Aliens Among Us: Unraveling the Mystery of Who They Really Are
Aliens Among Us: Unraveling the Mystery of Who They Really Are
Aliens have long captivated the human imagination. Whether through books, movies, or whispered rumors, the concept of extraterrestrial beings has been the source of fascination and speculation. But what if the beings we call “aliens” are not from distant star systems at all? What if they have been sharing our planet with us for thousands of years, living right beneath our feet? This theory challenges everything we think we know about UFOs, extraterrestrial life, and even human history. Let’s dive into the compelling argument behind “Aliens – Who They Are.”
The Persistent UFO Phenomenon
The skies have always been a stage for mysterious visitors, with UFO sightings reported throughout history. According to the UFO Reporting Center, over 150,000 sightings have been cataloged in the United States alone. From bright lights in the sky to objects moving at impossible speeds, UFOs have baffled witnesses, leaving many to wonder: Who is piloting these strange craft?
The idea that UFOs are flown by extraterrestrials from far-off star systems has been the prevailing theory for decades. However, the sheer frequency of sightings, sometimes thousands a year, has cast doubt on the idea that these craft are traveling across vast interstellar distances just to visit Earth.
The Underground Connection
One of the more intriguing theories suggests that these beings might not be coming from outer space at all. Instead, they could be coming from beneath the Earth’s surface. There have been numerous reports of UFOs emerging from oceans, lakes, and even mountains, leading some researchers to believe that these crafts are not coming from “up there,” but from “down here.”
This theory proposes that a technologically advanced civilization has been living underground for thousands of years, possibly since a major cataclysm around 13,000 years ago. This underground civilization, which some call the “intraterrestrials,” may have been forced to retreat beneath the Earth due to a catastrophic event, such as a comet impact. The idea is that these beings, once part of the human race, have developed advanced technology far beyond our current capabilities.
A Breakaway Civilization?
The concept of a “breakaway civilization” is a central idea in this theory. It suggests that a group of humans split off from the rest of humanity and developed in isolation, leading to the evolution of advanced technology. These beings, who might be the pilots of the UFOs we see today, are not aliens but rather a branch of the human race that has remained hidden from the surface world for millennia.
Supporters of this theory point to historical records, such as ancient Sumerian texts, which describe advanced beings known as the Anunnaki. Some believe these texts hint at an advanced civilization that once existed on Earth, possibly the ancestors of the so-called intraterrestrials.
Encounters with UFOs and Advanced Beings
Many UFO sightings describe encounters with different types of beings, such as the “Grays” and the “Nordics.” The Grays, with their large black eyes and grayish skin, are often portrayed as the classic image of an alien. However, some researchers believe that these beings are not aliens but humans who have evolved after living underground for thousands of years. The theory is that the lack of sunlight and other environmental factors caused them to develop different physical characteristics.
In contrast, the Nordics are often described as tall, blond, and human-like. According to some accounts, these beings are our “cousins,” who might have emerged from underground at some point and blended in with surface humans. In fact, it is speculated that these beings have been influencing human history for centuries, posing as gods or extraterrestrial visitors.
The Hidden World Beneath Us
There are also tales of hidden underground worlds, such as those described by Admiral Richard E. Byrd, an American explorer. Byrd allegedly encountered a hidden world beneath the ice of Antarctica, where he met advanced beings with incredible technology. While this story is hotly debated, it has become a cornerstone for many UFO theories, adding fuel to the idea that an advanced civilization exists beneath the Earth’s surface.
Reports of strange phenomena around certain locations, such as heat signatures in areas where UFOs have been seen entering and exiting the Earth, lend credence to the idea that there are hidden underground bases. These bases, some believe, could be the home of the intraterrestrials, who have mastered the ability to travel between their world and ours.
Government Secrecy and UFOs
The involvement of governments in UFO phenomena is another major aspect of this theory. Since the infamous Roswell incident in 1947, there have been persistent rumors that governments around the world are aware of these beings and their advanced technology but are keeping it secret. According to some sources, President Eisenhower even had a secret meeting with Nordic extraterrestrials in the 1950s, where they allegedly warned him about the dangers of nuclear weapons.
More recently, the U.S. government has begun to acknowledge the existence of UFOs or UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), with the Pentagon releasing declassified videos showing objects performing maneuvers that defy the laws of physics. While the government has stopped short of confirming the existence of extraterrestrial life, these admissions have opened the door to further speculation about what UFOs really are and where they come from.
The Cousins Among Us
The most startling aspect of this theory is the idea that these beings are not aliens at all but are our “cousins.” The intraterrestrials have been here all along, sharing the planet with us and possibly influencing our history from the shadows. According to this theory, they may have played the role of gods in ancient times, guiding humanity’s development and ensuring their own survival.
These beings may not want us to know that they exist, as human beings tend to react with fear to the unknown. However, as our technology advances and we begin to uncover more about the mysteries of UFOs, it is becoming harder for them to remain hidden.
Conclusion
The theory that aliens are not extraterrestrial but intraterrestrial beings reshapes how we view UFOs and the idea of extraterrestrial life. If true, it means that we are not alone on this planet, and that a breakaway civilization has been living among us, hidden from view, for thousands of years. Whether they are friend or foe remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the mystery of who they are is only just beginning to unfold.
This theory offers an alternative to the popular narrative of aliens as visitors from distant galaxies. Instead, it proposes that they are part of our own history, deeply connected to humanity in ways we are only beginning to understand.

Hessdalen Lights: Real UAP Evidence Caught on Camera?
Hessdalen Lights: Real UAP Evidence Caught on Camera?
The Hessdalen Lights, a mysterious phenomenon witnessed in a remote valley in Norway, continue to baffle scientists, locals, and UFO enthusiasts alike. These strange, pulsating lights in the sky have sparked debates, theories, and numerous investigations over the years. In a recent expedition, retired F-16 pilot and UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) investigator Chris Leos, along with fellow YouTuber Carl Crusher, ventured into Hessdalen to capture the elusive lights on camera. Their journey raises the question: could these lights be real evidence of UAPs, or is there a more conventional explanation?
The Investigation Begins
Chris Leos and Carl Crusher traveled to Hessdalen, a place long known for its unexplained light phenomena, to record and analyze these events. Hessdalen Lights have been reported as flashing, glowing orbs that hover in the sky or move erratically, disappearing and reappearing at random. Upon setting up camp, the duo witnessed several flashes, which they successfully caught on camera, prompting speculation about their origin.
The expedition took place in Hallin, Norway, a region famous for such sightings. As the team watched the sky through night-vision equipment, they saw bright flashes in the otherwise clear sky. The flashes were distinctive because they lacked the rhythmic patterns typical of aircraft or satellite lights. Chris, initially suspecting an airliner, quickly dismissed the idea due to the absence of clouds and the irregularity of the lights.
Real-Time Encounters and Analysis
During their stay, the team had a surprise encounter with a French media crew filming a documentary about UAP hunters. It was during this encounter that Carl Crusher, using his night-vision camera, captured one of the bright flashes. Chris and Carl both witnessed the flash in real time, sparking further discussions about whether the light could be a UAP or something more ordinary, like a satellite flare.
Despite their high-tech equipment and sharp observational skills, neither Chris nor Carl could conclusively identify the lights. The flashes did not conform to the typical characteristics of aircraft or satellite lights, and there were no visible clouds that could account for the phenomenon. This raised the possibility of the lights being UAPs or some other unexplained atmospheric event.
CE5: Communication with the Unknown?
One intriguing aspect of the investigation was the introduction of the CE5 (Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind) meditation technique, a method used by UAP enthusiasts to initiate communication with extraterrestrial intelligence. This practice involves meditative exercises that aim to call down UFOs or UAPs by focusing thoughts and intentions on them.
During the expedition, a local man named Eric shared a personal story. His wife, despite never having seen orbs before, felt an intuitive urge to go outside and look at the sky during a CE5 meditation session. To her surprise, she witnessed a mysterious orb after doing so. This anecdote added another layer of intrigue, suggesting a possible link between human consciousness and the appearance of the Hessdalen Lights.
While some remain skeptical of CE5 techniques, believers argue that the lights may be reacting intelligently, even telepathically, to observers. The idea that these lights could have some form of consciousness behind them continues to spark debate.
Exploring Possible Explanations
Although the flashes observed by Chris and Carl were impressive, the question remains: what exactly are they? The most common hypothesis is that the Hessdalen Lights may be related to satellites. However, Chris was quick to point out that the flashes didn’t resemble typical satellite behavior. A possible explanation is a satellite flare, a phenomenon where sunlight reflects off a satellite’s surface, causing a sudden, bright flash in the sky. Yet, the flashes seen in Hessdalen were unusual, appearing multiple times without the characteristic steady movement of satellites.
Other potential explanations include atmospheric phenomena, such as unusual magnetic or electrical anomalies, which could create the illusion of lights. However, many of these theories fail to fully explain the lights’ erratic behavior, or their apparent responsiveness to human observation, as some witnesses have claimed.
A Continuing Mystery
Despite the advanced technology and numerous investigations, the Hessdalen Lights remain largely unexplained. Chris Leos emphasized the need for further data analysis and detailed investigations to understand the lights’ true nature. He mentioned ongoing research efforts, including the use of automatic anomaly detection systems and satellite-based monitoring, to gather more concrete evidence.
While the lights could potentially be explained by natural phenomena or man-made objects, the possibility of UAPs continues to intrigue researchers and enthusiasts. The fact that Chris and Carl were able to capture these lights on camera adds weight to the argument that something extraordinary may be happening in Hessdalen.

