Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

SOMEONE!! Used Huge Nuclear Reactor in Africa 2 Billion Years Ago
In June 1972, nuclear scientists at the Pierrelatte uranium enrichment plant in south-east France noticed a strange deficit in the amount of uranium-235 they were processing. That’s a serious problem in a uranium enrichment plant where every gram of fissionable material has to be carefully accounted for.
The problem lay in the ratio of uranium isotopes in their samples. Natural uranium contains three isotopes, always in the same ratios: uranium-238 (99.2744 per cent), uranium-235 (0.7202 per cent) and uranium-234 (0.0054 per cent).
The problem was with the uranium-235 of which there was only 0.600 per cent.
Physicists soon traced the anomaly to the supply of uranium ore from Gabon in West Africa, which contained far less uranium-235 than the ore from anywhere else on the planet, a problem that caused some consternation among nuclear scientists.
So France’s top nuclear scientists began an investigation and, in the process, made one of the more remarkable discoveries in recent history.
This kind of depleted uranium is only found inside nuclear reactors, which burn uranium-235. That set off a hunt for a reactor that could have produced this stuff.
On 25 September 1972, they announced that the depleted uranium had come from Gabon where nuclear scientists had discovered a 2 billion year-old nuclear reactor at the site of the Oklo uranium mines near a town called Franceville. This was a naturally occurring deposit of uranium where the concentration of uranium-235 had been high enough to trigger a self-sustaining nuclear reaction.
Today, say Edward Davis at Kuwait University and a couple of pals review the scientific history of the discovery at Oklo, one of the most extraordinary natural phenomena on the planet.
Since its discovery, the Oklo reactor has been a significant driver of important research in nuclear physics. In particular, physicists have used it to study how buried nuclear waste might spread through the environment. And since the reactor began operating some 2 billion years ago, they’ve also used it to study how the universe’s fundamental constants may have changed during that time.
But the first puzzle that physicists had to deal with in 1972 was how a naturally-occurring reactor could work at all. Nuclear scientists well know that reactors do not work with natural uranium because the level of uranium-235 is too low at only 0.7202 per cent. Instead, the uranium-235 has to be enriched so that it is about 3.5 per cent of the total. So how did so much end up at Oklo?
The answer to this puzzle is that uranium-235 has a shorter half-life than other uranium isotopes and so would have been present in much higher quantities in the Earth’s distant past. When the Solar System was created, for example, about 17 per cent of uranium would have been the 235 isotope. That percentage has fallen steadily since then. When the ore in Gabon was laid down some 2 billion years ago, the concentration of uranium-235 would have been about 4 per cent, more than enough for a self-sustaining nuclear reaction.
The idea is that when a neutrons hits an atom of uranium-235, the atom splits producing two smaller nuclei and several neutrons. These neutrons go on to split other atoms in an ongoing chain reaction.
However, the liberated neutrons are high-energy particles that tend to fly away rapidly. So nuclear reactors usually contain a moderating material that slows down the neutrons so that they can interact with other uranium atoms.
It turns out that water is a reasonable neutron moderator. So an important component of this natural reactor was the presence of water seeping through the uranium ore. And this had an interesting impact on the way the reactors operated.
Nuclear scientists believe that the Oklo reactors operated in pulses. As water flowed into the rock, it moderated the neutrons, allowing a chain reaction to occur. But this increased the temperature of the rock, boiling the water into steam which escaped.
When this happened, the neutrons were no longer able to interact with and split uranium nuclei and the chain reaction stopped. The rock then cooled allowing water to flow back in.
So the Oklo reactors operated in pulses. Today, nuclear scientists have calculated that the chain reaction probably lasted for 30 minutes and then switched off for about 2.5 hours, a pulsing process that continued for about 300,000 years..
While they were on, the reactors were powerful devices. “The reactors likely operated under conditions similar to present day pressurized water reactor systems, with pressures about 150 atmospheres and temperatures of about 300 degrees C,” say Davis and co.
French nuclear scientists carried out a detailed survey of the Oklo site, discovering not just one reactor zone but up to 17 of them over an area of several tens of square kilometres. Some of these were close to the surface and so had been influenced by weathering processes, while others were at depths of up to 400 metres and were more or less pristine.
In addition to the depleted uranium-235, these zones contained numerous fission fragments such as isotopes of zirconium, yttrium, neodymium and cerium. The unusual ratios of these isotopes was an important indicator of what had gone on there almost 2 billion years earlier.
The presence of these fission by-products immediately piqued the interest of nuclear scientists, particularly in the US. Perhaps the biggest challenge facing the nuclear industry is to find a way to deal with the highly radioactive waste that reactors produce. One idea is to bury it but that raises the question of what would happen to this waste over the millions of years during which it remains toxic.
The Oklo reactors were a natural test of this question. So US scientist, in particular, began a program to measure the way in which different fission products migrated away from the reactor zones. “One of the most important, and surprising, early findings was that uranium and most of the rare earth elements did not experience significant mobilization in the past two billion years,” say Davis and co. “Because the wastes were contained successfully in Oklo, it appears not unrealistic to hope that long term disposal in specially selected and engineered geological repositories can be successful.”
This evidence has since become one of the main arguments in favour of nuclear waste repositories such as the one planned at Yucca Mountain in Nevada.
Oklo has also become the focus of physicists studying the possibility that the universe’s fundamental constants may have changed over time. The reason that Oklo may be able to help is that it stopped operating over 1.5 billion years ago. So the nuclear processes that occurred at that time must’ve been governed by the fundamental constants as they were then.
In particular, physicists are interested in the fine structure constant which determines the strength of the electromagnetic interaction. This in turn determines the way neutrons are absorbed in chain reactions and consequently the yields of different fission products.
The focus of most research has been on the amount of samarium-149 produced by these natural reactors. The data places bounds on how much the constant may have changed in the past. The consensus is that the data is consistent with the fine structure constant being actually constant although it doesn’t rule out tiny changes.
Davis and co point out that the Oklo data can also constrain changes in other constants, such as the ratio of light quark masses to the proton mass. To date, this work is consistent with these constants being constant.
The Oklo story ends with a damp squib. After a period of intense interest in the early 1970s, mining continued at Oklo and eventually all the natural reactors were mined out. The one exception was a shallow reactor zone at a place called Bangombé, some 30 kilometres from Oklo, although this has largely been washed out by ground water.
So these zones have been largely lost to science. That’s a shame. It also means that nuclear scientists are unlikely to get better data on natural nuclear reactors using the advanced techniques than those of available in the 1970s.
No other natural reactors have been discovered anywhere on Earth, making Oklo unique. At least for the moment.

