Ancient Alien Face, Pillars, And Totem Pole Found On Mars Near Rover! Oct 22, 2021, UFO Sighting News.

I found this alien faces with extended forehead in a Mars photo today. The face was only visible on one side, since it was laying on its side and the other was laying in the shadows. However I decided to cut the photo in half to make two matching sides (above photo, left side). The dark black eyes are very similar to reports of grey aliens who are so sensitive to light, that they have genetically manipulated their DNA to evolve sun glasses eyelids. The size of the head is about 1 foot by 2.5 feet long. Yes, they have a second set of eyelids. In the sculpture above you can see the shoulders, upper ribs, chin, nose, cheeks, eyes, eye ridges, and a unique design on its forehead. Its obvious from the color and the texture that this is not part of the rock its laying against, since the rock its attached too is...yellow and the alien head is black and white! Its clearly a sculpture against a wall formation that has long ago fallen down on its side. Lucky for us...mother nature has not destroyed it or covered it up with sand. Funny though...how NASA rover tire prints are just meters away from this alien head sculpture. This is undeniable proof that advanced aliens...existed on Mars...and NASA refuses to report such discoveries!

 

I also found a totem pole, at the top of a hill, laying on its side. It almost looks like a cannon with its burnt end, but its a totem pole, to be viewed from far way to show the location, name and owners.

Father William Gill: Papa New Guinea 1959 UFO/People Encounter

The Boainai incident is one of the most mysterious and fascinating UFO events in history. The year was 1959 and it involved one Father Gill and more than three dozen students in a missionary school. For nearly three consecutive nights strange objects were observed in the sky, with one large hovering object about a hundred meters above the ground, the object being about forty feet across. It was a circular shaped object, metallic in appearance, wider at the bottom with several portholes, that incredibly kept returning back every night very near the school.

It stayed hovering mostly accompanied by two or more smaller objects higher up in the sky. Father Gill and his entourage (students) all watched it for hours. They saw figures emerge on top of the object getting engaged in some repair-type activity whose attention they tried to get by waving at them. To their surprise the figures that looked like “humans” to father Gill waved back at them several times. The astonished priest and his students also shook a flashlight at the object and the occupants, by which time the figures had left the deck, and the object started to make a rocking motion from side to side as if to match the swinging motion of the flashlight, and appeared to come closer and closer to the crowd below.

It never landed though but had four landing gears that were visible to the entire group of people observing from below. It was clearly not a dirigible from all accounts, and appeared in such a remote area of the world, with landing gears, hovering characteristic for hours, and very fast departure speed from a relatively stationary state.

Daytime Tic-Tac UFO over Yorktown, Virginia 2021

Here’s one new UFO footage of a bright Tic-Tac UFO filmed in the sky above Yorktown on 29th August 2021.

Witness report: 

I captured a video on August 29 at 7:38 PM here in Yorktown, VA of what appears to be a tic-tac shaped UAP. I don’t think it’s a plane. It doesn’t appear to have wings or a tail and the body is just way too big for a plane. (I am facing eastward and am just off Coventry Blvd. And this is the route planes take to the Newport News Airport, but this simply isn’t one.)

Researchers Create Self-Reconfigurable Swarms of Multi-Legged Robots

A team of U.S. researchers has developed a reconfigurable swarm of identical low-cost four-legged robots — with directionally flexible legs and tail — that can be linked on demand and autonomously.

“Legged robots can navigate challenging environments such as rough terrain and tight spaces, and the use of limbs offers effective body support, enables rapid maneuverability and facilitates obstacle crossing,” said Dr. Yasemin Ozkan-Aydin, a robotics engineer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and the School of Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

“However, legged robots face unique mobility challenges in terrestrial environments, which results in reduced locomotor performance.”

For the study, Dr. Ozkan-Aydin and her colleague, Professor Daniel Goldman from the Georgia Institute of Technology, hypothesized that a physical connection between individual robots could enhance the mobility of a terrestrial legged collective system.

Individual robots performed simple or small tasks such as moving over a smooth surface or carrying a light object, but if the task was beyond the capability of the single unit, the robots physically connected to each other to form a larger multi-legged system and collectively overcome issues.

“When ants collect or transport objects, if one comes upon an obstacle, the group works collectively to overcome that obstacle,” Dr. Ozkan-Aydin said.

“If there’s a gap in the path, for example, they will form a bridge so the other ants can travel across — and that is the inspiration for this study.”

