UFO sightings have been reported from various corners of the world in 2014. Though the subject remains debatable, reports keep coming in of spotting of unidentified flying objects.

Sky-gazers spot UFOs at regular intervals and post pictures and videos on social networking sights.

IB Times UK has compiled a list of top 5 UFO sightings that occurred in 2014.

The picture was posted by a Google Earth user from Newfoundland who reportedly spotted a UFO along with an alien over the sky of Trout Creek, Montana.

Scott Waring, who tracks UFO activities, examined the picture and comes to the conclusion that, "there is an alien head sticking out from the UFO".

2. Huge mystery crater found in Siberia's 'End of the World'

An enormous mysterious crater was discovered in northern Siberia also dubbed as "the End of the World".

The incident left scientists around the world baffled as the source of the hole remained unknown sparking UFO rumours.

Tom Cruise fans went on to compare the mysterious hole with that in his movie, War of the Worlds, in which aliens enter the Earth's surface by making holes and later attack humanity.

3. Oval-shaped UFO spotted hovering over Houston sky during rain storm

Houston was popularly named UFO city after an oval-shaped UFO  appeared to be protruding from thunder clouds.

Images of the dramatic UFO sighting went viral on social media showing a circular object with blinking lights floating over the Houston sky during a rain storm.

The picture is touted as one of the clearest of a UFO flying over Earth.

4. UFO sighting on Apollo 15

A recent report claimed that a suspected UFO was hovering over the lunar horizon and was perhaps spying on the 1971 Apollo 15 mission conducted by Nasa.

Streetcap1 reported the discovery via a YouTube video and explained the findings: "Dudes, I just upload what I find, I believe it's put there to be found. Remember a ufo is an unidentified flying object not an alien craft."

A man from Milan, Italy, claimed to have spotted a huge UFO and that he caught the entire extraterrestrial action on his camera.

The video went viral on YouTube and visitors to the video were amazed to see strange lights. Some, however, suspected it to be some sort of technical job to create the impression of a UFO.

Retired Chilean General Discusses His Encounter With A Giant Ufo

RETIRED CHILEAN GENERAL DISCUSSES HIS ENCOUNTER WITH A GIANT UFO
SANTIAGO DE CHILE.-

In an interview with Terra.cl., retired general Hernan Gabrielli Rojas mentioned that he had squared off against a gigantic UFO while engaging in a training flight in the skies of northern Chile.  According to the military man, the object was the size of 10 or 15 aircraft carriers, and its presence was picked up by the radars aboard two F-5 jet fighters as well as the Cerro Moreno airport in Antofagasta. 

    – What do you remember about your contact with the UFO?     Over 20 years have gone by (this was in 1978). I was a captain and was flying a mission with two F-5 fighters. It was noon and I was flying with captain Danilo Catalán – we were both flight instructors. Accompanying us was Fernando Gomez, an avionics tech, and another trainee. The F-5 is radar-equipped, and a line appeared from side to side – in other words, a trace throughout the bottom side of the screen. A trace for a surface ship, a cruiser, is approximately one centimeter long, but this line went from one side [of the screen] to another. I assumed the radar scope had failed, and told Danilo Catalán, but his radar also “failed”. I then advised the ground radar at Antofagasta and they also picked up the line. We were engaged with these details when we looked toward the east: we were flying from north to south in the vicinity of Mejillones, and saw a deformed cigar-shaped object. Deformed, like a plaintain banana. It was swathed in smoke.  

     – What was the object’s size?     It was large and must have been some 15 to 20 miles away. It moved in the same direction as us. We had no missiles, guns or anything. As you can imagine, the fright was more or less considerable. We could see a large thing surrounded in smoke, and from which a vapor issued. All of this situation must have lasted some five minues. We approached the UFO but it was motionless. It neither approached nor retreated – it merely sailed parallel to us. It was quite impressive, because it was truly something strange, and something could be seen in concealment behind the smoke.  

     – What happened later?    The object then disappeared toward Easter Island at an impressive rate of speed. The sky cleared and the lines on the radar vanished. However, there had been an object physically flying there. It’s not a yarn, let me tell you. It’s my only experience with UFOs.

An aurora is a natural light display in the sky predominantly seen in the high latitude of the Artic and Antartic regions.

Mysterious Ufo Craft Witnessed From A Commercial Flight

MYSTERIOUS UFO CRAFT WITNESSED FROM A COMMERCIAL FLIGHT
 NOVEMBER 14, 1997   ……..      FLIGHT FROM SEATTLE TO DALLAS TEXAS

