American Heroes: Astronauts Who Report UFOs

It is the pilots, not the UFO craft, but the occupants of UFOs, who have eluded any true discussion and analysis in any American public media; any news reported does focus solely on observed craft and said's movements with no inkling of inquiry into possible motives or tactics of the occupants.

It is like an alien Jedi mind trick.

At my hazard, I devote time and energy to write about my encounters with these beings, to a sleepy Internet readership focused largely on the UFO Cadillacs these advanced beings drive, rarely on the advanced UFO pilot-entities.

Most people sidle away down the park bench a distance from anyone who attempts any such conversation.

American astronauts who have reported seeing UFOs and extraterrestrials have been poorly treated and ignored by the media.

These heroes have spoken out despite punitive non-disclosure agreements.

These extraordinary men were selected as America's finest servicemen and pilots to make the most marvelous flights that this planet has ever seen, flying rockets into space and to the moon.

If we as Americans were to lament the dearth of heroes in our culture or lament the puerile quality of Television, Hollywood, or video 'stars' who our children worship as heroes, we should be grateful to have astronauts as an example for our children to emulate.

Courage, training, sacrifice, dedication and intelligence excel in each and every astronaut.

These American heroes who go into space have been and still are held up as examples of extreme paradigms to every school child in the nation.

Why would they risk ridicule and censure to speak up about a subject as officially discouraged and outright denied as extraterrestrial contact?

Because they are true American heroes who will not ever lie to the American public who is asleep in the truth.

Rather than withhold information so select corporate interests can capitalize on extraterrestrial technology or claim credit for themselves, these American heroes know that extraterrestrial contact is the biggest story in human history.

Technology gleaned from UFOs, locked down in black projects should be released and implemented worldwide as are alien contrivances of fiber optics and lasers.

Corporations have made fortunes from stolen ET technologies and the Military Industrial Complex likes it that way and would silence anyone who threatened it  .

Alien technology, recovered from downed discs and other craft, has already inspired Skunkworks to give us the ability to recreate and reverse engineer:

All of these magical technologies were successfully studied, reverse engineered and imitated.

We have a lot to be thankful for because of Klaatu, even though he is the complete opposite of the charming, handsome gracious, elevated spirit in film and in book.("The Day The Earth Stood Still", main character)

He, Klaatu, but in reptilian form and grey form, instead see us in much the same perfunctory way, that we see chickens. Food for thought..

Our astronaut heroes, aware of this jeopardy, are doing their best to inform the public, notwithstanding.

While the U.S.has had some documents about aliens and their UFOs released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) many of them have been cryptic and have had sections of them blacked out.

If there's 'nothing to hide", then why hide it?

With its policies of secrecy for "reasons of national security", created from the National Security Act of 1947, the United States government and military have maintained a UFO posture of official denial.

This flies in the face of volumes of alien UFO testimony the worldover and alien UFO research by all the nations of the world; astronauts, by virtue of their extreme experiences feel that the general public has been criminally deceived.

The following testimonies are direct quotes from these very international and American fearless heroes who have personally encountered alien craft while on missions:

Cosmonaut Victor Afanasyev

"It followed us during half of our orbit. We observed it on the light side, and when we entered the shadow side, it disappeared completely. It was an engineered structure, made from some type of metal, approximately 40 meters long with inner hulls.

The object was narrow here and wider here, and inside there were openings. Some places had projections like small wings. The object stayed very close to us. We photographed it, and our photos showed it to be 23 to 28 meters away."

Cosmonaut Afanasyev commented on sightings of an alien UFO sighting that occurred while traveling to the Solyut 6 space station, April of 1979.

Buzz Aldrin

NASA: What's there?

Apollo11: These "Babies" are huge, Sir! Enormous! OH MY GOD! You wouldn't believe it! I'm telling you there are other spacecraft out there, Lined up on the far side of the crater edge! They're on the Moon watching us!

"Now, obviously, the three of us were not going to blurt out, 'Hey Houston we got something moving along side of us and we don't know what it is,' said Aldrin.

"We weren't about to do that, cause we know that those transmissions would be heard by all sorts of people and who knows what somebody would have demanded that we turn back because of Aliens or whatever the reason is, so we didn't do that but we did decide we'd just cautiously ask Houston where, how far away was the S-IVB?

And a few moments we decided that after a while of watching alien craft it was time to go to sleep and not to talk about it anymore until we came back and underwent debriefing."

Neil Armstrong

Excerpt made from a statement in October 1999.

"It was incredible, of course we had always known there was a possibility, the fact is, we were warned off by the Aliens!!. There was never any question then of a space station or a moon city. I can't go into details, except to say that their ships were far superior to ours both in size and technology - Boy, were they big!...and menacing! No, there is no question of a space station!

Scott Carpenter

"At no time, when the astronauts were in space were they alone: there was a constant surveillance by UFOs."

Eugene Cernan

"...I've been asked about UFOs and I've said publicly I thought they were somebody else, some other civilization."

Cernan was the commander of the Apollo 17 Mission-This quote is from a 1973 article in the Los Angeles Times.

Colonel L. Gordon Cooper

"I wanted to convey to you my views on our extra-terrestrial visitors popularly referred to as ' UFOs,' and suggest what might be done to properly deal with them."

"I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets which obviously are a little more technically advanced than we are here on Earth.

I feel that we need to have a top level, coordinated program to scientifically collect and analyze data from all over the earth concerning any type of encounter, and to determine how best to interface with these visitors in a friendly fashion.

We may first have to show them that we have learned to resolve our problems by peaceful means, rather than warfare, before we are accepted as fully qualified universal team members.

This acceptance would have tremendous possibilities of advancing our world in all areas.

Certainly then it would seem that the UN has a vested interest in handling this subject properly and expeditiously."

"If the UN agrees to pursue this project, and to lend their credibility to it, perhaps many more well qualified people will agree to step forth and provide help and information."

Cooper spoke to a UN panel discussion on UFOs and ETs in New York in 1985.

The group chairman by then Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim.

"For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists and astronauts.

I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us.

And there are thousands of witness reports and a quantity of documents to prove this, but nobody wants to make them public."

Cooper also spoke to a U.N. committee.

"As far as I am concerned, there have been too many unexplained examples of UFO sightings around this Earth for us to rule out the possibilities that some form of life exists out there beyond our own world."

"I know other astronauts share my feelings, and we know the government is sitting on hard evidence of UFOs!"

"We thought they could have been Russian we regularly had MiG-15s overflying our base. We scrambled our Sabre jets to intercept and got to our ceiling of 45,000 feet . . . and they were still way above us traveling faster than we were. These vehicles were in formation like a fighter group, but they were metallic silver and saucer-shaped. Believe me, they weren't like any MiGs I'd seen before! They were alien UFOs."

Cooper said he first saw UFOs as a military pilot in Germany in the early 1950s, when alien craft were seen over an air base.

"I had a camera crew filming the installation when they spotted a saucer. They filmed it as it flew overhead, then hovered, extended three legs as landing gear, and slowly came down to land on a dry lake bed!

These guys were all pro cameramen, so the picture quality was very good.

The camera crew managed to get within 20 or 30 yards of it,filming all the time. It was a classic saucer, shiny silver and smooth, about 30 feet across. It was pretty clear it was an alien craft.

As they approached closer it took off."

When his camera crew handed over the film, Cooper followed standard procedure and contacted Washington to report the UFO and "all heck broke loose," he said.

"After a while a high-ranking officer said when the film was developed I was to put it in a pouch and send it to Washington. He didn't say anything about me not looking at the film.

That's what I did when it came back from the lab and it was all there just like the camera crew reported."

When the Air Force later started Operation Blue Book to collate UFO evidence and reports, Cooper says he mentioned the film evidence.

"But the film was never found supposedly. Blue Book was strictly a cover-up anyway."

Cooper, In 1957, was one of a selected band of test pilots at Edwards Air Force Base in California, in charge of several advanced projects, which included the installation of a precision landing system.

"I had a good friend at Roswell, a fellow officer. He had to be careful about what he said. But it sure wasn't a weather balloon, like the Air Force cover story.

He made it clear to me what crashed was a craft of alien origin, and members of the crew were recovered."

Cooper said that he's convinced that an alien craft crashed at Roswell, New Mexico , in 1947 and that aliens were discovered in the wreckage.

"It started in World War 2, when the government didn't want people to know about UFO reports in case they panicked," said Cooper. "They would have been fearful it was superior enemy technology that we had no defense against.

Then it got worse in the Cold War for the same reason. So they told one untruth, they had to tell another to cover that one, then another, then another . . . it just snowballed.

And right now I'm convinced a lot of very embarrassed government officials are sitting there in Washington trying to figure a way to bring the truth out.

They know it's got to come out one day, and I'm sure it will. America has a right to know!"

Cooper made another statement when asked why has the government kept its UFO secrets for so many years?

Cooper spoke as a national hero who was a Mercury 9 and Gemini-5 astronaut.

"I should point out that I am not an experienced UFO professional researcher. I have not yet had the privilege of flying a UFO, nor of meeting the crew of one.

I do feel that I am somewhat qualified to discuss them since I have been into the fringes of the vast areas in which they travel.

Also, I did have occasion in 1951 to have two days of observation of many flights of them, of different sizes, flying in fighter formation, generally from east to west over Europe.

They were at a higher altitude than we could reach with our jet fighters of that time."

"I would also like to point out that most astronauts are very reluctant to even discuss UFOs due to the great numbers of people who have indiscriminately sold fake stories and forged documents abusing their names and reputations without hesitation.

Those few astronauts who have continued to have participation in the UFO field have had to do so very cautiously.

There are several of us who do believe in UFOs and who have had occasion to see a UFO on the ground, or from an airplane."

"Several days in a row we sighted groups of metallic, saucer-shaped vehicles at great altitudes over the base, and we tried to get close to them, but they were able to change direction faster than our fighters

I do believe UFOs exist and that the truly unexplained ones are from some other technologically advanced civilization.

From my association with aircraft and spacecraft, I think I have a pretty good idea of what everyone on this planet has and their performance capabilities, and I'm sure some of the UFOs at least are not from anywhere on Earth."

"Is the presence of extraterrestrial civilizations conceivable? Of course. Before the uniqueness of the earth is demonstrated, this assumption should be taken as quite legitimate.

As regards UFOs, their presence cannot be denied: thousands of people have seen them.

Some of their properties, for instance, their ability to change course by 90 degrees at great speed, simply stagger the imagination."

Major General Vladimir Kovalyonok

"On May 5, 1981, we were in orbit [in the Salyut-6 space station]. I saw an object that didn't resemble any cosmic objects I'm familiar with. It was a round object which resembled a melon, round and a little bit elongated. In front of this object was something that resembled a gyrating depressed cone. I can draw it, it's difficult to describe.

The object resembles a barbell. I saw it becoming transparent and like with a ' body' inside. At the other end I saw something like gas discharging, like a reactive object.

Then something happened that is very difficult for me to describe from the point of view of physics. Last year in the magazine Nature I read about a physicist... we tried together to explain this phenomenon and we decided it was a ' plasmaform.'

I have to recognize that it did not have an artificial origin. It was not artificial because an artificial object couldn't attain this form. I don't know of anything that can make this movement... tightening, then expanding, pulsating. Then as I was observing, something happened, two explosions. One explosion, and then 0.5 seconds later, the second part exploded. I called my colleague Viktor [Savinykh], but he didn't arrive in time to see anything."

"What are the particulars? First conclusion: the object moved in a sub orbital path, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to see it. There were two clouds, like smoke, that formed a barbell. It came near me and I watched it. Then we entered in to the shade for two or three minutes after this happened.

When we came out of the shade we didn't see anything. But during a certain time, we and the craft were moving together."

Dr. Jerry Linenger

"In five months in space, I have seen unidentified flying objects for sure. Sometimes I looked out of the window and I could see a metallic thing like a spoon flying methodically."

Dr. Linenger was a NASA astronaut and during five months in he logged 50 million miles - the equivalent of over 110 round trips to the moon, traveling at an average speed of 18,000 miles per hour. Dr. Linenger was in Dubai to speak at the BurJuman Retail Conference at the Emirates Towers Hotel.

James Lovell

Lovell: Bogey at 10 o'clock high.

Capcom: This is Houston. Say again 7.

Lovell: Said we have a bogey at 10 o'clock high.

Capcom: Gemini 7, is that the booster or is that an actual sighting?

Lovell: We have several...actual sightings.

Capcom: ...Estimated distance or size?

Lovell: We also have the booster in sight...

James Lovell in conversation with mission control during his flight on Gemini 7.

"Mission Control, please be informed, there is a Santa Claus."

James Lovell, commander of the ill-fated Apollo-13 mission, made this radio statement after coming around the far side of the moon on the Apollo-8 mission on or around Christmas in 1968 with Frank Borman and William Anders.

Although it was Christmas time, this statement has caused considerable controversy as "Santa Claus" was a codeword used to indicate a UFO or other unusual sighting.

James McDivitt

"At one stage we even thought it might be necessary to take evasive action to avoid a collision."

James McDivitt is commenting on an orbital encounter he and Ed White had with a "weird object" with arm-like extensions which approached their capsule.

Later in the flight they saw two similar objects over the Caribbean.

Edgar D. Mitchell

"We all know that UFOs are real. All we need to ask is, where do they come from?"

