Het Amerikaanse ruimtevaartbureau NASA plant nog voor dit jaar twee nieuwe missies onder water. Speciaal opgeleide astronauten zullen daarvoor éénmaal negen en éénmaal zeven opeenvolgende dagen doorbrengen in een wetenschappelijk lab ongeveer 20 meter onder het wateroppervlak voor de kust van Florida, zo heeft de NASA meegedeeld.

Nieuwe begraafplaats met 50 mummies ontdekt in Egypte  - HLN.be

In de Vallei van de Koningen in Egypte is een nieuwe begraafplaats ontdekt. Daarin bevinden zich een vijftigtal mummies. Het zou gaan om prinsen en prinsessen van de achttiende dynastie van de farao's van het Oude Egypte, die leefden tussen 1550 en 1292 voor Christus. De ontdekking werd bekendgemaakt door het Egyptische ministerie van Oudheden.

Voorhoofd van 9.500 jaar oud gevonden in Noordzee - HLN.be

Vissers hebben vanaf de bodem van de Noordzee een menselijk voorhoofd van ongeveer 9.500 jaar oud opgevist. Het is een van de oudste menselijke resten die ooit in of bij Nederland zijn gevonden, stelt de Noord-Hollandse gedeputeerde Elvira Sweet.

Special Reports

Secretary of State Cordell Hull Saw Aliens

Washington D.C. -- William E. Jones Ohio MUFON reports, “This information has recently been given to researchers by descendants of Secretary of State Cordell Hull who was the longest serving Secretary of State. He held the position for 11 years (1933–1944) in the administration of President Franklin Roosevelt and during much of World War II. Hull received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 for his role in establishing the United Nations, and was referred to by President Roosevelt as the "Father of the United Nations".   He told his family he saw four large glass-like jars holding four creatures and a wrecked round craft of some kind being kept in a subbasement in the US Capitol building in 1939. He described the creatures as less than four feet tall and the object as being silvery metallic in nature. The object appeared to have been taken apart in pieces. The color of the material was of a color that he had never seen before, but for the lack of a better word he used “silver”.   It seems to indicate that the US Government had already recovered crashed “aliens” before 1947. There are other reports from other countries such as Italy indicating that such recoveries had been made in the 1930’s and early 40’s.

Aliens May Live on Space Ships

The late Sam Sherman the president of Independent International Pictures writes, "Where do Aliens come from? When interviewed for my still-unreleased film- "Beyond This Earth".

Astronaut Col. Gordon Cooper spoke about one reported instance where: "Aliens were living on their ships, as they had lost their sun in their own solar system". A possible hypothesis may be that some ET groups live on large ships or space platforms, as has been reported, not on planetary bodies, and these huge craft loop in and around our planet. Further they send out smaller scout craft for missions to Earth to obtain entertainment, food, water, and minerals. They may have traveled great distances here over decades for hundreds of years and their huge ships serve as replacement for planets. Thanks to Sam Sherman. The concept and artist's drawing is contained in Ernest Jahn's and Margaret Sachs book "Celestial Passengers UFO's and Space Travel." A space colony habitat was designed by NASA Ames Research Center to carry several hundred thousand people. The space habitat would be 16 miles long by four miles wide and have its own atmosphere and clouds. Only 2% of the materials would come from Earth, the remaining 98% would come from the moon. Not only does the moon yield an abundant supply of substances such as aluminum, concrete, soil, oxygen, and water, but lifting the materials off the moon will require twentieth of the energy needed to lift them off Earth, because the Moon has a much weaker gravitational pull. We have to remember that Earth also is a spaceship. On Earth there are dangers in the form of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, and tornadoes. If aliens were living not too far from Earth in space they may have a short ride to visit us. The dark eyes often described by abductees may be permanent eyeglasses to protect sensitive eyes from the glare of our powerful sun or the bright light created by their propulsion systems.

It happens there are five places in space (L-1 thru L-5) known as Lagrangian Libration Points where a space ship can stay with little if any energy needed. L-4 and L-5 are particularly well balanced where the gravitational and centrifugal forces of the Earth and Moon cancel each other out. Any object within one of these roughly spherical areas would remain orbiting around the Earth just as our Moon does. This is roughly a 60 degree angle in front and behind the moon essentially along its orbital path. Astronomers may wish to examine that portion of the sky to see if any small moonlets or space ships are orbiting our Earth.  

Texas Humanoid

Lucas – Humanoid ResearcherAlbert Rosales writes, 19-year old Dallas Adams was pumping gas into his car at a local convenience store in early July 2010. A man and his son stood at the pump opposite Adams, a woman at her car was behind him. When the gas nozzle clicked, Adams placed it back into the pump and went inside the store. Things were different when he came out. “There was no line in the gas station,” Adams said “I bought cigarettes and walked out but when I came out my car was the only one there. I had only been in the gas station for maybe two and a half minutes. As soon as I noticed everyone was gone I felt scared but couldn’t figure out why.”

