to understand.

Phoenix Lights Cockpit Footage
Phoenix— Classified military footage of the Phoenix Lights UFO phenomenon has recently been leaked by a former U.S Air Force aviator. The footage reportedly captures never-before-seen cockpit footage of Lockheed-Martin F-16 and Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II fighter jets in action the night of the original incident 17 years ago on March 13, 1997. 56th Fighter Wing Public Affairs at Luke has received numerous inquiries and requests, but has remained silent on the footage. The report claims additional footage of multiple civilian casualties has been obtained.
The Phoenix lights incident is one of the largest UFO sightings in North America. Thousands of Arizona residents became alarmed when they noticed a sizable object in the sky above Phoenix 19 years ago. Multiple eyewitnesses reported a diamond-shaped craft hovering above the city for at least a couple of hours. Nineteen years later, questions about the Phoenix Lights are still being asked. Arizona residents still remember the phenomenon and the new footage has stirred more tension around the 19-year-old event. Zimbabwe South African Ancient Ruins
No other structure in the world has raised so many important speculations as the ruins on a granite hill in Zimbabwe. Big walls are mostly 10 meters high and up to 7 meters wide at the base. There are two distinct compounds. One of them is an elliptic structure approximately one hundred meters long; the other compound is an acropolis. To build the structure, around 15,000 tons of granite stones 6 – 15 centimeters thick were needed, which were laid on each other with a great precision without using mortar.
A great mystery is the “conic tower,” a nearly 10 meters high broad- top cone with a based diameter of 5 meters. The performance of the builders and the precision with which the stones were bound are fascinating. The compound in Zimbabwe was built in a period when it was already known that a menhir does not have to be a monolith. The broad-top cone is thus clearly a menhir. The great weight of the walls suggests that they may have been used to accumulate energy. The whole area seems to be an energy compound that was built at a place with a strong concentration of energy. However, this may have changed; water flows, to which the whole compound was oriented, may have changed their basins, and the energy components can be somewhere else. Most likely, the ruins are Phoenician as the walls are similar in design. The nearby gold mines were the ones discussed in the Bible bringing gold to Solomon. 1 Kings 10 8 states, “Hiram’s ships brought gold from Ophir; and from there they brought great cargoes of almugwood and precious stones”. King Hiram was the Phoeneician King whose Navy sailed around Africa.
Menhirs were built in great numbers on four continents. This could not have been a coincidence; so people must have communicated with each other. It is possible ships roamed the world in ancient times.
The epic of Mahabharata, of India the most extensive work of world literature (400 BC) depicts with awe a terrible weapon carried by Vimanas (UFOs) able to kill all warriors who had metal on their bodies. “When they learn well in advance that the weapon is to be used, they tear every metal part from their bodies, jump in the river, and wash thoroughly. Ancient radio or UFOs provided contact between the four continents.
Another archeological mystery is the method how people of megalithic culture extracted, processed, and transported stone monoliths weighing up to 2,000 tons. Daniel Snyder, owner of the NFL Redskins, has announced that the team is dropping “Washington” from the team name, and it will henceforth be simply known as “The Redskins”.
It was reported that he finds the word ‘Washington’ imparts a negative image of poor leadership, mismanagement, corruption, cheating, lying, and graft, and is not a fitting role-model for young fans of football.

