If humans went extinct, what would the Earth look like one year later?
If humans went extinct, what would the Earth look like one year later?
Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if everyone suddenly disappeared?
What would happen to all our stuff? What would happen to our houses, our schools, our neighborhoods, our cities? Who would feed the dog? Who would cut the grass? Although it’s a common theme in movies, TV shows and books, the end of humanity is still a strange thing to think about.
But as an associate professor of urban design – that is, someone who helps towns and cities plan what their communities will look like – it’s sometimes my job to think about prospects like this.
If humans just disappeared from the world, and you could come back to Earth to see what had happened one year later, the first thing you’d notice wouldn’t be with your eyes.
It would be with your ears.
The world would be quiet. And you would realize how much noise people make. Our buildings are noisy. Our cars are noisy. Our sky is noisy. All of that noise would stop.
You’d notice the weather. After a year without people, the sky would be bluer, the air clearer. The wind and the rain would scrub clean the surface of the Earth; all the smog and dust that humans make would be gone.
Home sweet home
Imagine that first year, when your house would sit unbothered by anyone.
Go inside your house – and hope you’re not thirsty, because no water would be in your faucets. Water systems require constant pumping. If no one’s at the public water supply to manage the machines that pump water, then there’s no water.
But the water that was in the pipes when everyone disappeared would still be there when the first winter came – so on the first cold snap, the frigid air would freeze the water in the pipes and burst them.
There would be no electricity. Power plants would stop working because no one would monitor them and maintain a supply of fuel. So your house would be dark, with no lights, TV, phones or computers.
Your house would be dusty. Actually, there’s dust in the air all the time, but we don’t notice it because our air conditioning systems and heaters blow air around. And as you move through the rooms in your house, you keep dust on the move too. But once all that stops, the air inside your house would be still and the dust would settle all over.
The grass in your yard would grow – and grow and grow until it got so long and floppy it would stop growing. New weeds would appear, and they would be everywhere.
Lots of plants that you’ve never seen before would take root in your yard. Every time a tree drops a seed, a little sapling might grow. No one would be there to pull it out or cut it down.
You’d notice a lot more bugs buzzing around. Remember, people tend to do everything they can to get rid of bugs. They spray the air and the ground with bug spray. They remove bug habitat. They put screens on the windows. And if that doesn’t work, they swat them.
Without people doing all these things, the bugs would come back. They would have free rein of the world again.
First the little ones: mice, groundhogs, raccoons, skunks, foxes and beavers. That last one might surprise you, but North America was once rich with beavers.
Bigger animals would come later – deer, coyotes and the occasional bear. Not in the first year, maybe, but eventually.
With no electric lights, the rhythm of the natural world would return. The only light would be from the Sun, the Moon and the stars. The night critters would feel good they got their dark sky back.
Fires would happen frequently. Lightning might strike a tree or a field and set brush on fire, or hit the houses and buildings. Without people to put them out, those fires would keeping going until they burned themselves out.
Around your city
After just one year, the concrete stuff – roads, highways, bridges and buildings – would look about the same.
Come back, say, a decade later, and cracks in them would have appeared, with little plants wiggling up through them. This happens because the Earth is constantly moving. With this motion comes pressure, and with this pressure come cracks. Eventually, the roads would crack so much they would look like broken glass, and even trees would grow through them.
The dams and levees that people have built on the rivers and streams of the world would erode. Farms would fall back to nature. The plants we eat would begin to disappear. Not much corn or potatoes or tomatoes anymore.
Farm animals would be easy prey for bears, coyotes, wolves and panthers. And pets? The cats would go feral – that is, they would become wild, though many would be preyed upon by larger animals. Most dogs wouldn’t survive, either.
Like ancient Rome
In a thousand years, the world you remember would still be vaguely recognizable. Some things would remain; it would depend on the materials they were made of, the climate they’re in, and just plain luck. An apartment building here, a movie theater there, or a crumbling shopping mall would stand as monuments to a lost civilization. The Roman Empire collapsed more than 1,500 years ago, yet you can see some remnants even today.
If nothing else, humans’ suddenly vanishing from the world would reveal something about the way we treated the Earth. It would also show us that the world we have today can’t survive without us and that we can’t survive if we don’t care for it. To keep it working, civilization – like anything else – requires constant upkeep.
UFO expert Paul Ascough seems to think so. He asserts that a race of "gray aliens" arrived during World War II and has been actively involved in the development of flying saucers ever since.
Ascough, an ex-military officer and current member of a British UFO research team, was featured in the Daily Star stating: "There are several authors and investigators who believe that western governments have colluded with the ‘grey’ Aliens to such an extent that advanced technologies have been passed down to them and an ongoing dialogue and cooperation exists even now."
According to Ascough, this partnership has given rise to significant breakthroughs, such as fiber optics, microchips, synthetic fiber kevlar, stealth technology, and even the creation of our own flying saucers. While several writers have covered these topics over the years, and numerous photographs have been taken, including sightings of jet planes escorting UFOs and the frequent occurrence of black helicopters, no government agency has acknowledged these claims.
Furthermore, Ascough highlights the work of author Timothy Good, who has gathered substantial evidence suggesting ongoing collusion between Western governments and extraterrestrial beings on both sides of the Atlantic.
Ascough asserts: "I believe this collusion between Western governments and the aliens has been going on since WWII. A large part of our progress in the fields of science, engineering and communication has accelerated at a tremendous pace, partly because of this."
In his book, UFOs - The Real Story, Ascough reveals that individuals who encounter these aliens are visited by the real-life "Men in Black." However, he clarifies that these men differ greatly from the portrayal in the 1997 film starring Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith.
Sinister visits haunt UFO experts
"More recently many Ufologists now believe that much of the secret projects have moved to the Dugway Proving Grounds, which is a top-secret facility even more remote than Area 51 and used for Chemical Warfare Training, located south of Salt Lake City it has been dubbed Area 52," he adds.
“Others who have claimed to work in Area 51 and were going to publish information about this have allegedly been silenced by 'Men In Black.'"
“Now unfortunately I am not referring to Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, the benevolent duo from the film of the same name, but a group of men or individuals who appear uninvited on witness’s doorsteps and intimidate them into silence.
“These men in black seem to fall into two groups, the first of which are more observing, it appears that they just need to confirm what the witness had seen, [and] then leave without being too intimidating.
“That can’t be said for the second group who appear to be very intimidating indeed, leaving the innocent observer with the impression that whatever they witnessed, any evidence written or photographed will be destroyed, never to be spoken of again under any circumstances, or dire consequences will follow.
“A common thread of witness’s testimony of visits by the men in black, are that they don’t show ID, don’t actually state which governmental department they work for, can appear very robot-like, may suddenly appear or disappear, talk very little, are very succinct and to the point and can be very, very threatening and intimidating.”
For a number of years, the Admiral Wilson UFO document, which previously used to be considered a hoax, has been in the public domain. But as the UFO disclosure pace fastened, the hoax is seemingly turning into an authentic document that author & researcher Richard Dolan called the “UFO leak of the century.” Moreover, to confirm the authenticity of Wilson’s UFO leak, there are two credible personalities: Standford professor Gary Nolan and former manager of Special Projects for Los Alamos Labs, USN Vet, Oke Shannon (his name is mentioned in the document).
Brief Overview of Wilson-Davis Memo
In 2002, after a meeting with former Admiral Thomas R. Wilson, who had been the head of intelligence for the Joint Chiefs back in the 1990s, Dr. Eric Davis, a former Pentagon physicist supposedly took a transcript of the conversation.
Somehow, these documents found their way into the public domain after they were discovered in the files of the now deceased Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell. These 15 pages of notes describe Admiral Wilson’s discovery of a deeply classified program to study extraterrestrial technology.
During this alleged conversation, Admiral Wilson tells Eric Davis about a series of programs that he discovered hidden deep within the black project’s records of the Pentagon that were actively involved in attempts to reverse engineer a recovered craft that they believed could operate in air, sea, space or perhaps even in other dimensions. The program manager concluded that the craft was not man-made.
The claims have been hotly debated among ufologists but never corroborated. The DIA director at the time, Vice Adm. Thomas Wilson has reportedly denied it all. Numerous national security experts and researchers have also dismissed it as a hoax. (Source)
But one of the other primary individuals cited in the document, astrophysicist Eric Davis has not directly addressed it in public, only fueling suspicions that there might be something to it. And Davis alluded to the possibility of some of the claims contained in the alleged memo as recently as last year in an interview in The New York Times.
Key Witness
Jay Anderson, a founder of Project Unity has recently interviewed Oke Shannon, whose name is mentioned in the documents multiple times. Shannon confirmed that “what was said about him in these notes is accurate, further proving that the conversation between Admiral Wilson and Eric Davis did indeed take place, and they really did discuss the reality that a recovered, non-human vehicle, is being studied in extreme secrecy by a shadowy, quasi-governmental working group that is evading standardized oversight, operating outside of the reservation of government control,” wrote Anderson.
Oke Shannon is a US Navy Veteran and a physicist. He was the manager of all Special Projects at Los Alamos National Labs, one of the highest funded and most secretive US Government Research Facilities in the United States.
Below is a transcript of the conversation held between Oke Shannon (OS) and Jay Anderson (JA) discussing the Wilson-Davis Memo: (Source)
JA: I think it’s important that we just get your side of this on the record so I would just like to be able to ask you first of all whether or not you personally know Dr. Eric W Davis.
OS: Yeah! I didn’t work with him day in and day out but I did work with him. I know him fairly well. (Shannon said he got to know Davis through mutual projects and mutual acquaintances.)
JA: Do you personally know Admiral Thomas R Wilson?
OS: Yes I do. Of course, I know of him but I read somewhere that his response was Oke who? and I thought that was kind of funny. I’m sure that my memory of him is stronger than his memory of me because he became a flag officer, and I went off.
JA: Did Admiral Wilson get in contact with you in 2001 or 2002 inquiring into the background and overall trustworthiness of Dr Eric Davis?
OS: Earlier than that. This was in 1999. I got this phone call and it was from Admiral Wilson. He wanted to know was could he trust Eric Davis. I mentioned that YES I believe that Eric Davis was an honorable and conscientious scientist and that he would honor any restrictions the Admiral might put on.
JA: One last question on these notes. I just wanted to kind of get it in a confirmatory statement. So, in these notes that were recovered from Dr. Edgar Mitchell’s estate that are a transcription of an alleged meeting that took place between Admiral Wilson and Dr. Eric Davis. It’s mentioned within the trust a transcript of their conversation that you were difficult to get in touch with at the time you were in poor health due to heart conditions and were not easy to get hold. So this is true in of itself you were struggling with that?
OS: Yeah so it was difficult to get in touch with and I might add to that I’m still difficult to get in touch with.
During 2022 US Congress hearings on UFOs, Rep. Mike Gallagher asked Ronald Moultrie, the top Pentagon intelligence official, and Scott Bray, the deputy director of naval intelligence, whether they were aware of an unverified 2002 document known as the “Wilson-Davis memo.” (Source)
“There’s nothing we can offer or help out with on your request,” a spokesperson for the federal think tank said. As for Moultrie and Bray, they told Gallagher that they were unfamiliar with the Wilson-Davis document. The fact the document was even broached — and then entered into the official hearing record — was shocking to those who have followed the saga.
However, not many would be satisfied with the Pentagon’s response to Rep. Gallagher on the Wilson-Davis leak. There is another expert named Dr. Gary Nolan, a Stanford Professor who claimed that the documents are “genuine.” He told investigative journalist Ross Coulthart that he knows Eric Davis and that he would not lie. “You know Eric is the kind of character that it’s just impossible for him to lie,” Nolan added.
Nolan asserted that the document was ultimately leaked. “Why would Eric Davis lie about writing something that he never intended to go public in the first place? He was just doing what an intelligence agent does on a regular basis which is write reports of what it is that they’ve been doing,” he said.
Davis, who is now a senior project engineer at the government-funded The Aerospace Corporation, worked on the Pentagon’s secret UFO program AATIP. He also said that some of the materials taken from the found UFOs have so far been unidentifiable. “We couldn’t make [the materials] ourselves,” Davis told the Times. (Source)

