Grey Aliens: Where are they from?

About the Greys

First, I will stop referring to the grey skinned, short alien as a “Zeta”. The name was derived from the starmap shown to Betty Hill during her abduction which was later believed to show the star system Zeta Reticuli. Betty has vehemently denied that her encounter was with this type of being.

Almost everything that we know about the Greys comes from people who have been abducted by them, or with their help. Some of this information is from hypnosis therapy, but a good deal of it is from actual memories.

Although there have been over 50 different kinds of aliens reported and cataloged in abduction scenarios, the Greys have been the most common since about 1980. Greys have been witnessed working with almost all of the other species. They are usually the beings that do the actual abduction, moving their victims to locations where the other types of aliens perform tests and conduct interviews.

Greys are about 4 to 4 1/2 feet tall, have no hair, unusually large heads (especially the cranium) and pointed jaws. Their mouths are very small and seldom move. Their noses are either extremely small by human comparison or completely missing, with two small holes showing. But perhaps the signature feature of Greys are their two large, almond shaped, black eyes.

People always remark that the body of Greys is extremely thin. They appear to have no striated muscles on their arms or legs. Their necks are so thin that it is often remarked that they shouldn’t support such a large head, yet they do. Their arms are longer than humans, ending below their knees, and they have hands with only four fingers of differing lengths.

The physical descriptions of Greys is always consistent when recalled by abductees. They also report that Greys are capable of limited telepathic communication — mostly reassuring their victims that “Everything will be fine”. They seem able to put humans into a trance by staring at them and it is often reported that “they read my soul”, referring to their ability to scan the mind of their victims.

You will notice that I am using the word “victims” here, since the abductees are most often taken against their will, traumatized by painful examinations and surgical procedures, and left with mental and physical damage. Indeed, their reassurance that everything will be “fine” is the first of many deceptions.

Have YOU been abducted?

You might think this is a foolish question but it’s not. A recent survey conducted by the Roper Organization asked American subjects certain questions designed to reveal abductees. Their results showed that, back in 1998, 1 of every 50 subjects had experienced an alien abduction. Typically, abductions are on-going and often begin in childhood.

According to Dr. Karla Turner, who has worked with over 400 abduction cases and has written the book “Into the Fringe”, the abduction phenomena includes some of the following details:

• Aliens, especially Greys, can alter our perceptions of our surroundings. They can create a kind of “virtual reality” in our mind and can appear to us any number of guises and shapes. Perhaps the mental “scanning” is used to select imagery to calm the victims and substitute memories of the abduction. They can be present with us in an invisible state and can make themselves only partially visible by this same ability.
• Abductees receive marks on their bodies. Scoops of flesh are mysteriously missing and straight-line scars sometimes appear on victims’ bodies. Other marks include single punctures, multiple punctures, large bruises, three-and four fingered claw marks, and trangles of every possible sort.
• Female abductees often suffer serious gynecological problems after their alien encounters, and sometimes these problems lead to cysts, tumors, cancer of the breast and uterus, and to hysterectomies.
• Abductees report being scoffed at, jeered at, and threatened by their alien captors. Painful genital and anal probes are performed — even on young children — and unknown fluids are injected into some abductees.
• Abductees report being taken to underground facilities where they see grotesque hybrid creatures, nurseries of hybrid humanoid fetuses, and vats of colored liquid filled with parts of bodies. Other abductees report seeing other humans in these facilities being drained of blood, mutilated, flayed, dismembered, and stacked like cords of wood. Some abductees have been threatened that they, too, will end up in this condition if they don’t co-operate with their alien captors.
• Aliens have forced their human abductees to have sexual intercourse with aliens and even with other abductees while groups of aliens observe these performances. In such encounters, the aliens have sometimes disguised themselves in order to gain the cooperation of the abductee, appearing in such forms as Jesus, Blessed Mary, the Pope, certain celebrities, and even the dead spouses of the abductees. The Grey’s ability to scan our minds allows them to assess our vulnerabilities and customize the abduction experience.
• Aliens make predictions of an imminent period of global chaos and destruction. They say that a certain number of humans will be “rescued” from the planet in order to continue the species, either on another planet or back on earth after the destruction is over. Many abductees report they don’t believe their alien captors and foresee instead a much more sinister use of the “rescued” humans.
• Many alien prophesies to contactees of the 50’s and even today have failed to come true or appear to be outright lies. Many contactees and abductees today are again delivering warnings of coming earth changes and disasters along with promises of help from aliens. They feel “choosen” to deliver these messages to mankind. Again the Grey’s know their vulnerable egos can compel their cooperation. The prophesies often create false hope and dependancy on their abductors whom they know little about.

