Researchers Discover That Human
Brain is 'Ready for Anything'
A new study reveals that the human brain is "pre-adapted" to tackle any problem that a person might encounter.
Neuroscientists working at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) have discovered that the brain of both human and non-human primates is capable of anticipating any new situation that might be encountered in its lifetime by creating a special kind of neural network.
The study, published in the PLOS Computational Biology journal, postulates that primates’ ability to come up with a wide variety of behaviors not anticipated by evolution is in fact a product of connections between neurons that form recurrent loops where inputs can rebound and mix in the network. Such reservoir networks can generate a unique combination of inputs that can then be used to develop the correct behavior for any new situation.
The researchers demonstrated their findings by training a network to perform a novel problem-solving task, and then by comparing the neuron activity in that model with that of a pre-frontal cortex of a primate trained to perform the same task. Needless to say, the comparison revealed striking similarities in the activity of neurons in both instances.
This discovery is an important step in understanding the local recurrent connectivity in the brain which essentially allows primates to tackle unfamiliar tasks.

DENISE STONER WAS 2½ years old the first time she remembers the alien taking her. She was at home in Hartford with her grandfather. Her mother was at the hospital giving birth to her younger sister. She remembers staring out a large picture window and seeing an egg-shaped object in the sky, hovering over some power lines. “What’s Humpty Dumpty doing up in the sky?” she asked. She remembers the fear in her grandfather’s face when he suggested it was time for bed.
Later that night, as she lay staring at her nursery rhyme-themed wallpaper, an entity walked through her wall. “He looked like a monk, he had a robe, and he was carrying a light. I wasn’t afraid of him,” she said. “He put out his other hand for me to take it, and I did. We walked out into the hallway.” The alien pointed his light at the wall, and they disappeared through it; she remembers being in a large, dome-shaped room with a lot of other children, and they seemed to be learning something. In the morning, she was back in her bed.
ince then, she says, she has been taken more than 50 times, from her home, from the street, from her car, the last time only three years ago, driving through the mountains in Colorado. Each time, it’s the same being responsible. “He looks like your typical gray [alien], but he’s one of the tall ones. It’s just the very subtle shape of his face, his chin is a little wider,” she explained. She calls him her escort. “There’s no friendship. . . . He comes to get me, and I know I’m going to be safe,” she said. “He’s also going to oversee whatever is done.”
Stoner, 68, lives in Florida with her husband. Now retired, she works with fellow “experiencers,” people who feel they have had contact with intelligent nonhuman entities. She also conducts investigations on behalf of the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON. Being an experiencer is very much part of her identity. Her story is coherent, she doesn’t ramble or get lost in the telling.
Do you believe her?
If you said yes, then you might be among the 77 percent of Americans, according to a 2012 National Geographic poll, who believe that aliens have visited Earth, or the 30 percent of Americans who believe that the government has covered up evidence of alien visitation, according to a 2015 YouGov poll. Or maybe it’s happened to you: There are few hard numbers, however, a 2014 survey for a British talk show found that one in 25 respondents believed they’d been abducted by aliens.
Belief that alien life exists on other planets is persuasive, sensible; nearly 80 percent of Americans do believe it, according to a 2015 poll. But belief that the aliens are already here feels like something else, largely because it requires a leap of faith longer than agreeing that the universe is a vast, unknowable place. Abduction and contact stories aren’t quite the fodder for daytime talk show and New York Times bestsellers they were a few decades ago. The Weekly World News is no longer peddling stories about Hillary Clinton’s alien baby at the supermarket checkout line. Today, credulous stories of alien visitation rarely crack the mainstream media, however much they thrive on niche TV channels and Internet forums. But we also still want to believe in accounts that scientists, skeptics, and psychologists say there is no credible evidence to support.
The abduction phenomenon began with strange case ofBetty and Barney Hill. On Sept. 19, 1961, the Hills were driving from Montreal to their home in Portsmouth, N.H. Betty spotted a UFO following them. Barney stopped the car on the highway, near Indian Head in the White Mountains, and got out to look at the craft through binoculars. Seeing humanoid figures in Nazi-like uniforms peering through its windows, he ran back to the car, screaming, “Oh my God, we’re going to be captured!” They drove off, but two hours later, they found themselves 35 miles from the spot where they’d first seen the craft (there is now a commemorative marker at the site), with little memory of how they’d gotten there. Soon after, Betty began having nightmares.
In 1964, the Hills underwent hypnotherapy. Under hypnotic regression — hypnosis with the intent to help a subject recall certain events with more clarity — the couple said that they had actually been pulled on board the vessel by aliens and subjected to invasive experiments. The Hills’ story, revealed to the public in 1965 with an article in the Boston Traveler and a year later in the book “The Interrupted Journey,” launched a flurry of public fascination with abductions.
Barney died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1969, but Betty went on to become a kind of sage of paranormal experiences. Their story became the blueprint for alien abduction experiences in the years that followed, especially after the airing of the 1975 made-for-TV film “The UFO Incident,” starring James Earl Jones as Barney Hill. Subsequent experiencers would describe similar missing time or have bizarre dreams and flashbacks of things they couldn’t understand. Many would use hypnotic regression to recall their experiences.
Over the next two decades, the alien abduction narrative wound its way into the American consciousness, fed by science fiction films like “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and breathless news reports of mysterious incidents. In 1966, a Gallup poll asked Americans if they’d ever seen a UFO; 5 percent said they had, but they meant it in the literal sense of an unidentified flying object — only 7 percent of Americans believed that the UFOs were from outer space. By 1986, a Public Opinion Laboratory poll found that 43 percent of respondents agreed with the statement: “It is likely that some of the UFOs that have been reported are really space vehicles from other civilizations.”
Some experiencers said the aliens were here to save us and study us, some said they were here to harvest our organs and enslave us. But by the late 1980s, people whose stories would have been dismissed as delusional a generation earlier were being interviewed by Oprah and “true stories” of alien experience, such as Whitley Strieber’s “Communion” and Budd Hopkins’s “Intruders,” were bestsellers. By the 1990s, those who believed in the literal truth of alien abduction stories gained an important ally in John Mack, a Harvard professor and psychiatrist who compiled his study of the phenomenon into a 1994 book titled “Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens.” He later told the BBC, “I would never say there are aliens taking people away . . . but I would say there is a compelling, powerful phenomenon here that I can’t account for in any other way.”
“These books sold really, really well, they were on book racks in airports and railway stations. You couldn’t really avoid it,” said Dr. Chris French, head of the anomalistic psychology department at Goldsmiths College in London and author of a study on alien abductees. And it wasn’t just books — one of the most popular television shows of the 1990s was devoted almost entirely to alien conspiracy theory: “The X-Files.” “All of these things influence people’s beliefs about what might be true, what might be plausible,” said French.
