WEIRD PHENOMENA, EXPLAINED BY SCIENCE!
WEIRD PHENOMENA, EXPLAINED BY SCIENCE!
It's a big, crazy world out there, so it's understandable that strange stuff happens in it. Fortunately for us puny humans, science has been able to explain some of it. But, in the same way that explaining a joke ruins it, it remains to be seen whether or not science's explanations take the fun out of the world itself.
1. Raining fish in Sri Lanka Fish fell from the sky onto a Sri Lankan village in May 2014, and no, it wasn't a sign of the apocalypse. According to scientists who spoke with the BBC, whirlwinds formed over shallow water, turning into a waterspout, which is essentially a water tornado. When this happens, the spouts vacuum up everything: fish, frogs, eels. Aside from becoming dizzy, the animals can be carried long distances before the spouts peter out and everything drops. And this wasn't an isolated incident. Such incidents have taken place in India, Nepal, and Saskatchewan, to name a few. Gives new meaning to the term "flying fish."
2.The Beacon of Maracaibo In Venezuela, the area where the Catatumbo River flows into Lake Maracaibo holds the Guinness world record for "the highest concentration of lightning" on the planet. So much lightning flashes that the sky is regularly illuminated for nine hours at night, according to the BBC. It's so intense that the phenomenon has also been photographed from space. This natural light show results from a confluence of wind and topography, or so it's believed. Previous theories, however, have postulated that possible uranium and methane deposits are the source. But one thing's for sure: it makes for a great, natural rave.
3. Orange snow in Omsk In 2007, oily orange snow fell on three locations in Siberia, an area usually known for bears and trees, according to The Guardian. Some of the snow smelled, too. Initially, scientists believed pollution or radioactivity caused the pigmented precipitation. But Russian officials blamed the colorful cascade on a storm carrying dust and clay from Kazakhstan. However, environmentalists found high quantities of acids, nitrates, and iron in the flashy flurries. Sounds like someone's up to some scuzzy chicanery.
4. The year without a summer In the early 19th Century, the Northern Hemisphere decided to skip summer one year, sort of. Known primarily as the Year without a Summer, although there are several other names, colder-than-normal temperatures were recorded during June and July 1816 in disparate locations such as Pennsylvania, Germany, and China. According to Bellrock.org.uk, a massive volcanic eruption in Indonesia, compounded by eruptions in other locations, created what's known as a volcanic winter, where ash blocks out the sun, consequently chilling everything out. The resulting ecliptic sky caused catastrophic crop failures, cattle deaths, and even intensified a cholera outbreak from India to Moscow. Makes you at least slightly grateful for global warming, doesn't it?
5. New England's dark day
For early Americans in the 1780s, New England's dark day must've seemed like God was done with them. While there's no way to prove how any deities were feeling that day, we now know that all-powerful beings being in a bad mood probably weren't the cause…at least not directly. In 2007, University of Missouri researchers found evidence of a huge wildfire that had taken place in Southern Ontario, according to History.com. Winds then carried the resulting smoke over the Northeastern United States, tinging the sky and freaking the bejeezus out of Revolutionary America. Candlemakers must've loved it, though.
6. Sailing stones If you ever visit Racetrack Playa, Death Valley, and it looks like the rocks are moving, don't worry. The sun's not playing tricks on you. They're really moving. But they're not moving on their own. In 2014, scientists discovered the cause of this half-century mystery: ice shove. According to Scientific American, thin layers of ice form on the ground, providing a slippery enough surface for light breezes to push the rocks across the dry lake bed. What's left is a trail tracing the rocks' paths. Now that's a rockslide you can enjoy.
7. Bioluminescent waves In some parts of the world, the beaches are so beautiful that the waves shine at night. It's true! These glowing waves, which can be found in the Everglades, the Maldives, and numerous other places around the world, are actually created by microorganisms, according to National Geographic. These particular microorganisms, phytoplankton, give off light when they're agitated, like when they're struck by waves. The result is an alluring glow, which can be seen in various locations in the world's oceans. It also makes for great, natural mood lighting.
8. Light pillars On January 11, 2016, the residents of Annandale, Minnesota who were awake at 4 a.m. witnessed a spectacular light show, according to Fox News. Colorful beams of light glowed down from the pre-dawn sky. No, aliens weren't attacking the town. What they saw was a display of light pillars. Light pillars, sometimes also called sun pillars or solar pillars, occur when light from any source reflects off ice crystals in the air. The result is shafts of light illuminating the sky that put lightning to shame. That almost makes braving the sub-zero temperatures of Minnesota worth it.
9. Flammable ice bubbles The bubbles found in Lake Abraham in Canada may look like a giant lava lamp, but they're nowhere near as groovy. These brisk globules actually contain methane released by bacteria, after consuming dead organic matter, which is then trapped in the ice, according to The Guardian. For the most part, the bubbles are harmless. That is unless they're lit. In that case, they turn to bitter bombs. That's right: Lake Abraham, the only lake that needs a no-smoking sign.
10. The Door to Hell Science can easily explain the 70-meter-wide Door to Hell in Turkmenistan, because science caused it. According to the Daily Mail, back in 1971, Soviet geologists were drilling what they thought was an oil field. But instead, they wound up opening a natural gas-filled cavern. Fearing a poisonous-gas leak, they lit a match, hoping to burn off the toxic vapor. The gas supply they thought would burn off in a few days continues to burn as of this writing. In 2010, Turkmenistan's president Gurbanbuly Berdimuhamedow wanted the hole closed, but that hasn't happened. And in case you're wondering, people can visit the infernal locale. Just don't forget the marshmallows.
11. Dirty thunderstorms Dirty thunderstorms are the ultimate explosive combination. These crackling ash clouds are essentially lightning created by volcanic eruptions. This dynamic display results from the same thing that causes regular lightning: ice particles colliding to produce a static charge, only with rock and ash thrown into the mix. According to the BBC, these voltaic visuals are actually pretty rare, except for at Mount Sakurajima, where it happens on an almost daily basis. Poor Japan. First Godzilla, now this.
12. The Tunguska Event One of the biggest explosions in history, the Tunguska Event occurred on June 30, 1908 in Siberia. The blast leveled approximately 770 square miles of forest, and supposedly left a glow in the night skies for the next three days, according to an issue of Nature from that time. The cause of the explosion, however, has yet to be fully explained. However, of the possible causes, the leading answer is an asteroid burst, similar to the Chelyabinsk meteor in 2013. What is it with Russia and meteors?

PEOPLE WITH RHESUS NEGATIVE BLOOD MAY BELONG TO THE NEPHILIM RACE
PEOPLE WITH RHESUS NEGATIVE BLOOD MAY BELONG TO THE NEPHILIM RACE
Do you have rhesus (RH) negative blood?
If yes, then you may belong to the Nephilim group. Nephilim is a parallel race to us humans.
With the help of ever evolving technology, new studies have shown that this rare blood group may be an indicator of non-human traits in your genetic makeup. In other words, your RH Negative blood sets you apart from the conventional DNA of homo sapiens.