The Wilson/Davis Notes: The Final Act? (September 6, 2021)
Additional Background
The following documents were “leaked” or uploaded to IMGUR (an image sharing site) on April 19, 2019. However, they did not start making waves within the UFO community, until sometime in the first week of June 2019.
With no provenance, it is unclear if the documents are legitimate, and even if they are, it is even more unclear if the content outlined within is credible. Allegedly, they contain the notes of Dr. Eric Davis, Chief Science Officer at EarthTech International, founded by Dr. Hal Puthoff. They outline a 2002 meeting between Dr. Davis, and Admiral Thomas Ray Wilson, former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. During this meeting, many things were discussed including Admiral Wilson stating he was denied access to UFO related information.
It should be noted – this particular story involving Admiral Wilson has been around since at least 2001, nearly two decades ago. It first made an appearance in a lecture by Dr. Steven Greer, given in Portland, Oregon on September 12, 2001. During this speech, according the transcript, Dr. Greer said the following:
“To say that some of these witnesses are terrified is an understatement. You know, I feel like I’ve been the cosmic hand-holder for ten years. I had to go to the Pentagon. I was asked by the head of intelligence for the Joint Staffs, who had an office not far from the section that was blasted yesterday. This admiral, Tom Wilson, who was the J2 position, the head of intelligence Joint Staff and I, met along with one of the Apollo astronauts and a couple of these military witnesses, one of whom has not been recorded because of security reasons–his family were some of the original directors of NACA who saw some of the extraterrestrial bodies brought into Langley way back. He found this out on a deathbed confession from his father. But in this meeting with the Admiral, we [came to a conclusion]based on information I had given the Admiral, which had included some of the code names–you want code names? Project Red Light, Project Looking Glass, Magi Control, Royal Ops, Cosmic Ops. Don’t walk, run to anyone you know who has access and ask them to go into these classified areas and take whatever they can out and hand it to me. We’ll take a walk on the beach, and I’ll take full responsibility for it. I’ve been doing it. I’m a big boy. I’m willing to do it. Nobody has to be identified, because we have concluded the following: None of those projects have legal classification controlling authority. Why? They’ve opted out of the system because they have subverted it. And essentially the head of intelligence Joint Staffs said, “I am horrified that this is true. I have been in plenty of black projects, but when we tried to get into this one,” he was told, and I quote, “Sir, you do not have a need to know.” The head of intelligence Joint Staffs. You don’t have a need to know. Neither did the CIA director, and neither did the President. Who the hell does? Well, a bunch of bureaucrats and corporate and other people who have these projects, and people within the National Reconnaissance Office, NSA, and very compartmentalized islands that are free-standing islands that basically operate as their own sovereign nation. We can prove that they’ve violated the Constitution of the United States. They were operating outside the rule of law, a priori, they cannot hide behind the law by enforcing National Security Act regulations on anything they have. Which means that somebody can haul an entire ET spacecraft out of a place, and I’m asking them to do it, and do it now. We’re ready to roll!”
On July 4, 2008, Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 astronaut, recounted the story during his appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live. The segment is available here:
In August of 2008, investigative journalist Billy Cox contacted Admiral Wilson, who denied many aspects to the rumors. Cox wrote:
“A former high-ranking military intelligence official rumored to have been snubbed in his attempts to obtain sheltered UFO data insists he never even bothered to look for it.
‘Never,’ retired Rear Adm. Thomas R. Wilson replied Tuesday when asked if he’d ever been barred from retrieving classified material, exotic or otherwise, during his career.”
In July of 2019, I interview retired police Lieutenant Tim McMillan. Armed with his experience and research of Special Access Programs (SAPs) for his article published on THE WARZONE, along with his long career as a law enforcement officer, he weighed in on the Admiral Thomas Wilson leaks.
That segment is available below:
The interview above is an excerpt from a longer interview, available here.
In June of 2020, Cox ran another story denying any involvement in the meeting that allegedly took place with Dr. Eric Davis. Cox wrote:
“The admiral at the center of controversial notes describing his inability to access a classified UFO research program says the documents are bogus. Furthermore, he says the alleged author of those notes, physicist Dr. Eric Davis, never interviewed him.”
In July of 2020, I interview Alejandro Rojas. This is the segment on the Wilson/Davis documents:
The interview above is an excerpt from a longer interview, available here.

Extraordinary Document Reveals Sketch of 1933 Crashed Alien Craft, Shared by Italian Journalist for First Time
Extraordinary Document Reveals Sketch of 1933 Crashed Alien Craft, Shared by Italian Journalist for First Time
In the ongoing investigation into the alleged 1933 UFO crash in Italy, a significant breakthrough has emerged. Italian journalist Roberto Pinotti reveals that he obtained crucial documentary evidence about the incident. Astonishingly, he got these documents from a mysterious source who claimed that they had been inherited from a family member involved in the top-secret program.
Pinotti claimed that the reported UFO crash happened in Magenta, Lombardy, Italy, on April 11, 1933. This event took place 14 years before the well-known Roswell UFO incident in New Mexico. The crash itself revolved around a saucer-shaped object resembling a flying saucer. Its occurrence prompted an inquiry conducted by the “Gabinetto RS/33” (or RS/33 Cabinet), a clandestine intelligence division formed during wartime under the authorization of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.
In his book “UFO Contacts In Italy Volume Two,” Pinotti disclosed that the crashed UFO was stored in the hangars of SIAI Marchetti in Vergiate. Mussolini, perceiving the unorthodox aerial craft as a clandestine weapon belonging to France, Britain, or Germany, found it intriguing. Meanwhile, Sen. Guglielmo Marconi, the Italian Royal Academy of Sciences’ leader, purportedly speculated that its origin was extraterrestrial.
Additionally, the former US intelligence officer David Grusch, who provided astonishing insights into secret UFO programs, has given credence to this story. Grusch disclosed that the United States and its allies engaged in covert programs for nearly ninety years, revealing that one of the recovered craft was found in Italy in 1933.
Mr. Grusch plans to testify publicly in the near future, potentially happening soon. Journalist Ross Coulthart acknowledges knowing multiple witnesses and whistleblowers who support Mr. Grusch’s claims. Mr. Grusch has provided evidence under oath to Congress and the Inspector General.
Coulthart also mentions that there are others waiting to observe how Congress treats Mr. Grusch before stepping forward. Simultaneously, an additional interview with Mr. Grusch has surfaced online, revealing previously undisclosed and astonishing details about the UAP topic.
During an interview with NewNation, Coulthart commends US Senator Marco Rubio’s statement, highlighting its bipartisan nature. Senator Gillibrand and Representative Mike Gallagher have also expressed support for holding hearings on the matter. Coulthart believes that certain classified information may be preventing some members of Congress from discussing the issue publicly. He praises NewsNation for giving the story the coverage it deserves and speculates that other media outlets may be hoping the story fails. Coulthart draws a parallel to the Watergate scandal, emphasizing that legitimate stories take time to gain recognition.
Pinotti disclosed in his interview with DailyMail that he received the original secret documents about the case in 1996 from an anonymous source who claimed to have inherited them from a family member involved in Mussolini’s supposed UFO program. The documents included telegrams from June 1933 demanding silence regarding the alleged landing of an unknown aircraft and threatening penalties for journalists reporting on it. The telegrams were said to be by the personal order of Mussolini himself.
Pinotti also mentioned other documents referring to the mysterious government department “Gabinetto RS/33,” supposedly headed by Nobel Prize-winning inventor Guglielmo Marconi, which was responsible for managing the retrieval and study of the alleged saucer wreckage and other UFO incidents. However, the existence of this department and Marconi’s involvement have not been verified by Italian historians or UFO researchers.
Pinotti claimed that the alleged crash site was near Magenta, a satellite town of Milan, and he identified SIAI Marchetti in Vergiate, an aircraft facility in the area, as the likely site where the supposed wreckage was stored. According to Pinotti, the site miraculously avoided bombing raids during World War II and was secured by US and UK troops in 1945.
Grusch stated that the craft was recovered by agents of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), a former US intelligence agency, around this time.
“In 1933, a bell-like craft, around ten meters in size, was recovered in Magenta, northern Italy. It was kept by Mussolini’s government until 1944 when it was recovered by agents of the OSS,” Grusch revealed in his interview with the French newspaper Le Parisien in June 2023.
The authenticity of the documents related to the alleged 1933 UFO crash in Italy has been a subject of debate and skepticism. Pinotti claims to have authenticated some of them through forensic analysis.
According to Pinotti, a forensic expert tested one of the documents dated 1936 and concluded that the paper and ink were from that period. However, it is important to note that this analysis focused on a single document, and the telegrams from 1933 have not been tested.
Skeptics have pointed out that vintage paper and ink from the time could have been used to forge the documents. Furthermore, the lack of protocol numbers or official stamps on the papers raises doubts about their authenticity. Some critics argue that the documents resemble personal memos rather than official government documents.
Pinotti himself, as well as his colleague Alfredo Lissoni, have been advocates for the authenticity of the documents and have conducted research on the alleged 1933 UFO crash in Italy. Additionally, British historian Graeme Rendall, who has written books on WWII UFO sightings, believes the evidence is inconclusive.
Journalist Christopher Sharp of Liberation Times did extensive research on the Italy crash and found that alongside the crashed UFO, two human-like bodies were allegedly recovered at the site in Lombardy, Italy, in 1933. The bodies described by Mr. Sharp sparked intrigue and speculation due to their unusual characteristics and alleged extraterrestrial origin.
Later, the retrieved unknown craft’s information was confided to Pope Pius XII by Mussolini himself, as they had good relations. However, after Mussolini allied with Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich, the Pope became uneasy about the craft and leaked it to the US from the Vatican. Post-war, the craft was allegedly brought to the USA, where it supposedly remains today.
Lue Elizondo, a former government official involved in UFO investigations, mentioned seeing “compelling” documents from Mussolini’s office, indicating that some pieces of the Italian craft were transported to the USA after World War II. Speculations suggest that the craft was not a typical unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) with advanced technology, but rather a vehicle powered by jet engines and rockets, resembling the flying wing designs of the Horten brothers. The exact purpose of this technology transfer to the Axis powers remains unclear but is likely linked to gaining a military advantage.

The Brilliance of ‘Pre-diluvian’ Sculpture - Cannot Be Hand Made!
The Brilliance of ‘Pre-diluvian’ Sculpture - Cannot Be Hand Made!
I'm still digesting our recent tour to Egypt; the temple and the pyramids - just the atmosphere of the ancients was a lot to take in. Each time I visit, I’m stunned at the beauty, sophistication, and intelligence of those who left evidence of their time on Earth.
Each Spring, a group of listeners joins me and our guide, Mohamed Ibrahim, for a 12-day tour of ancient Egypt. These visits are unique and feature compelling evidence of a highly sophisticated people who shaped Egypt’s pre and Dynastic periods. This past May, we were introduced to a class of statuary that appeared to reveal clues about these people who settled in Cairo and the surrounding area. We're also learning that the egos of many of the dynastic pharaohs and their “God” status may have overwhelmed their common sense, and in the case of Ramses, Khafre, and others - - buildings, temples, and statuary thought to be commissioned in their time period are actually from earlier people.
Diorite sculpture of Khafre. Egypt Museum, Cairo Egypt.
(Cliff Dunning)
An example of this misinterpretation is a discovery presented by Mr. Ibrahim is a statue identified as the pharaoh Khafre at the Cairo Museum. Found in the valley temple of his pyramid complex thought to have been commissioned by Khafre, the figure is seated on a throne decorated with the sema-tawny, a symbol of the unity of Upper and Lower Egypt. Perched on the back of the throne, behind the king's head, the god Horus in the form of a falcon spreads his wings around the head of the individual in a gesture of protection. Khafre is thought to have reigned during the Old Kingdom (c. 2600 BC – c. 2551 BC), which can be confused with a much earlier pre-diluvian period (perhaps 9500 BC or earlier.) Very little is known of the pharaoh, and few other statues remain.
Historians attribute the sculpture to Khafre based on a cartouche crudely scratched into the base of the seated figure. The cartouche shows none of the craftsmanship or tooling used in the creation of the statue, is poorly cut into the stone, and appears entirely out of place, like graffiti, marring the elegance of the statue. Why was it defaced??? Did the priesthood or an administrator notice a slight resemblance to Khafre, and choosing to gain favor with the pharaoh, mention its uncanny likeness?
One would think it sacrilegious to carve their name on an ancient relic, but here we can look at what writings we have of the dynastic period for a possible reason for defacing the statue. During that period in history, pharaohs were elevated to gods and goddesses allowing them to behave in a manner we might consider disrespectful. In this example, the god Khafre, agreeing with his counsel, has an artist carve his name on the statue.
Wanting to learn more, I found two additional statues and created a comparative view which is telling; each figure has unique and separate features but is not the same man.
The known statues of Khafre - three similar, but different statues.
(Cliff Dunning)
In his seminal book Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt, Christopher Dunn provides a comprehensive look at exquisite and precise statuary created with unknown and highly advanced cutting tools. His primary focus is on the Ramses II statues at Karnak, Egypt. Each is identical and leaves us wondering how the work was achieved. I’ve applied Dunn’s formula to this seated figure, leaving us with remarkable evidence of machining technology.
I took a photo of the face of the statue, cut it down the middle, then flipped it - placing the two sides together. When you compare the original to the manipulated version, you can see they are identical. This means that the face, perhaps the entire body, was cut using some schematic or what may have represented the ideal man.

You can see from the images below and above, that both feet, the shoulders and chest, left to right, are identical and that a human being did not carve the work by hand as is generally proposed, but rather, some sophisticated technology. My conclusion is, this sculpture was made from a highly advanced culture from an early, unknown epoch.

I’ve often wondered what type of people occupied the earth’s previous epoch, before 9500 BC. Archaeologists tell us that our ancestors were hunters and gatherers, primitive hominids of limited intelligence and means. But I think a great deal of evidence is confusing because we have little documentation for places like Atlantis, Doggerland, and other cultures that were swallowed by the seas when the ice caps melted. The dynastic Egyptians were left with the ruined cities and statues as evidence of these early people, and because there were no records of their existence, much of the culture was absorbed, sanctified, and resurrected (copied as a form of devotion.) It’s likely, the gods known to us as Isis, Osiris, Ra, Amon, Hathor, and others were once living human beings immortalized in stone by the survivors of the planetary deluge. I believe this statue represents these early people.
This wonderful statue is another key to understanding our past.

