Het is een kandidaat voor de helderste en krachtigste explosie die ooit werd waargenomen. Maar wat is het? Het opvlammende lichtvlekje werd vorig jaar in juni ontdekt door de All Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASASSN) en ASASSN-15lh (bijnaam ‘de moordenaar’) gedoopt.
De bron, die zich op zo’n drie miljard lichtjaar van ons bevindt, leek ongelooflijk helder voor iets wat op zo’n grote afstand plaatsvond: ruwweg 200 maal helderder dan een gemiddelde supernova en 20 maal helderder dan het licht van de honderden miljarden sterren in de Melkweg bij elkaar.
Als licht door ASASSN-15lh in deze hoeveelheid in alle richtingen evenredig werd uitgezonden, zou het de krachtigste explosie betreffen die ooit werd vastgelegd. Men kent geen enkel stellair object dat zo een krachtige explosie kan veroorzaken. Astronomen breken zich dan ook het hoofd over welk onbekend type ster hier ten onder is gegaan.

In zes maanden tijd gaf het object meer energie dan onze zon in 10 zonnelevens zou doen, aldus hoofdonderzoeker Krysztof Stanek van de Universiteit van Ohio. “Als deze gebeurtenis plaatsvond in de Melkweg, zou het licht helderder schijnen dan de volle maan.”
De kolossale supernova, die 570 miljard keer helderder is dan onze zon, kan volgens wetenschappers de kijk op supernova’s veranderen. $10,000 reward offered to decipher Roswell UFO memo
Last week UFO researcher and author Kevin Randle posted news of a $10,000 reward for anyone who can decipher the text of a memo seen in a picture of what is supposedly debris from the Roswell UFO crash site. Some UFO researchers doubt the debris in the photo is actually from the object that crashed outside Roswell in July, 1947, and believe the text in the memo proves it.
The photograph in question shows General Roger Ramey in his office at Fort Worth Army Air Field, later known as Carswell Air Force Base. He is holding a memo and crouching over debris he claims was from the Roswell crash site, and that he was able to identify as a weather balloon.

Only hours prior to the photos being taken, the public information officer at Roswell Army Air Field, at the behest of his superior officer, Colonel William Blanchard, sent out a press release claiming that they had discovered debris from a crashed flying saucer. Jesse Marcel, the intelligence officer who was dispatched to inspect and collect the material a day earlier, was order to fly himself and the material to Fort Worth.

Upon arriving in Fort Worth, he was escorted to Ramey’s office where a photographer and Ramey’s chief of staff, Colonel Thomas Dubious, were waiting. On the floor was material that Marcel later said was obviously from a weather balloon. However, according to Marcel, this was not the material he had collected in New Mexico.

The three men then had pictures taken with the weather balloon debris. The pictures were then used in articles claiming that a mistake had been made, and the flying saucer had actually turned out to be a weather balloon. Marcel says he was ordered to go along with the story, and like a good soldier, he did what he was told, no questions asked.
Incidentally, Dubois also later claimed the debris in these photos were part of a cover-up. He said the weather balloon material was set out to trick the public. You can see his interview in the video below.
The weather balloon explanation was accepted by the press and the public. It was not until the 1980s, when witnesses like Marcel came forward that the incident began to catch the public’s attention. Now, as in the video below, most people have heard of the alleged Roswell UFO crash.
Due to growing public interest, and an inquiry into the matter by New Mexico Congressman Steven Schiff, the Air Force later admitted that the weather balloon explanation was a cover-up in an exhaustive reportdebunking the idea that the debris was actually from an extraterrestrial spacecraft. Their conclusion was that it was from a top secret project called Project Mogul. Mogul’s purpose was to send balloons aloft with sensitive listening devices that could detect Russian nuclear tests. They suspected Ramey switched out the debris to maintain the secrecy for Project Mogul.
However, some Roswell UFO researchers believe that Ramey’s photo is the US Air Force’s Achilles heel in the Roswell cover-up. In the photos of Ramey in his office, a memo can clearly be seen in his hands. Using modern technology to zoom in and enhance the image, in one of the pictures in particular, researchers believe some of the words can be made out. David Rudiak in particular has focused on deciphering the text, and he feels he has determined what 80% of the letters are. He says it is clear that there is a reference to a disc, and believes he can also make out a portion of a sentence that reads: “and the victims of the wreck.”
Rudiak says this proves that a disc-shaped craft was recovered. However, perhaps more startling, he says it also corroborates the claims that extraterrestrial bodies were recovered from that wreck.

In their Roswell report, the US Air Force says they also tried to decipher the text in the memo. They claim, “the photo was sent to a national-level organization for digitizing and subsequent photo interpretation and analysis.” As for the results, they wrote, “This organization reported on July 20, 1994, that even after digitizing, the photos were of insufficient quality to visualize either of the details sought for analysis.”
Many find those claims to be hard to accept. Especially after looking at a magnified version of the memo. It seems that something should be able to be deciphered. While not all researchers agree with Rudiak’s interpretation, many UFO researchers do believe there is something there. Apparently, an anonymous donor also feels strongly that there is something important to be discovered in the memo.
Randle has spent a lot of time writing about and researching the Roswell UFO crash. He has also posted many blog articles about the research into what is now referred to as the “Ramey memo.”
In a blog titled “Ramey Memo and the $10,000 Reward” posted June 16, 2016, Randle wrote: “A trusted colleague who is not a Ufologist but does have an interested in Roswell and UFOs and who has the money, has taken this in a slightly different direction. He is offering a $10,000 reward for the first person or group/lab that can provide a definite read of the Ramey memo.”
Randle continues, “To claim the reward a number of criteria will need to be met, including full reproducibility of the result (with methodology of the individual/lab completely explained and transparent so that anyone knowledgeable can replicate in much the same way that the placard on the Not Roswell Slides was revealed). There must be overwhelming agreement that the result is definitive with most of the text clear enough that there is little or no disagreement on what it says across a broad spectrum of people of all opinions whether true believer or complete skeptic.”
Some have complained that the requirements are too difficult to meet, and that there is never “little or no disagreement” among “a broad spectrum of people.” Randle argues that in the case of a photograph released last summer of an alleged alien from Roswell, the deciphering of a placard in the image was accepted by a broad spectrum. He pointed out that only those with a vested interested in the photo being an alien disagreed.
Although, the Roswell incident took place nearly 70 years ago, this memo could demonstrate that there is more to be learned about this enduring mystery. No doubt many are still curious about it. I will find out first hand as a speaker for the Roswell Daily Record’s Roswell UFO Anniversary event on July 1 and July 2. The reward will definitely give myself and my fellow UFO enthusiasts more to talk about.

