Some interesting structures on Mars that NASA doesn't want you to see. UFO Sighting News.
Here is a buildings I discovered in one of the photos of Mars...the photos that USGS tried to hide by taking down their site, but returned the site after they saw me release the cache of photos for download to the public in an earlier post. Follow me on Twitter for up to the minute updates at @scottcwaring
Anyways, its not hard to find and there are a lot of structures in each photo. However I didn't have time to go though this entire photo, but only picked out the first ones I found. I added yellow color to make it easier to see, and included the uncolored version for you to compare.

Orb On Live Space Walk At Space Station, Jan 19, 2022, UFO Sighting News.
Date of sighting: January 19, 2022 Location of sighting: International Space Station
Source: ISS Live Cam
While the Russian astronauts were making repairs on the space station during a space walk on Jan 19th, something unexpected happened. A semi-transparent white orb move past the camera and within a meter of the astronaut himself, before moving away. The object was small, about the size of a baseball. This object an an intelligent...because it deliberately moved toward the astronaut, but didn't want to hit the person, only wanting to investigate closer what the astronaut was doing.
Now if you remember when I spoke to astronaut Leland Melvin on twitter back in 2018? He told me when he was on board the space station, he saw something...organic semi transparent looking out the window. I'll put a screenshot of that twitter conversation below. Anyway, Leland said it looked organic...living tissue! This object also looks similar...this object in the video at the space station is an organic creature...living in space!
Here is something to think about that no-one has ever mentioned. If China (CCP) really did plan the release of Covid-19 on purpose and this was all part of a bigger plan. Then China would have needed the head of the WHO to help them convince the world that it wasn't Chinas fault. So...this is the juicy part...China back in 2017 helped Tedros, a known head of the communist party in Ethiopia to secure his 5 year position in the WHO, on the condition that he helps convince the world to see China in a better light. Unbeknownst to Tedros...China was already planning the covid release back in 2017, but he thought it would be an easy road to travel with good pocket money from China...until covid was released in late 2019. Why else would China need the head of the World Health Organization in Chinas pocket? Also note the photo above...Tedros immediately met with the China Premier after he secured his WHO position.
This is only a theory, not definitive proof, however China has never been forthcoming about covid info from the start...and its up to the public to put the pieces of the puzzle together to find the true answers.
The USGS site returned back online and is no longer giving a 404 error code today. After I published a report about finding a 25km building in one of the photos, the USGS tried to prevent others from doing the same. However I downloaded all the pdf photos of the full mars map and released it to the public yesterday. Clearly they no longer saw a point to being down.
Carl Rogers once said, "the truth will set you free, but first it will hurt like hell." The USGS must be feeling it right now.
This Is Not An Alien UFO From Outer Space, This Is Actually a Top-Secret Anti-Gravity Plane Called TR-3B Original source https://news-intact.com/this-is-not-an-alien-ufo-from-outer-space-this-is-actually-a-top-secret-anti-gravity-plane-called-tr-3b/?fbcl
This Is Not An Alien UFO From Outer Space, This Is Actually a Top-Secret Anti-Gravity Plane Called TR-3B
In the instance of the TR-3B Black Manta, it refers to a craft that employs highly pressurized mercury propelled by nuclear energy to make plasma, which produces an anti-gravity field surrounding the craft.
Its motive power system has an electromagnetic coil, which produces an electromagnetic drive that interacts with the Higgs-Boson field at the quantum level. It’s all quite interesting!
So, instead of using a traditional turbine or rocket engine, an anti-gravity aircraft uses a propulsion system that generates thrust by creating high-energy plasma. ‘Flux liners’ is another name for these planes.
Anti-gravity technology, like many other diverse aviation technologies, may be traced back to the late stages and aftermath of World War II, notably the clandestine US initiative known as Operation Paperclip.
The goal of Operation Paperclip was for the United States to obtain as much leverage as possible over the Soviet Union in the military weapons technology race, which is why the operation was crammed to the rafters with Nazi-affiliated German experts.
That implies the United States has spent over 70 years researching anti-gravity technologies.
It is the culmination of ideas about gravity, quantum gravity, and general relativity, the latter of which was initially proposed by Albert Einstein himself.
Anti-gravity is of great interest to both the military and scientists because it is theoretically possible to lower an aircraft’s mass to zero by employing electromagnetic propulsion.
It’s no surprise that organizations like NASA, the US Air Force, and Lockheed Martin have all engaged in theoretical research into the potential to change inert mass.
The TR-3B Black Manta, according to analysts, would utilize conventional thrusters situated at the aircraft’s tips to allow it to conduct a dizzying amount of quick high-speed maneuvers.
Perfect right-angle turns and rapid acceleration are among the features available. And it could do so along with all three of its axes.
Remember, the TR-3B was built to be a stealthy subsonic surveillance plane.
For one thing, other than a minor humming sound, it’s a pretty quiet airplane. The TR-3B’s plasma has the unique side effect of dramatically lowering the aircraft’s radar signal, making it perfect for missions when stealth is critical.
As a result, the TR-3B Black Manta could fly into almost any country’s airspace without being noticed by its air traffic control or air defense systems.
This little black number has been linked to many sightings of flying triangular aircraft above Antelope Valley, a desert region in southern California popular with UFO enthusiasts.
