Het is van 1972 geleden dat er nog mensen op de maan liepen, met de missie van Apollo 17. Dat er effectief water zou zijn aan het oppervlak, zou volgens Bridenstine de sleutel zijn tot het succes van een nieuwe en duurzame missie erheen. “We weten nu dat er honderden miljarden ton waterijs op de oppervlakte van de maan ligt”, zei hij gisteren aan het persagentschap Reuters.

Een dag eerder had de Amerikaanse ruimtevaartorganisatie bekendgemaakt dat het ultiem bewijs had gevonden dat de donkerste en koudste plekken van de maan bedekt zijn met een laagje ijs. Dat bleek uit een analyse van data die de Maan Mineralogy Mapper (M3) had verzameld. Het zou gaan om honderden plekken die terug te vinden zijn aan de polen van de maan.

De aanwezigheid zou diepgaande gevolgen kunnen hebben voor een terugkeer van mensen naar de maan. Want het water kan niet alleen gebruikt worden om te drinken, maar ook om zuurstof en raketbrandstof te maken. En Bridenstine - die in april op voorspraak van president Donald Trump aan het hoofd kwam te staan van de NASA – ziet het groots. (lees hieronder verder)

“We willen shuttles die van een baan om de aarde naar een baan om de maan kunnen gaan en ook herbruikbaar zijn”, zegt hij. “We willen ook een ruimtestation bouwen dat in een baan om de maan zal vliegen en daar lange tijd zal kunnen blijven hangen. Van daaruit zullen dan landers heen en weer vliegen naar het oppervlak van de maan.”

Trump zei in december vorig jaar al dat hij weer astronauten naar de maan wilde sturen, in de aanloop naar een missie richting Mars. Hij trekt voor het volgende fiscale jaar dat op 1 oktober begint 17,2 miljard uit voor de NASA, waarvan ruim 9 miljard naar bemande ruimtemissies zal gaan. De Orion zou in 2020 een eerste onbemande vlucht rond de maan moeten maken. In 2023 zouden er dan voor het eerst astronauten aan boord van het ruimtetoestel zijn.

De Lunar Orbital Platform-Gateway – een ruimtestation in een baan om de maan – zou in de jaren 20 gebouwd worden. De eerste component zou in 2022 gelanceerd worden.

Er wordt echter ook opgeroepen tot voorzichtigheid, tot in de rangen van de NASA zelf. Volgens maanwetenschapper Sarah Noble (NASA) is het nog niet duidelijk hoeveel ijs er exáct op het maanoppervlak ligt. En hoe gemakkelijk het zal zijn om dat te ontginnen in hoeveelheden die praktisch gebruikt kunnen worden.

“Er zijn heel wat modellen en die geven ons allemaal verschillende antwoorden. We kunnen nu nog niet weten over hoeveel water het precies gaat. Daar is onderzoek voor nodig met een robot die op verschillende plaatsen op het maanoppervlak gaat kijken”, zegt ze.

What Happened To Phobos II? Russian Cosmonaut & U.S. Army Remote Viewers Say Something “Alien” Did

Witness testimony when it comes to ‘credibility’ is not really seen as a good source of information within the mainstream world, except when it fits into the accepted view of reality, or the reality that’s given to us by the global elite. At this point, it’s not hard to see the consistent stream of lies, in almost all realms from health to politics, that’s dished out by establishment media on a regular basis. When information is presented which goes against the grain no matter how credible the source, even if it goes far beyond simple witness testimony and into hard evidence, it’s always greeted with a harsh response. We see this today with science, and findings that challenge belief systems and have paradigm-shifting implications (like non-material science).

Things, however, are changing, the collective mind is definitely opening and willing to accept the fact that there are concepts of our reality that we may have overlooked, especially towards things that don’t fit the frame.

One of these topics is intelligent extraterrestrial life. Judging by global polls alone, a large portion of the world seems to believe that we are not alone in the universe and that there is intelligent life out there, it’s not just us…

When it comes to the UFO phenomenon, it’s not really taboo to discuss anymore. Dozens of governments have admitted to the existence of UFOs, they’ve released electrooptical data (radar tracking, video footage), and more. The phenomenon is real, and that really can’t be debunked or argued against. The U.S. government has also started a slow process of disclosure, having released multiple videos of their own through to the stars academy.

When it comes to the extraterrestrial hypothesis for the explanation of some of these UFOs, we have hundreds of high-ranking people from within the military, politics, aerospace, and education sector who have been telling the world that yes, some of these UFOs are indeed extraterrestrial space-craft.

We’ve written a lot about the phenomenon, and to sift through the articles we’ve published for the past (nearly) 10 years, you can visit the disclosure section of our website. I thought it was important to briefly mention the information above.

Phobos II

Space is a strange place, a place we don’t know much about, and an area that seems to be dominated by Black Budget Special Access Programs (SAP’s), and Unacknowledged Special Access programs. These are programs that are so secretive that they are exempt from standard reporting requirements to Congress. This has been made clear, not only by those who have investigated black budget programs (not many, more on that in the article linked above), but also by whistle-blowers, and people like Gary Mckinnon, who performed the largest military computer hack in history, finding strange pictures of space-ships floating near the Earth, as well as a list of “off-world officers” and “fleet to fleet” transfers of materials.

So, what happened to Phobos II? Phobos II was (from what we’re told), the very last space probe designed by the Soviet Union. It was designed to explore the moons of Mars, Phobos, and Demimos. It was launched on July 12th, 1988, and entered into orbit on January 29th, 1989.