Hessdalen Lights Caught on Camera! Real UAP Evidence?
The Hessdalen Lights continue to captivate the imaginations of those who witness them. Whether they are the result of UAP activity, satellite flares, or some other natural phenomenon, the lights remain an enduring mystery. The investigation by Chris Leos and Carl Crusher adds to the growing body of evidence, but also raises more questions than it answers.
For those interested in the search for UAPs or simply curious about unexplained phenomena, Hessdalen remains one of the most intriguing hotspots. As technology improves and more data is collected, the hope is that one day, the true nature of these lights will be revealed.
In the meantime, adventurers and researchers continue to flock to Hessdalen, hoping to catch a glimpse of these enigmatic flashes in the sky. Could they be UAPs? Only time, and further investigation, will tell.

Hessdalen Lights Ongoing UFO Mystery
The Mystery of Hessdalen Lights A Spectacular Phenomenon
In recent years, the growing interest in Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), commonly referred to as UFOs, has drawn attention from both the public and government agencies. Among the noteworthy contributors to this research is Nightcrawler Research, a group spearheaded by twin brothers Gerry and John Tedesco, both of whom are electrical engineers. Their work, initially rooted in studying cancer clusters on Long Island, has taken an unexpected turn toward UAP research, ultimately catching the eye of the FBI and other federal agencies.
From Cancer Clusters to UAP Investigations
The Tedescos’ foray into UAP research began in an unexpected way. Originally, the brothers were focused on analyzing cancer clusters on Long Island, prompted by the loss of friends and a desire to use their scientific expertise to investigate environmental contaminants. Equipped with a mobile laboratory filled with detection gear and cameras, they sought to uncover any correlation between pollutants and the rise of cancer cases in the region.
However, their direction shifted when the Director of National Intelligence released a landmark report on UAPs in 2021. Intrigued by the findings, Gerry and John turned their research toward the skies, leveraging their engineering skills and high-tech equipment to capture unprecedented footage of these mysterious aerial phenomena.
Cutting-Edge Technology in the UAP Field
One of the defining aspects of Nightcrawler Research’s work is their use of advanced technology. The brothers have invested a significant portion of their personal savings into acquiring state-of-the-art equipment. This includes hyperspectral cameras, which are capable of capturing light spectrums beyond what the human eye can perceive. This technology has proven invaluable in detecting and filming objects that are invisible under normal conditions, further strengthening their case for the existence of UAPs.
During their research along the flight routes near Long Island, particularly in areas where aircraft approach and depart from JFK International Airport, the Tedescos managed to record a series of astonishing encounters with UAPs. One notable example includes footage of a cylindrical object—referred to as a “Tic-Tac”—that appeared to fly perilously close to a passenger aircraft. The clarity of these images, particularly when viewed in slow motion, has caught the attention of aviation safety authorities due to its potential implications for air traffic safety.
Gaining Federal Attention
The work of the Tedesco brothers has not gone unnoticed. Their methodical, data-driven approach has attracted the interest of not only UAP enthusiasts but also government bodies. Recently, they accomplished what few UAP researchers have managed to do: they had a peer-reviewed paper on UAPs published in a prominent scientific journal. This achievement brought their research to the forefront, and soon after, federal agencies, including the FBI and Homeland Security, began to take notice.
The government’s interest is likely tied to national security concerns, as many of the UAPs the Tedescos captured were found in close proximity to commercial aircraft. The risk these objects pose to flight safety has raised alarm bells, particularly given their unknown origins and capabilities. As more footage and data have surfaced, the FBI has begun engaging with the researchers, possibly signaling a broader federal inquiry into UAPs beyond what has been publicly acknowledged.
The Importance of Their Work
What sets Nightcrawler Research apart is not just their impressive technological setup but also their dedication to approaching the UAP phenomenon scientifically. As trained engineers, Gerry and John Tedesco are able to scrutinize their findings with a critical eye, ensuring that what they present is backed by data. Their use of hyperspectral imaging has allowed them to film objects that otherwise would have gone unnoticed, expanding our understanding of what might be out there.
While much of the UAP conversation has been shrouded in mystery and skepticism, the Tedescos’ work brings a level of credibility and scientific rigor to the field. By documenting their findings through peer-reviewed research, they are helping to shift the dialogue surrounding UAPs from fringe theory to mainstream scientific inquiry.
'Reality Check': UAP researchers' work catches attention of FBI | Morning in America
Nightcrawler Research’s work is a testament to the power of scientific curiosity and technological innovation in exploring the unknown. What began as a local investigation into cancer clusters has transformed into a significant UAP research project, one that has captured the attention of federal agencies like the FBI. As concerns about national security and flight safety grow, it is likely that researchers like the Tedescos will play an increasingly important role in unraveling the mystery of UAPs. Their groundbreaking footage and data have already provided a clearer glimpse into the phenomenon, and as their work continues, we may soon find more answers to the questions that have puzzled humanity for decades.

