Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

The topic of Unidentified Flying Objects is one that’s currently gripping the attention of many, so much so that it looks like the United States will be releasing some of its UFO files in the near future, according to longtime White House insider John Podesta, Hillary Clinton, and several other sources from where the ‘official’ announcement will most likely come. Although it’s hard to expect any sort of full truth about this topic to be fully disclosed in the mainstream, ‘official’ files from several different governments and intelligence agencies from around the world already confirm the existence of UFOs (links below), so don’t get your hopes up for any type of new information that another country hasn’t already disclosed, but who knows?

It’s interesting that this topic is getting so much attention right now in the mainstream, especially with Hillary Clinton making her comments about it as of late (article on that linked above). That being said, as mentioned above, it’s important to recognize that we’ve been ‘bamboozled’ by the government and corporate media for so long, with so many different examples ranging from the war on terror to the war on drugs, that it’s hard to expect any type of honest revelation about what’s really going on. For anybody who has researched the topic of UFOs in depth, it’s quite clear that this issue goes well beyond government parameters. It appears, to me at least, that politicians are simply told what to say on most topics; they too have ‘bosses’ and those they take instruction from. So, keep that in mind when the government decides to disclose the ‘truth.’

Although the files (of which there are thousands) that have been made available for public viewing d0 contain some eye-opening details, most notably objects of unknown origin performing maneuvers and travelling at speeds no known aircraft can, they contain no hard evidence that states the objects are extraterrestrial in origin, but, there is, as former NASA astronaut and Princeton Physics Professor Brian O’leary puts it, “abundant evidence that we are being contacted, that civilizations have been visiting us for a very long time.” (source)

Yes, the military tracks UFOs on radar, and the objects are also confirmed by the pilots who are sent to take a closer look. Official pictures have also been released; here’s one of many examples in Canada. Not only are they tracked on radar, but they disrupt critical instrumentation and communications within our military jets.
Dr. Jacques Vallee, notable for co-developing the first computerized mapping of Mars for NASA, and for his work at SRI International on the network information centre for ARPANET, a precursor to the modern Internet, also published a paper in the Journal of Scientific Explorationtitled “Estimates of Optical Power Output in Six Cases Of Unexplained Ariel Objects With Defined Luminosity Characteristics.” (source)(source) This also details other phenomenon associated with this craft.

What’s the point? The point is that UFOs have been confirmed as real by these previously classified files, as well as by hundreds of military personnel of every rank over the past few years. Some of the cases described in these files are truly amazing, and now that thousands of them have been officially declassified, the people involved in these incidents have no more fear of coming forward and sharing their stories.

Before going into the story below, it’s important for readers to recognize the ‘seriousness’ of this issue and the concerns that people are having, and have had for years.
One of these people is a now retired Navy commander pilot Graham Bethune who held a top-secret clearance. He was a VIP Plane Commander who flew most of the high-ranking officers and civilians from Washington, DC. In his testimony below, he explains how he was flying a group of VIPs and other pilots into Argentia, Newfoundland, when every single person on the plane witnessed a 300 foot object that traveled 10,000 feet straight up in a fraction of a second toward their plane. As you can see from the video below, he has documented the event extensively.
Below are some very interesting quotes taken from the interview. The interview was conducted by Dr. Steven Greer, founder of the Disclosure Project, which has interviewed hundreds of military personnel of all ranks.

And I was flying at that time, Admiral McCormick who had relieved Eisenhower. Admiral McCormick was the NATO commander…(15:44) There was quite a few that knew about this so this is where I learned a lot that really was not official.
I do know that we did bring some of the craft back from Germany after World War II.
Then we knew that it was a friendly encounter, we knew it knew we were there, we knew it came out to see us. We watched it for a while.
Since then I’ve learned from the boys upstairs why we saw different colours as it was coming toward us. The colours were around the perimeter. And it turned from a yellow to an orange to almost a fiery red and then almost a purplish-red. And they said that that had to do with the amount of energy being used or dissipated. It had to do with the UFO power settings. When it slowed down, close to us, in a fraction of a second, it was back to the yellow range. And it was foggy around it or a plasma mist.
On the flight line where we parked our plane, most of the time, we weren’t too far from what looked like a hangar. Every time my boss and I went by there, he could not understand why I was not interested in going and looking at what was behind the metal wall…And he told basically that they had a craft back there and he told me basically that they did have bodies there…
The last quote you see above the video is one example of why the extraterrestrial hypothesis as an explanation for some of these UFOs existing. Sure, we have files that basically confirm the existence of UFOs, but the extraterrestrial part comes from stories like this one. Another example is former Canadian Defence Minister Paul Hellyer, who told the world that visitors from other planets have been coming here for years, and that global militaries are aware of this (source). The 6th man to walk on the Moon, the late Dr. Edgar Mitchell, told us that “yes there have been crashed craft, and bodies recovered” and that he happens to be “privileged enough to be in on the fact that we have been visited on this planet, and the UFO phenomenon is real.” (source)(source)(source)
The list literally goes on and on of why the extraterrestrial hypothesis exists, another great example comes from a school in Zimbabwe, where more than 60 school children witnessed a large craft landing and intelligent humanoids around it. You can read more details about that case here.

Researchers from the international ALPHA Collaboration just published a paper that has been heralded as a “breakthrough in antimatter research.” Published in the journal, Nature, the outcome of research focus on the properties of antihydrogen. Through their work, the team has enhanced our measurements of the charge of this material by a factor of around 20. This lets us to better comprehend the nature of anitmatter, and the more precise measurements could eventually help us answer some of the most important questions plaguing modern physics. Case in point, one of the most longstanding questions in the study of antimatter (and physics in general) is based on the supposition that the Big Bang generated matter and antimatter in equal amounts. If this is certainly the case, and it appears that it is, then why is there presently so much more matter than antimatter in the cosmos? Where did all the antimatter go?”
Understanding Charges
According to our understanding of the rules of physics, every particle of matter should have an oppositely charged antiparticle with equal mass. But it appears that the “rules” may be slightly different than we expected. According to Dr. Andrea Capra, “we take the charge of matter and antimatter for granted, though, you cannot analyze data or make an experiment assuming it’s true.” To that end, if we want to understand what caused the loss of antimatter in our cosmos, then we need to have a firm understanding of the charge of antimatter. So, what do the new findings reveal? They don’t explain why there is so much missing antimatter, but they do help us better comprehend what didn’t cause the scales to tip in favor of matter.. “That means the electrical charge of antihydrogen – the antimatter analogue of hydrogen – can be ruled out as the answer to the antimatter question,” clarifies York University Professor Scott Menary, an ALPHA member.

