Ce film intéressant que nous vous présentons, aurait été enregistré par une caméra sur trépieds pour les caméscopes avec objectif 300mm, il montre un objet en forme de disque, qui apparaît à côté d'un avion commercial qui atterri dans un aéroport en Charleroi Belgique. La vidéo, Enregistrée le vendredi 25 Avril 2014 montre un nuage gris mystérieux, qui se produit juste quelques dizaines de mètres de la porte du commerce. A partir de ce nuage sort un objet en forme de disque qui à toute vitesse est dirigée vers le côté opposé par rapport à l'aéronef, vers la gauche par rapport à la vidéo. Alien Base Inside the Bucegi Mountains [Revised]

I. Short Introduction
In the summer of 2003, in an unexplored area of the Bucegi Mountains, a team from Zero Department (a top secret section of the Romanian Intelligence Service -- SRI), had made an epochal discovery, which could had completely change mankind's destiny. The United States of America exercised colossal diplomatic pressure on the Romanian Government, which intended to disclose the findings to the entire world. 
The implications became far more complex due to the brutal interference of the Order of the Illuminati, which sought to take control of both the location of the discovery, and the joint Romanian - American expedition. The expert on strange phenomena, and also the leader of operations for the Romanian State, Cezar Brad, is the “hero” of the shocking events that occurred in the Bucegi Mountains. He also had two memorable meetings with a leading representative of the Illuminati, and top Bilderberg member.

The Bucegi Mountains

II. A Strange Visit From the Most Powerful Bilderberg Member

In May 2003, Cezar was visited by a highly important character. The meeting request came through SRI, as a result of the government's intervention. The person was a foreigner, but spoke the Romanian language very well. He was also familiar with the country. The SRI informed Cezar that the visitor was a high ranking member of a very important Masonic lodge from Italy, he was a noble, and had very strong financial influence in Romania.

His political influence was also very high, since he was able to penetrate the wall of SRI agents and reach the DZ. Cezar felt a high pressure and a heavy weight around this person. He was surrounded by a cloud of heavy, unpleasant radiation which concealed his true intentions. For this meeting, Cezar prepared thoroughly, isolating himself in a room and falling into a state of deep meditation, to learn more about the person. A SRI helicopter brought this arrogant, tall gentleman, wearing a black suit. He had a cane with ivory handle and gold inlay. His face expressed harshness and his green eyes had a strange effect, radiating unusual coldness. He presented himself as Senior Massini (probably not the real name). He was very confident of his power and created the impression of a person who was used to give orders. He was the leader of one of the most important Masonic Lodges of Europe and also to one of the most influential Masonic organizations in the world: the Bilderberg Group.
Massini was very direct and stated that humans are of two kinds: those who can be manipulated and ruled (these form the majority), and those who have certain virtues and strong personalities. He said that his group is part of the highest Masonic order and is very interested in the outcome of the discussion. third hierarchical level. Massini invited Cezar to join the group, letting him understand that he will have many advantages. According to Cezar, Massini was both physically and psychical strong, which contrasted with his age. Unfortunately for him, his power was centered on a huge ego, arrogance and sense of superiority over the rest. Massini informed Cezar that he requested him personally, using his political influence, because he was impressed by Cezar's psychic power.            

III. The Pentagon Spies With Satellites      

A Pentagon satellite used for geodetic espionage, based on bionic technology and shape waves, discovered in 2002 a separate unit in a specific area of the Bucegi Mountains. The empty space inside the mountain had no correspondence with the outside, and looked like it was carved from the inside, by intelligent beings. It was definitely not a cave. The satellite scan of the mountain revealed two major energetic blocks. These barriers were made of artificial energy. The first one was like an energetic wall, blocking the access to the tunnel, while the second one was shaped like a dome (or hemisphere), and was located at the opposite end of the tunnel, near the center of the mountain.  Massini was sure that inside the dome they will discover something extremely important.  He had deep knowledge about the origin of this discovery and had knew of the existence of at least one item located inside the great hemispherical hall. The tunnel and dome were strangely aligned with the rock formations from the top of the mountain, known as "Babele" and the "Sphinx of Bucegi".

IV. A Similar Structure In Iraq   

The Pentagon team noted that the hemispherical energy barrier had the same vibrational frequency and the same shape as one other top secret underground structure that they had discovered prior, near Baghdad, Iraq. Shortly after this discovery, the Iraqi war broke out and after a few months, the Americans had access to the biggest secret in the area -- which the Iraqis knew nothing of.  
Massini explained Cezar that the content of that discovery had to do with Earth's mysterious past and the history of their secret organizations. When the Pentagon investigation noted the similarities between the underground structure of Baghdad and the one from the Bucegi Mountains, Massini and his masonic lodge became extremely agitated. Initially, they've almost panicked. The panic was due to the fact that this structure - much larger and more complex than the one from Iraq - is on Romania’s territory. (Apparently, Romania is probable to play an important role in the downfall of the secret societies that control the world and enslave mankind. It was also suggested that somewhere above the Bucegi Mountains, an energetic pyramid is located, which is invisible to the naked eye, and contains the real history of our planet. One can imagine their panic).  Massini brought to the drilling site an ultra sophisticated, hard rock drilling machine, used by the US military. The device used a strong plasma jet and a sort of rotating magnetic field, literally melting the rock with no visible effort.    