Good and Bad Greys

OK. That’s pretty bad stuff — and very frightening. But it gets worse. So let’s get all the bad stuff out in the open before we explore the good side of Greys. The following is a well known conspiracy theory about a secret base where humans (military) and Greys work together. Apparently the Greys have the upper hand as you will see in this eye-witness account of what happened when their secret underground dwelling was accidentally disturbed.

Theories depicting Greys as evil   Phil Schneider, one of three people to survive the 1979 fire fight between the large Greys, US intelligence and military at the Dulce underground base, was found dead January 1996, due to what appears to be an execution style murder. He was found dead in his apartment with a piano wire wrapped around his neck. According to sources, it appeared that he repeatedly suffered torture before he was finally killed. Seven months prior to his death , Schneider did a lecture on the forces he had discovered at Dulce.Here is his story: Back in 1954, under the Eisenhower administration, the federal government decided to circumvent the Constitution of the United States and form a treaty with alien entities. It was called the 1954 Grenada Treaty, which basically made the agreement that the aliens involved could take a few cows and test their implanting techniques on a few human beings, but that they had to give details about the people involved. Slowly, the aliens altered the bargain until they decided they wouldn’t abide by it at all. Back in 1979, this was the reality, and the fire-fight at Dulce occurred quite by accident. “I was involved in building an addition to the deep underground military base at Dulce, which is probably the deepest base. It goes down seven levels and over 2.5 miles deep. At that particular time, we had drilled four distinct holes in the desert, and we were going to link them together and blow out large sections at a time. My job was to go down the holes and check the rock samples, and recommend the explosive to deal with the particular rock. As I was headed down there, we found ourselves amidst a large cavern that was full of outer-space aliens, otherwise known as large Greys. I shot two of them. At that time, there were 30 people down there. About 40 more came down after this started, and all of them got killed. We had surprised a whole underground base of existing aliens. Later, we found out that they had been living on our planet for a long time, perhaps a million years. This could explain a lot of what is behind the theory of ancient astronauts. “Anyway, I got shot in the chest with one of their weapons, which was a box on their body, that blew a hole in me and gave me a nasty dose of cobalt radiation. I have had cancer because of that. “I didn’t get really interested in UFO technology until I started work at Area 51, north of Las Vegas. After about two years recuperating after the 1979 incident, I went back to work for Morrison and Knudson, EG&G and other companies. At Area 51, they were testing all kinds of peculiar spacecraft. How many people here are familiar with Bob Lazar’s story? He was a physicist working at Area 51 trying to decipher the propulsion factor in some of these craft.   Dulce Base — under Mt. Archuleta, Dulce, New Mexico. Located close to the Colorado border and situated on the Jicarella Apache Indian Reservation. The town of Dulce is located off U.S. Route 64 population 900-1,700. A small town with one motel and a gas station. The base is located 2.5 miles northwest of Dulce and almost overlooks the town. Joint CIA-Alien base. 95 miles northwest of Los Alamos. Biogenetics Laboratory including but not limited to: Atomic Manipulation, cloning, studies of the human aura, advanced mind control applications, animal/human crossbreeding, visual and audio human chip implantation, abduction and feeding off of humans including children. The Second Largest Reptilian and Grey Base in North America. The Central Hub. *1st Level – contains the garage for Street Maintenance. *2nd Level- contains the garage for trains, shuttles, tunnel-boring machines and UFO maintenance. *3rd Level – the first 3 levels contain government offices. *4th Level – Human Aura Research as well as aspects of Dream Manipulation, Hypnosis, and Telepathy. They can lower your heartbeat with Delta Waves and introduce data and programmed reactions into your mind (for those implanted with brain chips). Most people already are, they just don’t know it. *5th Level – witnesses have described huge vats with amber liquid with parts of human bodies being stirred inside. Rows and rows of cages holding men, women and children — some believe to be used as food. Perhaps thousands. *6th Level — privately called “Nightmare Hall.” It contains the genetic labs. Here are where the crossbreeding experiments of human/animal are done on fish, seals, birds, and mice that are vastly altered from their original forms. There are multi-armed and multi-legged humans and several cages and vats of humanoid bat-like creatures up to 7 feet tall. *7th level – Row after row of 1,000s of humans in cold storage including children. We have no way of knowing if the accounts of Grey activity at Dulce, New Mexico are true. Even the local people are a bit paranoid about what lies under the nearby mountains. Strange lights are often seen and some ranchers have reported seeing steam coming from air vents in the valleys. It’s almost sure thatsomething is under the earth — but whatever it is must be very secret.

Harvesting Souls?

Nigel Kerner has written books describing the Greys as a race of biologic robots, created long ago by some superior civilization that they outlived. Although they are self-aware, Greys are like the Tin Man in the Wizzard of Oz — only instad of a heart, Greys need our souls. Kerner describes the abduction phenomenon in terms of a “Harvest” where potential human candidates are examined and nurtured for that moment when they will have their spirit essence transferred to a waiting Grey.