Piece of the puzzle
However, we don’t have a final answer, the results do add a piece to the overall puzzle. Furthermore, this was just the first experiment that was performed using the upgraded “ALPHA-2” system, whose biggest component (the cooling cryostat) lent itself to the creation of the stable cryogenic environment that permitted for the higher trapping rate of the technology—and this first experiment was extraordinarily successful, giving us exactly the information that we hoped to gain. The success of this experiment now prompts the ALPHA Collaboration team to begin working on answer other antimatter questions. “We will now look at the other pieces of the puzzle, such as the color of the light discharged by antihydrogen, and test whether hydrogen and antihydrogen produce light in the same way,” says Capra. “We are also working on measuring the gravitational acceleration of antihydrogen and finding whether matter and antimatter have the same gravitational behavior. The next several years are going to be very exciting.” And hopefully, they will give us ideas regarding the final solution to the missing antimatter.

Mysterious Object is 570 Billion Times Brighter than the Sun
Billions of light years away, there is a huge ball of hot gas that is brighter than hundreds of billions of suns. It is hard to visualize something so bright. So what is it? Astrophysicists are not really sure, but they have a couple theories. They think it may be a very infrequent type of supernova — called a magnetar — but one so powerful that it pushes the energy limits of physics, or in other words, the most powerful supernova ever seen as of today. This object is so luminous that astrophysicists are having a really hard time finding a way to describe it. “If it truly is a magnetar, it's as if nature took everything we know about magnetars and turned it up to 11,” said Krzysztof Stanek, professor of astronomy at Ohio State University and the team's co-principal investigator, comedically suggesting it is off the charts on a scale of 1 to 10.
The object was first detected by the All Sky Automated Survey of Supernovae (ASAS-SN or “assassin”), which is a small network of telescopes used to find bright objects in the cosmos. Although this object is extremely bright, it still can’t be observed by the naked eye as it is 3.8 billion light years away. ASAS-SN, since it started in 2014, has found nearly 250 supernovae, though this finding, ASASSN-15lh, stands out because of its sheer magnitude. It is 200 times more powerful than the average supernova, 570 billion times brighter than the sun, and 20 times brighter than all the stars in the Milky Way Galaxy combined. “We have to ask, how is that even possible?” said Stanek. “It takes a lot of energy to shine that bright, and that energy has to come from somewhere.”
Todd Thompson, professor of astronomy at Ohio State, has one probable explanation. The supernova could have produced a very rare type of star called a millisecond magnetar — a swiftly spinning and very dense star with a crazy strong magnetic field. This is how crazy magnetars are: to shine as bright as it does, this magnetar would have to spin at least 1,000 times a second, and change all of that rotational energy to light with almost much 100% efficiency — making it the most thrilling example of a magnetar that is physically possible.
“Given those constraints,” Thompson said, “will we ever see anything more luminous than this? If it truly is a magnetar, then the answer is basically no.” Over the coming months, the Hubble Space Telescope will try to solve this enigma by giving astrophysicists time to see the host galaxy surrounding this object. The team may find that this bright object lies in the very center of a large galaxy — meaning the object is not a magnetar at all — and the gas around it is actually evidence of a supermassive black hole. If that is the case, then the bright light could be explained by a new kind of event, said study co-author Christopher Kochanek, professor of astronomy at Ohio State. It would be something that has never, ever been seen before at the center of a galaxy.
Whether it is a magnetar, a supermassive black hole, or something else entirely, the results are probably going to lead to new thinking about how objects form in the universe.

