Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings were reported over California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Washington. Sightings of UFOs were also reported in Australia, Canada, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research. I believe the God of the universe has spread life throughout the cosmos and UFO's are visiting us in ever-increasing numbers.

Africa Giants

Pravda--A team of anthropologists found gigantic creatures buried in the jungle near the city of Kigali Rwanda (Central Africa).

The remains belong to gigantic creatures that bear little resemblance to humans. Head of research group believes that they could be visitors from another planet who died as a result of a catastrophe.

According to the scientists, they were buried at least 500 years ago. At first, researchers thought that they came across the remains of ancient settlements, but no signs of human life have been found nearby.

The 40 communal graves had approximately 200 bodies in them, all perfectly preserved. The creatures were tall - approximately 7 feet. Their heads were disproportionately large and they had no mouth, nose or eyes. The anthropologists believe that the creatures were members of an alien landing, possibly destroyed by some terrestrial virus to which they had no immunity. However, no traces of the landing of the spacecraft or its fragments were discovered.

This is not the first such finding. In the summer of 1937 a group of Chinese scientists led by Professor Chi Putei surveyed the caves of Mount Bayan-Kara-Ula. Inside they found skeletons with excessively large heads and puny bodies. Nearby there were 176 stone plates. In the center of each plate there was a hole from which a spiral groove spread out to the perimeter with some characters on it. In addition, the cave walls were covered with pictures of the rising sun, moon and stars, with many painted dots or small items, slowly approaching the mountains and the earth's surface.

Experts in deciphering ancient written characters have been puzzled over the disclosure of the secret spirals from the cave Bayan-Kara-Ula for two decades. Finally, the professor of Beijing University Zum Umniu deciphered several inscriptions. The grooved letters narrated that approximately 12 thousand years ago some flying objects crashed in these mountains. Chinese archaeologists found a mention of the peoples who lived in the mountainous caves of Bayan-Kara-Ula.

A corpse of another "alien" was found by Turkish cavers. A mummy of the ice age was resting in a sarcophagus made of crystalline material. The height of the humanoid male creature did not exceed 1 meter 20 centimeters, his skin was light green, and he had large transparent wings on his sides.

According to the researchers, in spite of the unusual appearance the creature looked more like a person rather than an animal. His nose, lips, ears, hands, feet, nails, were very similar to human. Only his eyes were very different, three times bigger than those of a human, and colorless, like reptile's eyes.

Not that long ago in one of the ancient Egyptian tombs a mummy of a man 2.5 meters tall was found. It had no nose or ears, and its mouth was very wide and had no tongue. According to archaeologist Gaston de Villars, the age of the Mummy is approximately 4 thousand years. It was buried as an Egyptian nobleman - carefully mummified and surrounded by servants, food and art objects designed for the afterlife. However, as it was discovered, not all objects around the finding belong to the Egyptian or even Earth's culture. For example, among the finds was a round polished metal disk covered with strange characters, a costume made of metal with the remnants of something resembling plastic shoes, and many stone tablets filled with images of stars, planets and strange machines. The Shrine where a strange mummy was found also looks unusual. The burial was made of the material unknown in antiquity. The stone was literally carved from the rock so that the walls were smooth, like polished marble. It looked as if it was cut by a laser. Incidentally, the stone's surface was fused. The tomb was decorated with a substance resembling lead.

However, the "alien" theory is not the only one. According to some researchers, the "giants" and "dwarfs" could be a mere side branch of humanity that once lived on Earth, but for some reason became extinct. NOTE: The above image is a rendering. Famed NASA Astronaut confirms Extraterrestrials Exist

Clark C. McClelland, former ScO, U.S. Space Shuttle Fleet writes,

"Space Shuttle Columbia during STS-80 took a crew of five astronauts into a 17 day, 15 hour and 54 minute mission around the earth, the longest flight in the history of this vehicle. During this lengthy flight a very strange event occurred that even had crewman Dr. Story Musgrave unable to explain what he observed from the shuttle windows.

A large disc shaped object appeared below the Columbia. The shuttle was approximately, 190 Nautical miles high.

The disc was first observed to miraculously appear from out of nowhere, flying through the clouds below and progressing from right to left as the astronauts stared in utter amazement. The outer rim of the craft appeared to be rotating counter-clockwise. It was very large (compared to common space junk and breakaway ice), approximately 50 to 150 feet in diameter.

Astronaut Dr. Story Musgrave, a Payload Specialist on the STS-80 Mission, was interviewed following the flight. As he viewed a videotape of the incident which showed lightning flashes in the atmosphere, the city lights of Denver, Colorado and other earthbound sights, he stated: "I don't know what it is. Whether it's a washer, debris, ice particles, I don't know. But it's characteristic of the thousands of things which I've seen. What is not so characteristic is it appears to come from no where. You would think that if it's facing the dark side or facing a side towards you which is not reflecting the sun, you would think that you would see something there. It's really impressive."

During an earlier interview, Dr. Musgrave stated he attempted to communicate with ET life forms during each of his six missions. Now that's an astronaut with a lot of courage. Dr. Musgrave retired after this flight from NASA. Since then he's been spreading his considered opinion that alien life exists. When Musgrave speaks of this, it's no great leap for one to assume he's admitting knowledge of alien life. As the final slide of a "Grey" ET was shown during a recent astronomy presentation by Dr. Musgrave, he made this surprising comment: "These guys are real... I guarantee it!" At the MUFON conference I spoke with Story and he indicated that when flying in space on the shuttle it is very difficult to tell the distance to an object. "Many so called UFOs are actually much closer to the shuttle than they appear and are relatively mundane objects such as ice or small washers. He gave a great speech and received a standing applause.

Researcher Claims UFOs Were at F.E. Warren Missile Sites

At the MUFON Conference I had a nice talk with Captain Silas who was one of six former Air Force officers and a former enlisted man stepped forward in Washington last September to say that they'd seen or had been directly involved with UFO sightings at nuclear missile sites. These sightings began at the dawn of the Cold War and continued through the 1970s. At this press conference, organized by UFO researcher Robert Hastings, these men told the media that they were encouraged not to speak of these sightings by their superiors, and in some cases, were required to sign secrecy oaths. Robert Silas who I talked with on Sunday, told me, " He was able to obtain formally classified data about the sighting and cold now tell what happened on March 16, 1967, he was 60 feet below ground working a 24-hour shift monitoring a launch-control center outfitted with 10 nuclear Minuteman missiles. "I got a call from the topside guard, telling me they were watching some strange lights flying around in the sky, making odd maneuvers. They didn't think they were airplanes because they were going very fast, turning on a dime and not making a bit of noise." Farewell to a Researcher: Jorge Anfruns (1944-2011)

State of New Hampshire Erects Historical Marker for Betty and Barney Hill

Many states might shy away from immortalizing its UFO history. But the State of New Hampshire is known for its fiercely independent people and its "live free or die" motto. On July 20, 2011, it erected a historical marker to commemorate the September 19-20, 1961 close encounter and "lost" time of Portsmouth residents Betty and Barney Hill. The marker is located next to the highway in front of Cabin # 20 at the Indian Head Resort in North Lincoln and across the street from the granite stone face called Indian Head....

I spoke with Kathleen Marden at the UFO Conference in Irvine, California last weekend and she has been successful in immortalizing or Aunt Betty Hill. She writes, "Many states might shy away from immortalizing its UFO history. But the State of New Hampshire is known for its fiercely independent people and its "live free or die motto. I, as the Hills' niece and trustee of Betty's estate, then worked with the state over the next 3-4 years to complete the process. Employees at the Department of Cultural Resources called upon me to suggest appropriate text for the marker—a challenge in and of itself. Every statement had to be footnoted and supported by ample evidence that it was true and accurate. In all, the wording for the 12 line plaque had 20 footnotes and 28 sources listed in its bibliography.

The final wording approved by the state agency reads as follows:

On the night of September 19-20, 1961, Portsmouth, NH couple Betty and Barney Hill experienced a close encounter with an unidentified flying object and two hours of "lost time while driving south on Rte 3 near Lincoln. They filed an official Air Force Project Blue Book report of a brightly-lit cigar-shaped craft the next day, but were not public with their story until it was leaked in the Boston Traveler in 1965. Spain 's Cryptozoology Dragons

Spain isn't often associated with dragons " beyond the dragons of heraldry on the shields of Castilian nobles " but Catalonia also has a tradition of dragons that forms part of not only its own folklore, but the Christian tradition as a whole: who hasn't heard of St. Jordi (St. George) and his dragon? George of Cappadocia, a Roman soldier in the retinue of the Diocletian, was invoked on numerous occasions by the royalty of Aragon to tilt the balance of battle. He bestowed his help upon the King Pedro of Aragon during the siege of Huesca, and during the conquest of Valencia by James the Conqueror, St. George appeared "with many knights of paradise who turned the tide of battle, in which not one Christian was slain." Sightings in the United States

California Metallic Oval

WESTLAKE VILLAGE -- I was driving to work, stuck in traffic. I was traveling north on the 101 freeway, and something in the sky caught my eye. I thought it might be a small white plane, but then the sun shined on it, as it must have tilted a bit, and it had a silver metallic surface. It was oval shaped, and i kept my eye on it as it traveled from south to north for about 3 to 5 seconds, then it just vanished into thin air! I kept looking and looking for it, but it was gone! This is my second sighting in three weeks, and i am stunned!

MOUNT SHASTA -- I was at a park in Mt. Shasta, California. My boyfriend and I all went to the park so that we could see the volcano up close and take some good pictures. I was unaware of the UFOs at the time of the park visit and had no sighting of them while I was physically at the park in the town of Mt. Shasta.
I first noticed the UFO objects in my pictures a week or so after the actual park trip when I was zooming into them using my computer. I noticed that many (mostly all) of the pictures that I took directly of Mt. Shasta contained little dots that were somewhat hard to notice at first glance when the pictures were not zoomed-in upon. The dots in the pictures are not in consistent spots and seem as if they were moving as I was taking the pictures. I took the pictures over a span of about 5 to 10 minutes and was on my way without knowing that I had even taken photos of the said UFOs.

I immediately thought that the pictures contained UFOs when I began to realize how they were present in almost every picture I had taken while in Mt. Shasta. I have to admit that I did have the thought to "look for UFOs" within the pictures on 7/9/2011 and that thought was what even prompted me to look at the pictures on that day in the first place-- so it is quite ironic that I was able to find what I was looking for. Colorado Metallic Triangle

PUEBLO -- Two witnesses watched a UFO shoot "straight up into the air" after following it at high speeds along Highway 96 according to June 11, 2011, testimony. The object was reported as being silent and having red and purple flashing lights. The witness stated, "The craft was about 900 to 1000 feet in the air at a speed of 150 plus mile per hour and the red and purple lights were flashing on and off at a fast rate which my friend and I thought were very odd. This craft didn't act nor did it look like an airplane or helicopter." I drove 120 mph chasing the craft, and 110 mph to stay with this craft. My friend asked me to catch up to this object so that he could take a clear photo of it, so I sped up to 120 mph and yet I still couldn't catch up with it. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Connecticut Lights

Waterbury -- After watching the fireworks at Municipal Stadium on July 4, 2011, which ended about 10 pm, I and my husband had stayed outside to listen to the neighbor's fireworks and make sure nothing came at our home. At about 11 PM, he came inside and said you have to see what is in the sky. I went with him outside and we watched four things in the sky above. They were moving very slowly in a formation. One in front, two on the outside and one in back. They were yellow/orange color. I went inside to get our camera and my husband hollered - three disappeared just like that and as I got outside the last one was almost gone. We have never seen anything like this before. Florida Five Discs

Little Gasparilla Island " We saw five bright orange disc/orbs moving north along coastline into the clouds. Hundreds were sitting on beach watching fireworks about 9 pm. There were four in back and one in the front. They came at a steady pace. We thought they might be some sort of fireworks, but they came up the shoreline and didn't weave. The light in the objects was a steady self contained bright orange. Everyone watched them until they disappeared behind a cloud. We did get a few on a cell phone camera. When you zoom into the thing it is a bright orange with red along the edges that were very strange. There was a man videoing the fireworks with a large camera, it should be on his. It was just bizarre how many there were and how they moved up the coastline at a steady pace. The wind was very low and the firework smoke was hanging in. In our group were many professionals and we all just sat and watched the orbs come up to the fireworks and disappear. They were pretty high up in the sky. Delaware Discs

NEW CASTLE -- My wife and I and daughter watched fireworks from a shopping plaza on July 16, 2011. We noticed fireworks in the distance, and made a guess they were being launched from Hagley Museum, a notable DuPont family estate.

Upon greater inspection, we both noticed lights - disc shaped - bright and discernible - moving in formation - at least four of them hovering a great distance above the fireworks. After the show, the illuminated objects stayed and moved around in the evening sky for a significant period of time. At this point, other people exiting the restaurants in the shopping plaza began looking up and pointing to the sky.

We discussed that they may have been "lanterns" however, they moved in a synchronized fashion - almost military - and were way above the fireworks. In addition, we reside in an extremely busy airport traffic area just south of the Philadelphia International Airport. This was something different in the night sky.