Using the nuclear dating method of Dr. W.D. Urry. from the Carnegie Institution in Washington D.C., scientists discovered that Antarctica’s rivers, sources of fine-dispersed deposits, were flowing as depicted on The Orontius Finaeus map, about 6,000 years ago. About 4000 years B. C., glacial sediments started to accumulate.
Antarctica and Atlantis are two words commonly used in the same phrase. It’s not a mystery that many people firmly believe that Atlantis did, in fact, exist on Earth, and Antartica might just be the right place where we should search for Atlantis.
But while Plato was the first to write about the lost city-continent of Atlantis, its noteworthy to mention that many Native American legends are reminiscent of what Plato sustained in the distant past, reinforcing suspicion that Atlantis could have existed.
The legends of Native Americans come from different cultures separated by vast distances and isolated from one another. However, all of them tell a similar story of a once fallen civilization that existed in the distant past. In Central America, this ancient culture lived in Aztlan. According to legends, Aztlan was located to the south, on a white island and perished without warning as a result of natural catastrophic events. Many researchers maintain that Aztlan means “place of whiteness.” This is why it has commonly been connected to Atlantis and Antarctica, suggesting that Aztlan might have been the mythical Atlantis, the mythical place located to the south.

It is said that after the catastrophic events, the survivors of Atlantis fled to different continents where their ancient civilization ultimately merged with others and disappeared.
Skeptics will rush to discredit any theory linking Atlantis to Antarctica mostly because Antarctica today is a completely inhospitable and frozen environment where civilizations could not flourish. However, in remote antiquity most of Antarctica was hospitable. Proof of that is a number is enigmatic and ancient maps that depict the continent of Antarctica free of Ice. The most famous cartographical chart is without a doubt the famous Piri-Reis map, drawn by an admiral who served in the Navy of the Ancient Ottoman Empire.
Interestingly, the Piri Reis map was based on a number of even older maps which accurately trace the coastline of Antarctica WITHOUT the layer of ice that covers it today. This indicates clearly that whoever had the technology and ability to survey the continent of Antarctica must have done so thousands of years ago before the continent was frozen.
But how can a continent located to the south be free of Ice? Well, it turns out that Antarctica wasn’t always located where it is today. In fact, in the distant past, the continent of Antarctica wasn’t located at the South Pile, but instead somewhere between it and the Equator of our planet. This means that Antarctica was located farther north and experienced a tropical or temperate climate, meaning that it was covered in forests, and inhabited by various ancient life forms. What does this mean? Well… given the little we know about the life on our planet in the distant past, it is likely that people might have lived on this now, icy continent and developed as a society just like people did in Africa, Europe, and Asia.
But how was this even possible? Thanks to a scientific theory called crustal displacement.
According to mainstream scholars, and the theory of continental drift, the crust of our planet is in fact divided into several tectonic plates that literally ‘float’ over a molted inner layer, Over the ages, these plates slowly bump against one another.
However, the theory of crustal displacement which expands the theory of continental drift, approximately every 40,000 years, the entire crust of our planet shifts as a single unit. After each ‘shift’ all the land masses on our planet, including entire continents are relocated to a new position on the planet.
Many researchers believed that this happened the last time around 10,000 B.C. and caused the continent of Antarctica to move from its position near the equator to its current position, on top of the South Pole.
“I still find the idea that Antarctica was once forested absolutely mind-boggling”,
“We take it for granted that Antarctica has always been a frozen wilderness, but the ice caps only appeared relatively recently in geological history,” told Jane Francis of the University of Leeds.
Today, Antarctica is composed of around ninety-eight percent ice which is over a kilometer thick. So imagine, if in the distant past, ancient people inhabited Antarctica when it was covered with vegetation and forests, all of their “heritage” is now buried under a thick layer of ice. Even though it is uninhabitable today and only scientists venture out to Antarctica, in the distant past it might have been the perfect place for an ancient civilization to develop.

In 1949, Admiral Baird’s expedition bore holes into the Ross Sea in three spots, where Orontius Finaeus marked river-beds. In the cuts, fine-grained layers were found, obviously brought to the sea with rivers whose sources were situated in temperate latitudes (i.e. free of glaciers).The samples were taken from three different locations. 70 deg. 17′ S 178 deg. 15′ W 2,990 M deep, 69 deg. 12′ S 180 deg. S. at 3,130 M. deep, 68 deg. 26′ S 179 deg. 15’W at 3,292 M. deep. (1)
The fine-grained sediment that was found is the sort that is carried by rivers from ice-free continents. Also during the Byrd expedition of 1935 geologists made a rich discovery of fossils on the sides of Mount Weaver (Lat. 86 deg. 58’S) which included leaf and stem impressions and fossilized wood. In 1952 they identified two species of a tree fern called Glossopteris once common to southern continents (Africa, South America, and Australia.)
Core samples taken from the Ross Sea during the Byrd expedition of 1947-1948 shows glacial marine sediment from the present to 6000 years ago. From 6,000 to 15,000 the sediment is fine-grained suggests an absence of ice from the area. Then there is a zone fine-grained sediment from 30,000 to 40,000 years ago, again suggesting that the area was ice free. From 40,000 to 133,550 years ago there are two zones of coarse and two zones of medium-grained texture. While comparing the three samples, two of them show that the end of the temperate period and the beginning of the most recent glacial period started 6,000 years ago and the third just 1,000 years after that. All of this points to the undeniable fact that sometime between the 4th and 12th millennium B.C, there was an extremely advanced civilization on Earth, with great knowledge of navigation, cartography, and astronomy. Their technological advancements were way ahead of other cultures that would appear after them. This ‘lost’ civilization, most definitely preceded our modern civilization by tens of thousands of years. And many people firmly believe that this civilization could have been Atlantis, and evidence of their existence will be found beneath the thick layers of ice that currently cover the continent of Antarctica.
Emily was only a few feet away from the beings and believes she was given messages.
One of the most outstanding UFO experiences involving a group of children took place on September 16, 1994. Approximately 60 children between 5 and 12 years old were playing outside their school on the outskirts of the capital of Zimbabwe when they saw a large spaceship and several smaller craft gliding over the scrubland.
The spacecraft landed beside their playground. The children claim that they were approached by beings from the ships and that the whole encounter lasted about 15 minutes.
Emily Trim was one of those children. As a young student at the Ariel primary school near the town of Ruwa in Zimbabwe, the incident was made famous when it was covered by the BBC, who interviewed the children soon after the incident. Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John Mack traveled to the school to interview the children and recorded their extraordinary accounts.
To this day, she says, the incident still effects her. Standing only a few feet away from the beings she believes that she was given messages.
She has been painting and drawing mysterious and beautiful images she feels are a manifestation of the messages she received.