We leven in vreemde tijden, waarbij veel mensen voelen dat er dingen staan te gebeuren en waar de aarde zich op alle fronten roert.
Niet alleen gebeuren er op aarde opzienbarende dingen, het is ook heel druk in de ruimte.
Afgelopen weken schreven we regelmatig over vreemde voorgevoelens en/of dromen die mensen hebben over de toekomst en in één van die artikelen kwam het volgende voor:
Afgelopen maandag klonk er in de middag een keiharde knal. Ik schrok me echt een hoedje en mijn dieren eveneens. Ik liep naar buiten en meteen klonken er 2 korte harde knallen achter elkaar.
Het leek vanuit de lucht te komen. 's Avonds kreeg ik mijn overbuurman op visite en die vertelde over de knallen. Hij stond op dat moment met meerdere mensen op de parkeerplaats van een supermarkt en iedereen keek omhoog. Ik ben woonachtig te Friesland, nabij Heerenveen. Weten jullie of er meerderen zijn die deze knallen hebben gehoord die misschien weten wat het geweest zou kunnen zijn?
Dit werd uiteraard in de media afgedaan als vliegtuigen die door de geluidsbarrière gaan, maar daarop schrijft een lezer (dank!) het volgende:
Ik was ook maandag buiten met mn vrouw en kinderen, we waren net allemaal terug van de kinderen van school halen, en opeens, rond 15:45 in die buurt was het, misschien 5 minuten eerder, was er een doffe klap te horen, vervolgens begon er wat te trillen, toen was t even stil, met meteen erachteraan nog een GIGANTISCHE klap, met enorme trillingen tot gevolg.
De paniek sloeg wel toe bij ons allen, en wij vroegen ons onmiddellijk af: Aardbeving??? Aangezien wij in het aardbevingsgebied wonen, Siddeburen, Gemeente Slochteren, is dat geen rare gedachte.
Ik dacht meteen: Ik zal eens kijken of er meer mensen zijn die dit gehoord hebben, dus ik plaatste snel even wat op Facebook(dan is zo'n medium wel handig).
Toen ik kort erop in huis ging om eens te kijken op Facebook naar meerdere meldingen, zag ik dat er een reactie was die op twitter allerlei meldingen had binnengekregen in de omtrek van waar de knallen op dat moment gehoord waren.
Roden, Groningen, Westerbroek, Slochteren, Siddeburen, Noordbroek, dat was op dat moment al een groot gebied.
Al snel keek ik ook eens op twitter, en toen bleek dat de vliegbasis Volkel oefeningen zou hebben die dag. toen werd bekend dat er een vliegtuig (boeing 737-800) boven de Nederlandse/Duitse grens geen radioverbinding had, en dus moest er een QRA (Quick Reaction Alert) uitgevoerd worden door 2 F16's. Die zouden door de geluidsbarrière zijn gevlogen, en ze zouden het contact via gebaren met de piloot hersteld hebben.
ECHTER!!! ik heb mn sterke twijfels bij dit verhaal.
Wanneer er 2 F16's naar dezelfde plek moeten, en die gaan door de geluidsbarrière, hoe komt het dan dat de ene knal harder klinkt dan de andere?
De geluidssnelheidsgrens zal dan doorbroken worden, maar de knal blijft toch hetzelfde? De tweede knal was echt gigantisch.
Hoe kan je nou via gebaren(er was geen radiocontact), in een vliegtuig zorgen dat de ander weer verbinding krijgt? Dit is praktisch onmogelijk, want je vliegt met enkele honderden kilometers per uur, en je kan niet dicht op elkaar vliegen, want de gevolgen zouden catastrofaal zijn.
Wanneer je Vliegbasis Volkel vraagt om iets simpels als het vluchtnummer van het radioloze vliegtuig word er gewoon niet geantwoord, dat vind ik ook nogal raar.
Een oude vriendin van mij woont niet ver van de basis af, en die hoort altijd alle vliegtuigen die er overkomen, dus zeker een F16, en die heeft die middag geen F16 gezien, of gehoord.
Mijn conclusie is dus: Er waren geen F16's, er was geen Boeing 737-800 zonder radiocontact.
De mensen worden wederom met een simpel verhaal als bovenstaand afgescheept, en men gelooft het gewoon, want het klinkt geloofwaardig, en dan zie je het weer....Vergelijkingen met 9/11(vliegtuigen) je moet geen 2e 11 september willen....en al dat soort opmerkingen.
Er is iets gebeurd met die knallen wat niemand mag weten, en ik weet zeker dat een F16 die door een geluidsbarrière gaat, never nooit zo'n gigantische oppervlakte zal halen waar de knallen te horen waren. Ga uit van ongeveer heel Prov. Groningen, en een deel van Drenthe, en aangezien de lezer uit Friesland het gehoord heeft, dan weet je wel genoeg.
Mijn gevoel zegt dat er iets gevaarlijks aan de hand is, misschien wel iets met de pole-shift.
Leuk weetje nog: het was maandag 6 juni 2016, zet dat om in getallen: 06-06-16, en neem van alle 3 de laatste: 666, UITGEREKEND op die dag 2 knallen...Toeval??? Nee, geloof ik niks van.
Bovenstaand verhaal past ook weer bij een andere gebeurtenis die is vastgelegd door de inmiddels bekende Youtube gebruiker Streetcap1.
De man ziet via de SOHO ruimtetelescoop een enorme vloot UFO’s voorbij komen waarvan hij zegt:
“Ze vliegen in formaties van kleine groepen, wat er misschien op wijst dat het militaire schepen zijn. Ik heb teveel UFO-vloten gezien om niet te weten dat deze echt is”.
Ook een andere ufoloog, Scott Waring, is onder de indruk van de beelden en hij zegt ook duizenden beelden van de zon gezien te hebben via SOHO, maar nog nooit iets dergelijks.
Hij zegt dat het feit dat het hier een vloot betreft geen goed teken. Een vloot van dergelijke omvang die de aarde passeert is een teken dat er iets bijzonders aan de hand is.
Naar schatting bestaat de vloot uit zo’n 80 tot 100 schepen en de grote vraag is natuurlijk wat ze hier te zoeken hebben op dit moment.
Wordt er misschien dan inderdaad in de achtergrond een massale evacuatie van de aarde voorbereid?

Op een NASA-foto is een voorwerp op het Marsoppervlak te zien dat doet denken aan een schedel. De foto heeft de aandacht getrokken van het Amerikaanse nieuwsmagazine Inside Edition.
De afbeelding, die door Marsrover Curiosity naar de aarde is gestuurd, is het onderwerp van een video van een onderzoeksgroep waarin close-up beelden van het curieuze voorwerp op de planeet worden getoond.
Is het een schedel? En zo ja, van wie is de schedel? Of van wat? Paranormal Crucible schreef: “Vreemd artefact gevonden door de rover, lijkt op een grote schedel van een alien, kan het gaan om resten van een Sasquatch of een bizar Marswezen?”
Sinds augustus 2012, toen Curiosity landde op de rode planeet, komen er geregeld foto’s voorbij van vreemde dingen op Mars. Ze variëren van primitieve voorwerpen – zoals stukken metaal en vreemd gevormde stenen – tot kleine dieren en vrouwelijke figuren.
NASA was niet gelijk bereikbaar voor commentaar, aldus het magazine.

