NASA Opens International Space Station to New Commercial Opportunities, Private Astronauts

NASA is opening the International Space Station for commercial business so U.S. industry innovation and ingenuity can accelerate a thriving commercial economy in low-Earth orbit.

This move comes as NASA focuses full speed ahead on its goal of landing the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024, where American companies also will play an essential role in establishing a sustainable presence.

NASA officials, including the agency’s Chief Financial Officer Jeff DeWit, will discuss details of the five-part near-term plan in a news conference at 10 a.m. EDT today. The news conference will air live on NASA Television and the agency’s website.

NASA will continue research and testing in low-Earth orbit to inform its lunar exploration plans, while also working with the private sector to test technologies, train astronauts and strengthen the burgeoning space economy. Providing expanded opportunities at the International Space Station to manufacture, market and promote commercial products and services will help catalyze and expand space exploration markets for many businesses.

The agency’s ultimate goal in low-Earth orbit is to partner with industry to achieve a strong ecosystem in which NASA is one of many customers purchasing services and capabilities at lower cost.

NASA’s plan addresses both the supply-side and demand-side for a new economy, enabling use of government resources for commercial activities, creating the opportunity for private astronaut missions to the space station, enabling commercial destinations in low-Earth orbit, identifying and pursuing activities that foster new and emerging markets, and quantifying NASA’s long-term demand for activities in low-Earth orbit.

Commercial Activities Aboard the Space Station

More than 50 companies already are conducting commercial research and development on the space station via the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory, and their results are yielding great promise. In addition, NASA has worked with 11 different companies to install 14 commercial facilities on the station that support research and development projects for NASA and the ISS National Lab.

This effort is intended to broaden the scope of commercial activity on the space station beyond the ISS National Lab mandate, which is limited to research and development. A new NASA directive will enable commercial manufacturing and production and allow both NASA and private astronauts to conduct new commercial activities aboard the orbiting laboratory. The directive also sets prices for industry use of U.S. government resources on the space station for commercial and marketing activities.

Pricing released Friday is specific to commercial and marketing activities enabled by the new directive, reflects a representative cost to NASA, and is designed to encourage the emergence of new markets. As NASA learns how these new markets respond, the agency will reassess the pricing and amount of available resources approximately every six months and make adjustments as necessary.

To qualify, commercial and marketing activities must either:

• require the unique microgravity environment to enable manufacturing, production or development of a commercial application;
• have a connection to NASA’s mission; or
• support the development of a sustainable low-Earth orbit economy.

NASA’s directive enabling commercial and marketing activities aboard the space station addresses manufacturing, production, transportation, and marketing of commercial resources and goods, including products intended for commercial sale on Earth. NASA astronauts will be able to conduct coordinated, scheduled and reimbursable commercial and marketing activities consistent with government ethics requirements aboard the station.

To ensure a competitive market, NASA initially is making available five percent of the agency’s annual allocation of crew resources and cargo capability, including 90 hours of crew time and 175 kg of cargo launch capability, but will limit the amount provided to any one company.

Private Astronaut Missions

NASA also is enabling private astronaut missions of up to 30 days on the International Space Station to perform duties that fall into the approved commercial and marketing activities outlined in the directive released Friday, with the first mission as early as 2020. A new NASA Research Announcement focus area issued today outlines the path for those future private astronaut missions.

If supported by the market, the agency can accommodate up to two short-duration private astronaut missions per year to the International Space Station. These missions will be privately funded, dedicated commercial spaceflights.  Private astronaut missions will use a U.S. spacecraft developed under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.

The commercial entity developing the mission will determine crew composition for each mission and ensure private astronauts meet NASA’s medical standards and the training and certification procedures for International Space Station crew members. Market studies identified private astronaut missions to low-Earth orbit as a key element to demonstrate demand and reduce risk for future commercial destinations in low-Earth orbit.

Commercial Destinations in Low-Earth Orbit

In the long-term, NASA’s goal is to become one of many customers purchasing services from independent, commercial and free-flying habitable destinations in low-Earth orbit. A robust low-Earth orbit economy will need multiple commercial destinations, and NASA is partnering with industry to pursue dual paths to that objective that either go through the space station or directly to a free-flying destination.

As a first step, NASA is making one space station port and utilities available for industry to attach a commercial module to support commercial activities, and today is releasing a synopsis as Appendix I in NASA’s Next Space Technologies for Exploration Partnerships (NextSTEP) 2 Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). NASA expects to release the solicitation June 14, with awards made by the end of the fiscal year. The forward port of the station’s Harmony module will be available to industry for a finite period of time.

