Even in this age of free-flying conspiracy theories, this one's a doozy.
On Thursday (June 29), a guest on Alex Jones' radio show named Robert David Steele claimed that Mars is inhabited — by people sent to the Red Planet against their will.
"We actually believe that there is a colony on Mars that is populated by children who were kidnapped and sent into space on a 20-year ride, so that once they get to Mars, they have no alternative but to be slaves on the Mars colony," Steele told Jones, the founder of the controversial InfoWars website. It's unclear why this "ride" would last two decades; it takes just 6 to 9 months to reach Mars using current propulsion technology. Perhaps Steele believes that the kidnapped children return to Earth, as adults, 20 years after being spirited away?
Whatever the details may be, Jones seemed open to the possibility.
"Look, I know that 90 percent of the NASA missions are secret, and I've been told by high-level NASA engineers that you have no idea," Jones told Steele, who the show billed as a "CIA insider." "There is so much stuff going on."
Jones went on to add that "clearly, they don’t want us looking into what is happening; every time probes go over, they turn them off."
The Daily Beast did some due diligence on Steele's assertion, contacting NASA for a comment.
"There are no humans on Mars. There are active rovers on Mars. There was a rumor going around last week that there weren’t. There are," Guy Webster, a spokesman at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, who specializes in the agency's Mars-exploration activities, told The Daily Beast. "But there are no humans."
Alex Jones has supported and promulgated conspiracy theories in the past. He has claimed, for example, that the December 2012 massacre in Newtown, Connecticut — in which 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed 27 people, including 20 first-graders — was a hoax. Mars has proven to be fertile ground for conspiracy theorists over the years as well. There's the famous "face on Mars," of course. And more recently, UFO enthusiasts have claimed that NASA's Curiosity rover has captured images of a variety of Red Planet animals that resemble rats, lizards, squirrels and crabs.

Today is Asteroid Day, when colleges, museums and observatories across the globe are striving to raise awareness about the wonders and potential dangers of asteroids. From online broadcasts and lectures to hands-on activities, a number of events are happening worldwide.
Here is just a sampling:
The University of Arizona will host a weekend-long event with members of NASA's OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample-return team.
At Kennedy Space Center in Florida, former NASA astronaut Tom Jones will examine the potential dangers asteroids.
Imperial College London will utilize a 3D projection system to study astronomical images
The National Autonomous University of Honduras will present asteroid art and impact simulations.
At the Brockton Public Library in Massachusetts, there will even be asteroid cookies!
The first Asteroid Day kicked off in 2015, after astrophysicist Brian May, best known as a guitarist for the rock band Queen, introduced director Grigorij Richters to the B612 Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit advocacy agency with the goal of protecting Earth from asteroid impacts through early prevention. Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweickart and Danica Remy — founder and chief operations officer of B612, respectively — joined May and Richters as co-founders of Asteroid Day. "The more we learn about asteroid impacts, the clearer it became that the human race has been living on borrowed time," May noted on the official Asteroid Day website. "Asteroid Day would [be] the vehicle to garner public support to increase our knowledge of when asteroids might strike and how we can protect ourselves."
Every day, Earth is bombarded by tons of dust-size particles that burn up in the atmosphere. According to NASA, an automobile-size asteroid hits Earth's atmosphere about once a year, burning up before it reaches the ground. A larger object that would be capable of threatening the planet's civilizations collides with Earth once every few million years, the agency estimates.
To prepare for the risk of catastrophe, NASA has developed a Planetary Defense Coordination Office. Other space agencies have developed similar programs. On NASA's Planetary Defense FAQ, the agency writes that deflecting an asteroid would require changing its velocity by less than an inch per second years in advance of a potential collision. NASA is working to develop a so-called kinetic impactor, which would hit an asteroid slightly with an object to slow it, and a gravity tractor, which would put a large mass near an asteroid whose gravity would tug at it enough to change its path.
Both systems would require knowledge of an asteroid's deadly trajectory years in advance. "An asteroid on a trajectory to impact Earth could not be shot down in the last few minutes, or even hours, before impact," NASA officials wrote in the FAQ. "No known weapon system could stop the mass because of the velocity at which it travels — an average of 12 miles per second [19 kilometers per second]."
Because changing the course of a deadly asteroid requires advance notice, stopping a disastrous collision requires spotting the threat early on. International Asteroid Day was established to raise public awareness of the potential danger and how to avoid it.
"Early warning is the essential ingredient of planetary defense," Schweickart said.
Another way to prevent collisions is for scientists to gain a better understanding of the properties of asteroids and how they move. In 2016, NASA launched the Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) mission to the asteroid Bennu. Set to arrive in August 2018, the spacecraft will orbit the asteroid, studying it for two years before scooping up a sample of dust and pebbles that will return to Earth in 2023. While it will be NASA's first asteroid sampling mission, it won't be the world's first; Japan's Hayabusa mission returned an asteroid sample to Earth in 2010.
Together, these initiatives should help scientists and engineers prepare for potential dangers from asteroids. You can prepare by attending one of the many Asteroid Day events, found on the website here. But don't despair if you can't attend. After years of hunting, digging through the code and searching every inch of the game, GTA V fans have finally found life from beyond the stars. And because this is GTA, of course the discovery is tied to digital theft and murder.
A few weeks back, the Gunrunning Update added some new weapons, vehicles and massive underground bunkers to GTA Online. Buried deep in the new update were a series of files and code that seemed to hint at an alien UFO crashing just outside the Zancudo military base. Players were excited at the prospect of figuring out a long-standing mystery involving an alien egg, which was tied to the suspected event.
Members of Team Guru, a GTA V modding and mystery hunting group, spent weeks digging and searching for a way to activate these bits of alien coding. After many sleepless nights, they used a tool created by Guru member Polivilas to switch in-game variables until they were able to activate an alien supply mission by force:
Until GTA Online updates and this mission activates properly, we have no idea if this is the final version of the event, or if it will ever be put into the game officially. But this is conclusive evidence that Rockstar was indeed doing something recently with the idea of aliens crashing in GTA Online.
The actual mission is a bit underwhelming. Players are told to head to a location and steal some supplies—that’s where the alien egg comes in. When they arrive, they find a large UFO crashed in the swamp and dead scientists and soldiers. Once players have the alien egg, a small group of extraterrestrials spawns in and the player has to kill them. As missions go, it’s not incredibly exciting or different. But after years of searching it’s cool to finally see the theorizing and hard work materialize into something concrete.
While some players are happy that aliens were found, others are disappointed. Many mystery hunters wanted a big single-player easter egg or reward that could justify years of searching. Some are actually hopeful this new alien mission is just the start of something bigger, perhaps eventually involving the long sought-after jetpack.
For now, at least the citizens of Los Santos know they aren’t alone in the universe. And that these alien beings aren’t bulletproof.