Before any violent or celebratory reactions, let's know what is the origin of the word, Nephilim. In Hebrew, its literal meaning is to fall, like a fallen angel. If yoz check the Bible, the Talmud and the Koran, Nephilim all speaks as "fallen angels." In the Book of Genesis from the Bible, Nephilim produced children with humans. One Nephilim-Human creature was even depicted as the one who killed Japheth, Noah’s son. He took his place whereupon he have fathered many children with Japheth’s unsuspecting wife which eventually populated majority of Northern Europe. Genetic experts can’t fully explain where the origin of this side may have originated. They cited fallen angels or aliens as most likely to be the possible sources.
The genetic experts believes that Nephilim race have higher than average IQ, more sensitive vision and other senses, lower body temperature, higher blood pressure, increased occurrence of psychic/intuitive abilities, predominantly blue, green, or hazel eyes, red or reddish hair, increased sensitivity to heat and sunlight, cannot be cloned and has extra vertebra.
The population for the Rhesus Negative is already very special as very few (15%) people fall within the interesting category. But what does Rhesus Negative really mean? Of all the human blood types, O is the most common. It is a universal blood type. Blood types are further broken down into two groups, negative and positive. This is called the RH factor. The RH factor is the Rhesus (rhesus as in monkey) blood factor. If your blood tests positive for this, you have the factor in your blood. If you test negative, you do not have the factor in your blood.
The origin of the RH - blood type has puzzled scientists throughout years. Could the source for the RH - blood truly came from human-like beings from another planet? Or maybe we are just as alien as they are ( via trendingnewsarchive.com )?

NASA unveils its warp drive concept spaceship IXS Enterprise
NASA unveils its warp drive concept spaceship IXS Enterprise
Published on Mar 9, 2016
what is this nasa ? only a 3rd through the film at 60 frames per sec its a space object that has 2 ends that i think are round and a long tether in the middle holding it together , this thing cloaks in and out of visibility i am very worry about this one as it was coming down to around 20,000 feet above me on Mar 7, 2016 12.35 pmhttps://youtu.be/4WAnkRJShWw look http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/... According to state-of-the art theory, a warp drive could cut the travel time between stars from tens of thousands of years to weeks or months. Harold G. White, a physicist and advanced propulsion engineer at NASA and other NASA engineers are trying to determine whether faster-than-light travel — warp drive — might someday be possible. The team has attempting to slightly warp the trajectory of a photon, changing the distance it travels in a certain area, and then observing the change with a device called an interferometer.
“Space has been expanding since the Big Bang 13.7 billion years ago,” said Dr. White, 43, who runs the research project told the New York Times. “And we know that when you look at some of the cosmology models, there were early periods of the universe where there was explosive inflation, where two points would’ve went receding away from each other at very rapid speeds. Nature can do it,” he added. “So the question is, can we do it?” In 1994, a Mexican physicist, Miguel Alcubierre, theorized that faster-than-light speeds were possible in a way that did not contradict Einstein by harnessing the expansion and contraction of space itself. Under Dr. Alcubierre’s hypothesis, a ship still couldn’t exceed light speed in a local region of space. But a theoretical propulsion system he sketched out manipulated space-time by generating a so-called “warp bubble” that would expand space on one side of a spacecraft and contract it on another.
The truth is out there, but it's so far away that we may never know it in our lifetimes. We know less about space than we know about the ocean, and we swim in that thing like every day. While people have been talking about seeing unidentified flying objects in the sky since ancient times, it's only the advent of videotape recordings and modern reporting that we can really corroborate and look at some of the more serious sightings mankind has witnessed. Let's hope the Men in Black don't arrive as we start going through some of the most convincing UFO sightings we could find.
1. Los Angeles, CA - February 24, 1942 Five years before Roswell was a thing, the United States was gripped by the fear of Japanese invasion. Enemy submarines were spotted off the coast of California, and Pearl Harbor had been bombed only months before, so all eyes were trained on the skies of Los Angeles for a potential overseas invasion. When a "lozenge-shaped" object appeared over LA, the military lit the searchlights and opened fire without hesitation, launching thousands of anti-aircraft shells towards the object, but hitting nothing. Over the course of a few hours, over 25 more unexplained objects were seen by military and civilian onlookers alike. Unfortunately, three LA residents were killed when some of the unexploded, twelve pound anti-aircraft shells came plummeting to the ground in the unreciprocated firefight.
2. Kecksburg, PA - December 9, 1956 There were thousands of witnesses between Ontario, Canada and Northern Pennsylvania who reported seeing an enormous fireball pass overhead on the night of December 9, 1956. Accompanied by reports of strange metal debris falling from the sky, the unidentified flaming object eventually came to a stop in the forests of Kecksburg, PA. Countless people saw something that they couldn't identify. It showed up on seismographs, and the military quickly showed up in Kecksburg to cordon off the area. While the military claims to have found nothing, personal accounts from the area allegedly spotted a craft with hieroglyphics-like writing around the edges, which was removed on a truck by the military. A model of the object sits outside of the Kecksburg fire department today, and the town holds an annual festival to commemorate the event.
3. Spencer, TN - June 1, 1853 It's easy to discredit UFO sightings over college campuses as the products of inebriated mass delusions—people actually went to school to learn and better themselves back in 1853, not just escape parental supervision into a sweat-soaked miasma of debauchery and regretful mornings. On one fateful day over Spencer, Tennessee, students at Burritt College experienced a rare morning UFO sighting, seeing two glowing orbs that changed shape and size, prompting resident professor A.C. Carnes to pen a letter to Scientific American to describe the phenomenon, speculating that maybe the orbs had something to do with electricity. The magazine was unwilling to draw an conclusions from the report.
4. Florence, Italy - October 27, 1954 If you're a UFO taking the day off from probing backwoods farmers' backsides and want to be noticed, show up at a huge sporting event. That's exactly what some flying orbs did in 1954 at Florence, Italy, over the Stadio Artemi Franchi, while 10,000 soccer—ahem, football fans were assembled for a match. The normally rambunctious audience reportedly fell silent, play came to a dead stop, and everyone focused on the silver shapes floating over the stadium. The crafts allegedly dropped cobweb-like strands of an unknown material as they passed, which was later tested and said to include an unusual combination of basic elements, both organic and inorganic. It's tough to argue against 10,000 eyewitnesses.
5. New Jersey Turnpike - July 14, 2001 V-shaped formations of unusual lights are not an uncommon sight in the areas of New York and New Jersey, but even jaded commuters were convinced to pull their cars off of the New Jersey Turnpike in 2001 when an especially visible fleet of golden lights were seen hovering around the area. Hundreds of viewers in backyards and cars bore witness to the lights, and local law enforcement was unable to confirm the source of the disturbance. McGuire Air Force Base, local to the sightings, confirmed that they had no practice flights scheduled that night, so what the orbs were remains a mystery, or at the very least, completely top secret.
