Physicists Made a ‘Black Hole’ in a Lab That May Finally Prove Hawking Radiation Exists

SURVIVING A BLACK HOLE
Some 42 years ago, renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking proposed that not everything that comes in contact with a black hole succumbs to its unfathomable nothingness. Tiny particles of light (photons) are sometimes ejected back out, robbing the black hole of an infinitesimal amount of energy, and this gradual loss of mass over time means every black hole eventually evaporates out of existence.
Known as Hawking radiation, these escaping particles help us make sense of one of the greatest enigmas in the known Universe, but after more than four decades, no one’s been able to actually prove they exist, and Hawking’s proposal remained firmly in hypothesis territory.
But all that could be about to change, with two independent groups of researchers reporting that they’ve found evidence to back up Hawking’s claims, and it could see one of the greatest living physicists finally win a Nobel Prize.
UNDERSTANDING THE THEORY
Let’s go back to 1974, when all of this began. Hawking had gotten into an argument with Princeton University graduate student, Jacob Bekenstein, who suggested in his PhD thesis that a black hole’s entropy – the ‘disorder’ of a system, related to its volume, energy, pressure, and temperature – was proportional to the area of its event horizon.
As Dennis Overbye explains for The New York Times, this was a problem, because according to the accepted understanding of physical laws at the time – including Hawking’s own work – the entropy and the volume of a black hole could never decrease.
Hawking investigated the claims, and soon enough, realised that he had been proven wrong. “[D]r Hawking did a prodigious calculation including quantum theory, the strange rules that govern the subatomic world, and was shocked to find particles coming away from the black hole, indicating that it was not so black after all,” Overbye writes.
Hawking proposed that the Universe is filled with ‘virtual particles’ that, according to what we know about how quantum mechanics works, blink in and out of existence and annihilate each other as soon as they come in contact – except if they happen to appear on either side of a black hole’s event horizon. Basically, one particle gets swallowed up by the black hole, and the otherradiates away into space.
The existence of Hawking radiation has answered a lot of questions about how black holes actually work, but in the process, raised a bunch of problems that physicists are still trying to reconcile.
“No result in theoretical physics has been more fundamental or influential than his discovery that black holes have entropy proportional to their surface area,”says Lee Smolin, a theoretical physicist from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Canada.
While Bekenstein received the Wolf Prize in 2012 and the American Physical Society’s Einstein prize in 2015 for his work, which The New York Times says are often precursors to the Nobel Prize, neither scientist has been awarded the most prestigious prize in science for the discovery. Bekenstein passed away last year, but Hawking is now closer than ever to seeing his hypothesis proven.
The problem? Remember when I said the escaping photons were stealing an infinitesimal amount of energy from a black hole every time they escaped? Well, unfortunately for Hawking, this radiation is so delicate, it’s practically impossible to detect it from thousands of light-years away.
A WAY FORWARD?

But physicist Jeff Steinhauer from Technion University in Haifa, Israel, thinks he’s come up with a solution – if we can’t detect Hawking radiation in actual black holes thousands of light-years away from our best instruments, why not bring the black holes to our best instruments?
As Oliver Moody reports for The Times,Steinhauer has managed to created a lab-sized ‘black hole’ made from sound, and when he kicked it into gear, he witnessed particles steal energy from its fringes.
Reporting his experiment in a paper posted to the physics pre-press website,arXiv.org, Steinhauer says he cooled helium to just above absolute zero, then churned it up so fast, it formed a ‘barrier’ through which sound should not be able to pass.
“Steinhauer said he had found signs that phonons, the very small packets of energy that make up sound waves, were leaking out of his sonic black hole just as Hawking’s equations predict they should,” Moody reports.
To be clear, the results of this experiment have not yet been peer-reviewed – that’s the point of putting everything up for the public to see on arXiv.org. They’re now being mulled over by physicists around the world, and they’re already proving controversial, but worthy of further investigation.
“The experiments are beautiful,” physicist Silke Weinfurtner from the University of Nottingham in the UK, who is running his own Earth-based experiments to try and detect Hawking radiation, told The Telegraph. “Jeff has done an amazing job, but some of the claims he makes are open to debate. This is worth discussing.”
Meanwhile, a paper published in Physical Review Letters last month has found another way to strengthen the case for Hawking radiation. Physicists Chris Adami and Kamil Bradler from the University of Ottawa describe a new technique that allows them to follow a black hole’s life over time.
That’s exciting stuff, because it means that whatever information or matter that passes over the event horizon doesn’t ‘disappear’ but is slowly leaking back out during the later stages of the black hole’s evaporation.
“To perform this calculation, we had to guess how a black hole interacts with the Hawking radiation field that surrounds it,” Adami said in a press release. “This is because there currently is no theory of quantum gravity that could suggest such an interaction. However, it appears we made a well-educated guess because our model is equivalent to Hawking’s theory in the limit of fixed, unchanging black holes.”
Both results will now need to be confirmed, but they suggest that we’re inching closer to figuring out a solution for how we can confirm or disprove the existence of Hawking radiation, and that’s good news for its namesake.
As Moody points out, Peter Higgs, who predicted the existence of the Higgs boson, had to wait 49 years for his Nobel prize, we’ll have to wait and see if Hawking ends up with his own.
Drone-racing just moved to a whole new level by combining with BCI technology, resulting in a drone race controlled solely by the mind.
A NEW KIND OF RACE
The University of Florida held a fully technology-based sport: The world’s first brain-controlled drone race. Using their brainwaves, 16 pilots flew drones through an indoor course ten yards long. Both drone-racing and brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) are not new, but this is the first combination of the two, and it’s an efficient method of introducing BCIs to the mainstream eye.
BCI is a system that translates brain signals into commands comprehensible to output devices. Most often, this technology is used to allow individuals who are paralyzed to have control of prosthetic limbs.
HOW IT WORKS
To make this possible, electroencephalogram headsets are calibrated to an individual’s brain. The calibration is pretty much like programming commands on your keyboard for a game, where you specify that certain letters move your character up, down, left, and right. Except in this case, each person’s neuron activity is used, translated, and recorded into these commands.
Human-centered computing Phd student Chris Crawford thinks making BCIs a familiar concept to the public is a good way to spread awareness of the existence and accessibility of the technology. “With events like this, we’re popularizing the use of BCI instead of it being stuck in the research lab,” he says. “BCI was a technology that was geared specifically for medical purposes, and in order to expand this to the general public, we actually have to embrace these consumer brand devices and push them to the limit.”
University of Florida sophomore Michael Lakin, 19, uses a brain-controlled interface headset to fly a drone during a mind-controlled drone race in Gainesville, Fla.
Some experts, however, fear legal, ethical, and privacy issues. For one thing, drones are also being used by the military to kill suspected terrorists in the Middle East, and they are on the lookout for similar BCI technologies.
Kit Walsh, a staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation with a degree in neuroscience from MIT thinks people should be careful of participating in such activities. “EEG readings are similar to fingerprints: once I know what the readings look like from your brain in a certain situation,” she said. “I’ll be able to recognize you by that pattern again later on.”

