Mysterious Lights Hover Over Las Vegas Valley: A Closer Look at the Phenomenon
Mysterious Lights Hover Over Las Vegas Valley: A Closer Look at the Phenomenon
Las Vegas, a city well-known for its bright lights and bustling atmosphere, recently experienced a different kind of light show. Mysterious lights were spotted hovering in the night sky over the Las Vegas Valley, leaving locals and experts alike puzzled. While some speculate that the lights could be traced to parachute flares or aviation training, official sources have dismissed these possibilities. This article delves into the enigmatic event and explores possible explanations for the unusual display.
The Sightings
Las Vegas residents were surprised to witness an eerie spectacle on a recent night when a series of lights appeared in the sky, hovering over the valley. The lights were described as being much bigger and brighter than typical tourist helicopters, which are a common sight around the city. The witness who filmed the event and requested anonymity stated that the lights were visible for about five minutes before they vanished without a trace.
Local news outlet CBS 8 News NOW Las Vegas initially speculated that the lights could be related to parachute flares or aviation training exercises. However, this theory was quickly debunked. When contacted, a spokesperson from Nellis Air Force Base confirmed that there was no training conducted over the valley on the night in question. Additionally, a spokesperson from Harry Reid International Airport reported that air traffic controllers were unaware of any activity that could have produced the line of lights in the sky.
The Area’s History
It is worth noting that the mysterious lights appeared in an area known for its association with top-secret American weapons development. This has led some to wonder if the lights could be connected to experimental aircraft or military technology. However, no concrete evidence has been provided to support this claim, leaving the true nature of the lights shrouded in mystery.
Possible Explanations
With military and aviation training explanations ruled out, other theories have been put forward to explain the strange phenomenon. Some speculate that the lights could be attributed to drones or remote-controlled aircraft, while others suggest that atmospheric conditions might have caused light reflections or optical illusions. However, these theories remain unconfirmed, and the mystery surrounding the lights continues to captivate both locals and UFO enthusiasts.

Logan Paul’s Secret Video: Possession of the Most Convincing UFO Footage in History
Logan Paul’s Secret Video: Possession of the Most Convincing UFO Footage in History
Logan Paul, a popular YouTube personality, is known for his controversial videos and pranks. However, he may now be the center of attention for an entirely different reason: his alleged possession of the most convincing UFO footage ever
James Fox, a documentary filmmaker, recently appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast to discuss his documentary Moment of Contact and the topic of UFO sightings. During the podcast, Fox revealed that Paul is an enthusiast on the subject and may have obtained a copy of a notorious UFO video that was rumored to have been uncovered by UFO specialist Chuck Clark around 30 years ago.
According to Fox, the video was recorded by two men in the Nevada desert, and it shows them driving in their car when they capture a UFO very close to them. The original video was reportedly captured on a handheld camera, and the two men can be heard sounding scared and trying to crawl under the seats of the car. One of them even gets out of the car and videotapes a disc that was so low you could have hit it with a rock.
Fox claims to have seen the video himself and described the eerie scene in detail to Rogan. He explained that the skin on the craft was glowing like phosphorus on a beach, and it had a yellowy-orange color to it. The craft wobbled like it was unstable, and the camera guy exclaimed, “Oh my God!” before the video suddenly shut off.
While the video has never been widely shared, it has become the stuff of urban legend among the community of UFO hunters. Chuck Clark allegedly turned down $100,000 in cash for the tape, and it has remained hidden from the public eye ever since.
However, Fox alleges that Paul is now in possession of a copy of the infamous footage after covertly filming it. Paul has yet to comment publicly on the matter, but if he does have the video, it could be a game-changer for the UFO-hunting community.
Paul has a massive following, and his endorsement of the video could bring it to the attention of a wider audience. The footage could also be analyzed by experts and provide further evidence of extraterrestrial life.
It remains to be seen if Paul will release the video or comment on its existence. Still, the revelation has sparked excitement among UFO enthusiasts, and the possibility of finally seeing the most convincing UFO footage ever captured is tantalizing.
The alleged possession of the most convincing UFO footage ever by Logan Paul has taken the world by storm. The video, which has been hidden from the public eye for years, could provide further evidence of extraterrestrial life and change the way we view the universe. Whether or not Paul will release the video remains to be seen, but the excitement among UFO enthusiasts is palpable.
It may be tough for these worlds to hold onto liquid-water oceans, new research suggests.

In 2021, astronomers proposed a new class of exoplanets that contain hydrogen-rich atmospheres and support vast liquid-water oceans, making these hypothetical worlds potential candidates in the search for alien life.
However, new research suggests that these "Hycean" planets would suffer from a catastrophic runaway greenhouse effect, thus limiting their potential for habitability.
Hycean worlds get their name from a combination of "hydrogen" and "ocean," because these worlds — which would be larger than Earth but smaller than any of the giant planets in our solar system — are covered in thick, dense layers of a hydrogen atmosphere and could support vast liquid-water oceans.
Although no Hycean worlds have been confirmed to exist, the massive exoplanet survey by NASA's Kepler mission identified several candidate worlds that, based on estimates of their size and density, might be Hycean planets.
Astronomers are very interested in Hycean worlds. Where there's liquid water, there's a potential home for life as we know it. And because of their thick atmospheres, these planets can potentially exist in a much broader range of orbits around their parent stars without sacrificing their habitability, so there's even the chance that life is more common on Hycean worlds than our own.
But current research on the habitability of Hycean worlds isn't very detailed, and it relies on relatively simplistic models of atmospheric dynamics to understand how these planets can work. To remedy this, a team of researchers developed a more sophisticated approach for studying how a more accurate treatment of Hycean atmospheres and oceans would change our understanding of their behavior around different kinds of stars.
'Supercritical' oceans
The researchers found that the presence of a thick, hydrogen-dominated atmosphere radically changes how these planets behave, compared with a world like Earth. Our planet has a thick atmosphere too, but that atmosphere is composed of heavier elements, like nitrogen and oxygen. The ability of those elements to block or allow in specific wavelengths of light affects how warm the surface is for a given amount of solar radiation coming in.
But hydrogen acts differently: It blocks and admits different wavelengths of light, which, in turn, changes how the surface responds to sunlight. For example, the researchers found that if a planet with an atmospheric pressure 10 to 20 times Earth's (which is typical for Hycean worlds) were to be placed in the same orbit as Earth, its oceans would become "supercritical." That means the planet's temperatures would rise beyond the boiling point, which would lead to the oceans' evaporation and complete disappearance.
The researchers also found that the mixture of water vapor and hydrogen in Hycean planets' atmospheres changes their habitability. Hycean worlds cannot receive nearly as much sunlight as we previously thought before their oceans become too hot to sustain themselves as a liquid.
Previous models had placed the inner edge of the habitable zone, the region where surface temperatures on a world are just right to sustain liquid water, right around one astronomical unit (AU), the distance at which Earth orbits the sun. But the new calculations push the inner edge to 1.6 AU for worlds with similar air pressures as Earth. For Hycean worlds with 10 times the air pressure, the inner edge of the habitable zone is now thought to be 3.85 AU.
This means that Hycean worlds cannot live close to their parent stars, thereby limiting their range of habitability. Indeed, the researchers concluded that all the known potential Hycean worlds exist inside these new habitable limits and, therefore, are unlikely to host liquid-water oceans — and any chance for life. The researchers have submitted their work for publication in The Astrophysical Journal, and a preprint is available via arXiv(opens in new tab).
But there's still hope for these exoplanets' habitability. Hycean worlds can exist and sustain liquid-water oceans far beyond the outer edge of the habitable zones for Earth-like planets, so we may still find new promising candidates. The researchers hope to continue their work with even more detailed simulations to capture the complex and fascinating dynamics of these mysterious hypothetical worlds.

From Pyramids to Temples: Discovering the 15 Most Ancient Buildings on Earth (Video)
From Pyramids to Temples: Discovering the 15 Most Ancient Buildings on Earth (Video)
The world is full of ancient structures and buildings that have managed to withstand the test of time. From Gobekli Tepe, the oldest place of worship in the world, to the ancient Fortress of Masada , these buildings are a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of early human civilizations. The Karnak Temple complex in Egypt is another fascinating example, taking over 2000 years to build and featuring impressive architecture such as the great hypo-style hall and towering pylons.
One of the most impressive (and famous), the Colosseum in Rome, officially unveiled in AD 80, could seat 50,000 people and is still considered an impressive feat of engineering today. These structures, and others like the Tower of Jericho, continue to raise questions about the people who built them and their way of life. Here are 15 of the oldest buildings in the world.
We Can Now See Into the Permanently Shadowed Craters on the Moon
An instrument called ShadowCam is giving NASA’s planned Artemis missions to the Moon some advanced views of a landing site. It’s mounted to the Danuri Korea Pathfinder Lunar orbiter sent to the Moon last year. Lately, this amazing camera has been sending back some highly detailed images of the lunar north and south pole regions.
One view peers into the deeply shadowed Shackleton crater. It shows the track of a boulder that slid down from the rim. This impact crater lies smack on top of the south rotational pole of the Moon. It dates back to an ancient impact some 3.6 billion years ago. Shackleton’s 12-kilometer-deep interior is in perpetual shadow. That is, the Sun never shines inside it. However, the mountains on its rim are always in sunlight.
The ShadowCam is 200 times more light-sensitive than most other cameras used to study and map the Moon from orbit. Its high-resolution images will provide a great deal of information for Artemis mission planners.
ShadowCam is able to see inside Shackleton and other craters fairly well thanks to Earthshine. It also uses light reflected from nearby mountains and crater walls that do receive direct sunlight. Some of ShadowCam’s images were captured during New Moon when sunlight shining off of Earth’s surface reaches the Moon. These “reflected light” sources aren’t bright, but ShadowCam was able to detect them.
Shackleton: One of the Intriguing Lunar Craters
NASA and other agencies landing astronauts on the Moon want to explore the Shackleton crater polar region because there’s a good chance that it contains water ice deposits. Over the years, lunar orbiters have studied and mapped this region. They’ve investigated the radiation regime and physical properties of the rocks and craters there. There appears to be an abundance of hydrogen, oxygen, silicon, iron, magnesium, calcium, aluminum, manganese, and titanium in the area.
Future explorers could locate resource processing facilities in the region to mine materials needed for construction and other activities. In addition, thanks to its perpetual shadowed condition, this region offers a great place for astronomical observations in the future. All of that activity lies farther down the line, after Artemis III lands its astronauts on the surface. Their first mission will be only a few days, long enough to start an in-depth study of this fascinating area of the Moon.