The Probe got close to the surface of Mars, investigating its surface and atmosphere as well as returning approximately 40 images. The probe was also supposed to approach Phobos within 50 meters and release two landers, but all of a sudden, the mission ended and contact with the probe was completely lost.  The ‘official’ answer from NASA was that there was a malfunction onboard, but according to others, with ‘credibility,’ this is not what happened.

As Jim Mars points out in one of his books, Our Occulted History:

In mid-1991, six former U.S. Army remote viewers were commissioned by officials within the Russian space program to study the cause of Phobos II’s disappearance. Remote viewing is the term given to a controlled psychic ability that allows one to perceive persons, places, and things at a distance without the use of the normal five senses. Such techniques were studied by both academic and government scientists before the creation of a remote-viewing unit witin the U.S. Amy’s Intelligence and Security Command (INSOCOM) in the early 1970s.

Remote viewing was part of the US Government’s STARGATE program.

Anytime I mention remote viewing in an article, I always have to throw this in there from the declassified literature,

Successful replication of this type of remote viewing in independent laboratories has yielded considerable scientific evidence for the reality of the (remote viewing) phenomenon. Adding to the strength of these results was the discovery that a growing number of individuals could be found to demonstrate high-quality remote viewing, often to their own surprise. The CIA even participated as remote viewers themselves in order to critique the protocols. CIA personnel generated successful target descriptions of sufficiently high quality to permit blind matching of descriptions to targets by independent judges.

According to Mars, in 1991, the remote viewers issued a report titled “Enigma Penetration: Soviet Phobos II Space Craft Images Anomaly.” The report outlined how a disc-shaped object arose from the surface of Mars as Phobos neared, all while a second object moved even closer, scanning the probe, and then shooting some sort of, what appeared to be, a particle beam device, which disrupted the communication and guidance equipment.

This isn’t the first time a UFO has been said to shoot some sort of beam disrupting Earthly equipment, Colonel Ross Dedrickson, a high-ranking Air Force Officer who had a long stint with the US atomic energy commission provided an example in thisinterview, he also said extraterrestrial destroyed nuclear weapons that the US government wanted to detonate on the moon for scientific purposes… Here’sanother video of Professor Robert Jacobs describing another similar incident.

So, it’s not the first time we’re hearing about something like this.

Back to Phobos, according to Mars, the remote viewers said that “this may have been no accident, as it seems that all of the technology put into space from Earth is scrutinized closely by nonhumans. If it would reveal alien activities, then it is decommissioned. After being struck, Phobos II spiralled down crashing onto the Martian surface.

The remote viewers aren’t the only ones who spoke of such an incident. In 1991, a retired Soviet Air Force colonel and cosmonaut trainee named Marina Popovic, pictured belw on the far right, expressed that one of the last photographs received by the Russians from Phobos II showed “the silhouette of an odd-shaped object approaching the spacecraft.” Popovich said the picture was taken on March 25th, 1989, in deep space near Phobos (moon of Mars) shortly before contact with the craft was lost. She said the object very well may have been an alien spacecraft.” Her belief that this happened was also poorly expressed by the New York Times.

Why would she be lying? Especially when she is one of dozens of global astronauts to confirm the existence of “UFOs”, and some have confirmed the extraterrestrial hypothesis.

Alexander Dunayev, chairman of the Society Space organization responsible for the Phobos II project, said that “the doomed probe had photographed the image of a small odd-shaped object between itself and Mars. He speculated that the object might have been “debris in the orbit of Phobos” or even jettisoned parts from the spacecraft. His tone was anything but certain.

What’s most intriguing about this story is that the photograph drawn by the remote viewers matched the description of the disc above, which is something that was quite common in the remote viewing program. Again, it had an extremely high success rate, with viewers able to peer into secret Russian military bases and describe weapons facilities, naval facilities and more. They even used the program to locate a lost spy plane in Africa. There are multiple examples found within the declassified literature, and even more from the participants from within that program, like Ingo Swann, Pat Price, Joseph McMoneagle, Paul Smith, and many more.

The military-trained remote viewers, however, said they saw Mars Observer meeting the same fat as Phobos II as well as other, secret space launch that same moe month in 1993. They noted the similarity of fates between the Phobos missions and Mars observer. This pattern may have continued in another failed Russian attempt to probe the secrets of Phobos. In the fall of 2011, control over Phobos Grunt (literally, Phobos Soil) was lost, and fears grew that its ten-ton load of toxic fuel and oxidizer might wreak havoc when the failed craft reentered Earth’s atmosphere. The stricken craft reportedly crashed into the Pacific Ocean on Sunday, January 15th, 2012, with no reported consequence. Why would all these probes be failing? Could it be that something on Mars doesn’t want us observing the planet? One thing seems clear – someone or something continues to operate far outside Earth.

CLOSE UP FOTO VAN PLANEET NIBIRU ( VIDEO )

Nog steeds is de wereld stekeblind voor wat er in haar achtertuin gebeurt en nog steeds doet iedereen of alles wat er op aarde gebeurt volkomen normaal is. 

We hebben gezien hoe het aantal aardbevingen op aarde fenomenaal toeneemt en met de nadering van Nibiru is iemand er in geslaagd om een close up foto te maken. 

Een man die al jarenlang met haar samenwerkt voor wat betreft het maken van foto’s is een oudere heer genaamd Alberto. De door hem gemaakte foto’s zijn regelmatig op haar website te zien en de reden dat hij in staat is om goede foto’s te maken komt door de filters die hij gebruikt. 

Sinds 2003 maakt hij al foto’s van de planeet Nibiru en enkele maanden geleden had hij toch wel een aardige primeur omdat hij met behulp van een telelens erin was geslaagd om een close up te maken van de planeet Nibiru. 

