Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.

Wetenschappers hebben sterke aanwijzingen gevonden dat in de atmosfeer van WISE 0855 – een bruine dwerg – wolken gevuld met water of waterijs te vinden zijn.
Wetenschappers bestudeerden de bruine dwerg met behulp van de Gemini North-telescoop op Hawaii. “Je zou verwachten dat een object dat zo koud is, waterwolken bezit,” stelt onderzoeker Andrew Skemer. En nu is er dus sterk bewijs gevonden dat dat ook echt zo is.
Over de bruine dwerg WISE 0855 werd in 2014 ontdekt. Het is een bruine dwerg, oftewel een mislukte ster. Bruine dwergen ontstaan – net als sterren – wanneer een gas- en stofwolk ineenstort, maar slagen er niet in om zoveel massa te verkrijgen dat ze in staat zijn tot kernfusie (en net als sterren gaan schijnen). WISE 0855 is ongeveer vijf keer zwaarder dan Jupiter en bijna net zo koud als deze gasreus. De bruine dwerg bevindt zich op ongeveer 7,2 lichtjaar van de aarde.
Spectrum Eerdere waarnemingen van WISE 0855 wezen er al op dat deze waterwolken bezat. Maar om daar zeker van te zijn, moesten onderzoekers het spectrum van de mislukte ster verkrijgen. Aan de hand van dat spectrum konden de onderzoekers meer zeggen over de samenstelling van de bruine dwerg.
Het onderzoek laat zien dat WISE 0855 sterk lijkt op Jupiter en ook gedomineerd wordt door waterdamp en -wolken. Er zijn echter ook verschillen. Zo bezit de atmosfeer van Jupiter veel fosfine, waarschijnlijk omdat de atmosfeer van deze gasreus zeer turbulent is. Dat WISE 0855 weinig fosfine bevat, wijst erop dat de atmosfeer van de bruine dwerg een stukje rustiger is.

