What UFO sightings tell us about earthlings
We’re only just over halfway through the year, but already it’s clear – recorded UFO sightings are down. So why is that? Well, it might have less to do with what’s going on up in space, and more to do with life here on Earth, whether or not you believe in alien life.

In a blog post, NASA said that it may never again have contact with the Opportunity rover, after the craft got caught up in a Martian dust storm in the middle of June.
While expressing optimism that the worst of the Opportunity's rover's problems may be behind it, as the dust storm starts to "decay," NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Andrew Good cautioned that the battery for the $400 million vehicle might have discharged so much power and been inactive for so long, it could be a loss.
"Even if engineers hear back from Opportunity, there's a real possibility the rover won't be the same," Good wrote in an Aug. 16 blog post. "The rover's batteries could have discharged so much power -- and stayed inactive so long -- that their capacity is reduced. If those batteries can't hold as much charge, it could affect the rover's continued operations."
Good also cautioned that no one will know how the Opportunity rover is doing "until it speaks," but added that the team behind it is optimistic, after performing tests on its batteries before the storm hit its location.
"Because the batteries were in relatively good health before the storm, there's not likely to be too much degradation," Good wrote. "And because dust storms tend to warm the environment -- and the 2018 storm happened as Opportunity's location on Mars entered summer -- the rover should have stayed warm enough to survive."
Good added that the dust is less of a problem. Previous storms which "plastered dust on the camera lenses," saw most of the dust eventually shed off. "Any remaining dust can be calibrated out," he wrote.
The dust storm started on June 10 and eventually covered the entire planet, according to Space.com.
Still, it has been a sore spot for NASA that it has not been able to contact the Opportunity rover since the dust storm.
Assuming NASA is able to get in contact with the rover (it is continuing to listen for signs and pinging it three times a week), Good says we may not know anything for a few weeks, likening its condition to a patient coming out of a coma.
"After the first time engineers hear from Opportunity, there could be a lag of several weeks before a second time," Good wrote. "It's like a patient coming out of a coma: It takes time to fully recover. It may take several communication sessions before engineers have enough information to take action."
Opportunity has three so-called "fault modes" when it experiences a problem: a low-power fault that causes it to go into hibernation until there is more sunlight to let it recharge; clock fault, which might happen if the rover doesn't know what time it is, causing disruptions in communication and uploss fault, which occurs when the rover hasn't heard from Earth in a long time, causing it to check its equipment and try alternate ways to communicate with Earth.
The Opportunity rover, which was initially meant to only be on the Red Planet for a 90-day mission, has made several groundbreaking discoveries throughout its now roughly 15-year trip, initially leaving Earth on July 7, 2003.
So far, it has detected signs of water, explored the insides of two craters and completed a marathon — the first vehicle to do so on another planet.
But Opportunity's journey hasn't always been a smooth one.
In 2005, the rover lost the use of one of its front wheels and got stuck in a thick pile of sand for about five weeks, according to Space.com. When it finally managed to move, it ran into a sand dune. In 2007, a dust storm hit and reportedly cut the spacecraft's power to "dangerously low levels." A month later, it turned back on and began exploring the Victoria Crater.
Despite its obstacles, the Opportunity has always managed to pull through. But this time, researchers aren't sure what will happen.
In the meantime, scientists are trying to stay positive, creating a Mars-themed Spotify playlist — featuring "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham!, "Rocket Man" by Elton John, among others — and an office pool to help pass the time.