Die ziet er als volgt uit:

Het ziet er niet uit als een mooie blauwachtige planeet als de aarde, maar schijnt een hele dichte atmosfeer te hebben met crèmekleurige luchten. 

Een ander fenomeen dat absoluut te maken heeft met de nadering van de planeet is iets waar al in oude tijden over wordt gesproken en waar wij ook eerder over schreven en dat zijn de zogenaamde trompet geluiden. 

We komen de zeven trompetten tegen in het boek Openbaringen van de Bijbel, maar ook in de Kolbrin bijbel. 

Als je een goede indruk wilt krijgen van hoe huiveringwekkend die geluiden kunnen zijn, neem dan vijf minuten de tijd om de volgende video te bekijken. Het zijn verschillende opnames van dergelijke geluiden, allemaal vastgelegd tijdens televisie-uitzendingen, waardoor je weet dat je niet met nep opnames te maken hebt. 


De Kolbrin bijbel schrijft het volgende: 

The days of stillness were followed by a time when the noise of trumpeting and shrilling was heard in the Heavens, and the people became as frightened beasts without a headsman. … The Doomshape thundered sharply in the Heavens and shot out bright lightings. Then a voice like ten thousand trumpets was heard … The whole of the land moved and mountains melted. The sky itself roared like ten thousand lions in agony. 

In dat kader is het ook interessant om te kijken naar de volgende video. Het is een christelijke benadering over de zeven trompetten die zullen losbarsten in de eindtijd en rampen over de aarde zullen brengen. Video is in het Engels, maar Nederlands ondertiteld. 
 

Als je wilt weten wat de toekomst brengt, kijk dan in de geschiedenis. Overal kom je in feite variaties tegen van hetzelfde verhaal. De heer/God/Jezus/Anunnaki/Marduk die op een goede dag terug zal/zullen keren. 

De komst van de planeet wordt onder andere aangekondigd via de vreemde trompet geluiden, iets dat zelfs bij de Dogon, een stam in de zuidelijke Sahara in Afrika, bekend is. 

We zijn nu op een punt aanbeland waarop je deze planeet (Nibiru) kunt zien, voelen en horen. Maar de wereld draait door en merkt ogenschijnlijk niets. De mensheid wordt afgeleid met vaccinaties, belastingen, politiek, leerplicht, godsdienst, bitcoins en meer, om er maar voor te zorgen dat er geen tijd of ruimte is om te zien wat er werkelijk speelt. Trap er niet in!

It’s the gift that keeps on giving … at least if you’re interested in Egyptology, mummies, strange brews, archeology and mysteries. We’re talking, of course, about the mysterious giant marble sarcophagus found in Alexandria, Egypt, recently that generated excitement when it was found, intrigue when rumors flew about its mysterious contents, puzzlement when the contents were not what was expected, disgust when some people wanted to drink the water inside and more questions when the remains turned out to be both men and a woman, with one skull showing a round surgical hole. If that wasn’t enough (it never is when it comes to Egyptian artifacts), some mysterious gold sheets that were mistakenly reported to be inside some of the bones have been analyzed and the pictures on them add to the mystique and mystery of the sarcophagus.

Mysterious black granite sarcophagus is finally OPENED

Luxor Times tweeted photos of the tiny (approximately 5cm by 3cm or 2 in by 1 in) gold sheets, also referred to as panels, found with the skeletons. Mostafa Waziri, secretary-general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, told Ahram Online that the panels (seen in this video) may be related to the military rankings of the three people buried in the sarcophagus. If true, it will be interesting to see which one belonged to the woman since female soldiers were sometimes depicted in Egyptian drawings.

Live Science contacted several experts to analyze the pictures of the panels and got a detailed report from Jack Ogden, president of the Society of Jewellery Historians and one of the foremost experts in the field. Ogden identified one image as an unhooded snake, which “had connotations of rebirth — they shed their skin — and thus [are] perfect in a funerary connection” and is often associated with the goddess Isis. However, those weren’t enough for Ogden to confirm this jewelry belonged to the female in the sarcophagus.

The other two sheets were more puzzling. One is a plant, possibly corn or a palm branch, which would again symbolize rebirth when placed with the dead. The last contains what looks like an opium poppy seed pod in a shrine, which Ogden speculates could have symbolized medicine (opium had medicinal usages in in Egypt) or getting stoned and entering a dream or coma-like state to symbolize death – or perhaps even induce it? As Ogden said of this panel, “It is intriguing.”

Indeed. Why was gold or jewelry placed with these bodies in a coffin that was quite possibly being shared due to mysterious circumstances. Were these people related? Heroes of the same war or battle? Killed by the same disease or plague? Something else?

What else is in this mysterious sarcophagus and why is it trickling out so slowly? Is the Ministry of Antiquities milking it for its tourism value … or it hiding something?

The universe is unimaginably large. The odds that we’ll find evidence of life anywhere in our cosmic neck of the woods is looking ever smaller, yet the time and energy required to send a craft or probe to look for alien civilizations in distant star systems means if you’re alive right now, you likely won’t live to experience first contact. Unless, of course, you’re some sort of immortal, in which case carry on.

They’re out there somewhere. Will we reach them before our sudden but inevitable extinction?

One proposed solution to help us explore distant reaches of space without sending generations of astronauts to live and die entire lifetimes aboard cramped, fart-filled spacecraft is the Breakthrough Starshot initiative proposed by Stephen Hawking. This concept imagines using powerful lasers to send postage-stamp sized craft hurtling through space at incredible speeds and may even be capable of sending one such craft to Mars in just three days. Obviously, humans can’t ride aboard these spacecraft for ants, but each tiny probe could carry cameras, scientific instruments, and communication equipment, even human DNA – more than enough to establish first contact.