Then he saw a strange man standing by his car. As Adams walked by him, he noticed an odor as if the man had not showered in weeks. “He looked like an average guy but when I looked at him I felt scared, like my life was about to end,” Adams said. “I went to my car and looked at him---he was staring at me.” The possible alien who looked like this photo came closer to Adams as he stood at the driver’s side door, walking in long steps. “I need a ride,” the humanoid said, the force in his voice striking Adams like something physical. “It scared me to death,” Adams said, “I said, ‘what?’ And he said, ‘give me a ride.’ Then Adams saw what frightened him. “His eyes were completely black. No whites, no nothing, just black,” Adams said, “When I was talking to this thing I could smell its breath, which was horrible.” Adams worked up the courage to ask where the black-eyed man wanted to go. The man simply replied, “Just give me a ride.” I said, “I am sorry, I can’t, and then he took a few steps toward me,” Adams said, “His walk was kind of odd, but stopped as this conversation was happening.” But what terrified Adams were the man’s eyes. “I couldn’t take my eyes off of his,” Adams said. “It was like they were sucking me in.” As Adams stood, watching the strange man with the black eyes approach him, something broke whatever held Adam’s gaze and he hopped into his car and sped away. Angles and Demons Spiritual Natural Selection Chapter Two

Paranormal researcher Joshua P. Warren writes, “If we strip away all the noise, and look at life from the most objective and clinical point of view, all living things consume energy.” Each breath of air you take, or sip of liquid, each gulp of food; every time you push a gas pedal or turn a switch on, you are consuming energy. Therefore, we shall use this as a guideline for how all living things could, or can, exist.

Since angels and demons are living things. We know that natural selection exists. We can watch it happening every day. The reason we must constantly update vaccines is that harmful germs continue to strengthen. The few strong ones that are able to fend off a vaccine survive to pass along their strong genes, eventually creating a stronger generation of germs. The new vaccines must be formed to combat their evolution. This same on-going struggle is seen between insects that devour crops, and the insecticides used to keep them at bay. And the process works even more simply with obvious traits. There are few dark-colored creatures in snowy regions because they stand out more against the background, making themselves easily-targeted prey for predators. Therefore, their genes do not get passed along. In the world of rational thinkers, natural selection is an obvious fact of life. However, it seems logical that this basic system would also function throughout all forms of life, including those that are primarily non-physical to us. And so, spiritual natural selection must exist, as well. Thus, where do humans fall in the lineup? If we look at humans as spiritual beings, in addition to their mere physical shells, we gain a clearer idea of how the spirit has evolved, and will continue to do so. For clues on how this evolution transpired, let us look back at the physical world of organisms.

Animals are desperate to survive, and so they thoughtlessly consume. This is why a lion might eat every gazelle on his plain with delight, only to find there are eventually no more left to reproduce and maintain his food supply. At that point, the lion may starve. Similarly, a dog might wolf down a chunk of meat in an alleyway, only to be poisoned and die. This approach to survival is limited in sight, providing the sense of immediate fulfillment, but at the risk of long-term survival. This is an unenlightened way of consuming. On the other hand, humans have learned to tend to their food supply. We try to protect the populations we eat, ensuring that cattle and fish reproduce to maintain what is needed. We try to limit how much we take from a land to retain its ability to grow more crops. And we work together, through advanced communication and complex societies striving to ensure that food is prepared and served in a safe and healthy fashion. This is why humans have generally and consistently lived longer, healthier lives as the ages have progressed. So let us apply these two models to spiritual evolution. A less-evolved spiritual creature would be one that consumes selfishly and stupidly. A more-evolved spiritual creature would be one that has understood a valuable lesson about how the universe works: the more you give, the more you receive. Sun Erupts with 3rd Huge Solar Flare in 2 Days

The sun is hitting its stride. Earth's closest star shot off yet another powerful solar flare today (June 11) after producing a pair of major solar storms Tuesday. The X1-class flare reached its peak at 5:06 a.m. EDT (0906 GMT) and came from Region 2087 near the southeastern limb of the sun's disk, the same region of the star that produced the two powerful solar flares yesterday. NASA captured an amazing video of the X1 solar flare using its space-based Solar Dynamics Observatory. Wednesday’s solar tempest did cause a brief radio blackout on Earth, but officials with the U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center based in Boulder, Colorado. These three flares bring the total number of documented X-flares unleashed by the sun in 2014 to eight. Sightings in the United States

Arizona Disc

Phoenix -- Having become bored with the Crab Eyes photos I've been capturing in the sky, I recently decided to lower my aim and start focusing a little closer to the horizon. I discovered that when I can catch a UFO just above some roof tops it tends to make the photo a bit more exciting. When taking photos I've been basically just shooting blind and download my pictures and examine my catch to reveal these UFOs. I should also mention that on June 2, 2014, a Crab Eyes UFO eased up on me at a very low altitude, at around 12:30 PM. While having my last smoke, a narrow rectangular cloud came sliding along from the southwest and then stopped just short of being directly overhead. This rectangular band was the only cloud this low and moving this deliberately. The cloud was more dense at the outer edges, and thin in the middle, making me suspect it was a Crab Eyes concealing itself. After finishing my cigarette I waved at them, and then lifted my cup of coffee upwards as a gesture of salute. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Alabama Triangle

Ranburns -- An Alabama witness driving east on I-20 nearing exit 205 reported stopping her vehicle at 2 AM to watch a silent triangle-shaped UFO “as large as a football field.”It was moving slowly at the tree top level that terrified her and caused missing time on January 20, 2014. She noticed an 18-wheeler stop about a mile behind her. “I topped the hill and far in the distance on my right side I saw the most extreme, bright, white lights lighting up the entire side of the road and pasture,” the witness stated. “I was very confused as to what I was looking at. I began to slow my speed as I approached closer and then I noticed the lights that were shinning straight through the tree line onto the interstate had not only risen to above the tree line, but had also turned from pointing toward the road to pointing toward the ground.” The witness then completely stopped her car as an 18-wheeler also stopped about a mile behind her opened his cab door. The lights were at the tree top level with lights pointing toward the ground apparently searching for something. “The lights were attached to a very large, triangle-shaped object that had rounded edges where the point of a triangle would be. There was no sound and its lights suddenly shut off. “The triangle flew over me at tree top level heading northwest.” It was a hundred yards long, bigger than a football field and 50 to 60 feet thick. Los Angeles -- Jeremy H writes – “Thank you so much for your unceasing tenacity in the arena of UFO research. Indiana Lights