6. Colares, Brazil - 1977 While most UFO encounters are of the First kind, where the encountered simply sees an unusual object in the sky, the Second kind is where things start to get scary. For a period in 1977, the city of Colares, Para, Brazil experienced a series of incidents involving small, flying lights which would fire intense beams into people and leave burned lesions behind. The events were frequent enough to terrorize the town, which launched "Operation Plate," a combination of a night watch by the Air Force and fireworks by the townsfolk to scare away anything invading the skies. The phenomenon stopped after a few months. 20 years later, the operation's commander, Captain Uyrange, gave an interview about the events to MUFON, a significant UFO-investigating organization. A few months later, he was found dead, apparently by his own hand.
7. Phoenix, AZ - March 13, 1997 Generally, lines of unusual lights appearing over city skies are dismissed as flares or weather balloons, but a V-shaped formation of lights seen over Phoenix, AZ in 1997 was just a little different. Because of the number of observers, the information gathered is subject to a lot of controversy and disagreement, but most of the witnesses agree that they saw a V-shaped craft with five lights, blocking out the stars behind it. Even the governor reported seeing the lights, but held a press conference shortly after saying that they had "found those responsible" for the objects. Later, after leaving his post (and being indicted of extortion and bank fraud), Governor John Fife Symington III admitted to the lights being of unknown origin after all.
8. Madisonville, KY - January 7, 1948 Known as the "Mantell UFO Incident," this sighting actually resulted in the unfortunate death of WWII Air Force pilot, Thomas Mantell. Military personnel at Fort Knox reported seeing an unusual, white object at 1:45 PM on January 7, 1948, which remained still for around 90 minutes before displaying some high-speed maneuvers in the sky. Four planes already airborne were instructed to investigate the object, but technical problems caused all but Mantell to break away from pursuit. A rapid ascent caused Mantell to black out, and his plane crashed in Franklin, KY, without positive identification of the UFO. Some reports claim that Mantell described an enormous, silver craft, but those have been disputed.
Chinese company Boyalife Group is set to start cloning cows later this year, but they say that they have the technology to do even more.
China’s Cloning Industry
The Boyalife Group, responsible for building the world’s largest cloning factory, says that it already has the technology needed for human replication, and that it is only holding back due to public perception.
The group is currently building the massive plant along the port of Tianjin, China, which is expected to begin production within the coming months. Output is aimed at one million cows cloned every year by the year 2020.
But according to chief executive Xu Xiaochun, the group’s activities won’t stop at just cloningcattle. While the factory intends to produce thoroughbred racehorses and dogs, it is also working with a South Korean partner along with the Chinese Academy of Sciences in improving their primate cloning capacity.
From there, it’s not hard to imagine the next step in cloning technology: humans. “The technology is already there,” says Xu. “If this is allowed, I don’t think there are other companies better than Boyalife that make better technology.”
The Future of Biodiversity
Xu maintains that they are not currently engaged in human cloning activities. This is largely due to fear of adverse public reaction. But Xu points out that social values are subject to change, particularly in terms of people having more a choice in reproduction.
“Unfortunately, currently, the only way to have a child is to have it be half its mum, half its dad,” said Xu. “You either have fifty-fifty, or you have a choice of having the genetics 100 percent from Daddy or 100 percent from Mummy. This is only a choice.”
Xu presents cloning as a safeguard of biodiversity with the Tianjin facility to house a gene bank that will be able to hold up to five million samples in liquid nitrogen. This will serve as a catalogue of endangered species in hopes of regenerating them in the future.
After years of research, scientists have successfully grown crops in Martian soil simulant. Although the crops aren't ready to be eaten, this brings us one step closer to realistically inhabiting Mars.
The story of Mark Watney farming in Martian soil might be science fiction, but in real life scientists are emulating his actions.
Researchers of Wageningen University & Research centre in the Netherlands are working on their second experiment where they grow crops on Mars and moon soil simulant. Building on information gathered from their first experiments, the team was able to grow ten different crop species including tomatoes, peas, rye, garden rocket, radish, and garden cress.
The goal of the research is to provide the basis for growing crops on Mars and the moon, in order to feed the first settlers.
Martian Farmers
So what exactly is a soil simulant? NASA makes them out of our very own terra firma, and you can buy your ownhere.
The Mars simulant comes from a volcanic cone in Hawaii, and has a chemical composition similar to the Mars dirt that the Viking 1 lander analyzed. The Moon simulant comes from volcanic ash deposits near Flagstaff, Arizona. During the experiment Earth potting compost was used as a control.
Plants were cultivated in a glass house under constant temperature, humidity and light conditions and under Earth atmosphere. “This is because we expect that first crop growth on Mars and moon will take place in underground rooms to protect the plants from the hostile environment including cosmic radiation”, states researcher Dr. Wieger Wamelink.
The entire process itself is an improvement on the first experiments from 2013. According to researcher Dr. Wieger Wamelink, “We used trays instead of small pots and added organic material (fresh cut grass) to the Mars and moon soil simulant. This solved the problem we had with watering in the first experiment and also added manure to the soils.”
The results showed improvement, especially the crop growth on the moon soil simulant. Where in the first moon soil experiment most plants died, in the next round they flourished, and the researchers could harvest from the same species as on the Mars soil simulant and the Earth potting compost control.
The production of biomass on the Mars soil simulant was lower than on the Earth control, but it was a minor difference and caused by one of the trays that showed less growth. It was also not statistically different from the earth control.
“That was a real surprise to us”, comments Wamelink. “It shows that the Mars soil simulant has great potential when properly prepared and watered. The biomass growth on the moon soil simulant was less than on both other soils, about half of the biomass. Only the spinach showed poor biomass production.”
A Martian Meal
So did the scientists end up having a feast? Opening their own niche farmer’s market? Not quite.
“The soils contain heavy metals like lead, arsenic and mercury and also a lot of iron. If the components become available for the plants, they may be taken up and find their way into the fruits, making them poisonous.
“Further research on this is necessary and that is one of the reasons why a crowdfunding campaign has been started to finance the third experiment that will be all about food safety. The experiment should start in April 2016 with the growth of a new batch of crops including potatoes and beans. If the crops prove to be safe enough to eat, the funders will be invited for dinner where a ‘Martian meal’ will be served that includes the harvested crops; at least for those who dare!,” says Wamelink.
If you’re feeling brave, you can check out the campaign here and become one of the first to have a Martian dinner.
Did Curiosity Rover Snap a Picture of an Ancient Martian God Statue?
Did Curiosity Rover Snap a Picture of an Ancient Martian God Statue?
After NASA announced that Mars used to be warm and possibly hospitable in the distant past, the images surprised by the rovers roaming the dusty surface of the planet have suddenly started to make more sense. It appears now, more than ever, that on some areas on Mars are standing monuments reminding of a former Martian civilization.
Although the space agency admitted only recently that the Red Planet could had been dwelled some time ago, the countless probes sent by the robotic missions have shown signs of life for many decades. So what is stopping NASA from a full disclosure of the situation there? Could it be that they’ve found something (or someone) still lurking the dusty plains that’s holding them from telling us the truth?