“Through robotics we’re able to gain a better understanding of the dynamics and collective behaviors of these biological systems and explore how we might be able to use this kind of technology in the future.”

Using a 3D printer, the scientists built four-legged robots measuring 15 to 20 cm (6-8 inches) in length.

Each was equipped with a lithium polymer battery, microcontroller and three sensor: a light sensor at the front and two magnetic touch sensors at the front and back, allowing the robots to connect to one another.

Four flexible legs reduced the need for additional sensors and parts and gave the robots a level of mechanical intelligence, which helped when interacting with rough or uneven terrain.

“You don’t need additional sensors to detect obstacles because the flexibility in the legs helps the robot to move right past them,” Dr. Ozkan-Aydin said.

“They can test for gaps in a path, building a bridge with their bodies; move objects individually; or connect to move objects collectively in different types of environments, not dissimilar to ants.”

The researchers tested their robots over grass, mulch, leaves and acorns.

The robots were also tested over shag carpeting, and rectangular wooden blocks were glued to particle board to serve as rough terrain.

When an individual unit became stuck, a signal was sent to additional robots, which linked together to provide support to successfully traverse obstacles while working collectively.

“There are still improvements to be made on our design,” Dr. Ozkan-Aydin said.

“But we expect the findings will inform the design of low-cost legged swarms that can adapt to unforeseen situations and perform real-world cooperative tasks such as search-and-rescue operations, collective object transport, space exploration and environmental monitoring.”

The team’s work was published in the journal Science Robotics.

NASA’s Perseverance Rover Records Martian Sounds

NASA’s Perseverance rover carries two microphones which are directly recording sounds on Mars, including wind gusts, rover wheels crunching over gravel, motors whirring as Perseverance moves its arm, and the Ingenuity helicopter.

“It’s like you’re really standing there,” said Dr. Baptiste Chide, a planetary scientist at L’Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie.

“Martian sounds have strong bass vibrations, so when you put on headphones, you can really feel it.”

“I think microphones will be an important asset to future Mars and Solar System science.”

Perseverance is the first rover to record Martian sound using dedicated microphones — both of which were commercially available, off-the-shelf devices.

One rides on the side of the rover’s chassis. The second microphone sits on the rover’s mast as a complement to the SuperCam laser instrument’s investigations of rocks and the atmosphere.

SuperCam studies rocks and soil by zapping them with a laser, then analyzing the resulting vapor with a camera.

Because the laser pulses up to hundreds of times per target, opportunities to capture the sound of those zaps quickly add up: the microphone has already recorded more than 25,000 laser shots.

Some of those recordings are teaching scientists about changes in the planet’s atmosphere.

After all, sound travels through vibrations in the air. From its perch on Perseverance’s mast, the SuperCam microphone is ideally located for monitoring microturbulence and complements the rover’s dedicated wind sensors, which are part of the Mars Environmental Dynamics Analyzer (MEDA).

MEDA’s sensors sample the wind’s speed, pressure, and temperature one to two times per second for up to two hours at a time.

SuperCam’s microphone, on the other hand, can provide similar information at a rate of 20,000 times per second over several minutes.

“It’s kind of like comparing a magnifying glass to a microscope with 100 times magnification,” said MEDA’s principal investigator Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Manfredi, a researcher in the Centro de Astrobiología at the Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial.

“From the weather scientist’s point of view, each perspective — detail and context — complements one another.”

The microphone also allows for research on how sound propagates on Mars.

Because the planet’s atmosphere is much less dense than Earth’s, scientists knew higher-pitched sounds in particular would be hard to hear.

In fact, a few scientists were surprised when the microphone picked up the Ingenuity helicopter’s buzzing rotors during its fourth flight, on April 30, 2021 from a distance of 80 m (262 feet).

Information from the helicopter audio enabled researchers to eliminate two of three models developed to anticipate how sound propagates on Mars.

“Sound on Mars carries much farther than we thought,” siad SuperCam scientist Dr. Nina Lanza, a researcher at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

“It shows you just how important it is to do field science.”

Rapid Climate Change Wiped Out Woolly Mammoths, Study Confirms

In a large-scale environmental DNA metagenomic study of ancient plant and mammal communities, an international team of researchers have analyzed 535 permafrost and lake sediment samples from across the Arctic spanning the past 50,000 years.