Other social currents, some of them peculiarly American, informed these stories and our interest in them. Space exploration in the 1950s and ’60s forced the country to admit that a vast unknown lay beyond our atmosphere — at the same time, the Cold War inspired existential fear of invasion. The 1960s and ’70s were attended by horizon-broadening mysticism, publicized experimentation with drugs — people talked about out-of-body experiences. The 1980s saw an explosion of angst around “stranger danger,” with a near-constant reports of child abduction and sexual molestation, and then, recovered and repressed memory. Alien abduction stories absorbed those strains, re-inventing them as anal probes and sinister hybrid breeding programs.
Meanwhile, psychologists like French were examining alien abduction narratives from a more skeptical perspective. And what they found is that the truth wasn’t so much out there as it was in our heads. “People have weird experiences in all societies, given that our nervous systems are the same the world over,” explained French. “It’s the interpretations that might differ.”
A small but stubborn percentage of alien abduction experiences defy clear scientific explanation, but many of the rest can have a number of different physiological or psychological explanations, including epilepsy, which can be preceded by visual disruptions, narcolepsy, or sleep paralysis.
In normal sleep, your body is relaxed nearly to the point of paralysis, presumably to keep you from acting out your dreams. Sleep paralysis is a disruption of lucid dreaming in which the mind partially wakes but finds that the body has not. It can be terrifying: Individuals report sensing entities in the room with them and being unable to move, pressure on their chests, out-of-body-like sensations coupled with intense, heightened emotions. In the past and in other cultural contexts, this experience was attributed to demons or evil spirits or a religious phenomenon. In America, science fiction was increasingly part of mainstream entertainment, and stories about alien contact experiences were covered as news, so aliens seemed like a plausible explanation for these experiences.
Then there’s the slippery nature of memory itself. The richness of a remembered experience is no guarantee of its objective reality, even less so if that memory was “recalled” through hypnotic regression. Though now largely dismissed by mainstream psychology, hypnotic regression remains popular with experiencers. Psychologists say that discerning true memories of actual events from true memories of imagined events is impossible, especially if the individual was predisposed to believe in paranormal or alien experiences.
Additionally, there’s old-fashioned hallucination. A recent international survey of more than 30,000 people, none of who were diagnosed with schizophrenia or other mental health issues, found that 6 percent of them reported experiencing a hallucination unrelated to drugs, alcohol, or sleep. Finally, Michael Shermer, prominent American skeptic and columnist for Scientific American, notes, “Sometimes people just make stuff up.”
By the end of the 1990s, the alien abduction bubble had burst. Ratings fell for the “The X-Files.” In April 2001, reports (later denied) circulated that the British Flying Saucer Bureau, 1,500 members strong at its peak, was shutting down after a long dry spell of no sightings. Five months later, two planes crashed into the Twin Towers and no one cared about little green men anymore. “X-Files” director Chris Carter, at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con, declared that after 9/11, the mood justwasn’t right anymore. In 2006, Ben Macintyre, columnist for The Times, declared that the Internet had undermined belief in UFOs and alien visitation: “The unidentified flying object has been identified, and cannot fly any more. ET has gone home.” Skepticism, it seemed, had killed the UFO.
Except that it hadn’t. Not really.
David Clarke is a UFO researcher who investigated the British government’s UFO files — a former believer, he’s now a skeptic and author of several books, including “How UFOs Conquered the World.” In his view, the Internet didn’t kill alien belief so much as offer up hundreds of echo chambers for it to thrive in. “I think there are just as many people who believe that these things happen, but I think that they’ve retreated from public view and they just talk to themselves,” said Clarke. “In order for you to be a party to that, you need to buy into that reality.”
Skeptics want to believe that fewer people believe, that more people are aware of explanations like sleep paralysis or false memories. “People are capable of these fantastic experiences without them being real outside of the brain,” said Shermer, adding, too, that the camera-phone age is increasing the burden of evidence on experiencers.
Experiencers want to believe that public skepticism is subsiding. Rosemary Ellen Guiley, a prolific American writer about paranormal and mystical experiences, explained, “More people are willing to talk about their experiences because media has opened the door, because there has been a lot of media attention on all kinds of experiences, positive and negative. . . . This is validating, that they can talk about it and not be ridiculed.”
Yet if periodic polls are any indication, Americans have remained consistent on the subject of aliens for the last three decades. At any given moment, roughly 10 percent of Americans believe they’ve seen a UFO. A Gallup poll from 1990 found that 47 percent of respondents believed UFOs were “real,” as in alien. A 2015 Ipsos poll found that 56 percent of Americans believed in UFOs. American disbelief of the government line on UFOs has also remained steady. In 1996, 71 percent thought the government was hiding something; it was 79 percent in 2012, according to a National Geographic Survey. In other words, more people believe that the US government is covering up evidence of alien life than believe that Jesus is the son of God (a 2013 Harris Poll survey found that 68 percent of respondents believed Christianity’s central tenet). That makes Hillary Clinton’s campaign promise to open up files on Area 51 look all the more canny.
It also points to a strange moment for us humans, for how our understanding of our place in the universe has changed over the last 50 years. “We’ve become more materialistic, scientific, secular, and yet we are exactly the same human beings . . . with the same physiological and psychological makeup. Our brains are hard-wired to believe in something other than ourselves,” said Clarke. “People will carry on believing it because I think it’s just a natural part of what we are.”
On that point, some skeptics and some believers agree. There’s a long history of anomalous experiences attributed to angels, fairies, gods, and monsters — nonhuman contact experiences made to fit a cultural context. Those experiences point to something common in human consciousness. “We have had experiences throughout history that demonstrate that we are connected to something greater than ourselves,” Guiley said.
Or maybe not. In 1979, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet James Merrill published “Mirabell: Books of Number,” a work transcribing the poet’s conversations with spirits using a Ouija board. “If the spirits aren’t external, how astonishing the mediums become!” he said in an interview. The implication is perhaps disappointing — it’s not spirits, it’s not aliens, it’s just us — but also beautiful. And useful. “Investing time and money into why people have these kinds of extraordinary experiences might help us to answer fundamental questions that we don’t have answers for, like why do we have consciousness? I don’t believe in aliens, but I do believe that something unusual is happening to these people and it ought to be studied,” said Clarke.
Solving those riddles takes a lot of serious work, leads to a lot of dead ends, and might not prove satisfying even if we arrive at answers. Which is why, in the end, it may just be easier to attribute to aliens all the many wonderful things that we simply do not understand about the condition of being human.