From a statement in 1971

"I've talked with people of stature-of military and government credentials and position-and heard their stories, and their desire to tell their stories openly to the public. And that got my attention very, very rapidly.... The first hand experiences of these credible witnesses that, now in advanced years are anxious to tell their story, we can't deny that, and the evidence points to the fact that Roswell was a real incident, and that indeed an alien craft did crash, and that material was recovered from that crash site."

"The U.S. Government hasn't maintained secrecy regarding UFOs It's been leaking out all over the place. But the way it's been handled is by denial, by denying the truth of the documents that have leaked. By attempting to show them as fraudulent, as bogus of some sort.

There has been a very large disinformation and misinformation effort around this whole area.

And one must wonder, how better to hide something out in the open than just to say, 'It isn't there. You're deceiving yourself if you think this is true.' And yet, there it is right in front of you.

"So it's a disinformation effort that's concerning here, not the fact that they have kept the secret. They haven't kept it. It's been getting out into the public for fifty years or more."

"I have been over the years very skeptical like many others. But in the last ten years or so, I have known the late Dr. Alan Hynek, who I highly admire.

I know and currently work with Dr. Jacques Vallee. I've come to realize that the evidence is building up to make this a valid and researchable question.

Further, because my personal motivation has always been to understand our universe better, and my own theoretical work has convinced me that life is everywhere in the universe that has been permitted to evolve, I consider this a very timely question...

By becoming more involved with the serious research field, I've seen the evidence mount towards the truth of these matters. I rely upon the testimony of contacts that I have had - old timers - who were involved in official positions in government and intelligence and military over the last 50 years.

We cannot say that today's government is really covering it up - I think that most of them don't know what is going on anymore than the public..."

He says he's met with high-ranking military officers who admitted involvement with alien technology and hardware.

"We have contact with alien cultures."

Major General Pavel Popovich

"Today it can be stated with a high degree of confidence that observed manifestations of UFOs are no longer confined to the modern picture of the world...

The historical evidence of the phenomenon... allows us to hypothesize that ever since mankind has been co-existing with this extraordinary substance, it has manifested a high level of intelligence and technology. The UFO sightings have become the constant component of human activity and require a serious global study... The scientific study of the UFO phenomenon should take place in the midst of other sciences dealing with man and the world."

"The influence the UFO has on people, as well as the effects it produces, should become the items of special research. The UFO's interaction with the environment, the behavior that it motivates, and its genesis, also present interesting areas for concentrated study.

Today, many specialists have come to the opinion that [UFO] phenomenon research should be taken up along with understanding and comprehension of other unexplained phenomena...

The development of new approaches for the identification and study of energy and information processes will allow for an enthusiastic move toward the comprehension of the phenomenon.

The results of these studies should aid the survival of the people on earth...

"It's necessary to carry out the popular ufological enlightenment, since the probability for a meeting of a person with a UFO exists, and this person should be ready for this event.

Precautionary measures are especially important.

It's necessary to tell the truth, which has been distorted previously by the politically engaged sciences and most recently by ufological dilettantes.

The main purpose of the primary local groups, that of controlling the ufological situation, mustn't be forgotten. The ufologists should know all the UFO's landing places and contacts in their regions.

They should have relations with the local authorities, and in particular, with the police, the civil defense bodies, as well as information, scientific, and medical organizations."

Donald Slayton

"I was testing a P-51 fighter in Minneapolis when I spotted this object. I was at about 10,000 feet on a nice, bright, sunny afternoon. I thought the object was a kite, then I realized that no kite is gonna fly that high. As I got closer it looked like a weather balloon, gray and about three feet in diameter. But as soon as I got behind the darn thing it didn't look like a balloon anymore. It looked like a saucer, a disk. About the same time, I realized that it was suddenly going way from me-and there I was, running at about 300 miles per hour. I tracked it for a little way, and then all of a sudden the damn thing just took off. It pulled about a 45 degree climbing turn and accelerated and just flat disappeared."

Joseph Albert Walker

"I don't feel like speculating about them. All I know is what appeared on the film which was developed after the flight."

Joseph Walker from May 11, 1962 commenting during a lecture at the Second National Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Space Research in Seattle, Washington after he had filmed five or six UFOs, (he stated that one of his tasks was to detect UFOs), during his record breaking fifty-mile-high flight in April, 1962 while piloting an X-15.

Major Robert White

"There ARE things out there! There absolutely is!"

White exclaiming over the radio about a UFO encounter taking place on a 58 mile high X-15 flight on July 17, 1962.

"I have no idea what it could be. It was greyish in color and about thirty to forty feet away."

Al Worden

"And a literal translation describes very clearly a spacecraft with the ability to land vertically and take-off vertically, and it was an object that looked very much like the Lunar Module that we used on the Moon; and if it's going to land vertically and take-off vertically, it had to come from some place and go back some place."

Worden lectured on his views that Earth was visited in the past by extraterrestrial explorers.

He began by commenting on the well known "UFO interpretation" of the vision of the prophet Ezekiel in the Bible.

"In my mind the universe has to be cyclic, so that in one galaxy if there is a planet maybe that has arrived at the point of becoming unlivable, you will find in another part of a different galaxy a planet that has just formed which is perfect for habitation.

I see some kind of intelligent being, like us, skipping around the universe from planet to planet as, let's say, the South Pacific Indians do on the islands, where they skip from island to island.

When the first island blows up due to a volcano, they will have their progeny on all these other islands and they will be able to continue the species. I think that's what the [alien] space program is all about.

"I think we may be a combination of creatures that were living here on Earth some time in the past, and having a visitation, if you will, by creatures from somewhere else in the universe, and those two species getting together and having progeny."

"I am not at all convinced that we are not the result of that particular union some many thousands of years ago. If that is the case in fact, a very small group of explorers could land on a planet and create successors to themselves that would eventually take up the pursuit of, let's say, inhabiting the rest of the universe."

Unidentified Cosmonauts

Female Cosmonaut: "I'll take it and hold it with my right hand. Look out the peephole! I have it!" Male Cosmonaut: "There is something! If we do not get out the world will never know about this!"

From the concluding radio transmission of a pair of Cosmonauts whose scheduled seven-day mission was interrupted by a malfunction of unknown origins.

This conversation was recorded on February 24, 1961 while they were trying to repair the damage.

The two Cosmonauts were never heard from again.

Today, if one speaks or writes about their personal encounters with extraterrestrials or close encounters with alien craft and their pilot occupants they are accused of suffering from mental illness or of mistaking their experiences for delusions or hallucinations.

The stench of ignorance persists in seemingly bright and seemingly informed people in intelligentsia who are writers, newscasters and politicians many years after these Astronaut heroes have informed the world about the reality of our planet as a major crossroads for many alien races.

Director of CIA, Admiral R.H. Hillenkoetter: "It is time for the truth to be brought out in open Congressional hearings. Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense. UFO mania: Stanford University Examines the Biological Entity Found in Atacama Desert

The Neanderthal’s DNA is 99.5 % identical to the human race, a chimpanzee and the DNA of great apes is 96-97% identical to a human being.

Our own human history is still in the process of discovery, research and exploration. Most of the information we take in and choose to believe about religion, evolution and the origin of our species is often lacking complete information.

A lack of truth and information has led to the human race to develop a number of theories and belief systems that are widely accepted as truth and taught within educational institutions without any full verification. 

There is nothing wrong with having different beliefs about creation and the origin of life, the mistake comes when we close our minds to other possibilities and new understandings about the nature of our reality.

Sure, we do have lots of information, but what we perceive as a large amount is still a very small amount. This leads to new theories, ideas and world paradigms that are constantly changing throughout human history.

The specimen under examination in the video below was found in the Atacama Desert. Research has already determined that a large portion of its DNA is from a human female, presumably the mother. The astonishing thing is that 9% of its DNA is unmatched, this is a very large portion of DNA.

What could it be? Researches don’t know yet, and it will take a number of years to determine exactly what that unmatched DNA represents.

When dealing with the UFO/extraterrestrial phenomenon, it’s really important to question your sources and do some research. This subject is filled with multiple agendas, and disinformation. We do not judge the people behind the film, and we thank them for their work. 

Any type of documentary that is able to open the minds of the masses to realities beyond our world that do not fit the accepted framework is a definite advantage, and we are happy to promote.

Sure, there have been some controversial remarks made by those with a ‘big voice’ in the ‘UFO community’, and it’s only natural that we examine those within the UFO field and see how it corroborates with other information that we’ve been privy to.

Schoharie County 1790 UFO Sighting

During a clear summer night in 1790, a settler in Schoharie County, New York saw a bright shining light in the northern sky. He was playing his fiddle while sitting on the porch. At around 9 in the evening, he noticed a bright shining light in the north sky with a great roar. He described that it grew intensely until it became brighter than the noonday sun. The resident explained that the brightness of the light would allow him to pick up pins anywhere around him.

The German colonist stated he observed what looked like a meteor passing west at around 250 yards from him and approximately 65 feet above the ground. He said that the light maintained low altitude on the other side of the hollow. The object moved above the countryside and rose above tall trees with the speed of galloping horse. When the object reached the Owelus Sowless hill (as what Indians called it), it elevated and flew over the hill. The settler stated that this was the time he lost sight of the mysterious object.

He described it as around 300 yards long with snake-like shape, except that the supposed head looked like the root of a tree plucked up by force. He further said that the shape had no neck, and its thickness was like a young bull and tapered off similar to a serpent. He said that it closely resembled a welding hot iron and sparked similar to it.

He noted the intense heat warmed his house, and it left a stench resembled a burning star or sulfur, which lingered for another day.

The witness was part of the first German settlement in the area. He swore out his statement on August 23, 1823 in the town of Carlisle. The story can be found in The Historical and Philosophical Society of the State of New York records.

A video recorded from the International Space Station’s live video feed shows a strange red dot in space that seemingly shoots a laser beam towards Earth.

The video was captured and uploaded to YouTube by user Streetcap1 on December 5.

Some believe the strange red object is an extraterrestrial spacecraft attempting to communicate with Earth. The Huffington Post UK points out that “Others have suggested it was simply an astronaut on the Space Station having some fun with a laser pointer,” and that “there is also the possibility that the light wasn’t in fact a light but a problem with the camera what with it being, you know, in space and all.”

Although it is possible that the ISS camera captured an extraterrestrial UFO, there are other potential explanations for the strange light and the laser beam.

The video was reportedly recorded on December 5. On this date, the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope fired its laser into the sky to create an artificial star. This process is done periodically to fine-tune the observatory’s telescopes.

But a more likely explanation for the unusual laser in the video is an instrument attached to the ISS called the Optical Payload for Lasercomm Science (OPALS). As Discovery News explains, this instrument is part of a new laser communications system.

“Four lasers from the ground station travel through the sky toward the space station. Under clear, dark background conditions, it’s very easy for the payload to acquire the ground beacon. Daylight conditions have proven more challenging, but we are working on increasing capabilities during the day as well, through software enhancements,” explains Matthew Abrahamson, OPALS mission manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

It is unknown if there were OPALS tests being conducted on December 5. So, although the OPALS instrument provides a possible explanation for the strange laser-like object seen in the video, that possibility has not been confirmed.

UFO mania: Alien Symbols Retrieved From Crashed UFO?

This alleged Alien cipher was apparently taken from a recovered ET vehicle in 1953. 

The strange symbols were copied from the instrument panels inside the craft into a notebook by a member of the recovery team for analysis. More pictures pending including shots from inside the craft and a possible member of the crew.

Author, journalist and TV personality Nick Pope worked for the Ministry of Defence for 21 years. While best-known for having run the UK government’s UFO project, he writes and broadcasts on a wide range of subjects including the unexplained, conspiracy theories, fringe science, science fiction, space, defence and intelligence.

There’s been an interesting run of robot and cyborg stories in the media in the last week or two. Firstly, Professor Stephen Hawking stated that “the development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race”. Then, a few days later, the trailer for Terminator Genisys was released. Coincidence, or just clever marketing?

In another piece of synchronicity, the Ministry of Defence responded to a Freedom of Information Act request about the new combat drone, Taranis (named after the Celtic god of thunder), confirming, “both in flight and in the laboratory, automatic detection of potential targets was tested”.

The 1^st December response, posted on the MoD’s website, went on to assure the anonymous requestor that “autonomous selection and/or engagement of targets were not tested, as these would contravene MOD policy”. Good to know, though the fact that the MoD’s tri-Service satellite communication system is called Skynet doesn’t bode well.

As if this wasn’t enough, news emerged last month that the UK and French governments will collaborate on a new generation of unmanned aerial combat drones that might make Taranis obsolete. The graphic used to illustrate the story on the MoD website looks like it comes straight out of the Terminator movie franchise.

So who’s going to protect us from the real-life rise of the machines? Step forward a little-known body called the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER). CSER is based at the University of Cambridge, and is a multidisciplinary group of individuals – mainly scientists – whose mission, as defined on their website, is “the study and mitigation of risks that could lead to human extinction”.

While CSER mention risks such as comet/asteroid impact, nuclear war, super volcanoes and climate change, their focus is on developing technologies that might quickly (perhaps accidentally, as a result of ‘unforeseen consequences’) result in “extinction-level threats”.

Artificial Intelligence (AI), biotechnology and nanotechnology are the three areas of particular concern. A parallel worry of CSER is that at the exact time these threats are likely to become more significant, networks are becoming increasingly interconnected, which increases vulnerability.