This theory has some interesting support from social scientists who open our eyes to cultural trends that can only be described as pure “evil.” The widespread introduction of materialism, free pornography and secularism seem to have no other reward but to destroy personal integrity and morality. Poverty also enslaves the population and destroys the family structure. All these trends diminish our spiritual strength making our souls vulnerable and ripe for the harvest. And all these cultural shifts could well be the fruit of abductions and implanted ideologies.

As crazy as these theories sound, the abduction phenomenon is itself crazy, but very real. We should not easily dismiss the association of Greys with the underworld, decpetion and evil. “By way of deception thou shall do war.”

Next up… the other side of Greys

Next we’ll take a look at the side of Greys that some people consider beneficial to humans. We’ll see how they interact with some people to reveal future events and help our species. We’ll also see that all Greys are not alike. And some Greys are trying to correct the harm that has been inflicted on humans by their own race.

After the horrific stories of what humans have endured, and continue to endure in abductions, it seems an uphill battle to portray the Greys as benevolent and altruistic. Yet that is what many people believe. Their argument deserves consideration but requires a serious upgrade in our concept of good intentions and wise intervention.

Us and Them

Let’s get off planet Earth for a moment and consider the unimaginable vastness of the universe and its possibilities. Countless inhabited planets have evolved with intelligent life capable of technologies and philosophies that are thousands, millions or even billions of years ahead of what we understand. In this scenario we, humans, are part of the mix. We too are aliens.

While an extrateresstrial species visiting our planet must have the prerequisite understanding of the “big picture”, we don’t yet have this. In fact, we are still debating whether there is life anywhere else. Our experience with other species is limited to our interactions with the human, animal, plant and marine life on Earth, which we have routinely exploited.

Although diverse, the universe appears to have laws and patterns. Undoubtedly, intelligent beings have a pattern of evolution that can be recognized by beings who are familiar with, and have studied, a variety of inhabited worlds. The challenges faced by homo sapiens sapiens are likely not unique and extraterrestrial observers can assess our progress and pitfalls with some objectivity.

One of the “laws” of nature is that progress is the result of trial and error. Error is important — it is the great teacher. Once burnt, twice as shy. And so the concept of the Prime Directive, as introduced by Roddenberry’s Star Trek series, is valid.

This is perhaps the reason Greys do not stop wars, plagues, over population, pollution or famines. Like children, we must learn our lessons the hard way. Their apparent indifference does not justify our perception of evil intent.

But what about the abductions? Can we justify them?

Microcosm and Macrocosm

One of the reasons that the prime directive was instituted was to prevent evolving civilizations from obtaining technologies that outpaced their culture. Giving young children handguns is a recipe for a catastrophe. Our own tribal and warfare culture is experiencing this with the recent discovery of atomic fission.

What is true on Earth is also true in the universe. Unless a civilization has reached some type of peaceful wisdom or moral spirituality, interplanetary travel will bring with it those same unresolved competitive and exploitive traits. We should expect to see these same traits in some of our encounters with extraterrestrial visitors. But again, this pattern should be known and some aliens will likely try to prevent our exploitation.

I guess I am trying to paint a picture of “good” and “bad” encounters that are possible and likely have happened to us in our history. To some aliens we are seen as interesting and potentially good creatures, worthy of respect. To others we are seen as cattle. The nature of the abduction experience can thus be varied.

Greys seem to be both good and bad. This has led some to believe that they are at conflict with themselves. Abductees speak of “service to self” Greys as the bad ones and “service to others” as the good Greys. This apparent split in ideology came about in the 1980s. It is believed that the “service to self” Greys had either threatened or offered technology to the governments and military in return for their unhindered molestation of humanity and that certain “service to others” Greys revolted, forming their own camp.

Zeta Talk

The split in ideologies with Greys happened after Dr. Karla Turner’s documentation of the horrific alien abductions. Her descriptions led one to believe that the Greys were custodians or shepherds of human beings, allowing other malevolent aliens to have their way with us. Indeed Greys do appear to be the stewards of the planet. They have apparently been here a long time and have messed with us continuously.

The “service to others” Greys are a more recent phenomenon. These beings supposedly speak through selected humans, giving messages about peace, the environment and planetary change. Unfortunately, their method of communication with the public is distorted by the messengers and is greatly diluted.

I’m not sure what we can make of these kinds of interactions. Wikipedia has a list of over 40 alien contactees who have, over the years, given various predictions and information designed to save humanity. So far, the Greys track record has been abysmal. Yet each contactee apparently was sincere and took up the role of messenger with little financial reward. Many were also subjected to great ridicule, nevertheless, it seems they truly believed in the reality of their their abductions and special status.

We can only wonder why Greys — even good Greys — would treat their human associates with such disdain. Are they really good? Or is the whole idea about “service to others” just another deception?