Zeven nieuwe technologieën denderen als een niet te stoppen trein op ons af. En hun impact is enorm. Alles wordt anders.
Dat schrijft arbeids- en organisatiepsycholoog Dik Bijl in zijn nieuwste boek dat – heel toepasselijk – de titel ‘Alles wordt anders‘ draagt. In het boek stipt hij zeven technologieën aan die er hoe dan ook aan zitten te komen en een enorme impact zullen hebben op de maatschappij: robots, kunstmatige intelligentie (KI), zelfrijdende auto’s, 3D-printen, synthetische biologie, nanotechnologie en genomische geneeskunde. Het boek is een hartenkreet: “Laten we hier alsjeblieft eens goed over na gaan denken.”
Geen doemscenario’s In het boek geen doemscenario’s over kunstmatige intelligentie die onze pet te boven gaat en de macht grijpt of genetische manipulatie die uit de klauwen loopt. Nee, Bijl blijft nuchter. En dat is een bewuste keuze, zo vertelt hij aan Scientias.nl. “Ik wil een beeld schetsen van de ontwikkelingen die op ons afkomen en de gevolgen die deze ontwikkelingen hebben. Dat kunstmatige intelligentie de macht grijpt, is niet zo aannemelijk. Ik zeg niet dat het niet gaat gebeuren, maar het lijkt niet erg waarschijnlijk. Wat we wel zeker weten, is dat robots en kunstmatige intelligentie onze banen over gaan nemen. Naar schatting gaat zo’n 40 tot 75 procent van de banen verloren. Dat is een zekerheidje en dus veel belangrijker dan de doemscenario’s.”
MEER WERKGELEGENHEID
De nieuwe technologieën kosten banen. Maar ze creëren toch ook werkgelegenheid? Ja, stelt Bijl. Maar die nieuwe banen wegen niet op tegen de banen die verloren gaan. “Ik las laatst een artikel over een 3D-printbedrijfje. Het bedrijf had al meer dan twintig mensen in dienst en dus werkgelegenheid gecreëerd. Maar die paar banen wegen niet op tegen de tienduizend banen die bij V&D verloren zijn gegaan.”
Werkloosheid En daarmee stipt Bijl direct misschien wel één van de belangrijkste gevolgen van de zeven opkomende technologieën aan: een enorm verlies aan banen. “Robots, inclusief zelfrijdende auto’s, gaan het lager geschoolde fabrieks-, vervoers- en dienstenwerk uitvoeren; KI-systemen nemen op termijn het hoger geschoolde kenniswerk over,” zo schrijft Bijl in zijn boek. Dat lijkt slecht nieuws. Want miljoenen mensen komen dan zonder werk te zitten. “Maar is dat erg?” vraagt Bijl zich in gesprek met Scientias.nl hardop af. “Het speelt ons vrij om een geweldige maatschappij op te bouwen.” Hij wijst erop dat uit onderzoek blijkt dat slechts 10 procent van de mensen met een baan heel blij is met die baan. “Dat betekent dat zo’n 90 procent niet blij is met zijn baan en zich liever met andere dingen bezighoudt. Zo’n 20 procent daarvan heeft zelfs een hekel aan het werk en werkt alleen om een inkomen te verkrijgen.” Voor die 90 procent heeft Bijl met het oog op de opkomende technologieën goed nieuws. “Als we het goed regelen met elkaar dan kan iedereen in de toekomst gaan doen wat hij leuk vindt.” Het dagelijkse werk wordt dan immers uitgevoerd door de nieuwe werkers: onder meer robots en zelfrijdende auto’s. En dat biedt ons de gelegenheid om onze passies na te jagen.
“ALS WE HET GOED REGELEN MET ELKAAR DAN KAN IEDEREEN IN DE TOEKOMST GAAN DOEN WAT HIJ LEUK VINDT”
Nieuwe welvaartsverdeling Ik hoor je denken: Ho, even, dat is allemaal leuk en aardig, maar zonder werk geen inkomen. Hoe moet dat dan? De opkomst van nieuwe technologieën en de daarmee gepaard gaande werkeloosheid schreeuwt om een nieuwe welvaartsverdeling, stelt Bijl. Stel: je werkt in de bouw. Dan heb je alle reden om de 3D-printer te vrezen. Onderzoekers zijn namelijk al aardig ver met het printen van huizen en naar schatting zal zo’n 40 tot 50 procent van de 20 miljoen mensen die wereldwijd in de bouwsector werken door toedoen van zo’n printertje aan de kant worden geschoven. Wat gebeurt er dan? De werknemers komen in armoede te leven. Terwijl de werkgevers – die hun dure arbeidskrachten inruilen voor een veel efficiëntere 3D-printer – aanzienlijk rijker worden. “Het aantal arme mensen groeit en het aantal rijke mensen neemt af, maar de weinige rijken die er dan nog zijn, worden wel steeds rijker,” zo vat Bijl het krachtig samen. De kloof tussen arm en rijk wordt onoverbrugbaar. “En dan stort de economie in: burgers krijgen niets meer en alle voordelen van de technologieën vallen ten deel aan een handjevol rijken. Dat is het doemscenario waar we op afstevenen als we de welvaart niet fundamenteel anders gaan verdelen.” Maar zo’n nieuwe welvaartsverdeling is nog niet zo eenvoudig. Het vereist namelijk dat je de welvaart weghaalt bij de mensen die welvarend zijn. En die hebben daar vaak geen zin in. Bovendien zal zo’n nieuwe verdeling van de welvaart op hoog niveau – Europees of misschien zelfs op wereldniveau – moeten worden bewerkstelligd. Dat betekent dat heel veel neuzen dezelfde kant op moeten wijzen. En diezelfde neuzen slagen er in feite nu al niet in om de armoede effectief te bestrijden. “Wat dat betreft ben ik eigenlijk best pessimistisch,” erkent Bijl. “Als wij geen manier vinden om de welvaart eerlijk te verdelen, dan stort alles in. En dat is wel het pad waarop we ons nu bevinden.”