CSER was set up with funding from Skype co-founder Jaan Tallinn, which arguably makes him the real-life John Connor, making a lone stand against the real-life Skynets. AI is certainly the enemy of the moment (SpaceX founder Elon Musk has called AI “our biggest existential threat”), but CSER points out that further scientific and academic study is needed to identify which ‘low probability high-impact’ concerns need to be taken seriously, and which “can safely be dismissed as science fiction” - I hope they’re not talking about the zombie apocalypse!

Greenpeace beschadigt NAZCA - lijnen - Peru

Een aantal activisten van Greenpeace had een ludieke actie bedacht met een enorm spandoek bij de Peruaanse Nazca lijnen.

Volgens Peru echter is er schade aangebracht aan de lijnen en zullen de activisten worden vervolgd voor een “aanval op een archeologisch monument”.

Peru gaat een aanklacht indienen tegen Greenpeace activisten voor het aanbrengen van schade aan de beroemde Nazca lijnen. Volgens een woordvoerder van de Peruaanse overheid had de groep hun voetafdrukken achtergelaten in het zand.

Doelwit van de Greenpeace actie was de volgende afbeelding: 

Deze plek staat op de werelderfgoedlijst van de Verenigde Naties en is streng verboden terrein, maar dat weerhield Greenpeace er afgelopen maandag niet van om juist daar een enorm spandoek uit te rollen.

Zoals wij in een eerder artikel schreven:

De Nazca-lijnen bevinden zich in de Nazca woestijn, een hoogvlakte die zich uitstrekt tussen de steden Nazca en Palpa. Het is één van de droogste gebieden van de wereld en het is er bijna altijd windstil. Het is op zich niet zo vreemd natuurlijk dat de lijnen pas echt werden ontdekt in de jaren twintig van de vorige eeuw. De mens begon toen te vliegen en het is alleen vanaf grote hoogte goed te zien wat de figuren voorstellen. 

Na vijftig jaar onderzoek kwam de Duitse wiskundige Dr. Maria Reiche tot de conclusie dat het lijnenspel een astronomische kalender voorstelde; een kalender die onder meer bepaalde wanneer men moest zaaien en wanneer men moest oogsten. Maar dan nog blijft de vraag hoe men op de grond al deze patronen heeft kunnen maken die alleen hoog vanuit de lucht zichtbaar zijn. 

Op het spandoek van Greenpeace stond de tekst: Tijd voor verandering/De toekomst is te vernieuwen/Greenpeace. De bedoeling was dat het spandoek zou worden gezien door de vertegenwoordigers uit 190 landen die in de Peruaanse hoofdstad Lima zijn voor de klimaattop.

De groep kan nu een aanklacht tegemoet zien die wordt omschreven als “een aanval op archeologische monumenten”. Daar zijn staan in Peru gevangenisstraffen op van zes jaar voor de betrokken activisten. Ondertussen stelt de Peruaanse overheid alles in het werk om te zorgen dat de daders het land niet zullen verlaten.

De staatssecretaris van Cultuur, Jaime Castillo, zei in een commentaar: “Deze monumenten zijn heel kwetsbaar. Het zijn zwarte rotsen op een witte achtergrond. Wanneer je daar loopt dan zal je voetafdruk honderden jaren later nog zichtbaar zijn. De lijn die ze hebben verwoest, is de meest zichtbare en mooiste van allemaal. Dit is een klap in het gezicht van alles wat voor de Peruanen heilig is”.

Volgens Greenpeace woordvoerder Tina Loeffelbein hadden de Greenpeace activisten er alles aan gedaan om geen schade aan te brengen aan de lijnen en zegt ze dat de organisatie dit incident hoog opneemt. Wat er niet bij verteld werd is of de namen van de betrokken activisten zouden worden vrijgegeven.

Enorme asteroïde onderweg richting Aarde? ( Video )

De Russische wetenschapper Vladimir Lipunov heeft een asteroïde ontdekt ter grootte van een berg.

Alhoewel er geen onmiddellijk gevaar is, zegt hij dat deze asteroïde de eerstkomende 150 jaar een bedreiging voor de aarde kan vormen.

Enkele weken geleden publiceerden wij een artikel waarin stond dat NASA de wereld misleidt met hun projecties betreffende de dreigingen uit de ruimte in de vorm van asteroïden.

Zij deden het voorkomen alsof er niets aan de hand is door de cijfers zodanig te presenteren dat de enorme toename van asteroïden (vuurbollen) niet zichtbaar is. Terwijl dit in werkelijkheid wel degelijk het geval is.

Vorig jaar zagen we natuurlijk de bekende asteroïde bij het Russische Chelyabinsk. Die explodeerde en richtte enorme verwoestingen aan. Dit was een asteroïde met een doorsnee van ongeveer 20 meter en het gewicht van de Eiffeltoren en werd door niemand opgemerkt.

Nu is er een nieuwe asteroïde ontdekt door de Russische wetenschapper Vladimir Lipunov die groter is dan die van Chelnyabinsk en op een koers richting aarde ligt.

De asteroïde die de naam 2014 UR116 heeft gekregen, heeft een doorsnee van ongeveer 370 meter en een gewicht gelijk aan die van een doorsnee dorp. Wanneer deze asteroïde daadwerkelijk de aarde zou raken dan zou die een explosie veroorzaken ongeveer 1000 keer groter dan die van Chelnyabinsk.

Volgens Lipunov is er geen onmiddellijk gevaar, maar het is er toch een reële mogelijkheid dat deze asteroïde de aarde ergens in de eerstkomende 150 jaar zal raken. Het heeft een omloopbaan van drie jaar rondom de zon en zal dan ook regelmatig in de buurt van de aarde komen.

Het grote probleem volgens Lipunov is dat dit soort objecten regelmatig van koers verandert onder invloed van al de planeten en andere ruimteobjecten die het passeert. Ook wees hij erop dat wij als mensheid eigenlijk nog maar heel weinig weten over mogelijke bedreigingen van asteroïden.

Dat we objecten zoals 2014 UR116 permanent in de gaten moeten houden omdat zelfs het kleinste foutje in de koersberekening serieuze gevolgen kan hebben.

Zoals vaak is het volgens NASA weer een ander verhaal. Zij tillen niet zo zwaar aan deze asteroïde en zeggen dat deze niet dicht genoeg bij de aarde zal komen om een bedreiging te kunnen vormen. Tegelijkertijd zeggen ze wel dat hun computermodellen laten zien dat deze asteroïde ergens in de komende 150 jaar wel degelijk een bedreiging kan vormen.

De wetenschap begint zich nu toch ook meer zorgen te maken. Zo was er vorige week een vergadering van een aantal vooraanstaande astronomen die waarschuwden dat asteroïden de mensheid zouden kunnen wegvagen, tenzij er veel meer moeite wordt gedaan deze tijdig op te sporen en ze te vernietigen.

Naast wetenschappers zetten ook beroemdheden zoals Queen gitarist Brian May zich in voor het opzetten van een systeem dat tijdig asteroïden kan waarnemen. Zo zei hij, “Hoe meer we te weten komen over asteroïden, des te duidelijker blijkt dat de mensheid tot nu toe geluk heeft gehad”. Lord Rees, een bekende Engelse astronoom: “Wij moeten de asteroïden vinden voordat zij ons vinden”.

Het grote probleem bij het opsporen van asteroïden zijn dan ook niet de hele grote, maar de duizenden kleinere die door de mazen van de huidige opsporingssystemen weten te glippen.

President Jimmy Carter’s UFO Sighting

Asteroid Danger

A Russian astrophysicist says his team has located a huge, mountain-sized asteroid whose orbit crosses the Earth’s every three years.

Even though experts say the giant object, known as 2014 UR116, poses no immediate threat of collision, its unexpected discovery underscores how little is still known about asteroids and their unpredictable orbits.

Vladimir Lipunov, a professor at Moscow State University, announced the find in a short documentary, “Asteroid Attack,” posted on the website of the Russian Space Agency on Sunday. Mr. Lipunov says the asteroid, which he calculates is 370 meters in diameter, could hit the Earth with an explosion 1,000 times greater than the surprise 2013 impact of a bus-sized meteor in Russia. That object entered Earth’s atmosphere over the city of Chelyabinsk, resulting in a series of ferocious blasts that blew out windows and damaged buildings for miles around.

Pope Recognizes ET

Giants and the Nephilim

L.A. Marzulli has produced a series of DVDs that shows evidence for the existence of the race of giant humans called the Nephilim, as told in Chapter 6 of the book of Genesis. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.- Genesis 6:4

The Bible suggests these sons of God were from other planets or heaven. They could in fact be proof of alien visitation.

Peru Giant Skull

L.A. Marzulli came to my home and filmed me as part of Watchers 7 and shared details of his trip to Peru, complete with mummies; museums, caves, and gigantic skulls as shown. Preliminary DNA testing released by Brien Foerster on the ancient Paracas, Peru elongated skulls suggest we may be dealing “with a new human-like creature very different from homo sapiens and Neanderthals. These do not seem to fit into Darwin’s theory of evolution and are likely visitors or the ancestors of visitors.

L.A. Marzulli visited the UCLA Museum where he was shown remains of Native Americans and a cache of private records from the Ralph Glidden expeditions to Catalina Island that date back in the 1920s and 30s. In one photo is a six-figured 9 foot skeleton, a second skeleton photo indicates the subject was 8.5 to 9 feet in height.

He also told me of the mysterious ‘Berg Aukas’ femur, a fossil bone found in a coal mine in South Africa that is so large it must have come from a 9 to 10 foot. tall individual. The evidence Marzulli is accumulating suggests an outside agency is manipulating the genome to prove Darwinism for their own ends, and denying the biblical narrative about the Nephilim. Interestingly, spectroscopic testing of hair samples found a close similarity in a red-haired mummy from Peru and an alleged alien hybrid hair from Australia. The Theory of Evolution is based on numerous false assumptions that have not been proved.

In whose image was the Adam – the prototype of modern humans, Homo sapiens – created? The Bible asserts that the Elohim said: “Let us fashion Adam in our image and after our likeness.” Scientific teams have been deciphering the human genome that contains not the anticipated 100,000 – 140,000 genes (the stretches of DNA that direct the production of amino-acids and proteins) but only some 30,000+ — little more than double the 13,601 genes of a fruit fly and barely fifty percent more than the roundworm’s 19,098.

It is humbling to find our DNA is not that complicated at least when compared to other life forms. Moreover, there is hardly any uniqueness to the human genes. They are comparative to 99 percent of the chimpanzees, and 70 percent of the mouse. Human genes, with the same functions, were found to be identical to genes of other vertebrates, as well as invertebrates, plants, fungi, even yeast. The findings confirm that there was one source of DNA for all life on Earth. A designer or creator appears to have taken the simple DNA, and added more complex DNA forming each life form. Each species, dog, cat, horse, monkey, can be developed by using these same building blocks of life.

The Darwinian Theory is based on the concept of change and accidental occurrences that make life more complicated at each step of evolution. We supposedly started in the primordial soup as single celled living form and gradually developed to more complicated transitions by chance or natural selection. Darwin’s theory was elevated from a highly speculative hypothesis to unchallenged dogma since he published his last revision of “Origin” in 1872. The theory is based on connecting links of ever more complicated life forms gradually developing into humans. We are still waiting to find even one of these hundreds of alleged connecting links.

Francis Crick, the discoverer of DNA and Nobel Prize winner, although an atheist, published a book which subscribed to the theory of intelligent design, that our universe was not simply the result of a series of chemical accidents. He states, “Life did not evolve first on Earth, a highly advanced civilization became threatened so they devised a way to pass on their existence. They genetically-modified their DNA and sent it out from their planet on bacteria or meteorites with the hope that it would collide with another planet. It did, and that’s why we’re here.” Our DNA was encoded with messages from that other civilization. They programmed the molecules so that when we reached a certain level of intelligence, we would be able to access their information, and they could therefore “teach” us about ourselves, and how to progress.”

Perhaps it is an attempt to intercept and retrieve one especially if it were extraterrestrial technology? That’s why! Enter Terry Ray 2014

Terry Ray is a MUFON Field Investigator from Pennsylvania. I met him at the Pittsburgh MUFON Conference in October and he is a very nice man. Terry wrote a book this year with a very, very long title called “The Complete Story of the Worldwide Invasion of Orange Orbs” available from Sunbury Press. It is a three part book beginning and ending with his investigation into the phenomenon sandwiching some 200 actual reports submitted to MUFON and elsewhere in the middle of the book.

Perhaps Terry’s greatest achievement in his investigation into the phenomenon is his sighting map based on thousands of MUFON Case sightings over the past few years. Terry has determined that these orb sightings are increasing exponentially and that they are visible over every major American city in an apparent attempt to be seen by as many people as possible. Their objective, it seems, may be to slowly acclimate humans to their presence if indeed they are extraterrestrial. They avoid one city completely however and that is Washington D.C. Are they avoiding confrontation with our military? Would Chinese lanterns and helium balloons with flares attached be so discerning?

Terry also believes these orbs come from underwater bases and that they are frequently seen along the Atlantic Coast on their nightly maneuvers and seen also (not surprisingly) en masse over Lake Erie!

Terry believes they are extraterrestrial and that seems to be the growing consensus.

I am a MUFON Field Investigator and of the 50 odd cases I have investigated this year about 40% have been Orange Orb sightings over New Jersey.