 I am writing you because of something I saw (along with a friend) while flying into Dallas Friday evening. The more I have thought about this the more I knew I should write down what I saw.  I was flying from Seattle to Dallas on Flight 18 Friday Nov. 14th. At about 6:35-6:45 P.M. Dallas time, about a half hour out of Dallas/Ft Worth we were high above thick cloud cover. There was a full moon out and the clarity above the clouds was good. As we looked out ahead and to the east (port side of the aircraft), I noticed few lights out ahead of us. I presumed they were other aircraft coming right at us since the lights did not blink like wing lights but as the head lights do at times. There were two such lights and they looked far off but being at night it was hard to tell just how far. I watched for a long time watching other aircraft with blinking strobe lights passing in various directions. these lights (the identifiable aircraft with blinkers) were much smaller in size to the constant lights. What started to seem strange was the fact that the original two lights which were constant began to appear to be closer the nearer we flew, not farther apart as it should be is we were approaching them. Also what seemed strange was the fact that at no point did there appear any other lights such as a green (starboard) or red (port) lights with these two constant lights. I watched intently as I saw a normally lit and identifiable aircraft fly perpendicular to the main light on my left that I had been watching. The identifiable aircraft approached extremely close and behind this light. The light was not a distant star or light on a hill or a beacon as my mind raced to start to explain what I was seeing.  The time span now is maybe 15 full minutes of watching these lights. We were approaching these lights which was apparent since the lights were now directly to the port side of the aircraft and no longer in front of us. As we continued on, and our approach to Dallas caused as to slightly alter our approach, these lights became directly to port from us and even closer and seemed to rise higher above the cloud layer than before. I had mentioned the lights to my companion several times since I first spotted them when I had described them first as two aircraft with their  headlights on. At this point I saw a third light low in the cloud cover below these two lights. This third light was hazy as if slightly in the clouds and also seemed larger and closer to us. It had shape to it, almost like it was like a soft cube shape (a cube with rounded corners and puffed up sides. It was not just light). I was seriously questioning that these lights were anything I had seen before. I had made several comments to my friend trying to explain what I was seeing since I knew they were not aircraft like “these have to be beacon lights” or “maybe theyare power lines” always to be followed by, “but we are too high for that”.
 
I said to my companion that she should look at the lights. Right about then, I leaned back as we passed the lights. My companion leaned over me and looked now back slightly aft and to port through the windows and said to me “You mean those lights that look like a triangle?”. I looked out the window again and now saw that indeed there was three distinct lights, not blinking above the cloud cover in a triangle formation. The third light had indeed come out and was well above the clouds.  As we continued to move towards Dallas and begin our decent, the lights remained in a triangle formation even though we continued make a left turn towards the Dallas/Ft Worth airport. In other words, even thought they were in a triangular formation while we looked at them to port, they remained in a triangular formation as we viewed them to aft.  Within a few minutes we were descending into the clouds and I lost sight of the lights.  I have thought a lot about what I saw and discussed it with my companion who also saw them. These were stationary lights at our altitude during normal flight approach about 35-45 mins out of Dallas or slightly higher (with the exception to the third light) which would put them at  least 25-35K feet. The lights were stationary since while we approached they were in front, as we continued they were to the port and then aft of us as we passed. There were initially two constant lights very far apart when first viewed and only slightly brighter and very much closer to each other 30 minutes later when joined by the third light from the clouds. the lights did not seem to move but were stationary though they must have moved since they were closer to each other after viewing them for 30 minutes than at first.  I am a 42 yr old businessman in Seattle (your town). I work as a real estate broker. I was a concert promoter for many many years and have flown hundreds of thousands of miles. I have a good grasp of astronomy and can identify the moons of Jupiter with my binoculars and Venus along with my favorite constellations. I grew up with a pilot as my best friend and have logged hundreds of right seat flying in small aircraft so I have an appreciation for what aircraft look like at night and during the day.   Though I do listen to Art Bell and have read many books on Roswell and a few about other UFO’s, I am not a “believer”. I am a curious observer. With thousand’s  of hours of staring at the skies, of flying all over this country many times over during night and day, I have never seen anything that wasn’t identifiable, at least after 5-10 minutes of viewing. These objects were viewed by me for nearly 45 minutes non-stop and I have no explanation that meets any test I put to it. I have replayed the tape in my head over and over. I keep seeing the aircraft passing behind the main left light. I keep seeing the two lights far apart and them seeing the triangle shape after the appearance of the third. I see the third boxy light shrouded ion the clouds then see it clearly in view above the clouds. These objects had to be moving, but in such a way that they seemed stationary. There were no additional lights associated with these white lights. there were no strobes with these lights. While other aircraft came and went from Dallas and appeared across the sky, these lights seemed to sit still.  I had to finally admit I saw something strange and unexplainable with my resources. I guess in a way, I wanted to live in denial that I saw anything weird at all, but in the end, had to write this down and send it off as a statement of my very best recollection of what I saw.

It’s Clear That They’re Here – But Who & Why? From Where & How?

If one chooses to dive into the topic of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and the extraterrestrial hypothesis, they would no doubt be overwhelmed by all of the credible evidence that’s now available in the public domain pointing to the fact that; not only are we not alone, but planet Earth has been visited and is being visited by intelligently controlled extraterrestrial spacecraft.

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs)

Reports of strange and unexplained objects in our atmosphere go back for centuries. In modern history, the topic began attracting some serious attention when mass UFO sightings were occurring in the 1940’s and 50’s. The rate of incidents were so high that they could not be concealed, and President Truman was forced to make a statement about them on national television. He stated that the topic of UFOs is discussed at every conference that the administration has had with the military. He said that there are always things like that going on. (source)

“At this time, the reports of incidents convince us that there is something going on which must have immediate attention. Sightings of unexplained objects at great altitudes and traveling at high speeds in the vicinity of major US defense installations are of such nature that they are not attributable to natural phenomena or known types of aerial vehicles.” – Memorandum for Director of Central Intelligence. UFOs have been well documented since the large wave of sightings began in the 1940’s, a wave that continues all the way up to the present day. With the recent release of previously classified documents, they’ve left the realm of conspiracy theory and have been verified as real phenomenon.