V. The Secrets of the Bucegi Mountains -- Year 2003     

They were able to achieve penetration about 60-70 meters away from the first energetic barrier, and reached the first gallery, which looked like a subway tunnel. Its walls were perfectly polished. At the end of the tunnel there was a massive stone gate, which was protected by an invisible energetic barrier. Three members of the first special intervention team tried to touch the door, and immediately died of cardiac arrest. Any object (rock, plastic, metal or wood) threw at the barrier, immediately turned into fine dust. Two generals from the Pentagon and the U.S. presidential adviser arrived on the spot.

VI. The Grand Gallery    

Beyond the formidable energy barrier, which caused the deaths of three people, there was also the solid rock gate. On the tunnel’s wall, just in front of the gate, there was an area of 20 square cm, on which there was precisely drawn an equilateral triangle pointing up. The square was located between the huge grinding stone gate and the invisible energy barrier.

Cezar felt that there is some kind of compatibility between the energetic barrier and himself, something like a mutual “sympathy”. His hand lightly touched the surface of the energetic barrier and he felt a tingling on the skin. The shield was completely harmless to him, so he stepped forward, passing right through it. The U.S. officials were absolutely stunned.  Cezar estimated the barrier to be no more than an inch thick.  He touched the triangle drawing located in the center of the square, and the gigantic stone door silently slid to the left, into the wall. That command also cancelled the energetic barrier, giving them access to a huge room, which was later named "The Grand Gallery". Even though there was no visible light source, the Grand Gallery was perfectly lit.  After turning off the first energetic barrier, the huge hemispherical shield at the other end of the room, suddenly tuned to a higher vibration and started emitting higher radiations. On a closer analysis, the wall inside the Grand Gallery seemed synthetic but also felt like something organic was part of it. It had the color of oil, but the reflections were green and blue.  Later tests revealed that the wall's material was somewhat rough to the touch, but it could not be scratched or bent. It withstood any attempt of breaking, piercing or cutting it. Later, the scientists tried to burn the material, but in a mysterious way, the flames were somehow absorbed within it, leaving it untouched. The American scientists agreed that the material is a mysterious combination of organic and inorganic matter. After 280 feet, the gallery suddenly turned to the right in a sharp angle. Further ahead a blue, sparkly, light could be seen. The blue light at the end of the gallery was the reflection of the protective shield of energy.

VII. A Similar Base in Iraq       

The U.S. adviser on national security issues received a call and he was notified that the energetic shield from Baghdad, Iraq, had been suddenly activated, and it was also pulsating at a higher frequency. In front of the shield from Baghdad, a hologram of our planet appeared, which sequentially and progressively depicted the European Continent, then moved to the south-east, then it showed the Bucegi Mountains from Romania and, finally, it showed their own location within the structure’s corridor. It was obvious that the two hemispherical energy shields were in a direct connection.  Basically, the Iraqi base had been notified about the presence of people inside the Romanian base. The bad news was that the U.S. presidency was notified and it contacted the Romanian diplomacy. In just a few minutes, the whole operation had been disclosed, and Lord Massini's plan went down the drain.  The U.S. presidency demanded to take control over the secret base and the entire operation. The Romanian politicians, who knew nothing of the undergoing secret operation, panicked. The Pentagon's generals present at the scene, had been informed that Washington demanded an urgent meeting.   

VIII. CSAT (Supreme Defense Council) Emergency Meeting     

An emergency session of the Supreme Defense Council (CSAT) had created a huge wave of sympathy for the Zero Department. Most were shaken by the news they’ve received. The CSAT's decision was to continue the research, but under Zero Department's complete control. They've had also demanded an inventory of everything found in the Great Room.  From Bucharest (Romania's capital), the orders came in waves, canceling each other. Some were very vehement and strict, while others were elusive -- denoting the huge tension.  CSAT's members were in continuous session, keeping in touch with the Bucegi Mountains team. After discussing everything for hours, they had decided to make the discovery public. The Romanian government was to make a formal statement to the entire world. Some CSAT members vehemently opposed the decision.