Florida Green Light

West Palm Beach -- I was on the Southern Blvd. Bridge fishing on July 27, 2011, at 11 PM when I saw a glare of light. I saw a really bright green light right above me. The light was still for about 4 to 5 seconds. It was as green and perfect as a traffic light 50 feet in front of you. It was nerve wrecking and I had enough time to say what the heck is that? Then it just took off so fast. I stayed in shock and couldn't talk. It was so amazing and so close to me and it was so fast. Illinois Orange Lights

CHICAGO " I was driving west on Devon Avenue and, noticed a orange star that was moving told my wife to pull over looked at it fly erratically for 5 minuets ]i thought it was a bag with a candle in it to make it fly up but when it went in the clouds i new it wasn't to high and it was flying to fast i tries to take a picture but my camera was full this just happen it was flying west not plain no was helicopter no way it flew sort of zigzag from the north coming south and then west Thanks to MUFON CMS

Frankfort -- It was Saturday July 30, 20117-30-2011 about 10:30 PM. I saw about 20-50 Orange Lights (Orange like Fire to the Eye) moving From South to North. The lights moved fast with no sound. The lights appeared to be at real high altitude. Basically all were flying in a single file formation. The sighting lasted for about 1/2 hour. Massachusetts Disc and Triangle

Lawrence -- I started sky watching at around 2 AM on July 27, 2011, and after only five minutes I caught sight of a triangle formation traveling at a good clip. When one of the corners separated while leaving the other two stationary after doing a couple of large arcs it left the area. I couldn't figure out the shapes of the crafts, but I had a good feeling it was going to be a good morning. My wife who thinks I am crazy never goes out viewing finally gave in and decided to spend some time with me. She got the surprise of her life when two craft approached us at about 40 MPH and a height of only 500 feet. Two beautiful saucers decided to park almost directly overhead. One was 70 feet and the other about 30 feet across and they stayed till around 6 AM. This was witnessed by my 23 year old and 14 year old and some of my early rising neighbors. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Michigan Lights

Williamston -- I saw this white lightning like display on July 23, 2011, that stayed in one location seen from 11:30 PM to 12:30 AM. I heard loud firecracker like sounds for several minutes, before seeing lights flashed from the ground up in a ball. The dogs were excited and nervous. I would like to know what is going on out here.

Mississippi UFOs

Hattiesburg -- On June 12, 2011 2:14am i was standing in my dining room window smoking a cir, and i notice that we had a full moon. Then i saw three lights around the moon. I got my cell phone (LG430 Razor) and started to take picture and video .The bright light in the middle is the moon the lights on the left, right and below is the UFOs. I knew what the object were because i have seen this many time (2010&2011).My family and friends have seen this; i have more picture & video. The last time i saw these object was today July 27, 2011. The first time a saw these object i was fearful. Now i am afraid or something i really don't know how to feel, because i don't know what it is or what it wants. I JUST PRAY TO MY FATHER GOD.

New York Star Like Object

BELLROSE, QUEENS -- I was driving home, after dropping my girlfriend home. We had just come from a night out in Brooklyn and Manhattan. I was driving on the Grand Central Parkway heading east at 3:45 AM on June 19, 2011. When I noticed this bright star like object in the sky to my right. It looked like it was moving, but I'm not sure if it was to me being in motion or not. So I kept monitoring this bright lit thing in the sky. I was trying to distinguish if it was a star or a plane. When I merged onto the Cross Island Parkway south bound, I decided to pull over on the side of the parkway at the Union Turnpike exit ramp besides the parkway. I could see this bright lit thing to my left that I observed for about three minutes before driving off. It was not moving so I knew it wasn't a plane. Another thing, I took notice of, was that it wasn't pulsating like a star.

It just seemed to stand out, because there was no other stars, or clouds in the sky. It also seemed bigger then a usual star, and maybe not as far away as a star. I decided to take a picture at 3:49 AM and to my surprise when I got home minutes later and looked at the picture, it had a shape to it. I've never had a sighting before, but I don't look up as often as some people do. Thanks to MUFON CMS system.

Ohio Rectangle

Toledo " I was driving and my friend was in the passenger seat when she asked, "What's the bright light in the sky? I said, "Probably a light on top of a building. But I realized it wasn't a plane and it lights didn't resemble any kind of landing lights. It goes over us and she freaks out and tells me to look out my window. I look and know this is not a plane because it was way too quiet and had an upper deck with a light and a horizontal row of 4 or 5 super bright lights on the front. It had a red blinking light on the bottom or back. She said, "It had three lights, one on each corner and loose S shaped arms going from the center with those lights on each end. In the center there was a circle of lights and she said it was so low to the ground she could see the lights moving across the ground towards us, and at one point the center lit up as it flew off.

Cincinnati -- It was about 12:50 AM, on July 1, 2011. I and three of my cousins went outside to talk on my cell phone. We were playing around for about five minutes when one of my cousins told me to look at the red star. (I told her that the red ones were planets.) We looked at it and it was standing still, which made it seem like a star.

All of the sudden she screamed and told us all to look at it. The object was moving very slowly to the south. First, it was just one reddish orange dot moving. All of the sudden we saw four dots arranged like they were at the corners of a square.

Oregon Triangles

Northern Oregon -- These are photographs taken by my wife's friend on May 5, 2011, who is not a big believer in Ufology but I am. When I saw the photographs I asked if I could have them. To me it looks like a fleet flying in formation and are cloaked in clouds. I want to know if there have been other reports such as this, and if it is a known technology possessed by the ETI's (ability to create and mimic movement of clouds as a disguise) or if this is more commonly known to be used by the ARV's? Or is this just a phenomenon recorded and understood as a cloud formation in our atmosphere to date? Thanks to MUFON CMS

Washington Silver Spheres

GRESHAM -- I was standing in my backyard showing my dad where I had actually seen a UFO over the Easter weekend a few months ago. I pointed up to the sky to show him where I'd seen it, and as soon as I pointed up we saw coming from north to south on July 10, 2011.It looked like a commercial jet flanked by three grey/silver looking balls. There were two on one side and one on the other. They were flying in a very deliberate formation around the jet and keeping pace with it perfectly.

As it got closer we saw three more grey/silver balls simply appear out of thin air and completed the formation around the jet. It was a very symmetrical formation with two on either side cropped in close to the plane, and one on each side farther out wide and behind the jet. They were in a very distinct "V" shape. They all just flew over my house and then there were out of sight. That is the 3rd time in several months that I have witnessed some kind of UFO from just my own backyard. I do live close to an Air Force base. It's just north of me over the river in Vancouver, Washington. Maybe that has something to do with it? Note: The above image is a rendering. Trout Lake -- This is James Gilliland with ECETI. We saw the same ships as the Marysville, Washington sighting on July 23, 2011, at 11 PM .They flew in from the South in a triangle pattern with one trailing. They stopped, lined up and hovered over Trout Lake, WA for over ten minutes. There were 15+ witnesses. They just blinked out and disappeared. It was around 11:00 PM PST many townsfolk saw them as well. They hovered right over the Baptist church and Jonah Ministries. Of course few are talking.

Wisconsin Cigar

WAUPUN -- We came out of a program at church at 8:09 pm, on July 26, 2011, when my 9-year-old daughter spotted a bright object in the sky. We watched as we walked to our car it flew towards us, going due east, at a steady speed. The object came into view as a metallic elongated shape, like a cigar or a rectangle. It was slender seemed to sail across the sky glinting in the setting sun, and then we watched it disappear into the east towards Lake Michigan. I was able to discern what looked like two wings out either side, like a double-wing or bi-plane aircraft. But this was bigger than any double-wing aircraft I had ever seen, and higher in sky than they would normally fly.

My 7-year-old son also saw a cross-type object, and then said, "But there was another part on top of it that I didn't know how to draw, like another wing." My 9-year-old saw it as a whitish-yellowish rectangular-type object, or rather two ends to the object, with a space in the center. One object held together by something in the center. My 16-year-old saw a rectangular object, two objects flying front to back, with a space in the center where the wings would be if it were an aircraft (only she didn't see wings), and she said both sections were lit up like incandescent lights. My 7-year-old son and I both saw this cross-type object, rectangular, with the two pieces, but we could see faint "wings" on it, like a bi-wing plane. It was segmented. Others who came out of the building at the same time were also looking at this object as it moved.

A commercial jet appeared to our southeast, and banked away as it got close larger slender object. I was surprised it was so close to the ground, much closer than they usually get. The jet had suddenly appeared almost overhead, making noise, and then it was gone. We lost sight of the object about 8:13 PM, as it continued its steady path east-southeast. Wyoming Four Objects

EVANSTON -- My wife and I were camping just after Sunset I was killing time by looking for familiar constellations and stars. The North Star was clearly visible and the Big Dipper was setting while Cassiopeia was rising. About 10 pm we were located in an area of trees. After talking about the possibility of UFOs for a while we were greeted by a flying star. A few minutes later we both saw something very unusual. Four faint objects moving in a straight line appeared. We both agreed that there were four faint objects - very much like faint stars flying in formation from East to West. The formation was a line where three were exactly spaced while the forth was some distance away as if it was the fifth and the forth not visible (*space*space*space space*).

The formation appeared as I was scanning the sky - that is to say I did not see it move from the East but my eyes just noticed the movement about due north as I was scanning. My wife saw the same objects at the same time - we both watched them move from East to West for several seconds - we lost sight of the objects the same way we found them. The speed of the objects was much faster than the satellite I saw earlier in the evening - maybe three or four time as fast. The speed and direction was very deliberate, consistent and did not waiver. I did not notice any deviation of the background star field as the objects flew thought the night sky. I heard no sonic booms or any other sound that could be attributed to the objects. I could not calculate the size of any object or if they were connected. But, I can say, they fly formation better than anything else I have ever seen! They were headed somewhere for reason. That night I expected dreams of UFOs and aliens but I did no have any. I felt no concern about the objects at any time. I have a degree in astronomy and a former military pilot with extensive night experience. I would have dismissed this occurrence as 'day dreaming' if I was the only one to see the objects. But, my wife saw the exact same objects at the exact same time. The objects that my wife and I saw have no corresponding relevance to anything we have ever seen - either man, bird or beast. Thanks to MUFON CMS

RED LAKE, ALBERTA -- While painting the house roof and looking north, I glimpsed a very rapidly moving, black pipe like object moving from west to east. I did have a camera with me but didn't have the time to get a picture as the transit lasted just a few seconds. I was left with an after image of the black pipe which lasted for about fifteen to thirty seconds. On each end of the object I noticed cube like bump outs on opposite ends and on opposite sides. Medway, Kent -- My girlfriend and I were driving down a Main road close by to home on July 10, 2011, at midnight... My girlfriend noticed the object first and quickly drew my attention to it. It was in the exact same shape of a typical UFO you would see on a film. A circular saucer shape but it seemed to be 3D as clear as day. It was going at a ridiculous speed right over the main road and over the tree's, it had three bright green lights like traffic light green in formation going round the saucer shape object. It was so fast it was over in less than a minute. It was silent made no sound whatsoever.

The Air Force Remains Consistent about Roswell after 64 years

I recently obtained a copy of the June 2011, Air Force Magazine, published monthly by the Air Force Association in Arlington Virginia. The magazine is also available on the Internet at www.airforce-magazine.com

I was unaware that such a publication existed, however what created my interest was an article on pages 68-72 written by John T. Correll, who was the editor of the Air Force Magazine for 18 years, and is now a contributing editor. The title of his article is USAF and the UFOs. His lead sentence states, “The Air Force, to its lasting regret, got in on the ground floor of the UFO phenomenon.” From that first sentence on, the 4-page article is a repeat of what the Air Force has stated in July 1947, in their voluminous report of 1994, and their Case Closed report in 1997. As a long time researcher of the 1947 Roswell Incident, am I surprised---NO!!!

The article begins by talking about the Kenneth Arnold sighting June 24, 1947 in Washington State. Arnold estimated the speed of the nine disk-shaped objects he saw at 1,700 mph. Mr. Correll pointed out that although Arnold was credited with coining the term “flying saucers”, after an article appeared in the spring 1948 Fate magazine, the term had been used previously on July 8, 1947 in the Roswell Daily Record, and most afternoon newspapers west of Chicago to describe the wreckage of the Roswell Incident. The scientific consensus of Arnold’s sighting was that it was an inversion of refracted light-commonly known as a mirage.

The interest in flying saucers faded quickly according to the article, when the Air Force announced that the Roswell debris was from a high-altitude weather balloon experiment, and not mentioned again for 30 years.


Since no other government agency came forward to assume the investigation of flying saucers, the Air Force began to collect and evaluate the data with Project Sign in 1947, which evolved into Project Grudge and Project Twinkle, and finally Project Blue Book in 1952. Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, the first director of Project Blue Book is given credit in the article for being the first to use the term “Unidentified Flying Object”. In 1952 there were 1,225 sightings to investigate.

A very brief account of the 1961 Betty and Barney Hill abduction case is mentioned in the article, only referring to it as being the result of a later hypnotic regression. Stating no one had seen an actual alien until 1964, when police officer Lonnie Zamora, “chased a flame in the sky to a mesa south of town where an egg-shaped craft landed and two strange figures got out.” Stating among others who investigated the case, only Philip J. Klass is mentioned. (Ed. Note: why list serious researchers when a debunker like Klass suffices.)