MUFON Case 5937 on August 14, 2014 is perhaps the most sensational I have worked on although there is no video or photographic evidence. The object when far away was clearly an Orange Orb. The object was first seen at close range by the witness at no more than ten feet away. It was a churning glowing orange globule suspending itself in mid-air with the faint outline of a bell around it almost invisible to the naked eye. The witness gave specific dimensions to it being about 8 feet tall by 5 feet wide. It was shaped like a bell or a jelly fish. It hovered near an outdoor electrical transformer just outside her back yard possibly in an attempt to siphon energy off it. When it became aware of her presence it began to back away and accelerate up displaying sentience and awareness of her presence.

On August 24, 2014 MUFON Case 59219 witnesses in Ouachita, Louisiana described the same object as seen in NJ in Case 59379. They stated “My wife and I noticed an orange see-through bell shaped object about 200 to 300 feet above the ground, headed north then turned 90 degrees east. No sound at all, watched it until it disappeared.”

The witnesses drew a very accurate diagram of the bell shaped plasma ball.

When comparing case 59219 and 59379 to Michael Lee Hill’s initial 2006 encounter with the Orange Orbs we get a strikingly similar description of an Orb close-up. Michael stated it looked like a top hat and being more specific he added: “It looked like a flat platform made of glowing plasma red, you could make out the edges very well, they were not blurry. On top of this platform sat what looked like a glowing sun, kind of like a ball of plasma that was around the size of a small plane. The ball was about 1/3 the length of the bottom part. Just picture a line with a ball on top and that is what it looked like, the line part about ten feet thick I would say.”

Three close encounters with Orange Orbs and all very similar. They seem to be balls of churning energy with a faint outline of something larger surrounding that energy. The outline is large and flat at the bottom and smaller and rounded as you progress towards the top.

It may be coincidence but on December 9, 1965 in Kecksburg Pennsylvania just such an odd shaped object crashed in the woods outside of town attracting a quick and overwhelming military response. Whatever the object was, it was carted away on a flatbed truck never to be seen again.

And another even more intriguing coincidence emerges from the realm of conspiracies about bell shaped orange orbs. In 2000, Polish weapons expert Igor Witkowski published a book entitled “The Truth about the Wonder Weapon.” It details his experience speaking with a former Nazi SS Officer named Jacob Sporrenberg who tells Mr. Witkowski about the now infamous Nazi experiment called The Bell (Die Glocke).

What Die Glocke was and whether it ever really existed or not are questions for debate but when taken in the context of bell shaped Orange Orbs in our skies travelling in truly mysterious circumstances, one must wonder if the Nazis were indeed working on some sort of transportation platform using exotic technology possibly reverse engineered form a purported crashed UFO in Germany before WWII. If Mr. Witkowski is to be believed, then many German scientists lost their lives contributing to this experiment. Additionally, it is assumed that it fell into American hands at the end of the war. Was the Bell an advanced propulsion system or something even more exotic like a time machine as has been suggested? Was Die Glocke the object that crashed in Kecksburg in 1965? Was Die Glocke the object seen in a New Jersey backyard in 2014’S MUFON Case # 59379? We don’t know but we see patterns emerging.

One more case to make a point is MUFON Case 57701 from July 5, 2014 in Eatontown, NJ. The witness asserts that after seeing an Orange Orb cross the sky “Within a few minutes, multiple fast moving aircraft were seen flying in the same direction as the unidentified object flew.”

Eatontown, NJ is just north of McGuire Air Force Base. The Air Force is adamant that they don’t investigate UFOs yet time after time we have apparent jet fighters scrambling after UAVs in MUFON database reports. This has been going on since the 1940s and they never seem to catch those things!!!

While we are far from solving the Orange Orb enigma we now, at least, have questions we can ask. Are they extraterrestrial? Are they friendly? Are they time machines or inter-dimensional transportation machines? Are they secret government black operations projects like anti-gravity propulsion systems? Are they machines at all or are they alive? We don’t know…YET!

So what exactly is an Orange Orb? The short answer is that no one knows. But we are sure learning a lot about them!

Tom Benson’s Passport to Heaven

A friend of mine, UFO researcher Thomas Anthony Benson, 77, of Ewing Township, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 2, 2014 at the University Medical Center of Princeton. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was educated at Rutgers University where he received his Masters in City and Regional Planning. Thomas retired after 35 years of service as a personnel management analyst with the State of New Jersey.

Throughout his adult life, Tom had an abiding interest in UFO’s, taught courses and served as State MUFON Director and was awarded the Ufologist of the Year by the National UFO Conference.

I had not asked him if he had his passport to heaven. Those of who have traveled to foreign countries legally know the importance of a passport. Regardless of your status or charisma, that is what qualifies you for entry and acceptance into a different land. We also need a passport to get into heaven, if that is the place where we wish to go. Those have such a visa can rejoice in their citizenship long before their arrival. Don’t imagine you will get into heaven without the proper credentials. You will not be there because your wife has the right to enter, or because a relative is already there.

No this is an individual matter, and only those with the right document will enter. No one can enter without God’s approval. We cannot come to heavens’ gate hoping for leniency. We have to be as perfect as God to enter. God has to give us all his perfections; forgive our sins and his righteousness can be credited to our account, so we can enter heaven. When Christ died on the cross He made a sacrifice for us sinners, if we accept Him in our lives. In the New Testament Paul taught that those who belong to Christ and trust and believe in him will have a passport to get them into heaven. One minute after you die, you will either be elated or terrified-and it will be too late to reroute your travel plans. When you slip behind the parted curtain I personally feel it is a good idea to have a passport. Knowing Tom Benson I believe he made it to heaven and is waiting for us.

The Kurdish fighters of Kobani, Syria have been aided by U.S. airstrikes hitting militants in and around the town — more than 310 since mid-September — and a group of Kurdish peshmerga forces from Iraq who came to Kobani with more advanced weapons. A second battalion of peshmerga forces crossed into Kobani this week, replacing the first wave. More than a thousand Islamic State militants have been killed reducing pressure on the town. Kurdish female fighters have been playing a major role in helping defend the Syrian town who know, if they are captured they will be sold as sex slaves.

Atlantic Ocean Ruins

In 1985, several hundred miles east of the Azores, a Russian submarine under the command of Nikolai Seleznev, was filming the ocean floor with a special deep-diving camera, when, at a depth of 120 feet, they noticed a string of stone columns and then a massive dome-topped building.“We couldn’t believe our eyes,” he said. “We were viewing an entire city with magnificent boulevards and avenues and they were lined with what looked like temples and halls, government buildings and homes.”Suddenly their power flickered and the engines shut down on their own, and needles on the instruments, including clocks, began to quiver and run backward. X-47B Drone

Just 13 months ago, the Navy successfully conducted take-offs and landings from a fairly new nuclear aircraft carrier, the USS George W. Bush, with a new stealth jet called the X-47B.

What is so different about this plane is the fact that it is an unmanned large ‘drone’. If a drone is shot down, there will be no human loss of life or captivity. The flight deck crew signals the landing plane, that is recording the signaling on-board cameras, which in turn are being manned by staff inside the command intelligence center (CIC) onboard the ship. The drone needs only a short distance for takeoff and landing.

Mars UFO?

Analysis of NASA’s Opportunity rovers’ photos on Mars from Sol 3,637, 18 April 2014) of the “Endeavour Crater Rim”shows a possible UFO. After analyzing said photo for a while, I focused my attention in one particular area at the base of a mountain. My surprise was great when the UFO appeared clearly. It is either hovering or flying about 500 feet above the Martian ground (where structures can also be seen). This was just another clear evidence that not only is there alien activity on Mars, but if UFOs visit Mars, they must surely also visit Earth. Case 61900 Thanks to MUFON CMS

Arizona Boomerang

Kingman — We were staying at my wife’s parent’s place at about 9:20 PM; I took our dog out and noticed three very bright flashes of light, like welding flashes. I turned my head over my left shoulder and seen a ship that was huge just sitting there. It was triangular shape with lights running down the middle of it.

The lights were white and I could see the shape very clearly. I told my wife come here and look at this. She was getting up when I looked back up over my right shoulder and it was gone. Thanks to MUFON CMS

California Triangle and Spheres

Grapevine — I was taking a photo of the sunset at the base of the Grapevine outside of Bakersfield on December 1, 2014, CA.

It wasn’t until I reviewed the photo later that I noticed three bright green lights forming a triangle in the sky.

While I took the photo I didn’t hear anything or see anything only noticed the object later. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Westchester — At 4:44 PM, on December 4, 2014, I observed three sphere objects, pulsating white lights in a triangle formation, North West of my location. Objects still in triangle formation then moved rapidly side to side and up and down. Objects then changed formation to a straight horizontal line and repeated the same rapid movement’s side to side and up and down. Objects then appeared to be chasing each other and descended out of view and disappeared.

Florida Light

St. Augustine — I was walking down the beach around midnight on November 30, 2014, and got drawn to a particularly bright star that I believed to be Jupiter. The light suddenly got very bright and seemed to be hurtling toward Earth. My friend and I got startled and fearful as it got closer and maneuvered. We could make out a dark disc shape emitting the bright light and realized this was a ufo that seemed to be struggling as if it were going to crash. Two others on the beach also saw it. We watched the ufo struggle for an hour- lighting up the clouds with a massive light until we noticed 6 other lights that appeared around the ufo as if other smaller ones came to help it. The 7 ufos flew out of the atmosphere after an hour observation. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Hawaii Bright Orb

Waikiki – My wife and I were on holiday on the North Shore, Oahu, on 24th May, 2014 with a bus tour of about 10 people. I took this photo on my smart phone for the scenery. Nothing unusual appeared or occurred at the time this picture was taken. I didn’t download these photos until today.

Upon viewing them it is plainly visible that two bright orbs of light are visible both left and right of the photo in the sky and a 3rd orb is visible directly above the orb on the right but much smaller in size and perhaps further away. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Missouri –Objects

Holt Summit – On April 19, 2014 the witness had frequent sightings of unexplained aerial phenomena and has taken many photos and videos. One of the better photos is displayed in this report. The witness described this sighting as similar to “Kenneth Arnold’s Saucer Sighting in 1947.” The photo was taken with a Canon Power shot Camera. The witness wrote

Ozark — I took a picture of a parking lot light and captured the image in the distance on December 1, 2014. I took two pictures within one second of each other and I never moved the camera. The object changed its location in the two pictures taken at 11:26 PM. The light looked like a UFO. It wasn’t until after the photos were taken that I noticed the anomaly and that they changed locations all within one second. Montana Object

Trout Creek — I was just playing around a little bit – because I’ve never used Google Street View before, and I was amazed with both the GSV photo-realistic quality and technology and with the beauty of this land’s landscape. I have been investigating UFO phenomena for many years and found something interesting.

If it’s not what it looks like for me for a UFO it might be a “Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk” or something similar. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Nevada Lights

Blue Diamond — I was driving into town ten miles out of Las Vegas, near Red Rock Canyon when I spotted this very bright, pulsating red-orange light in the sky on December 5, 2014. The object was just under the clouds. It was hovering in place, for a moment, then lowered and rose back up again.

Suddenly a fainter, white light appeared to come out of it and flew off rapidly much faster than any plane could have. The red-orange object hovered for another minute then disappeared. I know for sure, this wasn’t a plane, or some man-made light. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Disc

Camden — I know it was Easter, somewhere between 1968-1970, when I was 10 years old. I was the first one out of my brother’s house on Bergen Street waiting for my parents. I turned and saw the object silently gliding at treetop height moving south. I stood there, dumbfounded, but realized it was a UFO right away. It was wider than the city street, silver, with orange, segmented windows that had a steady glow to them. It slowly moved along the street, and passed behind the branches a large tree at the end of the block. I watched it disappear behind a house. I was stunned and had a hard time sleeping for the next few nights, as I tried to understand what I had seen. To this day, this is the thing that has me convinced that we are not alone in this universe.

New York Sphere

Grand Island — Raymond Peter Kot II, Esq. and his mother Alice H. Kot, both observed an unorganized cluster of five reddish-orange UFO’s at about 8:15 PM, on October 10, 2014. They were moving in a disorganized pattern moving east towards Grand Island Blvd. Immediately after I turned on my Alcatel Smartphone video camera, the objects changed course and began traveling south and into a 5,000 feet cloud layer. Then a sixth “straggler” craft followed the same course. I was amazed at both their silence and very slow speed, maybe less than 100 M.P.H. Finally I amazed myself that I wasn’t at all frightened by what I was observing.

My mother and I love listening to your interesting reports on Rense.com and will file a formal MUFON report.

I am a solo practice attorney that lives on Grand Island, the largest fresh water island in North America. I possess a very high I.Q. and know what I was observing were not regular aircraft navigation lighting pattern that is mandated by the FAA. Thanks to Raymond P. North Carolina Light

On November 28, 2014, I was on the back porch on Thanks Giving Day and a storm was developing, so I took a shot at the dark area while the sun shined through. The original photo is a lot better then what I am giving you because it’s on my wife’s phone.
The object when zoomed out is gray sphere with 5 white pixels separated like a dice. Below this sphere is what looks like a cigarette smoke ring from this UFO. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Melbourne — My name is Antoinette Piastrino and I’m 18 years old that on October 27, 2014, captured a flying saucer during a lightning storm. Lightning struck the street light causing a blackout as I shot.

This is actually my first capture of a legit Flying Saucer. I have seen them with my own eyes but never recorded them. I have had weird experiences too. I have a YouTube Channel and I uploaded the full footage and an analysed footage. So, I’m wondering if anyone else saw the same thing.