Aranghata – Seven lights hovering in formation on focus looks like light glowing from human like shapes. I was at a nearby shop, few people were gazing at that light hovering west in the sky and asked me what it is, it looked like a blue light spot hovering in the sky, for a clear view.   I ran and brought my point and shoot and clicked a few pictures on full zoom, on focus it looked like 7 or 8 spots of light, on a better focus it appeared like light glowing from cylindrical shapes, the thing was frequently changing elevation and hovering and moving in all directions and at times was stationary. Pittsfield -- It was Easter Sunday, May 20, 2014, we were outside for a walk when my grandson pointed at the cylinder in the sky. He was excited, and we were puzzled as to what it was, it didn't make any noise and didn't really move it was just sort of hanging there in the sky.  We were excited to see something so different so took a picture of it were thinking maybe it was a satellite? We told our friends and family and then kind of forgot about it, we were waiting for it to do something but it just moved away, we watched it until we couldn't see it any more. Nevada Orb and Disc

Las Vegas - We were on Fremont Street watching a concert looked up saw an object moving in the sky followed it till it disappeared behind building on June 6, 2014..

I was surprised because it did not look like an airplane or helicopter and I was able to get a short video of it. The object looked white and had an oval shape bit I heard no sound due to music playing. Thanks to MUFON CMS 

LasVegas -- I went outside for my cigarette before work and looked up to the sky and saw this object on May 8, 2014. I want to know what it was. It made no noise, and flashed randomly with light reflecting off it. It moved very quickly and straight down almost. As I was watching it I felt a bit uneasy so I just stopped recording and went back inside. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Lights

Newark – I was in my backyard barbecuing with my family having a good time and I looked up and happened to see a shiny sphere with a dome (UFO) with yellow lights. At first glance I thought it was a UFO due to it being so shiny and spinning. I always bring my camera and took four pictures and previewed the pictures. It was a sphere with a dome. I tried to take a video but it was gone after 90 seconds. I still cannot believe I have this picture on my camera. My neighbor’s jaw dropped and said wow you caught a real one with a dome. It’s a great feeling to see a UFO that is out of this world. 

West Trenton – Iwas driving home from dinner on June 3, 2014, at 8:15 pm, when I turned onto my road, and noticed an incredible fog rolling into the 300+ acre field across the street from my house. I pulled my car over and took several pictures of the fog rolling in and posted seven fog pictures to Facebook. Later in the evening, I looked at the pictures and noticed three objects in a triangle formation. I downloaded the picture into my Mac Book Air and they appear round and metallic with a disturbance around each object. I did NOT see or hear the objects. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New York Lights

North Creek – In the early morning of June 4th 2014, looking out I saw from three bright lights moving in the distance coming across the mountain. I grabbed my cell phone, and captured two lights the size of basketballs. They kept getting larger as they approached and I was able to get five seconds of video when the camera stopped. I reset the phone to pictures and captured two orbs. I sat there unbelieving for about 10 minutes as the first orb began to move closer. Suddenly another comet-like object streaked in near the first orb and both passed out of view around the edge of the house. My attention was then focused on the two other orbs, slowly moving down across the mountain, through the trees about 75 yards away. The one on the left descended out of sight and the one on the right descended through the trees. This caused it to appear to be blinking as I finally lost sight of it. I went in the house and poured a drink and sent a facebook message to my daughters at 2:21 am. Strangely the time stamp on the video is 08/19/2013 at 08:33 pm. All my other recording times are accurate. I was stunned by this. Thanks to MUFON CMS

North Carolina Triangles

Winston-Salem – “I traveled from Charlotte for a job interview as I approached Lake Norman on I-77 in my Cadillac in January 1998, under a clear blue sky. I noticed three dark objects approaching fascinated at their shapes between watching the road and the objects. Traffic was light and I slowed down so I could be under them when they crossed I-77. I leaned my head out the driver's window to look straight up at huge silent hovering triangles. They were longer in the direction they were moving by about 1 to 3 to their back widths. They crossed over almost directly over head but there was NO detail anywhere on the objects flying in formation. I glanced back at the road and they were gone in half a-second.

Charlotte -- I was on my way to the store with a group of friends on the night of June 6, 2014, we saw others looking into the sky east of Charlotte. At first glance they looked like stars but were moving and pulsating with a beautiful white glow. They were also flicking in sync and flying in a flock like formation. The lights were blinking off and on, but the photo only captures two at a time. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Ohio Disc

Stoutsville -- My sister and I were driving about a mile from home about 10 pm, on May 19, 2014, when she spotted a flying object. At first I didn't believe her and kept driving but when we got super close to it, I stopped the car and shut the lights off. The object was shaped like a typical saucer with rotating lights on the outer rim. It stayed in that spot for over a minute then the light went off and we couldn't see it again. We raced home scared. We tried to take pictures, but when we got home to show our dad they were no longer on our phone. We were standing outside when my boyfriend pointed out to the field across the street and there was the thing again the same as before. It rotated around with lights on, and then the lights disappeared and we couldn't see it again. About 15 minutes later, we all saw this orb-looking thing shoot through the field super-fast. My boyfriend and dad went walking over to the field to see if they could see anything and the orb went back to the left side of the field then straight up. After that we didn't see anything again. South Dakota Object near Plane