The MJ-12 documents are an eight-page memo dated November 18, 1952, outlining the establishment of a secret group by outgoing President Harry Truman. The memo was prepared for President-elect Dwight Eisenhower.
The document simply describes the fact that the U.S. government recovered a crashed alien spacecraft and bodies in 1947 outside of Roswell, New Mexico. It also states that another crash occurred in Texas near the Mexican border in 1950. At that time Truman established a group known as Majestic-12, sometimes referred to as MJ-12. The purpose of the group was to determine how to handle the implications of the Roswell incident and the existence of extraterrestrial beings. The original members of the group were the very top people in government and science. Since they have all died and the names may not be familiar to you, a list of who they were and what positions they held is included.

Where Did the Documents Come From? The MJ-12 documents were received on a roll of undeveloped 35mm film by UFO researcher Jaime Shandera in 1984. Shandera had earlier worked with a group of military intelligence personnel who referred to themselves as the "Insiders," who had expressed a desire to have the true facts about flying saucers released to the public.
The documents are the first to uncover the true facts of the dramatic UFO/alien body crash recovery that occurred at Roswell. The story of the investigation of the MJ-12 documents alone could fill a book, and did (see below).

The Controversy The MJ-12 documents have undergone intense scrutiny both by people who claim they are genuine and by those who claim they are fake. Complicating matters is the fact that the actual paper documents have never been available for examination. Instead, there are only photos of the documents which Shandera received on a roll of film.
Clearing the Smoke After clearing the smoke, here is what remains: The preponderance of evidence leans heavily towards those who think the documents are genuine. The research on the "real" side is more thorough.
The side arguing that the documents are fake have made several lightweight claims, most of which were easily refuted by research. In fact, the "fake" side, led by known UFO debunker Philip Klass, had to pay off a $1,000 bet when Klass'claims that certain parts of the document were fake were disproved. The check was written out to Stanton Friedman. Friedman has kept copies of the cancelled check, and made them available for all to see.
Here is the key point: Even if the documents had been faked the research into confirming their authenticity led to finding 160 eyewitnesses who saw or handled wreckage or bodies from the crashed flying saucer! Many of these eyewitnesses have signed sworn affidavits. Others have given what amounts to dying declarations, both allowable as evidence in any court of law in the United States. In addition, all their stories fit together like the workings of a fine watch. Their time frames all line up, as do their descriptions. The evidence that the crash at Roswell really did occur is now so overwhelming that the MJ-12 documents are just a confirmation of the event.
The Double Reverse In another effort to authenticate the MJ-12 papers, one researcher used a unique but effective approach. Lee Graham, an aerospace worker, realized that anything stamped "Top Secret" (like the MJ-12 papers) fell under government security regulations; specifically, Department of Defense regulation 5200.1-R, which requires government employees or government-contracted workers to report any leak or breach of security with Top Secret documents. The forging or faking of Top Secret documents is also a violation of this statute.
The FBI Checks Them Out Graham reported the MJ-12 documents as being either stolen or forged. The FBI spent over one year investigating whether these documents were forged or not. The FBI concluded two things:
First, if the MJ-12 papers were forged, it was an incredible forgery, unlike any they had ever seen in the past. The details of the people and events from fifty years ago were absolutely accurate and coincided with their internal documents.
And second, if the documents were real, they could not get any part of the U.S. government to acknowledge that they had lost them.

In 1949 he committed a very mysterious suicide. There was talk that he didn't want to hide the truth about flying saucers from the public. His suicide was considered to be just as weird in his day as the Vince Foster suicide was during the Clinton administration.

“I don’t know whether this story has ever been told or not. They weren’t called UFOs. They were called enemy helicopters. And they were only seen at night and they were only seen in certain places. They were seen up around the DMZ [demilitarized zone] in the early summer of ’68. And this resulted in quite a little battle. And in the course of this, an Australian destroyer took a hit and we never found any enemy, we only found ourselves when this had all been sorted out. And this caused some shooting there, and there was no enemy at all involved but we always reacted, always after dark.” The same thing happened up at Pleiku at the Highlands in ’69.”

As Executive Officer he took part in the famous low-level bombing raid against oil refineries at Ploesti, Romania, on August 1st, 1943. The 93rd Group was the second of five B-24 groups which raided Ploesti from a temporary base at Benghazi, Libya. The 93d Group, led by its commander, flew directly into heavy defenses to hit three of the six target refineries. The lead plane and 10 others were shot down or crashed on the target. General Brown, then a major, took over the lead of the battered 93rd and led it back to Benghazi. He received the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions on that mission.
Editor’s Note: As an Intelligence officer, I briefed General Brown in Saigon, Vietnam almost every morning at 7th Air Force Headquarters during 1968. He treated all ranks with respect, and was always friendly even when I was just a Captain. Later, he became Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1978 to 1982 and was well aware of UFOs.
US State Department Cables WarnDo Not Discuss UFOs entering Earth orbit
Gordon James Gianninoto writes, I had brought this up first when Julian Assange mentioned there wereUFOs mentioned in state department official cables. Nothing much has transpired since he admitted he had seen such cables, and that they existed.
Now I learn that our favorite freedom of information activist pursuing the US government documents concerning UFOs, Larry Bryant has identified one such cable dated from November of 2005 in which the US State Department specifically instructed US Embassy personnel in the Ukraine NOT discuss ‘UFOs entering Earth Orbit’, or concerns the Department of Defense has with such matters.
According to the contents of a U. S. State Department “cable” message recently acquired from the Wikileaks… huge cache of such official communications, certain State officials have warned their personnel to refrain from discussing (even among themselves) the reality that planet Earth apparently is being reconnoitered by alien spacecraft (aka UFOs). The document in question, dated Nov. 9, 2005, reportedly was sent to a diplomat at the U. S. embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, stating:
“It is critical all embassy staff understand that they are not to discuss under any circumstance concerns DOD [U. S. Department of Defense] has with UFOs entering orbit, once again the seriousness of this matter cannot be overstated.”