Given its closeness to many known military research and testing facilities, this desert area of California also attracts those interested in clandestine black projects or “black operations aircraft projects.”
Edwards Air Force Base and USAF Plant 42, the latter of which is only 60 miles (97 kilometers) from Los Angeles.
In my perspective, the US Air Force should thank its fortunate stars for UFO enthusiasts and extraterrestrial spacecraft believers.
After all, as reported by Popular Mechanics, a lot of claims of so-called black triangle UFOs were most likely covert military aircraft.
The TR-3B Black Manta would undoubtedly be a standard black operations project for the United States Air Force and Navy.
The 1950s U2 espionage plane, the 1980s SR-71 jet, and today’s F-117A stealth craft are just three examples of planes that the US Air Force denied existed for years, all of which were originally secretly created at Nevada’s infamous Area 51 station.
Let’s not forget that Area 51 was only formally confirmed by the US government in June 2013, thanks to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request made eight years prior. Is it, however, real?
Of course, there are claims that the TR-3B was developed by the military utilizing reverse-engineered alien technology.
Even Forbes magazine speculated in 2021 that the patents granted to Salvatore Cezar Pais may be a cover for extraterrestrial technology obtained by the US military over the years.
So, how’s the TR-3B Black Manta doing? Is there a way to find out how far back it goes, if at all?
Is it connected to the aforementioned 2018 patent granted to Pais and the United States Navy?
Is it an aircraft, a bird, or even Superman himself?
No, it’s simply the US Air Force playing with our minds once more.
An exciting radio signal from outer space has been spotted by the Juno mission.
Less than a week after the Juno mission was officially re-extended for another 5 years, it has once again hit the headlines with a massive discovery. This time, however, it is not about Jupiter. The latest news are connected to the gas giant’s largest moon – Ganymede. As the report goes, Juno has intercepted an FM radio signal coming from the moon.
Having seen all the recent news about radio signals from space, can’t we, for once, hear a confirmation that it is of extraterrestrial origin and it actually means something? Unfortunately, this one from Ganymede will not be it either since NASA officials are convinced it is of natural essence.
If you need the scientific name, the signal was a “decametric radio emission” but we actually know it by its much more widespread name – Wi-Fi. The range of the frequency corresponds to that used by our Earthly signals.
FM Radio Signal
The radio signal from Ganymede lasted only 5 seconds but this is mainly due to the high speed at which Juno was passing. Credit: Louis et al. [2020]
The FM radio signal was detected when Juno was orbiting near Jupiter’s polar regions close to the magnetic field that connects with Ganymede. As for the actual source, scientists believe that it was caused by electrons that were oscillating slower than their normal rate. This process is called cyclotron maser instability.
It has long been known that radio waves exist on Jupiter but never before have such been intercepted from its moons. Although it is not of alien origin, the simple fact that it is the first such radio signal from Ganymede makes it no less significant.
Once again, Ganymede proves that it is one of the most mysterious objects in the Solar System. In the past decade, scientists have made several significant discoveries about the largest moon in our system that put it high on the scientific list of exploration targets.
Artist’s concept of Jupiter and its largest moon Ganymede. The moon’s auroral belts have also been illustrated in blue. Credit: NASA
For example, the Hubble Space Telescope spotted signs of an underground ocean, buried under more than 150 kilometers of ice. According to scientific estimates, this ocean could also be 10 times deeper than our oceans on Earth.
Then, in 2018, the Galileo Probe spacecraft discovered extremely powerful and unusual electromagnetic waves around Ganymede. Known as Chorus waves, such have been detected around the Earth but the ones around Ganymede surprised scientists with their power.
Anyhow, discoveries like this of the FM radio signal coming from Ganymede prove the importance of the Juno mission and why it should remain in operation for as long as it can. For now, the mission has been extended until 2025 or earlier if there is a systems failure.
Many similar missions have continued for many years after the original estimates and it is possible that Juno will continue to operate even after 2025.
In each case, the final day of the mission, whenever it comes, will be a huge loss for astronomy and science and it will take years until a similar mission could reach Jupiter’s orbit.
If you get an organ transplant from a pig, is it covered by medical or veterinary insurance? That may sound absurd, but the potential for this kind of question is real and it’s here. Barely a week after a genetically modified (to prevent rejection) pig’s heart was successfully transplanted into a living human who is still living with his beating porcine organ, doctors successfully transplanted two genetically modified pig kidneys into the donated body of a brain-dead human and they functioned normally until the experiment was terminated 77 hours later – a record set in just the second attempt at a pig-to-human kidney transplant. Let the ethical, medical, insurance and animal rights debates begin!
Do I get a say?
“Our study demonstrates that major barriers to human xenotransplantation have been surmounted, identifies where new knowledge is needed to optimize xenotransplantation outcomes in humans, and lays the foundation for the establishment of a novel preclinical human model for further study.”
Yes, this is a big deal — according to Jayme Locke, M.D., director of the Comprehensive Transplant Institute in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Surgery and lead surgeon for the study published in the American Journal of Transplantation. The FDA defines xenotransplantation as “any procedure that involves the transplantation, implantation or infusion into a human recipient of either (a) live cells, tissues, or organs from a nonhuman animal source, or (b) human body fluids, cells, tissues or organs that have had ex vivo contact with live nonhuman animal cells, tissues or organs.” In this case, the “clinical-grade” genetically modified pig kidneys (called UKidney™) came from the biotechnology company United Therapeutics Corporation’s subsidiary Revivicor, Inc.