This was sent into me yesterday by a reader of UFO Sightings Daily. He said he found a an object on Google Earth in Argentina that he wanted me to take a look at, because it had a disk shape. When I checked out the coordinates he gave me, I found that the UFO was visible 4 times. The first three times its seen far away, but still a disk shape...tilted. The fourth and final time its extremely close and tilted again. Its also tilted, which is what Bob Lazar (Area S4 scientist) says that disks need to do to move from place to place. It also has an antenna sticking out of it, this shows us the direction its moving, the antenna seems to be bent the opposite way. Purpose may be for magnetic energy waves it harness to hover. This is a very old and secluded area. I see brick buildings that were made in the 1800s nearby, with very few farms ever few miles. The month of June delivered yet another "animals" case. It was distributed in the Madrid evening paper Pueblo of June 22, composed by a columnist by name of J.M. Amilibia. Sr. Guerard includes that Sr. Amilibia has some expertise in writing about UFO sightings for Pueblo, and appears to be straightforward and earnest. He likewise kept in touch with the witness, however did not expect an answer, since he is a basic laborer and will be unable to compose. This was the daily paper report:

The thing is that this mechanical assembly tailed me for around 70 meters to my right side, and when I got to that slope over yonder, 1 exchanged the lights of my auto back on, and the contraption came towards me again at fast yet just to blur off when I turned out the lights. I got to the homestead and saw that it stayed close to the entryway, around 100 meters off the ground, moving upwards and downwards now and again. My first believed was to secure myself up in the house, and I did only this. At that point, subsequent to having recouped a bit, I turned out with a pitchfork close by, just in case...you can envision how startled I was; to such an extent, truth be told, that I was considering taking to the mountains where I know a couple of good spots to stow away out..."

"At rapid and turning in the same spot, in spite of the fact that now and again, it crisscrossed or stayed still, or influenced like a pendulum of a clock. For a minute it would resemble a star, and afterward, in the following minute, it was in that spot close to me. Now and again it appeared to me to move like a hurricane, you know what I mean? — like a fantastic maelstrom...Well, it's simply that I haven't the capacity to clarify it; words come up short me!"
"What shape would you say it was?"
"Round on the base and with a kind of cone-formed tower on top. The round part was straightforward and an awesome yellow light originated from inside it. The tower shone and resembled a metal structure."

A large, black triangle UFO was spotted at Indian Land by a South Carolinian witness. It reportedly moved away so quickly, which made the witness upset. He reported his strange experience to Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and his testimony was filed in Case 76605 in the witness reporting database.
According to the report, he was lying in bed with a headphone listening to music when he noticed a light after looking out a bedroom on May 26, 2016.
The witness claimed to have seen a white light along with red and blue lights blinking on the UFO. He was thinking of a plane, but the object was moving so fast than any other typical planes that he had known. The speed caught his attention, so he got up and ran to the window.
Also unusual to him was the size of the light. It was so big and considering the distance, some detail could be made out if it was a plane, said the witness. The witness just saw the blue and red strobes on the wings, but it was just a ball of light to his view.
The witness observed the unidentified flying object as it moved behind trees, still traveling at very fast speed, and then emerged again from the trees.
He then apparently noticed a smaller white light following the first object at the same rate. Just before the witness lost sight of it, he realized that the two lights were connected and that he was actually looking at a huge, black triangle craft with lights at the points.
He was upset not to get outside to see it because he almost had a panic attack and it was too late for him when he got outside because it was gone.
The witness testimony was filed on May 26, 2016, along with one illustration.
The rise in meteor and asteroid doomsday scenarios lately may have you a bit worried. In fact, there are several near-Earth asteroids within the grasp of our orbit. But us Earthlings may have unlikely friends in the fight to save Earth. It isn’t Russia or China. Definitely not Trump. It is aliens that have taken up arms to help us survive. This may seem like a big steamy pile of s@#t. But a recent YouTube video posted by MLordandGod discusses the odd possibility that aliens are in fact protecting Earth. This could put NASA in a bind. Or NASA may be working with aliens to keep us safe.
Aliens Are Our Friends
Recent footage shown by MLordandGod on YouTube discusses what looks like a meteor exploding over Maine. Before the meteor exploded, a second object was reported entering the Earth’s atmosphere. Many conspiracy theorists have stated that the second object was a UFO. The UFO of aliens shot the meteor into pieces before it impacted Earth. Some UFO enthusiasts also think that aliens have galactic patrols circling Earth. Protecting the planet since they know we have yet to develop the tech to shoot down deadly meteors.
NASA Cover-Up or Alien Partnership?
After the meteor was allegedly shot down by aliens, NASA and other government agencies responded. And the cover-ups began flying. The American Meteor Society stated that the second object in the sky was simply a piece of the larger meteor. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time for such an event. This alien protection was seen across the northeast of the U.S. and Canada. There were roughly 700 reports of the incident. It could be possible that NASA is working with aliens to help protect Earth. This would explain a lot of the recent UFO sightings NASA has also been quickly covering up.
Why is Earth so Important to E.T.?
One question everyone should be asking is why aliens are so hell-bent on protecting Earth? Could they be simply saving us only to harvest humans at a later date? The sci-fi inspired conspiracy theories are endless. The fact that E.T. is saving us and our planet from a mass extinction via meteor could reduce NASA budget increases in the future as well. Who can save us? Where are Elon Musk and SpaceX in such a crisis?

Nog iets meer dan drie maanden en dan vertrekt OSIRIS-REx naar de machtig interessante planetoïde Bennu. De opdracht: materiaal van de planetoïde ‘pakken’ en terugbrengen op aarde.
OSIRIS-REx is een acronym dat staat voor Origins Spectral Interpretation Resource Identification Security Regolith Explorer. Een mondvol en dat hoef je ook niet te onthouden. Het belangrijkste om te weten is dat OSIRIS-REx een prachtige missie belooft te worden die het meer dan waard is om op de voet te worden gevolgd. Dat hopen wij natuurlijk te gaan doen, maar eerst blikken we vooruit. Hoe steekt OSIRIS-REx in elkaar? En wat gaat de sonde precies doen?

