Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Er iets raars aan de hand met de jonge ster RIK-210. Op onregelmatige momenten dimt het licht van de ster. Welk mysterieus object blokkeert het sterrenlicht?
Wanneer het licht van een ster dimt, is dat vaak een teken dat er een planeet om de ster draait. De planeet houdt dan een deel van het sterrenlicht tegen, zoals de maan het licht van de zon tegenhoudt tijdens een zonsverduistering. Toch is dit niet het geval bij de ster RIK-210, die op een afstand van 472 lichtjaar van de aarde staat.
Het sterrenlicht dimt vijftien procent iedere 5,67 aardse dagen. Zo lang doet de ster RIK-210 over een rondje om zijn as. Dit betekent dat het object dat het licht blokkeert meedraait met de ster. Toch wordt het niet veroorzaakt door een begeleidende bruine dwerg of een exoplaneet. Uit verder onderzoek blijkt dat het ook geen protoplanetaire schijf is, oftewel een stofschijf die rondom de vijf tot tien miljoen jaar oude ster draait. Wat is het dan wel?
De dip in het sterrenlicht.
Wolk? “Het lijkt ons onwaarschijnlijk dat iets op het oppervlak van de ster het licht dimt”, schrijft het team. “De mogelijke oorzaak is een wolk in de magnetosfeer van de ster.” Dit is het gebied rondom de ster dat is gevuld met geladen deeltjes. Het is een logische verklaring, omdat een wolk vaak net zo snel roteert als het hemellichaam.
Om zeker te weten dat het een wolk is, moeten de onderzoekers de ster een langere periode volgen. Pas dan weten we zeker dat het geen buitenaardse megastuctuur is.
Tabby’s ster De laatste tijd zijn er vaker sterren gevonden met vreemde dippen, zoals KIC 8462852 (Tabby’s ster). De ruimtetelescoop Kepler zag bijzondere dipjes, zowel qua grootte als qua timing. Tussen dag 788 en 795 van de Kepler-missie nam de helderheid van de ster met 15 procent af. Tussen dag 1510 en 1570 nam de helderheid zelfs met 22 procent af. Astronomen weten nog steeds niet hoe dit komt, maar hopen dat dankzij crowdfunding het mysterie wordt opgelost.

A Pennsylvania witness at Fairless Hills reported watching four triangle-shaped UFOs silently moving just 20 feet over neighboring homes followed by 20 to 30 star-like objects crossing the sky, according to testimony in Case 80797 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The sighting began about 8:20 p.m. on November 4, 2016, when the witness took his two children out for a walk in search of Pokémon hotspots.
“It was a crisp fall night, and for a night sky, the sky was bright and full of stars with no clouds or precipitation,” the witness stated. “At approximately 8:20 p.m. we turned and began walking up a street with a slight incline, and my youngest child stopped to catch a Pokémon and had lagged behind. I noticed he was no longer with us and I turned around to call to him to catch up, and right behind him were two huge, black, triangular craft, larger than the houses they were above, flying slowly and approximately 20 feet above the one story houses across the street, and approximately 20 feet away.”
The witness immediately spotted a second craft.
“The second craft was flying at the same height as the first craft, immediately behind it. The two craft were black with three unwavering bright white lights at the three corners of the triangles, with a solid bright primary, red light in the center of the craft. The craft were completely silent; they were almost on top of us and we never would have known they were there if I did not happen to look behind us. The two craft came from a western direction and were heading east.”

The objects then changed direction.
“We observed the craft silently shift direction southeast before disappearing behind trees and we lost visual contact with the craft. We continued walking up the road away from the craft headed north, heading home, for approximately 10 seconds, when I looked behind again to where we had sighted the craft. Two more triangular craft were flying in the exact same direction in the exact location where the first two craft were sighted, and they turned and headed southeast in exactly the same spot that the other two craft had turned. It was as if we witnessed deja vu; as if we viewed the event again, but this time at a slightly different angle, as we were slightly farther away from the craft the second time around.”

The witness then returned to the original location.
“We walked back down to the location where we spotted and observed the first craft, this time from a farther distance away, as the craft were heading away from us. And at this point my eldest son managed to snap two photographs of these second two craft with his phone.”
The witness then observed a large group of star-like objects.

“We turned east and onto my road, when we looked up into the sky and witnessed a patch of sky with between 20 and 30 balls of light, exact number unable to be determined, that looked like stars, except that they were moving. Some of the lights were moving very slowly, almost imperceptibly, but other craft were moving so quick that they would leave a light trail behind them, as they shifted position. The lights were different colors, from red to bluish-white to orange to bright white. We walked towards this activity in the sky, however, these lights were high up – like stars – and to the east of our location. Our vision would occasionally be obstructed as we walked on our street due to street lamps, but the activity continued unabated as we reached our house. We ran inside and I asked my wife to come out and check out what was happening in the sky. Approximately three minutes later, just after 8:30 p.m., we walked back outside and there was nothing in the sky where we had just observed the lights; not even observable stars.”
Fairless Hills is in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, population 8,466. Pennsylvania MUFON State Section Director Donna Luther is investigating. EXCLUSIVE: SIGHTINGS of strange triangular UFOs keep being reported, leading to claims aliens could actually be visiting Earth in the mysterious crafts.
Many reports tell of a silent triangle shape, defined by a series of lights, that are said to be in some cases as big as a football field, moving slowly across the sky.
The most infamous mass triangle UFO sighting was the Phoenix Lights incident of March 13 1997 over Arizona.
Five lights were seen in a formation by thousands of people over three hours from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
The sightings took place a cross a 300-mile area from Phoenix to Tucson.
It was blamed by officials as military flares at the time.
Another mysterious case was the Belgian UFO wave from November 1989.

Thirty different groups of witnesses, and three groups of police officers, reported seeing on November 29 a large object flying at low altitude.
The craft was described as "flat, of triangular shape, with lights underneath", and being silent as it slowly moved across Belgium towards the Netherlands and Germany.
Some alien hunters believe they are the motherships of extraterrestrials visiting Earth.
However, many conspiracy theorists believe they are actually secret aircrafts developed by the US Air Force (USAF) which are being tested.
The TR-3B is alleged by conspiracy theorists to be a secret "black project" spy craft of the US Government that can be flown into space.
The allegations are that these crafts are created at top-secret military bases like Area 51 in Nevada, by reverse engineering alien technology.
Last month Express.co.uk reported on an alleged TR-3B sighting and video that was reported to MUFON after a couple visited close to the mysterious Area 51 USAF base in the Nevada desert, where conspiracy theorists claim UFO technology is experimented on away from public view.
Scott C Waring, editor of ufosightingsdaily.com, later blogged about the sighting.
He wrote: “The video shows a TR-3B-type craft that is not fully powered up. “When a TR-3B craft is powered, the centre orb will glow the brightest, but here the centre orb is there, but dark.
“If this is a TR3B, then its has a higher chance of being a new pilot from the USAF learning to handle the alien technology craft at night so the public doesn't see it flying about, but since it lights up like a christmas tree at night...that is actually a foolish assumption.”
MUFON received another report from a witness on December 13, about an alleged sighting at 5am on November 25 above Little Mountain in South Carolina.
The report said: “Planes don't fly at 4.45 to 5am and no planes are triangle shaped.
“It was hard to see the ship but I saw the outline because of the green lights in the shape of a triangle. It moved without a sound.”
A couple reported seeing one on December 10 at 4.44am over Windsor, Maine.
The report said: “It was large and shaped like a carpenters framing square, triangle shaped, with at least six red lights, and a weird turquoise light that went off at its point.
“It was silent. It made my wife and I sick to our stomachs to see.
“It wasn’t your normal plane it was huge and close enough to make out.”
The reports have kept coming, with another made on December 8, at 8.15pm above Virginia.
This object was moving so slowly, a normal plane could not stay up in the sky given the speed of this object. No sounds.