Shortly after midnight several bursts of machine gun fire were heard coming from a location in the vicinity where militia member Isidro Puentes Ventura was on guard duty. At dawn, Puentes was found unconscious by an Army patrol and taken to a hospital in Pinar Del Rio, where he remained in shock and unable to speak for six days. Removed to the neurological ward at the Naval Hospital in Havana, Puentes was diagnosed to be suffering from emotional trauma, remaining in shock for another week. At the site where Puentes had been posted, Cuban and Soviet intelligence investigators found forty-eight spent cartridges and fourteen bullets apparently flattened by impact, as well as equally spaced indentations in the ground, indicating that a heavy device had landed. Tests revealed that the soil had been exposed to a high degree of heat. When Puentes recovered consciousness he reported that he had come to within 150 feet of a brilliant round object on the ground, with a dome and several antennas on top. Convinced that the device was an American helicopter, Puentes fired about forty rounds at it. The craft turned orange and emitted a strong whistling sound—Puentes last recollection before losing consciousness. Soviet intelligence specialists subjected Puentes to a fifty-hour interrogation after which he was examined by a team of psychiatrists and put through fifteen hypnosis sessions. No contradictions were found in his story.

The witness while working with the US Naval engineers at Zaragoza Air Base near Zaragoza which was a refurbished NATO facility had decided to take in the surroundings. He had been told by some of the locals that the Monasterio de Piedra near Nuevalos would be an excellent pla…ce to visit. The monastery was about 60 miles away, so he decided it would be an enjoyable day trip. When he arrived he met a young lady who offered to show him around the complex. It was a very hot day, so they took numerous breaks along the way. As the afternoon waned and the early evening approached, it was time for him to head back to Zaragoza. The young lady mentioned that there was a very nice Inn not far from the monastery if he wanted to stay the night, and then get an early start in the morning. So he decided to stay the night—maybe do some exploring that evening. The Inn was very rustic, though quite comfortable. He had dinner outside on the back patio—it was an excellent evening. Though it was dusk he could still see the terrain not far from the Inn. There was a vineyard and a small lavender meadow behind the Inn which led to a series of rocky outcrops. He thought he would take a look around but he first asked the owner if it was OK to do so. He walked through the vineyard and reached a small pond, which had a loud chorus of frogs. By this time it was dark, but there was a fair amount of available moonlight—but he still needed a flashlight to see where he was going. He walked around the pond and started to cross a small bridge over a narrow stream. As he walked over the bridge, he noticed something run through the water about 50 ft. upstream. There was enough moonlight to where he could make out an upright shape. This thing was heading toward the high rocks, though he lost sight of it. He stood silent for about 5 minutes. It was eerie because the frogs were now quiet. The only sound was coming from the direction of the rocks—and the noise was very strange. It sounded like a guttural ‘yak-yak-yak’ series that would pause for a few seconds, then repeat. It would also fade in and out. After a few minutes, it stopped. He had no idea what it was. He crossed the bridge and started to slowly approach the rocks. As he came to the rock face, there was a fairly well-worn trail on the ground along the edge. He walked further until he reached an opening in the rock face. He pointed the flashlight inside and saw that it was a grotto about 15ft deep and high enough for him to stand in. The floor of the grotto was littered with small animal bones, so he figured that there were predators about—most likely fox. He continued on the trail until he heard the ‘yak-yak-yak’ sound again—and it was very close. He instantly stopped walking and started searching around with the flashlight. Just then, some gravel landed on him—and the loud ‘yak-yak-yak’ sound was coming from above him. He quickly looked up and pointed the flashlight. There was a creature standing on a small ledge about 15 ft. away, staring at him with yellow eyes reflecting back. It was screaming ‘yak-yak-yak’ in quick constant rhythm. It was the most ghastly ‘thing’ he had ever witnessed. It was standing on two legs and was about 4-5 ft. tall. It was dark in color and had arms like a human. The face looked like that of a lizard—resembling that of an iguana. After a few seconds it leapt off the edge onto the trail—swiftly running on 2 legs in the opposite direction. It was then that the witness noticed a long tail as it moved away from him. He quickly made his way back to the Inn—and directly to his room. He laid in bed thinking about this creature the entire night. He was terrified to look out the window, fearing that it followed him back to the Inn. Early in the morning he checked out and drove back to Zaragoza.