Two cases that Mr. Correll mentions that involved former Presidents of the United States were Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter. In Ford’s case, 87 students at a college in Michigan saw UFOs in flight from their dormitory in 1966. When Ford requested a “full-blown” investigation by the House Armed Services Committee, the meeting lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. The report that then Governor of Georgia Jimmy Carter made to NICAP in 1969 was determined to be the planet Venus.

In an effort to end the UFO controversy the Air Force was involved in, they engaged the University of Colorado to conduct an independent investigation led by physicist Edward U. Condon. The Condon report was issued in 1968, endorsed by the National Academy of Sciences, with the conclusion, “that nothing has come from the study of UFOs in the past 21 years that has added to scientific knowledge.”
In 1969 the Air Force announced the end of Project Blue Book. Of the 12, 618 sightings reported, 701 were categorized as unidentified, mostly due to insufficient information. Correll states the records of Blue Book were shipped off and archived.


The Air Force continued to be pressured however, being accused of keeping 2 saucers and 12 alien bodies from a crashed saucer in New Mexico at Hangar 18 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. According to the article, “there is no hangar 18 at the base.” Then Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona also complained that the Air Force had denied him access to a “blue room” at Wright-Patterson where UFO artifacts were supposedly stored.

Much of the article from here on deals with the 1947 Roswell Incident, accurately stating accounts of, and briefly mentioning rancher Mack Brazel, Sheriff Wilcox, Intelligence Officer Major Jesse Marcel, and Public Relations Officer Walter Haut.

Stanton Friedman’s original interview with retired Major Marcel in 1978 is mentioned, where Marcel stated, “that in 1947, he had been ordered not to talk about the true nature of the debris, which he described as nothing from this earth.”
In 1978, the National Enquirer tabloid ran an article about Marcel, and in 1980 Berlitz and Moore published their book, “The Roswell Incident.” With one exception the witnesses are accused of repeating accounts they had heard from others.

The author mentions the “Majestic 12” documents, and the fact that many Ufologist believed that Majestic 12 member, Secretary of Defense James Forrestals’ suicide in 1949 was a cover story and, “the reason for his murder was that he was no longer trusted by those within the security services who had control over the captured saucer.” Correll claims the Majestic 12 story has several flaws, including being typed on a typewriter not in use until 1962, formats and date styles were wrong for the period. The National Archives acknowledged a document was in its files but did not know how it got there.

A great deal of space is devoted to Ballard Funeral Home Mortician Glenn Dennis’ account of his experience. Stanton Friedman interviewed Glenn Dennis in 1989. Dennis referred to the redheaded Captain, (or Colonel), who had him ejected from the base hospital, after he encountered a nurse friend who was visibly upset. The nurse disappeared from Roswell within a day, and Glenn Dennis was unable to get in touch with her despite attempts to help by the chief nurse Captain “Slatts.

When the Air Force heard about the General Accounting Office investigation into the Roswell Incident, requested by the then New Mexico Representative Steven Schiff in 1993, they decided to move on their own, supposedly pulling out all the stops, digging into records, hunting down people, (long retired), who had taken part in the events many years ago. This became the 1994 and 1997 Air Force reports I mentioned at the beginning of this editorial. (Ed. Note: All one has to do is read the GAO report or the Air Force reports of 1994 and 1997 to know the above statements are far from the truth.)


This article about the “Air Force and UFOs” mentions the balloon theory, which has been pretty well disproven over the years, not mentioning the fact that the Soviet Union didn’t do any nuclear testing until 1949 which is what the Mogul balloon was supposed to detect. Nor does it mention the fact that the anthromorphic crash test dummies could not have been the bodies witnesses described, since they were not used until 1953 (6 years after the Roswell Incident.)

There are other references in the article I could refer to, but due to a lack of space here, I’ll close with Mr. Correll’s final comment in his article, “Perhaps, in the context of the world today, there are more disturbing and important things to worry about than UFOs”.

Mr. Correll, I hope when the truth is finally revealed and UFOs are determined to be a factual occurrence, you are still around to write another article about the Air Force and UFOs, because there will be a lot of explaining needed about the past 64 years, and the way the Air Force has handled this topic.

Roswell’s Memory Metal: The Air Force Comments; NASA Gets Involved & New Clues Are Found

The “memory metal” debris found at the UFO crash site at Roswell in 1947 was both the conceptual and the technical impetus for today’s “Shape Memory Alloys” or “Morphing Metals” such as Nitinol. The Roswell debris was analyzed by Battelle Memorial Institute in the late 1940’s under a Wright-Patterson Air Force contract. These historical truths were established in a years-long (and continuing) investigation which has been detailed in the second edition of the book Witness to Roswell and which has been updated, expanded upon and defended in the following articles:

This line of investigation continues to bring forth additional documents, witnesses and circumstantial evidence which supports the fact that an unknown craft of unknown origin -and comprised of previously unknown materials- crashed to Earth over six decades ago. It also confirms that the overriding concern was to find out what the craft was made of.

NASA and The Memory Metal

The official “co-inventor” of Nitinol shape memory alloy at the US Naval Labs (along with Fred Wang) was William Buehler. In an authorized Oral History, Buehler complained that after his “discovery” that is was the space agency NASA that “independently retained Battelle” to “conduct further characterization studies” on Nitinol.

And this makes complete sense. The memory metal was inspired by the materials of construction from a spacecraft found at Roswell. This means that the material must have application in aerospace. And indeed it does. Today, NASA itself plans to apply the material in its most revolutionary and technologically advanced craft ever developed. And even more incredibly, the memory metal itself may hold the clue to “Free Energy” and interstellar propulsion using Nitinol Heat Engines! Recent research confirms that Roswell’s memory metal is going back into space, the Outer Space from which it originated.

NASA’s Langley Research Center in VA is key to this endeavor. Its Center for Excellence in Materials is working feverishly on Shape Changing aircraft. The following video demonstrates this fact- and that they want to transfer this technology to industry:

Dr. Anna McGowan is NASA’s Program Director for Morphing Materials. She is a champion of such materials because they “allow change from one configuration to another.” In a recent interview (that did not mention potential Roswell-impetus) McGowan expanded on these themes.

She states that this “change” can have real-world applications in the development of advanced spacecraft. By having shape-changing craft, one can control drag reduction, load reduction, noise reduction and the control of sensors and actuators using such material. Most importantly, such material may one day be used as the basis for a “self-healing spacecraft skin” which can repair itself. Such morphing allows the craft to “remember” prior configurations or “remember” itself for future function. When the material can morph, the shape of the craft can be changed to best suit the environment in which it traverses. And such a material can “self-disguise” aircraft and spacecraft- allowing it to “confuse” onlookers.

McGowan participated in a workshop in France in 2007 entitled “Aerospace Workshop on Adaptive Aerospace Structures and Materials” She explains that emphasis should be placed on the range of potential Shape Memory materials such as alloys, polymers and composite constructions. Of course the debris at Roswell was described as “like both metal and plastic (polymer)” by several witnesses. And incredibly, General George Schulgen (in a Secret Memo composed just months after the Roswell crash) wrote to select staff on the potential “Items of Construction” of UFOs that they were likely of “composite construction.”

McGowan then goes on to say that specific attention must be applied to the extreme challenges of “processing and fabrication” of such materials. In this same Secret Memo from General Schulgen in 1947 he speaks specifically of UFO material being made “by unusual fabrication methods.” General Arthur Exon, Base Commander of Wright Patterson in the 1960s (who was Roswell-aware) commented to author Kevin Randle of the debris that he had learned that “the processing of the material was somehow different.”

Sixty four years after the Roswell crash, the US government is still grappling with the challenges of Nitinol and Shape Memory. Although engineers and scientists have conducted countless studies, have composed numerous white papers and have diagrammed and micro-photographed such material for decades, the precise mechanisms behind “material that remembers itself” has yet to be fully understood.

NASA has a long history of conducting materials science and engineering experiments in space. Many of these studies remain classified. This author has reason to believe that NASA took Nitinol into space for secret experimentation. Emerging information indicates that it was placed in specialized testing chambers during the Space Shuttle and Space Station missions in the 1990s. The weightlessness and gravity-free environment of Outer Space may have revealed clues to the “strange fabrication and processing” as well as insight into just how and why material can “morph.” More on this will be reported in a future article.

Finally, Nitinol -or morphing memory metals- may hold the clue to cosmic propulsion and potentially infinite energy. NASA (and other government entities including the US Naval Labs in MD where Nitinol was “invented”) have been quietly working on “Nitinol Heat Engines.” Work on such engines as to date been largely theoretical. In the video below, the basic principles of such a Nitinol Heat Engine are showed in model-scale:

By using dual hot water/cold water chambers and a unique pulley system, the Nitinol wire’s precise cycle of continuous shrinkage and expansion makes the “water wheel” spin perpetually in motion.

However this author has learned that NASA has been working on Nitinol Engines for space propulsion for over 20 years! A December 1, 1988 document (declassified and entitled “Direct Conversion Technology”) features a chapter beginning on Page 29, “Thermoelastic Convertors-Nitinol Engines.” Though the report is generated by the US Department of Energy (interestingly authored by a scientist from EG&G, a company recently Roswell-implicated) the report is not a DOE report. Buried within the document we learn that this work was done “through an agreement with NASA” and that “the work herein was performed by NASA.”

The US Air force Responds to The Roswell-Nitinol Claims

This author has heard from a former US Air Force official about the Roswell-Memory Metal scenario. Colonel Richard Weaver is the author of the official Air Force’s 1994 debunking report “The Roswell Report: Case Closed.” He contacted me on April 27th, 2011 in reply to my email to him. Weaver held several high-level roles in intelligence (and in disinformation operations) with the USAF and he now heads a corporate security consulting firm. He commented at some length on my Roswell memory metal “angle” :

“Very interesting material, Mr. Bragalia. And you have obviously done a great deal of research on this particular topic, to which I must confess that I am almost totally ignorant.” Weaver continues by explaining to me that he never thought to thoroughly investigate the reports of memory metal found at Roswell: “Until actually looking up those terms (Nitinol, shape memory) in Google/Wikipedia, I had no previous knowledge of them… I was though aware of various claims made by Jesse Marcel, Jr. and others about and amazing material that sprung back to its original shape after having been wadded up.”

I asked Weaver if he had ever examined any of the National Laboratories (like Sandia) or its contract-operators (like Battelle Memorial Institute) for “clues” during his Roswell investigation. If there was material recovered from the site, it makes absolute sense that such material would be analyzed by such labs. Weaver admits the government’s failure to do so:

“We had no charter or authority to examine any records stored or maintained by any of the National Laboratories- that would have been up to the GAO.” Weaver excuses their neglect in doing so by saying: “Their purpose was to search for existing records …and not conduct an investigation of every claim that has been made concerning the event.”

This author is convinced that had the GAO and USAF Roswell investigations were more genuinely “investigative” – to include examining the records and talking to the former employees of our National Laboratories- that the Roswell mystery would have been long-solved. I asked Weaver if he knew then what he does now about this Roswell avenue of investigation what he would think about Nitinol. He responded:

“Based upon the descriptions that I have found for the material ‘Nitinol’, I would say that the foil-like material used in the Rawin targets (of Project Mogul), while flexible, did not meet the description of the characteristics for the alloy Nitinol.”

Weaver still believes that the Roswell crash was resultant from an errant Project Mogul balloon. But he clearly finds this information fascinating and that it was “reasonable research upon which reasonable men can disagree.”

Other Historical Mentions of "UFO Memory Metal"

There are in fact other (though very rare) mentions of such memory metal in the historical UFO literature that this author has uncovered:

Researcher Leonard Stringfield wrote in a book in 1978 called “Situation Red” of such a report. He recounts the story of MD in Argentina who said that he had encountered a landed UFO in 1950. Stringfield writes, “He was also amazed at the skin of the saucer, which was metallic in appearance, but had a ‘rubbery’ feel to it.” Researcher Coral Lorenzon tells of the same incident in his 1966 “Flying Saucers: The Startling Evidence” and says that the Doctor “said that the disk appeared metallic but had the resilience of rubber.” Of course the skin of the alien spacecraft sounds suspiciously like what was reported at Roswell, having the power to return to its original form or position after being bent, compressed or stressed.

Although a more “esoteric” story, in 1957 Cynthia Appleton of Birmingham, UK reported an encounter that she had with an alien presence. This report is recounted online and in the UFO literature. Cynthia asked the “presence” why there were visiting our Earth. She got the reply that “We have to visit your world to obtain something of which we are running out.” When she later attempted to recall the name of the material they wanted to recover, she thought that they might have said “Titium” (tite-ee-um). When she told her husband this, who knew his way around metals, he replied “You mean Titanium.” Of course “Titanium” is one of the two essential elements need to create the memory metal Nitinol. And when researcher Kevin Randle asked General Arthur Exon of Wright Patterson what metal/s were used in the Roswell debris, Exon specifically referred to Titanium.