DSP Satellite FastWalkers (UFOs)
The Defense Support Program (DSP) satellite has been detecting FastWalkers (UFOs) entering our atmosphere for decades. The DSP analyzes the temperature, location and trajectory of a hot infrared source could build up both a description of the type of missile as well as its target dramatically reducing the chances of a surprise ICBM attack. The satellite weighed about 2,000 pounds and had a 12-foot long Schmidt infrared telescope with a linear array of 2,048 lead sulfide detectors that detected infrared energy. The satellite rotated six times per minute as the sensor “scanned” the entire face of the Earth. The sensor provided below-the-horizon coverage by spotting the missile’s exhaust plume and carried sensors for detecting nuclear explosions in the atmosphere. The first DSP satellite was launched from Cape Canaveral on November 6, 1970, atop a Titan 3C rocket.
By late June 1973, the four DSP satellites in orbit had detected a total of 1,014 missile launches. They had proven quite successful and had relieved some of the tension that was always present during the Cold War. DSP also presented some surprises to its operators. The satellites began detecting infrared returns within and above the atmosphere that were entering and leaving the atmosphere. Some of these returns were caused by sunlight reflecting off the satellites or meteorites and these events were soon designated “Fast Walkers.“. DSP satellites, which are operated by the Air Force Space Command, detect missile or spacecraftlaunches and nuclear explosions using sensors that detect the infrared emissions from these intense sources of heat. During Desert Storm, for example, DSP was able to detect the launches of Iraqi Scudmissiles and provide timely warnings to civilians and military forces in Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Warrant Officer Joe Stefula reports, “Our DSP satellites track the launch of various missiles using various types of sensors but chiefly with Infrared sensors. In addition to the missiles the sensors also are able to pick up unidentified flying objects that are entering and leaving our atmosphere called Fast.Walkers” UFO buffs were able to correlate ground UFO reports with ascending and descending UFOs
Slower anomalous objects are referred to has Slowwalkers. The DSP satellite system once composed of 18 units in deep space orbit picks up several UFO intruders or “FastWalkers” ascending and descending severaltimes a week. AeroJet General engineer and MUFON member Ron Regehr, helped design the satellites. Insiders report there is a great deal of excitement as the UFOs sometimes trigger the early warning system. Often they are referred to as Uncorrelated Targets indicating they are not in the computer data base for all known objects in space.
Editor’s Note – Uncorrelated targets coming into and leaving the atmosphere are picked up several times a week. Correlated targets are various types of space junk tracked and kept in Air Force computers while uncorrelated targets are unknowns. Our Earth is an oasis in space and UFOs likely stop for resupply, relaxation and recreation.

The People [London] reports, “This is the top secret air force base which a former defense chief believes is used to spy on alien activity above Britain [photo’ shows two radomes positioned close to perimeter fence at RAF Feltwell”
Lord Hill-Norton, chief of the defence staff in the Seventies, is convinced that a United States Air Force squadron in Suffolk [on the Norfolk/Suffolk County border and 70 crow miles NNE of London — G¬] is tracking UFOs which may threaten Earth. “There’s something fishy at the base and I am puzzled,” he told me. “I have asked a number of questions about the base and never get a satisfactory answer.” The Ministry of Defence did admit that RAF Feltwell has a special US unit “Tracking man-made objects in deep space”. But it refused to answer Hill-Norton’s question about how many objects “remain unidentified and how many of these were transmitting a signal” citing the need for secrecy.
A MoD spokesman said: “We are entitled to refuse certain information on topics which we consider to be sensitive.” But he did admit that UFOs would be tracked if they were spotted. “They need to catalogue everything up in space,” he added. Officially, the US 5th Space Surveillance Squadron (5thh SSS) is part of Britain’s early warning system to protect against missile attack from space. But Lord Hill-Norton will not accept that it is there purely to defend us against earthling enemies. “For a start, there are no man-made objects in inter-stellar space. So I want to know what they are really doing. “And I want to know what the Government is doing about the UFO problem. “There are things flying about in our atmosphere and we don’t know what they are, who directs them or what their purpose might be. We ought to know.” Lord Hill-Norton believes that UFOs are the product of “extra-terrestrial intelligence’s”. Lockheed Martin’s Space Fence solution, an advanced ground-based radar system, will enhance the way the U.S. detects catalogs and measures more than 200,000 orbiting objects. With better timeliness and improved surveillance coverage, the system will protect space assets against Lockheed Martin Builds Space Fence
Lockheed Martin is currently developing its technology solution for Space Fence, a program that will revamp the way the U.S. Air Force identifies and potential crashes that can intensify the debris problem in space.
“Space Fence will locate and track space objects with more precision than ever before to help the Air Force transform space situational awareness from being reactive to predictive.”
Lockheed Martin will deliver up to two advanced S-Band phased array radars for the Space Fence program. The Space Fence radar system will greatly improve Space Situational Awareness of the existing Space Surveillance Network.