Bennu Zoals het er nu naar uitziet, wordt OSIRIS-REx op 8 september gelanceerd. De bestemming? Bennu: een planetoïde die één keer in de zes jaar bij de aarde in de buurt komt. De planetoïde is zo’n 510 meter groot en haast zich met een gemiddelde snelheid van ongeveer 100.000 kilometer per uur door de ruimte. De planetoïde heeft zo’n 1,2 jaar nodig om een rondje rond de zon te voltooien en doet er 4,3 uur over om een rondje om de eigen as te draaien. En..ook niet onbelangrijk: er is een gerede kans (ongeveer 1 op 2500, voor zover we nu weten) dat de planetoïde aan het eind van de 22e eeuw de aarde raakt.
Primitieve planetoïde Je ziet: we weten al aardig wat over deze planetoïde. En toch stuurt NASA er een ruimtesonde op af. Waarom? Bennu is een zogenoemde ‘primitieve planetoïde‘. Dat betekent dat deze sinds zijn ontstaan – zo’n 4,5 miljard jaar geleden – eigenlijk heel weinig veranderd is. Onderzoekers hopen dan ook dat deze planetoïde ons veel meer kan vertellen over de omstandigheden in het jonge zonnestelsel. Ze zijn met name nieuwsgierig welke organische moleculen – stoffen die een bijdrage hebben geleverd aan het ontstaan van het leven op aarde – in de jonge jaren van ons zonnestelsel reeds voorhanden waren. Aangenomen wordt dat planetoïden zoals Bennu deze stoffen bezaten en deze – door op aarde in te slaan – op onze planeet afleverden.
Momenteel wordt OSIRIS-REx nog uitgebreid getest.

De instrumenten Werk aan de winkel dus voor OSIRIS-REx. Aan boord van de sonde vinden we verschillende instrumenten die een antwoord kunnen bieden op de vele vragen die wetenschappers hebben. Zo zijn aan boord van OSIRIS-REx onder meer drie camera’s te vinden. Daarnaast bevindt zich aan boord een instrument dat OLA (OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter) wordt genoemd. Dit instrument kan met behulp van laserpulsen de exacte afstand tussen OSIRIS-REx en Bennu bepalen en zo bijdragen aan topografische kaarten van de planetoïde. Daarnaast zijn er nog drie instrumenten aan boord te vinden die onder meer in staat zijn om mineralen te detecteren en identificeren.
TIJDLIJN
OSIRIS-REx wordt op 8 september gelanceerd en moet in augustus 2018 bij Bennu arriveren. In oktober 2018 start de sonde dan met het bestuderen van Bennu. Een belangrijk onderzoeksdoel is het kiezen van een plekje waar materiaal van het oppervlak kan worden verwijderd. In 2019 moet de sonde dan daadwerkelijk wat oppervlaktemateriaal van Bennu opnemen. In 2021 verlaat OSIRIS-REx Bennu en keert terug naar de aarde. In 2023 komt OSIRIS-REx bij de aarde in de buurt en zal deze de ruimtecapsule met daarin het verzamelde oppervlaktemateriaal richting de aarde sturen. OSIRIS-REx keert zelf niet terug naar onze planeet, maar zal zich in een stabiele baan rondom de zon nestelen.
De arm Maar misschien wel het meest interessante onderdeel van OSIRIS-REx is TAGSAM (Touch-And-Go Sample Acquisition Mechanism). Het is een arm die aan OSIRIS-REx bevestigd zit. Op een bepaald moment in de missie is het namelijk de bedoeling dat de ruimtesonde materiaal van het oppervlak van Bennu verzamelt. Om dat te doen, zal de sonde de planetoïde tot op zo’n 5 meter afstand naderen en TAGSAM uitstrekken. De arm moet dan minimaal 60 gram (en maximaal zo’n 2 kilo) materiaal van het oppervlak van Bennu opnemen. Als dat lukt – de arm kan dat in totaal drie keer proberen – dan wordt het verzamelde materiaal opgeslagen in SRC (Sample Return Capsule). Aan het eind van de OSIRIS-REx-missie zal deze ruimtecapsule – met aan boord het verzamelde oppervlaktemateriaal van Bennu – terugkeren naar de aarde. Daar kan het materiaal uitgebreid worden geanalyseerd. Dat neemt naar verwachting zo’n twee jaar in beslag.
Missiedoelen Materiaal van het oppervlak van Bennu halen en terugbrengen naar de aarde is zonder enige twijfel het belangrijkste doel van OSIRIS-REx, maar onderzoekers hopen nog veel meer uit de missie te halen. Zo willen ze dankzij OSIRIS-REx een gedetailleerde topografische kaart van de planetoïde kunnen maken. Daarnaast willen ze achterhalen welke invloed zonne-energie op de baan van de planetoïde heeft (ook wel het Yarkovsky-effect genoemd).
Wanneer OSIRIS REx het oppervlak van Bennu nadert om materiaal van het oppervlak te halen, zullen de zonnepanelen van het ruimtevaartuig een V-vorm aannemen. Dit om te voorkomen dat stof op de zonnepanelen terecht komt.

ARM De missie kan bovendien gezien worden als een belangrijke leerschool voor toekomstige missies van NASA. Denk dan met name aan ARM (Asteroid Redirect Mission). Tijdens deze missie wil NASA een grote kei van het oppervlak van een planetoïde halen, in een baan rond de maan plaatsen en vervolgens astronauten naar de kei sturen om deze te bestuderen en stukjes ervan naar de aarde te brengen.
Het moge duidelijk zijn: OSIRIS-REx belooft een prachtige missie te worden die een schat aan informatie op kan leveren over het jonge zonnestelsel en de samenstelling van planetoïden en bovendien de opmaat vormt naar zoveel meer. En de missie start dus binnenkort. We kunnen niet wachten!