Modern photography of our universe collected with powerful lenses aboard the James Webb Space Telescope and its predecessor, the Hubble Space telescope, provide us stunning views of distant regions of space. However, much of the universe remains conceivable only in our imaginations, even despite the reach of modern space science observatories.
Now, thanks to a team of astronomers from Johns Hopkins University who have been compiling data over the last two decades, armchair astronomers around the world will be treated to one of the most comprehensive displays detailing a map of the universe ever made available.
Using data collected over close to 15 years from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), the new map will offer the general public glimpses of the universe in its near totality and in ways once accessible only to professional astronomers like the Johns Hopkins team.
Displaying galaxies in unprecedented detail, the map features these distant collections of billions of stars in authentic coloration and actual position. The best part is that, in addition to being made freely available for viewing online, the new cosmic map can also be downloaded by serious astronomy enthusiasts.

“This visualization shows a thin slice of the Universe,” reads an entry featured along with the new cosmic map. “Its thickness is about 10 degrees,” noting that although additional astronomical data is available today, “it is not possible to show all of it at once on a 2D map.”
Launched at Apache Point, New Mexico in 2000, the SDSS is one of the most significant multi-spectral imaging astronomy facilities, which also conducts redshift surveys with its 2.5-meter wide-angle telescope. The advanced redshift surveys conducted at the facility employ Hubble’s Law to calculate the distances of galaxies from Earth, with the additional aid of angular position data.
Over the decades since its launch, the SDSS has directed its specialized telescope at slightly different regions of the night sky, allowing it to capture the breadth of the visible universe in unparalleled scope and detail.
Mining its data from these extensive SDSS surveys, the new map was the result of efforts led by Brice Ménard, with assistance from Johns Hopkins computer science alumni Nikita Shtarkman.
Ménard says that Earth and its entire surrounding galaxy, composed of billions of planets and stars, is represented by a single-pixel-sized spot at the very bottom of the new map.
“We are used to seeing astronomical pictures showing one galaxy here, one galaxy there or perhaps a group of galaxies,” Ménard said in a recent statement released by the university. “But what this map shows is a very, very different scale.”
The scale to which Ménard refers is a cross-section of our universe containing approximately 200,000 galaxies, each one represented by a single dot like our own. At the top of the map, viewers will see the initial flash of radiation that is believed to have been produced with the big bang some 13.7 billion years ago.
“From this speck at the bottom, we are able to map out galaxies across the entire universe, and that that says something about the power of science,” Ménard said in the statement.
To observe this remarkable new map of the cosmos for yourself, Ménard and Shtarkman have made the map available on its very own webpage, mapoftheuniverse.net. An option is available that also allows four different versions of the map to be downloaded in high resolution, available at a link at the bottom right-hand corner of the webpage.

Alfred O’Donnell, Ex-Area 51 Chief, Confirms Possession of Alien Crafts and Beings, Backing Bob Lazar’s Assertions
One of the most captivating topics that have stirred the public’s imagination for decades revolves around the intriguing mysteries of Area 51. Adding fuel to this debate, recent revelations by Alfred O’Donnell, the former head of Area 51, have breathed new life into the controversial claims made by Bob Lazar, the self-proclaimed Area 51 scientist. This fresh wave of information, brought forward by filmmaker Jeremy Corbell and investigative journalist George Knapp, uncovers another layer of the enigma, with stories of extraterrestrial craft and beings.
Area 51 has long been at the heart of numerous conspiracy theories due to its clandestine nature and associations with unexplained phenomena. Amidst this swirl of speculation, the figure of Bob Lazar has emerged as a significant but contentious player. Lazar asserts that he worked on reverse-engineering alien technology at a sub-installation near Area 51, known as S-4. These claims, however, have been met with both skepticism and intrigue.
Lazar’s credentials have been under continuous scrutiny, with critics suggesting he merely held a janitorial position at Area 51. Nonetheless, an array of credible experts has defended Lazar’s claims of employment as a scientist at the notorious base, adding a fresh twist to the saga.
A key figure who surfaced to reinforce Lazar’s narrative is Alfred O’Donnell, the former general manager at EG&G, a company heavily linked with Area 51 operations. O’Donnell, who had unrestricted access to the facility, asserted the existence of a “recovered flying saucer” from New Mexico and a “live being,” furthering the intrigue surrounding Area 51 and its alleged extraterrestrial connections.
EG&G, established by scientists Harold Edgerton, Kenneth Germeshausen, and Herbert Grier, specialized in nuclear weapon-related research and played a crucial role in attracting highly educated professionals to Las Vegas in the early 1950s. Alfred O’Donnell was one such professional, whose association with EG&G and Area 51 lends credibility to Lazar’s narrative.
According to George Knapp, O’Donnell shared classified information regarding UFOs over a casual coffee meeting. He spoke of attempts to reverse-engineer the recovered crafts and the trepidation of the extraterrestrial “IT” escaping from containment. This “IT” was described as an odd-looking creature bearing a resemblance to Ross Perot, a political candidate at the time. This testimony offers a riveting perspective to the ever-evolving UFOlogy.
Further unfolding the saga, Knapp shared an anecdote about a former defense contractor who allegedly knew about “crashed saucers” and “recovered materials.” However, she was reportedly intimidated into silence before a scheduled meeting with Knapp. Adding to the complex narrative, O’Donnell’s deathbed confession seemed to verify the existence of the crashed saucer and a living being.
However, O’Donnell’s narrative took a surprising turn when he shared a different version of the incident with journalist Annie Jacobsen, suggesting that the Roswell incident in 1947 involved a Russian craft with child-sized aviators, a result of horrific experiments by Nazi doctor Josef Mengele. This alternate story was, however, debunked by Knapp, who maintained that the Russians were as perplexed about the Roswell incident as the Americans.
Bob Lazar, on the other hand, remained firm in his assertions, claiming the U.S. government has been secretly reverse-engineering technology from nine different UFOs stored near Papoose Lake. These claims gained attention when Jeremy Corbell shared a story about Jerry Freeman, a civilian who allegedly infiltrated the Area 51 base and witnessed strange phenomena.
The continuing saga of Area 51, Alfred O’Donnell, Bob Lazar, and the involvement of figures such as George Knapp and Jeremy Corbell is a testament to the enduring allure of the unknown. As new details continue to emerge, they further weave the intricate tapestry of conjecture, controversy, and curiosity surrounding Area 51 and its alleged extraterrestrial encounters. Only time will tell if these narratives are a glimpse into a hidden reality or merely the product of human fascination with the cosmos.
What is the probability that the extraterrestrial intelligence has visited Earth? 100%. That’s what the renowned Stanford Professor Garry Nolan claimed in an interview with Alex Klokus during the SALT New York Conference. Dr. Nolan is known for his bold statements on the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) and has been sharing breathtaking information on the subject.
Dr. Nolan has given the most controversial interview of the decade. A person whose credibility cannot be questioned says that ETs have been here for a long time and that they are still on Earth. He further said: “…People talk about the wow signal, looking for extraterrestrial intelligence. Wow! Signal is that people see it on an almost regular basis. That’s the communication that’s already here.”
Note:
NASA considers the Wow! Signal the best candidate radio signal for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI). It was detected in the middle of the 20th century. However, one astronomer suggests that it may be a one-time broadcast, similar to the Arecibo message sent in 1974. Another recent signal, dubbed BLC-1, was detected by a team from Pennsylvania State University during a decade-long search for alien broadcasts. NASA’s recent investigation into UFO/UAP phenomena suggests that they could also be dealing with something unexplained.
Dr. Nolan, an immunologist at Stanford has published over 300 research articles and is the holder of 40 US patents. Besides, he has been honored as one of the top 25 inventors at Stanford University. So, his involvement in UFOlogy would bring some factful things to the field.
Klokus asked him: “If you had to assign a probability to that statement that you believe extraterrestrial intelligence has visited this planet, what probability would you assign?” Dr. Nolan replied without hesitation: “One hundred percent.”
He points out that the National Defense [Authorization] Act passed last year included the establishment of an unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Office (AARO). This office, currently staffed by 25 people, aims to collect information from various intelligence offices within the US Department of Defense and present it to Congress in a uniform format for the first time.
Additionally, he mentions that 12 US Senators have signed a document expressing their desire for information on this topic. Dr. Nolan highlights the creation of a whistleblowers’ program that allows individuals involved in reverse engineering programs to share classified information with Congress. He also refers to a recent event that caused controversy in Washington, further suggesting ongoing interest and investigation into the presence of extraterrestrial intelligence on Earth.
He suggests that what is crashing are likely drones or advanced AI rather than living beings. “An analogy can be drawn to studying a tribe of cannibals in the Amazon. Would you personally venture into the tribe and risk becoming their meal?” says Dr. Nolan. He points out that we already deal with alien intelligence in our technology, such as emails and AI systems like ChatGPT, and wonders how one would have a dialogue with a million-year advanced intelligence.
Dr. Nolan said: “I think it is an advanced form of intelligence, something that we don’t understand, that is using some kind of intermediaries. You’re not going to end up in the middle of the tribe, the angry monkeys that are flinging muck at each other or nuclear bombs. You’re not going to show yourself in the middle of the ambulance. You’re going to send intermediaries.”
During his interview with Tucker Carlson, Dr. Nolan said “Grey entities” are perhaps intermediaries but not actually living creatures from another planet. He gained information from the inside intelligent community that “most of what we think we’re seeing are avatars, biological robots that are basically put there to be the minions, if you will.”
He further stated:
“It is a hypothesis to me. If I were going to another place, or if I were going to study a native tribe of, let’s say, cannibals, maybe I wouldn’t show up in the middle of their village so that I don’t inadvertently become dinner.
Right, so you would send an intermediary first. But I’ve used this example […] of the ants as well, let’s say that there were a race of intelligent ants at the bottom of your garden. How do you tell them about Instagram? Right, how do you talk with them? How do you interact with them? You would probably make something that looked almost like an ant, and you’d put it down there.
But then how are you going to interact with them? Well, with pheromones, that’s how they talk. But you do something else. Right, you’re speaking about whatever it is you talk about at the dinner table. But to translate down to their terms, you would have to use some sort of an intermediary.”
The example of humans using intermediaries to communicate with ants that Dr. Nolan mentions is a common one among planetary species. In abduction cases, there are reports of a “praying mantis-like” being leading the hierarchy, who just observes procedures from a distance without communicating with humans.
Additionally, during his 90-minute interview with Chrissy Newton, Dr. Nolan shared his personal alien-UFO encounter at an early age. He recounts three separate instances of unexplained encounters he experienced during his life.
It includes seeing multiple small figures (Grey-looking) in a room and faces in the window at his childhood home, a silent object with bright lights hovering over trees during his paperboy route, and recognizing a face from a UFO encounter while browsing books in a used bookstore. He was initially scared in the first instance and felt an eerie connection with the third experience.
Further in the interview with Alex Klokus, Dr. Nolan discussed the downed craft and alleged material that he has been testing that perhaps is being used for the reverse-engineering program. He suggests that the discovery of the potential of a small grain of silicon, specifically Germanium doped with the right elements, in the 1950s or 1960s had a profound impact on our culture and world. This led to the development of multiple advanced sensor systems that tracked UFOs that can travel from 50 feet above the water to 14 miles in less than a second.
When asked if physical material for analysis exists, Dr. Nolan confirms its presence and shares an incident where he almost gained access to one of these objects before it was taken away by those who opposed it.
While the US government does not explicitly confirm the presence of extraterrestrial life, their careful statements imply that these objects possess capabilities beyond what is known and are not of Russian or Chinese origin, says Dr. Nolan. The physics behind such high-speed maneuvers challenges our current understanding.
He mentions the USS Nimitz incident in 2004, where multiple sensor systems tracked objects displaying extraordinary maneuvers. He believes that such phenomena require a rethinking of our understanding of physics.
Dr. Nolan mentions conversations with physicists from defense corporations who propose tweaks to general relativity to explain the observed phenomena. However, he acknowledges that the energy required for such maneuvers exceeds the planet’s entire nuclear output in a day. Obtaining even a fraction of the knowledge from these advanced objects could revolutionize our understanding and capabilities.
In regard to his interview at SALT New York Conference, he posted a comment on Reddit, saying
“I guess I am surprised anything I said is surprising to anyone. People have been talking about the entire matter for decades. Ross Coulthart and George Knapp have been talking about it on their shows as well as many others. Richard Dolan has written entire books about it. Conferences are held on it at UAP dedicated conferences.
It was probably news to many in the audience if they’ve ignored it on Netflix documentaries or otherwise not part of the echo chamber. We’ll have to see if Congress decides to bring more information forward or context things in a way that is significant. I personally doubt that if any public scientist gets access to the materials it will see the light of day before much study and MAYBE a publication indirectly referencing it. I’d like to hope and advocate otherwise. In the meantime, Avi Loeb’s Galileo project is a best of class approach.”