NASA will follow up with a synopsis for NextSTEP 2 Appendix K in July to partner with industry in the development of future free-flying commercial stations in low-Earth orbit.

Stimulate Sustainable Demand

NASA continues to seek and pursue opportunities to stimulate sustainable commercial demand in low-Earth orbit and, to that end, has added two new focus areas to the NASA Research Announcement soliciting proposals for commercial concepts. these focus areas include in-space manufacturing, regenerative medicine, bioengineering, and other fields that may lead to a scalable, financially self-sustaining demand for low-Earth orbit capabilities.

In addition, NASA is seeking targeted studies to better understand real and perceived barriers of potential new market entrants and to address broad ideas which could help stimulate demand. Successful proposals will define the path to broadly foster market growth, provide data-driven rationale to support the defined path, and lead to recommendations on which NASA, industry or other organizations could act. More details are available in the synopsis for NextSTEP 2 BAA Appendix J. NASA expects to release the solicitation for Appendix J on June 14 with awards made by the end of the fiscal year.

NASA also is working to increase the research and development community’s understanding of the potential value of microgravity research and the path to conducting research in low-Earth orbit by coordinating across the microgravity community to lower barriers to entry and refinement of research via drop towers, parabolic, and suborbital flights.

Quantify NASA’s Long-term Demand

NASA is providing a forecast of its minimum long-term, low-Earth orbit requirements, representing the type and amount of services that NASA intends to purchase when those services become commercially available. The goal is to reduce uncertainty for commercial destination providers about NASA as a customer, and to help them make decisions about which NASA requirements they are interested in fulfilling.

NASA also is providing details and estimated quantities for NASA crew accommodation, human research, biological and physical science research, technology demonstrations, and hosted science instruments. In addition, NASA intends to continue purchasing services for a national laboratory capability in low-Earth orbit. For example, NASA’s strategy research in the areas of space biology, physical sciences, and fundamental physics is driven by recommendations from the National Academy of Sciences (NAS). Fundamental research and applied exploration research are not mutually exclusive, and advances in one area often enable advancements in the other. NASA’s Space Life and Physical Sciences Research Applications division has identified the highest research priorities for long-term use of low-Earth orbit: in life sciences, the priorities are studies of plants, model organisms, and of the microbiome of the built environment; and in physical sciences, the priorities are studies into combustion and phase change-associated energy transfer.

To improve the agency’s five-part plan and its effectiveness, NASA is seeking feedback from industry and others through a request for information, with responses due by July 3.

For more than 18 years, humans have lived and worked aboard the International Space Station, conducting thousands of experiments in areas such as human research, biology, and physical science, as well as advanced technology development. Many of these experiments, conducted via the ISS National Lab, have been research and development with commercial objectives.  New opportunities are needed to move beyond research and development, and the station will play an essential role in enabling those opportunities for new commercial markets needed to build a sustainable ecosystem in low-Earth orbit.

Het ISS draait sinds november 1998 in een baan rond de aarde. Het complex is sinds 2000 permanent bewoond. Het is een gezamenlijk project van de Verenigde Staten, Europa, Rusland, Canada en Japan. 

De astronauten zullen uitsluitend de ruimte in gebracht worden door de twee bedrijven die ruimtecapsules voor NASA ontwikkelen: SpaceX, met de capsule Crew Dragon, en Boeing, dat de Starliner bouwt.

International Space Station To Offer Private Tours: Fisheye Lens Optional?

The International Space Station will be soon offering low flat earth rides to the wealthy. Word is commerical companies can jump on board for a few million dollars.  Starting in 2020 two wannabe astronausts can take a brief ride below the firmament dome and above the flat earth. Corporate estimates run up to firty-eight million dollars per person. After that the International Space Station will expand its reach to additional tourist markets. 

The official reason for opening the magical hatch is to raise money for man’s fictitous return to the moon. Even the current administration has increased the space budget. Perhaps this will allow for the construction of a new moon landing soundstage. No doubt there are a plethora of science fiction movie directors up to the task of recreating that which never happened again

In my opinion, the fish eyed lens is the greatest tool of deception still used by the masters of Illustion. Indeed, it’s not the high-def digital clarity that holds the key to deception. Rather it’s the lens of perception through which your eyes view reality. In this case, the cameras lens brings the lie into focus. There’s no denying that videos taken from above distinctly show the earth’s curvature. However, the only curvature is in the fish eye lens of the camera. It’s not the earth that has curvature. But the lens itself creating the illusion of curvature. Like a mirage rising off a desert highway in middle of the summer. These ultra-wide-angle lenses produce a strong visual distortion. All the while creating a wide panoramic hemispherical image, like when a fish-eye lens is tilted up or down in relation to the horizon. The result is the illusion of curvature. Tilting it down creates an orb curved effect. Panning the shot from a low orbit position above to the flat earth below displays the mirage of an orb curved effect.