It's shiny. It’s sharp. It’s on Mars. It must be aliens! What appears to be a chunk of metal photographed by the Opportunity Rover has UFO buffs in a spin.
The high contrast infra-red image, published by the Mars Exploratino Rover Mission (Opportunity: Panoramic Camera: Sol 348) was uploaded by the Opportunity Rover on March 17.
It shows an unusually shiny, and jagged, object sitting neatly on top of the grainy surface of Mars’ Meridiani Planum.
But at least in this case the resolution is reasonably crisp. Not a blurry morass like most UFO ‘evidence’.
“Looks like light glimmering off of a genuine spaceship on an alien planet in outer space,” one commentator noted.
But, for that to be true, there’s the small matter of scale. At that distance from the Opportunity Rover, any inhabitants would probably have to be no larger than ants.
A more down to Earth (though admittedly this is Mars we’re talking about here) suggestion was that it could be a piece of debris from the rover itself, or a heat shield from the craft that delivered it.
Earthly trash is increasingly common on the Red Planet, especially after a string of mission failures in recent decades. Satellites have gone awry. Landers have crashed.
But even successful projects litter the landscape with debris as they plough through the thin atmosphere.
Looking for a lone signal from some far-flung alien civilization is one thing --- looking for its handiwork on galactic scales is quite another. But a handful of astronomers are still hopeful that if hyper-advanced extraterrestrial civilizations can survive through cosmic time, they might choose to macro-engineer whole galaxies in ways that would be detectable in the electromagnetic spectrum.
“If a civilization has engineered half a galaxy, some fraction of the energy being used should glow in the infrared,” James Annis, an astrophysicist at Fermilab, told me. Annis and colleagues conducted the first such search for KIII civilizations in 1999.
Stars are bright in the optical, and any civilization that uses or engineers the stars will eliminate starlight or change its natural appearance, says Annis.

“We assume that the majority of visible galaxies are natural,” said Annis. “So, we look for galaxies that are different from the majority. Usually this is easily explained as an ongoing galaxy merger.”
In 1964, Soviet physicist Nicolai Kardashev first put forth the idea that an extraterrestrial civilization’s level of technological advancement could be divided into three tiers --- from KI to KIII. We would qualify as a few decades away from being a KI civilization. That is, a civilization capable of harnessing all of its star’s incoming solar radiation. A KII civilization would be capable of directly harnessing its parent star’s energy, usually via a mechanism such as a Dyson’s sphere.
Such hypothetical artificial spheres were put forth by physicist Freeman Dyson as a means for completely encompassing and capturing all of a given star’s energy. Thus, such spheres would mostly be detectable via their waste heat leaking into the infrared spectrum. A full-scale KIII civilization would be capable of directly harnessing all the energy in their host galaxy or galaxies. They might possibly use billions of such Dyson spheres --- or some other means of harnessing their galaxy’s energy that would be impossible for us to even imagine.

