First Ever Pleistocene-Era Pangolin Unearthed in Europe
First Ever Pleistocene-Era Pangolin Unearthed in Europe
The first ever pangolin in Europe dating back to the Pleistocene Epoch has been discovered. It is the youngest that has ever been found in addition to being acompletely new species.
A humerus bone was unearthed at a rich fossil deposit called Grăunceanu which is located in the Olteţ River Valley of Romania. Grăunceanu and additional sites in Olteţ have been the focus of an international team of researchers for about the last decade. The sites were revealed by landslides that occurred back in the 1960s. Some of the fossils found there over the years include a short-necked giraffe, large terrestrial monkey, saber-toothed cats, and rhinoceroses. And of course, this new pangolin species.
Pangolin
Detailed analysis of a humerus bone revealed that it belonged to a new pangolin species that has been named Smutsia olteniensis. It dates back between 2.2 and 1.9 million years ago during the Pleistocene Epoch. It was previously believed that pangolins left Europe around 10 million years ago during the middle part of the Miocene Epoch in order to travel to warmer climates. However, this new discovery has debunked that theory as pangolins were in fact still in Europe for many millions of years.
Claire Terhune, who is an associate professor of anthropology at the University of Arkansas, noted, “What’s especially exciting is that although some work in the 1930s suggested the presence of pangolins in Europe during the Pleistocene, those fossils had been lost, and other researchers doubted their validity,” adding, “Now we know for sure that pangolins were present in Europe around at least 2 million years ago.”
She went on to describe the bone, “It’s not a fancy fossil.” “It’s just a single bone, but it is a new species of a kind of a weird animal. We’re proud of it because the fossil record for pangolins is extremely sparse. This one happens to be the youngest pangolin ever discovered from Europe and the only pangolin fossil from Pleistocene Europe.” (A picture of the bone can be seen here.)

The now-extinct Smutsia olteniensis shared some similarities with modern members of the Smutsia genus that currently live in Africa. Modern pangolins inhabit Africa and Asia. They are described as being scaly anteaters that slightly resemble armadillos that inhabit in the southern part of the United States. Even though they are full of scales, they are not reptiles and are instead categorized as mammals with close relations to carnivores.

UFOs caught on tape over Port Orchard, Washington 2022
These 5 UFO lights were filmed hovering North of Seattle on 12th January 2022.
Witness report:
I am familiar with local flight patterns for planes arriving and departing so when I first saw these lights I immediately was puzzled because they were brighter than your average plane displaying landing lights and their formation wasn’t in the normal path of most other planes arriving from the north. Also, in relation to the silhouetted trees one would have expected the lights to move toward the south if they were indeed planes arriving in from the north. The only movements I witnessed over the 5 minutes that they appeared was them, one by one, drifting off to the west as their lights faded.
A legend among the Hopis states that there was once a great temple city of wisdom built by the Star People, the Kachinas. Many of the Hopi clans visited this city during their respective migrations throughout the Americas and later shared stories of it when all the clans reunited at their final destination on the Hopi Mesas. This mysterious city, known as Palatkwapi, the “Red House,” was where the Star People taught important rituals and secrets of the universe that are still enacted and honored by the clans.
Over the last one hundred years there has been much speculation regarding the location of Palatkwapi. An abundance of ethnographers have located Palatkwapi in the Sedona-Verde Valley region, but there have also been other academics who have placed it much further south. Most everyone agrees, however, that the City of the Star People was someplace south of the Hopi Mesas. One Hopi legend of the Patki or Water Clan recounted by ethnographer Alexander M. Stephen in Hopi Journey states: “...no one knows just where the Red Land is, but it is someplace in the far southwest [of Hopiland].” Distance is, of course, relative, especially when you are traveling by foot.
The striking red stone of Cathedral Rock, Sedona, Arizona.
Some researchers claim that Palatkwapi was Palenque in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, which is not to the southwest of Hopiland. Outside of having once possessed buildings painted red, this jungle city seems to contradict many of the known facts regarding the “Red House.” For example, one of the definitive Hopi legends regarding Palatkwapi maintains that the city was surrounded by “high walls,” and that the city’s name “seems to be derived from a high bluff of red stone.” There are no high bluffs of red stone in Palenque, nor was its temple compound completely destroyed by an ancient deluge. If there was a major deluge in the city’s past it is recorded in the “ Maya Flood Myth ,” which is, however, an astronomical event depicted on its temple walls. Moreover, Palatkwapi’s destruction began with the burning of the pine forest surrounding it and Palenque is in the middle of a sweltering tropical jungle consisting of cedar, mahogany, and sapodilla trees. And if Palatkwapi is linked to the Mayan city of Palenque simply because of the similarity between their names, let it be known that Palenque is not the city’s original name.
Its original Mayan name was Lakamha, meaning “Big Water.” Palenque is a Spanish name given it by the Conquistadors meaning “Fortified Place.” By contrast, Sedona and the Verde Valley possess almost all the characteristics that are ascribed to Palatkwapi, and this is why the most renowned Hopi historian and ethnographer, Jesse Walter Fewkes, conclusively identified it as the location of the ancient holy city. Fewkes was so convinced of his identification that he was prompted to name one of the most heavily petroglyph-adorned Hopi ruins in the Sedona area Palatki, which is a shortened version of Palatkwapi.
One difficulty in assigning a definite location for Palatkwapi are the many recorded land routes to it. This is the result of the various Hopi clans having arrived at the Red House via divergent pathways during their migrations. However, the routes taken by most of the clans when they left Palatkwapi and traveled north to the Hopi Mesas are very consistent and in many cases identical. It is this common route that has allowed ethnographers to definitively locate ancient Palatkwapi as the Sedona-Verde Valley area. In fact, this route still exists today and is known as the Palatkwapi Trail.
After closely studying the routes taken by 30 different clans after leaving Palatkwapi and traveling to the Hopi Mesas, Jesse Fewkes and other ethnographers synthesized a “universal route.” This universal route is fully delineated in The Fourth World of the Hopis by Harold Courlander. An abridged version of it, complete with northern Arizona place names, is presented below:
The clans that went north from Palatkwapi [Sedona-Verde Valley] stopped at one place and another, building winter villages, and then moving on. It is said that they settled at a place called Kunchalpi for some years. There they rested and grew their blue corn. Old people died and children were born, and thus in time there were many for whom Palatkwapi was only a word in the mouths of the grandfathers. But one night there was a bright shooting star in the northeastern sky, and it was taken as a sign that the migration should be resumed. So the people abandoned Kunchalpi and travelled again, drifting a little to the east, until they came to a site they named Hohokyam. There they settled again, planting their fields and resting from the journey. After many years they departed from Hohokyam and moved to another place, Neuvakwiotaka, which is now known as Chavez Pass, and there they remained for a long time. And later on, after many harvests at Neuvakwiotaka, they went on until they came to the little Colorado River near where the present town of Winslow stands. There they made a settlement that they called Homolovi, Small Mound, consisting of two villages, a larger one and a smaller one. The people of the Water and Sand Clans occupied the smaller village. Sharing the larger village were the Tobacco and Rabbit clans, the Sun Clan, and various others, including the Eagle, Hawk, Turkey, and Moon clans. After a time they were joined by the Badger Clan and a group called the Reed Clan….
After many moons the various clans at Homolovi were attacked by the Apaches, who also decided to move into the area and attacked the people in their fields and took away their crops. In order to protect themselves the clans then invoked the Twin Sons, Palöngawhoya and Pöqánghoya, who then met the Apaches on the battlefield. At first the Apaches laughed at the sight of the two boys, saying “Are there no men left in Homolovi?” Then the warrior brothers slung their heavy stones and killed some of the enemy, whereupon the laughing stopped. The Apaches shot some arrows, but Palöngawhoya and Pöqánghoya moved quickly this way and that and escaped the arrows. After that the Apaches rushed forward, and now each of the brothers took out a lightning arrow and shot it. The Arrows struck with a great flash and a thunderous noise. Many of the enemy lay dead or dying on the ground. Again the Apaches attacked, and again the warrior gods loosed their lightning arrows, and the ground was now covered with corpses. Those Apaches who were still alive fled from the field…
When it became time to resume their migration from Homolovi to the promised land, some of the clans decided to split off and travel north to the San Francisco Peaks and then to Wupatki, finally completing their journey at Oraibi in the Hopi Mesas. Meanwhile, the majority of the clans remained together, journeying first to Little Ruin Mound near Walpi, then to Awatovi, and finally to Oraibi.

Building Palatkwapi
….it was the Kachinas that built Palatkwapi.
As previously mentioned, although the destruction of Palatkwapi appears to coincide with the end of the Third World the period of its initial construction is nearly impossible to pin down.
If, for example, one subscribes to the time periods known as the Hopi Worlds (A “World” is a cycle of time. Historically, there have been Four Worlds) or the Dream Time of the Australian Aborigines, then Palatkwapi could have been constructed as recently as 10,000 years ago or as anciently as a million or more years ago. This is because the “Worlds” and “Dream Time” are very inexact time periods.