The witness said: “I drove right under it near the reservoir on 17.
“Black triangle. It hovered then flew slowly away, no noise. Red and blue lights pulsating.”
Another was seen on December 5 at 8.30pm above Bay Village, Ohio.
The report said: “I thought it was a very very large plane moving extremely slow across the southwest sky.
“It had blinking lights, yellow, golden in colour, and looked to be the shape of a triangle.
“The lights were three to four spaced on either side.
“This object was moving so slowly, a normal plane could not stay up in the sky given the speed of this object. No sounds.”
US-based MUFON is the biggest organisation in the world dedicated to UFO and alien research.

Its chief investigator for Ohio, Ron McGlone, is investigating another local sighting, with an image, from November 29, which was close to the Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Conspiracy theorists claim this base is a centre for the TR-3B and other experimental crafts because it houses the Air Force Research Laboratory.
The witness from Springfield, also in Ohio, reported a close encounter with a “gigantic, triangular UFO,” according to their testimony.
They were driving along Highway 2-75 approaching Columbus when “lights in the sky” were seen at 10pm.
They said: “Now it was huge, and no longer looked like an airplane because of its massive size and obvious triangular shape.

“And I’m thinking, ‘maybe it’s a plane crashing,’ because we were also near the Wright Patterson Air Force Base and I start hyperventilating and just absolutely freak out and thinking
I was going to die.”
He described it as a “blackish grey base with red lights somewhere on it and on the three corners there were three white lights.”
Although MUFON investigates the bizarre triangle sightings, it still urges caution.
Roger Marsh, MUFON director of communications, said: “Please remember that most UFO sightings can be explained as something natural or man-made.”
But he urged for any UFO sightings to be made to the group.
Scott Brando runs website ufoofinterest.org which exposes hoax UFO sightings.
He is sceptical any unexplainable sightings have been made.
He says the Phoenix Lights Incident was explained as aircraft and military flares.
He told Express.co.uk: “The Phoenix lights were explained with two different events. The first was the flight of five planes in V-shape formation.
"This is what the witness saw in that day.
"The second event was the launch of military flares over Estrella mountains."
He said of the Belgian UFO Wave: "The Belgian UFO wave began as a normal sighting (some lights in the sky) and then spread virally, but it took more time because at that time the
media coverage had no internet like now."
Referring to triangle UFOs generally, he added: “About other similar sightings I'd like to see some reports by MUFON, however many formation of sky lanterns or the launch of skydivers

The four year long survey of the stars has culminated in the largest map of space to ever have been created, totaling 2 petabytes of data.
The more we learn about space and the origins of other celestial bodies, the more we can learn about how our planet was formed and possibly get answers to many of the mysteries still left in the universe.
PAN-STARRS PROJECT
The Earth is but one among the many celestial bodies floating in space. We know there’s a lot more out there, stars, galaxies, planets, asteroids and we can see some of them in the night sky. Using visible and infrared light the Panoramic Survey Telescope & Rapid Response System observatory (Pan-STARRS) created a digital map, which it released this week. It’s the world’s largest digital survey to date.
Pan-STARRS is a 1.8-meter telescope located at the summit of Haleakalā, on Maui. It’s a consortium composed of astronomers and engineers from 14 institutions from six countries, including the University of Hawaii, and the Max Planck Institutes for Astronomy (MPIA) in Heidelberg and for Extraterrestrial Physics in Garching.

LOOK TO THE STARS
Their sky map (or the Pan-STARRS1 survey) data covers 3 billion sources of visible and infrared light, including galaxies, stars, and other objects. The collected data totals 2 petabytes, enough to fill 40 million four-drawer filing cabinets full of single-spaced pages of text. Pan-STARRS collected all the data in a period of four years, where it observed the sky rapidly and repeatedly, scanning it 12 times using five different filters. Pan-STARRS is making all of this data available for the astrophysics community to study.
“The Pan-STARRS1 Surveys allow anyone to access millions of images and use the database and catalogs containing precision measurements of billions of stars and galaxies,” explained Ken Chambers, Director of the Pan-STARRS Observatories. “With this release we anticipate that scientists – as well as students and even casual users – around the world will make many new discoveries about the universe from the wealth of data collected by Pan-STARRS.”
Furthermore, this survey covers Earth’s cosmological neighbors and even astronomical objects farther beyond. “Pan-STARRS has made discoveries from Near Earth Objects and Kuiper Belt Objects in the Solar System to lonely planets between the stars; it has mapped the dust in three dimensions in our galaxy and found new streams of stars; and it has found new kinds of exploding stars and distant quasars in the early universe,” Chambers added.
According to Hans-Walter Rix, director of the Galaxies and Cosmology department of MPIA:
Pan-STARRS1 mapped our home galaxy, the Milky Way, to a level of detail never achieved before. The survey provides, for the first time, a deep and global view of a significant fraction of the Milky Way plane and disk—an area usually avoided by surveys given the complexity of mapping these dense and dusty regions. And Pan-STARRS1 goes far beyond that: its unique combination of imaging depth, area and colors allowed it to discover the majority of the most distant known quasars: these are the earliest examples in our universe that giant black holes had grown at the centers of galaxies.
Such an unprecedented achievement is going to have a long lasting impact on the study of our universe. This data alone will allow astronomers a clearer view of the geometry of the universe than ever before possible. Technology is allowing for the acceleration of space discovery and its continued development will help us answer the deepest mysteries of space.
For centuries, humans have wondered whether Earth is unique in the universe, or if similar planets exist out there. Even a decade ago, we still did not know — but then NASA's Kepler Space Telescope made discoveries that changed everything.
Thanks to that important mission, the answer became clear: other planets like ours are out in the cosmos. We just haven't seen one with our own eyes yet.
Since its 2009 launch, Kepler has discovered more than 2,000 confirmed exoplanets and has given us a huge amount of information about their orbits and sizes. The planets found range greatly in their masses, composition and orbital distances: for instance, enormous gas giants orbiting incredibly close to their stars, called hot Jupiters; planets that orbit two stars, called circumbinary planets; and rocky planets with the potential to be like Earth. The planets considered Earth-like are rocky on their surface and about 0.5 to 1.5 times the size of Earth. They also land in the "habitable zone" of their orbiting stars, meaning they fall in the sweet spot of orbital distance — not too close and not too far away — and therefore have the potential to be able to support liquid water on their surfaces. The ability to support water is huge, as it means the planet could have the potential to support life.
Kepler showed us these planets are common in the universe. In fact, we now know there are more potentially habitable planets in our galaxy alone than there are people alive on Earth. One out of every two sun-like stars you see in the night sky has a rocky, Earth-like planet in its habitable zone.