The Artemis mission plans cover a variety of bases, from the chances for scientific discovery, and economic benefits, but also because new generations of explorers will be returning to the Moon, more than half a century after the last ones left. The Artemis missions are part of an international cooperative effort that includes NASA, Canada, ESA, and others. Not to be outdone, the China National Space Administration also has set its sights on the Moon. They recently announced missions that could take their first explorers to the lunar surface later on in this decade.
China Finally Tells us What's Going on With its Mars Rover
The Zhurong Rover has sat unmoving and unresponsive on Mars since May 20th, 2022, when one of the planet’s infamous dust storms forced the science team to switch the rover to hibernation mode. It was expected to wake in late December, but has yet to show any signs of activity. Last week, the Rover’s chief designer, Zhang Rongqiao, offered an update on the rover’s status.
“We have not had any communication from the rover since it entered hibernation,” Zhang said. “We are monitoring it every day and believe it has not woken up because the sunlight has not yet reached the minimum level for power generation.”
The culprit is likely the same villain that has ended the careers of many a Martian robot: dust on the solar panels. Dust accumulation killed NASA’s Opportunity rover in 2018, and more recently, forced a premature end to the InSight lander’s data collection mission in 2022. It may have spelled the end for Zhurong too.
“Based on our analysis,” said Zhang, “the most likely possibility is that an unpredictable accumulation of Martian dust has led to a decrease in the power generation capacity, which is insufficient to wake it up.”
Of course, this doesn’t mean the end of the rover’s career for certain. Changing seasons on the red planet are expected to strengthen the Sun’s rays at Zhurong’s location in the near future. A benevolent dust devil might also wipe the solar panels clean. Either of these could bring power levels back within operational norms.
If the overaccumulation of dust is 30 percent higher than engineers had planned for, it might be survivable for Zhurong, causing it to reawaken once the seasons shift. A 40 percent overaccumulation, however, would mean it is unlikely to wake up ever again.
For now, all there is to do is watch and wait.
Zhurong already spent 358 days active on Mars, far outliving its primary 90-day mission. It traveled just under 2000 meters across Utopia Planetia, a large impact basin in Mars’ northern hemisphere. Zhurong used ground penetrating radar to gather data, discovering evidence that the region was once the site of an ancient ocean. Its other instruments collected weather data, including surface pressure and wind speeds. The rover also found evidence of ‘recent’ water, recent in this case meaning 400,000 years ago.
Zhurong arrived at Mars in tandem with an orbiter, Tianwen-1, which is still in operation and collecting data from orbit above the Martian surface.
As part of the update, Zhang also commented on the next deep space mission in the Tianwen series. Tianwen-2 will be a sample return mission, intended to bring material back from a near-Earth asteroid named 2016 HO3. Tianwen-2 is expected to launch in May 2025.
Glitches in the Matrix: Strange Cases of People Deleted From Existence
Glitches in the Matrix: Strange Cases of People Deleted From Existence
Brent Swancer
There are plenty of cases of mysterious disappearances which I have covered here on many occasions. Yet while these all seem to be people who seem to have been lost or have wandered off there are some cases that are all together stranger. These are those instances when people have just seemed to have spontaneously been wiped from existence at a momnent's notice, and I don't mean that they have just vanished, but that they have just evaporated on the spot. It is something I have delved intoever since I had my own experience with what I call "deleted people."
My first introduction into this phenomenon came to me by chance. This happened around over a decade ago in the early summer. I was out at a wilderness area not far from Tokyo, at a place which draws quite a few people to come out for a variety of outdoor activities, so this is not a remote area in the middle of nowhere, and it is actually quite crowded in the spring and summer months. Although there is camping there, for me this was just a day trip, picnicking and hiking. I was with some other people having a picnic in a large open meadow area with picnic tables and BBQ facilities, where many families were out enjoying the sunny, warm day. There were people everywhere, in fact, and we were even commenting on how crowded it was. Near this picnic area there was a creek that meandered by and pushed against a rather steep drop, and I remember thinking that this was sort of dangerous considering how many people were milling about not too far away and how many kids were running around the general area. We were sitting quite near this drop off, practically right next to it, and I couldn’t even really enjoy my lunch because sometimes a kid would run past and I was worried that eventually someone was going to go over. I was even telling my friends that we should mention it to the officials who ran the area. It was nerve wracking.
After awhile we were going to actually pack up and be on our way, and I was sort of walking along that ridge checking it out and thinking how they needed a railing or something there. At this point I was walking back to our spot to help pack up and a young girl of around 8 years of age goes running by laughing and heading right for that creek area. I wasn’t totally alarmed at this point, as there were kids everywhere, but I kind of kept an eye on her and was wondering what her parents thought of this. As she was running full speed in that direction I sort of went over in that direction as well, and as she got closer to the danger zone I yelled out in Japanese “ki wo tsuketa hou ga ii yo!” which means “You better be careful!” At around that moment I went around a boulder and the girl ran by it on the other side, and as this was practically right on the cusp of the drop off, I was now quite concerned. Yet, when I rounded the boulder she was gone. Considering her path and speed and position, as well as the fact that she was out of sight for not even a second, she should have been right there on the other side, but she was nowhere to be seen. She had simply vanished.
Thinking that she may have fallen down the ridge, I looked down and there was nothing, no sign of her, and even if she had fallen the creek was not fast flowing enough for her to have been totally swept away in such a short span of time. Looking back towards the meadow also showed me that she was nowhere, even though if she had somehow changed course and returned she had only been out of sight for a split second and I should have seen her doing so. I was baffled, and I walked about looking around but that girl was nowhere to be found. I wondered who her parents were or where they were, but I didn’t know. I was pretty puzzled by it all, but in the end I suppose I just wrote it off as having some explanation, not really believing it myself. I just sort of assumed that the girl had somehow escaped my attention and gone off back to her family in that fraction of a second that it took me to round that boulder, even though part of me knew that it was impossible.
We stayed at that area for a little while longer and I did not see anyone in a panic or looking for someone, and then we left and I sort of put it out of my mind. That evening my mind turned back to that mysterious girl I had seen and I became more and more convinced that what I had witnessed was very strange indeed. I became sort of obsessed with it, and I actually checked the news everyday looking for anything about a missing girl in that area, thinking that if something came up I would notify authorities, but nothing did. To this day I have no idea what I saw. All I know is there is no way that that girl could have run behind that boulder and escaped my attention. She was out of sight for a fraction of a second and then absolutely nothing. Just there one moment and gone the next. I often wonder what I actually saw and if there is some family out there wondering whatever happened to their daughter. I don't know. Was this someone vanishing? Was it a ghost? Was it just my mind playing tricks on me? I have no idea, but I believe it is at around that point that I developed a keen interest in mysterious disappearances.
I was so confused by this particular experience that I went about looking up other similar accounts and I was surprised to find that there were plenty to be had, all describing people who just seemed to have flashed out of reality, and it drew me deeper into this weird world. One report of someone just seeming to blink out of existence was given by Reddit user “mzzsanchezx3,” who says this happened when she had gone out to have a meal with her fiancé at a Wendy’s fast food joint. At some point during their meal, she claims that a woman basically just appeared and disappeared out of nowhere, and that both of them clearly saw it. She explains what happened:
This is where it gets important. I was sitting with my back facing the side the register was on, meaning the entrance of the Wendy's was on my right side. I can see anyone who comes in and out by simply turning my head/POV slightly to the right. The entrance consists of the door, which leads to a small "manhole" and to go out to the parking lot you need to make a quick left turn where you immediately reach the door. You can't go straight in the manhole because right in front of the door you just walked out from is a ceiling to floor window looking out to the parking lot. When you step outside of the door to the parking lot, immediately there's a fence on the right side, meaning you need to continue walking straight and around the fence if you're trying to reach the right side of the parking lot. Also, if anyone walks out of the restaurant door to the parking lot and walks straight, I'd be able to see them through the windows along the side of the building after the entrance way. There are no other entries or exits.
Ok now that we have those details, we were eating and enjoying our meal when all of a sudden we see a lady who we knew didn't make any orders because we'd been people watching the line and she was never on line and she was not with anyone else. This woman was wearing a pastel blue button down shirt, white capris and tennis shows. She walks from the middle of the restaurant where they keep the sauces and napkins to the bathroom which is behind the table we're sitting at and comes out about 2-3 minutes later, but this time with a Wendy's drink in her hand. She makes her way around the current line at the register, and right before she reaches the exit she slightly turns back and looks at us. She opens the first door and continues walking straight. Then she was gone. My fiance and I looked at each other at that exact moment and looked back to the door and started questioning out loud if we both saw the same thing we think we just saw. He said he saw it too. He immediately got up from our table and ran to the exit door, and out to the parking lot and said she was absolutely no where to be found.
We didn't see where she went when she walked into the window. We didn't see her on the other side of the window walking through the parking lot. We didn't see her opening the 2nd door to the parking lot and walking straight. We literally saw her walk into the window. We continued discussing it and both made the point about the window being there and how it's not possible for her to walk through it and exit. We also discussed how she literally appeared out of nowhere in the middle of the restaurant. We discussed how she literally glanced over at us before she left the restaurant. To this day we don't know what happened to her, how she appeared in the restaurant or even how she left the restaurant at all. We sort of joked that she was a time traveler but I really have no idea what to make of that situation.
Who was this woman, where did she come from, and where did she go? Were they both just imagining things? Another weird case appears on the same thread, with a witness who claims that an elderly man with a cane disappeared, reappeared, and then vanished again within moments. He says this happened when he was on vacation with his family, and explains of it:
We stopped at a rest area somewhere in Alabama to let our dogs out and to head to bathroom ourselves, and I was left in charge of the dogs while everyone else went in, so when my turn came around I walked/ran in pretty fast. This is when I first spotted the disappearing man, he was this older guy with a cane, and the only reason I noticed him was because of the bright green jacket he had on. Well I walked past him while he was on a bench and I had turned around because the green caught my eye and he was gone. Sure he could’ve gotten up fast, maybe he was just a fast old dude I didn’t know, so I head in and use the bathroom. So when I finish in the bathroom I’m walking out and see the same guy walking in front of me out the doors, I look down at my phone and when I look up the guy is gone, I sped up and looked out the doors left and right to see if I could spot him, but he was completely gone out of nowhere. One of the weirdest experiences I’ve had really, it may not seem like much but it was quite odd.
