Rijksmuseum Amsterdam na tien jaar weer open
Na een verbouwing van bijna tien jaar gaat het Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam vandaag weer open. Tegen het middaguur treden op het Museumplein twaalf fanfares op, uit elke Nederlandse provincie één. Kort daarna betreedt koningin Beatrix een meterslange oranje loper om het museum "terug te geven aan het publiek".
Voor de openingsceremonie krijgt de Nederlandse vorstin een besloten rondleiding door het vernieuwde museum, met optredens van trompettist Eric Vloeimans en het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble. Schrijver Remco Campert zal een gedicht voordragen.
Na de ceremonie mogen bezoekers tot middernacht gratis naar binnen voor een rondleiding langs de hoogtepunten, zoals het wereldberoemde schilderij van Rembrandt: 'De Nachtwacht'. Er kunnen maximaal 30.000 mensen binnen.
Op zondag gaat het museum vanaf 9 uur 'gewoon' open aan het reguliere tarief van 15 euro. In de voorverkoop zijn al ruim 75.000 kaarten verkocht. De zenders AVRO en NOS zullen vanmiddag en -avond met drie tv-programma's en een radioprogramma uitgebreid aandacht schenken aan de heropening. (br.hln)