Villarcayo, Burgos (Spain), middle of the seventies. Bruno Lurachi, Pablo Casado and MC were hunting in the field, at night, when they saw a mysterious light approaching, moving near the treetops. Though each was in a different place, was Pablo Casado who observed the phenomenon more closely. That “light” landed in a wetland full of reeds about 200 meters from the witness. For 5 minutes the hunter… could fully appreciate that it was a transparent pear-shaped artifact.Inside the object Mr. Casado distinguished the presence of a humanoid, human in appearance, about 2.5 meters high, was clinging to a vertical bar. The mysterious visitor was halfway up the “transparent pear”. After that time the object is lifted off the ground at high speed, illuminating everything with a powerful white light dazzling the three hunters. Other residents of the nearby town of San Martín Rojo and Villarcayo denounced the presence of strange lights in the area.
ALIEN CRAFT SPOTTED ENTERING THE WATER IN LAKE ONTARIO
In late August of 1981, between five and six pm, three men and two women were driving west from a mountain area slightly east of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and south of Lake Ontario. The weather was clear and sunny. At a point, roughly half way through Hamilton, one of the occupants in the car saw a strange craft through the window of the car, and by their exclamation, alerted the others in the car to the sight. The craft was a red-orange, domed saucer shaped object, which appeared solid, with many yellow lights radiating from the base or bottom. In answer to the question of size, she (the witness of this report) answered that the diameter would be roughly 3-4 car lengths, and 3 car heights for the height of craft (also a rough guess). Her closing remark on this was “Not a small craft”. Indeed it wasn’t, as I measured two cars belonging to family members that are of “medium size”. They average out to 15’ 7” in length and 4’ 6” in height. This would put the UFO in the area of 46’ 9” to 62’ 4” in diameter and 13’ 6” in height. Slightly smaller than the B‑25 Mitchell bomber of WW2 … “Not a small craft !!!” Its speed and altitude could only be expressed as that of an aircraft on approach for a landing near an airport. It was on a course roughly parallel to theirs. Due to the curving road it was first sighted to their right (north) and then over them and then to the left. Its course was roughly north-northwest. While driving the radio had been on and, while in the vicinity of the object, was now getting static (EM effects), which the driver turned it off to avoid further distraction. Someone in the car at this point had said, “Follow that UFO”. All being in agreement, they did precisely that. Although the road had many curves, the craft was seen to move in a straight line towards Hamilton Harbour. As it approached the Harbour, it appeared to slow down, and then angle itself downward and gently entered the water. At the point of entry (rough approximation), it can be seen on the nautical chart that the water depth at this point is 7 or more meters (23 feet) and gets deeper in the direction of Lake Ontario, so the UFO had at least 10 feet to spare. Therefore a craft of 13 feet in height could be covered by water. There are many cases of UFOs submerging in shallow waters. The witness reporting this case states that the UFO had passed them and was at a distance away when it entered the Harbour, and does not recall any major disturbance of the water as it went in. After it had entered the water the group lost sight of the area for a period, due to the topography. Overcome with curiosity, the group went to the waterfront to see what they could. From a city map of Hamilton, the distance from the “mountain” area and the waterfront is roughly 12 km or 7.45 Statute miles, and could have been reached quickly. They remained in the area for approximately seven hours, wondering if the UFO would surface, whether any aircraft would attempt a search of the area, and delving into various possibilities of the event. Between 12:20 and 1:00 am, two objects were seen to partially emerge and remained in that position through the point that the group finally left. The question of these two objects being submarines came up and has been done away with, as information from the Canadian Navy states that it does not use the few subs they have in any of the Great Lakes. Another possibility regarding the emerging objects might be the tide going out and revealing some fixed underwater object. This portion of the sighting is the most speculative and should not detract from the sighting of the craft and its actions. NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

On 21 April 2014, myself, my son and his wife were traveling back from Albuquerque New Mexico. They had just returned from a trip and I had picked them up at the airport there. At the time of the sighting, we were traveling east on NM 380 headed towards Carrizozo New Mexico with an intended destination of Alamogordo New Mexico.
At approximately 0135-0140 hours, my daughter in law noticed lights in the night sky and mentioned them asking her husband what they were. I didn’t see them initially but was able to after we came around a bend and could see over the terrain. I pulled the car over to the side of the road and initially we were watching the lights from inside the car. I took a few pictures and then began making a video on my cell phone. There were 4 lights initially that appeared much closer and much brighter than the stars or any ambient lighting. The lights seemed to descend slowly and also formed in to a triangle shape. After a few minutes of observing these initial lights, a set of 4 more appeared. They were higher in elevation and also decended slowly.
After about 4 minutes or so, my phone quit recording. There were aircraft in the area. We saw at least two that were in very close proximity to the lights. One flew “between” the two sets of lights, and one flew towards the higher set but then turned abruptly and reversed course. I found the sightings pretty intriguing. Initially I thought that they may have been aircraft flares but the movement in to triangular shapes negates that thought to a degree. Flares that I am familiar with are free falling, parachute suspended, and unguided. It was interesting to watch them for as long as we did. Eventually we lost sight of them over the horizon/behind a hill on the side of the road, but none the less, very intriguing!
Attached are a few photo’s we took along with a video that is about 4 minutes long. The quality is fair for the video, but the photo’s are a bit grainy and fuzzy due to my unsteady hands. (Old age, not fear)
There have been a number of UFO sightings and crop circles reported in the Russian city of Yeisk during the last century. After the fall of the Soviet Union, an active UFO-research group, headed by Yuri Stroganov (now a journalist) was established in Yeisk.
Some years ago I received an interesting confirmation about UFO sightings from Yeisk, and a very coherent explanation as to the nature of the objects.
A prominent Russian UFO researcher, author, and journalist Mikhail Gershtein sent it to me, and I want to share it.

In 1960, a group of Soviet army cadets observed anomalous phenomena in the sky. They decided to write a letter about it to the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
The letter contained the following:
September 10, 1960
Dear Editors:
We are residents of Yeisk. We are asking you to explain an unusual phenomenon. In August of 1960, by chance, twice we have observed flight of a celestial object. On September 9, at 20:15 (Moscow time), the flight again took place, from west to east. The heavenly body was of an average size. The speed of its flight was less than that of a satellite.
The flight lasted 8 to 12 minutes.
Here is what was unusual about it:
1) It flew sideways from the observers ;
2) Its luminescence was flickering;
3) Its movement was curvilinear
What could it have been? Would we be able to observe it again?

On September 16, 1960, the editors of the Krasnaya Zvezda sent the letter they received from Yeisk to the Moscow Planetarium. They requested that the Planetarium scientists reply to the letter.
Sometime later (the date is not indicated), the Moscow Planetarium sent a reply to the cadets.