“Behind the scenes, high ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense.” – Former head of CIA, Roscoe Hillenkoetter, 1960 (source)

These objects are constantly tracked on radar and visually confirmed, one great example out of hundreds of similar incidents from the past is illustrated by a declassified four page U.S Defence Intelligence Agency report describing a particular encounter in great detail.

“As the F-4 approached a range of 25 nautical miles it lost all instrumentation and communications. When the F-4 turned away from the object and apparently was no longer a threat to it, the aircraft regained all instrumentation and communications. Another brightly lighted object came out of the original object. The second object headed straight toward the F4 at a very fast rate of speed. The pilot attempted to fire an AIM-9 missile at the object but at that instant his weapons control panel went off and he lost all communications.” (1)(2)

The Extraterrestrial Hypothesis

“There is a serious possibility that we are being visited and have been visited for many years by people from outer space, by other civilizations. Who they are, where they are from, and what they want should be the subject of rigorous scientific investigation and not be the subject of ‘rubishing’ by tabloid newspapers.” (source) – Lord Admiral Hill-Norton, Former Chief of Defence Staff, 5 Star Admiral of the Royal Navy, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee

The extraterrestrial hypothesis is just that, the belief that these UFOs are intelligently controlled extraterrestrial spacecraft. The extraterrestrial hypothesis has actually dominated most thinking on flying saucers and UFOs during the 1950’s and 1960’s at all levels of government.

“Today we cannot produce machines that fly the same as UFOs do. They are flying by means of artificial fields of gravity. (I’d like to mention that there is a video of Dr. Brian O’leary, NASA astronaut and Princeton physics professor alluding to this same idea, you can view it here) We cannot take credit for our record advancement in certain scientific fields alone, we have been helped by people from other worlds.” – 1954, Professor Herman Oberth, NASA Space Scientist, one of the founding fathers of rocketry and aeronautics. “My own present opinion, based on two years of careful study, is that UFOs are probably extraterrestrial devices engaged in something that might very tentatively be termed surveillance. It’s not just statements like these (above) that lend more plausibility to the extraterrestrial hypothesis. It’s thousands of pages of documents released by dozens of governments that document people’s supposed encounters with UFOs and various types of extraterrestrial beings. These documents show that governments have been investigating this topic for decades, as well as the people who have claimed to have contact with other worldly beings. For example, HERE are some documents that were released by the UK government in June 2013 that detail just that. (4)

There are also various statements from hundreds of high level political and military personnel who believe that these objects are extraterrestrial in origin. You can read more about that here.

Who And Why?

If intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations are visiting our planet and interacting with some of the population, and possibly a “shadow government,” then anybody claiming to know who they are with one hundred percent certainty is probably lying, or should at least be met with a great deal of skepticism.

That does not mean that we cannot ask this question, examine it further and dive into greater depths regarding the strangeness that surrounds this subject.

A large number of individuals have reported coming into contact with benevolent humanoid extraterrestrials. Some of them whom look almost exactly like us. Others have reported the typical ‘grey’ alien, from tall to short. Others have reported reptilian type beings and various versions of humanoid beings who resemble us to some extent. The list is fairly large, but it seems many do believe that there are several types of races who are of “service to others,” as well as some who are simply “service to self.”

Some have reported beings who care for our planet that want to see us turn things around. That we are headed in a direction which is leading us to a place where we don’t want to go. Apparently, groups have expressed a great deal of disappointment with regards to the way we treat our planet and each other. There are reports of beings interacting with the government as well as others choosing not to interact with them. The list goes on and on. Some might just be observing us, studying us and other life on the planet, who knows?

UFOs tampering with, and possibly shutting down our nuclear weapons over many decades has lead many to believe some groups are telling us to get rid of them. You can read more about that here.

Other cases are abduction claims, far different from simple contact claims. These range from individuals who claim that they were abducted against their will, experimented on, used in an alien/human hybridization program where their sexual organs were used. Some have claimed to have been shown their hybrid child years after the experience. Some of these individuals have had terrifying abduction experiences, others have felt they were being used as a part of something that was nothing to fear. Regardless, it is quite strange and again, the number of accounts and the similarities between the stories are remarkable. This is a very diverse question and full of lots of information. It would require decades of study. This is just a brief description of what various people have claimed to have experienced. I’d also like to mention that intelligence agencies/governments have had a history of investigating cases, which include investigating people who have claimed to have, or have had real legitimate experiences. For decades, it seems these agencies have been trying to answer the same questions that have been brought up in this article, I wonder what they’ve found out.

From Where?

Individuals have claimed that beings come from various places throughout the cosmos. For example, Former Canadian Defense Minisiter Paul Hellyer said that:

“At least 4 known alien species have been visiting Earth for thousands of years. Many are benign and benevolent, and a few are not. They come from various places, for a long while I only knew about ones that came from different star systems, the Pleadies. There are extraterrestrials that come from Andromeda, and ones that live on one of Saturn’s moon’s.” (source)

Others have reported beings that come from the Orion constellation, from the Sirius star cluster and various other places.

