Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.
This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

Blik op de ruimte: Unieke foto's Mercuriusovergang
Het Amerikaanse Marswagentje Curiosity heeft begin juni foto's gemaakt van een Mercuriusovergang. Tijdens een overgang beweegt een planeet voor de zon door, gezien vanaf een bepaalde locatie.
Het is de eerste maal dat dit waargenomen werd van op het Marsoppervlak. Aangezien Mars zich heel wat verder van de zon bevindt dan de aarde, was de planeet minder dan 1 pixel groot op de opnames maar toch zichtbaar.
Overgangen voor de zon zijn in de geschiedenis steeds zeer belangrijk geweest. Zo werden Venusovergangen bijvoorbeeld gebruikt om de onderlinge afstanden in ons zonnestelsel te bepalen. Met Mercuriusovergangen probeerden geleerden de diameter van de zon te bepalen.

Omdat de tijd begint te dringen voor de ruimtesonde New Horizons, zullen sterrenkundigen de Hubble ruimtetelescoop (HST) gebruiken om op zoek te gaan naar ijsdwergen buiten de baan van Neptunus.
New Horizons zal immers volgend jaar langs Pluto vliegen. Men heeft dus dringend voorstellen voor objecten nodig die als tweede doelwit voor de sonde kunnen dienen. De HST zal eerst een testprogramma uitvoeren om na te gaan of de telescoop eigenlijk wel gebruikt kan worden om dergelijke kleine objecten op te sporen.
Als de test succesvol is, dan zal een uitgebreid zoekprogramma opgezet worden

[The following are excerpts from the newly published “Forbidden Books of Heresy: Revealing the Secrets of the Gnostic Scriptures – From UFOs to Jesus’ Love of Mary,” by Sean Casteel. The two sections provide an overview of alien contact as expressed in ancient times, using scriptures from the Gnostic book “The Acts of John” and the apocryphal “The Second Book of Enoch.”]
THE CHANGING FACE OF JESUS
There is no one face or personality for the Jesus described in the Gnostic scriptures, but instead a series of incarnations and embodiments that each serve a different purpose and lead the believer from one point of revelation to another, the various “masks” of the deity.
In part three of “The Masks of God,” entitled “Occidental Mythology,” Campbell relates an interesting story of Jesus in disguise from the Gnostic book called the Acts of John.

The Messiah has just come from his desert fast of forty days,” Campbell writes, setting the scene, “and his victory there over Satan. John and James are in their boat, fishing. Christ appears on the shore. And John is supposed to be telling, now, of the occasion.”
The scripture commences.
“For when he had chosen Peter and Andrew, who were brothers, he came to me and James, my brother, saying, ‘I have need of you, come unto me.’ And my brother, hearing that, said to me, ‘John, what does that child want who is on the shore there and called to us?’ And I said, ‘What child?’ And he said again, ‘The one beckoning to us.’ And I answered, ‘Because of the long watch we have kept at sea, you are not seeing right, my brother James. But do you not see the man who is standing there, comely, fair, and of cheerful countenance?’ But he answered, ‘Him, brother, I do not see. But let us go and we shall see what he wants.’
“And so, when we had brought our boat to land, we saw him also, helping us to settle it; and when we had left, thinking to follow him, he appeared to me to be rather bald, but with a beard thick and flowing, but to James he seemed a youth whose beard had newly come. We were therefore, both of us, perplexed as to what we had seen should mean. And as we followed him, continuing, we both were, little by little, even more perplexed as we considered the matter. For in my case, there appeared this still more wonderful thing: I would try to watch him secretly, and I never at any time saw his eyes blinking, but only open. And often he would appear to me to be a little man, uncomely, but then again as one reaching up to heaven. Moreover, there was in him another marvel: when we sat to eat he would clasp me to his breast, and sometimes the breast felt to me to be smooth and tender, but sometimes hard like stone.
“Another glory, also, would I tell to you, my brethren: namely, that sometimes when I would take hold of him, I would meet with a material and solid body, but again, at other times, when I touched him, the substance was immaterial and as if it existed not at all. And if at any time he were invited by some Pharisee and accepted the invitation, we accompanied him; and there was set before each of us a loaf by those who entertained; and with us, he too received one. But his own he would bless and apportion among us. And of that little, every one was filled, and our own loaves were saved whole, so that those who had invited him were amazed. And often, when I walked with him, I desired to see the print of his foot, whether it appeared on the earth; for I saw him, as it were, sustaining himself above the earth; and I never saw it.”
An important point to make here: the description of Jesus as “rather bald” and “a little man, uncomely,” who never blinked and left no footprints but rather seemed to float above the earth as he walked, contains many elements of our present-day descriptions of the gray aliens of abduction literature. One is reminded that the gray aliens are universally described as bald and small in stature. Whether or not they are “uncomely,” meaning “unattractive,” is a matter of personal taste. The oval gray heads with unblinking black eyes are nowadays a ubiquitous cultural icon, and the gray aliens’ ability to float just above the ground as they “walk” is a very familiar feature of abduction accounts. Abductees are often conveyed to and from the waiting ships in this same manner.
The Apostle John concludes by saying, “And these things I tell you, my brethren, for the encouragement of your faith in him; for we must, at present, keep silence concerning his mighty and wonderful works, in as much as they are unspeakable, and, it may be, cannot at all be uttered or be heard.”
Campbell explains that this ancient view of a chameleon-like Jesus holds that Christ’s body, as seen by men, was “a mere appearance, the reality being celestial or divine, and its appearance, furthermore, a function of the mentality of the seer, not of the reality of the seen; a mere mask that might change but not be removed.”
The face and body of Jesus could be anything, anywhere, anyone, according to Campbell. It is understandable that the orthodox hierarchy would reject such a view of Jesus. A carefully choreographed game of “Now you see him, now you don’t” is a hard and elusive thing to grasp even in this supposedly more enlightened age, and a Jesus with a perpetually changing face doesn’t exactly fit one’s notion of “that old-time religion,” does it? But it is an enthralling mystery, nevertheless, and one worthy of continued contemplation by those seeking a truth not often told in the mainstream churches of our time.
THE BOOKS OF ENOCH
The apocryphal Books of Enoch are a marvelous addendum to the Bible as we more commonly know it. We share in Enoch’s wondrous adventure as he travels to both heaven and hell, bearing witness to the innumerable mysteries and testifying always for the sake of the righteous as they battle, suffer and endure the wicked. The fall of the evil angels called The Watchers, who take earthly wives and breed a horrifying race of giants; the birth of Noah as a strange and supernatural child of the great unknown who utterly terrifies his father; the creation story told by God, which begins with God as a solitary figure creating the visible from the invisible, all combine to fascinate and enthrall the reader who takes up the Books of Enoch and joins the prophet on his fearsome ride through the cosmos. Space and time melt away, and the promise of an eventual paradise where there is no time becomes the goal of Enoch’s journey, and our own as well.