This month, researchers unveiled results from one of the biggest and deepest astronomical surveys of the night sky carried out by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). The effort has identified some of the earliest galaxies ever seen — from within the first 650 million years after the Universe was born in the Big Bang. And the findings have been dazzling astronomers, revealing that stars and galaxies were forming and evolving much earlier than anyone had suspected.
The project, known as the JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey (JADES), peered at several patches of sky, including one in the constellation Fornax — made famous in 2004 after the Hubble Space Telescope stared at it for 11 days, revealing thousands of galaxies. Unlike Hubble, however, JWST operates mainly at infrared wavelengths of light, making it ideal for spotting extremely distant galaxies, the light from which is stretched as the Universe expands, making it appear redder.
Starlight from these objects has travelled such great distances that they look as they did not long after the Big Bang occurred, 13.8 billion years ago. Astronomers measure distance using a factor known as redshift: the higher the redshift, the more distant the object.
Before JWST was launched in 2021, only a few dozen galaxies had been spotted at redshifts greater than 8. JADES has identified a whopping 717 galaxies that are probably in this range1. Here, astronomers help Nature make sense of the data deluge by choosing some of their favourite galaxies (listed from the most distant to the least) and explaining what the objects can teach us about the early days of the Universe.
1. The record holder
This blurry red blob might not look like much, but it is the current record holder for the most distant object known in the Universe. JWST discovered the galaxy, known as JADES-GS-z13-0, late last year and then confirmed2, through detailed studies of its starlight, that it lies at a redshift of 13.2. That means it looks as it did just 320 million years after the Big Bang.
The galaxy is physically small, just a few hundred light years across, but is pumping out new stars at a rate comparable to the Milky Way today, says Brant Robertson, an astronomer at the University of California, Santa Cruz. That’s remarkable because scientists had thought that the first galaxies to form in the Universe would come together slowly as stars ignited and coalesced. JADES-GS-z13-0 and other such objects show3 that early galaxies were hotbeds of star formation.
“These galaxies are the building blocks of structure in the Universe,” says Kevin Hainline, an astronomer at the University of Arizona in Tucson. With JWST, he adds, “we’re seeing them everywhere”.
2. The glowing dog bone
Researchers think that this dog-bone-shaped object is at a redshift of 11.3, although that distance still needs to be confirmed. Assuming it is, then it appears as it was around 400 million years after the Big Bang.
JWST is finding more structure early on in the Universe than anyone had expected: the dog bone seems to be two smaller galaxies in the process of coalescing. So, by 400 million years after the Big Bang, the Universe had already formed stars that grouped into galaxies, and two of those galaxies had come together.
Before JWST began surveying the night sky, scientists had not thought that so much galactic action was possible so early in the Universe. “I did not expect to see these types of objects at all in our data,” Hainline says.
3. The one with (maybe) the first stars
At a redshift of 10.6, this galaxy is surprisingly bright at just 430 million years after the Big Bang, Robertson says. First spotted with Hubble, the galaxy, called GN-z11, appears as an incredibly compact bright sphere under JWST’s gaze4. That brightness might come from a giant black hole at its centre, around which superheated gas and dust spiral5.
Other JWST observations suggest that this galaxy contains some of the first stars to form in the Universe6. The evidence, in the form of chemically unusual pockets of primordial helium gas around the edges of the galaxy, is tentative.
But the very first stars would have been made mostly of hydrogen and helium, with very few other chemical elements. That’s exactly what JWST might have spotted in GN-z11. If so, it would fulfil astronomers’ long-standing dream of detecting these stars.
4. The big clumpy one
This bulbous galaxy lies at a redshift of 8, putting it around 300 million years later than the record holder. Given the clumpy structure it has developed, however, those 300 million years must have been action-packed.
If the 13.8 billion years of the Universe’s history were compressed to a two-hour film, the first five minutes — which set up the plot for everything that follows — would show all the early galaxies that JWST is finding, Hainline says. And this enormous galaxy, which spans some 3.7 kiloparsecs (12,000 light years), indicates that the Universe was dynamic from the beginning.
5. The inside-out one
This small galaxy, seen as it was 700 million years after the Big Bang, has more stars forming in its outskirts than in its centre.
“It is the first time we can quantify inside-out growth at such an early stage” of the Universe, says Sandro Tacchella, an astrophysicist at the University of Cambridge, UK. That’s surprising because theory suggests the opposite — that early galaxies should have stars forming closer to their centres.
This galaxy seems to have got started right away, forming as many stars in its compact heart as big galaxies have now7. After that, it turned to making stars in its outskirts, which is the stage at which astronomers can see it today.
6. The cosmic rose
This floral-like gathering of very dusty, very red galaxies caught the eye of the JADES team almost immediately, garnering the nickname the cosmic rose.
“It has a special place in the team’s heart,” says Stacey Alberts, an astronomer at the University of Arizona in Tucson. “Science-wise, it’s a beautiful demonstration of JWST’s leap forward in understanding how red the Universe is.”
The rose’s galaxies are probably not physically related to one another, because they lie at varying distances encompassing redshifts from 2.5 to 3.9. But those values put them at the heart of ‘cosmic noon’, a period around three billion years after the Big Bang, when galaxies formed stars so quickly and furiously that they produced most of the stars known in the Universe today.

IN BEELD.

Harvard scientist Avi Loeb claims 'Metallic Spheres' found on ocean floor may be alien tech
Harvard scientist Avi Loeb claims 'Metallic Spheres' found on ocean floor may be alien tech
The discovery of microscopic spherules by a team of scientists, including Harvard Professor Avi Loeb, during an expedition off the coast of Papua New Guinea has raised intriguing possibilities.
According to Professor Loeb, these iron sphere-shaped fragments could potentially be remnants of an extraterrestrial object, labeled "IM1, that exploded in Earth's lower atmosphere before falling into the Pacific Ocean nearly a decade ago.
The spherules, weighing a total of 35 milligrams, were collected using a magnetic sled. Professor Loeb suggests that the unusual material strength and properties of the fragments make them distinct from space rocks previously studied by NASA. He speculates that the source of these spherules could be either a natural environment different from our solar system or an extraterrestrial technological civilization.
Avi Loeb, discusses their findings, saying the objects are being examined with the best instruments available. If future studies support the hypothesis that these spherules are indeed remnants of an extraterrestrial object, it would represent a significant discovery with profound implications for our understanding of the universe and the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Enoch, a captivating figure in both biblical and Enochian traditions, reveals fascinating connections to older myths, particularly from Ancient Sumer. One striking example is the parallel between the story of Enoch's ascent to heaven and the myth of Adapa, featuring Anu, the sky god, summoning Enoch for breaking the wings of the south wind. In the Adapa myth, Enki, the god of wisdom, deceives Adapa into abstaining from the food and drink of immortality, leading to his return to humanity. Enoch's story mirrors this pattern, but with a unique twist.
In the context of the Enochian tradition, Enoch emerges as a countercultural figure, challenging and subverting the earlier mythological traditions, particularly the Babylonian legacy. The biblical narrative of Enoch undermines the grandiosity of the Tower of Babel and the Babylonian aspirations associated with it. Enoch's emphasis on divine encounters, heavenly revelations, and his ultimate destiny as a mortal contrasts with the Babylonian tradition's lofty ambitions.
The inclusion of Enoch in the Enochian literature showcases a deliberate reimagining of ancient myths and the construction of a distinctive theological framework. Enoch's role as a prophet and visionary enables the development of unique perspectives on cosmology, divine communication, and humanity's fate.
Exploring these connections deepens our understanding of the intricate interplay between religious traditions, mythological reinterpretations, and the evolution of theological concepts in the ancient Near East. Enoch's enigmatic story exemplifies how ancient traditions were reshaped, reflecting cultural and religious shifts that have influenced subsequent religious and literary traditions.