Canada Lights

Abbotsford, British Columbia – On December 2, 2014. I was just north of the border looking south when I took this photo of an Eagle and an orb. Whatever it is it is at a very high altitude. I have photographed high flying bombers flying between Alaska and the lower 48 and I can make them out in the photograph so I know this is a lot higher. The sun was just to the right in the photograph.

A couple months ago I sent you two photos of two bright points of light that were in my photographs of birds. Today I got another at about 10:30 AM

Abbotsford, BC — I have a photo here with two curiosities. First, what drew my attention was a ring or circle in the western sky south of the setting sun on December 3, 2014 about 4:15 PM. I drive this area doing bird photography and have never seen this before so I took some photos. In one photo I noticed colored orbs in the photos. Colombia Red disk

Bogota D.C. – I observed a circular object moving slow down a mountain on December 1, 2014, and have a photographic record with an ipad. We saw a red disk with lights flying around in the sky. The sighting duration was 40 minutes long. Thanks to MUFON CMS

India V

Delhi — I was traveling in a bus close to Greater Noida with my friends when we saw this ‘V’ pattern in the sky on December 2, 2014. It was red and triangular in shape that looked like an alien mother-ship. The light trail was not human made. Since it was dark there was no reason of it to glow red unless it had its own source of light. I got scared and showed my friend, who is not a believer in aliens.

I do have this picture, but it’s not very clear. I hope you will study this picture and event and get me something on it. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Mexico Three Orbs

Guadalajara – This eyewitness is a bit shy and posts videos without a lot of information, but he is reliable and only posts his own videos. He is constantly on the lookout for orbs over Mexico and he caught three of them in close formation on December 6, 2014.

Mexico is a hotbed of UFO activity which may be due to the large number of active volcanoes. They like an area where few people travel to visit, so they choose to open and close doorways in the mouth of volcanoes to get to their underground bases. Thanks to ufosightingsdaily.com

New Zealand UFO Sighting Query

Christchurch — I am writing to inquire about the major UFO sighting in Christchurch, New Zealand circa November 1991, that I cannot find in any internet/UFO file/government data anywhere, as if the entire incident has been deleted. It was reported in the Christchurch Press and on TVNZ yet all records of it have mysteriously disappeared.

I was a significant witness to the event and have an extraordinary story to tell, yet all the witnesses including four teenage boys who appeared on national television involved are not on record anywhere. Can anyone help me to track down the data, record, newspaper articles, TV footage and in return I will give you the full story which even now would make sensational news. New Zealand and the USAF visited several days later seeking information from people living in Sumner, Christchurch.

Puerto Rico Object

Culebra — The following event occurred November 24, 2014 in the large bay called Enseanada Honda. I was on a hill on the southwest side looking to the northeast shooting an American Kestrel while the bird was hunting from a telephone pole. It’s a fairly small falcon, so even with a 300 mm zoom lens it is pretty small. I got within 40 feet using my old Nikon D70s that shoots quality photos. To get a great shot of the falcon flying, the camera remains in focus and I hold the button while the camera is blowing out shots at 3 per second.
Reviewing my 200 shots taken in 3 minutes at 2:45 pm, I noticed an image appear and disappear within 14 frames in basically the same location. It is my opinion that this was a hovering ufo. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Taiwan Lights

Taipei — This sighting is from a father of one of my English students taken on December 6, 2014. He sent me this photo asking me what I thought about these two blue glowing lights. He said his daughter noticed some lights in the sky, so he parked the car at 6:40 pm and took this image.

The lights were blue, silent and moving together slowly. My family and I were there just an hour earlier and missed it. This is at the Taipei 101 building, which was once the tallest building in the world and had the first UFO sighting of 2012 that I recorded in person. Thanks to ufosightingsdaily.com

UK/England Pilot Spots Flying Man

Macclesfield News states — Pilots on a passenger plane were stunned when a “flying man” zipped past the side of their aircraft at 3,500 feet as they flew over Macclesfield.

Aviation experts admitted they were baffled by the sighting of the human UFO, who has been dubbed the ‘Superman of Macclesfield’.

He appeared from nowhere as the Airbus 320 passed above Broken Cross and towards central Macclesfield while it was coming in to land at Manchester Airport.

The pilot and first officer, who reported the sighting to air traffic control, thought the man was a para-glider but could not see a canopy. The allegedly airborne man was above the Rainow area when spotted. And the mystery deepened when there was no sign of him on radar. A family member of mine knew I am in this field of research and caught some strange lights that he could not explain with his cell phone. He is ex-military and I would consider him a sound individual with good discernment. The anomalies in the video were recorded December 2nd in the evening approximately at 18:00 in Vancouver, WA near the Westfield Shopping Center. There were 4 lights that went from dim to super bright lights just hanging in the sky for 10 minutes or so and then just kind of flew off. He did not record the whole observation, rather just 2 and a half minutes of the occurrence. He thought that one of the lights could have been an airplane, but the path it took was kind of odd for an airplane not to mentions they seemed way to close together. The lights/objects were East of where he was standing. They didn’t appear to be too far away, if he had to guess he would say about 5-10 miles out. They were way too low to the ground to be any type of commercial airliner in his opinion. They all seem to be hovering until the top one (shown in the video) started moving to the North/Northwest.

Michigan witness recalls landed UFO and ‘little people’ on ground

A Michigan witness recalls a UFO event at his parent’s home in Dexter when the family observed a landed object in their hay field with “little people” walking around, according to testimony in Case 61909 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was 6 years old on August 14, 1967, when he woke from sleep after hearing his parents having a loud conversation.

“I went into our kitchen and asked what was up,” the witness stated. “My father said you need to go back to bed, but my mother said she thought I ought to see what was happening.”

The witness said that his mother then walked him outside and asked him to look toward their back hay field.

“What I saw has stayed with me every day following this.”

The witness described the events.

“I still see the haze in the air around the object and the very little people walking around the object. There was no real defined shape other than it looked to be sort of oval and sort of big.”

The witness said he came home from school the next day, did his chores, and then asked his mother where his father was.

“She told me he had been in the back hay field all day. I went out to the field and found my dad pacing the field from one spot to another to another.”

The witness questioned his father about what he was doing.

“He pointed at the ground and I saw that there was a bare spot there. My father showed me two other bare spots in the field. I knew that there were no bare spots in the field because I had walked the field with my father the day before.”

Over the years, the witness said nothing ever grew in those spots.

“My father tried everything that he could think of to get something to grow in those spots.”

And according to the witness, someone had actually photographed the object.

“There was a picture of the object in the Dexter newspaper the following day of the event. I was the one who said the picture in the paper was from behind our barn. My father and mother both said it was. I knew it was from behind our barn because there was a tree in the picture in the frame with the edge of a small pond by it – then a fence and then the field with the object in it setting on the ground.”

Dexter is a city in Washtenaw County, population 4,067. Michigan has a current UFO Alert Rating of 5 with a low number of recent reports nationally. Michigan had 10 UFO reports that occurred during November 2014 – calculated at 1.01 sightings per million population.

The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

November of 1991, the opening stages of what would become perhaps the most intense outbreaks of UFO sightings and related phenomena in southwestern and south-central Missouri were well underway.  The first mysterious livestock mutilations had already occurred and stories of everything from strange lights in the sky to close encounters with what seemed to be highly exotic aerial crafts were a frequent topic of discussion across the region.At approximately 10:15 that night Scott Freeman and his cousin were eastbound on Dent County Route H about five miles west of Salem when Scott’s cousin noticed what appeared to be an aircraft at low altitude and still descending as it approached the road from the left above a field.  Its path would take the craft over the roadway not far in front of them, but it was at this point that events took an abrupt turn into the unknown. Quoting from the initial email I received from Scott on Nov. 23, 2014:  “Believing that it was an airplane, we accelerated to approximately 90 miles per hour so as to pass under the plane as it crossed the highway (it seemed like the cool thing to do at the time). The object reached H Highway before our car had the chance to pass under it or even get close to it and, much to our dismay, the object came to a complete stop above H Highway. As our car came to a screeching halt, it slid up under the object and stalled out.”  In a later email answering a few questions I had posed to him, Scott expressed the opinion that the vehicle died As a result of the sudden stop, not from any form of electromagnetic interference from the UFO.  At this point any thoughts on their part of a conventional aircraft evaporated. They could clearly discern the triangular shape of the hovering craft, and by rolling down the windows were able to confirm its absolute silence. In place of the familiar navigation lights required by the FAA, there were three bright, round white lights on the underside.

A Nashville-area haunted house is getting into the Christmas spirit this weekend, with Zombie Santa, his undead elves and one demonic reindeer going on the attack for fun and charity.

"Instead of Christmas cheer, we are spreading some holiday fear," said Carroll Moore, who is turning his Halloween season "Death Yard Haunted Attraction" in Hendersonville into a Yuletide horror show this Friday and Saturday.

For $10 and an unwrapped new toy, visitors can pass through the 13,000-square-foot warehouse northeast of Nashville crammed with horrors. For $5 more, they can go to the paintball range just outside and take 15 shots at Zombie Santa and his friends.

"You can unload on the undead," Moore said. "Maybe Santa Claus wasn't good to you last year."

The unwrapped new toys will go to Last Minute Toy Store, which operates out of a Nashville church and gives parents who cannot afford toys a chance to look for things their children might want, for no cost.

Moore said he hopes his Zombie Christmas attraction will become just as much a holiday tradition as driving around to look at lights or going to see the Rockettes.

Moore is also offering chainsaw-wielding maniacs and killer clowns, dressed for the holidays.

Nita Haywood, who helps run the Last Minute Toy Store at the 61st Avenue United Methodist Church, where she is director of children, youth and family ministries, said she will visit Horrific Haunted Holiday.

"It's different, but new toys are new toys. And what a way to get teens involved," she said. - Yahoo

"Black Widow" Suspected of Killing at Least a Half-Dozen Men

A Japanese woman facing trial for poisoning her husband with cyanide may have also murdered as many as six former boyfriends, authorities say.

Police initially thought Chisako Kakehi's husband, Isao, died of a heart attack—until they discovered traces of cyanide in his blood. Investigators say at least six of Kakehi's romantic interests—all older, well-situated men—met similar ends.

Reports also suggest money was a factor, and Kakehi is rumored to have collected as much as $8 million from her dead paramours. Via the New York Times:

Bright Green Sphere w/ White Lights

Copperopolis, CA - 12/9/2014: While taking a photo of the sunrise this morning, I noticed a shiny disk in my picture. I waited a few minutes and took another shot. The disc was still there. I then enlarged the photo by zooming it and noticed a bright green round sphere with white dots on it. I even took another picture of the sky and the disc was still there. I waited a few minutes and took another picture and the sky had become covered in clouds so the disk was no longer visible. I immediately contacted MUFON. Batemans Bay yowie sighting an Australian first

We uncover a little known piece of Australian history and in doing so rekindle a long running argument between an amateur and professional scientist.

Batemans Bay holds a significant place in Australian yowie history.

This will be new information for many locals, but a dig through the archives unearths a rich history around this mythical Bigfoot-type creature and the South East of New South Wales.

Aboriginal communities are said to have known about and named the yowie prior to Cook and Phillip dropping anchor. It is believed that white man contact with the yowie was first documented in a formal sense on December 9 1882 in The Australian Town and Country Journal.

Amateur naturalist Henry James McCooey wrote of his encounter with a strange creature in bushland between Batemans Bay and Ulladulla.

His words from 132 years ago conjure a jaw-dropping image.

He writes:

"A few days ago I saw one of these strange animals in an unfrequented locality on the coast between Bateman's Bay and Ulladulla. My attention was attracted to it by the cries of a number of small birds which were pursuing and darting at it. When I first beheld the animal it was standing on its hind legs, partly upright, looking up at the birds above it in the bushes, blinking its eyes and distorting its visage and making a low chattering kind of noise. Being above the animal on a slight elevation and distant from it less than a chain, I had ample opportunity of noting its size and general appearance.

"I should think that if it were standing perfectly upright it would be nearly 5ft high. It was tailless and covered with very long black hair, which was of a dirty red or snuff-colour about the throat and breast. Its eyes, which were small and restless, were partly hidden by matted hair that covered its head. The length of the fore legs or arms seemed to be strikingly out of proportion with the rest of its body, but in all other respects its build seemed to be fairly proportional. It would probably weigh about 8st. On the whole it was a most uncouth and repulsive looking creature, evidently possessed of prodigious strength, and one which I should not care to come to close quarters with. Having sufficiently satisfied my curiosity, I throw a stone at the animal, whereupon it immediately rushed off, followed by the birds, and disappeared in a ravine which was close at hand."
What a sight!

Myf Thompson, volunteer curator at the Old Court House Museum in Batemans Bay, says it's a piece of the town's history that is news to her and isn't widely known.

Upon learning of this local yowie link, Myf tossed her plans for the day out the window and researched further. The National Libraries bank of digitized newspapers along with Wikipedia and various yowie websites combined to add to the story.

Myf uncovered a stand-off between McCooey and the curator of the Australian Museum in Sydney at the time, Edward Pierson Ramsay.

Records suggest that Mr Ramsay questioned the existence of such a creature which in those days of the colony was also described as an 'Australian ape'.

Looking at those early documents, Myf believes that McCooey and his claims were poo-pooed by academics like Ramsay because he was an amateur.

We only have one side of the back and forth between the two but clearly it's a passionate debate.