John Weiss, a ring scientist in Washington State, explained to Fusion: "There’s good evidence that there’s a lot of these sized bodies in the core of the ring itself, but you can’t normally see them because they’re covered by the dust cloud around them.
"But they’re in there, and every so often move across the ring space and blow a bunch of those dust particles out. This one was travelling faster than [three feet] per second.”
Saturn’s rings are made up of dust, rock and ice which can range massively in size from a grain of sand to a large skyscraper.

Recent images from NASA’s Curiosity rover show a strange, worm-like object underneath the surface of Mars. Alien researchers see this as further proof the planet is not the dead, radiation covered wasteland that many have claimed.

NASA did a tremendous job in naming their rover “Curiosity”. It seems throughout its tenure, all it has done is instill more curiosity for us here on Earth. The latest of these occurrences being NASA’s two newest images on Mars. The first image is nothing unusual. Just another Mars dirt clod that NASA has seen all too many times. It’s the second image however, that seems a bit mysterious. Upon closer examination, one can see what looks to be a worm-like object sifting through the dirt. Alien researchers are jumping at the chance to prove that this is hard evidence. Mars may not just home to microbial life but perhaps something much more.

As alien hunters will tell you, there is a huge collection of evidence mounting that suggests life exists on Mars. Take this alien skull for example. Besides, the spaceworm that Curiosity caught on camera, a strange object resembles a large skull was also found. This is just one of a long string of weird images captured by the rover. Of course, NASA fails to comment on any of them. Failure to produce any substantial evidence has created suspicion of alien hunter’s claims. Until that happens, the various crabs, lizards, skulls, worms and anything else found on the red planet will not be taken seriously.
LOGIC OVER CONSPIRACY
So if this space worm is nothing but conspiracy, where’s the logic? For one, there the electric universe theory. This theory suggests when two planets get close to each other, large amounts of electricity are discharged. This creates massive thunderbolts and results in the scarred surface the Curiosity rover has been seeing. Additionally, the “wormhole” could very well be the result of drilling. After all, Curiosity is there to take samples. Some believe these images are just a result of a drill sample and not a worm like a creature. This apparently logical response is not convincing alien hunters, though. It seems they’ll stop at nothing to convince the world of their conspiracy.

Humans have possible four general blood types: A, B, AB and O; this classification is derived, according to scientists from proteins which are found on the surface of cells which are designed to fight off bacteria and viruses in the human body. The vast majority of humans beings on this planet have these proteins which means they are Rh positive. But a minor group, the Rh Negative lacks these proteins. So how is this crucial difference explained scientifically? And why does it even exist? Throughout the years, several scientific studies have searched for this answer.
Now, scientists believe they have found out a fascinating thing in regards of Rh Positive and negative. According to this “scientific” theory, in the distant past, extraterrestrial beings visited the Earth and created, through “genetic manipulation,” the Rh Negative with an intention of creating a race of “slaves”.

According to investigators, this would explain why Rh negative mothers do not tolerate fetuses with RH Positive blood; thus, this radical, hard-to-explain, by most natural laws intolerance could derive from an ancient genetic modification why Rh positive and Rh negative groups tend to “repel” each other instead of merging.
This theory goes back to ancient sumerian times, when a highly advanced “alien” race came from elsewhere in the cosmos; The Anunnaki, building and creating the first human societies.
It is believed that these ancient beings planed and genetically altered primitive human species, creating stronger and more “adequate” beings that were used as slaves in the distant past.
The Rh negative would be the legacy that the Anunnaki left on Earth among other things. Interestingly, the negative RH strain is characteristic, for example, of the British royal family, which has generated controversial theories about a possible extraterrestrial lineage. although this hypothesis has not been confirmed, the disturbing questions it generates floats in the air: how civilized world would react to the fact that a small portion of the Earth’s population has a genetic code that has been altered in the distant past by highly advanced extraterrestrial beings.
What if it is possible, after all of our “skeptical” views that in the end, the Negative Rh group of people have a connection to “beings” not from earth. What if there still is, a mysterious bond that connects them? How would life on Earth change?

The Macuxi Indians are indigenous people who live in the Amazon, in countries such as Brazil, Guyana and Venezuela. According to their legends, they are the descendants of the Sun’s children, the creator of Fire and disease and the protectors of the “inner Earth.”
Their oral legends speak of an entrance into Earth. Until the year 1907, the Macuxies would enter some sort of cavern, and travel from 13 to 15 days until they reached the interior. It is there, “at the other side of the world, in the inner Earth” is where the Giants live, creatures that have around 3-4 meters in height.
According to the Macuxies they were given the task to look out for the entrance and to keep strangers from entering the “hollow Earth.” Legends from the Macuxi people state that those who enter the mysterious cavern travel for three days, only descending giant stairs, which measure around 33” each step.
After the third day, they leave behind their torches, and continue their journey “into” the Earth, illuminated by lights that were already present in the caves. Giant lanterns, the size of a watermelon and shining bright as the sun.
After 4 to 5 days of travel, those inside the cave would lose weight and corporal mass, allowing them to move much faster.
The legends of the Macuxi people state that 5 days into the caverns, they would come upon huge caverns whose ceilings could not be seen, and in one of the chambers in the cavern system, there are four “sun-like” objects which are impossible to stare at, whose purpose is unknown to the Macuxi people.
Inside the Earth, there are places where trees with food are able to grow. The Macuxi say that fruits like cajúes, oaks, mangos, bananas and some lesser plants can be found 6-7 days into their journey.
The further the Macuxi people moved into the Earth, the bigger the areas with vegetation got. But not all the areas are green and prosperous. The Macuxi people say that some places are extremely dangerous and should be avoided, like those with boiling stone and creeks of “azoge.”
The Macuxi oral traditions continue and say that after passing these giant chambers, having passed half of the journey, they need to move carefully since the mysterious “air” can cause people to “fly or float” around.
Continuing their journey, they would reach a place inside the Earth where the Giants lived. There, the Macuxi explorers would eat the food of the giants, where apples the size of human heads would grow, grapes the size of a humans fist, and delicious and giant fish were caught by the giants and given to the Macuxi as gifts.