Breakthrough Starshot wants to send thousands of their nanocraft throughout the galaxy to survey surface features of other planets. What could go wrong?

However, one leading astrophysicist and science writer has come out against the popular Breakthrough Starshot initiative. Ethan Siegel, a former columnist for NASA and current science writer for Forbes, self-published a piece claiming that Earth may one day accidentally declare interstellar war if the Starshot initiative ever comes to fruition. Siegel claims that sending anything hurtling through space at high speeds is a bad idea, even a tiny postage stamp-sized probe with no weaponry:

Perhaps we’ll send an array of starchips to the same system, hoping to probe these systems and gain more information. After all, the main science goal, as it’s been proposed, is to simply take data during arrival and transmit it back. But there are three huge problems with this plan, and combined, they could be tantamount to a declaration of interstellar war.

The three problems Siegel identify are that for one, these spacecraft are likely to be shredded into Swiss cheese by all of the particles of dust and other matter floating around in space, rendering the entire program a useless waste of resources. Secondly, Siegel says that there is no way to send these nanocraft with any level of precision to distant areas of interest. The most precise target we can aim for is a cone-shaped vector around any planet while hoping for the best, meaning we could blow right by inhabited planets and never know it. Finally, Siegel points out that there’s no way to stop these tiny spacecraft once they reach their destination, meaning we could send one of these tiny craft blowing right through an inhabited planet causing unknown levels of destruction given the speeds at which they will be moving.

While these are all certainly issues worthy of consideration before we start blasting lasers at space stamps, that last one should give us serious pause. Given how tricky even intraspecies communication can be when two humans don’t speak the same language, how can we be sure of how any of our attempts at communication will be received by hypothetical alien races about which we know absolutely nothing, not to mention bombarding them with high-speed projectiles? Of course, given some of the recent curious statements made by Air Force brass, maybe they’d like an interstellar war to test out their new Space Force. Will a tiny laser-propelled probe be the shot heard round the universe?

We live in an era where it seems that nothing a politician says or does has a predictable effect on his or her campaign, electability, poll numbers or performance in office. And that’s not limited to Washington either. In Florida (OK, it’s kind of a muggier Washington with alligators), a candidate for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives confirmed last October that stories saying she had been abducted by aliens as a child were true, as were statements that she communicated with them telepathically throughout her life. Those admissions didn’t knock her out of the race. Instead, this week the Miami Herald announced it was endorsing her for the job – citing her experience as an office holder and a businesswoman while admitting to and then dismissing her abduction story as a “non-issue.” Should it be an issue?

“I went in. There were some round seats that were there, and some quartz rocks that controlled the ship — not like airplanes.”

Republican candidate Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera said in a 2009 television interview that was resurrected in October 2017that she met three blond, tall, full-figured aliens (no body-shaming in space) — two females, one male (no sex discrimination either) — who looked like the giant Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro (a plug for the religious vote) and told her that there are 30,000 alien skulls in a cave on the island of Malta and the Coral Castle in Miami (alleged to have been made by a human) is actually an ancient Egyptian pyramid. Despite these admissions (or perhaps because of them), Aguilera has run a low-key campaign with few personal appearances and is still on the ballot for the upcoming primary election on August 28.

Not only is she on the ballot, Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera was endorsed this week by the editorial board of the Miami Herald – the second-largest newspaper in Florida known for its many Pulitzer prizes. Despite those (or perhaps because of them), the Herald put Aguilera’s alien contact and abduction story right out front, called her “a strong candidate in the race with plausible conservative ideas” and a “Working Class Agenda” and gave her its endorsement.

Of course, this is just the primary – the general election will be held in November – but it’s crowded and it will be interesting to see if conservative voters come out for someone with such a non-traditional origin story. Her statement that the aliens told her that “God is a universal energy” should help, although if that’s the case, why do we need a Space Force?

NUFORC Director Says UFO Reports in Decline, May Be Being ‘Intercepted’

For whatever reason, UFO reports seem to be declining. That’s at least according to data released by the U.S.-based National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC). NUFORC recently published data showing that after steady increases in reported sightings for several decades, sightings began to sharply decline in 2014. That alone should raise some eyebrows, as the recent explosion of drone aircraft worldwide should have likely increased UFO sightings. What’s behind this sudden decline in UFO sightings? According to NUFORC founder and director Peter Davenport, reports of sightings are possibly being intercepted by government agencies or other shadowy groups which seek to conceal the truth. Is there a conspiracy afoot to suppress UFO reports, or has the public at large merely grown bored with UFOs?

Who knows the extent of what knowledge has been suppressed over the years?

As all things UFO-related, it’s difficult to say. A decline in reports doesn’t necessarily mean a decline in sightings or incidents, it just means that for whatever reason, the reports aren’t coming in to NUFORC like they used to. Speaking to Business Insider about the slump in reports, Davenport is careful to toe the line, stating that while there could be perfectly benign reasons for this decline, it may also be that something more nefarious is going on behind the scenes:

The significant decrease in the number of reports has baffled everyone investigating within the UFO field. They see the same trend and they’re all confused by it. It could just be that there are fewer and fewer incidents, but it’s also possible that reports to UFO organisations are being intercepted electronically. Who would do something like that is a mystery, but if it’s happening, my first suspicion would be government organisations. It’s quite risky for a government to do that, but you can’t rule it out, I think.

