Man krijgt 35.000 dollar voor horloge rommelmarkt
Een man die op een rommelmarkt in het Amerikaanse Phoenix een horloge wist te bemachtigen voor slechts 5,99 dollar, heeft het zeldzame Zwitserse uurwerk verkocht voor maar liefst 35.000 dollar (32.000 euro).
Zach Norris was afgelopen maand op zoek naar een tweedehands golfkarretje toen zijn blik op de verzameling horloges viel. Tussen de rommel ontwaarde hij een 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre duikhorloge, zo zei hij tegen KTVK-TV.
"Ik ben wel vaker enthousiast geweest over dingen die ik tussen de rommel aantrof, maar dit is echt heel speciaal", zo zei Norris. Het horloge was zichtbaar gedragen, maar nog steeds in goede staat.
Norris maakte zijn vondst bekend op een website voor horlogeverzamelaars, waarna een liefhebber uit San Francisco er 35.000 dollar voor bood, plus een minder waardevol horloge.
Norris zei dat hij het geld wil gebruiken om zijn bruiloft te betalen. (br.hln)