How?

One of the most common arguments when it comes to intelligent extraterrestrial vehicles visiting our planet is that it is impossible. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. We still have much to discover, and an intelligent race that could possibly be millions of years ahead of us technologically might have already figured out how to travel long distances in a very short period of time.

“There is another way whether it’s wormholes or warping space, there’s got to be a way to generate energy so that you can pull it out of the vacuum, and the fact that they’re here shows us that they found a way.” (source) - Jack Kasher, Ph.D, Professor Emeritus of Physics, University of Nebraska.

At our current level of technological advancement, traveling vast distances in shorter time spans has been pondered. Reality today seems to be far more complex than it used to be, especially with all of the groundbreaking discoveries of quantum physics. One of them is the fact that space is just the construct that gives the illusion of separate objects. Quantum entanglement also supports this idea, this could possibly be one explanation of how UFOs could travel thousands/millions of light years in a very short period of time. Could they bend space, take shortcuts (wormholes) and more?

There is also what’s known as the Alcubierre drive. To travel faster or at the speed of light we might not need a craft that can travel at that speed. The solution might be to place a craft within a space that is moving faster than the speed of light! Therefore the craft itself does not have to travel at the speed of light from it’s own type of propulsion system. (5) You can read more about the Alcubierre drive here.

Kurt Godel was the first person to find a solution to Einstein’s equations that allowed for time travel. Since then:

“Physicists and mathematicians have discovered hundreds of other types of solutions of Einstein’s equations which allow for time travel. There are no laws of physics that prevent time travel.” – Michio Kaku, theoretical physicist. (source)

Einstein also suggested that space time twists, changes and distorts. There are also several other considerations like stargates, multiple universes, multiple dimensions, string theory, super string theory and more that could provide even more theoretical explanations.

It’s also important to remember that with space, time is not what our brains and our common sense tell us.

The list goes on and on and these are all questions that can be expanded on and discussed provided numerous sources and references, but that would require hundreds of pages.

De Maan is niet de Maan die wij denken dat ‘ie is.. Om maar meteen met de deur in huis te vallen… Velen geloven dat de Maan, onze Maan, een natuurlijke satelliet is, die rondom de Aarde zweeft. Maar wetenschappelijk gezien alleen al, zijn er zóveel vraagtekens bij het fenomeen ‘natuurlijke Maan’ te zetten, dat er maar één conclusie overblijft: de Maan, deze Maan is dus NIET NATUURLIJK..!

Gezien de enorme aantrekkingskracht van onze zon, is het op zich al een wonder dat onze Maan niet weggetrokken wordt uit haar baan om de Aarde. De Maan staat op een dusdanig perfecte plek, dat het welhaast onmogelijk is, dat deze positie ‘toevallig’ tot stand is gekomen. En met deze, en andere wetenschappelijk getoetste ‘toevalligheden’, kom je op een heel bizarre conclusie uit. Onvermijdelijk ook. De Maan is kunstmatig en daar, in de ruimte vlak nabij de Aarde, ‘neergehangen’…! Tja, de volgende vraag dient zich dan natuurlijk meteen ook aan: ‘WIE’ is in staat deze kunstmatige satelliet daar ‘neer te hangen’, als een Universele Kerstbal..?

JERUSALEM (INTELLIHUB.COM) — It looks as if Egyptologist Sir William Petrie may have recovered proof of extraterrestrial existence on earth.

Shockingly the “remarkable relics” were allegedly found in Sir William Petrie’s home after his death and were said to have been “taken by representatives of the Rockefeller Museum” soon after. However the majority of the relics are now on display at the Petrie Museum in Camden London.

Sir William Petrie is known as one of the greatest archeological discoverers of all-time and his findings may in fact link an advanced extraterrestrial civilization to ancient Egypt.

To make it all that more interesting, two mummified bodies, less than 4ft. in height, possibly alien in nature, were found fairly well-preserved. The skeletons have “elongated heads, “large eye sockets, and long spinally arms” according to a report posted on YouTube.

According to the report, some type of “alien device” was also found with the bodies. The device looks advanced, mechanical in nature, shaped like a disc, and is mostly made of “gold”. It also has a “transparent top”.

“Contained inside is an intricate mechanism which is surrounded by gold spiral tubing that has several small gold orbs and crosses attached to it.”

There are also non-Egyptian symbols on the outer edge.

Other relics found by Petrie include stone tablets that appear to show alien spacecraft.

It is unknown why Petrie didn’t release his findings to the “general public” before his death in 1942.

These artifacts are said to have been found within the “Giza complex”.

Stunning pictures captured of the most recent appearance of the Northern Lights, not only delivers a beautiful aurora display but also an unknown cigar-shaped object flying in the aurora borealis.

An aurora is a natural light display in the sky predominantly seen in the high latitude of the Artic and Antartic regions.

The effect is known as the aurora borealis or the northern lights, named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for the north wind, Boreas, by Galileo in 1619.

Is Mount St. Helens a Supervolcano?

Is Mount St. Helens a Supervolcano? According to findings from New Zealand scientists, Mt. St. Helens could be exactly that. Mt. St. Helens has been known for years as one of many volcanoes that litter Washington State and the "ring of fire" that works its way around the Pacific Ocean.