Drawings of Kachina dolls, from an 1894 anthropology book.
And then there is the question of how the city could have been constructed in the distant past. If the building of the ancient megalithic circles and temples occurred during the time the Hopis refer to as the First or Second Worlds - when humans had their crown chakra wide open and remained in continual communication with the Creator - their designs could have been spontaneously implanted by the Creator into the minds of their builders. The creative “Gods” could have also received some supernatural abilities to build the temples from the same source. While constructing the temples in Sedona these “Gods” would have also been assisted by the natural earth energies of the area. The amplifying vortexual power combined with the iron and crystal-infused particles would have first magnified the thought forms of the “Gods” and then magnetically united the Sedona sand into the solid formations delineated by the builders’ mental blueprints.
Kachina Dancers.
The extent records of Palatkwapi imply that its original builders were the Kachinas. They also reveal that the city’s initial construction preceded the Fourth World.
Some Fourth World construction (or reconstruction) is, however, said to have been overseen by the Kachinas and carried out by the Hopis and/or the members of other tribes residing at Palatkwapi. States Waters:
Under the supervision of the Kachinas, Palatkwapi was built in three sections. Completely surrounded by a high wall, the first section was reserved for ceremonial purposes; the second section, adjoining it, contained storage rooms for food; and the third section comprised the living quarters for the people of all clans. Underneath all three sections ran a river.
“The ceremonial section was the most important. There were no kivas then, as there are today, divided to accommodate initiates and ceremonial participants. Instead, there were two buildings, one for the initiates and one for ceremonial purposes. The ceremonial building was four stories high, terraced like the pueblos we see today. The main door opened to the east, and there were two smaller doors facing north and south.”
The Kachina.
On the first or ground floor the Kachina people taught the initiates the history and meaning of the three previous worlds and the purpose of the Fourth World to which man had emerged. On the second floor they taught the structure and functions of the human body and that the highest function of the mind was to understand how the great spirit worked within man. The spirits or Kachina people taught this so that the people would not become evil again and this Fourth World be destroyed like the first three.
In the third story initiates were taught the workings of nature and the uses of all kinds of plant life. Although the people were still relatively pure and there was little sickness, some evils would come, bringing resultant illnesses; and for each on there was a plant remedy for the people to remember.
The fourth story was smaller than the three below, making the ceremonial building resemble a pyramid. To this top level were admitted initiates of great conscience who had acquired a deep knowledge of the laws of nature. Here they were taught the workings of the planetary system, how the stars affected the climate, the crops, and man himself. Here too they learned about the “open door” on the top of their heads, how to keep it open, and so converse with their Creator.
(Note: The “open door” or Kopavi, that the Kachinas taught the Hopis about is known in the Hindu occult system as the Sahasrara or Crown Chakra that is situated at the top of the head.)

National Forest El Yunque (El Yunque National Forest), formerly known as the Caribbean National Forest, is a territory of more than 28,000 acres of dense tropical forests in the northeast of Puerto Rico.
It is the only rainforest in the US National Forestry System and the US Forest Service, as well as the largest rainforest in the Caribbean and the largest piece of public land in Puerto Rico.
The park is located around two mountains, one of which is also called El Yunque, which means “Anvil”, at 3,540 feet above sea level and is home to an incredibly diverse menagerie of flora and fauna, most of whose animals are found nowhere else on earth. and many of which are endangered.
This scenic spot is very popular with tourists, but it is also a place where reports of UFO sightings, unexplained disappearances, strange creatures wandering among the trees, Chupacabra sightings, cattle mutilations, the location of underground alien bases, and so on come with alarming regularity.
The Terrifiying Alien Attack In El Yunque National Forest
El Yunque National Forest is indeed one of the strangest places in all of Puerto Rico, and one of the most famous mysterious incidents happened here in 1973. In October, a group of nine people came here who dreamed of seeing UFOs, because in those days there were especially intense reports of UFO sightings in this part of Puerto Rico.
In addition, the inhabitants of the villages located near the forest, as in those days, began to complain again that someone mutilates and kills cows and goats. They blamed the notorious Chupacabra for this.
From the very beginning of the journey, its participants began to see something unusual and even surreal. First of all, as they walked past the mountain, they met three people who were descending from the mountain path. The three wore the same clothes and had nearly the same facial features.
It is possible that these were just three twin tourists, but when the participants of the hike greeted them, they did not seem to hear or see them, without uttering a word or raising their eyes, they passed the group and disappeared further along the path.
The group continued on their way and in the evening they set up camp on the side of the mountain, planning not to go to bed at night but watch the sky in the hope of seeing a UFO. It got dark quickly.
Suddenly, people sitting by the fire heard a loud rustle and crackling of branches in the bushes nearby. Since there are no large predators in Puerto Rico and very few large animals in principle, they decided that there might be another tourist in the bushes. They called out to him and did not receive an answer, and then the rustling and crackling subsided and it became very quiet, unusually quiet throughout the forest.
Several hours passed, but they did not see any UFOs and finally decided to disperse to the tents and fall asleep. And then they again heard a loud crack in the bushes, as if there was something large that was trying to get through the bushes to their camp.
Grabbing the lanterns, the members of the group illuminated the bushes and clearly saw five or six humanoid figures among the thickets, in crouching position, trying to surround them. People thought they were other tourists, but when the dark figures came closer, the flashlights illuminated the gray-skinned creatures.
The creatures had elongated ears, like elves, and had long claws on their hands.
The sight of these aliens frightened the group members so badly that several of them tried to escape from the camp. However, they were not allowed to do this, it turned out that the gray humanoids completely surrounded the camp and did not intend to release anyone outside of it.
The leader of the group, Heriberto Ramos, claimed that one of the creatures suddenly stared at him as if inviting him to contact. Ramos took this as a sign that he may want to communicate and therefore he came closer to the being. When he approached, he got a good look at his triangular head and “extraordinary eyes”. Ramos claimed he was able to get close enough to touch the creature with his hand.
The creature stared at him curiously, as if it was as startled by the sight of Ramos. That quiet calmness of his belied the dangerous-looking claws on his gnarled hands. For a moment, Ramos thought that something important was about to happen, that they would begin to communicate, but the creature continued to just look at him and be silent.
Meanwhile, other similar creatures roamed the camp among the surprised and frightened members of Ramos’s squad. Soon one person, either due to stress or under the influence of aliens, suddenly wandered into the forest like a zombie, in a state similar to a trance. Another man ran after him in an attempt to get him back but stopped when he saw a luminous egg-shaped object behind the trees.
This “egg” lay on the ground and it looked like it was the object that lured the person who had gone into the forest. Then other members of the Ramos squad also went into the forest and saw there two humanoids, who were holding another shimmering “egg” in their hands. Later, there were suggestions that the “eggs” were special devices that influenced the state of people and forced them to leave the camp in the forest at the whim of the aliens.
For the rest of the night, the hikers wandered through the woods around the camp in a state similar to or close to a trance. And when the sun rose, the aliens suddenly disappeared, finally leaving the tired and exhausted people alone.
When Ramos and his people came to their senses, they found that the ground around the trees was trampled with strange footprints, as if the creatures that walked here were very heavy. They managed to take several photographs of these footprints, and then they quickly packed up their things and left the forest as soon as possible.
Six months later, in May 1974, explorer Federico Alvarez went to the El Yunque forest along with several students from a local college. He had heard a lot about the aliens that Ramos’s group met here, and he was eager to see something similar too.
When Alvarez and the students were just approaching the forest in their car, they all saw a very tall humanoid figure that crossed the road right in front of their car and disappeared into the bushes. Alvarez immediately braked and then he and the students spent a long time heating through the bushes and forest in an attempt to catch up with this creature.
They found his tracks and walked along with them until the cliff, and then the tracks disappeared as if the creature had disappeared into thin air.
Then Alvarez and his guys set up camp near the observation tower and at night they decided to arrange there something like a homemade alarm from empty aluminum cans.
“And between one-thirty and one forty-five in the morning, the cans rattled,” – said Alvarez.
The students hesitantly descended from the tower’s observation deck and witnessed a disturbing sight: the cans moved by themselves, moved by an invisible force.
Some members of the group felt that things had gone far enough and wanted to leave the place immediately, but they were persuaded to stay for what promised to be another interesting night. And expectations were met. About 15 minutes later, a huge UFO appeared in the sky, floating out of the gap between two adjacent mountains.
The object remained stationary for five minutes in full view of the students before disappearing behind one of the mountains. The unknown ship no longer appeared.

Mysterious Stones With The Ability To Move, Grow, And Also Breed – These Strange Stones Are Located In Romania
Mysterious Stones With The Ability To Move, Grow, And Also Breed – These Strange Stones Are Located In Romania
Trovants are strange, growing, multiplying rocks that may be found in Romania.
Torvants are unusual, odd rocks not just because of their propensity to multiply, but also because they are primarily made up of a hard stone core and sand that creates a shell surrounding the core.
These rocks devour the rain’s minerals after each downpour. The minerals react with the chemicals in the stone, resulting in a reaction and pressure inside the stone.