As to your inquiry, we are informing you that the comrades who sent you the letters had observed research projects, planned through the program of the International Geophysics Year. The purpose of the projects was the study of our planet Earth as a whole; scientists from over 66 countries had participated, including Soviet scientists.

While the explanation offered by Soviet scientists was probably correct, other anomalous phenomena sighted over the city and in its fields cannot be easily explained.
The Yeisk Air Force Academy and VM Komarov Higher Military Aviation School, and 959th Training Regiment are located in the city. The Aviation School had trained such prominent personalities as the Cuban astronaut Arnaldo Tamayo-Mendez, and the former Commander of Ukrainian Air Force Viktor Strelnikov . Yeisk is located in Southern Russia. The Krasnodar Krai, of which Yeisk is a part, is a region of great economic significance for Russia. The Krai (region) contains transportation infrastructure vital to Russian and Caspian Basin energy exports. It is also an important agricultural area and lies in Russia’s fertile Black Earth zone.

In the summer of 1991, on August 16, Maxim Churbakov, a cadet of the Yeisk Military Aviation School, took off on his third solo flight. The engine of his airplane functioned for just fourteen minutes and then it stalled. Churbakov reported to the flight control: “Forty-second, engine shutdown, altitude 1400, r.p.m. down to 20 percent.”
On the ground they were unable to find a solution to the problem at once, and the cadet had to make a decision himself. Fifty-seconds after the engine shutdown he reported: “I am preparing to eject and am turning away from the town.”
At the moment of ejection, the plane was over a body of water. Soon a fishing boat picked up Maxim. Meanwhile, on the shore his plane was in flames.
In this case no UFO was involved. In the newspaper of the military district there soon appeared a snapshot of Maxim with his flying instructor, and the correspondent quoted the words of the area commander Air Force Major General V. Mihailov: “You know, when I first heard about this accident in the air training regiment, I was upset. It’s a pity to lose an expensive machine. But when I established all the circumstances of the incident, when I had spoken to the cadet, and listened to the tape of the radio traffic, I was even glad. I felt much better about it. What fine people we have!”
After this rejoicing over the cadet’s composure and presence of mind, the general gave instructions that a copy of that tape should be used as a training aid…so that other future pilots should learn from it how to behave in emergencies.
The correspondent concluded his article on the optimistic note: “…after the necessary medical examination Maxim will return to his flight training. And, I am certain he will become a fine pilot.

The newspaper appeared on August 27, but Maxim was a short-lived hero…for only one day. To be more exact, until August 28, when at 5:31 p.m., during another training flight, at an altitude of 4000 meters, he saw an orange sphere. The object was similarly above the clouds, somewhat on his starboard side, and Maxim immediately reported it to the flight control. Meanwhile, the sphere had begun approaching him, increasing to two meters in diameter.
It burned his eyes, and the pilot shut them and lowered his head. (“At first I felt curious, but then I felt dread” Maxim later recalled.)
From Maxim Churbakov’s Report:
I had the feeling that someone was watching me, and there was an unpleasant sensation on the back of my head in the right side. I began lifting my head, but was unable to look–for some reason I experienced a feeling of fear. The “generator” indicator on the emergency panel went on. I began reporting a generator failure, but just then the “fire” warning system went on. I saw a trail of smoke in the wake of the plane. The burning sensation in my eyes increased, and smoke appeared in the cockpit. I began extinguishing the fire, and reported everything to the flight control.
I was ordered to eject. I declined to do so, because I saw a large populated center in front. The “fire” warning light continued to blink. I went into a glide toward the fields. My eyes hurt badly, and because of tears in them I could not see well. Much of the radio traffic was incomprehensible. Someone was intervening in the radio exchange, and sometimes there was nothing but a screeching sound in the earphones. The plane was difficult to control, and its speed fluctuated plus-minus 100 kilometers. At an altitude of 1000 meters I ejected and came down in a field of maize.
On the ground the cadet was regarded with unconcealed suspicion. To wreck two military planes in a row was no laughing matter. A week later the area commander came to the hospital where the recent hero was being examined. To start with, the commander debunked his recent act of heroism, saying that the engine of his plane had been shut down by the cadet himself and had not stalled. The general admitted that he had been hasty in commending the future pilot. Actually, General Mihailov said some more things.
From Maxim Churbakov’s Report:
He said they had found an aluminum wire, which I had supposedly wound around the autopilot switch. And while doing so, I had let go of the control stick. The commander said that all this had been proved and there was no point in my denying it. If I did not confess, the documents would be sent to the prosecutor’s office.
Such “cordial” discussions were conducted with him more than once. In the end, criminal proceedings were instituted against him. It was soon after that his mother, in tears, and her visibly upset son arrived at the Russian UFO Center (SOYUZUFOTSENTR at the time), begging its researchers to find an explanation of the mysterious sphere. Maxim was accused of deliberately destroying expensive machinery. He was to be made a scapegoat. The military authorities informed the mother that Maxim, a young man, can spend the next ten years in prison, and still be only 29 at the end of his sentence. Zinaida Ivanovna, Maxim’s mother, did not want her son to spend even a day in prison. Maxim was already expelled from the Yeisk Military Aviation School (visscheye voyennoye aviatzionnoye uchilische, a prestigious institution), and sent to serve in the army.
Several Russian ufologists initiated an investigation of their own. They recalled a similar case in the Soviet Union in 1981. In October of that year Air Force pilot V. Korotkov was flying his MIG, when suddenly a glowing sphere, approximately five meters in diameter, appeared in front of it. For a few minutes it accompanied the fighter. As a result, the radio communication system ceased operating, fuel combustion was disturbed, and the engine shut down. Then, the sphere shifted toward the tail unit. There was an explosion that damaged the fin, and after that the sphere vanished from view. The engine began functioning again, and the airplane made a safe landing.
Experts investigating this incident arrived at the conclusion that the entire blame rested with glowing plasma. It ionized the air, and a powerful electric charge built up on the plane’s skin, exploding and fusing part of the fin. It too could have caused the engine shutdown.