Rapid City -- My husband and I were in the garage on June 5, 2014, when we heard the sound of jets directly over the cabin and so I wanted to take photos for my brother-in-law (who owns the cabin) due to his interest in military machines. I took some photos with my Samsung Galaxy S5 and has a feature which ticks me off where it can takes pictures in rapid succession. This happened yesterday. I would have been happy with a couple of pictures of the fighter jets. They were flying fast and low maybe two hundred feet off the ground. Their altitude remained low even with the object going at them. I took a series of 11 photos. I believe the fighter jets were headed to Ellsworth Air Force Base. It was not until I looked at the photos in the evening that I had captured something that was not an aircraft flying near the jets. Washington Sphere

Spokane Valley -- A large white almost translucent looking spherical object with lights around its middle was seen over Spokane, at 8 pm, on June 1, 2014. I noticed a large star in our western sky and realized that it was too early for stars to be visible, and there were none others visible. My friends asked how long it had been there and I replied about ten minutes, she said go get your telescope which I did. The object was spherical with lights around its middle very clearly visible. It changed many times its attitude, as it seemed to tip and its lights were close to vertical, then it would right itself and the lights that were around it were again horizontal. This was witnessed by me and five other adults that were nearby, all agreed that what we were witnessing matched the description given above. It was visible for nearly 30-40 minutes. Worldwide UFO Reports

Australia Sightings

Brisbane, Queensland -- It was early in the morning at about 4-5 AM, onMay 25th 2014, so I was in a reclined position leaning against my chair and I see everything outside. This was about 5-8 minutes before the sun lit up the sky; so you could still make out the stars very clearly. I looked up at that very moment to see a dark grey/black elongated oval like object suspended in the sky. Its size was something like one of those Hindenburg Dirigibles and was the same distance you'd see a helicopter flying, but larger. There were two or three lights fixed on the pointed sides of the oval like object. It was hovering silently shooting a red star up to look like any other star, except it was red. After that, the object started to move about the speed of a typical commercial airplane until it eventually passed over the roof and out of my sight.   Burwood, Victoria – Three witnesses saw a fast moving green orb heading NNW at high speed on May 25th 2014, at 6.20 PM, in a straight line and disappeared behind buildings. Croydon, Melbourne, Victoria – On May 25th 2014, at 7:00 PM, driving up Plymouth Road from Maroondah Highway. In Croydon Hills we saw a large green round circle object flying across sky above the fog towards Kinglake. Townsville, Queensland -- I was sitting watching TV, when a very bright blue fireball seemed to light up the sky on May 25th 2014 at 11:45 PM. The sighting was only for a few seconds. We have high trees that partially blocked the view and as the ball seemingly fell in an arc and went behind the trees. The glow was as bright as high powered stadium lights. Belgium Lights

Brussels – I travelled to Brussels to visit a friend who was my tourist guide on January 30, 2014. Our tour ended up in the main city square called "Grand Place". It is such a beautiful square with well lighted historic buildings. I have always loved astronomy and could identify different constellations and stars in the clear sky that I well know. My friend took her pictures with her new Smartphone and I took my photos with my Canon camera. Curiously, the UFO lights only appeared on the pictures taken by my friend. She also decided to take the pictures using the automatic shooting mode. This way, the mobile's camera takes 3 pictures automatically in less than 5 seconds. We noticed the UFO lights once we returned to our corresponding homes. I have counted around 10-12 lights in total that were visible in the cameras. Thanks to MUFON CMS  

Canada Triangle Fast moving Objects

Oakville, Ontario -- Every night my co-worker and I eat lunch together outside. Being an amateur astronomer I always scan the sky as I did on June 4, 2014, and quickly noticed almost straight up a light moving at about three times the speed of a passenger plane at cruising altitude. The object had three points of light and was possibly a triangle. It was too high to see any details other than the lights but it was moving fast. Richmond, Ontario -- Taking pictures of the bright clouds on June 8, 2014 and I said to my boyfriend, “Do you sometimes see things up there in your photos?” and he says, “Yes you do.” I looked at my photos when I sat down. I said, “They look wow, there it is, my boy friend couldn't believe me either. So he tried it but it didn't work. Italy Object

Rimini – A black cubic like object at first hovered and then ascended straight up until it became invisible flying right into space on May 31, 2014. I have been an amateur astronomer for almost 40 years. We have witnessed many things up in the air during daytime like balloons. When we first saw this object it was bigger and completely black and appeared cubic shaped. It was silent during the event that lasted about 6 minutes. After three minutes I took two pictures of the phenomena with a 60 mm lens. The pictures show the object was definitely moving straight up. There were four Italians, and both of us are Belgian. Being a scientist I feel the need to report this.   Our eyes could be playing tricks on us. Maybe other reports can also confirm this sighting and that's why I post it. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Nicaragua Mushroom

Granada -- I was recently flipping through some pictures I took of my trip in 2011 and two pictures contained strange objects in the sky. If you zoom in with Windows Photo Viewer, you can see these objects take better shape. I didn't even notice these objects until now. I know the date by checking my passport. I don't believe these objects to be anything on the lens because I took numerous pictures and all the others are clear without anything else in the sky with the exception of black birds. I am curious to get some insight as to what these objects may be. I don't buy that they are balloons or weather phenomenon but rather some sort of craft. I used a Sony point and shoot camera with I believe 10-12 megapixel capability without any editing. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Romanian Military Airport

At the Mihai Kogalniceanu military airport, north of Constanta, several supersonic MIG-29 fighter aircraft pilots of the Aviation Group 57 had witnessed an unidentified aerospace phenomenon. The event took place in the second half of March 1989, between the hours of 3 and 9 PM, the unit, consisting then of 18-20 pilots, executed a shooting exercise with a day and night flights. “It was announced that the training flights were halted and the pilots were stripped of their equipment.”