There one second and gone the next. Again, how to explain this? Another case comes from Redditor “NotDeadNotforSale,” who claims that a person walking next to him on the street just suddenly and inexplicably evaporated. He reports:
I went out for a walk to do my regular shit, and there was this person in all black with his head covered with a hoodie, he was walking perpendicular right across from me on the other sidewalk, I glanced once at the guy and didn’t think anything of it, than I looked back and there wasn’t anybody where he should’ve been, all I could think was holy fuck. To further elaborate, no way in hell could of he been literally anywhere, he was walking right next to an empty parking lot, at first I thought he might’ve crossed and was behind me but no, this isn’t my first time experiencing a glitch or whatever you’d wanna call it.
Such cases can leave someone baffled, frantically looking around trying to figure out where the person has gone or what could possibly be going on and coming up empty. As someone who has experienced this myself it can be extremely disorienting and puzzling. In another case, Reddit user “Ashseniy” explains how a man vanished right in front of him and he is at a loss for how to explain it. He says:
Okay. So, one late evening i was walking down the sidewalk, minding my own business, listening to some tunes in my headphones. It had rained a bit that day, so there was a lot of puddles. Walking in front of me was a man, nothing unusual, just a man. I remember how he was dressed, straight jeans, slightly wet near the heels, a short puffed down jacket and a backpack, specifically “columbia”. I was kinda in my own headspace, walking and staring at the said “columbia” tag. After a few minutes of walking i had to step over a puddle, i looked down at it, overstepped it, looked back up and the man had vanished. Yes, i know what you are thinking about, he could have turned, but the same thing crossed my mind at the same second i didn’t find him in front of me. There is why everything that explains it doesn’t work: to our left is a small field with a couple of benches, no trees(!), lots of lights. To our right is a four lane road with also lots of light. It was late, so me and the man were the only one walking, and he had nowhere to hide (why would he want to in the first place?), and if he ran across the road i would of seen him do that.
From yet another witness called “mayfushii” there is the case of a vanishing boy who just seems to have poofed right out of existence. The witness says:
I was going out with my friends, and we were taking the apples from random tree back in time there. As we were collecting them, we saw the boy who walked with our path forward. He looked like a 12 year old, he wasn't looking at his phone or anything, he just walked. We didn't gave it too much attention and continued on with the apples. After around 5 or 10 seconds we noticed that he was gone. We looked at the way that guy was walking, and he wasn't anywhere near us. We would have seen him going far away, but no, he disappeared in nowhere. I thought he turned and went random other way quickly, but it turned out that there was only one path here. He didn't even looked at us while going, although there was 3 of us and we all saw him with my friends. We still find it weird and random how he just appeared and disappeared out of nowhere. The place we were at was actually empty and abandoned, we just decided back then to go random way from our street.
Strange, indeed. Another Redditor called “MTVChallengeFan” claims that he is quite a sleptical person and has never really believed in strange phenomena or the paranormal, but that he did have one inexplicable experience involving a woman who seems to have just stepped off the face of the earth. He says of what happened:
I've lived in the same city my entire life in the USA, and there was this Circle K convenient store very close to where I lived. At the time, I knew the same four, or five employees at the story. The store only has one entrance (which also serves as the exit), and the parking lot in front of the store in the only parking lot. The store also only has one bathroom which is designed one for one person at a time. Back in March of 2011, I drove to this Circle K, and right about the same time, this white car next to me pulled up (I'm not sure what kind of car it was, but it was quite a "beater" to say the least). Right when I was getting out of the car, the woman driving the white car had gotten out of it. She walked in the Circle K. I took some time to empty out some trash from my car, and I entered the store about a minute later. Keep in mind, this woman hadn't left the store yet (and there was only one entrance, which also served as the exit).
Aside from the woman who worked there, I was the only one in the main part of the store, so I just assumed the woman I saw walking from the car was in the bathroom. I got my snacks, and went up to the counter. I already knew the clerk well (we would open up to each other about many things), and I had to ask if a woman walked in, and was possibly in the bathroom. I just thought it was odd that this woman was using the restroom for close to ten minutes at this time.
Anyway, I described what the woman looked like to the clerk: She was very pale (white, obviously), had black hair, brown eyes, she was medium height, and as soon as I mentioned her very low waist to hip ratio(she has an abnormally large butt, and huge hips, and thighs compared to her little waist), the clerk gasped. She told me she knew exactly who I was talking about, and she also told me she was a regular customer, but what she said to me gives me chills to this day: She told me this woman hadn't entered the store on this day. I told her I saw her walk in right before I did, and she told me she was at the counter, and never saw her. We were both baffled. I obviously wasn't just "seeing things", because the clerk told me I described a regular customer (and this was somebody I had never seen before). When I walked out of the Circle K, her car was still there, so I just sat in my car for five minutes, but left (because I didn't want to seem creepy anyway), and I never found out if she came back for that car. The only thing I can think of is the woman from the car walked in the store, was doing something "shady" in the bathroom (maybe drug-dealing, drugs, etc.), and was in cahoots with the clerk, and the clerk was playing dumb with me. Even though I knew the clerk, this doesn't mean she didn't have any secrets she wouldn't tell me. Other than that, I don't know. She disappeared into thin air.
Another type of report I’ve found while looking into the phenomenon of these “deleted people” seems to be related, and it involves people just sort of fading from existence retroactively or without being directly observed to do so. A fairly creepy case of this was related by Reddit user “BittahZamurai,” who says that one day a person who she knew in college just seems to have faded away without anyone really realizing how or why. She says:
Back in college, my friends and I would always all go to the cafeteria across campus together for lunch. There were about 8-10 of us on any given day so normally you had 3-4 of us in a huddle followed by the other 3-4. I was in the back group and we passed between these two bushes then the weirdest feeling just washed over me. Something felt changed and I was a bit disoriented. We all kinda just stopped and looked at each other while the first group just kept going. Someone was missing. We all kinda just knew it. To this day, I have no idea who it was. Everyone was accounted for, but we couldn't shake the feeling that someone was just gone. Miss you, mysterious friend who just vanished. It was a weird spot near those bushes in general. We always avoided it after that. I remember another time we all seemed to notice a light post there at the same time and none of us could remember if it had always been there or not even though we walked that path at least twice a day. Could probably just chalk that up to busy college students not paying attention but it is weird that it's the same spot that we lost someone a few weeks later.
A similar case comes from Redditor “daydreamer373,” who says that a person he knew in college seems to have just been wiped from existence. He explains:
There was a guy that I went to school with that has now disappeared! I have the strongest memory of him hanging out with our whole group back in the early 2000s, and then, gone! He’s not in any yearbooks. I haven’t confused him with someone else. He’s just...gone! Here’s the weird part. I don’t live in a huge town, but the girl I know was his sister and both of his parents still live here. She’s on Facebook saying how grateful she is to her parents that she has the life she does, only child, etc. I have known her literally my whole life. For the first 17 years, she had a brother. I have been tripping on this! Along with Nelson Mandela not dying in the 80s, this kid just disappears! And it’s like my brain physically hurts when I try to recall the full memory of our last hang out too. I asked two of his friends what happened to him and they said they never knew a guy with the name I gave them...I asked if that family had a son...they said “no; only the hot girl from school”...I’ve never been so confused.
Along the same lines is the rather odd report from Redditor “Thunder_54,” who was baffled by a class he took in which several people seem to have just flickered out of existence without explanation. He says of what happened:
I was in my biology recitation class yesterday and I had just read this lifehacker article about being more observant before class. One of the things it talks about is counting the number of people in a room and marking exits in a room. So I thought it would be fun to do this silently to myself as class started. I counted 22 people, including the TA and myself. So 21 students, including me. This is a small classroom. The TA took informal roll by counting by twos out loud (we have a sign-in sheet, he just wanted to know about how many people were missing, so no names needed). He got to 21--the same as me. He marked it on the sheet and then began talking about what we would do in class. He was going to take questions about the test, however due to the way the professor (lecturer, not this TA) structured the test schedule, it was possible that some people had taken the test and others had not. He took a quick poll asking who had already taken the test. I had already taken the test so I raised my hand and he counted and said, "Alright so of you have taken it out of..... 19?". I was confused because I had just counted 21 students, and heard him count 21 as well. He was also noticeably confused and recounted. He got 19 students again and asked "Did a couple of you all wander out when I wasn't paying attention?" No one answered and I knew no one had (I sat next to the door this day). It was weird. It was weirder because I would NOT have cared at all about this TA's counting mistake if I hadn't been observant and counted the people in the class myself. I've tried to think of an explanation but I just can't. We both counted 21, and then suddenly there were 19. Yes I recounted too, in disbelief.
It is hard to know what to make of such cases, but there seem to be a lot of theories going around. One is that these are “glitches in the matrix” so to speak, which is to say perhaps we are living in a computer simulation and these are just examples of some sort of problem, glitch, or just lazy programming. There is also the idea that in the case of people just vanishing in seconds these could be examples or interdimensional “walk-ins,” in a sense, meaning that they have somehow wandered or bled over from another parallel dimension, only to spirit away back to where they came from. In the case of people who have retroactively faded away, one Redditor called “mrsjojoxx” gives an interesting idea, saying:
Ok so I just finished reading a book called The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth by Dolores Cannon. In this book it talks a lot about how we are starting to vibrate on a higher frequency and one by one people will sort of change dimension from this to a higher one as they raise their vibration. In the beginning it will be people here and there and it mentioned that these people who go will be a distant memory and you sort of drift apart for no reason, and you won’t find them. I wonder if this is really the case and that’s what has happened!
Other ideas have included that these are time travelers, portals, or even some mysterious force messing and tinkering with reality as we know it. There is no way to really know for sure and such bizarre accounts remain firmly lodged within the world of the strange. What is going on here and what are we to make of this? Are these explainable or are they perhaps revealing cracks in our reality? We may never know for sure.

Is Avi Loeb correct about the alien mothership? In his recent strikingscientific paper co-authored with Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, Director of All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office Pentagon, the Harvard physicist discusses the idea of small UFO probes from a mothership, using Oumuamua as a possible example. The researchers state that extraterrestrial motherships carrying smaller probes could potentially visit planets in our solar system, including Earth.
This has sparked a debate among ufologists with some referencing previous sightings and photographs of similar craft that have been attributed to their large size and cylindrical shape. The statement has prompted discussion on the possibility of alien life and whether or not such visitations have already occurred.