The resulting pressure causes the rock to expand and proliferate from its core to its edges.
Torvants exhibit traits of both a plant and a rock, making it difficult to determine whether they should be categorized as a living or non-living creature. These developing stones are interesting to observe, touch, and use whether they are alive or not!
The high presence of different mineral salts beneath the stones’ shells, according to experts, causes the stones to expand in size. When the surface becomes moist, these chemicals begin to spread, putting pressure on the sand and causing the stone to “grow.”
For the time being, they are simply a famous tourist attraction in Romania that draws visitors year after year. Trovants Museum National Reserve was established in 2004 and is presently under UNESCO protection.
As of this writing, there have been twelve humans who know what it feels like to walk on the surface of Earth’s moon and experience lunar gravity – four are still alive to tell us about it. that total will hopefully change in a few years when one or more countries send humans back to the Moon. In the meantime, anyone (with the right credentials and security clearances, of course) can experience lunar gravity right here on Earth in China’s new artificial moon.
Living moon walker Buzz Aldrin
Wait a minute … didn’t China just make an artificial Sun?
You certainly are up on your artificial space bodies, Grasshopper. Less than two weeks ago, China’s EAST (Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak) nuclear fusion “artificial sun” reactor set a new world record by superheating a loop of plasma to temperatures five times hotter than the sun (158 million degrees Fahrenheit or 70 million degrees Celsius) for more than 17 minutes. While that certainly was impressive, it’s not as big of a challenge as eliminating gravity on Earth for long periods of time. That feat was accomplished by a team led by Li Ruilin from the China University of Mining and Technology in a lab in Xuzhou, in Jiangsu province that will soon be fully operational.
“(The simulator can make gravity “disappear” and “last as long as you want.”
The South China Morning Post reports that the mini Moon has an artificial lunar landscape made of rocks and dust of the same weight and density as the real thing. The mini Moon is housed in a room inside a vacuum chamber with two powerful magnets on opposite sides. The magnets generate a field inside the chamber that ‘lifts’ the room and the mini Moon to whatever gravity level is needed – Earth gravity, lunar gravity (one-sixth Earth gravity), no gravity or anything in-between. The mini Moon is in the lunar gravitational state for as long as needed – Li says creep-testing (a kind of stress test to measure how much strain or load an object can handle under pressure) can take several days.
OK, when can we non-astronauts go for a walk on the mini Moon?
Ah, there’s just one catch. The mini Moon measures just 60 cm (2 feet) in diameter – not nearly big enough for your feet … maybe the feet of tardigrade (which would probably make a better astronaut than you). (A functional drawing can be seen here.) But it’s a start and the South China Morning says the benefits even at such a small size are big.
Two feet? Dieting won’t help.
“According to Li, the moon simulator could also be used to test whether new technology such as 3D printing could be used to build structures on the lunar surface. It could help assess whether a permanent human settlement could be built there, including issues like how well the surface traps heat. Some experiments conducted in the simulated environment can also give us some important clues, such as where to look for water trapped under the surface.”
Yes, China’s Chang’e-5 lunar lander just found water on the surface of the Moon – the first time scientists have found on-site evidence of water on the lunar surface. However, the mini Moon will make it easier the second time.
If you’re worried that this puts China ahead in the race to build a base on the Moon … Li says the lunar gravity simulator will be open to researchers from around the world.
It would be nice to take up a collection to send those four living lunar astronauts there to witness lunar gravity one more time.
Over the years, numerous UFO-themed movies have been made; some good, some bad, and some right in the middle. There is, however, one particular UFO caper that definitely deserves to be turned into a big-bucks movie. As you will see now. The strange story of the alleged UFO crash at Aztec, New Mexico in March 1948 – and the recovery of a number of dead “little men” at the site – is a real hotbed of lies, disinformation, and shady characters. Most of those same characters were best avoided by those with dollars to spare. The tale was made infamous in the pages of Frank Scully’s 1950 blockbuster, Behind the Flying Saucers; it was a book which turned out to be a huge seller. Today, the Aztec affair is seen by some ufologists as Roswell’s “little brother.” As its “skeleton in the cupboard” might be a far more apt description, however. Many researchers of the UFO phenomenon dismiss the Aztec incident as nothing but a hoax; one which was perpetrated by a shady businessman/conman named Silas Newton. His far-less-than-shining FBI file can be accessed, right now, at the FBI’s website, The Vault. When it came to stories of aliens from faraway worlds, making money was always the goal for Newton. And the only goal. Along for the ride with Newton was Leo Gebauer. He was a quasi-scientist and the Igor to Newton’s ego-driven Dr. Frankenstein. There is, though, a very interesting and extremely odd aspect to the Newton/Aztec story. It serves to demonstrate how the UFO phenomenon was becoming the tool of manipulative disinformation specialists in the intelligence community. And not just of the Soviet Union. The United States was getting into the strange game, too.
Rumors of the alleged Aztec crash quickly reached the FBI. The Bureau’s files on Aztec are now in the public domain, thanks to the the terms of the United States’ Freedom of Information Act.
Back in 1998, the late Karl Pflock, ufologist and CIA employee (and sometimes at the very same same time…), was approached by a still-anonymous source who had something very interesting to say about the Aztec caper, and about Newton too. It was a decidedly weird series of revelations that Pflock surely never anticipated receiving. To his dying day, Pflock refused to reveal the name of his informant in the shadows – rumors, however, were that the person may have been a nephew of Silas Newton – but, Pflock did say that all of the lunchtime meetings with his source occurred between July 11 and September 24, 1998 and took place in a restaurant in Bernalillo, New Mexico. So the story goes, Pflock’s informant had in their hands twenty-seven pages taken, or rather torn, from an old and faded, lined journal. No prizes for guessing who that journal had belonged to. That’s right, sly, old Silas Newton. Pflock was told that Newton had kept journals and diaries not just for years, but for decades. They were jammed with entertaining tales of sexual conquests, of Hollywood starlets, of the fleecing of the rich and the gullible, and of wild adventures across the United States. The outcome of all this? Newton decided, around the turn of the 1970s, that it was right about time for him to write-up his version of the Aztec controversy. It would surely have been a definitive page-turner. Death, however, inconveniently intervened in 1972, when Newton passed away in his mid-eighties. What happened to all of those journals is anyone’s guess.
(Nick Redfern)
Aztec, New Mexico: the site of a crashed UFO? It very much depends on who you ask and you believe
As for those few pages that Pflock was allowed to see – and to transcribe word for word – they tell a tale of undeniable weirdness. By his own admittance, and a couple of years after the Aztec story surfaced in Frank Scully’s book, Newton was clandestinely visited by two representatives of “a highly secret U.S. Government entity,” as Pflock carefully and tactfully described it. Those same representatives of the government told Newton, in no uncertain terms, that they knew his Aztec story was a complete and bald-faced lie. Utter bullshit, in fact. Incredibly, though, they wanted Newton to keep telling the tale to just about anyone and everyone who would listen. This caused Pflock to ponder on an amazing possibility: “Did the U.S. Government or someone associated with it use Newton to discredit the idea of crashed flying saucers so a real captured saucer or saucers could be more easily kept under wraps?” Far more intriguing, though, and highly relevant to the theme of this book, is the next question that Pflock posed: “Was this actually nothing to do with real saucers but instead some sort of psychological warfare operation [italics mine]?” With the Newton revelations in hand, Pflock, no later than 1999, came to believe that back in the early fifties someone in the government, the intelligence community, or the military of the United States – and maybe even a swirling combination of all three – wanted the Aztec story further circulated. The purpose: as a means to try and convince the Russians that the U.S. military had acquired, or captured, alien technology. When, in reality, it had no such thing in its possession at all.

Aztec, New Mexico, a cool, atmospheric place
For the record, in 2002, when Pflock and I were corresponding regularly on the matter of these particularly curious revelations, he told me that he had been able to confirm who the two men that approached Newton worked for and specifically when their meeting with Newton occurred. The time-frame was late March 1950 and the pair of spooks came from a small group within the CIA. Slightly more than a year later, Pflock learned, that very same group was absorbed into the Psychological Strategy Board. Staff at the President Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum state of the PSB that it… “……was established by Presidential Directive on April 4, 1951 ‘to authorize and provide for the more effective planning, coordination, and conduct within the framework of approved national policies, of psychological operations.’ An abbreviated version of the Presidential Directive was released to the public on June 20, 1951. The PSB was composed of the Undersecretary of State, the Deputy Secretary of Defense and the Director of Central Intelligence, or their designated representatives. The founding Presidential Directive instructed the PSB to report to the National Security Council “on the Board’s activities on the evaluation of the national psychological operations, including implementation of approved objectives, policies, and programs by the departments and agencies concerned.”

SpaceX Falcon 9 booster completes tenth launch and landing in a year and a half
SpaceX Falcon 9 booster completes tenth launch and landing in a year and a half
Falcon 9 booster B1058 has successfully completed SpaceX’s Transporter-3 mission, acing its tenth orbital-class launch and landing in record time in the process.