“Scientists have argued for 100 years about why mammoths went extinct,” said Professor Eske Willerslev, a researcher at the University of Cambridge and director of the Lundbeck Foundation GeoGenetics Centre at the University of Copenhage.

“Humans have been blamed because the animals had survived for millions of years without climate change killing them off before, but when they lived alongside humans they didn’t last long and we were accused of hunting them to death.”

“We have finally been able to prove was that it was not just the climate changing that was the problem, but the speed of it.”

“They were not able to adapt quickly enough when the landscape dramatically transformed and their food became scarce.”

“As the climate warmed up, trees and wetland plants took over and replaced the mammoth’s grassland habitats.”

“And we should remember that there were a lot of animals around that were easier to hunt than a giant woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) — they could grow to the height of a double decker bus!”

Woolly mammoths and their ancestors lived on Earth for approximately 5 million years.

During this period, herds of these huge animals as well as reindeers and woolly rhinoceroses thrived in the cold and snowy conditions.

Despite the cold, a lot of vegetation grew to keep the various species of animals alive — grass, flowers, plants, and small shrubs would all have been eaten by the vegetarian mammoths who probably their tusks to shovel snow aside and are likely to have used their trunks to uproot tough grasses. They were so big because they needed huge stomachs to digest the grass.

Mammoths could travel a distance equivalent of going around the world twice during their lifetime and fossil records show they lived on all continents except Australia and South America.

Populations were known to have initially survived the end of the latest Ice Age in small pockets off the coasts of Siberia and Alaska — on Wrangel Island and St Paul Island — but the new research found they actually lived longer elsewhere too and the breeds of mammoths on both the islands were closely related despite being geographically separated.

The authors also sequenced the DNA of 1,500 Arctic plants for the very first time to be able to draw these globally significant conclusions.

“The most recent Ice Age ended 12,000 years ago when the glaciers began to melt and the roaming range of the herds of mammoths decreased,” said Dr. Yucheng Wang, a researcher in the Department of Zoology at the University of Cambridge.

“It was thought that mammoths began to go extinct then but we also found they actually survived beyond the Ice Age all in different regions of the Arctic and into the Holocene — the time that we are currently living in — far longer than scientists realised.”

“We zoomed into the intricate detail of the environmental DNA and mapped out the population spread of these mammals and show how it becomes smaller and smaller and their genetic diversity gets smaller and smaller too, which made it even harder for them to survive.”

“When the climate got wetter and the ice began to melt it led to the formation of lakes, rivers, and marshes.”

“The ecosystem changed and the biomass of the vegetation reduced and would not have been able to sustain the herds of mammoths.”

“We have shown that climate change, specifically precipitation, directly drives the change in the vegetation — humans had no impact on them at all based on our models.”

The team’s results appear today in the journal Nature.

You may have seen the new book from James T. Lacatski D. Eng., Colm A Kelleher Ph.D., and, George Knapp. Its title: Skinwalkers at the Pentagon: An Insiders’ Account of the Secret Government UFO Program. There’s no doubt that’s a wild body of material. I’ll be reviewing Skinwalkers at the Pentagon very soon. So, I thought that while, right now, there’s a deep interest in this creepy phenomenon – not to forget the government connections to the phenomenon –  I would share with you the background on this undeniably dangerous beast. In the Middle Ages, the most feared of all the many and varied shapeshifters was the werewolf, and particularly so throughout much of Europe. Today, however, a very good, solid case can be made that the Skinwalker is one of the most dangerous transformer of all. It is a creature that dominates the culture and the folklore of certain Native Americans – and to the extent that some will not even utter its name, for fear of it creating a backlash against the person who dared to speak the deadly S–word. But what, exactly, are these things that instill such fear in countless numbers of people? Let us take a look. The answers are many, but you might not be happy with what you are about to learn.