Amazing video footage showing 2 disc-shaped UFO passing over people on the beach during daytime. On 27 June 2004, Roshnie Naidu observed and video-taped a very bright, colourful light that was suspended near her home in Durban for 3 hours. She was able to alert family members and neighbours to its presence, and observed it changing shape from circular to oval.
In 2009 two formations of high-flying, orange-red objects, were seen by many witnesses, and video-recorded by some, as they travelled between the towns of Middelburg and Witbank, 25 kilometres (16 mi) apart. The first formation of 7 objects were seen at 21:51 on 27 February, as they flew westwards from Middelburg towards Witbank. Due to their altitude they eventually disappeared behind clouds. At 20:00 on 6 March, they were noted again high in the sky, but this time greater in number, 23, and traveling in the opposite direction.
On the evenings of 21 and 22 July 2010, residents of Booysens, Pretoria, observed a triangle of bright lights which hung motionless in the sky for two hours. In each instance the object commenced a slow descent towards the horizon at 20:30. Binocular observation revealed nothing more than a blue and emerald light, with a white light which shone straight downwards.
On the evenings of 11, 20 and 21 May 2011, a host of silent, orange lights with consistent luminosity were observed as they travelled faster than a commercial aeroplane over Tierpoort near Pretoria (some 20 objects) and Krugersdorp respectively. On 15 June seven of these objects were observed and some photographed as they crossed the sky in single file over Tierpoort. At 22:00 on 30 October 2011, a Mr van Greuning photographed two of the five silent fireballs which he observed traveling southwards in low cloud near the town of Harrismith.
A reported UFO was spotted in Cape Town on the evening of 28 November 2015. Social media was abuzz with various reports of what seemed to be a green light over the city.
Neuroscientists working at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) have discovered that the brain of both human and non-human primates is capable of anticipating any new situation that might be encountered in its lifetime by creating a special kind of neural network.
The study, published in the PLOS Computational Biology journal, postulates that primates’ ability to come up with a wide variety of behaviors not anticipated by evolution is in fact a product of connections between neurons that form recurrent loops where inputs can rebound and mix in the network. Such reservoir networks can generate a unique combination of inputs that can then be used to develop the correct behavior for any new situation.
The researchers demonstrated their findings by training a network to perform a novel problem-solving task, and then by comparing the neuron activity in that model with that of a pre-frontal cortex of a primate trained to perform the same task. Needless to say, the comparison revealed striking similarities in the activity of neurons in both instances.
This discovery is an important step in understanding the local recurrent connectivity in the brain which essentially allows primates to tackle unfamiliar tasks.