Might there be something sinister going on behind the scenes in order to squash UFO reports before they’re filed? There have been what seem like hints of official disclosure coming out of the Pentagon over the last few years – although many have their doubts about all of this allegedly “declassified” information. Are these so-called disclosures merely another smokescreen?

It’s difficult what to make of this decline in reports. Without much concrete evidence to go on (that we know of), it could be said on one hand that the UFO phenomenon is an entirely social construction, a narrative or myth which pervades our culture and reflects our attitudes and beliefs about our skies and what goes on in them, the universe, and the question of whether or not we’re alone in the black vacuum of space. Thus, a decline in UFO sightings could be said to merely reflect changing societal attitudes towards the UFO phenomenon; a decline in reports could signal a decline in belief of UFOs itself.

If UFO sightings aren’t a cultural phemomenon, why are they so frequently saucer-shaped or black triangles?

On the other hand, with countless sightings throughout history on nearly every corner of the globe, it’s hard to say that there’s not something going on over our heads we can’t explain. Are witnesses going straight to social media and bypassing NUFORC and othe }r organizations, or might someone be actively attempting to suppress UFO reports?

Weird Debris Found at Dyatlov Pass close to where the Hikers died

A tantalizing find made at Russia's Dyatlov Pass may shed light on the mystery of what killed nine hikers at the site.

Located in the Ural Mountains, the remote patch of wilderness became infamous in paranormal lore after a 1959 incident which saw a hiking party perish under bizarre circumstances.

Despite a contemporaneous investigation by Russian officials and subsequent decades of study from independent researchers, the cause of the strange event has never been fully determined.

However, a discovery made by a tourist visiting the area could either constitute a break in the case or yet another glimmer of false hope for those who wish to see the mystery resolved.

The unnamed individual reportedly stumbled upon an intriguing piece of metal while visiting the area back in 2008.

Remarkably, the find was only recently confirmed after an expedition finally made their way out to the specific location to both see the object for themselves and to bring it back to civilization to be studied.

Researchers in Russia say that the mysterious metal fragment, which measures around three feet long by three feet wide, appears to be some kind of debris from an intercontinental missile.

Although it's hard to fathom that a piece of evidence from the Dyatlov Pass incident could have survived undiscovered in the Ural mountains for nearly sixty years, the extremely remote nature of the location leaves open the possibility that it very well may have.

Presumably an examination of the metal will allow for it to be identified and, in turn, place it within some time frame which will reveal whether or not it is connected to the case.

Should it be proven that the metal came from a missile being used or tested at the time that the hikers died, it would add considerable strength to the longstanding suspicion that the hikers fell victim to some kind of weapon that was clandestine at the time, report sputniknews and coasttocoast.

But if it was a missile then that time they must have found much more debris of the missile as well as the impact place and that is not the case. I think the origin of this object is otherwise then they suggest.

Cassini Probe show a "mysterious object" in the Rings of Saturn, Aug 2018, UFO Sighting News.

This is a great discovery by Cassini, several UFOs caught flying around Saturn. One of the UFOs was named Peggy by NASA and is thought to an unknown object that flew into the ring area recently. We know very little about Saturn, and can't see below its thick atmosphere, but it does have a diameter 9.5X that of Earth. Something that big with such an active atmosphere must have a lot of life forms on it. These UFOs are proof that Saturn has visitors from far away.

Just before the NASA Cassini spacecraft burned in the atmosphere of Saturn, he managed to photograph an "unexplained glitch" on the rings of Saturn. "What is that? Where does it come from? Where is he going? We have been monitoring it almost since "astronomers have seen it for the first time", they say to NASA. "We have never solved the problem of the origin of this' object. All we can do is follow the error in the last photographs taken by Cassini before it burned in the atmosphere of Saturn ". One of the last images taken by the Cassini space probe has shown something mysterious in the rings of Saturn. Are they aliens? "Not really, but it would be exciting. Really exciting !! The mysteries yet to be resolved is the possible formation of a strange "unidentified object" dubbed "Peggy". Some have proposed that it could be a moon that is supposed to have formed within the rings of Saturn. Astronomers were able to analyze it but for a short time, thanks to disturbances within the rings of Saturn, which were first detected by an astronomer of Queen Mary University in London, dr. Carl Murray.

Alien life form flies past person recording in Middlesex, New Jersey, Video, Aug 2018, UFO Sighting News.

At first I thought this was cotton from a cotton tree. I've got a lot of those around where I live, but its too white, balled up, where cotton is partly transparent. This object stops in the leaves then suddenly shoots away like a jet. No cotton could do that. Its obviously not an insect since it has no wings, legs or head. 

When the UFO was in the leaves...it hovered, but was still pushed by the wind, matching the leaves movements...this made me think it was stuck in a web for a little bit, but it wasn't. It was interested in the leaves. It changed shape from oval to round every few seconds. 

The object moves with intelligence and at the end shot off with incredible speed. This was a mini alien UFO...a mini probe meant to go unseen and ignored by humans...but one person caught it! Then again, this could be an alien life form visiting us. 