Unfortunately, scientists aren’t so sure that an actual intelligent alien would be so benign. In a recent interview with El País, famed physicist Stephen Hawking posited that an alien visitation would put Earthlings in the same position as Native Americans when Columbus landed on their shores.
“Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach,” Hawking speculated. [7 Huge Misconceptions About Aliens]
New research suggests we might want to widen our search for Earth-like exoplanets.
The likelihood that intelligent life is out there is up for debate; less discussed are the conditions necessary to evolve a life-form that’s both smart and nice. But the lessons from Earth suggest that intelligence and aggression might evolve hand-in-hand.
Evolving smarts
No one really knows how humans got to be so clever. What’s clear is that hominin brains began expanding wildly about 2 million years ago. (Hominins include those species after the human lineage — the genus Homo — split from the chimpanzee lineage.) By around 100,000 years ago, humans made the never-before-seen leap toinventing language. And by at least 40,000 years ago, our ancestors were making art.
“We have brains that are three times bigger than those of our closest relatives,” said Mark Flinn, an anthropologist at the University of Missouri who has researched the emergence of human intelligence. Humans have unprecedented abilities to think about each other’s thoughts and motivations, he said, to play out social scenarios in their brains and to think about the past and future.
“The general presumption is that this is just sort of a natural outcome of the evolutionary process, but that’s really giving short shrift to the very special circumstances of human evolution,” Flinn said.
Huge brains are expensive. They take an enormous number of calories to grow and function (up to 50 percent of intake in infancy and childhood, Flinn said) and make humans basically helpless for years after birth.
“Our babies are born as larvae, basically,” said David Carrier, an evolutionary biologist at the University of Utah.
Many anthropologists and evolutionary biologists have tried to pinpoint the special circumstances that make these huge brains worth the expense. Charles Darwin suggested that perhaps males developed cleverness to attract females, much as a male peacock developed showy tail feathers to prove to potential mates that he could strut his stuff. But if brains were just for sexual display, scientists would expect to see big differences between male and female intelligence — females, not having to attract mates, shouldn’t waste so much effort on their brains, much as peahens don’t waste effort on growing shiny feathers (theirs are dull and brown). And female humans are just as smart as males.
Social pressure
Would smart aliens have energy-intensive brains? Hard to say — perhaps E.T. could evolve a more efficient, yet just as clever, organ. But if aliens were sending signals into space or building rockets, they’d have to have achieved an intelligence that far exceeds what is needed to survive. [13 Ways to Hunt for Intelligent Aliens]
Humans have done the same, and researchers can’t quite figure out why. The brain could have evolved to allow humans to use tools, but chimpanzees use tools without developing complex languages, art and culture. One provocative theory holds that pathogens play a role: The brain is vulnerable to infection, wrote Hungarian researcher Lajos Rózsa in a 2008 article in the journal Medical Hypotheses. Showing off one’s cleverness may be a way of showing off how resistant one is to infection. After all, if you’re smart enough to invent language and art, you must be pretty good at battling brain parasites.
So perhaps intelligent aliens might be subject to alien parasites. Flinn and his colleagues favor another theory, though. They argue that humanity underwent a runaway cycle of brain evolution because of hominins’ social nature.
The ecological dominance-social competition hypothesis works like this: Human ancestors reached a point in which their interactions with one another were the most important factor in whether they’d survive and pass on their genes. Finding food and shelter was still important, Flinn said, but it wasn’t the main factor determining evolutionary success. The difference between clever humans and, say, caribou, is that intraspecies relationships drove evolution the fastest in humans, Flinn said. A herd of caribou has social interactions, to be sure: Males have to fight for mates, for example. But a more pressing concern would be avoiding predators and finding food. For hominins, these external issues became relatively less important, the theory goes, while their ability to form coalitions, to have empathy and to behave in such a way as to win friendships from others became key to their survival. In this heavily social context, it became very important to be smarter than the competition. Each generation got a little smarter and a little better at building complex social relationships, which created a feedback loop in which even smarter brains were beneficial.
“The thing about social competition is it’s a dynamic challenge and it’s also creative,” Flinn said. “You need to have the better mousetrap every time. The competition adjusts to the current winning model, so you need to be one better than the current winning strategy.”
The model seems to work with other clever animals, too, he added. Dolphins, orcas and chimps all form social coalitions with each other and depend on their social groups to survive. It’s possible that this social factor would hold for species on other planets, too.
The evolution of aggression
A key part of this theory is competition. Chimps form coalitions that battle against other chimps. And humans are far from peaceful. So if an alien species were to evolve intelligence, would aggression be an inevitable part of the package?
“If you can walk away from a fight and reproduce another day, you do that,” he said. “But if circumstances are such that your ability to reproduce is threatened by a competitor, in that situation it makes sense to fight.”
Environmental factors may determine whether a mate-or-die system emerges. For example, chimpanzees are a particularly homicidal (chimpacidal?) species, Carrier said. Work by primatologist Richard Wrangham at Harvard University and colleagues finds that chimp “wars” arise from a chimpanzee’s territorialism. Small groups of foraging chimps may come into contact with other chimpanzees; killing these competitors (particularly when the foragers have numbers on their side) can be beneficial by opening up access to more resources.
Deadly male-male competition is less of a way of life for bonobos, humankind’s other closest primate ancestor. Male bonobos stick by their mothers and the species is less territorial than chimpanzees. Bonobo foraging groups are also larger, perhaps because their food sources are more abundant, studies have found. Would aliens act more like bonobos or chimps? Hard to say. Researchers are even split on whether humans are more inherently aggressive or inherently peaceful.
A controversial theory holds that aggression was a driving force in human evolution. The “Killer Ape” hypothesis argues that the human ancestors who thrived were those better adapted for fighting. For example, Carrier said, modern humans can form fists, which our closest primate relatives cannot. This particular hand configuration may have evolved primarily for better manual dexterity — but it also could have come in handy as a club. Likewise, when human ancestors started walking on two legs, their face bones also evolved to be stronger and less delicate. This could be due to diet, Carrier said, but male face bones are more robust than female face bones, a sign that male-male competition could be at play. In other words, thick facial bones could be a defenseagainst the fist, a weapon that would have become available once human ancestors became bipedal.
Kind aliens
If intelligence evolves in the context of social competition, and aggression is the natural outcome of competition, it’s hard to imagine that clever aliens could also be kind. Is this the end for hopes of sweet little E.T.?
Maybe not. The social competition model doesn’t work without cooperation, after all. Humans fight, wage war and sometimes murder each other. But humans also form coalitions, care for each other and even build coalitions of coalitions, such as nation-states.
“There are two sides to our nature,” Carrier said. “It’s not that one is any more real than the other. It’s just who we are.”
Humans are unique among Earth life in forming long-lasting alliances between groups, not just individuals, Flinn said. Chimpanzees can’t pull that off, he said, so it’s not clear that aliens could, either.
“On Planet X, it may not be inevitable that social competition results in a morality and a creativity of the sort that allows these intelligent life-forms to negotiate with us for a mutually beneficial outcome,” Flinn said.
On the other hand, chimpanzees don’t explore space. Perhaps a civilization that can band together to reach for the stars has to be cooperative by definition. If that’s the case, humanity might be a greater threat to aliens than aliens are to humanity. Luckily, evolution has given humans the tools for peace.
“We can, in effect, rise above the design, potentially,” Flinn said. “If we understand what our brains are designed to do, we are going to be way more capable of rising above those tendencies that we have.”