In 1966, over 300 children and staff from a Melbourne school reportedly witnessed multiple UFOs silently flying through the sky before landing in a nearby field.
It is the largest mass UFO sighting in Australia, yet hardly anything was reported on it at the time.
Over the years, there have been differing reports about the details of what happened on April 6 at Westall High School, such as people claiming there were three saucerlike objects, while some thought there was just one.
In the 52 years since, there has been wide speculation about what people saw, with some believing it was an alien encounter and others pointing the finger at the government testing new technology.
Throughout all the years of speculation, however, one particularly interesting piece of audio has been greatly overlooked.
An American physicist known for his research into UFOs, Dr. James E. McDonald, conducted an interview with a science teacher from the Westall school, Andrew Greenwood, who witnessed the event.
He then recorded himself describing their meeting and the creepy details Mr. Greenwood gave about his experience. “Greenwood told me the UFO was first brought to his attention by a hysterical child who ran into his classroom and told him there’s a flying saucer outside,” Dr. McDonald said.
“He thought this child had become deranged or something so he didn’t take any notice, but when the child insisted that this object was in the sky he decided to go out and have a look for himself.”
When he went outside, he noticed a group of children looking toward the northeast area of the school grounds and as he approached them he claims he saw a UFO hovering close to the powerline.
Mr. Greenwood described it as a round, silver object about the size of a car with a metal rod sticking up in the air.
According to Dr. McDonald, the teacher then told him five planes came and surrounded the object as more people began gathering to watch the scene before them.
“He called it the most amazing flying he had ever seen in his life,” Dr. McDonald said.
“The planes were doing everything possible to approach the object and he said how they all avoided collision he will never know.
“Every time they got too close to the object it would slowly accelerate, then rapidly accelerate and then move away from them and stop. Then they would take off after it again and the same thing would happen.”
This game of cat and mouse reportedly went on for about 20 minutes and by this time Mr. Greenwood said 350 children and staff were watching on.
Suddenly the UFO shot away and vanished within seconds and it was at this point the headmaster came out and ordered everyone to go back to class.
Over the years there were reports that the government tried to cover up the incident and stop witnesses from talking, but Mr. Greenwood claimed it was the headmaster who first tried to squash discussion of the incident.
“He gave the school a lecture and told the children they would be severely punished if they talked about this matter and told the staff they could lose their jobs if they mentioned it at all,” Dr. McDonald said.
The teacher claimed the headmaster was so “scared” and “disturbed” by the incident that he had refused to come outside until the object was gone.
“When the Royal Australian Airforce contacted the headmaster he told them to ‘go and jump in a lake’,” Dr. McDonald said.
There have been claims from several witnesses that sharply dressed men in black suits visited them and warned them from speaking about the incident.
This lines up with a few experiences Mr. Greenwood had when he tried to speak with other witnesses about what they saw.
“At the time of seeing the UFO he was a complete skeptic himself. He had never even considered the possibility of their existence,” Dr. McDonald said.
“When he asked the physical education teacher to describe what she had seen herself so that he could compare it with his own observation, she just wouldn’t say anything.”
He then reportedly spoke to one of the older students who described the event in great detail exactly as he had seen it, but when he spoke to her again half an hour later she wouldn’t say a word.
Mr. Greenwood didn’t think it had anything to do with the headmaster’s threats as no one usually took him seriously and he knew for a fact that the student he spoke with didn’t attend the meeting where he had made the threats.
Dr. McDonald’s description of his interview with Mr. Greenwood offers a rare insight into the events from the eyes of someone who was an adult at the time.
There continues to be speculation over what actually happened and the site of the encounter has been turned into a memorial park to reflect the 1966 Westall UFO Incident.
Are we living in the only universe? If you believe like many that we reside in a multiverse, then answer this question: do we live in the FIRST universe? If that’s too big of a query to wrap your brain around, here’s a little help from an esteemed mathematician, with a little more help from the beyond in the form of Stephen Hawking, who thinks the answer lies in black holes:
“What we claim we’re seeing is the final remnant after a black hole has evaporated away in the previous aeon.”
What University of Oxford mathematical physicist Sir Roger Penrose and his colleagues “claim we’re seeing” is radiation that appears to have passed from a previous universe (which he calls an “aeon”), which supports Penrose’s theory of “conformal cyclic cosmology” which proposes that the universe is not the product of a single Big Bang but instead is going through an ebb and flow of Big Bang expansions and dying universe compressions. This, of course, would contradict the prevailing theory of cosmic inflation, which hypothesizes that the universe is expanding infinitely.
Got it so far? Still skeptical? Let’s bring in the late great Stephen Hawking and his “Hawking points.”
“Though seemingly problematic for cosmic inflation, the existence of such anomalous points is an iplication of conformal cyclic cosmology (CCC).”
In a paper published on the pre-peer review website arxiv.org, Penrose proposes that Hawking points – a singular spot of radiation emitted from black hole – are actually exit-entry points between dying-birthing universes and the radiation itself is a remnant from the previous aeon passed on to the current one. At this point, if you’re up on your Hawking points, you’re probably screaming, “But Hawking was never able to prove they exist!”
Not so fast, says Penrose. His study claims that one or more things-that-could-be-Hawking -points have been found by the BICEP2 (Background Imaging of Celectronic Cosmic Extragalactic Polarization) project, a muscular mapping of the cosmic microwave background (the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the Big Bang) which has identified 20 swirling patterns of polarizations (a great name for a band) called B-modes (a great name for the band’s backup singers) on the far edges of the map near the beginning of the universe we’re in right now.
Penrose and his colleagues believe these swirls are the smoking points proving the theory of conformal cyclic cosmology.
“Although of extremely low temperature at emission, in CCC this radiation is enormously concentrated by the conformal compression of the entire future of the black hole, resulting in a single point at the crossover into our current aeon.”
Should we break out the champagne (real and non-alcoholic) and invite our Hindu friends over to celebrate the proof of Vedic cosmology and the four Yugas? Unfortunately, Penrose’s study and simulations are based on the map released by the BICEP2 project, not the raw data which could contain contradicting points to the Hawking points. The map only goes back to about 380,000 years after the Big Bang, not to the bang itself, and other researchers say Penrose has not yet disproved the theories that the swirls or rings are light being bent by massive objects we can’t see yet.
Will a chain of banging-and-imploding universes that lasts forever be proven by the B-modes before the next aeon arrives? If science had a category for “most popular theory,” anything connected to Hawking would be a winner.
Armchair explorers poring over Google Maps have once again claimed to have found evidence of secret bases hiding in barren locations. At least it’s not Antarctica again this time. YouTube channel thirdphaseofmoon posted a video this week claiming to have discovered “China’s Area 51” in a remote part of the Gobi Desert. Is this definitive proof of, well, anything?
Mysterious Structures in Gobi Desert
As always, it’s hard to say from Google Maps images alone. The images do appear to show some sort of military installation, airport, or even space base, but whether or not there is anything nefarious or mysterious going on is unknown. The Chinese government is notoriously tight-lipped about its activities, particularly where defense is concerned, after all.
The ChiComs even often fabricate death tolls after natural disasters to avoid criticism of their public safety standards.
The images depict several structures spread out over a vast area of the desert. One of them appears to consist of two x-shaped landing strips flanked by a series of buildings, one of which appears to have suffered a major fire. There are no aircraft on the landing strips in Google Maps’ satellite images.
Another structure is far stranger. It appears to be a series of concentric rings made up of dark objects, at the center of which sit three aircraft. Some commenters online have likened the structure to Stonehenge. The true purpose of this structure is unknown, but I would guess it’s likely an arena for testing anti-aircraft munitions.