It's an interesting notion that has been presented by these scientists, which includes the theory that several of the largest volcanoes in the area are actually linked by underground caverns. What that could mean is that they all work together to form one large Supervolcano, and that Mt. St. Helens could be at the center of it all.

The thought process behind the article that these New Zealand scientists published in NewScientist, is that three of the major volcanoes in the area are linked by a deep column that leads to a pool of what could be molten rock. That pool of molten rock is theorized to connect Mount St. Helens to Mount Rainier and Mount Adams as well. That would make it one of the largest Supervolvanoes in existence, and hold the potential of a cataclysmic eruption that could be devastating. Such an eruption would be able to blanket the sky with ash and basically lower the temperature of the entire planet over a certain span of time.

So, is this a real thing? Could Mount St. Helens really be a Supervolcano? Well local scientists in Washington State aren't quite as certain as the visiting New Zealand scientists. A magnetotellurics specialist at Oregon State University stated that "Whether finding high conductivity in this area is evidence that there's really something unusual here is the thing that is more questionable." He also stated that part of the conductivity that the New Zealand scientists are seeing within the mountain is probably just water. He doesn't come out and simply refute what the New Zealanders found, but he does question how close to reality their theories could be.

Mount St. Helens has been seeing activity on and off for the past couple of years, and everyone in the area still remembers when Mount St. Helens erupted back in 1980. If what the New Zealand scientists have found turns out to be fact, a Supervolcano eruption could be many times more powerful than the last one. Most of these findings (by both sides) are really just conjecture though, because not a whole lot is known about what is under these particular volcanoes. They could all be linked, or they could all be working separately, but there isn't a concrete test with which to prove that. Elven-Like Aliens

Salina, KS: This sighting took place in late August 2004 just after 6:00am. I always rode my mountain bike to for exercise, that day was no different, about 30 seconds after turning onto the last section of residential street of my route "someone" ran into the street about 25-30 feet in front of me, the entity was in a full sprint as if it's life depended on it, like something was chasing it, it came from the yard on the East side of the street, crossed the street in full sprint and entered the yard on the West side, the sighting lasted about 5 seconds, this entity was bi-pedal and about 1-1.5 feet tall wearing an earthy greenish brown hooded cloak, the only features visible were the ankle and feet, both clad in the same greenish brown color, once it entered the grass it visibly disappeared as if the cloak color shifted to match the grass, my first thought was "gnome"!?!, rational thinking told me gnomes don't exist, I was confused, but never told anyone of the sighting, cause I would just face harassment or ridicule, to this day I've never told anyone about it. I didn't report it sooner cause I only found out about MUFON three months ago, from time to time I would have flashbacks about the sighting, but for the most part I forgot about it, then last week on Youtube there was video in my "What to watch" list titled Alien Races: A-Z, so I watched it, then the second part listed a race named "Lang", it pictured two point eared human like entities, instantly I had a flashback of the encounter and said out loud "That's it! that's what I saw!", so I looked around the internet for "Alien race lang" and apparently Lang are source of Elven folklore, said to be about 70 centimeters tall (about 2 feet). - MUFON CMS

Burned in Bed, Other Anomalies

Sprague River, OR - 10/22/2014: This report is really a combination of three events that were close together. Before 10/20 again when these things happen I couldn't sleep. I went outside and took a picture and this naked thing that was on the side of the house at about the same place where I found a footprint in case #54367. The image in the picture was almost naked except for what looked like a head scarf and had thick lips and a very crooked nose.

I was sleeping on the night of 10/21/14 and awoke on 10/22 with burns on both arms from my middle knuckles to about 3” below my elbows. The burns were on top of my hands and on top of my forearms. I did nothing the day before that would have caused this. It hurt pretty bad.

On Sunday 11/09 at 10:05 I was in bed and hadn’t quite gone to sleep yet when I heard my name called.

11/12 The cuckoo clock by our bedroom door and a battery operated clock in the guest room quit operating at the same time 9:05 P.M.

This past Sunday 11/16 {name deleted. trb] (my husband) couldn’t sleep. He said have you heard the noises in the house. I told him that I don’t pay attention any to them any more. The house makes a hell of a racket. The kitties are on the bed and we can see them stare at particular areas. They are scared stiff. There is banging, and crashing, as if something is jumping off a table or countertop. I said to [name deleted; trb] “and it is only at night”. He said “yes” then he checked himself and said “when you’re gone it has happened too”. He said that “there have been loud booms it’s as if the house is sliding off its foundation. I can’t tell where it’s coming from.” It’s like something is tearing the whole place apart.” I hate to be up especially at midnight to 1:00 A.M. but then again it can happen all the way until a little after 4:00 A.M. The rocking chair carries on with various noises. I purchased it in a 2nd hand store. I can hear a banging on my jewelry box, etc. This doesn’t happen all of the time though.