Unacknowledged: An Exposé of the World’s Greatest Secret (Full Movie)
For centuries, humankind has looked to the stars, pondering the possibilities of life beyond Earth’s atmosphere. The existence of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), often dubbed as UFOs, has fuelled this curiosity, sparking numerous investigations, discussions, and debates. However, it seems that this complex, intriguing narrative may be mired in layers of secrecy, leading to numerous misconceptions and fear among the general public.
The Veil of Secrecy
Many discussions around UAPs have been surrounded by a dense cloud of secrecy. This has been primarily due to the clandestine operations of governmental and military organizations globally, who are believed to be maintaining stringent control over data and knowledge related to these phenomena. One major hypothesis is that some governments have developed advanced aerospace technologies capable of mimicking UAP characteristics, which could be used in psychological warfare or false flag operations.
For instance, from 1982 to 1989, over 25,000 eyewitnesses reported the Hudson Valley Boomerang craft. The question raised was whether part of the substantial funding used for the B2 stealth bomber went into mimicking such an object. This theory aligns with the assertion that there might already be an embedded psychological warfare narrative, preparing minds to expect extraterrestrial craft, not secret human aircraft.
Intriguing Encounters and Stories
Abductions, or Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind, have been categorized as interactions with humans who claim to have been abducted by extraterrestrials. Some insiders suggest that the government has orchestrated staged alien events to maintain a cover for deep black programs. These so-called “program life forms” are supposedly man-made robotic systems made to appear like extraterrestrial creatures. If true, this may underline a comprehensive psychological operation designed to instill fear and manage public perceptions around extraterrestrial life.
Hope Amid the Unknown
Despite the deep-seated secrecy and misdirection, hope still persists. Countries like France have taken steps towards transparency around the UAP phenomenon. An example of this is the “French initiative” where, under the administration of President Sarkozy, they committed to peaceful engagement protocols with these civilizations. The Vatican has also opened up discussions about the philosophical and theological questions posed by the discovery of extraterrestrial life.
The Future is Now
The acknowledgment of UAPs could initiate a radical paradigm shift for humanity. Advanced technology related to these phenomena has the potential to solve Earth’s urgent problems and revolutionize our macroeconomic system. Imagine a world where energy is virtually free and unlimited, emanating from zero-point or Quantum vacuum energy systems. This would not only eliminate the world’s energy crises but would also significantly reduce environmental pollution.
Humankind is currently at a crossroads. We have the choice to venture towards endless warfare and environmental destruction, or we could embrace peace and exploration of the cosmos. The acknowledgement and application of UAP technology might just be the key to a brighter, sustainable future. As one famous saying goes, “The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.” Maybe it’s time for us to let our imagination catch up with reality.
2022 is the 75th anniversary of the biggest UFO year ever. 1947 gave us so much more than just flying saucers. That summer came complete with many hundreds of legitimate sightings by excellent witnesses, classified memos admitting something strange was actually going on, a governmental reorganization to confront future existential threats, and even a public admission of some kind of crash wreckage retrieval, followed by a retraction.
Looking back now, have any lessons actually been learned?
THE PENTAGON’S HISTORICAL AMNESIA
On May 17, 2022, the House Intelligence Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence and Counterproliferation Subcommittee called two witnesses from the Department of Defense to testify before it about UAP or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. It was the first congressional hearing in 54 years, going back to a similar one-day event back in 1968 that came and went with no public impact.
The headline from the 2022 hearing was that both Ronald Moultrie, the Pentagon’s top intelligence official, and Scott Bray, the deputy director of Naval Intelligence, seemed to be suffering complete amnesia about the history of the Phenomenon. To hear them tell it, they might have known a thing or two about Project Blue Book but anything before or after just never seemed to register. For them, the entire matter of UAP seemed to start, oh, sometime around 2004 with the now-famous Nimitz incident.
It was probably intentional that they were so clueless. After all, if they knew nothing about the history of the issue, they could have plausible deniability if asked any tough questions. Which they were — questions about the Wilson-Davis Memo, the Malmstrom Air Force Base nuclear shutdown and even a softball question like what other investigations DoD had even done on the UFO subject. They claimed to have no knowledge of any of it. They were “unaware.”
Well, as Spanish philosopher George Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Yet that would allow us to think about their lapse as faulty memory, not the purposeful obfuscation it clearly was.
The quote we should really savor comes from William Shakespeare, who wrote in The Tempest, “What’s past is prologue.”The irony is that this line of memorable dialogue, engraved on the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C., is often used by the military when they teach about similarities between various wars fought throughout history. If you want to understand the future, start with learning about the past.
So, for the benefit of Moultrie and Bray and any other hapless Department of Defense insiders who will be called to testify at future hearings, let’s start their education with the basics.
THE WORLD OF 1947
As the only nuclear-armed superpower, the United States had come out of the Second World War stronger, more powerful, and more secure than ever before in history. Yet even with this strategic advantage, 1947 was still the year that the Cold War with the Soviet Union got kicked into high gear with the announcement of the Truman Doctrine in March. This was also the origin year for the famous Doomsday Clock initiated by the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists to sound the alarm about the likelihood of nuclear war.
Europe was still an incredible disaster area. The famous Marshall Plan to rebuild the nations devastated by Hitler’s rampage and the Allies’ relentless and destructive counter-attack would not become law until nearly a year later. U.S. Secretary of State George Marshall, however, made the pitch on June 5th, 1947, in a speech at Harvard University.
This was the year that Chuck Yeager would make that first supersonic flight, the one made famous in the book and film, The Right Stuff. Sadly, it was also the year that America suffered its greatest commercial aviation disasters on back-to-back days on May 29 and May 30, 1947, losing 42 and 53 lives respectively.
The big news out of Washington, D.C. on the third day of summer in 1947, June 23rd, was that the Taft-Hartley Act went into effect in the United States when the Senate overrode President Truman’s veto by a vote of 68–25. With political division on the front pages, no one was thinking about “flying saucers” or expecting news about such matters to come from the other Washington, the state on the opposite side of the country.
What a difference a day makes.
KENNETH ARNOLD’S STRANGE FLIGHT
On Tuesday, June 24th, an experienced civilian pilot named Kenneth Arnold, flying a small CallAir A-2 plane on the way to an air show, was over twenty miles from Mount Rainier, a volcano in Washington State. It was a glorious day for flying as the air was calm and the sky was clear.
Arnold sold and installed fire suppression systems, a job that took him around the Pacific Northwest and explains why he was such an experienced pilot with several thousand hours of flying time. He was also a modern-day treasure hunter that day. A Marine Corps C-46 transport airplane had crashed in the area recently, and there was a $5,000 reward for the person who found the wreckage. Even with today’s inflation, that’s a lot of money. In 1947, it was a small fortune.
Arnold was then startled by a flash of light on his airplane that was so intense it lit up his cockpit. Looking for the source, he scanned the sky and saw them to his left. It was, as Arnold would soon tell the world, a fleet of unknown craft flying in “a diagonally stepped-down, echelon formation.” Each one was repeatedly flashing bright lights.
And that began a three-minute observation that would change the world. His case took America by storm. Flying saucers became such a big thing that stories about them generated as much news coverage as had Jackie Robinson breaking baseball’s color line a few months earlier.
Arnold was flying at an altitude of 9,200 feet when he saw those nine blue, glowing objects flying fast. He did something then that few observers would do even today — he measured their speed by using his plane’s clock and observing how long it took them to travel about fifty miles south, something he could do because he knew the terrain well.
He came up with an estimated speed of 1,700 m.p.h. Given that Yeager’s X-1 was still four months away from managing 662 m.p.h. it was enough to blow Arnold’s mind. He checked his work later using a map when he landed and put in lower numbers. He still came up with a speed in excess of 1,200 m.p.h.
It wasn’t just their speed and size that astonished him. It was the fact that he saw no wings, fuselage, tails, vertical stabilizers, or engines. He first believed the objects to be some sort of new military aircraft, but the military confirmed they were conducting no tests in the area that day. Here’s a condensed run of some of his interviews:
“They didn’t fly like any aircraft I had seen before… they flew in a definite formation, but erratically… like speed boats on rough water… they fluttered and sailed… emitting very bright blue-white flashes from their surfaces… I kept looking for tails and they didn’t have any tails. They seemed to flip and flash in the sun just like a mirror.”
Somewhere in that awestruck word salad, Arnold described the crafts’ motion as similar to “a saucer if you skip it across water.” The media coined the catchy phrase “flying saucer,” and it stuck.
Although it is remembered for ushering in the modern UFO age, the case had no radar confirmation, no photos, and no supporting witnesses. What it had, however, was a pilot of excellent reputation describing something that, while extraordinary, would soon be far more common than anyone might imagine.
EXCEPT KENNETH ARNOLD REALLY WASN’T THE FIRST
While UFO/UAP reality may trace back deep into ancient prehistory, there had been, in the years before Arnold, constant “foo fighter” sightings by both Allied and Axis pilots in 1945, the final year of World War II. That mystery continued in 1946 with the “ghost rockets” in Scandanavia, particularly vexing Sweden.
In fact, there had already been multiple sightings of anomalous objects in 1947 before the Arnold case caught the public fancy. Lake Mead, Nevada. Weiser, Idaho. Spokane, Washington. Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bakersfield, California. And there were many more. As it turns out, many people were seeing unidentified objects in the sky, but with no point of reference, they tended to keep them to themselves.
Forty-nine sightings were reported to have happened in the period between June 1st and June 24th. There are even six reports in the Air Force files for this period. In 1967, researcher Ted Bloecher wrote a definitive account, “Report on the UFO Wave of 1947,” that’s worth reading in its own right and also contains a compelling introduction by Dr. James McDonald. You can download a copy for yourself here.
The point is only that the Arnold sighting, historically important as it turned out to be, was no one-off. His candor did allow some of those earlier reluctant witnesses to come forward. Based on its sensational details and media coverage, and the date itself, however, the Arnold case was definitely the starter’s gun for the 1947 Summer of the Saucers.
Over the next days, literally hundreds of sightings occurred across the United States and flying saucers became the subject of intense interest. While there were some reported cases elsewhere around the globe, the phenomenon did seem to be centered in the United States. And so, ironically, it was during the July 4th holiday that the entire affair deepened further. As the Bloecher report states:
“Reports of sightings, coming almost simultaneously from hundreds of bewildered citizens, were made to newspapers and police stations all over the country, and adjacent areas as well, from Southern California to New Brunswick, and from Louisiana to North Dakota. People everywhere were experiencing the beginning of one of the most massive waves of UFO sightings on record. Reports came from all kinds of observers: from picnickers and holiday crowds, from policemen and public officials, and from pilots, farmers, professional men, housewives and bus drivers.”
The sightings were, at first, treated respectfully in most of the press that reported on them. These were good stories relayed by reliable people, often locals, including many officials from politics, law enforcement, government and the military. As the wave crescendoed through the holiday, the tide began to turn. By mid-July, as if recovering from a hangover, the coverage took on an air of ridicule, something that continues to this very day.
While the report cited above makes for some good reading, making clear that these are not easily dismissed cases, it’s impossible to summarize or break them down in an article of this scope. There are, however, two key cases that came out of the Summer of the Saucers — United Airlines Flight 105 and, of course, the Roswell crash.
UNITED AIRLINES FLIGHT 105
On July 4th, just eleven days after Kenneth Arnold’s sighting, a United Air Lines DC-3 crew, led by Captain Emil J. Smith, took off from Boise, Idaho, at just after 9:00 pm, and almost immediately sighted two separate formations of wingless discs.
The irony is that in the aftermath of Arnold’s sighting, Captain Smith had been asked for his opinion by reporters about the flying saucers being seen over the northwest, an area where he regularly flew. He told reporters: “I’ve never seen anything like that (Arnold’s flying saucers) and the boys (other pilots) say they haven’t either. . .what that other fellow (Arnold) probably saw was the reflection of his own instrument panel.”
Just over a week later, on the evening of July 4th, as Smith was boarding his aircraft, he told another reporter, “I’ll believe in those discs when I see them.” He didn’t have to wait long.
Just eight minutes into their flight, in clear weather, UAL 105 saw five disc-like objects, one larger than the rest, heading straight for the DC-3. Smith and co-pilot Ralph Stevens observed the objects reverse direction and take up a course literally parallel to their own. They got a good look, too. Studying them against the twilight sky, Smith and Stevens soon realized that neither wings nor tails were visible on the five objects tracking with them. They appeared “flat on the bottom, rounded on top” with a perceptible “roughness” top-side.
Smith, Stevens, and the airliner’s stewardess, Marty Morrow, all were able to keep the objects in their view for about twelve minutes!
The objects clearly demonstrated intelligent control. When co-pilot Stevens, thinking the objects were aircraft, flashed the airliner’s landing lights, they responded by changing formation from a very tight cluster to a more open one. The cluster of discs then began to open and repeatedly close before settling down into a loose formation.
Almost immediately after they lost sight of the first five, a second formation of four (three in line and a fourth off to the side) moved in ahead of their position, again traveling westward but at a somewhat higher altitude than the DC-3’s 8000 ft. These passed quickly out of sight to the west at speeds that the pilots felt surpassed any conventional speeds. They had the general impression that these disc-like crafts were appreciably larger than ordinary aircraft.
Smith talked to reporters at their next scheduled stop in Pendleton, Oregon, and told them about what Flight 105 had just encountered. The United Airlines incident was picked up by Reuters News Service and sent around the world. It got a lot of ink in the papers, like the Arnold sighting, but four days later, it would be pushed aside by an even more alarming story.
THE ROSWELL CRASH
If the UFO cover-up has an original sin, it may be what happened in Roswell, New Mexico, over the July 4th holidays. It was during this time that rancher Mac Brazel discovered a collection of strange debris scattered across his employer’s land southeast of Corona, New Mexico. He drove some of it into town, primarily to complain to the local Army base, thinking they had crashed one of their secret planes.
One of the first to investigate was Major Jesse Marcel, who, as an intelligence officer, immediately assessed this was not military property but something stranger. The Roswell Army Air Force base outside of town responded vigorously, cleaning up the rancher’s site and another one. In addition to debris, the rumors started that they found a craft and bodies at a second site. Many of the locals, including future Apollo 14 pilot and Roswell resident Edgar Mitchell, said this publicly.
In the immediate aftermath, Colonel William Blanchard, base commander, instructed Lieutenant Walter Haut to release a hastily drafted press release describing the wreckage as a “flying disk.” The local paper headlined their own story with “RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region.”
That news ricocheted around the world at record speed. After all, this was not even two weeks after Kenneth Arnold’s story had done the same.
The statement was quickly retracted. Major Marcel was ordered to pose for reporters next to some tin foil and balsa wood. It was, they now said, a misidentified weather balloon. This is particularly unconvincing given that Roswell Army Air Base was the only nuclear bomber base in the U.S. arsenal at the time. In other words, the public was now being told that these people out in the New Mexico desert of 1947 who were trusted with the nation’s nuclear weapons got it all wrong and misidentified a weather balloon, something they dealt with every day.
It allows one nagging question to remain burrowed in your consciousness: What if the government accidentally told the truth that first day?
THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT
The National Security Act of 1947 enacted a major restructuring of the United States government’s military and intelligence agencies following World War II. The majority of the provisions of the act took effect on September 18, 1947, the day after the Senate confirmed James Forrestal as the first secretary of defense and, yes, places it firmly into our Summer of the Saucers chronology.
The act merged the Army, Navy, and the newly established Air Force into the National Military Establishment run by a Secretary of Defense. Aside from the unification of the three military departments, the act established the Central Intelligence Agency.
The legislation was signed into law by President Truman on July 26, 1947.
It’s also worth noting that the Air Force, which had been part of the Army during World War II, was now an independent service branch that would be given responsibility for flying saucer investigations. It created Project Blue Book in 1952 and disbanded it in 1969, although before, during, and after, it continued to study unidentified flying objects while denying to the public that this was the case. Such misrepresentations were largely revealed by classified documents released as part of the new Freedom of Information Act in the 1970s.
The reputation of the Air Force has not improved. It’s been called out in extraordinary detail by intelligence insider Christopher Mellon for not being responsive to congressional calls for data and for basically saying it has no good cases to look at when the Navy has forwarded hundreds of them.
As for the CIA, it kept its powder dry for five years, letting the Air Force ride shotgun on the UFO issue. In 1952, however, the CIA formed a special study group to review the situation. The group reported that most UFO sightings could be easily explained but also urged that the CIA conceal its interest from the media and the public to avoid alarming the public.
This duck-and-cover from the Central Intelligence Agency continued with the Robertson Panel, which concluded unanimously that there was no evidence of a direct threat to national security or evidence that the objects might be ETs. It worried that potential U.S. adversaries might exploit the UFO phenomena and use them to disrupt air defenses. It recommended debunking UFO reports and suggested using the mass media, advertising, business clubs, schools, and even the Disney corporation to get the message across.
By most accounts, the CIA has had a lot more interest in UFOs than it has ever admitted publicly, although FOIA requests and a director-ordered document dump both leave the impression that the CIA has been content to watch others investigate than do it for itself.
In any case, by August of 1947, the flying saucer wave was history. Captain Edward Ruppelt, who ran Project Blue Book for several years and wrote a powerful book about the experience, put it this way:
“By the end of July 1947 the security lid was down tight. The few members of the press who did inquire about what the Air Force was doing got the same treatment you would get today if you inquired about the number of thermonuclear weapons stock-piled in the U.S.’s atomic arsenal.”
Still, there was one final goodbye to the Summer of the Saucers, a memo that had been written that summer, completed two days into fall, and not discovered until the 1970s.
THE TWINING MEMO
United States Air Force General Nathan Farragut Twining was a very big deal. During World War II, he was considered an outstanding commander of bombing operations in both the European and Pacific theaters. After the war, then Lieutenant General Twining was named Commanding General of the military’s Air Materiel Command, working with the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. It was in this esteemed capacity that he was asked to write a secret memo about UFOs in 1947 for Brigadier General George Schulgen, Chief of the Air Intelligence Requirements Division at the Pentagon.
Twining put his name to a high-level “coordinated” memo from extremely in-the-know officers and scientists on September 23rd, 1947, in which he stated his considered opinion (and theirs) that UFOs were real and had capabilities he did not believe the U.S. had yet achieved. For context, this memo came just three months after the Kenneth Arnold sightings, two months after the Roswell crash, and just five days after the U.S. Air Force was officially created as its own entity.
The entire memo is a barn-burner, not just for its time but for our time. It starts out with a single sentence, under Section 2, which reads:
“It is the opinion that the phenomenon is something real and not visionary or fictitious.”
In further clear language, it goes on with specificity to state what these devices could do —
“The reported operating characteristics such as extreme rates of climb, maneuverability (particularly in roll), and action which must be considered evasive when sighted … lend belief to the possibility that some of the objects are controlled either manually, automatically, or remotely.”
Yes, that does sound like a few of Lue Elizondo’s so-called “Five Observables.” Only it was being put in writing some 70 years before we ever heard of Elizondo or read the New York Times story about his Pentagon gig and the Nimitz case.
Twining listed several common descriptions of UFOs. They generally were silent, had a metallic or light reflecting surface, no trail, were circular or elliptical in shape, and often flat on the bottom. Many descriptions indicated a dome on top. Several reports indicated they flew in formation.
Importantly, such statements did not hurt Twining’s career, given that he was subsequently made Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1957 and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1957 to 1960, being the first member of the Air Force to serve as Chairman, let alone become a key advisor to the President of the United States Dwight Eisenhower.
The takeaway is that Twining was hardly ridden out of military service for advancing crazy ideas. That, of course, is what makes the memo he wrote so damned interesting.
As an addendum to tie some of these elements together, on July 8, 1947, the exact same day that the Roswell Air Base put out its press release saying that they had a flying saucer in their possession, Twining canceled a scheduled trip to the West Coast. He did so, as he told others, “due to a very important and sudden matter.” It appears that while it was thought he was in Washington, D.C., travel records show he actually made a trip to New Mexico, where he remained until July 10.
LESSONS LEARNED
To the extent that the government of the United States and the citizens of the country were aware of the flying saucer controversy in the Summer of the Saucers, it seems reasonable to assume that few of them could have believed we would remain as ignorant of this subject as we appear to be today.
The majority of journalists continue to treat UFO stories as human interest pieces, and the people who report them as not exactly credible. The government, based on these latest hearings in Washington, seems not yet ready to level with the people about what it has learned in studying the Phenomenon for nearly eight decades. Some scientists are starting to take the subject seriously, but most of the scientific community treats the topic as one that is not the subject of serious research and can only harm careers.
And yet…
There are also signs everywhere that a critical shift in perspective is underway. The government has at least confirmed in public what it had only said before in classified memos — that the Phenomenon is real and that not only are citizens seeing these objects but so are the military’s pilots and data collection devices. The hearing, while frustrating, still managed to put the idea before the public and show that representatives were capable of asking pointed questions of the Department of Defense. And while scientists who took the subject seriously in the early days were practically non-existent, some are now openly visible, even if in the minority.
It now seems clear that we will not go another 75 years without some kind of answer. In fact, there are moments where it even seems possible we may not have to wait another 75 days, before we finally get a more complete picture of what this phenomenon might entail.
In a world of pandemics, politics, war, and economic insecurity, we seem to be moving toward some kind of new status on this subject. Maybe there is room for a surprising message of hope amid all the gloom and doom of today’s chaotic world. A message that says maybe–just maybe–the “War of the Worlds” is really just a way to end the War Among Ourselves, to unify humanity, and brighten the skies that have often seemed so dark.
The people who had the courage to speak up in 1947 may someday soon be names found in history books that tell a story about how it all began.