After stocking up with food offered by the giants, the Macuxi explorers would return “home,” to the “outer” world, helped by the giants of the inner world.
The Macuxi are said to be the “guardians” of the underworld, the protectors of the entrance to the inner Earth, and their legends speak of a land, inside the land, which is filled with incredible powers and riches.
This legend of course is considered by many as only that, another story of the ancients. But to the Macuxi, their “legend” was as real as it gets, and they were the protectors of the entrance until British explorers came to the amazon in search of gold and diamonds, venturing into the caves, and never returning again.
Since that they, the Macuxi say that the giants punished them for not fulfilling their duties and the “legends” of the giants faded away with the years.

"He said he was on an afternoon break last Wednesday when he noticed the UFOflying at about 1,000 feet.
"He said it moved about, zig-zagging and circling near a water tower and he said he took about 50 images.
"He said the sighting lasted around five minutes and that it definitely had a pyramid shape to it.
"If you follow UFO videos online and sightings regularly you'll know that this pyramid-shaped object has been seen before. It's all very mysterious, strange times and strange skies, that's for sure."

And speaking to Cryptozoology News, Mr Shishis said he took out his camera when he noticed the object performing “strange” maneuvers and changing shapes.
He added: “It moved about zigzagging and circling about near a water tower here.”
Some commenters claimed the UFO could be a TR-3 Black Manta, a secret triangular-shaped surveillance aircraft developed by the United States Air Force.

De politie van de Amerikaanse staat Iowa staat voor een raadsel. Er zijn meerdere meldingen binnengekomen van mysterieuze mannen in zwarte jassen die in het donker langs de weg staan en zelfs opduiken in achtertuinen, om vervolgens weer te verdwijnen. Dat meldt de lokale zender KWQC.
De zogeheten ‘mannen in het zwart’ worden vooral gezien langs de snelweg en staan meestal stil, hoewel ze soms ook de weg op lopen, bericht persbureau AP.
“Mijn zoon heeft dit meegemaakt en het is geen grap,” schreef een lokale bewoonster op deFacebookpagina van de politie van Muscatine County. “Het was heel beangstigend voor hem.”
De politie zegt verschillende meldingen te hebben ontvangen en heeft de hulp van het volk ingeroepen in een poging erachter te komen wat er aan de hand is. Politieagenten nemen de zaak serieus.
Mensen houden elkaar via de sociale media op de hoogte van waarnemingen langs de snelweg ten westen van de plaats Muscatine. In de meeste gevallen staan de mannen in zwart gewoon langs de snelweg, maar soms lopen ze ook over de vluchtstrook terwijl automobilisten passeren.

Volgens de gepensioneerde Amerikaanse commandant Will Miller zal MJ-12 er alles aan doen om informatie over hun UFO-onderzoek geheim te houden. Alleen mensen die toegang hebben tot de zogeheten ‘unacknowledged special access programs’, die worden gebruikt om onderzoek naar UFO’s te financieren, mogen weten wat er speelt, aldus Miller.
Hij merkte op dat zelfs de Joint Chiefs of Staff, een militair adviesorgaan van de Amerikaanse overheid, en de militaire inlichtingendienst DIA geen toegang hebben. Ze doen alsof het fenomeen een mythe is, hoewel er geheime documenten over in omloop zijn die Podesta boven tafel probeerde te krijgen.
In september 2005 zei president Clinton in gesprek met een tv-zender in Hong Kong dat het goed mogelijk is dat er bureaucraten zijn die geheimen over UFO’s verborgen houden, zelfs voor presidenten.
Op Google Earth is een ‘reusachtig zeemonster’ gespot bij Antarctica. Een filmpje over de ontdekking gaat momenteel het internet rond. Is het een Kraken? Of misschien iets minder angstaanjagends?
Scott Waring van UFO Sightings Daily denkt dat het om een zeemonster gaat. Dat schrijft de Britse Daily Telegraph. “Het lijkt op een Kraken,” zei hij. “Volgens Google is het wezen 30 meter lang. A California witness at Davis reported watching and videotaping a triangle-shaped UFO as it slowly passed overhead that first emitted the sound of horns and trumpets playing, according to testimony in Case 43950 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness reported that his dog seemed anxious and he took it outside at 1:43 a.m. on October 2, 2012, when the incident occurred. The video can be seen above.

“I remember hearing a loud sound, of what seemed like horns, or trumpets from all around,” the witness stated.“I remember it being very early in the morning, maybe near two a.m., and thinking, why isn’t anyone else waking to this sound.”
The dog may have also heard the sound which caused the anxiousness.
“I thought about it later, and thought maybe my dog had heard the sound, and that is why she wanted to go out. So On October 2nd, when my dog did this again I was much quicker to go outside. Again I heard the horn/trumpet sound, though this time it seemed a bit muted, almost like I was hearing it in a vacuum, similar to hearing the ocean in a seashell.”
The witness first reviewed the horizon and saw nothing.
“Then from overhead I noticed what appeared to be a triangle of lights, with what appeared to be randomly moving lights running between each of the triangle points. It was very large, and all I could really see were the lights, and definitive darker, more shadowed area within the confines of the lights on the corners.”
The object continued to move away in a southern direction and reached a point on the horizon where is seemed to remain still, or in a relatively central location for a few minutes.