PHOENIX — A Phoenix Sky Harbor employee said he spotted an unidentified flying object flying low above the airport while he was working in March.
According to the testimony in Case 75640 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database, the massive object flew less than 500 feet overhead.
The witness reported watching a chevron-shaped UFO fly northwest over the airport while he was “disposing of trash” at about 9 p.m. on March 1.
“The lights were what I noticed at first,” the witness said in the report. “They were white and formed a chevron shape that allowed me to notice the shape of the object. It was very large as it passed beside me. I was near the tower, so I knew it was high, but not too high as for me not to get an idea how large this object was.”
The witness said he did not feel afraid. He submitted a sketch with the report to MUFON.

“I didn’t feel anything but shock as I pondered what had just taken place,” he said.
The witness said that the light near the dumpster was out and the lights on his vehicle were turned off, so “no other light source was close enough to hamper my vision.”
He said he felt calm, with no sense of danger as the massive object flew silently above.
“Just a sense of wonder and amazement that something so huge could travel in the air and not make any noise.”
Phoenix has long been a UFO hotspot in the eyes of believers.
More than 10,000 people statewide saw what many believe was a mass UFO event on March 13, 1997, known as the Phoenix Lights.
Although airport officials told Phoenix New Times that no unusual incidents were reported on the night alleged sighting, MUFON field investigators continue to look into the matter.