Karla Turner was one of the few alien abductees who found a respectable position in UFOlogy after she had made some strong claims about alien abductions. Her extensive research into the subject revealed that aliens manipulate perception, control consciousness, cause unexplained illnesses and mental decline, and engage in gruesome activities in underground facilities. Her findings highlight the alarming physical, psychological, and spiritual consequences faced by abductees, raising questions about the true nature and intentions of these extraterrestrial encounters.
Dr. Turner was an intrepid human rights activist and alien abduction investigator. With the background in Old English Studies and a former college instructor, she authored three books on the abduction phenomenon: Into the Fringe (1992), Taken (1994), and Masquerade of Angels (1994), co-written with psychic Ted Rice. Her work raised important questions about the true nature and intentions of these extraterrestrial encounters.
Dr. Turner had been involved in studying alien abductions since 1988. In her books “Into the Fringe” and “Taken,” she shared her abduction experiences and the stories of other abductees, highlighting the disturbing nature of these events. In “Masquerade of Angels,” she recounted the experiences of Ted Rice, who initially believed the aliens to be benevolent but later realized their predatory nature. One particular account involved Rice as an 8-year-old boy, witnessing his deceased grandfather transforming into a reptoid and demanding intimacy with him, resulting in the death of his grandmother shortly afterward.
Dr. Turner lost her battle with breast cancer in 1996 and only after that, her work was published where she described her family’s firsthand encounters. In her work, she also suggested that the abducted are targeted individuals and not chosen randomly. She was convinced the military targeted abductees in response to the reports people had made.
In one of her interviews, Dr. Turner explained how she became involved in the field. Initially, her family had no knowledge of the phenomenon until they began experiencing UFO sightings and abduction encounters. Dissatisfied with the available UFO literature, she took it upon herself to conduct research and find trustworthy answers. She started by documenting her family’s experiences in her book “Into the Fringe,” which chronicles their awakening and coping process. Eventually, she worked with Barbara Bartholic, Tulsa OK-based UFO/abduction researcher on her case and began working with her on other cases.
It was discovered that abductions were transgenerational in her husband’s family, with accounts dating back to the early 1900s. Turner and her family members, including her son, brother, sister-in-law, and their children, had all had experiences related to abductions. Some family members were initially hesitant to discuss their encounters until they learned about Turner’s experiences. Hypnosis was used in their research, although it has been controversial, with some researchers suggesting that it can lead to false memories. Turner’s opinion on these issues is not stated in the given excerpt.
In her book named “Taken,” she discussed the idea that some prominent abduction theorists state should be avoided — do not think of aliens as good and evil. Turner claimed that “this cannot be done, nor should it be.” She continued that those who had been abducted have the right to know how their “participation” would be used by their abductors, under what circumstances and what reason would the abducted be “made a part of this agenda” since they have been “implanted, trained, and programmed to participate in some future scenario.” Don’t abductees have the right to know for what purpose “our minds, bodies, and souls will be used?”
Dr. Turner’s main concerns regarding alien abductions were the aliens’ cruelty towards abductees, both physically and mentally. Victims experienced traumatic events such as forced impregnation, painful miscarriages, and severe injuries. Turner believed that the aliens had complete control over the minds of humans, using psychic technology to manipulate their perceptions and memories.
She disagreed with those who saw the phenomenon as positive, arguing that understanding it was beyond our capability. She questioned the purpose behind the aliens’ agenda and expressed her belief that some alien groups, particularly reptoids, consumed human bodies for emotional or soul vibrations. She speculated that cloned bodies lacked those qualities and wondered if hybrid beings were created as a food source for the reptoids.
Before her death, she frequently spoke at UFO conferences in the United States and other countries, urging people to take action. She claimed that aliens were manipulating our perceptions and spreading disinformation to weaken us and deceive us into thinking they cared about us, when in reality, their intentions were self-serving and disregarded our well-being. Turner emphasized the need to regain control over the situation and confront these aliens. Dr. Turner discovered these seven basic elements of the alien abduction phenomenon published by John Chambers in the UFO Magazine:
1. Aliens can control what we think we see. They can appear to us in any number of guises and shapes; 2. Aliens can take us – our consciousness – out of our physical bodies, disable our control of our bodies, install one of their own entities, and use our bodies as vehicles for their own activities before returning our consciousness to our bodies; 3. Aliens can be present with us in an invisible state and can make themselves only partially visible; 4. A surprising number of abductees suffer from serious illnesses they didn’t have before their encounters. These have led to surgery, debilitation, and even death from causes the doctors can’t identify; 5. Some abductees experience a degeneration of their mental, social and spiritual well-being. Excessive behavior frequently erupts, such as drug abuse, alcoholism, overeating and promiscuity. Strange obsessions develop and cause the disruption of normal life and the destruction of personal relationships; 6. Some abductees report being taken to underground facilities where they see grotesque hybrid creatures, nurseries of hybrid humanoid fetuses, and vats of colored liquid filled with parts of human bodies; 7. Abductees report seeing other humans in these facilities being drained of blood, being mutilated, flayed, and dismembered, and being stacked, lifeless, like cords of wood. Some abductees have been threatened that they, too, will end up in this condition if they don’t cooperate with their alien captors.
Interviewer: Abductees tell stories of seeing beings–angelic Nordics, for example–and then, when they concentrate and try to focus on their memories of those beings, they disappear, and behind them are these “lizard people.”
KT: I am not familiar with a number of cases. I have heard other researchers talk about the same thing. In one case that I recount in “Into the Fringe,” James had mostly conscious recollections and almost no hypnosis. He remembered being drawn into the proximity of a beautiful “Pleiadian” woman, who was very alluring and tender, and almost seductive. She wanted him to come into her embrace. When he got into the embrace, and thought she was going to kiss him, she disappeared entirely, and what was left in her place was a purplish-black, bumpy, almost slimy-looking character with fairly asymmetrical features.
I have encountered this same type of creature in a couple of other cases. The entity was very strong. Instead of embracing James, the creature threw him down on the ground and shoved a two-foot-long tube down his throat, into his stomach, and pulled up stomach juices. The next day, he still had some of the bile taste, the interior of his throat was sore, and he discovered claw marks around both sides of his neck, where he had been held down. Whatever the entity was, there was something claw-like about it (which, of course, matches reptilians). Maybe, as close as he was to it, he could not perceive the whole figure. But he could see a bumpy covering, which could equate to the rough, scaly exterior sometimes reported to be reptilian. It is described as bumpy, ridged, bony, strong, clawed.
CF: Apparently these beings have the ability to project different images.
KT: Some people say that they transform–that they mutate or change their own real forms. I don’t accept that as accurate. I don’t believe they really look like a blond, and they do something to trick you and then they suddenly look like a reptilian. I think that what they alter is human perception. They certainly can project false images–just as Ted’s [Ted Rice’s] grandmother was shown her dead husband, so that she would consent to have a sexual encounter. Ted’s grandfather had been dead for six years. And in the middle of having the encounter with what she thought was her restored husband, the image disappeared–I suppose because the aliens wanted to get the “emotional juice” from her–and she saw a “reptoid” on top of her.
Gravitational waves are ripples in the fabric of space-time that are generated when large masses accelerate. They were first detected in 2015, but the latest evidence hints at ‘monster’ ripples with wavelengths of 0.3 parsecs (1 light year) or more; the waves detected until now have wavelengths of tens to hundreds of kilometres.
Here Nature reports what these monster gravitational waves could mean for our understanding of the cosmos, and how the field could evolve.
How do the newly announced gravitational waves differ from those astronomers had already found?
Gravitational waves were first spotted by the twin detectors of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) in Louisiana and Washington State. They sensed the ripples produced by two black holes spiralling into each other and merging. LIGO and its counterpart Virgo in Europe have since reported dozens of similar events.
For the latest results, the authors relied on special beacon stars called millisecond pulsars. The teams tracked changes over more than a decade in the distances between Earth and millisecond pulsars in the Milky Way, comparing the signals from arrays of dozens of the beacon stars. These pulsar timing arrays (PTAs) are sensitive to waves that are 0.3 parsecs long or more.
And whereas LIGO and Virgo spot evidence of the last stages of individual merger events — regularly spaced waves coming from one definite direction in the sky — the four PTA collaborations have so far found only a ‘stochastic background’, a constant jostling in random directions. This is comparable to the random sloshing of water on the surface of a pond caused by the rain.
What is the origin of the waves?
The most likely explanation for the stochastic background seen by PTAs is that it is produced by many pairs of supermassive black holes orbiting each other in the hearts of distant galaxies, says Sarah Burke-Spolaor, an astrophysicist at West Virginia University in Morgantown.
Most galaxies are thought to harbour one such monster black hole, with a mass millions or billions of times that of the Sun. And astronomers know that throughout the Universe’s history, many galaxies have merged. So, some galaxies must have ended up with two supermassive black holes, known as a black-hole binary.
Researchers also have calculated that in the crowded centre of such a galactic merger, each black hole would transfer some of its momentum to surrounding stars, slinging them out at high speed or simply dragging them around. As a result, the two black holes would eventually slow down and end up orbiting each other at distances of around 1 parsec, explains Chiara Mingarelli, a gravitational-wave astrophysicist at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Only paired black holes that got much closer to each other than 1 parsec would contribute to the PTA signal, however. “They need to be separated by a milliparsec to emit detectable gravitational waves,” says Mingarelli. Theories that explain how this would happen are speculative, however, and whether the binaries can do this has been an open question, known as the final-parsec problem. “If you don’t overcome the final-parsec problem, then you don’t get any gravitational waves,” says Mingarelli.
Scientists will now seek to verify that the PTA signal does indeed come from binary supermassive black holes. If that could be confirmed, it would be evidence that supermassive black holes can come very close to each other in nature.
That result would be of fundamental importance, says Monica Colpi, an astrophysicist at the University of Milan-Bicocca in Italy — showing that thousands of black-hole binaries across the Universe have somehow ‘solved’ the final-parsec problem. “It would be the discovery that such a population exists.”
What would such binary black holes mean for LISA, Europe’s planned space-based detector?
Supermassive-black-hole pairs that got close enough to emit gravitational waves would eventually collide and merge. That’s because the gravitational waves themselves would carry energy and momentum away from the black holes, turning their orbits into spirals. In hundreds to tens of thousands of years, each of the pairs would end up colliding.
Colpi says this could be good news for the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA), a trio of probes the European Space Agency plans to launch in the mid-2030s.
As the black holes spiral inwards, the frequencies of their gravitational waves will increase and, in some cases, enter LISA’s spectrum of sensitivity. LISA will be sensitive to wavelengths of between 3 million km and 3 billion km — shorter than the wavelengths that can be detected by the PTAs, although still much longer than those seen by ground-based detectors. So LISA could see several of these mergers during its mission.
Black-hole mergers could also help to explain how some of the black holes have grown so large: they are themselves the result of earlier mergers.
Could something other than binary black holes be producing the stochastic background?
There is a plethora of exotic-physics theories that predict a similar omnidirectional background of waves coming from all directions in space. These sources could constitute part or even most of the signal. The possibilities include certain types of dark matter and even cosmic strings, hypothetical infinitesimally thin defects in the curvature of space-time. Cosmic strings could develop kinks, which could eventually snap, producing gravitational waves.
One of the most exciting alternative explanations is a cosmic gravitational-wave background originating from the early Universe, says Burke-Spolaor. Telescopes that see across the electromagnetic spectrum — from radio waves to γ-rays — are limited in how far away they can peek, and thus in how far into the past they can see. This is because, long before galaxies and stars existed, an opaque ionized gas filled the cosmos. This blocks astronomers’ view of what happened in the Universe during its first 400,000 years or so.
But gravitational waves can travel across any medium. As a result, any such waves created since the first instant after the Big Bang could still be around and be detectable as part of a stochastic background, providing a window into the extreme physics of the Big Bang. “That is just amazing to me,” says Burke-Spolaor. “Who knows what’s back there.”
There have long been stories, rumors, and reports of aliens amongst us. According to some conspiracy theorists we are definitely not alone, and not only are we not alone, but these extraterrestrials are infiltrating our society under the guise of being human. It may all sound like the plot of some science fiction movie, but these reports won’t go away, and so here we have a selection of some of the more bonkers of such accounts. Put on your tinfoil hat and fasten your seatbelt, because we are going for a ride into the truly bizarre.
A suitably off-the-wall case of some sort of shapeshifting alien infiltrator comes to us from the site ThinkAboutit Docs, from a source they call an “anonymous Intelligence officer and planetary patriot” called simply “Commander X,” who allegedly holds a high-security position within the Intelligence Community. According to this Commander X, not only are aliens here on Earth, but they walk amongst us in disguise, and he claims he to have collected several reports of encounters with such mysterious entities. Some of these reports originate from a place called Dulce Base, which is an alleged underground facility on the Colorado–New Mexico border near the town of Dulce, New Mexico, and which is also ground zero for a plethora of bizarre conspiracy theories and rumors, ranging from that the U.S. government is keeping captured aliens there and reverse engineering UFOs, to the idea that the base itself is jointly-operated by both human and aliens. Legends here abound, including aliens using human guinea pigs for bizarre genetic experiments, medical experiments on human abductees, firefights between aliens and the Delta Force, and everything in between, and one to add to the pile are all of the shapeshifting aliens running around there. According to this Commander X, Dulce Base is very real, and many of the personnel stationed there are kept in the dark about what is really going on there. He also claims that the base is partly manned by shapeshifting aliens in disguise, and one such report he says comes from a private who was stationed on the surface at Dulce. This unnamed private supposedly had no idea of just how deep the rabbit hole went at the base, but would learn that something was off after a very odd encounter involving what he believes was an alien posing as a human being. The witness would say:
One morning last September, I was working on a routine job when another of the young enlistees, a mechanic, came in with a small rush job he wanted welded at once. He had the print and proceeded to show me exactly what he wanted. We are both bending over the bench in front of the welder when I happened to look directly into his face. It seemed to suddenly become covered with a semi-transparent film or cloud. His features faded and in their place appeared a ‘thing’ with bulging eyes, no hair and SCALES for skin. I stood and looked at it for about 20 seconds. WHATEVER IT WAS stood and looked at me without moving. Then the strange face seemed to fade away, and at the same time recede into the ordinary face of the young man underneath. The dissipation of the imposed face lasted or took about five seconds before it was completely gone and I was standing there weak, my mouth open and staring at the young man who had come in with the rush order. The young ‘man’ did not seem to be conscious of the elapsed time when I had observed all this but went right on talking about the job as if nothing had happened. This is hard to take but I assure you it was still harder for me. No one can realize a jolt you could get from seeing anything like this until they have experienced it for themselves. It was several days before I had myself convinced that maybe after all what I had seen was real and that I was not suffering from illusions and the beginning of insanity.
The witness would have another similar weird encounter a few days later, when he saw another instance of this shape changing phenomenon. He says of this encounter:
The next time was later at night at the guard house near the front gate, on the way to work. I had purchased some small items and on arriving I went around to the guard house with my slip to retrieve my package. There was only one guard on duty. I handed him the check and he began to look at the package, taking his time. I waited a minute, then happened to look directly at him again. His face began to change. Again a face of a strange creature was imposed. You could see through the imposed face for a few seconds and then it became the only one visible [solidified is the word] and again about 20 seconds duration. Again five seconds for dissipation and the guard started to move normally again, found my package and gravely handed it to me and I walked out without a word being said.
Dulce is not the only place where these sort of sightings are happening by a long shot. Another location that has apparently had sightings of shapeshifting aliens is the Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), which is a U.S. Army facility outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, established in 1942 to test biological and chemical weapons. According to ThinkAbouIt:
Aside from Dulce, New Mexico and the Nevada Test Site, other areas where these “chameleon” sightings have taken place include Deep Springs, CA where these alien “impostors” have allegedly been sighted; and Dugway, Utah where one woman by the name of Barbara who worked as a hair stylist claimed she saw one of the HIGH RANKING MILITARY OFFICIALS transform temporarily into an entity with ‘reptilian’ features. Another source at Dugway who worked in an auto shop claimed that he saw a similar phenomenon while changing the tires on the car of one Dugway military official. Remember that Dugway works closely with Area 51, which is just to the west and across the state border. It is interesting that there are claims that the joint CIA-alien activity within the ‘Dreamland’ underground complexes of Nevada have and are being extended to the underground facilities below the St. George and Dugway areas of Utah, among other sites.
A thoroughly off-the-wall account supposedly comes from the Madigan Military Hospital south of Seattle, Washington near Fort Lewis. According to UFO researcher Val Valerian, the hospital is absolutely overrun with reptilian aliens posing as human beings, and he says of it in the Leading Edge newsletter, all caps and all:
About a year ago, we ran into SEVERAL PEOPLE who stated that they ‘had heard’ that ‘REPTILIAN HUMANOIDS WERE WORKING AT A U.S. ARMY HOSPITAL’ NEAR FORT LEWIS, WASHINGTON. At that point, these statements were simply filed away in ‘rumor’ status, pending the arrival of something more substantial. Descriptions of the nature of and appearance of alien humanoid forms that could be termed ‘REPTILIAN’ vary widely. REPTILIAN HUMANOIDS HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED IN ITALY AS LOOKING VERY LIZARD-LIKE, EVEN WITH TAILS. Logic would seem to tell us that if alien humanoids were in fact in ‘collusion’ with military medical personnel at a hospital, they would not in fact have the appearance of anything other than humans, or be close enough to humans to blend in. About a month ago, the nature of synchronicity brought me to an espresso bar, where I chanced to engage a lady in her early 50’s in some small conversation about an entirely unrelated matter. She had been a nurse for some twenty years, and sixteen of those twenty years had been spent working for the U.S. Army. She retired from the service and was now job hunting in the local area. She was very professional, and seemed to know a lot about the nursing field.
Gradually, her conversation got around to a ‘very unusual place’, Madigan Military Hospital, which is located on Route 5 south of Seattle. She had applied for work at the hospital and noticed that it was indeed a hospital unlike any she had ever seen before. Madigan is a brand new $150-million-dollar facility, built about a year or so ago. From her description, there are small R2D2-type robots that shuttle prescriptions between floors, all the equipment is prototype ‘one-of-a-kind’, like laser x-rays and a lot of equipment that was extremely high tech. It was not this alone which peaked my interest, but a comment she made later. She made the statement that when she entered a specific lab in the hospital, she noticed that all the personnel were extremely absorbed in their work — nothing too uncommon about that. But then she stated that she had the thought that some of the equipment looked quite ‘alien’, AND TWO MEN WHO LOOKED EXACTLY ALIKE TURNED AND LOOKED AT HER IN RESPONSE TO HER THOUGHT. She said that THE EYES OF THESE TWO MEN WERE QUITE PENETRATING AND THAT THEY BOTH MOVED IN UNISON. That got my interest. She then stated that during the tour of the facility, the individual who was escorting her said that the top floor of the hospital AND TWO OF THE SUB-BASEMENT FLOORS were Top Secret R&D areas and were off limits to BOTH military and civilian personnel. That really got my attention.
The nurse supposedly had some pretty outlandish stories to tell about her visit to the hospital. According to her, there was equipment there far more advanced than anything she had ever seen before, and that there were some very odd procedures being carried out on patients. She explains of one of these (all caps not mine):
I noticed that a patient walked over and climbed on an exam table. The procedure they were doing always requires that the patient must be sedated, HOWEVER I NOTICED THAT THE PHYSICIAN LEANED OVER THE PATIENT AND TOUCHED THE PATIENT IN THE CENTER OF THE FOREHEAD WITH ‘HIS’ INDEX AND MIDDLE FINGER OF ONE HAND. IMMEDIATELY, THE PATIENT FELL INTO A STATE OF SEDATION AND THE PROCEDURE WAS STARTED. What kind of doctor can touch a patient in that way and sedate him? I looked around at the other personnel in the room at this time. There were two, a Private First Class and a Specialist 4th Class at opposite ends of the room from where I was standing. BOTH OF THESE MEN WERE THE SAME SIZE, HAD THE SAME SKIN COLOR, AND MOVED IN A VERY DELIBERATE MANNER. I was talking with the Sergeant and happened to say something to myself very softly while having the thought how strange these people seemed. BOTH OTHER MEN TURNED AND LOOKED AT ME ALMOST AS IF TO STARE AT ME. I GOT THIS STRANGE FEELING. I had heard before from a friend whose brother had made the uncharacteristic comment that ‘ALIENS WORKED AT MADIGAN’. ‘ALL’ THE PEOPLE IN THE ROOM AND THE MILITARY PERSONNEL IN GENERAL THAT I HAD SEEN IN THE HOSPITAL SEEMED TO MOVE VERY VERY SLOWLY, ALMOST IN SLOW MOTION. I left the area and went back to the Sergeant’s office.
She was so intrigued by this otherworldly strange place that she decided to go back there several weeks later with a friend, and it would only further convince her that there was something off about the place. She says (all caps make a major appearance yet again):
My friend and I entered through what is known as the clinic mall. This area houses the outpatient clinic. THERE WERE VERY FEW PEOPLE THERE FOR SUCH A LARGE CLINIC. We were told that THERE ARE THREE FLOORS BENEATH THE HOSPITAL and one floor above that are off limits to ALL PERSONNEL, MILITARY AND CIVILIAN, and that these areas were classified Top Secret and were research and development [R&D] areas. THERE ARE VERY UNUSUAL ANTENNAS ON TOP OF THE HOSPITAL. The three-story main service area has a complex on top of it THAT APPEARS TO HAVE NO ENTRANCE AND NO WINDOWS. Judging from the way the hospital is built, there are a lot of ‘DEAD AREAS’ that comprise spaces THAT CANNOT BE ACCESSED FROM THE MAIN SERVICE AREA. The personal feeling we both got being in the hospital WAS THAT WE STARTED TO FEEL VERY DRAINED, AND WE BOTH EXPERIENCED GETTING A DULL HEADACHE. It wasn’t until we had driven SEVERAL MILES from the facility that we started to feel better.
What is going on with this freakish place and is it staffed by aliens in disguise as humans? Who knows? It is all a pretty damn strange story and it’s hard to really know what to make of it. These aliens have supposedly even wormed their way into the Pentagon itself, as well as other top level government agencies. According to the ThinkAboutIt docs report:
Sometime during the 1980’s a Secretary working in the Pentagon noticed a high-ranking Pentagon ‘official’ who had apparently lost a contact lens. The eye from where the lens fell out was NOT human, but instead contained a vertically-slit pupil. No one working at the Pentagon seemed to know where the official worked although they had apparently assumed that he was supposed to be there in some capacity or another. The Secretary however informed her superiors of the strange incident, and immediately Security Personnel approached the ‘officer’ who apparently was not aware of his missing contact lens. The ‘man’ did not make any major attempts to resist. When the apartment of this ‘official’ was searched, copies of several sensitive documents on the “Star Wars” or “Strategic Defense Initiative” program were discovered. Apparently the entity had been stealing the documents and transmitting their contents to some point beyond the planet. Rumor had it that the entity was physically examined and it was discovered that its internal organs were NOT human.
Several areas across the Western U.S. where surface and/or underground military installations exist have reportedly produced similar ‘Chameleon’ sightings. There seems to be a trend which involves the infiltration of the NSA-CIA and the subsequent ‘replacement’ of agency personnel, and in turn Military-Industrial personnel, by alien life forms not loyal to planet earth nor to the human race in general. These reports are very similar to other reports that made the rounds within ‘fringe’ research groups during the early 1980’s concerning the reported ‘assimilation’ of high-ranking Communist officials and scientists by serpent-like humanoids, reptilian beings that were reputedly revived out of suspended animation from a frozen city that was discovered under the northern Siberian ice fields. The was referred to as the “Siberian Affair”.
Every bit as bizarre as any of these cases is an account of a supposed military operation to actually track and capture an alien infiltrator in disguise living amongst us. Our story here comes from UFO researcher Victor Martinez, an alleged former federal employee and coordinator of news at the Joint Recon Study Group. According to Martinez, officials of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) and other U.S. government agencies have long been involved in top secret security activities involving human-appearing extraterrestrial beings in the U.S., and he relates one such operation carried out in 1980, which was called “Operation TANGO-SIERRA.” Martinez claims that he learned of this operation through a close intelligence contact in the DIA, who outlined the government’s plans to monitor and detain an extraterrestrial entity masquerading as human being to live among us. It supposedly began with the alien abduction of a federal employee by an alien disguised as a human being, and the contact says:
The original operation began in early 1980 when an Earth female was identified by U.S. intelligence as being a so-called ‘alien abductee.’ She had been abducted by a male non-human in 1977 which was her first abduction. This woman was single, 23-years-old and a trusted, well-respected U.S. government employee. The male non-human showed the Earth woman abductee projections of alien life on another planet. The projection was from a small, triangle device. The woman viewed this projection which she described as images displayed in a 3-dimensional ‘holographic’ view.
The male non-human never harmed the Earth woman abductee. During the three years of her ongoing abduction, the Earth woman was taken by the male non-human through a ‘veil of light’ to another place. The Earth woman described this place as being ‘a light bubble.’ She would sit inside the bubble and view these holographic projections with the male non-human. On one occasion, the male non-human introduced the Earth woman to another male, whom the Earth woman described in debriefing details as not being human, i.e., not being an Earth male abductee. The Earth woman called this other being a “creature.' This creature performed a medical examination on the Earth woman. The woman did not fully consent to the alien’s examination as she was temporarily paralyzed. After the examination, the woman was taken back to her residence. When the Earth woman brought up her abduction by a male alien to the attention of a co-worker, the co-worker contacted an office security official, who then contacted U.S. intelligence officials.
U.S. intelligence spent hours and hours vetting the woman’s story, conducting thorough background investigations, performing surveillance, and administering several polygraph examinations. The Earth woman’s story was eventually deemed to be factually true and correct. U.S. intelligence then mounted a very special, highly classified operation to capture this alien being, who lived near Landover, Maryland.
An intensive investigation was allegedly launched by the "7602 Air Intelligence Wing, Section III," which would last 5 months and involve around 60 intelligence officers tasked with determining whether or not this man was an actual extraterrestrial creature/non-human and a possible imminent or potential threat to national security. The mysterious individual was purportedly identified, followed, and detained without incident, after which he was questioned. The report says of this questioning:
The male non-human was interrogated by teams of AFOSI special agents over several weeks and in total was questioned and intensely interrogated for many months by other agencies. It was during this time that the male non-human disclosed its race, its resident planet and the reason it came to Earth. The male alien basically cooperated and provided details of its life on his alien home world. The non-human entity was released on the direct orders of then President Carter in late 1980, and subsequently left Earth and returned to its home planet. The male non-human originated from the star system Delta Pavonis, 20 light-years from Earth where it was the 4th planet from their sun. It is roughly the same size as our Earth. The travel time to Earth was 18 Earth months using a very complex propulsion system and time-space displacement travel mode. Back then in 1980, we could not understand the alien propulsion system and we never saw his spacecraft. When President Carter let the male non-human leave, he just vanished. I was never in the intelligence loop as to how he left or how he departed Earth.
I’m not sure how they learned English so well nor other languages. You’ve got to remember that this was extreme compartmentalization. I knew just what I was supposed to know. There is much more to the alien debriefing that I do not know. From what I’ve learned over the years, this race of alien beings originally came to Earth as explorers about a century ago. Apparently, they could assume the human shape and form and easily live among us. With respect to the male non-human’s employment, he worked as a records keeper for the U.S. Dept. of Commerce in Washington D.C. He was able to manufacture his own identification documents by assuming the name/ID of a deceased Earth human. He was in a career that did not require a high-level security clearance thereby enabling him to escape the much greater scrutiny given to ‘Secret’ clearance level background checks and above.”
Martinez’ source also explains that, although the alien looked perfectly human, and that his race was able to take human form through some unexplained process, they were definitely not human, and that their real form was rather hideous. He would also explain the aliens’ agenda to some extent, and he would say of all of this:
Although they possessed the human shape, form and basic anatomy, they were not human beings like you and me. Their actual, normal, ‘real’ appearance was that of a hideous-looking creature that would most certainly scare, frighten and terrify a normal Earth human. Above all, they did not have any extra powers nor abilities. They had no weapons and never tried to harm Earth humans. Their sole intent and stated mission was that they just wanted to study Earth humans and obtain the basic structure of the human body, anatomy and social interplay.
I don’t know how many others of this specific type of aliens were among us as I was not authorized that specific highly classified information. However, I am positive that there were more similar-type operations than just this one. ‘Operation TANGO-SIERRA’ was just one operation that lasted nine months from start to finish in the D.C area.” “U.S. intelligence had more such operations around the U.S., with one in the southwest and another in the northwest, but I don’t know for sure on the location details. Indeed, the government was claimed to be very intently focused on investigating “the presence of extraterrestrial creatures having infiltrated the highest levels of the United States government. As for other visiting alien races, we knew of nine of them. The Ebans (Ebens) were the nicest while the Trantaloids were the ugliest, meanest sons-a-bitches and most dangerous. I only know that the very inner circle of our government knows. That is about all I can tell you. I never spoke with the male non-human in ‘Operation TANGO-SIERRA,’ but I was actively involved in this operation. Most of the older fellows who knew all of this are dead now. Former CIA Director Richard M. Helms was our boss for this operation. He died some years ago.
Our friend Commander X claims that this phenomenon of shapeshifting “chameleons” or “alien infiltrators” involves several different races of aliens, including the “Greys” and “Reptilians,” and that they use a wide variety of techniques to blend in, such as “reconstructive surgery, molecular shape-shifting occult-technology, techno-hypnotic transmitters, and portable laser-hologram technology.” This technology is purportedly very sophisticated and hard to detect, but some have found a way to do it. Enter researcher George Andrews, who is author of the book “Extraterrestrial Friends and Foes,” who says of some of the attempt to see through the alien disguises:
A friend of mine and four of his friends experimented with crystalline structures a year or two ago, and they figured out how to cut them along certain planes so they could actually see the aura or energy field around people. That’s when they discovered that all people aren’t ‘people’, or the people they thought they were. It appears that some E.T. humanoids have a dark blue ovoid aura. It so happens that all the people they checked that met these criteria also wore dark glasses and made every attempt to act like they really wanted nothing to do with people in general. They followed one of these people out into the desert where he evidently had a trailer. After waiting until dusk, they made a pretense of needing help and knocked on the door. After a short while, the light went on and the man came to the door. He looked normal, EXCEPT THAT HIS PUPILS WERE VERTICAL SLITS INSTEAD OF CIRCLES. It works. The only trouble is that it costs $2,000 to put a pair of those glasses together.
It is all pretty bizarre, to say the least, and it leaves us wondering just what to make of all of this. Are there really aliens walking among us who have the power to change their shape to blend in? Are out highest positions in the government being infiltrated by these extraterrestrial forces mimicking us and carrying out some sort of twisted charade? Or is this just the tabloid, sci-fi nonsense it all sounds like? There is really no way to truly know, and believe it or not, it is all a very damn weird corner of the alien and UFO pehnomenon.