She remembers staring out a large picture window and seeing an egg-shaped object in the sky, hovering over some power lines. “What’s Humpty Dumpty doing up in the sky?” she asked. She remembers the fear in her grandfather’s face when he suggested it was time for bed.
Later that night, as she lay staring at her nursery rhyme-themed wallpaper, an entity walked through her wall. “He looked like a monk, he had a robe, and he was carrying a light. I wasn’t afraid of him,” she said. “He put out his other hand for me to take it, and I did. We walked out into the hallway.” The alien pointed his light at the wall, and they disappeared through it; she remembers being in a large, dome-shaped room with a lot of other children, and they seemed to be learning something. In the morning, she was back in her bed.
ince then, she says, she has been taken more than 50 times, from her home, from the street, from her car, the last time only three years ago, driving through the mountains in Colorado. Each time, it’s the same being responsible. “He looks like your typical gray [alien], but he’s one of the tall ones. It’s just the very subtle shape of his face, his chin is a little wider,” she explained. She calls him her escort. “There’s no friendship. . . . He comes to get me, and I know I’m going to be safe,” she said. “He’s also going to oversee whatever is done.”
Stoner, 68, lives in Florida with her husband. Now retired, she works with fellow “experiencers,” people who feel they have had contact with intelligent nonhuman entities. She also conducts investigations on behalf of the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON. Being an experiencer is very much part of her identity. Her story is coherent, she doesn’t ramble or get lost in the telling.
Do you believe her?
If you said yes, then you might be among the 77 percent of Americans, according to a 2012 National Geographic poll, who believe that aliens have visited Earth, or the 30 percent of Americans who believe that the government has covered up evidence of alien visitation, according to a 2015 YouGov poll. Or maybe it’s happened to you: There are few hard numbers, however, a 2014 survey for a British talk show found that one in 25 respondents believed they’d been abducted by aliens.
Belief that alien life exists on other planets is persuasive, sensible; nearly 80 percent of Americans do believe it, according to a 2015 poll. But belief that the aliens are already here feels like something else, largely because it requires a leap of faith longer than agreeing that the universe is a vast, unknowable place. Abduction and contact stories aren’t quite the fodder for daytime talk show and New York Times bestsellers they were a few decades ago. The Weekly World News is no longer peddling stories about Hillary Clinton’s alien baby at the supermarket checkout line. Today, credulous stories of alien visitation rarely crack the mainstream media, however much they thrive on niche TV channels and Internet forums. But we also still want to believe in accounts that scientists, skeptics, and psychologists say there is no credible evidence to support.
The abduction phenomenon began with strange case ofBetty and Barney Hill. On Sept. 19, 1961, the Hills were driving from Montreal to their home in Portsmouth, N.H. Betty spotted a UFO following them. Barney stopped the car on the highway, near Indian Head in the White Mountains, and got out to look at the craft through binoculars. Seeing humanoid figures in Nazi-like uniforms peering through its windows, he ran back to the car, screaming, “Oh my God, we’re going to be captured!” They drove off, but two hours later, they found themselves 35 miles from the spot where they’d first seen the craft (there is now a commemorative marker at the site), with little memory of how they’d gotten there. Soon after, Betty began having nightmares.
In 1964, the Hills underwent hypnotherapy. Under hypnotic regression — hypnosis with the intent to help a subject recall certain events with more clarity — the couple said that they had actually been pulled on board the vessel by aliens and subjected to invasive experiments. The Hills’ story, revealed to the public in 1965 with an article in the Boston Traveler and a year later in the book “The Interrupted Journey,” launched a flurry of public fascination with abductions.
Barney died of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1969, but Betty went on to become a kind of sage of paranormal experiences. Their story became the blueprint for alien abduction experiences in the years that followed, especially after the airing of the 1975 made-for-TV film “The UFO Incident,” starring James Earl Jones as Barney Hill. Subsequent experiencers would describe similar missing time or have bizarre dreams and flashbacks of things they couldn’t understand. Many would use hypnotic regression to recall their experiences.
Over the next two decades, the alien abduction narrative wound its way into the American consciousness, fed by science fiction films like “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and breathless news reports of mysterious incidents. In 1966, a Gallup poll asked Americans if they’d ever seen a UFO; 5 percent said they had, but they meant it in the literal sense of an unidentified flying object — only 7 percent of Americans believed that the UFOs were from outer space. By 1986, a Public Opinion Laboratory poll found that 43 percent of respondents agreed with the statement: “It is likely that some of the UFOs that have been reported are really space vehicles from other civilizations.”
Some experiencers said the aliens were here to save us and study us, some said they were here to harvest our organs and enslave us. But by the late 1980s, people whose stories would have been dismissed as delusional a generation earlier were being interviewed by Oprah and “true stories” of alien experience, such as Whitley Strieber’s “Communion” and Budd Hopkins’s “Intruders,” were bestsellers. By the 1990s, those who believed in the literal truth of alien abduction stories gained an important ally in John Mack, a Harvard professor and psychiatrist who compiled his study of the phenomenon into a 1994 book titled “Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens.” He later told the BBC, “I would never say there are aliens taking people away . . . but I would say there is a compelling, powerful phenomenon here that I can’t account for in any other way.”
“These books sold really, really well, they were on book racks in airports and railway stations. You couldn’t really avoid it,” said Dr. Chris French, head of the anomalistic psychology department at Goldsmiths College in London and author of a study on alien abductees. And it wasn’t just books — one of the most popular television shows of the 1990s was devoted almost entirely to alien conspiracy theory: “The X-Files.” “All of these things influence people’s beliefs about what might be true, what might be plausible,” said French.
Other social currents, some of them peculiarly American, informed these stories and our interest in them. Space exploration in the 1950s and ’60s forced the country to admit that a vast unknown lay beyond our atmosphere — at the same time, the Cold War inspired existential fear of invasion. The 1960s and ’70s were attended by horizon-broadening mysticism, publicized experimentation with drugs — people talked about out-of-body experiences. The 1980s saw an explosion of angst around “stranger danger,” with a near-constant reports of child abduction and sexual molestation, and then, recovered and repressed memory. Alien abduction stories absorbed those strains, re-inventing them as anal probes and sinister hybrid breeding programs.
Meanwhile, psychologists like French were examining alien abduction narratives from a more skeptical perspective. And what they found is that the truth wasn’t so much out there as it was in our heads. “People have weird experiences in all societies, given that our nervous systems are the same the world over,” explained French. “It’s the interpretations that might differ.”
A small but stubborn percentage of alien abduction experiences defy clear scientific explanation, but many of the rest can have a number of different physiological or psychological explanations, including epilepsy, which can be preceded by visual disruptions, narcolepsy, or sleep paralysis.
In normal sleep, your body is relaxed nearly to the point of paralysis, presumably to keep you from acting out your dreams. Sleep paralysis is a disruption of lucid dreaming in which the mind partially wakes but finds that the body has not. It can be terrifying: Individuals report sensing entities in the room with them and being unable to move, pressure on their chests, out-of-body-like sensations coupled with intense, heightened emotions. In the past and in other cultural contexts, this experience was attributed to demons or evil spirits or a religious phenomenon. In America, science fiction was increasingly part of mainstream entertainment, and stories about alien contact experiences were covered as news, so aliens seemed like a plausible explanation for these experiences.
Then there’s the slippery nature of memory itself. The richness of a remembered experience is no guarantee of its objective reality, even less so if that memory was “recalled” through hypnotic regression. Though now largely dismissed by mainstream psychology, hypnotic regression remains popular with experiencers. Psychologists say that discerning true memories of actual events from true memories of imagined events is impossible, especially if the individual was predisposed to believe in paranormal or alien experiences.
Additionally, there’s old-fashioned hallucination. A recent international survey of more than 30,000 people, none of who were diagnosed with schizophrenia or other mental health issues, found that 6 percent of them reported experiencing a hallucination unrelated to drugs, alcohol, or sleep. Finally, Michael Shermer, prominent American skeptic and columnist for Scientific American, notes, “Sometimes people just make stuff up.”
By the end of the 1990s, the alien abduction bubble had burst. Ratings fell for the “The X-Files.” In April 2001, reports (later denied) circulated that the British Flying Saucer Bureau, 1,500 members strong at its peak, was shutting down after a long dry spell of no sightings. Five months later, two planes crashed into the Twin Towers and no one cared about little green men anymore. “X-Files” director Chris Carter, at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con, declared that after 9/11, the mood justwasn’t right anymore. In 2006, Ben Macintyre, columnist for The Times, declared that the Internet had undermined belief in UFOs and alien visitation: “The unidentified flying object has been identified, and cannot fly any more. ET has gone home.” Skepticism, it seemed, had killed the UFO.
Except that it hadn’t. Not really.
David Clarke is a UFO researcher who investigated the British government’s UFO files — a former believer, he’s now a skeptic and author of several books, including “How UFOs Conquered the World.” In his view, the Internet didn’t kill alien belief so much as offer up hundreds of echo chambers for it to thrive in. “I think there are just as many people who believe that these things happen, but I think that they’ve retreated from public view and they just talk to themselves,” said Clarke. “In order for you to be a party to that, you need to buy into that reality.”
Skeptics want to believe that fewer people believe, that more people are aware of explanations like sleep paralysis or false memories. “People are capable of these fantastic experiences without them being real outside of the brain,” said Shermer, adding, too, that the camera-phone age is increasing the burden of evidence on experiencers.
Experiencers want to believe that public skepticism is subsiding. Rosemary Ellen Guiley, a prolific American writer about paranormal and mystical experiences, explained, “More people are willing to talk about their experiences because media has opened the door, because there has been a lot of media attention on all kinds of experiences, positive and negative. . . . This is validating, that they can talk about it and not be ridiculed.”
Yet if periodic polls are any indication, Americans have remained consistent on the subject of aliens for the last three decades. At any given moment, roughly 10 percent of Americans believe they’ve seen a UFO. A Gallup poll from 1990 found that 47 percent of respondents believed UFOs were “real,” as in alien. A 2015 Ipsos poll found that 56 percent of Americans believed in UFOs. American disbelief of the government line on UFOs has also remained steady. In 1996, 71 percent thought the government was hiding something; it was 79 percent in 2012, according to a National Geographic Survey. In other words, more people believe that the US government is covering up evidence of alien life than believe that Jesus is the son of God (a 2013 Harris Poll survey found that 68 percent of respondents believed Christianity’s central tenet). That makes Hillary Clinton’s campaign promise to open up files on Area 51 look all the more canny.
It also points to a strange moment for us humans, for how our understanding of our place in the universe has changed over the last 50 years. “We’ve become more materialistic, scientific, secular, and yet we are exactly the same human beings . . . with the same physiological and psychological makeup. Our brains are hard-wired to believe in something other than ourselves,” said Clarke. “People will carry on believing it because I think it’s just a natural part of what we are.”
On that point, some skeptics and some believers agree. There’s a long history of anomalous experiences attributed to angels, fairies, gods, and monsters — nonhuman contact experiences made to fit a cultural context. Those experiences point to something common in human consciousness. “We have had experiences throughout history that demonstrate that we are connected to something greater than ourselves,” Guiley said.
Or maybe not. In 1979, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet James Merrill published “Mirabell: Books of Number,” a work transcribing the poet’s conversations with spirits using a Ouija board. “If the spirits aren’t external, how astonishing the mediums become!” he said in an interview. The implication is perhaps disappointing — it’s not spirits, it’s not aliens, it’s just us — but also beautiful. And useful. “Investing time and money into why people have these kinds of extraordinary experiences might help us to answer fundamental questions that we don’t have answers for, like why do we have consciousness? I don’t believe in aliens, but I do believe that something unusual is happening to these people and it ought to be studied,” said Clarke.
Solving those riddles takes a lot of serious work, leads to a lot of dead ends, and might not prove satisfying even if we arrive at answers. Which is why, in the end, it may just be easier to attribute to aliens all the many wonderful things that we simply do not understand about the condition of being human.