The sky was clear Colonel (ret.) Aurelian Dobre remembers I was talking with some fellow pilots and saw many tube lights and told the other pilots to come outside including Colonel (ret.) Paul Otelea, commander of the MIG -23s. We all went to see a triangular train of silver white cylinders that moved north at an angle of 25 degrees and about 7,000 meters high. As they passed over he heard “a noise that resembled with the rustle of a flock of birds in flight, as the lights faded out towards Ukraine.” Colonel (ret.) Dan Aioanei, who at the time was commander of MIG-29 unit stated, "From Medgidia, a formation of 8 or 9 flowing objects were approaching. They looked like neon tubing, several kilometers long each, and were thus positioned relative to one another that form a "V"formation. From the distance, the tubes seem to have a diameter of 15-20 cm, so in reality they have 2-3 meters. Travel speed must have been at least supersonic. They were flying very high, at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. The formation left no light trail. The "tubes" disappeared east of Tulcea. UK/England Disc

London -- My son was walking home from school on June 2nd 2014, in the vicinity of Eascote in North West London and noticed a disc shaped object hovering just below cloud level. It was up to half a mile from him at 4:17 pm. It was a grey disc hovering above. He could see the underbelly of the object and the rim of the object for some 10 to 15 seconds. He later pointed out to me that it must have been a fairly large object as he estimated it to be at least half a mile away. He took a photograph of the object with his smart phone camera and the craft then started to change its colour by blotching different areas of its undercarriage to match the cloud around it. He observed this change of colour for up to seven seconds before the craft completely disappeared from view. At no time during this transformation did the craft move position and neither did it make a sound that he could detect. My son said that he had the distinct impression that the craft was still there but had somehow cleverly masked itself to the naked eye. He became scared, rang his mother to tell her about the disc and ran home. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Truck Crash Kills

New Jersey State Police] says the driver of the tractor-trailer failed to observe slow-moving traffic ahead on June 7, at 1 AM.,” Williams said. “At the last minute, he swerved and braked to try avoid the Mercedes limo bus but struck it from behind, forcing the limo to rotate and overturn.”   Tracey Morgan (shown) of Saturday Night Live was flown by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he was taken to the intensive care unit. Six others were also rushed to the hospital and limo passenger, 63-year-old James McNair of Peekskill, New York, was killed

The truck could not slow down quick enough to avoid the accident.   While Tracy remains in critical condition, and sustained a number of injuries including a broken leg, a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. He had surgery earlier today on his leg. We expect him to remain in the hospital for several weeks. The Walmart truck driver was charged Saturday evening with death by auto has pleaded not guilty after he caused an accident that killed one person and injured six, including actor Tracy Morgan.   The New York Times identified the driver as Kevin Roper, 35, who has been charged with death by auto charges. Roper was driving a Walmart truck when it was unable to down quickly enough to avoid hitting the limo. The truck driver claims the news reports were wrong and he has pleaded not guilty in an initial court appearance.   Better truck braking may have avoided the crash. Engage warp drive! Nasa reveals latest designs for a Star Trek-style spacecraft that could make interstellar travel a reality

Last month, Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan unveiled his next science-fiction blockbuster.

Called Interstellar, it envisages a future where travel to other stars is not only a possibility but a necessity, and tasks actor Matthew McConaughey with leading the main mission.

But a Nasa scientist claims such a mission isn’t necessarily just something reserved for science fiction - and has revealed a Star Trek-style ship that could make interstellar travel a reality.

Pictured is an illustration of Dr White's IXS Enterprise, an interstellar ship drawn by artist Mark Rademaker that could be an accurate representation of what the first mission beyond the solar system will look like. The IXS Enterprise is a theory-fitting concept for a faster than light (FTL) ship

Dr Harold White is famous for suggesting that faster than light (FTL) travel is possible.

THE 100-YEAR STARSHIP PROJECT

The 100-year Starship Project is a joint endeavour run by Darpa, Nasa,  Icarus Interstellar and the Foundation for Enterprise Development.

Announced in January 2012, the project has an overall goal of achieving manned interstellar travel by 2112.

To do so it is evaluating a number of different techonolgies, including  ‘warping’ space time to travel great distances in short time frames at  faster-than-light speeds.

The project is also considering building ‘generation ships’ that move slowly but have a self-sustainable long-term population.

To date Nasa has contributed $100,000 (£60,000) to the project and Darpa $1 million (£600,000).

Using something known as an Alcubierre drive, named after a Mexican theoretical physicist of the same name, Dr White said it is possible to ‘bend’ space-time, and cover large distances almost instantly.

This, in essence, would allow a spaceship to travel almost anywhere in a tiny fraction of the time it would take a conventional spacecraft.

The ship in Nolan’s Interstellar movie, as well as those in Star Trek, employ a warp engine.

And, in a series of new renders, Dr White reveals how a real spacecraft dubbed the IXS Enterprise could do the same thing.

The images are based on the artist who created the original look for the famous USS Enterprise ship from Star Trek - Matthew Jeffries.

To make the latest renders Dr White employed the help of artist Mark Rademaker and graphic designer Mike Okuda.