Het milieu Behalve uitdagingen brengen de technologieën natuurlijk ook mogelijkheden met zich mee. Zo is Bijl ontzettend enthousiast over de consequenties die de nieuwe technologieën hebben voor het milieu. Neem bijvoorbeeld de 3D-printer. Deze stelt ons in staat om lokaal te produceren. Dat betekent dat producten niet meer van de ene kant van de wereld naar de andere kant verscheept hoeven worden. En dat scheelt enorm veel uitstoot. Ook de synthetische biologie is op dit gebied veelbelovend. Deze tak van sport draait om het (om)vormen van organismen tot levende fabrieken die producten vervaardigen. Denk aan bacteriën die met wat aanpassingen bioplastics of biobrandstoffen kunnen produceren en zo een bijdrage leveren aan een groenere wereld.
Onze gezondheid En ook over de consequenties die deze nieuwe technologieën hebben voor onze gezondheid is Bijl enthousiast. “In de eerste plaats heb je nieuwe werkers zoals humanoïde robots die ouderen en zieken gaan verzorgen en KI-systemen die medische diagnoses stellen en helpen om veel meer kennis te vergaren over de relatie tussen genen en erfelijke ziektes,” zo schrijft hij in zijn boek. “3D-printers en synthetische biologie worden ingezet om menselijk weefsel en menselijke organen te produceren die geschikt zijn voor transplantatie. Nanotechnologie draagt bij door het ontwikkelen van nanomedicijnen en het stellen van medische diagnoses met behulp van nanodeeltjes. De genomische geneeskunde gaat bijdragen door een betere diagnostiek, het effectievere gebruik van medicijnen en de inzet van gentherapie.” Veel van deze dingen klinken misschien nog als verre toekomstmuziek, maar daarin moeten we ons niet vergissen. “Deze technologieën komen er echt aan,” vertelt Bijl. “Daar is geen discussie over mogelijk.” Het verbieden van bepaalde aspecten van deze technologieën – bijvoorbeeld de veelgenoemde ‘designer baby’, waarbij embryo’s genetisch gescreend en eventueel gemanipuleerd worden om er zeker van te zijn dat ze uitgroeien tot gezonde baby’s met bepaalde gewenste kenmerken – is zinloos. “Er is altijd wel een plek op aarde te vinden waar je wel een designer baby kunt krijgen. Dus verbieden heeft geen zin. Wel moeten we goed nadenken over de ethische aspecten van deze technologieën.”
“OVERHEDEN MOETEN GAAN EXPERIMENTEREN, BIJVOORBEELD MET HET BASISINKOMEN”
Samengevat kun je tot de conclusie komen dat de mens bij de opkomst van deze technologieën gebaat is. “In principe brengen ze een hoop goeds,” vindt Bijl. Mits we er goed mee om weten te gaan en op hun komst zijn voorbereid. Wat dat laatste betreft, is een belangrijke rol weggelegd voor de overheid. “De politiek is vaak zo bezig met problemen op de korte termijn: vluchtelingen, Brexit, Nexit,” somt Bijl op. “En natuurlijk is dat allemaal best belangrijk, maar dat zijn geen dingen die een wereldwijde impact hebben.” En de nieuwe technologieën hebben dat wel. “Dat is iets wat absoluut op ons af gaat komen.” En de tijd dringt. “Als we ons hier nu op gaan richten, kunnen we het tij nog keren. Maar dan moet het prominent op de politieke agenda. Overheden moeten erover gaan nadenken en gaan experimenteren. Bijvoorbeeld met het basisinkomen. Ik zeg niet dat dat de oplossing is, maar we moeten ons daar wel in verdiepen. Deze technologieën gaan enorme gevolgen hebben en zijn niet meer te stoppen. Aan ons de taak om ze goed te gebruiken, ervoor te zorgen dat niemand achterblijft en iedereen meedeelt in de bonussen die deze technologieën met zich meebrengen.”