Former engineer Ralph Ring claims in an online video interview that consciousness and morphing metal have a great deal to do with interstellar travel. Ring was associated with the very controversial inventor Otis T. Carr in the late 1950s. Carr was, in this author’s opinion, a self-taught scientist who was onto great discoveries but who was also an “over-claimer,” greedy and alcoholic. Carr made attempts at the development of an interstellar spacecraft utilizing electro-magnetic and electro-gravity propulsion concepts. He even constructed several prototypes. Engineer Ring states that when they powered up the craft, Carr counseled them to achieve a certain pre-arranged “mental state.” As the power wound up and they achieved they desired “state” Ring said, “The metal turned to rubber and it was resilient to the touch.” He says that it was like “rubber metal.” There is an amazing parallel to this story, one that is verified: In the early 1970s the US Navy Labs’ Fred Wang (co-inventor of Nitinol) tested a psychic’s ability to bend or morph Nitinol using mental energy.

Memory Metal's "Meaning" To UFOs

What material could be better for an interstellar vehicle that one that could provide its own energy source, disguise itself at will, work in all environments and be able to heal itself when compromised? Perhaps there is “Intelligent Material” of which the UFO is made that is so “malleable” that it may be able to change state, allowing for interstellar travel. Morphing is key to cosmic transport. The craft’s material must be eminently adaptable, changing and restructuring itself at the crystalline and molecular levels- and likely even at the interdimensional level. It may be both physical and paraphysical. Though the craft are comprised of elements and are comprised of ‘material’ - they are also ‘amorphous’ and in some way must manipulate time and space. So the material must be able to “change up” instantly and at will. It must morph. Here we see in the video below an example of a morphing UFO. This is a stabilized version of the video. Though some believe it to be of balloons, I do not think so- and there are countless (and increasing) examples of such craft in our skies beyond this video, whatever one may think of it:

Why The Very "Idea" of Memory Metal Helps Prove Roswell

The Roswell memory metal revelations have been met with the gamut of responses from far and wide. But it is one, simple, small post that was made on an online discussion group related to unexplained mysteries that gave me pause. This individual made an extraordinarily perceptive comment on that site and it has stuck with me. Its beauty is in its simplicity:

“When you have a number of people from different locations of the country identifying the exact same exotic properties of the materials recovered from New Mexico, then there is no room left for claims of ‘active imaginations’ because these folks were all singing to the same tune of the exotic nature of the materials, which were not known at the time, and were alien to mankind.”

In other words, they described a material with such unusual properties years before such material became known to the general public (or would even have been invented!) The very fact that many credible first-hand witnesses recounted a remarkable metal that would “remember itself” is in and of itself remarkable. Not only was such a material never even speculated on (even in cartoons) in 1947- most people today in 2011 would have no idea what you were talking about! Remember that even Colonel Richard Weaver of the USAF himself told me that he had never even heard of Nitinol or Shape Memory alloys in his life before my articles! Well then how would 80+ year old Roswell witnesses know about Nitinol? Even if they were recounting it in 1980? What would even possess such elderly and rural people in the first place to conceive of such an idea as “morphing metal”? What would even make them think of such a thing unless it did not actually happen? What would instill such a novel idea as “moving metal” into so many different people –separated now by time, years and distance- had they not seen it? It simply makes no sense whatsoever. In fact, I strongly suspect that if one were to conduct a national poll of US adults, far less than a half-percent would have ever heard of Nitinol- or be able to in any way define “shape recovery.”

Material is Not Immutable

There is of course a far “deeper” meaning to the memory metal. It is found within the illusive intricacies of the “morph” itself- the one that scientists toil today to understand. Such material represents the potential for change and the need for intelligent adaptation. Without it, life ceases.

And more concretely, we live in an ever-changing Universe. In order to traverse it, the material we use to do so must be able to “change” as well. If galactic flight exists, matter must not be immutable. It must be able to change state- and then “remember” its original form. It must morph. Our linear thinking makes it difficult to conceive of such “malleable matter” - which is why our very mind’s relationship with matter must change if we are to ever enter the Interstellar Age.

HET BELGISCHE UFO WAARNEMINGSONDERZOEK

nitiële UFO meldingen worden door menig UFO onderzoeker in de rapporteringfase louter beschouwd als meldingen van vreemde, ongewone, onbekende of ongeïdentificeerde hemelverschijnselen. Deze waarnemingsgroep van nog ongeëvalueerde waarnemingen wordt intern aangeduid als: ‘UAP waarnemingen’. UAP staat hierbij voor: ‘Unidentified Aerial Phenomena’ (Ongeïdentificeerde Luchtfenomenen). Het is pas na een analyse door bekwame onderzoekers, dat de waarnemingen worden onderverdeeld in twee hoofdcategorieën die worden aangeduid als IFO’s en UFO’s.

De IFO’s: ‘Identified Flying Objects’ (Geïdentificeerde Vliegende Objecten) vertegenwoordigen ontegensprekelijk de grootste groep, en worden voornamelijk gekenmerkt door misinterpretaties van bestaande, bekende of minder gekende hemelverschijnselen. Deze hemelverschijnselen zijn zonder uitzondering steeds terug te brengen tot verschijnselen van ofwel natuurlijke, artificiële of zinbegoochelende aard en oorsprong. Moeilijker is het gesteld met de kleinste waarnemingsgroep, de zogenaamde UFO’s: ‘Unidentified Flying Objects’ (Ongeïdentificeerde Vliegende Objecten) deze waarnemingsgroep verleent zich niet tot eenvoudige verklaringen binnenin het vertrouwde paradigma omdat het de indruk wekt daar los van te staan, en niet aldus danig wordt beschreven door de betrokken waarnemers. Hoewel er veel onenigheid bestaat over het te hanteren percentage van deze intrigerende en controversiële waarnemingsgroep, is het duidelijk dat dit sterk schommelt naargelang de plaats en periode in kwestie, en de hoeveelheid aandacht, dat er al dan niet aan werd gegeven in de media. Feit is echter wel dat de belangrijkste (officiële) studie naar UFO’s¹ 21,5 % aanduidde als ‘onbekend’, terwijl er los daarvan respectievelijk 9,3 % onthouden werd wegens gebrek aan voldoende gegevens.

De hedendaagse meldingen die bij ons binnenkomen, worden op dezelfde manier gescreend als ten tijde van het officiële onderzoek dat destijds door de Amerikaanse luchtmacht werd uitgevoerd. Zoals bij de officiële studie, zijn de meeste waarnemingen (eveneens) te identificeren aan de hand van vertrouwde oorzaken (IFO’s). Onze interesse naar deze relatief eenvoudig verklaarbare waarnemingen is nagenoeg louter statistisch van aard. Het voornaamste hulpmiddel bij het afhandelen van ongeïdentificeerde waarnemingen (UFO’s) is het gebruik van een standaard vragenlijst of ‘UFO waarnemingsverslag’. Deze wordt door de waarnemer(-s) of - onderzoeker ter plaatse - ingevuld. Wanneer een dergelijk verslag interessant genoeg blijkt, wordt het door ons uitgetypt onder de vorm van een ‘UFO waarnemingsrapport’, dat mits de onthouding van namen en adressen, beschikbaar wordt gesteld voor andere onderzoekers of geïnteresseerden. Deze rapporten hebben louter de bedoeling te fungeren als neutrale reconstructies van de waargenomen verschijnselen zoals gerapporteerd door de getuigen. Sommige waarnemingsrapporten zijn dermate gedetailleerd, complex of vreemd, dat ze uitnodigen tot verder (eventueel plaatselijk) onderzoek, in een dergelijk geval wordt er een bijkomend gedetailleerd ‘UFO onderzoeksrapport’ opgesteld, dat in tegenstelling tot de waarnemingsrapporten, zich wel kan uitlaten over de geloofwaardigheid of eigenheid van een waargenomen verschijnsel.

Grotendeels of uitsluitend dankzij de steeds luidst klinkende ‘anti UFO lobby’ en de gevestigde ‘relativerings- en ridiculiseringpolemiek’ gaat het hedendaagse UFO onderzoek gebukt onder vele moeilijkheden, zo zijn er slechts nog een handjevol waarnemers bereid te vinden om hun waarnemingen te rapporteren, laat staan om ons bij te staan in een gedetailleerder onderzoek. Daarenboven zijn alle UFO onderzoekers in ons land onbemiddeld voor de opoffering van hun vrije tijd, en dienen zij bovendien zelf in te staan voor alle onderzoekskosten die hieraan verbonden zijn. Vanzelfsprekend gaat er bovendien zeer veel tijd op in het verzamelen, sorteren, digitaliseren en analyseren van andere rapporten en publicaties, alsook onderlinge communicatie, studie, het weerleggen of ontkrachten van valse beweringen, het geven van interviews, en het schrijven van toelichtingen, bepalingen en artikels. Dit alles maakt dat meldingen en diens administratieve afhandeling soms erg lang op zich laten wachten. Heeft het Belgische UFO onderzoek dan eigenlijk nog zin? Absoluut, hoewel ons land beduidend kleiner is dan de meeste landen, scoren we verhoudingsgewijs qua meldingen per km² absoluut niet slecht. Bovendien beschikken we wegens het ontbreken van al te grote afstanden, eerder over de mogelijkheid om zowel waarnemers als observatielocaties persoonlijk te bezoeken, om aldus tot betrouwbaardere indrukken en analyses te komen. Verder resulteert een geringer aantal meldingen in een grotere zorgs- en tijdsbesteding per rapport. Zo moeten we vaststellen dat bepaalde Amerikaanse websites weliswaar een enorme meldingsstroom van vaak duizenden UFO meldingen kunnen voorleggen, maar jammer genoeg gaat het dan in de meeste gevallen om tekeningloze vluchtige impressies, zoals deze door de waarnemers zelf werden verwoord en gerapporteerd, zonder dat er verder onderzoek naar werd verricht. Wegens het ontbreken van diverse overeenkomstige essentiële parameters, hebben deze waarnemingsrapporten (behalve dan dat het er veel zijn) dan ook weinig indicatieve waarde. Voortgaand op dergelijke gebrekkige gegevens is het zelfs niet mogelijk om betrouwbare gelijkenissen, naar bijvoorbeeld uitzicht toe, te detecteren (wat toch wel een minimum vereiste zou moeten zijn).

Vragen over de hoedanigheid, oorzaken of herkomst van UFO’s zouden irrelevant moeten zijn aan de neutrale optekening van het indicatieve feitenmateriaal zoals gepresenteerd door de allesbepalende en hoofdrolspelende waarnemers. Staat de integriteit van alle UFO waarnemers en hun perceptievermogen trouwens nog steeds in vraag? Of worden we verondersteld te geloven dat UFO waarnemers enkel goed zijn in het beschrijven van VERKLAARBARE oorzaken?

BEKENDSTE UFO BLIJKT STUKJE PIEPSCHUIM…

1.    VOORWOORD.

De wereldberoemde foto van de Belgische Driehoek boven Petit-Rechain blijkt een vervalsing te zijn. Op 28 juli 2011 blokletterde Het Belang van Limburg deze titel boven hun artikel. Blijkbaar had de fotograaf Patrick samen met vrienden deze foto getrukeerd. Na 21 jaar heeft op RTL TV1 deze hoax bekend gemaakt. De foto is een eigen leven gaan leiden… Ze hebben met een stukje piepschuim, een penseel en wat lampjes, opgehangen aan een keukentrap met een koord. Volgens hem liepen rond deze vorm allemaal draden, die niemand opgemerkt heeft. De bekendste foto zou dus het resultaat zijn van een flauwe studentengrap!

Feit is dat deze foto de ganse wereld rondging en voor sommige ufologen het ultieme bewijs was voor buitenaards bezoek aan onze aarde. De foto kreeg zo een grote weerklank in de media, dat de fotograaf 21 jaar geleden moeilijk kon terugkrabbelen en de joke vertellen… Nu na 21 jaar achtte hij de tijd rijp voor zijn bekentenis op Tv.

In het Ufo-boek “The Ufo-report 1991” van de Brit Timothy GOOD, wijdde ik een hoofdstuk aan de Belgische driehoek ende andere evenementen. Ik berichtte toen al dat ik ervan overtuigd was dat deze UFO geen buitenaards ruimteschip was, maar eerder een prototype van een hoogtechnologisch, militair toestel, zoals de F117A-Stealth… Dat werd me niet door iedereen in dank afgenomen en mijn hypothese werd zeker niet aanvaard. Je moet eveneens weten  dat de sceptische ufo-onderzoeker Wim van Utrecht van Caelestia, enkele weken na het verschijnen van de bewuste foto zelf met een nagemaakte foto van de Belgische Driehoek naar buiten kwam. Persoonlijk vond ik zijn reproductie bijzonder geslaagd en ook toen al was ik genoegd om Wim gelijk te geven… De gelijkenis was zo frappant en ik vond dat Wim best in zijn opzet geslaagd was om aan te tonen hoe eenvoudig het was om met eenvoudige middelen dergelijke foto te maken. Zeker moet ik je niet vertellen dat Wim bijna met alle zonden van Israël overladen werd omdat hij die foto in vraag durfde te stellen! De tijd geeft nu Wim blijkbaar gelijk, dat je met eenvoudige middelen veel kan bereiken…

De sceptici gaan deze hoax weer aangrijpen om te beweren dat alle ufo’s nep en verklaarbaar zijn; de believers gaan misschien de verklaring van de fotograaf in twijfel trekken. Volgens mijn persoonlijke mening valt of staat de Ufologie, noch de Belgische Ufomeldingen niet met de echtheid van deze foto. Gewoon omdat de fotograaf de foto produceerde op basis van de getuigenissen van vroegere en geloofwaardige getuigen, zoals de twee rijkswachters in Eupen. De basis van de waarnemingen en de verschillende radaropnames wijzen wel degelijk op een echt vreemd object dat in onze contreien rondvloog…

2.    WAAROM BLIJFT DE WAARNEMING VAN DE BELGISCHE DRIEHOEK EEN UNIEKE GEBEURTENIS IN DE UFOLOGIE?

a.     De geloofwaardigheid van de eerste getuigenissen.

