Brian Sharpless woke up in the middle of the night with the haunting feeling that he wasn’t alone. Slowly, his bedroom door creaked open, like a hand was lightly touching it. Moonlight from the hallway window streamed through the open door. He wondered if he was getting robbed. Then Sharpless discovered something even more alarming: He couldn’t move. He lay paralyzed as he watched a dark form with a long, serpentine neck creep through the doorway. “I saw a shadowy face that looked like a ninja mask with red eyes,” Sharpless told me. It stared at him, moving closer and closer, and Sharpless felt … relieved.

Sharpless is a researcher who studies sleep disorders, and as he watched this demonic creature slip into his bedroom, he realized he wasn’t in danger. He was, for the first time, experiencing sleep paralysis himself.

Normally while you’re dreaming, your body is paralyzed so that you don’t act out your dreams. But in sleep paralysis, you wake up while your body is still frozen. And even though you are fully conscious, looking around your real room, part of your brain is still dreaming. People often hallucinate creepy things — shadowy forms, monsters, and aliens — in their bedrooms.

I talked to Sharpless, associate professor at the American School of Professional Psychology and author of Unusual and Rare Psychological Disorders, and Michael Breus, fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and founder of The Sleep Doctor website, to learn more about this mysterious disorder and what you should do if you find yourself in the middle of it.

How common is sleep paralysis?

As weird as waking up to hallucinations sounds, the experts I talked to say it’s more common than you might think. An estimated 8 percent of the worldwide population has experienced it, according to Sharpless, and that’s a conservative estimate. The number jumps to 28 percent for college students and 32 percent for psychiatric patients.

“I think really anybody could have it if the circumstances are right,” Sharpless said. Just being sleep deprived can make someone experience it. In fact, researchers induce sleep paralysis in labs all the time. They wait until a person has fallen asleep and gone into REM, then touch them lightly. Sometimes, that’s all it takes.

Even though many haven’t heard of the term “sleep paralysis,” people knew about the disorder long before there were sleep labs or even modern countries. Ancient Greeks called it “Pan ephialtes,” explained Sharpless, which means something like “when the god Pan leaps on your chest.” In fact, the word “nightmare” used to mean to what we now call sleep paralysis. In Middle English, nightmare referred to a “female spirit or monster” that would “settle on and produce a feeling of suffocation in a sleeping person or animal,” according to the Oxford English Dictionary. (“Mare” used to mean “evil female monster.”) After all, people dealing with sleep paralysis often feel as if a monster — be it a Greek god, a female spirit, or an alien — is sitting on their chests. “Nightmare” only started meaning “bad dream” in the 20th century.

What causes sleep paralysis?

Sleep is, to drastically understate matters, really complicated. For one thing, the different states of sleep — light dreaming, deep dreaming, etc. — aren’t actually so separate. A lot can go on in the transition between being awake and being asleep.

“The more complicated you make a computer or the more complicated you make a car, the more things can go wrong,” Sharpless explained. In sleep paralysis, you wake up before your brain stem, which stops your muscles from moving while you’re asleep, realizes it’s awake. As a result, it continues sending neurotransmitters that tell your muscles to freeze. Scientists still don’t know why this happens.

How do these hallucinations work?

“The hallucinations seem to happen in stages,” explained Sharpless. First, you wake up with the sense that you’re not alone. “It’s kind of like when you’re walking down a lonely street at night,” Sharpless continued. “You wake up, your eyes open, and you feel this uneasy feeling.”

As your brain tries to make sense of what’s going on, it creates something to explain why you feel so uneasy. It might whip up a menacing figure to watch you, often one that fits into your worldview.

“If you’re in 21st century America, you might see an extraterrestrial,” Sharpless said. “If you were in 15th century France, you might see a witch or a demon.”

It doesn’t stop at seeing imaginary things. You can feel them too. Sharpless says that, just as the brain can create imaginary sights and sounds, it can create imaginary physical sensations, too. People say that the monster in their room sits on them, and they can sense the pressure on their chest. Sharpless notes that the anxiety from seeing monsters may create or add to this feeling, since anxiety can cause chest pain. Sometimes, people experiencing sleep paralysis can’t breathe for a few seconds. In really scary cases, people feel like something is attacking or sexually assaulting them.

Are some people more likely to have sleep paralysis than others?

Sharpless says that anyone who easily dissociates — that is, goes into a kind of trance where they lose awareness of the world around them — may be more likely to have sleep paralysis. That might conjure images of prophets or fortunetellers, but dissociation is usually pretty mundane. If you drive along a highway and you zone out, then come to after a couple miles, you’re dissociating. People who do so more often might be more likely to develop sleep paralysis.

How do you stop sleep paralysis when it happens to you?

Nobody actually knows how to stop sleep paralysis, but there are ways to make it less scary. Simply knowing what’s going on can help. During Sharpless’s own sleep-paralysis episode, just knowing he was hallucinating made “the demonic thing with the giraffe neck” seem silly rather than scary, he explained.

“Either look at it dismissively, ignore it, or find humor in it,” he suggested. “You might say to yourself, ‘“Am I really seeing a demon in the bedroom now? Really?’” You can also try and focus on a body part or reassure yourself that what you’re seeing isn’t real. If your brain is creating an imaginary monster, making your brain pay attention to something else can cause the imaginary thing to cease to exist, or at least not be so scary. Sharpless says some of his patients have tried these methods and reported that they help, as they takes focus off of the monsters.

Is sleep paralysis harmful to your health? Can you die from it? 

“Other than that it scares the crap out of you, it’s not dangerous,” Breus told me. Still, your reaction to sleep paralysis could cause problems. Some people who get recurring sleep paralysis take stimulants at night or try other methods to stay awake, which can be pretty unhealthy. In one 19th-century case, a man paid his manservant to watch him all night in order to wake him up if he got sleep paralysis. (Spoiler: This did not help him sleep.)

And then of course, if you don’t know what’s going on, you could believe all sorts of creepy things when you’re awake. You might think you’re being regularly attacked by demons or kidnapped by aliens. “I’ve had people say to me, ‘the Devil possessed me,’” Breus said.

These sorts of beliefs can really strain your relationships with friends and family. “Some people think they’re going crazy,” said Sharpless. It’s especially tough on people who already have psychosis; they have an even more difficult time distinguishing between reality and hallucination.