According to some researchers that are constantly analyzing the imagery received from Mars, the above mentioned hypothesis could be true. In fact, we cannot see the true aspect of the planet because, according to them, most of the images are being edited in order to hide the true picture. However, because of the big volume of work NASA has to cover, there are some details that are skipping the eye and make it into the public’s hands, and there are many known artefacts on the surface, but also moving objects in the sky to prove this deliberately cover-up hypothesis.
There are numerous relics varying from presumed man-made structures, to living creatures such as lizards or sand crabs that are capable of enduring the harsh conditions there, but this time however, we’re going to focus our attention on a low-resolution photo sent by Curiosity that strongly resembles an earthly statue dedicated to a god or a great ruler.
We can think of only one possibility why the quality of the image is so bad, but instead of stating out the obvious I’ll present you with an enhanced version of it, that clearly shows earthly features. After zooming in and sharpening the edges, the body of a man standing on a throne starts to take shape. After further increasing the contrast, facial characteristics revealing a circular head with blurred hair and human face are noticed. Other than this, there’s a visible muscular chest, with the lower part of the body being covered in what appears to be clothing or even armor. The enhancing allows for a better view of what NASA scientists are presumably seeing, and are not sharing with the public. Could this be an example of deliberate altering of a Martian find, or is it rather a case of pareidolia – a phenomenon wherein the mind perceives familiar patterns of something which doesn’t exist in reality?
This question has caused a heated debate between Mars analysts and skeptics or rational thinkers. Although there is no guarantee that what we see in the image is indeed an artificial design, the fact that NASA presented a low-resolution picture of it plus the earthly features that resulted from the enhancing, point towards a cover-up scenario.
Whatever the truth is, we can filter the relevant information out of this and trust our own judgement. In any case, the above mentioned example presents further proof that something may be hid from us, and that the renowned space agency could know more than what they’re revealing to us.
Does NASA consider we are not yet ready to embrace the full range of amazing discoveries from Mars, or is there another complex reason that’s preventing them from letting us know what’s going on up there? Share your thoughts.

CIA cover up: Spooks secrecy over UFO sightings to prevent 'mass hysteria' exposed
CIA cover up: Spooks secrecy over UFO sightings to prevent 'mass hysteria' exposed
IT HAS long been claimed the US Government, its enforcement agencies, and NASA have been involved in a massive cover up over contact with aliens and UFOs.
Old files released by the CIA have exposed the agency's previous UFO cover ups
Most notably, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been fingered by conspiracists as being at the heart of it and even responsible for controlling the mythical men in black - mysterious black-suited shades wearing men who turn up to dampen down any UFO or alien hysteria, reportedly telling any witnesses "it didn't happen."
But has the release dampened down the conspiracy or merely confirmed it?
Tucked away in the several files now on its website are a number of references to several sightings official investigators were UNABLE to explain and orders that followed that could be interpreted as a cover up.
GETTY
Scores of unexplained UFO sightings were revealed and also a policy not to release details
There is even reference to the potential to mirror Soviet state-controlled media censureship of flying saucer sightings.
As many as 26 per cent of reported sightings could not be explained and could be down to aliens, according to reports written in the 1950s.
One is a report by the then deputy assistant director/acting chief of the Weapons & Equipment Division dated August 1, 1952 and entitled "Flying Saucers" by Edward Tauss.
It was an "overall evaluation of "flying saucer sightings" for the agency.
It told of between 1,000 and 2,000 reported sightings, most were either "phoney," known US aircraft, or natural or weather phenomena such as meteorites, clouds, tricks of the light, or reflections.
But it said there were touching 100 "reasonably credible reports" that remained "unexplainable" - meaning "interplanetary aspects and alien origin were not thoroughly excluded" - so approaching five to 10 per cent of the sightings were unresolved.
Later reports quoted higher amounts of unexplained cases at 20 and 26 per cent.
The report went on to say that while it was likely there could be explanations if more information were available, as long as there remained inexplicable reports, the CIA interest in the subject should continue.
It said: "It is recommended that CIA surveillance of subject matter, in accordance with proper authorities of primary operational concern at Air Technical Intelligence Centre, be continued.
"It is strongly urged, however, that no indication of CIA interest or concern reach the press or public, in view of their probable alarmist tendencies to accept such interest as 'confirmatory' of the soundness of the 'unpublished facts' in the hands of the US Government.

Paragraphs from the report outlining CIA fear over public mass hysteria and the secrecy policy
The earliest UFO sightings
This UFO sighting in Cave Junction, Oregon, is believed to have been captured on camera by a volunteer fireman, back in 1927
Taken by Paul TRENT i, Oregon, USA in 1950; this is one of the most famous UFO-photographs ever taken
Although many UFO sightings often have rational explanations, a small number truly are unexplained. Here's our pick of the most compelling early UFO sightings from all over the world.
In order to minimise the risk of panic, a national policy should be established as to what should be told to the public regarding the phenomena
CIA memo
On October 2, 1952, a memo was sent from the assistant director of scientific intelligence to the director of central intelligence with the subject Flying Saucers.
It explored the risks of the general population believing aliens were visiting Earth in UFOs.
It said: "Flying saucers pose two elements of danger which have national security implications.
"The first involves mass psychological considerations and the second concerns the vulnerability of the United States to Air Attack."
It went on to recommend developing "a policy of public information which will minimise concern and possible panic resulting from the numerous sightings of unidentified objects".
The memo added that it had found no coverage in the Soviet press, even satirical, of the flying saucer subject.
It added: "With a state-controlled press, this could result only from an official policy decision.
"The question therefore arises as to whether or not these sightings could be 1) controlled or 2) predicted.
"The public concern with the phenomena, indicates that a fair proportion of our population is mentally conditioned to the acceptance of the incredible.
"In this fact lies the potential for the touching off of mass hysteria and panic.
"In order to minimise the risk of panic, a national policy should be established as to what should be told to the public regarding the phenomena."
The released files date from the 1940s to 1978, and the CIA now says it has no interest in the UFO subject, as there has since been found to be no real threat to national or world security from unexplained anaomalies.
It says there is no continued UFO media blackout underway as a result.
But conspiracists, and even respected UFO investigators, disagree and believe that a wealth of more up to date evidence is being kept from the public.
The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is a not-for-profit organisation which investigates UFO and alien phenomena across the globe.
Jan Harzan, executive director of the US-Based Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), said he believes the CIA releases were: "Just trying to play off the X-Files TV show to show themselves to be friendly to the American public.
"What would be very helpful is if they would release the 1,000s of reports they probably have since 1978 and even some of the gun camera video footage they have of military jets chasing these objects across the sky, and provide the analysis of what these object could be."

Person Records UFO Fleet Over Building In London, England On Dec 2015, Photos, UFO Sighting News.