On March 20, 1950, a cylindrical UFO was photographed at night over New York City. The object was classified as a nocturnal light by J. Allen Hynek and was officially labeled as the moon by Project Grudge (predecessor of Project Blue Book) after investigation. The photographer’s name was deleted from Project Blue Book’s files. Some ufologists have speculated that this type of UFO may be a mothership capable of carrying and discharging smaller craft. (Source)
According to a declassified document, the photograph was taken by an Underhill Studio photographer from the Queensboro Bridge before sunset. The photographer’s name was deleted from Project Blue Book’s files — as were most names when the material was finally declassified and released. Upon investigating the report, Project Grudge officially labeled it “The Moon.” (Source)
The photographer, who is believed to be Irving Underhill, stated that the object was not present in the sky when the photograph was taken and denied that it was a film defect. Underhill was a renowned architectural photographer who often received commissions to promote new buildings. Air Force investigators received the photograph in a letter and concluded that it was caused by the Moon’s declination during a long exposure. However, this explanation is questionable for various reasons, including the shadowing on the object and the positioning of the Moon.
Underhill claimed that the photograph was taken on May 20, 1950, but Air Force investigators changed the date to March 20. A waxing crescent Moon was visible for two hours that night before traveling below the horizon in March, which could have accounted for the object’s shape in the photograph. However, there is no documentation to support the date change, and it is unclear if investigators altered the print. The Moon on May 20, 1950, was days away from a first quarter phase and did not have the necessary curve to match the object in the photograph.
The Air Force stated that the photograph was taken between 17:30 and 18:00 o’clock on March 20, 1950. However, the Sun did not set until 18:06 that day, and there were no deviations in Daylight Saving Time that year. Furthermore, the enlarged version of the photograph shows the concave edge of the object facing down towards the horizon, which is inconsistent with the waxing crescent Moon’s position on March 20. Therefore, the official explanation of the photograph being caused by the Moon’s declination during a long exposure is dubious.
Edward J. Ruppelt, a former head of Blue Book, wrote in his book “The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects(1956)”: “It doesn’t take a great deal of study of the old UFO files to see that standard intelligence procedures were no longer being used by Grudge. Everything was being evaluated on the premise UFOs couldn’t exist.” Its goal, he wrote, was to “get rid of UFOs,” by “explaining every report.”
Despite Grudge’s goal to debunk UFOs, as Ruppelt described it, by the early 1950s, reports of cigar-shaped objects were so numerous that they became difficult to ignore. The Underhill photo is just one of the many sightings of cigar-shaped objects that were reported in the early 1950s.
In one such incident on February 5, 1950, two pilots reported seeing a pair of bright cylinders above Teaticket, Massachusetts. They witnessed a pair of bright cylinders maneuvering together in the sky, and dropping a fireball from one of them. The objects climbed rapidly and then disappeared, leaving the pilots puzzled as they had never seen anything like them before, despite thousands of flying hours between them. The incident occurred just one month before the famous Underhill photo was taken, which the Air Force claimed was a weather balloon. (Source)
The Teaticket sighting was not an isolated incident, as similar sightings were reported in the following years. For instance, in May 1950, two radar operators at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico observed a metallic cylindrical object flying at tremendous speed, angled downward, and disappearing in a flash of brilliant white light.
In July 1952, four pilots saw three vertically stacked cylinders between 50,000 and 80,000 feet in the sky over Pennsylvania, and four days later, a Navy veteran saw a lone grey cylinder with a domed top and bottom flying upright before flashing silver and disappearing. In August 1952, an engineer in New Mexico saw three cigar-shaped objects sitting motionless in a V-formation before tumbling forward as they flew.
Despite these and many other sightings, the US government’s official response was to explain them right away, often with unsatisfactory and inadequate explanations. The Teaticket incident was dismissed as a weather balloon, and the March 1967 sighting in Newburgh, New York, was attributed to Venus, even though the witnesses described a large, bright, silver object with intricate details that vanished instantaneously. (Source)
The lack of a comprehensive investigation and analysis of these sightings has led to many unanswered questions and speculation about the intent, origin, and purpose of UFOs. The fact that the US government has not released all of its UFO files only fuels further speculation.
It is unclear why some sightings involve cylindrical shapes while others are disc-shaped or spherical. Are these different types of UFOs from different origins or with different purposes, or are they all part of the same phenomenon? Were they alien motherships launching exploration probes as Loeb and Kirkpatrick have recently suggested?
HELSINKI — China National Space Administration will soon set up an organization to oversee and coordinate the China-led International Lunar Research Station.
Wu Weiren, Director General of the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory (DSEL), said during an exploration conference April 25 that the International Lunar Research Station Cooperation Organization (ILRSCO) would soon be established to coordinate and manage the construction of the ILRS moon base. Founding members are expected to sign the agreement on ILRSCO before June.
CNSA and the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) signed a joint statement on ILRS cooperation as part of the opening ceremony of DSEL’s first International Conference on Deep Space Exploration in Hefei, Anhui province on April 25. APSCO members include China, Bangladesh, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Peru and Thailand.
Wu noted that CNSA has signed cooperation agreements or letters of intent with a number of countries and international bodies, including Russia, Argentina, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil since unveiling the first ILRS road map 2021, South China Morning Post reported.
The project is being opened to countries and organizations worldwide, according to Wu.
“We welcome the participation of developed countries such as the United States and European countries. We also hope that BRICS countries and some underdeveloped African countries will join us,” Wu told CCTV ahead of China’s national space day on April 24.
State media Global Times reported that more than 10 countries are currently negotiating the agreement. Venezuela is understood to be close to signing an agreement on the ILRS.
The ILRS project and ILRSCO are somewhat analogous to the U.S.-led Artemis program and its political underpinning, the Artemis Accords, to which 23 countries have signed up. Notably Russia had been stated to be a joint partner in the ILRS when unveiled in 2021. However, overt mentions of Russia have been missing from Chinese statements of the plan following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The next steps in China’s lunar exploration plans were also laid out in full this week. The next mission is to be the launch of the Queqiao-2 lunar relay satellite early next year. It will support the Chang’-6 sample return mission scheduled to launch in May 2024. That mission aims to be the first ever to deliver to Earth samples collected from the lunar far side. It will target the southern area of Apollo basin.
Queqiao-2 is an upgrade on the earlier Queqiao satellite currently supporting the Chang’e-4 lunar far side lander and rover. The new spacecraft will also act as a communications relay for the Chang’e-7 and 8 missions to the lunar south pole.
Chang’e-7 includes an orbiter, lander, rover and hopping spacecraft designed to seek out water-ice in permanently shadowed craters. The mission will launch in 2026 and target a landing site at 88.8 degrees South, 123.4° East at Shackleton crater.
Chang’e-8, launching in 2028, will include a robot designed to test 3D printing bricks from lunar regolith. It will serve as a basis for the full ILRS project to follow in the 2030s.
ILRS presently consists of five planned missions to set up nuclear energy, communications, astronomical observation and other infrastructure for a robotic research station which will, when completed, host astronauts.
The project will require the development of five major infrastructures, DSEL’s Wu Yanhua and former CNSA deputy director said during a keynote speech on April 25. These include an Earth-moon Transportation System , a lunar surface long-term operation System, lunar surface transportation and science research facilities. An upgraded version of the ILRS is envisioned to be completed by 2050.
Wu Weiren said that China will, without doubt, be capable of landing astronauts on the moon before 2030. The country is currently working on the required hardware to realize a crewed lunar landing.
The Queqiao-2 satellite will be part of a larger Queqiao (meaning “magpie bridge,” referencing a story from Chinese mythology) constellation. It will provide communication, navigation and remote sensing support for future crewed lunar landings and potentially robotic missions to deep space.
Last month a senior Chinese space official called for the speeding up of China’s efforts to build lunar infrastructure or miss a never-to-be-repeated opportunity to secure its global role in lunar exploration.
The International Space Stationpartners have committed to extending the operations of this unique platform in low Earth orbit where, for more than 22 years, humans have lived and worked for the benefit of humanity, conducting cutting-edge science and research in microgravity. The United States, Japan, Canada, and the participating countries of ESA (European Space Agency) have confirmed they will support continued space station operations through 2030 and Russia has confirmed it will support continued station operations through 2028. NASA will continue to work with its partner agencies to ensure an uninterrupted presence in low Earth orbit, as well as a safe and orderly transition from the space station to commercial platforms in the future.
“The International Space Station is an incredible partnership with a common goal to advance science and exploration,” said Robyn Gatens, director of the International Space Station Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “Extending our time aboard this amazing platform allows us to reap the benefits of more than two decades of experiments and technology demonstrations, as well as continue to materialize even greater discovery to come.”
Since its launch in 1998, the International Space Station has been visited by 266 individuals from 20 countries. The space station is a unique scientific platform where crew members conduct experiments across multiple disciplines of research, including Earth and space science, biology, human physiology, physical sciences and technology demonstrations that could not be done on Earth. The crew living aboard the station are the hands of thousands of researchers on the ground conducting more than 3,300 experiments in microgravity. Now, in its third decade of operations, the station is in the decade of results when the platform can maximize its scientific return. Results are compounding, new benefits are materializing, and innovative research and technology demonstrations are building on previous work.
The space station is one of the most complex international collaborations ever attempted. It was designed to be interdependent, relies on contributions from across the partnership to function, and no partner currently has the capability to operate the space station without the other.
With a continued foothold in low Earth orbit, NASA’s Artemis missions are underway, setting up a long-term presence at the Moon for science and exploration.
Martian water played a major role in creating intriguing surface features on miniature sand dunes, scientists say.

Scientists studying data from China's Zhurong rover have for the first time found cracked layers on tiny Martian dunes, which imply the Red Planet was a salt-rich watery world as recently as 400,000 years ago.
Since landing in Mars' northern hemisphere in May 2021, the rover has rolled close to four nearby crescent-shaped dunes in the Utopia Planitia region to investigate their surface composition. All four of the miniature, wind-formed geological features are coated with thin, ubiquitously fractured crusts and ridges that formed thanks to melting small pockets of "modern water" sometime between 1.4 million years to 400,000 years ago, according to a new paper(opens in new tab) published Friday (April 28).
"This means a more recent time in Martian history," Xiaoguang Qin, a scientist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and an author of the new study, told Space.com.
