UFO sites suggest that some UFO sightings – and just really weird clouds – might in fact be soaring, vast alien monsters which fly around hundreds of miles above the Earth.
Maniacs on YouTube are WAY ahead of them, of course – with videos such as this unsettling glimpse into a world of pure madness (below).
In a blog post which makes you feel as if you’ve just accidentally ingested a vast amount of LSD, UFO Mysteries Timessuggests that the creatures even may fall to earth in the form of ‘star jelly’.
The site says, ‘So-called atmospheric monsters have been with humanity for a very long time, in fact centuries! Descriptions range from vaporous, cloud-like beings to “air whales” and “air krakens” to translucent, floating jellyfish that dip in and out of clouds with no visible means of aerodynamic propulsion.’
Nigel Watson, author of the UFO Investigations Manual, says, ‘The idea that ET type sky creatures exist in our skies was put forward by Charles Fort who was a great collector of mysteries in the early part of the 20th Century. In his book Lo! He notes:
“Unknown, luminous things, or beings, have often been seen, sometimes close to this earth, and sometimes high in the sky. It may be that some of them were living things that occasionally come from somewhere else.”
‘Arthur Conan Doyle the creator of Sherlock Holmes even penned a story in 1913 called The Horror of the Heights that imagines semi-solid sky creatures gobbling up aviators. When the hero of the story goes up to get evidence of their existence he never comes back, all that remains is a blood stained notebook that ends with the words:
“Forty-three thousand feet. I shall never see earth again. They are beneath me, three of them. God help me; it is a dreadful death to die!”
‘Ufologist, Trevor Constable, pioneered the photography of UFOs using infrared film during the 1960s. He considered UFOs to be biological beings, which live in the sky. As they come closer to Earth, they become more visible and they can fire bolts of lightning to defend themselves. In his 1958 book They Live in the Sky he says these creatures are invisible to our eyes, but infrared film can capture images of them as they fly above us. Today, some ufologists have adapted video cameras to capture infrared images of UFOs.’

What exactly are UFOs?
We understand the definition as unidentified flying objects.
That definition does not mean that UFOs are vehicles from otherworldly civilizations.
They are, as their definition describes not identified and could, therefore, be the result of manmade technology.
Bear with me for a second and think about Nazi Germany and their extensive search for technology that would give them the upper hand in the war.
The technological capacity of Nazi Germany is something that has never been questioned.
However, not only did they have state-of-the-art battle tanks, rockets, and other sorts of weapons. According to a series of war documents, Hitler’s engineers even built flying saucers and strange aerial vehicles described as”light balls” that had the capacity to fly and follow allied fighters to deconcentrate them during the flight.
It’s not a mystery that the Nazi’s searched even the most remote places on Earth for devices, ancient manuscripts describing paranormal energies, and places that would help them in their ultimate goal: World domination.
Some declassified documents exist claiming that the Germans created airplanes shaped like a flying saucer and even incandescent flying spheres to disconcert allied pilots during the war.
Their ultimate goal was to create flying saucers. UFOs.
When speaking about the Nazis, their quest for paranormal technologies and Nazi UFO’s we encounter a lot of skepticism, so I want to be as though as possible when describing these mysterious crafts.
The Nazi UFO, fact or fiction?
“[Italian researcher] Renato Vesco argued that Germans had developed antigravity. The disc-shaped and tubular craft were built and tested near the end of the Second World War, which, he argued, was the proper explanation of foo fighters. These concepts, he maintained, were developed by the Americans and Soviets and led directly to flying saucers.”
The Nazi UFOs also referred to in German as Haunebu, Hauneburg-Geräte, or Reichsflugscheiben) are supposed advanced aircraft or spacecraft that were allegedly developed by Nazi Germany during World War II.
These technologies and super-crafts appear in a number of conspiracy theories. They usually appear in connection with esoteric Nazism, an ideology that involves Nazi recovery for supernatural or paranormal purposes.
Many authors have made a historic connection with Nazi Germany, their exploratory missions around the globe, and these fascinating UFOs.
Several authors maintain that Nazi Germany explored the territory of New Swabia in Antarctica, where it sent an expedition in 1938, and planned further excursions, and even created a secret base, where many Nazi leaders fled to, after the second world war.
Nazi Flying discs? Fact or fiction?
Nazi Germany investigated advanced propulsion technologies, including missile and powerful turbines developed by Viktor Schauberger.
Some UFO sightings during World War II, particularly those known as “foo fighters”, were considered enemy weapons. Allied forced though, on numerous occasions, that the so-called Foo Fighters were, in fact, Nazi secret weapons.
But all of this sounds like one massive conspiracy, without any solid evidence to back up ‘wild claims’.
Luckily there is one reference of a few scientists who admitted working on UFOs.
Written on March 24-25, 1950, the text detailing secretive technologies was published on the Italian daily “Il Giornale d’Italia”:
“…types of flying discs were designed and studied in Germany and Italy as early as 1942”.
Belluzzo also expressed the opinion that “some great power is launching discs to study them”.
Soon after Belluzzo wrote about advanced turbines, German scientist Rudolph Schriever admitted to having developed flying saucers during the Nazi period. In an interview with German news magazine Der Spiegel, Schriever claimed that he had designed a craft powered by a circular plane of rotating turbine blades 49 ft (15 m) in diameter.
During the 1950’s, a lot of different countries were into the whole Flying saucer thing, and apparently many countries wanted to develop their very own flying saucer.

