This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

MUFON's mission is the analytical and scientific investigation of the UFO- Phenomenon for the benefit of humanity... Since 02/01/2020 is Pieter ex-president (=voorzitter) of BUFON, but also ex-National Director MUFON / Flanders and the Netherlands. We work together with the French MUFON Reseau MUFON/EUROP.

Six Reasons Why We Might Be Aliens

    Are humans actually aliens?

Is it possible that mankind was brought to Earth as part of an alien experiment on evolution?

The following list outlines reasons why humans may not be native to this planet, and may have been brought here by an extraterrestrial race who escaped a destroyed world.

    1. Sunlight

Humans, in contrast with other species, cannot sunbath for more than a given time per day without getting sunburned. This indicates that the human body was not designed for constant exposure to the sun. The same can be said for our eyes, our eyes are very sensitive to the sunlight around us and without being taught safe procedures, our eyes would be damaged at an early age.

    2. Bad backs

The problems that mankind faces with back/spine problems are a clear indication that our bodies are not built so perfectly as the natural world would lead us to believe. It could bode questions that our original environment (for humans) may not have been surrounded by such heavy gravity. Earth’s heavier gravity puts strain on the skeleton and the result could be the reason our bodies suffer from such pains, we are used to an atmosphere that is lighter then this one.

    3. Illnesses

Illness strikes us all, some scientists have debated that our bodies get weak because our bodies are set to a 25 hour per day environment instead of 24 as on Earth, and we have not adapted yet. The older theories add to this concept than in many cases, when there is an illness, humans are disabled and cannot carry out their workload, which rarely occurs in the other species.

    4. Growing up

In all species that inhabit the Earth, the offspring is capable of doing things in a relatively short time, which may vary from just a few minutes to eight weeks after birth. Sharks swimming at birth and birds flying in roughly 30 days of hatching. Human offspring however is completely helpless and powerless to do anything for itself for a very long time, only acquiring simple basic capabilities. It takes around 5 to 10 years (depending on the child and environment) before it can perform the duties and the requirements of carrying their weight around. Something that is never seen in all other species put together.

    5. Advances

The human being does something that no other species has been observed doing – humans use external ways to overcome his physical shortcomings. Handicapped at birth and use anything and everything to keep our degrading health up to scratch.

    6. Behaviour

Lions and the other carnivores will hunt to eat and they will engage in fights almost always for reasons of reproduction. Most fights in the animal kingdom are actually for reproduction and areas for feeding. And whenever there is a fight, when the victor is declared, the fight is over. There is no observance in any other species than the human being for retaliatory attacks, pre-emptive strikes, and most of all weapon construction in ever increasing lethal potential. Unless anyone has ever seen a mouse with an M-16 at hand and never bothered to inform anyone about it.

Now those are just a few instances. I will leave judgement of said points to your own views, however I will end with this.

Mankind was brought here as part of an alien experiment in evolution.

Mankind landed on Earth on starships that escaped a destroyed world.

Considering Mars has a 25 hour day circle, less gravity and less sun. Maybe we came from there?

The surface gravity on Mars is only about 38% of the surface gravity on Earth, so if you weigh 100 pounds on Earth, you would weigh only 38 pounds on Mars.

    Maybe God was an astronaut?

High-profile hacker Gary McKinnon claims to have some interesting information about the US Navy’s intergalactic operation – there is a top-secret fleet of “eight to ten” war ships in space, with around 25 “Non-terrestrial officers” on their books.

Gary McKinnon is a British lifelong ufologist and computer expert, whose 2002 arrest for hacking into the US Navy and NASA systems was described as the ‘biggest military computer hack of all time.’

McKinnon claimed NASA’s security was so lax back then, he didn’t expect to get caught. He used a program called Landsearch to scan documents and files to look for UFO cover-ups, and he did so undetected for two years before he got caught. President Bush wanted him behind bars. McKinnon faced an intense ten year legal battle in the UK, only narrowly avoiding extradition to the USA.

He has spoken before about exactly what he discovered during his time scanning NASA’s documents and files, but never in as much detail as in this interview with RichPlanet TV.

    McKinnon claims:

    • In Building 8 at Johnson Space Center, Houston, there is someone whose full time job is to airbrush UFOs from images, since they are so commonly captured.
    • He found a US Navy spreadsheet entitled ‘Non-terrestrial officers’. McKinnon admits these words “can be interpreted in various ways,” but one thing is for sure: given the name, we know they’re not based on Earth.
    • McKinnon says there were maybe 25 rows on the excel spreadsheet with officers’ ranks and names, and that the ships had the prefix ‘USS’ just like American sea vessels.
    • He claims there is evidence of “material transfer between ships”, of which he says there are “possibly eight to ten.

McKinnon believes all of this evidence suggests that the US has a fleet of warships in space, which might account for why the Bush administration were so keen to have him incarcerated in the States.

In parts 2, 3 and 4 (below), McKinnon expands on the information shared in this first part (and gives his reasons for not believing in the moon landings, among other things).

Many might be quick to label McKinnon a quack or a liar, but in this interview his body language doesn’t suggest he’s making anything up: in fact, during the course of the four-part interview, his story is remarkably insightful and consistent.

    The Argument Against Calling Aliens

    SETI Institute's Allen Telescope Array.

Photo courtesy of Seth Shostak/SETI Institute

For the astronomers tasked with finding intelligent life elsewhere in the solar system, one of the most vexing questions is why ET is being so quiet. The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) began in 1960 when astronomer Frank Drake spent 3 months scanning the cosmos for life, but in the 50-odd years since Drake’s initial experiment, SETI astronomers have yet to find any convincing evidence that we are not alone.

The disappointment this lack of results has led to the creation of a controversial wing of SETI research known as METI (Messaging to Extraterrestrial Intelligences) or Active SETI. The basic idea here is that if the aliens aren’t going to call us, we’ll call them instead.

Although a handful of messages have intentionally been sent out into the cosmos over the last half-century, ranging from 8-bit drawings to the entirety of Craigslist, most SETI research institutions do not fund active SETI projects. Moreover, in February of 2015, a number of leading SETI scientists published a letter listing the perils of METI and calling for a global consensus before any sort of message is sent on behalf of spaceship Earth.

The researcher’s concerns are well founded: as detailed in a paper posted to arxiv last week, a critical analysis of the leading arguments for and against METI found that the project is probably not a good idea, going so far as to call METI “unscientific and potentially catastrophic.”

Authored by John Gertz, President of the Foundation for Investing in Research on SETI Science and Technology and chairman at the SETI Institute, the paper begins by outlining the main arguments in favor of METI. In the first place, there’s the fact that all non-active SETI projects to date have failed to find evidence of intelligence elsewhere in the universe, which suggests that it might be time to try a new approach. Then there’s the argument that Earth has already been leaking radio waves into space for decades, potentially broadcasting our position to extraterrestrial intelligences. If we’ve already blown our cover, the thinking goes, there’s no harm in focusing our transmissions in a more organized search.