You’ve been programmed to believe you live on a magical, rotating ball with a circumference of twenty-four thousand nine-hundred and one miles. If this were true, then logically the ball would have curvature. To save time, here’s the Pythagorean curvature equation. Based on the fictional round earth circumference of twenty-four thousand, nine-hundred and one miles, eight inches times the distance squared.

1 mile=8 inches of curvature 2 miles= 32 inches of curvature 5 miles=16.6 feet of curvature 10 miles= 66.6 feet of curvature 20 miles= 266.6 feet of curvature

For example, a boat ten miles off shore should be sixty-six-point-six feet below eye level or visible horizon. It’s not. On flat earth, the horizon always rises to your eye level. Whether standing on a beach or the penthouse of an ocean-front building. That’s because it’s flat. What you believe is the earth’s curvature is, in fact, the vanishing line of perspective from your point of view. The flat horizon changes in relation your vantage point. Whether its viewed from ground level or a jet at thirty-five thousand feet, each flat horizon will have a different line of perspective. A boat disappearing over the vanishing line of perspective comes back into view through a pair of binoculars. An impossibility if the earth were a ball. There’s a reason they call it sea level. Water will always find its level. To believe the heliocentric, spinning ball theory you must believe that the water’s surface is in the shape of what’s underneath. If earth was a ball, jets would have to compensate for the curvature with a constant downward trajectory. Otherwise they would crash into water firmament dome.

In truth, jets fly level because there isn’t any curvature. The artificial horizon instrument in the cockpit of a plane indicates whether the pilot is flying level to the horizon. This gauge is a mechanical gyroscope without a single internal electrical component, adjusting itself into an upright position indicating a level flight in relation to the ground. Therefore, if a jet followed the true curvature of the fictional earth ball, the artificial horizon should roll back to reflect curvature. The constant flat line on the artificial horizon instrument proves the horizon is always flat. In addition, the sundial, periscope, and lighthouse could not function on a round spinning ball.

What about the Coriolis Effect? This is whereby a mass moving in a rotating system experiences the Coriolis force, acting perpendicular to the direction of motion and to the axis of rotation. This is the fictional cousin to gravity. In theory, the Coriolis Effect deflects moving objects to the right in the Northern hemisphere and to the left in the Southern. It’s allegedly the force that makes a plane conform to the curvature of the earth. So much fiction, so little time.

The evolutionary, heliocentric theory states that you live on a spinning ball rotating at one thousand miles per hour. Simultaneously, this fictional earth ball is traveling around a burning sun ball at sixty-six-thousand miles per hour, as the sun and other ball planets orbit the Milky Way galaxy at four-hundred abd eight-six-thousand miles per hour. These heavenly bodies within the Milky Way galaxy are collectively expanding from the original Big Bang at six-hundred-and- seventy-million miles per hour. The foundational belief of the Big Bang Theory is as follows: “Two of dots collided.” Ha ha ha!!… I love the evolutionary child-like faith of Darwin!!

Our indoctrination began in kindergarten, focusing our innocent, impressionable eyes on the ubiquitous, fictional ball. So thorough was our brainwashing that we believe a magical, invisible force called gravity makes the oceans, buildings and people stick to the fictional round ball, all the while spinning faster than the speed of sound. Gravity is why people in Australia don’t fall off the earth. Truth be told, gravity doesn’t exist. Rather, it’s a question of density. If its lighter than air, it rises. If it’s heavier than air, it falls. No gravity; just density. A helium balloon rises because it’s lighter than the atmosphere. Those who adhere to the illusion of gravity believe it’s powerful enough to conform the oceans to the planet. And yet weak enough for a butterfly to stay aloft. Gravity must be believed, or the spinning ball heliocentric model …. wait for it…. falls flat.

Here’s another example of the cosmos hiding in plain sight. We’ve been indoctrinated to believe the sky and ocean get their blue color from the white sunlight reflecting off the oceans. In truth  the sky and oceans get their blue color from the localized sun illuminating a singular, encased, sea firmament dome thirty-five hundred miles above the surface of the flat earth. Spanning three-hundred and sixty degrees around my flat earth. The sun and moon are positioned below the water firmament dome, rotating in a clockwise motion above the flat earth. The water firmament dome divides the mortal first heaven and third dimension from the eternal second heaven of the fourth dimension.