Moments When a UFO Enters Warp Drive Seen on ISS Live Feed
A peculiar object appeared on the live feed of the International Space Station recently. The UFO moved in tandem with the ISS before gaining altitude and eventually disappearing into the vastness of space, leaving behind a visible beam of green light.
There are several intriguing aspects related to this sighting, and although it may not be a crystal-clear shot of an alien spaceship, the video reveals two rare (if not unique) moments. First of all, whenever such sightings occur near the station, NASA usually cuts the live transmission invoking technical difficulties. Surprisingly enough, the broadcasting remained intact this time. But was this because the UFO was nothing more than space junk, or because human error is still a characteristic thing for our species?
The second aspects involves a ray of green light that followed only moments after the bizarre UFO disappeares from line of sight. The beam appearing over the Earth is clearly visible, and numerous conspiracy theorists consider it to be related to the passing UFO.
Now, there’s a good chance that NASA resisted entering “technical difficulties” mode because the appearance wasn’t the most debatable, and it could easily be debunked as space junk or some other celestial body from our solar system. What they didn’t anticipate was the moment when the UFO entered traveling mode and inevitably left behind the green beam of light associated with warp drive – a faster than light (FTL) spacecraft propulsion system.
Hundreds of people were enjoying the view from the ISS when this happened. One of the eyewitnesses even gave a detailed description of what this moment meant for him:
“During an ISS live NASA UStream, an orb-like object appeared just above the horizon. After remaining in the same relative position for a while, it began to ascend up and out of the UStream camera lens coverage area. Once it left the screen, an energy beam shot up from the earth towards the UFO’s former location. Judging by the distance between the ISS and the location of the energy beam, the relative size of the UFO must have been enormous.”
“I am hoping that someone with technical background can determine the location from where the beam was fired based on the time of the sitting (7:25 p.m. Central European time) and the ISS live feed metering that is displayed at the bottom left of the frames in the video. The video is comprised of multiple screenshots I took during the sitting.”
After closely analyzing the video, I cannot tell if the beam of light originated from the UFO or from somewhere on Earth, but the extreme timing makes it likely to be connected in a way or another. Because the object is moving at a slightly higher speed than the ISS, together with the fact that it changes course and eventually ascends until it’s no longer seen, points towards an alien craft hypothesis. Furthermore, the brightness of the UFO insinuates that it has an artificial design made of a reflective material.
The video brings up more evidence that NASA may be in touch with other advanced species residing in the universe. If this is the case, then it could explain the massive boost in technological advancement in recent years. The possibility of certain world governments collaborating with otherworldly neighbors doesn’t seem far off after all. Whatever their plan is, and whenever they are going to reveal it to the rest of the world we are yet to find out. Hopefully, alien disclosure will happen in our lifetime.

Om het grote publiek zoet te houden rijden er een paar primitieve karretjes met een camera rond op het Mars oppervlak.
Terwijl de Bilderbergers zoals ze worden genoemd, al tientallen jaren geleden zijn begonnen met het bouwen van hun geheime ruimtevloot.
De bedenker en maker van de Amerikaanse stripserie The Simpsons, Matt Groening, heeft ondertussen een vermogen verdiend aan de strip die inmiddels al meer dan 20 jaar draait. Er worden bedragen genoemd van 500 miljoen Dollar, maar ook gaan er hardnekkige geruchten dat hij een hooggeplaatste vrijmetselaar is.
De hoofdfiguur Homer in de serie wordt dan ook op een zeker moment lid van een geheim genootschap zoals de vrijmetselaars. Alleen heet het in de cartoon dan de stonecutters.
Na zijn inwijdingsceremonie zit hij met zijn medebroeders aan tafel te feesten en te drinken. Ook wordt er een lied gezongen waarbij ze er trots op zijn dat ze zoveel in de melk te brokkelen hebben en eigenlijk alles controleren.
Iemand die goed kijkt, ziet dat er een Marsmannetje aan tafel zit, die er eigenlijk niet thuis hoort. Ook hoor je wanneer ze hun lied zingen dat ze zeggen dat ze de Marsmannetjes onder controle hebben.
Natuurlijk hebben ze Mars en alles wat zich op die planeet bevindt volledig onder controle. Ongeveer vier jaar geledenschreven wij een artikel over de geheime ruimtevloot, waarvan navolgend een deel:
Aan het eind van de Tweede Wereldoorlog verzamelden zowel de Russen als de Amerikanen niet alleen de wetenschappers die werkten aan conventionele raketten, maar ook de vliegende schotel wetenschappers samen met veel van hun uitrusting, om tegelijkertijd zowel een conventioneel als een niet conventioneel ruimteprogramma te kunnen beginnen.
Het duurde niet zolang voordat de conventionele aandrijving begin jaren '60 overbodig werd. De aanwezige raketprogramma’s waren niets meer dan een dure propaganda-operatie voor publieke consumptie, om een fantasieverhaal levend te houden, een die al heel snel sterk afweek van het werkelijke verhaal.
Het geheime ruimteprogramma kwam onder de toenemende invloed van de wereldelite die georganiseerd was in de Bilderbergconferentie, een groep van machtige industriëlen, bankiers en Europese koninklijke families.
Het legerproject uit 1959, Project Horizon, werd in het geheim ingevoerd om zowel bases op de Maan als op Mars te bouwen. Volgens een aantal betrouwbare klokkenluiders worden deze bases gebruikt en onderhouden door de Bilderbergvloot.
Uit een vrijgegeven document van Wright Patterson kunnen we zien dat men in 1956 al bezig was met het plaatsen van nucleaire aandrijving in schotels. De senior wetenschapper van Lockheed, Boyd Bushman, liet in een interview in 1959 technische tekeningen zien van een operationele vliegende schotel, aangedreven door een nucleaire centrale.
Een technicus uit Area 51, Bill Uhouse, claimde dat hij al vroeg in de jaren '60 samengewerkt heeft met een Grey Alien in vliegende schotel simulators waarin piloten leerden vliegen met deze objecten.
In dezelfde tijdsperiode werkte een luchtmacht technicus, Charles Hall, bij Nellis en had contact met de Tall White Extraterrestrials (Grote Witte Buitenaardsen). Zij lieten hem een TW shuttle schotel van binnen zien waarmee je naar de Maan en naar Mars kon reizen, maar niet dieper de ruimte in. Deze schotel had logo’s van alle grote lucht- en ruimtevaartbedrijven in het interieur van de schotel.
Er was een ongeluk met een door kernenergie aangedreven schotel in 1980 waarbij een lekkage ontstond in een reactorvat. Terwijl de schotel was omringd door drie militaire helikopters kregen drie personen de volle laag straling over zich heen. Deze zaak is uiteindelijk tot in het Congres gekomen, zonder enige vorm van compensatie voor de slachtoffers.
Ongeveer 10 jaar geleden slaagde de Engelsman Gary McKinnon erin om de computers van NASA te hacken en ontdekte de code naam “Solar Warden” en roosters voor alle buitenaardse officieren en lijsten met rompnummers van de grote ruimteschepen, groter dan twee voetbalvelden, en hun kleinere beschermers. Maar, vier jaar voordat McKinnon zijn ontdekking deed werd er op het Open Mind Forum al gesproken over Solar Warden en ook dat de Bilderbergers eigenaar zouden zijn van die bewuste ruimtevloot.
Alle bestaande ruimteprogramma’s dienen om de bevolking zand in de ogen te strooien. De Solar Warden vloot bestond in 2005 uit acht grote ruimteschepen, vergelijkbaar met vliegkampschepen, en 43 “beschermers”, wat natuurlijk ook ruimteschepen zijn.
Voor het publiek is er een soort ruimteprogramma voor dummies, waarbij een paar primitieve karretjes door het Marslandschap tuffen en foto’s maken, waarop regelmatig dingen voorkomen die volgens het script niet kunnen.
Uiteraard zijn er complete militaire bases op Mars en daardoor kom je regelmatig zaken tegen die thuis horen in een militaire omgeving zoals je kunt zien aan een aantal recente ontdekkingen in de volgende video.
Naast voorwerpen wordt het natuurlijk ook steeds moeilijker om constructies zoals gebouwen buiten beeld te houden. Of een toren zoals in de volgende ontdekking enkele dagen geleden.