Plausible UFO Observation

In the history of ufology, there are a number of reports that make the existence of non-terrestrial visitations seem plausible. Some of them are so well-documented and inexplicable that they might just have been genuine UFO sightings. I have included a few cases in which I believe that an actual UFO was observed and/or interacted with the witnesses. There are other scenarios for possible alien contact and abduction...I'll save those for later:

The Cash-Landrum UFO Incident

On December 29, 1980, a terrifying encounter with a flame belching UFO on a lonely road near Huffman, Texas, resulted in appalling injuries for the three innocent victims. According to MUFON investigator Bob Pratt, "the case remains one of the most important in the history of ufology. It has never been resolved. The Trans-en-Provence, France UFO Incident

On the afternoon of January 8, 1981, a strange craft landed on a farm near the village of Trans-en-Provence in the Var region in southeastern France. Physical traces left on the ground were collected by the Gendarmerie within 24 hours and later analyzed in several French government laboratories. Extensive evidence of anomalous activity was detected.

The witness was the farmer Renato Nicolai, 55, on whose property the UFO landed and then took-off almost immediately. Thinking that it was a military experimental device, Nicolai notified the local gendarmes on the following day. The case was investigated by the Groupe d'Etudes des Phénomènes Aérospatiaux Non-identifiés (GEPAN), or Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena Study Group, established in 1977 within the National Center for Space Studies (CNES) in Toulouse, the French counterpart of NASA. (The functions of GEPAN were reorganized in 1988 into the Service d'Expertise des Phénomènes de Rentrées Atmosphériques or SEPRA). The primary investigator was Jean-Jacques Velasco.

The 1966 Ohio - Pennsylvania UFO Police Chase

One of the most dramatic encounters by police officers with an apparently structured, low-level UFO occurred in the early morning of April 17, 1966. Officers of the Portage County, Ohio, Sheriff's Department first saw the object rise up from near ground level, bathing them in light, near Ravenna, Ohio, about 5:00 A.M. Ordered by the sergeant to pursue the object, they chased it for eighty-five miles across the border into Pennsylvania, as it seemed to play a cat-and-mouse game with them. Along the route, police officers from other jurisdictions saw the object and joined in the chase.

The Day the Earth Stood Still in Clayton South

Over 200 students and teachers witnessed an unexplained flying object on Wednesday 6th April 1966 around 11.00 am. They reported it descended into a nearby open wild grass field adjacent to a grove of pine trees in an area known as The Grange. The object then ascended in a north-westerly direction over the suburb of Clayton South.

Around about 200 people, most of them students at what was then called Westall High School, were out for morning recess. Many saw the strange object descend behind pine trees in The Grange Reserve, and then later ascend and fly away at great speed. The people who ran over to the reserve found a huge ring in the paddock where the object had been seen. Some people reported five light aircraft following or chasing the object.

Today I filmed a strange video at 5:30 am this Monday, 12.23.2014 at about 25 km from Toulouse above the town of Auriac vendinelle. While I was not sleeping I saw a bright light in the sky that caught my attention. More violent than car headlights at night I could not look away this strange ball of light. I could see the other stars because the conditions were clear, but the light shone much more than the other stars and was much closer to me. I could estimate the distance. I pulled out my camera to film this and thus hope to learn more. I also specifies that there was no obstacle, tree or other between me and this ball of light, so I can not explain these particular shades that you can see on the video. The noise you hear at the beginning is the zoom on my camera as this phenomenon was silent. Not very reassured I went to go see a half hour after that was said light.

New Method for Finding Habitable Planets in Binary Star Systems

UT Arlington astrophysicist offers new method for finding regions favorable for life in stellar binary systems.

Research by a University of Texas at Arlington astrophysicist sheds greater light on S-type and P-type binary stars and forms the basis for BinHab, a new online tool that can be used to calculate the regions of binary systems favorable for life, commonly known as habitable zones.

In P-type systems the planet orbits both binary stars. In S-type systems, the planet orbits only one of the stellar components with the second component left to agitate the setting of the planet.

Astrophysicists have been tackling the problem of identifying habitable zones for many years. However, the method developed by UT Arlington Physics Professor Manfred Cuntz provides a comprehensive mathematical approach for both types of habitability.

"The challenge is to properly consider two separate criteria consisting in the amounts of stellar radiation, which provides a favorable planetary climate for life, and the gravitational influence of both stars on an existing planet," Cuntz said.

Cuntz presents his work in a paper to be published in January 2015 in the Astrophysical Journal, a lead publication in this field of study. The paper is available online here. The first paper in the series was published in the journal in Jan. 2014 and is available here. Some of his results will also be presented at the 225th Meeting of the American Astronomical Society in January in Seattle.

Cuntz's research is based on a pure theoretical approach but it is directly relevant to the interpretation of observational data, including those by NASA's Kepler mission. Previous work at UT Arlington includes studies of Kepler-16, a binary system discovered in 2011, which is known to host a Saturn-type planet in a P-type system, implying that it orbits both stellar components, Cuntz said. Billy Quarles, a former UT Arlington graduate student, currently working at NASA's Ames Research Center, led that work.

James Grover, interim dean of the UT Arlington College of Science, said this latest work holds enormous potential for those who study space in the search for life.

"Dr. Cuntz's work holds a wide range of applications, including the assessments of observational data for extrasolar planets," Grover said. "Additionally, the work has ramifications toward the field of astrobiology. UT Arlington students and the astrophysics and astrobiology community at large will benefit from the work and new BinHab tool."