London is Ingress central and the city may be the battleground between the game’s two fractions, the Enlightened who believe Aliens are using portals to transcend humanity to a higher state and the Resistance who would rather they asked permission first.
Both sides have the same goal, to claim portals or take portals from the other side. Claiming enough portals and linking them together creates Control Fields, which gives your side points through Mind Units.
Although it’s probably a marketing stunt, you may wonder whether it is a sign to a future event or a warning about Google’s dominant position in the world, the crop circle/game that reveals Google’s secret war to control London.

The 2014 Roswell UFO Festival is approaching quickly. Attendees at this year’s event will notice a few changes at the city’s centerpiece, the International UFO Museum and Research Center.
The museum is currently undergoing renovations. And with the festival just a couple weeks away, there is definitely pressure to have everything completed in time. But the museum’s manager, Mark Briscoe, isn’t worried. As he recently told KOB-TV News, “The pressure is on. It’s stressful, but we’ll get it done. We always do.”
New signage has been installed in front of the UFO museum. But the new marquee has yet to arrive. Inside, the museum has added a prop from the movie Aliens. This power loader was used by Sigourney Weaver’s character, Ellen Ripley, in her fight against the queen Xenomorph alien. Another movie prop will be revealed at the UFO festival. Briscoe teases, “This is from one of the first sci-fi movies ever made.”

KOB-TV reports that the museum also plans to add touch screens to its exhibits. But visitors will have to wait until next year to see that addition. Another developing project is taking place at a nearby vacant lot where a UFO park will be constructed. But that isn’t expected to be completed until the Fall.
This year’s festival features all of the activities attendees have come to expect at this event, such as the carnival, a light parade, and the popular alien pet contest. The festival also features lectures on various UFO-related topics, which take place at the museum and at the convention center. Open Minds’ Alejandro Rojas will present two lectures this year:

In een mysterieuze piramide in de Chinese provincie Qinhai bevinden zich drie grotten vol ijzeren buizen die naar een nabijgelegen zoutwatermeer leiden. De buizen, die ook aan de oever zijn gevonden, variëren in lengte en zijn soms niet groter dan een tandenstoker. Het vreemde is dat ze mogelijk zo’n 150.000 jaar oud zijn.
Het Geologisch Instituut in Peking heeft bepaald dat de ijzeren buizen ongeveer 150.000 jaar geleden zijn geproduceerd, aldus Brian Dunning van Skeptoid.com. Als ze gemaakt zijn door mensen moet de geschiedenis wellicht worden herschreven. De leeftijd van de voorwerpen is vastgesteld aan de hand van thermoluminescentiedatering, waarbij de hoeveelheid licht wordt gemeten die vrijkomt uit materiaal na thermische stimulatie.
Persbureau Xinhua maakte in 2002 melding van de piramide en de pijpen, waarna een team wetenschappers naar het gebied werd gestuurd. Hoewel sommigen van mening zijn dat de buizen een natuurlijk fenomeen zijn, vertelde Yang Ji van de Chinese Academie voor Sociale Wetenschappen aan het persbureau dat de piramide mogelijk is gebouwd door intelligente wezens. Hij sloot niet uit dat buitenaardsen verantwoordelijk konden zijn voor het bouwwerk.

Zheng Jiandong van de Chinese Administratie voor Aardbevingen vertelde de staatskrant People’s Daily in 2007 dat sommige van de buizen zeer radioactief waren. Hij zei dat ijzerrijk magma mogelijk via scheuren naar boven is gekomen en tijdens het stollen de vorm van buizen heeft aangenomen.
Xinmin Weekly meldde in 2003 dat de buizen gefossiliseerde boomstammen konden zijn. Wetenschappers zouden plantenresten hebben aangetroffen in monsters uit het gebied en ook zagen ze een soort groeiringen.