If the radiated starlight of the entire galaxy is collected, in the optical spectrum it will look abnormally dark, but will emit waste power in the thermal infrared, Brian Lacki, an astronomer at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, told me.
In a recent paper, Lacki used data from the European Space Agency’s Planck spacecraft to look for microwave sources with a spectrum expected of waste heat. Lacki says he calculated that a very cold KIII structure that shrouded a grand spiral galaxy like the Milky Way would be detectable out to about 2 billion light years.
“If a galaxy had many of its stars [surrounded by] swarms of giant structures, you would expect it to appear dimmer,” Jason Wright, an astronomer at Penn State University, told me. “At mid-infrared wavelengths, we would expect to see all that blocked light.”
A couple of years back, Wright and colleagues searched for excess thermal emission from 100,000 galaxies in the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) all-sky source catalog.
“We did not find any, but our sensitivity was very low, and we hope to do more sensitive searches in the future,” Wright told me.
In a separate search, Lacki also looked for very cold structures that would cloak entire galaxies.
We would then see a bubble hundreds of millions of light years wide, he says, where all the galaxies are invisible in the optical, but shine in the infrared or microwave spectrums.
“We don't see such bubbles, so they must be very, very rare,” said Lacki.
On the other hand, Lacki says if aliens chose to simply rearrange their galaxy’s stars instead of shroud them, such galaxies would have bizarre shapes. However, such macroengineering projects might also involve rearranging the stars in a given galaxy.
Hoag’s Object, classified as a peculiar ring galaxy some 600 million light years away in the constellation of Serpens has been proposed by some as being a potential macro-engineering project. Yet Annis says that it’s more like simply the merger of two galaxies.
The Galaxy Zoo Project, Lacki notes, also had volunteers classify nearly a million galaxies, all of which seemed to be natural.
It’s hard to fathom what would motivate such civilizations to conduct what by Annis’ estimate would be a 100 million-year project.
But Lacki says they might use such collected energy to power computation on unimaginable scales. Or even for hyper-advance particle physics experiments.
To experiment with physics on its most fundamental (Planck) scale, Lacki says one has to build a particle accelerator as bright as a galaxy, using energies at the yotta electron volt (YeV) level. That’s about 100 billion times the Giga electron volt (GeV) energies achieved at the CERN’s Large Hadron Collider outside Geneva, which is currently humanity's highest-energy particle accelerator.
However, in a recent paper published on the online astrophysical site ArXiv, Lacki was able to show that these galactic accelerators are fairly rare.
What’s needed to further the search for such exo-technology?
More data mining of a variety of astronomy surveys, and searches for anomalies and transient, short-term sources, says Dan Werthimer, an astronomer at the University of California at Berkeley, told me. He notes that the idea is to look for glitches in astronomical data from existing and future sky surveys.
When most people think about searching for extraterrestrial intelligences, they imagine someone like Ellie Arroway searching the skies for radio transmissions. But what about looking in other ways? Perhaps a highly advanced alien civilisation might build structures large enough for us to see.
Over many trillions of years, Lacki says there may be no choice but to become a KIII civilization. As the expansion of the universe continues to accelerate, Lacki says most galaxies will lose contact with each other and the gas between galaxies will dilute away.
Thus, if a galactic society wants to prepare for the deep future, Lacki says, it might build up a reserve of galactic molecular gas. That way, the civilization could ensure that its galaxy had a steady and wide-ranging supply of stars that would continually generate metals and other elements that can’t be made artificially.
“Societies that learn to work on galactic scales may be the only ones left trillions of years from now,” said Lacki.

A little after 11 a.m. on Sept. 10, 1951, a U.S. Army radar station at Fort Monmouth detected an unknown, low-altitude target. The signal corps operator and an Army officer in the radar clocked the target with an approximate speed of about 700 miles per hour. The tracking station lost contact with the high-speed target as it neared New York City.
The radar tracking event resulted in a great deal of interest, as well as somber military trepidations. For in that era, military jets didn’t fly anywhere near 700 miles per hour. While there were test aircrafts that had brief periods of that sort of speed performance, nothing the military had could fly and maintain that speed.
This incident resulted in the Air Force being severely criticized by the other branches of the military. At issue was the Air Force’s dismal handling of investigations related to a potential threat to national security, namely UFOs.
In a knee-jerk reaction to the threat to national security criticism, the Air Force appointed intelligence officer Captain Edward Ruppelt to assume command of the UFO investigation project. The effort was renamed “Project Blue Book.”
Captain Ruppelt took his new task seriously and put great effort into reorganizing and streamlining the internal reporting processes. In the spring of 1952, under Captain Ruppelt’s guiding hand, intelligence officers at all U.S. airbases were given clearance to file UFO reports to Project Blue Book via normal military communication channels.
This improved reporting system turned out to be fortuitous in the July 1952, when the “Great Washington, D.C. UFO Flap” occurred. From July 12-29, Washington, D.C. was inundated with UFO sightings. They flew individually and in formations right over the Capitol.
Air traffic radar controllers at the Washington National Airport tracked distinctive blips on their radar screens over several consecutive weekends.
The nearest Air Force facility was Andrews Air Force Base, but its runways were under repair. The nearest airbase that could respond was a base in New Castle, Delaware. F-94 jets were scrambled to intercept the lights in the sky and the blips on radar.
When the fighters got into D.C. air space, the bright UFO lights had “winked out,” and the pilots reported they didn’t see anything. Of course, after they left the D.C. air space, the UFOs came back and again appeared on National Airport’s radar screens.
On another UFO sighting occasion, scrambled fighter jets chased the elusive lights. Air Force pilot William Patterson told investigators during a debriefing, “I was at my maximum speed, but ... I ceased chasing them because I saw no chance of overtaking them.”
Naturally the press had a field day with the news. The Washington Post headline read: ‘Saucer’ Outran Jet, Pilot Says; Air Force Puts Lid on Inquiry.
Another newspaper in D.C. at that time, the Washington Daily News, commented on the Air Force’s lame explanations for the UFO sightings: “Recent attempts to explain ‘saucers’ as optical illusions have been shaken by recent radar sightings. Illusions don’t show up on a radar screen.”