“I was able to get 31 seconds of video with my cell phone, and then the battery died. The video was shot prior to it reaching the location on the horizon where it hovered,and I opted to stay and watch it, as opposed to trying to go in and get a quick charge on my phone to record more video – which is what I did after watching it hover for a few minutes on the horizon. When I returned to try to record more, it was gone.”
The case was reported to MUFON on November 16, 2012, investigated by Assistant State Director Devlin Rugne, and closed as an Unknown.
“When they went outside he heard a loud sound that seemed like horns or trumpets all around,” Runge stated in his report.“He had heard this same sound the previous night, but this night, it seemed more muted, like he was hearing it in a vacuum, similar to hearing the ocean in a seashell. He couldn’t understand why no one else in the neighborhood was hearing this. He noticed overhead what appeared to be a triangle of lights with what appeared to be randomly moving lights running between each of the triangle points. It was very large and the only thing he could really see were the lights and a more definitive darker, more shadowed area within the confines of the lights on the corners. It continued moving away from him in a southerly direction and reached a point on the horizon where it seemed to hover for a few minutes.”
Runge gathered additional information from the witness.
“The object passed overhead at 90 degrees and when it hovered it was under a mile away over the tree line. It moved very slowly and was large. He said the sound was ‘troubling’ and the three lights at each ‘corner’ were red and stationary, their position is what gave him the impression that the craft was triangular in shape. The sound was like a ‘harmonic’ orchestra – lots of horns and trumpets. The sounds were ‘light tones’ and ‘deeper tones.’ The craft was darker in color than the sky. The colored lights didn’t show up until the craft was hovering over the tree line. The colored lights were in a random pattern and appeared to be ‘jumping around.’ His dog did not bark and was up against the witness’ leg – showing fear. The sighting duration was about 20 minutes. I asked if he noticed the time when he went back inside for the night and he did not. There were no other instances or any kind of poltergeist activity that evening.”

Runge concluded the case.
“I believe the video shot of this object shows an unknown craft. With this craft traveling overhead it gave the witness a clear view of the total light configuration and the witness felt he was seeing an unusual craft. The sound coming from this unknown craft was unusual in itself and ‘troubled’ this guy because he couldn’t in his mind connect the sound with what he was seeing. His dog must have heard it as well because it was the dog that initially got the witness to take him outside a couple of nights in a row. The dog was frightened while the object was being seen and flying overhead. I’m closing this case out as an unknown aerial vehicle.”

A Michigan witness at Clinton Township reported a brief encounter with a circle-shaped UFO hovering just 100 off of the ground and less than 100 feet away, according to testimony in Case 76893 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside at 2:15 a.m. on June 3, 2016, on an overnight watch of a yard sale display when he crossed the street to his home for a cup of coffee. On the return trip he noticed the object.
“I just looked up – more so in an easterly direction – maybe 100 feet above the ground and noticed a bright white,circular-shaped object with a thin line encircling the light,” the witness stated.
The object was visible for just a few seconds and then vanished. Clinton Township, MI.

Sichuan is located in the upper reach of the Yangtze River and the hinterland of Southwest China. It is bordered by Hubei and Hunan in the east, Guizhou and Yunnan in the south, Xizang (Tibet) in the west and Qinghai, Gansu and Shanxi in the north. The name Sichuan means four rivers and it refers to the four most important tributaries to the Yangtze River: Minjiang, Tuojiang, Fujiang and Jialing Jiang which flow through the province fromnorth to south.

The mountainous, misty Sichuan Province, also known as “The Land of Abundance”, is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization, and home to numerous anomalies, ancient mysteries, cryptozoology, and paranormal phenomena. Only an hour away from Changdu, the province capital, is one of China’s most sacred mountains, O-Mei (also known as Emei Shan). Inhabited more than 5,000 years ago, Emei Shan is rich in history and culture. It is the most famous and highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China, rising to 10,103 feet with some 76 monasteries. The province also hosts Xichang Space Center, Rocket and Launch Center, an important part of Beijing’s program to reach the stars. Throughout recorded history China has been the home to some of the most culturally and technologically advanced societies on our planet. The past, present, and future come together in Sichuan. One of the largest provinces of China, Sichuan has had its share of UFO sightings.

UFOS OVER THE PROVINCE
Unidentified flying objects have visited China since the distant past. Some observations have been recorded in the annals of the country’s history. Red China lifted the ban on reporting UFO sightings in 1979, ten years before its neighbor and rival to the north, the Soviet Union. But many observations are fairly recent. Let us look at some strange objects in the skies over Sichuan.
Zhang Zhousheng, a former astronomer at the Yunnan Observatory first observed a UFO in Sichuan in 1977. Mikhail Gershtein, Russia’s top UFO researcher and well-known author of numerous books on the subject, has collected information about Zhang’s 1977 sighting. He mentions the sighting in his book Chto skrivayut ufologi , in English What is covered up by ufologists (Moscow, 2006).

The sighting took place on July 26, 1977, in the northern section of Chengdu. Zhang observed a strange spiral-shaped object, and pointed it out to other people. The object was shaped like a sphere that resembled a yellowish star. A large Archimedes spiral emitted from the sphere in a glimmering line, clearly bright in the moonlight. The color of the line was blue and partly green. Because the spiral line emitted from the sphere, it was clearly not as star. It was a probably a relatively small object. The line went around it in three to four coils.
The strange object also moved in the sky in straight line. The velocity was invariable, about ten degrees a minute. The spiral moved synchronically with the sphere. The size, shape, and luminosity of the object did not change, and the spiral did not rotate around the sphere. No trails were left behind in the sky by the object. At 10:14 pm the spiral disappeared behind the clouds at the altitude of 10 degrees. The sighting lasted about five minutes. The Chinese scientist was shocked by what he had seen.

Zhang was not alone; thousands of witnesses observed he UFO that night in 1977. But Zhang’s story does not end there…
The astronomer made a prediction in June, 1981, that in July of the same year there would be sightings of a UFO. On July 24, 1981, millions of people in Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan and Yunnan Province actually saw a flying luminous spiral-shaped body appear in the sky. Zhang claimed that he was able to calculate the arrival of UFOs.
Having been engaged in the study of UFOs ever since 1977, Zhang has also explained his ability to predict arrival of UFOs. According to him, UFO prediction is different from meteor showers; he can predict when a UFO comes, but cannot be sure they are in the right location where we can see them. Zhang also claims that he knows more than anyone else in the world about such predictions. His predictions have been reported in the Chinese media.