Naturally, being a conspiracy theory YouTube channel, thirdphaseofmoon speculates these structures are “some kind of secret space program that is being hidden in the Gobi Desert in an abandoned airport of some sort” and wonders where are the people inhabiting this area went. In all likelihood, this is merely a military installation used for aircraft and weapons testing, one which likely wouldn’t be used every day. Still, given that other secret Chinese space bases have been spotted, there’s no telling what might be possible for China’s “Area 51.” War in space is coming, readers.

CNN faced a shock horror moment over August 6 to 12 when they were beaten in the cable ratings by numerous competitors including the History channels Ancient Aliens.
This proves that people are more interested in UFO and Alien news than they are in what is currently happening in the world.
History Channels Ancient Aliens Knocks CNN Down Cable Ratings.XX CNN was also red-faced when they fell in behind shows from Fox News and MSNBC. At the top of the primetime slot for TV viewing was Fox News thanks to the program attracting more than 2 million viewers.
MSNBC took second place with its 1.75 million viewers, while CNN could only achieve seventh place with just 992,000 viewers over the average.
CNN was also beat by HGTV, USA, TBS and the History channel; probably the biggest shock was that the alien conspiracy theory program Ancient Aliens beat CNN news.
It seems the hosts Chris Cuomo and Anderson Cooper just did not have what it takes to compete with dated aliens as the History Channel drew in 1.06 million viewers during prime time.
CNN Also Failed During Daytime Slots Losing Out to Nickelodeon.
Not only has CNN failed miserably in the primetime slot, which is, of course, one of the most coveted among channels, they also failed in the daytime programming.
CNN executives must surely be hanging their heads in shame as even the children’s TV channel Nickelodeon beat them in the daytime. Also ahead during daytime viewing was Fox News, HGTV, MSNBC and Investigation Discovery. The fact that CNN was beaten by “Ancient aliens’ on History Channel was extensively reported by several leading media outlets, reported breitbart.

This is an interesting report about three free orbs caught in a panoramic photo during sunset in Canada. One orb is alone further away, and two others are close to one another. Also on close inspection of each orb, they look identical far away, but each is uniquely different from the others. The patterns of green inside the orbs are each different, which rules out lens flare...also most lens flares are blue.
Notice also that the orbs are green. They are revealed due to the angle of the sun, UFOs and camera. Although the human eye cannot catch all it sees, a digital camera can.
There are many past reports of green glowing UFOs at night, so due to the pattern within each UFO being different and the UFOs being separated, I believe this sighting to be 100% proof of alien visitation to Earth.