Earlier this year, one potentially habitable planet made news when scientists discovered it orbiting the nearby red dwarf star Proxima Centauri. That planet, called Proxima b, which has similarities to Earth that include orbiting in the habitable zone of its star, so the potential to support water, and a size about 1.3 times that of Earth.

We now know these planets exist, but we have yet to see them. To know more about a planet's Earth-like properties, such as whether it hosts water or oxygen, further specific detection methods are needed. Thanks to recent breakthroughs, the technology now exists to capture a direct image of an Earth-like planet outside our solar system. That's what we aim to do at Project Blue.
Our mission is to capture an image, visible to the human eye, of one of these worlds. Proxima b is an unlikely candidate, as it orbits so close to its small, dim star that it would be extremely difficult to image with a telescope. Project Blue is therefore targeting our best chance at success: our stellar neighbor Alpha Centauri.
Our goal is to see a "pale blue dot" that could indicate the presence of oceans or an atmosphere — and the potential to support life. Since Alpha Centauri is a binary system, it doubles our chances, and the probability that we'll find at least one potentially habitable planet is around 85 percent.
Capturing the first image of a planet like ours and seeing it with our eyes will help us begin to characterize its properties and spark a movement to quickly further research. The photograph of Earth 2.0 would be a defining moment in human history and is sure to transform how we see ourselves in the universe.

'Brightest Supernova Ever' Was Actually Monster Black Hole's Violent Star Slashing

An incredibly luminous outburst that astronomers had previously classified as possibly the brightest supernova ever actually might have been caused by the explosive death ofa star torn apart by a giant black hole, a new study finds.
Supernovas are explosions that can happen when stars die, either after running out of fuel or gaining a sudden influx of new material. These outbursts can briefly outshine all of the other stars in their galaxies.
In January, astronomers analyzing data from the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN) reported discovering an outburst more than twice as bright as any known supernova. The explosion, named ASASSN-15lh, happened about 3.8 billion light-years from Earth, in the sky at the border of the southern constellations Indus and Tucana, and gave off about 570 billion times more light than the sun does at its peak.

Initially, scientists classified ASASSN-15lh as a superluminous supernova — indeed, the most luminous seen yet. However, researchers now think this explosion may actually have been the death throes of a star ripped apart by a supermassive black hole up to billions of times the mass of the sun.
A number of factors suggested that ASASSN-15lh was not a superluminous supernova. For instance, it occurred in a large, reddish galaxy, "a location where we should not find superluminous supernovae," said lead study author Giorgos Leloudas, an astrophysicist at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, and the Dark Cosmology Centre in Denmark. This kind of galaxy lacks the young massive stars that previous research suggested give rise to superluminous supernovas, he said.
Moreover, after gazing at ASASSN-15lh for 10 months of follow-up observations, Leloudas and his colleagues suggest that the way the explosion evolved over time "is not consistent with an expanding ball of gas," Leloudas told Space.com. Instead of cooling down over time as supernovas are supposed to do, "this object, after 100 days, started warming up again, and stayed hot at a constant and very high temperature for a long time, and it continues to do so," he said.

Instead, the researchers suggest that ASASSN-15lh may have been caused by a star disintegrating under the gravitational pull of a black hole — a so-called tidal disruption event. The composition of the elements seen in the explosion are more consistent with a tidal disruption event of a low-mass star than with a superluminous supernova, Leloudas said.
In addition, using images from the Hubble Space Telescope, Leloudas and his colleagues found that ASASSN-15lh occurred at the center of its galaxy. Previous research found that supermassive black holes reside in the center of virtually all known large galaxies. The researchers suggest that the supermassive black hole that may have caused this explosive outburst ranged from 200 million to 3 billion times the sun's mass.
Prior work found that the supermassive black hole at the center of ASASSN-15lh's galaxy was so big that it would have swallowed a star whole instead of ripping it apart. Using new models, Leloudas and his colleagues have discovered that a rapidly whirling supermassive black hole could rend a star to pieces instead of gulping it down whole.
Only about 10 tidal disruption events have been discovered, the researchers said. This new finding may demonstrate that "tidal disruption events show a much larger diversity than what we knew before, and that they can reach extreme luminosities," Leloudas said.
Leloudas cautioned that they cannot say with complete certainty that ASASSN-15lh was a tidal disruption event, and that they cannot explain every detail of what they observed. Still, "this is how science advances — now, more clever people can look at the data we publish and come up with theories that can explain the missing pieces," he said.