TONY Waldron was relaxing on his boat when he accidentally captured the latest out-of-this-world visitor to the NT.
The smaller disc-like shape just to the left of the bright moon is the object in question.
Mr Waldron captured the object while taking a photo of the night sky because it looked interesting due to the clouds and smoke illuminated by the full moon. He took the photo from his boat in Bayview earlier this month and didn’t take too much notice of it at the time. It wasn’t until a few days later he realised he had captured something out of this world. “It was like ‘oh what’s that thing,’ and I had a closer look,” he said.
“It doesn’t look like something on the lens because of the reflection of the moon and the clouds are sort of in front of it.” His only explanation was that it could be a weather balloon, but he wasn’t convinced on that idea.
While he isn’t a extraterrestrial fanatic he hasn’t ruled their existence out.
“I don’t disbelieve. It’s hard to think that we’re the only ones in the universe,” he said.
And if there are aliens, it’s not hard to imagine them choosing to visit the Territory during the Dry.
It’s not hard to believe that NASA isn’t telling us everything about what goes on in space or that it may already know of the existence of other life forms but is covering it up. It’s a stretch to believe that NASA staged the moon landings in a studio and is currently doing the same out in some desert for the Martian rovers. However, it’s incredulous to consider a claim that for at least 20 years the agency has been kidnapping children and sending them to Mars to work in slave camps. What’s even more unbelievable is that NASA felt it had to publicly deny this accusation after it was made on the home of unbelievable claims … Alex Jones’ InfoWars.

Guy Webster, a spokesperson for Mars exploration at NASA, was compelled to immediately speak to the Daily Beast, a media company that’s part of Newsweek, to officially deny a slew of incredible and offensive claims made on InfoWars by Robert David Steele, an alleged CIA operative, an activist for open-source intelligence and a presidential candidate for both the Reform Party and the Libertarian Party – he didn’t get either nomination. However, that didn’t stop Jones from booking him on the show to make statements like this:
“We actually believe that there is a colony on Mars that is populated by children who were kidnapped and sent into space on a 20-year ride. So that once they get to Mars they have no alternative but to be slaves on the Mars colony.”
Really? If NASA has the ability to cover up something like that, the CIA should be using NASA scientists as operatives instead of people like this guy. While he correctly points out that video feeds from rovers and the ISS seem to cut away just as the cameras are approaching something unusual, his commentary deteriorates into the depths of depravity with these accusations:
“It goes straight into terrorizing them to adrenalize their blood and then murdering them. It also includes murdering them so that they can have their bone marrow harvested as well as body parts.”
Sadly, this show and its host apparently command such an audience that NASA, rather than shaking its collective heads and walking away, felt it had no choice but to respond to these claims with vehement denials.
Yes, there are cover-ups. Yes, there are top secret files. But a story about sending kidnapped children to slave camps on another planet for the purpose of harvesting their bone marrow is horror porn, not news. The news is that we’ve sunk so low that this moved a government agency to actually address it.

Als er ergens een plek was waar je een gecrashte Duitse vliegende schotel zou verwachten, dan is het wel op Antarctica.
Een onderzoeker heeft een object ontdekt dat nog voor een deel onder het ijs ligt, maar wel verdacht veel lijkt op de bekende Duitse Haunebu schotel.
Soms vinden mensen die gebruikmaken van programma’s zoals Google Earth hele interessante zaken.
De eigenaar van een website die zich specialiseert in UFO’s en gerelateerde zaken, vond via Google Earth een vreemd object op de helling van een berg op King George Island, net voor de kust van Antarctica.
Dit eiland ligt als het ware tussen Antarctica en het meest zuidelijke puntje van Zuid Amerika.
En daar op die helling ligt het volgende object:
Dit object lijkt veel op een UFO en het vreemde is dat dit object niet voor komt op de afbeeldingen van Google in 2004, maar wel in 2005.
Het object heeft een diameter van ongeveer 16 en een hoogte van 3 meter, waarbij er vanuit wordt gegaan dat het grootste deel zich nog steeds onder het ijs bevindt.
Wanneer je er vanuit gaat dat het hier inderdaad een UFO betreft en je vergelijkt die met de modellen zoals de Duitsers die hadden in de Tweede Wereldoorlog, dan ontdekt je dat er veel overeenkomsten bestaan met het type zoals de Haunebu.
Deze had, net zoals de meeste Duitse UFO’s, ramen in het bovenste gedeelte.
Is het daarom misschien mogelijk dat we hier te maken hebben met een neergestort Duits toestel? Een die misschien nog tot ver na de Tweede Wereldoorlog is gebruikt en nu vanwege het smeltende ijs langzaam zichtbaar begint te worden?
Wie zelf dit object wil bekijken op Google Earth of Maps, kan dit doen via de volgende coördinaten: 61°57'51.64"S 58° 3'42.73"W
Eerder dit jaar zagen we ook al een prachtig voorbeeld van dit type UFO, maar dan nog steeds vliegend en boven een Mexicaanse vulkaan.
Via een lezer (dank!) ontvingen wij een prachtige opname van een klassieke retro UFO bij één van de Mexicaanse vulkanen. Dit beeld is al wat ouder, maar hij laat heel goed de vorm zien van wat wij de klassieke of retro vliegende schotel noemen.
Dit ontwerp UFO wordt ook veelvuldig in verband gebracht met de Duitse varianten aan het einde en na de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Eén van hun meest bekende ontwerpen, de Haunebu, zag er als volgt uit:
Just short of Fourth of July, which is only a few days away, man-made auroras have been spread across the skies, causing much amazement along the east coast and parts of Virginia.
This amazing display of auroras, a rare sight, was due to a long-delayed launch of the terrier-improved Malemute rocket which had encountered many obstacles just before its launch, having been delayed an astonishing ten times before it finally launched just before Independence Day.
The rocket was launched to just above 100 miles above Earth, where the rocket discharged small canisters containing colorful chemicals that burst in the atmosphere to create an artificial aurora. However, that was not the main point of the experiment.
NASA’S ‘FAKE SPACE CLOUDS’ LOOK SUSPICIOUSLY LIKE A FLEET OF UFOS
NASA was actually researching on a deeper purpose and meaning: getting a better understanding of our Earth's atmosphere, vital to life on Earth and the health of the people and animals living on Earth. The second main point is to test equipment which will be used to study the auroras over Norway, an anomaly in our atmosphere that is vital for us as a species to understand it, such that we will be able to know how mother nature truly works, and the wonders it can do.
NASA has always ventured further, and above much of what humanity can truly do, in the vastness of our skies and beyond. Now, we can only hope that experiments are continued such that it can help our environment - and preserve it better.
Sadly, some parts of the east coast were robbed of the wonderful display as overcast skies blocked the view of the aurora. Let us hope that more chances will arise that will allow this spectacular view.