Yet as Gertz points out, there are a number of problems with the METI-ists arguments. In the first place, we don’t know anything about the alien civilizations we are contacting—perhaps we are saying hello to a hyperviolent and superintelligent alien race. If the history of our own planet has taught us anything, the contact between two civilizations when one is technologically advanced and the other comparatively primitive usually results in the extermination of the latter, so perhaps it’s best to wait and listen.

The most forceful argument in favor of METI, that we’ve already blown our cover by leaking radio waves into space, was ironically disproven by SETI Institute chief astronomer Seth Shostak, who is skeptical about the danger posed by active SETI. As Shostak has pointed out, the leakage from terrestrial radio transmissions would be so faint that it would be essentially impossible for an alien civilization to detect them from the interstellar distances where SETI researchers are looking for life.

Finally, there’s the issue of who gets to speak on behalf of Earth and what they get to say. Although the International Academy of Astronautics has drafted a protocolforbidding sending messages into outer space, it is not enforceable by law, so anyone with access to a radio telescope can say whatever they want to the universe without any legal repercussions.

Gertz argues that because of the large number of unknowns about who we’re contacting, the huge stakes involved in contact (namely, the existence of humanity), and the haphazard method of going about sending messages, the METI enterprise remains “unscientific and potentially catastrophic.”

So for the time being it appears most SETI astronomers are in agreement that trying to contact aliens is probably a pretty bad idea, although it’s still one worth thinking about. Due to recent donation boosts for SETI, Shostak has predicted we may hear from aliens inside of 20 years, and if he’s right, the question of what to say in reply may ultimately become the question of our generation.

Harvard scientists say advanced Alien civilizations could inhabit ancient solar systems on edge of galaxy

Harvard scientists believe that advanced Alien civilizations could inhabit ancient solar systems on the edge of our galaxy

According to interesting statements from a team of Harvard scientists, aliens could inhabit the ancient solar system located on the edge of our galaxy. There, according to Harvard researchers, the clusters have the potential to support life, which could be as much as billions of years more advanced than we are today.

Experts believe that so-called ‘Globular Clusters’ which are something like a dense sphere of ancient stars located at the outermost edge of our galaxy could be the best place where we should be looking for alien civilizations.

Dr Rosanne Di Stefano believes that there are numerous reasons why the distant regions of our galaxy might be extremely favorable locations to search for intelligent lifeforms.

According to Di Stefano, one of those reasons is the age. The Globular clusters located in the outermost regions of our galaxy, extending beyond the Catherine wheel arms of our Milky Way, contain stars which according to researchers could have an estimated age of at least 10 billion years, a very big time period for life to evolve to advanced levels.

Another favorable reason according to experts is the relatively close distance between the stars. This means that it takes about a month (Earth) for light waves to make it across the distances of neighbouring stars in one of the many clusters.

Comparing it to our nearby distances, the nearest star to the Earth is 4.2 light years away.

“It would also be easier for a civilisation to explore and even set up outposts on other worlds,” according to Dr Di Stefano, from the Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics in Cambridge, US.

Our Sun is around 4.6 Billion years old, which means that if there are civilizations located in these globular clusters, they could be billions of years more advanced than we are today.

The only exoplanet so far discovered by researchers and located in globular clusters known as M4 in the Scorpius constellation is nicknamed Methuselah. The planet is believed to orbit a binary system of a pulsar and a white dwarf. The estimated age of Methuselah is believed to be 12.7 Billion years, making it the OLDEST exoplanet discovered on record.

Writing in the  BBC’s Sky At Night magazine, Dr Di Stefano said: “It would be strange if there were not many others.

“Of course, this is all conjecture. We don’t know whether there is alien life in such clusters.

“But globular clusters would be a good place to look and might be the first place where intelligent life is identified in our galaxy.”

But, not everything is perfect for life evolving in globular clusters at the edges of the galaxy. Researchers point to possible drawbacks such as the stars could get too close to one another and disrupt each others planetary system, something that could be catastrophic for the evolution of life. However, Dr Di Stefano conducted research which points to the fact that this danger does not exist.

She wrote: “What we’ve found is the opposite, that it’s possible for many habitable-zone planets to survive for billions of years.”

A mysterious repeating ‘alien’ signal has researchers baffled

Alien Message? Mysterious signal from ‘powerful exotic object’ spotted repeatedly coming from the same place in the universe

Is it possible that Intelligent Alien Civilizations are trying to send us a message? Astronomers have detected a mysterious signal from ‘powerful exotic object’ spotted repeatedly coming from the same place in the universe

    12

When astronomers received the first signals in the past, they believed them to be radio bursts caused by one off cosmic events. But now, astronomers have detected a signal repeatedly coming from the same location. This changes everything astronomers previously thought about the radio bursts as there may be something ‘else’ producing the fast radio bursts.

In the past, astronomers believed that fast radio bursts may have been produced by ‘cataclysmic’ events that eventually destroyed their sources, like a star exploding in a supernova or a neutron star collapsing into a black hole.

But the new study published in the Journal nature indicates that this might not be the case and that it is very likely that the fast radio bursts have another, more permanent origin.

Prior to the new discovery, astronomers believed that the fast radio bursts were one-time events, occurring during cataclysmic events, like when their source – a star exploding in a supernova, for example, or a neutron star collapsing into a black hole occurs. But the signals are repeating, and come from the same source, so these events are unlikely to be the cause of the radio signals.

The anomalous signals are fleeting bursts of radio waves that flash across the cosmos in a matter of milliseconds before disappearing almost as fast as appearing. But now, for the first time ever, astronomers have detected the short bursts of radio waves are in fact coming from the same place in the universe, far beyond our own galaxy.

The mysterious signals were detected for the first time in 2007 and have baffled astronomers ever since their discovery. Now, due to anomalous ‘repeated signals’ scientists have come together in hopes of trying to identify what might be causing these. According to reports, the newest radio bursts are believed to originate from an ‘extremely powerful object’ which is able to produce multiple bursts in under a minute.

“Not only did these bursts repeat, but their brightness and spectra also differ from those of other FRBs,” notes Laura Spitler, first author of the new paper, in a statement.

According to Professor Jason Hessels, an astronomer at the University of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy, researchers hope to use the direction the pulses are coming from in order to understand what is causing them.

He said: ‘Finding the host galaxy of this source is critical to understanding its properties.

‘Once we have precisely localized the repeater’s position on the sky, we will be able to compare observations from optical and X-ray telescopes and see if there is a galaxy there.’

Paul Scholz, an astronomer working at the McGill University who first spotted the signal, said the repeating signal was in fact ‘exciting’.

He added: ‘I knew immediately that the discovery would be extremely important in the study of fast radio bursts.’

Scholz and fellow astronomers have discovered 10 new fast radio bursts, suggesting that the bursts very likely originated from a ‘very exotic object’, like a rotating neutron star with never-before-seen power.

The research which was published in the Journal Nature is yet another study published in the last couple of days, and comes days after scientists announced to have pinpointed the location of a fast Radio burst for the first time, but these claims are now being questioned by scientists. In order to pinpoint the exact location of the unusual event, scientists will need to better understand the source of the bursts.