De verklaringen van de twee rijkswachters over de waarneming van een driehoekvormig object boven Eupen kan je moeilijk in twijfel trekken. Na de massale aandacht van de media voor dit voorval, volgden er nog honderden meldingen. De Waalse Ufo-groep SOBEPS verzamelde en onderzocht de vele getuigenissen en dat resulteerde in twee lijvige rapporten in boekvorm.

b.     De metingen van de luchtmacht.

Bepaalde Ufowaarnemingen werden door de grondradars en zelfs door de radar van de F16’s, die de luchtmacht ter controle de lucht in zond om de “ufo” op te sporen, geregistreerd. De versnellingen, die het bewuste toestel wist te genereren, het stilhangen, kon volgens de luchtmacht geen enkel bekend aards toestel aan. En als je de verklaringen van ex-kolonel De Brouwer blijft volgen, dan zegt hij nog steeds dat de luchtmacht nog altijd niet weet wat er in het Belgisch luchtruim rondtoerde…

c.     Valse foto’s kunnen inderdaad een probleem opleveren.

Vooraleer Wim van Utrecht zijn “nepfoto” aanmaakte van Belgische Driehoek, waren er ook al andere onderzoekers, die hun twijfels hadden over de echtheid van deze bewuste foto. De duidelijkheid van deze opname was te mooi om waar te zijn en je kon je ook afvragen waarom er maar één opname van bestond. Nu begrijp je dat alvast beter in de wetenschap dat op de andere foto’s de draden misschien zichtbaarder waren.

Verder als je sommige getuigenverhalen leest, is er sprake van een grote, zwarte driehoek, die boven hun hoofden hing, groter dan een voetbalveld. Dat bleek niet uit de foto. Ondanks alles blijft het een vaststaand feit dat de maker van de foto zich gebaseerd heeft op beschrijvingen van voorgaande getuigen. E zijn altijd personen, die zich graag in de kijker werken en die vervalsing, trucage of zelfs fraude niet schuwen…

Persoonlijk vond / vind ik een knap staaltje werk van de scepticus Wim van Utrecht dat hij 21 jaar geleden al zo snel wist aan te tonen dat je met eenvoudige middelen (bijna identiek met de originele fotograaf) een vergelijkbare en bijna identieke reproductie van de bewuste foto kon maken. De “experten”, die beide foto’s analyseerden, en die toen opmerkelijke verschillen quasi intensiteit, helderheid, lichtsterkte ontdekten, gaan misschien nu minder hoog van de toren blazen. Ik ben geen expert in fotoanalyse maar is het niet normaal dat er tussen twee verschillende opnames met verschillende camera’s opvallende verschillen voorkomen? Ik denk dat zij / we in onze naïveteit ons onvoldoende kritisch en achterdochtig opstelde tegenover deze getuigen en fotograaf. Misschien waren er wel onderzoekers die onbewust deze getuigen wel wilde geloven. Wat sommige “ fotografische experts” ook mogen beweren over de echtheid van sommige ufo-foto’s, soms zegeviert gezond boerenverstand over de expertise...

d.     De driehoekvorm werd / wordt ook nog boven andere landen waargenomen.

Er werden / worden niet alleen driehoekvormige ufo’s boven België waargenomen, maar ook in diverse andere landen en continenten. Als je de Filer’s Files er op naleest, dan duikt deze ufo-vorm frequent op. Voor mij is dat een bewijs dat het primo om een artificieel object gaat, secundo niet perse van buitenaardse origine, maar dat het tertio eerder past in het kader van vluchten met een prototype van een geheim spitstechnologisch, militair toestel.

Als je er de diverse verklaringen over de Belgische meldingen op naleest, en de verklaringen, die de onderzoekers er durven aan te geven, gaande van een luchtballon, een ULM, een helikopter, dan mag ik ook wel blijven nadenken over mijn hypothese, niet? Nu als je de opgemerkte en vastgestelde karakteristieken van dit object, geregistreerd door de radars van de luchtmacht, dan blijft het zoeken naar een voor iedereen aanvaardbare oplossing. Noch de luchtmacht, noch de sceptici, noch de believers, noch de objectieve, kritische onderzoekers hebben tot heden een door iedereen aanvaardbare verklaring kunnen aanbieden voor de Belgische ufomeldingen.

e.     Aantal meldingen.

Als je weet dat na de eerste melding van de driehoek boven Eupen door de twee rijkswachters en de massale media-aandacht SOBEPS  en diverse andere ufo-groepen honderden meldingen ontvingen, dan is het realistisch om te denken dat er iets onbekends in ons luchtruim rondvloog. En ja, een deel van deze meldingen waren misinterpretaties, optische illusies, ed., maar de close encounter-verhalen kan je niet zo snel negeren. Het was dus zeker niet allemaal verbeelding, of fantasie, of hoaxen van aandachtzoekers.

Nu de publicatie van de “valse” foto kan wel meegeholpen hebben om de hype, die ontstond bij de Belgische meldingen nog meer kracht te geven. Misschien is dat het positieve dat je kan afleiden van deze vervalsing, de algemene bekendheid van de Belgische waarnemingen, werden er zeker mee in de hand gewerkt.

Verder is het zo dat deze trucage- of vervalsingfoto, gemaakt op basis van de beschrijvingen van diverse getuigen, ons een concreet, visueel beeld geeft van wat  de personen waarnamen.

f.      Wat / wie is expert in Ufologie en in fotoanalyse?

De vervalsing van deze foto door een “amateur” en zijn getuigenis bewijst eens te meer dat het ook voor experts  zeer moeilijk is om foto’s of ander beeldmateriaal van vreemde verschijnselen grondig te analyseren en voor echt te verklaren. Hun expertise valt of staat deels met de betrouwbaarheid en de geloofwaardigheid van de getuigen / de waarnemer. Om het met de woorden van de fotograaf Patrick te zeggen –“ Ik wil duidelijk maken dat je iedereen kan bedotten. Je kan veel bereiken met weinig. Het was mooi, maar ik wil mij ook verontschuldigen aan iedereen die ik gefopt  heb”.

Met foto-shop en andere programma’s kan je de dag van vandaag al heel wat manipuleren, trukeren met opmerkelijke en buitengewone beelden tot gevolg. Het is aangewezen om ons ingeval van beeldmateriaal over Ufo’s of andere esoterische fenomenen kritisch en objectief te blijven opstellen, met zelfs een vleugje achterdocht, tot je 100% zekerheid kan inbouwen over het bewijs en de getuigen! Kan je dit niet dan mag je het beeldmateriaal nooit als afdoend bewijs aanvaarden, wat sommige “fotografische “experts ook mogen beweren. Het is zelfs zo dat dit geval en de sceptische visie ons leert dat een gezonde dosis wantrouwen in verband met ufo’s geen slechte zaak is. Hoe graag we de getuigenissen van de waarnemers ook willen voor volle waarheid aanvaarden, altijd blijft de mogelijkheid bestaan dat één van hen een vervalser, een aandachtzoeker of zelfs een fraudeur is. Dit zijn misschien harde woorden, maar ik denk dat veel sceptische ponderzoekers zo geworden zijn omdat ze in hun vroeger leven in hun naïviteit te getuigen te veel vertrouwden.0 Het gevolg was dat ze regelmatig met de kop tegen de muur van leugens en hoaxen botsten en hun geloof in de betrouwbaarheid van de getuigen ernstig ging wankelen.

3.   BESLUIT.

De bewuste foto van de Belgische driehoek blijkt nu duidelijk een vervalsing te zijn. Het is een mooie reproductie van een waargenomen object, zoals het door diverse getuigen beschreven werd. Pluspunt is dat het ons een concreet, visueel beeld biedt van wat de getuigen in ons Belgisch luchtruim zagen rondvliegen.

De bekentenis van deze fotograaf na 21 jaar doet geen afbreuk aan de ufologie, noch aan de ufo-flap van de jaren 89/90 en de honderden meldingen. Het blijft nog steeds een raadsel van wat er toen in ons luchtruim rondvloog. Misschien krijgt mijn vroegere hypothese dat het om een geheim, spitstechnologisch, militair toestel ging, zoals de F117A nu terug meer kans. Niettemin was het een echt, fysisch, artificieel object dat ons luchtruim teisterde!

Wat de sceptici ook mogen beweren, noch de ufologie, noch de Belgische meldingen vallen of staan met die bewuste foto. De scepticus Wim van Utrecht bewees reeds 21 jaar geleden hoe snel dergelijke foto kon gefabriceerd worden met zeer eenvoudige middelen. Hij leert ons wel dat we altijd op onze hoede dienen te zijn voor te mooi beeldmateriaal en in sommigen gevallen kan het zelfs nuttig zijn om bepaalde getuigen te wantrouwen en de nodige achterdocht te bewaren. Dit klinkt misschien in tegenspraak wat ik vroeger schreef over getuigen en het vertrouwen dat ze verdienen, maar laat vooral je gezond verstand en je mensenkennis spreken in dergelijke gevallen.

Voor mij blijven de meldingen van de Belgische driehoek een indrukwekkende gebeurtenis in de wereld van de ufologie, die je niet vaak meemaakt. De oplossing voor dit evenement is nog steeds een raadsel, zelfs voor de Belgische luchtmacht. Persoonlijk vind ik mijn hypothese over een prototype nog steeds even afdoend en mogelijk als al de andere theorieën. Misschien waren de vluchten boven België en West-Europa een laatste test voor dit toestel voor het operationeel ingezet zou worden in Panama en Koeweit? Vloog het object niet toevallig in de internationale luchtcorridor, waardoor het alle West-Europese radars testen op zichtbaarheid?  Die internationale vluchtroute, toeval of niet? Raar, toch..

Foto ufo Petit-Rechain is vervalsing

De wereldberoemde foto van de driehoekige ufo met verlichte hoeken, die op 4 april 1990 in de Luikse gemeente Petit-Rechain (Verviers) genomen werd door een 20-jarige arbeider, is een vervalsing. Het gefotografeerde voorwerp was in werkelijkheid niet meer dan een maquette in piepschuim, zo heeft de fotograaf toegegeven aan de Franstalige televisiezender RTL-TVI.

Eind 1989 en in 1990 werden een hele reeks meldingen gedaan van vreemde voorwerpen in het Belgische luchtruim. Het was ook in die periode dat de beruchte foto van de ufo werd verspreid.

Verschillende onderzoekers en specialisten, onder meer van de Amerikaanse ruimtevaartorganisatie NASA, hebben de foto bestudeerd in een poging om het raadsel op te lossen. Maar niemand van hen slaagde erin het bedrog aan het licht te brengen.

Nu geeft de fotograaf uiteindelijk toch toe dat het gaat om een vervalsing. 'We hadden nooit gedacht dat de foto de fabriek zou verlaten waar we werkten. Het beeld ging echter een eigen leven leiden en toen hebben we het maar zo gelaten.'

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena sightings were reported over California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington. Sightings of UFOs were also reported in Australia, Canada, India, Taiwan, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

The purpose of these files is to report the UFO eyewitness and photo/video evidence that occurs on a daily basis around the world and in space. These Files assume that extraterrestrial intelligent life not only exists, but my hypothesis is that the over a thousand UFOs reported each month represent technologically advanced spacecraft conducting surveillance of Earth. I personally became interested in UFOs when London Control ordered me to intercept one over England while flying for the US Air Force. Under Project Blue Book, the US Air Force investigated UFOs for more than twenty years; and we continue this research. I believe the God of the universe has spread life throughout the cosmos and UFO's are visiting us in ever-increasing numbers.

Preliminary report on Alien Tissue and Fluid samples

Robert M. Collins writes, "Samples were shipped from a ranch in Phoenix Arizona where bizarre incidences had taken place over many years culminating in a number of entities getting wounded or killed in the ranch house. "

The witness wiped up the blood/fluid and tissue of the Gray I nearly split in two parts with an exceptionally well sharpened Samurai sword after hand to hand combat with these little parasites. We have plenty of evidence to prove it, gathered over many years." These samples were analyzed by a Dr Levengood and Amanda N. Nimke in 2009.

Blood found? Dr Levengood: "It's pure hemoglobin like that found at the Cattle Mutilation sites with what appears to be segment rods in the blood, never seen anything like it.

Skin looks like segmented grass except it's not grass Levengood said, see attachment 2.