Do you think the U.S. government is hiding, and possibly reverse-engineering, extraterrestrial technology? Think again. Or better yet, don’t think about it at all. Nothing to see here.
Meet J. Allen Hynek, The Astronomer Who First Classified UFO 'Project Blue Book' | Project Grudge
That’s the underlying message of a report released last month by the Department of Defense. The 63-page “Report on the Historical Record of U.S. Government Involvement with Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)” concludes that the DoD’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) “found no evidence that any [U.S. Government] investigation, academic-sponsored research, or official review panel has confirmed that any sighting of a UAP represented extraterrestrial technology.”
The AARO, as The Guardian summarizes, is “a government office established in 2022 to detect and, as necessary, mitigate threats including ‘anomalous, unidentified space, airborne, submerged and transmedium objects’.”
This report comes on the heels of, and in contradiction to, what was arguably the most high-profile hearing on UAPs—formerly known as unidentified flying objects, or UFOs—in decades: the August 2023 testimony of “whistleblower” Dave Grusch.
In the bombshell hearing, Grusch, a former member of the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force, claimed that he had been made aware of a “multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse engineering program.” But his claims were never substantiated, and while the new report never mentions Grusch by name, it does offer plausible explanations for the phenomena he described in his testimony.
This is hardly the first government report to debunk stories about little green men and their strange flying saucers. So, why do Americans keep clinging to conspiracy theories about extraterrestrial visitors? Blame science fiction, the AARO report says:
“A consistent theme in popular culture involves a particularly persistent narrative that the USG—or a secretive organization within it—recovered several off-world spacecraft and extraterrestrial biological remains, that it operates a program or programs to reverse engineer the recovered technology, and that it has conspired since the 1940s to keep this effort hidden from the United States Congress and the American public.
AARO recognizes that many people sincerely hold versions of these beliefs which are based on their perception of past experiences, the experiences of others whom they trust, or media and online outlets they believe to be sources of credible and verifiable information. The proliferation of television programs, books, movies, and the vast amount of internet and social media content centered on UAP-related topics most likely has influenced the public conversation on this topic, and reinforced these beliefs within some sections of the population.”
The X-Files and the internet helped guide curious people toward the fringes of ufology. But to fully understand the ongoing public skepticism regarding the government-provided explanations about aliens, we must consider the man who was once responsible for upholding these “official” stories—and examine his stunning evolution from a fellow skeptic to the world’s leading UFO advocate.
Who Was J. Allen Hynek?
Denver Post//Getty Images
J. Allen Hynek, photographed in 1972.
Josef Allen Hynek, who was born on May 1, 1910, developed an interest in the cosmos following an episode of illness during his childhood. The sickness steered his curiosity away from following in the footsteps of his mother and father—a schoolteacher and cigar manufacturer, respectively—and toward the universe.Biography writes:
“An introduction to the stars came after Hynek was bedridden with scarlet fever at age seven: Having run through their supply of children's books to read, his mom turned to textbooks, with a high school edition on astronomy capturing the boy’s attention.”
From an early age, Hynek’s passion for science was mixed with a penchant for mystery and a pursuit of philosophical thought. He had “an interest in more esoteric subjects, particularly the works of the Rosicrucian secret societies and hermetic philosopher Rudolf Steiner,” according to Biography.
In 1934, as a doctoral student, Hynek contributed to observations of the Nova Herculis supernova at Perkins Observatory in Ohio. By 1936, he joined Ohio State University’s Physics and Astronomy Department. His research over the next 12 years culminated in his appointment as director of the university’s McMillin Observatory.
And that’s when the U.S. government came calling—with an unusual request.
How Did J. Allen Hynek Become Involved With UFOs?
In the waning days of World War II, American fighter pilots reported seeing aircraft that were unlike any previously encountered in combat. Some described “orange, flowing lights,” while another pilot “saw a red-ish, wingless, cigar-shape object.”
These accounts reached the media, and a population exhausted by war both wondered and worried about the tales of the strange aircraft. But the occurrences were ultimately attributed to “electrostatic or electromagnetic phenomena.”
The incident involving pilot Kenneth Arnold on June 24, 1947, however, wasn’t as readily explained—and, more crucially, it wasn’t as easily dismissed. As PopMechpreviously summarized:
“While searching for a Marine Corps C-46 transport plane, experienced pilot Kenneth Arnold diverted from his original flight path to help search the southwest slope of Mount Rainier. During the search, Arnold observed nine “peculiar-looking” and possibly “completely round” objects flying in a formation that reminded him of geese. It was later estimated they were flying in excess of 1,000 miles per hour. When he reported it (and assuming they were a new type of jet or experimental military aircraft), the Army Air Corps dismissed it as a mirage or hallucination.”
When Arnold believed the Army dismissed his claims too lightly, he reached out to the press. His discussion with Bill Bequette from the East Oregonian newspaper resulted in Bequette creating the term “flying saucers” to describe the unusual objects Arnold reported seeing.
Bettmann//Getty Images
(L-R) Pilots E.J. Smith, Kenneth Arnold, and Ralph E. Stevens look at a photo of an unidentified flying object which they sighted while en route to Seattle, Washington in 1947.
America’s intelligence apparatus was still nascent at the time; the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) dissolved in 1945, and its successor, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), wouldn’t form until three months after Arnold reported his sighting. If there were mysterious objects flying in America’s airspace, the U.S. didn’t know where they could be coming from: The USSR? Enemies abroad? Aliens from another world?
It was crucial, then, to investigate whether these claims had any truth to them, and just as important to reassure a nervous American public that there was no cause for alarm (even if that might not have been true).
The U.S. Air Force enlisted Hynek to serve as an “astronomical consultant” for “Project Sign,” its initiative dedicated to examining the multitude of reports. Throughout Project Sign, Hynek meticulously analyzed each account of unusual aerial occurrences and categorized them accordingly. Per Biography:
“There were those which were simply astronomical observations, like the appearance of a meteor, those explained by meteorology, like an unusually shaped cloud, and those which captured accounts of man-made objects, like balloons. That left about 20 percent with no clear explanation...”
Hynek’s later writings suggest that he had hoped for additional investigations to address the questions posed by the remaining 20 percent of unexplained cases. However, the U.S. government, apprehensive about public fears during the Cold War and the potential for those fears to be manipulated, preferred to make such questions go away. And so, Project Sign evolved into “Project Grudge.”
“The staff,” the Report on the Historical Record of U.S. Government Involvement with Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena summarizes, “especially those who seemed to lean towards belief in the ‘interplanetary’ origin of UFOs, were reportedly purged from the organization.”
Project Grudge released only one report, in August 1949. “There is no evidence that objects reported upon are the result of an advanced scientific foreign development; and, therefore they constitute no direct threat to the national security,” the report determined. It concluded by recommending that “the investigation and study of reports of unidentified flying objects be reduced in scope.”
Hynek, disillusioned with the direction the investigations took, characterized Project Grudge as a “public relations campaign.”
What Was Project Blue Book?
Project Grudge’s conclusions failed to quell concerns about what people now referred to as “unidentified flying objects,” or UFOs. So the Air Force resumed its investigations once more, this time in its most famous form: “Project Blue Book.”
The Air Force again brought in Hynek for Project Blue Book, permitting him to actually conduct field investigations into these phenomena himself. Hynek’s perspective on the extraterrestrial theories regarding the unexplained sightings evolved from his days with Project Sign. As Biography observes:
“While he had harbored plenty of skepticism the first time around, he found his assumptions challenged by the rational recollections of witnesses, and began thinking about the legitimate scientific study of these 'Unidentified Flying Objects' or 'UFOs.'”
However, Hynek quickly realized that he was seen more as an instrument to dismiss alien speculation than as a scientist tasked with exploring such possibilities. As Biography notes, “By the 1960s, Hynek found himself in conflict with the restrictive supervision of the Air Force.”

One particularly embarrassing incident for Hynek came in 1966, when he was sent to investigate “reports of unusual lights in separate areas of Michigan over successive nights.” Hurried to provide an explanation and pressed to steer clear of extraterrestrial theories, Hynek was compelled to suggest publicly that the sightings might be attributed to “swamp gas.”

Hynek dismisses a Michigan sighting of a UFO as luminous swamp gas at a press conference in 1966.
The term “swamp gas” became a proto-meme of the mid-60s, and House Minority Leader (and future president) Gerald Ford demanded answers for the seemingly shoddy investigation. “Called to testify,” Biography notes, “Hynek used the occasion to argue for an extensive, transparent study of UFOs.”
Hynek broke from the directives of the Air Force, and just three years later, Project Blue Book was completely terminated. But that didn’t stop the astronomer.
What Did J. Allen Hynek Do After Project Blue Book?
Freed from the constraints of the Air Force, Hynek initiated a public campaign to promote the rigorous scientific investigation of what he called “ufology.” This effort first materialized as his 1972 book, The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry.
Hynek wrote about his philosophy on the study of UFOs, his observations from decades working on Project Sign and Project Blue Book, and his scale for classifying UFO sightings, which involved both distant and close encounters. He classified distant observations as either “nocturnal lights,” “daylight discs,” or for those not seen directly by human eyes, “radar/visuals.”
The other observations—“close encounters”—also broke down into three categories.HISTORY summarizes:
“Close Encounters of the First Kind meant UFOs seen at a close enough range to make out some details. In a Close Encounter of the Second Kind, the UFO had a physical effect, such as scorching trees, frightening animals or causing car motors to suddenly conk out. In Close Encounters of the Third Kind, witnesses reported seeing occupants in or near a UFO.”
That final category inspired the title of the classic 1977 Steven Spielberg film, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Hynek was reportedly paid for the use of the title and for his role as a consultant on the movie, and he also made a brief appearance in the Best Picture nominee. Hynek also appeared on shows like “The Dick Cavett Show” and “In Search Of...,” spoke on the university lecture circuit, and even presented on UFOs to the United Nations. His life’s work inspired a two-season TV series that aired in the 2010s, aptly named Project Blue Book.