The ship has a number of features that make interstellar travel possible. This includes the two rings surrounding the central spacecraft - these are known as an Alcubierre drive and are used to 'warp' space-time and travel many light years in a matter of days

The engine for Dr White's ISX Enterprise is based on something known as the Alcubierre drive. As shown in the illustration above this stretches space-time in a wave that causes the fabric of space-time ahead to contract while expanding the space behind, theoretically allowing 'faster than light' travel

Although the speed of light is seen as an absolute, Dr White was inspired by Miguel Alcubierre, who postulated a theory that allowed for faster than light travel but without contradicting Einstein.

Alcubierre's theory was published in 1994 and involved enormous amounts of energy being used to expand and contract space itself - thereby generating a 'warp bubble' in which a spacecraft would travel.

Allowing space and time to act as the propellant by pulling the craft through the bubble would be like stepping on an escalator

Despite Dr Alcubierre stating his theory was simply conjecture, Dr White thinks he and his team are edging towards making the realm of warp speed attainable.

This illustration shows Dr White's design in its entirety. Struts around the spacecraft show how it would be directly attached to the rings. At the front is the 'bridge' where the crew would conduct operations on the spacecraft. Towards the back is the cargo area where so-called exotic matter for fuel would be store.

as measured by clocks on Earth

The process of going to warp is also one that is smooth, rather than using a massive amount of acceleration in a short amount of time.

'When you turn the field on, everybody doesn't go slamming against the bulkhead, which would be a very short and sad trip,' Dr White said.

However, Dr White admits his research is still small-scale and is light years away from any type of engine that could be constructed into a spaceship like the USS Enterprise.

In Christopher Nolan's upcoming film Interstellar, due for release in November, a team of astronauts undertake a mission beyond the stars to save humanity. To get there they use an Alcubierre drive, shown above in a clip from the film - the same engine envisaged by Dr White of Nasa for his Star Trek-style spacecraft

The ship at the centre of Dr White's IXS Enterprise would need to be small enough to fit inside the rings and it would need to not stick out too much. This is because when the rings are activated they will create a 'warp bubble', and anything outside of this will be cut off when the jump is made, according to Dr White

Look familiar? Dr White's design for the IXS Enterprise bears a striking similarity to the USS Enterprise as seen in various Star Trek TV shows such as Star Trek: The Next Generation, seen here. In the show this science vessel was used to 'explore strange new worlds' and 'seek out new life and new civilisation'

To make the dream a reality Dr White has laid out a road map with important milestones that will need to be met along the way to achieving true interstellar travel.

This begins with tests on Earth to prove the technology is possible.

These initial experiments are very crude and very basic - but, if proved, there is, in theory, no limit to how it can be applied.

The next step will be to use the warp technology on a spacecraft and complete a short trip to the moon, followed by a trip to Mars.

This would ultimately test the technologies that would be necessary to complete ‘jumps’ beyond the solar system and reach destinations in a matter of months, weeks or even days.

Illustrated here is a previous design from Dr White and Rademaker. This concept had a number of flaws. First, the rings were too thin, meaning they would have needed too much energy for warp travell. Second, part of the ship extends out of the rings, which would have been cut off when the 'warp bubble' was created.

The main limitation is energy - previously it was thought mass equivalent to a planet would be necessary to provide the energy required for a warp jump.

But revised suggestions suggest mass similar in size to a car might be more realistic.

The research has done enough to pique the interest of Nasa and other agencies.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa), for instance, is currently carrying out the 100-year-starship project with a view to sending humans outside the solar system at the turn of the next century.

Busy Los Angeles, although little realizing it in the hustle and bustle of modern existence, stands above a lost city of catacombs filled with incalculable treasure and imperishable records of a race of humans further advanced intellectually than the highest type of present day peoples, in the belief of G. Warren Shufelt, geophysicist mining engineer now engaged in an attempt to wrest from the lost city deep in the earth below Fort Moore Hill the secrets of the Lizard People of legendary fame in the medicine lodges of the American Indian.

So firmly does Shufelt and a little staff of assistants believe that a maze of catacombs and priceless golden tablets are to be found beneath downtown Los Angeles that the engineer and his aids have already driven a shaft 250 feet into the ground, the mouth of the shaft being on the old Banning property on North Hill street, overlooking Sunset Boulevard, Spring street and North Broadway.

And so convinced is the engineer of the infallibility of a radio x-ray perfected by him for detecting the presence of minerals and tunnels below the surface of the ground, an apparatus with which he says he has traced a pattern of catacombs and vaults forming the lost city, that he plans to continue sending his shaft downward until he has reached a depth of 1000 feet before discontinuing operations.

Shufelt learned of the legend of the Lizard People after his radio X-Ray had led him hither and yon, over an area extending from the Public Library on West Fifth street to the Southwest Museum, on MuseumDrive, at the foot of Mt. Washington.

"I knew I was over a pattern of tunnels," the engineer explained yesterday, "and I had mapped out the course of the tunnels, the position of large rooms scattered along the tunnel route, as well as the position of deposits of gold, but I couldn't understand the meaning of it."

The Lizard People, the legends has it, regard the lizard as a symbol of long life.

"My radio X-ray pictures of the tunnels and rooms, which are subsurface voids, and of gold pictures with perfect corners, sides and ends, are scientific proof of their existence," Shufelt said.

 

"However, the legendary story must remain speculative unearthed by excavation."