Phoenix — One night I was outside talking to my dad on the phone as we were talking a bright pulsating light caught my eye on January 31, 2016! I began to walk towards it, as I got closer, I stopped as a truck came around the corner near the dumpsters and it stopped as well! I stood there staring at this massive craft! As it made no noise at all!! The red light continued to pulsating! I was stuck! I couldn’t move my feet! My dad was still on the phone talking! All of a sudden, I was able to move my feet! I told my dad and ran into the house to get my friend!! I screamed and told her that she needed to see this! I got her to come outside with me and the craft was leaving. She yelled, “Let’s go, I’m going in the house and you should too!! She left and I watched it go behind the high trees still seeing the white lights flashing that went steady! I ran in the house and sat down in amazement at what just happened. I didn’t feel threatened while being stuck in place! But that night the dreams started coming and I woke up crying and screaming! I remember being terrified. I know something happened! I haven’t been the same since these things have taken place! I have markings on my body and what looks like 3 perfect ice cream scoop marks! California Lights
Citrus Heights — I was at my house an observed an object that was unusually bright in the eastern sky on January 12, 2016. I pointed it out to my brother-in-law and asked him what he thought it was. I observed it slowly ascending about 5:45 AM. I got my telescope and viewed the object through the lens. I observed an object resembling an eye that was slightly pulsating and moving slowly. It was yellowish green in color and had a circle in the middle that was black with three lines like things separating it into three pieces. I was not sure what the object could’ve been, so I proceeded to take pictures through the telescope thus documenting my observation. I thought it was very strange and something I’ve never seen before. I asked several people if they had ever observed anything similar, they had not. I lost sight of the object because the sun finally rose and it was moving upwards slowly. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Colorado Disc
Sterling — I was driving home to Eckley, traveling south on the evening of September 27, 2015. It was dark out, and I noticed a low glowing spherical object to the east of me. It was too low to be a star or planet and appeared to be following me. It would appear to be closer then farther away. I tried to take a picture with my cell phone, but my cell phone was dead. I traveled over 50 miles to my home and it was still there to the east, though smaller and farther away. So, I took a picture with my Cannon Camera. There was a full moon out later that night and I took some pictures of the moon as well. The spherical glowing object was gone when I took pictures of the full moon. Later when I zoomed in on the glowing object in my photo, the perimeter appears odd and seems to emit some distance from the perimeter. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Miami– I was driving on the Bird Road Street when suddenly this object caught my attention on January 26, 2016.
It was hovering and shining very strong, it stayed for about 4 minutes and started to disappear in about 15 seconds.

Louisiana Triangle
Delta shaped craft seen going from south to north in a straight line. It had a white light in front, steady white light on both left and right side with blinking red light in the center. A deep roaring sound was made but not like the sound of a jet noise. It was 8:45 PM, and its estimated altitude was 2000 feet, moving at steady speed. Nevada Policeman Spots Alien Triangle Over the Casinos
Las Vegas — While driving south on 95S, I saw a triangle with an inverted bottom, outlined in chasing white lights hovering/bobbing above Santa Fe Casino on January 5, 2016. I was traveling to work between 9:25 pm and 9:45 pm and passed the Santa Fe Casino and right above it, I witnessed a hovering silent triangle. It may be some type of military stealth flying object. White was the dominant color of its lights. There could have been other colors as well.
The lights were chasing around in the V shape of the object that I was seeing. The bottom was inverted to another v. As it hovered in that spot, it rotated at a half circle as it bobbed up and down slightly. The behavior of the craft frightened me more than the sight of it. New Hampshire Orbs
Salem— I only recognized this sighting last night, (2/7/16) but occurred in the early fall of 2014. I was outside my old work taking a video I clicked on one & a black object caught my eye. At first, I was skeptical & thought it was a bird, until I searched on my Facebook page and found the whole video. I found that these objects appeared as early as: 09 seconds in. They would be visible in one spot, and then disappear. The more I watched it(which I would pause frame for frame) the more I would watch these objects move around, fade, or move further from its spot throughout the same second. At 2:27, the object comes up from behind my head, and as I slowed it, I watched it disperse into two objects. I paused it; screen shot it when the object was one, then again as it changed into three black objects. They moved kind of in a pattern. They seemed to come out of nowhere in the clouds. I don’t know any bird that can multiply itself in mid flight. My first ufo sighting was when I was at 5 years old and checked out books on aliens in first grade. Thanks to MUFON CMS
New Jersey Triangle