These windows of heaven are the water gate-portals affixed to the water firmament dome. You live below a sealed dome that contains a vast ocean.

The Book of Enoch, Chapter 53 Verses 8-11 says, “All the waters, which are in the heavens and above them, shall mix together. The water which is above heaven shall be the agent; And the water which is under the earth shall be the recipient; and all shall be destroyed who dwell upon the earth, and who dwell under the extremities of heaven. By these means shall they understand the iniquity which they have committed on earth: and by these means shall they perish.”

Job 34 verse 18 says, “Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass.”  Neither the planets nor stars are comprised of terra-firma and therefore impossible to land on.

Rockets always curve after lift-off, preventing a crash into the water firmament dome thirtyfive hundred miles above the surface the flat earth. In truth, outer space is the beginning of the second heaven and fourth dimension. No astronaut has ever penetrated the sea firmament dome.. Only redeemed images who’ve severed the silver cord (died) trans-relocate through this mortal barrier, arriving home in the fifth dimension of the third heaven, where they are cloaked in the garment of an eternal, trans-human body. That’s enough for now….

UFOs in Wisconsin: 1968 Roswell-like incident, more tales in Manitowoc library event

On Jan. 21, 1968, more than 25 people saw a round, dark-gray object about the size of a hot-air balloon in the sky. One witness claimed the object appeared to drop sparks and debris as it moved through the air. Ultimately, the object landed at Berge Farm, which is in the Madison area. Already at the farm was a sheriff's deputy and three kids from the neighborhood. A witness recalling the event said someone saw something on the ground on the Berge Farm. The farmer recovered a piece of metal from the UFO crash and gave it to an investigative journalist called, mysteriously, “Mr. S” in the story.

The investigative journalist was staying at the local Holiday Inn while he was putting his piece together. A bit later, the farmer telephoned the journalist to inform him that someone claiming to be a fertilizer salesman came snooping around and was especially inquisitive about that piece of metal he had passed along. The farmer was becoming increasingly very nervous and wanted to see the investigative journalist in person again. The investigative journalist, now feeling a bit more nervous himself, hid the piece of metal in the back of the TV set in his motel room instead of carrying it with him, as he had been doing previously.

As a precaution, “Mr. S” asked the hotel staff to keep an eye on his room while he while he was away meeting with the farmer. Not completely surprisingly, a maid would later report seeing two men rifling through the belongings in his room. At his meeting with “Mr. S,” the farmer told him he wanted the metal chunk returned to him. After his conversation with the so-called fertilizer salesman, he now thought this metal object might be a national security risk. “Mr. S” returned to the Holiday Inn feeling a little disappointed he had to return the object.

Upon his arrival, he found the two men waiting for him in his room. They told him he had something in his possession that they wanted him to hand over. Naturally, they were referring to the chunk of metal the farmer had given him and that it was their job to pick it up. “Mr. S” wisely asked to see some ID. They responded by asking him which agency ID he would like to see and that they would gladly produce it. Eventually, after more conversation, “Mr. S” was persuaded to give the piece of metal to the two men.

Afterward, the investigative journalist called a friend, Mr. Steiger, who helped him track the license plate of the two men who had come to the Holiday Inn in to pay him a visit. Turns out the car was owned by a gentleman with links to the CIA.

That’s right, folks — a Roswell-style incident took place right here in Wisconsin. That story came from a book, titled "UFO Wisconsin: A Progress Report," by Noah Voss. This story was from 1968, but in April of this year alone, 355 national UFO sightings were reported to the National UFO Reporting Center. Now, not every UFO sighting produces a story as intriguing as this one, but this one is particularly mysterious and fascinating. It makes me want to pay more attention to the night sky. Maybe I’ll get to bear witness to my own UFO sighting!

Russian Military Colonel Publishes An Article Claiming Human & Animal Telepathy Is 100 Percent Real

Is telepathy real? It’s hard to argue against it; in fact, I would say that it’s not really up for debate. That being said, when it comes to topics like these, the field is polluted with a bad reputation given its association with magic, superstition and ‘pseudoscience,’ terms that often come from those who condemn the subject without ever really looking into it. The evidence for the existence of telepathy is actually quite overwhelming, and in many cases, much stronger than most other areas of science.

Dr. Jessica Utts is a great person to bring up, as I’ve done many times before, to hammer this fact home. She is the  Chair of the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Irvine. In 1999, she published a paper showing how the statistical significance with regards to results seen from studies under the realm of parapsychology (telepathy, remote viewing, etc) are stronger than some of the studies used to approve some medications. In a recent interview, she emphasized the following.