Volgens alien-jagers is er leven op Venus. In een 20 minuten durend filmpje op YouTube analyseert mundodesconocido foto’s die door NASA-sonde Magellan van de planeet zijn gemaakt. Dat meldt FoxNews.
Van een aantal objecten die hij ontdekte, heeft hij een 3D-model gemaakt. Onder de video schrijft mundodesconocido dat de afbeeldingen ‘enorme steden en kunstmatige structuren tonen die lijken te zijn gebouwd door een buitenaards ras dat de tweede planeet in ons zonnestelsel heeft bewoond of gekoloniseerd’.
Magellan werd op 4 mei 1989 gelanceerd en kwam op 10 augustus 1990 aan bij Venus. De ruimtesonde bracht het planeetoppervlak nauwkeurig in kaart met behulp van radar. Het was de opvolger van de Pioneer Venus.
Hoewel Venus ook wel de ‘tweelingzuster’ of ‘zusterplaneet’ van de aarde wordt genoemd, komt er volgens de NASA in tegenstelling tot de aarde geen platentektoniek voor op de planeet. Magellan onthulde ook dat tenminste 85 procent van het oppervlak van Venus is bedekt met vulkanen. De gemiddelde temperatuur is er zo’n 480 graden Celcius.
Op 13 oktober 1994 verbrandde Magellan in de Venusiaanse dampkring.

As most people may already know, Hillary Clinton has been in New York on Monday for her presidential campaign. While visiting East Harlem, she had an interview with the Power 105.1 Breakfast Club. One of the hosts suspects aliens may have been abducted him. He asked Hillary if she was indeed serious about telling the truth on UFOs. Hillary answered positively.
Clinton has confirmed many times in her previous interviews that she will try to declassify files on UFOs if elected as president. However, she made it clear she did not want to release any records that were kept secret due to national security.
While she isn’t sure about extraterrestrial UFOs, Clinton does think that some stories about the subject are true. She believes that people see things, but what they see, she doesn’t know. Clinton believes that the government should try to give people information.
Clinton just keeps discussing UFOs when asked and this attitude has caused a lot of debates. Typical politicians usually not serious about the subject and some even make a joke of it. However, Hillary has repeatedly answered questions about it confidently and promised to look into the issue. Former President Bill Clinton, her husband, had said that he looked into the matter and did not find anything.
Some think that Hillary has no interest in UFOs and just want to get the votes from UFO believers. The National Geographic survey in 2012 showed that 36 percent of Americans think that ETs have visited Earth, and 80 percent believe the U.S. government kept the truth secret from the public.
Het meer zou zo’n 100 bij 10 kilometer groot zijn en is daarmee maar ietsje kleiner dan het beroemde Vostokmeer: het grootste meer dat onder het ijs van Antarctica verstopt zit.
Wetenschappers kwamen het meer op het spoor toen ze satellietbeelden van het oostelijke deel van Antarctica bekeken. Op de beelden was te zien dat in het ijs groeven zaten die wel vaker boven subglaciale meren worden aangetroffen. In januari concludeerden onderzoekers al dat hier een 1000 kilometer lange vallei onder het ijs verborgen moet zitten. Toen al vermoedden onderzoekers dat de vallei verbonden was met een nog onontdekt subglaciaal meer.
Meer En tijdens een bijeenkomst van de European Geosciences Union heeft onderzoeker Martin Siegert nu laten weten sterke aanwijzingen te hebben dat er inderdaad een nog onontdekt meer onder het ijs verborgen zit. Het meer zou zo’n 100 bij 10 kilometer groot zijn en is daarmee maar ietsje kleiner dan het grootste subglaciale meer van Antarctica: het Vostokmeer.

Radar Siegert benadrukt dat het bestaan van het meer nog bevestigd moet worden. Om dat te kunnen doen, moeten radargolven door het ijs worden gejaagd. Siegert vertelt aan Scientias.nl dat een internationaal team van onderzoekers de benodigde gegevens recent heeft verzameld. “We zullen deze binnenkort gaan bestuderen.”
Verstopt Als er daadwerkelijk een meer onder het ijs zit, heeft het zich heel lang voor ons verborgen weten te houden. Toch is dat niet zo gek, vertelt Siegert. “Voor we dit onderzoek deden, wisten we niets over dit gebied.” Wachten ons in de toekomst nog meer van dit soort grote ontdekkingen op Antarctica? Siegert denkt van niet. “Dit is het laatste onverkende gebied.”
Wat bevindt zich onder het ijs van Antarctica? We krijgen er een steeds beter beeld van. Maar op deze afbeelding is goed te zien dat Princes Elizabeth Land (waar het vermoedelijke meer zich bevindt) nog onontgonnen gebied is.