Valiant Thor: Unraveling the Enigmatic Story of the Alien Residing in the Pentagon
In the world of UFOlogy and extraterrestrial enthusiasts, there are myriad accounts, sightings, and stories that spark intrigue and fuel the pursuit of the truth. One such tale, steeped in mystery and seemingly out of a sci-fi blockbuster, is that of Valiant Thor – a supposed alien who not only visited Earth but allegedly had a direct line with the U.S. government.
Born from the pages of the book “Stranger at the Pentagon,” (Amazon link) authored by Dr. Frank E. Stranges in 1967, the narrative surrounding Valiant Thor quickly gained traction. The story suggests that Thor, an alien from Venus, came to Earth in 1957, landing in Virginia where he was taken to meet President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon. He then spent three years living at the Pentagon, presenting solutions to eradicate poverty, disease, and even nuclear threats.
One might quickly dismiss such claims as the imaginative works of an eager author. However, Stranges himself claimed to have met Thor, describing him as a man of ‘extraordinary’ abilities. Valiant Thor, according to Stranges, had an elongated lifespan of 490 years and possessed a pair of lungs more advanced than our own, letting him breathe in any atmospheric condition.
Nevertheless, the story of Valiant Thor doesn’t come without controversy and skepticism. Some critics point out the striking resemblance of Thor’s narrative to the plot of the 1951 film “The Day the Earth Stood Still”. This has led many to question whether Valiant Thor’s tale is a genuine account of alien interaction or simply a case of creative plagiarism.
What adds another layer to this already riveting tale is the existence of a rock band, Valient Thorr, that was established in 2001. With all members adopting ‘Thor’ as their surname, they seem to pay homage to this unique character in their very foundation.
Despite the ongoing debates, the story of Valiant Thor has undeniably left an indelible mark on the extraterrestrial enthusiast community. It pushes the boundaries of our understanding of the universe and makes us wonder – could we really have been visited by an alien diplomat named Valiant Thor?