SAN FRANCISCO— The intriguing story of Mars' mysterious dark streaks may have a new twist.
The streaks, known as recurring slope lineae (RSL), occur seasonally on steep, relatively warm slopes at many locations on the Red Planet. They were discovered in 2011 by scientists studying images captured by NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO).
Many researchers initially speculated that RSL may be signs of liquid water at or near the Martian surface, and this hypothesis got a big boost last year when a study reported that MRO had detected hydrated salts within the streaks. [Liquid Water on Mars: The Discovery in Pictures]
The hydrated-salts discovery generated a lot of excitement, because it suggested that some places on the otherwise dry Red Planet's surface may be capable of supporting life as we know it today. The presence of available liquid water — even salty water, as the stuff within the RSLs would likely be — could also aid efforts to send astronauts to Mars, NASA officials have said.
But it may be prudent to rein in that excitement a bit, according to a new study. Hydrated salts are crystalline solids, and it's possible that the water the RSL salts contain comes from the Martian atmosphere rather than liquid water at or near the surface, said Raina Gough, a research scientist at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Gough and her colleague, Margaret Tolbert, also of UC Boulder, performed lab experiments to test this idea. They exposed various anhydrous (dry) salts to Mars-like atmospheric conditions and found that some of them — calcium perchlorate and calcium chloride — did indeed become hydrated. (The RSL salts on Mars appear to be perchlorates of some kind, the researchers who spotted them wrote in their 2015 study.)
These results, which Gough presented Tuesday (Dec. 13) here at the annual fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), don't prove anything; it's still very possible that liquid water is involved in the formation of the hydrated salts within the RSL across Mars, Gough stressed. But that exciting scenario shouldn't be taken as a given, she added.
"Hydrated salts are not always evidence of liquid water," Gough told Space.com at the AGU meeting.
Future lab work should attempt to determine which salts cannot be hydrated via atmospheric water alone, Gough and Tolbert wrote in the new study. Such salts, if identified on Mars, would provide very strong evidence for the presence of liquid water, they added.
I'm very excited about seeing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which tells the tale summarized in the original Star Wars' opening crawl. This is the story of how the rebels stole the plans to the original "Death Star" – a space station the size of a small moon with a weapon powerful enough to destroy a planet.
If we could get our hands on those plans, could we build a similar fortress? I decided to try to work out some aspects of how a Death Star might actually work. In Star Wars lore, the 120 km (75-mile) diameter space station was made from quadanium steel (a fictional metal alloy) and crewed by 2m Imperial personnel, including officers, Stormtroopers and TIE pilots.
So would it possible in the real world? Let's not worry about the vast quantities of raw materials required. For example, at current production rates of steel it would take 182 times the current age of the universe to accrue enough. I'm more concerned conceptually with how to power such a colossal battle station and how to generate gravity for everyone on board. It turns out our conventional technologies might not cut it.
The International Space Station requires about 0.75 W of power for every m³ of the space station. These are provided by eight solar arrays, 112 feet (34m) long by 39 feet (12m) wide. Even if we had 100% efficient solar panels covering the much larger Death Star, we'd still be a factor of 45 times short of the ISS's power requirements per unit volume. Not to mention that power would severely diminish if we took the space station further away from the sun.
You might think we could learn lessons from the sci-fi classic 2001 A Space Odyssey in terms of the gravity and just spin the Death Star to create artificial gravity via centrifugal forces. To replicate the gravity on Earth (9.81 metres per second squared or 1 g), the station would only need to revolve once every 3.5 minutes, which doesn't sound too absurd.
But there was a reason the station was ring-shaped in 2001. The centrifugal force is proportional to the radius of your circular path. As you travel either towards the centre of the station or towards the poles, this radius decreases meaning the artificial gravity would start to vanish. If indeed gravity was created this way, it calls into question the Death Star's spherical design.
Dyson sphere
Perhaps the clue was in the name the whole time. What if at the heart of the Death Star is an artificial star? Surely that would solve the gravity problem? This makes the station something of a Dyson sphere, the sort of technological megastructure physicist Freeman Dyson imagined advanced civilisations might be able to build to harness all the energy from their stars. However, Dyson spheres of the rigid shell variety usually run into problems from being under immense stresses due to the gravitational forces. Even if the sphere isn't ripped apart by this, just a small push certainly would be enough to send the structure crashing into its star.
But Dyson spheres are usually imagined to be the size of the Earth's orbit around the sun. For a much smaller Death Star, most of the problems with the Dyson sphere go away. The 13.2 km diameter reactor core would only require a mass 370 times less than our moon's. It turns out while steel and titanium would just about fail under these conditions, the wonder material graphene, for example, could easily withstand the gravitational forces involved.
And we wouldn't actually need a real star at the centre of the station – the future technology of nuclear fusion could easily provide enough power. While at the moment we tend to put more energy in than we get out in our fusion experiments, many plasma physicists think the key is going bigger and hope that the ITER experiment, which will be one-third of the volume of an Olympic swimming pool, will turn the tide in this regard. If successful, we could expect power from our Death Star up to two million times that consumed by the entire human race.
But there are still problems. The pressures involved inside our Death Star reactor would be immense. The artificial star's own gravity would not be enough to contain the fusion plasma, so we would need something extra. As we've learned from thinking about lightsabers, magnetic fields could provide the solution. The only snag is that we'd need some of the strongest magnetic fields in the universe – a million times greater than we've ever created on Earth and comparable to those of magnetars – a type of neutron star with an extremely powerful magnetic field.
Back to the drawing board it seems, unless I can get my hands on those plans …

Pat asked around but no one else has come forward yet, she may ask the local paper to publish her story in the hope that someone else saw it.
Pat, a very well spoken, educated, older lady was staying at the Discovery Beach Resort on the Sunshine Coast (used to be the old Surf Air) on Friday night, 28th January 2000. Her room overlooked the ocean and the hotel was right on the beach. At about 3.45am on Saturday Morning (29th) Pat woke up from a restless night, (Pat does have trouble sleeping) and saw a very bright light shining through the window of her room, Pat got out of bed and looked out the window and saw this light which Pat describes as 500 times that of a fluorescent light. She was looking out to the East over the ocean, Pat says there is a very small uninhabited island about half a mile out to sea from the resort called MUDJIMBA ISLAND, and the light was just above this Island about 2,000-3,000 feet up and slightly to the North of the Island. The light stayed in the same position and after about a hour. Pat noticed a shape, rectangle, with a reddish cone tail end.
Then some little flashes of light came out the cone looking tail. Pat sat at the window watching this light until 5.10am when it started to move upwards and disappeared. Pat says she has never seen anything like it before, and would like to know what it was? She has never thought about UFO’s before but it has now made her think about it and want to know more. She is familiar with the stars and says it was not a star.
Remember when NASA told us there’s liquid water on the surface of Mars?Well, that little factoid might be murkier than we thought. Turns out, a set of new lab experiments seeking to recreate the supporting evidence ended up with an unexpected outcome.
Here’s the deal: the original data that suggested there was water on Mars was based off something called recurring slope lineae — dark streaks that appear and vanish seasonally on the walls of various coasters and canyons on the surface of the planet. Follow-up data collected by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter indicated that the RSL sites possessed hydrated salts, which could essentially be explained only by some sort of liquid flow of water originating from some place.
And of course, the presence of water on another planet is phenomenal because it suggests another world might be capable of supporting life, and that future astronauts may be able to use that water as a resource for a extraterrestrial colony.
Now, the origin of that liquid water was unknown — and it’s still unknown today. Why are scientists so sure the source has to be ground based? Michael Meyer, the lead scientist for NASA’s Mars Exploration Program, explained to Inverse during an interview for a previous story this year that the atmosphere of Mars is extremely dry. “If you completely froze out the atmosphere of mars, you would have a 10 micron layer of ice around the planet,” he explains. “That’s less than the width of a sheet of paper! The likelihood these RSL sites were getting their thirst quenched by atmospheric water was low.
But a team of researchers decided to verify whether the salts in the RSL sites really had to be hydrated through surface flow, or whether atmospheric water could have been enough. A pair of University of Colorado, Boulder scientists exposed salts to atmospheric conditions similar to Mars, and found that some of them actually became hydrated solely through atmospheric means.
Those results, presented last week at the American Geophysical Unions annual fall meeting in San Francisco, don’t outright nix the idea that there’s a source of liquid water somewhere on Mars. But they do raise some concerns that will need to be addressed and explored through future experiments.
What would help the most, actually, is to acquire an actual sample of the hydrated salts on Mars and analyze them directly. The problem is that the RSL sites are located in pretty harsh terrain — sending humans in would be a dangerous endeavor, and we don’t yet have the kind of robotic technology that could feasibly go in on its own.
Regardless, the results underscore the fact that while water on Mars is an exciting prospect, we should not get carried away until we have tangible proof of what we’re seeing.
The Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced Friday that it will begin working with a private lunar robotics exploration companyto mine for resources on the moon.The Tokyo-basedispace Inc.should help facilitate Japan’s (somewhat late) entry into the rapidly growing and potentially lucrative field of space mining.
Space mining sounds like a fun but made-up occupation set in the dystopian future, sort of like space archaeologist (real) or space cowboy (less real). But this is far from so — space mining is quickly becoming a ring into which multiple nations and space entities are tossing their respective hats. Luxembourg, for instance, has a head start on Japan here, and the United States already introduced “finders-keepers” legislation for resources recovered from space mining more than a year ago.
Space-resource development is garnering attention around the world now,” ispace CEO Takeshi Hakamada told The Wall Street Journal. “It’s very important that we work to commercialize and create rules while we still have a technological advantage globally.”
If you thought the moon was a barren place bereft of any resources international space agencies would actually be interested in, you’re still sort of right. But since the moon has water it has, by extension, oxygen and hydrogen we could convert to fuel to help reduce costs of future missions. One of the biggest implications from the U.S.’s own SPACE Act in 2015 2015 was the ability to mine water — if we can pick up rocket fuel in space when missions run low rather than having to return home, that’s an obvious milestone to advance the feasibility of deep-space travel. There are potentially billions of tons of water below the moon’s surface, and NASA as well as a host of private operations are busying themselves with the scientific and legal processes of extracting it. The moon may be boring, according to some, or at least not nearly as interesting as Mars, but it has potential as a kind of spacial gas station; Japan is merely the latest in a string of countries to act on that.