Crucially, while Hynek openly discussed the limitations he faced during his tenure with the Air Force and was forthright about its apparent lack of genuine interest in investigating the possibility of alien encounters, his written work never fully embraced conspiracy theories. That wouldn’t be true for those who came after him.
J. Allen Hynek: the Man behind UFO "Project Blue Book"
What Is J. Allen Hynek’s UFO Legacy?
In 1986, the year Hynek died, conspiracy theorist George C. Andrews published Extra-Terrestrials Among Us, a book that incorporated ideas of ufology into existing ideas of government conspiracies and secret organizations. In Andrews’ grand vision of a global conspiracy, he claimed extraterrestrials were behind the killing of President John F. Kennedy.
In 1991, conspiracy theorist Bill Cooper incorporated Andrews’ theories into his manifesto, Behold a Pale Horse, one of the more widely read books of fringe political conspiracies. Where Hynek kept his speculations scientific, The New Republic noted that Cooper’s co-opting of ufology was “...the tip of a spear asserting that the number one thing we had to fear was not little green men, but the government that colluded with them, appropriating their technology against us.”
Hynek’s legacy risks being overshadowed by the extreme and politically charged theories of self-proclaimed ufologists that emerged in his wake. His ambition was for ufology to gain recognition as a legitimate scientific field; however, the proliferation of conspiracy theories that came after him provided the government with further justification to dismiss the subject entirely.
The new AARO report states that during the time Hynek was working with Project Blue Book, “about 75 percent of Americans trusted the [US government] ‘to do the right thing almost always or most of the time.’” But, the report notes, since 2007, that number has never risen above 30 percent. “This lack of trust probably has contributed to the belief held by some subset of the U.S. population that the USG has not been truthful regarding knowledge of extraterrestrial craft.”
Ultimately, the Air Force’s efforts to stifle Hynek—pressuring him to offer the public standard responses to questions he wasn’t even allowed to ask—appears to have backfired.
Ironically, the Air Force’s attempts to quiet suspicions only fueled them, leading to more conspiracy theories and distrust. People came to believe that the government was hiding the truth, contrary to Hynek’s actual revelation: that, in reality, the people at the top may not care much about finding the answers after all.
Physical infrastructure on the Moon will be critical to any long-term human presence there as both America and China gear up for a sustained human lunar presence. Increasingly, a self-deploying tower is one of the most essential parts of that physical infrastructure. These towers can hold numerous pieces of equipment, from solar panels to communications arrays, and the more weight they can hold in the lunar gravity, the more capable they become. So it’s essential to understand the best structural set-up for these towers, which is the purpose of a recent paper by researchers at North Carolina State University and NASA’s Langley Research Center.
Several technologies underpin that structure, which was developed under NASA’s Self-Erectable Lunar Tower for Instruments (SELTI) project. One of the most important technologies is the material the tower consists of. In their study, the researchers looked at two types of material: the corrugated rollable tubular boom (COROTUB) and collapsible tubular mast (CTM).
Let’s consider the design around COROTUB first. COROTUB is a patented technology designed for use with small satellites. For example, it would allow a CubeSat to deploy an antenna many times its size while still being rolled into a relatively compact package. Adapting the technology to a deployable boom mast for use on the Moon is an obvious next step.
CTM, on the other hand, is commercially available from Opterus. It is designed to roll flat into a shape similar to a roll of tape. Once deployed, it is capable of supporting a payload located at the top of the mast. Its design seems much simpler than COROTUB’s, but on the surface, they have almost equivalent weight limits.
However, one of the most essential features of these towers doesn’t lie in the boom material itself but in the supporting structure – in this case, that is a cable. The paper looks at designs with and without supporting cables that could counteract the force of the instruments at the top of the boom, forcing them to slouch to one side. Imagine a giant sunflower with its pedals bending to one side, but on the other side, there’s a metal cable holding it in place.
The systems with this supporting cable structure perform superiorly by pretty much every metric the authors used. The methods they used included a type of mathematical analysis known as the Rayleigh-Ritz method, which is typically used to calculate loads on structures. But the math for those structures on the Moon is different from the same on Earth. For one, much less gravity and no wind would require additional support.
However, the system must undergo massive temperature differences based on whether it is located on the lit or unlit side of the Moon. For now, those did not seem to be part of the calculations used in the analysis.
COROTUB and CMT are also not the only potential technologies looking to solve this problem. We previously reported on project LUNARSABER from Honeybee Robotics, whose 100m tall masts would solve a problem similar to the one addressed by COROTUB and CMT-based towers. While it remains to be seen which technology is used on a complete prototype on the Moon, the fact that more than one organization is looking into the technology is a good indication of promise. And since hosting literal lights is one of the use cases for these towers, it is only a matter of time before more light is shone on this technology – and the lunar surface underneath it.
It’s not long before a conversation about space travel is likely to turn to the impact on the human body. Our bodies have evolved to exist on Earth with a constant force of 1G acting upon them but up in orbit, all of a sudden that force is apparently lacking. The impact of this is well known; muscle loss and reduction in bone density but there are effects of spaceflight. Cosmic radiation from the Galaxy has an impact on cognition too, an effect that has recently been studied in mice!
When an object like the space station is in orbit around the Earth it is in a state known as freefall. This means it is constantly falling to Earth but the curvature of the Earth is constantly falling away from it. In other words, it is constantly falling but never reaches the ground. This state means anyone or anything inside the space station would also fall at the same rate but this would be experienced as floating. Muscle loss and reduction in bone density are the well known impacts of such an environment but there are more that await a space traveller.
Galactic cosmic radiation (GCR) is made up of energy originating from sources outside of our Solar System. These tend to be from supernova explosions and other energetic events in deep space. The particles from GCR are mostly protons and electrons along with some heavier nuclei. They can penetrate our atmosphere but the Earth’s magnetic field offers some protection to those on the surface. To those venturing out into space, things are a little less rosey for GCR can have quite an impact on astronauts.
GCR is a real problem for longer duration space exploration like trips to Mars since currently, the radiation can penetrate spacecraft shielding and be a real threat to human health. Studies to date have shown that GCR can have an effect cognitive abilities on mice in the short term however a new study paints a rather more bleak picture. The paper published in the Journal of Neurochemistry reports that GCR exposure can have long lasting effects too.
Surprisingly, the team studied the impact on both male and female mice by subjecting them to a multi-particle spectrum GCR similar to the radiation that would be experienced on a deep space mission. The experiment was undertaken at Brookhaven National Laboratory where a 33-ion beam was used to simulate radiation from space. The team found that the radiation impaired numerous central nervous system functions from memory, pattern separation (when the brain minimises overlap between patterns of neuronal activity that represents similar experiences), anxiety, vigilance, social novelty (tendency to spend time with a previously unknown mouse rather than a familiar mouse!) and motor controls.
The discovery that the impact on females was more pronounced was unexpected but the team also established that mice which were fed an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory drugs known as CDDO-EA were less effected. The findings will be of immediate benefit to space exploration but will also help us to understand the long term impact on our cognition from radiation.

Story by Andrew Paul
(Photo : UTokyo | 東京大学/ X) Living microbes found in 2-billion-year-old rock from South Africa could be a time capsule to the early evolution of life on Earth and improve our chances of finding evidence of life on Mar.
A sealed rock fracture almost 50 feet below ground has remained home to microbes for the last 2 billion years—the oldest life ever discovered in such conditions. The nearly 1-foot sample, excavated beneath South Africa’s Bushveld Igneous Complex, predates the previous microbial record-holders by as much as 1.9 billion years. The finding could help researchers better understand the earliest stages of evolutionary life not just on Earth, but on Mars, as well.
The findings, published October 2 in the journal Microbial Ecology, come from a team at the University of Tokyo’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, who confirmed the previous oldest known lifeforms in 2020.
“We didn’t know if 2-billion-year-old rocks were habitable… so this is a very exciting discovery,” Yohey Suzuki, study lead author and an associate professor in the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Science, said in a statement on Thursday.

Uncovering microbes hidden from the surface world for eons required building upon the researchers’ previous methodologies for determining an organism’s age and origin. Doing so required combining three types of imaging approaches—electron microscopy, fluorescent microscopy, and infrared spectroscopy—to confirm if the microbial life really was that old, or if it came from accidental contamination during excavation and analysis. After staining the cells’ DNA, researchers looked at the microbes’ proteins as well as their surrounding clay habitat, and determined them to be both alive and native to the fissure sample.
How the microbes have been able to continue existing longer than almost any other life on Earth likely comes in large part from their habitat. Located in northeastern South Africa, the Bushveld Igneous Complex (BIC) is a roughly 41,000-square-mile region known for rich deposits of ore, including an estimated 70 percent of all mined platinum. Billions of years ago, volcanic magma cooled incrementally beneath the Earth’s surface in regions as thick as 5.6 miles.
These formations have remained largely unchanged since then, but also include tiny fissures in which microbial life became densely packed. At the same time, clay sediment capped any gaps near these cracks, trapping the tiny organisms inside while allowing nothing else to enter. Experts theorize that allowed the stability for microbial life to continue at an extremely slow pace with little-to-no evolutionary changes. With further exploration, the team hopes to detail what some of the planet’s earliest life looked like billions of years before the arrival of humans.

Future findings aren’t necessarily limited to expanding our understanding of how organisms evolved on Earth over time. The research team hopes their additional discoveries can one day also help search for evidence of life on Mars.
“NASA’s Mars rover Perseverance is currently due to bring back rocks that are a similar age to those we used in this study,” Suzuki explained. “Finding microbial life in samples from Earth… makes me excited for what we might be able to now find in samples from Mars.”