The human recipient was Jim Parsons, a registered organ donor whose organs were not suitable for donation when he died at age 57, so his family agreed to allow his brain-dead body be kept functioning on a ventilator during the study.
“Jim would have wanted to save as many people as he could with his death, and if he knew he could potentially save thousands and thousands of people by doing this, he would have had no hesitation.”
Jim Parson’s family discussed his participation in a press release, which also stated that the wait for a donated kidney can be as long as 10 years in some states, and almost 5,000 people per year die waiting on a kidney transplant. This experiment showed that the modified genes in the pig kidneys prevented blood clots and other known immune reactions, and demonstrated that the pig kidney could have lasted even longer while withstanding the higher blood pressure of a human body.
While both this and the recent pig heart transplant are medically revolutionary and potentially lifesaving, that doesn’t preclude the ethical concerns. It was revealed a few days ago that the pig heart recipient was convicted in 1988 of stabbing a man seven times – the victim was paralyzed for life and died in 2007, while the organ recipient spent six years in prison. The religious concerns of creating potential hybrids or chimeras vary, while animal rights activists have long fought the idea of setting up animal organ farms. And, while we continue to suffer from and search for the cause of the COVID pandemic, the fear of viruses jumping from animals to humans via organ transplants is real – despite the meticulous preventative measures taken in this experiment.
The debate is a long way from over.
Are we ready for pig organ transplants? If not, can we stop it? Whose decision is it — science, the public or the profit-making hospitals and insurance companies?
Thanks to data collected by NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope, scientists were able to study a mysterious world known as XO-3b. But their analysis has left them with even more questions, such as whether XO-3b is even a planetor something else.
XO-3b is a gas giant that orbits an F-type star. It has a mass that is 7.29 times that of Jupiter, but has a radius that is only 1.41 times larger than our Solar System’s Gas Giant. It orbits its host star at an exceptionally close range of 0.04529 AU (one AU is the distance that Earth is to the sun).
A year on XO-3b lasts just three Earth days and during that time, it goes through two different seasons – a one-day summer and a two-day winter. In a recent news conference that was held by the American Astronomical Society, Lisa Dang, who is a Ph.D. candidate in astrophysics at McGill University in Canada, stated, “We saw seasonal temperature variations hundreds of times stronger than what we experience on Earth.”
(Not XO-3b)
Furthermore, the seasons on XO-3b are due to its oval orbit around its host star and the amount of radiation it gets. Since the planet and the star are so close to each other, the furthest part of XO-3b’s orbit continues to be brought closer to the star because of their gravitational interactions which causes the unusual orbit.
With that being said, it is believed that the planet has only been orbiting the star for a relatively short amount of time as Dang noted, “The oval shape that we see here on this very short-period planet suggests that we’re catching it in the middle of migrating.”
Another odd fact about the planet is that based on the detection of infrared light, it is much hotter than initially thought, which can’t be explained by the rapid and extreme seasons. Dang explained this further, “This extra heating that we saw with Spitzer isn’t seasonal, it’s seen throughout the year,” adding, “Our investigation of this hot Jupiter finds that it’s heated not only by the nearby planet star, but it’s also heated from the interior of the planet.” Additionally, it is “puffier” than expected.
(Not XO-3b)
As for why the planet has so much extra heat, it could be caused by tidal heating caused by the star’s gravity pulling at the planet, causing it to become deformed and stretched. Another option is that it might not even be a planet after all. It could be a brown dwarf (also known as a “failed star”) or “…it might be not necessarily a failed star yet, but at the peak of its lifetime as a star.” Whatever it is, it’s definitely unusual. (An artist’s impression of XO-3b can be seen here.)
An artist's depiction of the planet XO-3b on an eccentric orbit around its star.Planet XO-3b has an internal source of heat, possibly from tidal heating, which is caused by the squeezing of the planet’s interior by the gravity of its parent star. This could be increased by the planet’s slightly elliptical orbit (shown on the right), meaning it’s more oval-shaped than circular.

Curiosity rover finds 'tantalizing' signs of ancient Mars life
Curiosity rover finds 'tantalizing' signs of ancient Mars life
Mike Wall
NASA's Curiosity rover has found some interesting organic compounds on the Red Planet that could be signs of ancient Mars life, but it will take a lot more work to test that hypothesis.
NASA's Curiosity Mars rover used two different cameras to create this selfie in front of a rock outcrop named Mont Mercou, which stands 20 feet (6 meters) tall.
Some of the powdered rock samples that Curiosity has collected over the years contain organics rich in a type of carbon that here on Earth is associated with life, researchers report in a new study.
But Mars is very different from our world, and many Martian processes remain mysterious. So it's too early to know what generated the intriguing chemicals, study team members stressed.
"We're finding things on Mars that are tantalizingly interesting, but we would really need more evidence to say we've identified life," Paul Mahaffy, who served as the principal investigator of Curiosity's Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) chemistry lab until retiring from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, in December 2021, said in a statement. "So we're looking at what else could have caused the carbon signature we're seeing, if not life."