In 1953, Avro Canada announced that it was developing the VZ-9-AV Avrocar, a circular jet aircraft which could reach a speed of 1,500 mph (2,400 km/h) Soon after the announcement by Avro Canada, German engineer Georg Klein claimed that such designs had been developed during the Nazi era.
Klein even went on and identified two types of supposed German flying disks:
A non-rotating disk developed at Breslauby V-2 rocket engineer Richard Miethe, which was eventually captured by the Soviets, while Miethe fled to the US via France, and ended up working for Avro.
A disk developed by Rudolf Schriever and Klaus Habermohl at Prague, which consisted of a ring of moving turbine blades around a fixed cockpit. Klein claimed that he had witnessed this craft’s first manned flight on 14 February 1945, when it managed to climb to 12,400 m (40,700 ft) in 3 minutes and attained a speed of 2,200 km/h (1,400 mph) in level flight.
“The “flying saucer” reached an altitude of 12,400 meters within 3 minutes and a speed of 2,200 kilometers per hour. Klein emphasized that in accordance with German plans, the speed of these “saucers” would reach 4,000 kilometers per hour. One difficulty, according to Klein, was the problem of obtaining the materials to be used for the construction of the “saucers,” but even this had been solved by German engineers toward the end of 1945, and construction on the objects was scheduled to begin, Klein added.
We cannot speak about flying saucers, mysterious spacecraft, and advanced technology without mentioning Hermann Oberth, the founding father of rocketry and astronautics. Oberth said:
“It is my thesis that flying saucers are real and that they are space ships from another solar system. I think that they possibly are manned by intelligent observers who are members of a race that may have been investigating our Earth for centuries.”
When the Juno spacecraft recently flew over the poles of Jupiter, researchers were astonished. This 5-minute video from NASA explores the latest discoveries.
NASA’s Juno mission launched on August 5, 2011, traveled 1.74 billion miles (2.8 billion km) and entered Jupiter’s orbit on July 4, 2016.

Juno’s mission is to measure Jupiter’s composition, gravity field, magnetic field, and polar magnetosphere. It’s also searching for clues about how the planet formed, including whether it has a rocky core; how much water there is within the deep atmosphere; and Jupiter’s deep winds, which can reach speeds up to 384 miles per hour (618 km per hour).

A cloudless exoplanet has become a benchmark for astronomers to gauge sodium content in alien worlds.

An international team of astronomers, led by researchers from the University of Exter, has uncovered one far-off world that will help us better understand the chemical make-up of planets beyond our solar system. Dubbed WASP-96b, this ‘hot Saturn’ planet is completely devoid of clouds — making it an ideal subject for astronomers trying to determine its atmospheric composition.
Peering through the 8.2-meter lens of ESO’s aptly named Very Large Telescope in Chile, the team observed WASP-96b as it was transiting in front of its host star. This method of study is the bread and butter of astronomers studying far-off planets. By measuring the dip in starlight incoming to Earth while this transit takes places, they can determine the planet’s size. By looking at its spectral emissions — carried to us by the photons passing through the atmosphere — they can gauge the chemical make-up of the planet’s gaseous cover.
Spectral emissions are like fingerprints for atoms since each element and isotope has its own signature — a characteristic astronomers are more than happy to exploit when pointing their instruments at far-off celestial objects. WASP-96b’s spectrum showed the complete signature of sodium, the team writes, which is only observable in atmospheres completely devoid of clouds.
Reflections so dium you can see everything!
Just like an individual’s fingerprints are unique, atoms and molecules have a unique spectral characteristic that can be used to detect their presence in celestial objects. The spectrum of WASP-96b shows the complete fingerprint of sodium, which can only be observed for an atmosphere free of clouds. The finding is especially exciting for astronomers, who have long suspected that hot, gas-giant exoplanets harbor sodium — but have never actually had any proof to back their suspicion.
On first glance, WASP-96b doesn’t seem very special. It’s a gas giant, very similar to Saturnin mass, but about 20% larger than Jupiter, set to a simmery 1300°K (~1027°C or 1900°F). It’s about 980 light-years away from Earth, in the Phoenix constellation, and orbits a pretty-much sun-like star. Here is a visualization of it transiting in front of its host, put together by co-author Ernst de Mooij:
Spectral emissions recorded while WASP-96b transited in front of its host star, however, made the planet’s uniqueness apparent. Based on the sodium signature observable in these records, the team found that the planet’s atmosphere is completely free of clouds. This allowed the team to measure how abundant sodium is in the atmosphere. The researchers report finding levels similar to those seen in our own Solar System.
“We’ve been looking at more than twenty exoplanet transit spectra,” said Nikolay Nikolov, paper lead author. “Until now, sodium was revealed either as a very narrow peak or found to be completely missing. This is because the characteristic ‘tent-shaped’ profile can only be produced deep in the atmosphere of the planet and for most planet clouds appear to get in the way”.
That ‘tent-shaped’ bit he mentions refers to one of the two ways emission spectra are most often represented in charts: constituted of one wiggly horizontal line (that indicates a baseline value, i.e. no emission in that segment of the spectrum), dotted here and there with ‘peaks’ or ‘spikes’ (these indicate a higher value, i.e. registerable emission in that segment of the spectrum). A ‘tent-shaped’ spike on the profile indicates strong emission in one particular wavelength interval — based on which researchers can gauge the presence of particular elements.
The presence of clouds, hazes, mists, or similar phenomena in an atmosphere has the ability to block and reflect incoming light, altering its spectral output. Sodium’s emission is especially affected, as Nikolov explains, because its profile is produced in the lower layers of the atmosphere (i.e. below clouds, hazes, or mists).
So far, WASP-96b is the only exoplanet to we’ve found with a clear sodium signature, making it ideal as a benchmark for the presence of this element in other worlds of its kind.
“WASP-96b will also provide us with a unique opportunity to determine the abundances of other molecules, such as water, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide with future observations,” adds co-author Ernst de Mooij.
Sodium is the seventh-most abundant element in the Universe, and vital to life as we know it. Organisms on Earth depend on sodium (in the form of table salt) for survival, and is widely used in industry. Knowing how to find it on other worlds from afar would thus be a great skill to have — both when looking for alien life or a nice place to settle.
The paper “An absolute sodium abundance for a cloud-free ‘hot Saturn’ exoplanet” has been published in the journal Nature.