Deep space exploration might no longer be confined to sci-fi after scientists began testing a rocket thruster which promises to boldly go further than ever before.
Astro engineers from the University of Southampton are trialing a new propulsion system which can power spaceships through the stars using any type of metal as fuel.
They say this means crafts fitted with the technology could fly indefinitely by refilling their tanks using minerals harvested from asteroids or far-off moons.
Lead scientist Dr. Minkwan Kim, from the University of Southampton, has been tasked with testing the propulsion system in his labs to measure its thrust.
He said the tech could help spaceships and probes travel to regions of the universe previously thought unreachable.
Dr. Kim added, "Spacecraft have limited amounts of fuel because of the enormous cost and energy it takes to launch them into space.
"But these new thrusters are capable of being powered by any metal that can burn, such as iron, aluminum or copper.
"Once fitted, spacecraft could land on a comet or moon, rich in these minerals, and harvest what it needs before jetting off with a full tank.
"It could open up vast new frontiers and accelerate our understanding of the universe."
Once blasted above the Earth's atmosphere, spacecraft are mostly propelled by rare gas phase fuels such as xenon or krypton, which also power the Starlink satellites.
Scientists from Southampton are working with British-based space firm Magdrive on the propulsion system. The technology is named Super Magdrive.
Dr. Kim, who created a plasma thruster design for the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched last year, said he hopes the tech can be used for future deep-space missions.
He added, "The system could help us explore new planets, seek out new life, and go where no human has gone before—enabling never-ending discovery."
Lunar Ice Deposits are More Extensive than Previously Thought
Lunar Ice Deposits are More Extensive than Previously Thought
Prior studies found signs of ice in the permanently shadowed regions near the south pole of the Moon, including areas within Cabeus, Haworth, Shoemaker and Faustini craters. A new analysis of data from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) shows there is widespread evidence of water ice within permanently shadowed regions outside the south pole, towards at least 77 degrees south latitude.
This illustration shows the distribution of permanently shadowed regions (in blue) on the Moon poleward of 80 degrees south latitude. They are superimposed on a digital elevation map of the lunar surface (gray) from the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter instrument on board NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.

Ice could become implanted in lunar regolith through comet and meteor impacts, released as vapor (gas) from the lunar interior, or be formed by chemical reactions between hydrogen in the solar wind and oxygen in the regolith.
The permanently shadowed regions (PSRs) typically occur in topographic depressions near the lunar poles.
Because of the low Sun angle, these areas haven’t seen sunlight for up to billions of years, so are perpetually in extreme cold.
Ice molecules are thought to be repeatedly dislodged from the regolith by meteorites, space radiation, or sunlight and travel across the lunar surface until they land in a PSR where they are entrapped by extreme cold.
The PSR’s continuously cold surfaces can preserve ice molecules near the surface for perhaps billions of years, where they may accumulate into a deposit that is rich enough to mine.
“Our model and analysis show that greatest ice concentrations are expected to occur near the PSRs’ coldest locations below 75 Kelvin (minus 198 degrees Celsius, or minus 325 degrees Fahrenheit) and near the base of the poleward-facing slopes of PSRs,” said Dr. Timothy McClanahan, a researcher at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.
“We can’t accurately determine the volume of the PSRs’ ice deposits or identify if they might be buried under a dry layer of regolith.”
“However, we expect that for each surface 1 m2 residing over these deposits there should be at least about five more liters of ice within the surface top 1 m, as compared to their surrounding areas.”
Dr. McClanahan and colleagues used LRO’s Lunar Exploration Neutron Detector (LEND) instrument to detect signs of ice deposits by measuring moderate-energy, ‘epithermal’ neutrons.
Specifically, they used LEND’s Collimated Sensor for Epithermal Neutrons (CSETN) that has a fixed 30-km (18.6 mile) diameter field-of-view.
Neutrons are created by high-energy galactic cosmic rays that come from powerful deep-space events such as exploding stars, that impact the lunar surface, break up regolith atoms, and scatter subatomic particles called neutrons.
The neutrons, which can originate from up to about a 1-m (3.3-foot) depth, ping-pong their way through the regolith, running into other atoms. Some get directed into space, where they can be detected by LEND.
Since hydrogen is about the same mass as a neutron, a collision with hydrogen causes the neutron to lose relatively more energy than a collision with most common regolith elements.
So, where hydrogen is present in regolith, its concentration creates a corresponding reduction in the observed number of moderate-energy neutrons.
“We hypothesized that if all PSRs have the same hydrogen concentration, then CSETN should proportionally detect their hydrogen concentrations as a function of their areas,” Dr. McClanahan said.
“So, more hydrogen should be observed towards the larger-area PSRs.”
The findings were published this week in the Planetary Science Journal.