The Strange Case of Gold Key’s “UFO Flying Saucers” Comic
I love flying saucers, especially the ones that appeared in the skies for the first three decades following Kenneth Arnold’s 1947 sighting of nine objects over Mount Rainier in Washington state. The saucers spotted in the skies in those days were not always saucers; they were just as likely to be cigars, triangles, glowing orbs, bat-winged monstrosities, spinning tops. But when they were saucers they were spectacular saucers: smooth, shiny, aluminum things that twinkled with lights, their pilots peeking from portholes that ringed their sides. The entities spied through the portholes or seen disembarking the craft were equally diverse; there were tall Nordics with peaceful philosophies, stinking lobster-clawed horrors, miniature men wearing antennaed spacehelmets; they were goblin-like, ape-like, angel-like. It was as if the Earth was being visited by craft from hundreds of planets, as if we were a key stop on some intergalactic highway, a tourist attraction for the stars.
In time, thanks to Stephen Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind and ET: The Extraterrestrial, thanks to Whitley Strieber’s Communion: A True Story, thanks to The X-Files, the craft and their occupants became standardized. The Roswell crash rose to prominence alongside the abduction narrative, each in its own way serving to stifle creativity, shaping the UFO storyline into a monolithic narrative that was foreign to it in the early days. Bug-eyed, big-headed, long-fingered Grays drove out the little green-men, the little barking women with silver hair, the robots with death-ray eyes. I start to lose interest when the encounters only happen in dark bedrooms or on military bases, when repressed memories call up terrors from the past, when government conspiracies become more important than the wonder of the unknown, when abductions replace chance encounters in the dark woods. But, even then, if a tale is wild enough, bizarre enough, weird enough, unbelievable enough I am still entranced, still captured by the power of the alien.
Of course, flying saucers aren’t what they used to be. Things have been pretty quiet for a long time now, the skies remarkably free of saucers and cigars. In the ‘90s Roswell was front and center; in the ‘80s it was abduction reports. Before that, in the long heyday of saucers that stretched from the late ‘40s to the mid-‘70s, it seemed that flying saucers were everywhere. UFO flaps swept the nation, from Washington state to Washington, D.C. Flying saucers and their alien pilots became a vibrant part of popular culture. They shimmered on drive-in movie screens and on living room television sets. They were on children’s lunchboxes and Saturday morning cartoon shows. They were in comicbooks.
When flying saucers first came on the scene in the late ‘40s, the Golden Age of comic books was waning and the superheroes who had defined that era were on the way out. Flying saucers flew their way into the new comic books that struggled into prominence in the ‘50s, especially those devoted to horror and science fiction. It wasn’t long, however, before costumed do-gooders returned with a vengeance. First came the rejuvenation of DC heroes like Green Lantern and the Flash in the late ‘50s, then the birth of the Lee/Kirby revolution at Marvel in the early ‘60s. Flying saucers flew in the skies along with these new heroes. The new Green Lantern was even granted his powers following an encounter with a crashed spaceship and its alien pilot. By the end of the ‘60s a new age of superheroes had dawned and the comicbook world would never look back.

Alongside the powerhouses that were DC and Marvel, a few smaller companies managed to stay alive by publishing non-superhero books. None was better at this than Gold Key Comics, an imprint of Western Publishing. Gold Key licensed Disney characters. They published comicbook versions of Star Trek and The Twilight Zone. They published original science fiction like Space Family Robinson, which preceded the Lost in Space television program, and Russ Manning’s amazing Magnus, Robot Fighter 4000 A.D. And, when flying saucers made one of many comebacks in the late ‘60s, they published UFOFlying Saucers.
Despite what one may think, UFOFlying Saucers comics are, for the most part, not science fiction. They are instead graphic representations of supposedly true stories of UFO sightings and contacts with extraterrestrials. UFOFlying Saucers was not the first book in this unusual genre of “true” UFO stories. That distinction probably belongs to Al Feldstein’s Weird Science-Fantasy #26, from December 1954, which illustrated the UFO mystery with the help of best-selling saucer researcher Donald Keyhoe. Dell published four issues of Flying Saucer Comics in 1967. Neither of these earlier entries can match Gold Key’s version, however.
Not that UFOFlying Saucers was a runaway commercial success. Gold Key only published 25 issues over the course of the series, from 1968 to 1978. Half-way through the series, the title was changed to UFO Outer Space. Many of the later issues were reprints. It is also true that sometimes, maybe even most of the time, these comics were not very good, especially by today’s standards. The stories are short, hurried, and undeveloped. It is clear that they were meant to catch the eye of a kid caught up in the UFO craze and provide just enough entertainment to warrant the 15 cents expense (25 cents for the oversized first issue!). The lack of commercial and artistic success is not the end of the story, however, because even with that in mind there is still something special about these books, especially for fans of both comic books and flying saucers. (I refuse to believe that I’m the only one!)

Not that UFOFlying Saucers was a runaway commercial success. Gold Key only published 25 issues over the course of the series, from 1968 to 1978. Half-way through the series, the title was changed to UFO Outer Space. Many of the later issues were reprints. It is also true that sometimes, maybe even most of the time, these comics were not very good, especially by today’s standards. The stories are short, hurried, and undeveloped. It is clear that they were meant to catch the eye of a kid caught up in the UFO craze and provide just enough entertainment to warrant the 15 cents expense (25 cents for the oversized first issue!). The lack of commercial and artistic success is not the end of the story, however, because even with that in mind there is still something special about these books, especially for fans of both comic books and flying saucers. (I refuse to believe that I’m the only one!)
First of all there are the painted covers. Gold Key produced some of the best covers in the history of comic books, presumably in an attempt to make their product stand-out from all of the other products on the newsstand, many of which featured more popular characters and titles. Their strategy certainly worked on me when I was a kid. I have been known to pass up Action for an issue of Magnus: Robot Fighter or The Phantom on the strength of the cover alone. Sometimes those painted covers just couldn’t be resisted. They were works of art. I don’t remember ever seeing UFOFlying Saucers at the newsstand and I think