BinHab is explained in part in a paper that Cuntz presented last summer at the 18th Cambridge Workshop on "Cool Stars, Stellar Systems, and the Sun." The Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Ariz. hosted that meeting.

Robert Bruntz, a postdoctoral researcher at UT Arlington and member of the University's Space Science Group, has pursued the implementation of BinHab, which is currently updated to consider detailed planetary climate models. The confinement will make BinHab even more valuable, Cuntz said.

Zhaopeng Wang, a doctoral student at UT Arlington, is pursuing future research on this project.

Moederschip veroorzaakt explosie op de zon.

Het afgelopen jaar zijn er talloze malen grote moederschepen waargenomen bij en rond de zon, die duidelijk een funktie voor ze heeft.

Ook op Kerstavond was een vertrekkende UFO waar te nemen ter grootte van de maan die een explosie veroorzaakte op het zonne-oppervlak.

Waar het op lijkt, is dat ze de zon gebruiken als een soort tankstation voor het opladen van energie.

Misschien komen ze even uit de dimensie waar ze normaal vertoeven om op te laden bij de zon, om even daarna weer te verdwijnen naar waar ze vandaan kwamen. Op het moment dat ze voor ons zichtbaar zijn, bevinden ze zich wel in onze dimensie waardoor ze moeten beschikken over een geweldig beschermingsmechanisme tegen de uitzonderlijk hoge temperaturen (ongeveer 6.000 graden Celsius) op de zon.

Op kerstavond was er dusv weer zo'n groot vertrekkend moederschip waar te nemen bij de zon.

Hier volgen enkele beelden waarop dit duidelijk te zien is. Je ziet dat terwijl het schip al een eind verwijderd is er nog steeds een soort energiebanen richting zon lopen.

Op de plek waar vandaan het schip vertrokken is, zie je duidelijk de sporen van een explosie.

Ook deze UFO is weer niet klein. Volgens ufoloog Scott C. Waring heeft dit moederschip ongeveer de afmeting van de maan.

UFO Monitors Apollo 15 Mission

YouTube user Streetcap1 believes that he has found a definitive evidence that a UFO monitored Apollo 15 mission. Scanning the archive photos and footages from the mission, the UFO enthusiast discovered an image that suggested something has been watching the astronauts.

However, the YouTube user made it clear that the image is only a proof of an unidentified flying object, and not evidence of aliens.

A YouTube video was posted on December 17, 2014 and recently receives over 12,000 views. One commenter says that UFOs are not only seen around the moon, but also all over the states. The commenter suggests that more people might wake up if they would take time to watch the sky and have an open mind. However, people today seems to be blind to the truth, the commenter adds.

Huffingtonpost picks up the news and says that if Streetcap1 is correct, then the UFO could have been a fragment of dust on the lens of the camera or a developing error.

UFO mania: Enigmatic symbols and carvings in man-made cave in England confound experts

The Royston Cave is an artificial cave in Hertfordshire, England. It is not known who created the cave or what it was used for, but there has been much speculation. Some believe that it was used by the Knights Templar. Others believe it may have been an Augustinian store mine. Another theory is that it was a Neolithic flint mine. None of these theories have been substantiated, and the origin of the Royston Cave remains a mystery.

Royston cave was discovered in August 1742 in Royston. A worker was digging holes to build footing for a new bench at a market. He discovered a millstone while he was digging, and when he dug around to remove it, he found the shaft leading to the cave. When the cave was discovered, it was half-filled with dirt and rock. Efforts were made to remove the dirt and rock, which was subsequently discarded. Some believed that treasure would be found within Royston cave. However, removal of the dirt did not reveal any treasure. There were sculptures and carvings found within. It is worth noting that had the soil not been discarded, today’s technology could have allowed for a soil analysis. 

The sculptures found within are believed to be about 800 years old. It is likely that the sculptures were originally colored, although due to the passage of time only very small traces of color remain visible. The images are mostly religious, depicting St. Catherine, the Holy Family, the Crucifixion, St. Lawrence holding the gridiron on which he was martyred, and a figure holding a sword who could either be St. George, or St. Michael. Holes located beneath the sculptures appear to have held candles or lamps which would have lit the carvings and sculptures. 

One of the main theories as to the origin of Royston cave is that it was used by the Knights Templar prior to their dissolution by Pope Clement V in 1312. Some believe that the cave had been split into two levels using a wooden floor. Figures near a damaged section of the cave depict two knights riding a single horse, which may be the remains of a Templar symbol. Architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner has written that the date of the carvings "is hard to guess. They have been called Anglo-Saxon, but are more probably of various dates between the C14 and C17 (the work of unskilled men)." 

Finally, some speculate it may have been used as a Neolithic flint mine as early as 3,000 BC, where flint would have been gathered for making axes and other tools. However, the chalk in this area only provides small flint nodules, generally unsuitable for axe making, so this may cast some doubt on this theory.
To this date there remains much mystery as to who created Royston cave and for what purpose. It is always possible that whichever group originally created the cave may have abandoned it at some point, allowing it to be used by another group. The mystery surrounding the cave and the sculptures within makes the cave an interesting location for visitors who would like to speculate as to the origins of this ancient wonder. 
Royston cave has required regular maintenance and restoration, as it was discovered that insect larvae and worms were damaging the walls and structure of the cave. By August 2014, work to prevent such damage was deemed successful. Rather than using insecticides, the preservation workers removed some of the earth, thereby eliminating the worms’ food supply. Hopefully subsequent repair work to pipes to avoid flooding, and other work to prevent vibration damage from the traffic above, will help to preserve the cave into the future.