An Ohio witness at Springfield reported a close encounter with a “gigantic, triangular UFO,” according to testimony in Case 80785 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving along Highway 2-75 approaching Columbus when lights in the sky were first seen at 10 p.m. on November 29, 2016.
“The colored lights were white, green, and red at the time and it looked kind of cylinder-like,” the witness stated.“When I saw it, I immediately thought UFO, as I usually do if it’s not during the day. As we were getting closer to the object, it was getting larger obviously, but it didn’t look like a cylinder anymore. At this point it was starting to look like an airplane because it took more of a triangular shape.”

The object was massive in size from the witness perspective.
“Now it was huge, and no longer looked like an airplane because of its massive size and obvious triangular shape.”
The witness attempted to capture the object with a cell phone.
“I start taking snapchat videos and sending them to my friends without saving them. Now it’s so huge I have absolutely no idea what’s going on and all of a sudden it kind of turned a little bit like a plane does and then it went back to its normal, straight position.”
The witness thought that the object might be a plane crashing.
“And I’m thinking, ‘maybe it’s a plane crashing,’ because we were also near the Wright Patterson Air Force Base and I start hyperventilating and just absolutely freak out and thinking I was going to die. And then I somehow calm down and see that this thing is a freaking UFO and it’s ‘ginormous’ and I just witnessed it, but we passed it in a flash and I couldn’t see it out of my window anymore.”

The witness described the object.
“Blackish gray base with red lights somewhere on it. And on the three corners there were three white lights. And although I didn’t save any of the videos I took, my friend screenshotted a part of it and sent it back to me. This picture is from an IPhone 6S and we weren’t at the closest point, but we weren’t at the furthest point from the object.”

The craft looks like a rocket, but has no contrail and moves way too slow to be a rocket. About 6X too slow. Its also not a meteorite, because of its speed which is about 10-15X too slow. It is an unidentified flying object. In every sense of the word, this is a UFO. I would be deeply interested in the flight data and radar records for Fairborn if that were at all possible. Scott C. I was at Maplewood Park in Fairborn, Ohio with my girl friend on the swings. I looked up and saw a shiny, pill shaped UFO fly overhead. It was completely silent and looked like it was really high in the air. I thought it was really odd to see an object flying so high in the air, not making any noise, and it was metallic. So I pulled out my cell and started recording right away. It went straight, at a steady pace, looked like it was floating across the sky. My girl friend and I just watched it and kept swinging. I'm not sure what I saw that day, maybe it was a satellite or a blimp. It makes me wonder because I was only a couple miles away from Wright-Patt Air Force Base. I lost sight of the object when it flew out of distance and on the other side of the tree.

The video shows a TR3B type craft that is not fully powered up. When a TR3B craft is powered, the center orb will glow the brightest, but here the center orb it there, but dark. If this is a TR3B, then its has a higher chance of being a new pilot from the USAF learning to handle the alien tech craft at night so the public doesn't see it flying about, but since it lights up like a christmas tree at night...that is actually a foolish assumption. Please do not dismiss due to the sound on this video, I will explain this odd event, I did not want to modify the video in any way to make it not credible. In September a week or 2 after coming back from Las Vegas Nevada my fiance and I experienced alot of bizarre events. During our trip to Las Vegas, being interested in the truth in EBE's we drove out to Rachel Nevada, visiting the "black mailbox" I left behind an old student id card (not valid with an old address) after visiting the black mailbox we continued on our way to the back entrance of Area 51 and got as close to the gate as lawfully possible. As we walked to the gate jokingly I said to my fiance, little do they know that we know the truth. We then came back to WV and just a week or 2 after our trip. My fiance was on the back porch at night (approx time at top) she saw these very low triangular orb set glide across the sky, she then yelled for me to come out. I can describe the object or objects too low to be an airplane and absolutely silent to be a helicopter.
Usually helicopters have red flashing or white flashing lights. This was just 3,4 or 5 solid white lights in complete silence. They orbs did not hang around too much and the video was a last second record, so its a bit shaky. The orbs slowly disapeared behind a wooded area, twords the end you may think the lights are flashing but its just the lights shining in and out of trees. *****NOW let me explain the sound*****, after we got done recording it I decided to upload it to facebook and after uploading it to facebook, because I like to educate the public best of my knowledge, for some odd reason, facebook added this most bizarre sound i've ever heard.
Facebook can't integrate sound into videos you upload.. My fiance and I are very serious on this topic so neither of us would be so arrogant to crack a joke. To this day I still cannot figure out how the audio got added to it or why, to make it a bit more credible, i'm a Systems Engineer, I live, eat, breathe technology. Some unrelated bizarre happenings few days later after seeing this UFO, for 1 day and 1 day only, talking on the phone with my fiance, almost seemed like some staticy noise with odd sounds in the background, almost like two phone lines crossed over like the old cordless phones. We were using cellphones. It never happened again after that day... I feel like (not being paranoid) I was being profiled some how and some way by the ID I left back at the black mailbox.. Fahrusha a co-host of “Shattered Reality Podcast writes, “Extraterrestrial evolution is a topic of great interest to me in a number of ways. The thought of this may be bizarre to many people, but perhaps it shouldn’t be. There are four factors that come immediately to mind.
There are probably billions of planets in our Milky Way Galaxy and quadrillions in other telescopically visible galaxies. Scientists disagree on how many of these other worlds might generate life, but few think we are alone. Even the Vatican is very open to the concept of extraterrestrial intelligent beings.
Some great cosmological thinkers have posited the idea of Panspermia, including Dr. Chandra Wickramasinghe and the late Sir Fred Hoyle (1915–2001). Panspermia is defined by Google as the theory that life on Earth originated from microorganisms or chemical precursors of life present in outer space which were able to initiate life upon reaching a suitable environment. Today a scientist in the UK named Professor Milton Wainwright is sending up balloons to the stratosphere to discover microbial life from space. Think spores traveling on comets etc.
Though it seems to me that much evidence points to the idea that Earth has been visited multiple times by extraterrestrials, thoughts and theories about extraterrestrial evolution do not depend for their validity on extraterrestrial visitation.
The fourth factor is an open question: Would such life follow a set pattern similar to life on Earth, or would extraterrestrial evolution take an entirely different path or could both ideas be true?
This blog post will deal mostly with this fourth factor, that is, the open question. It has been both rumored and openly stated that NASA and JPL have quashed reports and evidence of life on Mars and other spheres. Most prominently I think of assertions made by Dr. John Brandenburg, formerly of NASA, about advanced life on Mars; and of evidence of certain findings of primitive organisms (crinoids) visually identical to Earth organisms discovered by Dr. Richard Hoover, 46 year veteran NASA astrobiologist and “Inventor of the Year”.
In fact, I wrote a blog post about that a few years ago that can be accessed HERE. This is particularly important to the rest of my thinking on this subject of extraterrestrial evolution.
If the organism found by JPL on Mars is, in actuality, largely identical to those found on Earth, it seems to point to the idea that extraterrestrial life might always or often evolve in the same or similar manner. One frequently discussed concept that follows in this direction is the controversial idea that some extraterrestrials who have purportedly visited the Earth are Reptilians. The theory goes something like this: if the dinosaurs who once inhabited the Earth were not killed off by a comet or large meteor which struck the Gulf of Mexico at end of the Cretaceous Period, would they have perhaps evolved into self conscious bipedal beings who might roam the galaxy? And if so, is it not possible or indeed likely that on other suitable planets in the galaxy or beyond such Reptilians might exist, if in fact, evolution follows a similar model everywhere? In this discussion somewhere, one must consider non-human very intelligent life forms right here on Earth that have not developed with bi-lateral symmetry. I am thinking here of cephalopods like squid. That might derail the similar evolution everywhere theory as the sole way life could evolve.