Again in The Australian Town and Country Journal, McCooey writes:

"The mere fact of no apes [are] found in the Sydney Museum does not justify us in rushing to the conclusion that there are none in the colony, for it is extremely improbable that any ape will be foolhardy enough to present itself at the museum to undergo the somewhat delicate operation of stuffing; and beyond the fact that there are, none to be found in the Sydney Museum there is not one scintilla of evidence to prove that they are not to be found in the colony, while there is abundance of evidence to show that they are."

Imagine Ramsay's reaction at reading that.

McCooey goes on trying to prove his case:

"I do not claim to be the first who has seen this animal, for I can put my finger on half a dozen men at Bateman's Bay who have seen the same, or at any rate an animal of a similar description; but I think I am the first to come forward in the columns of a newspaper and give publicity to the fact of having seen it.

"I may mention that a search party was organised at Bateman's Bay some months ago to surround the locality [and] the supposed ape... and shoot or capture it, but the idea was abandoned in consequence of the likelihood of gun accidents; and I may further state that the skeleton of an ape, 4ft in length, may be seen at any time in a cave 14 miles from Bateman's Bay, in the direction of Ulladulla."
It appears that in December of 1882, Ramsay offered McCooey 100 pounds to bring in his yowie dead or alive. McCooey believed it was a challenge he could meet but, as far as we can tell, the 100 pounds wasn't claimed.

Eleven months later on October 20 1883 the discourse is still bubbling between the two men.

McCooey, writing from Mandurama between Bathurst and Cowra on October 15 1883, says:

"...the position taken by the Curator of the Museum is absolutely untenable... there are indigenous apes in this colony...they have been frequently seen in Budawong mountains, in Jingera mountains, and in the Abercrombie mountains, at Bateman's Bay, at Mount Macdonald, and on the Guy Fawkes-road between Armidale and Grafton...apes were known to the aborigines of this colony, and were dreaded by them, long before a museum was founded in Australia, or a white man crossed the Murray; and that one was actually captured and killed near Braidwood within the memory of persons still living."

Referring to her understanding of the research, Myf Thompson feels Ramsay questioned McCooey's motivations, suggesting he was more interested in claiming the money, and that it was the amateur naturalist who suggested the cash reward not him. Ramsay's impression is perhaps built on talk at the time of McCooey's criminal record which points to claims of fraud.

Ramsay also seemed to suggest that the Australian landscape couldn't sustain a creature such as McCooey's.

Speculation continues to this day about the existence of a yowie in local bush land.

Callers to ABC South East point to sightings and gossip between 1960 and the early 80s around the Budawangs and at the top of Clyde Mountain at the head of the Clyde River, adding to McCooey's case. However, like Ramsay 130 years ago, we wait for firm evidence.

What isn't in doubt is Batemans Bay's connection with this unique Australian story, perhaps rediscovering it in 2014 will bring more talk.

Canada's sasquatch experts search for truth

The sasquatch scientific community is not a large group but two Canadian researchers stand tall in their midst.

Thomas Steenburg and John Green are among the elite of researchers with a large body of work, both published and Internet-based.

“I’ve been involved in sasquatch research since 1957,” said the retired 87-year-old Green who lives in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C. and is regarded as a cryptozoology authority. “In fact, I started hunting sasquatch when the village of Harrison Hot Springs decided to hunt for the sasquatch. I did a story on it, and it started what has turned into a lifelong quest. My wife and I went down to Bluff Creek, California in 1958 and began making plaster casts of prints found near a logging road.”

He said efforts were later made to discredit the footprints claiming them to be man-made and faked, a notion that has followed nearly every footprint discovery since then.

“While I have not seen a sasquatch myself, I have investigated hundreds of sightings. I have seen the Patterson-Gimlin film, and I believe that they are real,” said Green during a telephone interview. “After all, why would anyone want to fake anything like that?”
The octogenarian author noted he was in the area of California where the famed film was taken a few weeks prior, and was taken to a site where nearly 500 footprints were found by a contractor, made by possibly three individual Bigfoot walking along a road. By the time he arrived, all he could find was a handful, but he took casts of them.

“The issue of whether or not sasquatch is real depends on a couple of issues, those being how did it come across to North America, and how can we link it to any physical evidence.”

The researcher believes the creature to be an entirely different species than humanoids, and an advanced primate, adding that DNA evidence may already be in our possession but we don’t recognize it. There have been discoveries of a huge Asian ape made that might possibly be our sasquatch dating back only 10,000 years ago.

“Scientists seem to automatically tag a bipedal discovery as ‘human’, where they may really be part of the sasquatch story,” said Green. “We also have to wonder why we have not found any recent skeletons, but due to the likely small number and habitats it would have to be a miracle to find one.”

He added that it is virtually impossible for someone to fake footprints worldwide for so long without some evidence of their efforts. The work to create the mystery would not be worth the effort.

"In this field things are upside down and backwards," said Green. "The people who investigate are called 'believers' and the people who believe there can't be any such thing and therefore don't investigate are called scientists. The Gundiah-Mackay Alien Abduction

An extraordinary and controversial mood has developed around events that reportedly began late on the evening of Thursday, October 4th, 2001, at a Gundiah property near Tiaro, culminating in the early hours of Friday, October 5th, 2001, and then played out in the glare of rapidly escalating media coverage.

Three people were directly involved in these alleged events. Keith Rylance (40), his wife Amy (22), and their business partner, Petra Heller (39) were on their property, which was being developed as “Whispering Winds” winery. Other potential activities were also being developed at the location. The following account comes from interviews conducted by us with them, along with primary source material such as TV interviews.

Keith Rylance told us that he had gone to sleep in the caravan bedroom at about 9.30 pm. Petra retired to her bedroom in the caravan annex. Amy stayed on a couch watching TV in the caravan annex “lounge room”. Each of these locations were in close proximity, separated by a window and wall respectively from the lounge room. Petra’s room had a door leading to the lounge room, which was left ajar. The door to the bedroom, where Keith was, apparently was open to the lounge room. Amy apparently fell asleep on the couch. A storm was in the area.

Around 11.15 pm, Petra was reportedly woken up and when she entered the adjacent lounge was confronted by an extraordinary sight, that allegedly quickly overwhelmed her. A rectangular beam of light was being projected through the open window of the caravan lounge room. This light beam appeared to be truncated at the end. Inside the beam Petra claims to have seen Amy in a sleep prone position, being carried out head first through the window. Underneath her, also within the beam were the items that had been on the coffee table adjacent to the couch Amy had been on. Before apparently fainting in shock Petra saw that the beam was coming from a disc shaped UFO hovering just above the ground a short distance away, near a tree at the rear of the clear section, immediately behind the annex caravan house.

Petra reports she believes she was only in a faint for a very short period of time. Regaining consciousness, she began screaming. Keith reports that he was awoken by the commotion coming from Petra. As he came from the caravan bedroom and stepped down into the lounge room annex Keith claims he was confronted by the sight of a highly agitated Petra and the contents of the coffee table on the floor in front of the window. He told us that he soon realised that the window screen was torn in both a vertical fashion and along the bottom of the window frame. Keith indicated that initially he couldn’t get any sense out of Petra who was crying and very agitated, so he rushed outside trying to locate Amy. She was reportedly nowhere to be found. Keith states when he started to be less agitated himself he was eventually able to get from Petra an idea of what happened. Keith claims he initially refused to believe what Petra was telling him. He said he rushed outside again trying to find his wife. Eventually as the situation became clearer, Keith indicates he decided to call the police.

Keith call the Tiaro police around 11.40 pm reporting that his wife had been abducted and imploring that the police should come out. The manning status at that time meant there were some delays in the police coming out, but about hour and a half after the initial call Senior Constable Robert Maragna from Tiaro and an officer from Maryborough arrived at the site. Initially police thought they might have been walking into a situation involving foul play, even perhaps a murder scene, but then the bizarre circumstances of the alleged events came into focus. The two people, Keith and Petra, at the Gundiah property were claiming that Amy Rylance had been abducted by a “spaceship”! The officers were struggling to keep an open mind. They were joined later by Sgt. John Bosnjak, the officer in charge of the Tiaro police. He had been asleep when the police called him to assist in the investigation.

The three officers continued their investigations at the site. They confirmed that Keith Rylance and Petra Heller appeared to be in an agitated state and that there was no sign of Amy Rylance. The torn screen was examined. A flowering bush, commonly known as “yesterday, today, tomorrow” was located immediately outside the left side of window, had indications of possibly being affected by heat or another mechanism along its right side. Oddly another flowering bush, a hibiscus, located immediately on the right hand side of the window area was not affected in the same way. The police took samples for possible later testing.

While the police were at the property, a phone call came through, which was taken by Keith Rylance. A woman was calling from Mackay indicating that she had taken a somewhat distressed and apparently dehydrated young woman from a BP petrol service station on the northern outskirts of central Queensland city of Mackay, some 790 kilometres to the north of the Gundiah – Tiaro area. The young woman turned out to be Amy Rylance, and the female caller was ringing to advise that Amy was apparently all right and was at the Mackay hospital, where she had been examined by a doctor. Keith handed the phone to Snr. Constable Marangna.

Given these extraordinary circumstances Mackay police were called in, making a total of three police stations involved in the investigation – Tiaro, n outskirts of central Queensland, Maryborough on the coast and Mackay is some 790 kilometres to the north of the Gundiah – Tiaro area.

A statement was notarised by the Mackay police with a Justice Act acknowledgement, that required Amy to acknowledge that it was true to the best of her knowledge and belief, and that if it is admitted as evidence, that she may be liable to prosecution if she had indicated anything in it that she knew was false.

This statement indicated that she last only recollected lying on the couch at the Gundiah property. She had no recollection of the events that Petra described, but claimed she then next remembered waking up lying on a bench in a strange rectangular room. Illumination came from the walls and the ceiling. She was alone. She indicated she called out and heard what seemed to be a male voice, asking her to be calm and that everything would be alright and that she would not be harmed. Soon an opening appeared in the wall and “a guy” about 6 feet tall walked into the room. The man appeared to be slender in build but in perfect proportion, covered head to foot in a full body suit. He had what seemed to be a black covering mask on his face, with a hole for his eyes, nose and mouth. He repeated his calming assurances. Amy felt she had been there a while. The guy told her they were returning her to a place not far from where they took her from, because the lights were wrong at the property and it wasn’t safe. She then indicates she found herself lying on the bed and falling asleep. The next thing she recollects is that she woke up on the ground with trees around her. She felt disorientated, could smell the ocean, and indicated she was not sure how long she tumbled through bushland, but seemingly it was for a long time, but she felt she wasn’t making much progress. She then came out onto a road that looked like a highway and saw a light from a petrol station. She walked into the station, where staff seeing her state, tried to off some assistance. She accepted some water, as she felt somewhat dehydrated. Initially she was not able to answer identifying questions, and didn’t know where she was. She was also asked if she had been drinking or was on drugs, to which she said no. Amy indicated she felt tired, sore, drained and lethargic. She asked a woman at the service station to take her to the hospital, as she didn’t know of where else to go. The woman and her friend took Amy to the hospital. Later Amy spoke with two police officers and also spoke with her husband Keith from the hospital. She then went to Mackay police station where she gave the statement of events. Amy also indicated that this sort of thing had never happened to her before, but when she was in 5th year school she had seen a large UFO surrounded by smaller objects.

The police arranged to put Amy in a motel pending the arrival of her husband. He and Petra arrived during the day and indicated they spent considerable time with Amy discussing what happen. Extensive notes were apparently made and photographs were taken of a triangular arrangement of marks on her inner right thigh, marks on each heel and the growing out of her hair which she had dyed earlier in the week. Her hair had apparently started to show her former colour, suggestive that some considerable time had passed for her, apparently indicative of rather more than a few hours. Body hair had allegedly also become somewhat more pronounced that would otherwise would be apparent for the short time involved.

Via an Newsagent’s a copy of the Australian Ufologist magazine was purchased, Keith, Petra and Amy started to learn more about UFOs. Keith Rylance contacted the Australian UFO Research Network office number mentioned in the magazine. Diane Harrison took the call Date: Fri, 5 Oct 2001 15:20 p.m and for the next hour or so listened to the story that Keith and Amy told. Petra was apparently sleeping at the time.

Given the nature of the story, its complexity and the fact it apparently featured the alleged use of “solid light”, Diane decide to bring Bill Chalker into the investigation, making contact with him during the evening of Friday, October 5th. Paradoxically Bill was scheduled to talk at a Brisbane UFO conference on October 13th, and his topics included “solid light” cases and the application of science to alien abduction cases. Bill put a call through to them at the motel, securing permission to record the conversation. Once again Petra was not available to talk about her part in the alleged events. Keith Rylance went into considerable detail about the events, referring often to the notes they had apparently been compiling during the day. The details described covered the events Petra had witnessed, what Keith had experienced, and what Amy told them had happened to her during her experience. Finally Bill spoke with Amy, focusing mainly on the events before and after the claimed onboard experiences, because Keith had already gone into considerable detail about the latter. Bill discussed with Amy her general responses and her physical state and her current state of thought on her experiences. Keith Rylance seemed to what to control how both media and investigators would get involved. His desire to contact the media promptly drew from both Diane and Bill the suggestion that he should think very carefully about the possible ramifications of doing so. Keith seemed to feel that it was important to get the story out, as it would come out anyway and this way he could control the way it did. He was also trying to restrict the way the investigators could or should look into their experience. He claimed they didn’t need to proof the experience. While he didn’t directly witness the experiences he believed both Amy and Petra.