NEAR COLISION WITH AN ALIEN CRAFT OVER PERTH AUSTRALIA

There seems to be a recent increase in UFO sightings around the world, and one interesting one from Down Under. The Australian Transportation Safety Board has the following report.  Near collision between an unknown object and De Havilland DHC-8, VH-XFX, Perth Airport, Western Australia on 19 March 2014. Investigation number: AO-2014-052.  On 19 March 2014, at about 0913 Western Standard Time (WST), a De Havilland DHC-8, registered VH-XFX, was on approach to Perth Airport from Kambalda, Western Australia. When about 23 km north-northeast of Perth, at about 3,800 ft. above mean sea level (AMSL), the crew sighted a bright strobe light directly in front of the aircraft.  The light appeared to track towards the aircraft and the crew realized that the light was on an unknown object, possibly an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The pilot took evasive action turning towards the west to avoid a collision with the object. The object passed about 20 m horizontally and 100 ft. vertically from the aircraft.  The pilot reported that the object was cylindrical in shape and grey in colour. It was at about 3,700 ft. AMSL and in controlled airspace. The crew did not receive a traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) alert. The airspace below 3,500 ft. AMSL was military restricted airspace.  The ATSB was advised that the Australian Defence Force was not operating UAVs and was not aware of any UAV operations in the area at the time of the incident. The ATSB was not able to confirm the details of the object or identify any UAV operator in the area at that time.  UAVs are increasingly available to recreational operators and their operation outside of the regulations may pose a significant risk to aviation safety.  For anyone going to cry cover-up, it is not the responsibility of the ATSB to investigate UFOs, only air travel safety and identification of existing and potential threats to safety.  “The ATSB was not able to confirm the details of the object or identify any UAV operator in the area at that time.”  But that does not rule out the possibility of a privately owned unmanned drone either. I am glad to announce that I am in discussion with the leadership of MUFON about the Billy Meier UFO case. I have informed them that there are at least three more highly credible professionals in the fields of science and technology, who are now endorsing the authenticity of the Meier case and its evidence. These people wish to stay in the background for now but may be willing to participate in a public presentation with MUFON regarding the authenticity of the case.

SInce my contacts at MUFON have assured me that there is no willful complicity at this time with any parties to hide or suppress the Meier case, they also agree that this is indeed the most propitious time to make a definitive assessment and publicly express their position. I have asked that should MUFON disagree that the case is authentic, they present credible evidence that supports an opposing position and substantiates any claims against the authenticity of Meier’s evidence.

I should also make it clear that it is not necessary for any of the parties to agree with, or promote, the Meier case and its information, only that the matter of its authenticity be settled for the expressed purpose of…letting the public determine the truth, validity and value of the information, prophecies, predictions, spiritual teaching, etc., for themselves.

Former Coast Guard sailor reveals encounter with ‘humanoid creature’

A former U.S. Coast Guard sailor recalls an incident with a “transparent, oval-shaped craft” that moved within 200 yards of his vessel that revealed a “humanoid pilot” before quickly disappearing, according to June 13, 2014, testimony in Case 57018 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The incident occurred in late 1978 or early 1979 near Cuba on a “law enforcement Coast Guard cutter” while the witness was standing near the fantail with another sailor when the object was first seen.

“I witnessed a transparent, oval-shaped craft that cut across the back of the ship maybe 100 to 200 yards away,” the witness stated.
The witness got a good look at the craft.

“I could clearly see a frame inside the craft and the humanoid pilot as he abruptly turned to look at us.”
But the sighting was quick.

“As it glided from off to the backside to the back of the ship, in the blink of an eye it vanished. Many years later I found something online that looked exactly like the creature I witnessed.”

A newly declassified report discusses a US bomber that broke in half while flying over the state in January of that year, causing the two nuclear bombs it was carrying to plummet to the ground near Goldsboro—and reveals that those bombs came much closer to detonation than was previously known. A parachute opened for one of the bombs, which landed intact; the safing pins that conducted power from a generator had been pulled, preventing a blast. Still, it completed five of the six steps to detonation, Fox News reports. Had two cockpit wires touched as the plane disintegrated, it could have exploded. As for the second bomb, it landed in a freefall, which caused the switch to flip to the “armed” position, RT reports.

What kept it from going off? “The shock also damaged the switch contacts, which had to be intact for the weapon to detonate,” the National Security Archive’s Bill Burr explains. The incident was first mentioned in a book by Eric Schlosser last year, but the report confirms just how close the US came to devastation. As CNN points out, the MK39 bombs had an explosive yield of 3.8 megatons; the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were 0.01 and 0.02 megatons, respectively. “There would have been a 100% kill zone for 8.5 miles in every direction,” said the Air Force weapons specialist tasked with disarming the bombs. “By the slightest margin of chance, literally the failure of two wires to cross, a nuclear explosion was averted,” Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara said at the time. – Newser

NASA Designs ‘Warp Speed’ Spacecraft

The impressive designs are based on Harold White’s real-life work developing a genuine warp drive.

White, who is head of NASA’s Advanced Propulsion Team, has been attempting to go where no physicist has gone before by designing a warp drive that will enable spacecraft to travel faster than the speed of light.

These new conceptual drawings based on his work were created by artist Mark Rademaker who took over 1,600 hours to make them. The impressive warp speed spaceship certainly looks the part and wouldn’t seem out of place in an episode of Star Trek.

“There’s no speed limit on the expansion and contraction of space,” said White whose warp drive concept involves bending space both in front and behind the vehicle to propel it forwards.

“You can actually find a way to get around what I like to call the 11th commandment: Thou shall not exceed the speed of light.” Read more at CNN

What Did I See?