Mosaics depicting prominent Bible scenes were uncovered during annual excavations of an ancient synagogue in Israel's Lower Galilee.
During the excavation in June, archaeologists found two new panels of amosaic floor in a Late Roman (fifth-century) synagogue at Huqoq, an ancient Jewish village. One panel showed Noah's ark with pairs of animals, such as lions, leopards and bears. The other panel depicted soldiers being swallowed by large fish, surrounded by overturned chariots in the parting of the Red Sea.
Such images are extremely rare for the time period, according to excavation director Jodi Magness, of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, whose work was funded by the National Geographic Society. [Photos: Unusual Mosaics Decorated Ancient Synagogue in Israel]
"I know of only two other scenes of the parting of the Red Sea in ancient synagogues," Magness told National Geographic.
"One is in the wall paintings at Dura Europos [in Syria], which is a complete scene but different from ours — no fish devouring the Egyptian soldiers," Magness said. "The other is at Wadi Hamam [in Israel], but that's very fragmentary and poorly preserved."

The ark scenes are also uncommon; Magness said she knows of only two other mosaics showing such depictions.
Along with a team of university scholars and students, and the Israel Antiquities Authority, Magness has excavated at Huqoq since 2012. Previous mosaic discoveries have depicted Bible scenes such as Samson and the foxes and Samson carrying the gate of Gaza on his shoulders.
The Huqoq excavations revealed the first nonbiblical mosaic found in an ancient synagogue. That three-tiered mosaic included a scene showing a meeting between two important male figures, thought to be the legendary meeting between Alexander the Great and the Jewish high priest.
These previous discoveries were uncovered in the synagogue's eastern aisle, and the researchers were uncertain whether the mosaics would continue into the nave, the large central area of the synagogue. However, the excavations did, indeed, reveal the Red Sea and Noah's ark mosaics.
"This panel is exactly as it should be," Magness said of the ark mosaic. "It's facing north, so people could see it as they entered from the south," where the main door would have been located.
Excavations at this site also uncovered coins spanning 2,300 years.
"The ancient coins … are critical for our knowledge of the monumental synagogue and the associated village," Nathan Elkins, a member of the research team and a professor of art history at Baylor University, said in a statement.
As is the case after each excavation season, the researchers will remove the uncovered mosaics for conservation and backfill the excavated areas. Excavations are scheduled to continue in the summer of 2017.

The newly digitized scroll fragments scanned by Dr. Alexey Yudistky, revealed some unexpected details of well-known biblical stories that have been released to the world wide public: Noah’s Ark was shaped like a pyramid.
The story of Noah’s Ark and the Great Flood is widely known, many old religions around the world share this myth, but with slim cultural differences. From India to ancient Greece, Mesopotamia and some North American tribes, few legends have survived the centuries without significant changes according to their culture, leading us to believe that there has been a global cataclysm that afflicted every culture of those days.
The Great Flood and Noah’s Ark is not mentioned only in the Book of Genesis, like it was commonly believed, as new related clues are revealed in the Dead Seas Scrolls.
The Dead Seas Scrolls are probably the greatest archaeological and biblical find, ever recorded in our history, the Bible itself being one large historical chronicle. The ancient scrolls are rather an archive of major events and mentions of symbolic personalities that had a massive influence over the history that took place in the last 2000 years.
Since their discovery almost 50 years ago by a Bedouin shepherd in the Qumran Caves of the Judean Desert, scientists have channeled all their knowledge to the restoration and deciphering of the 800 manuscripts that may hold unimaginable secrets that could shake the foundations of our most fundamental beliefs.
QUMRAN CAVE 4 IN THE JUDEAN DESERT, WHERE NINETY PERCENT OF THE SCROLLS WERE FOUND
Of the 800 scrolls, 200 comprise portions of the Hebrew Bible text and the rest are being thoroughly analyzed by the Israel Antiquities Authority within the Leon Levy Dead Sea Scrolls Digital Library Project. Using a custom-made camera, tens of thousands of scroll fragments have been scanned, each fragment being photographed 28 times at high resolution, with several different wavelengths of light. Thanks to nowadays’ sophisticated technology, archaeologists are able to read symbols and words that until recently were simply unintelligible hieroglyphs.
The newly digitized scroll fragments scanned by Dr. Alexey Yudistky, revealed some unexpected details of well-known biblical stories that have been released to the world wide public: Noah’s Ark was shaped like a pyramid. This was concluded after the correct translation of a word following the phrase “the ark’s tallness”, that was illegible until now: “ne’esefet”, meaning “gathered”, thus the ark’s ribs were gathered together at the top in the shape of a pyramid.
In addition to this evidence, a Greek translation of the bible called “the Septuagint”, dating from the 3rd century, described the Ark using a verb with a similar meaning of “gathered”. Medieval scholars like Maimonides also suggested that the Ark’s roof was pointy, a trait of a pyramidal shape.