Here is a really unusual shaped UFO. The long black object floats past and changes shape as it does so. If it were balloons tied together, they would not change shape so fast. Last fall, there was widespread excitement after astronomers from the PAN-STARRS program at the University of Hawai'i detected a mysterious object shooting past Earth around 21 million miles (34 million kilometers) away. Named 'Oumuamua, meaning "first distant messenger" in Hawai'ian, it was the first object witnessed in our solar system that came from another star system. It was moving at nearly 200,000 mph (320,000 km/h), and was about 2,600 feet (800 meters) in length, with a highly unusual elongated cigar shape. Since a long, streamlined structure would minimize collisions with interstellar gas and dust, speculation arose that it might be an artificial object — perhaps even a spacecraft. This caught the attention of Breakthrough Listen, the radio astronomy program of Breakthrough Prize Foundation, which uses some of the world's biggest telescopes to search for evidence of intelligent life beyond Earth. Scientists quickly turned the Green Bank Telescope, the largest fully steerable instrument in the world, toward 'Oumuamua. At that range, Breakthrough Listen would have been able to detect an onboard transmitter with about the power of an iPhone. The observations did not reveal any signal — but they did lead to headlines like, "Astronomers Check 'Alien' Asteroid Thing For Actual Aliens".
Such headlines may make scientists cringe. But ultimately, I believe, they're a good thing. Any publicity is good publicity if it gets more people engaged with the golden age of space exploration that we are currently living through.
In the last two decades, among other momentous findings, astronomers have discovered that the expansion of the universe is accelerating; they have imaged its state soon after the Big Bang; and they have detected gravitational waves from black holes and neutron stars. Meanwhile, private space programs, such as Elon Musk's SpaceX and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin programs, have re-ignited enthusiasm about human space travel.
In the same period, astrobiology — the study of life in the universe — has blossomed as a science. At our annual conference on the subject, called Breakthrough Discuss, I see astronomers, cosmologists, biologists, geneticists, chemists and engineers bubbling with new ideas, from identifying exoplanet atmospheres to building synthetic life in the lab to searching for laser signals from other star systems.
What has galvanized the science community around the search for life? Recent space missions, such as NASA's Kepler and Cassini missions, have changed the game, revealing that most stars have planetary systems, and icy outer moons in our solar system could hold the conditions for primitive life. And just last month, the European Space Agency's Mars Express orbiter discovered a lake of liquid water beneath the surface of Mars. If, as many astrobiologists suspect, life was once present on the Red Planet, perhaps such lakes could still support it today.
In this climate of excitement, it's important that scientists are public figures — keen to take the lead in communicating with the public about new developments. Of course, when reacting quickly to events, mistakes are always possible, and scientific rigor is always paramount. But conjecture is not incompatible with rigor; indeed, conjecture is fundamental to the scientific method. Scientists should not be afraid to propose bold ideas, and open them up to criticism. One reason for this is that you never know what a scientific idea will reveal until you test it. Our program, for instance, was set up to look for "technosignatures" of advanced civilizations; we may or may not find them, but in the process we have already made astronomical discoveries in their own right — such as a new fast radio burst (FRB), one of the mysterious super-high-energy events of unknown origin.
And any new knowledge gleaned about the cosmos could teach us something about its possibilities for life. In June, astronomers at the European Space Agency showed that 'Oumuamua is accelerating away from the sun more rapidly than can be explained by the force of gravity alone. Their analysis concluded that the effect is caused by "outgassing" — material being boiled off its surface — meaning that the object is probably a comet. A comet is a very different proposition than a spacecraft, yet it is still relevant to the search for life: the discovery of an interstellar comet provides renewed motivation to consider theories like panspermia, which postulates that life is transported between the stars by comets, asteroids and other voyagers.
The universe is still full of mystery. We should welcome all scientifically grounded ideas that could shine a light upon it.
The Grand Canyon is the most famous gorge in the US state of Arizona and is located in the national park of the same name. Each year, the attraction attracts more than five million visitors.
4000 years ago, a UFO is said to have crashed on the bottom of the 450-kilometer-long gorge, which has not yet been fully explored.
Park ranger discovers UFO wreck
A park ranger found a gigantic frame made of an unknown metal on the largely unexplored soil of the Grand Canyon. After this discovery, an anonymous team of experts began an intensive investigation of the wreck. The experts analyzed the metal using the carbon dating method.
The carbon dating determined the crash or landing of the flying object to about 2000 years B.C., which would result in an age of at least 4000 years.
The interior of the ancient spaceship gave us an idea of the size of the inmates. According to the analysis, the creatures on board were smaller than humans and the interior offered space for up to twenty people.