For certain Native American people, the Skinwalker – tales of which date back centuries – is a definitive witch, a crone-like thing that has the ability to change its form, and radically so, too. And it is not just one specific type of beast into which the witch can change, but multiple ones. While a shapeshifting Native American witch can take on, quite literally, hundreds of forms, the most often reported guises are bears, coyotes, various types of birds, and – at the top of the list – wolves or wolf-like animals. This latter issue, of course, emphasizes that the Skinwalker is not that dissimilar at all to the traditional European werewolf, despite being separated by distances of thousands of miles. There can be no doubt that, in recent times, at least, interest in the Skinwalker mystery soared in 2005. That was when Colm A. Kelleher and George Knapp penned their best-selling book, Hunt for the Skinwalker. It was a book which detailed strange and terrifying activity on a remote ranch in Utah – activity which suggested manipulative Skinwalkers had descended on the ranch and who quickly began wreaking havoc – maybe, simply, because they could. As well as experiencing countless UFO encounters, and sightings of large and hairy Bigfoot-type beasts, the family also had confrontations with a huge, malevolent wolf; a monster-size animal upon which bullets had absolutely no effect at all. As George Knapp noted in Hunt for the Skinwalker, with regard to the many and varied phenomena that caused chaos and mayhem on the ranch:  “…reality isn’t what it used to be.” For the Native Americans, however, reality hasn’t been what it appears to be for a very long time.

The process by which a witch can become a Skinwalker is a highly complex one, and one which involves several different processes. For example, witches who are both learned and skilled in magical arts can transform themselves into a wide variety of creatures, and all by focusing on its image in their minds – very often in the confines of their teepee. In most cases, however, a witch will secure the hide of the animal they wish to become and wrap it around their shoulders and back. By effectively wearing the hide, the witch – slowly and step by step – becomes the very beast it specifically seeks to emulate. And, so Native American teachings maintain, that includes adopting its keen senses of smell and sight, its agility and speed, and even its complete, physical form. Perhaps the most sinister aspect of the Skinwalker is that it has the ability to supernaturally infect people with deadly diseases and life-threatening illnesses. Strangely, on more than a few occasions, those who have found themselves in the direct, close presence of a Skinwalker have –in mere days – succumbed to very rare medical conditions. Precisely how the Skinwalker can perform such a hostile thing remains unknown. It is, however, worth noting that the Skinwalker is said to have an expert knowledge of medicine, both ancient and modern. No wonder Native Americans avoid them at all costs. And it is not just people who can fall victim to this dangerous beast. Animals – very often, farm animals – have also become the targets of these multi-formed creatures.

For example, cattle-mutilations, that reached their peak in the 1970s – but which are still occasionally reported to this very day – are believed by some, certain Native Americans to be the work of crazed Skinwalkers. The approach of the creatures is to remove organs and blood from cattle, specifically to use it in yet further rites and rituals designed to enhance its paranormal powers to even greater degrees. This may not be quite as strange, or as unlikely, as it might seem: between 1975 and 1978, police officers investigating dozens of cattle mutilation events in New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona found that many such attacks had specifically occurred on Native American reservations – something which is most assuredly food for thought. Of course, there is one critical issue we have yet to touch upon: namely, why would anyone even want to become a Skinwalker in the first place? The answer, as you may have already deduced, is not a good one. Adopting the guise of an animal can, quite literally, allow a person to get away with murder. After all, if the target of the Skinwalker is violently slaughtered by a rampaging bear or a savage wolf, who would even – or ever – dream of the possibility that the beast was actually a transformed human? Almost certainly not many, to be sure!

As for why the Skinwalker issue is steeped in so much mystery – despite it being the subject of a bestselling book – it is chiefly because Native Americans fear that if they speak openly on the matter, it may well lead those same Skinwalkers to target them. I found this out for myself, to a graphic level, in August of 2010. I was out in the Californian desert, specifically in Joshua Tree, where a spate of very savage attacks on animals occurred, amid claims that a shapeshifting Skinwalker was the culprit. Vital organs were removed from the animals, as was blood, in massive amounts. My reason for being there was no coincidence: I had been hired by the VH1 channel to be filmed for a documentary on the phenomenon for the now-long-defunct show, Real and Chance: The Legend Hunters. On the second day of shooting, the film crew and I headed out to a local animal sanctuary – a place that specialized in caring for, and rehabilitating, wolves. I quickly learned just how much the Skinwalker phenomenon was feared in and around Joshua Tree. And, in all likelihood, it still is. I also saw for myself a deep reluctance on the part of the staff of the sanctuary to ever utter that dreaded word. By now, you know the word I mean.

SpaceX begins installing ‘Mechazilla’ arms designed to catch Starship rockets

After a busy few weeks spent attaching Mechazilla’s two rocket-catching arms to a carriage-like backbone, SpaceX has begun the process of installing the integrated structure on Starbase’s ~450 ft (~135m) tall Starship ‘launch tower’.