Cherry Hill— I walked outside and stood there watching the stars for ten minutes, as they seemed very bright because there were no clouds. Once my eyes adjusted, I saw a black or dark transparent object moving slowly in a fixed path. It appeared 50 feet away from me and about 50 feet above me as well. The object became still for three seconds once it was above me. Once it reached my brightly lit home, it then continued on at the same rate. I was shocked and awed. I noticed it was there when I saw what appeared to be a moving constellation. Upon further inspection, it blocked out other stars as it moved above me. The front or center (it was difficult to tell where the formation exactly started) had a light-colored part that reflected the street lights which are orange. The whole thing moved silently and smoothly. Three minutes into the sighting, it made the sound similar to the sound of something mechanical moving into place, and it eventually dissipated into the sky or just moved too far for me to see. New Mexico Triangle
Roswell— My friend of mine showed me a video he took over New Mexico when he was on board a plane traveling from Dallas to Los Angeles. It was in October 2014. His GPS showed he was north of Roswell. Numerous passengers inside the plane also saw the same lights during the minute it was visible. After watching the video many times, we still don t know what is! North Carolina Enormous Black Triangle
Camp Mackall Military Reservation, Ft. Bragg — I am a retired US Army Special Forces operator and instructor. I have spent a career honorably serving my country and I swear that the following statements are true and factual. While assigned as cadre to the JFK Special Warfare Center, I spent the majority of my time teaching tactical combat patrolling to Special Forces candidates. At 2330 hrs (11:30 pm) on the night of 13 September 2010, our student squad of 15 men was in ambush posture on a clear night. I heard jet aircraft and observed two fast moving F-15 fighter jets traveling in formation at 10,000 feet heading north. I have vast military experience directly using numerous types of aircraft for close air support during combat operations in Iraq in 2003.
I lifted my night vision goggles (NVG’s) to my eye so I could get a better look at the F-15s, and a mile in front at 2500 feet altitude was an immensely larger object. I estimate it was about the size of an NFL Football Stadium. The vessel was triangular in shape, gunmetal or carbon black in color, making absolutely no sound as it flew ominously straight line and precisely steady undoubtedly under some form of highly advanced intelligent navigational control. I immediately brought the sight to the attention of my assistant instructor who then also observed it as well. Though my (NVG’s) I could see that the unknown craft had at least one light located at each corner of the triangle under its massive dark outline blackening out the night sky behind it, however upon lowering my optics the lights appeared to be pale blue in color and barely visible with the naked eye. Awestruck, we stood and watched this amazing spectacle pass directly over us and for two minutes until it disappeared over the low tree line with the two jets in trail towards the small town of Hoffman to our north. A minute later, it reappeared having had changed direction, now heading south. There were now three fighters in formation behind it and the craft seemed to have pulled further in front traveling at a higher rate of speed. By this time, the student squad was now also watching the event curiously as the triangle and following jets disappeared again. We both agreed that the fighters behind the craft seemed to be in pursuit rather than in escort. There is also a possibility the event was observed by radar. NOTE: The above image is a rendering. Durant–At about 10 am, I was driving north on Highway 75 just south of Durant when I saw these strange cloud formations on December 15, 2015. So, I took a few pictures of them and a few days later, when I went to view them I noticed in two of the photos there was a bright orb at the bottom of one of the clouds. I did not see the orb when I took the pictures. So I could not observe any actions, sounds, or movement. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Texas Circle
Fredericksburg — I was driving on 87 towards I-10, when a very fast black object flew from right to left, exactly in front of my car on January 10, 2016. I slammed the breaks and came to a complete stop, so did the driver behind me. As I looked to my right I saw a very shiny object flying erratically then disappeared without any sound, I just felt a very strong gust of wind and, it left a circle-like trace in the sky. I photographed it from that point. A half hour later as I was driving on I-10 towards San Antonio, the “circle” was still in the sky. I was surprised it had not dissipated by then.
It was at the exact same place I saw and reported about 50 creatures in November 2015, that had a very weird purple see thru skin with very dark veins throughout. They were walking on their hands and knees, trying to create the impression they were sheep. It is too cold to shear sheep but when I tried to report the incident to the local authorities, they claimed all I saw was freshly sheared sheep. I grew up on a farm. I know those were not sheep! A week later, police put cones in the area: “cattle”, they claimed. Something odd is happening in the area. Huge installations are brought into town almost every day. Doppler Radar Paint near Location and Time f UFO Sighting.