Shocking Discovery About Moon's Water Resources: A New Perspective on Lunar Exploration | Explore
Physicist Michael Pravica claims that human consciousness arises from hidden dimensions of the universe rather than solely from brain activity. He suggests that Jesus could be a hyperdimensional being, as referenced in the Bible. According to him, our consciousness has the ability to transcend the physical world during moments of heightened awareness.
Dr. Michael Pravica’s theory is about the idea that the universe has more dimensions than the four we know: height, length, width, and time. He explains this concept using a hypothetical scenario involving a two-dimensional being. “Imagine you’re a two-dimensional being living in a two-dimensional world, like a character in a comic book,” he stated. As a three-dimensional sphere passes through, it would appear as a dot that grows and shrinks, illustrating how limited perceptions can hinder understanding of higher dimensions.
Michael Pravica is an expert in general physics, specializing in high-pressure science, X-ray spectroscopies, and nuclear magnetic resonance. He studies matter under extreme conditions, focusing on high pressure, temperature, and radiation, while also advocating for science through media outreach.
Dr. Pravica has developed innovative concepts like “useful hard X-ray chemistry” for novel chemical reactions and Ion Beam Nuclear Transmutation Doping for semiconductor doping. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Physics from Harvard University and a B.S. in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the California Institute of Technology.
Hyperdimensionality, Bible & Jesus!
Dr. Pravica concept ties into the theory of hyperdimensionality, or the idea that our universe is not just made up of the three dimensions we perceive. Instead, the universe might actually be part of a much larger nexus with hidden dimensions, he suggests.
If this controversial theory turns out to be true, we would have to accept not only that some beings may be residing outside the physical realm, free from the limitations of space and time, but also that our consciousness might have a similar capacity, He claims.
Dr. Pravica is an Orthodox Christian who earned a Ph.D. from Harvard. He thinks hyperdimensionality is a special way to connect his scientific knowledge with his religious beliefs. This idea puts him outside traditional scientific views, as he takes common ideas to new extremes to explore complex topics.
He believes that hyperdimensionality is more common than we realize. For instance, he suggests that Jesus could be a hyperdimensional being, among others. “According to the Bible, Jesus ascended into heaven 40 days after being on Earth. How do you ascend into heaven if you’re a four-dimensional creature?” Dr. Pravica asks. But, if you’re hyperdimensional, it’s very easy to travel from our familiar world into heaven, which could be a world of higher or infinite dimensions, he says. (Source)
Pravica believes that we all have the ability to connect with higher dimensions when we use our brains in certain ways. This can happen when we create art, do scientific work, think about deep questions, or even explore different places in our dreams
During these times, our awareness goes beyond the physical world and connects with these higher dimensions, which then inspire us with new ideas and creativity. Pravica says, “The fact that we can imagine dimensions beyond the four we see is a special gift… it goes beyond just biology.”
This idea of our consciousness connecting with higher dimensions relates to advanced physics theories like string theory.
String theory suggests that everything in the universe, from tiny particles to the forces between them, is made up of tiny, vibrating strings. The way these strings vibrate in hidden dimensions creates all the different particles and forces we see. Pravica explains, “String theory is basically about understanding how the universe is built on a very small scale.”
Hyperdimensionality might help us understand why spacetime is curved. This means that space and time bend around huge objects like stars or planets, creating gravity. Pravica suggests that if spacetime is curved, it could be because of a higher dimension.
Many physicists believe in the idea of higher dimensions, but not everyone agrees with Pravica’s thoughts on how hyperdimensionality connects to consciousness. Some scientists might even see these ideas as very unconventional or as an extreme logical argument that doesn’t hold up.
Skepticism
Dr. Pravica believes in a view of God that fills in the gaps where science doesn’t have answers. Stephen Holler, a physics professor at Fordham University, explains that this way of thinking is not helpful. It stops people from being curious and learning more about the world. Instead of saying “I don’t know,” people should see that admitting ignorance is a chance to learn.
Holler gives an example from history to show how science improves our understanding. In the past, people thought the Earth was at the center of the universe (the geocentric model). To explain the movement of planets, they created complicated ideas like epicycles, which were small circles added to the larger paths of planets around Earth. This made things confusing and delayed the acceptance of the correct model, where the sun is at the center (the heliocentric model). Holler points out that while exploring new ideas can be exciting, we should be careful not to get lost in unnecessary complexity that doesn’t reflect reality.
Moreover, the limitations of current technology, such as the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), pose challenges to exploring these dimensions. The LHC, which smashes particles at high speeds, allows physicists to study fundamental particles but cannot access the high-dimensional strings predicted by quantum physics. Holler states that “not even the most powerful particle accelerator in the world can provide real proof that these dimensions exist,” reinforcing the need for concrete evidence.
Agree with Dr. Pravica or not but there is more to consciousness. Billionaire Robert Bigelow the only billionaire who spent millions of dollars searching for the soul or consciousness after death, and what he found might disturb you. We are all servants of a supreme consciousness. He claims that G-LOC makes our consciousness leave the body, allowing us to see beyond the room while being outside the body.
In an interview with Jeffrey Mishlove, billionaire Robert Bigelow discusses how out-of-body experiences can be triggered artificially. He learned about this from an Air Force general who had such an experience during centrifuge training. In this training, people endure high gravitational forces until they pass out. The general described how, after one session, he saw himself from above, observing his body walking and hearing conversations he wouldn’t normally hear. Separately, in 1962, American engineers found unusual electromagnetic signals aimed at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, leading the Pentagon to start a secret program to replicate these effects. Years later, the U.S. studied the Soviet interest in controlling human behavior through psychic means, fearing it was a threat.
The U.S. military has conducted extensive research into this potentially dangerous phenomenon and has officially named the experience “G-LOC.” The popular television show Sightings did an entire segment on G-LOC-induced OBEs that was titled “Simulated Out-of-Body Experiences.” Several U.S. military pilots participated in an experiment where G-LOC was created in a NASA centrifuge. Each interviewed pilot reported that he had passed out and then described a detailed out-of-body state of consciousness.”— The Secret of the Soul: Using Out-of-Body Experiences to Understand Our True Nature by William Buhlman. (Source)
Even though Holler identifies as nonreligious and an atheist, he acknowledges that spiritual beliefs that are consistent with established physical principles can strengthen both faith and science. Still, he says that “hyperdimensionality borders on science fiction.”
Dr. Pravica has faith that, within his children’s lifetime, we’ll figure out a way to generate the incredibly high energies required to investigate other dimensions. Meanwhile, he remains a vocal supporter of hyperdimensionality.
“I see no point otherwise,” he says. “Why study? Why live?” Hyperdimensionality gives the physicist a purpose, a happiness that “transcends this universe.”
The shocking official CIA documents on human consciousness that says Consciousness is not a part of our body at all, it’s stored in our brain, but not a part of it. Our consciousness (us) is its own being, a ghost version of us.
If you were asked to visualise Antarctica, it's likely a vast white landscape would spring to mind.
But a concerning new study might have you rethinking that image in your head.
Experts from the universities of Exeter and Hertfordshire have warned that Antarctica is turning green - with climate changeto blame.
Their analysis shows that vegetation cover across the Antarctic Peninsula has increased more than tenfold over the last four decades.
'Our findings raise serious concerns about the environmental future of the Antarctic Peninsula, and of the continent as a whole,' said Dr Thomas Roland, who led the study.
If you were asked to visualise Antarctica, it's likely a vast white landscape would spring to mind. But a concerning new study might have you rethinking that image in your head. Pictured: a WorldView-2 Satellite Image of Robert Island (top) and the same image after the analysis, showing areas of vegetated land in bright green (bottom)
Previous studies have shown that, like many polar regions, the Antarctic Peninsula is warming faster than the global average. Pictured: Green Island
Previous studies have shown that, like many polar regions, the Antarctic Peninsula is warming faster than the global average.
In their new study, the researchers set out to understand how much of the area has 'greened' in response to this warming.
The team analysed satellite images taken across the Peninsula over the last 40 years.
Back in 1986, the images show that just one square kilometre of the Peninsula was covered with vegetation.
However, by 2021, this area had increased to almost 12 square kilometres.
Speaking to MailOnline, Dr Roland explained that while simple before-and-after photos would be 'impactful', they were not possible.
'Sadly we only have "very high resolution" images from 2013 and 2016,' he said.
'Whilst the increases in vegetation we observe over this short window are in line with our overall greening trend (1986-2021) the visual difference is not that remarkable!
'In turn, a single image from the coarser resolution satellite we use for the main study (where we have hundreds of images over the full 35 year period), I suspect, would not be perceived as good enough "quality" as to be impactful.'
The team analysed satellite images taken across the Peninsula over the last 40 years, and found that vegetation cover has increased significantly
Back in 1986, just one square kilometre of the Peninsula was covered with vegetaion. However, by 2021, this area had increased to almost 12 square kilometres. Pictured: Norsel Point
Greening accelerated by over 30 per cent in recent years (2016-2021) relative to the full study period (1986-2021) – expanding by over 400,000 square metres per year in this period. Pictured: Barrientos Island
The study also found that the greening is happening quicker and quicker.
Greening accelerated by over 30 per cent in recent years (2016-2021) relative to the full study period (1986-2021) – expanding by over 400,000 square metres per year in this period.
'The plants we find on the Antarctic Peninsula – mostly mosses – grow in perhaps the harshest conditions on Earth,' said Dr Roland.
'The landscape is still almost entirely dominated by snow, ice and rock, with only a tiny fraction colonised by plant life.
'But that tiny fraction has grown dramatically – showing that even this vast and isolated 'wilderness' is being affected by anthropogenic climate change.'
Worryingly, the researchers say that as these ecosystems become more established and temperatures continue to rise, the extent of the greening will increase.
Experts from the universities of Exeter and Hertfordshire have warned that Antarctica is turning green - with climate change to blame. Pictured: Ardley Island
Dr Olly Bartlett, co-author of the study, said: 'Soil in Antarctica is mostly poor or non-existent, but this increase in plant life will add organic matter, and facilitate soil formation – potentially paving the way for other plants to grow.
'This raises the risk of non-native and invasive species arriving, possibly carried by eco-tourists, scientists or other visitors to the continent.'
Based on the findings, the team is calling for 'urgent' research into the specific mechanisms behind the greening trend.
'The sensitivity of the Antarctic Peninsula's vegetation to climate change is now clear and, under future anthropogenic warming, we could see fundamental changes to the biology and landscape of this iconic and vulnerable region,' Dr Roland added.
'In order to protect Antarctica, we must understand these changes and identify precisely what is causing them.

Unveiling The Reasons Why UFO/UAP Technologies Have Been Hidden
An upcoming documentary is set to shed light on the mysterious tale of a Manhattan housewife and mom-of-two who claimed she was abducted by a UFO in the late 80s.
The docuseries, titled The Manhattan AlienAbduction, tells the story of Linda Napolitano, who is convinced she was abducted from her bedroom in New York on November 30, 1989.
The series attempts to uncover the true story behind the UFO communities biggest mysteries - with Napolitano, who used the pseudonym Linda Cortile initially - directly involved with the documentary's creation.
The trailer, which was recently released online, contains interviews with Napolitano recalling what happened on the night that she said changed her life, as well as archival footage from the years following the alleged extra-terrestrial experience.
'They saw me hanging from my window,' Napolitano says in the trailer, as the footage flashes between the Brooklyn Bridge and enactments featuring a woman in a white nightgown floating above a Manhattan apartment building.

'I don't know why they're keeping it from the public, but we're not alone,' another voice says, while someone else declares it 'the greatest abduction case in the world' - alleging there were '23 witnesses.'
Napolitano's case is still a source of controversy online today, with some questioning the reliability of the story and question what evidence is available to support Napolitano's claims.
Noted abduction researcher, Budd Hopkins, believed her story and began conducting an exhaustive investigation on Napolitano's case in February 1991.
He came to New York with his wife at the time, Carol Rainey, who said he found Napolitano's story to be 'very credible.'
'She was pulling the wool over Budd's eyes,' another woman said, while others said psychosis was to blame.
The trailer shows Hopkins guiding Napolitano through various techniques - such as hypnosis - to explore her memories of the event which revealed more detail.
According to an article published on UPI in 1994, Napolitano claims that in the early morning hours of November 30, 1989, she was visited by a 'grey biped.'
She said she was then levitated by a blue beam through the window of her 12th floor Manhattan apartment.
Napolitano, who used the pseudonym Linda Cortile initially - directly involved with the documentary's creation (pictured with Hopkins)
Napolitano's case is still a source of controversy online today, with some questioning the reliability of the story and question what evidence is available to support Napolitano's claims
Napolitano says she was levitated by a blue beam through the window of her 12th floor Manhattan apartment in 1989
The article noted that Hopkins reported that he had received a letter from security agents - signed only Richard and Dan - who claimed to have seen a figure floating in the night sky.
In the note, they reportedly said 'we can't live with ourselves' for not sharing what they saw.
Richard and Dan said they saw three 'strange figures' and a 'young woman in a white gown' floating through an apartment window and then transported to a UFO.
As per HiggyPop, a website dedicated to stories of paranormal activity, there have been suggests that political figure the bodyguards were protecting may have been Javier Perez de Cuéllar, the Secretary-General of the United Nations at the time.
However, he has never confirmed his involvement.
The Manhattan Alien Abduction streams on Netflix from October 30.