These incredible pictures show Nasa’s fake clouds that lit up the sky over the US this morning.

The space agency launched a Malemute sounding rocket from its Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia in the early hours of the morning.
During the eight-minute flight, ten canisters about the size of a soft drink can were shot into space.
The canisters spewed out blue-green and red vapour that formed artificial clouds which were visible from New York to North Carolina.
The fake clouds create a sky-high portrait of the movements in aurora winds – so scientists can better understand how a phenomenon like the Northern Lights affects Earth.
There were more than 2,000 reports and photos of the cloud sightings after its launch at 4.24am ET.
Scientists at the flight centre breathed a sigh of relief after the rocket was delayed several times over the past month, soared to 188 miles into the sky.

These fluctuations could make the Earth more vulnerable to devastating solar blasts and cancer-causing cosmic rays, according to researchers at the University of Reading.
The phenomenal light is one of Iceland’s biggest selling points, but the very north of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland get treated to a display every now and again.

Ministry of Defence dossier reveals a terrifying UFO encounter that took place 35,000 feet above the Mediterranean

A TERRIFYING Cold War near miss witnessed by an entire crew of a US Air Force spy plane has been laid bare in a UFO dossier.
The once top secret file was released by the Ministry of Defence last week, along with several other declassified documents.

They include the gripping account of an unexplained incident on 19 October 1982 when a USAF RC-135 plane snooping on Soviet military activity was buzzed by “a big object” over the Med.
British troops stationed at RAF Troodos – a base on Cyprus – listened in as the American crew called for help as a UFO cloaked in “a multitude of flashing lights, 20 at a time” zoned in.
During the 90 minute incident, two US Navy F-14 fighters were scrambled and an RAF Phantom was diverted from a flying exercise to tail the intruder spotted on the south of the island.
As the three jets approached the American crew watched the UFO turn away and head toward the African coast, but nothing was seen by the fighter pilots.
An investigation was opened into the bizarre sighting and sent to the US defence bods, documents show.
Radar film, tapes and transcripts of the distress call were also analysed by intelligence officers – but removed from the files.

An RAF worker puts forward a suggestion, writing: “We have a strong suspicion that the “UFO” was a mirage effect from lights on the coast of Israel or Lebanon”.
But the results of the joint US and UK investigation do not appear in the file.
Dr David Clarke of Sheffield Hallam University's department of journalism, said the incident was "a fascinating and puzzling encounter that was obviously taken very seriously by the US and UK military authorities".

The Ministry of Defence previously claimed that several of the files had been stored in a building contaminated with asbestos and could never be made available to the public over health and safety fears.
But following the insistence of the general public and the help of the likes of Dr Clarke, some of the files were eventually released in 2009 and 2013 can be found online.
Of these, 18 were withheld – sparking conspiracy theories that the government was holding something back.
But last week the MoD quietly made all but three of these missing files available.

Dr Clarke said that the disclosure prompted as many questions as it answered.
He said: "like many of the more puzzling UFO incidents in the MoD files, mystery surrounds what happened to the evidence.
"Once again, we have a few tantalising pieces of paper but nothing else.
"Where is the recording and transcript of the tape and where are the images from the radar film, referred to in the file?
"I suspect they have been destroyed like many of the other records of these puzzling incidents.
"Not because they were trying to hide evidence of ET visitors but because they did not put any value on UFO records.
"If something was not of Soviet origin but could not be explained, then best ignore it and shred the evidence.

"Unfortunately by adopting this policy the MoD have created a stick for conspiracy theorists to beat them with."
The files are filled with mysterious eyewitness accounts as well as questionable doodles sent in from the general public, including depictions of fidget-spinner style spacecraft and flying saucers drawn by schoolkids.

PARANORMAL investigators claim to have rumbled a top-secret Ministry of Defence (MoD) alien research centre hidden deep underground in a UFO hotspot.
The British Earth and Aerial Mysteries Society (BEAMS) has released a bizarre 109-page report, following a “special investigation” into the former MoD Defence Evaluation and Research Agency site now run by specialist defence, security and aerospace developer Qinetiq.BEAMS claims Farnborough has had high UFO sighting and alien abduction activity for years and thinks this might be connected to the alleged secret base. The group is convinced there is as much underground as above and what goes on there involves aliens, UFOs, intergalactic defence and futuristic flight development.Their bizarre theory is based upon cryptic alien symbols they have “discovered” within the site, alleged intelligence service whistleblower testimonies, and the responses from psychic researchers, the report claims.
The BEAMS website says it was set up in 1991 as as a non profit-making studies group into the paranormal.
It said: “We have set up a network of active investigators who relay their gathered information through to our HQ.
“As reporters of the truth, duties of the BEAMS Team include research, interviewing, photography and journalism.”