How do you treat sleep paralysis?

If you only get sleep paralysis occasionally, you don’t need to treat it. But some people get it every day, or even a few times a night. They may choose to go on antidepressants to help them sleep better. Working on underlying issues like anxiety can help too.

How do you prevent sleep paralysis?

There are some simple things you can do. Sleeping on your side makes sleep paralysis less likely. Avoiding alcohol improves matters since alcohol interferes with sleep. Most importantly, getting regular, quality sleep is the best way to avoid sleep paralysis. Sharpless, for instance, got his moment of sleep paralysis when he was jetlagged from giving a presentation in England on, coincidentally, sleep paralysis.

“Now I’m wondering if I’m going to get sleep paralysis or something,” I told Sharpless after we’d been talking about the disorder long enough to make me nervous.

“You just might,” he said playfully. “They used to talk about it being contagious in ancient Rome, but we don’t have any good data on that.”

Pilot films two circular objects flying over Grand Canyon sparking UFO conspiracy meltdown

A PILOT captured two UFOs flying in tandem over the Grand Canyon, conspiracy theorists have claimed.

The footage begins by showing a panoramic view of the Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, US.

Once it reaches the far left-hand side, two objects come into view.

They seem to be in formation and in tandem as they make their way over the famous site.

Conspiracy YouTuber The Hidden Underbelly later shared the clip, captioning it: “Two UFOs captured lying in tandem over the Grand Canyon in Arizona.”

Thousands have since flooded in to watch the clip.

One person said: “Alien ships!”

Another added: “That’s awesome.”

Over 120,000 alien hunters are planning to ‘storm Area 51’ to discover the truth

Over 120,000 people have pledged to meet up and ‘storm Area 51’ in the Nevada desert to try and find evidence of alien contact.

The audacious plan is set for September 20, 2019 at 3am and is being organised through Facebook. Those taking part will meet at the Area 51 Alien Center in Amargosa Valley, Nevada and then proceed to Area 51 – a classified remote part of the US Air Force’s Edwards Air Force base.

Now, far be it from us to be cynical of such a plan, but the fact the Facebook group proposing the event is called ‘S***posting cause im in shambles’ gives us some cause for concern.

Nevertheless, at the time of writing, 129,000 people have indicated they’ll be taking part in ‘Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All Of Us’ and a further 163,000 have said they are interested.

Clearly not ones to sweat the finer details of such a daring attempt, the group’s organisers have outlined the approach thus:

‘If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens.’

Naruto running is a meme inspired by an anime character called Naruto Uzumaki who has a distinctive running style.

Dodging bullets is something that needs to be considered because last time someone tried to speed past the site, he was shot. In January a man carrying an unidentified cylindrical object was shot by the local sheriff’s office and Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) officers after attempting to drive into the site.

Whether or not the response will be the same when thousands of alien enthusiasts turn up to try and gain access remains to be seen.

However, given the nature of the group, we’re going to chalk this one up to internet trolling on a grand scale rather than any legitimate attempt to gain access to the mysterious Area 51.

Someone may have forgotten to turn off the TV at the other end of the universe.

Or maybe someone has sent us an emoji from a faraway mothership.

In other words, we don't have a clue what transmitted the single fast radio burst scientists picked up last week. But we do know where it came from: A galaxy far, far away.

In a study published this week, researchers at the California Institute of Technology claim to have traced a single radio burst back to its home nearly 8 billion light-years away.

Fast radio bursts, or FRBs — typically lasting anywhere from a fraction of a millisecond to a few milliseconds — have been enshrouded in mystery since they were first discovered in 2007. They're so powerful that they can make their way to our neck of the universe from impossibly far away, although it's rare that we receive them.

That's likely to change over the next few years as new pace-scanning equipment that specializes in FRBs comes online.

Back in January, a newly built Canadian telescope picked up no fewer than 13 fast radio bursts, all seeming to originate some 1.5 billion light-years away. But that's considerably easier to find than one solitary FRB.

What all fast radio bursts have in common is mathematical regularity. They beep-beep-beep at exactly the same intervals. But repeating FRBs are a lot easier to pick up and trace than a single radio burst.

"Finding the locations of the one-off FRBs is challenging because it requires a radio telescope that can both discover these extremely short events and locate them with the resolving power of a mile-wide radio dish," study author and Caltech professor Vikram Ravi explained a statement.

The signal appears to hail from a galaxy similar in size to our own, a region with such a low rate of star formation that scientists call it a "mellow" galaxy.

A repeating fast radio burst, by its very nature, is much easier to receive than a one-off signal.

The report comes a week after scientists in Australia announced the signal's discovery, dubbing it FRB 190523. To find that tiniest of blips in the cosmos, the researchers sifted through vast amounts of data collected by the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder.

Keith Bannister, who led that study, called it "the big breakthrough that the field has been waiting for since astronomers discovered fast radio bursts."

And now that researchers have zeroed in on its source, we may soon learn what caused it.

In the meantime, that single, incredibly brief transmission can carry a universe of data. Its odyssey across staggering distances could reveal what lies between star systems.

"These bursts are altered by the matter they encounter in space," Jean-Pierre Macquart, the professor who authored last week's study, noted in a statement. "Now we can pinpoint where they come from, we can use them to measure the amount of matter in intergalactic space."

Here be monsters. This video shows a living giant squid, captured on camera in its natural habitat for only the 2nd time in history.

NOAA researchers released the video above on June 21, 2019, while announcing that – for only the second time ever – they’d captured a giant squid on camera. Nathan Robinson was one of the scientists on a NOAA-funded expedition to the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The team was about 100 miles (160 km) southeast of New Orleans, at a depth of 2,490 feet (759 meters), when he saw a tentacle, perhaps 10 to 12 feet (3 meters) long, rising up out of the inky black of his computer screen.

At that point, he said, he was “captivated,” adding:

You feel very alive. There’s something instinctual about these animals that captures the imagination of everyone – the wonder that there are these huge animals out there on our planet that we know so little about, and that we’ve only caught on camera a couple of times.

The squid appeared to wrap its tentacles around the NOAA underwater stealth camera called the MEDUSA before quickly swimming away. Scientists cited the creature’s behavior as a normal reaction any animal would have to what, at first, appeared to be prey.