The covers represent some of the very best examples of UFO-related art produced during the flying saucer age, making it an exceptional shame that most of the creators of these comics are not credited for their work. Most commonly, as in the fabulous cover for the first issue, the UFOs are bright red saucers with glowing yellow lights, domed tops, and portholes. They fire beams at fleeing humans; they rise menacingly from the depths of the ocean; they raid high-voltage power lines to recharge their energy supplies. But the alien craft are not always saucers. They are rocket ships; they are bat-things; they are living jelly-fish from outer space! And, on nearly every cover, humans are in jeopardy, often shown running from the saucers or from the strange creatures that have descended from them.
And what creatures they are! Tiny green ogres force their human captives aboard their ship; a robot with glowing eyes terrorizes a boy and his dog; skull-headed creatures in red uniforms fire ray guns at their victims; big-browed technicians have a human victim in the cross-hairs of their evil rays; a scarecrow-like creature with webbed fingers rises from the cornfield to terrorize its victim. The aliens depicted here are a diverse lot. There are no black-eyed Grays in this crowd. Every depiction is of a different species.
The stories themselves are primarily based on classic stories that have been told and re-told in countless books and television programs through the years. They include the story of the 1897 Kansas cow-napping, the story of Kenneth Arnold’s flight that gave birth to the flying saucer craze, the story of the lights seen over Lubbock, Texas. Thomas Mantell’s crash is depicted in the story “The Pilot who Chased a UFO”. The 1948 Montgomery, Alabama sighting is here as well in “Incident over Alabama”. Likewise the 1952 Washington, DC sighting: “The Day they Buzzed Washington” and Lonnie Zamora’s Socorro, New Mexico sighting: “The Scare at Socorro”. The stories that I grew up reading, the ones that used to scare me to death, that still scare me if I think about them deeply, they are all here: the Incident at Exeter, the Maury Island Mystery, the Flatwoods Monster, the Men in Black, the Contact at Pascagoula. There is even a cautionary and prescient story devoted to the cult of Him and Her, later renamed Bo and Peep, who would lead their followers to suicide in the Heaven’s Gate tragedy of 1997. These stories are a match for the covers in terms of their depictions of the aliens and their craft. There are small aliens and giants among this crowd; robots and hairy beasts; purple-skinned, gold-skinned, green-skinned things. There are benign explorers here as well as terrible threats; friends of humanity stand alongside monstrous evils.
These books, these UFOFlying Saucers comics, are among the best re-tellings of the classic stories, stories that followers of flying saucers have read and re-read. There is something about the comic book format, limited though the art form is in most of the cases represented here, that gives life to the sightings in a way that words or the cheap television and movie special effects of the day never could. They are stories meant for comic books, four-colored in their essence.
I’m glad that I found these books. They make be believe in flying saucers again, even if I only discovered them many years after my childhood credulity and wonder had given way to boring old academic curiosity. They leave me amazed at the creativity of the human brain, at our ability to create new fantasies, to dream up both new threats and new opportunities. It is a thrill to see these stories that I know so well depicted here, a thrill to see the diversity of the saucers and the saucerians that was a hallmark of those early days, those days when space travel was new and exciting, when the cold war kept us watching the skies for dangers from above, when the threats seemed insurmountable but the possibilities seemed as limitless as the stars.

According to Otto Shamin from the Russian city of Taganrog who went public with this in 2001, there is a remarkable case which he has kept in his memory for many years, which include part of the story of Mikhail S. Gorbachev. As it is widely known, Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev was elected to the post of the Secretary General of the CPSU (Communist party of the Soviet Union) o March 15 1985 and in 1990 becoming the first and last president of the former USSR. On the next day he addressed the nation on the television. And on the very next day March 17, approximately 1400, quite suddenly and apparently without telling many around him, he left the main CC CPSU building (The Headquarters of the central Committee) located on Old Square Moscow. He quickly rushed into a black “Volga” car and with an unusual small cortege of only three identical black “Volgas” GAZ-3102 cars, including one in which Gorbachev rode in accompanied by a few of his most trusted KGB/military/government men. Even the chief of Gorbachev’s garage, Mr. M. Volodin was unaware of the selected route. The next day all three “Volgas” returned all extremely dirty with mud up to their roofs. The speedometer of all the vehicles indicated an increase of 200 kilometers. Where they went remained unknown. All the participants of the trip remained silent. Otto Shamin from Taganrog who had close ties to the Moscow Party bosses and attempted to investigate the incident was told by his cousin an avid winter fisherman, that on March 17, he had gone fishing with some friends near the town of Mytiszi (northeastern suburb of Moscow) and on their way back at about 1500 hrs outside of the town they noticed three black Volga cars driving deep into the forest. Some time after that they saw two large red globes descending from the sky in approximate the same direction. One and a half hour after that both globes ascended and disappeared into the sky. An important detail was noticed, during the whole time, there was a total electric blackout which covered the electric railroad between Moscow and Mytiszi. The railroad was completely disconnected from the main cities, and crowds of people waited on the platforms of the suburban stations. Others in the area also observed the red globes descending into the forest. Nobody was able to explain the cause of the electrical failure. At the beginning of April another man acquainted with Mr. Shamin who occupied a post on the CPSU Committee in the town of Zelenograd told Shamin that several days before a confidential letter (classified secret) was obtained by all CPSU Committees in the northern areas of the Moscow region. The letter said approximately the following: “In case you are questioned as to what happened with the electricity in your region on March 17 of this year, explain it as just a simple accidental power outage” it was signed, ‘Gorbachev”. According to some researchers it was possible to reconstruct the supposed contact or “meeting”. The meeting (if it indeed took place) was planned in advance after Gorbachev in person covertly obtained the precise information about the exact time and coordinates in the form of an urgent alien invitation. Information probably included demands to meet with the head of the government himself (Gorbachev) and included exact data as to the individuals who must be present with him and who he was allowed to take with him. The total group probably included 3 drivers, and about 9 passengers in general only about 12 men. Besides Gorbachev, there was General Vladimir Medvedev, Chief of Gorbachev’s security, KGB Chairman Victor Mikhailovich Chebrikov, Gorbachev’s most trusted friend Academician Alexander Nikolayevich Yakovlev and a few others men, and maybe about 4 or 5 KGB officers mostly from the security team of General Medvedev (KGB department # 9). Before arriving at the location the cars drove on a long road making numerous evasive turns and maneuvers. Around 1500 hrs all three black Volgas finally moved deep into the Pirogovskiy forest in the center of the so-called “Pirogovskiy Lesopark” (forest preserve or park) about 2 km northwest of Mytiszi, between Mytiszi and the Pirogovskiy water reservoir the cars stopped in a meadow amid birch and aspen trees. Security men were then positioned on the perimeter. 10-15 minutes later, two shiny alien crafts appeared in the sky, surround by reddish plasma glows. They approached the group and then hovered in midair at a low altitude, the glow around them decrease in intensity and then both UFOs landed or descended very close to the ground, several dozen meters from the group. Several tall humanoid entities that looked basically like humans but not exactly, came out of the objects and communicated with the group for about 1 ½ hours. All the humanoids were apparently disguised to look more human, and were very tall and possibly reptilian in nature, camouflaged by holograms. A number of “problems” were negotiated. And then the aliens went back into their crafts which then zoomed up and vanished. Among the items most likely “discussed” included the following:
Nuclear disarmament
In case of nuclear disarmament they would supply the USSR with needed technologies. The USSR must convince the USA (Ronald Reagan, etc) to reject the “Star Wars” program or SDI. The USSR must reject technologies that destroy or pollute the environment. In exchange of that rejection the aliens would provided the USSR with super-advanced technology replacing the normal earth technology which destroys nature.
All the witnesses must maintain complete silence and secrecy about the meeting for the rest of their lives and never tell anyone (However there is evidence that Gorbachev told his wife Raisa).The aliens also possibly invited several members of the group including Gorbachev to look at their propulsion system and other equipment inside the craft. They also probably negotiated with Gorbachev and his team about a vast reconstruction program of the USSR and declare that they would support him on this; this program was soon called “Perestroika”.