Curiosity landed inside Mars' 96-mile-wide (154 kilometers) Gale Crater in August 2012 on a mission to determine if the area could ever have supported microbial life. The rover team soon determined that Gale's floor was a potentially habitable environment billions of years ago, harboring a lake-and-stream system that likely persisted for millions of years at a time.
In the new study, which will be published Tuesday (Jan. 18) in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the research team looked at two dozen powdered rock samples that Curiosity collected with its percussive drill from a variety of locations between August 2012 and July 2021. The rover fed this material into SAM, which can identify and characterize organics — carbon-containing molecules that are the building blocks of life on Earth.
The scientists found that nearly half of these samples were enriched in carbon-12, the lighter of the two stable carbon isotopes, compared to previous measurements of Mars meteorites and the Martian atmosphere. (Isotopes are versions of an element that contain different numbers of neutrons in their atomic nuclei. Carbon-12 has six neutrons, and the far less abundant carbon-13 has seven.)
These high-carbon-12 samples came from five different locations within Gale Crater, all of which featured ancient surfaces that had been preserved well over the eons.
On Earth, organisms preferentially use carbon-12 for their metabolic processes, so enrichment in this isotope in ancient rock samples here is generally interpreted as a signal of biotic chemistry. But carbon cycles on Mars aren't understood nearly well enough to make similar assumptions for Red Planet finds, study team members said.
The researchers came up with three possible explanations for the intriguing carbon signal. The first involves Mars microbes producing methane, which was then converted into more complex organic molecules after interacting with ultraviolet (UV) light in the Red Planet air. These larger organics then fell back to the ground and were incorporated into the rocks that Curiosity sampled.
But similar reactions involving UV light and non-biological carbon dioxide, by far the most abundant gas in Mars' atmosphere, could have generated the result as well. It's also possible that the solar system drifted through a giant molecular cloud rich in carbon-12 long ago, the researchers said.
"All three explanations fit the data," study leader Christopher House, a Curiosity scientist based at Penn State University, said in the same statement. "We simply need more data to rule them in or out."
The new find is especially intriguing because of the carbon-12 enrichment, but Curiosity has detected organic compounds on Mars before. For example, the mission team previously reported the detection of organics in powdered rock samples. The six-wheeled robot has also driven through plumes of methane, the simplest organic molecule, on multiple occasions.
It's unclear what's producing Mars' gaseous methane or how old it is. For example, the compound may be generated by microbes busily metabolizing beneath the frigid Martian surface today. It could alternatively be produced by underground interactions of rock and hot water, with no life involved. It could also be ancient material, produced either by organisms or abiotically, that was trapped underground long ago and occasionally "burps" up onto the surface today.
The Curiosity team would love to drive through another methane plume and determine its carbon-12 content, exploring the origins of these organics further. But that would take a lot of luck, given that researchers cannot predict when and where such plumes will appear.
Further helpful data could also come from another Mars rover — Perseverance, a NASA robot that landed inside a different Red Planet crater in February 2021. Perseverance is hunting for signs of ancient Mars life and collecting dozens of samples that will be returned to Earth for analysis, possibly as early as 2031.

Glowing Objects Over Richland, Oregon, Google Map! UFO Sighting News.
Glowing Objects Over Richland, Oregon, Google Map! UFO Sighting News.
Date of discovery: January 20, 2022
Location of discovery: Richland, Oregon Google map coordinates: 44.737573°N 117.109588°W
Now this was reported just today by a woman living in Richland. She found three glowing objects moving over the mountain area on Google Earth map. So I had to make a video of it. She had only a screenshot. At first when I look at it, they almost look like birds, but the shape is where the similarity totally ends. You see they are glowing white with a rainbow aura coming out the back end...which is some kind of propulsion. I have seen birds in google earth, but never like this. This is not birds. They may be fighter jets flying in unison, but again, I've never seen this shape of fighter jet before. These really appear to be UFOs. I checked the photos before and after this time in the same area (watch video) and there is nothing, no buildings, no debris, no cars, planes nothing that would indicate it was just a reflection off the ground. These things were flying, they were big and they were moving fast and had something coming out the back. That is 100% alien technology. I bet there is an alien base nearby about 5-6km below the surface of this very hill they are on.

Wow, this just in 5 min ago! A guy was working at a park in Bullhead City when he noticed a strange light in the sky. The light came close and closer until we can almost see a metal disk with a glow at its center. He said in the video the UFO was over the Yucca Valley region...where he has heard about many reports of UFOs over the years. Fantastic sighting and amazing video. I just wish he drove over there to get a closer look, but as he stated, he was on the job at the time and you can't just take off anytime you feel like it when you are supporting a family. Wow, just wow!

I am an employee of Mohave County at Davis Camp county Park which is located in Bullhead city ,Az. Thed park is a camping facility and as I was making my rounds early morning,I observed a brilliant stationary light in the Clouds. Looking west towards the Needles or Yucca Az area I estimate the miles at 40- 50 miles away as the crow flies, I witnessed this brilliant light or large orb descending with brilliant light and appeared to be strobing and spinning. I grabbed my phone and proceeded to video tape the event.
Hey everyone. I managed to download all the photos of the Mars elevation set that the USGS/NASA tried to hide by taking down the whole website after the story got into world news 6X in 24 hours about the 25km building found in one of the photos. Each pdf photo is between 1.8 and 4MB in size.