The scientists on the ship sent the footage to Mike Vecchione, a NOAA Fisheries zoologist and an octopus-and-squid expert, who said he was “nearly certain” that it was a squid of the genus Architeuthis – a giant squid. NOAA explained:

‘Giant squid’ is a term that’s sometimes used to describe a range of larger squid specimens, but scientifically … only squids of the genus Architeuthis can be considered giant squid.

Vecchione added:

The benchmark is taxonomy, rather than size – it’s either genetically a giant squid or not. People will refer to other things as giant squids, but cephalopod biologists don’t.

NOAA added:

The new footage was captured by the MEDUSA, a camera system that’s designed to give scientists a glimpse into the deep ocean without disturbing the light-sensitive creatures that live there. It uses red light, which many deep-dwelling creatures cannot see, as well as a lure modeled off of a bioluminescent jellyfish. The lure is meant to attract larger predators: Since some jellyfish create bioluminescent displays when attacked, some large predators in the deep ocean look out for this ‘burglar alarm’ display, and show up to feed on whatever it is that’s disturbing the jellyfish. The MEDUSA first captured a giant squid on video in 2012 off the coast of Japan.

The two videos can teach scientists a lot about the giant squid. They were both captured at 2,490 feet [760 meters] below the surface, which means the squid lives in a world that’s very dimly lit. They show that giant squids are active creatures – they don’t float around and passively wait for food to drift by, which Vecchione said was a hypothesis at one time. They also have huge eyes – the largest eyes of any animal on the planet — and their attraction to the jellyfish lure means they’re visual predators.

Edie Widder, chief executive officer of the Ocean Research & Conservation Association and the developer of the MEDUSA technology, said:

In the video, we could clearly see that it was visually tracking the electronic jellyfish, which was very exciting to be able to observe.

NOAA also pointed out that that giant squids are “not uncommon” creatures. They wash ashore fairly regularly off the coast of northern Spain, because the noise involved in oil exploration there can be lethal to them. But viewing one in its natural habitat is rare, and NOAA called it:

… a testament to the contributions ocean exploration is making to the public understanding of the ocean.

Een Nederlandse satellietspotter heeft zeldzame foto’s van het geheimzinnige ruimtevliegtuig X-37B gemaakt. Maandenlang speurde Ralf Vandebergh de hemel af op zoek naar het vaartuig.

Op 30 juni en 2 juli jongstleden slaagde hij erin om foto’s van de X-37B te maken.

“Het is echt een klein object, zelfs op 300 kilometer hoogte, dus verwacht niet dezelfde details zoals op foto’s van de echte spaceshuttle die op de grond zijn gemaakt,” lichtte hij toe.

Vijfde missie

Hij zei onder de indruk te zijn van de details die hij wel wist vast te leggen.

“We herkennen een deel van de neus, het laadruim en de staart van deze minishuttle,” zei Vandebergh.

Het naamloze vliegtuig voert momenteel zijn vijfde missie uit in de ruimte. Op 7 september 2017 werd de X-37B gelanceerd vanuit Florida.

Weinig bekend

Er is weinig bekend over wat zich aan boord van het vaartuig bevindt.

Gedacht wordt dat de missies van de X-37B te maken hebben met de oprichting van het Amerikaanse ruimteleger.

Space Force

President Trump heeft voorgesteld om een nieuwe tak toe te voegen aan het leger: een divisie die de Verenigde Staten ‘moet gaan beschermen in de ruimte’.

Het is de bedoeling dat deze ‘Space Force’ vanaf 2020 in werking zal treden.

Dutch astronomer captures rare photographs of mysterious US Air Force X-37B space plane

A Dutch astronomer captured rare photographs of the US Air Force's secretive X-37B space plane after searching for it for months.  

Ralf Vandebergh, an astrophotographer and ardent skywatcher in the Netherlands, said he had been trying to spot the robotic spacecraft for months and finally managed to track it down in May. 

It wasn't until last week that he was able to take photographs of the elusive X-37B as it passed overhead on June 30 and July 2.  

'It is really a small object, even at only 300 kilometers [186 miles] altitude, so don't expect the detail level of ground-based images of the real space shuttle,' Vandebergh said of the vehicle, according to Live Science. 

He said he was impressed by the level of detail he was able to capture on the spacecraft, also known as the Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), which looks like a miniature version of NASA's retired space shuttle.  

'We can recognize a bit of the nose, payload bay and tail of this mini-shuttle, with even a sign of some smaller detail,' Vandebergh said.

He was shooting with a 10-inch F/4,8 aperture Newtonian telescope and an Astrolumina ALccd 5L-11 mono CMOS camera after having tracked the X-37B manually with a 6×30 finderscope.

The unmanned plane is currently on its 667th day of its fifth flight mission, called OTV-5. 

It launched from one of Elon Musk's SpaceX Falcon 9 boosters at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on September 7, 2017. 

Officials have revealed few details about the OTV-5 mission but there has been a suggestion it could be part of a push for a US Space Force. 

The space plane is 29 feet long, 9.6 feet tall and weighs around 11,000 lbs. 

It is orbiting at around 200 miles high and is powered by solar cells with lithium-ion batteries.  

Little is known about what it is carrying but on board OTV-5's payload is a US thermal spreader which will test the longevity of electronics and heat pipes in the space environment.

Known as the Advanced Structurally Embedded Thermal Spreader, or ASETS-II, it was developed by the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), to test experimental electronics and oscillating heat pipes for long-duration stints in the space environment.

According to the AFRL, the payload’s three primary science objectives are to measure the initial on-orbit thermal performance, to measure long-duration thermal performance and to assess any lifetime degradation

In June last year, President Donald Trump announced that he is directing the Pentagon to a new Space Force as an independent service branch aimed at ensuring American dominance in space.

The president framed space as a national security issue, saying he does not want 'China and Russia and other countries leading us'.

One expert has suggested that this aircraft could already be part of an early US Space Force.

'Ironically, the X-37B is exactly the type of program — toward giving the U.S. flexibility of operations in space — that seems to be prompting the current push for a Space Force, yet are already underway,' said Joan Johnson-Freese, a professor in the National Security Affairs Department at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, Space.com reported.

Four previous X-37B missions have been launched by United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rockets. 

Each time the unmanned space plane has carried a mystery payload on long-duration flights in Earth orbit.