Comments: History indeed changed when Gorbachev became the leader of the Soviet Union, unprecedented changes ensued. Indeed many of the promises were not completely kept and in a recent interview with Gorbachev he stated that the governments of the world had “wasted too much time” and did not take advantage of a wonderful opportunity given to them with the end of the Cold War. (March 28 2006).
Additional information: According to testimony by Jim Sparks, from Fort Myers Florida 1988, Tall Reptilians reportedly told him that they had negotiated with the leaders of the world. Apparently in 1987 Gorbachev inspected the remains of a crash UFO seized by the Soviets near Pribylovo, Vyborg area and kept at the Monchegorsk military air defense aerodrome. Gorbachev also possibly knew about other UFO crashes and incidents.
February 25, 2009 at 3:42pm… It seems that modern day Ufology is mostly pre-occupied with basic rehashed subjects such as, Roswell, Area 51, abductions by grays, government disclosure. It seems that nothing new has been added and we might be a little further from the truth since 1947 (or before), but right now I want to talk about the Kings of abduction the Hollywood and media glamorized alien or your “typical” Gray. Where were the grays when Vallee put together his ground breaking work and catalog “Passport to Magonia” I venture to say that none of the aliens or humanoids described there had any close resemblance to our modern day “Gray”, even further the also ground breaking book edited by Donald Hanlon, the humanoids describing hundreds of reports from the famous 1954 French wave, early American encounters and of course a South American listing, the aliens described there include, humans, robotic, giants, hairy humanoids, even little green men, nary a Gray is mentioned. Granted towards the later years reports of “little humanoids or smal aliens” were more typical. But most of the known abductions at the time did not describe your prototypical Gray, maybe the Hills in 1961 encountered the vanguard of the gray armada, but their aliens were uniformed human sized with slanted eyes, again not your typical gray. Not the gray that we lovingly got to know in Spielberg’s ET or those shown in the great movie “Close Encounters”.
The late great Ufologist Gordon Creighton once asked, “Has a new race of aliens taken over the exploration of the Earth” (When he noted the sudden shift little men reports in the late 60′s and early 70′s).
To me it seems to me that the Grays are a Johnny come lately type alien in Ufology, popularized by the books of Hopkins, Jacobs, and others, who at times would ignored reports of different types of aliens except for the grays, reported by abductees. The late John Mack included in his book “Abduction” different reports describing apparent different alien specifies. During the huge 1989-1990 in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe there were hundreds of humanoid encounters (over 200 in 1990 alone) and I had to dig deep within my case summaries to find any reference to grays, as a matter of fact most the humanoids reported were of the human type or giants like the several cases from Voronezh and other types of creatures. I am not completely discounting all reports of grays type creatures, but I caution researchers researchers when investigating such reports.
Whitley Strieber seems to have had numerous encounters with what we might call “Gray” humanoids, Travis Walton reported them in 1975 during his abduction (in conjuction to tall blond types, similar to the ones encounter by Dionisio Llanca in Argentina in 1973), Air Force Sgt Charles Moody reported being abducted by “embryo-like” humanoid grays, a rare early report describing such humanoids, since most early reports (50′s, 60′s, etc) of abductions describing “gray” humanoid have actually come to light in the 90′s and 00′s under hypnotic regression.
Gray type humanoids are real I believe but they are not what we might think they are.
There has been much written about the mysterious ‘secret’ Antarctic underground base, the Ahnenerbe Society, the 'Thule Society' and Hitler’s UFOs.
The video below discusses the Ahnenerbe Society: the most mysterious organization of the Third Reich and their involvement in developing of UFOs and Hitler’s obsession to disclose the secrets of the Antarctic, after a map (Piri Reis Map – The map showed the area before it was covered in ice, 300 years before it's discovery) was discovered serendipitously on 9 October 1929, through the philological work of the German theologian, Gustav Adolf Deissmann.
Hitler and Himmler, they put together a team to search the area as shown on the map. They found a cave under the ice with warm water that could easily hide large crafts. Hitler was sure the Antarctic was where the lost continent of Atlantis once was.
A team was deployed to search the area in order to find the ‘Holy Cup’. Hitler already had possession of the 'Holy Spear', and the legend was that if he could get the 'Holy Cup', he could have world power. He was sure he would find the ‘Holy Cup’ there.
Furthermore, as a result of Hitler’s interest in the paranormal, he, Himmler and the Ahnenerbe formed an elite group of scientists to study the paranormal to make contact with unknown beings. But they didn't realize that contact with aliens already been done in 1919 by secret 'Thule Society' members (See: Vril and the alien woman). They found or received some documents that told how to build a flying disc that would take them into space using unconventional means.
They finally built it, but it needed a special engine. This is when they brought in Victor Schauberger. He built it 5 years later.
At the end of the War, probably they have used the cave as a secret ‘UFO’ base with the intention to keep their secret UFO technology, but when the U.S. found out about this, they sent their ships to investigate the area too.
When they got close, a large disc-shaped craft came up from the water and passed by them so fast it bent one of the antennas on the ship, and was gone in the blink of an eye. It sent down a ray and blew up a ship after that, so the fleet turned around.