I have seen small UFOs...once a few years ago I meditated on the roof a my 8 floor building (because I saw it work for someone on Youtube) and 2 meters in front of me a round pearlescent and semi transparent orb appeared 6 inches from the edge of the building. It was softball size and showed up on the opposite side of my camera on the tripod...I flipped the tripod around, but the little bugger shot 50 meters in those 2 seconds! Yes...got it on video far away and looks white glowing...like this. Meditation never worked for me again. :(

The scientists have to pass some stigmas in their head about what a UFO is...but also, more importantly, how big or small a UFO might be. A UFO the size of this one in the video will always be considered nothing by most scientists. But clearly its something. When it comes to aliens...size has no limits. I have seen many reports of eyewitnesses who encounter alien life forms, some were four meters tall, others were a few cm tall. So who is right? Well, look at it this way, the USAF taught Bob Lazar in Area 51 that the US gov knew of 56 space faring alien species. So then...do you really think they are all the same hight? Do you think they all look just like us? Of course they are not. Different planets have different atmospheres to breath and different gravity to contend with. Also who knows what species grows dominant on other planets? A plant could, a tree could, a lizard species could, a fish species could, a bird species could, and so many we cannot even imagine. So...lets keep an open mind.

NASA finds ice on the Moon — raising prospects of a lunar colony

For the first time, scientists have found irrefutable evidence of ice on the lunar surface. To make things even more exciting, this makes the prospect of establishing a lunar colony much more likely.

In 1835, a journalist working for The Sun (a New York newspaper), published a series of articles in which he claimed that life on the Moon had been discovered. He went on to say that winged humanoids and goat-like creatures inhabited the Moon, attributing the findings to Sir John Herschel, one of the greatest astronomers of the time. The articles, however, were a hoax — nothing more than a joke played on an unsuspecting audience. But this hoax echoed with so many people because it appealed to a very common curiosity: what is the Moon like? Is it like the Earth? Does it host alien life? Is it real?

Our understanding of the Moon has improved dramatically since then, and we know that no goat-like creatures could live on its surface. But the Moon is still as intriguing as ever, spurring heated debates about its formation, past life forms, and even a planned human colony. A big part of these discussions, however, hinges on a particular and familiar substance: water.

Although previous research has indicated the potential of water (especially frozen water) on the lunar surface, now, for the first time, astronomers have direct evidence of ice on the satellite. Beyond the shadow of a doubt, we can now say that there’s ice on the Moon.

Using NASA’s Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3), a team led by Shuai Li of the University of Hawaii and Brown University and including Richard Elphic from NASA’s Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley, have measured how some areas of the moon absorb light. Based on that data, they’ve identified three specific signatures which together form a clear indication of ice. The signatures indicate frozen water, not liquid or vapor.

Previously, NASA’s LRO discovered that hydrogen (potentially from water) is more abundant on pole-facing slopes, a discovery consistent with the new study. Because it doesn’t have an atmosphere, the Moon is riddled with impact craters — and in the shadow of these craters, we might find the ice needed for a lunar colony.

Most of the ice is concentrated around the Moon’s darkest locations, which are consequently the coldest — the shadows of craters around the Moon’s polar areas. Because of the very small tilt of the Moon’s rotation axis, sunlight never reaches these regions, thus making the Moon unique in our solar system in terms of frozen ice.

“We found direct and definitive evidence for surface-exposed water ice in the lunar polar regions. The abundance and distribution of ice on the Moon are distinct from those on other airless bodies in the inner solar system such as Mercury and Ceres, which may be associated with the unique formation and evolution process of our Moon.”

Furthermore, researchers say, it seems like there’s enough water ice to support an exploration or even a permanent mission on the Moon. The Moon has been shown to host vast quantities of water beneath its surface, but surface ice would be much more accessible and easy to use.

It’s not the first time evidence of ice has been picked up on the moon. However, previous observations could have theoretically been explained by very reflective soils. Now, that’s out of the question.

Future research will try to explain how this ice got there in the first place and what role it plays in the lunar environment.

STEVE, the ‘ribbon aurora’, is actually a new kind of celestial phenomenon

In 2016, odd ribbons of purple and white light were brought to the attention of scientists, who classed it as a new type of aurora. In reality, the beautiful beam of light (called STEVE) may be far more interesting, after physicists concluded in a new study that it may actually be an entirely new celestial phenomenon.

Aurora chasers and star enthusiasts have been sighting STEVE for decades but it was only recently that scientists were called in to make sense of it. Initially, physicists classed STEVE as a ‘proton arc’ — another rare type of aurora, which isn’t caused by electrons hitting Earth’s magnetic field but by more massive proton outbursts following a solar flare. Later, with the help of NASA –which sent a swarm of satellites right through a STEVE event — scientists found that accelerated and heated charged particles may have been interacting with a particular part of the Earth’s magnetic field in the ionosphere.

The data suggested that STEVE is a “subauroral ion drift.”

Researchers at the University of Calgary in Canada weren’t convinced, though. STEVE shines in thin ribbons of purple, rather than in red, green, or yellow curtains, as is the case of typical auroras. This suggested that the light show is cut of a different cloth from an aurora. Another clue was that STEVE is only visible a few times per year while auroras are visible every night if viewing conditions are right.

The researchers decided to focus on a STEVE event in March 2008, which was recorded using both ground-based cameras designed to track auroras but also NOAA’s Polar Orbiting Environmental Satellite 17, which was directly overhead at the time. The analysis showed that STEVE’s light isn’t produced by particles raining down into the ionosphere, as typically happens with the aurora. This means that STEVE is an entirely new phenomenon distinct from typical auroras.

“Our main conclusion is that STEVE is not an aurora,” said Bea Gallardo-Lacourt, a space physicist at the University of Calgary in Canada and lead author of the new study.

“So right now, we know very little about it. And that’s the cool thing, because this has been known by photographers for decades. But for the scientists, it’s completely unknown.”

The new kind of optical phenomenon is called “skyglow”, the authors wrote in the journal Geophysical Research Letters. In the future, the researchers plan to determine whether streams of fast ions and hot electrons in the ionosphere are creating STEVE’s light, or if the light is produced higher up in the atmosphere. In the process, scientists will gain a better understanding of the upper atmosphere and the light-generating processes in the sky.