Scientists have long thought that early Mars harbored abundant liquid water about three billion years ago. But dramatic climate changes froze much of it as ice now locked in poles and left the bulk of the planet parched.
The dunes Zhurong explored are close to its landing site in the planet's northern hemisphere — far from the north pole — are just shy of 50 to 100 feet (15 to 30 meters) long and about 3 feet (1 m) tall. Latest findings from analyzing images and data sent home by Zhurong and its Tianwen 1 orbiter companion show that appreciable amounts of water from the planet's icy polar regions wafted to lower latitudes a few million years ago, settling atop the Utopia Planitia dunes.
When Zhurong ventured close to its target dunes, which are pint-sized compared to the massive two-story ones NASA's Curiosity rover studied elsewhere on Mars, the laser-induced breakdown spectrometer (MarSCoDe) instrument onboard the rover zapped sand grains into millimeter-sized particles. Their chemical makeup revealed hydrated minerals like sulfates, silica, iron oxide and chlorides. According to the study team, these minerals formed in the presence of water at low latitudes in the late Amazonian era on Mars, which scientists previously thought was bone-dry.
Researchers say water vapor traveled from Martian poles to lower latitudes like Zhurong's spot a few million years ago, when the planet's polar ice caps released high amounts of water vapor, thanks to a different tilt that had Mars' poles pointed more directly toward the sun. Frigid temperatures on the wobbling planet condensed the drifting vapor and dropped it as snow far from the poles, according to the latest study.
Mars' tilt changes over a 124,000-year cycle, so "this offers a replenishing mechanism for vapor in the atmosphere to form frost or snow at low latitudes where the Zhurong rover has landed," Qin told Space.com. But "no water ice was detected by any instrument on the Zhurong rover."
Instead, in the same way that salting roads on Earth melts icy patches during storms, salts in Martian sand dunes warmed the fallen snow and thawed it enough to form saltwater. The process also formed minerals such as silica and ferric oxides, which Zhurong spotted, researchers say.
The saltwater, however, didn't stay around for long. Temperatures on Mars swing wildly and spike in the mornings between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m., so the saltwater evaporated and left behind salt and other newly formed minerals that later seeped between the dune's sand grains, cementing them to form a crust, according to the study.
The crust that formed atop the dunes, which runs just 0.5 inches (1.25 centimeters) to 3 inches (1.7 cm) deep, likely materialized in as quickly as one year, because the loose dunes wouldn't stay in place long enough to solidify across millenia. It then cracked as high temperatures dehydrated it so much that they "should be hard and resist wind erosion," Qin said.
"The phenomenon was documented at one site, but it should be applicable to a fairly large fraction of Mars' surface at similar latitudes," Manasvi Lingam, an assistant professor of astrobiology at the Florida Institute of Technology who wasn't involved in the new research, told Space.com.
Since Zhurong, which is now suffocating under dust-coated solar panels, has revealed water activity on top of and inside salty Martian dunes, researchers of the new study propose future missions to search for salt-tolerant microbes, perhaps like brine shrimp or pickleweed residing in Utah's Great Salt Lake in the United States.
This research is described in a paper(opens in new tab) published Friday (April 28) in the journal Science Advances.

The Roswell Coverup 75 Years Later (Full Documentary)
The Roswell Coverup 75 Years Later (Full Documentary)
75 years on from that mysterious night in Roswell in 1947, we take a look back at the first hand accounts of those who saw, held and were instrumental in disclosing what the government could not, the crash of an alien spaceship.
Conspiracy, cover-up and condemnation… Those brave enough to share their stories from that mysterious night in Roswell 1947 faced humiliation and intimidation. 75 years later, as all those who had first hand knowledge of the event have now passed, the truth may never be accepted. We take a look back at the first hand accounts of those who saw, held and were instrumental in disclosing what the government could not, the crash of an alien spaceship. Diluted over the years, this documentary re-examines and focuses on the personal experiences, from witnessing a close encounter to traumatic military threats, which the ordeal had on unwitting bystanders within the Roswell community. Sucked into the story stuck in time, hear first hand accounts from Jesse Marcel, Frankie Rowe, and Walter Haut, on what transpired into the greatest ufological mystery of the century. Along with expert analysis from Kevin Randle (retired USAR) and Kent Jeffrey (coordinator of The Roswell Initiative). Something definitely crashed into the desert of Roswell New Mexico, the air force maintains it was a weather balloon, the eyewitnesses store their belief in a cover up. Who do you believe? Are you being deceived?
US Congressman Tim Burchett is among the few government officials who has been actively speaking on the UFO phenomenon and publicly shared his longstanding view that the government has been withholding information about UFO sightings and otherworldly aircraft, technology, and materials.
Rep. Burchett supported the UAPs Disclosure while criticizing the UFO hearing held on May 17, 2022. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of information collected by the US Department of Defense on reported sightings. He also accused the government of concealing information concerning UAPs.
Moreover, in an interview with Newsweek, Rep. Burchett claimed that recovered UFO technology may be “being reverse-engineered right now,” but “we don’t understand” how it functions. “We have recovered a craft at some point, and possible beings. I think that a lot of that’s being reverse-engineered right now, but we just don’t understand it,” he continued.
However, the Defense Department has not confirmed the nature of the remaining three objects, which were targeted by US fighter jet missiles over Alaska, Canada, and Lake Huron, Michigan.
On February 18, 2023, John Greenewald of The Black Vault submitted a FOIA request to release the classified and unclassified photos, videos, cockpit footage, and personal cell phone footage taken by pilots and provided to the DoD, among other things. However, on March 21, 2023, the U.S. Air Force responded and denied the release of all the requested materials. Greenewald wrote that it remains unclear how many photos or videos were found or are being withheld.
In response to Rep. Burchett’s interview with Newsweek, investigative journalist Ross Coulthart revealed on “That UFO Podcast” that US politicians had been given top-secret briefings on evidence of anomalous craft.
Coulthart claims that at least two congressmen in “key” government positions have been briefed and that the topic has become a priority for both sides of Congress. He suggests that the issue of UFO sightings and briefings has become a significant concern for US politicians, with both sides of Congress attempting to outdo each other.
Coulthart said Senator Kirsten Gillibrand from the Democrats has pledged to secure funding for the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), an office designed to share UFO intelligence between branches of US defense. “Up pops Tim Burchett and Matt Gaetz from Florida basically saying they’ve just had a secret briefing in Florida about video or some kind of imagery [that was] shown by the ‘commanding general’ of a base.”
Two Republican congressmen, both sitting on key oversight committees, have been given top-secret briefings where they were shown evidence of anomalous craft flying very close to US aircraft.
Rep. Burchett shared an interesting account of a US Navy Veteran on Project Unity who claimed to have seen a huge craft. Burchett told Jay Anderson that he received a call from a former colleague while he was out of town. He was an older gentleman, probably close to 80, and he called Burchett “Timbo.”
“I knew who he was, so I said, ‘Hey.’ I thought he was going to talk about little green men and alien abductions, but then he told me a story he had never shared with anyone except his wife.
He had been in the Navy and was on a ship, which I believe is a destroyer, in the middle of the ocean in the mid to late 1950s. A submarine came up to meet them, and they watched it fire a missile, which was likely one of the first underwater missile firings since World War II. After that, they were getting ready to go about their activities when a huge craft, which he described as two city blocks in size, appeared. It hovered over them silently and was shaped like a classic saucer.
He said there were something like portals or openings around the craft, and then it just disappeared without a sound. When they got back to port, three men in suits – I assume from the CIA or Military Intelligence – debriefed him and told him he had not seen anything. It was a matter of national security, and if he repeated it, he could be put in prison.”
Moreover, it is obvious that some individuals may speak condescendingly or make jokes about the topic, as stated by Burchett in an interview with Knox News. However, it has been reported that photos have been shared with him by pilots and those who have had military credentials. “I’ve met with scientists, some of the top people in the world, that tell me that we have extraterrestrial craft in our airspace on a regular basis,” Burchett added. (Source)
On January 12, 2023, the Office for the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) issued an unclassified report on UAPs. The report revealed that there have been 510 UAP sightings documented, with an increase of 366 sightings since the 2022 report. The new data includes sightings reported after the 2021 report and an additional 119 sightings that were discovered or reported late, but still fall within the previous report’s time frame.
Following the report’s publication, Rep. Burchett spoke out, alleging a cover-up since the 1940s and stating his distrust of the government’s actions. He believes that the American people are capable of handling the information and is calling for the release of all related information. Burchett emphasized the importance of discovering what is occurring regarding UAPs.
“I just think open records are the best thing for any kind of government. I think the more secrets you have, the more it creates corruption and other things,” Burchett told Knox News. He expressed skepticism about the claims made in the recent government report.
Burchett stated that he had been informed by reliable sources that the government possesses evidence of extraterrestrial material but has continued to publicly deny its existence. “According to (the federal government), our little minds just can’t handle (the truth), and that’s that arrogance,” he said. “I just don’t buy that.”
He believes that more individuals will come forward with information about UAP sightings now that whistleblower protections have been put in place for those who report this information. “I think it’s gonna shock people about the vastness of our universe. You really, honestly, think we’re the best that God can do?” Burchett asked.
In our solar system, the planetary orbits all have a similar orientation. Their orbital planes vary by a few degrees, but roughly the planets all orbit in the same direction. This invariable plane as it’s known also has an orientation within a few degrees of the Sun’s rotational plane. Most planetary systems have a similar arrangement, where planetary orbits and stellar rotation are roughly aligned, but a few exoplanets defy this trend, and we aren’t entirely sure why.
Common orientation within a planetary system makes sense given how planetary systems form. The protostellar cloud out of which a star and its planets form usually has some inherent rotational momentum. As a star begins to coalesce, a protoplanetary disk forms around the star. Since the planets form within this disk, they all end up with similar orbits. Things can be more complicated with binary or multiple-star systems, but you’d expect single-star planetary systems to have an invariable plane similar to ours. However, this isn’t true for a planetary system known as WASP-131, as a recent study shows.
WASP-131 is known to have at least one planet, 131b. It’s a hot gas planet with a mass a bit less than Saturn that orbits 131 every five days. Earlier studies of 131b found the planet unusual because of how thick its atmosphere is. Although its mass is only a quarter that of Jupiter, its diameter is 20% larger than Jupiter’s. 131b has such a low density for a gas planet that it’s known as a super-puff planet.