Two of its key researchers, chairman Kenneth Parsons and his “alien abductee” partner Hilary Porter, carried out the “inquiry” and said evidence of the underground areas came from government whistleblowers.But they said the smoking gun evidence for the secret base were cryptic signs in the building and on site.The couple concluded that part of the site’s road system has been made to look like an alien being depicted in ancient Aboriginal paintings in Australia, as a sign of the base’s significance.On top of this they said part of the building has been made to look like a flying saucer.The report said: “As with the top-secret Area 51 in Nevada, and how that officially did “not exist” for decades…if what we are about to expose ‘does not exist’ either (as it is bound to be claimed), then our Government/military have absolutely nothing to fear from us talking about it – do they?”
The pair claimed the Qinetiq site was the biggest of three secret underground facilities, also in the UK, including two other suspected ones.

Their report said Government whistleblowers had revealed: “Officers at Chicksands regularly simulated possible outcomes of nuclear war with their counterparts operating from an underground command centre beneath Qinetiq in Farnborough.“One source (who holds a sensitive government post) says that he knows several people currently employed at British underground facilities where acquired alien technology and genetics programmes are being carried out.”The couple said the Cody technology park was also under tight security with armed guards and secret cameras.But the clincher, in their opinion, was the roundabout system near the main building.
Referring to an aerial slide of the roadways on site, which highlighted this roundabout, the report said: “We suggest that this is a stylised, diagrammatic representation of a grey/reptilian figure – just like the Aboriginal supreme creator paintings attempted to portray – which is only visible like this from the air.”
Posing the question “why was it there?”, the report said: “Why incorporate a massive image of an alien, or supreme creator within a top secret subterranean military site – somewhere so sensitive that it is virtually our own British equivalent of the Area 51 complex in Nevada.”
They surmised that the powers behind the site were confident the public would never see through their cryptic code, but “those” who needed to would recognise it instantly.
Besides, if the roundabout did not do the trick, there was more.
The couple concluded the roof and canopy of the main building had purposely been designed in the shape of a flying saucer just to hammer home the purpose of the secret base to those in the know.
They said the existence of the “underground” parts of the site described by “sources” were further proved by Qinetiq’s involvement in mining coupled with a strange rumbling noise they allegedly heard a cross Farnborough over the last 15 years, which they deduced was it being secretly expanded.

Three so-called psychic remote viewers given the name of the site, but no more details, as part of the research, also came back with descriptions of a highly technological and disturbing underground base, they claimed.Not convinced? Neither are some other UFO investigators.Nigel Watson, author of the UFOs: The Nazi Connection, said: “It sounds like they are trying to bring a lot of separate things to make (something) whole.”
But he added that “the idea” of alien or flying saucer bases being underground was “nothing new”, dating back to at least 1962, when Albert Bender, founder of the International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB) in Bridgeport, Connecticut, claimed that alien beings took him to an underground HQ in Antarctica.
He said: “Sceptics think such stories are the product of malicious disinformation or fantasies, yet that doesn’t stop people believing in their existence. Perhaps if we all go under that flying saucer ‘shelter’ we might all believe.”
An MoD spokesman said: “We do not comment on UFO matters.”
Express.co.uk contacted Qinetiq to comment on the strange suggestions and awaits a further response.
A spokesman said: “We’re taking a look at the very detailed dossier and working on a response.”

1. The Original Night Stalker

The Original Night Stalker killed 10 people across southern California from the 70s to 80s. He mostly targeted couples, in which he forced the women to tie up their partner before shooting them. He was never caught.
2. The Max Headroom Signal Intrusion
On November 22, 1987, someone dressed in a Max Headroom mask hijacked two TV stations while moaning, laughing, and screaming. They were never caught, but reddit user bpaog claims to know who was behind it.
3. Capgras Delusion

The Capgras delusion “is a disorder in which a person holds a delusion that a friend, spouse, parent or other close family member (or pet) has been replaced by an identical-looking impostor.” There was even a case of a 74-year-old woman that believed her husband “had been replaced by another unrelated man.” She wouldn’t sleep with him and “asked her son for a gun.”
4. The Murder of the Dupont de Ligonneses

Agnes Dupont de Ligonnes and her four children were found murdered in 2011. Investigators believe that they were killed between April 3-4, but neighbors are sure that they saw Agnes days after that. Agnes’ husband, Xavier, is the main suspect in the case, but has yet to be caught.