De Europese planeetverkenner Venus Express duikt de komende drie weken steeds dieper in de dikke dampkring van de planeet Venus. De kans is groot dat zij dat niet overleeft. Venus Express zal dan verbranden in de koolzuurrijke atmosfeer.
Daarmee komt ook een voorlopig einde aan het onbemande onderzoek van de planeet. Venus Express beschrijft sinds april 2006 een langgerekte baan rond Venus, met het laagste punt op 250 kilometer hoogte. De brandstof aan boord is bijna op; de wetenschappelijke missie is voltooid en vluchtleiders van de Europese ruimtevaartorganisatie ESA hebben nu een spannende slotact voor de ruimtesonde in petto.
Sinds gisteren wordt het laagste punt van de omloopbaan steeds verder omlaag gebracht. Elke dag duikt Venus Express zodoende iets dieper de dampkring in, uiteindelijk tot een hoogte van slechts 130 kilometer. Daarbij worden metingen verricht aan temperatuur en luchtdruk.
Schat aan informatie Dat Venus Express in de komende weken misschien de laatste adem uitblaast, is niet erg. Het toestel heeft een schat aan informatie verzameld, voornamelijk over de dampkring van de planeet. Zo is ontdekt dat Venus lang geleden oceanen gehad moet hebben. Die zijn verdampt toen er een extreem broeikaseffect op gang kwam. De dampkring is in de afgelopen jaren ook sneller gaan roteren, terwijl de draaisnelheid van de planeet zelf iets is afgenomen. Boven de zuidpool van Venus is een grote cycloon ontdekt en infraroodcamera's vonden aan het zinderend hete oppervlak aanwijzingen voor recent vulkanisme.
Uitstel van executie Mocht de ruimtesonde de duikvluchten toch overleven, dan zal de baan na 11 juli weer worden 'opgekrikt'. Maar dan is er hooguit sprake van uitstel van executie: later dit jaar is echt alle brandstof aan boord verbruikt en is het gedaan met Venus Express.
Eind 2015 hoopt de Japanse ruimtevaartorganisatie JAXA de planeetverkenner Akatsuki in een baan rond Venus te brengen. Of dat lukt is de vraag: Akatsuki kampte eind 2010 met motorpech en draait sindsdien in een baan om de zon. Daarna zijn er geen ruimtevluchten naar de planeet gepland.
Een menselijke kolonie bouwen op Mars. Sciencefiction? Niet zo volgens Elon Musk, die naast elektrische auto's zijn levenswerk maakt van ruimtetuigen. In een interview metCNBC verklaart hij dat het mogelijk moet zijn over tien jaar de eerste mensen naar de rode planeet te voeren.
De Amerikaanse zakenmagnaat ziet het groots. De oprichter en CEO van Tesla Motors vond de elektrische auto opnieuw uit en als voorzitter van Solar City kondigde hij recent een revolutie in de zonne-energie-industrie aan. Nu zet hij zijn zinnen op een nog indrukwekkender doel: mensen naar Mars brengen.
"Ik ben zeer hoopvol dat over tien tot twaalf jaar de eerste mensen naar Mars gevoerd kunnen worden", zegt hij in een interview met CNBC. Volgens Musk is het van vitaal belang een menselijke kolonie te stichten op Mars. "Anders zal de mensheid maar overleven tot de volgende grote catastrofe, zoals de asteroïde die de dinosaurussen deed uitsterven."
Dragon V2 Musk richtte in 2002 SpaceX op om de ontwikkeling van de rakettechnolgie te versnellen - allemaal met een zelfvoorzienende, permanente basis op Mars in het achterhoofd. Recent onthulde SpaceX de Dragon V2, een ruimtecapsule die ontworpen werd om NASA-astronauten naar het ISS te brengen.
SpaceX werkt ook aan een ander ruimtetuig, de Falcon Heavy, voor vrachtvervoer naar de ruimte. De Falcon Heavy zal echter niet naar Mars gaan; daarvoor is een veel groter ruimtetuig op komst, aldus Musk.
Mars One Maar kan dat al binnen een decennium? Volgens Philip Metsger, fysicus en planeetdeskundige in het NASA Kennedy Space Center, is dat niet onrealistisch. "Ik denk dat het doenbaar is over tien jaar op Mars te geraken", zegt hij in Forbes.
Musk is niet de eerste die droomt van een kolonie op Mars. De Mars One Foundation hoopt vanaf 2023 mensen op een enkele reis naar de rode planeet te sturen. Tot nu toe ontving de Foundation al meer dan 200.000 aanvragen voor een permanente trip naar Mars.