The investigators at the SOYUZUFOTSENTR also reviewed many facts on record of car engines stopping when a UFO appeared in the vicinity. Ufologists know, too, that the effects of UFOs extend not just to human beings, who experience a burning sensation in their eyes, temporary blindness, and shed tears. They also affect machinery, electrical equipment being particularly vulnerable. As for what happened to Churbakov, the area where the incident occurred – the boundary between Rostov region and Krasnodar Krai – is well-known as one where there have been frequent UFO sightings. In fact, one of the most active Russian ufologists resides in Yeisk, and has published articles about Russian military studies of UFOs. His name is Yuri Stroganov, and his research work is widely known and respected throughout the world. Yuri sent an interesting piece of information to the Russian Ufology Research Center (the information was later confirmed by Alexei Burenin, a top Russian chemical engineer).
In 1992, a UFO landing was reported from the Two Sisters hill near the town of Belaya Kalitva in the Rostov region. At the site, a circle 9 meters in diameter was discovered, and there was a black deposit in the soil.
An analysis of rock samples from the Two Sisters hill performed at a laboratory in the city of Rostov revealed that the samples were of a brittle porous mass, yellowish brown on fracture and with traces of thermal effects (fused and enriched with manganese and iron) on the surface.
The surface changes in the samples were 2-3 mm deep, and the manganese content in these layers was hundreds of times higher than in samples of the rock proper.
The first report about Maxim Churbakov’s misfortune arrived from Russia in 1992. Boyevaya Vakhta (Battle Watch, a Russian military newspaper) carried an article titled “An orange sphere against fighter airplane.” The author, Y. Leonidov, was clearly moved by the young pilot’s story. He asked the military investigators to pay attention to the information about UFOs that has come down from such “heights” as the Air Force Colonel General I. Maltsev. The distinguished Russian general had revealed in 1991 that the UFOs encountered by Soviet fliers had possessed great maneuverability, as if lacking any inertia. The aircraft on our planet, added Maltsev, did not possess such capabilities.
In 1992, Y. Leonidov was not very hopeful that Maxim would be set free.
Two years later everything changed. The investigators of the Russian UFO Center had completed their work. Y. Leonidov published excerpts of the investigation in the UFO Center’s newspaper.

Having examined the documents and circumstances relating to the event, the commission considers that during the flight there was a typical encounter with a UFO. The data of the UFO center confirm the diversity of the effects of unidentified objects on people and machinery. The most frequent of these are effects of electric equipment (as a rule, it switches off). In the case of human beings, it is the organs of vision that are affected first.
The Churbakov case was examined not only at the UFO Center. The findings of the ufologists were confirmed by S. Kuzionov and Y. Raitorovsky, two well-known Russian anomalous phenomena investigators. The experts tested the cadet by subjecting him to retrospective hypnosis.

Maxim Churbakov was guided by common sense and acted in line with the circumstances that arose. This is a normal reaction to such an event. His account is absolutely truthful, and the accuracy of his description in his report of what happened cannot be questioned.

An analysis of the evidence submitted justifies the conclusion that the stimulation of engine shutdowns and a fire during M. Churbakov’s flights on August 16 and 28, 1991, took place not because of his will or desire; therefore his actions implied no breaches of flight regulations, and the criminal case against Churbakov shall be dismissed owing to the absence of any crime in his acts.
The story of the encounter between Maxim Churbakov and a UFO had a happy end, after all. The former pilot escaped imprisonment. Also, because he was expelled from the uchilische, Maxim did not become a military pilot, and escaped the war in Chechnya. The encounter with a UFO turned out to be very auspicious for Maxim, after all.

LOS ANGELES — The failure of the primary air traffic control system around Los Angeles last week happened because electronic data from a single plane's flight plan confused the system's software, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
When that system failed, a backup helped safely guide flights already in the air, but hundreds of planes across the nation headed for Southern California were ordered not to take off Wednesday as an air traffic control facility north of Los Angeles effectively rebooted.
The Pentagon confirmed Monday that an Air Force U-2 spy plane was conducting training operations in the area. It is not unusual for a U-2 to operate in the region, and the necessary flight plan had been submitted for the high-flying plane, Col. Steve Warren said.
FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford would not specify whether the flight plan that caused the issue was that of the U-2.
"It was an individual flight plan and the issue had to do with the way it was coded," he said.
Since the incident, the FAA has been analyzing what went wrong with its En Route Automation Modernization system. The computer system, known as ERAM, allows air traffic controllers at several dozen "en route centers" around the country to identify and direct planes at high altitudes.
The Los Angeles en route center is located at the Palmdale Regional Airport, about 40 miles north of Los Angeles. It controls high altitude air traffic over southern and central California, southern Nevada, southwestern Utah and western Arizona — except airspace designated for military use.
When the system went down, air traffic controllers in Palmdale had to call their counterparts at neighboring centers to update them on each plane's flight plan, according to Nate Pair, the president for Los Angeles Center of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. While that was more onerous than normal operations — when computers automatically pass along updates — the system still worked, Pair said.
"Not knowing why it was happening is the reason why we decided to shut everything down," he said. "They're searching to find the cause of the glitch, and we're waiting analysis on that."
Here’s a curiosity straight off Google Maps, using satellite view. Three craft are heading due north but one’s exhibiting peculiar properties. Two appear to be commercial jets, but might the craft leading the vanguard be something else? This shot was taken on April 11th, 2013 over Zhumadian City.
This isn’t the first UFO sighting in Henan Province, China. One afternoon, the day before the 43rd anniversary Kenneth Arnold’s saucer sighting, something artificial exploded that afternoon over Kaifeng. Whether it was man-made, or of extraterrestrial origin, remains undetermined.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of eyewitnesses reported seeing slow-moving fireballs heading northeast from the southwest over Zhumadian City, Luoyang, Xuchang City, Jiaozuo, Zhengzhou, Pingdingshan, and Kaifeng for about five minutes, around 3:00 in the afternoon. For a sense of scale, Luoyang and Kaifeng are the most distant locations on the east-west axis, separated by 120 miles / 194 kilometers. Along the north-south axis, Zhumadian and Jiaozuo are 190 miles / 305 km apart.
About 200 people near the Zhumadian train station watched something flame across the sky towards Shaopian. Other accounts described several objects flying in formation, resembling a ‘big tadpole tailed by many small tadpoles’. The object was moving very fast, covering nearly 600 kilometers in a few minutes, but people on the ground remarked the object was moving slowly from their perspective.1
Everyone and their ancestors were outside seeking shade and a cool breeze from the oppressive June heat. Even the police sought relief sleeping on their station’s roof. Out of the blue, the cops’s walkie talkies began hissing and crackling loudly, accompanied a sound described as a ‘purring aircraft propeller’. Stirred from their mid-afternoon nap, Kaifeng’s finest watched a fiery red contrail streaking through the sky, followed by a powerful explosion.
Kinda sounds like a meteoric airburst, like the one that rattled Chelyabinsk last year, right? Whatever detonated that afternoon showered the area with metallic debris. There are no reports of strange falls following the Chelyabinsk incident, artificial or manmade.
It’s about 50cm long, 8-11cm wide, with a 23 ‘backbone’ running along its length.
This piece crashed in a nearby courtyard, falling through trees, breaking branches, then denting a bicycle’s handlebars.