Hawaii Telescope Records A Cylindrical Object That Enters The Earth’s Atmosphere (Video)

Last week, the time lapse cloud camera of the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Observatory located atop the summit of Mauna Kea, a 4200 meter, dormant volcano located on the island of Hawaii recorded a cylindrical object that enters the Earth’s atmosphere.

It’s difficult to determine whether the object is a meteor, space junk, missile test or a craft, man-made or extraterrestrial.

The video below shows the object streaking across the skies over Hawaii.

Potential Signs of Ancient Life in Mars Rover Photos?

Old Dominion University faculty member Nora Noffke has made a name for herself as a geobiologist during the past decade by producing sedimentary evidence that prokaryote biofilms existed on Earth billions of years ago.

Now she is focusing efforts on showing that similar colonies of bacterial life may have existed on Mars at about the same time.

In an article published online this week by the journal Astrobiology - the article will appear later in the print publication - Noffke reports possible evidence of ancient microbial life in photos taken on the Red Planet by the NASA rover Curiosity.

The article, "Ancient Sedimentary Structures in the <3.7 Ga Gillespie Lake Member, Mars, that Compare in Macroscopic Morphology, Spatial Associations, and Temporal Succession with Terrestrial Microbialities," can be seen at http://online.liebertpub.com/toc/ast/0/0.

Together with a long-term collaborator, Robert M. Hazen at the Carnegie Institution in Washington, D.C., Noffke discovered MISS in the Dresser Formation, Pilbara, Western Australia. This discovery was published last year in Astrobiology.

The two scientists believe the structures could be the best and oldest evidence yet that microbes that got their energy from photosynthesis had colonized tidal pools on Earth during the early Achean period, which extends back 4 billion years. The study is based on a data set Noffke gathered in nearly 20 years of research on these microbial structures.

From field work done all over the world, Noffke has turned up geological samples supporting her case that the mats woven of tiny microbes we see today covering tidal flats and areas subject to episodic flooding were also present as life was beginning on Earth. The mats, which are colonies dominated by cyanobacteria, can cause unusual structures in the sand beneath them. Noffke has identified 17 main groups of such structures caused by present-day microbial mats, and has found corresponding structures in geological formations dating back through the ages.

Noffke noted last year that the structures found in Australia might also provide scientists with clues about geologic evidence of microbial life that exists, or might have existed, on Mars.

In this week's article in Astrobiology, Noffke writes: "Sandstone beds of the <3.7 Ga (billion year old) Gillespie Lake Member on Mars have been interpreted as evidence of an ancient playa lake environment. On Earth, such environments have been sites of colonization by microbial mats from the early Archean to the present time."

But the case she makes for life on Mars is more than circumstantial. Her 24-page article compares about a dozen photos taken by the Curiosity rover, which has been exploring the surface of Mars since it landed in 2012, with photos of MISS on Earth. The similarities are remarkable.

NASA reported recently that the giant Gale Crater explored on Mars by Curiosity may have been able to support microbial life for millions of years in the ancient past because it was once a shallow lake.

Although Mars today is much colder than Earth and seems only to have water in ice and vapor forms, scientists believe that it must have been a very different place 3.7 billion years ago - warmer, wetter and with a much thicker atmosphere. Why the climate then was more hospitable to life is puzzling, but this could have been caused by volcanoes, orbital changes or large asterorid impacts.

Whatever may have caused the life-allowing conditions, Noffke reports in Astrobiology that photographs from Curiosity clearly show sediment deposits resembling those she has found in modern evaporite (salty) settings at Portsmouth Island, N.C., and Bahar Alouane, Tunisia (Africa); in playa lake sediments cropping out of the Mediterranean coast in Tunisia; and in Archean salt deposits of the Pongola Supergroup in South Africa and the Dresser Formation in Australia.

Still, she acknowledges that any remote analysis of imagery has its drawbacks. "Without any evidence for life on Mars detected in returned rock samples, reconstructing microbial ecosystems on the Red Planet is pure speculation," she writes. One section of the article therefore examines possibilities that the structures shown in the NASA photos could be also caused by "abiotic" - non-life - processes such as weathering.

The article suggests a well-founded hypothesis that the structures seen on the Mars images may be ancient MISS; the preliminary evidence presented in her report may be sound enough to warrant more investigation by NASA. She calls for the Curiosity mission and other astrobiology-focused missions to Mars to dedicate specific photography and data collection assignments to the search for MISS.

Noffke has received special recognition from numerous professional organizations in recent years and earlier this year was named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), which is one of the highest honors a scientist can receive. She was cited by the AAAS for her "seminal contributions to the field of geobiology, particularly for elucidation of the previously unrecognized 3.5-billion year fossil record of microbially induced sedimentary structures."

In addition to her faculty position as associate professor of ocean, earth and atmospheric science at ODU, she is a research fellow at the Carnegie Institution in Washington, D.C. This month she was elected president of the Geological Society of Washington, D.C.