“What convinced me was just the evidence, the accumulating evidence as I worked in this field and I got to see more and more of the evidence. I visited the laboratories, even beyond where I was working to see what they were doing and I could see that they had really tight controls… and so I got convinced by the good science that I saw being done. And in fact I will say as a statistician I’ve consulted in a lot of different areas of science; the methodology and the controls on these experiments are much tighter than any other area of of science where I’ve worked.” (source)

Why is it that these topics are not touched by mainstream academia, yet studied at the highest levels of government? Multiple governments all over the world have been studying this phenomenon for decades, and a lot has been declassified. Take the remote viewing program that was conducted by the US government/CIA and Stanford University, for example.

After its declassification in 1995, or at least its partial declassification, the Department of Defense and those involved revealed an exceptionally high success rate.

To summarize, over the years, the back-and-forth criticism of protocols, refinement of methods, and successful replication of this type of remote viewing in independent laboratories has yielded considerable scientific evidence for the reality of the [remote viewing] phenomenon. (source)

The latest example comes from Russia, as their Ministry of Defence recently published an article about the existence and study of parapsychology within the Russian military. The article explains how these techniques are and were used to penetrate the thoughts of the enemy (mind-reading) as well as to hack into enemy computer systems. The article is titled “Super Soldier for the Future Wars” and was published in the Defense Army magazine.

The article was written by Colonel Nikolai Poroskov, who explained that they use parapsychological techniques like telepathy for combat purposes, revealing secrets, disclosing locations, etc… He even discloses that Russian specialists have learned telepathy by working with dolphins.

As a note to readers, we here at Collective Evolution do not condone the use of animals for any type of experimentation. There is no information on the conditions of these experiments, but we are assuming they were captured for military purposes, which is extremely sad and heart-breaking.

Poroskov writes:

“They mentally gave the animals the commands that they carried out. Similar practiced by the famous trainer Durov. The technique, as it turned out, is applicable to humans. Moreover, the impact was even possible on the technique. With an effort of thought you can, for example, shoot down computer programs, burn crystals in generators, eavesdrop on a conversation, or break television and radio broadcasts and communications. Good luck ended with such experiments as reading a document lying in a safe, even if it is in a foreign language that we do not speak; identification of individuals belonging to the terrorist network; identifying potential candidates for terrorist groups,” the statement reads. Quite astonishing, isn’t it? Parapsychology seems to be the largest known threat to any type of secrecy, doesn’t it? I found the reference to hacking computers quite interesting. Can telepathy really be used for purposes like hacking electronic equipment? I did some more digging and found an interesting document inside of the CIA’s electronic reading room with regards to the Soviet Union.

Here’s a quote from the document:

The Soviet Union is well aware of the benefits and applications of parapsychology research. In 1963, a Kremilin edict apparently gave top priority to biological research, which in Russia includes parapsychology. The major impetus behind the Soviet drive to harness the possible capabilities of telepathic communication, telekinetics, and bionics is said to come from the Soviet military and the KGB. Today it is reported that the USSR has twenty or more centres for the study of parapsychological phenomena, with an annual budget estimated in 1967 at over 13 million dollars and reported to be as high as 21 million dollars.

Today, we know that trillions of dollars have gone into black budget programs in the United States, many of which likely deal with parapsychology, as they have in the past.

There are reports that the Soviets are training their cosmonauts in telepathy to back-up their electronic equipment while in outer space. One of these back-up schemes is known to involve coded telepathic messages. This method was previously demonstrated in March 1967, when a coded telepathic message was flashed from Moscow to Leningrad. The involvement of astronauts or cosmonauts in telepathy experiments is not necessarily unprecedented. In February 1971, during the Apollo 14 flight to the moon, astronaut Edgar Mitchell made 150 separate attempts to project his thoughts from inside the space capsule back to an individual on earth. The results of the Apollo 14 experiments have been well-documented in detail and are published in the Journal of Parapsychology. (source)

Mysterious Lights on the Moon’s Surface Going on and Off

The so-called transient lunar phenomena have been known since the 1950 and although there are several theories about the lunar mystery lights’ origins, they have not yet been fully explained.

Now astronomers from Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) in Bavaria, Germany have set up a telescope which will use artificial intelligence to automatically detect the flashes.

According to Metro.co.uk, Professor Kayal has a hypothesis about what’s causing the longer-lasting flashes and hopes to prove this theory. ‘Seismic activities were also observed on the moon,’ the professor added. ‘When the surface moves, gases that reflect sunlight could escape from the interior of the moon. This would explain the luminous phenomena, some of which last for hours.’ However, there is currently no explanation for the flashes.