Once complete, SpaceX will have created a first-of-its-kind launch tower designed to stack and manipulate Starships and Super Heavy boosters in far worse conditions than cranes can tolerate and catch both rocket stages out of mid-air. Referred to internally as ‘chopsticks,’ the giant pair of steel arms will join a third ‘quick disconnect’ (QD) arm tasked with stabilizing Super Heavy during Starship installation and feeding the reusable upper stage power, comms links, and some 1200 tons (~2.65M lb) of propellant.

Together, they will enable SpaceX to attempt Starship’s first orbital test flights and, perhaps one day, help the next-generation rocket launch in almost any weather and achieve unprecedentedly rapid reusability. But first, SpaceX needs to finish installing and rigging the massive structure.

Beginning on August 29th after less than three months of assembly, SpaceX installed Starship’s QD arm on the launch tower. About a month later, the QD arm was mostly finished off with the installation of a claw-like grabber meant to stabilize Super Heavy and is now only missing its namesake quick-disconnect (an actuating device that will connect Starship to the pad and rapidly disconnect at liftoff). Assembly of the last three major components of Mechazilla – a carriage-like structure and two giant arms – began in July and, much like the tower’s QD arm, wrapped up about three months later.

On October 6th, SpaceX began combining those three main parts by flipping the carriage – a bit like a spine and ribcage with ‘skates’ that attach to rails on the launch tower’s legs – vertical and staging it on a temporary support structure. Both ‘chopsticks’ were then flipped into the correct orientation and moved into position with separate cranes for installation on the carriage/backbone. From start to finish, that process took around 9-10 days and culminated with the installation of two giant cylindrical pins with built-in bearings on October 14th and 15th. By the 17th, both cranes had detached from the assembled Mechazilla arms and carriage were, leaving it precisely balanced against the support structure and more or less freestanding.

Just a few days later, after a last-second attempt on October 19th was called off as night fell, SpaceX tried again on the 20th and completed the first step of installing Mechazilla’s catch arms on the launch tower without apparent issue. Likely weighing several hundred tons, Starbase’s largest crane lifted the massive structure up and over an adjacent launch mount and then carefully inched it closer to the tower. Prior to the lift, SpaceX technicians staged 12 ‘skates’ on three of the tower’s four legs – two upper and two lower skates per leg.

Once the carriage was in the right position, workers were able to wrap its upper arms around the tower and began connecting the carriage to those skates with several more large pins. It’s unclear how much progress was made in the hours after the lift but it appears that the carriage has been attached to maybe four or five of six upper skates. Work continued well after nightfall, meaning that it will likely only take a few days to complete all 12 connections. However, even after all skates are installed, the carriage, arms, and skates will still be hanging by crane or winch.

To truly install the structure on the tower, SpaceX will have to finish installing and rigging thousands of feet of steel cable that – via a complex system of pulleys – will connect to powered ‘drawworks’ that will support the carriage and catch arms and lift the assembly up and down the tower like an elevator car. The catch arms and carriage will also need to be mated with a giant ‘cable carrier’ (already staged on the tower) that will connect the structure to ground and control systems.

Artificial Muscles Robotic Arm Full Range of Motion + Static Strength Test (V11)

We have achieved strong, fast, power-dense, high-efficiency, biomimetic, soft, safe, clean, organic and affordable robotic technology. Dumbbell weights 7 kg (15,6 lb) , forearm with hand only 1 kg (2,2 lb).

This artificial muscles robotic arm is operated by water and consumes 200W at peak. We invent and produce our electro-hydraulic mini valves to have complete controllability of speed contraction and compress the whole powering system (for a full body) inside humanlike robot torso.

At this moment our robotic arm is operated only by a half of artificial muscles when compared to a human body. Strongest finger-bending muscle still missing. Fingers are going to move from left to right but they don’t have muscles yet. Metacarpal and left-to-right wrist movement are also blocked. This version has a position sensor in each joint but they are yet to be software-implemented. We are going to add everything mentioned above in the next prototype.

The movement sequence was written and sent by simple commands to a hand. We wish to develop a platform for reinforcement learning purposes, prosthetic arms and ultimately a full humanoid robots to serve people for fun, as butlers, cleaners, chauffeurs, construction workers (also in space) and even achieve human immortallity by transplanting the brain into the machine.

We increased the durability of the muscles to operate under higher pressures and sustain much more life cycles. Next step is to add the second half of the forearm muscles to achieve all of degrees of freedom of a human arm.