Skeptics thought to be a mere bedtime story to feed one’s imagination, but now they have strong reasons to reconsider, as Noah’s Ark and the Great Flood are no longer just a biblical story. The Dead Sea Scrolls clear the controversia around this legendary event, since Christos Djonis claimed in this articles “Evidence of The Great Flood – Real or Myth?” that this was no fiction at all.
The lack of evidences is due to the archaical timeline, being estimated that the ocean levels started to stabilize after 7000 BC. Only between 6000 BC and 5000 BC, have been recorded signs of human activity near the shorelines. This span of 1000-2000 years of this complete human absence is most like due to the primitivity that made their existence untraceable, but luckily, we are the proof of man’s ability to get back on the course of evolution.
Overall, the light shed on the story of Noah’s Ark is tremendous news for those who seek the truth, for as the answers will come, more aching questions will rise in their ardent minds.

In the following 30 minute presentation, Icke presents some clarification regarding the ‘reptilian’ issue in full and traces this idea’s lineage back to numerous historical examples that depict humanity supposedly interacting with non-human entities.
When it comes to alien lifeforms in the Solar System, Titan – the largest moon of Saturn is one of the most likely candidates.
Whenever considering the possibility of finding alien lifeforms in the universe, scientists are mostly focusing their search power on exoplanets, or celestial bodies that have the optimal conditions for liquid water to form. With this rapidly growing space race, Earth’s powerful nations have scattered their probes across the Solar System in the hope of being the first to stumble across lifeforms outside of our planet, be it intelligent or not.
One of the surprise candidates that could host alien life is Titan – Saturn’s moon that’s larger than Mercury and has an atmosphere one-and-a-half times as dense as Earth’s. This might satellite is very similar to our planet. Its surface is covered with seas, lakes and rivers that, unlike Earth’s watery composition, are made up of liquid methane and ethane. Although the nitrogen and methane present in the air are toxic for human beings, researchers suggest that other lifeforms could have developed on this particularsatellite.