In the video below he shows the lights with the timer set on 2014. I have checked the lights too on Google Earth in Moon but set the timer on the current dates of 2019 and the lights are still there and on the same time the lights are going on and off like in 2014.

Other light phenomena on the Earth’s satellite can last longer. And sometimes there are also places that darken temporarily which corresponds with the lights going on and off in Google Earth in Moon.

Anyone who wants to build a lunar base at some point must of course be familiar with the local conditions,” says Professor Kayal. What if such plans should ever become concrete? By then at the latest, it should be clear what the mysterious flashes and luminous phenomena are all about.

Climate change is not a good thing in general, but it’s done wonders for fossil hunters in Siberia who make new discoveries as the permafrost thaws. While not many people seem to be moving to that formerly-frozen land these days, it seems it was once a hotbed (warmbed? coolbed?) of early human species activities. While the Denivosan fossils have been getting all of the publicity lately, the discovery of a couple of 31,000-year-old teeth in far northeastern Siberia have been identified as yet another new group of humans to brave the Siberian cold. Could they possibly have been ancestors of Native Americans? Make some hot chocolate and let’s find out.

“These people were a significant part of human history, they diversified almost at the same time as the ancestors of modern day Asians and Europeans and it’s likely that at one point they occupied large regions of the northern hemisphere.”

“These people” are the owners of two tiny milk teeth found in 2001 in an archaeological site near the Yana River in the Sakha province known as the Yana Rhinoceros Horn Site. Professor Eske Willerslev, the director of The Lundbeck Foundation Centre for GeoGenetics at the University of Copenhagen, helped sort out the human and animal bones and recently did the DNA analysis which convinced him that these were the teeth of a new human group called the ‘Ancient North Siberians’.

“They adapted to extreme environments very quickly, and were highly mobile. These findings have changed a lot of what we thought we knew about the population history of north eastern Siberia but also what we know about the history of human migration as a whole.”

Don’t look back … they may be gaining on us!

Dr Martin Sikora, also from the Lundbeck Centre, and Willerslev co-authored the study published this week in the journalNature. The discovery is exciting because the DNA shows the Ancient North Siberians were more closely related to Europeans than Asians and survived and thrived as “big game hunters of woolly mammoth and woolly rhinoceros.” Furthermore, they seem to be at the top of the pyramid of peoples that eventually spread across east Asia and North America. Were these the long-sought, Bering landmass-crossing direct ancestors of the first Native Americans?

“[Ancestors of] Native Americans are not the first people in northeastern Siberia as most people, if not everybody, thought.”

Willerslev points out that the Ancient North Siberians, while tough, didn’t survive long enough to be direct ancestors of Native Americans. They were eventually replaced by Ancient Paleo-Siberians, who were themselves replaced about 10,000 years ago by the Neo-Siberians. However, a different DNA analysis of a recent finding of a 10,000-year-old Ancient Paleo-Siberian shows that THEY may be the missing Siberian-to-Native-American link.

“This [DNA] is the first evidence we have, real evidence, of something very close genetically to Native Americans.”

Is this discovery Jeopardy-ready? Not quite. What it shows is that there were a number of very tough and mobile Siberian cultures thriving in that hostile environment as far back as 30,000 years ago when there was still a land mass connecting the two continents. What kept the earlier groups from continuing their eastward march was more likely the ice on the North American side. The DNA of the Ancient Paleo-Siberians is very close to Native American but still no American-supplied tobacco cigar. That fossil is waiting to be found.

This is no reason to root for climate-change-caused melting, but it definitely helps.

Within the field of Ufology there are longstanding and highly controversial rumors that the May 22, 1949 death of James Forrestal – the first U.S. Secretary of Defense – was linked to the UFO phenomenon. So the story goes, while suffering from severe depression and anxiety, and ultimately spiraling into a complete nervous breakdown (as a result of his exposure to what the U.S. Government knew about UFOs), Forrestal was on the verge of revealing his knowledge of an alien presence on Earth. The theory continues that powerful figures decided such a thing simply could not be allowed to occur. The result was that Forrestal had to go. And “go,” he certainly did: out of a window. In the early hours of May 22, Forrestal plunged to his death from the 16th floor of the Bethesda Naval Hospital. The big question is: was he pushed or did he jump?