There’s your blueprint, junior Jedis – courtesy of physicists at the University of Chicago who published details of their research this week in the journal Nature. ‘Floquet’ sounds like a bunch of wet flowers but it’s a branch of differential equations. ‘Polariton’ sounds like an arctic movie monster but it’s actually a “quasiparticle resulting from the strong coupling of photons with a dipole-carrying excitation.” That simple description is explained in greater detail by the scientific blog Mapping Ignorance (thanks for rubbing our noses in it) with a video that helps non-physicists wrap their heads around the idea of an excited hybrid light particle which acts like it has mass and can cut through the limbs of the Sith. Or can it?

“Floquet polaritons are full of surprises; we’re still continuing to understand them better. Our next order of business, though, will be to use these colliding photons to make topological ‘fluids’ of light. It is a tremendously exciting time.”

Study co-author Logan Clark explained in a press release how others had first created polaritons as a bi-product in other quantum experiments but his team was the first to make them intentionally by making a simple change to the shaking technique used to excite them. Unfortunately, he doesn’t see these new easy polaritons as a solid form of light for lightsabers but rather as a kind of fluid. Light-supersoakers? Clark might go for that idea.

“It turns out shaking things is not only a lot of fun, but can lead to some really fascinating science.”

NASA Is Sending a Life-Hunting Drone to Saturn's Huge Moon Titan

NASA is going to Titan.

The space agency announced today (June 27) that the next mission in its New Frontiers line of medium-cost missions will be Dragonfly, a rotorcraft designed to ply the skies of the huge, hazy and potentially life-hosting Saturn moon.

If all goes according to plan, Dragonfly will launch in 2026 and land on Titan eight years later, NASA officials said. The probe will then spend at least 2.5 years cruising around the 3,200-mile-wide (5,150 kilometers) moon, making two dozen flights that cover a total of about 110 miles (180 km).

The 10-foot-long (3 meters) Dragonfly will gather a variety of data at each of its stops. Such work will help scientists learn more about Titan, the only solar system body other than Earth known to host stable bodies of liquid on its surface. 

Titan's surface lakes, rivers and seas aren't composed of water, however: The frigid moon's climate system is based on hydrocarbons, in particular methane and ethane.

The mission is geared toward characterizing Titan's chemistry in detail. Complex organic molecules are known to swirl in the moon's thick, nitrogen-dominated atmosphere, and some scientists think its hydrocarbon seas could host exotic forms of life.

Titan also hosts another potentially habitable environment — a buried ocean of liquid water, which sloshes beneath the moon's icy crust.

Dragonfly could conceivably find evidence of Titan life, if the moon is indeed inhabited. And, because Titan is very similar to the early Earth, the mission's observations may shed light on the chemical processes that helped life get going on our planet, NASA officials said.

"Titan is unlike any other place in the solar system, and Dragonfly is like no other mission," Thomas Zurbuchen, NASA's associate administrator for science at the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., said in a statement. 

"It's remarkable to think of this rotorcraft flying miles and miles across the organic sand dunes of Saturn's largest moon, exploring the processes that shape this extraordinary environment," he added. "Dragonfly will visit a world filled with a wide variety of organic compounds, which are the building blocks of life and could teach us about the origin of life itself."

Dragonfly will land among Titan's dunes, then make its way toward its final destination, the 50-mile-wide (80 km) Selk Crater. Selk is a particularly good place to study prebiotic chemistry and look for signs of life, NASA officials said. That's because the three ingredients necessary for life as we know it — liquid water, organic molecules and energy — mixed during the impact that created the crater. (Titan's bedrock is water ice.)

Dragonfly will be nuclear powered, like NASA's Mars rover Curiosity, the New Horizons Pluto probe and many other deep-space explorers. 

Dragonfly will be the fourth mission in the New Frontiers program, following New Horizons, the Juno probe to Jupiter and the OSIRIS-REx asteroid-sampling mission. Dragonfly's development costs are capped at $850 million, though the mission's total price tag, including launch, will probably top $1 billion.

The other finalist for the mid-2020s New Frontiers launch slot was the Comet Astrobiology Exploration Sample Return (CAESAR) mission, which proposed snagging bits of Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko — the same icy wanderer studied up close by Europe's Rosetta mission.

Dragonfly won't be the first craft to land on Titan. That honor belongs to Europe's Huygens probe, which touched down on the moon in January 2005. Huygens traveled to the Saturn system with NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which orbited the ringed planet from mid-2004 through September 2017.

Our Crazy Relationship with the Subject of UFO's

Over the last few months, I have been sent a steady stream of emails from people all over the United States telling me that they had a UFO sighting. I have had reports of silver oval crafts , groups of bright lights moving at incredible speeds and Orbs, mostly red Orbs.

People continue to see strange things in our sky daily all over this planet. You would think by now we would know what they are seeing and from where these things originate. The truth is we are exactly where we were now from where we were years ago when I first started to write and interview people about this subject.

The people who contact me when they have seen something that they realized was not like anything they had ever seen before all hold one thing in common. Every single person is stunned and wants me to have an OMG reaction to the fact they saw something considered unknown or unexplained.

They also think that now that they saw something that it should be front page news. The fact that people have been reporting UFO’s , and having encounters with these unknowns from the start of time seems to  be completely lost to people who have a sighting with their own eyes. It is clear to me that our society is so backwards and lacking in  any knowledge about this subject that they are stunned when they see one with their very  own eyes .

 They learn very quickly what it is like to be on the other side of the coin and now the one looking for acknowledgement that they did see something that was strange and unexplained, They also know what it is like to look  for protection and understanding to instead be laughed at  and told  it was a plane and turn away from them when they know they had just seen a damn UFO. Funny how we act towards one another with this subject.

When they contact me I tell them they are now part of  the club of millions worldwide who also have seen a UFO and that they now have the knowledge that they exist.

I often get back emails wanting me to be more stunned or shocked or shout in a hysteria that they actually did see a real object in the sky and do not understand why I do not do something. I explain that I have seen UFO’s and I know that they exist and have spoken to many people who also have seen UFO’s . It is not earth shattering news to me that yet another human looked up to find something they did not recognise looking back down at them.

I ask the people that have this type of reaction why they are so shocked that they finally saw something? The answer always is that they really did not think they existed.

I have to wonder how so many can still be walking around this planet when the internet, TV and media, in general, is covered with videos, stories and photos of UFO’s from all over the world? The fact we still are so reluctant to understand this is part of our reality on earth for me is actually frightening.