Numerous samples have been collected under correct forensic technique by several skilled investigators and were sent to independent labs of high regard. All came back with the same result that the proteins in the samples could not be identified as anything they had seen before either plant, or animal, or human. One lab did add that the samples sent to them did match the samples they had tested over the last 30 years of fluid specimens they had tested from various cattle mutilations across the South West US. They believed that there was a 100% compatibility that the two were from the same creature(s). Finally a smoking Gun that absolutely links cattle mutilations to alien life forms.

The important significance of these fluid matches is that according to Dr. Levengood, the fact that they matched so well was proof that they were both extraterrestrial as the samples match nothing from the animal or plant kingdoms on Earth. However, as said above, the samples match the samples from mutilated cattle sites, and that would in Dr. Levengood's words show a correlation between aliens and cattle mutilations.

"You have the smoking gun," "this is proof of alien life visiting Earth and links the phenomenon together positively!" These were Dr. Levengood's words!

"Robert Bigelow and his agency spent close to a month studying the ranch and the events here and my wife and I underwent extensive interviewing, videotaping, and analysis by ex FBI and CIA investigators. Everyone involved has had a consensus that the events here are real, accurate in nature, and have not been publicly released due to my desire to avoid a deluge of publicity which will neither further the investigation nor heighten the hard science approach to an unexplained phenomena that deserves the respect of remaining a discussion between professionals.

Dr. Levengood, said, "I'm very excited about the samples which contain tiny segmented fibers that are not cloth.

Levengood explained, "Blood as we know it does not contain segmented fibers; normal antibodies that are positive or negative determine the type of blood which is something totally different and this made the sample highly unusual. It is very peculiar because the cell parts look like joint grass, but are not grass."

Mars Rover "Curiosity," Is Heading for Curious Site

Mars rover Curiosity is expected to launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on November 25, 2011, and will land on Mars in August 2012. Gale crater has been chosen for the landing site since there are no visible ruins or indications of life in the area. NASA is introducing a new Mars probe called Curiosity that is a $2.5 billion, nuclear-powered machine that is the size of a Mini Cooper, and contains a laser that can vaporize rocks at seven meters, a percussive drill, a large robot arm and a weather station. In addition, it has 4.8kg of plutonium-238. Curiosity's main mission on Mars is to find organic compounds as a "telltale sign" that life have existed on Mars. Scientist's must pick a landing area that will most likely contain such evidence. Gale Crater features a mound of debris that is 3 miles above the crater floor, and contains layered deposits of sulfates and clays. Editor's Note: I suggest they land at Cydonia, Elysium, or Hale Crater where pyramids, faces, tubes and cities once existed.

Astronaut Onizuka Recalls UFO Encounter

Prior to the fateful launch of the space shuttle Challenger on January 28, 1986, I had the honor and pleasure of sharing conversations with several members of that crew. During one of many pre-mission preps for the Challenger mission, I came upon Lt. Col. Ellison Onizuka in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at launch complex 39. I had an assignment to assess some problems at the Launch Control Center (LCC) and needed to access the main drawing files.

Onizuka asked me if my surname had any connection with McClellan Air Force Base in California? I said not as far as I was aware. I asked him why?

Ellison said he had a surprising experience along with other USAF aerospace flight engineers and pilots while on military training duty at McClellan AFB, about eight or nine years prior to his astronaut training.

He and this group were at this base for specialized training when they were directed to report to a viewing room. As they were seated, the room darkened and a movie began without the usual official introduction by a USAF officer.

They were all startled when a view of a facility similar to a medical examination room appeared on the screen and small bodies were observed lying on slabs. He heard several excited comments by the other officers seated near him. The small, strange looking creatures were humanoid in shape, and appeared similar to those described by alleged witnesses at the well-known Roswell site in the Southwest USA in 1947.

They all had large heads, large eyes, slight torsos, arms, and legs. They did not appear to be of earthly origin.

Ellison then said, "Clark, my God, these highly trained officers and I were shocked by what we saw. We were not made privy to what we would see until it happened. We were all caught off guard. Perhaps it was a test of our psyche to determine our overall reaction. Well, we were all caught by surprise."

Needless to say, I was also caught off guard hearing this revelation from a highly intelligent USAF officer and NASA astronaut. One who flew his initial space mission 51-C in the space shuttle Discovery a highly classified U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) mission under top secret conditions. It made me wonder what else Ellison knew, or perhaps had seen, during his first shuttle mission and USAF career.

I said "that's amazing, Ellison! Were all of you given any opportunity to question what you saw?" He said, "No! We were then asked to exit the room and continued our scheduled technical activities as if nothing special had occurred. In my opinion, I have considered the possibility that the group was evaluated for individual reactions to what they saw. Perhaps it was a planned USAF psychological test for military reasons. Who knows, NASA may have evaluated it in my selection as an astronaut in 1978. You know, what would my reaction be if I actually saw an alien being"?

We arrived at our separate building destinations and briefly discussed his approaching second space mission in Challenger 51-L. He said he was anticipating a successful flight with Judy Resnik, Christa McAuliffe, and crew. I asked if we could discuss this topic again; and he agreed.

Unknown to us both, this would be the last time we would speak. He, Judy, Christa and the other crew members would be making their final mission on January 28, 1986.

I was at the Kennedy Space Center and watched in disbelief as they and space shuttle Challenger fell into the Atlantic Ocean.

Upon leaving KSC for the night after being on duty for about 15 hours, I was driving home to my Port St. John Apartment when the disaster finally caught up with my emotions. I pulled to the side of the main NASA causeway crossing the Indian River and sobbed my eyes out for about ten minutes. God, how horrible it was, and still is to this day, in my memory.

Mystery of 200 feet Crop Circle within Yards of Stonehenge

Daily Mail Reports "Who built Stonehenge has long been the subject of debate among scholars. But now the ancient site has offered up another conundrum - in the form of a giant crop circle. This impressive 200 feet design appeared within sight of the ancient monument Stonehenge yesterday in a field of wheat.

Some believe they are manmade, and there are a number who are convinced they are the work of extra-terrestrials. The ancient site is widely considered the most important prehistoric monument in Britain and is proving to be a hot spot for the phenomena this season. Online enthusiast Eliakis Joseph-Sophia attempted to offer some explanation, believing that the 'three half moons in the crop and that could indicate plans due to budgets in the third quarter. 'The crop is the other side of the road from Stonehenge. So clearly, the people involved in this crop cannot reach the sacred stones.' Alien Contact in Vietnam

Today's post is written by, a processing archivist at Archives II. Joe Gillette writes, " During the Vietnam War, American army commands maintained daily journals documenting assorted events. Many contain descriptions of combat against the enemy but there are entries that more closely resemble an episode of the X-Files than a war movie. One such entry appears in the January 6, 1969 daily journal of the 23rd Infantry Division's Chu Lai Defense Command . The command's mission was to coordinate ground defense of the Chu Lai Defense Sector on the Vietnamese coast about 40 miles southeast of Da Nang. Base defenses included a system of numbered observation towers ringing the base. Towers routinely reported anything unusual or potentially threatening to the base. At 0152 hours (1:52 AM), the day's journal records state:

Tower 72 reports an object flying into their area about 700 meters in front [sic] of them, AZ 310. Object came in slow over the ASP & landed. When object moves it has a glowing light. It is about 15 -- 20 ft across. It is shaped like a big egg. Control tower reports their radar did not pick anything up. Object also does not seem to have any sound to it when it moves.

The journals for the next two days, January 7 and 8 are missing. There isn't any egg shaped equipment or ammunition. Two or more soldiers typically manned these towers so the report was likely a real situation. Declassified videos of OVNIs (UFOs) in Chile

Luis Jaspe writes, "Yet again we come across the subject of UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects) and cannot find an explanation for the majority of the cases that suggest the existence "day after day" of something beyond.

We cannot grasp how some authorities endeavor to conceal the subject when increasingly greater numbers of people are interested in really knowing what is going on. Fortunately, there are people who have indeed involved themselves in UFO research, such as Chilean Captain Rodrigo Bravo, and who has said on more than one occasion that, "We are facing a real problem, even though the majority may not believe in subjects of this nature. Cronicaviva.com.pe published Captain Rodrigo Bravo's thoughts in this regard: "We can no longer deny or ignore the UFO situation. They represent a real and serious threat. Today we are faced by a complex phenomenon whose characteristics cannot be explained within normal terrestrial circumstances.

All of this after reporting and advising about series of recordings in which various Chilean pilots have stated having contact with one or more UFOs.

The Comit de Estudios de Fenmenos Areos Anmalos (CEFAA) has these recordings, and they are still under review.

California Disc

GARDEN GROVE -- I was taking pictures in my back yard of the Sun on July 18, 2011, at 5:30 PM, and noticed a small object flying around erratically, very unlike an airplane. It moved very quickly, darting about this way and that in the vicinity of the sun. I shot several pictures and I can see a very distinctive saucer shape and metallic craft moving very erratic and at very high rate of speed. The craft was rotating counter-clockwise. My camera is an Olympus FE 14 mega-pixel shot at 8 mega pixels. I was quite excited, and lost sight of the object after two minutes when it zipped away. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Yucca Valley -- I spotted unusual circular lights hovering over the city for ten minutes on July 21, 2011, starting at 10:33 PM. The glowing orbs were slightly moving to align with each other at the same altitude in a dark desert sky. The glowing oval lights finally lined up, as the remaining circle glowed brightly and disappeared. The witness is not a UFO enthusiast, but her calls to local authorities and military officials were not returned.

Connecticut Glowing Circle

Cheshire -- Out for a walk through our suburban neighborhood with five friends on July 23, 2011, when one pointed to the sky at an orange glowing circle. It was brighter than any star and not blinking, but the same size of the planes. It seemed to hover oddly then fly off across the sky. We followed it past some tree lines and it either vanished or got too far away. Many of the witnesses initially thought it was a crashing plane on fire. It was possibly a meteor but moved too slow and lingered in the sky. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Delaware Flying Triangles

NEWARK -- My boyfriend and I were sitting on our back deck watching the fireworks on July 4, 2011, around 10:15 PM, and looked up to see two triangular orange lights. My boyfriend said, "They're flying in an exact formation without sound, nor blinking lights. He went inside and I was sitting there watching when one flew over. Five minutes later two more also were heading north, showing red or small orange triangular lights. They flew over the house and then seemed to disappear: The above image is a rendering. Florida Circle

Orlando -- The house shook but there was noise so I looked outside and didn't see anything except the automatic lights were on by garage. I went back to bed and this morning on July 22, 2011, I saw this visible circle in the grass outside my living room window that is pretty strange. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kissimmee -I was driving down Marigold Avenue going home in the rain on July 23, 2011, and saw smoke coming from the trees. My fianc called to say, "Our backyard tree was hit by lightning, I continued to look at what I thought was fire, and noticed six bright orange lights, I never saw before, and then noticed they were moving. I pulled to the side of the road to film and started to follow the lights. When got home they were already looking at them. My fianc, daughter, and my son saw them and said that they flew directly over the neighbor's house. When they got higher in the sky they faded away into the clouds. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Illinois Orb

Plainfield -- At first the light, the object looked about half the size the moon usually appears. It was yellowish orange, almost flame like on July 15, 2011, at 8:55 PM. It was moving south and slowly losing altitude. By the time I got out my cell phone to take a video, the light was smaller and stopped moving south and looked to gain altitude straight up. NORTHLAKE -- On July 3, 2011, we were outside enjoying a BBQ when one of our nieces shouted, "Look at that! To our amazement, we saw a black triangle craft at least twice the size of a 747 jumbo jet slowly cruising at 1500 feet off the ground. The object was jet black and made no sound what so ever. We live within five miles of O'Hare International Airport and see jumbo jets taking off and at low altitude every day. This object was at least twice the size of one of these massive jetliners. As we watched with our mouths agape, we saw two silver, cigar shaped objects come up along side of the triangle.

They were only a quarter of the size of the triangle. They stayed parallel to the object for about 20 seconds, and all three accelerated together as one, and were out of sight within a matter of seconds. Five minutes later, we see a group of three military "Blackhawk helicopters fly over. They flew around the neighborhood and headed off to the north following the three objects. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Chicago Skyway -- My wife, daughter, and I were heading towards Gary, Indiana, on July 15, 2011, when my wife told me to look up, because there was a triangle shaped object about a half mile away, and flying in our direction. I looked up and saw many evenly spaced apart lights which were encompassing the entire bottom of the object. The triangle was a couple hundred feet across, and the lights were flashing red from front to back of each individual light. The traffic was heavy, and we were unable to stop and take pictures. We lost sight of the object soon after it passed over head. I did not here any noise coming from the object as it passed over. I was able to look up and notice that I could look through the object between the flashing lights. It did not appear to be a solid object, but possibly a formation of bright red flashing lights.