Data collected from a new space fence’s sensors would potentially feed into the joint space operations center mission system, which is used to track objects orbiting the earth, monitor space weather and assess foreign launches. Used by operators at the 614th Air And Space Operations Center at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., the 614 aoc’s 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week support provides vigilance of global and theater operations and equips the joint functional component command for space operations with the tools to conduct command and control of space forces.A new Space Fence is envisioned to be a system of two or three S-band ground-based radars designed to perform uncued detection, tracking and accurate measurement of orbiting space objects. The Space Fence is intended to replace the Air Force Space Surveillance System, or VHF Fence, that was transferred from the Navy to the Air Force in 2004. The shorter wavelength of the S-band Space Fence allows for detection of much smaller satellites and debris.
Note: Last September I visited Vandenberg AFB and was surprize3d to see multiple rocket launch sites.
UFOs a Threat to Argentina
BUENOS AIRES — Argentina’s Air Force has said it has received many reports of sightings by pilots and radar of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that are a ‘potential threat to national air security’. The Air Force said often combat planes have reported following strange objects in the skies above Argentina.
Even the local media have reported that dozens of photos reach their offices regarding alleged UFOs. The Air Force press office said the country’s military unit will set up a multi-disciplinary commission to investigate such UFO sightings, Prensa Latina reported. The commission will be made up of specialists from the meteorological service, pilots, astronomers, doctors and radar and land experts.
On May 9, 2013, there was a sighting of a very big UFO in Neuquén that was seen as well in Chile around the same time. This is a sighting very similar to the one of a very big UFO with blinking lights very similar to at least a) the sighting earlier in 2012 Santiago de Chile and also very similar to b) a sighting on March, 13th 1997 in Phoenix. California Orbs
Joshua Tree — On June 4, 2016 by Kristie Cowans at Contact in the Desert UFO Conference: Around 10:00 in the evening.There was a small airport south of us and a Marine Base northeast of us- but all the activity came from the west going due east. At Orion Lookout we set up for our CE-5 protocols. One of us was filming, and I was spotting with Celestron stargazing binoculars and a green laser. As we began I was able to spot many stars, planets, planes and satellites. There was a parade of 7 orbs/UFOs flying faster than satellites and as high as planes from west over the mountains and disappearing to the east. The orbs were a defused soft green, soft red, and soft lilac blue. They gave us quite a show! We pointed our laser pointers and flashed them 3xs and they flashed us back! The 2nd, 3ed, , & 4th ones formed a triangle configuration as they passed us! The crowd of around 100 people went wild with cheers, clapping, and jumping up and down. At this time I did feel a “heart” connection, thanking them and sending love to them. Sadly, my friend that was recording came up with just audio, however a documentary over on Melinda Leslies side got footage of all the activity. Not only are they here, it appears they are friendly! The orbs/UFOs, were large enough to be seen with the unaided eye, quite large actually and looked like an orb of soft diffused light. The orbs/UFOs glowed with one single light (unlike recreational and military drones that glow with 2 or more). The type of glow was unlike anything I have ever seen in my research on military drones. Harrington — I was going for my morning walk on Wednesday June 2, 2016. I walked into town, and was planning to buy some water and head home. I looked up high and it was the colors that made me notice it. And then it was tumbling and flying upward in a cartwheel-like manner. It first looked black but then I saw colors. It would flash bright blue, yellow, and red. It started off below the clouds, but as it tumbled, it was rising so that it was very high, above the clouds. I saw it tumbling. On my video, it appeared at the top to jump suddenly from one place to the other. When I finally stopped filming, it was because the drone had reversed its course. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Orlando –Very strange shape was hovering in the sky on June 9, 2016, which could very much be the moon behind cloud cover.
I’m adding photos of it unaltered and the photo I edited which gives off a lot of detail.

Dodge City — I was storm chasing and did not notice this object with my naked eye on May 24, 2016. But after looking at picture, I noticed the orange object in front of tornado at upper right. I have picture to share, raw file as well. Not sure what it is, I do not think it is lens artifact, water spot, plane, debris or bird. The object does not appear in frame right before or right after. South Deerfield — We were driving through town after a stop at Cumberland Farms on June 1, 2016. at 11:30 AM. My husband said “What is that? It looks like a giant telephone pole on, its side. We lost site for a few seconds, but I had a perfect view through the sunroof and shot with my Samsung phone. It appeared to hover and gently sway like a balloon. My pictures didn’t capture how big it was. My 18 year old son and a friend also observed it. I took several pictures but see it in only two photos. My husband offered, maybe a huge tire float display escaped, and we were viewing it from the side. I have been checking news, websites to see if anyone else saw it. Hamtramck– I was driving on I-75 on June 2, 2016, and the object didn’t look normal in the bright sky. It hovered and went east moving back and forth over the freeway in a straight line. I freaked out and then started taking pictures.

I live deep in the wilderness probably 1% of most remote locations in the lower 48 states. I let my old dog out on June 7, 2016, and wanted to make sure he did not wander as this is big cat and bear country.
I observed a nice red sky and this white blob of liquid like light came out of nowhere and hovered over a nearby home. I thought this to be most unusual and grabbed my camera.
I was less than 30 seconds getting the camera and got this one shot before the pulsating blob ejected into the sky in a millisecond. The horse seemed unaffected but the blob seemed to have left a smoke type of trail. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Bartlett – I was at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel on June 6, 2015, at a weekend conference. I broke away at 4 pm to take a quick hike up one of the ski trails behind the hotel and snapped a picture from the top. After looking closely at the picture later, I saw an object I could not identify in the air. It looks a roundish saucer with an appendage on top like an antenna? I did not see it at the time I took the picture.
I did not want to report this incident until this year’s conference so that I could take another look and picture from the same spot. When I took the original picture, I would be very interested if you could enhance this picture and let me know what you think. Thanks to MUFON CMS
New York Orb
Sherman — I was in between jobs, and staying in my parent’s garage until I could afford to get a place. My father has a security camera in the garage, so he checked it after the motion sensor went off on September 10, 2014. I woke up and my dad told me that the security camera caught something the previous night while I was sleeping. As I watched the clips from the camera, I got chills from looking at the entity/orb, especially when it seems to look over the car at me. We are an extremely skeptical family, so we tried replicating the orb seen on the video with laser pointers from every window, flashlights from every direction. We even tied a dead spider to the end of a string and held it in front of the camera. What we noticed though, was that whenever ANYTHING came in view of the camera, it would focus on that object and the background would dim just a little. When the orb comes into view, it has absolutely no effect on the background, leaving you to wonder why. It’s unlike any orb I’ve ever seen in that it acts like a shape-shifting blob of energy instead of a perfect circle. If you look closely, you can even make out a figure top-right of the orb with a head that appears to look down at me on the air mattress. This video had an enormous impact on my life and the way I view the world. I hope it can do the same for many others. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Sheffield Lake — On June 6, 2016, I saw a light hovering in the sky. and got a picture with zoom. You can see one walking away from light portal and or windshield and another picture with one standing dead center. In the second picture (not shown) look to the lower right and a blow up looks like a being floating in mid air.