The declassified Ministry Of Defence (MOD) study into a string of UK sightings concluded it is “indisputable" they exist and said they had the ability to "hover, land, take-off, accelerate to exceptional velocities, alter their direction of travel, and vanish”.
In a bid to shake off the obvious link between the term UFO and aliens, MoD investigators labelled them "unidentified aerial phenomena" (UAP) instead.
But the conclusive findings, that something unexplained is manoeuvring in our skies, remained the same.
Named Project Condign, the major study began from the UK’s Defence Intelligence Staff (DIS) in 1996, but was not published until 2000.
However, there was then a Freedom of Information Act battle of several years before it was made public.
The official aim of the study was to establish if UAPs posed any threat to national security - and if if any science or technology found to be behind them, if that were the case, could be reverse engineered for military means.
Once released, and passed to the National Archives, the author of the report was never identified.

In the executive summary, the person wrote: "That UAP exist is indisputable.
"Credited with the ability to hover, land, take-off, accelerate to exceptional velocities and vanish, they can reportedly alter their direction of flight suddenly and clearly can exhibit aerodynamic characteristics well beyond those of any known aircraft or missile – either manned or unmanned.”
But the report stopped well short of making the jump that these could be alien crafts.
It continued: “No evidence exists to suggest that the phenomena are hostile or under any type of control, other than that of natural forces.
“There is no evidence that any UAP, seen in the UK Air Defence Region, are incursions by air-objects of any intelligent (extra-terrestrial or foreign) origin, or that they represent any hostile intent.”

MoD report
It actually concluded most sightings were the result of misinterpreted natural phenomena happening on Earth.
The report actually found most UAPs were either man-made vehicles with unfamiliar or abnormal features or natural, but not unusual, phenomena which has been "misunderstood by the observer" or "natural and rare phenomena”.
Some of the natural events deemed responsible were:
*Buoyant plasmas: Formed when a meteor does not fully burn up during entry to the atmosphere and remains visible to the naked eye and/or radar
*Loose plasma objects: These can create a physical field, from which light will not reflect, sometimes making them appear as "black triangular crafts" of up to hundreds of feet long - a very commonly described UFO sighting
*Plasmas affecting vehicles: Sometimes the presence of such plasmas can even cause car engines and radios to malfunction if nearby.
UFO expert Nick Pope, who investigated the phenomena for the MoD in the 1990s, said the department adopted the name UAP to ‘avoid the pop baggage’ of UFO.
He said the report, which was released 10 years ago this week, revealed the MOD’s interest in the UFO mystery was actually at odds with the department's official stance.
He said: “I think the most fascinating thing about Project Condign is this – for decades the MoD told Parliament, the media and the public that UFOs were of no defence significance and of very limited interest.
“Project Condign was a highly classified intelligence assessment of the UFO phenomenon which recommended that further study be made of aspects of the mystery that might result in ‘novel military applications’, so it’s clear that Parliament was misled.”

Genetic editing is like playing God.
A team of scientists from the University of Maastricht has developed an embryo using stem cells different from sperm and ovules and has managed to successfully transfer it to the uterus of mice. Researchers detail their study in a paper published in the journal Nature.
The researchers have managed to successfully go through the entire process for the first time ever, and hope that this work will help understand how the placenta is formed and how the embryo is implanted in the lining of the uterus.
When they are transferred in utero, the cell spheres, obtained from two types of rodent stem cell, activate adaptation mechanisms similar to those observed during implantation in the uterine wall.
While these early embryonic structures did not evolve to the state of mature embryos, they served as a model to study the development of the embryo at its inception, a stage still little understood in science.
A few days after fertilization, the mammalian ovule normally develops in a blastocyst, which corresponds to the embryo in the early stages of its development.