Vostokmeer en leven Wetenschappers zijn zeer geïnteresseerd in subglaciale meren op Antarctica. Ze zijn vaak bedekt met kilometers ijs en al vele millennia van de buitenwereld afgesloten. Maar onderzoek naar het Vostokmeer heeft al aangetoond dat dat niet wil zeggen dat er in deze meren geen leven mogelijk is. In het Vostokmeer zijn bijvoorbeeld tal van organismen aangetroffen. Het vertelt ons dat het leven op aarde veel meer kan hebben dan gedacht en dat heeft ook weer implicaties voor het leven op andere hemellichamen, bijvoorbeeld op de maan Enceladus die beschikt over een wereldwijde oceaan die bedekt is met een dikke laag ijs.
Het is niet ondenkbaar dat er ook in het meer dat onderzoekers nu denken ontdekt te hebben, leven is. Zodra het bestaan van het meer bevestigd is, is het volgens Siegert dan ook heel aannemelijk dat de jacht op eventueel leven in dat meer geopend wordt.

Europese wetenschappers hebben beelden gepubliceerden van stervormingsgebieden in de Melkweg. De foto’s zijn gemaakt door de Herschel-telescoop, die in 2013 zijn laatste adem uitblies.
De foto’s zijn in de periode van 2009 tot 2013 gemaakt op ver-infrarode en submillimetergolflengten. Hierdoor zijn de koudste objecten in het heelal zichtbaar, zoals kosmisch stof. Dit kosmische stof maakt deel uit van het interstellaire materiaal, waaruit nieuwe sterren worden geboren. Kortom: op de nieuwe beelden zie je sterren geboren worden.
De foto’s zijn gemaakt in het kader van de Herschel Infrared Galactic Plane Survey, een onderzoek waarvoor de telescoop uiteindelijk 900 uur is gebruikt. In totaal is twee procent van de gehele hemel in kaart gebracht, waaronder een groot deel van de volledige schijf van de Melkweg. Hier huizen immers de meeste jonge sterren die vanaf de aarde te zien zijn.
De onderstaande beelden liegen er niet om. Er zijn gaspilaren zichtbaar met knopen van gas en stof. In deze gloeiende knopen ontstaan nieuwe sterren. “Deze foto’s zijn niet alleen fantastisch om te zien, maar vormen ook een rijke databron voor astronomen om de verschillende stervormingsfases in ons sterrenstelsel te bestuderen”, legt onderzoeker Sergio Molinari uit.

Op deze foto heeft Herschel zijn ogen gericht op het centrum van de Melkweg. Een drukke bedoeling!

De ruwe data zijn te downloaden via het zogenoemde ESA Herschel wetenschappelijke archief. Het gaat hier om in totaal zeventig kaarten. Eind dit jaar kunnen onderzoekers een tweede bundel met gegevens verwachten.
Het is slim van de Europese ruimtevaartorganisatie om niet alleen de ruwe gegevens, maar ook de foto’s bij te voegen. Hierdoor zijn de interessante objecten direct zichtbaar. “Astronomen kunnen vervolgens objecten kiezen, die nader bestudeerd moeten worden”, zegt projectwetenschapper Göran Pilbratt.

Toen het mysterieuze object op de bodem van de Oostzee voor het eerst werd gespot, stonden veel experts voor een raadsel. Tot op de dag van vandaag weet niemand wat het precies is.
Het object doet denken aan een ruimteschip uit een Star Wars-film. Het is in 2011 ontdekt door de Zweedse schatzoekers Peter Lindberg en Dennis Asberg. Duikers die de structuur van dichtbij probeerden te bekijken zeiden dat hun apparatuur uitviel.
Duiker Stefan Hogerborn zei: “Alle elektrische apparaten, inclusief de satelliettelefoon, vielen uit toen we ons recht boven het object bevonden. Zo’n 200 meter bij het object vandaan deed de apparatuur het wel, maar toen we teruggingen viel alles weer uit.”
Niet in de natuur
Veel media besteedden aandacht aan het 60 meter brede en acht meter hoge cirkelvormige object. Volgens sommigen was het een reusachtige paddenstoel. Anderen dachten aan een gezonken Russisch schip of een buitenaards ruimteschip.
Geoloog Steve Weiner concludeerde op basis van monsters die door duikers waren verzameld dat het geen natuurlijke formatie kon zijn. Na analyse van de fragmenten zei hij dat de materialen bestonden uit ‘metalen die niet in de natuur voorkomen’.
UFO
Sommige experts denken dat het een onderdeel is van een oorlogsschip, terwijl anderen menen dat het om een UFO gaat. Hoogleraar geologie Volker Bruchert van de Universiteit van Stockholm zei: “Mijn hypothese is dat dit object, deze structuur, duizenden jaren geleden is gevormd tijdens de IJstijd.”
Maar Lindberg en Asberg zeiden dat de monsters die ze hebben laten analyseren, niet van het object zelf afkomstig zijn, maar uit de omgeving van het object. Het begint erop te lijken dat niemand verder onderzoek naar het object in de Oostzee wil financieren. Het blijft dus de vraag wat daar verborgen ligt.