Date of sighting: Dec 12, 2015 Location of sighting: London, England Source: MUFON #74974 Here we have an example of how the digital eye of the camera is more exact than the human eye. The camera caught what the photographer didn't even see at the time. Thats understandable since the iPhone screen is a bit small. There is only two reasons to stop by such a famous building as The Shard. One, to drop some aliens off (looking like us) to look around and do shopping. Two...to observe a marvel of the modern age...the building itself. Scott C. Waring www.ufosightingsdaily.com Eyewitness states: I was at Borough Market, near Cathedral Street, London UK, taking photographs of the top of the nearby building,The Shard. On closer inspection of the photographs, I noticed that a progressive path of unidentified objects was recorded on the several images that were taken. They were clearly visible above the pinnacle of The Shard. The time was approximately 4.30pm. In extreme close-up, the object to the far right has a clearer structure - perhaps metallic. I was using an i-phone 6 – I’m almost certain that these are not internal light reflections; I take lots of photographs and have never observed this phenomenon before or since.
Mercury's Carbon-Rich Crust is Surprisingly Ancient
Mercury's Carbon-Rich Crust is Surprisingly Ancient
By Irene Klotz, Discovery News
Before its planned crash into Mercury last year, NASA's MESSENGER spacecraft gave scientists a parting gift.
In its final orbits, MESSENGER not only confirmed that Mercury's dark hue is due to carbon, but also revealed that the carbon wasn't deposited by impacting comets, as some researchers suspected.
Instead, scientists now believe they are seeing remnants of the planet's primordial crust, which likely formed when a global ocean of super-heated magma cooled, allowing minerals to solidify.
Computer simulations and experiments show that most of these crystallized minerals would sink — with one key exception. Graphite, the studies show, would float.
Scientists used an instrument on MESSENGER called a neutron spectrometer to make low-altitude measurements of the darkest regions on the planet's surface, which were suspected of having the most low-reflectance material (LRM.)
"The measurements showed enhanced fluxes of thermal neutrons over three areas of LRM, so only graphite as the darkening agent fits both the spectral reflectance observations and the neutron measurements," MESSENGER's lead scientist Sean Solomon, with Columbia University, wrote in an email to Discovery News.
Scientists also were able to match the carbon-rich material with large impact craters, evidence that the material stemmed from deep within Mercury's crust and was exposed after an impacting body gouged out a crater.
"Because LRM deposits on Mercury are all associated with material excavated from depth by large impact craters, they must come from the mid to lower crust," Solomon said.
Scientists estimate the ancient crust was about .62 mile, or 1 kilometer, thick.
The crust of present-day Mercury has been bashed by impacts, covered with lava, melted and otherwise disturbed.
"The processes … would dilute any primordial crust," physicist Patrick Peplowski, with Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab, and colleagues write in a paper published this week in Nature Geoscience.
The closest planet to the sun is also an elusive world, revealing itself in our night sky only fleetingly.
The finding also reinforces theories that Mercury's birthplace had higher concentrations of carbon than where the rest of the inner planets formed.
"This inference adds to our deepening appreciation that Mercury formed from a portion of the early solar nebula that was chemically much more reduced and was rich in other volatiles (such as sulfur, sodium, potassium and chlorine) compared with the portions of the nebula well sampled by Venus, Earth and Mars," Solomon said.
Various perspectives on the abduction phenomenon have formed in order to explain the fantastical claims some have made of being forcibly taken and often examined by apparently otherworldly beings. The prime differences between these perspectives lie in how much credence is to be ascribed to the claims themselves. Perspectives range from the assertion that all abductions are hoaxes to the literal belief that the claims are happening objectively and separately from the consciousness of the claimants. The mainstream scientific perspective is that the abduction phenomenon has its roots in human psychology, neurology and culture. That is, it is effectively a psychosocial phenomenon rather than actual cases of alien abduction. However, many among the general public, conspiracy theorists, and ufologists hold to the idea that actual extraterrestrials have been temporarily abducting people against their will!
Personally we here at UIP feel that there is now increasing evidence that people HAVE in fact been abducted by other worldly beings and its an area which needs to be taken far more seriously by the authorities/scientists around the world!
The 6 Most Famous Alien Abductions
Some say alien abductions are nothing more than fevered, unexplained night visions that make their victims believe they were the guinea pig of an interstellar joyride. Others believe the stories as cold hard fact, that aliens are using humans to unlock all of the mysteries of the universe, which may or may not have something to do with an ultrasound probe in an uncomfortable place. Either way, it seems that this strange phenomenon is forever ingrained in our culture. Some of the most infamous cases of UFO abductions have spawned books, films and even serious historical recognition. So since today is “Alien Abduction Day,” we look back at some of those cases that made us scratch our heads as we looked up at the stars. 1. The Antonio Villas Boas Abduction
One of the earliest studied cases happened in Brazil when a farmer in the 1950s claimed a spacecraft emitting a very bright light landed on his family’s farm. He continued to see the strange object until one night, when it took him and left some disturbing evidence of alien experimentation. The farmer claimed the alien beings brought him on their ship to impregnate a rather fetching-looking female and described everything from the ship to his “suitor” in great detail.
When he returned, he claimed the incident produced symptoms such as nausea, loss of appetite, headaches and even bruising. Investigators have differed on their conclusions, but the differing outcomes only gave it more credibility and notoriety among believers and skeptics alike, especially the believers who are praying for an interstellar hook-up of their own.
2. The Barney and Betty Hill Abduction
Betty and Barney Hill.

Under hypnosis, Betty Hill described a map she was shown "by the leader aboard the ship." Later, she sketched it (above). She said she was told that the heavy lines marked regular trade routes, and the broken lines recorded various space expeditions. Years later, researcher Marjorie Fish was able to find a unique matching set of nearby stars which fit the map.
There may have been cases of alien abductions since the dawn of time (or at least since psychiatric medications became more readily available and potent), but the most famous and first well-documented case goes to this couple of Portsmouth, NH. They claimed in September of 1961 that as they were driving home from Montreal, Canada, a bright light jutted out of the nighttime sky on a dark road. As the light approached them, they could see “bipedal humanoid creatures” looking out of the window of the spacecraft. The couple had no memory of the next two hours, but claim they were returned to their car where damages to their clothes and shoes left “evidence” of their spacey encounter.
The incident made the two famous overnight and turned Betty into the nation’s first “UFO Hunter.” The state of New Hampshire also recognized the legend with an official historical marker on the 50th anniversary of the “abduction.”
3. The Betty Andreasson Luca Abduction
Betty Andreasson Luca
Five small humanoid creatures entered the house, passing right through the wooden door.
Alien abduction claims exploded after the Hills’ experience, but the vast majority were easily explained away. However, just a few years later, a woman in Ashburnham, MA, stepped forward to claim she had been taken up by interstellar beings as well. Her case was closely examined by Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) founder and investigator Ray Fowler who had Andreasson undergo hypnosis to verify her claims. She gave chilling details about how the beings were able to immobilize her entire family in order to take her and implant a foreign object in her skull. She said they could talk to her “but not with their mouths.”