“Once we have precisely localized the repeater’s position on the sky, we will be able to compare observations from optical and X-ray telescopes and see if there is a galaxy there,” says Jason Hessels, associate professor at the University of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy. “Finding the host galaxy of this source is critical to understanding its properties.”

Mysteriously, our genetic code stopped evolving 3 billion years ago

According to researchers, our genetic code stopped evolving 3 billion years ago, but why? When Francis Crick described the Genetic code back in the 1960s, the mysterious halt in the evolution of the Genetic Code was referred to him as a frozen accident.

Interstingly, reseacrhers say that our Genetic Code could have developed to use up to 63 Aminoacids, but for some reason it stopped at 20.

Interestingly, researchers say that our Genetic Code could have developed to use up to 63 Amino acids, but for some reason, it stopped at 20.

Scientists might have solved the question of the century. According to experts, the genetic code’s limit was reached 3 billion years ago when evolution came to a sudden halt.

Even though life on our planet continues to evolve, the genetic code, that mystery machine which drives life has remained static using the same ‘commands’ and components in the same way it did in the distant past, billions of years ago.

It is known that at a certain point in our planet’s long history, our genetic code’s evolution came to a halt when it reached its plateau, thus preventing further development of the code. For decades, Scientists had no clue why, but now, thanks to a new study, researchers believe that the evolution of our genetic code came to a halt because of limitations in the way our DNA is translated to make proteins.

In order to understand it, researchers from Spain focuses on a molecule called transfer RNA (tRNA).

Basically, tRNA has the job to move the building blocks of proteins to the assembly line in order for them to be linked together in an appropriate way.

Interestingly when Francis Crick described the Genetic code back in the 1960s, the mysterious halt in the evolution of the Genetic Code was referred to him as a frozen accident.

Scientists believe this is because the genetic code evolved only enough to account for 20 amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins. The Genetic Code eventually reached a point where it was unable to alter, or expand so it could account for more than 20 amino acids, which caused it to remain static or frozen in time for billions of years.

The human body can link available amino acids together in order to make proteins, but it uses additional amino acids which are not included in the genetic code, relying on complicated chemical channels.

Interestingly, researchers say that our Genetic Code could have developed to use up to 63 Amino Acids, but for some reason, it stopped at 20. Experts believed that if the ‘machinery’ that reads the DNA and translates it to proteins were to include more than 20 amino acids, it is very likely that numerous mistakes would have been present, leading to an eventual meltdown of the biological system.

Professor Lluís Ribas de Pouplana, a geneticist from the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) and senior author of the study, said: „Protein synthesis based on the genetic code is the crucial feature of biological systems, and it is critical to ensure faithful translation of information.“

Every single transfer RNA has two central regions which link it to a specific amino acid at one end. The other recognises a three-letter stamp of the genetic code. Scientists say that multiple genetic stamps can code for the same amino acids, and the combination of these areas are what gives each tRNA an identity.

Speaking to MailOnline, Professor Ribas said: „Our work shows that the central pieces of the genetic code, the transfer RNAs, can not house enough specific identity elements for the system to be able to distinguish 63 of them. Since you need a new tRNA for each new amino acid, once the limit of tRNAs is reached that determines how many amino acids you can use. This limit happened to be at 20, and it hasn’t changed for 3 billion years.“

Scientists are now looking for ways to overcome the limitations set in place billions of years ago with the help of synthetic biology.

„It is thus unlikely that the limit will change naturally, and you could certainly call it a bottleneck for molecular diversity. Artificially, however, we are able to increase the number of amino acids used by cells under controlled laboratory conditions. I think that our work adds to the notion that adding new amino acids in a natural context would require very dramatic engineering of the system. Something that nature can’t do. How to go about this engineering is the main question that opens after our study.“ Said Professor Ribas in the interview.

Is there another Sun, Inner World and lost civilization inside of Earth?

Is there a slight possibility that there is an inner Sun, Inner World and lost civilization inside of Earth? In recent decades, a number of findings have been made that drastically alter the views on the Inner Earth theory.

    hollow-earth_2_800_800_0

According to many claims in the past decades, there is a world inside of our planet filled with supernatural beings, incredible technologies, and unexplained phenomenon. The ‘mythical’ land inside of our planet, its supernatural civilizations, and secrecy behind the entire subject stretches back over half a century. While the basis backing up such claims are nearly nonexistent, the legends must have originated from somewhere. What if Jules Verne’s classic “A Journey to the Center of the Earth” is true? And somewhere down there, an entirely new world is waiting to be explored, a place where somehow, living beings inhabit the depths of our planet, a place that ancient cultures and civilizations knew existed, or still exists today. What if it’s actually true?

Plato even spoke of the mythical inner world. He mentioned that extremely long and narrow tunnels connect the four corner of our planet. When these are finally connected, Agartha would stand with a magical ruler holding the throne.

But many similar accounts are present in history. If we go back to the year 50AD, we will discover that a Roman author by the name of Pliny the Elder stated that the ancient Atlantean civilization fled to the Himalayas after catastrophic events swiped over their capital city. Eventually, the Atlantean’s dug into our planet where they currently live, far away from ‘modern’ civilization.

However, if we look towards the 20th and 21st century, we will discover a number of authors who have made shocking claims in regards to the Hollow Earth theory. After proposing a new theory of the birth of our planet, Russian Physicist Fedor Nevolin became famous for suggesting that the Earth is hollow and most likely has a smaller Sun in the center. The Sun’s energy is said to penetrate through the holes in the Poles and accumulates in the center, making it possible for life to flourish inside our planet.

But perhaps the most famous accounts ‘offering’ conclusive evidence that there is a world inside our planet come from the famous Byrd expeditions.

Books like Worlds beyond the Poles by Amadeo Giannini claimed that Byrd had not flown over the Pole but inwardly through large holes leading into the Earth. Ray Palmer, mainly based on the book by Giannini, introduced his theory in the December 1959 issue of its magazine and obtained very positive results from the audience because of his theories and ideas regarding the Hollow Earth theory.

Don’t forget to read ‘The forgotten Diary of Vice Admiral Byrd.’

It is noteworthy to mention that according to Giannini and Palmer, during Vice Admiral Byrd’s alleged flight over the North Pole in 1947, Admiral Byrd radioed that he saw beneath him, not snow, but areas of land with mountains, forests, vegetation, lakes and rivers and in the undergrowth, a strange animal that looked like a mammoth.

It is said (citation needed) that in January of 1956, after leading an expedition to Antarctica, Admiral Byrd had stated that his expedition had explored 3,700 km beyond the South Pole and also just before his death, Byrd had said there existed a land beyond the Pole that was “an enchanted continent in the sky, a permanent mystery of Earth.” That land, according to other theories, was the legendary Rainbow City, home to a fabulous lost civilization.

But much before Byrd and others spoke of a world inside our planet, ancient civilizations had oral, and written legends that suggest such ’emptiness’ inside of our planet might actually exist.