Their assumptions are based on over a decade of thoroughly analyzing its surface using data collected by the Cassini-Huygens mission sent by NASA in collaboration with the European Space Station (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). Cassini is not the only space probe to visit Saturn’s satellite, but rather the first to enter its orbit. Keeping this in mind, we can only think at what novel info the craft was able to gather from there, since NASA is already working on developing a submarine to explore the vast and unusual seas of Titan.
Adding up to the mystery of this oversized moon, researchers have discovered an unusual feature that seems to defy any logical explanation so far. Images received by Cassini orbiter revealed how, in July 2012, a huge chunk of land measuring approximately 100 square miles (260 square kilometers) has surfaced from beneath the Ligeia Mare, one of Titan’s largest seas. On August 21, 2014, this alleged island disappeared under the shallow portion of the sea, baffling the scientific crew who were unable to find a precise explanation.
Apart from this, scientists believe that a massive underground ocean is trapped within Titan, and that it could contain liquid water leaked from the frozen surface of the planet. There has been much debate on this topic, and researchers strongly suggest that these kind of underground oceans, which are scattered throughout different places in the Solar System, could give rise to alien life.
A recent study of the chemical composition of the planet showed that it contains hydrogen cyanide (HCN) molecules in the atmosphere, particles which react to form polymers, including polyimine that is able to absorb a considerable spectrum of light. Snatching all this light, polyimine could be a real catalyst for life, according to various researchers.
“Polyimine can exist as different structures, and they may be able to accomplish remarkable things at low temperatures, especially under Titan’s conditions,” said chemist Martin Rahm from Cornell University.
“We are used to our own conditions here on Earth. Our scientific experience is at room temperature and ambient conditions. Titan is a completely different beast,” he added.
With all these unusual features of Titan and the keen interest developed by NASA and the Europeans Space Station to furtherly explore the watery surface of this natural satellite, it’s likely that some form of extraterrestrial life has been spotted and seems within reach.
If they’ll find an advanced species of underwater inhabitants, or rather primordial lifeforms we can only speculate, but judging by the secrecy NASA has accustomed us to, and the unusual enthusiasm and energy directed towards Titan, is likely that something of extreme importance has already been discovered on the surface.

But despite serious attempts of disclosure, the government of the United States still maintains that they do not have knowledge of any information related to the Alien/UFO phenomenon.
However, many maintain that the reason why disclosure hasn’t happened yet isn’t because of the government. It’s very likely that such a subject might even go far beyond, extending into powerful corporations and a tight group of international elites.
Many governments around the globe have declassified a number of UFO-related documents which only proves that they have been extremely interested in the UFO phenomenon for years. However, not only have governments released classified information, agencies such as the FBI, NSA and CIA have also declassified some of their most secretive files on UFO’s and Alien life in the universe.

Op de site staat dat mens en dinosaurus samenleefden en dat sommige soorten bij de Zondvloed zijn meegevaren op de Ark van Noach. Er staan artikelen op met koppen als ‘Wat Freek je niet vertelt’, waarbij wordt verwezen naar presentator Freek Vonk, het boegbeeld van de plaatjes.
Draak
Gunnink stelt dat er genoeg bewijs is dat dino’s en mensen tegelijkertijd hebben geleefd: “Kijk naar draken, de beschrijvingen uit de middeleeuwen komen enorm overeen met het huidige beeld van dino’s. En dat terwijl er toen nog geen fossielen waren gevonden.”
Dino’s en mensen hebben in dezelfde tijd geleefd; door het lezen van de Bijbel is deze conclusie onvermijdelijk, vinden de initiatiefnemers.
Ontdekkingsreiziger Marco Polo zou een draak hebben gezien. Omdat het woord ‘dinosaurus’ pas in de 19e eeuw is bedacht, is dit volgens de initiatiefnemers een aanwijzing dat het wellicht om een dino gaat.
Koolstofdatering
Gunnink denkt dat dino’s als de Tyrannosaurus en Velociraptor zijn uitgestorven als gevolg van de steeds toenemende bevolking. “Evolutietheorie is nu eenmaal algemeen geaccepteerd binnen de maatschappij,” licht hij toe. “Dat betekent niet gelijk dat er geen ruimte is om er vraagtekens bij te plaatsen.”
In de Bijbel wordt niet over dino’s gesproken, maar volgens het Logos Instituut komt in het Bijbelboek Job wel de ‘Behemoth’ voor, een dier waarvan de beschrijving doet denken aan een dino met een lange nek. De standaardvertaling ‘nijlpaard’ of ‘olifant’ doet de tekst geweld aan, vindt het instituut.
Volgens het instituut is koolstofdatering onbetrouwbaar. “Ongeveer elke 5730 jaar vervalt de helft van de koolstof-14. Na 50.000 jaar is er te weinig over om te dateren. Toch wordt er koolstof-14 gevonden in dinobotten. Dat is opmerkelijk. In overblijfselen van een Tyrannosaurus zijn rode bloedcellen en zacht weefsel aangetroffen en in de hoorn van een Triceratops recent lijkende botcellen. Een ex-adviseur van de NASA beweert dat medewerkers van de Amerikaanse ruimtevaartorganisatie UFO’s uit maanfoto’s verwijderen voordat ze worden vrijgegeven. Dat schrijft de Britse Daily Express.
In 1971 werkte dr. Ken Johnston sr. in het Johnson Center van de NASA, waar hij foto’s van het Apolloprogramma en maanstenen moest opslaan en catalogiseren. Daar beweert hij te hebben gezien hoe foto-experts UFO’s en andere anomalieën wegpoetsten.
Volgens dr. Johnston zit er nogal een verschil tussen het oorspronkelijke beeldmateriaal en wat de NASA uiteindelijk publiekelijk beschikbaar heeft gemaakt. Hij claimt ook dat hooggeplaatste NASA-medewerkers hem opdracht gaven om vijf fotorolletjes van de maanmissies te vernietigen.