Unit 731 was a “covert biological and chemical warfare research and development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army” which was infamous for doing experiments on humans. The European Space Agency’s Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission will be launched in 2034 and will study gravitational waves in more depth. Just last year, astronomers declared they had spotted two gravitational waves – or ripples in space - for the first time, validating Albert Einstein’s 100 year old theory. The consequence of the discovery has been enormous, with it opening up many diverse realms in the world of physics.
Since the first discovery, two more gravitational waves have been found, and researchers are looking to discover more. The LISA mission will let researchers to sense gravitational waves on the edge of the observable universe and ultimately open a world of information that physicists are uncertain of. ESA's director of science, Alvaro Giménez Cañete,told the BBC: "We have no idea what we will discover, but perhaps we can get closer to the line that divides gravity from quantum physics. This may take us there.” LISA consist of three satellites that will be placed in a triangle formation and separated by 1.6 million miles. The trio system of satellites will beam lasers to each other which will help to sense the waves in the fabric of space-time.
Moreover, as gravity is expected to be the only consistent across all 11 theoretical dimensions, gravitational waves could ultimately aid researchers to detect parallel universes. Gustavo Lucena Gomez, who is leading a study into extra dimensions at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam, Germany, told New Scientist: “If there are extra dimensions in the universe, then gravitational waves can walk along any dimension, even the extra dimensions.” Dr Emilian Dudas, from the Ecole Polytechnique in France, added: “Extra dimensions have been discussed for a long time from different points of view.
“Gravitational waves could be a new twist on looking for extra dimensions.”
Dr. Steven Greer, a former emergency room doctor in the US, who gave it all up to try to expose the truth about aliens and UFOs, made another interview denouncing corrupt world leaders who are sitting on “alien technology” which could provide cost free renewable energy to the world.
He claims the existence of the world-saving technology is suppressed to allow business moguls to cash in on the oil and fossil fuel industries until they run out. However, he is fighting to get thetruth embargo lifted.
He is a leading voice in the disclosure movement worldwide.
He said:
“If along with the disclosure of intelligent life, you’re going to have the most disruptive technology in all of history come out… this becomes a big macro-economic issue and that is what the secrecy is partially rooted in.
“I began to realise that there were people inside government that know about these projects and there are people inside who do not know, and it has nothing to do with your rank, it doesn’t matter if you are the president.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re the CIA director. It only matters if the bureaucracy feels like you are going to go along with the agenda and keeping this secret.”
His theory is that if “alternative energy” produced by aliens is ever utilised, trillions of dollars invested in oil, gas, and other public utilities will be worthless.
He said major energy companies would be wiped out.
It is also suggested the world capitalist system would collapse if people were able to generate power and electricity for free.
Scientists have invented viable technologies to create free energy, including perpetual motion machines and cold fusion generators. Some of them are recruited by the governments, but most of them are assassinated by the secret services:
“Equipment does exist which can extract useable power from unconventional energy reservoirs, such as the quantum vacuum zero point energy, for little or no cost, but that anyone trying to progress the systems has been silenced or even killed before the power sources were launched.”
Other claims are that some free energy systems could also be used as an electromagnetic weapon and the US is terrified of this information getting into the wrong hands.
Gary Vesperman, of another free energy organisation, The Orion Project, said: “Many such new energy technologies, particularly those using this kind of knowledge of advanced electromagnetic principles, are considered ‘dual use’ technologies that are among the 4,000 un-numbered patent
applications confiscated in a vault at the US Patent and Trademark Office because of their military potential and the need to keep that knowledge from America’s enemies.”
Dr Greer says on his website he plans to open the Star LLC New Energy Research Lab, if he can raise $6.3million.
But, so far he has pulled in just $241,000 since 2014.
He says on the website:
“In order to research, develop and bring to the public a practical, working zero point energy system, we need a professionally staffed facility composed of the best engineers, physicists and researchers in the world.
“We estimate that this can be done over a two year period at a nominal cost of $6.3 million for the initial research and development portion of the project.
“In order to provide the security, support and synergism needed to develop the best possible new energy system we need a well-equipped lab and research facility.
“The laboratory cannot be opened until the full amount has been raised.”
So which are the countries who are most likely hiding that free technology from us and killing scientists? Well, here’s a little indication:

It appears that the US government could soon crack and admit it has secretly been hiding evidence of alien visitations of Earth for the last 70 years, it has astonishingly been claimed – but at what price will those involved with the build up to disclosure pay?
The build up to disclosure appears to be intensifying, what with evidence now being published by leading scientists and researchers, some of which work for NASA.
The Paradigm Research Group (PRG), which campaigns to bring an end to an alleged “truth embargo” to keep the truth from the globe, believes there will soon be no going back for government insiders.

Steve Bassett, executive director of the group is the only registered lobbyist in the US on the issue of alien disclosure. Many believe that he is potentially going to be the man who manages to officially uncover the truth about the ET’s and has potentially been in contact with Alien races what with his CE-5 ‘alien calling’ initiative (please click HERE for more!).
Steve is convinced that the shocking secret has been withheld amid fears of the impact it would have on religion and the rule of law since a flying saucer allegedly crashed in the New Mexico desert outside Roswell in 1947. Lets not forget what happened to the native Americans when their country was first discovered!
Mr Bassett is now seeking $50,000 to help fund the campaign to pressurise the White House to roll over and say “yes, we’ve deceived you for the last 70 years.”
He has launched an End The Truth Embargo fundraising page on gofundme.com.
Mr Bassett says on the page:
“This funding effort is in service to every citizen of every nation now convinced the world should not wait one more day for confirmation we are not alone is this universe.
“For 70 years this truth has been embargoed by your government.
“After 20 years of engagement of the issue, I know this embargo can end soon with your help.”
He believes that the money will be used to set up a permanent office in Washington DC for PRG to “keep the pressure on the media to engage the politics of disclosure throughout 2017.”
Mr Bassett said the cash would also all PRG to:
“Seek professional speaker representation, make contact with officials in European countries, develop video media for use in the disclosure advocacy movement, built up the Exopolitics World Network and United States Network, and consolidate, redesign and update PRG’s many websites and Facebook pages.”