On the other hand, is it possible or likely that evolution throughout the cosmos looks nothing like Earthly evolution? I’d say certainly that is possible and in certain circumstances probable. One probable circumstance resulting in a different evolutionary pattern might be an environment where the building blocks of life are not carbon based or not dependent on water or oxygen. Dear Reader, does your definition of “life” depend on breathing or respiration? Furthermore, should it? Perhaps consciousness is a better definition of life than taking breath.
But are these ideas of evolution in the cosmos mutually exclusive? I don’t think so. Ponder this: perhaps life develops in a similar evolutionary pattern where carbon and water are available, and totally differently where they are not. Clark C. McClelland, former ScO, Space Shuttle Fleet, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), writes, “On July 16, 1969, the day of the launch of Apollo 11 for the first landing of men on the moon, I met Senator Barry M. Goldwater of Arizona near the Apollo Launch Control Center. He had been the Republican Presidential candidate in 1964 running against President Johnson. He had flown 160 plus planes during his WW II and civilian years. He even checked-out in a SR-71 Blackbird. I introduced myself and explained my position at KSC and my being the NICAP Unit-3 Director. He was willing to discuss UFOs and I began by saying it was obvious he had a deep abiding interest in UFOs. I asked him if he was at that time aware of the fact that several former German Scientists were assigned to Wright Field since post-reversed engineer certain retrieved hardware that was suspected to be of alien origin.
They accomplished that assignment of the object that crashed in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania. It was taken to Wright Field. Senator Goldwater said, “Yes, I recall that incident. What was it? Do you know?” I replied, “Yes, sir, it was a Soviet failed mission to Venus in 1965. It was not alien, Senator. The public was lead to believe it was a UFO that is far easier to explain than a missile from the USSR hitting within the USA”.

One other I am familiar is Dr. Alexander Lippisch who was more so well known and a pioneer in tailless aircraft, the US Delta wing fighter, the F-102 A Delta Dagger. Global cooling was a conjecture during the 1970s of the imminent cooling of the Earth’s surface and atmosphere culminating in a period of extensive glaciations. In the 1990’s, climate scientists indicated there is Global Warming and the polar ice was melting and billions have been spent to slow this warming. During the last year the Global Warming developed the new title of Climate Change. Climate change skeptics claim the latest El Nino, which began in 2015, was the reason for that year being the hottest on record, rather than man-made carbon emissions causing long-term global warming.
Science is divided over whether climate change from man-made carbon emissions have heated the planet enough to mean that unnatural global warming also contributed to the record temperatures seen during the El Nino in 2015 and the first half of this year. Dr Gavin Schmidt, head of Naas’s climate division, says human-caused global warming is the primary factor.
Other scientists feel there is climate change, but the temperatures are heading down. They point to this week’s coldest temperatures in twenty years. The news media tells you what they want you to believe. It’s important to look at both sides of the argument.
Dark Winter
Mr. John L. Casey, Director of the Space and Science Research Center, issued a landmark declaration on climate change. “Climate change has been a perplexing problem for years. Casey, a former White House national space policy advisor, NASA headquarters consultant, and space shuttle engineer tells the truth about ominous changes taking place in the climate and the Sun. Casey believes Global Warming Has Ended. After an exhaustive review of a substantial body of climate research, and in conjunction with the obvious and compelling new evidence that exists, it is time that the world community acknowledges that the Earth has begun its next climate change. In an opinion echoed by many scientists around the world, the world’s climate warming of the past decades has now come to an end. A new climate era has already started that is bringing predominantly colder global temperatures for many years into the future. In some years this new climate will create dangerously cold weather with significant ill-effects worldwide.
Casey claims the cold era is coming about as a result of the reversal of the 206 year cycle of the sun which he independently discovered several years ago. We now have unmistakable signs of a decline in global temperatures and growing glacial ice, coupled with the dramatic if not startling changes in the sun’s surface including unusually low and slow sunspot activity. . Noted Russian astrophysicist Habibullo I. Abdussamatov has also argued that a new mini-ice age has begun,
Casey claims. “Our world is rapidly cooling. Even though we still may have isolated warm temperature records, the global trend to a colder era is now irreversible.” Casey congratulated the many other scientists around the world who had done “many years of outstanding research” which he used to corroborate his own research after he first found these climate-driving solar cycles. He listed and praised more than a dozen other scientists, most in foreign countries, who had come to the same prediction on the Earth’s climate shift to a cold era. He said, “I have consulted with colleague’s world wide who have reached a similar conclusion.
Casey detailed the solar activity cycles that have been driving the Earth’s climate for the past 1,200 years. He condemned the climate change confusion and alarmism which has accompanied seven separate periods over the past 100 years, where scientists and the media flip-flopped on reporting that the Earth was either entering a new ‘ice age’ or headed for a global meltdown where melting glacial ice would swamp the planet’s coastal cities. The sun is entering an extended “quiet period’ produced by reduced solar activity as shown in the chart.
“With the sun going into what I call “solar hibernation,” the earth will cool. And the harmful effects of solar radiation on astronauts in space will be minimized.” I can see,” he added, “just like the last time this 206 year cycle brought cold, that there will be substantial damage to the world’s agricultural systems. Climate during the Ice Age (the last 4 million years) has been particularly unstable, with many swings of more than 10°F.
The most important lessons drawn from geology are that the earth’s climate can change radically and that the pace of change can be rapid. Geology also supports the theory that past periods of especially warm temperature were caused by high atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. Of the many effects of global warming, geology is currently most relevant to sea level rise caused by melting glaciers.
“In fact, a very slight cooling trend appears.” Watts’ plotting of U.S. Surface Climate Observing Reference Networks (USCRN) data comes after NOAA researchers put out a study claiming there’s been no “hiatus” in global warming–despite a 15-year period with no significant rise in the world’s average temperature as of June 15, 2015. Judah Cohen, a renowned MIT climatologist, has been working on his theory for 17 years, despite skepticism from some U.S. government weather experts. Cohen, who figures the exceptional amount of snow cover this year in Siberia at this time, will bring the makings of be one an early, cold winter. His theory has been right 75 percent of the time.
NOAA reports, the combined average temperature over global land and ocean surfaces for September 2016 was the second highest for September in the 137-year record, 0.04°C (0.07°F) cooler than the record warmth of 2015. It now appears December may be one of the coldest on record.
As I write these files it is snowing earlier than I can remember in southern New Jersey. Although the summer months are warmer the winter has extreme cold temperatures. The Polar Vortex or winds around the pole have moved south and are causing colder weather in Europe, Asia, and North America affecting millions of people. Expect more snow and cold temperatures mush later in February and March particularly in Europe.
Did you know that in the past the Roman Period and Medieval Period were both warmer than today. The world then cooled several degrees from 1450 to 1850. This period was called the Little Ice Age (a period of glacial advance, the same glaciers that have been in retreat until recently). Global temperatures the past 10,000 years were also often warmer than today. These temperature variations were not caused by man. They were caused entirely by natural forces. Climatologists disagree and the news media has usual is agreeing with the Global Warming group, but expect a cold winter.