How is it we are so blinded and kept controlled by something so huge and seen by so many?

How is it that the people do not demand answers and are far happier to stay on a UFO rat-wheel of ignorance never wanting any answers? We have  millions reporting seeing a strange object. Our reaction is to say wow, maybe look at the photo or video and then just  yawn and walk away. Is it me or are we a bit insane not want to know more? Honestly, what the hell is wrong with us?

I often have people ask me where is the official place to report a UFO sighting. They seem to think there is some government agency or organisation that is seriously dealing with this issue. I think at times that society thinks that somewhere someone who knows what they are doing is taking care of all of this UFO stuff so they do not have to worry about it.  Well gang, sorry to be the one to tell you, but when it comes to UFO’s it is everyone for themselves as you are on your own with this issue.

Other nations have department’s or government agencies that do collect and keep data on the UFO issue in their country but we here in America are NOT one of them. If you call the police you do not get anywhere. If you call the military you get nothing.  We are set up to shut up and shut down people who try to discuss what they are seeing. Using ridicule and laughter has worked for years to silence the public on this subject and obviously continues to work as we are still locked on this rat-wheel of stupidity with this ever growing issue of UFO’s flying all over our country and nothing being done or explained or addressing the problem at all.

I had a man complain to me that he placed his sighting on MUFON but nothing happened. I asked him what he wanted to happen? He thought a big truck with white lab coat researchers would show up at his location to investigate his encounter.

I hated to be the one to tell him MUFON is a privately owned website, no hangers or buildings involved and the guy who owns it , well who knows what he does with the reports. It is not connected to any agency or government or military in any way so hs should stop waiting for any official reaction from them.

It is not the guy who owns MUFON or the TV shows making a fast buck off of our curiosity or the media or the thousands of internet pages that talk about this subject it is us, you and me to blame for our rat-wheel approach to this serious issue that needs to be addressed.

Why do we want to look at the subject as we do? Why do we treat is as  a scary movie but not want to digest the fact that these things are real and flying over our heads often? We may be in deep trouble and real danger yet we refuse to look up or ask why these objects are watching us. I fear them and I know you should too. Why are they here? What do they want? Who are they? Are they ours? Good God I think we need to know.

 Why is it we will see a UFO and still just go about our business as usual? Why do we just want to NOT KNOWN what the hell these things are and why do they fly around watching us?  I will not even address the fact that they take some of us. The question has to be what is wrong with all of us. We can sit and listen to an hour-long radio show on this subject, yawn and go to bed and give no thought at all to the fact that maybe we all need to know what is going on with these things. It is almost insane in my thinking that we are content to do nothing at all about asking questions of those who should have the answers for us. We should in mass be demanding our government and military tell us what these objects are and if we need to fear them. I want to know , I really am fearful and want to know, don’t you?

For now, I will watch as we run round and round on a large UFO rat- wheel of blissful ignorance refusing to get past the point of chatting about the issue and stay locked in the dangerous dark ages of  looking away , ignoring or denying  what and who  it  is that is flying our skies and watching us as we ignore it all in ignorance bliss. Maybe we are hypnotised or brainwashed or drugged to be so complacent about this serious subject, I just do not know  I will pray for us all.

Did a Flying Rectangle shoot down a Nuclear Ballistic Missile aimed at Hawaii?

On July 3, 2019, a photo was released of a flying rectangle shaped UFO near the island of Maui that was taken over a year earlier, and only recently discovered by the photographer. What is remarkable about the photo is that it shows what appears to be a craft very similar to one photographed near MacDill Air Force base in October 2017, which was revealed by my Florida source, JP, to be a weapons platform used by U.S. Air Force Special Operations.

The similarity of the craft seen in the respective photos raises the intriguing possibility that the flying rectangle photographed near Maui may have been involved in the shooting down of a nuclear ballistic missile aimed at Hawaii on January 13, 2018, widely thought to have been a false missile alert.

First, here is the photo of the Maui rectangle along with an insert showing a close-up.

According to the photographer:

While driving up mount haleakala in maui i took this picture and didnt notice anything until weeks later when i was going over my vacation photos. the object was not seen live. the object was in only one frame, nothing before or after. unkown altitude but as you can see it was above the cloud line [sic].

The photo was taken on May 24, 2018, but the flying rectangle only discovered and reported by the photographer on July 3, 2019, to MUFON.

Now here is some important background for understanding the deep significance behind the 2018 Maui rectangle UFO sighting in terms of photos previously sent to me by JP.

I have known JP since 2008, and he has regularly given me updates on his multiple contact experiences with human looking extraterrestrials, along with his experiences with covert Air Force operatives who have abducted and interrogated him at classified facilities or in their antigravity spacecraft. My evaluation of him is that he is a reliable and credible source, and I have created a webpage with my articles about the photos he regularly sends me.

In October 2017, JP sent me a series of photos of a rectangle shaped UFO that he witnessed near MacDill Air Force Base, home of US Special Operations Command. He took the photos after being prompted to do so by two mysterious men he believes were covert Air Force operatives.

One set of nine photos taken on October 19, 2017, shows a rectangle shaped UFO flying together with a triangle shaped craft.

 In another set of five photos taken on October 23, 2017, JP witnessed a rectangle UFO flying alone near MacDill. Both incidents involved covert operatives encouraging JP to take the photos. What follows is a short video featuring the October 23 photos and with some close-ups.

In one of the October 2017 incidents, JP recalls having been taken aboard the flying rectangle where he saw personnel wearing the patches of Air Force Special Operations.  He says that during his visit to the flying rectangle, he was in a corridor where he could peer outside and saw many instrument panels. He later speculated that these were part the craft’s weapons control system.

JP’s experience matched other insider accounts that flying rectangles are heavily armed weapons platforms used by a secret space program run by the Air Force, Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency and the National Reconnaissance Office. Corey Goode, a prominent Secret Space Program insider, had the following to say about the weapons systems of flying rectangles:

I think similar platforms or UFOs have been reported in the 80s and 90s as they were first building out of these platforms that have modular weapons and personnel delivery systems or configurations. They were built up on that superstructure type frame a long time ago and they been on improved upon since but these are pretty old technologies both the TR 3B and the square platform.