The woman even described moments of serene peacefulness, and said the aliens told her the experiments they were conducting were to “prepare for some kind of planetary revelation.” Fowler spent almost a decade examining the case and concluded she was “either the most accomplished liar and actress the world had ever seen, or else she had really gone through this ordeal.”
4. The Allagash Waterway Abduction
Most alien abductions stories, whether they remain credible or not, usually are missing an important element to tie it all together: witnesses. This famous case from 1976 involved four men who claimed to experience the same abduction, a secret they almost took to their graves.
The men were fishing in a canoe in northern Maine when they saw a gleaming UFO with an 80-foot diameter and changing red, yellow and green colors. According to the men, the UFO swooped down and beamed them up with their canoe in a blinding light. They came to several hours later not remembering anything after their abduction, but began to have frightening nightmares. They all underwent hypnosis and revealed their kidnappers were not from Earth. All of the men also took lie detector tests about their claims and passed.
5. The Travis Walton Abduction
The curious case of this northern Arizona logger isn’t just one of the most notorious alien abduction tales, it also became one of the most lucrative. Walton and his fellow loggers were driving home late from work one night down a dirt road when they noticed a strange glow just over the horizon of the trees. They approached the source of the light and discovered a large fluorescent object in the shape of a diamond beaming down a column of light.
Walton wanted to get a good look at it for himself and stepped into the light, thinking whatever was making it would just fly away. Instead, the light grew stronger, picked up Walton about three feet off the ground and threw him down knocking him unconscious. His friends sped away in fear for their lives but decided to go back and get him, only to find an empty clearing with no sign of their friend.
Police suspected foul play at first, but five days later, Walton turned up at a gas station in another town more than 30 miles away. He remembered the abduction and the interior of the craft before he blacked out and woke up in the gas station. Some claim the story was a fake, even suggesting Walton was intentionally given a hallucinogen but the story sparked a wildfire in the media, leading to a best selling book and movie, ‘Fire in the Sky.’
6. The Kirsan Ilyumzhinov Abduction
Kirsan Ilyumzhinov ... says he met creatures in yellow spacesuits. Photo: Reuters
President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov tells of his Alien Abduction
One of the stranger alien abduction cases came to light fairly recent and became famous because the person making the claim was a very high ranking official. This former longtime head of the Region of Kalmykia in Russia, noted for his love of chess and efforts to make his region a prime locale for championship tournaments, claimed on a talk show in 2010 that 13 years earlier, he had been abducted by space beings. He described the craft as a “semi-transparent half tube” occupied by “human-like creatures in yellow spacesuits.” Even stranger, he claims his meetings with the beings weren’t for scientific experiments, but more for a meeting of interstellar minds. To boot, he revealed that aliens are responsible for bring chess to Earth.
The official’s words and claims prompted an investigation into his time as the region’s president to make sure his decisions as a leader weren’t affected by his “interactions” with the aliens. Good luck calling them to testify as character witnesses. Still, we’ve always thought serious chess players seemed a bit off.

The memo that ‘proves aliens landed at Roswell’… released online by the FBI
The memo that ‘proves aliens landed at Roswell’… released online by the FBI
The Truth is coming?
A rather bizarre memo that appears to prove that aliens did land in New Mexico prior to 1950 has been published by the FBI.
The bureau has made thousands of files available in a new online resource called The Vault.
Among them is a memo to the director from Guy Hottel, the special agent in charge of the Washington field office in 1950.
Proof of Alien life? A copy of the 1950 memo that recounts the discovery of flying saucers and aliens in New Mexico. The memo has been published on the FBI website.
In the memo, whose subject line is ‘Flying Saucers’, Agent Hottel reveals that an Air Force investigator had stated that ‘three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico’.
The investigator gave the information to a special agent, he said. The FBI has censored both the agent and the investigator’s identity.
Agent Hottel went on to write: ‘They were described as being circular in shape with raised centres, approximately 50 feet in diameter.
‘They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. “Agent Hottel
Was it true? An image, later disproved a hoax, showing one of the aliens that were autopsied at Roswell in 1947
‘Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall,’ he stated.
The bodies were ‘dressed in a metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.’
Roswell: Secret memo released online is written to the FBI Director and could confirm the 1947 Roswell UFO incident
He said that the informant, whose identity was censored in the memo, claimed the saucers had been found in New Mexico ‘due to the fact that the Government has a very high-powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with teh controlling mechanism of the saucers’.
He then stated that the special agent did not attempt to investigate further.
The release of the secret memo is likely to fuel conspiracy theorists’ claims of a government cover-up.
The town of Roswell in New Mexico became infamous after reports that a flying saucer had crashed in the desert near a military base there on or around July 2, 1947.
The bodies of aliens were said to have been recovered and autopsied by the U.S. military, but American authorities allegedly covered the incident up!
One of the alleged fake photos
Military authorities issued a press release, which began: ‘The many rumours regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence officer of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc.’
The headlines screamed: ‘Flying Disc captured by Air Force.’ Yet, just 24 hours later, the military changed their story and claimed the object they’d first thought was a ‘flying disc’ was a weather balloon that had crashed on a nearby ranch.
Amazingly, the media and the public accepted the explanation without question. Roswell disappeared from the news until the late Seventies, when some of the military involved began to speak out.
Another memo published in The Vault from 1947 claimed that an object ‘purporting to be a flying disc’ had been recovered near Roswell.
The disc was ‘hexagonal in shape’ and ‘suspended from a balloon by a cable’, according to the memo, marked as ‘Urgent’, to the FBI director.
Autopsy: A dead alien is allegedly examined following the landing at Roswell. The photo was later proven to be a fake!
The memo noted that the disc resembled a weather balloon (yes the Famous Weather Balloon) – but claimed that a telephone conversation between the Air Force and the field office ‘had not [word censored] borne out this belief’.
The disc and balloon were being transported to Wright Field for further inspection, the memo noted.
It added that the information was being flagged up because of ‘national interest’ in the episode, and noting that both NBC and the AP were set to break the story that day.
Please see below the link to the FBI’s website which references Roswell.
So after so many years it looks like we are now getting a little more clarity on the whole Roswell incident, and it appears that this was not an incident with a weather balloon and Crash Test Dummies after all! The unfortunate thing about this whole event is the fact that so many people throughout the years have been made out to be ‘liars’ and ‘looking for publicity’ when after all the simple fact is that this incident was very much what it appeared to be by witnesses on the ground!
So many Government official Documents are now being released, this being one of many online. You will also find on the NSA’s website confirmation of Alien contact, however they have kind of tried dismissing it as a ‘bit of humour’ which still doesn’t cover up the fact that they have a Document on their website CONFIRMING Alien Contact.
