Knappe tennisbabes mogen op Centre Court in Wimbledon
De Roemeense Sorana Cirstea mocht vorige week aantreden op Centre Court.
De organisatie van Wimbledon heeft een opvallende onthulling gedaan:
niet alleen talent, maar ook uiterlijk speelt een belangrijke rol bij
de keuze van wie op Centre Court mag spelen. En dat viel tijdens de
eerste week ook op, want de belangrijkste court op Wimbledon
verwelkomde heel wat laag gerangschikte dames.

Verbannen Bij
de mannen spelen Roger Federer en thuisspeler Andy Murray elke partij
op het heilige gras van Centre Court. Maar bij de vrouwen worden
topspeelsters wel vaker naar andere courts verbannen. Nummer 5 Svetlana
Kuznetsova speelde op court 1, terwijl nummer 1 Dinara Safina en nummer
2 Serena Williams op court 2 moesten aantreden.

voorkeur zal altijd naar een Brit of een babe gaan als dat goede
kijkcijfers geeft." Vorige week stond de Roemeense Sorana Cirstea
(nummer 28) tegen Victoria Azarenka op Centre Court. En hoewel Maria
Sharapova (nummer 60) en Maria Kirilenko (nummer 59) al ver zijn
weggezakt, zijn ze toch nog steeds welkom op Centre Court. (br.hln)