JP recalled his experience aboard the rectangle craft only after he photographed it as a result of being prompted by the two Air Force covert operatives. After being prompted and taking the photos, he then remembered being just taken aboard the craft as his head gradually cleared from a daze after receiving an injection during the abduction.

In my earlier analysis of JP’s photos and his eyewitness testimony, I concluded that the flying rectangle is a weapons platform used by Air Force Special Operations that can be deployed in the upper atmosphere and in Earth orbit.

The similarity between the flying rectangles photographed by JP in October 2017, with the UFO photographed near Maui on May 24, 2018, is remarkable. Here is a side by side comparison of the Maui photo with what was photographed by JP on October 19 and 23.

What lends great significance to the Maui photo is that it was taken four months after the alleged “false ballistic missile alert” for Hawaii issued on January 13, 2018.

I covered the alleged false missile alert in a series of online articles (see here, here & here), and more recently in an extensive chapter in my 2019 book, the U.S. Air Force Secret Space Program: Shifting Extraterrestrial Alliances and Space Force.

Remarkably, the military intelligence group QAnon, appeared to have given a warning of an impending false flag attack involving a “Defcon 1″ scenario in a series of posts beginning on January 7, 2018, only six days before the Hawaii alert.

What my research revealed was that the ballistic missile alert was not a false alarm at all, but was instead a false flag attack intended to start World War III by framing North Korea. What stopped the false flag attack was the US Air Force Secret Space Program (SSP), which had recently undergone a dramatic change in attitude, policies, and leadership, the genesis of which I discuss in great detail in my 2019 book.

There were multiple witnesses of something being shot down on the morning of January 13, 2018, near Maui. The US Coast Guard subsequently spent the next week scouring the ocean for debris of what had been shot down as Maui boat captains have confidentially reported to me and others.

These witness reports, along with the testimonies of multiple whistleblowers all support the conclusion that a nuclear ballistic missile was shot down by White Hats within the US military opposed to a Deep State effort to covertly start another world war.

The false flag attack occurred in January 2018, and four months later a flying rectangle is accidentally photographed near the island of Maui. Given the photos and testimony of JP, it appears that a flying rectangle used as a weapons platform by Air Force Special Operations was being secretly deployed near the Hawaiian islands during the critical months after the attack. If so, it may have been also directly involved in neutralizing the January 13 false flag attack on Hawaii.

Synchronistically, a day after the release of the Maui flying rectangle photo, President Donald Trump declared at the July 4 Independence Day celebration that Space Force was soon to be created as the sixth branch of the US military.

It is highly likely that soon after the formal inauguration of Space Force, and its incorporation of classified space units manned by Air Force Special Operations, that some of its secret arsenal of antigravity vehicles will be revealed to the general public.

In a future July 4 celebration, perhaps as early 2020, flying rectangles may be among the highlights of the air show as they drop down from space directly over the Washington Mall. Included among the flying rectangle craft may be the one that was photographed near Maui in 2018, and which may have also been involved in shooting down a ballistic nuclear missile attack on Hawaii that was intended to start World War III.

Abduction- Questions and Answers by Real TIme Abductees

I had an interesting conversation recently concerning my article about  two sisters and their difficulties over a lifetime of lost time abduction encounters.

The conversation was based on the fact that not only have I come to the conclusion that writing about  real time abductions was a waste of  my time and the Real Time Abductees time too.

 I explained that writing about this group of   unusual  people and their experiences did not seem to interest the public or any other group or researchers at all. The fact the real time abductees could have been a wealth of data on the subject of abduction and lost time did not seem to be of interest to anyone in any form.

I am sure a great deal of it was due to the fact that my articles about their experiences were told as they related it which was in a logical truthful fashion. My articles were not filled with movie script type detailed colorful descriptions of amazing aliens and their crafts. I do not write horror or fantasy I write what really goes on which I feel is just too boring and black and white for the paranormal reader.

 Long ago the lines between good entertainment for fun and real research became so distorted in the subjects we consider unknown that truth , fiction, fraud and research became so convoluted that all real answers to real questions have been lost, Trying to work in this area using fact or truth without the color became impossible  or so confused that it is at the  point of being  impossible.

Real-time abduction is events that occur to people who are fully awake and alert who are going about the business of their normal daily routines who are suddenly abducted against their will.

These people suffer lost time and find they are returned often to a different place from where they were taken . They are ill , dazed and at times hurt. They can recall when the event starts but have little memory of what happens to them before they find themselves waking hours later.

 Some of the abductees have flashed memories of what took place during their abductions. Some return with knowledge or skills or thoughts they did not have before they were taken. Many suffer these events more than once during their life. All are somehow changed during the experience.

During my years of writing about these fascinating people, I promised them that I would answer without embellishment any questions giving the most truthful answers I could to the questions asked.

 It took courage for the abductees to allow me to write about them or to   questions concerning their experiences.  The fact that  not one person or group or organization ever wanted any information concerning their ordeals with these strange abductions  made these people recoil from reaching out and closed the door at my attempts at finding answers.

 Finally, after all of  these years, we have had someone ask a few questions about their abduction events. After a conversation with the abductees, it was decided that I could answer the handful of questions before I end my adventure of writing about this group of people I refer to as the Real Time Abductees.

Adding salt to the wound of rejection for the abductees is the fact that the questions were not even asked directly to me or them but came by way of an email of a third party who was corresponding with the  person who finally did ask a few questions about the abductees encounters. I found the questions to be thoughtful and decided as my last article on the subject of Real-Time Abduction to answer these questions, I know that there is a wealth of data being lost with these people however, I have tried my best to find an audience or place that could benefit and learn from them and have found only silence and disinterest in what they have to say or warn us about concerning their abduction encounters,

Below are the questions with the answers following each question:

Question :  What occurred during the abductions? 

Answer:  Nothing during this abduction of  the two sisters case as it was stopped ,however, during the battle to stop it both women were hurt as the article about the two sisters  explains. 
 Other abductees do have flash memories of what took place including the recall of multiple beings surrounding the abductee or bright lights making it difficult to see what is going on around them.

 The abductees I refer to as the Real Time Abductees have no clear memory of being examined or touched. All of the abductees agree that they have had their memory wiped clean of the events before they are returned. Some flashes of what took place do remain in a few of the abductees . Others feel their abductors wiped too much memory taking with it parts of their lifetime  memories  that they can no longer remember.