Dr. Karla Turner reminds us that the Greys first claimed the abductions were to regenerate their dying species. Later they were to uplift our human species. Now they are sorry for their callous treatment and want to help us escape planetary disaster. Yet the horrific abductions and deception continues.

For now, the answer to the question of their origin remains a mystery. But their new residence is surely our planet. We can only hope that they intend to share this world with us and that they don’t have a more sinister agenda.

1. Our Aging Universe

Light does more than just illuminate. It can also help chart the history of the universe. Astronomers in Hawaii captured this image—made with a combination of wide, deep, and ultra-deep imaging—to study light in the universe going back billions of years. Dimmer areas represent light emitted when the universe was much younger. The project has only just started, but so far, researchers have collected data equivalent to 10 million high school yearbook photos, all of which are available for perusal online.

2. Deep-Sea Jelly

The Pacific Ocean is full of mysteries, some of which are more opaque than others. But thanks to the work of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, we're able to see new, high-resolution images of this deep-sea jellyfish, the rhopalonematid trachymedusa, doing it's blobby thing. The little alien was filmed deep in the milky waters of the National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa, where the administration currently runs a research expedition. [H/T Gizmodo.]

3. Aurora Rockets

NASA has its own earthly mysteries to study. This year, the administration is focusing its magnifying glass on the Aurora Borealis, the Arctic's family friendly, all-natural light show. The goal of the "Auroral Arcs" mission is to understand what factors influence the formation of the physical phenomenon. To do so, they sent four rockets straight through it, and now plan to analyze the flight patterns. The idea is that the rocket's landing is influenced by the same electric fields and physical forces that cause the Northern Lights' movements.

4. Great Red Spot

There are a million reasons Elon Musk isn't considering colonizing Jupiter. It's one of the "gas giants," so it probably lacks a totally solid center (meaning you could hypothetically travel through its core and pop out the other side), and it's full of substances unfavorable to human survival including methane, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide. It's also home to the Great Red Spot, captured in this image from the Juno spacecraft. Don't let the name fool you—this is not a vintage bedtime story. It's actually a rollicking storm twice the diameter of Earth, and it's not likely to blow over anytime soon. While we probably won't ever visit, staring at it from afar is still pretty great.

5. Life Before The EPA

Rivers are not typically supposed to burn. In fact, they tend to be the sources of water used to put out a fire. But in 1952, Ohio's Cuyahoga River caught on fire due to years of flammable manufacturing and sewage byproducts being expelled directly into it. NASA KNEW ABOUT ALIEN STRUCTURES ON THE MOON – AND THESE OLD PHOTOS PROVE IT!

You’re a space agency and you know the public is expecting hi-res images of the Moon surface. What do you do? Bring out the ol’ airbrush!

 

In 1994, a joint mission between NASA and the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO) saw the successful launch of the Deep Space Program Science Experiment, formally known as Clementine.

 

One month after launch, the 500-pound spacecraft positioned itself into lunar orbit and began transmitting photos of our satellite’s surface. Equipped with state of the art imaging technology, Clementine was more than able to capture hi-res photos of the Moon’s crust. And during its 300+ orbits, it had plenty of chances to gather meaningful data.

 

 

Those on the ground who were expecting to see the high resolution images were in for a surprise when the Navy released its first set of images. They were heavily pixelated and in low resolution .gif format, and little detail could be extracted from the images made available to the general public. What gives? they asked themselves.

 

How could those blurry images be the best available format sent back by a $200 million piece of space equipment? The whole thing remained a mystery for years. But slowly, people began to realize the images they were given showed obvious signs of tampering and censorship. Multiple areas of lunar interest had been purposefully blurred out as if NASA and the Navy were intentionally hiding something.

 

In many photos, the Clementine data showed blacked out areas, like the one in the image below.

 

 

This is the Rainer Gamma region, a 40 mile-wide albedo region west of the Reiner crater. The official explanation for the black square is ‘data loss’ but we all know this isn’t the case.

 

The next photo is another great example of image manipulation. As with the image before, the same ‘data loss’ pretext was invoked, but even to the untrained eye, this looks like intentional smudging. They could have said data corruption but it looks like they weren’t even trying to cover their actions

 

 

This deliberate suppression becomes even more blatant in the famous lunar tower photos.

 

 

Even though they smudged the hell out of those unexplained structures, the cover-up artists managed to overlook a tiny detail. Find the center of the image, go right a little, if you reached the smudged lunar tower you’ve gone too far. Notice anything? Zoomed image below shows what I’m talking about.

 

 

This definitely looks like a solid object hovering well above the lunar surface. You can distinguish its triangular shape and even the fins at its rear end. These details can also be seen in the shadow the object casts below.

 

Even from sketchy, low-resolution images like these ones, the curious and free mind can extract some conclusions.