Porter Ranch — I must first apologize that while I always used to preach I’d have a steady hand if I ever saw something, I kept losing this thing on my camera and tried to refocus. But, I did get some good shots at the beginning and the end. This video was taken by me on November 28, 2016 around 4 pm. I pulled up home from work and noticed three planes at one time releasing chemtrails in all directions… I got out of my car after taking footage of one of the planes and noticed this glowing white orb or craft that was flying in and out of the trails. The beginning of the video and the end has the best focused shot but my camera just wouldn’t zoom anymore. West Palm Beach— I was drinking coffee on the balcony of my resort at 6:30 am on April 20, 2016. I was looking through photos of our trips when I discovered two objects in one of the photos and then just one object in the next photo. I believed the objects to be UFOs, which I took that morning. After seeing the objects in my photos, I had chills all over me and could not believe I actually had captured them in two photos. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Pocatello— I am a UFO photographer, and have taken pictures of everything from discs to triangles to ET. I have been totally fascinated with the amount of activity in the skies here, that I call Micro Machines. I can prove all of it; since I’ve been photographing them pretty steady for more than 5 years; I will leave a couple pictures in this letter for you. I have been doing my best to get the word out about these objects with not much luck. It seems that most people are asleep at the switch. During the day I get pictures of many different types of craft, but at night I get a totally different experience. I photograph and video these white light spheres that move over town very slowly, from a thousand feet up to 10 miles.
I call them Micro Machines because they are not organic; they are some kind of an Artificial Intelligence (Ai) probe. George Adamski back in the 1950’s, that our skies were flooded with these probes that ranged in size from a few centimeters to a few meters, I have photographed them all. I set up a tripod with my camera set to high speed continuous shutter and I would rip off about 20 frames at a time in different directions. I would notice these little objects moving through the frames at a pretty high rate of speed, on the computer. I was able to establish areas where they would be more often than not. Soon I would get better cameras and lenses. I am going out 5 and 6 times a day and catching these objects. When I photograph a bird of prey flying over fields there will be dozens of these objects flying all around the birds monitoring the wild life. I am using a Nikon D800 w/ 50mm f1.4 lens and at night I put on a 300 mm lens.
I call them Ai because I am positive they are not manmade. These little craft can cover 150 yards in one second and are watching everything that is going on. Winter months bring on orbs Thanks to MUFON CMS
Illinois Triangle of Lights
Chicago Heights — My girlfriend and I were picking her kid up in Frankfort, IL, and started heading north on Laraway Road on December 13, 2016. It was a full moon and when we observed five orange lights near each other in the east. We thought to ourselves those “planes” are really close to each other, but planes don’t fly that close to each other. On our way home we couldn’t stop gazing upon the lights. Then one light flew north and another to the south. Then there were three left that we thought might be Chinese lanterns but they were moving against the wind. We hit Route 30 and headed east traveling toward the lights and ended up 10 miles past Chicago Heights. The lights formed a triangle keeping perfect distance from each other moving slowly. Baltimore — I discovered the object in two pictures I took on August 20, 2015 at 03:41 pm, according to the data on my phone. In the first photo the picture is tiny – barely noticeable – and flying to the south.
In the second picture the same object is visible much lower and larger, looking pretty much due east. (Shown)
Whatever it is it moved a great distance within one minute. I was reviewing the old pictures on December 14, 2016 and noticed the object.

New Jersey UFO
Marlton— I was smoking a cigarette in a location off of Route. 70, on December 10, 2016 when I heard what sounded like a military helicopter in the distance. I moved to get a clear view of the sky because I wanted to see it. It sounded extremely close and I could feel the power, and vibrations. So finally it comes into view and it was hard to make out. There was a red orb in the front, with the chopper in the back. At first I thought it may be top secret military craft with cloaking or reflection or something of the sort. It was hard to make out in the night sky it being a black helicopter and all. When I focused in on it, I could make out a red/oranges orb shape which looked like it was glowing, producing and aura, and the helicopter 400 feet behind it. It was hard to make out and get a grasp with surroundings because it all happened so fast. They were both flying in a straight path at high speed.
I had to run around the corner to keep eye sight until it went over the tree line out of sight. My father came out because he heard the chopper and came to check it out and grab something out of the car. When he tried to lock it, he hit the lock button three times but the car was still unlocked, so it may have messed with the electrical system. Also take note Fort Dix and McGuire AFB are nearby. Brooklyn — This was taken from a bus that was moving very slowly during a tour on December 5, 2016. I used my iPhone when I took the photos. I only took a photo of this because I knew what the building was, but was not mentioned by the tour guide so there would probably not be others taking photos.
I saw the light after the fact when I was looking at my photos. If anyone has the knowledge to judge if this is a reflection, I would welcome that.

South Burlington— While smoking a cigarette at work around 6 am I took picture of the Moon on December 14, 2016.
There were no stars out nor did I see a plane, but it was a little cloudy. I did not see anything unusual at all until I looked at the photo and realized instantly something was there. I kept looking at the sky and could not see it.