Hij zei dat de rolletjes beter aan universiteiten of onderzoekscentra gedoneerd konden worden, maar die suggestie was aan dovemansoren gericht. Johnston zegt een aantal beelden bewaard te hebben. Volgens hem tonen ze bewijs voor onverklaarbare objecten en zelfs gebouwen en structuren op de maan.

I found this long cylinder ship parked on the side of a hill on comet 67P, the singing comet. The front of the cylinder has a gap going along its front that looks like a thin, dark rectangular window in the cockpit area. The sunlight is reflecting off its surface as it would a metal surface. The coloration of this ship is nothing like its surrounds, therefore its not part of it. I took a close up of the UFO, then added light to it, and to my surprise I found a row of windows on the right and left side of the ship. This confirms it. Its an alien spacecraft. The show featured extraordinary film and still photographs of the UFO recovery, and also a portion of autopsy film on part of an alien body. The crash story follows a familiar pattern normally associated with this type of report. The fiery crash of an unknown object occurred in March 1969. Both still and moving pictures were taken of the craft, its retrieval, and the alien autopsy. The autopsy shows only an alien torso and arm. The footage at the crash site does seem to be authentic at least on several points. The truck in the film is a circa 1950 model ZIS151, which has not been used by the military for quite some time, and the truck would have been difficult to find to stage a hoax with. Other elements of the film do not exhibit any obvious signs of a hoax, as to the movement of the soldiers, the timing of the film as to shadows, and the UFO itself. There are also several documents shown to verify the event itself, and an eyewitness to the event who swears that the recovery mission did occur. The footage of the autopsy film shows personnel without caps and gowns, which seemed odd to me at first, but after some research I found that this was commonplace for that era in Russia. The furnishings in the room are acceptable, and in Russia have probably not changed much today. Three men in their 20's and 30's are performing the procedure, and one woman is taking notes. The note taker is identified as KGB stenographer O. A. Pshonikina. The alien's torso and arm are lying together on the table as the autopsy is performed, and there are documents shown to support the autopsy. Although the USA-Russia relationship is much improved over a few years ago, it still lacks. Any information received is subject to translation, and often times there are problems with interpretation. It is sad there is not more cooperation between the two countries. The case of the 1969 retrieval and autopsy are difficult to assess. Until more information is uncovered, it will remain unsubstantiated.