Astronomer Dr. Henry Leaumont, who contacted the Weekly World News when he received secret Air Force documents about the find. He explained that the UFO crew apparently breathed oxygen.
The spacecraft had an atomic propulsion system based on measured low radiation. It was controlled by a magnetic steering system. Food and water had been on board the ufo as provisions.
According to Dr. Leaumont, the material the spacecraft was made of was an extremely light metal fiber. As he continues, a Bible has also been found to prove that the aliens believe in some kind of God.
Caves at the crash site
Around the crash site of the Grand Canyon UFO, there are orphaned caves that were probably inhabited by the crew for decades. The aliens are said to have painted their appearance on the walls. The paintings showed humanoid creatures with bulbous heads and according to experts, they were the aliens on board the UFO.
The wreckage of the ufo has meanwhile been transported away and is supposed to be in a secret place for further investigation. The truth of the story, since the metallic skeleton is said to have been the remains of a UFO that crashed 4000 years ago, cannot be verified.

One dessert in central Asia constitutes much more than this. Not one, but two X-shaped strips of tarmac have been spotted. Could these be landing strips? They indeed appear to be made from the tarmac, which again has no place in a desert!
Do These Satellite Images Reveal China’s Area 51?
Not only are the landing strips out of place, but they appear to be communicating something – the number eight is written both on and off the tarmac. And it is not just one number eight; there are several dotted within the vicinity of the strips. Although the untrained eye cannot make sense of the array, is this some sort of hidden communication?
The question of who is communicating may be raised. After all, who would be in the middle of a desert? How would they survive? The answer is relatively simple; just beneath the landing strips is an array of several buildings.
Not only this, but the buildings seem to be of varying ages – some appear to have been scorched by fire and derelict whereas other buildings appear to be of newer construction and occupiable.
So, what can be established? There has been somebody there to construct the strips and the buildings. There has likely been a major fire which destroyed some of the buildings. However, the site was that important that newer buildings were constructed to take their place. The strips have markings on, and the vast number of figure eights strung around the area could also signify something; communication is most likely intended.
The precise length of this communication is unknown. How successful the communication was is unknown. If it is still being used today is unknown.
But why is it being kept a secret? Why has nobody admitted to building it? For flying there? Or even before seeing it?
One possible explanation is that the area houses a military base and the government do not want you to know. If it is merely this legitimate then why all the secrets? What exactly are the government trying to conceal?
Is this an alien testing facility? Is this where Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 ended up? Just what activities are going on here?
Locals could hold the answer – the site is only 5 kilometers away from the closest town. But how likely are they to speak? Are they in on this secret too? Why haven’t they spoken before?
This is not the only strange happening in the Gobi Desert – there is another mystical area just like those above. Not only does the second structure contain landing strips and buildings but also actual aircraft. The buildings are set to surround the aircraft. Does this array mean something?
Again, there is also an aspect of communication – the area contains two large rectangular regions. One of the areas is seen as a solid rectangle whereas the other larger square consists of a geometric pattern. Does this pattern mean something?
It can be concluded that both of the areas stick out like a sore thumb. Both are not natural and should not be there, and both have been used for some type of aircraft. Even though no government is owning up and no locals are providing a witness, this cannot merely be swept under the rug as desert delirium. This is real.