With all of these ‘Official’ releases of information into the Public domain and the amount of attention UFO’s and Aliens are getting in the media, one thing is for sure……we ARE being prepped for ‘something’
THIS official press release on the FBI’s website is HUGE news in the world of Discovery, especially with this being about one of, if not THE most significant UFO stories ‘ever’
Those words, spoken by Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti in the newly-released movie trailer for "A Beautiful Planet," summarize the IMAX 3D film, which opens in theaters on April 29.
"A crew of astronauts from around the globe capture the wonders of our world as few can," Lawrence says in the trailer. "From this unique vantage point, we gain insight into the impact we have on the environment and witness what humankind can accomplish when we work together."
The new trailer features scenes of Cristoforetti, who is an astronaut with the European Space Agency, together with Terry Virtsand Kjell Lindgren of NASA, and Kimiya Yui of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), floating inside the space station, interspersed with sweeping views of the Earth rotating below.
"The best part of being an astronaut is looking back at our home planet — especially at night. The cities are so bright and so vibrant and so colorful," remarks Virts.
"On the Earth, we have everything we need to survive, air to breath and food and water to sustain life. It is incredible the effort that was needed to design this [space station] life support system flying around the planet," he says.
"A Beautiful Planet" is the eighth IMAX movie to be filmed in space. Director Toni Myers' previous space films include "Hail Columbia," "The Dream is Alive," "Destiny in Space" and "Mission to Mir." Her most recent documentaries were "Space Station 3D" and "Hubble 3D."
Prior to "A Beautiful Planet," Myers gave audiences a look at the Earth from space in the 1990 IMAX film, "Blue Planet."
"It is a giant universe out there, there's lots of stars, lots of planets, but there is nowhere like Earth," says Virts in the trailer for "A Beautiful Planet."
"Looking at Earth from space, we need to start to consider ourselves more as crew members, not passengers," says Cristoforetti.
Virts, Cristoforetti and cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov lifted off to the space station in November 2014 for a six month mission. NASA astronauts Kjell Lindgren, Butch Wilmore and Scott Kelly, the latter who just returned to Earth after nearly a year in space, also took turns behind the digital camera for the movie.
Through the footage, IMAX invites the public "aboard the International Space Station for an incredible journey."
"Explore the challenges we face and the changes we can make to secure our future," says Lawrence.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has a scoop on an unusual new government facility in the middle of the Nevada desert. Eighty miles northwest of Las Vegas, and just south of a landscape pockmarked by nuclear weapons explosions, is Area 6, a mysterious airfield with plenty of hangars but no visible airplanes.
Located on land controlled by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Area 6 is also not far from the infamous Area 51. A NNSA spokesman told the Review-Journal—apparently after months of "fending off questions" regarding the site—that Area 6 is a place government agencies use to test the sensors onboard unmanned aerial vehicles. In other words, it's a drone proving ground.
According to a document filed by the giant multinational engineering corporation Bechtel, Area 6 is used to "construct, operate, and test a variety of unmanned aerial vehicles. Tests include, but are not limited to, airframe modifications, sensor operation, and onboard computer development. A small, manned chase plane is used to track the unmanned aerial vehicles."
The site is allegedly used to test sensors designed to detect nuclear radiation from both nuclear weapons and dirty bombs, as well as chemical weapons. An analyst from Globalsecurity.org told the paper that the Area 6 potentially could be used to test surveillance equipment, especially systems bound for desert environments such as Libya.
Here's Area 6 in Google Earth. While you're at it, scroll north to see the craters of the Nevada Test Site, which was used for both atmospheric and underground nuclear weapons tests. Farther north and a smidge to the east is Area 51—click here if you have trouble finding it.

You know Area 51, but just what in the world is Area 6?
You know Area 51, but just what in the world is Area 6?
The Area 6 runway stretches for about 5,000 feet in a remote location of the Nevada National Security Site in this Google Maps image.
By KEITH ROGERS LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
The asphalt runway stretches for a mile on Yucca Flat, deep in the Nevada National Security Site about 80 miles northwest of Las Vegas.
Built in 2005, the runway covers a dirt landing strip from the 1950s, when the wide, flat valley was used for atomic bomb test shots. A small complex of buildings dominated by a large hangar with unusual clamshell doors dominates the southern end of the asphalt strip.
The complex has no official name. Not many people even know it’s there.
As secret airbases go, the single runway in the test site’s Area 6 is easily overshadowed by the world’s most famous secret military base, Area 51, a dozen miles northeast. Area 51’s existence was only recently acknowledged, even after decades of speculation by UFO enthusiasts that the aircraft development and test facility also houses space aliens and extraterrestrial technology.
Unlike Area 51, which is protected by shoot-to-kill security and shielded from outside view by mountain ranges, Area 6 has only fences and visitor checkpoints. It can be seen at a distance from tour buses on the highway to historic bomb craters at the northern end of Yucca Flat.
But exactly what goes on at the much smaller and much newer Area 6 is still top-secret defense research-and-development work. It’s so hush-hush that the security site’s spokesman can say little about it.
Darwin Morgan, a spokesman for the National Nuclear Security Administration, said the low-key Area 6 facilities have been used by the Defense and Homeland Security departments.
“They come here to test their own sensors,” he recently said after spending months fending off questions about the Area 6 runway from the Review-Journal.
Area 6: Is the Nevada desert hiding another secret testing facility?
Other than a few “Above Top Secret” forum posts from 2009, and a Wikipedia blurb that cites a 2011 Flightglobal story saying the runway is part of an unmanned aerial vehicle test facility, little has been written about the Area 6 runway.
Flightglobal, an aviation industry website, noted a five-sentence description of the Area 6 “aerial operations facility” found in a 7,500-page safety report on the proposed Yucca Mountain nuclear waste project.
“The purpose of this facility is to construct, operate, and test a variety of unmanned aerial vehicles. Tests include, but are not limited to, airframe modifications, sensor operation, and onboard computer development. A small, manned chase plane is used to track the unmanned aerial vehicles,” reads the report Energy Department contractor Bechtel SAIC prepared in 2008 for the Yucca Mountain repository license application.
The National Nuclear Security Administration is a semi-autonomous branch of the Energy Department. Its Nevada field office, based in North Las Vegas, runs the security site.
What it costs to operate Area 6 is difficult to determine. Funding is buried in the Nevada field office’s Strategic Partnership Program, which was part of the $84 million budgeted for the entire security site in fiscal year 2015. Program funding was about 13.5 percent of the field office’s $622 million total budget that year.
The program’s activities include research and development of sensors for detecting explosive materials, deadly gases and chemicals, and radioactive sources that could be used in “dirty bombs.”
Biological weapon sources aren’t allowed at the security site, according to its environmental impact statement.
Portable radiation monitors and some sensors used in airports and at ports of entry have evolved from the program.
Morgan said agencies in the Strategic Partnership Program take advantage of the security site’s restricted airspace to test sensor-equipped aircraft work without public interference or spying from space.
“We have controlled airspace and that gives them opportunities to test various types of platforms,” he said.
Most of the strategic partnership money comes from Defense Department branches: the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
“We do a wide variety of work for others … supporting people with sensor development activities,” Morgan said. “It evolved from the nuclear testing program. We had to have very good sensors to collect data in a split second before they were obliterated.”