Strange Alien Cubes Encounters over Texas and Antarctica
El Paso — Two mysterious cube-shaped UFO sightings have been getting a lot of attention this week. A strange cube that appears to be in a portal or vortex was photographed by witnesses in Texas while a low-flying cubic glowing orb was seen in a video feed from a station in Antarctica. The cube-shaped Texas UFO was spotted on June 29th, 2015, over El Paso. First posted anonymously, the photograph was eventually attributed to Walter C. Lance who says he first saw nothing but storm clouds. At around 1 pm, he noticed the clouds swirl into a portal or vortex shape. As the center turned black, he took a series of pictures with his cell phone. While the original photos taken at a distance show a fuzzy cube shape, of the close-ups appear to be enhanced and others seem to be a different cubic or rectangular UFO. After his posting, another anonymous witness released a picture she took at about the same time of what appears to be the same or similar cube UFO. She also reported hearing a humming sound. Another image of the El Paso cube UFO taken by a second witness. As expected with a report with little information on such an odd (or some might say menacing) UFO, speculations on what it might be or where it came from are running rampant. Meanwhile, a photo from what appears to be an observation web camera pointed at Davis Station in Antarctica shows a low-altitude glowing orb that is somewhat cube-shaped. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Spokane– I was standing outside smoking a cigarette on June 4, 2016, and what I thought was a street lamp turned out to be a dancing flame like orb in the west. It scared me, and stood there and “danced” for at least and hour. It was just below Mars. Clendenin — What is the truth about Aliens and Extraterrestrials? Do these creatures exist out there? If they do exist, are they more advanced than humans? Since then, humanity has looked at the stars and still wondered. If you’ve read some books on UFOs, you may be wondering why it is such a big deal for the military and governmental forces to protect the people by hiding the truth. A West Virginia witness in Clendenin, reported watching a triangle-shaped mysterious object “the size of a mountain.” The sighting was seen by the witness along with her 31-year-old son on May 24, 2016, at 9:30 p.m.
At first, they noticed a ball of light streaking in from the west. Seconds later, it abruptly stopped. For over a two-hour period, it stayed until it slowly moves towards the east. The witness started to see the sheer mass of the object after it cleared the western trees. According to the witness, three white lights underneath it were moving with it. The witness could see a triangular shape of the object as the moon brightened. He added that it was so big that it bears a resemblance to a mountain moving through the sky. Australia Object near Sun
Na— The object shown in the attachments were recorded by NASA next to the Sun on May 17, 2016. I was looking at some past images from the SOHO satellite today and noticed the object positioned to the lower left of the Sun.
I was intrigued enough to analyse the image further and the result leads me to strongly suspect that the object is not any naturally derived phenomenon. In other words it could be a craft of some sort. It appears to have wing-like structures. The image is blurry, but nevertheless, due to its shape could not be confused with a planet for instance. Dauphin, Manitoba— This is my second time May 18, 2016 waking up with these marks on May 18, 2016. The last time was about 12 to 14 years ago. This UFO was recorded and is on video, on June 2, 2016; however the video is only on Facebook so click here to view it. The UFOs do appear similar to real UFOs seen in the past in the sky. I do have some reservations about UFOs being recorded through windows, because windows can reflect light as you are recording and thus make a UFO appear as though it’s real. An Alleged UFO over Guayaquil on May 30, a video posted to Facebook exceeded 52,000 hits. According to the person posting (Boris Tacle Lopez), the clip showed a “flying saucer”. Isfahan and Kasha – I was visiting the country of Iran, driving back on the passenger side of the car going from the city of Isfahan to the city of Tehran on June 1, 2016. I noticed some odd vertical dust lines in the horizon something that I never seen before. I decided to take a picture of the event, I did not noticed at the time I only saw it after I came back to my hotel room and saw the picture. I was able to take 2 pictures of the object and 4 more from the odd vertical lines that actually shifted angles after the object passed by. Thanks to MUFON CMS
Serbia Triangles
Zrenjanin — I was in my backyard looking with my wife thru the Meade etx-70 telescope. I was looking for M51 whirlpool galaxy when noticed triangle shaped silhouette hovering on August 12, 2015. Then suddenly the triangle changed direction to the east, then stopped. I called my wife to see and we were able to track that one object for about 15 minutes. Then another triangle shaped UFO came right next to the first one and both had lights, all around object. We saw clearly that both of them were triangle shaped UFO’s. Then for about 50 minutes we were able to track them. Then we lost them because they were so fast, and flew in unpredictable directions.They made sharp turns with sudden stops. We saw them with the telescope, so I don’t know that they were in our atmosphere or in space.It looked like a B2 airplane or F117. My wife was excited since it was the first time to see UFOs. I watched the first of the ISS, and then after some time noticed a bright object fly from the south to the northwest.

Denizli — This UFO was seen over the mountains of Turkey in early June 2016, and it does look like a dark disk. This is the classic disk shape and has been seen two times recently. News states: Today at noon an object in the skies of Denizli was seen, it brought to mind the possibility of UFOs. It was an issue that the UFO again appeared in Denizli. Earlier it was seen in Pamukkale and thought to be a reflected image onto the TV camera, but this time it was recorded by a private citizen named Ahmed. The pictures were taken in front of the Pamukkale travertine as Özel at 17:40 hours. An unidentified flying object was seen over Travertine. After a while the object was seen moving across the sky to settle over the ancient theater before it slowly disappeared. Ahmed stated, “Well, I do not want you to panic, but I took this photo with my own camera and I do not understand.” Scott C. Waring Website

London — I was in a park, enjoying the first warm day this year on May 7, 2016. I looked at the sky and thought ‘what a nice weather and clouds. Then noticed bright blue lights that just stayed there so I thought what if those are aliens? There’s just sooooo much info being put out there about aliens, so I kind of smiled at the idea. It started moving and startled me a bit (kind of got freaked out by the idea of it really being the aliens). It moved in a straight line and took out my phone, took a while to open the camera (didn’t want to take my eyes off of the object), took a picture. Observed the object for a few more minutes, taking a picture (with trembling hands, I might add)). Then the object disintegrated into thin air. On the spotlights just faded and that’s it. There was nothing there. Sent the picture through whatsapp to my friends. They thought it was incredible moving against the wind faster than the clouds. Basically, we all came to a conclusion that it was cool. Could it be some kind of military deal? Not sure if anyone else saw this, but would’ve been great if someone did. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Could We Build 'Star Trek's' Starship Enterprise?

Since its first appearance on the original "Star Trek" series in 1966, the starship Enterprise has become a symbol for space travel. Recently, an anonymous engineerclaimed that an approximation of this iconic ship could be built in the next two decades. But just how close is mankind to zipping through the stars at warp speed?
On the website BuildTheEnterprise.org, a self-proclaimed engineer who identifies himself only as "BTE-Dan" suggests that a working facsimile of the iconic ship could be built and launched over the next 20 to 30 years. The ship would require a few modifications, but would look a great deal like Captain Kirk's famous ship.
Built in space, the ship would never visit the surface of any moon or planet, and so would never need to reach the high speeds necessary to escape surface gravity. The engines would be powered by nuclear reactors onboard the ship, and use argon rather than xenon for propellant, saving a few hundred billion dollars in cost. As an added bonus, BTE-Dan notes that argon can be mined from the atmosphere of Mars.
Although such a ship would a lack a warp drive (the technology that allows the "Star Trek" version to zip between stars across the galaxy), it could reach the moon in three days and Mars in three months. BTE-Dan suggests it might function as a combination of a space station and a space port, allowing humans to orbit planets and moons within the solar system while using a "universal lander" to travel to and from their surfaces. Such a spaceship could house 1,000 people within its gravity wheel. [The Top 10 Star Trek Technologies]
The entire ship would be more than 3,000 feet (almost 1 kilometer) long, with its central disk making up nearly half its length.
According to the website, much of the technology needed to build the ship described is within our grasp, including the rotating gravity wheel, which could be suspended by electromagnets within a vacuum to eliminate mechanical wear and tear. Also easily within reach, he claims, are a 1.5 GWe (gigawatt electrical) nuclear reactor safe to carry in a spacecraft, and composite materials that would save mass, add strength and improve radiation shielding.

