Vanavond als de kindjes weg zijn kan ik het vertalen naar het nederlands. Toch snel eventjes op mijn blog zetten. Het gerecht werkt er blijkbaar sneller dan bij ons! Ik hoop dat ze hem opsluiten en de sleutel weggooien.

A MAN appeared before magistrates charged with the attempted murder of a social worker.
East Durham man Graham Burton appeared before Peterlee magistrates and was remanded in custody. Mother-of-three Clare Sellwood suffered stab wounds to her chest, back and forearm during the alleged attack at Glendene School and Community Arts College, Easington Colliery, last Friday, the court heard. She was taken to the University Hospital of Hartlepool and, following emergency surgery, was transferred to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, where her condition has been described as serious but improving. Burton, of Hill Crescent, Murton, is yet to enter a plea to the charge and the case was adjourned until next Monday, October 30, for a preliminary hearing at Newcastle Crown Court. The 40-year-old was remanded in custody until then.

Man charged with attempted murder
A MAN was due in court today charged with attempting to kill a social worker.
The 40-year-old was due before Peterlee magistrates charged with the attempted murder of a social worker at Glendene School, in Easington Colliery. The mother of three, who works for Durham County Council's social services, was due to attend a meeting with a pupil, family members and school staff, when she was stabbed several times. The 36-year-old, from Chester-le-Street, was taken to the University Hospital of Hartlepool with the knife still embedded in her back. Following emergency surgery she was transported to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, in a critical but stable condition. The man, from Murton, was arrested and, after questioning at Peterlee Police Station, was charged. A spokesman for Peterlee Police said: "The man arrested in connection with the incident at Glendene School, in Easington, on Friday has now been charged with attempted murder and will appear before North Durham Magistrates sitting in Peterlee."