“This is really interesting because we haven’t figured it out and when you get a new problem, it’s always exciting,” said Joe Borovsky, a space physicist at the Space Science Institute in Los Alamos, New Mexico who was not connected to the new study. “It’s like you think you know everything and it turns out you don’t.”

THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE MYTH OF AREA 51

There are no aliens at America's most famous top-secret military base, but what is there is just as interesting.

In the middle of the barren Nevada desert, there's a dusty unmarked road that leads to the front gate of Area 51. It's protected by little more than a chain link fence, a boom gate, and intimidating trespassing signs. One would think that America's much mythicized top secret military base would be under closer guard, but make no mistake. They are watching.

Beyond the gate, cameras see every angle. On the distant hilltop, there's a white pickup truck with a tinted windshield peering down on everything below. Locals says the base knows every desert tortoise and jackrabbit that hops the fence. Others claim there are embedded sensors in the approaching road.

What exactly goes on inside of Area 51 has led to decades of wild speculation. There are, of course, the alien conspiracies that galactic visitors are tucked away somewhere inside. One of the more colorful rumors insists the infamous 1947 Roswell crash was actually a Soviet aircraft piloted by mutated midgets and the wreckage remains on the grounds of Area 51. Some even believe that the U.S. government filmed the 1969 moon landing in one of the base's hangars.

For all the myths and legends, what's true is that Area 51 is real and still very active. There may not be aliens or a moon landing movie set inside those fences, but something is going on and only a select few are privy to what's happening further down that closely-monitored wind-swept Nevada road. "The forbidden aspect of Area 51 is what makes people want to know what's there," says aerospace historian and author Peter Merlin who's been researching Area 51 for more than three decades.

"And there sure is still a lot going on there."

The Origins of a Mystery

The beginning of Area 51 is directly related to the development of the U-2 reconnaissance aircraft. After World War II, the Soviet Union lowered the Iron Curtain around themselves and the rest of the Eastern bloc, creating a near intelligence blackout to the rest of the world. When the Soviets backed North Korea's invasion of South Korea in June 1950, it became increasingly clear that the Kremlin would aggressively expand its influence. America worried about the USSR's technology, intentions, and ability to launch a surprise attack—only a decade removed from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

In the early 1950s, U.S. Navy and Air Force sent low-flying aircraft on reconnaissance missions over the USSR, but they were at constant risk of being shot down. In November 1954, President Eisenhower approved the secret development of a high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft called the U-2 program. One of the first orders of business was to track down a remote, covert location for training and testing. They found it in the southern Nevada desert near a salt flat known as Groom Lake, which had once been a World War II aerial gunnery range for Army Air Corps pilots.

Known by its map designation as Area 51, this middle-of-nowhere site became a new top-secret military base. To convince workers to come, Kelly Johnson, one of the leading engineers of the U-2 project, gave it a more enticing name: Paradise Ranch.

Making a Myth

U-2 testing began in July 1955, and immediately reports came flooding in about unidentified flying object sightings. If you read the details in a 1992 CIA report that was declassified with redactions in 1998 (and subsequently released nearly in full in 2013), it's easy to see why.

Many of these sightings were observed by commercial airline pilots who had never seen an aircraft fly at such high altitudes as the U-2. Whereas today's airliners can soar as high as 45,000 feet, in the mid-1950s airlines flew at altitudes between 10,000 and 20,000 feet. Known military aircraft could get to 40,000 feet, and some believed manned flight couldn't go any higher than that. The U-2, flying at altitudes in excess of 60,000 feet, would've looked completely alien.

U.S. AIR FORCE

Naturally, Air Force officials knew the majority of these unexplained sightings were U-2 tests, but they were not allowed to reveal these details to the public. So, "natural phenomena" or "high-altitude weather research" became go-to explanations for UFO sightings, including in 1960 when Gary Powers' U-2 was shot down over Russia.

What's also interesting about the most recent 2013 report is that it confirms Area 51's existence. While the 1998 version does have significant redactions when referencing the name and location of the U-2 test site, the nearly un-redacted version from 2013 reveals much more, including multiple references to Area 51, Groom Lake, and even a map of the area.

"This Is Earth Technology"

U-2 operations halted in the late 1950s, but other top secret military aircrafts continued tests at Area 51. Over the years, the A-12 and numerous stealth aircrafts like Bird of Prey, F-117A, and TACIT BLUE have all been developed and tested in the Nevada desert. More declassified documents reveal Area 51's role in "Project Have Doughnut,"a 1970s attempt to study covertly obtained Soviet MiGs.

"They flew them [over Area 51]..and pitted our own fighters against them to develop tactics," says Merlin, "They learned that you can't out-turn it, but you can outrun it. And it's still going on today.... Now, instead of seeing MiG-17s and 21s, there's MiG-29s and SU-27s."

The flights are ongoing. In September 2017, an Air Force Lt. Col. was killed under mysterious circumstances when his plane crashed in Nevada and the Pentagon would not immediately ID the aircraft. It seems he was most likely flying a foreign jet obtained by the United States.

Even so, the alien conspiracies gained ground in 1989 when Bob Lazar claimed in an interview on Las Vegas local news that he'd seen aliens and had helped to reverse-engineer alien spacecrafts while working at the base. Many have disregarded this as fiction and are even offended at the notion, including Merlin, who has spent years talking with former Area 51 engineers and employees angered by all the fuss about E.T.

"Some are even mad because they worked on these things and built these amazing planes," Merlin says. "This is Earth technology. You got folks claiming it's extraterrestrial when it's really good old American know-how."