My wife and I were asleep and I heard tapping on the window that woke me up. I just rolled over and I mumbled “ignore it babe” vaguely in my sleep. It was very annoying because I had the next day off so I was actually planning to have a lay in — my one day off and I get woken up in the middle of the night. Rolling over and checking my phone time it says 2:34AM. I sense that I needed to use the bathroom and make my way out of bed. While opening the bedroom door I can see small red lights that appeared in our hallway and by now I’m fully awake. The lights were only there for a few seconds but were very bright and I shrugged it off as car lights. I know I wasn’t thinking right and a part of me knew that it wasn’t, but I honestly just wanted to do my business and then go back to bed.

Halfway down the hall I get to our toilet and fling on the light. I do my business and wash my hands. While wiping my hands onto our towel I quickly see something run past the door. I mean fucking run! We have no dogs because im allergic and we don’t have any kids yet.

Immediately my back is up and I slowly creep out of the hallway and fling on the lights. (so many horror films i’ve seen just walk out in the dark to investigate like wtf?) I make my way slowly to the bedroom and I double lock the bedroom door.

I figured that it was just some animal that somehow found their way into our house and me turning on the lights scared it away. I’d also like to see an animal undo a double locked door. I thought that i’d deal with whatever aftermath tomorrow morning.

I must have fallen asleep because I awoke to the light just creeping in from the curtains. Turning over to cuddle my wife I can see shes already awake and staring up at me. Her eyes straight away go from looking at me to the middle of the room.

In the corner of the room I saw the light creeping over to what looked like a small child, but it was shaped differently. It was hairless, had a massive head and it’s arms appeared to be longer than its legs. I imagined when it walked its arms must have dragged behind him or whatever. It was very very very skinny and it was crouched over on its knees just looking at the floor.

My eyes adjusted to what i’m actually seeing and the fear and the dread washed over me. I grabbed my revolver that I leave on the bed stand in one quick move and shakily pointed it at this being. My wife quickly turned on the bed stand light. It started to lift its head up to me and had the biggest..blackest eyes i’ve ever seen. It only had a slit for a mouth and it didn’t have any ears at all. Its still got its hands over its knees but now staring straight at me and for a second I was transfixed to staring into those eyes. I honestly felt that it was scanning me or searching me with them.

It got up and it must have been around the height to come to my hip. It’s still staring at me and I swear to you there was a very bright flash and the thing was gone. I don’t know where it went, how it managed to get through 2 double locked doors. Where was the light? What even was the light? Where did the thing go?!

I can’t explain it but after the light there wasn’t anything but my wife and i. I searched the dresser incase it may have jumped in there but nothing. I quickly grabbed my wife and we frantically went over to the neighbors house. Banging on the door my neighbor (that i’ve only met twice) came to the door saying “do you know what time it is?! oh shit. come inside”

He says he must have known something had happened for us to be running over there in the middle of the night. We’re now in his kitchen and i broke down in tears. I explained everything and how I failed at protecting my wife. I stressed my concern and confusion as to what this thing is or how it managed to get in and even out.

My neighbor opened the whisky bottle and said that we can stay there for the rest of the night. Him and I sat up talking while my wife curled up next to me on the sofa. She didn’t want to go anywhere without me or have her out of my sight. The next morning the three of us went back to our house and throughly searched the place. I straight away took the hallway.

We didn’t find a single trace of a break in. Everything was where it was left and nothing was out of place.

Strange Object ‘Floating’ Through Milwaukee

(Before It's News)

2010-02-02 – 6:23PM: The sighting occurred on a side street in an industrial neighborhood, a few blocks from the intersection of Capital and Palmer in Milwaukee, WI. A friend was in a meeting with a local community organization and I decided to stay in the car to make some work related phone calls. I had just finished up with the phone calls when I decided to step out of the car for a cigarette. I leaned up against the driver-side door of the car facing the South as I smoked. I noticed movement some movement to my right, and looked in that direction. An object anywhere from 4 to 5.5 feet long oriented perpendicular to the ground like so: | was floating about 15 feet off the ground. The object was moving from the West to the East at about 6 – 8 miles per hour with a very shallow guide slope, about 1 degree.

At first I thought that the object might be a kite cut loose from its string with how smoothly and quietly it was gliding along, until it passed underneath some power lines and a few feet later it ascended vertically by about 5 feet to clear the top of a building that it was headed for. It then moved parallel to the top of the building for about 300 feet until my view of the object became obstructed by another taller building to my left. The object was an imperfect cylindrical shape with a few small protrusions here and there.

When I realized that the object was not a wayward kite, I thought about reports of flying humanoids. However, the protrusions didn’t seem to fit with what was described in those accounts – additionally there was a brief metallic flash as light from a lamp post reflected off of the object – this does not seem to fit with the description of flying humanoids either. Other than the brief metallic flash the object was entirely black. The closest the object’s path took it to me was about 120 feet and I was able to observe the object for about 2 minutes, so I had ample opportunity to try to identify the object and for the life of me I cannot think of anything that this object could have been. Even after going home and doing a Google image search for UAVs nothing I have ever seen can match up with the description of this object. My reaction to this object was initially one of pure curiosity until after I had dropped my friend off at his place, then I became extremely nervous and scared.

NOTE: This report was initially posted on the MUFON CMS a few weeks after the encounter. I received an email with a similar description a few weeks after it was reported to MUFON (email acknowledged the MUFON report). The email was supposedly sent by a friend of the witness. Though I had some doubts, I was told that the witness had been very ill since the encounter and asked their friend to make inquiries. I never received a follow-up correspondence.

The object may have been a bio-form of some type…possibly similar to the flying ray-shaped objects that I have been researching since 2008. Lon