Washington Light
Stevens Pass— After a day of skiing on December 12, 2016, I was staying the night at the ski resort with some friends. Around 7:00 p.m, I tried my best to get a picture with my phone that captured the whole scene. After snapping a couple photos, I first noticed the object in the screen of my phone. The object first appeared as a blotch of white light in the screen of my phone. It seemed like a morphing light ball with a bright core surrounded by a duller light and was very fluid yet erratic in its movements. I would say the core was the size of a large grapefruit and the outer layer the size of a beach ball. It was like a luminescent aerial jellyfish. The object first appeared in the sky around the trees and moved toward us. It came as close as the clock tower and could I only see the outer dull light, but the inner bright sphere was still visible in the screen of my phone. With my bare eyes the object was not very noticeable. It was glowing even brighter than what was captured by the camera. At one point most of my screen went white and I stood up and focused on the object as it shot off to the trees behind the lodge, paused for two seconds and then shot off over Big Chief Mountain at impossible speed and was gone. Likely unrelated, we did see multiple F/A-18 or F15s jets flying at low altitude over the resort the following morning. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Sydney — On October 11, 2016, I was outdoors working in the yard, when I became aware of an object in the sky which was at great height, it was also star bright against the blue of a perfectly clear midday. At first I was inclined to dismiss the anomaly as a plastic bag or balloon, as it seemed to be floating with airy swoops. I could see that it was cylindrical and was moving against the wind from east to west. A number of strange things happened during my observation as all the birds fell silent; just as they do in the presence of a predator. The other interesting thing was that the anomaly seemed to respond directly to my thoughts (I know that this is a preposterous suggestion and that its subsequent change of direction was purely coincidence) – but twice it seemed to react to my thoughts. the first time I thought “come this way you bugger, so that I can get a better look at you!” and to my surprise, it changed its direction from heading west and then arced toward me in the north east, again traveling end over end (almost like a boomerang) and then when it was directly overhead, I thought “stop…So that I can see you better.” and to my surprise, it did. Still it was very high and it appeared to be being mobbed by white birds, small white dots were swooping in toward and then away from it. Despite the wind, it remained stationary. Abbotsford, British Columbia, — I have here a couple of photos taken December 6, 2016 of two objects in the southeast sky. They were heading east over Mount Baker in Washington State at 7:50 AM. I took these photos on the Canadian side of the border. When I saw them I thought they were American Bombers coming from Alaska, but I realized they were heading the wrong way or on a different heading that they normally fly back to Idaho or North Dakota. This is a daily occurrence so I am well versed in their flight path. The other thing that struck me was that there was no visible vapor trail which every jet trails at high altitude. As a comparison I am including two photos that I took this morning same place, same time, and same direction of travel. The other difference is the plane was visible for minutes as it flew away from me, but the two objects yesterday were gone right after I took the photo.
Note: The witness presented an argument that the object photographed was not a conventional military craft as he is used to seeing them on a regular basis. He mentions that the object did not leave a vapor trail. Enhancement does show a trail behind the object. However, the witness stated that the object disappeared. Bucaramanga— I was around the pool of my hotel taking sun on December 11, 2016, a sunny, clear day when I saw something in the sky. My friend who was beside me saw it too. Our first impression was a paraglider but my friend said, “It can’t be because it was very high and the shape does not look like that. It was moving slow and looks like it’s hovering over the city. Germany Round Object
Dresden — I have a 1680 book of the history of Dresden, Germany. There is a description of three objects that appeared in the sky in 1620. There was an apparent exchange of light rays and smoke and noise between the larger round object and the two smaller round ones on either side. The population who witnessed this was quite frightened. The objects remained for many hours and then disappeared. I can send you a copy of this page and my translation of the German article, if you like. Mashhad — As shown in the attached image, an unknown white light, which was like a very large star, was visible in the mountains of Mashhad between 17:30 to 18:25 on December 13, 2016.

Mazatlan — I was working on a bricked outdoor structure with mud making bricks. It was 3 or 4 in the morning when a co-worker told me, “Look José I see a trail of light passing over the hill illuminating like day.” What really shone was the golden color smoke left in its wake. When it crashed there was a solid metal thud like a giant hammer hitting a giant nail. I viewed a big flash and heard the sound. It all happened in about 10 seconds on February 22, 1997, at a distance of 7 km or so from where I was working. I saw something like a flash with my own eyes. The years passed and technology reached us and I checked Google Earth and I could not believe it was UFO that crashed and next year celebrates 20 years. Thanks to MUFON CMS

I was in my house going upstairs to my room to dress on December 8, 2016 and looked out my l large window and saw an object above our bank and it stayed there motionless. Then I realized it was slowly moving to the right and then slowly to the left. I was about to get my binoculars when it moved straight to the right until I couldn’t see it anymore.
I was shocked and baffled because I’m sure as hell it’s the same one I’ve seen many months ago but it’s movement was different, before it moved fast like a drunk person in all types of directions then vanished but this time was different and I actually have video tape proof of it this time, I was pretty scared of what they are capable of since they can see and hear me from where they are

Moon — I was trying out my new camera, and love astronomy, so took a few pictures of the moon. Later, after looking at the pictures, I see two strange lights below the moon.
I don’t know what to make of them, but they look out-of-place. I was in my back garden in the UK, and it was dark here. The lights are small, so I could not make out any detail. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Glasgow — I was out playing with my kids on a nice summer evening. My daughter noticed a strange rainbow, it was not curved like a usual rainbow instead it was a blob of couloirs in the sky on August 18, 2016. I took a picture and then noticed there was an object in the picture, an orb with 4 lights. I then pointed my phone at the object I could now see in the sky. I zoomed in and took another picture and noticed the lights had changed. I thought the object looked quite strange it seemed to emit a yellowish glow. I watched for another few minutes until it faded from sight travelling in a North Easterly direction. This was at 7:46 pm. It lasted for perhaps 20 minutes. MYSTERY: It is still not known what happened at Roswell in New Mexico
The infamous event will reach its 70th anniversary in 2017 and Nick Pope, who investigated UFO phenomena for the UK MoD until 2009, says he believes the truth is out there.
Roswell Daily Record newspaper reported in 1947 that an alien spacecraft crashed in the New Mexico desert.
A press release was sent out by the military that it had found the remains of a crashed flying saucer but the next day it backtracked.

It was instead claimed to be a damaged US Air Force air balloon and many believe this was a cover-up.
People reported seeing alien bodies within the UFO which were taken away by authorities.
This comes as a witness to "Britain's Roswell" spoke out after nearly 40 years.

Mr Pope said on his blog: "As every citizen of Roswell knows, the city is at the centre of one of the greatest mysteries of all time.
"In 1947, something crashed in the New Mexico desert and was taken to Roswell Army Air Field — now the Roswell International Air Center."
He added: "As we approach the 70th anniversary of this much-debated incident, the Roswell Daily Record is launching a campaign to resolve the mystery for once and for all.
"While people argue to this day about what happened at Roswell in the summer of 1947, nobody disputes that something crashed.
“That’s because far from denying this, the military authorities actually helped get the story out — at least at first."

Many believe the mystery will never be solved but Pope is determined.
He added: "70 years on, is there any hope of solving the mystery?
"I think there is. I used to investigate UFOs for the British government, which was just one of a number of fascinating postings I had in a 21-year career at the UK’s Ministry of Defence."
Pope said: "In my experience, the key to solving a mystery like this lies in the community in which these events unfolded.
"That’s why I’ve teamed up with the Roswell Daily Record to launch an appeal. Because nobody denies there was a crash, we know that there was wreckage.
"And because no clean-up operation can ever be perfect, and because people like souvenirs, we believe there could still be pieces of this wreckage somewhere out there in the local community."