The planet was discovered via the transit method, which means it passes in front of its star from our point of view. It’s an effective way to find exoplanets, but it can also be used to verify the rotational motion of the star. Because of stellar rotation, light coming from the region of the star rotating toward us is slightly blueshifted, and light from the region rotating away from us is slightly redshifted. This means that spectral lines from the star are blurred a bit. The effect is known as Doppler broadening. As the planet passes in front of the star, it blocks a part of the blueshifted and redshifted regions in turn. This causes the spectral lines of the star to shift a bit. This Rossiter–McLaughlin effect as it’s known allows astronomers to measure the orientation of stellar rotation.
When the team analyzed the rotation of WASP-131, they found it wasn’t similar to that of its planet. The orbit of 131b is tilted about 160 degrees from the rotational plane of the star, meaning that it is in a high, almost polar retrograde orbit. Of course, this raises the question of just how the planet could have gotten such an odd orbit.
One idea is a process known as the Kozai effect. Dynamical interactions between the planet, its star, and other planets in the system can cause the orbit to shift away from the invariant planet. We see this in our own solar system with Pluto and Neptune, which has tilted Pluto’s orbit over time. The Kozai effect is more pronounced with smaller planets, however, and interaction between planet and star alone isn’t enough to explain such an inclined orbit. Another possibility is a magnetic interaction between the planet and the protoplanetary disk early in its formation period.
Although the mechanism behind the odd orbit isn’t clear, it does follow a pattern seen with many hot gas exoplanets. About a quarter of them have significantly tilted orbits. It seems that these planets sometimes get way out of line.
A Black Hole Tore a Star to Pieces. The Closest We’ve Ever Seen.
We all know that black holes are destructive monsters. Their tremendous gravitational pull sucks in anything that gets in the way. This is particularly true for supermassive black holes in the hearts of galaxies. They can tear apart stars. And, every so often—like once every, 10,000 years, that happens. The star passes too close and the black hole’s gravity shreds it.
When a star experiences a “tidal disruption event” (TDE), it lights up the core of the galaxy. Astronomers know of about 100 of these TDEs in distant galaxies. Most of the light they detect from that catastrophic event arrives in the form of X-rays and optical light. But, it turns out they can tune into infrared signals from a TDE, and MIT scientists recently captured one occurring in the galaxy NGC 7392. The galaxy lies about 137 million light-years from Earth, and the discovery at its heart is one of the first times astronomers have seen an infrared view of star-shredding by a black hole.
They named the event “WTP14adbjsh.” Because dust clouds hid the view, there were no X-ray or ultraviolet views. However, the dust absorbed a great deal of radiation from the event, and that caused the clouds to emit infrared light.
Capturing a View of a Black Hole Shredding a Star
The discovery came about almost by accident as MIT postdoc Christos Panagiotou and his colleagues were combing through data from the NEOWISE mission. It has been making scans of the sky in infrared wavelengths since 2010. The team discovered a bright flash that appeared in the data. Panagiotou wasn’t looking for tidal disruption events, actually. The team was searching for transients—sources of light that appear and then disappear. Then, they discovered this flash. “We could see there was nothing at first,” Panagiotou recalled. “Then suddenly, in late 2014, the source got brighter and by 2015 reached a high luminosity, then started going back to its previous quiescence.”
They eventually traced the flash to NGC 7392 and began asking what kind of astrophysical process could create it. “For instance, supernovae are sources that explode and brighten suddenly, then come back down, on similar timescales to tidal disruption events,” Panagiotou said. “But supernovae are not as luminous and energetic as what we observed.”
Eventually, the team figured out that the flash was due to a TDE—that is, a star being ripped apart by a supermassive black hole. It fit the data and, if it panned out, was the closest one astronomers have ever observed.
Proving a TDE
It’s one thing to claim that the transient flash of light was a star getting shredded by a black hole, but how to prove it? First, the team had to understand the black hole and its environment. So, they studied the galaxy. Data from a variety of sources showed the galaxy had a supermassive black hole about 30 million times as massive as the Sun. That’s actually pretty massive. “This is almost 10 times larger than the black hole we have at our galactic center, so it’s quite massive, though black holes can get up to 10 billion solar masses,” Panagiotou said.
For a star to get close enough to encounter the black hole means the galaxy has a population of stars and could be creating some in the vicinity of the black hole. The observations at different wavelengths showed that NGC 7392 is busily creating new stars. However, it’s not as active as some galaxies and is busier than others. It’s considered a “green” star-forming galaxy. That’s because it produces a few stars, enough to provide something for the black hole to eat. It turns out that most TDEs happened in the rare type of “green” galaxy.
However, there’s one other factor to consider. Star-forming galaxies produce a lot of dust, particularly at the core. Infrared light can get through most of the dust, whereas X-ray, optical, or ultraviolet light gets blocked. So, this may be a factor in why astronomers haven’t detected more TDEs in star-forming galaxies when they look using conventional optical telescopes.
The Future of Observing TDEs is Infrared
This discovery points to a need for more infrared observations of galaxies to search out TDEs. “The fact that optical and X-ray surveys missed this luminous TDE in our own backyard is very illuminating and demonstrates that these surveys are only giving us a partial census of the total population of TDEs,” said Suvi Gezari, associate astronomer and chair of the science staff at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Maryland, who was not involved in the study. “Using infrared surveys to catch the dust echo of obscured TDEs … has already shown us that there is a population of TDEs in dusty, star-forming galaxies that we have been missing.”
Interestingly, the TESS satellite (best known for its exoplanet searches) also caught a TDE in 2019. A ground-based survey called the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN) alerted astronomers. They were able to get other observations, including from TESS to follow the progress of the event.

John L Walson : "This person, Gerry Gilmore FInstP ScD, Professor of Experimental Philosophy, Institute of Astronomy Cambridge, said this after looking at my telescope footage, he must have knowledge of the Star Wars project to know what they look like to make the this comment.
Gerry Gilmore FInstP ScD: "Hello and my congratulations on your superb astrophotography You are clearly getting some images at almost the diffraction limit of your telescope. In the very sharpest images there are hints of diffraction rings visible on the edges of the satellites."
"That is of course the absolute limit of optical performance, and is only rarely attained. Interestingly, the process you have, of using a high-quality imaging system, with fast read-out, and then selecting the rare `perfect' images is something which has been developed and applied somewhat by one of my colleagues here."
"The MIT Lincoln Laboratory (located in Lexington, Massachusetts, is a United States Department of Defense federally funded research and development center chartered to apply advanced technology to problems of national security) is the group which has built some of the things you are seeing. Much of what they do is what used to be the Star wars project, which no doubt involves some of your objects. They don't talk about the military satellites, of course, but there are many discussions of earth surveillance, and related issues. It is distributed only to academic organizations."
In the following video, John L Watson and John Lear show us such a highly advanced Star Wars-like spacecraft and while the craft looks alien it is more likely a man-made space weapon that is in orbit around a large body such as a planet, like earth or the moon. Official there are no known operative orbital weapons systems but the craft captured by John L Walson and the comment made by Gerry Gilmore FInstP ScD proves otherwise.
The Unexplained World of Animal Mutilations: A Paranormal Enigma
The Unexplained World of Animal Mutilations: A Paranormal Enigma
Mysterious animal mutilations have long puzzled farmers, scientists, and paranormal enthusiasts alike. The inexplicable phenomenon involves the killing and mutilation of various animals, particularly cattle, under bizarre and unexplained circumstances. Reports of these incidents feature precise, bloodless excisions of specific body parts such as ears, eyeballs, jaw flesh, tongue, lymph nodes, genitals, and rectum. The perplexing nature of these mutilations has given rise to various theories, including extraterrestrial involvement and secret government experiments. This article delves into the eerie world of animal mutilations, exploring the history, prominent researchers, and potential explanations behind this enigmatic phenomenon.
A Look into the Past
The first recorded instance of unexplained livestock deaths dates back to the early 1600s in England. However, it wasn’t until the 20th century that the phenomenon gained wider attention. In 1967, a Colorado newspaper published a story about a mysteriously killed and mutilated horse named Lady near Alamosa, Colorado. This case marked the beginning of speculation that extraterrestrial beings and unidentified flying objects (UFOs) might be linked to these mutilations.
Linda Moulton Howe, a prominent researcher in this field, produced a documentary in 1980 called “A Strange Harvest,” (Amazon link) which suggested that extraterrestrial beings could be responsible for the mutilations. The documentary proposed that these beings harvest body parts for their survival or research, and that the U.S. government might be complicit. The film received a Regional Emmy award in 1981, raising awareness of this peculiar phenomenon.
Unexplained Cases Around the Globe
Cases of animal mutilations have been reported worldwide, involving various species such as sheep, horses, goats, pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, bison, deer, and elk. In Argentina, a farmer discovered seven cows mutilated with clean incisions and no signs of blood, sparking debate about the possible involvement of aliens or mythical creatures like the chupacabra.
In the United Kingdom, David Cayton, a leading researcher on animal mutilations, formed the Animal Pathology Field Unit (APFU) in 2001 to investigate cases involving domestic and wild animals. The APFU has also expanded its investigations to include sea mammal mutilations, such as seals found decapitated and bloodless in the Orkney Islands.
Conspiracy Theories and Explanations
The mysterious nature of these mutilations has given rise to several conspiracy theories, including secret government experiments, satanic cults, and alien involvement. The APFU suggests that UFO activity at mutilation sites, highly skilled organ extractions, and lack of any official explanation support the possibility of extraterrestrial involvement.
Despite these theories, the UK government maintains that animal mutilations are distressing incidents for farmers and are being investigated by the appropriate authorities. Nevertheless, the bizarre and enigmatic nature of these mutilations continues to baffle researchers and spark conspiracy theories, making it a captivating topic for those interested in the paranormal and unexplained.

The world of animal mutilations remains shrouded in mystery and intrigue. With countless cases reported worldwide and no definitive explanation, the phenomenon continues to captivate paranormal enthusiasts and conspiracy theorists. Whether the truth lies in extraterrestrial involvement, secret government experiments, or an as-yet-unknown cause, the eerie enigma of animal mutilations persists as a fascinating and haunting puzzle waiting to be solved.
Is There an Ancient Terrestrial Civilization Below the Surface of Our World? Do They Pretend to be Extraterrestrial?