To get the photos I found the cache (past memory) of the site and downloaded it from there. I believe I have all or at least most of the photos and I put them into a file. The only way you will find anything in the photos is if you follow my instructions in the video below or it may take you days or longer to do on your own.
1. open pdf on computer, then export as JPG format...make sure its set on maximum quality.
2. Change jpg to black and white.
3. Increase size of photo by 2X under size settings.
4. start editing in photo program. I use PhotoscapeX but any program you know well will work. I use deepening, focus, light, contrast and zoom.
Good luck, and remember to make a video of your discovery and post it on Youtube to share with the world, so we can learn together.

This eyewitness caught a glowing red orb over the UK last night. The orb moved around silently and had no other color of lights. No engines or sound was heard from the craft as it moved above him. The object was perfectly round and is huge. Strange how it hovers in place so long and then moves off. Darlington is a very old city with many buildings going back hundreds of years. It's an excellent location for aliens to study about how humans preserve older structures and appreciate the beauty and designs of long ago.

Another of what are considered the “classic” mass UFO sightings in the United States that have made their way into the lore and legends of UAP studies is the event that has come to be known as the St. Clair Triangle sighting of 2000 in southwestern Illinois. It’s also referred to as “the UFO Over Illinois,” the name of a television documentary released later the same year. Other shows and books have featured it prominently. Today The Debrief will look at the lore surrounding this event and compare it to the significant amount of original source data available.
We’ll begin with a brief summary of the details frequently seen in the ufology literature. The tale begins early in the morning on a frigid January 4th, 2000, in Highland, Illinois. 66-year-old miniature golf course owner Melvern Noll was stopping by his business to ensure the pipes hadn’t frozen. Upon exiting his building he saw a brightly lit object in the skies that he would go on to describe as looking like “a flying house with windows on the top and bottom.”
The stunned Noll quickly called the police to report what he had seen. The dispatcher he spoke to forwarded the information to Police Officer Ed Barton in Lebanon, Illinois. Barton initially responded skeptically, asking if the caller had been drunk, but went to investigate as instructed. Observing a bright light in the sky as he drove his cruiser, he closed in on the object before pulling over and exiting his vehicle. He would go on to report seeing a “huge” object in the sky that was triangular, longer than it was wide, with three white lights and one red light. It accelerated away at high speed to the southwest toward Shiloh, Illinois.
Shiloh Police Officer David Martin was on the lookout for the object and reported seeing something very similar before he too claimed that the slow-moving object sped off in the same direction at amazing speed. A third officer in Millstadt, Illinois, Craig Stevens, picked it up and reported it next. He even managed to snap a picture of it with a Polaroid camera. A fourth officer in Dupo, Illinois would later report seeing ‘something’ that might be related. Other civilian witnesses would chime in with their own accounts at later dates, but the object eventually disappeared after more than an hour of confirmed sightings.
Interestingly, musician Sufjan Stevens would go on to write a song about the event:
EXAMINING THE SOURCE DATA FOR MORE DETAILS
One of the larger challenges involved in examining any of these legendary sightings is how much “legend” winds up being inserted into popular reports over the years. Television documentaries and books supporting the extraterrestrial hypothesis (ETH) can tend to focus on the more exotic aspects of a report while downplaying or even ignoring inconvenient anomalies in the data. Similarly, skeptics and debunkers will tend to latch onto inconsistencies while failing to acknowledge some of the more credible evidence. Today The Debrief will look at both with a (hopefully) more critical eye.
Rather than being forced to rely on the potentially fading memories of witnesses or the video simulations provided by video producers, the St. Clair triangle UFO event offers substantial original evidence from the time of the sighting. This trove includes not only transcripts of conversations between dispatchers and police officers, but original recordings of radio traffic and interviews with witnesses conducted shortly after the sighting. These are included in an excellent 2014 documentary from an investigative reporter who collected and released all of the source material.
One of the first areas of evidence to examine is the collection of descriptions of the UFO as originally reported by the witnesses. Some do seem to be consistent while others demonstrate disparities that have been seized upon by skeptics.
Melvern Noll, the miniature golf course owner, described “a flying house with windows in the top and bottom.” This is starkly different than the descriptions offered by law enforcement officials. But it has been suggested that Noll only saw the object for moments with no forewarning at four in the morning in the freezing cold before rushing to contact the police.
THE TESTIMONY OF THE POLICE OFFICERS
Officer Ed Barton in Lebanon, Illinois, at 4:21 am, described a triangular object, “longer than it was wide.” Barton estimated the altitude of the object as being between 1,000 and 1,500 feet. He described seeing three white lights and one red light. The object suddenly sped away, going eight miles in three seconds in the direction of Shiloh, Illinois. It is worth noting that in the original radio traffic recording, Barton describes how he was reaching into the squad car to grab his microphone. When he emerged, the object was far away. He did not actually see it accelerate at exotic speeds.
Shiloh Officer David Martin offered a roughly similar description at 4:23 am. He described it as being an “arrow shape, triangular-shaped object… floating in this sky over this field… with three big bright lights, lighting up the entire sky just beneath the flying object.” He put the altitude at 1,000 to 1,500 feet before the object moved to the far end of the fields “in the snap of a finger, the wink of an eye.” He heard no sound from the object despite having the windows of his cruiser down.