It becomes a spherical structure composed of a layer of outer cells (the future placenta) that surrounds a cavity filled with fluid that contains a mass of embryonic cells.
The failure of the development of the embryo would be due to the absence of a third type of cell “that has an essential role in the structuring the embryo and is poorly produced by embryonic stem cells,” says Professor Robin Lovell-Badge.
Obtaining comparable results with human cells remains a great challenge for researchers who would like to create human embryos in this way.
However, this raises a number of ethical questions, raising doubts whether we, as a society, should venture out into the unknown.
It is also noteworthy to mention that mice and humans are very different, and this raises a number of questions like; Would a human uterus respond in the same way to these blastoids?
That’s an answer scientists are still looking for. Despite this, the discoveries it yields could potentially lead to great medical improvements.
Cloning Human Beings
Professor Nicholas Rivron of the University of Maastricht, leader of the research group, thinks that a developed embryo could be created in just three more years, however, a human embryo will take decades of tests.
“For the first time, we can study these phenomena in great detail and run drug screens to find medicines that could prevent infertility, find better contraceptives, or limit the appearance of epigenetic marks that appear in the blastocyst and lead to diseases during adult life,” Rivron told Research Gate.
“Embryos are very precious, but it is impossible to use them to detect drugs that could help with fertility without enough of them. With artificial blastocysts we can expand the numbers and eventually come to understand why some embryos are not implanted, “explains Rivron.
“I do not believe in the use of blastocysts for human reproduction. It would be to clone someone who is already alive. It is ethically very questionable, ” added Professor Rivron speaking to Mail Online.
Professor Robin Lovell-Badge of the Francis Crick Institute in London said that while development can be considered a breakthrough in science, it is a relief that cannot yet be used to create, for example, a batch of genetically identical humans. “It would even be illegal – at least in the United Kingdom – to implant embryos in a woman,” he concluded.

Scientists Find Evidence Our Moon Has Water Below Its Surface
Another unprecedented discovery has been made by scientists. According to a new study published in science advanced, experts say that in the past liquid water existed on the surface of the moon, and it exists now beneath the surface.
And while scientists didn’t go to the moon to make the discovery, they turned to a lunar meteorite that was discovered in Africa some 13 years ago.
As it turns out, this lunar meteorite contains a mineral that can ONLY form in the presence of water, meaning that there’s probably abundant water beneath the surface of the moon.
The study published in Science Advances explains how researchers uncovered traces of moganite in the lunar meteorite.

The discovery was made by a team of Japanese scientists led by Masahiro Kayama from the Department of Earth and Planetary Materials Science at Tohoku University.
“In a moganite, there is less water, because of moganite forms from the evaporation of water. That’s the case on the surface of the moon. But in the subsurface, much water remains as ice, because it’s protected from the sunlight.”
As they have explained, moganite forms in the presence of water, which indicates there could be abundant reservoirs of water on the moon’s surface.
Itz is noteworthy to mention that the lunar meteorite, dubbed NWA2727 is the only lunar meteorite in which moganite was found by the researchers.
As for the water on the moon, astronomers argue that it may have been ‘transported0 to the moon through asteroids and comets through billions of years of impacts.
Experts note that during this period, liquid water most likely existed on the lunar surface. Eventually, it became trapped after being soaked into the surface of the moon where it cooled down. Then, another asteroid or comet impacted the moon, sending water-soaked rocks into space, and Earth.
Scientists say that the moganite did not originate on Earth because of terrestrial weathering.
Furthermore, the meteorite was discovered in Africa, in a desert which lacks water.
Now, in order to understand exactly how much water there is beneath the lunar surface, future moon missions need to be launched.
In an interview with Gizmodo, lunar geologist Noah Petro says that lunar rock samples brought back to Earth by the Apollo missions should be studied using new techniques to look for the presence of moganite.
Petro says that the discovery of moganite on the lunar meteorite shows that scientists still have a limited understanding about the surface of the moon.
In the past, lunar missions found evidence of water on the moon.
The Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite detected water in a shadowed crater near the moon’s south pole.
And India’s probe Chandrayaan-1 found evidence of water in the moon’s thin atmosphere.
However, Kayama argues that there’s still no evidence of water in the subsurface at mid and lower latitudes.

The results of a recent study performed on the Shigir Idol—considered the OLDEST monumental art in history—and published in the scientific journal Antiquity has determined that this incredible ancient statue was carved around 11,600 years ago, by the survivors of the last Ice Age.
This makes this enigmatic idol twice as old as Egypt’s pyramids — and 6000 years older than Stonehenge.
When it was crafted, nearly twelve thousand years ago, the enigmatic Shigir Idol is believed to have stood 16 feet tall and was covered in countless ancient symbols.
Many experts around the world refer to it as the oldest piece on monumental art, and it was crafted by a mysterious people who survived the last ice age, some 12,000 years ago.
The idol was crafted from a single trunk of Larchwood and was carved into a smooth plank. Covered with intricately engraved patterns, the Shigir idol was topped with a stylized, human-like head.