The rocket lifted off as planned from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) Launch Complex 40 (LC-40) at 10:25 am EST (15:25 UTC), Thursday, January 13th with 105 small satellites in tow, marking SpaceX’s third dedicated Smallsat Rideshare Program launch since January 2021. Beginning in 2022, the company aims to conduct three such rideshare launches annually, operating Falcon 9 a bit like an orbital bus service with the capacity for hundreds of small satellites from virtually any person, institution, or company on Earth – all for the unprecedentedly low price of approximately $5,000 per kilogram.
As such, it’s no surprise that SpaceX’s Smallsat Rideshare Program has received as much demand as it has. While relatively insignificant in the scope of the rest of the company’s substantial launch and services revenue, SpaceX has now safely delivered 323 small satellites to orbit for 100+ customers with just three dedicated Transporter missions. As an example, that means that in less than 12 months, SpaceX has launched about three times as many small satellites as dedicated small satellite launch company Rocket Lab has launched in the last four years. It’s no surprise, then, that Rocket Lab has already announced plans to develop a far larger, more reusable rocket after just 20 successful Electron launches.
Meanwhile, as dozens of other startups work on similar small rockets that aim to launch around 500-1500 kg to low Earth orbit (LEO), SpaceX – who began its existence developing the much smaller Falcon 1 rocket – almost immediately abandoned small rockets to focus on the much larger Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy vehicles. Thanks to reusability, even a moderately loaded two-stage Falcon 9 with a flight-proven booster almost certainly costs SpaceX several times less per kilogram launched than a fully-loaded Falcon 1.
The booster that launched Transporter-3 is a perfect example. Depending on how one measures it, the launch likely cost SpaceX between $15M and $30M to deliver 105 satellites – likely weighing 3-4 tons total – to sun-synchronous orbit (SSO). SpaceX charges customers a fixed price of $1 million for a 200 kg (440 lb) slot on a Transporter mission, meaning that a 4-ton payload would theoretically net the company $20M. In comparison, in 2005, SpaceX was selling Falcon 1 – designed to launch 1 ton to LEO and ~450 kg to SSO – for the equivalent of around $8 million today. In other words, Falcon 1 customers would have paid about $18,000/kg versus $5,000/kg for a slot on a reusable Falcon 9.
B1058 has supported five Starlink launches.

B1058 debuted by safely sending two astronauts in orbit on SpaceX’s first crewed launch ever.
(SpaceX)
The kicker: Transporter-3 was Falcon 9 B1058’s tenth orbital-class launch in just 19 months, averaging one launch every 59 days. Technically, before a major downtick in SpaceX launch activity beginning in mid-2021, B1058 had actually managed eight launches in less than a year – one launch every ~45 days. Transporter-3 isn’t even its first dedicated rideshare mission – the same booster launched another 133 customer smallsats on Transporter-1 almost exactly a year ago. B1058 has also launched two astronauts, two Dragons, a South Korean geostationary communications satellite, and approximately 290 Starlink spacecraft, amounting to around 120 tons (~260,000 lb) of payload delivered to orbit in a year and half – roughly equivalent to an entire Saturn V launch to low Earth orbit for a tiny fraction of even the marginal cost of the giant Moon rocket.
SpaceX has plans for another two Transporter rideshare launches later this year. The company has as many as three more Falcon 9 launches scheduled for the second half of January, including Starlink 4-6 on January 17th and Italy’s CSG-2 Earth observation satellite on January 27th. Starlink 4-7 is expected to launch around the same time as CSG-2.

Wow this report just came in a minute ago. Back in Nov 26th an eyewitness was driving down the street in Beach Park, Illinois and witnesses a fleet of glowing UFOs pass over him. The objects made not sound and were small and round. He said they were heading toward Lake Michigan which is known for its incredibly deep and cold water. The same location that I believe holds an alien base below the lake floor. Many UFOs come and go from this lake, so it stands to reason...there is something of importance to aliens there...and what is more important than their base?

Guys, I was messing with Google Earth map when I found something strange. I found a buried location of an ancient alien structure. When I changed the time of the photos, an earlier photo reveals an airport runway freshly made, dozens of trailers, tractors and it looks like the mound was being excavated by scientists and military. I believe they found an ancient alien structure under the snow and ice.
Also I found the face of Jesus near the the excavation site. The face is that of a male with long hair, beard, mustache, long face, and a crown of thorns around his head. Not to mention that his eyes, nose chin and cheeks all clearly showing.
These two location are also close to a standing dark figure I found last year on the snowy mountains. It's the figure of huge bipedal being that could only be alien.
It can't be just a coincidence that all these pieces of evidence are so close to each other. I believe they are all related and build on the theory the ancient aliens once inhabited Antartica.
Oh, in the video, I didn't label the title Jesus face, and I didn't say Jesus, I wanted to ask the viewers who they thought it was. This way, we get a consensus on who's face it is. Not just my personal opinion. I ask people in the video to tell me in the comments below who the face is. And one more thing...Jesus was an alien who came to Earth to instill morals and rules to help a chaotic early humans rise to enlightenment.
Strange Messages From Flying Saucers: “We Just Cannot Understand Your Leaders”
Strange Messages From Flying Saucers: “We Just Cannot Understand Your Leaders”
An Air Force plane spiraled clumsily out of the sullen Argentine sky and crashed near Quilino in August 1957, setting the stage for one of the hundreds of strange UFO “contact” stories that have been going almost unnoticed in newspapers throughout the world for the past 20 years.
The Argentine Air Force dispatched three men to the site to guard the wreck until proper equipment could be mustered to haul it back to the base. On the evening of August 20, 1957, two of the men went into town for supplies while the third man lounged in their tent.Suddenly, according to his story, he heard an eerie high-pitched hum. He stepped outside of the tent and was astonished to see a huge, luminous metal disc hovering directly overhead. In horror, he reached for his pistol but could not draw it from the holster for some unknown reason, he claimed later.
Standing transfixed, tugging helplessly at his gun, the young man heard a soft voice coming from the humming object. It ad dressed him gently in his own language and told him not to be afraid. Then it went on to tell him that it was an interplanetary spacecraft and that a base for such craft had been installed in the nearby province of Salta (an area where UFO sightings have been re ported constantly for the past 15 years).
“We intend to help you,” the voice is supposed to have declared, “for the misuse of atomic energy threatens to destroy you.” The voice went on to say that very soon the rest of the world would know about flying saucers. Then the bushes and trees began to rustle and the craft shot straight up and disappeared. The young Argentinian was so upset by this experience that he reported, it in full to his commanding officer. The latter took him seriously and passed the story on to one of Argentina’s largest and most respected newspapers, Diario de Cordoba, which carried the full account two days later. Linguist Gordon Creighton later translated it and published it in England’s scholarly, “Flying Saucer Review.”
Is this story, and the many others like it, pure hogwash? Or is it possible that the unidentified flying objects are making contact with bewildered Earthlings? In spite of the noisy opposition of several “serious-minded, scientific” amateur UFO investigating groups, the contact stories continue to appear.
Like most flying saucer stories, they are rarely noticed by the press, and many of them contain such ludicrous details that they are easy to dismiss-until you realize that the same ludicrous details are popping up in Italy, Brazil, Sweden, Africa, the Soviet Un ion, the United States, and nearly every other country on Earth.Consider the tale told by movie actor Stuart Whitman, star of many films. According to Mr. Whitman, he was trapped in his 12th floor suite in a fashionable New York hotel during the big blackout of November 1965, when he heard “a sound like a whippoorwill” whistling outside his window. He looked out and saw two luminous disc-shaped objects, one blue, and the other orange. At least that’s what he later told Hollywood columnist Vernon Scott. Then he heard a voice which sounded as if it were coming from a loudspeaker.
“They said they were fearful of Earth,” Whitman explained, “because Earthlings were messing around with unknown quantities and might disrupt the balance of the universe or their planet…the blackout was just a little demonstration of their power and they could do a lot more with almost no effort. They said they could stop our whole planet from functioning.”
No one else in the crowded streets of darkened New York re ported seeing those objects and no one else apparently heard that loudspeaker. But Whitman sticks to his story. Why is anybody’s guess? He certainly doesn’t need publicity. At least not that kind of publicity.Senhor Helio Aguiar didn’t seem to be looking for publicity, either, when he spun his strange tale to Brazilian journalist Joao Martins in 1959. A 32-year-old statistician employed by a bank in Bahia, Brazil, Aguiar not only claimed to have received a message from a UFO, but he took a series of startling pictures to back up his story.
While riding a motorcycle near a place called Piata on April 24, 1959, Senhor Aguiar says he observed a silvery disc with a number of windows visible on the dome on top. The underside of this object bore three markings or symbols which were faintly visible in the originals of his pictures but, unfortunately, do not reproduce well.
Aguiar stopped his motorcycle, unlimbered his camera and took three quick shots as the object performed leisurely movements overhead. Then, according to Gordon Creighton’s translation of the photographer’s original testimony, “he began to feel a strange pressure in his brain, and a state of progressive confusion overtook him.
He felt vaguely as though he were being ordered by somebody to write something down. It was as though he was being ‘ hypnotized. As he was winding the film on before proceeding to take a fourth picture, he lost all sense of what was happening.”