Design challenges
BTE-Dan describes himself as a systems and electrical engineer who has spent the past 30 years employed at a Fortune 500 company. He is presently declining interviews.
Though the prospect of a real-life Enterprise is appealing, the proposed ship is not without problems.
Adam Crowl, an engineer with Icarus Interstellar Inc., a nonprofit foundation dedicated to interstellar exploration, pointed out that a spaceship built with a sufficiently powerful nuclear reactor would need large thermal radiators, ruining the classic Enterprise look.
"Engineering physics doesn't respect our aesthetics," he told SPACE.com by email.
BTE-Dan's ship is essentially an iconic replica of the famous starship, and may not be practical.
"I would love to see 1,000 people go to Mars, but I need convincing that they need to be on the Enterprise to do so," said Crowl.
Other engineers said the similarities between BTE-Dan's ship and the Enterprise are only skin-deep.
"He wants to build something using foreseeable technology that just looks like the Enterprise," said Marc Millis, an aerospace engineer at NASA's Glenn Research Center. "It's nowhere close to being what the Enterprise is."
Still, the site received so many visits soon after its launch that it crashed, revealing how appealing the idea is to many people.
Star Trek: Lost Enterprise - Episode 1 " The Discovery"
Though some aspects of the Enterprise are far out of reach today, many are within our grasp, and some are part of our daily lives. Sliding doors, futuristic in the 1960s, now welcome almost every grocery store visitor, and today's flip-open cellphones resemble Star Trek's tricorders. The touch-screen devices ubiquitous today even look like those used in the 1990s episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
"If you had shown someone an iPad in the 1990s and told them it was 23rd century technology, they would have believed you," Richard Obousy, co-founder and president of Icarus Interstellar Inc., told SPACE.com.
Advances with 3D printers also provide opportunities for voyages through space, allowing the replication of parts while using materials found at the destination. Andreas Hein, an aerospace engineer also with Icarus Interstellar, suggested that it might not be long before such printers make food similar to the way meals were synthesized by replicators on the Enterprise.
Additionally, engineers working at NASA's Advanced Propulsion Physics Laboratory, informally known as Eagleworks, are working on a Q-thruster that bears a striking resemblance to the impulse engines on the Enterprise.
Nuclear woes
Millis suggested the next step in rocket propulsion will likely include utilizing a nuclear power source, an option that is stymied by the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. He acknowledged that the barriers aren't just political ones, as people are nervous about the idea of launching nuclear rockets from Earth's surface, despite the fact that it could be done safely.
Obousy agreed that nuclear rockets could provide the necessary thrust, pointing to the large, multibillion-dollar projects around the world seeking ways to unlock fusion as an energy source. Of course, such projects primarily focus on powering homes and cities on Earth, but once unlocked, fusion could be used to travel through the stars. [Gallery: Visions of Future Human Spaceflight]
"In terms of propulsion technology, fusion engines are potentially within a generation or two," Obousy said, though he added that sudden technological jumps could accelerate the process.
Visiting a planet without being seen may also be not too far out of reach.
"We're doing things with meta-materials that'll allow practical cloaking, maybe even invisibility," Crowl said.
Gravity presents one of the greatest challenges: The Enterprise of television and the movies lacks a gravity wheel, instead utilizing synthetic gravity. According to Millis, if we could find a way to master gravitational forces, such technology could also be utilized in tractor beams or the ship's propulsion.

Star Trek's faster-than-light warp drive is an idea that even serious scientists don't want to let go of.
"Star Trek"-like propulsion remains a key problem. Fans are familiar with the warp drive, which accelerated the ship faster than the speed of light and allowed its crew to zip between stars. Such travel defies our present understanding of physics.
"I think this is one of the most important aspects that prevents an Enterprise-type ship in the near future," Hein said.
Obousy agreed. "One of the staples of these warp drives is that they require an exotic form of energy that we have not been able to create in the labs, dark energy being the salient example," he said.
Dark energy is the unexplained force behind the accelerated expansion of the universe. Scientists don't yet understand what it is, which makes it a challenge to use in propulsion.
A warp drive would require an enormous amount of energy. Theoretical calculations using dark energy to move a starship would require more energy than that contained within the planet Jupiter, making it uneconomical.
In the "Star Trek" universe, the warp drive relied on antimatter. When matter and antimatter annihilate one another, the energy produced is immense. Though such an energy source could conceivably power the ship, it is available only briefly.
Crowl pointed out that antimatter technology itself is developing rapidly. Ultra-high intensity lasers may soon allow it to be directly created from energy, and useful amounts may be trapped in the magnetic fields of planets like Earth and Saturn.
But, like dark energy, antimatter may prove to be more trouble than it's worth.
"Using antimatter right now is very expensive," Millis said. "But that doesn't mean that it always will be."
When mankind finally travels to the stars, we may have to forgo warp speed for something else, such as the manipulation of space-time itself. According to Albert Einstein, nothing in the universe can travel faster than the speed of light. But Millis points out that such limits do not necessarily apply to space-time. Theories in peer-reviewed journals explore the possibility of surrounding a craft with a bubble of space-time that expands and contracts, perhaps allowing it to exceed the speed of light.
"It's the difference between moving a pencil across a piece of paper or moving the whole paper," Millis said. [Video: Warp Drives and Worm Holes]
Beam me up, Scotty
Another potential challenge to recreating the "Star Trek" universe is the system of matter transmission. The crew often traveled to a planet by transporter, beaming from the Enterprise directly to the surface by way of machines that could scan a body, atom-by-atom, and then recreate it in another place.
Recent advances have been made in quantum teleportation, but Obousy and Millis both stressed the difference from "Star Trek"-style travel.
In quantum teleportation, "it's not the same photon you started out with, but a replica," said Obousy.
Such travel would require enormous precision.
"If you were going to recreate a human being transported from one place to another, you'd want to make sure everything's in the exact place," he said.
Millis suggested that, rather than matter transmission, scientists might one day learn how to utilize very small wormholes for travel.
"Of course, if you put mass through it, it might make the wormhole collapse," he noted.
Ultimately, the greatest challenge to replicating the Star Trek journeys may not come from the technological front.
"One of the things that I really liked about watching [the show] was the very good behavior of the crew," Millis said. "The prejudices and petty human differences that make up so much of television are pretty much absent. When I think about relative impossibilities, I think it will be easier to make technology for the starship Enterprise than to finally make humans behave that honorably."

