Britse vrouwen zeulen voor gemiddeld 300 euro mee aan make-up overal met hen mee in hun handtas. 


De gemiddelde make-uptas bevat 13 zogenaamd essentiële producten, elk is gemiddeld 23,5 euro waard. Dit betekent dat de make-upcollectie van vrouwen meer waard is dan haar gsm of fototoestel. 95 procent van de vrouwen zegt dat ze het huis niet verlaat zonder haar mascara, bijna 80 procent heeft altijd haar favoriete parfum bij en bij drie vierde zit steeds foundation in haar handtas, dat blijkt uit een enquête van de Britse winkelketen Debenhams. Jongedames tussen 18 en 25 jaar dragen het meeste make-up mee, de collectie cosmetica van zakenvrouwen tussen 35 en 44 jaar is het meeste waard. We dragen het meeste make-up op een maandag.  Vrouwen brengen op vrijdag 17 uur het vaakst een nieuwe laag aan, om zich klaar te maken voor een avondje uit.