One of the first investigators on the scene was Zhang Weimin, vice president of the local UFO research association. Once he got his hands on the large fragment, he brought it to the Research Institute of Luoyang City. Experts in the chemistry department ascertained the material was non-radioactive, composed of 89.03% aluminum, 6.84% magnesium, 3.83% silicon, .30% zinc, along with traces of iron, and other elements, in addition to determining the piece had a melting point of 3000° Celsius.2
Zhang’s next stop was the Kaifeng Air Force Base, seeking any clues regarding the debris’s origin. Wang Fuyu, a mechanic, didn’t believe it came from a conventional craft since it was better than anything he’s seen used for airplanes. Others who spoke with Zhang said they heard no news of a plane crash or similar incident in that timeframe.

Nuts and bolts evidence aside, there’s an important participant in this event. His name is Zhixiang Xian, and he was enjoying wine with his brother Zhijun in the courtyard when his bike got banged up. Not knowing any better, they set about collecting the bits and pieces of debris which were cool to the touch despite having been, according to speculation, nearly 6,000° Celsius a few moments before.
Their toon tree, which bore the brunt of the fragment’s impact, never recovered. According to the brothers their tree never sprouted new leaves after winter, despite showing no sign of illness or infestation. It just withered and died.
As for a tenuous E.T. connection, in November 1991, Zhixiang suffered a stroke at work. He wound up in a coma, on life support, at the local hospital. While unconscious, he claims to have been visited by two tall, gray-skinned humanoids in bright white clothes. Zhixiang woke up not too long after his encounter. From all accounts, Zhixiang made a full recovery but passed away at the age of 60 in 2005.

Or Scott, perhaps it's because the satellites used to take images for Google Earth are, by their very nature as satellites, high in the sky and as such are incapable of photographing the side of mountains, hence the stretched or 'cloaked' appearance...
Scott adds: "Also, don't allow others to intimidate you by telling you what something isn't. If you know what it is, then stick by your guns and don't back down.
"Fear of embarrassment is a key psychologic strategy that the US gov uses to keep the alien existence hidden."

May 7, 2014 - Humans are not yet ready to make contact with intelligent aliens, a study suggests.
Space psychologist Professor Gabriel de la Torre came to the conclusion after questioning 116 American, Italian and Spanish university students.
The survey assessed participants' knowledge of astronomy and their perception of cosmological order - the "place" things occupy in the universe.
It also touched on religious topics and the likelihood of contact with extraterrestrials.
The survey indicated that the students were ill-prepared for the momentous impact contact with ET might have on the human race, said Prof de la Torre.
Most lacked awareness of many aspects of astronomy and their views were coloured by religion.
"This pilot study demonstrates that the knowledge of the general public of a certain education level about the cosmos and our place within it is still poor," said Prof De la Torre, from the University of Cadiz in Spain.
"Therefore, a cosmic awareness must be further promoted - where our mind is increasingly conscious of the global reality that surrounds us - using the best tool available to us: education. In this respect, we need a new Galileo to lead this journey." He added: "Regarding our relation with a possible intelligent extraterrestrial life, we should not rely on moral reference points of thought, since they are heavily influenced by religion. Why should some more intelligent beings be 'good'?"
The survey was carried out amid controversy over the on-going Active Seti (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) project.
Active Seti sets out to send radio messages from Earth to the stars, as well as listen for them.
It has been criticised by some experts, including top British physicist Professor Stephen Hawking. He warned of the consequences of revealing ourselves to technologically advanced beings who may not have our best interests at heart.
A high-powered message sent to the Gliese 581 system, a five-planet solar system 20 light-years away, is due to arrive in 2029.
Gliese 581 has two planets in its "habitable zone", an orbital region where temperatures are mild enough to allow liquid surface water and possibly life.
Prof de la Torre, who worked on the Mars 500 project which tested the psychological pressures on astronauts travelling to Mars, also questions the wisdom of Active Seti.
"What would happen if it was successful and 'someone' received our signal?" he said. "Are we prepared for this type of contact?"
Writing in the journal Acta Astronautica, he urges Seti scientists to look for alternative strategies.