The enigmatic idol was discovered in Russia in 1894 in Russia and survived a number of natural disasters including several fires.
It’s actually a miracle it was found.
Experts referred to the idol as the oldest evidence of monumental art, but experts weren’t one hundred percent sure as to exactly how old it was.
According to scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences and the University of Göttingen, a new analysis calculated that the idol is around 11,600 years ago.
What does this mean? Well, the last Ice Age ended some 11,700 years ago, which means that it was most likely crafted by people who survived the last ice age.
“Recent application of new analytical techniques has led to the discovery of new imagery on its surface and has pushed the date of the piece back to the earliest Holocene. The results of these recent analyses are placed here in the context of local and extra-local traditions of comparable prehistoric art. This discussion highlights the unique nature of the find and its significance for appreciating the complex symbolic world of Early Holocene hunter-gatherers.”
“We have to conclude hunter-gatherers had complex ritual and expression of ideas. Ritual doesn’t start with farming, but with hunter-gatherers,” Thomas Terberger said, via Science magazine, an archaeologist at the University of Göttingen in Germany and a co-author of the study.
It was reported initially that the first radiocarbon tests of the Shigir Idol revealed it was around 9,800 years old. This age caused quite a debate in the scientific community because experts refused to acknowledge that ‘hunter-gatherers’ at that time were able to create such a complex piece of art.
But the more experts dig into the matter, to more mysterious and fascinating it gets.
“The further you go inside, the older [the date] becomes—it’s very indicative some sort of preservative or glue was used” Olaf Jöris, an archaeologist at the Monrepos Archaeological Research Centre and Museum for Human Behavioural Evolution—who wasn’t involved with the study—told Science magazine.
The statue is evidence that “Early Holocene hunter-gatherers clearly inhabited a symbolic world with richer and more complex forms of artistic expression than was previously believed,” the study’s authors wrote.

Recently, people took on Reddit to discuss 18 peculiar satellite images obtained from Google Maps.
People rushed to the topic asking what on Earth the mysterious alien-looking marks represent in the middle of China.
The images kick-started a hot debate, and several users wondered whether the Chinese Government, together with other world powers could be communicating with extraterrestrial entities, or even making use of technology not from Earth.

Search for alien life has gained pace in recent times and space agencies are working hard to find the proof of extraterrestrial life. Meanwhile, a team of scientists from the Plymouth University believes that we should take help of artificial intelligence to find the alien life. According to researchers, artificial intelligence has witnessed rapid developments and it can help us in predicting the probability of life on other planets.
For the study, scientists have harnessed the power of artificial intelligence and artificial neural networks (ANNs) to classify planets into five types, based on the likelihood of supporting extraterrestrial life. Based on these groups, scientists will further conduct interstellar missions to find the alien life.
Lead study author Mr Christopher Bishop explains that planets in all the five groups have an atmosphere and possibility of life. Some planets are very similar to present day earth and are present in Goldilocks zone while some are more like Mars and Venus.
Mr Bishop comments, “We’re currently interested in these ANNs for prioritising exploration for a hypothetical, intelligent, interstellar spacecraft scanning an exoplanet system at range.”
He adds, “We’re also looking at the use of large area, deployable, planar Fresnel antennas to get data back to Earth from an interstellar probe at large distances. This would be needed if the technology is used in robotic spacecraft in the future.”

A mysterious human ancestor existed in the Philippines some 700,000 years ago, and used relatively advanced tools to butcher rhinos, experts have found.
The discovery of a new set of tools and other pieces of evidence has revealed that ancient human relatives lived in parts of South East Asia hundreds of thousands of years earlier than experts believed possible.
Researchers uncovered traces of more than 50 stone tools and a nearly complete rhino skeleton bearing clear marks of having been butchered in the distant past.
According to experts, the rhinoceros skeleton dates back 709,000 years.

The discovery comes as a surprise as previously, the earliest evidence of human habitation in the region—to the north of Luzon Island—had been a small foot bone found in a cave, dating back around 70,000 years.
Finding evidence of human occupation 700,000 years ago is a history-changer.
The tools discovered by experts consist of 49 sharp-edged stone flakes, six cores, and two pieces which are believed to be hammer stones.
Furthermore, scientists also discovered a number of skeletons at the site, including that of a Stegodon, brown deer, freshwater turtle, and monitor lizard.
However, the rhino skeleton was the most interesting.
Experts say that many of the rhino’s bones had clear traces of cuts consistent with butchering, and various bones had marks as if they were hit with a hammerstone.
This is very interesting.
However, even or fascinating is the fact that experts say that humans didn’t make the tools—and no, they weren’t made by aliens either.

So if it wasn’t humans, who created the tools?
Scientists say that a close human ancestor crafted the tools, and the fact that they existed in the Philippines some 700,000 years ago means that we need to reconsider how and when humans and other hominins spread through the vast territories of South East Asia.
As noted by archaeologists Gerrit van den Bergh from the University of Wollongong in Australia, these mysterious hominins most likely spread across the area in a number of different migratory waves throughout various millennia.
Van den Bergh also believes that these mystery humans most likely traveled from north to south, from China and Taiwan, and not from West to East, from Borneo or Palawan through Indonesia, using ocean currents and settling as they went.