Have you ever given thought to the possibility that extraterrestrial creatures might be living on our planet, but deep below the surface of the Earth? The scenario is a decidedly unsettling one: potential dangerous extraterrestrials that, possibly thousands of years ago, chose to make our world their world – or, at least, portions of the Earth: those that are almost impenetrable; at least to us. But not to them. One person who pursued this particular theory was Mac Tonnies, who passed away in 2009; but not before his book, The Cryptoterrestrials, could be finished. Reptilain aliens, bug-eyed and insect-like extraterrestrials were all the forefront of Tonnies research – and just happen to be two types of entities highlighted in this book. Tonnies concluded that alien abductions, the abilities of the assumed ETs to breathe our air, and their concerns about nuclear war were all due to one fact: the aliens were from right here. And they always have been.
I was fortunate enough to interview Tonnies just a few months before his passing and he shared with me a wealth of fascinating data on his thoughts, suspicions and conclusions. Let’s see what he had to say: “After devouring countless books on the UFO controversy and the paranormal, I began to acknowledge that the extraterrestrial hypothesis suffered some tantalizing flaws. In short, the ‘aliens’ seemed more like surreal caricatures of ourselves than beings possessing the god-like technology one might plausibly expect from interstellar visitors. Like [UFO researcher] Jacques Vallee, I came to the realization that the extraterrestrial hypothesis isn’t strange enough to encompass the entirety of occupant cases. But if we’re dealing with humanoid beings that evolved here on earth, some of the problems vanish.”
Tonnies continued: “I envision the cryptoterrestrials engaged in a process of subterfuge, bending our belief systems to their own ends. And I suggest that this has been occurring, in form or another, for an extraordinarily long time. I think there’s a good deal of folkloric and mythological evidence pointing in this direction, and I find it most interesting that so many descriptions of ostensible ‘aliens’ seem to reflect staged events designed to misdirect witnesses and muddle their perceptions. During the course of his research into the Cryptoterrestrial theory, Tonnies spent a great deal of time addressing the matter of alien abductions. For those who aren’t fully aware of the nature of the phenomenon, a bit of background data is required.
Regardless of whether people believe or don’t believe in the reality of the alien abduction phenomenon, there is no doubt that the vast majority of people have heard of it. It was, however, a phenomenon that was pretty much unknown until September 19, 1961. Yes, there were a few, earlier cases, but, for the most part, they were not publicized until after September 19. So, what, exactly is so significant about that particular date? The answer is that it was the date of a now-historic UFO event which occurred to a married couple from New Hampshire. They were Betty and Barney Hill. At the time in question, the Hills were driving home from a vacation in Canada, when the journey suddenly took on strange and unearthly proportions. It was on a dark stretch of road that the Hills caught sight of a curious light in the sky; it even seemed to be monitoring or shadowing them. They watched it for a while, and then something really strange happened: the Hills became confused, experienced a sense of missing time – of several hours, no less – and after getting home suffered from weird and traumatic dreams; they were dreams which suggested they may have been taken on-board the craft and even experimented on by weird-looking, humanoid figures. In no time at all, the dreams became definitive nightmares. Something had to be done. And, it was.
When things got really bad for the Hills, and the nightmares and stress began to overwhelm them (Barney, for example, developed stomach ulcers), they sought help; it was a very good idea, as that same help led to answers for what happened on that mystery-filled drive back to New Hampshire. They were put in touch with a neurologist and psychiatrist who operated out of Boston, Massachusetts, named Benjamin Simon. Clearly aware that the Hills were in deep states of anxiety, he elected to subject them to regressive hypnosis – with the permission of Betty and Barney, of course. What followed next can only be described as incredible. Both husband and wife told near-identical stories of being taken from their vehicle, onto what can only be described as an unidentified flying object, and subjected to a series of medical procedures – most of which were very intrusive and stressful. Frightening, even. The encounter went on for roughly two hours. So detailed were the memories of Betty and Barney that the time Benjamin Simon worked with the Hills went on for months.
Such was the phenomenal reaction to the story of Betty and Barney Hill, it prompted author John Fuller to write a book on the subject, titled The Interrupted Journey – an appropriate title, indeed – and which was published in 1966. Since then, the alien abduction phenomenon has grown and grown and spread like wildfire. We may never know for sure how many people believe they may have been kidnapped and experimented on by black-eyed, dwarfish beings from far away galaxies. After all, not everyone wants publicity – and particularly so not publicity of a very controversial type. In that sense, there may be as many silent abductees as there are publicly visible ones. To demonstrate the sheer level of experiences on record, though, it is worth noting that after Whitley Strieber’s 1987 alien abduction-themed book, Communion, was published Strieber and his late wife, Anne received letters from the public in no less than six figures. Other books, such as Budd Hopkins’ Missing Time and Dr. John Mack’s Passport to the Cosmos, have added to the controversy and given it more publicity.
As for what may be behind the abductions, certainly the most controversial and widespread belief is that alien entities are engaged in a massive, covert program to create what may amount to untold numbers of untold alien-human hybrids. Some researchers and abductees believe the outcome of the rise of the hybrids will be a positive one: the dawning of a new world, filled with prosperity and peace. Dr. David Jacobs, though, in his books, The Threat and Walking Among Us, concludes that the hybrid issue is downright dangerous, and that we are being infiltrated by aliens who, bit by bit, are infiltrating us with one goal in mind: complete control. That many abductees believe they have been implanted with devices that have an unclear agenda, adds weight to the theory that the alien abduction issue is a threat to both national security and the people of Earth. But, what if there was a far more down to earth explanation for the alien abduction phenomenon? That question brings us back to Mac Tonnies:
“I regard the alleged ‘hybridization program’ with skepticism. How sure are we that these interlopers are extraterrestrial? It seems more sensible to assume that the so-called aliens are human, at least in some respects. Indeed, descriptions of intercourse with aliens fly in the face of exobiological thought. If the cryptoterrestrial population is genetically impoverished, as I assume it is, then it might rely on a harvest of human genes to augment its dwindling gene-pool. It would be more advantageous to have us believe we’re dealing with omnipotent extraterrestrials rather than a fallible sister species. The ET-UFO mythos may be due, in part, to a long-running and most successful disinformation campaign.” Tonnies then turned his attention to the claims of Antonio Villas Boas, a Brazilian lawyer who claimed that, in 1957, as a young man and while living on his family’s farm at the time, he was abducted onto a UFO and had sex with a surprisingly hot-looking space-babe. Tonnies said of Villas-Boas’ story:
“After intercourse, the big-eyed succubus that seduced Antonio Villas-Boas pointed skyward, implying a cosmic origin. But the mere fact that she appeared thoroughly female, and, moreover, attractive, belies an unearthly explanation. Further, one could argue that the clinical environment he encountered aboard the landed ‘spacecraft’ was deliberately engineered to reinforce his conviction that he was dealing with extraterrestrials. “If cryptoterrestrials are using humans to improve their genetic stock, it stands to reason they’ve seen at least a few of our saucer movies. As consummate anthropologists, they likely know what we expect of ‘real’ extraterrestrials and can satisfy our preconceptions with a magician’s skill. Their desire for our continued survival, if only for the sake of our genetic material, may have played a substantial role in helping us to avoid extinction during the Cold War, when the UFO phenomenon evolved in our skies; much to the consternation of officialdom.” It is indeed a fact that in the early to late 1950s, countless people across the planet claimed close encounters with very human-looking aliens, who demanded we lay down our atomic weapons, lest we turn our planet into a radioactive wasteland, all but bereft of life.
Of course, this begs an important question: why would aliens from a planet in a star-system who-knows-how-many light-years away, even care about what might happen – of a cataclysmic nature – on our world? Well, a good argument can be made that they wouldn’t care. Why should they? But, if, as Tonnies suspected and suggested, the ‘aliens’ are really Cryptotererstrials from right here, then their fears that we might destroy the Earth become far more understandable: they are forced to share the planet with the most violent and destructive species on the entire planet: us, the human race. Tonnies says of what became known as “the Space Brothers”: “Commentators regularly assume that all the Contactees [a term for those who claimed encounters with human-like aliens, chiefly in the 1950s] were lying or else delusional. But if we’re experiencing a staged reality, some of the beings encountered by the Contactees might have been real and the common messages of universal brotherhood could have been a sincere attempt to curb our destructive tendencies. The extraterrestrial guise would have served as a prudent disguise, neatly misdirecting our attention and leading us to ask the wrong questions; which we’re still asking with no substantial results.”
When, in 2008, Tonnies began to talk and write publicly about the Cryptotererstrial theory, he got mixed responses from UFO researchers, as Tonnies himself admitted to me: “The cryptoterrestrial theory has met with mixed reactions. Some seem to think that I’m onto something. Most UFO researchers are, at best, extremely skeptical. Others think I’m parroting John Keel’s ‘superspectrum’ [Keel was the author of the acclaimed 1975 book, The Mothman Prophecies], a variation on the ‘parallel worlds’ theme that in turn shares memes with Jacques Vallee’s ‘multiverse.’ Both ideas suggest that we somehow occupy dimensional space with our ‘alien’ visitors, doing away with the need for extraterrestrial spacecraft while helping explain the sense of absurdity that accompanies many UFO and occupant sightings. Keel and Vallee have both ventured essentially ‘occult’ ideas in cosmological terms; both the ‘superspectrum’ and the ‘multiverse’ require a revision of our understanding of the way reality itself works. But the cryptoterrestrial hypothesis is grounded in a more familiar context.”
Tonnies expanded: “I’m not suggesting unseen dimensions or the need for ufonauts to ‘downshift’ to our level of consciousness. Rather, I’m asking if it’s feasible that the alleged aliens that occupy historical and contemporary mythology are flesh-and-blood human-like creatures that live right here on Earth. Not another version of Earth in some parallel Cosmos, but on Earth. While I can’t automatically exclude the UFO phenomenon’s ‘paranormal’ aspects, I can attempt to explain them in technological terms. For example, I see no damning theoretical reason why ‘telepathy’ and ‘dematerialization’ can’t ultimately be explained by appealing to cybernetics, nano-technology and other fields generally excluded from ufological discourse.” He concluded: “The cryptoterrestrial hypothesis manages to alienate champions of the extraterrestrial hypothesis and those who support a more esoteric, ‘inter-dimensional’ explanation. It offers no clear-cut reconciliation. It does, however, wield explanatory potential lacking in both camps.” Echoing Tonnies’ words were those of long-time UFO investigator, Timothy Green Beckley, who has his own tale of the Cryptoterrestrial kind to share: “Some people might suggest that because the Space-Brothers look so much like us that they could be from somewhere right here on Earth – an ancient race, maybe. There are a lot of cultural legends about advanced beings living underground: UFOs coming out of the oceans, lakes, caverns. The whole hollow-Earth thing is a little hard for me; but the caverns theory I can take.