• NASA and the Navy should have provided photographs with a much greater level of detail. The fact that they failed to do so suggests some hidden motivation was at play;

• The intentional smudging further cements the idea that alien structures on the Moon are a possibility;

• If we’re being duped regarding these alien structures, it stands to reason we’re being subjected to a battery of other, equally-disconcerting lies.

Naturally, these assumptions are backed by the multitude of valid and verifiable conspiracy theories, but don’t let me tell you about what goes on the Moon. This video shows a UFO moving over to a triangle group thats in sitting in delta position. I also love that the person pulled their car over to take a more steady video of the UFOs. This could be the Tall Whites since they have a base just a few miles away over at Nellis AFB. One thing the Tall Whites hate...and thats being told what to do or not to do...they just do it. They probably felt cramped in the base and wanted to fly around to have a look.

UFO Orb Fleet Over Conway, Washington On Sept 2016, Photos, UFO Sighting News.

This report just in. Its about a fleet of glowing orbs buzzing around a hill area in Washington back in September of 2016. As you can see from his photos (I didn't change them in any way) the glowing UFOs stay in a group of 4 while a single orb explores the ground. This keeps the ground one safe from being seen to closely, and the UFOs higher up are just there to keep look out.

Eyewitness states:

Event date: 9/29/16 20:45-21:30 My friends and I were at a place we have previously seen UFOs at, catching up, when we noticed at an approximate heading of 190 a craft that was first assumed to be a plane. First photograph shows first object approximately 1° below horizon. Craft is later seen 4-5° above horizon with an estimated distance of 2-8 miles. Shortly after first observation, a smaller light emerged from the first, and took up position near it. Then, a second did the same, along with a 3rd. Emerged lights seemed to orbit in irregular patterns around original object, as the larger one slowly seemed to move to a heading of 180° After roughly 10 minutes of observation, the 3 other objects seemingly rejoined the original, as though they were docking. 

 (Witness reporting is a pilot, and states that helicopters are incapable of docking, and that these craft, including craft from previous sightings in same location, behaved in ways impossible for even the most advanced military aircraft.)

The 4 objects were completely silent, and operated in a manner resembling spacecraft in orbit, though the objects maintained geological position ± 5° for 45 minutes, unlike an orbiting craft. Unfortunately, it was dark, and any surface details of the objects were impossible to see. Images will be provided in hopes that the reader of this report will observe them with photo editing software and share their observations with the witness. At 2129 hours, craft was last photographed before disappearing in the following 5 minutes. Craft was observed to 'fade away' instead of departing. (Witness states that standard night-flying procedure involves the constant use of lights to display location to local traffic. To turn off lights at 9:30 pm would be unsafe.

Massive UFO Surfaces From The Lake And Flies Off

A triangular UFO was observed surfacing from Green Bay, a sub-basin of Lake Michigan, near Little Suamico in Wisconsin before flying off, according to the witness testimony filed in the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) reporting database. The witness estimated the unidentified flying object to be 100 to 150 feet in length, which was apparently seen at 2:10 in the morning on November 28, local time.

Wisconsin MUFON investigator Susan Birttnen said the witness estimated the speed of the UFO to be about 35 knots. The object in question was so close that the witness was able to hear a muffled jet sound. As the strange aerial object emerged from the water, it turned on its side while flying towards the west and gained elevation.

Birttnen closed the case as unknown based on the evidence and the provided witness’ data.

The unidentified witness included a detailed description of the object. According to his account, the color was dark, and it had blue flashing lights. The distance was less than a thousand feet, and the elevation was approximately five hundred feet.  The side of the triangle, according to the witness, was between a hundred and a hundred fifty feet.

The witness somewhat believes that the UFO could have been a top secret craft developed through alien technology reverse engineering and run by the U.S. Air Force.

Below is one video out of thousands floating around on the internet of supposed footage of unidentified flying objects. Keep in mind, many pictures and videos of these crafts have been published and analyzed thoroughly, so there is no shortage of verified footage and pictures. (More information on that can be found below the video.)

This one in particular comes from Dr. Steven Greer, founder of The Disclosure Project and the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI). Known to some as the “Father of the Disclosure Movement,” he was instrumental in bringing forth hundreds of military whistleblowers of all ranks, with verified backgrounds, to share their experience and testify on the UFO/extraterrestrial phenomenon.

There is, admittedly, plenty of disinformation being spread within the UFOlogy field, and many people seeking to manipulate the evidence and public opinion, which makes it difficult to assess what information is legitimate and what is not. It unfortunately comes down to doing your own research and using your best judgement.

Greer has had meetings with high level people in the Pentagon, according to himself, Dr. Edgar Mitchell (Apollo 14, who accompanied him on some of these meetings), and many more.