The 1981 spiral UFO had an altitude of about 650 km, and a speed of about 1.6 kilometers per second before it disappeared, according to Professor Wang Sichao, a planetary astronomer at the Purple Hills Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Sichao believes extraterrestrial beings do exist and their UFOs have the ability to visit our Earth.
Another Chinese astronomer and a dedicated UFO researcher Wang Sichao was interviewed by The Yangtse Evening Poston July 1st, 2002. Having analyzed the descriptions of the witnesses’ accounts, he concluded that the 1981 UFO was a “dimensional flying machine.” Such phenomena had been observed before; he and his colleagues at the Nanjing Zijinshan Astronomical Observatory have recorded, gathered, and analyzed UFO incidents since 1971. Such “dimensional machines” have been observed dozens of times. Mr. Wang believes that the UFO is of intelligent design and not a natural phenomenon.
After the 1981 sighting, Chinese researchers studied ancient chronicles to find analogous events, and found over thirty references to “bent arrows” in the sky and other similar anomalies.
But we are not done with that memorable July 24, 1981 sighting. Soviet TASS news agency referred to the Xinhua story in August 8, 1981. Chen Xia of China.org wrote that China had its first massive UFO sighting on the night of July 24, 1981. Hundreds of thousands of onlookers witnessed an enormous luminous spiral from 10:33 p.m. to 10:53 p.m. The object moved at an unbelievable low speed in the upper atmosphere where helicopters were unable to reach. Later studies showed the object had an abnormal anti-gravity capacity. Purple Mountain Observatory, also known as Zijinshan Astronomical Observatory (located on the Purple Mountain in Nanjing, China) released a communiqué stating, “the population of 14 provinces in our country sighted this celestial phenomenon…”

In 1987, reports of a number of reddish spheres flying over Sichuan circulated in the West. Soviet sources had more information about the sighting. According to Izvestiya newspaper, March 20, 1987, an orange-colored UFO appeared at the altitude of one kilometer over Sichuan Its shape was that of a straw hat. The UFO disappeared in half an hour. There were twenty eyewitnesses; one recalled that the object made strange noises.
There were many reports of UFOs throughout China in December and January, 1999. Chinese military scientists had revealed to unnamed sources that there were tests of a new stealth fighter conducted in the north, east, and south of their nation. But the first tests of the Chinese stealth fighter Kong Shiji yihao were conducted in southwestern China in May, 1998. Numerous cities in Sichuan province reported seeing a ray of light from a UFO. Chinese military sources alleged that when the light is seen, the aircraft takes about 5 – 6 minutes to pass from view, so it was traveling at about 200 kilometers per hour. The new aircraft was to go into service in 2005, according to Beijing Scene (January 1999).

Something very interesting flew over China’s three provinces including Sichuan in June of 2002. As reported by several media sources, on June 30, around 10 p.m., a mysterious, light-emitting, shape-changing object was observed in the nation’s sky (Shanghai Star of July 3, 2002; The Huashan Post, The Tianfu Morning Post, Henan Morning Post and more). The accounts described an orange and white ray of light appearing in the sky. The ray flew from east to west, and was visible for about three minutes. Its size was approximately that of a desk, and it changed its shape from a fang-shaped object to a fan-like one.
The various witnesses’ reports of the shape, size, time duration, and flight path of the UFO were very similar. The object was flying at a great altitude, much higher than an airplane would. The UFO was quite large. A newspaper in Sichuan reported that a pilot from a local air force station flew next to the object and mistook it for an enemy fighter. Tian Xianyuan, an eyewitness and the assistant manager from Chongqing City’s Astronomy Center, was able to point out the object’s exact location (Chongqing, an independent municipality was formerly part of Sichuan Province).
Some UFO sightings are nothing more than rockets launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. For instance, in one case the UFO turned out to be a sounding rocket used to collect data about high energy and magnetic fields in the ionosphere.

Perhaps UFOs, whatever their origin may be, are also interested in a very secret Chinese facility. What is known in the West as the Northwest Nuclear Weapons Research and Design Academy (also known as the “Ninth Academy”), was built by the Ninth Bureau of Chinese Nuclear Production Establishment in the early 1960s to produce China’s early nuclear bomb designs. In the late 1970s, the Ninth Academy also established a chemical industry institute to conduct experiments for reprocessing highly enriched uranium fuels.

However, according to the official China news agency, Xinhua (July 20, 1995), the secret Ninth Academy was decommissioned in 1987, and the base was moved to other sites in Sichuan Province.
MYSTERIOUS IMAGE
Mengding Mountain is the birthplace of tea civilization in China. Mengding tea is known in the country as “Tea of the Immortals.” For thousands of years the Chinese have enjoyed special tea varieties from the foggy peaks of the Mengding Mountain; the damp climate of the area is superb for growing tea.

Xie Qiang is a scholar at the Beijing Research Institute of Mineral Resources. His hometown is Ya’an City, in the central part of Sichuan Province, in Mingshan County, on a tributary of the Min River.
Qiang used Google satellite maps to locate his hometown and noticed something truly fascinating. To the north of the city, in the Mengding Mountain area, Qiang observed a very unusual, huge image. It resembled a person, perhaps a warrior, wearing a crown of feathers or a helmet, with an animal next to him. The animal resembled Chinese mythical creature Qilin (Chinese version of unicorn with multiple horns). The size of the image is as follows: the length of 10 kilometers, and height of 4 kilometers (40 square kilometers). According to Qiang, the best position to appreciate this image is in the air 20 to 30 kilometers above the ground. The satellite map shows eyes, mouth, and nose on the face of the person.
Along with the crown or helmet on his head, something that resembles a tunic is on the person’s shoulder of the right arm. A bracelet is visible on the arm. The left arm is bent at the elbow. To some people the warrior resembled a Roman soldier. The mysterious image points in the south-west direction. Who or what created it? Geological formations? Or did Human or humanoid builders create it? Perhaps, a meteorite impact generated it? The specific cause of its formation remains unknown.