Op een aantal plaatsen langs de kustlijn tussen Los Angeles en voorbij de Mexicaanse grens is er enkele dagen geleden een merkwaardig grote UFO gesignaleerd.
Voor de kust van Los Angeles zijn er sporen ontdekt van een buitenaardse onderwater basis en onder de stad schijnt zich een Reptielenstad te bevinden.
Steeds vaker worden verbanden tussen ogenschijnlijk separate gebeurtenissen zichtbaar. Ook nu.
Er is de laatste tijd opmerkelijk veel publiciteit rondom de Anunnaki god Marduk en uiteraard ook de planeet Nibiru.
Volgens de legende is Marduk een Anunnaki (Anakem of Nephilim), een Luceferiaans duivels wezen die tevens de vertegenwoordiger is van de inter-dimensionale zwarte planeet Nibiru, het hemellichaam wat niet zichtbaar is voor astronomen.
In de vorige afleveringen heb ik voorzichtig enkele profielen geschetst van de Anunnaki. Van hun uiterlijk... en kom ik tot de conclusie dat deze wezens, anders dan Zecharia Sitchin meent en aanneemt, minder menselijk zijn en meer reptielachtig.
In 2013 schreven wij een artikel over hoe er al tientallen jaren geruchten de ronde doen over een Reptielenstad onder Los Angeles.
Een stukje uit dat eerdere artikel:
In The Los Angeles Times van 29 januari 1934 stond het fascinerende verhaal van mijn-ingenieur Warren Shufelt.
Er was hem een verhaal verteld door een wijze oude Hopi Indiaan over een ondergrondse reptielenstad vol met schatten.
Shufelt had deze stad weten te lokaliseren door middel van Röntgenstralen en was op dat moment, in januari 1934, bezig met het aanbrengen van schachten om deze stad te kunnen bereiken.
Zo zag het artikel in de krant er uit op die dag in 1934:
Wat wel leuk is en niets met het verhaal als zodanig te maken heeft is dat de eindredactie van de L.A. Times op die dag goed heeft zitten slapen, want er zit een behoorlijke spelfout in het woord “people” in de titel.
Terug naar het echte verhaal. Een interessant gegeven wat misschien ook in onze huidige tijd relevant is is dat de legende waarop het onderzoek van Shufelt was gebaseerd, zegt dat er door de Reptielenmensen ongeveer vier- tot vijfduizend jaar geleden een ondergrondse stad was gegraven na “de grote ramp” die de aarde destijds had getroffen.
Deze zou hebben plaatsgevonden in de vorm van een “grote tong van vuur” die uit het Zuid Westen kwam en die alles wat op haar pad kwam vernietigde. Hierna besloot men om een ondergrondse stad te bouwen om aan toekomstige gebeurtenissen zoals deze te kunnen ontsnappen.
Zo is er een serieuze wetenschappelijke theorie die stelt dat er in het verleden een inslag is geweest van een meteoor die een geweldig vuur/brand in de atmosfeer tot gevolg had. Dit strekte zich uit van Californië tot Europa waardoor een groot deel van het ijs op het Noordelijk Halfrond smolt en in de oceanen terechtkwam. Het gevolg hiervan was dat de gehele waterstromen op aarde uit balans raakten wat weer heftige klimaatveranderingen veroorzaakte (ijstijd).
De legende gaat verder over hoe deze reptielmensen krachtige chemicaliën gebruikten om een netwerk van ondergrondse tunnels en ruimten te maken in plaats van deze te moeten graven. Ze werden aangelegd op hogere en lagere niveaus. De lagere tunnels kwamen uit bij de oceaan en middels eb en vloed kwam daar dagelijks water waardoor automatisch verse lucht naar de hogere tunnels werd gestuwd.
En verder:
De legende van de Hopi Indiaan schijnt in ieder geval te wijzen op een echt gebeurde ramp in het verleden. Werden deze inslagen van meteroren veroorzaakt door een vorige passage van Nibiru? Ook nu zijn er veel aanwijzingen dat deze Red Kachina (planeet X, Nibiru) wederom in de buurt is en hebben we te maken met een sterke toename van het aantal objecten uit de ruimte.
Een jaar na bovenstaand artikel schrijven wij over een bizarre onderwaterbasis die wordt ontdekt voor de kust van Los Angeles.
Onlangs werd er via een het Amerikaanse radiostation, Dark Matter Radio, een bizarre ontdekking bekend gemaakt.
Het betreft een gigantische onderwater ingang net voor de kust van Malibu bij wat men noemt Point Dume. Het is een soort plateaustructuur van ongeveer 2,2 bij 4 kilometer. Het bevindt zich op een afstand van precies 6,66 mijl (10,7 kilometer) vanaf de kust.
De breedte tussen de pilaren is 837 meter en de hoogte daarvan is 192 meter. Het dak van het plateau is 150 meter dik en lijkt zelfs bestand tegen nucleaire explosies. Het geheel bevindt zich op een diepte van 450 meter onder water.
De streek rond Malibu is al jarenlang een “hotspot” voor ufo’s en ook al jarenlang doen er verhalen de ronde over een ondergrondse buitenaardse basis voor de kust. Is dit dan misschien eindelijk de oplossing voor dit raadsel? De ingang is groot genoeg voor grote ruimteschepen en eventueel ook nucleaire onderzeeërs.
Al vanaf de jaren vijftig worden er met grote regelmaat ufo’s waargenomen in dit deel van Californië. In de jaren zeventig was het de gewoonte van veel gezinnen om als uitje naar Point Dume te gaan om daar de veelkleurige ufo’s onder water te zien verdwijnen.
Afgelopen week wordt op diverse plaatsen langs de kust een zeer grote merkwaardige UFO waargenomen.
Dit gebeurt zowel in het Amerikaanse San Diego als het Mexicaanse Tijuana en wel op dezelfde dag, in de avond van 18 april 2016.
Om even een idee te geven hoe het er daar ook alweer uitziet, navolgend een kaart met daarop Los Angeles, San Diego en Tijuana.
In beide plaatsen zagen mensen ongetwijfeld hetzelfde object. In eerste instanties lijkt het op meerdere UFO’s, maar bij nader onderzoek blijkt het om één schip te gaan.
De eerste afbeelding laat zien hoe de mensen in Mexico het object zagen en de tweede die in San Diego.
Hieronder volgen de twee video -opnames, de eerste uit Tijuana en de tweede uit San Diego.
Wanneer je een beetje luistert naar de mensen in de achtergrond en je ziet dit enorme object hangen, laag boven het water, dan krijg je een beetje het Independence Day gevoel.
In de tweede video krijg je pas een indruk hoe groot dit object is, wanneer je ook een vliegtuig hoog in de lucht ziet.
Nibiru en de Anunnaki die er waarschijnlijk uitzien als Reptielen, gecombineerd met de Reptielenstad en de ondergrondse tunnels die leiden naar de oceaan met daarin iets wat lijkt op enorme onderwaterbasis.
Vervolgens op ongeveer dezelfde locatie verschijnt een enorm (ruimte)schip dat in verschillende steden en zelfs landen wordt waargenomen.