The next thing Aguiar knew, he was slumped over his motorcycle and the UFO was gone. But clutched in his hand was a piece of pa per bearing a message in his own handwriting.
“Put an absolute stop to all atomic tests for warlike purposes,” the message warned. “The balance of the Universe is threatened. We shall remain vigilant and ready to intervene.”
These are only three of the many stories in which alleged “contactees” have claimed that they received messages explicitly stating that we should discontinue our atomic tests. Each of these re ports sounds like sheer fantasy by itself, but when you compare all those collected by patient ufologists the world over, many remark able consistencies come into view. Even more remarkable are the patterned inconsistencies. The un sung heroes in this narrative are the dedicated researchers who have faced ridicule for years while they soberly investigated and re corded each of these stories and searched for the underlying pat terns. The Aerial Phenomena Re search Organization (APRO ) in Tucson, Ariz., for example, has doggedly kept track of each obscure tale of UFO contact, as has Britain’s ”Flying Saucer Review” mentioned earlier. And now, at long last, many of the pieces of this fascinating jigsaw puzzle are be ginning to dovetail.
For one thing, it is now becoming clear that maybe these contacts did occur; that maybe the witnesses were not lying or hallucinating after all. Instead, it looks as they might have been lied to by the UFOnauts.
After all, if a flying saucer landed in your back yard and a man in a space suit. Got out and told you he was from Venus you would hardly argue the point with him. You would probably tell your friends and the press that “a flying saucer from Venus landed in my backyard.” They might not believe you-they would probably avoid you from that day on but you would have no reason to disbelieve your visitor. Or would you?
The UFO messengers have been feeding us information – and misinformation – for years. They have spread many a bold and barefaced lie, all of which were dutifully recorded by the “contactees.” Per haps these lies were deliberately passed on to witnesses who stumbled across the strange craft because the UFOnauts knew that when the lies were exposed the witnesses’ whole story would be discredited.
Since 1897 more than 2,500 con tact stories have been published and in recent years a handful of researchers have returned to old newspaper files to painstakingly survey and study this mass of data. Some of their findings are as incredible as the stories them selves.
During 1896-97 there were sightings all over the world of giant dirigible-like aircraft (this was be fore we had managed to get our own dirigibles aloft), and men like Dr. Jacques Vallee, Jerome Clark, and Lucius Farish have spent many a weary hour in musty libraries piecing together the hundreds of reports published in the newspapers of that period. Most astonishing of all, there were many “contacts” during that historic UFO “flap” and many of the de tails gibe uneasily with the modern contactee tales.
Some of those pioneer “contactees” were pretty impressive characters.Judge Lawrence A. Byrne of Texarkana, Ark., for example, was described as a man “who is known here for his truthfulness” by the Daily Texarkanian reporter who recounted his weird story in the April 25, 1897 edition of that journal.
“I was down on McKinney bayou Friday afternoon looking after the surveying of a tract of land,” the Judge is quoted as saying, “and in passing through a thicket to an open space, saw a strange-looking object anchored to the ground. On approaching I found it to be the ‘airship’ I have read so much about of late. It was manned by three men who spoke a foreign language, but judging from their looks, I would take them to be Japs. They saw my astonishment and beckoned me to follow them, and on complying, I was shown through the ship.”
The Judge went on to a “studied” description of the interior of the craft and attempted to explain machinery which he saw but could not quite understand: The interesting thing about his story is his description of the “Jap” pi lots-men of slight stature, dark skin, and Oriental features.Identical descriptions have cropped up again and again in the stories of other contactees throughout the world. Even the famous story of the “abduction” of Betty and Barney Hill includes similar descriptions.
Perhaps some of the flying saucers actually are operated by such beings.
In March and April of 1897 there were hundreds of other “air ship” stories from all parts of the country. But in December, 1896, one J. A Heron, an electrician in San Jose, Calif., told reporters that he was also taken aboard one of the craft and that “it rose very high in the air, and then went westward until it reached Honolulu.
Here it turned and sailed back to the starting point, the trip having been made during one night.” Mr. Heron’s story parallels the numerous modern contactee tales of brief trips aboard flying saucers which covered hundreds, or even thousands, of miles in a short span of time.
Large crowds in Chicago and Omaha viewed overflights of these craft in April 1897, and on April 15th one of the objects reportedly landed outside of Springfield, Ill. Two farmhands, Adolph Winkle and John Hulle, signed affidavits swearing that they had chatted with the occupants – two men and one woman. They were told that a full report would be given to the government “when Cuba is declared free.” (The Spanish American war over Cuba was then in the making.)
On April 22nd, a “well-known Iron Mountain railroad conductor” named Captain James Hooton told of encountering a grounded UFO near Homan, Ark. “There was a medium-sized man aboard,” Hooton told a scribe from the Arkansas Gazette, “and I noticed he was wearing smoked glasses. He was tinkering around what seemed to be the back end of the ship, and as I approached I was too dumbfounded to speak. He looked at me in surprise, and said : ‘Good day, sir, good day.’ I asked : ‘Is this the airship” and he replied : ‘Yes, sir,’ whereupon three or four other men came out of what was apparently the keel of the ship.”
Captain Hooton gave a detailed description of the craft and made a sketch of it for the Gazette. It was a cylindrical object with a windowed cabin below and a strange complex of movable vanes on top. Two law officers, Deputy Sheriff John Mclemore and Constable John J. Sumpter of Hot Springs, Ark., suffered a considerable amount of ridicule after they solemnly filed the following affidavit:
“While riding northwest from this city on the night of May 6, 1897, we noticed a brilliant light high in the heavens. Suddenly it disappeared and we said nothing about it, as we were looking for parties and did not want to make any noise. After riding four or five miles through the hills we again saw the light, which now appeared much nearer the earth. We stopped our horses and watched it coming down, until all at once it disappeared behind another hill. We rode on about half a mile further, when our horses refused to go further.
“About 100 yards distant we saw two persons moving around with lights. Drawing our Winchester for we were now thoroughly aroused by the importance of the situation we demanded: ‘Who is that, and what are you doing?’ A man with a long dark beard came forth with a lantern in his hand, and on being informed who we were proceeded to tell us that he and the others- a young man and a woman-were traveling throughout the country in an airship.
We could plainly distinguish the outlines of the vessel, which was cigar shaped and about 60 feet long, and looking just like the cuts that have appeared in the papers recently. It was dark and raining and the young man was filling a big sack with water about 30 yards away, and the woman was particular to keep back in the dark. She was holding an umbrella over her head. The man with the whiskers invited us to take a ride, saying that he could take us where it was not raining. We told him we believed we preferred to get wet.
“Asking the man why the brilliant light was turned on and off so much, he replied that the light was so powerful that it consumed a great deal of his motive power. He said he would like to stop off in Hot Springs for a few days and take the hot baths, but his time was limited and he could not. He said they were going to wind up at Nashville, Tenn., after thoroughly seeing the country. Being in a hurry, we left and upon our return, about 40 minutes later, nothing was to be seen. We did not hear or see the airship when it departed. (Signed) John J. Sumpter, Jr.
John Mclemore “Subscribed and sworn to before me this 8th day of May 1897.
“C. G. Bush, J.P.”
Were the two lawmen hallucinating? If so, then an Arkansas Senator named Harris was suffering from the same kind of pipe dreams. At l a.m. on the morning of April 21, 1897, Senator Harris claimed that the airship landed on his property near Harrisburg, Ark., and that he had caught the occupants drawing water from his well. He said that there were four people on board. Two young men, a woman, an elderly man with “a heavy set of dark, silken whiskers, which hung down near his waist… He had jet black eyes and a deep, firm expression.” Researcher Lucius Farish uncovered the complete ac count in the April 2 3, 1897, edition of the Harrisburg Modern News.
Another airship is supposed to have landed outside of Waterloo, Iowa, at 3: 50 a.m. on April 17th with a single man on board and, according to the Drew County Advocate of April 20th, “thousands of people are congregated about the strange visitor, and questioning the navigator .” There are no further details on that one, but the Nashville News of April 28th told of another landing which was “seen by one of our prominent citizens… There was said to be a most beautiful lady aboard the ship and the gentleman referred to is said to have conversed with her for a few moments.”
Several other contactees throughout the country contradicted each other by claiming that the UFO occupants had told them that the airship was the product of inventors based in several different sections of the nation. Either they were all lying or they had all been lied to. The fact remains: thousands of people did see something in the skies during those months and many photo graphs were taken. Scores of honest citizens carefully filled out and signed sworn affidavits about their sightings.
One of the most celebrated of these was a farmer named Alexander Hamilton of Vernon, Kans, who not only signed a statement testifying that he and his family had seen the airship at 10:30 p.m. on the night of April 19, 1897, but that it has stolen one of his cows in front of their eyes. Then Mr. Hamilton got 11 of his town’s most prominent citizens to sign an affidavit swearing to his fine reputation and truthfulness. Hamilton declared that the airship had a glass undercarriage “occupied by six of the strangest beings I ever saw. There were two men, a woman and three children. They were jabbering together but we could not understand a syllable they said.”