The Macuxi Indians are indigenous people who live in the Amazon, in countries such as Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. According to their legends, they are the descendants of the Sun’s children, the creator of Fire and disease and the protectors of the “inner Earth.” Their oral legends speak of an entrance into Earth. Until the year 1907, the Macuxies would enter some sort of cavern, and travel from 13 to 15 days until they reached the interior. It is there, “at the other side of the world, in the inner Earth” is where the Giants live, creatures that have around 3-4 meters in height.

However, there are more ‘stories’ that speak of similar events. The Babylonian hero Gilgamesh visited his ancestor Utnapishtim in the bowels of the earth; in Greek mythology, Orpheus tries to rescue Eurydice from the underground hell; it was said that the Pharaohs of Egypt communicated with the underworld, which could be accessed via secret tunnels hidden in the pyramids; and Buddhists believed (and still believe) that millions of people live in Agharta, an underground paradise ruled by the king of the world. Where did all of these legends originate from?

Interestingly, in ‘modern’ times, several interesting authors have made similar claims. For example. Leonard Euler, a mathematical genius of the eighteenth century, concluded that the Earth was hollow, containing a central sun and was inhabited. Dr. Edmund Halley, discoverer of Comet Halley and Royal Astronomer of England also believed that the Earth was hollow on the inside with three “Floors”.

In an extremely interesting interview with Coast To Coast AM, author and researchers David Wilcock stated that an alliance of ancient civilizations is living inside the planet. These ancient civilizations have been calling the inner Earth their home for long periods of time, and they are about the reveal themselves to the world.

Wilcock states that based on his research, it seems as if these cavities are utilized so that advanced civilizations have a place they can live while looking out for everything that happens on the ‘outer Earth,’ the surface of the planet.

Recent studies have discovered interesting details about what’s located inside of our planet.

According to scientists, there is a large ocean of water located inside the mantle of our planet. They point out that this gigantic tank of water could fill the oceans on our planet up to three times.

Researchers also indicate that the water located on the surface of our planet came not from space, but from within the planet itself, as part of “complete water cycle on the planet”.

In addition to the water found inside of our planet, researchers have discovered an ‘unknown’ oxygen source deep below the surface of our planet. This discovery seems to point towards the existence of a hitherto unknown oxygen source believed to be located somewhere in the lower mantle of our planet.

The mysterious source of oxygen is believed to be so enormous, that it can influence the climate on our planet. The team of researchers led by Dr. Elena Bykova from the University of Bayreuth reported the results in the scientific journal nature Communications.

Are legends just legends? Myths only fictional accounts? Or is there something to the countless claims that have been formulated throughout the years which suggest there is a gigantic world waiting to be explored beneath the surface of our planet.

Astronomers have just found the LARGEST Structure in the Known Universe

Astronomers have recently announced the discovery of the largest structure ever seen in the known universe, and its 1 Billion Light Years long, making it the largest structure ever discovered. The size of this structure is beyond fascinating.

Astronomers have discovered the biggest structure in the known universe and well, the have called it BOSS.

Astronomers have discovered the biggest structure in the known universe, and well, the have called it BOSS.

Scientists at the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands in Spain have come across the most massive object in the universe and have called it BOSS, the BOSS Great Wall, which when you think, is the perfect name for such a humongous structure in the universe. BOSS stands for the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey

BOSS is a superstructure composed of superclusters which are interconnected by gasses, located billions of light years away from our plant, and its mass is ten thousand times larger than that of our galaxy, the Milky Way. Thanks to Gravity, these superclusters are able to stay interlocked while they journey across space.

The universe is a web of giant clusters of matter surrounding empty voids
Volker Springel/Max Planck Institute For Astrophysics/SPL

According to Joshua Sokol at New Scientist, the megastructure discovered by a team from the Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics is composed of 830 separate galaxies and has a mass 10,000 times greater than the Milky Way. To put the scale of this structure into perspective, we orbit one single star, the Sun. Our galaxy, the Milky Way, has over 200 billion stars, just like our Sun, in it alone with an unknown amount of planets orbiting them.

However, even though BOSS is the largest ‘thing’ ever discovered in the known universe, not all researchers agree it should be categorized as a ‘structure.’ The arguments against BOSS being called a structure or superstructure are that these superclusters arent connected like a wall would be. Instead, they have ‘dips’ and empty spaces between them and are linked by clouds of dust and gas.

While the debate whether or not BOSS is a superstructure or not will continue, it still is the largest object ever spotted by scientists. In fact, there are numerous other ‘great wall’s or superstructures found floating in the emptiness of space, located thousands and even millions of light years away from our planet.

Other Structures similar to BOSS are the Sloan Great Wall, which was discovered by researchers in 2003, and Lanikea, the superclusters of galaxies where our galaxy, the milky way is located. Lanikea, which in Hawaiian means ‘immeasurable heaven’ contains 100,000 galaxies and has the mass of ONE HUNDRED QUADRILLION SUNS.

Our galaxy sits near the edge of one such supercluster.

Within Lanikea, galaxies are travelling towards a region in space called ‘The Great Attractor,’ which according to researchers is the equivalent of a large gravitational valley.

Located in the vicinity of Lanikea are four neighbouring superclusters called Shapley, Hercules, Coma, and Perseus-Pisces. Lanikea was the first supercluster to have its size mapped by scientists.

Discoveries like this allow researchers to understand better the universe and helps them rebuild the Big Bang, enabling them to understand how space has changed since it came into existence.

Is There a UFO Cover-up? A Government Insider Speaks Out

    • Leslie KeanAuthor, New York Times bestseller, ‘UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record’

About six months ago, our board at UFODATA was privileged to welcomeChristopher Mellon as the newest member of our team. Chris spent nearly 20 years in the federal government serving in various national security positions. For the first time, he has agreed to speak publicly about his experiences within government as they relate to UFOs.

    2016-05-08-1462727039-5361826-CKMPhoto.jpeg

It is unusual for a man of Chris’s stature to speak openly about UFOs, which gives his statements great weight. His positions during the Clinton and Bush administrations involved high clearances; in fact, there are few people who have enjoyed such deep and wide-ranging access to compartmented programs in both the Defense Department (DoD) and the intelligence community. Chris is the recipient of numerous awards, including the National Reconnaissance Office Gold Medal and the Defense Intelligence Agency Director’s Medal.

At DoD, Chris served on a small committee that provided oversight of all DoD special access programs, in order to eliminate potential waste and duplication. The oversight included visits to Area 51 and other sensitive facilities. He also spent over a decade on the Senate Intelligence Committee, involved in oversight of NRO, CIA, NSA and other intelligence organizations. He became the first Congressional official to review all of the NSA’s compartmented programs.

I wanted to know what Chris had to say about Hillary Clinton’s implications that the government may be withholding classified UFO documents. Backed by John Podesta, chairman of her campaign, Clinton has been speaking about the need to “get to the bottom of the UFO mystery.” Her comments are unprecedented within a presidential campaign.