Dr. Greer has been doing these types of outings for quite a while, and he’s not the only one. Last year, a couple of CE members made a trip out to a gathering of researchers, whistleblowers. and enthusiasts, and witnessed something similar.

When you get to that level, and hang around those types of people, your going to draw attention, and anybody who draws massive amounts of attention will be praised, as well as vilified. Within the UFO movement, there are those that disagree and don’t associate with each other, which is very weird and shouldn’t be happening.

I think it’s safe to say that UFOs are no longer a fringe topic, as their existence has been verified in the mainstream world, but beyond that, most people are still in the dark. It’s important to keep in mind that a decade ago you were considered a conspiracy theorist for even believing in the existence of UFOs. Things have changed since then, but believing that some of these craft are extraterrestrial in origin is still considered ‘out there.’

This is why so many scientists around the world have been urging the scientific study of UFOs for decades. The Sturrock Report, for example, an effort that gathered the world’s top minds, was put together in the form of a paper urging that, if “the analysis of physical evidence turns up very strong evidence that objects related with UFO reports were manufactured outside the solar system, then one must obviously consider very seriously that the phenomenon involves not only extraterrestrial vehicles, but probably also extraterrestrial beings.”

Their main objective was to examine any possible physical evidence, and have it carefully collected and analyzed. These objects have been commonly photographed, as well as tracked on air/ground radar.

The pilots were flying in a formation of four F86 Sabre jet aircraft. One of the pilots described the phenomenon as a “bright light which was sharply defined and disk-shaped,” that looked like “a shiny silver dollar sitting horizontal.” Another pilot managed to photograph the object, as you can see above.

An analysis of this case was also published in the Journal of Scientific Exploration (“Optical Power Output of an Unidentified High Altitude Light Source,” vol. 13, #2, 1999).

This is one of many examples to give you an idea. Many documents indicate electrical equipment failure when entering the vicinity of these UFOs, like this one from the National Security Agency (NSA).

Just as there was evidence for UFOs when they were still considered a conspiracy, most, if not all researchers who have studied this phenomenon, will tell you with absolute certainty that there is ample evidence to support what’s known as the “extraterrestrial hypothesis,” and so will high ranking whistleblowers with verified backgrounds, from various decades — from Herman Oberth, one of the founding fathers of modern rocketry, to Edgar Mitchell, the 6th man to walk on the moon.

It’s similiar to Snowden’s mass surveillance revelation, which also used to be considered a conspiracy theory. His story stands as a great example of just how hard it is for someone to blow the whistle on secret, unacknowledged Special Access Programs.

These objects perform maneuvers that defy our understanding of physics. What’s more, there have been strange reports of involvement with and of extraterrestrials within the secret space program.

Below is a video that shows an unexplained anomaly that occurred on NASA instruments using 304 Angstroms. An ultraviolet instrument shows an extreme and sudden change in both a composite image and again on SDO’s camera. Immediately the producers of the video went to the GONG network and were able to capture anomalies that happened at the exact same time. Within minutes of having captured these strange flashes the pictures began to disappear from the websites.

Since bizarre flashing has already been reported this month and the last few months I felt these images should be called to your attention. I am not pretending to know specifically what happened but, it appears to have happened in the corona of the Sun and may involve this helium cone that has been brought to everybody’s attention.

An interview with the guy responsible for dressing astronauts.

Robert Trevino is a senior engineer with NASA's Crew and Thermal Systems Division. Among other duties, that means he's responsible for what astronauts wear in outer space. Whether it's regular cotton polos and cargo shorts on the International Space Station or textiles resistant to fire and bacteria designed for the mission to Mars, Trevino and his team must consider every aspect of astronaut wear, from comfort to weight to durability. The question of laundry might sound banal at first, but it in fact reveals how even the most trivial aspects of spaceflight must be considered long and hard if humanity is to push its boundaries.

I spoke with Trevino at length about the current state and future development of space-wear. The conversation has been edited for clarity and brevity.

Motherboard: Within the International Space Station, the astronaut uniform consists of a polo and cargo pants. Is there anything special about these?

No, that's just very comfortable clothing that the astronauts like. The space station is what we call a one-atmosphere, or shirtsleeve, environment. The air is just like the air we breathe on Earth–20 percent oxygen, 80 percent nitrogen–so we don't have the flammability concerns that we have in Apollo or Skylab, which have a much higher oxygen level.

Motherboard: This may be a stupid question, but where do you buy all the polos and cargo pants? Costco?

We have a contractor, Lockheed Martin, which provides the clothing, and they purchase from Lands' End, Cabela's, Blackhawk. They are commercial products, but we do test them to our requirements.

Motherboard: Besides flammability, are there any other concerns about the current uniform?