Given the possible nature of the event, and that irrespective of the ultimate resolution of the affair, it seemed destined to be a big story, Diane and Bill decided undertake an investigation. They had been given an indication from Keith Rylance that the three would wait for the investigators to come to Mackay. The claimants were in no apparent hurry to return to Gundiah. They gave permission for Bill and Diane to visit the property on the way. Bill arrived in the Brisbane area on Tuesday afternoon, October 9th.

Diane and Bill then travelled to Gundiah, arriving at the Whispering Winds winery property, just after 10 pm. Because of the lateness of the hour, we got the witnesses permission to stay there overnight and to conduct whatever investigation we needed to do. Keith had arranged for a neighbour to regularly check on the two pets left behind, namely a parrot and a kelpie dog. He indicated to us that it would be okay to let the dog off for a run, but warned us it was very friendly but inclined to jump all over people.

We let the dog off at some point and observed its behaviour. At one point it did jump up on the window where the damaged screen was located. This gave some support to the possibility that at least some, if not all of the damage, could have been caused by the dog. Some of the damage on closer inspection seemed suggestive of possible dog damage. Our inspection of the plant damage also suggested possible prosaic causes, such as heat stress. A plant at the front of the house had similar damage and a healthy flowering bush of the same species that was at the window, was examined by us at Mount Basset lawn cemetery has similar damaged. A gardener there we spoke to indicated that the species often had random or more extensive damage of a heat stress nature from hot sunlight. The prosaic possibilities for both the screen and the plant damage are only suggestive at this point and further investigation is required.

We undertook extensive investigations at the property and the area. Police were very helpful. Our investigation generated many issues and questions, which we feel need resolution, in order to assist interpretations of these events. Further extensive investigations were undertaken in Mackay, focusing in particular at the area where Amy Rylance returned. These included attempts to reconstruct the circumstances of Amy’s return, through onsite research. The BP petrol service station staff were spoken with and a surveillance video tape that may contain Amy’s visit there was provided to us by the station owner. This part of our investigation also generated many issues and questions that need resolution if we are to approach any measure of certainty about the real nature of the events alleged.

Keith Rylance indicated to us he would be available to us when we got to Mackay, but it was made clear to us early on the first day of our investigations there that this wasn’t probably going to be the case. When we contacted the motel where they had been the night before, their third motel in Mackay, we learned they had apparently already checked out that morning. We left messages on their phone but didn’t hear from Keith until early on the afternoon of our second day, as we were leaving Mackay. In his mobile call, Keith apologised for not being available, but was indicating they had relocated to an unspecified location after having fled the area. The primary reason for this Keith indicated was that they claimed they had a kind of “men-in-black” experience. In this case Keith was reporting a pursuit of their vehicle by a high powered dark brown 4 wheel truck. The nature of this event apparently frightened Keith, Amy and Petra, prompting Keith to attempt to loose the vehicle and eventually leave the area.

Before the completion of this preliminary report (14th October) we have heard from Keith again. We remain hopeful that they will get into more direct contact with us.

This affair is both extraordinary and controversial. Many have rushed to judgement, but given it’s complex and evolving dynamics, caution and patience is necessary. We have many issues and questions we would like to try to resolve. Further contact with the Rylances and Petra Heller may help this process. The case is far from closed and requires an objective, open minded investigation. Keith Rylance told us that he had gone to sleep in the trailer bedroom at about 9.30 pm. Petra retired to her bedroom trailer annex. Amy stayed on a couch watching TV in the "lounge room". Each of these locations were in close proximity, separated by a window and wall respectively from the lounge room. Petra's room had a door leading to the lounge room, which was left ajar. The door to the bedroom, where Keith was, apparently was open to the lounge room. Amy apparently fell asleep on the couch. A storm was in the area.

Around 11.15 pm, Petra was reportedly woken up and when she entered the adjacent lounge was confronted by an extraordinary sight, that allegedly quickly overwhelmed her. A rectangular beam of light was being projected through the open window of the trailer lounge room. This light beam appeared to be truncated at the end. Inside the beam Petra claims to have seen Amy in a sleep prone position, being carried out head first through the window. Underneath her, also within the beam were the items that had been on the coffee table adjacent to the couch Amy had been on. Before apparently fainting in shock Petra saw that the beam was coming from a disc shaped UFO hovering just above the ground a short distance away, near a tree at the rear of the clear section, immediately behind the annex trailer house.

Petra reports she believes she was only in a faint for a very short period of time. Regaining consciousness, she began screaming. Keith reports that he was awoken by the commotion coming from Petra. As he came from the bedroom and stepped down into the lounge room annex Keith claims he was confronted by the sight of a highly agitated Petra and the contents of the coffee table on the floor in front of the window. He told us that he soon realised that the window screen was torn in both a vertical fashion and along the bottom of the window frame. Keith indicated that initially he couldn't get any sense out of Petra who was crying and very agitated, so he rushed outside trying to locate Amy.

She was reportedly nowhere to be found. Keith states when he started to be less agitated himself he was eventually able to get from Petra an idea of what happened. Keith claims he initially refused to believe what Petra was telling him. He said he rushed outside again trying to find his wife. Eventually as the situation became clearer, Keith indicates he decided to call the police.

Keith call the Tiaro police around 11.40 pm reporting that his wife had been abducted and imploring that the police should come out. The manning status at that time meant there were some delays in the police coming out, but about hour and a half after the initial call Senior Constable Robert Maragna from Tiaro and an officer from Maryborough arrived at the site. Initially police thought they might have been walking into a situation involving foul play, even perhaps a murder scene, but then the bizarre circumstances of the alleged events came into focus. The two people, Keith and Petra, at the Gundiah property were claiming that Amy Rylance had been abducted by a "spaceship"! The officers were struggling to keep an open mind.

They were joined later by Sgt. John Bosnjak, the officer in charge of the Tiaro police. He had been asleep when the police called him to assist in the investigation. The three officers continued their investigations at the site. They confirmed that Keith Rylance and Petra Heller appeared to be in an agitated state and that there was no sign of Amy Rylance. The torn screen was examined. A flowering bush, commonly known as "yesterday, today, tomorrow" was located immediately outside the left side of window, had indications of possibly being affected by heat or another mechanism along its right side. Oddly another flowering bush, a hibiscus, located immediately on the right hand side of the window area was not affected in the same way. The police took samples for possible later testing.

While the police were at the property, a phone call came through, which was taken by Keith Rylance. A woman was calling from Mackay indicating that she had taken a somewhat distressed and apparently dehydrated young woman from a BP petrol service station on the northern outskirts of central Queensland city of Mackay, some 790 kilometres to the north of the Gundiah - Tiaro area. The young woman turned out to be Amy Rylance, and the female caller was ringing to advise that Amy was apparently all right and was at the Mackay hospital, where she had been examined by a doctor. Keith handed the phone to Snr. Constable Marangna.

Given these extraordinary circumstances Mackay police were called in, making a total of three police stations involved in the investigation -Tiaro, on outskirts of central Qeensland, Maryborough on the coast and Mackay, some 790 kilometres to the north of the Gundiah - Tiaro area. A statement was notarised by the Mackay police with a Justice Act acknowledgement, that required Amy to acknowledge that she had stated was true to the best of her knowledge and belief, and that if it is admitted as evidence, that she may be liable to prosecution if she had indicated anything in it that she knew was false.

This statement indicated that she last only recollected lying on the couch at the Gundiah property. She had no recollection of the events that Petra described, but claimed she then next remembered waking up lying on a bench in a strange rectangular room. Illumination came from the walls and the ceiling. She was alone. She indicated she called out and heard what seemed to be a male voice, asking her to be calm and that everything would be alright and that she would not be harmed. Soon an opening appeared in the wall and "a guy" about 6 feet tall walked into the room.

The man appeared to be slender in build but in perfect proportion, covered head to foot in a full body suit. He had what seemed to be a black covering mask on his face, with a hole for his eyes, nose and mouth. He repeated his calming assurances. Amy felt she had been there a while. The guy told her they were returning her to a place not far from where they took her from, because the lights were wrong at the property and it wasn't safe. She then indicates she found herself lying on the bed and falling asleep.

The next thing she recollects is that she woke up on the ground with trees around her. She felt disorientated, could smell the ocean, and indicated she was not sure how long she tumbled through bushland, but seemingly it was for a long time, but she felt she wasn't making much progress. She then came out onto a road that looked like a highway and saw a light from a petrol station. She walked into the station, where staff seeing her state, tried to offer some assistance. She accepted some water, as she felt somewhat dehydrated. Initially she was not able to answer identifying questions, and didn't know where she was.

She was also asked if she had been drinking or was on drugs, to which she said no. Amy indicated she felt tired, sore, drained and lethargic. She asked a woman at the service station to take her to the hospital, as she didn't know of where else to go. The woman and her friend took Amy to the hospital.

Later Amy spoke with two police officers and also spoke with her husband Keith from the hospital. She then went to Mackay police station where she gave the statement of events. Amy also indicated that this sort of thing had never happened to her before, but when she was in 5th year school she had seen a large UFO surrounded by smaller objects.

The police arranged to put Amy in a motel pending the arrival of her husband. He and Petra arrived during the day and indicated they spent considerable time with Amy discussing what happen. Extensive notes were apparently made and photographs were taken of a triangular arrangement of marks on her inner right thigh, marks on each heel and the growing out of her hair which she had dyed earlier in the week. Her hair had apparently started to show her former colour, suggestive that some considerable time had passed for her, apparently indicative of rather more than a few hours. Brazilian Island of Colares - UFO Encounters of 1977

In 1977, the Brazilian island of Colares was visited by flying objects of an unknown nature. Nearly all kinds of UFOs were seen; some big, some small, saucer shaped, cigar shaped, luminous or not. They arrived from the North every day, from the sky and also sometimes from underwater, and it lasted for months.

Regularly, some Island inhabitants were targeted by the objects, sending strange rays to them, and many were badly hurt, with two reported dead. The Army intervenes, the press follows. 35 people were hurt by the strange rays, and many fled from the Island.

The events mainly concentrated on the city of Colares, about 2,000 inhabitants, on Colares Island, which is in the region of Pará, the delta of the Amazon river on the northeastern coast of Brazil. But the whole region was visited by the same phenomenon. Which has brought many ufologists to visit the city.

Beginning in August of 1977, in the island of Colares, a strange phenomenon began to occur, that the Brazilian call Chupa-chupa.

Strange luminous objects appeared over the few towns of the region. These objects were often projecting thin rays, seemingly of light, directed at the people. The touched people fainted and woke up with a strange anemia. They stated that they felt as if some of their blood was removed by the strange rays.

The fisherman Manoel João de Oliveira Filho, aged 44, married and residing at No. 64 rua Carneiro de Mendonça, was strolling towards the beach early one morning with some companions, to spend a day at sea fishing.

Before they had arrived at their boats, they saw - above the Rio Novo beach - an object shaped "like an umbrella" stationary at about 4 meters from the ground. From its under-part came a vivid white light.

No sound was detectable from it from where they were standing. The object then moved away silently towards Machadinho, turning off the light as it went.

A carpenter named João Dias Costa (aged 44) and a fisherman, Joao da Cruz Silva (aged 54), both of Colares town, saw the notorious "luminous spheres" so greatly feared on account of their "low skimming swoops".

Another man from Colares town, Sr. Zacarias dos Santos Barata (74) saw the glowing balls on two nights. The first time, the object came from the direction of the Bay of Marajo, and rapidly vanished towards the interior of Colares Island.

On the second night another ball, blue in color, flew over the local football field. "It lit up all the trees around the field and then vanished towards the town's center,” said Sr. Zacarias.

Sr. Sebastiao Vernek "Zizi" Miranda described his experience as follows:

"I was there with my wife, Palmira, in front of the church on the sea-front, when at about 8.00 pm, we saw an intensely vivid "orangish" light coming in from the sea towards the town. As it approached, it climbed, and then, moving rapidly, vanished towards the inner part of the Island."

The barber Carlos Cardoso de Paula (aged 49), living at Travessa Deodoro da Fonseca No. 231, had a still closer encounter with the "lights", as he himself relates:

"Everybody else was asleep. I was just still having my last smoke when suddenly a ball of fire entered our house up near the ridgepole of the gable. It started shooting round and round the room, and then finally came right close to my hammock.

"It ran up my right leg as far as the knee (without touching my skin). I watched with much curiosity as it then moved across to the other leg. Then I started to feel feeble and sleepy. My cigarette fell from my hand and I came to and let out a yell. The fireball quickly vanished and everybody woke up.

"I think it had been searching for a vein in my body but didn’t manage to do so. As its brightness grew, I felt a sort of heat coming from it."

Worker Raimundo Costa Leite, very well known in the town of Colares for his skill in making and repairing fishing nets, described his own experience:

"At about 4.00 in the early morning, I went with my pal “Baixinho” (Orivaldo Malaquias Pinheiro) to fish off the beach at Cajueiro. As I recall it, Baixinho shouted, 'Look! There it is!' and took to his heels, leaving me alone on the beach.

"The craft was of the size and shape of a helicopter, made no noise, and was flying very high.

"I could have taken a pot-shot at it if I had had a gun with me. I was terrified when the machine shone a sort of searchlight down on the beach. That light was sweeping the ground, illuminating everything! It was a bluish light (sort of ‘cold light’).

"It made it easier for me to see this because the craft had several small reddish lights beneath its front part... The craft seemed to be seeking something on the ground.