IX. Romania's Official Statement      

When the U.S. diplomacy had been informed that Romania will disclose the discoveries, everything tuned into chaos. The President was called for a direct phone conversation with the White House. Within hours, the U.S. blocked all financial transactions with Romania and its access to all other financial institutions. Romania was about to declare “State of emergency” in the Bucegi Mountains and the capital.  The talks between the U.S. officials arrived in Bucharest and the Romanian Emergency Department took place without a translator. The U.S. officials were verbally violent, constantly shouting and uttering threats to Romania and its officials.  Romania's official disclosure to the world would have provided photographic evidence and anything else essential for a complete clarification. Leading scientists and researchers from all over the planet were to be invited for in depth studies. But most importantly, it would have revealed the truth about mankind's distant past and the real history -- which according to what Cezar witnessed inside the Grand Gallery, is almost entirely counterfeit.
The reaction of the U.S. government was so brutal because that disclosure would have shattered their global influence and power, in a instant.  The official reason cited by the U.S., was not to create panic in the world, but they had omitted to acknowledge that the current state of global anguish is a direct result of deliberate deceit and manipulation conducted by the Freemasonry and other secret societies, for millenia.  There was also an intervention from the Vatican (if you wonder how did the Vatican found out about this discovery, then you should know that they are at the very top of the world's control pyramid, and their religious piety is merely a facade -- read: The Darkest Secrets of the Vatican), in which the Pope (!) called for moderation before this great, fundamental, step for mankind.  The Pope promised to make certain documents available to the Romanian state from the ancient papal secret archives, which were of great importance for Romania. The documents were backing up the discoveries (yes, that's how powerful a Pope is). After 24 hours of negotiations, a final agreement occurred between Romania and the USA. The Romanian state was to postpone the disclosure, and gradually present everything to the people.

X. The Projection Room

The Grand Gallery ended abruptly with a giant auditorium, 30 meters in height (98,5 feet) and a length of 100 meters (328 feet). The Projection Room was smaller in size and it was protected by an energetic shield. Advancing towards the shield, a portion of it disappeared, in the shape of a door, allowing access inside it. The shield protected the room by any outside influences. Once inside the room, the shield became compact and looked like a white-golden wall. Basically, the shield formed this dome-shaped room, with curved walls and ceiling. At the back of the room, at a height of a about 10-12 meters (33-39,5 feet), the shield ended where it touched the room's stone wall. In this wall there were three enormous tunnel holes: one located straight ahead, and the other two were symmetrical on both sides. They were lit by a diffuse light in a greenish tint. Both sides decided to prohibit the access to these tunnels and a protocol was signed between them.

XI. Tables For Giants      

A series of huge stone tables were arranged along the right and left walls (five on each side), following their curvature. The tables were about 2 meters in height (6,6 feet).  The table tops had precision cut-in reliefs, different signs of an unknown writing and characters that resembled ancient cuneiform. The writing also contained more general symbols, such as triangles and circles. Although the signs were not painted, they've had a fluorescent light radiating in various colors, different for each table. On some of the tables there were different objects, which appeared to be technical tools. From many of these tools, translucent-white wires descended to the floor, and entered inside shiny, silver-like, rectangular boxes. These boxes were placed directly on the floor. At a closer inspection, the cables were extremely flexible and lightweight, and light pulses could be seen circulating along their length. Each time someone approached the tables, a holographic projection was automatically activated, presenting aspects of a particular scientific field. The three dimensional images were perfect and had height of almost two and a half meters (8,2 ft).  The projections were automated and ran by themselves, but at the same time they were interactive, and changed according to the signs touched on the tables' surface.

XII. A Great Discovery: Holographic DNA Combinations Between Extraterrestrial Species      

Because of the great height of the tables, the scientists used special tripods to climb at a comfortable height. At a closer investigation they've observed a dark-glassy material covering the table tops. The material was divided into several large squares, bounded by straight lines, which formed some kind of a grid.

One of the tables contained information from the field of biology, and it projected images of plants and animals, some of which were completely unknown to the scientists. After touching one of the squares, a hologram presenting the structure of the human body was activated. The hologram was constantly rotating, highlighting various areas of the human body.

Touching other squares activated holographic projections of extraterrestrial beings, from other planetary systems. Simultaneously touching two different squares, a complex scientific analysis was projected, showing the DNA of both species, and compatibility possibilities between the two.

On the sides, in vertical lines, there were written explanations in the same, alien alphabet. At the end of the simulation, a crossbreed between the two species was displayed.

XIII. Real Giants   

Judging by the size of all the objects within the Projection Room, the creators of the edifice were probably very tall beings. A confirmation of giant humanoid skeletons found in Romania could be found in a newspaper called “The Newspaper”:  

• "The team from the newspaper is accompanied by researcher Vasile Rudan, who noted that the people of the Bozioru village have concrete evidence: a cemetery with skeletons of giants. It was discovered by chance over 20 years ago, when the authorities decided to plant apple trees in the village of Scaieni. Digging on a hill, the villagers discovered huge skeletons, measuring more than 2,40 m (7 ft 10 in).
• "Dragoi Ilie, one of those who worked in the apple orchard, takes us to the spot. Mister Ilie shows us around the orchard: 'Everywhere are tombs of giants. We were making holes, to plant saplings, when we found a human head as big as a pumpkin. Neither one of us had ever seen anything like that. We were all amazed. Digging further, we've found some bones of the feet, as big as the vineyard poles. The dead one must have been very big.'