Xie Qiang was amazed, and decided to explore the discovery. In July, he and a geologist arrived in Ya’an City. They made their way to the Mengding Mountain, and reached the location of the warrior’s head. They found rivers in the area, and concluded that millions of years in the past the mountains were shaped by floods. One cannot see the image from the ground, due to its size.
A powerful earthquake hit near Ya’an City in April of 2013 reportedly killing some 200 people. Because of its proximity to Lushan County, the epicenter of the magnitude-7 quake, Mengding Mountain has seen a lot of damage to many of its centuries-old buildings, which survived a magnitude-8 earthquake in the same province in 2008. There have been deadly earthquakes in the province in the recent years, and we do not know how the mysterious image of the Mengding Mountain has fared.
HAPPY POET YUAN MEI
Yuan Mei (1716–1797) was a successful official, a writer of how-to books for the civil service exams, a compiler and editor of volumes of supernatural tales, and a flourishing landscape artist; he has also been considered to be the greatest of all Chinese food writers and was an advocate of women’s education. Yuan embraced the spirit of Zen, but strongly rejected both folk Taoism and formalized Buddhism. As a boy, he was a talented student who earned his basic degree at the age of eleven. He received the highest academic degree at 23 and then went on to advanced studies. He eventually left public office and retired with his family to a private estate named “The Garden of Contentment.” Among other things, he also collected local ghost stories and published them.

Yuan Mei traveled throughout China extensively, and thus, was able to collect its folklore. His book Censored by Confucius: Ghost Stories by Yuan Mei contained fascinating descriptions of paranormal creatures; some of them eerily resembling modern-day reports of aliens. Such was the description of the creature encountered in Sichuan Province by scholar Fei Mi and General Yang Zhan during their stay in the government facility said to be haunted by monsters. Neither the General nor his assistant Li believed in monsters, and they decided to spend the night upstairs (the reputed site of the haunting). Fei Mi was asked, or forced, to join them, but he was of a more suspicious nature, and took with him a lantern along with a sword. After the third watch that night a monster tiptoed upstairs. The description of the creature was as follows: it had a face but no eyebrows or eyes. It was lifeless and stiff, like deadwood. It had something of an eye in its back; it gave off a bright golden light. Apparently, it could direct the light at humans.
Yuan Mei’s work was studies and translated into Russian in 1977, by O. L. Fishman. Among the stories is a gripping description of a very-modern-like UFO sighting:
Zhang Xiao-Po from Pinghu was sitting in his courtyard, and the sky was cloudless, All of a sudden he heard a cracking noise. There was a crevice in the sky and in the middle of it two eyes, resembling boats, with shiny pupils that emitted bright light; they were round like the axle of a cart. The entire courtyard was flooded by radiance. Much time had gone by before the eyes closed. Those who know, said that the sky opened its eyes (Yuan Mei, Noviye zapisi Xin Tsi Se ili o chyom ne govoril Konfutsiy, Zi Bu Yu, Moscow 1977).
CONCLUSION
Our world is becoming smaller, and new technologies bring us together. Nations like Brazil, China, India and Russia will share more of their UFO history and research through the work of serious, dedicated people involved in the process. Countries like Israel, Poland, Japan, Chile, Ukraine, Mongolia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, New Zealand and many more have experienced their own UFO sightings and fascinating cases. This is a worldwide phenomenon, and when the information about UFO — and unidentified submersible objects (USO) — sightings is exchanged and analyzed, we will certainly see patterns and similarities. Someone has been visiting our planet, its oceans, land, and skies since antiquity. And this visit, judging by continuous reports from all corners of the world, has not concluded.
In Hong Kong last weekend a UFO was seen that directly resembles a similar UFO that was recorded (many hours of footage) over Turkey a few years ago. Notice the cloudy myst around the UFO that semi hides its true form, but you can also see two of its propulsion engines on the right and left side. News states: Pictures of an unidentified flying object (UFO) spotted above Yin Lai Court in Lai King emerged on the internet on Sunday, Metro Daily reported Monday. Some netizens suggested it might simply be a drone or an aircraft caught in thick fog. The object seen in the pictures look quite a bit like a flying saucer. Other netizens reported they saw lights flashing in the sky above Maritime Square in Tsing Yi. Headline Daily reported that the Facebook post containing the pictures attracted almost 2,000 likes and nearly 300 comments. Szeto Wah-koon from the Hong Kong UFO Club said the object captured in the extended-exposure pictures wasn’t a star, which would have left behind a star trail. He said that if the pictures were taken from indoors, the reflection of lights from within the building could be superimposed onto the image, creating mysterious spots of light.
This is a very interesting post by UFO news site Inexplicata that is located in Mexico. The UFO resembles a cross between a triangle and a disk. Triangle on the bottom, but domed on the top. Its also possible that black ops organizations are operating US gov test flights of alien tech in US hands. The US often conducts test flights over other countries, to take away any suspicion that its a US military craft. The US did that with Project Aurora over the UK back in the 1980s-1990s. Scott C. In the upcoming sequel to the 1996 summer blockbuster Independence Day, a massive alien force comes to Earth to avenge losses sustained at Will Smith’s hand 20 years earlier. Aware that this might happen, the planet has spent the previous two decades preparing: creating Earth Space Defense, an international defense program and warning system with bases on the moon, Mars, and Saturn’s moon Rhea, and a lot of laser guns built using repurposed alien technology. The whole thing looks very Hollywood high budget, but, in reality, it represents a paltry effort.
Defending Earth from alien invaders will require a lot more than some outposts and a Hemsworth brother. Still, even that’s better than what we’ve got. As it stands, we possess neither of the two things we’d need to repel an extraterrestrial attack: a system to find and assess alien threats and a means to destroy incoming ships. We’re way closer on the former than the latter.
Believe it or not, planetary defense is a real part of space research and exploration — albeit in terms of protecting the planet against natural threats, like asteroids, comets, surprise solar flares, etc. For NASA, other space agencies around the world, and private companies, planetary defense is basically limited to a discussion of asteroid impact avoidance and deflection, and the development of technologies that allow us to track near-Earth objects that might pose a threat should their travel path ever line up with ours. To that end, NASA has been bolstering its efforts to improve instruments designed to track such rocks zipping through the solar system — most notably through the recent opening of thePlanetary Defense Coordination Office, to better study and characterize different near-Earth asteroids and comets and predict their orbits around the sun in relation to Earth.
Tracking technologies, like the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer space telescope, would let us know if an alien battalion were en route to Earth long before it reached the planet — provided the aliens were in a pretty big ship and traveling slow enough to give us time to parse the patterns. The issue with WISE, from a strategic defense perspective, is just how easy it would be for aliens to destroy. It is a scientific instrument and, as such, not designed to be combat ready.
Unfortunately, we still have no actual way of engaging with an object that’s on a crash course for pale blue dot. Under the asteroid-focused planetary defense model, NASA is actually supporting a few off-the-wall projects with a bit of R&D funding, such as the gravity tractor. But this isn’t technology we could use to actually defend ourselves against creatures with superior ships. The only technology we have that can really do that is nuclear bombs.
Whether our lives are threatened by an asteroid or extraterrestrials, bombs are likely the best answer we’ve got. If it comes down to saving humanity, you better believe we’ll be launching nukes straight up.
Of course, this is easier said than done. The problem, as the aforementioned movies each discussed, is that you cant simply launch a nuke or 12 straight into an asteroid theyll barely make a dent into the rock, and will hardly affect the trajectory of the damn thing. When it comes to alien invasion, we might have better luck, since a spaceship would need to slow down upon approaching the planet to ensure its safety. At deceased speeds and with a structure that would presumably facilitate interstellar travel (i.e. made to be lightweight with a relatively hollow interior), an alien ship would be a lot more vulnerable to damage by nuclear weapons.
Unfortunately, if an alien civilization is capable of waging wars light-years away from its home, it’s probably already found a way to mitigate or even totally offset damage by a conventional bombs. We’d have to find a way to crack are way in an blow the ship up from the inside.
Meet the Hypervelocity Asteroid Intercept Vehicle, or HAIV: a seemingly conventional spacecraft carrying a nuclear explosive device capable of blowing an object up from the inside out. HAIV is basically two main components — a “kinetic impactor” that bores a hole into the object and creates a hollow path behind it, and an encasement for the nuke.