PRG was bouyed on May 28 when during an interview on CBS 60 Minutes billionaire space engineer, Robert Bigelow, remarkably revealed he believed there is an “extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.”
Mr Bassett said:
“He spoke truth to power. He stated unequivocally there is an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race. When asked if he was concerned what people might think of that statement, he replied, ‘I don’t give a damn.’
“PRG salutes Mr Bigelow and asks, ‘Who will join him?’
“This funding campaign will ensure PRG can adjust to new strategies to ultimately bring the White House and the Pentagon to the table to work out the necessary understanding allowing disclosure.”
The funding campaign is being conducted in conjunction with Coast to Coast AM with George Noory – described as “the most listened to late night talk program in America.” Coast to Coast AM has for the past 25 years provided a platform for researchers, activists, “alien contactees”, and other UFO witnesses – Hopefully soon U.I.P will be doing a live interview with them!

Unfortunately, many sceptics and wannabe debunkers, argue that Mr Bassett and Dr Greer are simply conspiracy theorists, who have got it wrong, and no aliens have ever visited Earth.
Astrophysicist elite PUPPET, Neil DeGrasse-Tyson has dismissed the whole UFO/alien truth seeker community as having no credible evidence, even though he has not ONCE sat with anybody who has ever witnessed a UFO or has disclosed inside information!?
People like self-proclaimed ‘top’ astrophysicist Mr DeGrasse-Tyson believe that anyone who donated to the fund would be wasting their hard-earned money, as apparently there is “simply nothing to disclose as no aliens have ever been here” – the question we would like to ask Neil is HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? UFO Files exclusive: Cold War spyplane incident
The release by Britain’s Ministry of Defence of 15 of its last remaining UFO files at the UK’s National Archives has revealed details of a stunning Cold War close encounter witnessed by the entire crew of a US Air Force spy-plane.

Formerly secret RAF files opened at The National Archives include a detailed account of an incident on 19 October 1982 when a USAF RC-135 plane, monitoring Soviet military activity, was buzzed by ‘a big object’ over the Eastern Mediterranean.
According to the files, British personnel at RAF Troodos, a remote base on the island of Cyprus listened in amazement to the radio calls of the American crew as the encounter unfolded at 35,000 feet above the sea.
The UFO – – described as covered in ‘a multitude of flashing lights 20 at a time’ – was picked up on the spylane’s radar as it approached from the south.
It then circled around the plane, call-sign Beano 73 – and closed in as the navigator appealed for help from the ground.
Two US Navy F-14 fighters were scrambled from an aircraft carrier and a RAF Phantom was diverted from a night flying exercise to intercept the UFO, south of the island of Cyprus.
As the three interceptors approached the USAF crew saw the UFO depart towards the African coast. Nothing was seen by the fighter pilots.
The files reveal how RAF personnel at the Troodos radar station monitored the entire incident for a period of 90 minutes, beginning shortly after 4pm local time.

But nothing was seen by British air defence stations – ‘nor was it seen on any ground or seaborne radar, including at 280 SU [280 Signals Unit – RAF Troodos]’.
Following the encounter a secret investigation was launched by the British authorities. The results were sent to the US Department of Defense in November 1982.
Neither the British or US government have ever released information about this incident before the files were opened this week.
Officially the US Air Force’s UFO Project, Blue Book, was closed in 1969. The British Ministry of Defence closed its own UFO desk in 2009 and its secret space intelligence unit, DI55, said it was no longer interested in ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’ (UAP) in 2000.
But the newly-released RAF file reveals that officials ordered a transcript to be made of the tape recording that captured radio transmissions made between the spyplane crew and ground controllers.
Copies of the report were circulated to Assistant Chief Scientist (RAF), DD Ops (GE) RAF, DI55 and DSTI.
Film provided by the RAF Troodos radar station was carefully studied by photographic experts in London and large prints, taken from the radar picture, were prepared for scrutiny by intelligence officers.
The file does not reveal what happened to this evidence. The results of the joint UK/US investigation do not appear in the file.

But a tentative explanation is offered by a senior RAF official, who wrote: ‘We have a strong suspicion that the “UFO” was a mirage effect from lights on the coast of Israel or Lebanon’.
A signal reporting the sighting sent from RAF Troodos to MoD UK on 20 October describes the UFO as ‘larger than [a] RC-135’.
Boeing RC-135 aircraft are used by the USAF and RAF to support intelligence gathering. They have been used in every armed conflict including Cold War operations around the borders of the former Soviet Union. The aircraft are 136ft (41m) in length with a wingspan of 130ft (nearly 40m).
The RAF signal reporting the encounter says the ‘object’ was first spotted: “…initially about two miles from wing of RC-135…moved position around aircraft and closed…object tailed Beano 73 for 90 mins on its northeast/southwest race track….”.
The signal says the UFO was seen by the ‘whole crew’.
Three RC-135s were purchased by the RAF in 2017 to serve with 51 Squadron based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire. The crew includes two pilots, a navigator and up to 25 mission staff.
Elsewhere in the file a RAF Group Captain collated information on UFO reports received by his air defence staff for a thirty year period ending in 1996, in response to a Parliamentary Question from the Labour MP for Don Valley, Martin Redmond.
He asked all radar stations including the Ballistic Missile Early Warning Station at RAF Fylingdales on the North York Moors to submit UFO data to HQ No 11 Group.
His report says he could find “no reports or mention [was] found of UFOs detected by ADGE [Air Defence Ground Environment] units or 11/18 Group aircraft using radar equipment“.