At 4:39 am Millstadt Police Officer Craig Stevens reports that he has an object in sight. “It’s huge.” He describes it as an “arrowhead-shaped object.” Stevens describes the craft as having “three lights to the rear, one in the center and two to either side.” Stevens adds an additional detail, saying that it is “concaved in the rear” rather than a pure triangle. But he also says “in the concave section” there is a strobing white light going side to side. His drawing makes it clear it’s the rear of the craft, not the bottom. He further describes a “red blinking light” that is on the bottom. He estimates that the object is between 500 and 2,000 feet in altitude. The object then “banked” and headed toward Dupo, Illinois.
At that point, Stevens grabbed a Polaroid camera out of his car and took a picture as it flew away. That should have been the most compelling piece of evidence, but sadly it’s not a very good photograph, showing only some blurry lights against a dark background.
One of Officer Stevens’ original polaroid images depicting illuninations purportedly associated with the massive traingular craft he observed (Credit: Craig Stevens).
Perhaps significantly, Officer Stevens says that he could hear a “low frequency buzzing noise” that seemed to be related to the craft.
At 5:03 am the final purported sighting by a law enforcement official is recorded. Officer Matt Jany is located in Dupo, Illinois, and has been on the lookout for the craft after following the radio traffic generated by the previous sightings. He claims to have spotted the object, but reports that it is “pretty far off” and he was looking at it through binoculars. He thought the lights looked “pretty bright” but it was “hard to tell.”
Officer Stevens is still on the radio and reiterates that the object was “about 500 feet above me and it was huge.” Jany responds, saying that “it’s usually where planes are. It’s not low at all.”
This discrepancy in the perceived altitude ties in with Jany’s description of the lights, at one point mentioning a blinking green light. The other reports only mentioned white and red lights. Green blinking lights (along with red ones) are typical of commercial airliners and are required by the FAA. These factors have led many analysts to conclude that Officer Jany did not see the same craft the other officer described and instead was simply seeing a conventional aircraft flying over the area. This would not be unusual since Dupo is located between the international airports in St. Louis and Chicago and also not far from an Air Force base.
At that point, Jany reports that dispatch told him that Lambert Airport is on the phone saying there is nothing in the area on their radar. This was a reference to Lambert International Airport in St. Louis.
THE AIR FORCE CONNECTION AND RADAR DATA
Some analysts seeking explanations for this event have put forth suggestions that nearby Scott Air Force Base might be involved, launching either misidentified conventional craft or experimental classified aerial vehicles. This is where the source data becomes highly intriguing and may suggest a governmental or military coverup. Two conflicting descriptions of Scott Air Force Base have emerged in previous analyses. One theory describes the base as having a 24-hour, fully staffed control tower, but claims that it was not online due to “an unexplained suspension of operations.” The other says that it’s primarily a hospital base with a small airfield and had no operations at 4 am. The original sources suggest that both of these descriptions miss the mark.
In the documentary linked above, the St. Clair Police radio dispatcher claims to have called Scott Air Force Base and was told they could see nothing on the radar. But later, Scott AFB personnel told a reporter from the Lebanon Advertiser that “Scott Air Force Base has denied any knowledge of the sighting, reporting that it “no longer has radar on the field and that control tower personnel were not on duty at that hour.”
The information supplied to both the police and journalists by Scott Air Force Base is not only contradictory but highly suspicious, to say the least. Also, the claims about the base in previous documentaries are frequently inaccurate, leading to many justifiable questions. First of all, the idea that the base is a small medical facility with limited airfield capability is flatly wrong.
Scott Air Force base has been in continuous operation since shortly after World War 2. It’s true that they have an impressive medical facility there (the 375th Medical Group), including a fleet of Learjet C-21 twin turbofan-engine aircraft used for medical transport and evacuations which can take place at any hour of the day. They also host a fleet of KC-135 Stratotankers used for in-flight refueling of other aviation assets at any time. These massive planes require a sizable airfield. On top of that, Scott Air Force Base boasts a group of C-40 B/C transports that ferry dignitaries around the globe and are the size of Air Force 1.
The idea that a base such as Scott would have “removed their radar” or not had anyone manning the control tower is implausible in the extreme. So the answers provided to both police dispatchers and local media outlets seem dubious. The responses were also contradictory in two regards. If you had no radar, why would you bother staffing an air control tower? And why would they say they had “nothing on the radar” if there was no radar? The Debrief reached out to the Public Affairs Office of Scott Airfield for comment but received no answer prior to publication.
THE SKEPTICS HAVE THEIR SAY
Debunkers have made spirited attempts to shoot down this story, raising some interesting possibilities. The most common of these is that all of the witnesses actually misidentified a blimp. It’s true that the location of the sightings was not far from the base of the American Blimp Company, later bought out by the Van Wagner Airship Group. Blimps are large and very quiet, often equipped with a variety of different types and colors of lights for advertising purposes. Also, the top speed of these blimps is roughly 45 mph depending on the wind, so a blimp could have made it from Lebanon to Dupo in the one-hour and three-minute period when the live reports were recorded.
The main problem with this avenue of debunking is that it’s entirely speculative. As already noted, a blimp could have made that journey and displayed lights that would be considered unusual. Some have spoken with people in the airship industry who agree that it’s plausible. But investigators checked with the American Blimp Company and later Van Wagner and none was able to produce a record of a flight by one of those ships on that date, though one would imagine that all trips by such an expensive aircraft would be recorded.