Aliens Created Bitcoin In Order To Help Humanity Evolve Faster! Oct 2021, UFO Sighting News.

 

Wow, and Bitcoin just hit its ATH...all time high. Even companies and governments are considering it more seriously. No government can regulate it, control it. It's bigger than that, because aliens created it. 

 

This may sound crazy, but I have a thought for you guys. I was watching Logan Pauls podcast with Andrei Jikh about Bitcoin and how magnificent it is and it really made me think. Everything about Bitcoin is so utterly perfect. There are no real flaws in its idea and there’s no real way to exploit it, something which is very rare in most human created concepts and ideas. They also talk about how this is the next step in human civilization which I agree with. That could be linked to the theory that aliens are waiting for us to develop both technologically and morally before contacting us. Bitcoin was actually planted by aliens to help accelerate our learning curve! Yes you can argue Vitalik Buterin created Ethereum but he used the idea of Bitcoin and what it is to then create his own ideology. It just completely baffles me that a human could create such a genius concept that cannot be faulted, cannot be exploited even by the power of governments etc and yet he or she has remained anonymous this whole time. Food for thought. Bitcoin...100% proof alien technology is right here on earth and anyone can get some.

Thus...they are so old of a race that they probably lost most data of events millions of years earlier. We as humans don't even know 100% what happened a hundred years ago, a thousand years ago...one hundred thousand years ago. We are lost for answers...aliens...look for developing civilizations like ours and watch, record and thus learn about their own earliest evolution.

Triangle UFO filmed over Lehi, Utah

Strange triangular-shaped formation was filmed in the sky above Lehi, UT back in March 2021.

Witness report: 

I filmed this while I was in Lehi, Utah. The area I saw the objects was near the Provo canyon entrance, which so happens to be the general direction you go to get to Skinwalker ranch. I did add a filter to this video to try and make the lights visible a bit more. I do have some other more recent footage of what appeared to be a cigar shaped craft flying very slowly above a mountain peak behind my house. In person, you could clearly make out what seemed to be an electrical field around the craft, almost looked like a plasma. Absolutely blew my mind!

Former CIA official says aliens live under the moon’s surface

The Moon has generated many controversies over the years, but very few from any US government official. A former CIA pilot has stated that our satellite is inhabited by aliens living under the lunar surface.

John Lear , a former CIA pilot, stated that the United States government has information about the Moon and its subterranean inhabitants

Specifically, “the population is 250 million gray aliens , where there are laboratories where they do genetic experiments.”

Lear, one of the greatest popularizers of the 80s and 90s, has always denounced secret information related to aliens.

He said that “in 1953, an alien ship crashed on Earth, capturing an alien known to EBE 3 “.

“This being later helped the US government build some spacecraft with advanced technology.”

Another surprising statement that Lear has given is about planet Earth .

The popularizer said that “Earth is actually a prison planet that serves as a kind of prison institution.”

US Submarine Strikes Unknown Object

Last week, the USS Connecticut ran into a "mystery object" while submerged in the Indo-Pacific region. The nuclear-powered Seawolf-class submarine sustained damage and 11 crew members were injured in the underwater collision. Officials have not yet released details about the object nor the nature of the attack submarine's mission. According to a statement by the US Pacific Fleet Public Affairs, the severity of the damage is being evaluated, and an investigation into the strange incident will be initiated.

Spontaneous Human Combustion: A Burning Mystery

For some time, people have debated whether or not human beings could spontaneously combust, or burst into flames, without an external heat source. However, over the past 300 years, there have been more than 200 reports of such incidents occurring. This phenomenon is called spontaneous human combustion (or SHC) and it occurs when a person supposedly burns to death by a fire believed to have started from within the body of that person. Of the hundreds of accounts on record, there seems to be a similar pattern.

A solitary victim is often consumed by flame, usually inside his or her home. However, the extremities, such as the hands, feet, or parts of the leg, often remaining intact. The torso and head are charred beyond recognition and, in rare cases, the internal organs of a victim remain unscathed.

The room the victim was in usually shows little to no signs of fire, aside from a greasy residue left on furniture and walls. Often there is a sweet, smoky smell in the room where the incident has occurred.

Historic Cases of Spontaneous Human Combustion

The history of SHC can be traced back to medieval literature and some even believe there are several passages in the Bible making reference to it.

In 1641, the Danish physician, Thomas Bartholin (1616-1680), described the death of Polonus Vorstius in his book Historiarum Anatomicarum Rariorum , a collection of strange medical phenomena.