Volgens het Russische ministerie van Defensie zou het gaan om een toestel dat ruimtetuigen inspecteert, maar daar geloven de Amerikanen niets van. “We weten niet wat dit toestel is en kunnen het op geen enkele manier checken”, klinkt het verontrust.
Het was Yleem D.S. Poblete – het hoofd van het Amerikaans Bureau of Arms Control, Verification and Compliance – die eergisteren aan de alarmbel trok op een ontwapeningsconferentie in Genève. De Russische satelliet werd in oktober vorig jaar voor het eerst opgemerkt.
“Wat de satelliet doet, komt niet overeen met wat we kennen van toestellen die ruimtetuigen inspecteren”, aldus Poblete. “We zijn bezorgd over zijn erg vreemde gedrag. Het is niet duidelijk om welke Russische satelliet het precies gaat. Dat zei Problete niet. Thousands of new documents from Project MKUltra, the Central Intelligence Agency’s mid-century mind control program, will soon be released. The new records include 4,358 undisclosed pages regarding MKUltra’s “behavior modification” efforts.
John Greenewald, founder of The Black Vault, a site specializing in declassified government records obtained via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, first uploaded MKUltra documents in 2004—tens of thousands of pages, spread over four CD-ROMs. The document index alone is 85 pages.
Still, the trove of MKUltra material available on The Black Vault represent only a small fraction of the material from the sprawling, multi-decade program, with the majority lost to history after CIA Director Richard Helms ordered all MKUltra files destroyed in 1973. This makes the new documents crucial to expanding our narrow perspective on the CIA’s actions from the operation’s beginnings in 1953 through the cover-up twenty years later.
Project MKUltra was an illegal program of human experimentation undertaken by the CIA to discover methods, both pharmacological and psychological, for controlling the human mind, particularly in interrogation settings. Amphetamines, MDMA, scopolamine, cannabis, salvia, sodium pentothal, psilocybin and LSD were administered to thousands of unsuspecting people, throughout the United States and Canada. Others were subject to sensory deprivation, psychological abuse and rape, including the sexual abuse of children.
Frank Olson, a biological warfare scientist working with the CIA, plummeted to his death a little over a week after his supervisor covertly dosed him with LSD. Though his death was considered a suicide, the Netflix documentary miniseries Wormwood convincingly argues he was instead assassinated by the CIA after threatening to disclose his work, particularly the United States’ alleged use of biological weapons in the Korean War.
More than 80 colleges, prisons, pharma companies and hospitals collaborated in the program, including renowned psychiatrist Donald Ewen Cameron, who served president of the American Psychiatric Association and the World Psychiatric Association. The destruction of decades of documentation and subsequent CIA stonewalling has made Project MKUltra a central element of numerous conspiracy theories.
The existence of the previously unknown MKUltra pages was discovered in 2016, when a Black Vault user, Oscar Diggs, discovered irregularities in the collection the CIA disclosed to Greenewald. Diggs created a list of missing records and pages described in the index. The CIA refused to fill in the gaps in their original FOIA disclosure, claiming that extant MKUltra documents pertaining to “behavioral modification” were not the same as those pertaining to “mind control.” Greenewald is currently crowdfunding to cover the fees imposed by the CIA for the remaining 4,358 pages.
“We shouldn’t be afraid to ask questions.” Greenewald told Motherboard. “Even though the government lies, documents do not.”
Experts believe a 5,000 year old Neolithic site has been discovered in a field in Ireland's Boyne Valley, after a summer drought deadened the grass enough for the monument to be revealed.
U.K. archeologists are crediting a drought and a drone for the discovery of an ancient structure in Ireland, which first appeared as an outline under a parched farmer’s field.
The structure was spotted this week by drone enthusiasts recording footage over the Newgrange historic site in Boyne Valley, County Meath. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to several 5,000-year-old circular structures from the Neolithic era, many of which remain buried underground.
Photos from the air show the structure as a circular outline under a farmer’s field, with the ditch-and-upright architecture of a prehistoric henge, such as Stonehenge.
“Nobody knew it was there,” said archeologist Stephen Davis.
The monument was likely built around 3000 BCE along with the other structures at the site, according to Davis, who teaches at University College Dublin. He’s also been studying the site for several years.
“When it was standing, what you would’ve seen was two large rings of timber posts, and maybe a very low bank, and then this segmented ditch,” Davis said.
Ireland has been suffering through a historically hot, dry summer, which helped expose the structure where it lay hidden beneath a farmer’s tilled field.
Davis says the buried structure caused the drought-stricken plants above ground to ripen at different rates, because the earth was deeper in some places than in others. This created a green-and-brown pattern in the plants that corresponded to the buried ruins.
“The detail we’re seeing is pretty unprecedented, and it might not happen again for decades,” Davis said.
“You wouldn’t see this from the ground,” he added. “You’d only see it from the air.”
The most famous structure at Newgrange is the stone-rimmed, grass-domed mound known as Site P. The structure is centred around an ancient stone tomb, although the tomb predates the rest of the monument.

This African tribe (whose name is pronounced “DOE-gone”) has known all sorts of specifics about the star Sirius for thousands of years, passed down from holy man to holy man. We’re talking details here, like how Sirius has a companion star (“Sirius B”), and that it circles the main star (“Sirius A”) every 50 years. Here’s the thing: it is absolutely true—but modern scientists didn’t know these things about Sirius until the middle of the 19th century. The Dogon knew a thousand years ago. Heck, the Dogon also knew that Sirius has a second companion star, and scientists didn’t discover it (“Sirius C”) until the 1990s.
How did the Dogon get this scientific information about Sirius B? If you ask them, they’ll tell you that the tribe was visited by the Nommos, an amphibian-like race that came from the Sirius star system in a noisy “ark” that spun and whipped up wind while it landed. It was the Nommos, a race of ancient aliens, who told the Dogon about their homeworld and its star cluster.
Knee-jerk skeptics like to invent reasons why all this can’t be true. Westerners must have stopped by and told them about Sirius, one denier said. There’s no way, though: the Dogon have artifacts that are thousands of years old, depicting Sirius and its companions. No one should have known this stuff that long ago, but the Dogon did.