Further, a blimp could have made the trip in the time allowed if it flew directly to Dupo. But the various witnesses described the craft as slowing, stopping, and changing directions. Also, unless we are to dismiss the testimony of the officers in Lebanon and Shiloh, the craft they observed not only hovered but shot away at a stunning velocity. Blimps are simply not capable of that type of behavior.
CONCLUSIONS
As we have discovered, there are complicated aspects to the St. Clair Triangle sighting, and the legends that have grown around it in books and television programs do not always match the record. For one thing, such shows frequently depicted the “classic” triangle, with one bright white light on each corner of the craft fixed to the bottom and a red light in the center. None of the witnesses described the lights in that fashion. And the original witness, Melvern Noll, described something that sounded entirely different, so some level of skepticism may be warranted.
With that said, the descriptions provided by all but one of the law enforcement witnesses (who likely saw a conventional aircraft) are similar enough in terms of its physical appearance and curious flight characteristics that they are difficult to ignore. Their stories remained unchanged over the years.
The baffling responses from Scott Air Force base do little to discredit the witnesses. While it seems unlikely that such a base would be home to highly classified, exotic aircraft programs, they should have been able to provide corroborating radar data or at least a confirmation that they recorded no targets in the subject area. It is not inconceivable that they had standing orders to never comment on anything UFO-related. This is a pattern the Air Force has adhered to ever since the days of Project Blue Book.
The poor quality of the photograph taken by Officer Stevens is disappointing to researchers, but the fact that it was taken at night on a dated Polaroid Instamatic pointing up at the night sky makes it understandable. Additional electronic data would make the case much stronger, but the inexplicable responses from Scott Air Force Base at least suggest that such may have existed at one point.
In conclusion, the viability of this case rests heavily on the credibility of multiple professional witnesses from different locations who would seem unlikely in the extreme to have cooked up a tale of this sort as a hoax. The lack of electronic signature data is disappointing but perhaps understandable as we already discussed. And the alternative options offered by skeptics do little to explain away the recorded, original observations as misidentified mundane phenomena. As with most of these famous, multiple-witness sightings, the final determination remains in the eye of the beholder. But the available source evidence is compelling and none of the alternate explanations are very satisfying.

Will aliens invade our planet this year? A surprising 14% of people say yes. A new survey conducted by Ipsos asked more than 22,000 adults in 33 different countries what their predictions are for 2022 and the results are quite interesting to say the least.
The majority of people have high hopes for this year as 77% of those surveyed said that they are optimistic 2022 will be better for them than 2021 was, while 61% of people believe the global economy will be stronger than last year. As for 2021, 77% of people said that it was a bad year for their country, and 58% admitted that it wasn’t a good year for them or their family.
In regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, a little more than half of those polled (56%) believe that at least 80% of the world’s population will get at least one vaccine this year.
When asked if there will be more extreme weather in their country this year compared to 2021, 60% said yes. A surprising 45% of those polled believe that less people will choose to fly compared to 2019.
As for society getting back to a somewhat state of normalcy, 71% of people say that their city centers will become busy again as more people will get back to working in their offices on a more permanent basis. On the other hand, a rather small percentage of those surveyed (28%) believe that people in their country will become more tolerant of each other – this percentage included a whopping 83% of people living in China, but only 9% of those in France.
A little more than 40% of people surveyed have confidence that the stock market will be stable this year; although there is a lot of worry regarding rising prices with 75% of people thinking that the prices will increase faster than their income.
As for aliens invading our planet, 14% of pollsters believe that will happen – interestingly, that percentage includes nearly a third of those living in India. While that may be a surprising percentage, it is quite low compared to other scary events – 39% think that a natural disaster will affect a major city in their country; 38% say that foreign government hackers will cause a global IT shutdown; 34% believe nuclear weapons will be used in a conflict somewhere in the world; 27% say that a rogue artificial intelligence program won’t be able to be shut down; and 16% think an asteroid will hit our planet.
All in all, people are remaining optimistic that 2022 will be a better year than 2021, with a stronger global economy and more people getting vaccinated. But there are some concerns as well, such as rising prices and more extreme weather events. Not to mention aliens invading our planet.
The great distances covered by visiting "aliens" may be ones of time rather than space, a recent book argues.
Close encounters with our future selves?
Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have captured the public's attention over the decades. As exoplanet detection is on the rise, why not consider that star-hopping visitors from afar might be buzzing through our friendly skies by taking an interstellar off-ramp to Earth?
On the other hand, could those piloting UFOs be us — our future progeny that have mastered the landscape of time and space? Perhaps those reports of people coming into contact with strange beings represent our distant human descendants, returning from the future to study us in their own evolutionary past.
The book was written by Michael Masters, a professor of biological anthropology at Montana Technological University in Butte. Masters thinks that – given the accelerating pace of change in science, technology, and engineering – it is likely that humans of the distant future could develop the knowledge and machinery necessary to return to the past.
The objective of the book, Masters said, is to spur a new and more informed discussion among believers and skeptics alike.
"I took a multidisciplinary approach in order to try and understand the oddities of this phenomenon," Masters told Space.com. "Our job as scientists is to be asking big questions and try to find answers to unknown questions. There's something going on here, and we should be having a conversation about this. We should be at the forefront of trying to find out what it is."