The sun was beginning to set, and I could not tell if the formations of lights were planes but I have not seen planes flying in such a tight formation with these types of lights. None of lights moved outside of the tight formation. It was as if the lights were connected and moving in unison, yet there were gaps between the lights that you could see the sky above. It looked very odd. I am in the military, and my wife is an attorney. We have never seen anything like that. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Kentucky Two Red Flying Objects

Louisville -- I have never seen a UFO, but my Mother was in the Air Force and has had many UFO sightings. Well tonight July 16, 2011, from 11 to 11:05 PM, I saw two red flying objects. I saw the first one going fast that slowed as I walked outside as if it noticed me as well. I am a Christian and been told that aliens are another form of a demon, so I leave the stuff alone. But it slowed as I watched it carefully. Then a second one appeared right behind it. They both slowed down and seemed to wait for me to move. When I moved to the left they took off. Michigan Light Near Deer

Atlanta -- I am 56 yrs old and have these orbs floating around my 11 acres backyard. I had one drop from the sky right in front of me about 50 feet away. The pictures and videos are taken on deer cams with heat and motion sensors to keep an eye on the deer. I am sending you a picture taken on November 14, 2010, at 5:14 AM. I have never seen that many small orbs at one time. I have been catching orbs about the size of a beach ball.

Note: The witness sent other photos and videos besides what is displayed above. Some photos are quite compelling. The deer quite obviously is reacting to the presence of the light. I don't think that the light is a flashlight because if a person was close by the deer likely would have fled. Maine Ten Orange Objects

Great moose Lake -- We saw ten round objects assemble into a formation and fly over Great Moose Lake near Hartland on July 12, 2011. We got some pictures as they flew in formation for awhile, and then disappeared one at a time. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Minnesota Orange Orb

Brooklyn Park -- I was waiting for my wife at the Target store when I noticed three red orange lights going west. As they came closer they were round and the moved slowly in the night sky about 10 pm. They did not make any noise and stayed on a straight line and spaced pretty even. They were half a block or so apart. There were almost a dozen people watching when I realized they were not planes and started taking pictures using my Canon camera with a 300 mm lens. Minneapolis -- We were getting hit by the biggest storm this summer, and I stepped outside to get some pictures. It wasn't until later, after looking at the photos, that I realized that I had captured something strange.

I have two images that were taken four seconds apart. The second shows numerous "Orbs", I only mention this because the first shot has none visible. It also clearly shows an object moving fast from left to right. The object is bright at the tip and tapers off to a dark tail in the rear. Not sure what it was, but if it had been a meteor, it was very close and would have hit a house and made the news. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Nebraska Disc

KENNESAW— I was taking pictures of storm clouds but no objects were visible until I downloaded the pictures. I got decent pictures on July 3, 2011, and the next night my wife, daughter and I saw seven unexplained lights high up that looked like they were going to a meeting! One was close and bright like a star/diamond. I've had multiple sightings in the Kansas City area since April. One was an orange orb, beach ball size only 25 feet from me. Thanks to MUFON CMS

New Jersey Two Alien Beings Seen Close-Up

Cape May -- My wife and I were on a short vacation at B and B on Beach Avenue with a view of the Atlantic Ocean. I was asleep when I was awakened and opened my eyes and saw two beings standing at the foot of the bed. They were an identical in every way and four and half to five feet tall. They wore black form-fitting outfits that resembled scuba diving suits. On their upper chests was a rectangular, bronze colored plate about 6x4 inches with two rows of inscribed symbols or buttons on them. They were no more than six feet from my face and they were both staring right at me. It was a cool, appraising look like a cat might give you.

Their crania were very large, perhaps twice as large as a man's. They had huge, wraparound black eyes set above high cheekbones. Their skin appeared orange in color. I couldn't detect a well defined mouth or nose, but along the rim of their jaws and down to their chins were some kind of organ-like structures, that were perhaps gills or mandibles? I propped myself up on my elbows to get a better view, and felt no fear. I was about to say something, when I got this very clear thought, "Something is wrong, he sees us." I suddenly became extremely sleepy, and I tried to fight the urge to lie back down, but it was no use. I felt my eyes closing and that was it. The next thing I knew it was morning and I was awakened by the sunlight streaming in through the balcony door. I asked my wife how she had slept and she said it was the best night' sleep she's had in a while. No dreams.

As a child and teenager I was visited frequently and often terrifying. This is the first time as an adult that I had such a clear sighting of these creatures. They moved with military precision and discipline, who had a job to do. They were not there to be my friend or to tell me any of the universe's secrets. They were supremely confident and felt not the slightest fear towards me.

Rockaway BOROUGH -- Rosanna Shaw writes at the Fire Department Fair on July 9, 2011, I saw a large and constant bright red (towards orange) light moving from WSW to ESE at 50 from horizon across the sky. I was with my husband waiting for the fireworks to begin and he also saw it. We were facing east. The time was between 9:15- 9:20 pm. There was no sound or navigation lights. The sighting lasted 30- 45 seconds. It did not originate in the area where the fireworks were to happen and the fireworks did not start until 10:30, even they were scheduled an hour earlier. Many people actually left before the fireworks began due to the excessive delay and no doubt the Fire Department lost money because of this. Thanks to Rosanna Shaw

Nevada Saucer

At 7:50 PM, at July 23, 2011, my son and I were in our backyard when he happened to look up into the sky and noticed a very bright and shiny long white object flying in the blue sky. It was a good sized object as related to an airplane that was also flying near the object. We used my phone to capture still images as well a video that shows the black plane in the frame. New York Triangle

Poughquag -- Large triangular shaped object with steady red, green and white lights glided over my home on July 15, 2011 at 11:23 PM. While lying on my couch watching TV I noticed through my blinds a white bright light in the distance approaching my house. At first I thought it was plane but as the light got closer I jumped up, looked through the window and saw a large triangular shaped object slow and make a long swooping turn, almost as if were gliding. It was dark, but I saw 3 or 4 red, green and white steady lights on the object. This object was way to low to be a plane in my opinion. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Pennsylvania Close Encounter

WATSONTOWN -- My mother said they were watching tv in the middle of a sunny day on July 15, 2011, when all of a sudden it became very dark outside. My mom went to the door to see if a storm was there and she said when she looked up she saw a gray object hovering over the house. The object made a low humming noise; and my father said, "It was larger than football field. Mom said, It hovered for a long time then just sped away very fast. It was also documented in various newspapers from Williamsport to Harrisburg? It's amazing that no-one ever followed up on what this was. I want to know.

Virginia Dim Blue Orb

Lyndhurst-- In March of 2010, I was on my front porch and my wife saw this bright glow in the east that remained stationery for about 35 minutes. Twenty minutes later the glow flickered and appeared dim blue, then went to bright white again. So I grabbed my Kodak c-310 camera and took these photos.

I worked as an airline trainer for airlines and I am familiar with most aircraft. I know this was not the Moon, Venus, or any aircraft I can identify. Thanks to MUFON CMS

Washington Flying Object

Marysville -- Upon leaving the Quill Ceda Casino on July 23, 2011, I witnessed two objects going south and directly over my head. They flew straight up at 12:07 AM. These objects were lower than of an incoming airplane. I have seen a number of objects I can't explain, but these objects looked different than the ones I have seen before. They were an odd shade of red and silent and the shape wasn't uniform. Witnesses gave me the classic, "I am afraid and I don't know what that is. I had a hard time manipulating my new IPhone, but managed to take a picture of the second object that was as big as a 737 aircraft.

Note: I know this witness and she is reliable. She sometimes feels that she can predict the appearance of UFO and had a sensation on this occasion. It was about 1/3 the size of a full moon. Australian UFO Armada

GRAFTON N.S.W. -- Researcher Barry Taylor reports that a formation of twelve to fifteen UFOs were observed on July 11, 1998, at 6:11 PM. The white illuminated objects were at 40,000+ feet and moving fast in a "V" formation surrounded by a white haze. They were plainly visible against the stars moving south at 10,000 klm / hr. I videotaped the "V" formation for three seconds in the clip. Unfortunately, they are only seen faintly on the original tape. Five minutes later, while observing the northern sky, 200 white illuminated objects surrounded by a fairly bright white haze was seen moving east at 40,000 feet altitude. Bryan Dickeson of UFOR calculated their speed at 6500 to 6900 mph. This current "Armada" of UFO's arrived at Earth on April 6, and departed on July 11, 1998. Canada Huge Light

Moncton, New Brunswick -- Carol and Leo write, "On July 19, 2011, we saw two UFOs; a black dot was near a cloud and after two minutes it turned very bright and flew away. As it climbed the light got very bright and super big before it disappeared. There was no motor sound and no blinking lights. After 30 minutes at very low altitude below the cloud the bright light just appeared in the clear sky flying fast toward the airport. It turned and flew up as the light became super bright and very big. I know it was UFO. They were the same as last two years UFOs that flew around my car. I think the technology was like a plane. India UFO

New Delhi -- Last night, my brother and I were sitting in the balcony of our house when we saw a yellow light coming from a distance flying very low. It made no noise as it closely passed over our house gliding very slowly. We could see yellow light, it was not blinking at all, but could not see any big discs or vehicle, just a gliding light.

Just after five minutes an aircraft passed over our house making noise which can be heard from a distance. It was flying the standard route for aircrafts to pass over our house every five minutes. But strangely, the light took its own time to glide by within the five minutes time before the aircraft's usual route. Both of us were wondering if what we saw was a UFO?

Note: Thanks for your sighting report. Yes, it sounds like you saw an unidentified flying object or UFO. You apparently know what normal aircraft look and sound like, so it was not one of these. This apparently was very different. Some UFOs seem to be electrical plasmas and under the right conditions, jet aircraft can produce electrical plasmas that slowly follow aircraft. However, alien UFOs often like to fly in similar routes to aircraft because they are less likely to be noticed. Keep watching the skies.

UK/ England Disc

BANBURY -- I used to cycle back home from work on my cycle through dark unlit country roads in October of 1999. I was heading west along Welsh Road I saw an object about the size of a UK water tower. The light that appeared to circle around the object gave it a disc like appearance. They were vertical deep red lights and reminded me of a florescent bulb orbiting the object. The Investigation into the Aztec Incident; The Last Leg of the Journey

Warm Up the Presses

Although our decade’s long investigation is nearing its end, and will culminate in the form of a book to be released later this summer, the work is continuing right up to the last minute.

Information uncovered within the last year necessitated one final trip to the Southwest. This last jaunt took place primarily in Arizona as we were visiting various locations there.

Historian and aviation researcher Mike Price and I met with Dr. Frank Thayer, journalism professor at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, and former department head. Dr. Thayer has been an enormous help in our research and his skills in editing our new book have been invaluable; he wanted to join us on what we think is the last major excursion before we hit the "print button" for our tome.

Once the boots-on-the-ground investigation was completed (re our newly uncovered information), we had the pleasure of meeting with J. Andy Kissner, the former State Representative from New Mexico, who has helped me with research on Aztec in the past.

Andy was also integral to former New Mexico Senator Steven Schiff’s investigation into the Roswell Incident, which involved an audit of the files of various military agencies, beginning with the Air Force—this was conducted by the General Accounting Office (GAO). The investigation ended with the GAO having more questions than answers as many documents were missing and presumed destroyed at some point.

We also had time to see Mike Fortson, one of the key witnesses to the Phoenix Lights case back in 1997. Mike and I have met before, but Mike Price and Dr. Thayer had never had the privilege. We had an enjoyable time sharing research (in general) as well as bringing Mike up to speed on the last stages of the book.

20 Years Later, the Two Veteran Researchers Finally Meet

Following our stay in Arizona, we (Mike Price and I) were off to the west coast to meet with author/researcher Bill Steinman (Dr Thayer would make his way back to New Mexico). As the book is nearing fruition, I had made up my mind sometime back that a face-to-face meeting with Bill was paramount before the book goes to press.

I read Bill's book UFO Crash at Aztec back in 1991 after I had been researching the Aztec case for several years; I had not been aware of Bill's work until someone gave me a copy of the book and it wasn’t long before I contacted him.

This had been a long journey for me, as although I had been in communication with Bill for twenty years—we had never met. Going back in time for a moment, the “first’ conversation with him was quick and to the point; although he was cordial it was clear he didn’t take my interest seriously, or more to the point—like a few before me, he presumed “I wasn’t serious about Aztec research” and would soon lose interest. He instructed me to call him when I had more years under my belt! I explained to him that I first heard about the Aztec case back in the late 80's, but this fell on deaf ears, and he basically "sent me packing".

Given my business background, hearing “no’s” or receiving less then desired results in initial introductions or meetings, I wasn’t deterred; in fact—quite the opposite! Within a few months he slowly started to warm up to me, and my research; we were soon brain-storming new ideas and he ended up giving me a few leads that he received after his book came out (important to remember that he is/was retired from UFO research at this time). We’ve been friends ever since.

Even when Bill was still actively involved in research, as a rule he didn’t give interviews, and in that vein, this meeting was a rare privilege. Although Ufology is behind him, he is still active in research of another flavor, as he is currently working on a new book entitled, The History of Rock and Roll.

He and his wife were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed our meeting; Bill was equally intrigued with our new revelations ala Aztec, as we were recounting the facts published in his book and well as some minutia that was left out, or was learned later.

As I stated earlier, (after our initial conversation) Bill has always had the time to listen to what I have found and compared it to what he learned over the years, as well. His book is probably more popular today than when it came out back in 1987. The Aztec case had been written off over the years but Bill picked up where Frank Scully left off. The interest seemed "light" until a few years ago when people started looking at the events in deeper detail.