The clothes we're talking about are their daily wear, what they wear going through their daily routine inside the station—operating the equipment, doing experiments, doing maintenance, things like that. All the crew members are also required to do at least an hour of exercise a day. We have to do exercise to mitigate the effects of zero gravity on the body—muscle atrophy, loss of calcium in the bones. We have a whole different ensemble for exercise. The exercise clothes are also commercial, but we have been looking at new material that is much more breathable, odor absorbing and sweat resistant.

Motherboard: Are the exercise clothes just tracksuits?

When the crews get assigned to a space station mission, they go to our lab that has clothing. In their training they get to evaluate some of the clothing, and they select what they like. For example, with exercise clothing, just like you might want a loose fit on a T-shirt, another crew member might want to have more of a compression fit. Almost all the exercise clothes are breathable, 100 percent polyester, and then the shorts, the socks tend to be polycotton. The underwear is up to them.

We don't have a laundry system, so the space station crew basically wear clothes until they smell bad, then throw them in the trash. After the Progress, the Russian cargo vehicle, docks and all the cargo's unloaded, they load it up with trash, which burns up on re-entry. In the future, on missions farther from Earth, we're not going to have that luxury, of the space station having cargo vehicles that bring them fresh clothing. We've done trade studies of providing a laundry system which uses water and power and requires something to take it up, versus the cost of just replacing the clothing, and right now it's essentially cheaper to replace the clothing because water is just too valuable of a resource.

Unless we find so much ice on Mars that we have plenty of water, water will still be a problem. We're interested in developing clothing that will be much more antibacterial, and I also have some research projects going on looking at alternate laundry systems that are not water-based.

We've looked at putting clothing that's already perspired on and has an odor into an airlock and exposing it to the vacuum of space. We did that and saw a decrease in bacteria, but odor comes from decaying bacteria. Ultraviolet is already being used in hospitals to disinfect rooms, so we've done some testing of exposing different material swatches to ultraviolet. We have a crew that's testing the frequency of microwaves and the amount of power provided because we know that microwaves will kill bacteria, but we don't want to also melt the clothing.

Even if we don't get the clothes as clean as you would in a full laundry cycle in your home with water and soap and everything, if we can just extend the life or the use of that clothing for two weeks to four weeks or six weeks, we've already cut the amount of clothing in half. We have a project here at NASA called Logistics Reduction for Advanced Exploration Missions, where we want to look at ways that we can reduce some of the logistics for these missions, because when you go to Mars, you're not going to have cargo resupply coming. It might be a three-year mission with a one-year stay on the surface, and you really need to bring everything with you. It would be too expensive to send cargo vehicles with clothing.

Motherboard: How long do the uniforms currently last?

They wear exercise clothing for not more than two weeks, but their other clothes last much longer. What they do in the space station is they get a certain amount of daily wear—polos and shorts. You normally have a rotation of three to six months. If they wear one shirt that they really like for a couple of months, they might throw that one away.

Before the term "wearable technology" came up, we were doing a lot of that – for example, in the spacesuit. Inside the spacesuit, one would wear a liquid cooling and ventilation garment. It basically looks like a pair of long johns that go from your ankles up to your wrist. In it, there's a series of tubing through which we circulate water. It acts just like a radiator in your car. As you're working in space and generating metabolic heat, you have air that will create conduction in the spacesuit. You've got to get that heat away from your body, so this garment will conduct your body heat. Water will circulate in cold and come out hot. It's basically keeping you comfortable by removing heat. We attach these tubings to the garment, and then underneath that we wear a heart monitor to measure heart rate. We also have looked at a CO2 sensor to monitor the amount of CO2 inside the suit because we're circulating oxygen inside the spacesuit, but we don't want a CO2 build up.

Motherboard: Any big upgrades to the spacesuit coming up?

We've looked into a lot of heads-up displays for the spacesuit. The difficulty there is, first of all, it has to work in 100 percent oxygen. Usually when you have electronics in 100 percent oxygen, you have to be very careful. There are safety issues there. The other thing is, there are some displays that are sort of like Google Glass or microvision, but if you mount anything on the head, you can't reach in there and adjust it. It has to be mounted on the spacesuit, outside in the vacuum of space, where it's exposed to really high and low temperature swings. The environment can be from minus 275 degrees Fahrenheit to plus 300 degrees. We are interested in technologies—some of them are inside the suit, some of them are outside—to provide the information astronauts need to monitor the suit. The status of their oxygen remaining, power remaining, their CO2 level—those are all things they have to monitor.

Motherboard: How do they receive that information now?

On their chest. You always see this module that's mounted on their chest called the Displays and Controls Module. If you look straight down at your chest, this module sticks out, maybe four, five inches above the chest outside of the spacesuit, and it has an LED display there. You press a button and it cycles through the different parameters. That's the aspects of the suit, but procedures or checklists could also be on the heads-up display. We actually have a laminated plastic checklist that's mounted on the wrist of the spacesuit. Many years ago we did look at an electronic checklist. We experimented with it on the space station, and we would've gone with that one, but at the time we used LCD, liquid crystal screens. We did some testing, but it got much colder than we expected and the crystal displays don't work very well in the cold, so the images started fading out.