Astrophysics is a branch of space science that applies the laws of physics and chemistry to explain the birth, life and death of stars, planets, galaxies, nebulae and other objects in the universe. It has two sibling sciences, astronomy and cosmology, and the lines between them blur.
In the most rigid sense:
Astronomy measures positions, luminosities, motions and other characteristics
Astrophysics creates physical theories of small to medium-size structures in the universe
Cosmology does this for the largest structures, and the universe as a whole.
In practice, the three professions form a tight-knit family. Ask for the position of a nebula or what kind of light it emits, and the astronomer might answer first. Ask what the nebula is made of and how it formed and the astrophysicist will pipe up. Ask how the data fit with the formation of the universe, and the cosmologist would probably jump in. But watch out — for any of these questions, two or three may start talking at once!
Goals of astrophysics
Astrophysicists seek to understand the universe and our place in it. At NASA, the goals of astrophysics are "to discover how the universe work, explore how it began and evolved, and search for life on planets around other stars," according NASA's website.
NASA states that those goals produce three broad questions:
How does the universe work?
How did we get here?
Are we alone?
It began with Newton
While astronomy is one of the oldest sciences, theoretical astrophysics began with Isaac Newton. Prior to Newton, astronomers described the motions of heavenly bodies using complex mathematical models without a physical basis. Newton showed that a single theory simultaneously explains the orbits of moons and planets in space and the trajectory of a cannonball on Earth. This added to the body of evidence for the (then) startling conclusion that the heavens and Earth are subject to the same physical laws. [Related: How Isaac Newton Changed the World]
Perhaps what most completely separated Newton’s model from previous ones is that it is predictive as well as descriptive. Based on aberrations in the Newtonian orbit of Uranus, astronomers predicted the position of a new planet, which was then observed and named Neptune. Being predictive as well as descriptive is the sign of a mature science, and astrophysics is in this category.
Milestones in astrophysics
Because the only way we interact with distant objects is by observing the radiation they emit, much of astrophysics has to do with deducing theories that explain the mechanisms that produce this radiation, and provide ideas for how to extract the most information from it. The first ideas about the nature of stars emerged in the mid-19th century from the blossoming science of spectral analysis, which means observing the specific frequencies of light that particular substances absorb and emit when heated. Spectral analysis remains essential to the triumvirate of space sciences, both guiding and testing new theories.
Early spectroscopy provided the first evidence that stars contain substances also present on Earth. Spectroscopy revealed that some nebulae are purely gaseous, while some contain stars. This later helped cement the idea that some nebulae were not nebulae at all — they were other galaxies!
In the early 1920s, Cecilia Payne discovered, using spectroscopy, that stars are predominantly hydrogen (at least until their old age). The spectra of stars also allowed astrophysicists to determine the speed at which they move toward or away from Earth. Just like the sound a vehicle emits is different moving toward us or away from us, because of the Doppler shift, the spectra of stars will change in the same way. In the 1930s, by combining the Doppler shift and Einstein’s theory of general relativity, Edwin Hubble provided solid evidence that the universe is expanding. This is also predicted by Einstein’s theory, and together form the basis of the Big Bang Theory.
Also in the mid-19th century, the physicists Lord Kelvin (William Thomson) and Gustav Von Helmholtz speculated that gravitational collapse could power the sun, but eventually realized that energy produced this way would only last 100,000 years. Fifty years later, Einstein’s famous E=mc2 equation gave astrophysicists the first clue to what the true source of energy might be (although it turns out that gravitational collapse does play an important role). As nuclear physics, quantum mechanics and particle physics grew in the first half of the 20th century, it became possible to formulate theories for how nuclear fusion could power stars. These theories describe how stars form, live and die, and successfully explain the observed distribution of types of stars, their spectra, luminosities, ages, and other features.
Astrophysics is the physics of stars and other distant bodies in the universe, but it also hits close to home. According to the Big Bang Theory, the first stars were almost entirely hydrogen. The nuclear fusion process that energizes them smashes together hydrogen atoms to form the heavier element helium. In 1957, the husband-and-wife astronomer team of Geoffrey and Margaret Burbidge, along with physicists William Alfred Fowler and Fred Hoyle, showed how, as stars age, they produce heavier and heavier elements, which they pass on to later generations of stars in ever-greater quantities. It is only in the final stages of the lives of more recent stars that the elements making up the Earth, such as iron (32.1 percent), oxygen (30.1 percent), silicon (15.1 percent), are produced. Another of these elements is carbon, which together with oxygen, make up the bulk of the mass of all living things including us. Thus, astrophysics tells us that, while we are not all stars, we are all stardust.

A UFO expert has made a shocking revelation about a famous British extra-terrestrial encounter.
Gary Heseltine, from Scholes, Holmfirth, claims aliens who visited RAF Bentwater in Suffolk in 1980 were interested in a “secret stash” of nuclear weapons.
Dubbed as the “British Roswell”, the site was claimed to have been visited by UFOs over three nights that December.
Gary was at the airbase while making a documentary.
Gary, who himself has served in the RAF, says witness
Colonel Charles Halt told him at the scene that the UFO had “shone a beam on the weapons storage area (WSA)”, which “had more nuclear missiles than anywhere else in Europe”.
He claims he was told the secret while touring at the site for a documentary which was never finished.

Gary, 56, said: “It was the year Russia invaded Poland who were threatening to break from the Soviet regime, and the US Middle East hostage crisis.
“It was a tense time which would explain why they had weapons.”
The claims have been backed up by Gary’s wife Lynn, who had joined the pair during filming.
Gary has now come forward with the theory after watching a documentary on UFO sightings at nuclear bases, suggesting other life forms may be interested in the weapons.
“It’s no coincidence that UFOs were turning up at that base”, Gary added.
Col Halt and the UK government have previously denied the base was holding deadly weapons.