Het raadsel van telepathie bij tweelingen
Bestaat er een speciale band tussen eeneiige tweelingen? We nemen vaak aan dat dit zo is, maar er is opvallend weinig over gepubliceerd. Schrijver Guy Lyon Playfair gaat in zijn boek Tweeling-Telepathie uitvoerig in op een telepathische connectie bij identieke tweelingen. Volgens Playfair is de wetenschap veel dichter bij een verklaring van het verschijnsel telepathie dan ze zelf denkt.
“Tweelingen hebben dezelfde gevoelens als andere broers en zussen, ze zijn alleen veel intenser,” aldus de Belgische professor Robert Vlietinck van de KU Leuven. Hij volgde tijdens zijn carrière al meer dan 14.000 tweelingen en weet als geen ander wat tweelingen bindt en scheidt.
Het meest merkwaardige vindt Vlietinck hoe tweelingen elkaar buitenzintuiglijk aanvoelen. Als de ene pijn heeft, voelt de andere dat. Het extreemste voorbeeld dat hij hiervan kent, is een Canadese tweeling die gescheiden opgroeide. In een interview vertelde de ene dat hij zich op 3 februari van een bepaald jaar zo slecht voelde, alsof hij doodging, en dat dit drie dagen duurde.
Gescheiden van hem vertelde de andere dat hij die derde februari met zijn vliegtuig was neergestort in het Canadese woud. Hij brak zijn been en zat vast in de cockpit. Pas drie dagen daarna werd hij gered, net op het ogenblik dat zijn broer van zijn drukkende pijn af was, aldus Vlietinck.
Het is een doodgewone avond als de Britse Leanne besluit om even een bad te nemen. Binnen de kortste keren wordt ze wat moe van het warme water, knippert ze met haar ogen en glijdt ze weg. Op dat moment ‘voelt’ haar tweelingzus Gemma dat er iets aan de hand is. Ze snelt naar boven en merkt dat haar jongere zusje onder water is verdwenen en niet meer ademt.
“Eerst dacht ik dat ze misschien een grap uithaalde, maar toen ik haar hoofd optilde, zag ze helemaal blauw,” zei de Britse tegen de pers. Hierop probeerde ze uit alle macht haar zusje te reanimeren. Een ambulancebroeder liet weten dat Leanne was overleden als haar tweelingzusje niet het gevoel had gekregen dat er een verdieping hoger iets mis was.
Volgens de zusjes Leanne en Gemma Houghton was het aan telepathie te danken dat Gemma haar zusje net op tijd wist te redden van de verdrinkingsdood.

Hilary Porter weet het zeker: buitenaardsen nemen haar om de haverklap mee naar een andere wereld en met haar zijn er nog veel meer mensen die hetzelfde meemaken. Binnenkort spreekt ze op een bijeenkomst voor mensen die haar ervaringen delen.
“Ik ben een gezond en normaal persoon,” zei de 67-jarige Engelse, die in haar leven goede banen heeft gehad en zelfs bij het Britse ministerie van Defensie werkte. De meeste mensen vinden het echter moeilijk haar serieus te nemen als ze over buitenaardsen begint. “Ik word al mijn hele leven meegenomen. Ik heb er niet voor gekozen. Het gebeurt al zo lang ik me kan herinneren.”
Er zijn nog ongeveer 100 Britten die dezelfde ervaringen hebben al Hilary. Ze komen binnenkort in de plaats Hastings bijeen op een conferentie waar ze hun ervaringen met buitenaardsen met elkaar gaan bespreken. De buitenaardsen gaan slim te werk, aldus Hilary. “Ze staan plotseling voor me, met hun donkere huid, grote neusgaten en kleine mond. Ze zijn niet groot maar wel erg sterk. Ze trekken me zo hun voertuig in,” vertelt ze aan de Mirror.
Volgens Hilary hebben buitenaardsen in 1974 ingebroken in een topgeheim laboratorium waar ze op dat moment werkzaam was. In de jaren zeventig werd ze naar eigen zeggen in de buurt van Cardiff meegenomen aan boord van een zeshoekig schip.
Hilary wil graag van andere deelnemers aan de conferentie weten of ze ook last hebben van migraine na een ontvoering en of zij ook littekens en blauwe plekken hebben. “Ik weet dat veel mensen hetzelfde hebben meegemaakt, maar ik heb ze nog niet ontmoet,” zei ze.
Rond haar huis ziet ze geregeld vreemde driehoekige objecten en felle lichten die in formatie vliegen. Het is volgens Hilary uitgesloten dat het legertoestellen zijn van een nabijgelegen vliegbasis.
Haar partner Ken Parsons meent dat de buitenaardsen onze planeet bezoeken om genetisch materiaal af te nemen. “Je hebt grijze wezens, die iedereen herkent, maar dat zijn slechts dienaren,” zei hij. “De reptielen zijn hogere wezens en dan is er nog een mensachtige soort.”

In the video, a blue light moves through the night sky, then stops and hovers. It appears that the video was recorded from inside a vehicle. Some have suggested the UFO is just the reflection of a light inside the vehicle. Others believe the object could be an LED-adorned remote-controlled craft like a quadcopter.