 Question :  What are the lingering health problems? 
Answer: 
This is a very lengthy list that includes many different problems for different people. I will give the overall problems they all share. 

The spine , neck and skeleton of the abductees all have been altered leaving them with issues from compression to actual breaks. Many have had large spurs grow in odd places that burrow into the surrounding muscle leaving them in constant pain Almost all have had to seek long-term medical help to deal with some form of spinal and bone issues. It has been common for an abductee to be told that they show that bones they never broke now show clear signs upon being x-rayed of having been broken.

There are cases when  a shoulder or large bone shows it was without question broken and  has healed poorly.

 Back fractures also are commonly found. One of the abductees was asked when they had the accident as both a bad shoulder and broken back were found that had healed in the past was found when they had  X-rays taken for a different health issue. Of course, the abductee never had an accident or broken bones that they knew of until X-rayed  This is a scenario that plays out often with abduction victims.

All of the abductees suffer from a flu-like sickness with a red raised rash on their back or chest that lasts for about two weeks after an abduction.  It can flare up at will during their lifetime for a few years after an abduction,

All the abductees have problems with light and cannot tolerate bright sun or bright lights of any kind including fluorescent lighting. All of the abductees require very dark sunglasses and sit in shaded areas as the bright sun both blinds them and causes their eyes to hurt.

Many of the abductees suffer from very large red rashes that come and go which are uncontrollable and painful. One abductee has a growing reptile like scale rash spreading across her body that does not respond to any treatment.

The abductees have issues that would be presented in those who have had problems with their adrenal , pituitary and thyroid functions. 

This is just a partial list of the problems they deal with, On the other side of the coin the abductees all have had their IQ increase and have been able to increase their skill sets with ease. 

The strangest thing they all share and cannot explain is that they return with new knowledge about something  they did not have before the abduction or with thoughts or visions of what will happen in the future that always prove to be true.


Question: What did the abductors look like?

Answer:
Since the abductees memory is always wiped or cleaned before they are returned it is very hard to  answer this question. The main combined agreed description by the abductees is  that their abductors are built or shown in a human form with one head , two arms and two legs. Some feel they are hairless with light skin while others feel they are covered in some type of skin or suit , They do not recall their faces or features. They do all agree that they have a bad odor similar to mold and sulfur. 


Question: What was inside the green light?

Answer:
Nothing but a large sweeping ray of green light that runs from a very hot area that can turn extremely cold in a second. It does have a vibration or hum to it. It is part of a tool used to scoop up their victims. 

  
Question: Is there a merge between supernatural and extraterrestrial, or is this a terrestrial demonic attack? 

Answer:
There seem to be ways that dimensions we have no knowledge of can intermingle when needed that we do not understand. It seems clear in the two sisters  case that the energy of  this woman’s departed family members was able to manifest in order to protect the woman from her abductor.

 No one  on this planet  understands how the dimensions work or how those who are part of them enter and exit our dimension that we live in.

 In this case, we see that all the things we do not understand  come into focus as a mix of dimensions clearly took place in front of the family in the two sisters abduction case. 

Obviously,  it is a simple case of our not being  able to understand the way the universe or how  the dimensions work.  The fact is  that they do know how to manipulate  and transport between them when needed. 

The sisters did not feel this was a demonic issue but one of her family warning the unknown creature or alien  that it needs to stop.

 The creature has not returned and for now, all abductions seem to have ended for the two sisters  family. 

Time will tell the answers to  all of  these questions as eventually we will learn how all of this works and we will be able to understand and handle our human dimension with intelligence, For now, we seem very content on remaining in the dark ages on many things we do not understand and label paranormal. It is, of course, all science we simply do not yet grasp. 

We received a question last year that was left on my voice mail from a man that I  will answer now too.

 The caller asked if any of the abductees were told to tell us anything by the aliens or asked the abductee any questions about being a human?

I did not answer this question at the time It was left as I had just finished and published an article on warnings given by the abductees 
All the abductees have returned with the impressions of  both natural and man-made disasters and world war impressed upon them . They also were given warnings concerning giving up our humanity so easily to technology which provides easy access to our control. I have written about all of those things repeatedly.

The interesting question the man left on the voice mail   was if the aliens had ever asked any of their human captives any questions.

 I thought about this and remembered an older man who had been taken many times during his life telling  me that he did have an encounter once with a very curious alien who did ask him via thought and images questions that he found very unusual.

 The interview with this abductee stuck out in my mind and I was able to locate the notes I took while talking with him. He was not comfortable with me writing his encounters and until now I  had nowhere to write about the part of his interview that discussed the alien questions.

The man told me the alien communicated by showing him visions or images or placed thoughts in his head. 

The first thing the alien asked was  by  showing him images or visions of large groups of people eating. Eating around tables , at fast food restaurants and just about every scene you could image of people eating lots of food.

 The next thing he was shown were images of people starving to death. All kinds of people from all over the world , many children. The images the abductee told me were heartbreaking and made him feel terrible when he  viewed them. 

The alien wanted to know why?  We have so much food yet some have it and waste it and others die from not having it.  The alien wanted to know why we do this?. He even placed images of rows of farming and piles of  freshly caught fish in the man’s head. Again the alien asked him why do humans fed some too much and starve others? The abductee told me his mind went blank as the only answer he had was that he did not know why we do this.

The older abductee also in the manner of thoughts and images or visions was asked why we have the technology but only a few humans are educated or advancing?

 He was shown an image of what looked like a science lab of some sort with a handful of people working in the lab, He was also shown  a huge movie screen with what looked like thousands of people cheering at zombies or monsters on the  movie screen. The alien did not understand why only a few are educated while the mass of the population does not advance which keeps our planet at a slow growth when it comes to science or advancement. The old man knew his captor thought of us as very primitive and ignorant.

 I know we think we are superior beings as we walk upon the earth with smartphones and techie gadgets hanging from our belts. The fact is that   only a few of us invent,  build and advance the planet is confusing to a being who obviously comes from a civilization far different and far more advanced than ours,
  Obviously, where he comes from everyone  is educated and  advances. Sad for the human race that we do not do the same.

The last questions the man was asked were very interesting to me and ones that really spoke to the fact that we are as strange to them as they are to us.