It is apparent that at least three different types of beings were operating these airships: normal people who looked like ourselves; the Oriental-looking characters allegedly seen by the Arkansas Judge and the strange indescribable entities seen by Alexander Hamilton and his family.
Modern contactees continue to report these same contradictions. Some describe tiny men in space-suits, others give elaborate details of tall bug-eyed giants, and still others tell of Oriental types and of tall, beautiful blondes. Many have described seeing women in the crews. Some have even claimed to have relations with these women (see SAGA, February 1967).
Dr. Carl Sagan, the Harvard astronomer who takes a skeptical position regarding the UFO phenomenon. recently wrote: “UFOs have been described variously as rapidly moving or hovering; disk-shaped, cigar-shaped, or ball-shaped ; moving silently or noisily; with fiery exhaust, with no exhaust whatever; accompanied by flashing lights, or uniformly glowing with a silvery cast. It is immediately clear that all UFOs do not share a common origin” [author’s italics].
We can ask, did UFOs from several different sources visit the Earth in 1897? When all of the hundreds of clippings of that period are reviewed it is obvious that more than a single “airship” was involved. They appeared over many areas all at approximately the same time, and if we can accept the descriptions of the many witnesses these “airships” were widely varied in size and construction, just as the modern “flying saucers” seem to be. And some of those “airships” appeared to linger for days or even weeks in the same vicinity, just as modern UFOs reportedly re turn night after night to the same spot for several days running.
Apparently the 1897 operation was carefully planned and skillfully executed. Some deliberate contacts were made and the contactees were given contradictory information to lend confusion and ridicule to the reports. If we are to believe these stories,’ then we must believe that the UFO pilots al ready knew a great deal about us, our languages, and our geography.
They were also keenly aware of the world situation at the moment and they never once led anyone to believe that they might be extraterrestrial. In fact, those newspapers which did not scoff at the flood of “airship” stories were convinced that some unknown “inventor” was behind the whole thing.
Several large dailies actually spent a lot of time and money trying to find out who that “inventor” was and how he had managed to build such a fantastic machine in secrecy. One group of contactees were told that the parts for the “airship” had been manufactured in different sections of the country and then assembled secretly in Boston or Iowa or California. You can take your pick.
Clearly, the UFOs of 1897 went through elaborate lengths to conceal the truth about their origin. They told many people many different things so, in the end, they really told us nothing.
Communications were still rather slow in those days and there was no organized attempt to keep tabs on the appearances of the “airship.” It was relatively easy to make everyone believe that only one craft was being used and that it was making a leisurely jaunt across the United States. And, most important, it was simple to convince all the “airship” witnesses that they were seeing nothing more than a remarkable new and secret invention.
The majority of amateur UFO buffs enthusiastically collect clippings about housewives seeing funny lights in the sky but sneer at all the contact stories chat come along. This author was vehemently anti-contactee when he first plunged into the UFO mystery.
Then a series of astounding discoveries were made which forced him to reconsider the whole contactee issue. First of all, there is an impressive number of relatively unknown and unpublicized Contactee stories; secondly, many of these contactees have revealed identical details over the years. If we are ever going to get to the bottom of this mystery, we must carefully consider all of these stones.
A common complaint among skeptics and self -styled “scientific ufologists” is: Why don’t they contact us? The startling truth is chat “they” have been contacting us frequently and over many centuries. It’s true, of course that they have never landed on the White House lawn or hovered over the Empire State Building. But they have done many things that were almost as dramatic and have gone almost unnoticed. If we can believe anything in this wealth of contactee material, they have also told us a great deal about ourselves-and about themselves.
The only reason there is a mystery to this UFO business at all is because the press has a negative atti¬tude toward contactee stories and some of the amateur UFO organizations have battled long and hard to keep these stories from gaining public or official recognition.
UFO occupants often pass along in formation about wars and crises crucial to the period. In 1897, the war in Cuba was mentioned. During the 1950’s, when everyone was digging bomb shelters in their backyards, contactees were warned about the danger of atomic war. In more recent years the UFO messages have taken an awesome new turn: Today they are warning us of an impending global disaster the end of the world!
Can we take this new wave of messages seriously? Or are we simply dealing with some kind of undefined global hysteria, a psychological phenomenon of some kind?
In his book, Flying Saucers-Serious Business , the late Frank Edwards dis cussed the huge flying saucer “flap” that overtook the Kazakhstan region in the Soviet Union in 1962: “Recently the Soviet government sent a veritable army into the villages and settlements in that area to try to ‘explain,’ ” Edwards quoted Soviet expert Paul Voronaeff as saying. “These flying saucers had resulted in a widespread religious revival and a return to God…the last thing the Communists wanted. The flying saucer phenomenon was being interpreted by the natives of that region as some sort of warnings by supernatural beings of an impending catastrophe the end of the world.”
New contactees from one end of this planet to the other are beginning to mutter unhappily about the, forth coming end. Last spring the same kind of hysteria was beginning to build up• in sections of West Virginia where UFO sightings were becoming fairly common place.
The problem of unidentified flying objects is so complex and confusing that many people cannot begin to cope with it. Those with a scientific turn of mind look for a simple answer in the widely-held view that these things are nothing more than vehicles piloted by intelligences from another planet. The devout turn to the Bible for explanations of what they have seen-or thought they saw.
Another thing that has puzzled ufologists is the dearth of UFO reports during rainy weather and heavy overcasts. A contactee in England may have in advertently learned the reason for this in 1957 if we are willing to believe his wild story of a ride in a flying saucer. His name” is James Cook of Runcorn, Cheshire and he insists that he saw a strange luminous object in the sky at 2:15 a.m. on the morning of September 7, 1957.
While he watched in fascination the object changed colors from blue to white, then blue again, and finally to a dark red. It settled to the ground only a few feet from him and, he claims, a voice addressed him, inviting him aboard. A ladder descended from the object and the voice instructed him: “]ump onto the ladder. Do not step onto it. The ground is damp.”
He obeyed and jumped onto the ladder and entered an empty chamber illuminated by a dazzling light from some unseen source. The voice then told him to take off his clothes and put on the plastic-like coveralls which were in the chamber. Again, he did as he was told. After he had changed his clothes he was asked to leave the craft and enter another one that had landed nearby.
There he found 20 people, all of them much taller than he was, and they took him for a ride into outer space. Their craft could not operate in damp weather, they allegedly explained to him, apparently because they were surrounded by some kind of electrified field. They also told him that the saucers were used only in the vicinity of the Earth and could not operate in outer space.
“The inhabitants of your planet will upset the balance if they persist in using force instead of harmony,” Cook claims he was told. “Warn them of the danger.”
“Nobody will listen to me,” he says he protested.
“Or anyone else either,” one of the “spacemen” snapped.
Cook was deposited several hours later in the very spot where he had been first picked up. He related his story to the authorities and then quietly returned to his garden in the English country side. Like the majority of all known contactees, he did not write any books or go on any lecture tours.
Miss Thelma Roberts of the “Flying Saucer Review” interviewed Mr. Cook and he showed her a burn on the back of his left hand and told her he had received it when he had left the saucer and had failed to remove his hand from the ladder’s railing before his feet touch ed the ground.
A lot of people have been believing such stories since the lace George Adamski came up with his tale of meeting a tall, blond Venusian on the desert near Mount Palomar in 1952. A lot more have, of course, laughed uproariously over such yarns.
Are these contactee stories the product of neurotics and psychopaths? The author has interviewed over a score of little-known contaccees in the last year and has discovered some bewildering patterns. Most of those people interviewed were men and women with very low IQs and very little education. Their imaginations were very limited and they had read no science-fiction. (Until recently UFO books and flying saucer literature was quite scarce and not generally available to such people anyway.)
Usually people in this group have an identity problem. They are nobody and they have absolutely no chance of ever becoming somebody. Often they lean toward belief in the occult and the pseudo-sciences in their search for self. They are, in short, highly gullible and a perfect set-up for any plan which promises to make them somebody. They are also ready to accept anything they might be told. They are not liars or fabricators but they are natural victims for those who are liars and fabricators.
If a flying saucer were to step one of these people, they would be apt to believe anything they were told. And because the “contact” would suddenly make them somebody in a world that hardly knew they existed, they would be eager to please and would willingly carry out any mission asked of them.
Furthermore, not many people would believe them when they told their incredible stories.
The patterns revealed in centuries of sightings and contacts certainly indicates that the UFOs do not want their presence known. So maybe when they required information about us, or had specific chores which necessarily had to be performed by terrestrials, they some how deliberately selected individuals in this unfortunate group.
Later, when such contactees went running to the press or appeared on radio and television, they merely made fools of themselves. No body believed them. Nobody would ever believe them. The UFOs and their secrets were safe.
Suppose some of these contactees were telling the truth and were not just fakes, phonies and publicity seekers? What kind of “truth” have they told us? In recent years we have been told that the saucers come from unknown planets named Clarion, Maser, Schare, Blaau, Tvthan, Korendor, Orion, Fowser, Masar, Zomdic, and a dozen other absurd places. There are also contactees .who talk freely about the people of Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn and the Moon.