Interestingly, van den Bergh believes that this curious migration may have taken human ancestors on the Indonesian Island of Flores, giving rise to the mysterious Homo floresiensis species, akathe “Hobbit,” because of their relatively small stature.
Previously experts have found traces of ancient humans dating back 700,000 years on the Indonesian island of Java. Furthermore, Homo floresiensis ancestors have been found on Flores from around the same time.
Previous theories proposed by experts suggested that early hominids did not have the ability to craft boats, meaning that they could not have traveled by water in order to reach Luzon and the other islands separated from the mainland by deep oceans.
However, discoveries are changing what we thought about early humans and their capabilities.
“If you look at the fossil and recent faunas you see that there is an impoverishment as you go from north to south. On Luzon, you find fossils of stegodons, elephants, giant rats, rhino, deer, large reptiles and a type of water buffalo.
“On Sulawesi, the fossil fauna is already impoverished; there’s no evidence of rhinos or deer ever entering there. Then on Flores, you only had stegodons, Komodo dragons, humans and giant rats, that’s all,”van den Bergh said.
“If animals did reach these islands by chance, by entering the sea and following the currents south, then you would expect the further south you go the fewer species you would find – and that’s what we see.”
Who exactly these hominins were, remains a profound mystery, and we will probably never know unless we discover remains of the species in order to study them.
Some experts hint, they may have been the mysterious Denisovans.
“There’s a lot of focus again in the islands of South East Asia because they are places where you find natural experiments in hominin evolution. That’s what makes Flores unique, and now Luzon is another place we can start looking for fossil evidence,” van den Bergh said.

De planeet zou 10.000 tot 20.000 jaar nodig hebben voor een rondje om de zon.
“Het is fantastisch om duizend jaar oude gegevens te gebruiken om een nieuwe theorie te kunnen onderzoeken,” zei dr. Pedro Lacerda. “Dit is voor mij één van de meest fascinerende aspecten van ons project.”
“Elke sterke aanwijzing dat een ‘Planeet Negen’ nodig is om de waarnemingen van kometen in de middeleeuwen te kunnen verklaren, zal zeker een grote impact hebben op onze kijk op het zonnestelsel,” voegde hij toe.

Onderzoek door een team Italiaanse archeologen heeft uitgewezen dat er geen verborgen kamers bestaan in het graf van Toetanchamon. Dat heeft de Egyptische minister van Oudheden vandaag meegedeeld.
“Onderzoek met scanners en detectoren binnenin het graf hebben aangetoond dat er geen kamers of sporen van deurkaders of drempels aanwezig zijn”, zei Mostafa Waziri in een communiqué van het ministerie van Oudheden. De nieuwe bevindingen spreken de theorie tegen over het bestaan van gangen of kamers naast of in het graf van Toetanchamon, klinkt het.
De Britse egyptoloog Nicholas Reeves had eerder gezegd dat een gedetailleerd onderzoek van foto’s en scans van de noordelijke grafmuur suggereerde dat er een verborgen opening was die naar een andere kamer leidde. Reeves vermoedde dat in de verborgen kamer het graf van Nefertiti, de vrouw van Toetanchamons vader farao Achnaton, zou bevatten.

Toetanchamon was een van de laatste farao’s van de 18e dynastie van Oud Egypte. Hij stierf op 19-jarige leeftijd onder mysterieuze omstandigheden. Zijn graf, dat in 1922 werd ontdekt, was omwille van zijn rijkelijke inhoud een unieke vondst onder de faraonische graven in de Vallei van de Koningen in Luxor. An interesting declassified document ‘Commercial applications research for Extraterrestrial Technology from Palo Alto, CA Research Facility’ which you can get on CIA website from a FOIA request (Filthstep Productions International, Apr 8, 2018) shows extremely detailed images of alien artifacts, anti-gravity generators, self-running, self-executed computer programs.

Some key subjects, all of which were based on artifacts of extraterrestrial origin obtained from crash site recovery operations conducted during the last two decades are:

Three-dimensional image recorder/projector.

Ongeacht welk vreemd verschijnsel zich voordoet op aarde, binnen de kortste keren hebben de mainstream media er een verklaring voor en iedereen is weer gerust gesteld.

Maar, dat is het niet. Al die vreemde en bizarre verschijnselen in de lucht waar wij de afgelopen jaren over hebben geschreven zijn alles behalve normaal.
Het is niet alleen op aarde, maar door het gehele zonnestelsel dat er dingen gebeuren met andere planeten die erop wijzen dat er grote ongeziene krachten aan het werk zijn.
Ook de zon gedraagt zich vreemd en afwijkend zoals we enkele dagen geleden hebben kunnen zien en vertoont op dit moment geen enkele activiteit op het gebied van zonnevlekken, hoewel dit volgens de computermodellen wel degelijk het geval had moeten zijn.
Hoelang zal de mensheid nog kunnen blijven ontkennen dat er “iets” uit de ruimte op ons af komt en dat dit hetgeen is dat verantwoordelijk is voor de steeds heftiger wordende aardveranderingen.?
Zoals wij regelmatig schrijven, zijn er steeds meer mensen die objecten waarnemen en/of vastleggen in de buurt van onze zon.

En nooit of te nimmer, waar dan ook in de mainstream media, wordt er een verband gelegd tussen de fenomenale hoeveelheden vreemde en ongewone dingen die op onze planeet plaatsvinden. Keer op keer opnieuw wordt iedere gebeurtenis als een afzonderlijke gezien en worden mensen met een kluitje het riet in gestuurd.
En dat is wat dat de mensheid uiteindelijk zal opbreken omdat ze totaal onvoorbereid zijn op de dingen die gaan komen.

1. A west coast kind of launch.
This Saturday (May 5), NASA's InSight lander became the first interplanetary mission to launch from the west coast of the United States. Also known as the Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport lander, this mission to Mars is designed to study the planet's tectonic activity. InSight is scheduled to arrive at the Red Planet in November.
Saturn, Venus, Jupiter and Mars are visible now and all you need is a curious disposition. The ringed planet shines in the late evening skies, followed by Mars. After sunset, watch out for shiny Venus. Jupiter is visible all night this month, too.