XIV. The Library of the Universe

The Projection Room contained detailed information from fields like: physics, cosmology, astronomy, architecture, technology, biology, genetics, and even religion. Because it contained so much information, the room was compared to a library. In the middle of the room, there was a podium-like area which contained an interesting device. The scientists speculated that it might have been a device to enhance various cerebral functions.  

XV. Romania's Control Panel    

Next to it there was a command panel, covered with various geometric symbols, in different colors. There were also two sliding levers and a red button, in the center of the panel, above all other commands. A holographic simulation explained the purpose of the button. It showed an image of the Carpathian Mountains as seen from 25 km (15,5 miles) above them and next, an enormous quantity of water flooded the lowlands and plains. Next, from the territories of Romania, Hungary and Ukraine, more streams of water appear, heading towards the Transylvanian plateau, in the form of huge rivers. The image focused on Romania's territory and showed most of its surface covered by the waters of a great sea. Some of the tallest mountain peaks could now be seen as small, floating islands. Next, the waters begun to withdraw, as soon as the leavers found on the panel were activated, leaving sunk only a small area near the Retezat Godeanu mountain. A true manual.

XVI. A Mysterious Amphora    

Behind the control panel there was a square pedestal, of about three meters (9 ft 10 in) per side, on which a mysterious amphora was resting. Lord Massini had knowledge of its existence and, for him and his Masonic elite, this was the most important discovery. The amphora contained a very fine white powder. The researchers were dismayed to find that the powder was a high purity formula of monatomic gold, with an unknown crystalline structure.  The gold powder in its pure form greatly stimulates certain waves and energy exchanges at cellular and neural level. This causes an accelerated process of rejuvenation. Theoretically, a man can live in the same physical body for several thousand years, provided they consume from time to time, a well-defined quantity of monatomic gold powder. This explains many puzzling aspects about the incredible longevity of some important figures and uncovers part of the hidden intentions of the global elite.

XVII. The Real History of Our Planet    

Behind the amphora, in the middle of the square, there was a huge dome that projected holograms. It displayed the main aspects of humanity's most distant past, from its very beginning. Cezar explained that according to the images projected by the hologram, about 90% of mankind's official history is false and counterfeit. Darwin's evolutionary theory is also incorrect. In the middle of the square is a huge dome which projects a hologram of moving parts. It contains the main aspects of the very distant past of humanity, from its very beginning. Cezar explained that according to the images projected by the hologram, Darwin's evolutionary theory is completely false.  The true origin of man is depicted in a condensed holographic form. After these lessons of truth, we can say that 90% of the official history of mankind is false and counterfeit. Unbelievable, but what is now considered to have really happened in our history, never did, while the so called "myths" and "legends" are almost entirely true.  Also, most archaeological theories are false. For example, the dinosaurs did not went extinct 65 million years ago, and the old continents of Lemuria and Atlantis existed. This strange inversion caused many problems and conflicts between people in our past. For a correct dating of the presented events, a star map corresponding to that period was projected on the background. Although the time period covered by the projections was very large (several hundred thousand years), and the procession cycle of the Earth is 25,920 years, by observing the number of “Platonic years” (the 25,920-year cycle) the exact dating of the events was possible. The Bucegi Mountains are 50-55 thousand years old. 

XVIII. Shocking Revelations    

Cezar saw what happened during the so called Great Flood and where the human civilization originated, but he decided not to reveal this, as the revelations are too shocking for the mentality, ideas and knowledge of the contemporary man.  Personally, I think people like him are also responsible for the current state of unawareness and latency of the human species. We have been lied and manipulated for millenia, and as soon as we are close to the truth, someone decides that we are not yet ready to hear it.  This is an arrogant and selfish approach! The people are as ready today as they will ever be, and the sooner the truth will be released, the better. Having more pieces of the puzzle will make them accept the truth easier and, more importantly, will make convince them to take action against the manipulators and enslavers. In a disturbing display of images, the existence of Jesus and his crucifixion was also presented. The projections revealed that many of those who witnessed the crucifixion came there from other historical periods.  They were wearing the same kind of clothing as the rest of the people, but their facial features were different, hence they were constantly covering their faces. The hologram also presented fragments from the spiritual lives of other exceptional characters of mankind's distant past, including people that we know nothing of.  In those times, the social and population distribution were completely different from what is known today, so the archaeologists and anthropologists should review their theories from scratch.