Of course, there’s no hard proof in the public domain that Forrestal was briefed on the more sensational and top secret aspects of the UFO phenomenon. Although, logic dictates that he would have been briefed (at least to some degree), since he accepted the position of Secretary of Defense in 1947 – the year in which the flying saucer was “born” and when the military was indeed taking the mysterious matter very seriously. Even outside of Ufology, there are suspicions that Forrestal’s death was no suicide.

The reason why I mention all of this is because in the last couple of days the FBI has declassified a file on Forrestal which runs to close to 300 pages. I should stress that for the most part the file is focused on bureaucratic issues. That’s not to say there aren’t any interesting and intriguing entries in the file. There certainly are. You can find the file at this link. If you scroll down the file to the latter part, you’ll see the more intriguing information. One section of the file concerns Forrestal’s worries that his phone was being tapped. It was an issue brought to the personal attention of the FBI’s Director, J. Edgar Hoover.

A March 28, 1949 FBI document states: “There was a party at the White House this afternoon for Mr. Forrestal and during the afternoon he remarked to [deleted] that he suspects that his phones are being tapped and asked to whom he should speak about this. [Deleted] told him Mr. Hoover was the one to talk about it and told Mr. Forrestal he would be glad to call for him. He said no, he would call Mr. Hoover himself.”

Two days later, Hoover wrote to Forrestal the following: “Dear Jim, I wanted to let you know that we have completed the check of the telephone lines and instruments in your residence and that all were found to be clear. It was a pleasure to be of this assistance to you.” Of course, most of Forrestal’s concerns about phone-tapping were very likely provoked by his increasing paranoid state. I see such paranoia time and time again in Ufology. A strange noise on the phone indicates that “they” are listening. A text that fails to arrive on time is a sign that the Men in Black are playing sinister games. And so on.

Certainly, the most bizarre – but also intriguing – entry in the file is a letter sent to the FBI on March 9, 1952. The name of the letter-writer is deleted. The letter reads as follows: “On the Brundidge Ryan Crime Report (which is [a] television show out New York) a [deleted] said he thought and would be able to prove in the near future that James V. Forrestal was driven to insanity by placing two grams of opium and two grams of some other narcotic in his coffee each day for two weeks. He said this would drive any man into wanting suicide. I wrote [deleted] but have as yet received no answer. Would you please tell me if there is any doubt that Forrestal committed suicide naturally? I would also like to know if taking those narcotics for the prescribed length of time would cause said reaction? Pleas send the reply to the above address.”

On March 18, the FBI replied to the letter-writer, informing him or her that the letter to the FBI had been forwarded on to the Bureau of Narcotics. Those with a particular interest in all of this might wish to file a FOIA request to try and determine what the Bureau of Narcotics had to say about all of this. The file also contains a number of notable documents, including (A) J. Edgar Hoover’s congratulatory letter to Forrestal when, in 1949, he – Forrestal – took on the position of Secretary of Defense; and (B) the official notification to the FBI of Forrestal’s death. And, for those who follow the Forrestal controversy, there are enough leads and threads to keep you going for a while.

On September 16, 1994, a memorandum was issued to high-ranking members of President Bill Clinton’s administration, outlining a unique directive aimed at reshaping the security policy structure in the United States.

“The end of the Cold War has dramatically changed the threats that defined the security policies and procedures for protecting our government’s information, facilities and people,” Clinton wrote in the memo. “While some threats have been reduced, others have remained relatively stable or have increased. Our understanding of the range of issues that affect our national security continues to evolve.”

“With this greater diversity of threats,” he continued, “there is wide recognition that the security policies, practices and procedures developed during the Cold War must be reexamined and changed. We require a new security process based on sound threat analysis and risk management practices. A process which can adapt our security policies, practices and procedures as the economic, political and military challenges to our national interests continue to evolve.”

After outlining key areas that would become the aim of future security assessments, Clinton moved that, “Consistent with the National Security Act of 1947, I direct the establishment of a new security policy structure, under the direction of the NSC, for the coordination, formulation, evaluation and oversight of security policy,” and the ultimate formation of a secretive Security Policy Board.

This is all significant primarily for one reason: public knowledge of the Security Policy Board came to light as a result of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Release of the first page of Presidential Decision Directive 29, which detailed the formation of this secret policy group in the Clinton government. Otherwise, its existence might remain off-the-books even today.

The Freedom of Information Act is integral to the journalistic process today, and in keeping with the objective of broader government transparency, it is also a vital tool for the citizenry. There are a variety of things that come to light as a result of FOIA, ranging from secretive details like those outlined above, to the truly odd. For instance, a recent series of documents posted on the FBI’s website detail how the Bureau studied alleged Bigfoot hair in the 1970s. However, these documents had actually been released in 2018 to researcher John Greenwald, as part of a FOIA request he made after a discussion with David Paulides about the subject, whereafter they were added to FBI’s Vault for broader public access (this is often the case with FOIA releases which, upon being made public, will be added to the “Reading Rooms” on websites of the agencies granting the FOIA, if the newly released files are believed to be of broader public interest).