While some international treaties include laws about the use of force in outer space, they are unclear and provide little regulation. Legal experts are now developing a manual detailing how laws on Earth could be applicable to contentious scenarios where surveillance and communications satellites, for example, become attractive targets in potential warfare of the future.
The GRACE spacecraft operated well beyond its planned five-year mission, and its successor, GRACE-FO, launches in a few weeks. Both mission are joint projects of NASA and the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences in Potsdam, Germany, and were designed to study how melting polar ice affects sea levels. GRACE-FO, also known as the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment Follow-On, will map changes in water and ice by detecting differences in Earth's gravity.

Jupiter gives off radiation, and scientists recently used data from the Galileo spacecraft to do a fresh take of how plasma moves between the moon and the gas giant, a phenomenon which causes bright auroras at Ganymede's polar caps. Scientists also want to use this data to learn more about the existence of subsurface oceans on Ganymede.
Private spaceflight company Blue Origin recently launched its New Shepard 2.0 passenger vehicle on a test flight over the skies of West Texas. The April 29 launch marked the second successful flight of the company's New Shepard program, and this trip carried a dummy and a few NASA science experiments onboard.
Researchers recently spotted helium in the atmosphere of a scorching planet around a distant star. This is the first time the element has been observed around an exoplanet, and although early models predicted that helium should be among the most easily detectable elements in their atmospheres, it has remained unseen until now.
The heat shield for NASA's Mars 2020 rover mission cracked during a weeklong test, according to the space agency. The damage occurred to the shield's outer edge, as the tests produced forces about 20 percent greater than what it would experience as the mission enters Mars' atmosphere. Fortunately, this incident won't seem to cause a launch date delay.
The Cotton Sustainability Challenge short-listed three new projects to operate on the International Space Station, with a goal of generating solutions for cotton production's high environmental cost. The Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) announced the projects on Tuesday (April 24), which feature techniques like sequencing the genetic expression of cotton cultivars grown in the absence of gravity.

It was 1997, the 50th anniversary of the suspected flying saucer crash at Roswell in New Mexico, and the heyday of the paranormal mystery series The X-Files. The English-speaking world was gripped by UFO-mania. But what seemed a delightful mystery to some was becoming a headache for the spooks at Britain’s Defence Intelligence Staff.
Analysts at the DI55 office, the department lumbered with the UFO brief, were being peppered with requests from ufologists – and even parliamentary questions – for information on flying saucers, taking up time they felt would be better spent on terrestrial defence matters. So top brass decided to undertake a definitive study of the unit’s collection of reported UFO sightings to establish, once and for all, whether there was anything in them.
Previously unseen documents reveal that, far from being an objective study into the possibility of extraterrestrial visitors, the report was intended from the start to absolve the Ministry of Defence of responsibility for investigating sightings. Messages between officials at DIS and the contractor carrying out the research show that it focused from the outset only “on the possible threat to the UK [from hostile foreign powers] and technology acquisition” and not “X-Files activities such as alien abductions”. A separate memo says: “It shouldn’t be driven by a UFO thesis.”
The study replaced one mystery with another after its author determined that the UFO sightings were a result of unexplained plasma formations in the atmosphere. Nevertheless, DI55 announced afterwards that it would no longer accept UFO reports.
The documents show the deliberations behind the research, which began in 1997 and collated the previous decade’s worth of UFO sightings – known in the technical jargon of DIS as unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) – in a database. The identities of all the officers involved in the conversation, which lasted several years, are redacted. Many other excerpts are blacked out, with exemptions cited including risks to national security and international relations.
“The increasing media attention given to this subject in recent months has almost doubled the work of the desk officers involved to the detriment of other tasks more directly relevant to the work of the branch,” one memo says, adding that it was now time to “reappraise the situation” and clarify DIS’s role in the issue.
Officials complain about the cost in time and money of investigating sightings and responding to questions. “The problem is unlikely to subside, especially as the US brings into service over the next decade high flying capabilities such as Global Star, Dark Star, the X-33 and, should it come to fruition, the manned spaceplane,” writes one senior officer. “Other nations will follow, especially with UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles], which may permit risk-taking in unauthorised penetrations of airspace.”
Other correspondents remained open-minded, with one arguing that in the absence of analysis “we can not discount the possibility that UAPs are real” or that they could be natural phenomena but with “possible military applications”. “It could be argued that UAPs pose a potential threat to the defence of the realm since we have no idea what they are,” the writer continues.
It emerges that the analyst commissioned to write the report had a personal interest in the subject. Pointing out that the same UFO questionnaire had been in use since the 1950s, he notes: “I filled one in myself after a sortie when flying in the RAF at the time.” The author adds that he wishes to keep a low profile for fear that the media “would undoubtedly link [this work] with my other known activities on SDI [strategic defence initiative, better known as the Star Wars project], BM [ballistic missile] defence etc.”
What becomes clear from the files is a fear among officials of further inciting UFO-mania. “We need to be very careful about expanding ‘UFO’ business and thereby sending the public a misleading message about the extent of the MoD’s interest,” says one memo.
Another says: “Keep the classification low – I suggest restricted – in order not to put it in the public domain but at the same time prevent the criticism that MoD is hiding something under the cloak of secrecy.”
The report was completed in 2000 and duly discounted the possibility of alien spaceships over the UK, giving DI55 the grounds it needed to no longer accept reports of sightings. But what DIS did next could only fuel the imagination of conspiracy theorists. It destroyed the files on which the report was based, and even the database in which they had collated for analysis.
David Clarke, a research fellow and lecturer in journalism at Sheffield Hallam University and a specialist in modern folklore, obtained the files from the MoD after a freedom of information battle. “They always say that the public gets the wrong idea about UFOs, but they’ve actually encouraged that themselves by destroying the files. They’ve actually encouraged conspiracy theorists through their own paranoia,” he said.
The MoD does not officially respond to queries relating to UFOs. It closed its UFO desk in 2009 after it was decided it served no defence purpose and that it took staff away from more valuable defence-related activities.
NASA's InSight Mars lander is a stationary probe designed to study the interior of the Red Planet. It will be a stationary mission, not like NASA's famous Opportunity, Spirit and Curiosity rovers,. Staying in place is necessary for its major science goals, which include learning more about the Martian composition, and how tectonically active Mars is. The mission will also be notable for its CubeSats, which will be the first time such tiny spacecraft fly beyond Earth.
InSight launched toward Mars on May 5, 2018, from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, on an Atlas V vehicle from United Launch Alliance. If successful, the mission will land on Nov. 26, 2018, at the Martian Elysium Planitia, an equatorial zone just south of an ancient volcanic area. InSight will send back data about the Red Planet's interior for about 1 Mars year, or 728 Earth-days (a little more than two Earth years). You can see launch photos here.