The Truth Is Out There

Today, Area 51 is still very much in use. According to Google Earth, new construction and expansions are continuously happening. On most early mornings, eagle-eyed visitors can spot strange lights in the sky moving up and down. No, it's not a UFO. It's actually the semi-secret contract commuter airline using the call-sign "Janet" that transports workers from Las Vegas's McCarran Airport to the base.

As for what's happening these days in America's most secretive military base, few know for sure. Merlin has some educated guesses, including improved stealth technology, advanced weapons, electronic warfare systems and, in particular, unmanned aerial vehicles. Chris Pocock, noted U-2 historian and author of several books about the matter, told Popular Mechanics he thinks classified aircraft, more exotic forms of radio communication, directed energy weapons, and lasers are currently under development at the base.

While the lore around Area 51 may be nothing more than imaginative fiction, that won't stop people from gawking just beyond those chain link fences. "At the most basic level, anytime you have something secret or forbidden, it's human nature," says Merlin. "You want to find out what it is."

How to Explore Area 51

Fact or fiction, aliens are a big tourism draw. In 1996, the state of Nevada renamedRoute 375 as the "Extraterrestrial Highway," and destinations such as the Alien Research Center and the Little A'Le'Inn (in the town of Rachel with a population around 54) dot the road.

To Area 51's west, there's the Alien Cathouse which is advertised as the only alien-themed brothel in the world. Geocaching also attracts visitors here since the highway is considered a "mega-trial" with over 2,000 geocaches hidden in the area.

Then there's the actual base. While getting inside is not in the cards for most, curious civilians can actually drive up to front and back gates. Locals will direct you, and the website Dreamland Resort is a great resource full of maps, driving directions, and first-hand accounts.

However, one should be careful when planning a trek to Area 51. It's the desert, after all, so bring plenty of water, snacks, and have proper weather gear—for the hot days and the cold nights. Phone service and GPS probably won't work, so have printouts and actual maps. Gas stations are few and far in between, so carry spare fuel and tires.

Also, remember the government doesn't really want you peering into Area 51. Both Merlin and Pocock confirmed that they have been closely observed or even intimidated by guards and security (including an F-16 fly-by). Do not trespass under any circumstances or arrests and heavy fines await you.

Eindelijk bewezen: er ligt ijs op de maan - HLN.be

Wetenschappers geloofden al langer dat er zich ijs bevond op de beide polen van de maan. Bepaalde plekken worden er immers nooit belicht, waardoor ze in permanente duisternis gehuld en de temperatuur er ver onder het vriespunt ligt. Echt sluitend bewijs was er echter nog niet. Tot nu.

Reflectie

Om de aanwezigheid van ijs voor eens en altijd te bevestigen, deden wetenschappers een beroep op data van de M3, een spectrometer die sinds 2008 het maanoppervlak bestudeert. Door onder andere de reflectie van het ijs te analyseren, kon de M3 alle twijfel wegnemen: er werd ijs gevonden op beide polen. Op de zuidpool zou het ijs vooral geconcentreerd zijn in kraters, terwijl het eerder wijdverspreid is op de noordpool. 

De ontdekking kan weleens nuttig zijn voor toekomstige maanlandingen. Het ijs aan de oppervlakte is makkelijker te bereiken dan dieper gelegen waterbronnen en kan misschien worden gebruikt bij een volgende missie op de maan, zo meldt NASA in een persbericht.

40 keer zo helder als de maan: vuurbal van bijna twee meter stort naar de Aarde - HLN.be

De hemel lichtte vrijdagochtend op boven de Amerikaanse staat Alabama. Met een snelheid van 86.422 km/u suisde een meteoor van 1,8 meter diameter naar de aarde. De kleine asteroïde werd het eerst gezien op ongeveer 93 kilometer hoogte, en spatte zo’n 29 kilometer boven Oak Grove uit elkaar. Op een bepaald moment was de vuurbal 40 keer helderder dan de maan, meldt de NASA. Verscheidene deur- en andere camera’s legden het natuurfenomeen vast.

A new report published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) revealed that a team of scientists found three distinct signatures of water on the lunar surface using NASA’s Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) instrument which was delivered there in 2008 by the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft. That was India’s first lunar probe, entering lunar orbit on November 8, 2008. It also released the Moon Impact Probe which crashed into the Moon’s south pole and first detected water in the lunar soil below the surface. M3 also detected what could be indications of water on the surface, but scientists at that time could not agree on its validity.

Fortunately, NASA never throws anything away. Ten years later, Shuai Li of the University of Hawaii and Brown University and Richard Elphic from NASA’s Ames Research Center in California took another look at the M3 data. This time they noticed that reflective areas on the surface in the barely lit shadows of craters at the lunar south pole absorbed infrared light in the same way that solid ice does. That was the first proof of ice on the lunar surface. Additional studies of the data from the lunar north pole showed similar surface ice, but in much lower quantities.

This is truly big news for future lunar astronauts who will now be able to obtain water without having to use radar or dowsing instruments to find it underground and then drill for it. Sure, they’ll still have to deal with the -250 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures at the poles where the water is, but what’s a little cold when you’ll soon be making hot lunar water coffee?

Chandrayaan-1 continues to be an interesting little spacecraft. While it was supposed to operate for two years, it mysteriously shut down and went dead after just 10 months. Fortunately, it had completed 95% of its mission. While most scientists figured it would soon leave orbit and crash into the lunar surface, curious NASA scientists extrapolated its orbit and, in 2016, found the little probe still circling the Moon – an exercise that will help locate lost satellites and equipment in the future.