FOIA has also played an integral role in piecing together what little we can about the Pentagon’s secretive Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program, or AATIP, which studied unexplained aerial phenomena between 2007 and 2012. The program was first made public in December 2017, following a New York Times article which interviewed Luis Elizondo, who says he was head of the program until his resignation only weeks earlier (subsequent acknowledgment of the program by Pentagon spokespeople has also occurred).

However, as far as government documentation to accompany public statements about the program, arguably the most significant was a FOIA release obtained by Steven Aftergood with the Federation of American Scientists, which presented a series of research papers related to the program and its objectives.

“The DIA list of research papers, marked for Official Use Only, was previously provided to Congress in January 2018. It was publicly released yesterday under the Freedom of Information Act,” Aftergood wrote.

“A DIA FOIA officer noted with some exasperation,” he added, “that yesterday’s release of the list of research papers will, in all likelihood, prompt new FOIA requests to his Agency for each of the listed papers.”

According to the Electronic Information Privacy Center (EPIC), a Washington-based organization that promotes “public attention on emerging privacy and civil liberties issues and to protect privacy, freedom of expression, and democratic values in the information age,” a number of less unusual, albeit more concerning issues have come to light as a result of FOIA requests over the years. In 2014, EPIC filed a FOIA request for documents pertaining to the deployment of Z Backscatter Van technology, a variety of X-ray technology used to scan objects, which had been in use by law enforcement agencies since 2011. The documents were released to them earlier this year.

Other notable FOIA releases pertaining to government secrecy and experimental technologies include:

• Details about FBI contracts with Dataminr, a company which created an Advanced Alerting Tool allowing the FBI to engage in broad, near-real-time surveillance of Twitter.
• Documents outlining a procedure for disrupting cellular communications networks.
• Documents on the FBI’s Carnivore Internet Surveillance System (which can be read here).

In the age of cyberterrorism, many would argue that such technologies are necessary in order to preserve a free society. The irony, of course, is that “freedom” in the digital age is often reliant on certain measures that, in order to protect us, must also overstep our natural freedoms and right to privacy. Therefore, with tools like FOIA at our disposal, it is incumbent on us as the citizenry to pursue transparency where it can be attained, in the promotion of the ideals of a free, open, and democratic society.

A newly launched investigation could finally get to the bottom of a mystery that has baffled scientists since the 1950s.

For decades, scientists have observed brief flashes of light that appear on the surface of the moon several times a week. But, no one knows exactly what’s causing them.

Now, using a specially designed lunar telescope in Spain that boasts two cameras, a team will keep an eye on the moon’s activity every night in hopes to capture these strange phenomena and ultimately pinpoint the source.

Scientists have dubbed these strange events ‘transient lunar phenomena.’

The new effort is led by researchers from Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg in Germany, who built the new telescope and put it into operation in April 2019.

The telescope sits at a private observatory roughly 100 kilometers north of Seville, where the weather is optimal for viewing.

There are several possible explanations that have circulated over the years, from meteor impacts to interactions between solar wind and moon dust, the researchers say.

‘Seismic activities were also observed on the moon,’ says Hakan Kayal, Professor of Space Technology at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) in Bavaria, Germany.

‘When the surface moves, gases that reflect sunlight could escape from the interior of the moon.

‘This would explain the luminous phenomena, some of which last for hours.’

‘The so-called transient lunar phenomena have been known since the 1950s, but they have not been sufficiently observed,’ Kayal said.

When the new telescope logs a luminous phenomenon with both of its cameras at the same time, it will store the observations and send an email to the team.

Artificial intelligence techniques will eventually be added to help it distinguish between different types of events on the moon, as well as false alarms.

The researchers will eventually compare their results with those collected by the European Space Agency to confirm the observations.

Dark Knight Satellite In Apollo 10 Mission! Did Aliens Help NASA? UFO Sighting News.

This dark black object is in an Apollo 10 mission photo. This object looks like it may be a dark knight satellite. Those were alien built satellites being hundreds of thousands of years old, but left in earths orbit for unknown reasons. This raises the next question, if its not a dark knight satellite, why was it there? Perhaps it was alien trying assist and watch out for the Apollo 10 mission. Its 100% certain that the US government has connections with aliens, so the possibility of this being aliens watching over the mission seems great.
