SCOTCH & SODA EXPANDS ITS ACCESSORY CATEGORY.
Amsterdam-based fashion brand Scotch & Soda launches three new bag styles to celebrate its new brand identity: The Jordaan – offered in two versions – a faux leather shoulder bag and a crossbody flap bag, as well as The Centraal, a functional foldable tote made with recycled nylon.
Inspired by the free spirit of Amsterdam, the new bags combine functionality with modern design, and display Scotch & Soda’s iconic new ampersand logo. Embracing the symbol of unity at the heart of the brand’s name, the ampersand follows the delicate movement of a thread attached to the eye of a needle, nodding to the craftsmanship that goes into the collections. Scotch & Soda’s new brand identity is featured across the brand’s collections, starting with the new line of bags and the Spring 2022 collection. This follows the launch earlier this year of the Scotch & Soda’s new “Free Spirit” store design concept and the re-designing of the brand’s online store.
Celebrating an iconic district in Amsterdam’s historical canal ring, The Jordaan is the brand’s new go-to bag available in two versions: a small shoulder bag, as well as a medium-sized crossbody flap bag, both characterized by the bold chrome chain featuring the brand’s newly redesigned ampersand.
The Jordaan shoulder bag offers a versatile, edgy day-to-night option. Thanks to its small size and design, it will easily fit on-the-go essentials. Made from faux leather, the reporter bag features a double zip closure, an adjustable shoulder strap and the bold chrome chain. The brand’s new logo is also subtly embossed on the front of the bag. Available in five colourways (black, bordeaux, cognac, beige, and fuchsia), it will retail for €119,95
The Jordaan also comes as a crossbody flap bag – a modern take on a classic style. Easily transitioning from day to night, the bag makes a statement with its bold logo chain. Also made from faux leather, it features an envelope flap closure with the brand’s new logo subtly embossed and a removable shoulder strap. The crossbody bag will be available in three colourways (black, grey, and black/grey) and will retail for €149,95.
The Centraal, the brand’s new foldaway tote bag, offers a uniquely functional option for everyday use. Named after Amsterdam Centraal – the central train station at the heart of the city – The Centraal evokes practicality wherever you need to go. Its two short handles, zipper, small inside pocket and structured, padded base make it suitable for both daily wear and weekend trips. The bag’s functional design allows it to be easily rolled up, when not in use, and secured with a special snap button on the faux leather bottom, which displays Scotch & Soda’s embossed logo. The tote bag will be available in six colourways (black, midnight blue, army green, brown, yellow, and pink), made with 50% recycled nylon, and will retail for €79,95.
Launched on December 6th, the three new bags are available exclusively in Scotch & Soda stores as well as on www.scotch-soda.com for the first season.