Motherboard: Apparently fluid in the body shifts without gravity, so sometimes astronauts' limbs can become bloated?

Right, that's called a fluid shift. Our bodies have evolved for millions of years in one gravity. Gravity is always pulling you down and all of your fluids are fighting gravity, so when the heart pumps the blood out to the extremities, it doesn't have to pump back down because gravity is assisting it. When you get to zero G, you lose that. You don't have the evolutionary pull of gravity on you, so the fluids and your blood-flow re-distribute. Right now, when you're standing on Earth in one gravity, you have more fluids in your lower torso than your upper torso, so when you get to zero G, it [shifts]. The astronauts do get sort of puffy in their heads. Their bodies get a little bit less than their heads and torsos. It takes a little bit of adaptation to get them stabilized. Some are not so extreme, others are very, very puffy. We've heard the expression that they look like Charlie Brown. It's the Charlie Brown effect.

Motherboard: Is that something you guys have been trying to address?

For the spacesuit, [fluid shift is]critical. You have to have a very proper fit in the spacesuit for their arms and the gloves and the legs. Crew members actually grow, depending on their height on Earth, an inch or an inch and half. That is primarily in the spinal area because your spine is under compression under one G, so when you have zero gravity the spine stretches.

Motherboard: How quickly will they grow?

I think it's within the first few days that you start stretching. We take measurements to find out what's a comfortable fit for the spacesuit, then we'll add an inch or so to the height of their torsos anticipating this growth. It's not an issue with their daily wear because those are a little bit more adjustable. Your polo, if you get a little bit taller, is just not tucked in as much.

One more thing that also has a lot of applications in the future here on Earth: Outside the spacecraft, when you do a space walk, it's minus 275 degrees to 300 degrees. We have to provide insulation in the spacesuit for that. The current technology in the spacesuit for that is aluminized mylar with material between it in separate layers. That is called multi-layered insulation. It's the same as a thermos bottle, where you have a vacuum layer. There's nothing better than a vacuum layer in a thermos bottle because there's nothing to conduct the heat or the cold to the inner layer. In the spacesuit, we have that insulation that keeps the astronaut from getting the extreme heat or the extreme cold.

The problem is that insulation only works in a vacuum. It works on the moon because the moon doesn't have an atmosphere, but on Mars, where we have an atmosphere of carbon dioxide, that technology will not work, so we'll have to provide another insulation. We can use the technology you have right now in your parka, thinsulate or permaloc, but those are very bulky and very thick. So we have been doing some research into insulation for future spacesuits that would work in an atmosphere like Mars, and we're working with this company called Aspen Aerogels that makes a really neat material called aerogel that's a super insulation. It's the world's lightest solid material. You can get a cube of this in your hand and you can hold it, but you won't feel it because it's so light. We're looking at it as kind of a flexible insulation. If we can develop this material, it can theoretically replace two or three inches of current fibrous insulation of thinsulate or permaloc with maybe like a base of a quarter inch of this aerogel. So in the future you could have a parka that would be as thin as a windbreaker and it would provide you the same insulation.

Motherboard: Any other interesting projects?

Most of the exercise clothing is polyester, and a lot of our food containers are plastic. Right now, with trash, we're just throwing it all away. But we've looked at something called a heat melt compactor, like a trash compactor but it gets to a high temperature. You can separate your plastics from your other trash and put it into this compactor, melt the plastic and compress it into a hockey puck—maybe an inch or three-quarters of an inch thick, maybe six inches in diameter. Plastic happens to be a really good radiation shielding material, so we can make these thick bricks and line the space station's sleeping compartments with them to provide radiation shielding for the astronauts. If we can get some of these materials from clothing and reuse them, turn them into these pucks, then, instead of flying hundreds of pounds of radiation material, we can be using this trash for long-term missions, making our own radiation shielding from the plastics in the clothing.

The other thing is 3D printing. If we have this hockey puck of plastic, could we develop a system that would heat that and put it into another device that would extrude it into a fiber? 3D printers use a feedstock that almost looks like spool, that sort of texture. We had the idea of converting our discarded clothes and plastics and other things to develop a plastic that would provide the feedstock for a 3D printer. We're thinking—again, long-term—of designing clothing that, instead of throwing it away, we can do something with it. Can we convert it into radiation shielding? Can we convert it to feedstock for a 3D printer? Do other things with it? If not, we have the mentality that we've had on previous missions, that we have all these logistics and we throw them away and get new supplies. But for three-year missions, our whole mentality for recycling air and water and clothing and trash has to be different.