“I remember once incident, 1970s, where I was lecturing and a gentleman – a professor at the college where I was lecturing – came up to me and told this story about how he was driving outside of a town in Michigan. It was rather late at night, and he saw these lights in the woods. He pulled over, and there was no other traffic coming in either direction; but there was already another car parked at the side of the road. “He described seeing some sort of ship in the distance – a UFO. A group of human-like aliens got out, walked to the car, which was a Cadillac, or something like that. He watched them and could see they looked human. They just got in the car and drove off. But then, a couple of weeks later, he sees one of the same guys in a supermarket. These reports sound far-fetched; but there’s so many of them of what seem to be aliens being able to move among us. But, if they’re really from here, that might explain it.” Now, we get to the issue of a U.S. Government cover-up concerning the Cryptoterrestrials.
While Mac Tonnies’ admittedly intriguing theory was simply that – a theory – there is an even more intriguing aspect to this story, one which comes from a former employee of the U.S. Government. He writes under the pen-name of E.A. Guest. His real name, however, is Walter Bosley, who served in both the U.S Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He has revealed a startling story told to him by his father, who was also a respected figure within the U.S. military. In the 1950s, Bosley’s father worked on various projects that would ultimately have a significant bearing upon the manned space-program, including “training pilots in altitude chambers” and “flight medicine training.” At one point in his career, Bosley’s father was ordered to attend a briefing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. It was a briefing on none other than the legendary UFO crash outside of Roswell, New Mexico in early July 1947. Despite what UFO researchers – and a sizeable amount of the public think – Bosley says his father told him that nothing of an extraterrestrial nature crashed at Roswell on that fateful – and, for the crew, fatal – day. In Bosley Jr.’s very own words: “According to my father, these vehicles came from inside the planet. The civilization…exists in a vast, underground system of caverns and tunnels beneath the southwest and is human.”
“Occasionally, they come and go, emerging in their vehicles and occasionally they crash. They are human in appearance, so much so that they can move among us with ease [and] with just a little effort. If you get a close look, you’d notice something odd, but not if the person just passed you on the street.” Significantly, Walter Bosley says: “I believe that the ET hypothesis has been used by the ‘aliens’ themselves, because it is most readily embraced by people who have had encounters with them.” Bosley’s words bring us back to Mac Tonnies, and his theories on the conspiracy-filled Roswell affair of July 1947. In his 2009 book, The Cryptoterrestrials, Tonnies speculated on the possibility that the Roswell craft was balloon-like and built, flown, and disastrously crashed, by ancient humanoids that lurk in the depths of the planet. Controversial? Yes. But he made some interesting observations on this possibility. In Tonnies’ own words:
“The device that crashed near Roswell in the summer of 1947, whatever it was, featured properties at least superficially like the high-altitude balloon trains ultimately cited as an explanation by the Air Force. Debunkers have, of course, seized on the lack of revealingly ‘high-tech’ components found among the debris to dismiss the possibility that the crash was anything but a case of misidentification; not even Major Jesse Marcel, the intelligence officer who advocated an ET origin for the unusual foil and structural beams, mentioned anything remotely resembling an engine or power-plant.” Tonnies continued, in a fashion that emphasized the Cryptoterrestrials may not be as scientifically and technologically advanced as they might prefer us to think they are: “The cryptoterrestrial hypothesis offers a speculative alternative: maybe the Roswell device wasn’t high-tech. It could indeed have been a balloon-borne surveillance device brought down in a storm, but it doesn’t logically follow that is was one of our own. Upon happening across such a troubling find, the Air Force’s excessive secrecy begins to make sense.”
Regardless of what you, me, or indeed any number of the well-known Roswell researchers/authors – such as Bill Moore, Kevin Randle, Stan Friedman, or Don Schmitt – might think or conclude, the fact is that Tonnies’ Cryptoterrestrial theory is probably the only one that allows for the Roswell crash site to have been comprised of very unusual, non-Homo-sapiens, but, at the same time, incredibly simplistic technology. The alien theory should, of course, require highly advanced technology to have been recovered – yet, we hear very little on this matter, aside from talk of fields full of foil-like material with curious properties. Accounts of the military coming across alien-created “power-plants” and “engines” – as Tonnies described them – are curiously absent from the Roswell affair. It’s that aforementioned foil and not much else. Perhaps, Tonnies was indeed on the right track when it came to Roswell. Maybe, Walter Bosley, who still pursues the story, is still on the right track. And, just perhaps, it was the Roswell affair that – quite out of the blue – led the U.S. military to realize, to both its amazement and its fear, that we are not the only species of human on the planet. And, in the process, a huge cover-up was initiated to ensure that the world never gets to know the true story of Roswell’s Cryptoterrestrials. If you buy into it, all.

A Former CIA Agent and a Scientist Link UFOs to Earthquakes and Seismic Activities
Paul Seaburn
When it comes to UFOs and natural disasters, the first thing that comes to mind is all of the UFOs that seem to appear around volcanoes, both active and inactive. The very active Popocatépetl stratovolcano located in central Mexico is a prime example – the ring of cameras surrounding it to provide early warnings of eruptions to local residents regularly record unusual objects and shapes that seem to be entering, exiting and flying over Popocatépetl. Because the quality of these video cameras is low, the objects could be ash, erupted rocks, birds, bugs, planes, drones or other flying objects. However, that doesn’t cover all of them, and the high number of UFOs around other volcanoes suggests to many that they may be ships using the volcano to travel to and from an underground base where extraterrestrials may be refueling or monitoring Earth. Another natural disaster often linked to UFOs is earthquakes, especially the phenomenon known as “earthquake lights.”
These luminous flashes appear similar to auroras and there is no consensus as to what part of seismic activity may be causing them – from tectonic plates scraping to electrical grids sparking. While earthquake lights generally appear during or after the seismic events, a former CIA agent and UFO researcher has come forward recently with the claim that pre-earthquake UFOs are actually warnings of pending quakes … and both we and seismologists should start paying more attention to them. In fact, one scientist has long agreed with him. Could these phenomena also explain some of the Popocatépetl and other volcanic UFOs?
“It is widely acknowledged that as much as 95% of publicly reported UFO activity can be linked to secret, classified, or sensitive projects and airborne national security operations.”
Andrew Bustamante describes himself as a former covert CIA intelligence officer, a US Air Force combat veteran, and Fortune 10 corporate advisor. He is perhaps best known as a speaker and consultant – through his “Everydayspy” Program, he offers to teach others how to use the mental, physical, and social spy skills he learned in the CIA to “master their mind, leverage their talents, and achieve their potential.” Bustamante is also a UFO researcher and explains in a report from Everydayspy how all governments take UFOs very seriously – despite what we’ve been led to believe. That interest is at an all-time high due to rapid advancements in air travel, drone technology, and the commercialization of space travel. This has resulted in a historic worldwide high in aircraft crashes, inflight emergencies, near-miss collisions, and unidentified aerial phenomena sightings. Bustamante says that 95% of these are caused by humans. He discusses some of the other 5% on a recent podcast hosted by Shawn Ryan, a former U.S. Navy SEAL and CIA Contractor.
“There's so much in the sky that they see it all the time and we don't know what we're looking at. A satellite looks pretty clear – it moves in a straight line – but the stuff that's up there isn't always a satellite. I've seen strange glowing orbs, like balls of light that change direction, and I have no idea what that is. Could it be an alien aircraft or a domestic aircraft that forgot to turn off its headlights? Maybe.”
Or maybe not. Bustamante first brings up the idea of ball lightning – another unexplained luminescent aerial phenomenon shaped like balls or orbs that are most often seen with thunderstorms but rarely behave like conventional lightning. Besides their different shapes and colors, they are visible longer (up to a minute), travel slower, move erratically in all directions and behave in other ways that defy conventional weather or electrical science … so it is no wonder that they are often thought to be of alien or sometimes demonic origin. Bustamante then moves to another natural phenomenon and the strange unidentified aerial phenomena associated with them … earthquakes and earthquake lights.
“There's also pre-indicators of earthquakes, such as a geological effects that release electromagnetic energy into the atmosphere. When the energy comes up from a fault line and comes into contact with certain conditions in the atmosphere it creates lights in clouds, and all of a sudden lights in clouds are floating.”
While most earthquake researchers say the earthquake lights occur during the actual quake activity and aftershocks, Bustamante’s experiences and research suggest to him that these earthquake UFOs occur BEFORE they happen and should be studied as harbingers of upcoming seismic activity – both earthquakes and volcanoes.
"Every time the earth moves violently, which happens pretty often, there's a strong possibility of you seeing a UFO. They can produce a number of things like luminosities, electromagnetic disturbances which some people may interpret as unusual observations or sometimes even UFOs."
A recent article about UFOs and their connections to natural disasters in The U.S. Sun quotes the late Dr. Michael Persinger, a professor of psychology at Laurentian University who studied how subtle changes in geomagnetic activity could cause parapsychological phenomena, and how tectonic movement in the Earth's crust could cause luminous phenomena attributed to UFOs. His Tectonic Strain Theory (TST) suggested that luminous phenomena and associated physical effects in humans were caused by manifestations of tectonic strain and could precede earthquakes by as much as weeks.
"They can produce a number of things like luminosities, electromagnetic disturbances which some people may interpret as unusual observations or sometimes even UFOs."
Persinger did not like calling these luminous phenomena “UFOs” because they have natural causes and are not extraterrestrial. However, he confused the issue by attributing so many other psychological phenomena with earthquakes and seismeic disturbances.
"You can get paralyses, feelings of foreboding, dream-like states, and a number of peripheral effects."
We could defintiely use an earthquake warning system
Former CIA covert intelligence officer Andrew Bustamante thinks all leading governments are well aware of UFOs and studying them intently. He believes that 95% of UAP are explained by human-made technology. He also believes that some of the other 5%, particularly orbs and luminescent UFOs, are warnings of impending earthquakes and other seismic activities. The late Dr. Michael Persinger believed that low level seismic activities could cause lights as well as psychological forces which might cause humans to interpret these lights as extraterrestrial UFOs when they’re actually earthquake warning signs.
With the recent huge losses of life and damages caused by quakes and volcanic eruptions around the world, is it time to listen to Bustamante and Persinger and link some UFO orbs to earthquakes and volcanoes and treat them as early warning signs?