XIX. The Three Mysterious Tunnels    

The discovered tunnels are thousands of miles in length and lead to three different areas of the planet. The one in the left connected the Romanian base to a yet to be discovered underground base somewhere in Egypt (which was definitely discovered and explored by now). The right tunnel led to a similar but smaller structure, in the "Tibetan Plateau". This tunnel had three secondary ramifications. One led to an underground area near the Romanian city of Buzaru (close to the "Carpathian Bend"). Another one led to the already mentioned Iraqi base, while the final ramification led to an underground base in the "Gobi Desert", in Mongolia.

XX. The Third Tunnel -- A Secret World
The middle tunnel was the most important to both Lord Massini and the U.S. Government, which strongly requested to be kept secret to the public. This tunnel descended to extreme depths towards a veritable underground world, located near the center of our planet.  Those of you who are not familiar to the hollow earth theory, please note that there are important figures who support the theory

New amazing UFO sighting photo taken in the daytime sky above Boise, Idaho on 1st May 2014.

I was driving towards west on Chinden Blvd. It was around 8:15AM. To my north / west was this MASSIVE bell shaped object hovering in the sky. It just stayed there. In scale, it appeared to be larger than a hot air balloon.

I tried asking others about the sighting, they just guessed it may have been a hot air balloon. I did not have my pro-camera so I used my phone to click a few pictures.

The object was in the sky for 5 mins that I saw and then it descended behind the tree line.

Hi. My name is Andy I am a former US Navy AMS/Airdale and flyer. I was on a flight from my home in St Thomas USVI to Atlanta, Ga in December of 2013. I hadn’t flown in several years, and being excited to go home and see my family and friends, I was randomly taking video of the clouds and ground. Yeah I know …korny. Bear with me. I didnt’ realize until I got home from my vacation 10 days later and was watching all my videos and reviewing pics that I had captured something that I cannot explain. It is very large and seems to be moving from left to right in the top of the screen. It was at a great distance away…I’d say 20 miles out…and had to have been ‘miles’ across to be visible at that distance.

I have flown with the Navy and all over the US and Caribbean for many years. This is simply a huge object. I posted it on facebook to some close friends and several thought it was exceptional. The reason I am sending this to you is that I happened to see a show on H2 (UFO Hunters)today[episode original airing 02-04-09] and two different pilots (A British guy and a French) seemed to have seen the same thing I did. The difference is that his object seemed to emanate light while mine seems to be very black. After watching the video several times I also noticed a flat contrail from the top right of my video that appears to lead right to the object in the distance.

This could just be an old jet-contrail that spread out over time, but if so then a jet would have had have passed right by this thing at some point. It is moving very slowly from left to right, then speeds up and crosses the contrail by the end of the video. I have the full length video but I am sure I will only be able to email you this short version. I’ll try both tho. Please take a look and tell me what you think.

A special object is captured in Infrared contorting and moving very strangely, know that it is but it’s interesting how the object moves over the skies of Atizapán of Zaragoza. The object was captured on April 11, 2014, in Edo. of Mexico, in the form of IR. You could see at a glance and that’s when we heard a plane approaching the object that is when I took pictures to show the reference and the same distance at which these planes pass these objects very strangely.

The intergalactic medium unveiled: Cosmic Web Imager directly observes ‘dim matter’

Caltech astronomers have taken unprecedented images of the intergalactic medium (IGM) — the diffuse gas that connects galaxies throughout the universe — with the Cosmic Web Imager, an instrument designed and built at Caltech. Until now, the structure of the IGM has mostly been a matter for theoretical speculation. However, with observations from the Cosmic Web Imager, deployed on the Hale 200-inch telescope at Palomar Observatory, astronomers are obtaining our first three-dimensional pictures of the IGM. The Cosmic Web Imager will make possible a new understanding of galactic and intergalactic dynamics, and it has already detected one possible spiral-galaxy-in-the-making that is three times the size of our Milky Way.

The Cosmic Web Imager was conceived and developed by Caltech professor of physics Christopher Martin. “I’ve been thinking about the intergalactic medium since I was a graduate student,” says Martin. “Not only does it comprise most of the normal matter in the universe, it is also the medium in which galaxies form and grow.”

Since the late 1980s and early 1990s, theoreticians have predicted that primordial gas from the Big Bang is not spread uniformly throughout space, but is instead distributed in channels that span galaxies and flow between them. This “cosmic web” — the IGM — is a network of smaller and larger filaments crisscrossing one another across the vastness of space and back through time to an era when galaxies were first forming and stars were being produced at a rapid rate.