Valiant Thor – The Alien Who Lived in the Pentagon
In 1995, Fox Televisioncaptivated millions with a medical autopsy of a space alien. The 17-minute black and white clip purported to show military doctors examining a bloated, humanoid-looking extraterrestrial that had died in a flying saucer crash.
The broadcast generated so much hoopla that Fox aired it two more times that year, tacking on “added footage” of the UFO wreckage. Even then, the hoax—recycling the Roswell myth, which holds that the U.S. government in 1947 recovered an alien craft from the New Mexico desert—was old hat.
The latest version of this fable is the widely circulated story of—you guessed it—crashed UFOs that the U.S. government has been hiding for many decades. In June, a recently retired intelligence community “whistleblower” madethis claim, like others before him in years past. That the latest “bombshell” landed without any evidence or corroboration has not dampened our feverish enthusiasm. “Are we finally ready to admit UFOs are aliens?” asks the Daily Beast in itsheadline.
Americans have a bottomless appetite for this stuff. The initial story of crashed aliens was the Roswell incident, which stemmed from an actual cold war event; a balloon from a then-secret U.S.military project had fallen near Roswell, N.M., just as the flying saucer phenomenon was taking root. Ever since, the crashed saucer myth and UFOs in general have steadily profited news and entertainment outlets, and they have sated a deep human need for mystery.
I get it. Aliens are cool. Fuzzy UFO videos, which (let’s be honest) the media uncritically hype way too much, are fun. Maybe this is why friends and family members are always texting me the latest, craziest UFO story (that is quickly proven to be bogus). UFOs are so damn entertaining!
(A quick public service announcement: All this talk for decades about a “cosmic Watergate” is not amusing to everyone. Some people get really worked up and land in serious legal trouble; others find it a gateway to a toxic, paranoid swamp and entice vulnerable minds to join them.)
For the most part, the ubiquitous alien icon is now a gimmicky relic from a larger landscape of escapist fantasy, the same terrain that has relegated other faddish subjects, like the Bermuda Triangle and Nessie, to the annals of pseudoscience. UFOs, in contrast, remain an enduring American obsession. Why? Are they so much fun that we can’t let them go?
It’s more than that. “Despite centuries of scientific and social progress, we remain, at our most intimate level, believers,” writes author Marc Fitch in Paranormal Nation: Why America Needs Ghosts, UFOs, and Bigfoot. Indeed, this is a core sentiment of the hit 1990s X-Files show, which is embodied on the poster of a flying saucer above agent Mulder’s office wall with the phrase, “I want to believe.”
Perhaps it also explains why Scott Brando, a diligentmonitor and debunker of phony UFO videos that regularly go viral online, is alwaysplaying whack-a-mole. People fall prey to such hoaxes because they “need to believe something extraordinary” or “satisfy their craving for mystery,” he wrote in an e-mail to Scientific American.
That human desire for mystery is something that UFO promoters—and theyseem to have multiplied in recent years—are adept at fulfilling. Hence, all the recycling and reimagining of classic UFO narratives, such as Men in Black.
On occasion, there is a creative blending that invents a new myth for the UFO canon. The latest is a 512-acre ranch in rural Utah that is supposedly a “hotspot” for UFOs, poltergeists, animal mutilations and “shadow creatures.” A Las Vegas TV journalist (who is also a host of a conspiracy-themed radio show), refers to the ranch as a “paranormal Disneyland.”
It’s the basis for a scripted reality show on the History Channel called The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. The main character is a retired Department of Defense astrophysicist (afeatured character for years on Ancient Aliens) who also happens to be theformer chief scientist of the Pentagon’s 2022 Unidentified Aerial Phenomena report produced by an agency task force.
Like the latest UFO “whistleblower,” these fellows all have otherwise impeccable credentials. As Mick West, a prominent skeptic and debunker, writes in a 2021 Guardianpiece, such influential messengers couch “weak evidence” for UFOs as compelling. “Don’t be fooled,” he cautions.
But what if, like fans of professional wrestling, we know it’s just a big goof and don’t care? After all, ghost stories are fun. It’s the same with UFOs. The filmmaker behind the Alien Autopsy video latersaid he regretted his deception, but admitted “it was a joke, a bit of fun.”
Avid consumers of UFO stories seem to be in on the joke. “Part of this whole thing is just wonderful bullshit,” Adam Frank, an astrophysicist at the University of Rochester, said to me in a recent conversation about the latest wave of UFO mania. “It has nothing to do with science, but we all love talking about aliens.” Frank was speaking in general about the silliness factor that has long made it virtually impossible to take UFOs seriously—except as a sociocultural phenomenon.
Pop culture needs a consistent diet of this junk food to meet our incessant UFO hunger. Will we ever kick the habit? UFO promoters obviously don’t think so. In recent days, the “whistleblower” hasspoken out more to say that the multiple space alien crafts retrieved by the U.S. military are the size of football fields and held by unnamed U.S. defense contractors. Additionally, he suggested that the Vatican is involved in the cover-up and that, oh, by the way, people have been murdered to keep all this hushed up.
That does not sound like fun. Perhaps this is why no one texted it to me.