Swiss scientists say they can prove beyond a doubt that the Lost City of Atlantis was on Mars, and its astronauts traded with ancient Egypt for thousands of years!
Even more incredible, they claim to have the evidence to show that the legendary King Tut died spectacularly in a space shuttle crash with an alien crew.
“The Martian Civilization destroyed itself or was destroyed by a meteor while Egypt was still in its prime,” Dr. Stephan Weisz told a gathering of reporters and scientists in Bern, Switzerland. But the inhabitants left their mark both on Earth and Mars. Top secret photographs taken by America’s Martian probes clearly show the remains of temples on the surface of the planet.
“Egypt’s pyramids and the ability to mummify the human body are definitely the result of technologies that originated not on Earth but someplace else, in this case Mars. It is our belief that the Atlantans traded these technologies to the Egyptians for gold.”
Dr. Weisz and a colleague, Egyptologist Conrad Vetsch, said that a recently deciphered Egyptian scroll first led them to believe that Atlantis was located on Mars. The scroll describes a technologically advanced civilization existing beyond our own planet “in the vast, black ocean of space.”
It also alludes to space travel and the use of a shuttle craft to ferry manlike extraterrestrials from a space-bound mother ship to the surface of Earth.
“Researchers have long known that the Egyptians were exposed to flight because an elaborate model of what they called a glider was found in Tut’s tomb,” Dr. Weisz told the group. “In light of information gleaned from the scrolls, we now see that the glider was in fact the replica of a space shuttle. And it was just such a space craft that crashed with Tut aboard.”
Not everyone attending the conference agreed with the experts’ theories. Dr. Seth Rausch, a German historian, thinks they went too far in calling the Martian civilization Atlantis. “I don’t doubt that the Egyptians were in contact with extraterrestrials,” said the expert. “But until we actually inspect the ruins on Mars, there is no way to know if they are the remains of Atlantis.”
“In my opinion, if Atlantis did exist, it existed here on Earth.”
Norwegian astronomer Elling Gade agreed. “Atlantis might have been the colony of an alien civilization. But it most definitely was located on this planet,” he said.
As everyone probably knows by now, a new, 840 page government report on the euphemistically described “climate disruption” has been issued.
The report, which focuses mainly on the US-related impact of climate change, comes as no surprise to those who’ve followed Billy Meier’s prophetic warnings, beginning in 1951:
“24. And also therewith overpopulation will bear the guilt, because overpopulation will become monstrously negative and will thereby give rise to an unnatural climate change that in only one decade from today will already begin to effect the world very detrimentally.”
Of course it’s not politically, religiously or economically correct yet to address the underlying cause of all of this,…overpopulation. A mere mention of the word has people screaming hysterically about the “evil elite and their plans for genocide”, etc. (Screaming has, however, become just a little more difficult, due to the decline in the quality of the air from air pollution, etc.)
In fact, the new report even echoes Meier’s own predictions – from 63 years ago – of increases in the intensity and frequency of hurricanes and storms:
“23. Landslides and avalanches, as well as earthquakes and seaquakes as well as every kind of storms will prevail; gales and typhoons, hurricanes and tornados will increase ever more in their numbers and will become ever more violent and destructive.”
Droughts, floods, wildfires and heat waves are highlighted in this article about the report, which also informs us that hundreds of top scientists were involved in preparing it and that “…the warming of the past 50 years is primarily due to human-induced emissions of heat-trapping gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. These emissions come mainly from the burning of coal, oil and gas, the report states.”
Meier not only spelled out other related manifestations of these manmade causes in his 1951 letter:
“21. Through the guilt of the people, all storms will assume increasing and more violent forms, such as hail storms, blizzards and flooding rains, as however also the ozone-layer will become very dangerously damaged.”
…but elaborated upon the resultant consequences that are only now being “discovered”, in 1958:
“123.) But still the human will be obstinate and not listen to the words, advice and warnings of the prophets and the wise, yet that will be avenged, as violent fires will destroy great forests, villages and towns and demand many human lives, because the conflagrations will have primeval force and drive people from their native homelands which will be robbed by unscrupulous plundering, as it will also be in the villages and towns that will be abandoned because of seaquakes and earthquakes and because of storms.”
In case there’s any doubt at all about what Meier predicted – a doomsday script that humanity appears to be faithfully following while being unaware of its existence – he spelled it (and global warming) out quite clearly:
“54.) Through the madness of his overpopulation, the human has already detrimentally altered the world and the climate in such a way that a climbing climatic warming becomes apparent that will be carried far into the Third Millennium and release monstrous natural catastrophes, yet that will not be the end, because everything goes further in the same style and at the beginning of the Third Millennium more than seven billion people will be on the Earth, which will lead to even greater harm and to destruction worldwide because on one hand nature strikes back in vengeance and on the other hand, the human undertakes everything which will destroy the entire environment and life.”
Please don’t trouble yourself trying to understand just why the government, media, environmental groups, etc., etc., haven’t long pointed Meier’s impeccably prophetically accurate scientific out…let alone attempted to do something about it, long ago.
In fact, Meier actually and of course presciently sums it all up quite nicely:
“127.) And in the Third Millennium the time comes when big parts of the continents disappear and the people will have to flee to the mountains, yet their sense of the catastrophes will only be of short duration, because they will forget everything again quickly and therefore make an effort to do much rebuilding, because they are already creating phantasmagoria, through movies and television, as well as later through a worldwide netting of computers and electronics, through which they deceive themselves and see things that do not exist, and are only visually determined for the eye, subsequently their sense for reality disappears and they can no longer distinguish between reality and fiction, whereby they lose themselves more and more in the labyrinth of life, while those who produce phantasms commercially as well as religious and sectarian phantasms, have an easy game with the people of faith, who they deceive in every possible manner and make them into humble beings, like cringing dogs.”
Perhaps you noticed that he not only foresaw and described this pathetically lost generation of shallow thinking, overly entertained techno-addicts, he tosses in predicting the internet for good measure (gotcha, Al Gore).
To be completely accurate though, he already hinted at it, in his 1951 letter when he said:
35. Televisions, already invented, will belong to every family and, as well, to everyday life, as will the technology of the computer, which is already being worked on diligently in America, Germany, Japan and the Soviet Union.
…and I think he actually gets the nod here for the internet since he mentions “information media” and “public advertising”:
36. The television and the computer will become the most important information media, however also, as significant forms for the public advertising of prostitution.
And so, to all the utterly spineless, self-centered, profit-oriented, irresponsible people in the governments, media and other positions of power to whom this information has been sent consistently for over 63 years, who are stuck in their greed and religious and political correctness, as well as those of us who complain, “What can I, just one person, do?” and have consequently done nothing, who’ve littered the virtual landscape with phony screen names, belying delusional, ego-bloated false personas from which are launched anonymous, derisive, cynical, sniping comments and attacks on the terrestrial and extraterrestrial sources of this information, intended as it has been to help us help ourselves to assure our own future survival…you/we can run but you/we can’t hide.