Martin describes the diffuse gas of the IGM as “dim matter,” to distinguish it from the bright matter of stars and galaxies, and the dark matter and energy that compose most of the universe. Though you might not think so on a bright sunny day or even a starlit night, fully 96 percent of the mass and energy in the universe is dark energy and dark matter (first inferred by Caltech’s Fritz Zwicky in the 1930s), whose existence we know of only due to its effects on the remaining 4 percent that we can see: normal matter. Of this 4 percent that is normal matter, only one-quarter is made up of stars and galaxies, the bright objects that light our night sky. The remainder, which amounts to only about 3 percent of everything in the universe, is the IGM.

As Martin’s name for the IGM suggests, “dim matter” is hard to see. Prior to the development of the Cosmic Web Imager, the IGM was observed primarily via foreground absorption of light — indicating the presence of matter — occurring between Earth and a distant object such as a quasar (the nucleus of a young galaxy).

“When you look at the gas between us and a quasar, you have only one line of sight,” explains Martin. “You know that there’s some gas farther away, there’s some gas closer in, and there’s some gas in the middle, but there’s no information about how that gas is distributed across three dimensions.”

Matt Matuszewski, a former graduate student at Caltech who helped to build the Cosmic Web Imager and is now an instrument scientist at Caltech, likens this line-of-sight view to observing a complex cityscape through a few narrow slits in a wall: “All you would know is that there is some concrete, windows, metal, pavement, maybe an occasional flash of color. Only by opening the slit can you see that there are buildings and skyscrapers and roads and bridges and cars and people walking the streets. Only by taking a picture can you understand how all these components fit together, and know that you are looking at a city.”

Martin and his team have now seen the first glimpse of the city of dim matter. It is not full of skyscrapers and bridges, but it is both visually and scientifically exciting.

The first cosmic filaments observed by the Cosmic Web Imager are in the vicinity of two very bright objects: a quasar labeled QSO 1549+19 and a so-called Lyman alpha blob in an emerging galaxy cluster known as SSA22. These objects were chosen by Martin for initial observations because they are bright, lighting up the surrounding IGM and boosting its detectable signal.

Observations show a narrow filament, one million light-years long, flowing into the quasar, perhaps fueling the growth of the galaxy that hosts the quasar. Meanwhile, there are three filaments surrounding the Lyman alpha blob, with a measured spin that shows that the gas from these filaments is flowing into the blob and affecting its dynamics.

The Cosmic Web Imager is a spectrographic imager, taking pictures at many different wavelengths simultaneously. This is a powerful technique for investigating astronomical objects, as it makes it possible to not only see these objects but to learn about their composition, mass, and velocity. Under the conditions expected for cosmic web filaments, hydrogen is the dominant element and emits light at a specific ultraviolet wavelength called Lyman alpha. Earth’s atmosphere blocks light at ultraviolet wavelengths, so one needs to be outside Earth’s atmosphere, observing from a satellite or a high-altitude balloon, to observe the Lyman alpha signal.

However, if the Lyman alpha emission lies much further away from us — that is, it comes to us from an earlier time in the universe — then it arrives at a longer wavelength (a phenomenon known as redshifting). This brings the Lyman alpha signal into the visible spectrum such that it can pass through the atmosphere and be detected by ground-based telescopes like the Cosmic Web Imager.

The objects the Cosmic Web Imager has observed date to approximately 2 billion years after the Big Bang, a time of rapid star formation in galaxies. “In the case of the Lyman alpha blob,” says Martin, “I think we’re looking at a giant protogalactic disk. It’s almost 300,000 light-years in diameter, three times the size of the Milky Way.”

The Cosmic Web Imager was funded by grants from the NSF and Caltech. Having successfully deployed the instrument at the Palomar Observatory, Martin’s group is now developing a more sensitive and versatile version of the Cosmic Web Imager for use at the W. M. Keck Observatory atop Mauna Kea in Hawaii. “The gaseous filaments and structures we see around the quasar and the Lyman alpha blob are unusually bright. Our goal is to eventually be able to see the average intergalactic medium everywhere. It’s harder, but we’ll get there,” says Martin.

Plans are also under way for observations of the IGM from a telescope aboard a high-altitude balloon, FIREBALL (Faint Intergalactic Redshifted Emission Balloon); and from a satellite, ISTOS (Imaging Spectroscopic Telescope for Origins Surveys). By virtue of bypassing most, if not all, of our atmosphere, both instruments will enable observations of Lyman alpha emission — and therefore the IGM — that are closer to us; that is, that are from more recent epochs of the universe.

Are UFOs flying over London? Facebook user claims image of ‘rotating’ object is UFO

IS IT a bird, a balloon, a drone, an helicopter or just another UFO sighting?

This weird object — described by the photographer as “rotating” — was reportedly spotted in the skies over Islington, north London.

The witness was so excited by the sighting, they took to Facebook, posting the images under the name Mixtris UFO-images, the Mirror reports.

In the text accompanying the images, the user wrote: “I captured this object a couple of streets away from where I live.

“The object appeared black in colour and was rotating as it moved along.