Mysterious 'skyquakes' have been heard around the world for more than 200 years, but scientists have yet to uncover the cause and origin of the bizarre noises.
The sounds could be mistaken for a gunshot or a car backfiring, and have been heard in areas ranging from Belgium and Japan to the Finger Lakes region in New York.
Scientists have tried to uncover where the resounding booms are coming, proposing theories like a meteor exploding in the atmosphere, military exercises, quarry blasts and distant storms or earthquakes.
A strange skyquake has shaken the world since the early 1800s, causing scientists to speculate what could be the cause. They have considered earthquakes, military exercises and storm blasts - but none seem to be the root cause
The first skyquakes were documented in 1811 after people in New Madrid, Missouri heard the strange sounds during a 7.2-magnitude earthquake.
Residents reported hearing 'artillery-like sounds' before or during the quake hit.
Similar noises were then reported during an earthquake in Charleston, South Carolina in August 1886, which were heard for weeks afterward the 7.3-magnittude.
The skyquakes were described them as a 'roaring sound' or 'loud detonations.'
These noises have also been labeled as Lake Guns or Seneca Guns, after Seneca Lake in central New York state which also experienced the phenomena in 1850.
James Fenimore Cooper, who lived in Seneca Lakes during one of these skyquakes, described the experience in his short story 'The Lake Gun.'
'It is a sound resembling the explosion of a heavy piece of artillery, that can be accounted for by none of the known laws of nature,' Cooper wrote.
'The report is deep, hollow, distant and imposing. The lake seems to be speaking to the surrounding hills, which send back the echoes of its voice in accurate reply.'
In the years that followed, the booms were unidentifiable due to their random timing and were unaffiliated with any other natural events.
It wasn't until 2020 that scientists started using seismic data obtained from the EarthScope Transportable Array (ESTA) since 2013.
ESTA is a network of more than 400 seismic stations across the US that detects earthquakes, volcanoes and landslides.
A team of researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill cross-referenced ESTA's data with news articles to determine if the noises were caused by earthquakes.
'Generally speaking, we believe this is an atmospheric phenomenon – we don't think it's coming from seismic activity,' Eli Bird who, a researcher who was involved in the study told Live Science at the time.
'We're assuming it's propagating through the atmosphere rather than the ground.'
The researchers speculated that another possibility could be bolides - which are space rocks that explode when they hit the Earth's atmosphere.
Bird said another possibility could be oceanic events like large waves crashing offshore or thunder cracking over the ocean.
'The atmospheric conditions could be such that that gets amplified in a particular direction, or is primarily affecting this localized area,' he told Live Science.
However, despite their efforts, seismologists have still been unable to definitively pinpoint where the skyquakes are coming from.
Residents in 15 Alabama counties were shocked by a boom in November 2017, prompting them to call 911 operators in fear.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham informed people that they couldn't clearly explain the noise and satellite imagery and radar scans didn't show signs of an explosion in the region.
The agency posted on X at the time a similar sentiment that is still being relayed today: 'We don't have an answer, and we can only hypothesize with you.'
It's the mythical creature that has captured the attention of people around the world for decades.
And now the search for the Loch Ness monster has been taken up a gear.
Shaun Sloggie, a seasoned Loch Ness skipper, was cruising across the loch when he spotted a mysterious shape on sonar.
While its source remains unclear, Sloggie, 30, admits he's 'never seen anything like it'.
'The strangeness of it was chilling – it's the sort of thing that leaves you speechless,' he said.

The sonar indicated that a large, object was lurking at a depth of around 98-metres, described by the stunned skipper as 'the biggest thing I've ever seen'
Slogg and maritime pilot Liam McKenzie, 29, were doing their usual rounds at Cruise Loch Ness when they stumbled upon the strange shape.
On September 22, 2024, while preparing for another vessel's arrival, Sloggie's sonar flashed up.
The sonar indicated that a large object was lurking at a depth of around 98-metres.
He described it as 'the biggest thing I've ever seen.'
With its elongated shape and distinct features hinting at air pockets, the team couldn't help but wonder if the sonar reading was tied to the infamous Loch Ness Monster.

Despite returning to the scene to investigate, the mysterious contact had vanished, leaving the team baffled
'We've seen all sorts of fish that shouldn't be here, but this? This was different,' Sloggie said.
Despite returning to the scene to investigate, the mysterious contact had vanished, leaving the team baffled.
Sloggie admitted: 'We're not sonar experts, but I've never seen anything like it.'
Spookily, the last major sonar contact in Loch Ness occurred almost exactly four years ago, on September 24, 2020.
The news comes shortly after a photographer revealed 'compelling' photographs of what she suggests is the mythical Loch Ness Monster, after keeping them a secret for five years.

Chie Kelly, 52, took the pictures of the creature from Scottish folklore half a decade ago but did not share them out of fear of public ridicule.
The first 15 images were revealed last year and now The Cryptid Factor podcast has released and analysed all 71 frames. It hoped that the photographs taken by Ms Kelly, who works as a translator, would spark debate in investigators around the world.
The images have been put into a video and appear to show something moving across the loch in the Highlands.
Despite many images of the so-called monster - including a famous photograph taken in 1934 by Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson - proven to be fakes, it has not stopped tourists flocking to the area each year in hope of seeing the mythical beast.
Rumours of a strange creature living in the waters of Loch Ness have abounded over the decades, yet scant evidence has been found to back up these claims.
One of the first sightings, believed to have fuelled modern Nessie fever, came in May 2, 1933.
On this date the Inverness Courier carried a story about a local couple who claim to have seen 'an enormous animal rolling and plunging on the surface'.
Another famous claimed sighting is a photograph taken in 1934 by Colonel Robert Kenneth Wilson.
It was later exposed as a hoax by one of the participants, Chris Spurling, who, on his deathbed, revealed that the pictures were staged.
Other sightings James Gray's picture from 2001 when he and friend Peter Levings were out fishing on the Loch, while namesake Hugh Gray's blurred photo of what appears to be a large sea creature was published in the Daily Express in 1933.
Robert Kenneth Wilson, a London physician, captured arguably the most famous image of the Loch Ness Monster. The surgeon’s photograph was published in the Daily Mail on April 21, 1934 - however it was later proven to be a fake
The first reported sighting of the monster is said to have been made in AD565 by the Irish missionary St Columba when he came across a giant beast in the River Ness.
But no one has ever come up with a satisfactory explanation for the sightings - although in 2019, 'Nessie expert' Steve Feltham, who has spent 24 years watching the Loch, said he thought it was actually a giant Wels Catfish, native to waters near the Baltic and Caspian seas in Europe.
An online register lists more than 1,000 total Nessie sightings, created by Mr Campbell, the man behind the Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club and is available at www.lochnesssightings.com.
So what could explain these mysterious sightings?
Many Nessie witnesses have mentioned large, crocodile-like scutes sitting atop the spine of the creature, leading some to believe an escaped amphibian may be to blame.
Native fish sturgeons can also weigh several hundred pounds and have ridged backs, which make them look almost reptilian.
Some believe Nessie is a long-necked plesiosaur - like an elasmosaur - that survived somehow when all the other dinosaurs were wiped out.
Others say the sightings are down to Scottish pines dying and flopping into the loch, before quickly becoming water-logged and sinking.
While submerged, botanical chemicals start trapping tiny bubbles of air.
Eventually, enough of these are gathered to propel the log upward as deep pressures begin altering its shape, giving the appearance of an animal coming up for air.

The asteroid that killed the dinosaurs was NOT alone: Scientists discover evidence that a second devastating space rock smashed into Earth 66 million years ago
It's well known that the reign of the dinosaurs came to an end when a giant asteroid smashed into Earth 66 million years ago.
But a new study suggests that this huge asteroid wasn't alone.
Scientists from Heriot Watt University have discovered evidence that a second devastating space rock smashed into Earth in the same year.
This second asteroid measured around 1,640ft (500 metres) wide, and struck Earth just off the coast of the Republic of Guinea in West Africa.
'The closest humans have come to seeing something like this is the 1908 Tunguska event, when a 50-metre asteroid entered Earth's atmosphere and exploded in the skies above Siberia,' said Dr Uisdean Nicholson, who led the study.