Ask Erich von Däniken, the guy who pioneered the search for ancient aliens, and he’ll tell you his favorite evidence is in the Old Testament. It’s the story of Ezekiel and his bizarre encounter with UFOs.
Ezekiel was a prophet living in exile with the rest of the Hebrews in the land they called Babylon. Being a prophet was a highfalutin job back then, but Ezekiel’s life got even stranger—stranger than just being a guy who received special messages from the creator of the universe.

Some people read this and think: the dude was taking drugs. Others (knee-jerk skeptics) say: oh, it’s just more Biblical mumbo-jumbo. Devout people may say that Ezekiel saw angels.

What if this was Ezekiel actually saw something, and he didn’t know what it was, or how to explain it? If he actually encountered ancient aliens, how would he describe them? We think he’d probably describe them just like he did.

I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz … each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went.

Doesn’t that sound like a spacecraft to you? Why would a man living 500 years B.C. write a description that sounds so much like the landing and maneuvering of an alien ship? Surely this was not just random. Remember: Ezekiel was devoutly religious, and he would interpret amazing events as signs from God. If beings appeared, he would assume they were angels. But perhaps they were ancient aliens.
What about their technology? Ezekiel’s description was of an alien craft with advanced maneuverability.
This story of the machine that had wheels-within-wheels impressed NASA engineer Joe Blumrich a lot. A wheel that could move in any direction without having to turn—that sounded like something a planetary exploration vehicle could use. He went on to invent a wheel based on Ezekiel’s description, and called it the “omni wheel.” Joe received a US patent for it in 1972. Today, omni wheels are routinely used in robot vehicles. Blumrich also wrote a popular book, The Spaceships of Ezekiel, in which he explained that after starting out intending to disprove the idea, he’d become convinced that Ezekiel truly had been writing about an encounter with ancient aliens.

World’s Oldest Civilization Leaves Record of Alien Contact
The ancient Sumerians lived 5,000 years ago in what’s now the country of Iraq. They left behind humankind’s first writings, books older than the Bible and the Hindu Vedas.
The Sumerians wrote a lot about the Anunnaki, whose name means “those who came from the skies to Earth”. Modern scholars have assumed that the stories of the Annunaki were just myths about Sumerian gods—but the stories themselves sound more like tales of ancient aliens.
In the writings, the Annunaki came to Earth from a lost planet in our solar system—one with such a wide orbit that it rarely approaches us. They called the lanet Nibiru.
The leaders of the ancient aliens were named Enki and Enlil. They were here for gold, a mineral they needed but did not have enough of. Mines were set up there in Sumer, but also in Africa as well. Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa, a Zulu elder and author of Zulu Shaman: Dreams, Prophecies, and Mysteries, says that ancient tribal traditions speak of “visitors from the stars” who mined for gold.
After mining for some time, the Anunnaki realized that the local humanoids—Homo Erectus, our ancestors—might make useful slaves if they could make them smarter. After improving the proto-humans, presumably with DNA modification, they managed to create a hybrid race: part Anunnaki, part early human. These new beings, called the Adamu, were the first real humans. They were also the new slaves who would work in the gold mines.

Our hybrid ancestors didn’t stand for this situation for long, though, probably because these newly created beings were far too smart. Who wants to be a slave? They eventually rose up and rebelled, and eventually, a new Adamu society formed, one which maintained an uneasy truce with the Anunnaki.
The Sumerians recorded this history after first inventing writing. They also made engravings and art of the Anunnaki along with knowledge they had received from them—for instance, an ancient Sumerian seal depicts the Sumerian “gods” along with an accurate representation of our solar system, with 11 planets. The planets have correct proportions (Jupiter is the largest, then Saturn, and so on), and the depiction also includes the asteroid belt. Remember that modern science only discovered Uranus and Neptune in the past 150 years, and that scientists are only now saying that there is gravitational evidence for a “lost” planet with a weird, oblong orbit. Are there truly 11 planets? It may be so.
Sumerian artwork always depicts members of the Anunnaki as having wings. Did they actually have wings? It seems unlikely—many researchers believe the wings are meant to show that the Anunnaki had the ability to fly, as in ships. Other strange and telling things appear in the artwork: the goddess Ishtar’s symbol, which stood for the concept of “life”, bears a striking resemblance to the entwined double helix of DNA. Could that be more than a coincidence?