“I captured nearly 5 minutes of video before I lost sight of it floating in the direction of Highbury and Islington. I’m not sure what this object is. I thought it was a balloon, but there appears to be a light on it.”

It’s not the first time a UFO has been spotted in Islington, home to celebrities, bankers and media types.

No less than four sightings were reported in one year, the Islington Gazette reports.

One witness told the paper he saw “a round luminous object over the green. It was pretty big and flying quite low and slowly and went away into the clouds.”

Another witness noticed a strange object with bright lights, moving like “hovercraft suddenly changing direction very quickly”.

Those feeling in any way freaked out now have support on hand — a new helpline has been set up for people who claim to have been abducted by aliens.

The Anomalous Mind Management, Abductee, Contactee Helpline, based in Sussex, is staging its inaugural conference to help those who believe they have had alien contact, the Mirror reports.

Canadian witnesses video UFO at 400 feet

Two Canadian witnesses traveling east along Highway 16 near Marlobo, Alberta, reported stopping and photographing an unknown object hovering above the tree tops about 400 feet away, according to April 29, 2014, testimony in Case 55866 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The two witnesses were returning home from work in Hinton and heading toward Edson when the incident occurred about 4 kilometers east of Marlobo about 1:45 a.m. on April 25, 2014.

“While driving I noticed on the north side of the highway green and red lights low within the tree line,” the reporting witness stated. “It was 1:45 a.m. and it was very dark. The trees are bare. No leaves as this is early spring here so I thought it was a low flying airplane as they carry the green and red lights. I thought I’d seen an airplane flying low on the horizon through the trees.”

But they approached closer to the object.

“As I was getting closer I noticed these lights were not moving and they appeared bigger. It was nothing of significance to us as we thought it was perhaps some sort of tower. Finally we passed the small grove of trees and were able to have the direct visual on these lights. We saw red, green, blue-purple light blinking, sort of pulsating around quite fast. There was also a light at the bottom like a dome light rotating a beam of white-yellow light illuminating the ground and trees.”

They parked their vehicle along the shoulder of the road to get a better look at the object.

“We got out of the truck to snap some photos with our cell phones. The truck was put on park, idling with radio playing – local Hinton music radio station. We were in front of that thing within 400 feet distance as it was just above the trees across the highway right in front of us. It was very dark and the lights it was projecting were very bright, sort of blinding us.”

The two tried to take photos.

“We tried to catch this object on the camera but you could not see it in the LCD display. I snapped two pictures without flash to see if I could capture something. As I was looking through the pictures my friend yelled that the object moved to the right abruptly.”

They tried to capture video too.

“I set up my cell phone on video record mode and recorded the event. I finally could see the object if I zoomed on it all the way – although this object was 300-400 feet in front of us, fairly large, maybe six cars wide, I could hardly see it on my cell phone cam. I recorded about a minute of video.”

The two began to become afraid of their encounter.

“We honestly got a bit freaked out, but I wanted to see it move, so we stayed a bit longer and I noticed that the object drifted slowly to the left.”

The witnesses began to wonder if the lights on the object were an attempt to communicate to them.

“I then thought that maybe that thing is projecting the lights – maybe I should use cell cam flash to signal a couple flashes as a form of communication. I got my phone again. I snapped once and nothing happened, but when I sent the next flash, that thing suddenly made a high pitch, two tones, sound lasting for maybe seven seconds. We got afraid a bit, so we jumped back in the truck and decided it was time to go.”

Back inside their vehicle, they realized the object was somehow interfering with their radio.

“What we noticed inside the cab was a static noise of the radio. Where we pulled over to investigate the object, we were listening to a Hinton music station. Now there was nothing but static noise. Upon that we realized we had just seen a UFO which interacted with the truck’s radio. We took off rather fast, leaving that thing behind.”

As they moved away from the scene, they were relieved that the object was not following them.

“It just sat there over the trees. We were quite disturbed. It was mine and my co-workers first time witnessing a UFO event, especially that close. We talked about that all the way to Edmonton.”

The two pulled over in Edmonton to review the images and video they had taken of the event. The witness included one video clip and four images with the MUFON report: Video, Image 1, Image 2, Image 3 and Image 4. Image 4 is a colorized sketch of the object.

“To our surprise we hardly had any photos on the phones. I shot four pictures in total and made about a minute long video. All I have on my phone is one picture and eight seconds of video. My friend shot over six photos. His phone did not record a single photo. This by far was the weirdest and most interesting experience I have ever had.”

Marlobo, Alberta is a hamlet in west-central Alberta, Canada within Yellowhead County, population 80. MUFON Canada is investigating.