The first evidence of this second asteroid was uncovered in 2022, while Dr Nicholson and his team were studying seismic reflection data of the Atlantic Ocean's seabed.
The data revealed a depression measuring almost five miles (9km) deep, which the team suspected could be an asteroid impact crater.
Now, the researchers have taken new high-resolution, 3D seismic images of the depression, which have confirmed their suspicions.
The crater has been dubbed the Nadir Crater, and was carved out when an asteroid struck Earth around 66 million years ago – the same age as the dinosaur-killing asteroid.
'There are around 20 confirmed marine craters worldwide, and none of them has been captured in anything close to this level of detail. It's exquisite,' Dr Nicholson said.
Now, the researchers have taken new high-resolution, 3D seismic images of the depression, which have confirmed their suspicions
Scientists from Heriot Watt University have discovered evidence that a second devastating space rock smashed into Earth in the same year as the one that wiped out the dinosaurs
'Craters on the surface are usually heavily eroded and we can only see what is exposed, whereas craters on other planetary bodies usually only show the surface expression.
'These data allow us to image this fully in three dimensions and peel back the layers of sedimentary rock to look at the crater at all levels.'
Back in 2022, the researchers suggested that the asteroid would have been around 400 metres wide.
However, the new images confirm that it was even bigger than this.
Dr Nicholson said: 'We now think it was 450-500m wide, because of the larger crater size as shown by the 3D data.
'We can tell it came from about 20-40 degrees to the northeast, because of spiralling thrust-generated ridges surrounding the crater's central peak - those are only formed following a low-angle oblique impact.
'And we think it would have hit Earth at about 20 km per second, or 72,000 km per hour, although we still need to confirm this with a new set of impact models.'
This second asteroid measured around 1,640ft (500 metres) wide, and struck Earth just off the coast of the Republic of Guinea in West Africa (Nadir Crater, pictured)
Based on the data, the scientists have created a timeline of what they think happened – from the initial collision to an 800-metre-plus high tsunami that would have travelled across the Atlantic ocean.
'After the impact and the central uplift forming, the soft sediments surrounding the crater flowed inwards towards the evacuated crater floor, creating a visible "brim",' Dr Nicholson explained.
'The earthquake shaking caused by the impact appears to have liquefied the sediments below the seabed across the entire plateau, causing faults to form below the seabed.
'The impact was also associated with large landslides as the plateau margin collapsed below the ocean.
'As well as this, we see evidence for a train of tsunami waves going away from, then back towards the crater, with large resurge scars preserving evidence of this catastrophic event.'
While it's been 116 years since an asteroid like this has been seen, it likely won't be long before another huge space rock strikes our planet, according to NASA.
The US space agency predicts that asteroid Bennu has a one in 2,700 chance of smashing into Earth on 24 September 2182.
Vragen zonder antwoorden Het universum verbergt veel mysteries.
Danny Goler, a filmmaker, is working on the documentary “The Discovery“, in which he reveals a groundbreaking experiment that he believes could change everything we think we know about the universe. He claims that by projecting a diffracted laser onto a surface and ingesting DMT, you can see the code running through reality, strongly suggesting that we live in a digital world.
This experiment involves DMT, which led to an extraordinary discovery about reality. It reveals how DMT, a powerful hallucinogenic compound, became a tool for expanding their understanding of reality. They describe the intense visual phenomena that accompanied the experience, which appeared to reveal hidden layers of reality.
Danny said how they projected a laser on a surface while under the influence of DMT, which revealed what seemed to be patterns of code reminiscent of “The Matrix.” Multiple people were shown this phenomenon, and all reported seeing similar visuals, implying the experience was not purely subjective.
It reflects on two possible interpretations of this experience:
Losing their mind in a spectacular way.
Making one of the greatest discoveries of humankind, potentially supporting the idea that reality is a kind of simulation, like in “The Matrix.”
Historically, humans have tried to explore altered states of consciousness through psychedelics, but this experience, as described, represents a repeatable, observable phenomenon. Danny feels they’ve stumbled upon something profound, suggesting it could change the way people view reality.
The phenomenon of seeing “code” while using DMT evokes themes from the movie “The Matrix,” where reality is revealed to be a computer simulation. Danny strongly believes this discovery points toward the existence of something beyond our normal perception of reality
“Psychonauts” Training to Explore Another Dimension
There’s a study they did or it’s still going on where they’re giving a continuous drop of DMT to volunteers to see if they can map out the DMT realm. For several years, researchers have been developing an approach to extend the DMT experience to hours, or even days, by intravenously delivering the drug to carefully maintain its concentration in the brain. For science. And now, a Colorado organization called DMTx is training a dozen brave psychonauts to go on these deep journeys into innerspace.
Much of the theory behind DMTx comes from a 2016 paper in Frontiers in Physiology by Andrew Gallimore and Rick Strassman, in which the authors laid out a method to maintain a stable brain concentration of DMT using intravenous infusion. (Source)
“The phenomenological content of dream states and hallucinations in psychotic disorders have been studied extensively,” the authors wrote, “whilst the endogenous human hallucinogen DMT reliably and reproducibly generates one of the most unusual states of consciousness available, its phenomenology has only begun to be characterized.”
One of the psychonauts, Kevin Thorbahn, who’s been in DMTx’s program now for around four years since first tuning into the idea on that fateful late-night drive, thinks there are two types of people who are attracted to powerful psychedelics. (Source)
First, of course, there are those who like to party—dorm-room floor disciples. “And then there’s another type that look at it as more of an experiment,” he explains. They “want to explore and really understand these medicines at a deeper level.”
He identifies with that second group. And his hopes for exploring the DMT space and what he can bring back are ambitious. “We might have to download some sort of information from these experiences … how to better ourselves and better the planet,” he says.
One study says 94% of DMT Users Experience Similar Otherworldly ‘Beings.’
Researchers are studying N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a powerful psychedelic drug that changes consciousness. As more people use DMT and clinical trials begin, it’s essential to understand the intense experiences it causes. (Source)
DMT can make users feel like they’re in a hyper-real, otherworldly place, meeting beings that aren’t themselves. Previous lab studies were limited, and online surveys had flaws. This study aims to deeply analyze the profound experiences DMT produces, including encounters with unknown entities, to better understand its effects.
Researchers analyzed people’s experiences after taking DMT, a powerful psychedelic drug. They found that these experiences were invariably profound and highly intense.
Two main categories emerged from the study. First, 94% of participants reported encountering unknown “beings” or entities. They described the entities’ role, appearance, demeanor, communication, and interaction. Second, 100% of participants experienced entering other “worlds” or immersive spaces, describing the scene and contents.
The study reveals rich and intense details about these encounters, shedding light on the nuances of the DMT experience. Interestingly, these experiences draw parallels with other extraordinary events, such as alien abductions, folklore and mythology, shamanic experiences, and near-death experiences.
The researchers discuss the potential neural mechanisms behind these experiences and the promise of DMT as a psychotherapeutic agent. By exploring the intricacies of the DMT experience, scientists may uncover new avenues for healing and personal growth.

Could some craters on asteroids be the result of alien mining activities?
Could some craters on asteroids be the result of alien mining activities?
Where do asteroids and planets get all those craters? Countless small circular craters, plus almost always a few that look like massive killers. Even more confusing is that these craters are at a perfect 90º angle, as if an electric arc had run across the surface.
According to ThunderboltsProject, the Electric Universe (EU) model, the scars observed on asteroids are caused by electric arcs which cut surface depressions, scoop out material, accelerate it into space, then leave behind clean-cut geological relief.
This theory is supported by Electric Discharge Machining (EDM), a process we use every day to shape materials with electric arcs, producing similar clean-cut effects.
This brings us to the following hypothesis: Could it be that, instead of craters on asteroids being formed solely by natural space phenomena, that all these craters at a perfect 90º angle with clean-cut geological relief are the result of asteroid mining originated by alien races who use advanced electric arc/laser technology by extracting raw minerals they urgently need for use on their planet or for in-space manufacturing?
Asteroids vary greatly in composition, ranging from those rich in volatile substances to those composed of metals like gold, silver, platinum, cobalt, and palladium, alongside more common elements such as iron and nickel. This makes them potential treasure troves of valuable resources.
For us as Earthlings, asteroid mining is a technology in its earliest stages and requires significant advances in robotic technology before asteroid mining becomes a reality, however, if more advanced civilizations exist elsewhere in the universe, it's quite plausible that some of them have already turned to asteroid mining long ago.
Could their efforts be leaving behind the very craters on asteroids we observe today?