InSight is short for a rather lengthy name: Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport. The mission has a total cost of $814 million, NASA officials have said.
Brief development history
InSight was one of 28 submissions for NASA's next Discovery-class mission in 2010. This type of mission is a lower-cost explorer of the solar system. During InSight's selection round, individual proposals weren't allowed to exceed $425 million, excluding the cost of the launch vehicle.
InSight – then known as the Geophysical Monitoring Station (GEMS) – and two other finalists (Titan Mare Explorer and Comet Hopper) each received $3 million in May 2011 to perform a concept study. InSight was tapped in August 2012 for the next launch. Construction began on InSight in May 2014. Its manufacturer is Lockheed Martin Space Systems.
In December 2015, NASA announced it could not launch as planned in March 2016 because of a leak in one of the craft's instruments, the Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS). At the time, agency officials said the mission might be removed entirely from the launch manifest. One limitation the agency cited was concern about exceeding the $675 million cost of the mission that included launch, data analyses and scientific operations. (At the time, they had spent $525 million.)
By the following fall, in September 2016, NASA announced a revised launch date for InSight. The announced delay to spring 2018 was no large surprise to the community, because the orbits of Mars and Earth only align favorably for a spacecraft flight every 26 months; outside of that window, it takes too much fuel to easily get to the Red Planet.
"The instrument redesign and two-year delay add $153.8 million" to the $675 million mission cost, NASA said in a statement. "The additional cost will not delay or cancel any current missions, though there may be fewer opportunities for new missions in future years, from fiscal years 2017-2020," it added.
InSight's landing zone is a flat stretch of the western Elysium Planitia, near the Martian equator.

Science goals and instruments
InSight has two major science goals, according to NASA. The first is to examine the interior — what it is made of, and what processes occur. The lander will provide information on the size and composition of the Martian core, crust and mantle. It also will show "how warm the interior is and how much heat is still flowing through," NASA said. The second goal is to learn if Mars is tectonically active (including where seismic activity is located), and how frequently meteorites slam into its surface.
"Previous missions to the Red Planet have investigated its surface by studying its canyons, volcanoes, rocks and soil. But the signatures of the planet's formation can only be found by sensing and studying its vital signs far below the surface," NASA said.
InSight has three instruments that are designed to look at the deep interior of Mars and learn about the planet's geological activity, warmth and elements of its evolution, according to NASA.
The Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS) will detect seismic waves from meteorite impacts, magma movements inside the planet, or marsquakes.
The Heat Flow and Physical Properties Probe, or HP3, will burrow about 5 meters (16 feet) into the surface. Its main job is to sense heat underground.
The Rotation and Interior Structure Experiment, or RISE, will aim to provide more information about the composition of the Martian core. It will keep careful track of where the lander is located, and from that information, discern any wobbles in the orbit of Mars as the planet orbits the sun. The composition of the core will influence the degree and type of oscillation Mars experiences.
InSight has a robotic arm that is more than 7 feet (2.4 m) long. This arm will place the seismometer and heat-flow probe on the surface for their measurements. The arm also features a camera that will take "color 3D views of the landing site, instrument placement, and activities," according to NASA. In addition, InSight has sensors to provide information on the weather, and any changes in the local magnetic field nearby the lander.
Riding along with InSight will be the first cubesats to fly beyond Earth. The experiment, which encompasses two spacecraft, is called Mars Cube One. The cubesats will fly behind InSight during its journey to Mars. NASA has named the cubesats "Wall-E" and "Eva" because they use fire extinguisher fluid as thruster propellant, just like the animated robot in Disney's "Wall-E" movie.
If successful, once InSight begins its entry into the Martian atmosphere, the cubesats will send information back to Earth about the spacecraft's last few minutes flying to the Red Planet's surface.