Human evolution
Dubbing these purported visitors "extratempestrials," Masters notes that close-encounter accounts typically describe UFO tenants as bipedal, hairless, human-like beings with large brains, large eyes, small noses and small mouths. Further, the creatures are often said to have the ability to communicate with us in our own languages and possess technology advanced beyond, but clearly built upon, today's technological prowess.
Masters believes that through a comprehensive analysis of consistent patterns of long-term biocultural change throughout human evolution — as well as recent advances in our understanding of time and time travel — we may begin to consider this future possibility in the context of a currently unexplained phenomenon.
"The book ties together those known aspects of our evolutionary history with what is still an unproven, unverified aspect of UFOs and aliens," he sai
But why not argue that ET is actually a traveler from across the vastness of space, from a distant planet? Wouldn't that be a simpler answer?
"I would argue it's the opposite," Masters responded. "We know we're here. We know humans exist. We know that we've had a long evolutionary history on this planet. And we know our technology is going to be more advanced in the future. I think the simplest explanation, innately, is that it is us. I'm just trying to offer what is likely the most parsimonious explanation."

Archaeological tourism
As an anthropologist who has worked on and directed numerous archaeological digs in Africa, France and throughout the United States, Masters observes that it is easy to conceptualize just how much more could be learned about our own evolutionary history if we currently possessed the technology to visit past periods of time.
"The alleged abduction accounts are mostly scientific in nature. It's probably future anthropologists, historians, linguists that are coming back to get information in a way that we currently can't without access to that technology," Masters said.
"That said, I do think that some component of it is also tourism," he added. "Undoubtedly in the future, there are those that will pay a lot of money to have the opportunity to go back and observe their favorite period in history. Some of the most popular tourist sites are the pyramids of Giza and Machu Picchu in Peru … old and prehistoric sites."
Masters calls his UFO research "an evolving project."
"There's certainly still missing pieces of the puzzle," he said. "There are aspects of time that we don't yet understand. Wanted is a theory of quantum gravity, and we can meld general relativity and quantum mechanics. I'm just trying to put forth the best model I can based on current scientific knowledge. Hopefully, over time, we can continue to build on this."
Solve this mystery
"Masters postulates that using a multidisciplinary scientific approach to the UFO phenomenon will be what it takes to solve this mystery once and for all, and I couldn't agree more," said Jan Harzan, executive director of the nonprofit Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
"The premise that UFOs are us from the future is one of many possibilities that MUFON is exploring to explain the UFO phenomenon. All we know for sure is that we are not alone," Harzan added. "Now the question becomes, 'Who are they?' And Masters makes a great case for the time-traveler hypothesis."
Tic-Tac-shaped objects were recently reported zipping through the sky by jet-fighter pilots and radar operators. The Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) was created to research and investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), including numerous videos of reported encounters, three of which were released to the public in 2017. 'Highly dubious claim'
But not everybody is on board with the idea, as you might imagine.
"There is nothing in this book to take seriously, as it depends on the belief that 'time travel' is not only possible, but real," said Robert Sheaffer, a noted UFO skeptic.
Supposedly our distant descendants have mastered time travel, Sheaffer said, and have traveled back in time to visit us. "So, according to Masters, you just spin something fast enough and it will begin to warp space, and even send stuff backwards in time. This is a highly dubious claim," he said.
Moreover, Sheaffer said that Masters tries to deduce aliens' evolutionary history from witness descriptions, "suggesting that he takes such accounts far too literally."
David Darling is a British astronomer and science writer who has authored books on a sweeping array of topics – from gravity, Zen physics and astrobiology to teleportation and extraterrestrial life.
"I've often thought that if some UFOs are 'alien' craft, it's just as reasonable to suppose that they might be time machines from our own future than that they're spacecraft from other stars," Darling told Space.com. "The problem is the 'if.'
Darling said that, while some aerial phenomena have eluded easy identification, one of the least likely explanations, it seems to him, is that they're artificial and not of this world.
"Outside of the popular mythos of flying saucers and archetypal, big-brained aliens, there's precious little credible evidence that they exist," Darling said. "So, my issue with the book is not the ingenuity of its thesis, but the fact that there's really no need for such a thesis in the first place."

Exotic physics?
Larry Lemke, a retired NASA aerospace engineer with an interest in the UFO phenomenon, finds the prospect of time-travelling visitors from the future intriguing
"The one thing that has become clear over the decades of sightings, if you believe the reports, is that these objects don't seem to be obeying the usual laws of aerodynamics and Newtonian mechanics," Lemke said, referring to the relationship, in the natural world, between force, mass and motion.
Toss in for good measure Einstein's theory of general relativity and its consequences, like wormholes and black holes, along with other exotic physics ideas such as the Alcubierre warp-drive bubble.
"There's a group of thinkers in the field of UFOs that point out that phenomena reported around some UFOs do, in fact, look exactly like general relativity effects," Lemke said. Missing time is a very common one."
Lemke said that the idea that somebody has figured out how to manipulate space-time, on a local scale with a low-energy approach, would explain a lot of things across the UFO phenomenon, including those baffling Tic-Tac-shaped objects recently reported by jet-fighter pilots and radar operators.
"No matter how much knowledge we have, how much we think we know, there's always some frontier beyond," he said. "And to understand that frontier is getting more and more esoteric."