Morgan said the Area 6 runway and its apron were built by Bechtel Nevada, the site’s management and operations contractor at the time, at a cost of $9.6 million. The buildings were constructed over several years, and cost figures aren’t immediately available.
As seen from above on Google Earth, the complex is dominated by the clamshell-door hangar and four smaller outbuildings connected by what appear to be covered walkways. Two smaller modern hangars and an older one used during atomic test days round out the facility. Morgan said antennas were installed to allow ground operators to control the flight of unmanned aerial system aircraft.
LOOKING FOR ‘EVILDOERS’
The National Nuclear Security Administration has kept Area 6 so low profile that even defense industry experts were unaware of it.
“I had not heard about it,” said John Pike, director of GlobalSecurity.org, an Alexandria, Va.-based defense information website.
But Pike’s associate, imagery analyst Tim Brown, has estimated the hangar complex could hold about 15 MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted spy planes.
Pike said the length of the runway suggests Area 6 is used for small planes or remotely piloted aircraft such as Predator and Reaper reconnaissance drones.
Bigger spy planes, such as the jet-powered RQ-170 Sentinel unmanned aircraft system, are flown from the Tonopah Test Range by the 30th Reconnaissance Squadron assigned to a Creech Air Force Base wing. It’s unclear if the Sentinel or smaller versions would be flown from Area 6, but Pike said the runway is too small for large jets and bombers. Takeoffs and landings would be tight for an F-16, for example, and an F-15 would need an even longer strip for safe maneuvers.
Pike said aircraft likely in use at Area 6 are best suited for surveillance of hidden targets, weapons or personnel on the ground, particularly in sparsely populated areas. The security site’s high-desert terrain is similar to what might be found in the “boondocks” of Libya, he noted.
“There is a well-founded fear that evildoers are stalking around out there — ISIS and al-Qaida,” he said of Libya. “You have to imagine that trying to develop targeting signatures in this type of mountainous desert terrain. That’s got to be a really high priority … not constrained by funding.”
“I can’t think about a better place to do it where you wouldn’t have civilians stumbling on what you’re doing,” he said in reference to the security site.
So what would stray civilians see if they could stumble in?
Pike offers an educated guess: Sensor arrays made up of more than 350 smartphone cameras mounted on an MQ-9 Reaper that can record and archive movements of people and vehicles over an area of about 40 square miles.
It is known in the unmanned aerial vehicle community as the “Gorgon Stare,” derived from Gorgon monsters of Greek mythology whose gaze was so dreadful it was said to turn a person into stone. While the sensors can’t do that, they can keep terrorist targets from evading the sights of U.S. weapons.
According to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency website, sensor development has soared to new heights under ARGUS, or the Autonomous Real-time Ground Ubiquitous Surveillance program.
The goal is to “provide at least 130 independently steerable video streams to enable real-time tracking of individual targets throughout the field of view. The ARGUS-IR system will also provide continuous updates of the entire field of view for enhanced situational awareness,” the defense tech agency website says.
Pike said improving ARGUS and similar sensor capabilities might be among the activities taking place at Area 6.
“The thing you get with ARGUS is time-lapse photography. If there’s a rock out there that’s moving, maybe that’s a rock you ought to be paying attention to. Maybe it has to do with evildoers,” he said.
“I would assume they have airplanes and UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) they’re flying around out there to see what they can see,” Pike said.
“If they would let me run the thing, I’d tell (special operation troops) to go out and do the best in terms of infiltration,” he said. “Then turn loose the sensors and see if we could find them, play hide-and-seek.”

UFO Dashes Over Aircraft at Incredible Speed [VIDEO]
UFO Dashes Over Aircraft at Incredible Speed [VIDEO]
A disk-like UFO was recently filmed while speeding over Ysterplaat Airforce Base in Cape Town, South Africa. The mysterious object has caused a heated debate among UFO analysts as they are trying to understand its exact type and origins.
On February 27, 2016, a man was recording the ground run of an Avro Shackleton, a British long-range maritime patrol aircraft used by the Royal Air Force and the Sothern African Air Force in the 1950s. After reviewing the film, the man saw an anomaly that only lasted for a brief moment. After slowing the video down, he saw a mysterious object that passed right above the airbase at a tremendous speed.
Wesley Saunders of YouTube uploaded a detailed footage of the sighting, and it shows the original moment when the UFO is passing through the frame almost unnoticed, a slowed-down view with the object, and ultimately a zoomed-in frame. Besides the otherworldly speed of the UFO, the footage reveals its oval shape and a dome on top that’s reflecting the rays of light, features matching the classic UFO description. The UFO comes from the right side of the screen and it follows a curved trajectory. In real time, it’s almost invisible to the eye, or it can be misinterpreted with a bird or a particle of dust, but seen frame-by-frame, a new set of details is revealed.
According to UFO researchers, this is an example of an alien flying-disk. The amazing traveling speed leaves no doubt that the saucer is of extraterrestrial origins, and the dome revealed in the first few frames because of the sun reflecting off of it adds up even more to the extraterrestrial assumption. However, analysts are trying to figure out whether the speeding object is some kind of alien drone, or a bigger device that’s being piloted by someone. Now, it could be a drone because of the explosive speed at which the object is flying, but because of the visible dome and the relatively low traveling altitude, it could prove to be driven by someone.
This isn’t an isolated case of UFO seen near an airbase. In 2014, a video showing a similar craft being chased by a Black Hawk helicopter belonging to the Aguadilla Coastguard has been declassified. In this case, the craft was pursued for a while until it had reached the ocean. There, a second ‘companion’ emerged from the water to escort the UFO, then both crafts smoothly descended into the water, unaffected by the hydrodynamic forces.
Another case of what I presume to be an alien drone surfaced from the archives of a Russian military base. The mysterious object was caught on the surveillance cameras while closely investigating the perimeter. In this case however, the UFO has a smaller size, and it is cloaked by an intense layer of brightness, making its features undistinguishable. So, is the UFO surprised over Ysterplaat Airforce Base in South Africa a drone, or is it rather a complex alien craft?
After analyzing the above mentioned cases, the object is likely to be an authentic alien craft rather than a drone. It presents a metallic design that’s glowing when exposed to sunlight, and its trajectory is not linear, facts pointing towards an artificial design, and since drones are presumably luminous and smaller in size, the speeding object is, in my opinion, an authentic alien craft. Whoever is piloting the device, and what’s it trying to obtain remains a matter of interpretation, but considering that the place of sighting is near the meeting place of three important oceans (Atlantic, Southern, and Indian Ocean,) it’s extremely possible that an underwater ET base is found nearby. Seeing the advanced capabilities of these otherworldly crafts, it’s easy to understand how they manage to stay hidden for so long.
Is it possible that the military knows of their existence? Do they have a secret pact with these otherworldly beings that are apparently residing on planet Earth? Share your thoughts!