Here is my recent conversation with Chris Mellon, mainly conducted via email, edited only for clarity.

Q: When did you first become interested in UFOs?

A: I was about seven years old when I saw an old-fashioned amateur movie taken by a friend of our school principal. It showed a huge, golden disc-shaped object serenely moving through sunny, blue skies, passing through cumulous clouds in a manner that would be very hard to fake. I have no idea what became of the movie, but it filled me with wonder and awe. I read everything I could get my hands on afterwards and eventually did a research project on UFOs in college for a physics professor. I remain deeply intrigued.

Q: Did your colleagues in government know you were interested in UFOs? Were you afraid of being ridiculed?

A: It was something I didn’t reveal to colleagues unless I got to know them well and we became personal friends.  Even then of course I wasn’t a nut about it and I certainly was not obsessed; it was simply a subject of great curiosity. It did not come up often. I was focused like a laser on my duties 99.9 percent of the time.

Q: Hillary Clinton has been asked about UFOs during her campaign. As the former Secretary of State, would she be likely to know if there were any classified government programs involving UFOs?

A: No, I don’t think so. I recall instances when White House officials sought briefings on highly compartmented DoD programs and were flatly refused.  Access to such programs is on a need to know basis. In general, nobody outside DoD, including the Secretary of State, is deemed to have a need to know. Officials like John Podesta and Secretary Clinton can easily serve for years in senior positions and be avid consumers of classified intelligence analysis but never obtain access to DoD’s compartmented programs, which mostly relate to new weapons systems. Information about such programs rarely leaks because it doesn’t circulate, unlike the constant stream of leaked information regarding classified intelligence activities.

Q: Do you think that if Clinton is elected we can expect to learn new information about UFOs?

A: I highly doubt DoD or any other government agency is concealing UFO information. I participated in a comprehensive review of DoD’s black programs and spent over a decade conducting oversight of the national foreign intelligence program, an almost totally separate world of secrets. I visited Area 51 and other military, intelligence and research facilities. During all those years, I never detected the faintest hint of government interest or involvement in UFOs.

Q: Clinton and John Podesta have been focusing on the need for de-classifying government documents. What do you think about that?

A: While a few new, previously overlooked documents might turn up (the bureaucracy is never perfect), I do not believe they would resolve the UFO issue or provide significant new insights. I can think of one lengthy UFO report that is classified only due to concerns over sources and methods. In fact, it identified a convincing conventional explanation for the pilot sightings in this particular case. There are lots of classified documents related to activities at Area 51, where high security is needed. But this is all legitimate stuff the American people would support. They have nothing to do with UFOs, to the best of my knowledge.

Q: Do you recall any incidents involving UFOs while you were in government?

A: Yes, there were a handful of incidents.  Knowing of my interest in UFOs, a breathless naval aviator called me one day to report that he was present minutes earlier when a Navy jet landed after being circled by a UFO in broad daylight. The Navy did not pursue the issue as far as I could tell. I also recall the Maui Optical Tracking Facility, which tracks satellites, recording a flight of four or five fiery UFOs traversing the night sky.  Nobody knew what to make of it. But no government official expressed the slightest interest even after the tape was featured on ABC’s Nightline.  I found the utter lack of scientific curiosity due to political correctness highly frustrating.

Q: How do you think the press and public will react if Clinton is elected, makes the inquiries she promised, but comes up empty-handed?

A: I think the conspiracy theorists will be angry and unconvinced, while the general public may conclude UFOs are not a worthwhile topic. If Clinton really wants to get to the bottom of the UFO issue, I think she should officially task NORAD with collection and analysis responsibility. Simultaneously, she should assign the Office of Science and Technology Policy the job of reviewing available evidence, coordinating with other countries and providing scientific assessments and recommendations.

Q: The taboo against taking UFOs seriously is a huge problem. How can we get more government officials to change this ingrained attitude?

A: I think we have to ask ourselves a key question, and then bring it forward. “Are there UFO cases that are sufficiently well-documented to warrant a scientific investigation of the phenomenon?” In my view, the answer is yes.

The patterns in the data are too strong; the reports from credible witnesses separated widely by time and place too similar; the evidence from videos and trained military and law enforcement observers too extensive; and the independent radar data in select cases correlates too highly with visual observations to safely ignore. Finally, when someone you trust and respect, like a naval aviator, looks you in the eye and tells you he saw something truly extraordinary at close range, it’s hard not to take his testimony seriously. It is arrogant, unreasonable and unwise to dismiss such reports. We should simply and impartially follow the trail wherever it leads.

Q: Which credible UFO incidents have you found particularly impressive and convincing?

A: A few stand out in my mind. In November 1989, 13 police officers and hundreds of other witnesses saw two silent triangular craft gliding over Belgium. This was the beginning of a wave of sightings there lasting well over a year. Ground and air radar data were acquired as well. The Belgian Air Force investigated the events in cooperation with a team of scientists and consulted with the U.S. and NATO countries, but could not find a conventional explanation.

Colonel Wilfried De Brouwer, who later became a general, presents anomalous radar readings at a 1990 press conference during the Belgian wave

On the night of March 30, 1993, over a hundred witnesses in England, including police officers and military personnel, saw a triangular-shaped craft able to rapidly accelerate in seconds from a hovering position. The British Ministry of Defensestated that “none of the usual explanations put forward to explain UFO sightings seem applicable” and concluded that the evidence showed that “an unidentified object (or objects) of unknown origin was operating over the UK.”

Similarly, multiple police officers in Southern Illinois saw an object in January 2000 that looked and behaved very similarly to the Belgian and British UFOs. In fact, the Illinois police officers’ drawings of the craft are uncannily similar to the depictions of triangular craft produced by Belgian law enforcement officers a decade earlier, as well as many others since.

In 2006, pilots and airport personnel witnessed a disc-shaped object hovering overO’Hare airport for over five minutes, yet no government investigation was undertaken.

And, while most sightings have conventional explanations, I think it is stunning how many reports come in regularly to groups like MUFON, with impressive detail, including photos or videos.  I often hear from skeptics, “If UFOs are out there how come nobody ever gets a video with all the smartphones around?”  That is ignorant, it happens all the time!

Q: Some people believe the more recent sightings in cases such as those you mentioned may simply be US government tests of experimental aircraft. Is that possible?

A: I can understand why this may seem the most plausible explanation. But I can assure you, those objects did not belong to US Department of Defense. Just before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, I was contacted by the DoD Office of Congressional Affairs. They were in a tizzy because Robert Byrd, the powerful Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, was challenging them over reports appearing in magazines such as Aviation Week and Space Technology describing an alleged super-secret US aircraft program dubbed “Aurora.”

Senator Byrd would use his budget power to punish the department severely if we lied to him or withheld information. We pursued all possible options, double-checking with the appropriate officials while reminding them of the imperative of providing an accurate response. We quickly confirmed what we already knew - that while there are always things on the drawing board, there was nothing remotely resembling such aircraft being operated by the department. We had nothing with the capacity to hover and then silently accelerate at massive speeds.