This case was reported to me by Erica Lukes who is the director of MUFON for the state of Utah. She knows a radio show host who was scanning communications between aircraft and the FAA shortly after midnight on January 14, 2016. He heard a conversation between an airline pilot and Air Route Traffic Control. The pilot reported seeing an extremely long bright object that he estimated a mile wide to his right. The air traffic controller told him that he was looking in the direction of Nephi, Utah. Apparently, the air traffic controller told the pilot that the object was not detected on radar. The object appeared to keep pace with the aircraft. Research showed that the aircraft was American Airlines Flight Number 434 which was enroute from San Francisco, to Philadelphia, at 31,000 feet. The actual sighting time was 12:13 AM MST on January 14, 2016. We were able to find segments of the conversation on the Air Traffic Control archives of controller telling the pilot that Nephi, Utah was off to his right. However, the UFO report was not on the tape. The Doppler radar map for Salt Lake City was also obtained showing possible UFO returns along the route at the time of the sighting. The radar was operating in “clear air mode” which means that the gain is turned up making it more sensitive.

Strange Alien Object Encounter in Southern Australia
Hackham — I was alone, just my dog and I in my car around 10:55bPM driving down South in Onkaparinga /Hackham driving along Penny’s Hill Road, I witnessed a massive weird shaped object on a vertical angle on January 5, 2016. I pulled over and watched it just suspended there with clear glowing white bright lights underneath it. It looked very overwhelmingly large and sinister looking. It had a dark metallic rippled look but nothing what I would have suspected a UFO would look like. It was suspended above the housing suburb six streets away and was as large as four houses. My brain couldn’t comprehend what I was witnessing. It flew very gracefully silently with elegance like a plane, but at a very quick speed northwest in about 20 seconds. St.Marie-St.Racheal, N.B— These pictures were taken with my friend’s huntingcamera in the woods near his home on January 11-2016. He gave me his permission to send it to you. I was only able to send 9 pictures; the remanding 20 pictures are much brighter. They were taken on two different nights, 8 pictures on January 11-2016 late in the night and 21 pictures on January 13. In the back ground, you will notice the feeding box for the animals and strange light shinning down. Since this event happen, all the animals have stop coming to eat in these area, whereas before they would come on a daily bases. Unknown object strikes Colombian A320 in cruise
By: David Kaminski-Morrow reports Colombian investigators are trying to ascertain the nature of an object which struck an Airbus A320 at cruise altitude in the country’s airspace. The LAN Colombia aircraft had been operating flight 4C3509, a service to Bogota from Cancun, on January 10, 2016. Preliminary information from Colombian authorities, disclosed by the French investigation agency BEA, states that the aircraft had been cruising at 35,000 feet within the Bogota flight information region when hit. It was travelling between the waypoint KAKOL, on the Panamanian border, and the VOR at Rio Negro when the incident occurred. BEA says that, “the aircraft, flying at 480 knots, sustained an impact from an unknown object”.There was no alarm or indications of a malfunction, it states, and the crew – having checked the A320’s systems – opted to continue to Bogota. Inspection of the aircraft revealed a 20 cm depression on the forward left-hand side of the aircraft. Investigators also state that there were visual indications of a substance of unclear origin, and that a sample is being studied to determine its composition. Thanks to Jim Nelson Website
Morphing Alien Craft Encounter in Norway
Asker— I am 30 years old and on Saturday October 10, 2015, I had an experience that I cannot explain. I was a passenger in a car and on my way home suddenly became aware of a very bright cigar formed object in the sky. Right behind the object a smaller object of the same shape occurred. I was looking at these two cylinders. It was so big, but with no wings and suddenly it disappeared. I was looking around in the sky trying to find it, but the sky was empty. Five seconds later, it suddenly appeared again in the sky, but this time in a new shape much closer to my car. It was V-shaped, very white, and bright, but no lights, and squared like boxes. It had mass and behind the big V was a smaller V just hanging. I could not understand what it was. On Google, I found a woman and her 21 year old son telling a similar story. Gravitational waves are the "smoking gun" of the Big Bang.