The alien asked the man why only two or even one human raise the children. He was shown a single mother and a family with four or five children sitting on a couch with their mother and father. The being that had abducted the old man wanted to know why only one or two adults raise the children.?

 Obviously, the alien does not come from a male /female type of union like we do on earth nor did he seem to understand the family unit as we know it. His confusion on this makes me believe his civilization does not form family units and must  raise their young in groups with many adults involved in the care of their young,

The  last question really gave me an idea of how our visitors view the human species .

The alien asked the older man why we are self-killing? At first, the man thought he was asking about war which we have as an ongoing  constant on this planet. The alien stopped this thought in the man’s head quickly and was able to communicate that they already knew we were an extremely violent species. The alien kept  repeating  self-killing.

The abductee was  then shown images of very overweight people eating large plates of food and a man smoking who was nearly invisible under a thick layer of smoke as well as what looked like homeless people laying on a city street. He was also shown images he did not understand but he got the message. Why did humans not take care of their human bodies?

The older abductee told me he tried to answer the questions to the best of his ability but could tell his captor remained confused and did not seem to understand what he was trying to convey to him.

The abductee mentioned a few times while telling me about  this event that the alien completely lacked any signs of emotion or understanding emotion. He recoiled if the man cried or yelled and if his fear got the better of him and he shook his fist in anger  or begged to be let  go.  The man told me that emotion  seemed to confuse or even frighten  and back off his captors.

I believe this lack of emotion is why the  two sisters were able to escape as well as other people who also displayed outbreaks of emotion that backed off their captors using the element of surprise by displaying something they simply do not understand.

I was happy to answer these questions in this last article about the Real Time Abductees  but realize that the overall interest in the subject of real time abduction does not exist  in the public or in the paranormal community. If it did I am sure we would have had over the years of sharing the real time abductees experiences more then the handful of questions I have answered in this article.

This will be the last article I write on abduction I  have other areas of the unknown I want to explore and will be giving my time to that. If I find things I think my readers will be interested in I will continue to share them on my blog.

 For now remain aware of your surroundings as one day you may find you are the one standing alone in the dead of night and find you are face to face with  a cold , emotionless strange being

It’s a comet! It’s an alien space ship! It’s an asteroid! It’s a space ship! It’s a weird comet! It’s a weird space ship! It’s a weird asteroid! It’s a (weird or otherwise) something else! It’s ‘Oumuamua, the interstellar space object that has mystified, enthralled and enraged astronomers, rocket scientists and the general public ever since it wagged its almost non-existent tail as made its turn around the sun and headed out to parts unknown before anyone could get a good look at it … which is just one of the problems that has caused the controversies and debates over what it is. The latest “this is what ‘Oumuamua REALLY is or isn’t” comes from the University of Maryland Department of Astronomy which contradicts all of those Giorgio Tsoukalos memes that say it’s definitely a spaceship. But do they know what it REALLY is?

“We have never seen anything like ‘Oumuamua in our solar system. It’s really a mystery still. But our preference is to stick with analogs we know, unless or until we find something unique. The alien spacecraft hypothesis is a fun idea, but our analysis suggests there is a whole host of natural phenomena that could explain it.”

In a report published in the current edition of the journal Nature Astronomy, Matthew Knight, an associate research scientist in the University of Maryland Department of Astronomy, reviewed all of the actual data collected up to and including the rear-end tracking that narrowed its origin down to one of four stars. Knight was one of the first to study ‘Oumuamua, co-authoring a study on its rotation and shape in December 2017 – just a few months after it was discovered.

“The alien-spacecraft camp threw the jets model out of the window.”

On his blog, co-author Sean Raymond lists the many “It’s aliens” arguments and attempts to scientifically debunk all of them. For example, it has comet-like outgassing which could both propel and spin it, but its small size makes it difficult to see. He also points out that we know so little about interstellar objects that ‘Oumuamua’s strange shape – which we still don’t know for sure if it’s cigar-like or maybe a weird pancake – could actually be pretty common. Nor do we know enough about how planets form to say many definitive things about how the ancillary space junk around them forms and how it might be kicked out of or escape from its solar system.

“We may start seeing a new object every year. That’s when we’ll start to know whether ‘Oumuamua is weird, or common. If we find 10 to 20 of these things and ‘Oumuamua still looks unusual, we’ll have to reexamine our explanations.”

Since we’re no longer getting new data from ‘Oumuamua, Knight is already looking to the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) to help spot future interstellar objects earlier and get better looks and more data on them. Sending a space probe to meet up with one is still pretty far out in the future.

So, we still don’t know for sure what ‘Oumuamua is. Does this new study convince you that it’s not an alien spaceship or probe?

There are 1,500 potentially active volcanoes on Earth, but lava lakes are much rarer. In fact, until recently, there were only seven known persistent lava lakes in the world. Scientists in the United Kingdom have discovered an eighth lava lake which is located inside of the active volcano Mount Michael which sits on the Sounders Island in the sub-Antarctic South Sandwich Islands.

While Mount Michael has been active for nearly 200 years, studying the volcano is pretty much impossible since the island is so remote, as well as the extremely challenging environment. “The island has been visited on numerous occasions, but no one has ever climbed the mountain,” stated geospatial analyst Peter Fretwell who is from the British Antarctic Survey (BAS).

He explained the challenging environment to BBC, “If you look at the imagery you can see why: the peak is surrounded by a huge snow-mushroom, extremely soft snow with an icing-sugar-like consistency, probably caused by the continual venting of steam by the volcano.” Researchers can’t walk on that type of snow, so they would have to dig through it, which would be extremely dangerous since it’s an active volcano. In the 1990s, satellites noticed thermal anomalies at Mount Michael, but they weren’t consistent with magma that overflowed from the volcano, and instead suggested that there was a lava lake hidden there. For comparison, lava pools are only temporary during times of volcanic eruptions, but lava lakes can last long after the eruption – sometimes up to 100 years.

The lava lake underneath Mount Michael is approximately 110 meters wide with the temperatures of the molten lava reaching as hot as 2,334 degrees Fahrenheit.

BAS geologist Alex Burton-Johnson explained how incredible this extremely rare discovery is, “Identifying the lava lake has improved our understanding of the volcanic activity and hazard on this remote island, and tells us more about these rare features,” adding, “And finally, it has helped us develop techniques to monitor volcanoes from space.” Their findings have been posted in the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research.