A little more than 6 miles off the coast of Point Dume in Malibu, California, an unusual-looking structure sits on the sea bed floor. Based on images obtained onGoogle Earth, the oval-shaped object has a huge flat top and what appear to be pillars or columns that seem to reveal the entrance to a darker, inner place.
The anomaly -- for the moment, we'll call it that -- is approximately 2,000 feet below the surface of the water, measuring nearly 3 miles wide. What exactly is this thing?
According to the website of a California-based radio program, "Fade to Black," this may be "the Holy Grail of UFO/USO [unidentified submerged objects]" that researchers have been looking for over the last 40 years.

Jimmy Church, who hosts "Fade to Black" on the Dark Matter Radio Network, told The Huffington Post one of his listeners -- someone named Maxwell -- contacted him last month with a Google Earth image showing something odd, underwater off the coast of Malibu. Church then asked graphic designer Dale Romero to capture as many angled images of the anomaly as he could.
"I needed him to find a way to get it under and above the water," Church said. "My first impression was that it was Greek, it looked artificial and didn't look natural.
"When you're looking at it from above, it's a nearly perfect oval shape," Church continued. "In the natural surroundings, nothing is symmetrical. Everything is eroded and covered in rocks and sloping and peaking, and right here, for 2 miles, it is a perfect oval with a black separation or outline to it.
"It just stands out that it has to be some type of roof. It's not unlike a domed stadium or a covered indoor race track or an Olympic arena -- it's got that feel to it. It looks like a perfect oval manmade structure sitting on a construction site."
Using the Google Earth coordinates -- which are, by the way, 34° 1’23.31″N 118° 59’45.64″W -- Church and Romero came up with a series of images, starting from due south, looking north, all the way around and ending up at due north, looking back south.