Chances are excellent that the flying saucers do not come from any of these places, any more than the great “airships” of 1897 came from secret “inventors” in Nebraska. These names are plants, not planets. Whatever the UFOs are up co, they are doing it on a very large scale all over the Earth and it is inevitable that they should accidentally come into contact with some of us from time to time. When such contacts occur, they deliberately hand out ridiculous false information. It is time that we got wise to this simple psychological stunt.
They’ve been pulling it on us for centuries.
“They” have been buying time with our stupidity. To allay the possible suspicions of the believers, the UFO occupants have also been spreading messages of peace and many of the cultists refer to them happily as the “Brothers from Outer Space.” Let us remember that a Japanese Peace Mission was sitting in the waiting rooms in Washington while Japanese bombers were on their way to Pearl Harbor.
There is, however, another side to this coin. It could be possible that some of the groups involved in the UFO phenomenon are not allied. They might even be competing in some way. There might be “good guys” and ‘bad guys.” The “good guys” might be trying to warn us while the “bad guys” try to deceive us and set us up as the “patsies” in some cosmic chess game.
While wandering around the country side investigating UFO reports, the author has encountered still another type of contactee. These are truly “silent contactees”- ordinary people who have undergone such incredible experiences that they do not even tell their neighbors about them. They are hard to find, but once you have met one you can learn to spot the others.
They all tell the same story, for they have all under gone basically the same kind of adventure and none of their stories have ever been published. None of the important details are known, not even to the hard core UFO buffs who busily circulate mimeographed newsletters filled with rumor. These “silent contactees” are a separate phenomenon. There is no one they can turn to, for even when they do dare to approach the authorities they are laughed at.
For example, in a little Ohio town the author uncovered a strange case involving a professional woman who lived alone in a house on the outskirts. One night last fall she was walking home from work when a luminous object appeared above the trees and landed near her. Two medium-sized men got out and approached her. They wore luminous coverall garments but their faces were clearly visible and were dark and Oriental-like. She fainted and when she came to they were gone.
A few weeks later she was walking down a street in the town when she suddenly saw the same two men! She was sure of it-their faces were etched in her mind. They were wearing black caps and black jackets over their coveralls. For some reason, she had the feeling that they were evil and they terrified her. She ran into the local police station babbling that, “Two men from a flying saucer are walking down Main Street!” Naturally, the police laughed at her. Since then she has had a series of other frightening experiences but has prudently kept her mouth shut about them.
Like so many others, she is living in a state of constant fear and there is no one she can turn to. There may be thousands of “silent contactees” all over the world today. Thanks to the unending ridicule and disbelief that has been applied to such stories during the past 70 years, we may never hear of most of them. Others, a mere handful, make a frantic effort to tell somebody through anonymous letters to newspapers and anonymous phone calls to ufologists.
Here is such a letter. It may be pure crackpotism, then again it may be a sincere cry in the wilderness. It was published in New York’s East Village Other in May 1967.
“Dear EVO,
Please read this whole letter, without stopping, no matter now unusual or un believable it may seem to you. Every word written here is absolutely true, and our futures will depend on how you react to it… Today I have learned ( sic ) that there really are flying saucers, for I spent six hours circling the Earth at fantastic speed. I have seen and been in contact with actual living beings, somewhat similar to our own race, incidentally, who come from a solar system whose sun we have not yet seen, and who have been exploring the universe for over 300 years!
“They tell me that this is the forty-ninth planet on which they have found beings advanced enough to overcome the law of gravity, and therefore be on the threshold of space travel. But the most • important thing they tell me, the thing that is driving me out of my mind and forces me to write this letter, is that they are now trying to decide whether or not to destroy us!
“They say that every other race as technologically advanced as we are has long ago learned to live at peace with itself. They fear that we are going to carry our war-like ways into space with us and eventually embroil other parts of the galaxy in death and destruction! “Therefore, they say that we must achieve peace!”
It is an old message, one that was first heard in the days of the biblical prophets and perhaps it is the only true message the UFOs have to offer us. Desist or die. •1t has been said many times in many places to many people. A “silent contactee” in New Jersey recently told the author that a Bible-quoting UFOnaut had informed him that many attempts had been made to reach our heads of government, beginning back in 1939.
“We just cannot understand your leaders,” the UFO pilot is supposed to have said.
The problems are obvious: we now know that some of the UFO groups have been deliberately setting up a smoke screen of lies and deception. Who can we trust? How many of these stories are products of unbridled imagination? Where does the truth end and psychopathic fantasy begin? Perhaps we have performed a grave error in ridiculing and ignoring all contactees. Perhaps there is one man or woman, or one thousand out there who knows the truth – the whole truth about the UFO mystery-but is afraid to tell us.
Maybe we should start searching for that person or persons before it is too late. We will never learn any answers from newspaper clippings describing colored lights in the sky.
Data from China's Chang'E-5 lunar lander analyzed by an international team led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences shows that the robotic spacecraft has, for the first time, detected traces of water in the rocks and regolith on the Moon's surface.
The fifth lunar mission launched by China and its third lander mission, Chang'E-5 made history on December 17, 2020 when it's ascent stage and the mission's orbiter returned the first lunar samples to Earth since the Soviet Union's Luna 24 mission in 1976.
Though the mission was a success, the lander lacked a radio-thermonuclear unit to keep it warm through the -310 °F (-190 °C) 14-day lunar night during which its electronics froze and failed. However, the information gathered by the mission during the brief surface mission is still returning surprising dividends.
One of these involves something that is more valuable than gold when it comes to future lunar missions and the establishment of permanent human outposts: water. If a large supply of the wet stuff can be secured on the Moon, it will provide future missions with not only a source of drinking water, but also oxygen and hydrogen that can be used to produce air for breathing, rocket fuel, and the raw material for a staggering array of industrial processes.
So far, all of the water detected on the Moon has been from orbiting spacecraft using remote sensing to uncover water ice hiding in the permanent shadows of the lunar south polar region, but the new study that included scientists from the National Space Science Center of CAS, the University of Hawai′i at Mānoa, the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics of CAS, and Nanjing University has found the presence of water in the form of H₂O or OH hydroxyl molecules in the Northern Oceanus Procellarum basin much closer to the lunar equator.
The area where Chang'E-5 touched down is a lava plain that is made of some of the youngest mare basalts on the Moon. Using the lunar mineralogical spectrometer (LMS) onboard the lander, mission control carried out spectral analysis of light reflecting off the regolith on the surface and a rock in the vicinity of the lander.
According to the team, the heat coming off the lunar surface during the daytime would have overwhelmed the spectral records, but using a thermal correction model to correct the LMS spectra allowed the scientists to see the spectrographic signature of water, showing that the regolith holds less than 120 ppm of water, which is similar to the amount found in the samples returned to Earth by the mission. This isn't surprising, and what little water there is is probably the result of molecules brought to the Moon by the solar winds.
But on examining a light and vesicular rock, the instrument showed that it contained about 180 ppm of water. That might not seem like much, but because the rock may have come from an older layer of basalt beneath the lunar surface that was thrown out by a meteor impact, it may mean that there was an outgassing of water from the interior of the Moon sometime in the past that was trapped in the basalt. This means that there may be sources of water away from the poles, locked in rocks that could one day be tapped.
NAPLES, Fl. (WBBH) – We see all kinds of things in the sky, but one Naples man is perplexed by what he saw on Wednesday.
“They were kind of glowing and flickering a little bit,” said Matt Krauss.
It was Wednesday evening when he and his wife looked up. They didn’t see the moon, but instead a single bright light.
“New lights appeared near it and they got very, very bright at that point,” he said. “There were four of them and they kind of moved in different directions.”
According to Krauss, the lights didn’t make any sound and seemed to be hovering in place.
“What I can’t explain is why they were so bright, why they were stationary for, one of them was stationary for 15 minutes,” he said.
Southwest Florida International Airport shared if anything abnormal was going on. They deferred us to the FAA. The FAA says we’d have to ask the military.
However, the Naples Airport Authority says there wasn’t anything out of the ordinary on the radar that night, but noted it could be Chinese lanterns. Those are illegal within City of Naples limits.
Krauss doesn’t think so.
“The random movement is kind of what convinced me they weren’t something like Chinese lanterns that were being blown by the wind.”
Back on Naples beach, suspicion was in the air.
“I feel there’s something out there,” said Fran Williams.
“Looks a little suspicious,” added Bryce Renkiewicz.
But not everyone believes E.T. is taking a trip to Naples.
“People sighting UFOs, it’s usually some sort of military aircraft or something like that,” said Peter Agri. “I’d have to see it to believe it. Physically be there to see it.”
Could it really be something from outer space? One aviation expert says only 1% of sightings go unexplained, but he couldn’t rule out the fact that what Krauss saw could be from out of this world.
“It could be a number of different things, but I’m not ruling out that UFOs don’t exist,” said Pete Trabucco, a veteran pilot. “How arrogant do we think we are that we’re all by ourselves in this entire universe.”