Predicted by Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity in 1916, a massive object like Earth distorts space-time around it like a bowling ball dropped on a trampoline. The larger the object, the more space-time is distorted by it. If a marble were circling around the bowling ball on the dimpled trampoline, it would fall inward, toward the bowling ball, like a rock in space circling a planet. Gravitational waves are ripples in space-time that travel outward from a source.

Scientists think that powerful gravitational waves are created when two extremely dense objects — like a pair of neutron stars or a black hole and a neutron star — orbit one another in binary pairs. The interaction of those two objects swirl space-time, creating ripples that theoretically can be measured using powerful instrumentation. [See images of gravitational waves]
Direct evidence
In 2014, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics found a faint signal in the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB) that signifies the first direct evidence of gravitational waves ever discovered. Gravitational waves were the last untested part of Einstein's general theory of relativity.
The Harvard-Smithsonian study spotted gravitational waves as ripples in space-time possible left over from the rapid expansion of the universe (called inflation) right after the Big Bang nearly 13.8 billion years ago.
Scientists working on the study found a distinct curling pattern in the CMB — the comic fog that fills the universe and represents the earliest detectable radiation — that further supports the idea that the universe went through a huge period of inflation a fraction of a second after the Big Bang.
"This work offers new insights into some of our most basic questions: Why do we exist? How did the universe begin?," astrophysicist Avi Loeb, who wasn't a member of the study team said in a statement about the Harvard-Smithsonian research. "These results are not only a smoking gun for inflation, they also tell us when inflation took place and how powerful the process was."
Cosmic inflation
CMB radiation came into existence about 380,000 years after the Big Bang. Scientists have mapped the CMB across the sky and found that it is a uniform temperature, evidence that bolsters cosmic inflation theory.
"Why the cosmic microwave background temperature is the same at different spots in the sky would be a mystery if it was not for inflation saying, well, our whole sky came from this tiny region," Chuck Bennett, principal investigator of NASA's Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) mission, told Space.com in 2013. New experimentation
Experiments like Advanced LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory) and Advanced Virgo, could potentially detect those binary-created ripples in space-time, although neither has found a clear signature yet.
"The advanced LIGO detectors that are now being installed will see out through a substantial part of the universe," California Institute of Technology emeritus professor of physics Kip Thorne, a leading proponent of LIGO, said in 2012. "We expect to see black holes colliding at a rate of perhaps somewhere between once an hour and once a year."
Gravitational waves are different from gravity waves, which are ripples created in the atmospheres of planets by the interactions of winds whipping over geological features on the planet's surface.
These ancient Maya artifacts are a set of extremely provocative items that according to many prove that ancient mankind was visited, in the distant past, by beings not from Earth.
According to reports, the contact between an Alien species and the ancient Maya is supported by the translation of certain codices withheld by the Mexican Government.
Whether ancient mankind was visited or not by extraterrestrial beings is a provocative debate that will remain as one of the most enigmatic subjects for years to come. While many people still have doubts where we have been visited by Alien beings in the past, other people firmly believe we have been visited and state that the evidence can be found among an ancient cultures around the globe, from ancient texts to intricate cave paintings, the evidence can be found everywhere.
The alleged artifacts were created by the Ancient Maya and have been in the possession of the Mexican government for at least 80 years.
“Mexico will release codices, artefacts and significant documents with evidence of Mayan and extraterrestrial contact, and all of their information will be corroborated by archaeologists,” he said. “The Mexican government is not making this statement on their own – everything we say, we’re going to back it up.”

According to accounts, it is believed that deep in the Mexican Jungles are landings pads that are at least 3000 years old. These landing pads were left behind by the ancient visitors from the skies.