Vorstius was an Italian knight, who, while at his home in Milan, Italy in 1470, drank some strong wine and started vomiting flames before bursting into fire. This is considered to be the first recorded account of spontaneous combustion in human history.

In 1673, French author Jonas Dupont, published a book entitled De Incendiis Corporis Humani Spontaneis, which is a collection of cases and studies on the subject of spontaneous human combustion.

One famous incident from France dates back to 1725, when a Parisian innkeeper was awoken by the smell of smoke and discovered that his wife, Nicole Millet, had been reduced to ashes while lying on a straw pallet, which itself had been untouched by the flames.

All that remained of Madame Millet, a chronic alcoholic, was her skull, a few bones from her back, and lower legs. Wooden items found around her were undamaged. Her husband was charged with murder and initially found guilty.

The Wick Effect: A Scientific Explanation for SHC

There are several theories as to what causes SHC apart from the above-mentioned alcoholism. These include: flammable body fat, acetone buildup, static electricity, methane, bacteria, stress, and even divine intervention.

The theory explaining SHC which is most approved by science is called the “wick effect.” It likens the body of an SHC victim to a candle. A candle is composed of a wick on the inside surrounded by a wax made of flammable fatty acids. Fire ignites the wick and the fatty wax keeps it burning.

In the human body, the body fat acts as the flammable substance, while the victim's clothing or hair is the wick. A cigarette might set fire to a person’s clothing then split their skin, releasing subcutaneous fat, which in turn is absorbed into the burned clothing. As the fat melts from the heat, it soaks into the clothing, acting as a “wax-like substance” to keep the "wick" burning. The burning continues for as long as there is fuel available. Proponents of this theory say it explains why victims' bodies are destroyed yet their surroundings are barely burned.

There is More to Consider About This Phenomenon

Author and biology professor Brian J Ford offers another explanation for SHC. He says that an acetone build-up is likely at the root of this bizarre phenomenon:

“When a person is ill they sometimes naturally produce traces of acetone in the body, and acetone is highly inflammable. I experimented with scale model humans using pig flesh that had been marinated in acetone; they burn like incendiary bombs. Alcoholism can cause people to produce acetone, as can many diseases. My conclusion is that an unwell individual produces high levels of acetone which accumulates in the fatty tissues and can be ignited, perhaps by a static spark or a cigarette.”

Something that should be taken into consideration is the fact that cases of SHC almost always occur indoors, to lone humans, and often near sources of heat. For example, there are almost no known instances of spontaneous human combustion happening in the middle of the street.

Another point to consider is that the phenomenon only seems to happen to humans, there are no known reported cases of animals suddenly catching fire.

Also, the "wick effect" doesn’t seem to fully explain why the victims remain motionless during the episode of combustion and burning, nor does it provide enough explanation why surrounding furniture is so often unaffected by the fire.

Furthermore, believers in SHC point to the fact that the human body has to reach a temperature of roughly 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit (1,648 degrees Celsius) in order to be reduced to complete ashes, which has been the case with many of the victims found. By comparison, cremating a human body is carried out at a temperature between 1400 and 1800 degrees Fahrenheit (982 degrees Celsius).

Modern Spontaneous Human Combustion Cases

Cases of SHC aren’t simply the stuff of old wives tales or confined strictly to books of antiquity. For instance, a more modern example took place in Ireland in 2010.

The burned body of an elderly man was found lying with his head near the fireplace of his apartment in a room that had virtually no fire damage. There were no burn marks on the floor, on the ceiling directly above him, or anywhere else in the room. An Irish coroner would later rule that spontaneous combustion was the cause of the death of 76-year-old Michael Faherty.

Another modern case of possible SHC occurred in 2017. The Independent reported that a 70-year-old man suddenly burst into flames “in unexplained circumstances in a London street.” The Fire Brigade’s investigation “found no evidence of an “accelerant” that would have spread the flames” and the man’s death was treated as “unexplained.” Could this be another case of spontaneous human combustion?

Many people believe that there is much about the human body which makes it unique among earthly beings and there are aspects of humans that are still unknown to us. One such feature is the phenomenon of spontaneous human combustion, which remains an unsolved mystery .

Aliens disabled missiles in a powerful warning to humanity, claims a former US Airforce Captain.