To our delight, before we parted company, Bill gave Mike and me a set of audio tapes of different people connected to Aztec that he recorded back in the ‘80's, and these interviews never made it into the book or have never been heard by the public. As our book goes to the final stages of editing by the talents of Dr. Thayer, I am listening to these tapes to see if anything needs to be inserted into our book at the last minute.

As if that wasn’t enough, the final gift granted by Bill, was his agreeing to write the preface for our book (the foreword is written by Stanton Friedman).

In the aftermath of our insightful, most rewarding meeting, on the flight home, I couldn’t help but reflect on the void that exists in Ufology without the likes of Bill Steinman being an active participant in it.

On a final note: traveling and doing research is not easy work; the past two years I have been blessed by having Mike Price along for the help. Mike can appreciate the long hours and sometimes "dusty" tasks of digging into old boxes. Moreover, our wives have held down the Forts or Farms while Mike and I were gone, and we certainly were thankful for their help.


I’d like to express my personal thanks to Dr. Frank Thayer for joining us in our last major road trip as well.

Ex-Astronaut Story Musgrave: ETs Exist, They're Just Not Visiting Earth

When former astronaut Story Musgrave addresses an expected huge throng of UFO believers in California next week, he'll delight the crowd when he tells them he believes we're not alone in the universe.

But then he's going to tell members of the Mutual UFO Network -- the largest UFO research organization in the world -- just what they don't want to hear: Earth has probably not been visited by extraterrestrials.

And that's bound to disappoint many of the paying crowd at the 42nd annual MUFON Symposium in Irvine, Calif. The gathering will feature nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, former Air Force intelligence officer George Filer and other prominent UFO researchers.

"I'm going to tell them that, for me, and my interpretation of everything that's come my way, I cannot arrive at the idea that we have been visited -- either in the past or now," Musgrave told The Huffington Post.

Musgrave -- who logged 25 million miles during six space shuttle missions and who developed the spacesuit that was used by shuttle astronauts for space walks -- says that, despite dozens of military eyewitnesses, photos, films and corroborating radar reports, he's still not convinced.

"Some astronauts have been quoted as saying they think they're [aliens] out there -- I have seen their evidence, and for me, it's not evidence," he said. "Other astronauts were not able to provide me with any empirical evidence, either."

Musgrave is the keynote speaker at the MUFON event. During his many years with NASA, he says he actually looked for evidence of a UFO conspiracy from within the space agency and the government.

"I've been as deep in the military as you can go. I was Marine Corps and Air Force and spent all this time with the government -- I was on two classified department of defense missions, which got me as deep in the bowels of the military and the intelligence community as you can go," he insisted.

"I found no conspiracy in terms of covering up information about extraterrestrial visits. I simply didn't find it!"

The theme for the upcoming UFO symposium is "ET Contact: The Implications for Science and Society" and features a roster of speakers presenting subjects such as UFO disclosure, life on Mars, time travel, anti-gravity propulsion systems, government conspiracies and how alien contact would affect science, technology and religion.

MUFON's international director, Clifford Clift, isn't concerned that Musgrave's not supporting the aliens-are-here theory.

"Sometimes we get too close to the subject and should realize that we need to step back and look at the different approach to the science of this," Clift told The Huffington Post.

"I think Story will enlighten us that way. That doesn't mean that they don't exist, because I'm quite certain that he's going to say he's never seen [a UFO]. But that's okay. If he stays around for the rest of the conversations and talks to some of the witnesses, he might have a little different approach to it."

But while Musgrave doesn't think Earth has been a vacation spot on any alien itinerary, he's pretty adamant that intelligent beings are thriving elsewhere in the cosmos.

"I feel that they're everywhere out there and they're doing interstellar travel -- we'll think differently about ourselves once we accept that," he said.

TEST BEVESTIGT DAT ROSWELL BROKSTUKKEN NIET VAN DE AARDE AFKOMSTIG ZIJN

Een docent aan het New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell heeft waarschijnlijk het eerste wetenschappelijk bewijs gevonden van industrieel vervaardigde brokstukken afkomstig van een andere planeet. Bovendien werden de brokstukken gevonden op de locatie in de buurt van Roswell waar in 1947 de wrakstukken van een beweerde vliegende schotel werden ontdekt.

Frank Kimbler geeft op het New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell op high school niveau les in geowetenschap en op collegeniveau in geologie. Hij zegt dat hij altijd al geïnteresseerd is geweest in UFO’s en in feite een eigen ongewone waarneming deed toen hij in de twintig was. Dus toen hij naar Roswell verhuisde besloot hij zijn vakkennis te testen en probeerde het meest beroemde UFO-incident aller tijden te onderzoeken, namelijk de crash bij Roswell.

Hij zegt dat zijn hoofddoel was om wat fysiek bewijs te vinden. Hij begon met het bekijken van satellietfoto’s van het beweerde wrakveld. Dat is waar rancher Mac Brazel de luchtmacht wees op de stukken van een gecrasht object welke hij had gevonden. Kimbler gebruikte deze foto’s om het infrarood te verhogen om zodoende de gebieden naar voren te halen die waren verstoord. Hij was verrast een gebied te vinden dat gelijk was aan wat de getuigen hadden verteld. Het was ongeveer driekwart mijl lang en een paar honderd voet breed en het lag in de richting zoals de getuigen dat hadden aangegeven. Het viel hem ook op dat het gebied zeer strakke randen had, iets dat ongewoon is voor een natuurlijk gebied.

Zijn volgende stap was om erheen te gaan met een metaaldetector om te kijken of hij wat kon vinden. Hij begon de plek te bezoeken in mei 2010. Hij gebruikte een metaaldetector die stukjes kon vinden met de afmetingen van 6mm op een diepte van 8cm in de grond, daarmee kon hij de kleinste stukjes vinden en dat was zijn doel. Tijdens eerdere archeologische opgravingen had men de grond gezeefd in zeven die groot genoeg waren om de kleine deeltjes erdoor te laten vallen. Kimbler vond dat als er iets was achtergebleven het heel klein moest zijn en misschien te vinden was in holletjes van dieren of mierenhopen. En het was in feite een mierenhoop waarin hij zijn eerste stukje vond.

Wat hij vond was een zilverig metaal dat op aluminium leek. Dat was vreemd omdat er geen aanwijzingen waren dat er enige aluminium objecten in het gebied waren of waren geweest. Hij vond ook af en toe tin, dat kon afkomstig zijn van de tinnen daken die soms in de rondte vlogen, en enkele spijkers. Uiteindelijk vond hij meer van deze zilverachtige stukjes en hij zegt dat ze er verscheurd uitzagen. Sommige randen ervan leken gesmolten te zijn. Hij vond ook aluminium knopen die eruit zagen als de modellen die werden gebruikt op militaire werktenues van eind jaren ’40. Als dat zo is, dan toont dat aan dat het leger in dat gebied was.

Kimbler vond dat de kleine zilverachtige stukjes interessant genoeg waren voor een verdere analyse. Hij ging voor hulp naar het Roswell International UFO Museum and Research Center. Gevestigd in het centrum van Roswell is het museum het middelpunt van het onderzoek naar de Roswell-crash. Hij liet het materiaal zien aan de directeur van het museum, Julie Shuster, en was in staat onderzoeker Don Schmitt te ontmoeten. Zij besloten de eerste test te betalen die werd uitgevoerd door New Mexico Tech in Socorro. Door gebruik te maken van een micro-probe waren ze in staat de samenstelling van het materiaal vast te stellen. Het bleek te gaan om een legering van aluminium, silicium, mangaan, magnesium en koper. Dat is niet onbekend, maar het wordt gebruikt in de constructiebouw en wordt normaal niet gevonden in de vorm van een folie.

Dat inspireerde Kimbler om wat isotopenwerk op het stukje te laten doen. Kimbler zegt dat het isotopenwerk zo belangrijk is omdat de isotopenverhoudingen ‘vergelijkbaar zijn met onze vingerafdrukken’. Sommige concentraties van elementen op aarde zijn uniek voor deze aarde. Dus als je de isotopenverhouding voor magnesium weet, dan zal die voor alles op aarde waar magnesium in zit hetzelfde zijn, maar als het niet van deze aarde is, dan zal het een andere isotopenverhouding hebben. Bijvoorbeeld meteorieten hebben verschillenden verhoudingen omdat ze niet van deze aarde afkomstig zijn. Isotopenanalyse is noodzakelijk om vast te stellen of een materiaal afkomstig is van de aarde of van een andere wereld.

Kimbler ging naar het University of New Mexico Institute of Meteoritics en sprak met hun expert op het gebied van isotopen om een analyse gedaan te krijgen. Kimbler had de expert niets verteld over de monsters. De expert keek Kimbler echter recht in de ogen en vertelde hem dat de enige reden waarom hij het materiaal wilde testen was omdat hij vermoedde dat het vanuit de ruimte kwam. Hij wilde weten waar het materiaal vandaan kwam en toen Kimbler hem dat vertelde weigerde hij de test te doen, hij beweerde dat het idee van een ruimteschip dat bij Roswell was gecrasht ‘grote nonsens’ was. Eén van de andere wetenschappers die in het kantoor aanwezig was, wees erop dat als het iets ongewoons was, het belang van die mogelijkheid het het waard maakte om ernaar te kijken. De expert bleef echter bij zijn mening en weigerde het werk te doen. De tweede wetenschapper was micro-probe specialist aan de universiteit en ondanks dat hij geen isotopenwerk kon uitvoeren, was hij wel in staat meer specifieke informatie over de samenstelling van het materiaal te verkrijgen en bevestigde het eerdere werk dat al gedaan was.

Bigelowe Aerospace toonde enige interesse en wilde Kimbler wel helpen met zijn analyse, maar nadat men maanden bezig was geweest en weinig resultaat boekte moest Kimbler ergens anders naartoe. Kimbler was in staat een ander laboratorium met vele bevoegdheden te vinden en dat bereid was het werk uit te voeren. Het UFO-museum bracht het geld bijeen en de resultaten waren binnen vijf dagen bekend. Kimbler zegt dat hij bijna onderuit ging toen hij de uitkomsten zag. De verhoudingen weken af en zoals hij het brengt zijn er slechts twee antwoorden om de resultaten te verklaren: “Of het lab maakte een analytische fout, of het materiaal is niet van deze aarde.”

Magnesium isotopenopdelinggrafiek aangepast aan de grafiek die werd gebruikt door Dr. Peter Sturrock bij zijn analyse van het Ubatuba UFO-fragment. Magnesiumhoudende samenstellingen, metalen en mineralen horen allemaal zeer dicht bij de lijn te liggen. Een chondriet is een soort meteoriet en omdat het niet van de aarde afkomstig is ligt het niet op de lijn. De Roswell AH-1 legering ligt zelfs een heel eind van de lijn af. De AH-1 curve is een anomalie die of een analytische fout is, of het materiaal is niet van de aarde. Meer testen zijn nodig om de gegevens te verifiëren om te zien of het een fout is of dat het niet van de aarde afkomstig is. (Afb: Frank Kimbler)

Kimbler’s werk is echter niet klaar. Hij zegt: “Volgens het protocol van de goede wetenschappelijke methode is één set gegevens niet voldoende.” Om aan te tonen dat het lab geen fout heeft gemaakt moet er meer werk gedaan worden. Hij zegt dat hij nog twee gecertificeerde laboratoria heeft die meer isotopentesten kunnen doen om het werk dat tot nu toe is gedaan te bevestigen en dat hij dat werk mogelijk in de komende weken laat doen. Kimbler zegt dat om te bevestigen dat het materiaal niet van de aarde is, het noodzakelijk is dat twee of drie laboratoria met dezelfde resultaten komen.

Een ander belangrijk aspect van het materiaal is dat het aluminium is, en een niet-aardse oorsprong toont, en aluminium moet vervaardigd worden. Anders dan enkele natuurlijke elementen, zoals goud en zilver dat in een ruwe vorm gevonden kan worden als klompjes, wordt aluminium niet in de natuur gevonden. Als wordt bewezen dat dit materiaal niet van de aarde afkomstig is, dan betekent dat, dat dit iets is dat ergens anders werd vervaardigd. Tot nu toe vervaardigt de mens nog niets in de ruimte, laat staan dat er iets uit de lucht valt en landt buiten Roswell op een locatie waarvan wordt beweerd dat er in 1947 een ruimteschip werd gevonden.

Kimbler zegt dat hij heel voorzichtig is met het doen van definitieve beweringen, maar hij is ‘hoopvol’. Hij zegt dat gecertificeerde laboratoria normaal gesproken geen fouten maken en dat de mensen die het werk deden behoren tot de besten op dat gebied.

De gevolgtrekkingen zijn natuurlijk opzienbarend als blijkt dat het materiaal van buitenaardse herkomst en makelij is. Kan hij in het bezit zijn van de smoking gun die bewijst dat we werden bezocht door een intelligente beschaving van een andere planeet en dat zij in 1947 in de buurt van Roswell crashten? Kimbler zegt dat hij ons op de hoogte zal houden en hij was zo hoffelijk om ons de foto’s van het materiaal en de gegevens van de analyse te verschaffen.