Also, it is totally uncharacteristic of the US military to conduct experimental tests of new vehicles over populated areas where security would be compromised and innocent civilians placed in harms way. That’s completely contrary to military DNA. Alien visitation is actually easier to believe than that level of stupidity being exhibited by the brilliant people developing new aircraft technologies for DoD.

Q: Are you certain there is no government cover-up?

A: It’s impossible to prove the negative, so all I can say is that I never saw any evidence of official interest in UFOs. I’d love to believe we have a crashed saucer somewhere, but I’ve never seen anything remotely supportive of such incredible claims. In my experience, on those rare occasions when UFO incidents involving the government occur, they are highly inconvenient, awkward and embarrassing for the afflicted government officials who want nothing more than to put the issue behind them as quickly as possible! The military seems generally unwilling to investigate even when UFO reports come from our own military pilots or officials in high office such as Fife Symington, the former governor of Arizona.  Senior officials are so fearful of being ridiculed that they conceal any expression of interest or curiosity.

Q: Some inside sources have proposed that retrieved hardware from a UFO may exist within a private aerospace company which has become independent from the DoD.  In this way, it would be exempt from government oversight and known only to a few people. Do you think this is possible?

A: I find it hard to imagine something as explosive as recovered alien technology remaining under wraps for decades. So while I have no reason to believe there is any recovered alien technology, I will say this: If it were me, and I were trying to bury it deep, I’d take it outside government oversight entirely and place it in a compartment as a new entity within an existing defense company and manage it as what we call an “IRAD” or “Independent Research and Development Activity.”

Q: So where does this all leave us, and what is to be done?

A: In my view, calling for the end to an alleged government UFO cover-up is almost certainly a dead end, and does not help inspire anyone in government to become more open to the topic. The UFO mystery is a scientific problem. A true scientist seeks and follows the data no matter how politically incorrect the facts may be. The greatest scientific breakthroughs occur when we verify information that challenges conventional wisdom. That’s why I joined the board of UFODATA.

Q: I’m so glad you did. What kinds of new data are you hoping we will collect?

A: Our team of scientists and engineers are designing and will build a large network of automated surveillance stations with sophisticated sensors to capture a wide range of data. The stations will house cameras to record both an image and spectra, a magnetometer, instrumentation to detect radiation, a gravimeter, and more. They will be mobile so that we can readily deploy them to areas that become hotspots of UFO activity. We can then make the data available to the scientific community for analysis.

    2016-05-08-1462732220-3487299-Hessdalen.png

Q: Do you think UFOs could be visitors from civilizations elsewhere?

A: I’m certainly intrigued by the possibility. But I don’t think we will find out without a deeper scientific inquiry. I would like to invite the public to participate and support this lean but potentially groundbreaking effort, staffed by volunteers. UFODATA’s findings, one way or another, can help us to resolve this perennial mystery and perhaps even help us to better understand the universe and mankind’s place within it.

Colorado’s San Luis Valley Is A UFO Hotspot With A Specially Built UFO Watchtower

Want to see some unexplained lights in the sky or slow moving cigar-shaped or saucer-shaped objects? Gas up the car and head out to the southwest section of Colorado.

The San Luis Valley of the Centennial State is reportedly a paranormal-rich area of the American landscape, with UFO sightings going back to the 1600s.

When Judy Messoline first moved here in 1995 to raise cattle, she became intrigued by the many UFO stories told to her by the locals. She eventually abandoned the ranch idea and in 2000, built a special UFO Watchtower, a rectangular metal platform standing 10 feet high above the ground where up to 60 people at a time can gather and swap tales of unexplained experiences.

“We see objects that we cannot explain — lights that go real fast and stop, or they’ll go in one direction and suddenly go in the opposite direction without stopping,” Messoline told AOL.

“The closest one we saw from here between the tower and the mountains was cigar-shaped — narrow and really long — and illuminated from the inside. Over a dozen people saw it moving rapidly from the north to the south.”

So far, of the nearly 60 sightings since she opened her alien lookout, Messoline has had 26 sightings of her own.

“During the day, we see silver balls and saucer-shaped objects. We’ve also had reports of people driving down the country roads out here who’ve seen saucers flying right next to them,” she added.

Since 2000, an estimated 20,000 visitors have journeyed from around the world to Messoline’s UFO Watchtower hoping for a glimpse at an otherworldly sight in the sky. And even if they aren’t lucky enough to spot an unknown light or craft, they’re seldom disappointed.

Messoline’s tower sits on 600 acres of land she owns just outside the town of Hooper, where skywatchers experience the majesty of the Rocky Mountains (surrounded by the San Juan and Sangre de Cristo ranges) by day. At night, the incredibly clear, non-polluted skies present the wonders and astronomical vistas of the Milky Way galaxy.

And then there’s Messoline’s “vortex garden” — a large, widespread area where there are, according to various psychics, portals to another universe. It’s a place where Messoline encourages visitors to leave personal trinkets behind.

“Folks really like the idea of leaving something of theirs in that garden: sunglasses, hats and toys — some things are really so nice that I have to patrol the garden to make sure that things stay put.”

Messoline has her own theory about why her particular 600-acre plot and the surrounding environment are so UFO, vortex energy-friendly.

“There have been documented UFO sightings here since the 1600s, so it’s nothing new and it’s considered the nation’s hot spot for UFO experiences,” she said. “Some say it’s the spirituality of the valley — native Americans consider the valley floor as sacred.”

If UFOs aren’t your cup of tea, there are other activities near this out-of-the-way tourist spot that might suit your fancy. Don’t miss the local alligator farm, the Great Sand Dunes National Park, a mountain train and geothermal hot spring pools.

And you can’t beat the price to check out the UFO Watchtower. “We charge $2 a person, or $5 a car — whichever’s cheapest,” said Messoline.

Her original dream was to have a log house on 100 acres with a 6-foot-high privacy fence around it, to keep out the neighbors. Messoline ended up with the log house but with no privacy fence.

And after so many years of sightings of strange lights and objects in the sky above and around her Colorado home, Messoline’s belief system has been deeply affected.

“I used to always believe that there had to be life someplace else because the universe is just too massive for there not to be. But I know it now.”

Octopus DNA is NOT From This World, Scientists Reveal

    octopus-alein-dna

The aquatic wildlife holds many secrets and the marine biologists are at the onset of making small but significant discoveries that may some day, elighten other paths to a higher intelligence and a deeper understanding of the surrounding nature.

Even though oceanographical researchers are overwhelmed with the abundance of flora and fauna, a group of scientists had the inspiration to choose the cephalopods and try to break down their DNA code.

The octopus, the squid and the cuttlefish are encompassed in the coleoid sub-class of the molluscs, characterized by a wide behavioural range and astonishing morphological wrinkles: camera-like eyes, extremely flexible body and the most impressive chameleonic response. All these features are packed with the largest nervous system found so far among the invertebrates, making the octopuses the champions of the obscure aquatic universe.