Atmospheric anomalies, drones, or covert military ops are other possibilities.
“They probably are from outer space or from another location or from a place we are not aware of,” said Trabucco.
What we do know is that these lights are still unidentified flying objects.
And we’re back to asking the same question: what actually flew above Naples that night?
Very large space rocks that fly within 4.6 million miles (7.5 million kilometers) of Earth's solar orbit are known as potentially hazardous asteroids.
(Image credit: Mark Garlick/Science Photo Library/Getty Images)
An enormous asteroid more massive than two Empire State Buildings is heading our way, but unlike the so-called planet-killer comet in the recent movie "Don't Look Up," this space rock will zoom harmlessly past Earth.
The stony asteroid, known as (7482) 1994 PC1, will pass at its closest on Jan. 18 at 4:51 p.m. EST (2151 GMT), traveling at 43,754 mph (70,415 km/h) and hurtling past Earth at a distance of 0.01324 astronomical units — 1.2 million miles ( nearly 2 million kilometers), according to NASA JPL-Caltech's Solar System Dynamics (SSD).
That may sound like a safe distance — and it is! But by cosmic standards, it's close for such a large object. Asteroid (7482) 1994 PC1 measures about 3,609 feet (1,100 meters) long, and even though there's no danger of a collision with Earth, NASA classifies the asteroid as a potentially hazardous object. This term describes asteroids that measure over 460 feet (140 m) long and have orbits that carry them within 4.6 million miles (7.5 million km) of Earth's orbit around the sun, according to NASA's Asteroid Watch.
The approaching asteroid is also part of a larger category of space rocks known as near-Earth objects (NEOs), which pass within about 30 million miles (50 million km) of Earth's orbital path. NASA's NEO Observations Program finds, identifies and characterizes these objects; survey telescopes have found approximately 28,000 NEOs that measure at least 460 feet in diameter, and about 3,000 new sightings are added each year, according to the Center for Near Earth Object Studies (CNEOS)
"But as larger and more advanced survey telescopes turbocharge the search over the next few years, a rapid uptick in discoveries is expected," according to the CNEOS.
Once observers detect a near-Earth asteroid or comet, scientists analyze the object's orbit to assess how close it might come to Earth. Though many thousands of asteroids and comets are currently zipping around the solar system, the objects in the CNEOS' database pose no serious impact threats for the next 100 years or more, NASA says.
Astronomer Robert H. McNaught was the first to spot asteroid (7482) 1994 PC1, on Aug. 9, 1994. Other scientists then tracked its previous trips through our cosmic neighborhood by using McNaught's observations to calculate the asteroid's orbital path, speed and trajectory. They found that the asteroid orbits the sun once every 572 days, and they detected the visitor in telescope images going all the way back to 1974, according to EarthSky. And on Jan. 18, if visibility is good, the asteroid will be bright enough to be seen in a dark-sky location at night with a backyard telescope, EarthSky reported.
Close as the asteroid may be on Jan. 18, it came much closer on Jan. 17, 1933. That year, the space rock sailed past Earth at a distance of about 699,000 miles (1.1 million km), and it won't come that close to us again until 2105, according to SSD.
Astronomers refer to these worlds as "super-habitable" planets.
Scientists have identified as many as 24 super habitable planets in the galaxy that are much more suitable for life as we know it than Earth.
Our solar system is a very special place. The number one reason is that, as far as we are concerned, and pending validation of the discovery of potential alien microbes on Venus, only Earth is habitable. Life developed here and nowhere else in the solar system, or at least that’s the information we have to date.
Nonetheless, alien life could be far more widespread than we’ve initially thought, and the best places where it may exist could be Venus, Mars, and some of the moons orbiting Jupiter and Saturn.
However, confirming or rejecting that hypothesis is not so easy.
It is even more difficult to find out whether other star systems in the galaxy and the universe are home to life as we know it.
Although it is not possible for our current technology to take us within a lifetime to another star system, we can use space telescopes and ground-based telescopes to study the galaxy, the stars, and exoplanets within it.
These observations, studies, and measurements have recently revealed fascinating information; dozens of planets outside our solar system have been found to host more suitable conditions for life as we know it than Earth itself. A study has also found that there are stars in the universe that are much more suitable for allowing life to develop on planets orbiting them, compared to our sun.
All of this raises the hopes that alien life is common in the universe.
A study led by Washington State University (WSU) scientist Dirk Schulze-Makuch, recently published in the journal Astrobiology, details the characteristics of possible ‘super-habitable’ planets, including those that are older, slightly larger, slightly warmer, and possibly more humid compared to the Earth. It has been found that life as we know it could also thrive more easily on planets that revolve around slower-changing stars with a longer lifespan than our sun.
Astronomers have even found those types of planets. The top 24 contenders for super-habitable planets are located more than 100 light-years apart, but Schulze-Makuch said the study could help focus future observational campaigns, such as that of NASA’s James Webb space telescope, LUVIOR space observatory, and the PLATO space telescope of the European Space Agency towards their stars, in an effort to better understand what these worlds are like.
“We can distill a shortlist of 24 top contenders among the >4000 exoplanets known today that could be candidates for a super habitable planet. In fact, we argue that, with regard to the search for extrasolar life, potentially super habitable planets may deserve higher priority for follow-up observations than most Earth-like planets,” writesSchulze-Makuch,René Heller, and Edward Guinan in their paper published in Astrobiology.
The next generation of telescopes will help astronomers in identifying what the potential super habitable planets are like, and whether they really are such cosmic goldmines after all. However, Schulze-Makuch warns that although “we have to focus on certain planets that have the most promising conditions for complex life, we have to be careful to not get stuck looking for a second Earth because there could be planets that might be more suitable for life than ours.”
The new study saw Schulze-Makuch team up with fellow scientists René Heller, and Edward Guinan of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research and of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, respectively.
They worked on identifying potential super-habitability criteria which led them on a journey to analyze around 4,500 known exoplanets and look for potential candidates. The scientists combed through many star systems (from the Kepler Object of Interest Exoplanet Archive) and selected those that have the most probability of hosting terrestrial planets that orbit the star within the so-called habitable zone, where water can exist in a liquid state.
After going through many important characteristics, like the age of the stars, the type of star, and their energy output, they discovered a group of 24 planets that fit their criteria, although among the top 24 candidates none of them met all the criteria for super habitable planets.
The critical characteristics taken into consideration by the researchers include worlds that are between 5 billion and 8 billion years old, planets that are around 10% larger than Earth, and 1.5 times the Earth’s mass. Water is key, and the more of it the better as it will certainly help the exoplanet, especially if it comes in the form of moisture. A slightly greater overall temperature would also be nice, the researchers say. A mean surface temperature of approximately 2 degrees Celsius greater than Earth would be more suitable for life.
“It’s sometimes difficult to convey this principle of super habitable planets because we think we have the best planet,” explained Schulze-Makuch.
“We have a great number of complex and diverse life forms and many that can survive in extreme environments. It is good to have adaptable life, but that doesn’t mean that we have the best of everything.”
According to the researcher, only one exoplanet has all four of the “critical” characteristics which makes it far more comfortable for the development of life than our home planet.

Saucer Shaped UFO Sighting over Orangeburg, South Carolina on January 6, 2022
witness states:
Went out for a smoke and took pictures of the front yard, as I see frequent UFO activity and like to record proof. I have seen many UFOs that were far off but this was the first time anything has come so close. The craft came from the tree line pulsing multicolored lights. After a few seconds, two orbs came out of it and began to pulse/blink red. It was like they were trying to memos a large aircraft; however, I worked on C-17s in the Air Force and know that this no aircraft.
These crafts were moving slow towards the neighbors and disappeared in the trees. I went to the backyard and observed them descend down into the back woods behind the house (swamp land). You can see the red orbs change from vertical to horizontal close to the end of the video.

Watch this live space station footage taken today and you will see a close up of a huge sphere UFO rising up in earths orbit. It's not the moon. The moon is 5X bigger and bright. This object is much smaller, oval in shape and has some unique red/green colors to it. I and others have seen such UFOs orbiting Earths moon, but this event is a very rare one to see orbiting Earth. This UFO is several times bigger than the space station. Absolutely amazing catch and 100% proof that aliens are watching over Earth.

Here is a UFO that came very low and close to the eyewitnesses in Texas this week. The UFO was seen flying from some clouds and passed above them. The eyewitness describes it as flashy white and blue lights unlike any aircraft they have ever seen. They also said a plane was seen passing nearby, which I believed was sent to investigate the UFO. The craft rotates slowly as it moves over them, revealing a odd lumpy diamond shape to it. At times it even turns the color of the white clouds as if it were trying to camouflage itself. There is no doubt in my mind about this one...it is a UFO.

Eyewitness states:
We were driving when I saw some bright lights that were just so bright, I thought maybe a drone but after watching it clearly was not! We pulled over and watched as it just hovered then moved not like any aircraft there were lights that flashed white and blue so very bright and there was a plane with a trail at one point nothing like what we saw pictures do no justice to in person.