Hindu Holy Books Called The Vedas Describe Alien Encounters
There is strong evidence that ancient aliens visited other places around the Earth. In India, for example, the ancient holy books known as The Vedas tell of a space war between ships and fought in the skies. The descriptions of the ships are remarkable—translated, it is difficult to imagine that they were describing anything except spacecraft.
The Vedas state that “strong and durable must the body of the Vimana be made, like a great flying bird of light material. Inside one must put the mercury engine with its iron heating apparatus underneath. By means of the power latent in the mercury which sets the driving whirlwind in motion, a man sitting inside may travel a great distance in the sky. The movements of the Vimana are such that it can vertically ascend, vertically descend, move slanting forwards and backwards. With the help of the machines human beings can fly in the air and heavenly beings can come down to earth.”

No, that’s not a spacecraft they’re describing. No way.
“Fifty years of researching this ancient works convinces me that there are living beings on other planets and that they visited Earth as far back as 4,000 BC. There is just a mass of fascinating information about flying machines, even fantastic science fiction weapons that can be found in translations of The Vedas, Indian epics and other ancient Sanskrit text.” That’s Dr. Vijaya Raghavan, speaking; he was head of the Sanskrit department of the University of Madras in India (now retired). His job, if it’s not obvious, was to study The Vedas; his conclusion was that they described real events in which aliens came to Earth.
In other parts of The Vedas, we get a description of something that can only be a nuclear explosion.
“Gurkha flying in his swift and powerful Vimana hurled against the three cities of the Vrishis and Andhakas a single projectile charged with all the power of the Universe. An incandescent column of smoke and fire, as brilliant as ten thousands suns, rose in all its splendor. It was the unknown weapon, the Iron Thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and Andhakas.”
So what do we make of that? Just ancient imagination that happens to sound exactly like nuclear devastation? Sure, you deniers and skeptics, sure. You’re probably right. It’s ancient nonsense. Right?

We could go on; there’s a lot of strange evidence on our Earth that is dismissed far too easily by mainstream science. Oorspronkelijk ging men ervan uit de Egyptenaren vanaf 3.700 tot 3.500 voor Christus lijken op een natuurlijke manier konden conserveren.
Maar op basis van tests op een goed bewaarde prehistorische mummie uit het Egyptologisch museum in Turijn kwam een wetenschappelijk team onder leiding van de universiteit in York (Engeland) en Macquarie (Australië) tot de bevinding dat reeds in 3.600 een rituele mummificatie van een man tussen twintig en dertig jaar heeft plaatsgevonden.
Bovendien vonden de wetenschappers aanwijzingen dat het inbalsemen in Egypte geografisch meer verspreid was dan aanvankelijk gedacht.
WETENSCHAPBelgië zal bijna 150 miljoen euro besteden aan de deelname in het Franse programma voor spionagesatellieten. De eerste van drie exemplaren moet nog voor het einde van het jaar worden gelanceerd.
Defensie is al een van de partners in de huidige familie van de Helios II-verkenningssatellieten, waarvan twee machines constant rond de aarde draaien om de klok rond beelden met een hoge resolutie te leveren.
Maar de twee satellieten Helios II A en B, gelanceerd respectievelijk eind 2004 en 2009, zullen rond 2020 aan het einde van hun levensverwachting zijn. Parijs heeft daarom een vervangingsprogramma gelanceerd, CSO genaamd (Composante Spatiale Optique). Drie Europese landen (Duitsland, Zweden en België) hebben hun krachten gebundeld om, onder Frans management, drie efficiëntere satellieten te financieren.
Het CSO-systeem bestaat uit drie identieke optische satellieten van 3,5 ton, die tussen eind 2018 en 2021 worden gelanceerd. Ze vliegen over de aarde in polaire banen van verschillende hoogten. De door België verkregen beelden zullen niet alleen worden gebruikt door Defensie, maar ook door andere federale diensten zoals de FOD Buitenlandse Zaken en de federale politie, aldus het kabinet van minister van Defensie Steven Vandeput.
België betaalde in 2013 al 49 miljoen euro om de deelname concreet te maken en industriële rendementen te verkrijgen. Defensie besliste in september vorig jaar om 98 miljoen euro te investeren. De investering is opgenomen in de strategische visie, de leidraad tot en met 2030 voor het defensiebeleid, en werd in juni 2016 door de regering goedgekeurd.
