122 exposanten op Brusselse kunst- en antiekbeurs BRAFA
De 57ste editie van BRAFA (Brussels Antiques and Fine Arts Fair), die
loopt van 21 tot 29 januari, is officieel voorgesteld in Tour &
Taxis. De kunst- en antiekbeurs biedt plaats aan 122 exposanten uit
twaalf landen. De organisatoren mikken net zoals vorig jaar op 40.000
bezoekers, meldt persverantwoordelijke Bruno NĂ©lis van BRAFA.
Het kunstevenement biedt een ruime waaier aan oude en moderne
schilderijen, etnische kunst, archeologie, juwelen, meubels, decoratieve
kunst uit de twintigste eeuw, middeleeuwse kunst, tekeningen, gravures
en aquarellen, strips, tapijten en wandtapijten, oude munten, enz. Bij
de schilderijen geldt onder meer werk van Jan Brueghel de Jonge, Jan
Brueghel de Oude, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, James Ensor en Marie Laurencin
als blikvanger. Ook de Afrikaanse kunst is goed vertegenwoordigd met
onder meer een Pwo-masker bij de stand van Adrian Schlag en
byeri-reliekbewaker van galerie Jacques Germain en een Ekoi-monoliet in
steen uit Nigeria van Claes Gallery. De plechtige opening werd
bijgewoond door prinses Astrid en haar dochter prinses Maria Laura. Ze
kregen onder meer een rondleiding op de stand van de Koning
Boudewijnstichting, eregast van BRAFA, die uitpakt met een aantal
meesterwerken uit de collectie van haar Erfgoedfonds. Voor het
grote publiek is de 57ste editie van BRAFA geopend van 21 tot 29
januari. Opvallend is dat de 14.400 vierkante meter
tentoonstellingsruimte volledig werd heringedeeld. Meer informatie op