Disc – shaped UFO filmed passing near a plane over Belgium on 25th April 2014

If this video is authentic, it is truly an amazing video. It was filmed by Eric Giavedoni and published on UFOvni2012′s YouTube channel. The video shows a disc shaped craft exit a cloud next to a large passenger jet and speed away at a very high rate of speed. The video was filmed with a 300mm lens pointing skyward over Belgium on April 25, 2014. You be the judge.

Jupiter’s moon Ganymede may harbor ‘club sandwich’ of oceans and ice

The largest moon in our solar system, a companion to Jupiter named Ganymede, might have ice and oceans stacked up in several layers like a club sandwich, according to new NASA-funded research that models the moon’s makeup.

Previously, the moon was thought to harbor a thick ocean sandwiched between just two layers of ice, one on top and one on bottom.

“Ganymede’s ocean might be organized like a Dagwood sandwich,” said Steve Vance of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., explaining the moon’s resemblance to the “Blondie” cartoon character’s multi-tiered sandwiches. The study, led by Vance, provides new theoretical evidence for the team’s “club sandwich” model, first proposed last year. The research appears in the journal Planetary and Space Science.

The results support the idea that primitive life might have possibly arisen on the icy moon. Scientists say that places where water and rock interact are important for the development of life; for example, it’s possible life began on Earth in bubbling vents on our sea floor. Prior to the new study, Ganymede’s rocky sea bottom was thought to be coated with ice, not liquid — a problem for the emergence of life. The “club sandwich” findings suggest otherwise: the first layer on top of the rocky core might be salty water.

“This is good news for Ganymede,” said Vance. “Its ocean is huge, with enormous pressures, so it was thought that dense ice had to form at the bottom of the ocean. When we added salts to our models, we came up with liquids dense enough to sink to the sea floor.”

NASA scientists first suspected an ocean in Ganymede in the 1970s, based on models of the large moon, which is bigger than Mercury. In the 1990s, NASA’s Galileo mission flew by Ganymede, confirming the moon’s ocean, and showing it extends to depths of hundreds of miles. The spacecraft also found evidence for salty seas, likely containing the salt magnesium sulfate.

Previous models of Ganymede’s oceans assumed that salt didn’t change the properties of liquid very much with pressure. Vance and his team showed, through laboratory experiments, how much salt really increases the density of liquids under the extreme conditions inside Ganymede and similar moons. It may seem strange that salt can make the ocean denser, but you can see for yourself how this works by adding plain old table salt to a glass of water. Rather than increasing in volume, the liquid shrinks and becomes denser. This is because the salt ions attract water molecules.

The models get more complicated when the different forms of ice are taken into account. The ice that floats in your drinks is called “Ice I.” It’s the least dense form of ice and lighter than water. But at high pressures, like those in crushingly deep oceans like Ganymede’s, the ice crystal structures become more compact. “It’s like finding a better arrangement of shoes in your luggage — the ice molecules become packed together more tightly,” said Vance. The ice can become so dense that it is heavier than water and falls to the bottom of the sea. The densest and heaviest ice thought to persist in Ganymede is called “Ice VI.”

By modeling these processes using computers, the team came up with an ocean sandwiched between up to three ice layers, in addition to the rocky seafloor. The lightest ice is on top, and the saltiest liquid is heavy enough to sink to the bottom. What’s more, the results demonstrate a possible bizarre phenomenon that causes the oceans to “snow upwards.” As the oceans churn and cold plumes snake around, ice in the uppermost ocean layer, called “Ice III,” could form in the seawater. When ice forms, salts precipitate out. The heavier salts would thus fall downward, and the lighter ice, or “snow,” would float upward. This “snow” melts again before reaching the top of the ocean, possibly leaving slush in the middle of the moon sandwich.

“We don’t know how long the Dagwood-sandwich structure would exist,” said Christophe Sotin of JPL. “This structure represents a stable state, but various factors could mean the moon doesn’t reach this stable state.

Sotin and Vance are both members of the Icy Worlds team at JPL, part of the multi-institutional NASA Astrobiology Institute based at the Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif.

The results can be applied to exoplanets too, planets that circle stars beyond our sun. Some super-Earths, rocky planets more massive than Earth, have been proposed as “water worlds” covered in oceans. Could they have life? Vance and his team think laboratory experiments and more detailed modeling of exotic oceans might help find answers.

Ganymede is one of five moons in our solar system thought to support vast oceans beneath icy crusts. The other moons are Jupiter’s Europa and Callisto and Saturn’s Titan and Enceladus. The European Space Agency is developing a space mission, called JUpiter ICy moons Explorer or JUICE, to visit Europa, Callisto and Ganymede in the 2030s. NASA and JPL are contributing to three instruments on the mission, which is scheduled to launch in 2022 (see http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.php?release=2013-069).

Other authors of the study are Mathieu Bouffard of Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France, and Mathieu Choukroun, also of JPL and the Icy World team of the NASA Astrobiology Institute. JPL is managed by the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena for NASA.