The genius behind HAIV, aeronautics engineer Bong Wie of Iowa State University, conceived of HAIV as a potential way to defend Earth against asteroid threats. Wie, who is also director the university’s Asteroid Defection Research Center, says his projectile, which would be between 1000 to 2000 kilograms in mass and move at about 5 kilometers per second, contains enough kinetic energy to create a hole or crater about 10 meters deep and 20 meters wide in an oncoming asteroid. The nuclear device would go into that crater behind the spacecraft and, boom goes the dynamite.
If we have at least 5-year warning time, Wie says, mankind will be able to prep a HAIV mission. A nuclear explosion will then occur in space far outside the lunar distance. “Less than 0.1% of resulting fragments would enter Earth’s atmosphere.”
The reason we would need to design and build HAIV from scratch after we know an asteroid is on its way is because you need to cater the whole thing to destroy the asteroid as optimally as possible. For an asteroid with a diameter of 300 meters, the best kind of nuclear device would probably weigh about 1000 kilograms. A larger meteor will need something bigger; smaller rocks could be crushed with smaller bombs.
Wie and his colleagues were previously awarded two phases of funding through the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) program. “This concept is now further being investigated by a team of researchers from NASA and the national defense laboratories for a possible flight demonstration in the near future,” he says. “However, all previous studies of HAIV were based on conceptual and computational research. No experimental validation or testing of the HAIV concept has been performed yet.
Wie has never explained whether the HAIV might be a useful system to protect us from aliens, but he has said that the use of nuclear devices is the most cost-effective option for mitigating impact threat.
Wie is loathe to speculate on the potential weaponization of his technology. But this is not a trait universal to space scientists. Igor Ashurbeyli is actively planning to repel an attack. The chairman of the Moscow-based International Expert Society on Space Threat Defense, Ashurbeyli told the audience at the 4th Manfred Lachs International Conference on Conflicts in Space and the Rule of Law, that he was prepping a proposal for an armed, unmanned space platform dedicated to monitoring activity in space and on the Earth and capable of directly neutralizingboth.

His concept is called the Universal Robotic Battle Cosmic Platform, or URBOCOP. Exactly what it would look like is hard to say, but Ashurbeyli says URBOCOP would essentially be an autonomously-run system — “free from human bias” — that could identify a variety of threats in advance and defend the planet from them. He lists solar flares, changes to Earth’s magnetosphere, asteroids and comets, man-made space debris, unforeseen effects of climate change, cosmic rays, biological threats from other parts of space — all as potential space threats. This situation reminds one of Russian roulette, he told the audience. “Only with rocks, huge pieces of metal, solar energy and other surprises, acting as bullets and putting all of humanity at fatal risk.”
In addition, Ashurbeyli also thinks URBOCOP could work to defend the Earth against intelligent extraterrestrials, or even man-made threats here on the surface. Imagine two countries warring against one-another and launching missiles back and forth. URBOCOP could very easily strike to shut those launches down before those weapons even get into the air.
All of that raises an enormous number of questions. What kind of A.I. system would be used to make sure URBOCOP doesn’t turn against us or mistakenly destroy civilian equipment or structures? What will this thing look like? If Wie is right and nukes are really the only thing that will protect us from large asteroids, are we prepared to store nukes on a space platform floating in orbit?
Ashurbeyli didnt answer those questions, or even really outline how URBOCOP would work. That’s all being detailed in a presentation later this year. But he’s striving hard to make discussions of planetary defense technologies move from the outer rim of the scientific community, and closer to the mainstream.
There are few reasons to think hes being foolish in this regard. Even if the chances of Earth being attacked by aliens is next to nothing, space is a pretty volatile place. You never know what strange shit the sun will spew on a whim; what weird comet or asteroid will appear out of nowhere and make its way towards our neighborhood; and so forth. And its reality, we seem to already possess the tools we need to pick up on dangers, and strike at them. Its just a matter of refining them and putting them towards ensuring Earth stays a safe place to live — seeing how its the only planet we have so far.