Chilling, alien-like sounds have been recorded coming from Jupiter, and they could be made by enormous creatures living in the planet’s atmosphere.
The sounds were picked up by NASA’s Juno spacecraft, set to enter Jupiter’s orbit today [July 4th], after a five-year journey through interplanetary space.
The space probe is set to stabilize in a polar orbit and beam back information about the planet’s atmospheric composition, magnetic field and weather phenomena. It will also search for clues that could shed light on Jupiter’s formation, so the scientific community is pretty stoked about Juno’s arrival.
On June 24, Juno crossed the boundary of Jupiter’s magnetic field and that’s when the WAVES instrument aboard the craft started picking up a series of fascinating radio signals that sound otherworldly when shifted down into the audible spectrum.
NASA astronomers say this thunderous barrage is caused by a phenomenon known as the astrophysical bow shock. It occurs as a result of the interaction between a celestial object’s magnetic field and the flowing plasma that makes up solar wind. Traveling at supersonic speeds, these charged particles are slowed down and heated by the magnetic field they encounter, giving rise to the eerie, otherworldly sounds.
As majestic an explanation as this is, we know not to accept what we’ve been told as the irrefutable truth. We have little information about what goes on beneath Jupiter’s swirling clouds, and most of it comes from the data collected by a titanium probe dropped from the Galileo spacecraft into the gas giant’s atmosphere in July 1995. It survived for 57 minutes before being crushed by the rising pressure.
We know that earthly carbon-based lifeforms cannot survive on Jupiter but that doesn’t eliminate the possibility for Jovian life to appear and even flourish. Exobiologists believe exotic lifeforms could exist in Jupiter’s thick, 5,000 mile-deep atmosphere, which is composed mainly of hydrogen, but also contains ammonia, methane and water. These are the very gasses that were used in the famous Miller-Urey experiment, the one that demonstrated how the basic building blocks of life could be produced by reactions between the gasses in a planet’s atmosphere.
The experiment was simple: water vapor was added to a flask containing hydrogen gas, methane and ammonia. Miller then passed an electric current through the mixture and, lo and behold, after just one week of zapping the gas, the contents of the flask already showed traces of organic molecules and amino acids, the precursors of life. Jupiter has the gasses and it also has the lightning storms to perform its own experiments.

A number of scientists and writers have hypothesized the emergence of life in Jupiter’s upper atmosphere, with the conditions on the planet leading to the evolution of bizarre, enormous creatures dubbed atmospheric beasts.
In the 1971 science fiction novella A Meeting with Medusa, writer and futurist Arthur C. Clarke explored the possibility of future explorations of the giant planet and speculated on the characteristics of the lifeforms that might inhabit it. Clarke theorized that, alongside microscopic air plankton, Jupiter could be called home by large, jellyfish-like creatures the size of a small city. Held afloat by hydrogen-filled compartments, these rightly-called beasts would feed on the microscopic ones like the filter-feeders swimming in Earth’s oceans.
Even distinguished space scientists like Carl Sagan admitted this could be a possibility. With that in mind, listen once more to the sounds recorded by the Juno spacecraft on June 25, right after it passed Jupiter’s magnetopause. No, that’s not what happens to magnet-women later in life, it’s the area surrounding a planet where its own magnetic field is stronger than that of star it’s orbiting. Basically the planet’s home turf.
Could these incredible sounds have been made by something other than Jupiter’s astrophysical processes—its inhabitants, perhaps? Uitgerekend op 4 juli verscheen boven Colombia een wolkenformatie die rechtstreeks uit de film Independence Day leek te komen. Lokale bewoners legden vast hoe de reusachtige wolk over de stad Cartagena dreef.
De reuzenwolk, die sterk doet denken aan het ruimteschip uit de hitfilm uit 1996 met Will Smith, leek van binnen licht te geven. Mensen maakten met hun mobieltjes een aantal indrukwekkende filmpjes en foto’s.
Een aantal Colombianen belde uit angst de politie. Ook onder complottheoretici wordt er druk gespeculeerd over de wolk. Zo vermoeden sommigen dat achter de wolk een enorme UFO verscholen zit. Anderen stellen dat het een heel normaal weerfenomeen is.
De meteorologische dienst van Colombia liet weten dat de cumuluswolk is ontstaan als gevolg van ‘een verandering van luchtdruk’. De wolk zou niet gerelateerd zijn aan tropische golven in het noordelijke deel van het land.