One of the main reasons that determined the team of scientists to investigate the molecular base of the cephalopod brain was its ability to immediately adapt the neural network properties which greatly impact the memory and learning capacity. These capabilities can offer an explanation within the genome that incorporates biological mechanisms that allow tissues to rapidly alter proteins in order to change their function.

Along with the development of marine biology and modern day genetics, there have been identified hundreds of cephalopod-specific genes, some of which displayed advanced expression level in complex organic structures as the skin, the suckers and the nervous system.

    coconut-octopus-1

For those unfamiliar with the notion of genome, you can think of it as an organism’s complete set of genetic instructions that envelops all the genetic information needed to build, grow and evolve that specific organism.

However, the Octopus Genome Project is at an early stage, the most important achievement is the finding of evidence for large-scale genomic rearrangements, which translated for the non-scientist, means that the octopuses are able to remodel their own DNA, resulting in a flawless versatility in any environment, which was a decisive and crucial ability for the cephalopods in the race for survival of the fittest.

The octopus has an impressive genome structure, almost as large as a human but with many more protein-coding genes, about 33000, compared to our’s 25000 (some sources say that we might have even less than calculated initially, only 14000). Add 168 neuron development regulating genes (almost twice as many as any mammal) and you get an embodiment of intelligence that swims gracefuly among the lesser creatures that roam the oceans. The neural network consists of half a billion neurons, from which two-thirds spread out from the head to the prehensile arms, without the need of spinal cords, like we see in the vertebrates.

One of the most fascinating aspects regarding the nervous system is that if an arm is dismembered, it can still execute cognitive tasks, as if it would develop a self-dependent nervous system in each arm. This unique feature has given us an example of ultimate biological engineering.

To clear out the mystery behind its rapid chamelonic behavior, the scientists have identified six protein genes called “reflectins” which influence the way light reflects from the octopus’s skin, displaying various textures, pattern or brightness.

The discoveries belong to researchers of the University of Chicago who carried out the Octopus Genome Project with a member of the California two-spot octopus for initial analysis. In the same period, a similar project took place in Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology in Japan, both research groups aiming for breaking down the genome. Luckily, the two teams joined their knowledge pool for a mutual support in the research that focused on the DNA structure of the cephalopods that revolved around the sequence of the first genome, revealing astonishing results.

The scientific report that concluded the octopuses share alien genes have been somewhat groundshaking in the scientific world which caused an upheaval among the marine biologists who were shocked and intrigued at the same time, at the fact that apparently we’ve had under our very own nose the whole time, a link to humanity’s greatest mysteries in the field of science.

Octopuses are aliens, or at least their genetic baggage is. This headline is not something you see everyday in the world of science. After the release to publicity of such statements, the media created a hype around the subject that required a thorough clarification, on a deeper level, in order to eliminate any confusion.

Green UFO Caught During Sunset Over Water Dam, Pennsylvania, May 16, 2016, UFO Sightings News.

Date of sighting: May 16, 2016
Location of sighting: Quemahoning Dam, Pennsylvania, USA

This photo was sent yesterday by a reader here at UFO Sightings Daily. The person was at a famous camping area at Quemahoning Dam, PA. The person took a photo during sunset and caught a UFO by accident hovering over the water. UFOs as I have said before are most often seen during sunset, due to the sun sitting at a 90 degree angle to the person so cloaked craft become visible for a few minutes. This one probably was caught exiting or entering the water. An awesome UFO photo.

    Eyewitness states:

Quemahoning Dam. I took a pic of the sun going down and two days later I noticed a green dot in the pic. When I zoomed in on it, this is what was there. I never saw it while taking the pic.

The search for extraterrestrials: How to tell the world you've discovered an alien civilisation

    alien
How do you tell people you have found aliens?IStock

    Duncan ForganUniversity of St Andrews

After countless fictional scenarios of humans making contact with alien civilisations, you'd think we'd be prepared for actually discovering one. But finding intelligent life beyond the Earth is clearly likely to be one of the most shattering moments in the history of our species.

So if you've just discovered an alien civilisation, how should you go about breaking the news? This is a momentous task, and I have been involved in developing some guidelines for the scientists who are involved in searching for extraterrestrial life. The research is due to be published in the journal Acta Astronautica.

With the millions of dollars currently being invested in initiatives such the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), some would argue it is only a matter of time before we do come across intelligent life. I'm personally not convinced, but pessimism isn't enough to abandon a search. The scientific method requires us to test our hypotheses with observation and experiment – regardless of our initial prejudices.

If we ever do find signs of intelligent life, I don't expect it to be a message from an alien civilisation or a landing party. It will probably be something a little more prosaic, such as signs of artificial pollution in the atmosphere of an exoplanet. It may even take the form of enormous structures built in space to collect energy and provide habitats.

    alien megastructure

Artist impression of an alien megstructureDanielle Futselaar/SETI International

I showed in some work a few years ago that we would be able to see such megastructures in exoplanet transit data, such as that gathered by the Kepler Space Telescope. True enough, Kepler did see weird objects such as Tabby's Star, KIC 8426582, with features similar to those predicted would come from artificial structures. But like most astronomers, I'm still a sceptic – a swarm of comets around Tabby's Star producing incredible changes in brightness is still the more sensible interpretation.

What's really encouraging about this, though, is that it shows SETI can be done "on the cheap", taking advantage of publicly available astronomical data to search for aliens. For a pessimist like me, this seems like a much more appropriate strategy.

The flurry of internet activity surrounding Tabby's star – blogs, tweets, news stories and theKickstarter campaign to encourage the public to support further observations – demonstrate how different the world has become since SETI began around 60 years ago.

    Super-connected world

If evidence of extraterrestrial life ever came to us from the stars, what should the discoverers do next? This is something astrobiologists have pondered for decades. In 1989, a committee of SETI scientists even drew up a set of post-detection protocols to guide scientists through the steps after discovery. These steps include getting your colleagues to verify the discovery, and notifying "relevant national authorities" (precisely who this means is unclear to me), followed by the scientific community and then the public via a press release.

However, this set of guidelines was written before the age of the internet. Back then, we got our news via the paper or the TV screen. Even 24-hour news was in its infancy. Nowadays, the news world is a fragmented sphere of articles placed on our devices and in our feeds via a variety of social media tools, shared by our friends and family. Data flows extremely rapidly, and easily gets amplified and distorted.

That is why my colleague Alexander Scholz and I decided to take another look at the issue, asking how the SETI post-detection protocols should change to reflect our super-connected world. We quickly realised that scientists need guidance before starting the experiment, let alone after making a detection. It is now common practice for new scientific projects to set up a blog about their work, and this will be essential for SETI. The blog should include a clear description of what a certain project will do, and what the criteria are for a successful detection, a false positive and no detection. This would help journalists and the public alike to avoid misinterpreting the results.

The individuals involved need to be credible communicators of their work, so maintaining good digital presence in the early stages is very helpful. We also recommend they update their security settings to protect against nefarious individuals broadcasting their personal information – which is sadly a real risk these days.