The MJ-12 documents are an eight-page memo dated November 18, 1952, outlining the establishment of a secret group by outgoing President Harry Truman. The memo was prepared for President-elect Dwight Eisenhower.
The document simply describes the fact that the U.S. government recovered a crashed alien spacecraft and bodies in 1947 outside of Roswell, New Mexico. It also states that another crash occurred in Texas near the Mexican border in 1950. At that time Truman established a group known as Majestic-12, sometimes referred to as MJ-12. The purpose of the group was to determine how to handle the implications of the Roswell incident and the existence of extraterrestrial beings. The original members of the group were the very top people in government and science. Since they have all died and the names may not be familiar to you, a list of who they were and what positions they held is included.
They are the most dramatic UFO documents ever leaked to the public!
Where Did the Documents Come From? The MJ-12 documents were received on a roll of undeveloped 35mm film by UFO researcher Jaime Shandera in 1984. Shandera had earlier worked with a group of military intelligence personnel who referred to themselves as the "Insiders," who had expressed a desire to have the true facts about flying saucers released to the public.
The documents are the first to uncover the true facts of the dramatic UFO/alien body crash recovery that occurred at Roswell. The story of the investigation of the MJ-12 documents alone could fill a book, and did (see below).

The Controversy The MJ-12 documents have undergone intense scrutiny both by people who claim they are genuine and by those who claim they are fake. Complicating matters is the fact that the actual paper documents have never been available for examination. Instead, there are only photos of the documents which Shandera received on a roll of film.
Clearing the Smoke After clearing the smoke, here is what remains: The preponderance of evidence leans heavily towards those who think the documents are genuine. The research on the "real" side is more thorough.
The side arguing that the documents are fake have made several lightweight claims, most of which were easily refuted by research. In fact, the "fake" side, led by known UFO debunker Philip Klass, had to pay off a $1,000 bet when Klass'claims that certain parts of the document were fake were disproved. The check was written out to Stanton Friedman. Friedman has kept copies of the cancelled check, and made them available for all to see.
Here is the key point: Even if the documents had been faked the research into confirming their authenticity led to finding 160 eyewitnesses who saw or handled wreckage or bodies from the crashed flying saucer! Many of these eyewitnesses have signed sworn affidavits. Others have given what amounts to dying declarations, both allowable as evidence in any court of law in the United States. In addition, all their stories fit together like the workings of a fine watch. Their time frames all line up, as do their descriptions. The evidence that the crash at Roswell really did occur is now so overwhelming that the MJ-12 documents are just a confirmation of the event.
The Double Reverse In another effort to authenticate the MJ-12 papers, one researcher used a unique but effective approach. Lee Graham, an aerospace worker, realized that anything stamped "Top Secret" (like the MJ-12 papers) fell under government security regulations; specifically, Department of Defense regulation 5200.1-R, which requires government employees or government-contracted workers to report any leak or breach of security with Top Secret documents. The forging or faking of Top Secret documents is also a violation of this statute.
The FBI Checks Them Out Graham reported the MJ-12 documents as being either stolen or forged. The FBI spent over one year investigating whether these documents were forged or not. The FBI concluded two things:
First, if the MJ-12 papers were forged, it was an incredible forgery, unlike any they had ever seen in the past. The details of the people and events from fifty years ago were absolutely accurate and coincided with their internal documents.
And second, if the documents were real, they could not get any part of the U.S. government to acknowledge that they had lost them.

He was also a member of a CIA panel that determined that UFOs did not constitute a threat to U.S. national security. Berkener was the executive director at Carnegie Institute, and was a member of the Joint Research and Development Board in 1946.

James Forrestal Forrestal was under secretary of the Navy, then secretary of the Navy. He became the first secretary of Defense in 1947, during the time of the Roswell crash. In 1949 he committed a very mysterious suicide. There was talk that he didn't want to hide the truth about flying saucers from the public. His suicide was considered to be just as weird in his day as the Vince Foster suicide was during the Clinton administration.

Gordon Gray Secretary of the Army, he later held several high security positions under Presidents Truman and Eisenhower. He was also a consultant on UFOs and reported directly to CIA Director Walter B. Smith.

General Nathan Twining Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, Twining was also the commander of the Air Materiel Command based at Wright-Patterson Air base, where the debris and bodies from the Roswell crash were taken. Twining was known to have cancelled a scheduled trip on July 8, 1947, just days after the crash at Roswell and the same day Roswell Army Air Base sent out a press release stating that a flying saucer had been recovered. In a now-famous memo, Twining stated that UFOs were very real.

General Hoyt Vandenburg Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force and former director of Central Intelligence, he was allegedly in charge of security for the MJ-12 group. Vandenburg Air Force base in California, where the space shuttle often lands, is named after him.