Had sensing to take dog outside– had to wake him. Seems craft would have been right over me at that time. Rectangular with 10 lights in 2 columns of 2 -front 2 white blinking didn’t appear to be strobe, and other 8 multi colors strady on blue, red, yellow, green …?? While trying to determine if 8 or 10 lights, another craft appeared also rectangular but only 8 lights not multi colored but would go totally black for several seconds – only saw it 2x. Travelling WNW from MIA? Into/across wind, flying too fast for blimps ( such as if lit up underneath) too slow for normal jets… Not enough sound ( if any) for choppers flying any panels of lights to someplace ( direction Eglin?) No “wingtip lights” of red/ green” unable to determine altitude due to unknown actual size. But if ‘ usual’ plane altitude after TO 2 mile ‘down range’ less than 2 mi alt. perhaps? At one point I thought I saw a large light grey disk above it(attached) 3x size of rectangular light ‘panel’ but could be trick of mind/eye as low clouds were moving in and moon light subdued. Called someone immediately who knows ac had worked avionics 40 years and he had no idea. Tweeted later if anyone had seen it also but no replies.
New runway has caused many ac to fly right over at low altitudes for many months. Jets fly low after buzzing sunlife stadium, blimps for games often around..Am close to smaller ap where planes dive in and out picking up dropping banners– but never at night. (North Perry) Used to live ‘at’ HAFB and saw low flying stealth before made public ( it was viewing downrange flight of shuttle liftoff at night) .10 yrs CAP-USAF scanner. Never seen anything like this. Only photoes by iphone are garbage but show squarish blobs of light.

Whilst operating a commercial flight from eastern Mediteranean to UK cruising at 36000′ heading approx 300* over Bulgaria we saw what we initially thought was a satellite moving left to right just under the constelation Canis Minor. It was too slow for a meteor. It initially appeared as bright as the ISS, but quickly faded as it moved horizontally to the right, and faded from view before passing under the right star of Canis Minor. So we thought it was just a satellite and nothing at all unusal. However about 10 minutes later it appeared in exactly the same place and did exactly the same thing again, another satellite perhaps…a real coincidence! Shortly after that there was a bright white flash lower down under Canis Minor, it came and went in a split second. This was not a coincidence so we started to monitor that part of the sky closely and sure enough it reappeared in the same place and followed the same path again. As the occurances continued regularly at about 10 minute intervals it became fainter, however on about the fourth pass another bright short flash appeared underneath and to the right of the object. We observed about six passes before it was too faint to see, or had moved away. What WASN’T it? Not a satellite, although of a similar speed, but repetetive. Not a weather balloon, probably the right height, but too fast and repetetive. Not a commercial aircraft, no nav lights, no strobes nor beacon, and FAR too high. The only thing that makes any sense is an ultra high (military) aircraft flying extremely fast in a race track pattern getting further away from us. BUT this would not explain the two HI flashes. Three of us witnessed this from the flight deck, we were baffled, I have never seen anything like this in 20 years of commercial flying.

My name is David, I am a skywatcher from Taylors Hill, Victoria, Australia. I would like to share with you one of my recent captures of a Polymorphic UFO that was captured from a viewing platform in my backyard. The object was filmed at 2.50pm on the 24th of April 2016 for one hour. The object was first detected at an elevation of approximately 75 degrees north-east of my location, and roughly 120 degrees opposite the sun. The footage was filmed in 4k resolution with a Panasonic Lumix GH4 paired with a spotting scope at 60x magnification.
Robert Hastings joined George Knapp to discuss UFO incursions at nuclear weapons sites. His new film UFOs and Nukes, The Secret Link Revealed features interviews with US Air Force veterans who were involved in incidents which confirm that unidentified flying objects seem to be able to monitor and even control nuclear weapons. Hastings says the film (and his book) feature “anecdotal evidence from very persuasive sources.” The cases have continued for decades, up to the present day. Hastings’ father was in the Air Force and when he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in North Dakota in the 1960s, there were rumors of UFOs hovering over the area. He believes that whatever intelligence is behind the incursions may be essentially asking leading governments if it is wise to continue to possess nuclear weapons.
A man driving along a dirt road at Malvern in Arkansas had a close encounter with a silent UFO more than 150 feet wide on December 15, 2015, approximately an hour before sundown.
The UFO was reportedly hovering low – just above the trees – and passing his destination. He observed it for 30 seconds but did not stop driving out of fear.
The object had strange bright blue lights that were pointed straight at the witness like two square eyes. The witness thought right there that it could see him.
As the witness got closer to the UFO, the treeline blocked his view or perhaps the view of the entity inside the UFO too. After about an hour, he noticed afterburners of a military fighter jet going south without lights.
He estimated the UFO to be between 150 and 200 feet wide. The witness wasn’t sure how long the UFO hovered there.
The witness reported his close encounter to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and it can be accessed in Case 75545 of the network’s witness reporting database.