If a team is lucky enough to make even an unconfirmed, tentative detection, they must be sure to have nothing to hide. Leaks are unavoidable, and alarmingly rapid. Nobody wants an "aliens found" story that turns out to be false. The best way to do this is to publish data immediately. If it's very clear that the detection is unconfirmed, and natural or man-made causes can't be ruled out, then there is no room for conspiracy theorists to wail about the scientists' collusion with the men in black(an accusation flung at me more than once). It also gives other scientists the chance to check the work, and verify the detection.

Of course, we've all seen some of the comments on YouTube or other media sites – there are numpties everywhere, and there is seemingly no stopping good scientific discussion being twisted into inexplicable diatribes and vile hate speech. Therefore, the most important piece of advice for scientists is to be involved in the conversation.

If a publicised detection turns out to be false, the team should immediately make a public statement making it clear that no aliens have been discovered and why. They should even publish a paper retracting it if they have to.

But whoever discovers intelligent life should also prepare for it to swallow up the rest of their life – there isn't going to be time for much else. Their new job will instead be to help humanity come to terms with its new identity, as just one of multiple intelligent civilisations in the universe.

The search for extraterrestrials: How to tell the world you've discovered an alien civilisation

Barack Obama To Reveal UFO, Alien Information Kept Secret For 20 Years?

Obama's last days in the office might be defined by an extra-terrestrial revelation. According to reports, the US commander in chief has been close to announcing an alien and UFO activity before he steps down from his post.

The US President is affected by the same revelation promises made by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during her campaign. In relation to this, executive director Stephen Bassett of the US-based Paradigm Research Group believes that there might be a huge announcement in the days to come, adding that David Cameron will also follow suit. Bassett has been trying to persuade the White House to give the details that have been kept for 20 years. The 69-year-old Bassett believes that this is the greatest news story ever been broken, and that he thinks that Obama's revelation will be a Nobel Prize worthy.

Obama's possible revelation would happen just months following Clinton's statement in a US talk show saying that  she was eager on the transparency of information about UFOs and ET, Express reported.

Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Clinton spoke in Jimmy Kimmer Live as is reportedly leading the race against Berni Sanders for party nomination for the upcoming election in November. Just like her husband Bill, who also guested on the show in 2014 and was also asked if he has ever been into UFOs or in Area 51, which is a top secret air base rumored to back engineer an alien craft. Bill answered "sort of" and said he did not see dead aliens.

Hilary Clinton said that there is already a new name for UFO, which is unexplained aerial phenomena. She stated that she would want everyone to see the  files and make every information public, saying that if there is nothing in the file, then people should be made aware. But she added that if there is something found there, it should be shared with the public unless it is going to be a national security risk, according to 12 News.

MYSTERIOUS ORB UFO FLEET FILMED OVER BELARUS, PROOF OF EXTRATERRESTRIAL VISITATION, UFO HUNTERS CLAIM [VIDEO]

UFO hunters have declared that footage apparently showing a fleet of glowing orb UFOs over the city of Minsk in Belarus is proof of alien UFO and ET visitation to Earth. But skeptics have suggested that the footage likely shows Chinese lanterns.

The footage, showing an alleged fleet of bright or glowing orb UFOs, was recorded over a motorway and later over tower blocks in the city of Minsk and uploaded to YouTube on May 25, 2016, by alien hunter Ovnis Actuales.

It has drawn the attention of members of the online UFO community some of whom have challenged skeptics to explain away what they claim to be undeniable evidence of extraterrestrial craft hovering over a city in Belarus.

“Where are all the trolls with their stupid explanations?” a UFO believer Rio Angel taunts skeptics. “When they see film like this they hide under rocks shaking.”

Where are all the trolls with their stupid explanations? When they see film like this they hide under rocks shaking.

Commenting on the bizarre daylight sighting, UFO blogger Scott C. Waring notes that glowing orb UFOs are among the most commonly sighted worldwide and in space. UFO hunters have often reported sighting orb UFOs near the International Space Station (ISS) in low Earth orbit.

“The most common UFOs seen are glowing large orbs,” he writes. “These light up and disappear almost in sync.”

“I wish we had more footage and more info about this one. It is awesome that the person stopped their car and got out to record this. It is not recorded through glass, but just a normal view from the side of the road,” he adds.

UFO hunters have noted that the footage is reminiscent of the sighting of a fleet of mysterious UFOs over the famous port city of Osaka, Japan, in July, 2015.

The Inquisitr reported at the time that the bizarre footage shot over Osaka shows a swarm of about 10 mysterious orb UFOs floating silently over the city.

The footage sparked endless debate and speculation among UFO enthusiasts. But many agreed that the difficulty encountered in interpreting the footage was due to its poor quality.

However, some viewers suggested that the orbs could be white-colored balloons floating in the wind. Others compared the sighting to orb UFOs that appeared over Hyde Park in London the previous month. Pointing attention to the similarities between both sightings some UFO enthusiasts suggested there could be a link.

Was there an alien race conducting systematic surveillance flights over selected cities, some enthusiasts wondered.

The sighting over Hyde Park also drew the attention of the mainstream media because the orbs appeared for a few seconds and disappeared mysteriously in a manner that suggested that they were not ordinary man-made objects, such as balloons or Chinese lanterns.

Some UFO enthusiasts argued that the disappearance was due to a phenomenon that UFO researchers term “cloaking,” a reference to technology allegedly employed by ET visitors to disguise or hide their UFOs and make them invisible to human observers.

A favorite method of “cloaking” employed by alien visitors, according to UFO researchers, involves disguising UFO spacecraft as lenticular clouds.

A sighting of glowing orb UFOs also occurred in January, 2015, over Western Massachusetts. Footage captured on January 19, 2015, which went viral online, showed an orb UFO hovering over a building. The mysterious orb then released what appeared to be a smaller orb which flew off in a different direction.

Then some seconds later in the video the orb UFO released more orbs.

However, some skeptics claimed that the video was a CGI hoax.

Recently, a witness in Fairbanks, Alaska, filmed a mysterious UFO releasing multiple orbs mid-air before disappearing mysteriously (see YouTube below).

Multiple sightings of glowing orbs releasing smaller orbs over several locations in the country have sparked speculation among members of the UFO community that a stealth alien invasion of Earth could be underway, and that an alien species could be dropping “landing pods” containing alien invaders over multiple locations as part of efforts to plant sleeper cells of alien invaders across the country.

UFO conspiracy theorists have always claimed that there are aliens living among us on Earth in disguise.

Skeptics have often tried to explain away sightings of glowing orb UFOs as Chinese lanterns, balloons, flares, or parachutes with lights.

Yupp Chinese laterns, now we have SuperBrite LEDs, small lithium batteries and a helium filled balloon and you can have all sorts of fun.”

“Have these idiots ever heard of Chinese lanterns?

But UFO hunters have scoffed at consistent attempts to explain away orb UFOs as Chinese lanterns, saying that while some sightings could be Chinese lanterns or similar man-made floating objects, not all cases could be explained so easily.