"I was scared that it would touch me and, despite my poor physical condition, I managed to run quite a distance, and then Baixinho returned and helped me. The object had come from the direction of the sea and it headed off into the inner part of the Island."

Actually, so many more people reported being attacked by beams of light from small UFOs in this area that only few of them are mentioned here.

On October 20, three women were hit in the breast by the beams of light: "All three were overcome by tremendous nervous tension and an unknown sort of lassitude as though they were receiving constant electric shocks," wrote a newspaper.

On the evening of October 29, Benedito Campos and his seventeen-year-old wife Silvia Mara were at home when "they spotted an oval, silvery object emitting a greenish beam like a searchlight towards the room where they were lying.

"Filled with curiosity, they approached a small window and, as they did so, the beam shot in through it, and made straight for Silvia, throwing her into a sort of benumbed trance-like state."

Silvia, who was pregnant at the time, then fainted, whereupon two entities apparently entered the house carrying something resembling a golden torch and "once again the beam struck Silvia, this time hitting her in the left arm at the level of the wrist.

"Her veins seemed to 'rise up out of the body' so swollen were they by the beam striking them."

Later, while at a neighbour's house, Benedito was also briefly paralyzed by a light beam. Fearing a miscarriage, husband and wife were taken at night by boat to the Mosqueiro Medical Clinic, followed all the way by the UFO, which made no further attempt to harm them.

They remained there for three days while the wife recovered, but Benedito "was in a state of severe depression for some days, his motor functions disturbed and, as his mother reports, weeping frequently."

The UFO activity over Colares Island was so intense that the people began to think the "Chupa-chupas" were trying to make some sort of contact with them. Such was the view expressed by Sr. Raimundo Ferreira "Mimi" Monteiro. He still believes the craft were coming up out of the sea or out of some underwater base located in the Bay of Marajó, possibly in the region of the Caldeirão.

Alfredo Bastos Filho, a former town mayor, confirmed this and said: "Yes, indeed I can tell you, there wasn’t a moment of peace. The populace were terrified by that "Chupa-chupa" affair. I even managed to see one of the injured victims myself - Dona Mirota, a lady who was receiving medical treatment at the Health Clinic."

The locals became so frightened that many of the women and children left town. The men that remained lit bonfires to mount guard at night, letting off fireworks and banging tins whenever they saw the Chupa-chupas approaching.

Others locked themselves in their homes for fear of the phenomenon. It was mentioned later that the more din people made and the more bonfires and fireworks, the closer the craft came.

She took blood samples, and concluded that the victims suffered from generalized hypertermia, superficial chronic headache, burnings, intense heat, nauseas, tremors in the body, giddiness, asthenia and presented very small orifices in the skin where they were hit by the rays.

She wrote: "All of them had suffered lesions to the face or the thoracic area." The lesions, looking like radiation injuries, "began with intense reddening of the skin in the affected area. Later the hair would fall out and the skin would turn black. There was no pain, only a slight warmth. One also noticed small puncture marks in the skin. The victims were men and women of varying ages, without any pattern."

In describing their experiences with these light beams, most victims claimed that "They were immediately immobilized, as if a heavy weight pushed against their chest. The beam was about [seven or eight centimetres] in diameter and white in color. It never hunted for them but hit them suddenly.

"When they tried to scream, no sound would come out, but their eyes remained open. The beam felt hot, 'almost as hot as a cigarette burn,' barely tolerable. "After a few minutes the column of light would slowly retract and disappear." Most symptoms usually disappeared after seven days. "

At Agulhas Fincadas, Mrs. Maria Lopes, inhabitant of Vila Gorete, to the margins of Rio Tapajós, in the neighborhoods of Santarém (Pará), tells her case involving "strange devices" that absorb energy from human beings, known as Chupa-Chupa.

"I saw an object to settle quiet in the bushes here close... It had left two men and a woman, who had started to move with two fishing," counts Maria.

Other people in the place had been paralyzed when observing the scene. 

Many had hurt themselves when trying to escape one of the strange objects. In many cases, the marks left by the rays on the victims skin were marks that could have up to eight small holes. In these occurrences, the Chupa-Chupa term was proven right as many of them had lost up to approximately 300 ml of blood, from these wounds.

This was the case of Claudomira, resident in the Island of Colares. She claims that her family already did not sleep right with fear of the devices.

"In one of these days, after midnight, I woke up because of a strong flash, a sort of focussed bright green light ray that came down from the top roof to my left chest. I tried to shout, but my voice did not function. I felt an esquisite heat... Later, that beam of light diminished and I saw that I was burnt."

Claudomira told that she sighted a strange object, much similar to an umbrella, from which a being of clear skin, oriental eyes, and great ears.

According to her, the creature was dressed in tight green clothes and had a sort of pistol in the hand, which emitted the luminous beam. At this moment, Claudomira felt perforated as by needles on her breast.

"After this, I felt a migraine headache and a great weakness, that left me collapsed for several days."

The next day, she had been directed to the Sanitary Unit of the town, where she was taken care of by Doctor Wellaide Cecim Carvalho, who sent her to the Medical Institute Renato Chaves, in Belém, for backup examinations.

Her ill-being and the constant migraines lasted many days, followed by fatigue and weakness. Years later, Claudomira still did not feel cured.

"My health never came back to be the same since that night."

She is not the only one to have passed for such situation. Some estimate that thousands of people, also men, had suffered the attacks of the Chupa-Chupa in the years between 1970 and 1980, and they still occur today, though less frequently.

"Emotional and physical sequels are very common in these cases," affirmed Dr. Wellaide Cecim Carvalho, who took care of Claudomira.

Although she was skeptical and she believed that the occurrences of Chupa-Chupa were popular belief or some witchcraft, Dr. Wellaide ended up convinced of the veracity of the cases when she was confronted with their increasing frequency.

"With the increase of hurt people, I started to give more attention each time in the existing injuries. I saw things that do not exist in my medical books," she said.

According to her, the victims of Chupa-Chupa presented strangest burnings, not as those provoked by fire or hot water, as she thought herself, but very similar to ones produced by cobalt irradiation."

The injuries varied in intensity. First it started with an intense reddishness in the hit area, known as hiperemia. Later, the skin of the affected region started to fall (alopecia) and days later the skin peeled off.

In this period of development, said Wellaide, it was possible to note holes, similar to perforations by needles.

One of the most interesting cases she took care of happened with a lady who had cardiac problems. She arrived at the doctor's office very nervous and immediately she showed her left breast, in which were two strange holes.

She complained of giddiness, shortness of breath, and weakness - characteristic symptoms already known by people hit by the phenomenon. The doctor tried to calm her and she returned to her home.

But at about 03:00 pm, however, Dr. Wellaide was called to the residence of the woman, who had become very sick. Her whole body was still, and she gasped for air, but she did not have fever and did not vomit.

Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the doctor took her to a hospital in Belém.

Hours later, she received the medical papers and the certificate of death forwarded by the Medical Institute Legal Renato Chaves, which stated a heart stroke as cause of the death.

The intriguing fact is that at no time, doctors in Belém had mentioned something about the injuries on her body and did not even say if they had effected backing examinations.

Regarding the possible effects of the UFOs on the supply of electricity, Sr. Geraldo Aranha de Oliveira (aged 37) of the C.E.I.P.A. (Pará Electricity Plant) explained:

"In 1977 the C.E.I.P.A. sub-station consisted of three Scania 125 kw engines supplying light to the city from 6 pm till midnight. I don’t recall having ever seeing a UFO over the plant. I merely remember that, at that period, lots of lightning conductor rods were burnt out and, at times, some fuses too."

COMAR (Comando Aéreo Regional, the Regional Air Command of the Brazilian Air Forces), arrived in Belém, and made a series of researches in the region, under the project name "Operation Plate." (Operation Saucer)

Captain Uyrangê Bolivar Soares Nogueira de Hollanda Lima, head of information office, directed all the operations in the region. During the investigations, the Air Force obtained four films and hundreds of photographs of flying disks in the basin of Marajó.

They also were a great help to the population, providing psychologists assistance, to eliminate the panic that sized the entire region.

The beams of light from the craft were described as being so bright that they resembled those used to illuminate night sporting events. They were "always sharply defined, directed with perfect precision towards any target – houses, people, boats, trees, even the Brazilian Air Force's helicopters deployed over the island during the investigations."

On one occasion, one of these powerful beams is reported to have forced one of the helicopters to land, although the exact technical reason is not given. (Giese, 1996)

According to a statement by Sr. Sebastião V. Miranda, former resident of Colares, "the Brazilian Air Force spent more than 35 days in the town, and installed various devices near the Bacurí beach."

Sra. Alba Câmara Vilhena, a married lady living at 683 rua 15 de Novembro, added: "At the time of the "Chupa-chupa" everybody was scared to sleep at night, and so almost every night we went away to be with relatives. On one occasion some people saw one of the craft. It was round, and all luminous.

"Just at that moment, a helicopter of the F.A.B. (Brazilian Air Force) was flying quite near to our house. Then we saw the UFO direct a very powerful beam on to the helicopter, obliging it to land on the São Pedro Airfield. That happened at about 8.00 pm one evening."

Professor Raimundo Sebastião Aranha said: "At that period I was closely connected with some of the Air Force's enquiries. They were seeking more information about the "Chupa-chupa."

He said the Air Force had with them masses of equipment: cars, helicopters, radio transmitters, cameras, powerful glasses, etc. He recalls that, in addition to the rank and file Air Force recruits, there was a whole group of officers, and he had the impression that there was a foreigner among them.

"The helicopters that appeared from time to time, bringing materials and personnel, attempted to chase the UFOs but without much success. Indeed, on the contrary, it was the UFOs that chased them!"

One night several months later, on May 24 1978, a journalist and photographer, who had been sent to cover the local UFO encounters, were in their car when despite the heavy rain they were woken up "by a powerful beam of light which – however unbelievable, it may seem – passed through the metallic structure of the roof of the vehicle."

Not surprisingly they leapt out of the car to see that "a tube-shaped light beam, about [twenty-five centimetres] in diameter, was coming down from above onto the roof of the car and passing through the metal panelling."

On this and other occasions, they managed to take numerous photographs which they claim that their newspaper later sold to "a North-American group."

On another night while trying to use flash equipment to photograph one of these craft "the UFO emitted such a vivid beam of light that it smashed the windscreen" of their car. (Giese, 1996)

Several newspapers started to write that the alleged UFOs were weather balloons, or secrets satellites, although there was no possible reason to think that. Local authorities were of course extremely angry because of such articles. Elói Santos, councilman of the old Enclosure for bullfighting stated:

"It is not possible to deny that Belém is, today, a frightened city. We are not technicians, and we do not argue with the conclusion of the authorities. But we did surprise them with declarations of the witnesses who saw light crossing their roofs to penetrate in their skin, removing a little of blood and leaving visible marks of needles and burnings on their epidermis."

During the "Chupa-chupa" wave, many new "sighting zones" emerged, such as

Pinheiro and São Bento in the State of Maranhão, andViseu and Bragança in the State of Pará. Some areas indeed reached such a 'level of saturation' that rarely a single night passed without UFO sightings.

One of these "ufological epicentres" was over the bay called the Baía do Sol (Bay of the Sun) and had a direct effect upon the Island of Mosqueiro. Mosqueiro is one of the most important of the islands, and it is the biggest, belonging to the municipality of Belém.

Public concern was immense, all the men banding together at night to organize watches, with bonfires and fireworks, thinking these would deter the craft. But nothing seemed to stop the UFOs, not even the Air Force’s film men and their cameras - and even less the journalists from the Estado do Pará!

There were frequent and regular sightings of mother-ships, probes, and flying saucers, all performing incredible manoeuvers over the Bay.

A 61-year-old widow, Elisa da Silva, residing on rua do Bacari, was one of the witnesses in that year (1977). One night, from her house, she saw a flying saucer appear. Vivid white light came from small windows or apertures on it. Seen from below, she said, it seemed quite dark and quite flat. It vanished towards the South, in total silence.

In the opinion of some of the members of the GUA (Amazonian Ufological Group) based in Belém, there exists, or there did exist for a considerable time, at some point beneath the Baía do Sol ("Bay of the Sun") a concealed base for extraterrestrial probe craft. Such an idea would account for the constant appearances, in recent years, of unidentified flying objects over the region.

In 1981, one woman who had been exposed to the UFO beams in Colares died, although it is not clear that her death was clearly related to the attack.

In 1986, not far from Colares, two persons on Crab Island were discovered "badly decomposed by heat" amid numerous sightings of balls of fire in the sky; cause of death "not known" in either case.

Same area, different time: a "ball of fire" seriously burned three men out cutting wood on Crab Island; one of the woodchoppers died.

One of the two survivors, Edmundo, had a gaping electrical-type burn injury on the side of his chest, an almost perfect replica of the chest burn suffered by Jack Angel in Georgia in 1974.

In 1993, again in Colares, a 32-year-old missionary and a 40-year-old domestic worker died, a month apart, as a result of close encounters with UFO; according to Ufologist Bob Pratt, these women were "both burned on the throat and the chest, as were most of the other people the doctor treated."

Said Pratt: "I know of about ten deaths that have some connection with UFO close encounters."

According to the USAF, there is not one proof of the reality of UFOs, and there is no evidence that they can be a danger. According to the skeptics... According to the skeptics? To tell the truth, skeptics never express anything in such cases. And the majority of the general public does not know about such cases.