Also known as The Twelfth Planet or Planet X, some are warning that the wandering body of Nibiru is quickly nearing the Earth – and could cause global devastation. Should you worry?
In 1976, the late Zecharia Sitchin stirred up a great deal of controversy with the publication of his book, The Twelfth Planet. In this and subsequent books, Sitchin presented his literal translations of ancient Sumerian texts which told an incredible story about the origins of humankind on planet Earth – a story far different and much more fantastic than what we all learned in school.
This strange planet has known to be twenty times bigger than Jupiter, with a burning moon which acts like Nibiru’s personal sun. Since Nibiru goes much, much further away from our sun; this theory actually does make sense, and stands out. The Anunnaki who are supposedly the citizens of Nibiru, came to planet earth around 25,000 years ago, and gave a lot of knowledge and detail to the developing humanoids; whom at that time didn’t have the brain capacity or thinking power to comprehend what the Anunnaki were saying. Even the Mayan predicted the existence of Nibiru, or according to them, a certain dark energy in shape of a planet which would be coming near earth in the distant future.
The ancient cuneiform texts — some of the earliest known writing, dating back some 6,000 years — told the story of a race of beings called the Anunnaki. The Anunnaki came to Earth from a planet in our solar system called Nibiru, according to the Sumerians via Sitchin. If you’ve never heard of it, that’s because mainstream science does not recognize Nibiru as one of the planets that revolves around our Sun. Yet it is there, claims Sitchin, and its presence holds great importance not only for humankind’s past, but our future as well.
Nibiru’s orbit around the Sun is highly elliptical, according to Sitchin’s books, taking it out beyond the orbit of Pluto at its farthest point and bringing it as close to the Sun as the far side of the asteroid belt (a ring of asteroids that is known to occupy a band of space between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter). It takes Nibiru 3,600 years to complete one orbital journey, and it was last in this vicinity around 160 B.C.E. As you can imagine, the gravitational effects of a sizable planet moving close to the inner solar system, as it is claimed for Nibiru, could wreak havoc on the orbits of other planets, disrupt the asteroid belt and spell big trouble for planet Earth.
Well, prepare for yet another possible apocalypse because, they say, Nibiru is once again heading this way – and will be here soon.
The story of the Anunnaki is told in Sitchin’s many books and is digested, augmented and speculated about in dozens of websites. But the tale is essentially this: About 450,000 years ago, Alalu, the deposed ruler of the Anunnaki on Nibiru, escaped the planet on a spaceship and found refuge on Earth. He discovered that Earth had plenty of gold, which Nibiru needed to protect its diminishing atmosphere. They began to mine Earth’s gold, and there were a lot of political battles among the Anunnaki for power.
Then around 300,000 years or so ago, the Anunnaki decided to create a race of workers by genetically manipulating the primates on the planet. The result was homo sapiens – us. Eventually, rulership of the Earth was handed over to humans and the Anunnaki left, at least for the time being. Sitchin ties all this – and much more – into the stories of the first books of the Bible and the histories of other ancient cultures, especially Egyptian.
It’s an astonishing story, to say the least. Most historians, anthropologists and archeologists consider it all Sumerian myth, of course. But Sitchin’s work has created a diehard cadre of believers and researchers who take the story at face value. And some of them, whose ideas are getting widespread attention thanks to the Internet, contend that the return of Nibiru is close at hand – possibly as soon as somewhere between now and 2190
Even mainstream astronomers have long speculated that there may be an unknown planet – a Planet X – somewhere out beyond the orbit of Pluto that would account for the anomalies they were detecting in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus. Some unseen body seems to be tugging at them. The finding was reported in the June 19, 1982 edition of the New York Times:
Something out there beyond the furthest reaches of the known solar system is tugging at Uranus and Neptune. A gravitational force keeps perturbing the two giant planets, causing irregularities in their orbits. The force suggests a presence far away and unseen, a large object, the long-sought Planet X. Astronomers are so certain of this planet’s existence that they have already named it “Planet X – the 10th Planet.” The anomalous body was first spotted in 1983 by IRAS (Infrared Astronomical Satellite), according to news stories. The Washington Post reported: “A heavenly body possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to Earth that it would be part of this solar system has been found in the direction of the constellation Orion by an orbiting telescope aboard the U.S. infrared astronomical satellite. So mysterious is the object that astronomers do not know if it is a planet, a giant comet, a nearby ‘protostar’ that never got hot enough to become a star, a distant galaxy so young that it is still in the process of forming its first stars or a galaxy so shrouded in dust that none of the light cast by its stars ever gets through.”
Nibiru supporters contend that IRAS has, in fact, spotted the wandering planet.
“A Mystery Revolves Around the Sun,” an article posted by MSNBC on October 7, 1999 said: “Two teams of researchers have proposed the existence of an unseen planet or a failed star circling the sun at a distance of more than 2 trillion miles, far beyond the orbits of the nine known planets… Planetary scientist at Britain’s Open University, speculates that the object could be a planet larger than Jupiter.” And in December, 2000, SpaceDaily reported on “Another Candidate For ‘Planet X’ Spotted.”
Another article and photo appeared in Discovery News: “Large Object Discovered Orbiting Sun.” The article, published in July, 2001, says, “The discovery of a large reddish chunk of something orbiting in Pluto’s neighborhood has re-ignited the idea that there may be more than nine planets in the solar system.” Naming it 2001 KX76. the discoverers estimate that it is smaller than our Moon and might have an elongated orbit, but they gave no indication that it was heading this way.
Mark Hazelwood, who has a large website warning about the impending arrival of Nibiru and how we should prepare for it, suggests that all of these news stories lend credence to the existence of the Anunnaki’s Nibiru (although none of the articles said the celestial body was heading toward Earth).
Andy Lloyd isn’t as pessimistic – or at least his calculations are different. Since he speculates that Nibiru was actually the Star of Bethlehem seen about 2,000 years ago, “the problem faced by humanity as Nibiru again enters the planetary zone will fall to our descendants 50 generations hence.”
There is even speculation that the Vatican is tracking the position of Niburu. This video quotes Father Malachi Martin being interviewed by Art Bell as saying that the Vatican hierarchy, through research at its astronomical observatory, is monitoring the approach of something that could be “of great import” in the coming years.
WHAT WILL BE THE EFFECTS ON EARTH?
As stated before, the gravitational pull of a planet entering the inner solar system would have profound effects on the other orbiting bodies, including Earth. In fact, the Anunnaki story says that a previous appearance of Nibiru was responsible for the “Great Flood” recorded in Genesis, in which nearly all life on our planet was extinguished (but saved, thanks to Noah). Going even further back, some researchers into this topic suspect that Nibiru once even collided with Earth millions of years ago, creating the asteroid belt and resulting in the enormous gouges in our planet that the oceans now fill.
Mark Hazelwood and others say that Earth is in for some massive and catastrophic changes as Nibiru approaches. Floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, a pole shift and other natural disasters will be so severe, Hazelwood says, that “only a few hundred million people will survive.” Another site says the gravitational pull of Nibiru might even stop the Earth’s rotation for three days, citing the “three days of darkness” predicted in the Bible.
Some of the Nibiru researchers also cite the prophecies of Edgar Cayce who predicted that we would soon suffer monumental Earth changes and a pole shift, even though he did not attribute them to anything as specific as a visiting planet. And, of course, the much-analyzed Mayan calendar is said to set the “end of world” in December, 2012.
Astronomers and other scientists who would seem to be in a position to know such things have made no announcements about the approach of any planet-sized body. Apparently, they have not detected anything of the kind. Those who believe Nibiru is approaching, however, say that scientists do know all about it and are just covering it up.

It was a Monday, bright Sunshine, approximately 2:00 pm, I was getting ready to go to work in New York as a Consultant to the US Delegate to Greece, when I saw my bedroom window was getting dark. It looked like the windows on a car completely encompassing the whole window. I watched it as it slowly moved away, then becoming completely white. I thought it was a helicopter and quickly ran down the stairs and outside. I looked up and saw nothing. I went back in the house and thought I should go out the front, that maybe the helicopter went to the front of the house. I went out, stood on my porch, looked around and saw nothing. Then I looked in the sky and saw this gigantic, bright silver, cigar shaped aircraft. It must have been 2 blocks long. There were no windows or hatches . It just stood there. There was no noise of any kind. It was the shape of a cigar holder, very bright. I thought this was great, so I sat down on my stoop and watched it for about 20 minutes. Then, all of a sudden it moved very slowly for about 50 yards and stopped as if it was looking for something. I looked at the horizon and saw that bright lights of blue, red and green were forming a circle just at the horizon. When it completely formed into a circle the aircraft moved slowly about 50 again, then in one or two seconds took off and disappeared into the circle. It literally disappeared through the circle. I thought this was a great experience and felt bad that I couldn’t make contact with them. I’ve had other personal experiences I will be glad to send you.