Captain Robert Salas says a UFO switched off ten independently run missiles on March 24, 1967 because extraterrestrial life does not want us to use nuclear weapons.

Salas who recalls the unexplained incident in Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, US, adds that the world's intelligence community has covered up decades of alien activity.

He says and his commander at a secret underground launch control facility, were ordered sign a vow of silence regarding the bizarre UFO encounter.

Salas told The Sun Online : "I was in charge of ten nuclear missiles at the time when a UFO came over and hovered over our facility and while it was hovering there it was seen by all our guards.

Siege of top-secret Area 51 began as a joke. Officials prepared to use deadly force in response.

When a UFO enthusiast posted an event on Facebook about "storming" the military base known as Area 51, he meant it as a joke. However, it was no laughing matter to federal and state law enforcement, who readied a lethal response to prevent revelers from breaching the off-limits area, records recently revealed. 

Area 51 is a U.S. Air Force installation in southern Nevada's Groom Lake, a salt flat about 80 miles (129 kilometers) northwest of Las Vegas. For decades, the base's remote location and restricted access have fueled speculation about military officials performing secret experiments on extraterrestrials there, and storing evidence of alien visitors and UFOs.

The general public is barred from visiting Area 51. But during the summer of 2019, a Facebook event titled "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us" (now deleted) enticed nearly 2 million people to sign up for a raid on the base to take place on Sept. 20. The massive scale of the proposed event raised alarms at local and federal levels, according to government communications that were recently obtained by Rolling Stone. Dozens of law enforcement agencies mobilized and readied responses to the proposed onslaught, including "automated deadly force countermeasures," Rolling Stone reported Oct. 17.

The plan for "Storm Area 51", according to the Facebook post, was for attendees to gather in the Nevada desert near Area 51, charge the gates at sunrise and then, once inside, "see them aliens" and possibly conduct an extraterrestrial rescue operation, Live Science previously reported. Matty Roberts, then a 20-year-old college student in Bakersfield, California, created the post on June 27, and claimed "it was totally a joke from the get-go," Roberts told the BBC on Sept. 13, 2019.

But law enforcement agencies weren't amused; and they prepared accordingly.

"A certain portion of the participants may be armed and could expect armed conflict," read the Nevada Department of Public Safety Investigation Division's operational plan for the "Storm Area 51" event. The 2019 document was obtained by the nonpartisan government transparency group Property of the People and then shared with Rolling Stone. Hundreds of pages detailed law enforcement agencies' plans, situation reports, descriptions of transport for Area 51 employees, and maps of all entrances, Rolling Stone reported.

The document also described several unnamed YouTubers' attempts to track employees as they entered and left the base, according to Rolling Stone.

Even if most of the "Storm Area 51" attendees weren't seriously planning to invade a restricted military site, "there is a potential for domestic and foreign terrorist groups to utilize this event to test the security of sensitive national security sites by infiltrating the groups planning to storm the facility," the plan read. Harsh conditions in the Nevada desert — the threat of wildfires, lack of water and extreme temperature fluctuations — could worsen an already volatile situation, sowing panic and increasing the possibility of "mass casualties," according to the report.

In the end, online interest in raiding the base petered out, and Roberts canceled "Storm Area 51" with just nine days to spare. As an alternative, he urged people to instead visit "Alienstock," a UFO-celebrating festival in Las Vegas; nonetheless, a few thousand people still gathered in the town of Rachel, Nevada, about a 20-minute drive from Area 51's entrance, on the appointed day, The Guardian reported on Sept. 24, 2019. 

However, most of the assembled throng were busy documenting their presence for viewers on YouTube and Instagram, and none broke down the gates to find hidden evidence of UFOs, according to the Guardian.

This is Not a UFO, Just a Fiery Meteoroid Streaking Across the Michigan and Detroit Metropolitan Area Sky

Did you notice something in the sky last night? Well, if you live in the West Michigan or Detroit metropolitan area, a fiery meteoroid streaked across the night sky at around 12:45 am local time. American Meteor Society (AMS) received over 80 reports of fireball sightings by 5 am this morning, and those who witnessed it said the meteoroid had a glowing train following close behind. Read more for two videos and additional information.

A bulk of the sightings came from residents in the southeast Michigan area, but also include Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and more. One thing to note is that the Orionid Meteor Shower does peak on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. This is the second meteor shower of October, and is expected to peak in the early morning hours, perfectly coinciding with the full moon, which is set to occur at 10:57 am EDT.
